03/07/10(Sun)23:30 No.8463276"Another reason that we shouldn't have sent off the Normandy-"
They had reached the entrance to the skyway, and were staring at the Mako wreck.
"It'll probably take a while for us to walk back to the colony," Garrus glanced over at Xepard, "Too bad the area was waaaaaaaay too risky for the frigate, huh?"
"Funny. Keep walking, unless you wouldn't happen to be able to rebuild a wheel drive, Shepard?"
The vacant face glanced over, before turning back to the skyway head, and strode on.
By the time they had reached the colony, the planet's face had nearly entirely turned from its star. Long shadows cast by the vast prothean towers stretched across the red dimmed landscape, scratches from fingernails long past.
"When we go in, don't go looking for fights- just try to find a way to the Thorian. The ship leaving might have set them off, but hopefully, we won't have to resort to violence. They're just being puppeteered after all," Xepard stood next to the entrance, changing his rounds to anti personnel. "And if they shoot first?" Ajli asked. "Make sure you shoot better," Xepard responded. "Hang on Xepard, reportedly, their nervous systems are weakened, vulnerable to stimuli, if you give me some time-" "Shepard, we don't have time for this, and I'm not putting my squad at risk. There's only four of us, and thirty of them. The odds aren't very good as it is." "Those are colonists Xepard, not soldiers. Let me go first, no one wants a massacre here after all. Let me take the risk Xepard, I can do this."
Xepard's four eyes locked on the burning two of Shepard's optics...Before eventually Xepard nodded.
"Fine, transhume. I'll give you ten minutes. See if you can save the colonists, but if you die, you'll get no tears from me."
Ten minutes later, Shepard gave the all clear. |
