Can there be such a thing as a cleric for just the universe or reality, not a particular god or faith?

    That goddamned castle always related.
    >> Anonymous 01/04/10(Mon)13:48 No.7425077
Yes, in some settings, like Eberron.

You get to choose your domains. In 3.5, at least.

In 4E, it's even easier, as you just don't choose any of the God-Specific Channel Divinity feats, or if you do you refluff them to be Universe based, or something.

Not a druid per-se, but a Cleric of existence.

Unless you want to roll out a religion that is that sort of shit.

I could totally use those knights as D&D pieces. Now if only I can get or create a dungeon for these knights to brave.
    >> Anonymous 01/04/10(Mon)13:54 No.7425138
Or in 3.x for any setting the DM can simply make the Material Plane or something associated with it a Domain, and make up a spell list. I had a friend who wanted to play a similar cleric a year ago and we had him with the Domains of Gravity(some force spells) and Material/Reality(forget what we called it, but it included stuff like Mend, Earthquake, and some other stuff).

In 3.x, you just choose domains. There's nothing more to it than that. Faerun is the only setting I know of where you NEED to have a patron deity.

Looking back, this castle is what got me into D&D. Fantasy knights, whatever storyline you could come up with for them. God damn, I used to play with my brother with this. Moving figures around, coming up with interesting ways to use the traps and cannon, THIS TOY SHAPED MY FA/TG/UY LIFE.

That and the pirate castle, which may go a long way towards explaining why I love Eberron so much. I mean, flying pirates attacking a castle. The golden knights, backed up by the knights of the Lego Kingdom ina peace treaty are fending off the pirates who've bought the ruthless space mercenaries who've broken from the Lego Kingdom for their own ends.

Holy shit. My childhood was awesome.

I had the castle. And the packs of Fire/Ice knights and kings. And then I got the dragon siege tower too, and I'd follow a progression where the gold knights fought off the black knights, then the fire knights showed up and the black/gold knights had to team up and fight them off but would lose, then the ice knights would come and run the fire knights out of the castle, then the vikings would come and the ice and fire knights would team up against them.

By myself. Now that I think about it that was pretty sad but I'd probably have gotten bitchy if I'd played it with someone else because they "weren't doing it right".

I think everyone on 4chan who had and still have that set should get together and have a massive castle war.
