So here's my army list, /tg/:

    Luigi (Fire Flower)
    6 Toad Scrappers (Mega Mushroom)
    8 Toad Snipers
    4 Pianta Medics
    6 Noki Hammerers

I couldn't fit Mario in; I needed those Snipers, and his Leadership wasn't as useful as Luigi's Super Jump.

Man, you'll get screwed by Parakoopas without any POW Blocks.

Fit in Mario somehow. You'll get creamed otherwise.

Oh Luigi - You'll barely win any games with him, man. But, you'll annoy the living fuck out of your opponents.

Scrap 2 of the medics for another Hammerer. If you're doing things right, the scrappers will be able to stay alive when under fire from ANYTHING, if you just break a block each turn.

Man, I played this Dry Bones/Buzzy Beetle list the other day, and it was insane. The guy cornered my Bowser with the Buzzies and made mincemeat of my Koopa Troopas with those Goddamn regenerating bastards. (They should NOT come back on a 3+.) I managed to pull out a victory when Bowser got a lucky swing with his Vicious Chain Chomp and took out two Beetles, whose shells wound up downing a few Dry Bones. My opponent pulled back and I managed to capture the objective with Bowser and my remaining Paratroopas.

Depends on the Jump Save, man. A jump save of 4+ or lower does not automatically negate POWs. I once wound up taking out a Mario who had EVERYTHING but the Jump Boots, and it was hilarious. It was all because of a lucky scatter roll with my Toad Lobber, though.

As long as you don't pick Alignment - Chomp for your army list. If you do, God help you, because that's a tough list to play. Greater Chomps cost so many points, it's not even funny. Even Lesser Chomps are pretty spendy, though their Group Attack bonus is pretty damn helpful, especially when you can get their Power buffed up.

That's why Mr X and Wesker are in there.

Tanks generally cost way too much for there to be more than one of them on the table, and it's only going to take out one of them before the other ruins the tank's shit.

Flames on the other hand are more of a problem. My zombies have a racial weakness against flame, but assuming they survive that first hit they then count as on fire, which leads to morale modifiers for the enemy. And then of course if they don't die to the flame or a lucky headshot there's always a crimson head save a few turns later...

Seriously, those zombies need a nerf now. But then the only other alternative troops choice is Ganados, and they lack the feel I'm looking for in my RE army.

Please, Emulation works maybe once in 10 games, and not enough people can afford Biggoron Forge models to make it worth taking. Yes, it's useful against Kaepora Gaebora but useless in 90% of your normal games, and at its points cost you're better off leaving it at home and just abandoning the lost unit when it gets stuck.

HQ: General Pepper w/ ROB Bodyguard and 10 Cornerian Troopers

    Troops: 2x12 Cornerian Troopers

    Veterans:
(All in Arwings and Wolfen respectively)
Mercenary Star Fox Team (sans Slippy, plus Peppy Hare)
    Mercenary Star Wolf Team

Heavy Support: Landmaster Team led by Slippy

My team costs a fuckton because of all the hero units, and the "rival faction" mercenary rules for Star Fox and Wolf have me keep them on other sides of the board, but DAMN this group makes shit explode.

I stuck Slippy in a landmaster to counter his horrible piloting score and keep him stationary. He's unstoppable with an enhanced shield and his mechanic ability. Only downside is that my mercs can't tell how many wounds an enemy has left, but that doesn't really matter with a successful "mind feel" check from Krystal. For Star Fox anyways, Star Wolf gets screwed on that one sometimes.

I need a little help with my list.

    Dry Bowser
    Angry Sun
    5 Hammer Brother
    6 Lakitu
    6 Dry Bones

I really like Dry Bones, but they are a bad fit for this army. The 6 Lakitus should be enough to reinforce the frontlines once they get going, so I know I should use something more expendable. But what? Do I just load up on goombas?

(Also, King Boo is less expensive than Dry Bowser and not much worse, is it worth it to get more Lakitu?)

    How's my list?
    10 METAL BOXES
2 METAL BOXES with bigass guns
1 METAL BOX FULL OF METAL

I was hoping to go for an all armored army, but the new edition kinda fucked them over. Should I drop 3-4 of the METAL BOXES and replace them with a few units of Box Carriers?

Look, what you're doing is coming up with rules for Calvinball. You're writing a rulebook for Mornington Crescent. What makes these threads fun is the making up of batshit insane rules that would never work in a sane game. Then you unholy love-children of /v/irgins and fa/tg/uys show up and pretty much decide that you want to come up with rules to pretend to run these armies. All I'm saying is that you're missing the point.

It's the fact that you're trying to create rules for something that wasn't designed to have rules in the first place. It ruins the idea behind it.
    >> Anonymous 08/02/08(Sat)23:54 No.2289078
    >>2289053

It doesn't really ruin the idea since no one is going to pay attention to their rules anyway. Let them have their anal-retentive fun and then everyone can go back to the game.
