So we know that, according to the medical records, Ruby was blind at some point before her accident (which, depending on Ace's motivations, may or may not have actually left her deceased). It might be the condition she had since birth, or that could just be referring to something else.

Either way, I believe Ruby's flashback dream to her room indicates blindness. Her memory of the room is stark, lacking in visual detail, suggesting she was blind when she made these memories. There's a distinct, limited-range aura in which she's simply "aware" of her surroundings, rather than really "seeing" them. It's as if she only knows where and what these things are because she felt them.

On top of all of that, the biggest giveaway is the window.
She has no idea what's on the other side. For some reason, no matter how much she looks out the window, she can't see anything.

Yes, there's always the option that a given event means nothing and has no metaphorical or symbolic value.
But as I explained, I think there's evidence here that it's significant.

Everyone seems drawn to the idea that Ruby's third eye lets her see the future, because each 'vision' she's had has revealed something that later proved to be true.
But what if they're not visions of the future... what if they are, instead, memories of the past?

Ruby is suffering amnesia, possibly brought on by drugs, Ace's medical experimentation, and massive head trauma from Red's near-fatal assault.

So assume Ruby never really died. Ace falsely declared her dead in order to have complete freedom of experimentation on her, probably bringing her off to some secret lab. All of Ruby's memories would fall into place, slowly breaking through the haze: She remembers her room, in a more peaceful way. If she knew Tom before, maybe something had been wrong with his eye before (maybe it was why he was in the medical facility for treatment in the first place). Seeing her own corpse in the box, then, would be a flashback to her own near-death experience when she was trapped in that very crate.

    ...oh Jesus.

    I just realized something.

Tom and Ruby both lost their memories. In Ruby's only vision which was DEFINITIVELY based on memory, she was in her home.
The only strange thing about her home was that TOM WAS THERE.

TOM AND RUBY ARE ATTRACTED TO EACH OTHER BECAUSE THEY WERE ALREADY LOVERS BEFORE ALL OF THIS HAPPENED
THEY LOST THEIR MEMORIES AND DON'T REMEMBER BEING TOGETHER

Nah. It is all animal crossing characters.

Theory on third eye: We've established she was blind. Probably from birth(then again, it could have been a regenerative condition where she COULD see but lost her sight at an early age. I mean, she recognizes colors, shape,s and can read now). Her real eyes still don't work. It's been the third eye since she got out of the locker. It is a PSY EYE. She sees psychically, and this also leads her to sometimes experience things others can't because she sees psychic impressions.

No, I don't think this is true. Just a cool idea. PSY RUBY. MIND BULLETS. PYEW PYEW.

I just realized something. The note, Red's "Try and catch me NOW." note, it wasn't meant for Tom and Ruby.

It was meant for Ace. He was about to figure out that Red was the one that attempted to kill/killed Ruby(depending on whether you think she's already dead or not). About to "catch" him.

He knew that someone would be checking the room at some point using the screen. He knew that they'd see him, dead. And he knew that they'd send Ace.

...or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

You know, maybe Red is gonna be resurrected. Judging by the size of the hole in Stitches' head, only a small part of the brain is actually necessary to "resurrect" him. Red was probably the guy who fixed Stitches to the wall, and he had some level of authority inside the facility, so he knew that in order to actually stay dead he needed to totally obliterate his brain, something that even two wooden stakes wouldn't be able to do it.

Perhaps Red was trying to solve two problems when he placed the bomb there: he tried to eliminate any chance of being reanimated and he also tried to kill Ace in the process. But he didn't time it correctly (because he wanted Ruby & Tom to see him), giving enough time to be carried away by Ace (he's a fucking tank, if Tom had the time to drag Ruby out of the room, Ace wouldn't have to blink to carry a bag of bones like Red in less than 12 seconds).

But maybe I'm wrong, maybe Ace just left his body there. Who knows.

We was not pretty stuck to the ground with those stakes, given that the ground here is more or less immune to reasonable force. Even if it was soil, ram a shovel into your backyard, then go and pick it up and come back inside in ten seconds. Not hard, was it, and you're not even MASSIVE.

I'm certain there is some way in which adding another seven verses to an epic and finishing the detailed schematics of a massive starship will help my life.

Oh god please don't make me restart my starship schematics. The only way it could be worse is if I found a copy of Boatmurdered just prior to abandonment, at which point I'd need to learn to use an FPS engine in order to recreate it in full.

Tom, once again unabashedly looking up Ruby's skirt.

Also you need to work on the symbol on Ace's shirt. That looks more like a buttplug than a spade.

I think mine's similar in length, but I lost track after a while. The smallest details are 2x5 cm lights. Needless to say not much of the interior is done yet. It must stay that way until I manage to get free of any work commitments or my degree is going to get veeeery hard. The only consolation is its taking a modernist straight-lines and angles aesthetic so no bloody curves anywhere.

/tg/- When we compare our lengths, we're talking kilometers.

    And referring to spaceships.

It would be awesome if whoever's working on the game was able to get it running via a text parser. I know AGS can pull it off what with Trilby's Notes. It might go some way to help maintain the original feel.
