You are a (shiny female) Charmander. You and your Magnemite and Snover companions have just escaped from the underwater lab in which you were hatched, but has been taken over by a mysterious entity that came out of a computer and killed every human in the building by flooding it with toxic gas. Now you stand on a small pier jutting out of the water. Right in front of you, at the end of the pier, is a small black boat.

    Inventory: Two occupied Pokeballs.
    Stats: Level 8 Charmander w. Scratch/Growl/Ember, Level 7 Magnemite w. Tackle/Metal Sound/Thundershock, Level 7 Snover w. Powder Snow/Leer/Razor Leaf.

    What do?
    >> Anonymous 01/09/10(Sat)13:03 No.7506955
Is there any metal in the boat?

If so, get in, have the metal one use magentic energy to propel it towards land.

Or have the snow one ice over the water, a pathway at least, and use it like Iceman to get across the water.

The boat has a closed cockpit. Do you want to enter?

Also: At this moment, Snover is clinging tightly to your side, apparently still freaked out about the escapade that just occurred. Magnemite is scanning the horizon.

It's not the logic, it's the thought that counts. We can't just make Magnemite feel unappreciated by NOT offering it water. And we have to try and make friends with Seviper as well, since he barely knows us and is probably a bit distraught that his Master is gone now.

In this boat right now, we 4 Pokemon are the Resistance - the Human is only providing us transportation, we don't know if she'll prove to be an ally or an adversary after we reach land. (Hence the reason I checked to see how many Pokemon she had on her beforehand)

We were hatched and deprived of our mommy, the these great big monkeys starting chasing us, then they fucked everything up by creating evil. Their only use is getting us to land, after that they're useless.

Right. And this translates into "We hate humans must kill them all" how, exactly? Let's not forget, the only reason we tried to escape was so that we could find our mother, who may or may not be living in the sky with the sun as her tail (which sounds like grounds for an excelent Creation Myth for the Charmander + evolutions species; kudos to you who suggested it).

    Oh-hohohoho...

We didn't even fucking know what trainers were when we hatched magnemite and snover. We don't know what it's like inside a pokeball. We have no reason to dislike humans other than the fact that they chased after us after we tried to run away.

So tell me, what is your rebel leader fighting against? Humans? Why? Because they tried to get us back to what could have been safety (They didn't know whatever it was was going to go berserk); a newborn running around a lab could easily get hurt. I know this is team rocket, but FFS, the scientist who we tried to scratch seemed nice enough. Inb4 smart evil won't show it all the time.

As far as I'm concerned, Charmander has been looking out for her interests from the get-go. Trying to escape and find her mother, because really, what other goal do we have? Well, now we have that evil pokemon, but we didn't back then.

But fine, feel free black-knight charmander; I'm done.

I can see your point, but you have to realize that if we just attack/kill humans for the sake of freeing their Pokemon, eventually they're gonna send someone to come and rape our asses. It'd be like having an orc raiding party rob caravans along a trade road - only a matter of time before the local towns start sending adventurers after your ass.

I see it more like adventurers

You're probably going to kill that Orc Guard, and everyone in the dungeon, as soon as the first signs of hostility show up. You won't let yourself be taken by surprise twice, if they're armed they're dangerous.

Of course that stops when you exit the dungeon, but you still won't be sleeping under an orc's roof anytime soon.

So Charmander wouldn't just up and kill the world, but if she knew she needed a human to go down to save her friends, or she was pressed by a trainer who wanted the shiny starter, she wouldn't toy around by fighting his pokemon to exhaustion first, she'd take him out and take hit pokeballs.
