Why did you decide to take the quest sharply away from serious and towards random, over-the-top awesome? The very first thread, when our power was as nothing compared to the challenge that we were trying to take on and our success (at least nominally) emerged from careful tactics, was incredibly awesome. The current style of this quest, with random chaos gifts dropping on us whenever we do anything and nothing capable of standing between us and success, is much harder to get behind.

I do agree with that part. I think I lost focus around the leveling up portion when I gave rampant stat increases across the board. If Gary was at what it should be, he'd be more like this:

WS: 5 BS: 4 S: 4(5) T: 4(5) W: 4 I: 4(5) A: 3+1 Ld: 10 Sv: 4+/4++

Thats after the CHAOS LEVEL choice increases, but includes the single stat point upgrades from god levels. With an extra point of WS from when we first accepted Khorne.

Anyway, it's pretty much too far along to change the theme at this point, but I was kind of disappointed.
