    Old thread: >>7161417

You are Teddy Roosevelt the level 6 Hill Gian Pugilist, and current King of the Foothills Gnolls.

You are back in your pack's territory. It is the day after the battle. You have hunters chasing the survivors that got away. No word from the elves.

    What do you do?
    >> Anonymous 12/16/09(Wed)17:46 No.7164548
Choose a beta and tell him the plan from before, we can assume the humans will return so we must hurry. We'll check in with the elves to find out about the halflings and then go for the goblins/dwarves
    >> Anonymous 12/16/09(Wed)17:49 No.7164596
The gnolls will need to do something constructive, instead of all this violent behavior. How about singing or dancing?

You find a scrawny gnoll who hasn't left your side since the battle and tell him your plan. He squeals in delight upon hearing it. You put him in charge as second-in-command of the gnolls.

He needs a name. What is our gnoll follower's name, /tg/?

can we set the gnolls to making us some stuff?

IIRC we are just wearing a wolf pelt jacket thing and some rough breeches.
Perhaps they can fashion us some crude armor? Some spiked gloves?

Also, we need to come up with a royal symbol, something we can mark our territory and pack with.
We should designate a priest/priestess of whatever that god they were worshiping was to keep the pack together and under out thumb.
    >> Anonymous 12/16/09(Wed)17:51 No.7164623
I say, we order the gnolls to multiply. we will need a larger army to defend the inevitable (and large) retalation party.
    >> Anonymous 12/16/09(Wed)17:51 No.7164624
Do we think the Gnolls will be able to make an alliance with the Goblins on their own?
If so, send a treaty party of Gnolls to the goblins, go to the Dwarves ourselves.
Maybe bring some Elves, if the two don't hate each other.
Just don't travel with the Gnolls, or we'll get shot up by the Dwarves just for travelling with them.

Question: how committed to yeenoghu are these gnolls. Do they only do the blood for the blood god thing because of the leader, or are they just innately shitty and dumb.
    >> Anonymous 12/16/09(Wed)17:54 No.7164675
we need to remember that the other races won't get on with the gnolls very well.

The dwarves will probably be flat-out hostile to us.
Also, if we make all these alliances the gnolls will have nothing to raid and pillage, and we will very promptly be deposed as their leader.

Howlard Taft isn't very good at tap-dancing, but he promises to try his hardest to practice. As second in command, he is also the designated new high-priest of Yeenoghu or whatever. The gnolls celebrate by sacrificing two of the victims. You keep Redspot's bone club and use it as a cane. Pimpin'.

Leaving the pack under Howlard Taft's control, you set off through the forest to your elven friends.

Your journey through the forest takes about a day and a half. You reach the elvish encampment and are greeted warmly by your shaman friend (named Gennal) and Adran, the latter who seems to be much friendlier to you now.

I'm thinking this is going to be a long term problem, since it means we have to choose between running gnolltown and having allies. We need to check the elfs right now but sometime soon we need to:
    -gather gnolls
-make a speech about how we's the biggest and we don't need to sacrifice anyone
-point out that not being simultaneously at war with everyone allows you to focus and be more effective
-at the end of the speech, offer to punch the fuck out of anyone who says yeenoghu>HONOR AND MIGHT

More of a long term suggestion than a vote though.

Ask their attitude towards Dwarves RE: alliance.

Engineer an 'escape' by a few pf the captured humans, then have them come back and slaughter the Gnoll priesthood while they are int he forest performing a sacrifice.
We know the humans did it because there are a few dead humans around among the entire cadre of religious leaders, and the wounds were done with human weapons.

Ask if there is anything we can do to secure their loyalty in the future, offer the land in the human settlement to them.

ask them to send an emissary to the dwarves to try to get an alliance between them as I can't see dwarves allying with gnolls

You begin climbing the mountains. You have no idea where the dorfs or goblins are, so you wander aimlessly for two days. Finally, you find evidence of goblins nearby. You follow the trail to a plateau. The goblins are here, sure enough....and so is someone else...
