It's a Warlord Class Imperial Titan... only it's using the old Adeptus Titanicus Warlord pattern form the 80's and 90's, the cool looking version, not the fucking clunky ass shitty designs for warlords in Epic A.

Very nicely executed scratch build.

Looks to be GD award quality from the image and the detail he put into it. If he's not put it in for competition he really should, that level of work should be recognized.

If I'm going to put the effort into building a 4-5 foot tall walker, it's actually going to stomp around and kill shit. This is vastly overkill for 40k.

Still fucking awesome though.

Really, if you're going to do something thats its own class why not make it not look like a super sized clone of the original warlord and use some creativity. Its not all that hard to come up with something that'd fit, keeping stylistic links to the other titan classes yet still being its own thing.

For those arguing about the accuracy of the conversion work - bear in mind that there could well be more classes of Battle Titan than Warrior and Reaver - they're just the common ones - and for the two classes that we do know about, their designs could have been updated with different series over the centuries (the 1st edition Epic Warlord and the Epic 40,000 Warlord are quite different, for instance). Titans are not STC technology but original creations of the tech-priests during the Age of Strife, so there's no essential reason for their designs to remain static.

Yes, but the Mechanicus's own Titans weren't based on those STC types - the Codex Imperialis is pretty specific about their origins in the Age of Strife. Modern Titans aren't just a derivation of the ones seen in the "Dark mechanicus" novel, but are wholly different in design.

The STC Titans we see the novel aren't so much a "precursor Titan" as a parallel type of giant robot that we retroactively call a Titan.

They're using grox-skin parchment, clearly. Cut it off the body, cure it in a warehouse or something, cut to shape. Then send it to the scribe-Titans' monastery, where they spend a decade making one Titan-sized purity seal with all the embellishments. Job's a good 'un.
