I, too, was eager to learn. I was once a normal person, a chiropractor in New York. On one of my many vacations, I took a trip to Egypt. It was there that I discovered the Book of Ra, secreted within a hidden chamber of one of the temples. It has since been compromised, but there are other places. Places where magic still flows strong. It is also easy to wield, much easier than what cinema portrays.
The sheer power of human belief is what fuels the basest magic. Belief in omnipotent gods, belief in the capabilities of other humans. Though we do not know it, the subconscious controls much of our universe. In order to shape reality, belief must be established. Self-confidence is a major asset of any caster, but not vital. I learned this in my studies of the Book of Ra, the most powerful grimoire ever composed by the last generation of wizards. It was invaluable, and I shall pass it on to those who truly wish to see humanity aided.
Upon the stroke of midnight on the eleventh, you shall hear a rapping upon your door. It does not matter what time zone you are in, for the effect will happen regardless. When you answer the door, there shall stand before you my greatest ally- the mummy Al-Kali. Bodyguard to the Pharaoh, and personal servant. He shall take you to a place you have never been before. One filled with trials intended for those who were to take up the robe of the magi. You will receive no outside aid in those trials, and the peril will be immense. Should you survive, you will fully understand what has happened, what will happen, and what must be done. |
