So, D&D is an ancient succession of kingdoms, WoD is a nation majorly consisting of supernaturals pretending to be sneaky and subtle, while the few normal humans, who of course know all about them, just facepalm and continue on with their everyday lives, while the Exalts in the next valley just spend all their time beating each other up. Neckbeards are lone wanderers, worth seeking out for their wisdom, but cursed with a rather odd social perspective and a rather nasty stench, while the Trolls are their worst foes, breaking their resolve and turning them into raging towers of destruction.

How about philosophies that bring elements of the assorted rulesets as a component of them. nations can have a religion and a philosophy that combines together. Wut? Say the really ancient abrahamic sects, which aren't common at all anymore, are 1st ed. Judaism, which evolved from them, would be 2nd ed.
