Anyway, back on topic- i forsee a problem... the special attacks are usually used as an interrupt to block an about-to-be successful attack. That would probably have to be something like action or fate points, but without any spare hp I guess they'd probably work as hit-point substitutes.

A few notable PCs, NPCs, a goddess that begrudgingly allied with the otherwise morally gray party, and the BBEG w/group in the upper right corner. I look forward to showing this to my group and getting equal amounts of laughs and RAGE.

It's almost scary how well my party can be remade with touhous.

I think a more interesting and fun challenge would be to toy with the random character generator and come up with quick descriptions/stats for each creation.

So why haven't we taken this idea and ripped away all the Touhou and created our own create.swf with robots and laser beams and dorfs and paladins?

Eh, slapped a few of my characters together.
Left to right: An engel pilot, a pyrokinetic schoolgirl, and a little girl who's going to be a tager. Unfortunately for the engel pilot, one cannot have both scars and an eyepatch, nor are any of the outfits very futuristic. At least she gets her weird scifi sword. The other two are about right.

It kind of sucks that it's just about Reisen's, Aya's, Momiji's, Koakuma's, and Renko's outfits that you can probably get away with wearing out in public in the real world, and that they're mainly of a black and white color scheme. Throw in black hair because the real world doesn't allow technicolor anime hair, and I've got myself a boring as hell color scheme that's limited to shades of black, gray, and white.

This is the consensus among Touhou's fanbase. I'm not sure how much of it is verified by canon, though Yukari did hint that she was the one who laid down the rules in the first place. This probably single her out as the one most powerful being of the canon. Some characters do use their full power to some extend though, such as Flandre, although I'm sure she is also vastly nerfed, from being just a kid, so her idea of combat is probably just playing.

Updated the party in the OP pic, since the game hadn't actually started yet and we were still working on our level 18 characters for a 4e game. Leftmost character in this pic is a githyanki wizard/Planeshifter, some crazy fish lady with a thing for portals and teleportation like Yukari Yakumo. Second from the left is a Star Pact tiefling warlock/rogue/Doomspeaker, pretty much the diplomatic party face. Third from the right is my own character, a firesoul genasi barbarian/warlock/Student of Caiphon (he ended up with maxed out Strength and INTELLIGENCE, oddly enough) with a Sunblade fullblade like a lightsaber, some evil tyrant who lorded over his city and beat the shit out of encroaching demons, and was also an elementary history teacher who made chairs from demon bones for his students, and now ended up with the planar adventuring party.

Fourth from the right is an wolf (frog in the pic) houseruled to have 24 Intelligence yet still cannot speak, with his pet elf, a beastmaster ranger/Pack Runner. Fifth from the right is an [undecided race] Inspiring Presence warlord/paladin/Knight of Celestia, some charismatic warrior who isn't really all that good, but the good gods cheered him on anyway and let him enter Celestia when he died, though he eventually busted out since Celestia was really damn boring. And the rightmost guy is a warforged Battlerager Vigor fighter/Ravager, who is, well... all I know is that he's a robot with a giant hammer.

The group I am DMing currently, From Left to Right:

The party's rogue. His character is kinda built shitty but that is partially my fault (I described the campaign badly). He is currently the group idiot (for some inexplicable reason, the "idiot" of the group changes every campaign). Last session he was almost entirely useless due to 90% of the enemies being immune to crits or unreachable. He is part of the party to defend his country (and earn some phat lootz while he is at it).

The group robot/warforged/thing. He is a warforged fighter who is basically the tank of the party. He is the toughest and has the second highest AC. His personality is of the "I I have to with you, but I don't have to like it." variety. The only reason he is with the party is because his nation told him to.

The "leader" of the party. He is a human swordsage built towards a DW pounce fighting style (in before "Weeaboo fightan magic") who, story wise, is the party's leader. He does the most damage and has the highest AC but he can't take a hit very well.

Lycan Fighter. Lycans (same entomology as "Lycantrope" but it isn't a werewolf) are the settings equivalent of an elf, basically. He is built for ranged combat and little else. Even at that, his damage is fairly low. He is part of the party to put a stop to the war.

Lizardling. Lizardlings are the settings equivalent of gnomes. He is a Incarnate/Druid who specializes in ranged combat. He also does a fair bit of crafting when able. He is dismissive of the "meat-sacks" but works with them because one of their nations adopted him and respect his crafting skills. (the Super-soaker is there since his main attack is an acid spit).

A big party, but hey, that's how we roll. Some of the colours of clothes are wrong, but I went with the closest design I could. And that's mean to be two actual guns, not a water pistol. Most characters wear normal, modern clothes too, which didn't help.

Setting is homebrew, so this wont mean much, but hey.

-Male. My character. He's a wizard, which basically means that he has access to all schools of magic, but no internal power source, powers come from study. Bit of a bookworm.
-Female. Also a wizard, dressed up to look like a which (character is a bit ovf a goth chick). tends to focus on Mental spells.
Front Row
-Male. Barrier Knight. Artificially created mage, born with no magic skills. Can make magical barriers appear and such, uses a sword made from a forcefield. Virtuous LG type (even though we are a party of Mafia-types, the government is totally corrupt).
-Male. Overweight, Elemental Morpher. Think Logia-type devil fruit, except he can turn into fire/earth/water/air. Quiet, dependable type who tries to hold the party together.
-Female. Kinetisist, so she can manipulate and alter energy and forces. Bit of a customer power build, resembles a DBZ style martial artist. Sporty chick type, really into martial arts study.
-Male. Time Blade. another artificial mage, this time with time-altering powers. Character is slightly unstable and is an excessively violent person, but feels a lot of loyalty to his family/friends and so is kept in check.
-Female. Enchanter, meaning she can only create/use magical items, so she's really dependant on equipment. Uses magical guns. Very "cutesy" in appearance, bow in hair, heart on shirt etc, but is quite hotheaded and has a short fuse.

The Orcuslayer. I remember.
