A sensate would give you a blazing contact-high.

A Godsman would comment on how you could be way stronger and less flabby and you could have nicer tits and be less hairy and and and if only you tried.

I imagine bleakers are totally into snuggling, though, they just seem like the sort of people, y'know? Long day at the Gatehouse with the barmies, home to snuggle someone they care about.

A Harmonium-member would get grouchy if you didn't hold her the exact same way each time.

A Mercykiller would choke you if you did it wrong.

A Guvner would make you hold her a hundred times so she could get a good statistical spread for her calculations.

An Indep would be happy as long as you didn't hold her too close.

The only thing on an Anarchist's mind once you held her would be getting free.

A Fated? Oh no, she'd hold YOU, and you wouldn't get loose until she wanted you to.

A Cipher would mace you before you could even touch her.

Bleaker-tan can fly, brawl and attack with blasts of wind. But she prefers not to fight, she'd rather just get along with everyone, if possible, and have them all get along. Even if they have to fight her she'd patch her up afterwards.

Further problem is that Kunin(Anarchist-tan) really HAS been causing chaos and disorder by sneaking into a Harmonium camp in disguise and letting all their Chaotic prisoners loose! But Bleaker-tan doesn't know the details of this, all she knows is that there was a huge racket and some alarms and stuff. She's also kinda dim.

Neitz(Doomguard-tan) has a huge hammer, and huge armour. Kunin can transform stuff(and people) into other stuff(or other people).

I think I'm just going to hope that Oresta's(Bleaker-tan's) honest innocence will make her cast her eye elsewhere and let us go. Really, we just need to get to Limbo so we can help out Aribeth(Harmonium-tan). Or at least that's what Bleaker-tan is planning.

It's actually a cape over her black crow's wings. A tremendously awesome cape, at that: the outer lining is a mundane white, but the inner lining depicts the ocean of stars of the night sky, remaining static as though the cape were some wormhole to outer space ala Unmoving Plaid (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UnmovingPlaid). While draping a cape over your wings may seem impractical, you have to remember that in Gensokyo, the setting of Touhou, practically every supernatural entity can outright ignore the conventional laws of gravity at will, and so wings are mostly for show.

Fighting, drinking and women? That sounds pretty much like Ysgard, or at least some parts of Ysgard. The plane pretty much exemplifies individuality and individual strength, Chaotic Neutral in the direction of "powerful individualism" rather than Limbo's direction of "complete madness." I believe it's one step closer to the Upper Planes than Limbo is.

Faction War is the single worst thing that ever happened to Planescape, honestly. It wiped out pretty much all the coolest parts of the fluff about Sigil and replaced them with... uh... Fuck, did it actually replace them with ANY good concepts at all?

I have to admit, I have a soft spot for Pentar and Alisohn. I mean, they're both pretty much completely bonkers, but Alisohn(Mercykillers) had a pretty hellish childhood and really just wants to bring justice to everyone(plus she's being seduced and used by Darkwood).

Pentar is just awesome. I mean, fuck, look at that woman. I'm counting a shortbow, at least one saber, one large dagger or shortsword, another dagger in her boot, some general spiky shit going on and AWESOME HAIR.

Girl is STRONG. And strong women are AWESOME.

I am Fated-tan, and I'm here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? 'No!' says the man in the Gatehouse, 'It belongs to the poor.' 'No!' says the man on Mount Celstia, 'It belongs to God.' 'No!' says the man in the Anarchist cell, 'It belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Sigil, a city where the bard would not fear the censor*, where the mage would not be bound by petty morality*, Where the great would not be constrained by the small! And with the sweat of your brow, Sigil can become your city as well.

*Disclaimer: You can still be scragged by the Hardheads or flayed by the Lady. It's a work in progress!

Also part of why Pentar rocks:

"I then beheld a sight more perfect than any I'd ever seen before or since: the flow of red-black magma, streaking down the mountainsides and devouring all within its path. Trees, boulders, and everything else fell before that monstrous flow, incapable of standing against the force of pure destruction. With awesome majesty the flow picked up speed, consuming the land before me, as my body was consumed with sheer primal joy. 'I shivered in ecstasy.""

"OH SHIT, HUGE DESTRUCTION AND SCARS FROM RAINING DROPLETS OF MOLTEN ROCK? UNGH. I CAME."

Faction War, or so they claimed at the time, intended to remake Planescape to become fresh and exciting (in the same way the revised Dark Sun boxed set changed a LOT from the original box). Unfortunately what happened is that TSR was foundering at this time and shortly after Faction War got out it was decided that Planescape was finished as a setting. So all in all, it was a Crisis to establish a new status quo which never happened.

I'm not even going to go into the problems of assuming that massive revisions will make an RPG setting will sell more products, suffice to say that TSR did it as early as the mid-90's and WotC are still doing it, to varying degrees of failure.

I mean, Faction War is technically a solid work, well written and evocative... but what the actual story DOES is not very encouraging or inspiring. Don't get me wrong, I do like Cook's Planescape products in general, but this one just kind of annoys me.

Also, I agree with you that Factol Pentar looked fucking amazing. DiTerlizzi's art were a huge part of what made Planescape stand out.

The new Dark Sun was honestly kinda shit since it accepted the changes from the Prism Pentad as canon. It killed off The Dragon and it added a fucking DEMOCRATIC STATE to the Tyr Region. That was just an awful, awful, AWFUL decision.

I mean, I don't want GrimDark just for the sake of GrimDark, but a democratic society in Dark Sun just seems a bit out of place. Seems a bit too hopeful.

Plus, the heroes from the Prism Pentad... I dunno, I hate it when there are canon heroes around that outshine the PC's by ridiculous orders of magnitude. I would, even though I might use some of the new locations, NEVER accept the Prism Pentad as canon for a Dark Sun game I ran.

    Or joined.

As for Faction War... I seem to recall that Sarin got scragged by a single Arrow of Slaying while out on his daily patrol with the other Hardheads. If that was all it took to kill him, some Anarchist would have done it ages ago. There are some goddamn errors in there which are just completely ridiculous.

And yes, Planescape had flawless art in every single supplement. The creatures and locations genuinely looked, y'know, strange. Alien.

I've been unable to find anything except for the occasional mention that anyone in/around the Pristine Tower suffers mutations, especially if they're injured. Also some stuff on how someone who climbed atop the Pristine Tower could become a new Champion of Rajaat(or just a new Champion, anyway, dedicated to slaying a single species. Though I gotta say that the example Champion powers seemed surprisingly weak considering how gruesome the previous Champions were.).

Remember that TSR were still riding on the huge success of Project Overlord in the 1980's, which generated the Dragonlance novels and RPG supplements side-by-side. At first, the Dragonlance adventures did NOT adhere to the plot of the books, so the rpg would not be spoiled by reading the books, but since the book line sold insanely well, TSR went "welp, they like the books, let's make the rp modules exactly follow the plot of the fiction".

And that was pretty much that. Yes, it was a huge fucking cash cow for TSR, but by the 90's they started applying it to other settings as well with... none too satisfying results.

If you know anything about the Dragonlance timeline, by the way, it is amusing that today the Dragonlance setting is such a torn-up messy thing it's only barely connected with what made it popular in the first place. And this is because the RPG has been adhering to the massive changes happening constantly in the novels.

Oh yes, immensely powerful place. It was where the Halflings transitioned the world from the Blue Age to the Green Age, and where Rajaat ended the Green Age(if I remember right), creating his Champions in the process as he imbued them with the scorching power of the sun.

I always loved a lot of the specific Dark Sun locations, I mean, come on, the Last Sea has a fucking SURFING proficiency. You can't tell me that isn't fucking awesome. Also places like the blasted obsidian plains to the south, swarmed by angry and vengeful undead.

Also the Thri-kreen and their empire, some of the variant Thri-Kreen looked really, really cool. Keech and Tondi in particular. Also a lot of the monsters were awesome, like the Silt Horrors, and fucking Erdlands/Erdlus, even if they were only animals! Hell yeah, I'd totally ride a goddamn Erdlu into battle.

The Death Gate Cycle was a decent series of books by Weis and Hickman, as was the Darksword Trilogy.

Dragonlance however was and still is total shit.

Oh yeah, I loved that shit, about the different kinds of Thri-Kreen, and just generally the fauna of that messed up world.

And don't forget the cursed shoes that eat your feet.

You mean the life-crafted items? I loved those. They were surprisingly original AND pretty useful for the most part.

Death Gate is somewhat up and down. It has good parts, and it has shit parts. I mean, if you try re-reading it, some things will really grate on you, in particular Zifnap and his lolrandum personality. He was better as Fizban in DL, less fucking annoying, amazingly enough. Still, I enjoyed some of the world concepts.

I actually read the Death Gate books out of order without realizing it. I just kinda thought it was written weirdly. It made much more sense when I read it again in order.

In my defence, I was around fourteen or fifteen at the time.

Is this full doujin uploaded anywhere?

No, it is not uploaded anywhere at all on the internet. In fact, this one page materialised magically when posted because Anonymous used pixie dust while typing.

"Thri-Kreen of Athas" was a really fun supplement, you could just read that shit and get new ideas for adventures and characters.

They made them into a pretty unique race, they weren't just humans with funny powers and their own language.

Athas has hairless chocobos. These things are ten feet tall, you can ride them, eat them or fight them.
