So, D&D is an ancient succession of kingdoms, WoD is a nation majorly consisting of supernaturals pretending to be sneaky and subtle, while the few normal humans, who of course know all about them, just facepalm and continue on with their everyday lives, while the Exalts in the next valley just spend all their time beating each other up. Neckbeards are lone wanderers, worth seeking out for their wisdom, but cursed with a rather odd social perspective and a rather nasty stench, while the Trolls are their worst foes, breaking their resolve and turning them into raging towers of destruction.

Now we can get into details! I myself am looking forward to a detailed history of Danda, the kingdoms evolution and political amusements as it evolves from 1st, to 2nd (AD&D), then 3/3.5 (A counter revolution halfway into the next empire?) and the current civil war with 4th

Chain the neckbeards and trolls together, and their cacophony streams through the battlefield while their unbridled rage destroys everything in front of them, both egging each other on.

You have to wait until they're unconscious to be able to get near them, though.

I'm kind of against the idea about having kingdoms based on the various rulesets.

How about philosophies that bring elements of the assorted rulesets as a component of them. nations can have a religion and a philosophy that combines together. Having an entire nation based on one ruleset seems... A bit too 1-dimensional. As in "here is the land of Azns right next to the land of WASPs" 1-dimensional.

Wut? Say the really ancient abrahamic sects, which aren't common at all anymore, are 1st ed. Judaism, which evolved from them, would be 2nd ed. Christianity, which evolved from Judaism, would be 3/3.5. Islam is odd, however, because while it is from the same abrahamic source, its also got a lot of other influences and departs from many of the old conventions- 4th edition.

Yes the "Lake God" is a benevolent deity to the mad cultists that worship it. And, according to the cultists at least, it tells the priests many wise words in the matters of life, of the world around them, and how to punish infidels.

It never seems to actually DO anything, however, be it for good or evil.

    Except...

There have been rumors that those who speak words of mockery or disbelief within the presence of the Holy Lake God suddenly find themselves sporting unusual new hats, as small terrified octopi seemingly fly out of nowhere and cling to the speakers' heads and faces.

It is the deep-seated fear of this happening that makes neckbeards highly phobic of water. This, unfortunately, make hygiene a tricky proposition at best without proper access to certain cleansing incantations.

This is not an illusion - some neckbeards have such control of their immense mass of bodyhair that they can in fact hide living creatures (of equal or lesser Size category) within the tangled growth without any evidence of it being there until emergence.

The most powerful (and chaotic) neckbeards are capable of weaving magic that enthralls entire villages - into a shared hallucination, where all the village's people share a single mind and body. Controlling the entity's actions by consensus, they have to solve a magnificent maze of riddles and dangers to wake up again. Those villages that master the challenge are rewarded with great wisdom, and its inhabitants are enlightened. Those that fail... well, there's been a few villages that have been sleeping for hundreds of years, lost in the maze.

A Moot-analogue should be the overgod of the setting, creator of the multiverse. However, Tagael honestly doesn't give a shit about the rest of the multiverse, for the most part.

Something like that was in the fist thread, waitaminute...

    >While the denizens of our fine world don't much care about travelling between planes, travellers from other dimensions occasionally arrive - some seek knowledge only neckbeards can provide, some seek refuge from the mindless hordes and never-ceasing wars of their own realms.. and then there's the occasional raiding party.

    'ere we go.

Some sort of organization between the neckbeards who do this would be good. Weaver of course being the leader. Each with their own motive, Ruby Quest was a lot more like you said while Dorf Quest would probablly have been done on a town for shits and giggles.
