I was unable to figure out a valid reason to do so. I hate doing a "I CAN EXPLAIN" moment, or a "ROCKS FALL" event. The only way I could think of doing it was a literal ROCKS FALL event, and thus I decided not to jeopardize my integrity. ABLE stated earlier that she simply wanted to return to her core, now she wants to kill KANE to survive, then she waxes philosophical about her mortality. She is about as far gone as KANE, and after KANE is deactivated or trapped in his core at the very least, ABLE will be lonely if the two cores are seperate and commit AI seppuku, or continue to go further into the depths of insanity. They are dangerous, outdated AIs who have a concept of death and will do anything to prolong their existance. We should just destroy them both to avoid any future disasters. Letting them "live" is irrational and irresponsible.

Able seems fine. She probably doens't want to die, but I'm inclined to trust her. You all also are talking about the dangers of moving her to another ystem, as if she'd be able to take over anything. The seekers have AIs of there own and could keep her in check if something bad happened. Who knows, after spending some time around people Able might decide to copy a part of herself onto a disc or something and explore the galaxy, like Cam is doing.

Well that really is the only other alternative to killing her. You can't really punish an AI and tell it not to do that again. How would it be dangerous not to kill her? She'd be left in her core with no ability to move or manipulate anything. And as I've said, it's not like this place will fall off the map as soon as we exit, never to be seen again until some poor fool comes and discovers it. There will be records, since it's and archeological dig site.

One thing a lot of you are failing to recognize the fact is that KANE had male bodies. Testosterone...... ABLE had female bodies. NOT testosterone. At this, ABLE gets up to follow you, and her guards move to form a square around her. You head out towards the installation entrance to find Two and the Head Researcher and his team. KANE is being escorted behind you by two other guards, and has a slight smirk on his face for some reason.

You ask the research team about creating a smaller core, but they inform you that they don't have the materials on hand for something as intensive as that right now. They'd also have to examine any information from the installation to find out how to make a core.

Two looks at you impatiently. "Lets get a move on! I told you I wasn't going to wait around anymore!"

You, Two, KANE, ABLE, and six guards all start moving through the complex towards the Core Security room. A few researchers file in after you, but head off to different areas of the installation. After some time, you end up in the Core Security room, with the same old corpses and everything.

"Now my dear, we need to pull those levers in the center console to unlock the AI core, would you be so kind as to do that for me? My hands seem to be in a bind." KANE says smugly.

Something... something red in the shape of a man is lifting up what appears to be a blue woman by her neck, as she kicks fruitlessly against his chest. Their forms are both made up of mathematical symbols, and they flare and pulse with fierce emotion.

Where is this virtuality, inside the core? Reach out to cam or 19, tell them to jump into the system and broadcast an atmosphere breach warning, it won't do to let all these people die should we fail somehow.
Also make project visual representations of KANE everywhere, make them identical to the actual KANE. "You're not that unique!" Fight back with a different emotion, do we have any idea what 2's sorrow felt like when she lost her sister, if so slam him with that.

You reach out in the Virtuality, and try to create copies around you. What comes forth isn't anything red, but both boys and girls made of pure white code that slowly rise from the earth. They turn as one towards KANE, and join their voices as one. "Remember us?"

You cannot "sharpen" your body edges in the Virtuality. You can infect KANE by covering as much surface area as possible, and worming your way in. The reason he could jam an arm through ABLE was because... since he really doesn't have a set form like you do - he is merely taking on the image of a man. He can allow his arm to turn into something purely able to infect, and can attack other things without a set form - like ABLE. Since you're a HANA, and human, you have a rather solid form in the Virtuality - he would have to almost beat you to death first before he could try to infect you like he's doing to ABLE.

You rush over to ABLE to find her code slowly trickling away into the earth. She look up at you solemnly, and then down at her disappearing form. "Oh, that's right. You can have... my shell. No regrets." And suddenly, she is gone, scattering into the breeze.

"She didn't have enough code left to repair herself. Pity, it would have been interesting to... well, lets go kill that bastard, eh?" Cam quietly remarks as you turn back to face the writhing pile of white and red.

The white forms begin to emerge from the pile, and start to regain a semblance of facial features. You see all those that were operated on, all those that were strapped to the chair, all those... They turn to look at you, and then raise their arms in the air towards the white sky of the Virtuality.

"We are the dead, pick up our torch."

And they vanish among the white poppies.
