My main gripe with a system like this is how would you run it? you never see any other diggers, is megamans blue suit really that popular? or is it unique to him? something about having everyone run around in ancient robot armor seems like it would harm the experience.

I actually think the armor IS him.

It's mentioned that, by the time MMZX series started, humans are implementing Reploid aspects into themselves, and Reploids are given a 'life-span' like that of a human. It is then implied (if not outright stated) that the two have become so intertwined as to actually be able to breed amongst one another.

Legends is set roughly a thousand years after all of that. It isn't beyond the scope of understanding that, by that point, they've merged into one species. This would explain GIANT ROBO-BABY amongst the Bonne's, and would likely explain why Megaman never takes off his armor.

Shit, the basic Buster, complete with mods, is so easily representable that there's actually only one thing that needs to be houseruled - and that's Energy's ability to cut down on Drain effects.

Basic Buster is just a typically ranged Blast 1 with a 1-point houseruled extra so upgrades can be slotted in. This is simple enough to follow - a 10 foot shot with a damage bonus of +1. Depending on whether you want armor to be basically innate(you never see it taken away in the games) or a Device, you'd add it to the armor or just take it under your list of powers.

The extra allows the upgrade equipment to be slotted in - eventually, like what happens in the games, you're going to be able to purchase another rank in it so you can slot in three pieces of equipment at a time.

The upgrades are pieces of equipment that are too inexpensive to justify being a Device. The basic ones should be about 5 EP(equivalent to a single Power Point) each - and obviously, they stack.

Power upgrade - +2 to Buster rank, Limited(Does not add extra range)

Energy upgrade - Point Buffer 4(Buster)

Range upgrade - Improved Range 1

Rapid upgrade - Autofire 1
