!ozOtJW9BFA 10/09/09(Fri)03:08 No.6198656Taking the dagger in your hand you grab the old priest by the scruff of his neck, "I hope you've memorized that book by now." You plunge both daggers into his eyes as he screams in pain. The bleeding is terrible as he rolls around on the floor reaching over his desk looking for something. It looks like he might die from the blood loss. Pity that isn't the message you had in mind. You walk over and grab one candle stick holders and grab the let candles. Pinning the priest down you plunge the burning wick onto the wounds to savagely cauterize the wounds sending him to howl even more in pain. Your deed done with the priest left crying in a pile of books, blood, paper and wax you leave him be.
You exit the room and Catharine is waiting outside with her hands to her ears to block out the screaming. Seeing you walk by she falls in line behind you. Your spell above the city is beginning to fade as the moon and Valtir's star (although no brighter then a normal star) shine once again.
You reach the doors of the church leading outside. Listening for a second you hear nothing beyond the doors. Exiting you see Kelgris' frame down on one knee clutching his fists on the shaft of the halberd as if still holding himself up. You can only see his back, which has many bloody hole and cuts all over it. The rest of his clothes look no better torn beyond repair. When you think to walk past with no more heed, Kelgris raises to his feet and turns to salute you.
"I am glad to see you are unharmed my lord!" His voice sounds all but inhuman now. And upon closer examination and seeing him head on, you notice half of his face has been cut away revealing the bone and muscle, his eye gouged out but replaced with a red flame. Various parts of his arms are missing muscles and flesh and even bone can be seen on his legs, arms and chest. But shattered all around him lie the bodies of many butchered armored guards and town militia, for as far as you can see the town is abandoned. |
