We need to create a monk/warrior class out of the guard once they accept us and Hagran.

Have Hagran create a metallic golem meant for containing soul stuff. We'll use it for an experiment.

You shift from the material world to the source of soul-stuff. You quickly locate the crystal. You're pretty sure that this pillar of violet flame wasn't here before, though.

This, Hagran needs to start revealing himself to the guards. Start small again; the swords of those who display bravery stop requiring maintenence, a new recruit starts having uncanny skill, that sort of thing.

Yeah, looks like stone or clay golems are out, and we don't have the ore to make metal ones. Put that one on the backburner, I guess.

Are there any ships at dock on the first island? We may not get air travel for a long, long time, so it would be good to know if the faith has to spread by boat to other islands.

You have one island under control, guerilla operations on the neighboring ones. Three mages, counting Andreus. Most of the people are doing whatever they normally do or fulfill one of your projects.
    >Say, could someone make a list of those? The fortifications, the monastery, crossbows, et cetera. I gotta keep up with the thread, so I can't do it myself.

So, what other gods are we currently looking a having in the eventual pantatheon? Off the top of my head, the ones that have been discussed are:

    Hagran: Skill, bravery.
    Hagran's Wife: Fertility, healing, nature
    Androgynous Twins: Life and death
    Daughter: Secrets
    Otto: Trickery, Water, Righteousness

We, Hyperion have no form as of yet, we are malleable. A living concept.

Hephaestus/Hagran is a buff viking with bulging muscles and always half naked for some reason. His laughter is thunder and his eyes are burning coal. He is awesome.

Shyla is the typical playmate paragon, big ass, big tits, long blond hair, blue eyes which sparkle with life, a mere brush of her hand heals all sickness. She's nice.

Hagran arose from Talos having more practical concerns than knowledge for its own sake - crafting and such.

I'd imagine this means Hagran is rather straightforward, and while he loves knowledge as we do, he has a particular fondness for knowledge that has a practical application - making things, doing things, getting results. So, earthy and uncomplicated, taking pride in a job done well and carried out with skill.

Shyla is like a nurturing figure - her ample bosom isn't necessarily that of a buxom and saucy wench, but a mother who provides well for her children. That doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy getting it on with Hagran, just that she's less wanton porn starlet and more divine MILF.

We are building fortifications, yes? I fail to see how that's wise. Once the masters or their more faithful servants spot them they will immediately realize that our island is the heart of the cult and exterminate our followers.

A monastery? Windmills? This is great and all but it's also very, very suspicious. We need to know how society works on these islands. In the beginning, we found Plato and we saw how the Masters cult is oppressing the locals and force them to pay tribute. I don't think they want the plebs to do ANYTHING without their OK. Honestly, I doubt they will let them do anything that isn't their idea in the first place.

And finally a note on our increasing armory.
Weapons and armor are good and all, and I realize how dangerous the masters are, BUT we should train our soldiers extensively in non-lethal combat. Grappling, disarming and disabling. If we can defeat our foes without killing or injuring them I think they will be much more willing to understand that we as a deity wish no harm, only to make their lives better and more fulfilling.

From our interactions with the Masters, they made it plain that since we are not going to bow down and obey them, they will not tolerate our existence, nor our influence upon the human population.

I'm talking about the human followers. Our puny soldiers stand no chance against Eldritch Abominations.
This guy will probably not give us away to the Masters... yet. He's having too much fun observing both our struggles.

The thing is, our strength is proportional to the amount of followers we have. Thus, killing before we give them a chance to convert is a BIG mistake.

Wouldn't it be cool if things were added as the collective knowledge of our faithful grew?

Say Andreus dissects a fish...now there's a whole new wing on the physical structure of the fish, as well as the fish itself, in an ocean.

I think it would be cool if our Heaven was literally and physically a collection of knowledge from the material plane. Those who added to the pool, are given eternal time to learn everything there is, was, or will be.

Now might be a good time to add a pantheon member clearly focused on combat, perception, and defense against non-humanoid threats. He can help with the training of the guards, and *may* be able to help keep us from being screwed by these eldrich horrors.

In short, a paladin, without the judgmental crusading stuff. A sheepdog to defend against the wolves. A quiet guard who and derives his happiness and sense of self from shepherding his people, willing to lay his life down for them even if they never know about it. Except the music is used to communicate news, plans and ideas. This is a LOT less suspicious than gathering for prayer and trying to hide.
I can imagine this will help our future followers on other islands while we still maintain a low profile as a hidden cult, since the true intentions will likely never be known and will not put them at risk.

It does not belong here, it is an aberration, an abomination, an affront to the way this reality works; it does not, cannot possibly exist here naturally, operating under entirely different laws, entirely different principles, all of which are absolutely incompatible with the way this universe operates. The only way it can survive, the only way it can continue to exist is to return whence it came, where it belongs and is in accordance with its surroundings.

If it cannot go back, if it cannot depart, then the sheer crushing weight of this reality must surely destroy it; it is but one entity, one creature, not even very strong, against an entire cosmos.

This is truth. This is fact. This knowledge is our gift to it.
