The approaching riders detected earlier have entered visual range. Confirmed as six (6) horsemen, large humans, armored with chainmail and five (5) armed with lances. One (1) is armed with a shortbow. Swords and axes are carried but not in hand.

Riders have arrived and approach crossroads. One spots your hiding location and gives a shout. The riders charge down off the road and into the clearing toward your position. The bowman is preparing to fire at you. Rider distance: 160 ft.

Use stones and similar projectiles to incapacitate hostile targets, compensating for slightly above-standard gravity when making kinetic/ballistic calculations.

Lancers to be considered high-threat and neutralised from a distance if possible; combined momentum of rider and mount transmitted through lance poses severe threat to endoskeletal integrity.

So lets armor ourselves up, and try to help these people get to town? We may not be necessarily sympathetic, but since these people view us as a friend they are more likely to help us learn the language as well as where and when we are. They should be prioritized as protected individuals.

We obviously can't use the horse, we're too heavy. Give it to the people we saved, maybe we can build a slat or something to help carry the wounded man.
