Regeneration. What can it be given to? Can I put it on metal or wood or other nonliving entity? If I can't, is there a way to alter the entity so I can make it regenerate?

This is why you can't have regeneration on constructs and undead. However, you can still pull off some astonishingly powergamed bullshit by somehow acquiring both regeneration and immunity to nonlethal damage while still retaining a Constitution score. An example of this would be a Human Urban Ranger 4/Crimson Scourge 8 (you can enter Crimson Scourge early with the Favored and Primary Contact feats from Cityscape) with the Troll-Blooded regional feat from Dragon Magazine #319, although this only works at ECL 12 and above.

I believe you can also pull this off as a Half-Dragon x2 Human [Anything] 1 to get it at ECL 7, as long as you pick two dragon varieties that are immune to acid and fire respectively, but this requires even more bullshitting, especially considering that you're supposed to be descended from trolls by virtue of having the Troll-Blooded regional feat.

I'd think that a construct given complete immunity to damage would have a significantly increased CR, if only because it makes damage-dealers useless against it, and constructs are immune to many varieties of save-or-die and save-or-suck spells. Hell, give a golem (spell resistance infinity) regeneration, and it's nigh-unstoppable unless you've specifically prepared for it. But fast healing is perfectly fine for constructs. Inevitables already have fast healing.

But let's not stray too far from the original topic of the thread, shall we?

By the way, guys, I think I should point out that he's a half-iron dragon from Dragon Magazine #356. Half-iron dragons have immunity to fire, a 1/day 30-foot cone of 6d8 electricity damage (supposedly a shower of ignited sparks) breath weapon, and a Lawful Neutral alignment. See folks, powergaming can in fact accomodate roleplaying, and vice versa.

As a 6th-level gestalt character, he's currently a Half-Iron Dragon Anthropomorphic Baleen Whale | Cleric 1/Focused Transmuter 1/Monk 2/Fighter 2 (the 3 monstrous humanoid HD and the +3 LA on one side of the gestalt progression, and the 6 class levels on the other side). I'm basically looking to make the meanest AoO lockdown fighter ever; not necessarily the most powerful character ever because he's not a caster and will probably go down to a min-maxed caster some day, but I just love AoO lockdown fighters so much that I want to optimize the hell out of one in a 40-point buy gestalt game where feats are received every 2 levels (instead of every 3 levels).

As for being a psion/paladin, isn't that kind of a bad multiclass combination due to the MAD between Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma? Although I guess you could take the Serenity feat from the Dragon Magazine Compendium so that all of your Charisma-based paladin abilities are now Wisdom-based, and you could try to go for a psi-gish build with levels in Slayer and Sanctified Mind.
