>>992966Welcome to Shadowrun Occultist Quest! >What is Shadowrun?Shadowrun is an RPG series set in the world of 2072, 60 years after "The Awakening", the return of magic, spirits, and fantasy races into the world. Metahumanity now lives in a world of advanced technology and magic, where megacorporations are above the laws of nations and one-third of all humanity have no legal rights. Crime and corruption run amok, and mercenary operatives known as "shadowrunners" ply their services to both the criminal underworld, and to the very corporations that officially fight against them.>How are success and failure determined?A number of d6's are rolled equal to the relevant attribute+the relevant skill. 5's and 6's are successes, and the dice are rolled against a target threshold (1 for something trivial; 6 for a highly difficult /intricate task. 10 for something next-to-impossible). Each 6 rolled results in one additional die being rolled in the pool. Results are as follows:Target number of successes is met: the action is a success.Target number of successes is not met: the action is a failure.Target number of successes is met, but more 1's are rolled than any other number in the pool: a "glitch" occurs: a minor outside complication arises that prevents success.Target number of successes is not met and more 1's are rolled than any other number: critical glitch. Your actions fail in a way that is potentially disastrous for your long-term goals or your health. You will have 2 points of Edge each "session" that you can spend to tip the scales in your favor. When requesting an action, you may specify that you want to spend a point of Edge to add "luck" or "effort" to a roll. "Luck" will add five dice to the roll's pool (great for situations where Redd is forced to work out of his depth). "Effort" will re-roll all failed dice on a roll if it does not meet the threshold, glitches, or critically glitches (the point will be refunded if none of these happen). This is good when you are playing to Redd's strengths, but want to make sure you don't botch something.Good luck, and remember the fundamentals of shadowrunning:>Shoot straight!>Conserve ammo!>Never make a deal with a dragon!

>>992990Synopsis of previous thread, found here:>>970043 Well, the good news is you managed to stop that maniac Lance from carrying out some kind of terrorist attack on a local Urban Brawl game. The bad news is that Lance got away with it and is making BTLs that can make other people go crazy in the same way he did. Great. On the other hand, you feel like you and Barbie have really bonded AND you've managed to track down a dream-observatory in Bavaria! You and Rhun were hiking to it when you came across a badly-mauled hunter; one who had been attacked by something that wasn't a bear, given that bears can't draw pictograms. The culprits, you discovered, were the creepy-as-shit "Black Forest Bogeys" (naming tentative pending further scientific study), a hitherto-unknown species of protosapients (AKA near-human-intelligence creatures) who have been stealing people's food and trinkets. You aren't sure why they attacked the hunters yet, but something about them fascinates you...Meanwhile, your dreams have gotten worse. Last night you had one where you occupied the body of a professor at Miskatonic U in Massachusetts, who was apparently in some kind of cult. >>993452>>993404>>993496You flip open your commlink and request attempt to raise anyone on the other side of the door. All you get is a canned response from the door in German:"We are very sorry, but AGS Shelter 3 is at maximum possible occupancy. If there are any vehicles remaining outside, please use these to seek shelter elsewhere. All Allied German State shelters are located on the on-board map, which should be accurate within tolerances for the next year. Good luck, citizen!"Other than them, no commlink signal exists out here. You turn to the vehicle. It has the logo of the AGS armed forces stamped on the hood. The keys are in the ignition. When you turn it on, a map pulls up on the dashboard holoscreen showing a map of the AGS. Several large red dots appear on the map. One of them is in Hanover, another is where you are, a third is in Essen, and the last is in Frankfurt. Several areas, including Berlin and the Black Forest Republic, are highlighted in a toxic dark shades, with "BREACH ZONE" written on them. >>994085>>993971You get out of the vehicle and prepare to head in on foot. Before you leave the car, though, it occurs to you to check in the back for supplies. You find a gun labeled an "Onotari Executioner", some kind of carbine. You load up and head out. After two hours of grueling walking, you manage to find an emergency ladder that isn't rusted to ruin and climb down onto street level. The streets are deserted. You see the occasional rat scurry around the corner or pigeon take flight, but otherwise there is no life to be seen. Ugly, blotchy rainclouds form overhead, with a repulsive... greenish?... tinge to them.It begins to rain and the impact of each drop makes the horrid hissing noise of an acid. As it hits your skin, you can feel it eating away at your epidermis. You know that you have to find cover, quickly! An abandoned... former department store of some kind and an apartment complex offer the most obvious shelters. Since I'm pulling an all nighter, I will be taking questions till QM comes back! I'm Rhûn's player!
>>994508First off, how long have you had this character, and how did you come up with their backstory? How long have you guys been playing together? what about Shadowrun in general? How often do you meet up to play, and are the stories we see on the thread related directly, tangentially, or not at all?Did everyone in the group start at the same time, or did people come and go as time went on?Would you recommend Shadowrun to someone who has only played D&D 5e?
>>994508What's the story behind Rhun's loyalty to Lofwyr? Is it to Saeder-Krupp and Lofwyr, or is she only loyal to Saeder-Krupp because it's owned by Lofwyr? How does she view dragons in general?
>>9945256 Months! Eh, some inspiration here, a lack of knowledge but an interest in Wales there and you have the trappings of a good PC. Helps I was playing some good SR reference games and like to use media as an inspiration without straight up plagiarizing. We've been playing tabletop for 2 years now. We've known one another for 7 but because I've been geographically out of reach for 4... it's complicated. As for SR, we started in the summer this year and have run 1.5 campaigns (one was a test drive for this current one)We meet regularly save for holidays when we're all in different towns. We all started at the same time, save for Tizona, who has yet to find a good niche for their PC, and I feel will get some needed dev in time. Has been a blast to play with as the player has a wonderful sense of humor that's nice and playful in a setting like SR.I would recommend it. I like d6 pools far more than d20 systems both for probability curve and the way they pool success/failure conditions and are super flexible for mods. They are also easier to modify to suit your needs should an area of gameplay not feel like you want it to.>>994529Long story! Will post soon.
Story Time!>>994529Rhûn Hir ap Maelgwyn (AKA Hela'r Dryw) owes her loyalty to mostly S-K but by extension sees it as loyalty to Lofwyr due to the company structure and stylings (fatherly and imperial). Her whole life basically owes its existence to S-K, her father worked for them also as a runner, and he used his years of work to call in a favor for them: giving his daughter a fake SIN for a normal(ish) kinda life. However it appears running just comes natural to his side of the family and she was part of the gang's new guard by high school and old guard by college, however had to leave for Denmark because of extenuating circumstances. She really only respects two Dragons: Lofwyr and The Red Dragon of Wales. Both of them for helping her in some rough patches here and there (Lofwyr much less directly if he can even be attributed to it) and the Red Dragon because they both share an affinity for medieval Welsh music and history. The Red Dragon also is an avid Jackpoint user and set her up with some good running while also in general being more personable than some of her other contacts.
Also to be fair, I don't wanna answer questions about the QM because that's his business, mine is Rhûn and Rhûn related accessories. Appreciate the questions though.
>>994298>>994302Sorry, passed out. Okay, tiebreaker vote between these two, first vote decides, etc.
>>994951Ambush and call out.
>>994283>>Get ready to ambush
>>994525Hey, QM here, before I continue this story, let me answer the third question's second bit. The stories in this quest are currently directly related to the game. However, if things develop to the point where Redd has to strike out on his own (a real possibility based mostly on player input), the story will become more tangential, but still set in the same universe.

At the top, a carved basalt door stands. As you push open the door, you are hit in the face with a blast of steam. A ruined stone pen stands a good ten meters away from the entrance, down what used to be a clear path. A massive, ancient-looking clump of fungal growth towers some 20 meters away. Further in the back, a fire pit stands in front of some kind of trough, with rusted hooks hanging from the ceiling. Alright, so I'm slipping off to bed, but first, a little guidebook I'd like to call "A Guide to Metatypes">The Classic Model: Humans"Normal" humans are alive and thriving in the Sixth World, even if they aren't the majority anymore. There are still more humans than any one metatype taken INDIVIDUALLY, but all together, they outnumber the normals. Humans are completely average in every aspect, and are, in fact, the baseline used for measuring the other metatypes. Rumors of humans being "luckier" than other metatypes are so much drivel.>Sub-Metatype: NartakiHumanity has only one single sub-species out there, and it's the Nartaki, native to India. A rare and unusual group, almost more a mutation than a true subspecies, the Nartaki have four arms and bright blue, red, umber, or yellow skin, but are otherwise normal. In Hindu culture, Nartaki are frequently viewed as the incarnations of deva or asura.
>>1000987>Shiny, Happy People: ElvesThe first metatype to show itself, Elves are the winners of the genetic lottery: all elves are naturally graceful, slow to age (if they age at all: some conspiracy theories claim that elves just STOP AGING past a certain point) and really, really, ridiculously good-looking, all with no drawbacks!. An elf that's "ugly" by elf standards is still moderately attractive by human standards. It comes as little surprise that a lot of elves end up having egos the size of a planet and end up making isolated, separatist nations based on their own superiority.>Sub-Metatypes:>DryadsThese tree-hugging wimps look like elves, but more so, and often with a greenish tint to their skin. Dryads are breathtakingly beautiful and otherworldly in ways that sear their image onto other people's retinas. They are also weak and willowy and HIGHLY sensitive to pollution, causing most of them to live in rural or isolated areas, where they can live in peace among nature. TerraFirst worships the ground these guys walk on. Dryads originated in Greece, but can be found almost anywhere there are forests.>NocturnaSouth American natives, the Noctura resemble elves with panther eyes and a fine layer of black fur all over their bodies. This makes them unsettling to some, but Nocturna usually compensate for this with their preternatural levels of agility and grace, as well as their sensitive eyes and ears. Noctura are adapted to nocturnal lifestyles and have a minor sunlight allergy, leading many to become criminals or shadowrunners.>WakyambiThe "Sky People" of West African myth in flesh, Wakyambi resemble tall and long-limbed Africans with slightly pointed ears and trim physiques. The Wakyambi are known for their great speed and skill at intuitive reasoning, and mostly live isolated, tribal lifestyles.>Xapiri ThëpëNatives of the Amazon basin, the tribal Xapiri Thëpë resemble a race of plant-men more than the standard elf. They can naturally engage in photosynthesis and are very, VERY sensitive to pollution. Fewer than 10000 exist in the world, the overwhelming majority of which live in primitive tribes, so their existence is more of an academic note at this point. That's parts 1 and 2 of 6. >>1004313(I've read this quest since the beginning but have only recently begun playing. Perhaps our finished artifact is a vessel of sympathetic magicks and is a miniature of the larger apparatus it taps into?
>>1004370Yes, there in fact is, and Redd knows it! Mercury, Silver, God, and Copper are the four metals required to make the alloy Orichalcum, the 'King of Metals' and the most powerful magical reagent known, worth 50000 nuyen per gram. It's the consensus of historical scholars that Atlantis was the first civilization to discover the substance.
>>1004313Well, the sigils in the walls have Gold, Silver, and Copper. The Atlanteans also believed in a geocentric cosmos, concentric rings that rotate. Now, the Gold device is an outer ring, and is probably the outermost. Silver device goes in gold, and I'm betting Copper device with the Philosopher's Stone on the center represents Earth. Now the Mercury device is designed to fitinto a number of slots, so I'm hazarding that Mercury goes on Copper, feeding the Philosopher's Stone, whichwould create a magical current that activates Silver, which means Silver is attached to Copper, and then Silver probably causes electromagnetic currents to happen by way of moving magically, thus activating Gold which has circuits in it.So Mercury on Copper, Copper in Silver, Silver in Gold?
>>1004383What is the order of precedence found in Atlantean geocentric belief?Since the devices aren't mean to be fitted to each other but to specific places on the coffin's control panel, assuming that smaller fits into larger and that's the order is probably not something we should depend on.
>>1004507The order of the planets in Atlantean cosmology is:EarthThe SunMercury (the 'Sun's Handmaiden')The MoonMarsVenusJupiterSaturn
>>1004507>>1004720Well, since we obviously found an Alchemy lab, I figured we should go at it from the Alchemical perspective. The alchemical process involves metallic transformations in a certain order, from lead to gold: lead, tin, silver, mercury, iron, copper and finally gold. Finally, you attach the silver device to the protrusions on the Gold device. You then quickly input the 12-step startup code embedded into the device. The mana batteries creak to life, channeling mana into the device. The mercury becomes mana-charged, pumping mana into the copper device and trickling (from interior pipes, no doubt) down the gold devices grooves. The silver rings begin to rapidly rotate, turning into a blur of motion. The runes on the gold device crackle with power and start to rotate, spiral, and stutter, channeling hundreds of man-syllables of magical power per second. The white stone begins to glow a sort of greenish-purple, and fires a beam into the heart of the silver rings.A rift opens amidst the rings, which are now rotating fast enough to be virtually invisible. The input keyboard turns over, revealing a keyboard on the inverse side: one covered with the symbols used to represent days, months, years, and geographical coordinates. A compartment pops open on the side, revealing a helmet with trode-like studs all over it.>Input date and location, then don helmet.>Leave be.

Wait. God damn think of the implications this has.Unless it were affected by wards or other things, this could be used to spy on anyone at any time. >>1007437"We need to study this device further. Spot me.">2 hours laterAfter powering down the device, examining it, and correlating parts with your knowledge of Atlantean arcano-engineering, you have come to several conclusions. First: this device is completely unique. Every square inch of it is rich in layers of symbolic construction and sacred geometry that, to an Atlantean magus or Azothian priest, would make its purpose obvious. To a modern man, however, it is inscrutable: you suspect that even with the entire combined works of metahumanity on Atlantean culture and religion, there would STILL be levels of mystic allegory and metaphor totally lost on you. And that does not even START to cover the inner workings of the device: a brief look beneath the dais's brazen lid showed clockworks and tubes of mind-boggling complexity, and engineering in general is well outside the wheelhouse of your knowledge.Second: this device is not originally Atlantean in origin. As much as it is clearly a product of Atlantean design, it seems to utilize principles that were poorly understood even to the Atlanteans. You find it unlikely that the fleshcrafters of Hyperborea would make such a machine, which leads you to believe the design belongs either to the lost civilizations of Lemuria, Shangri-La, or Yith, has origins in the long-lost Second Age, or-most troubling to you- has an origin outside of Earth entirely.Third: The device is likely part of a set. You can tell this only from an inscription upon the back of the copper device, which portrays a five-color quincunx: white, black, red, blue, yellow.Fourth: The process by which this device works is highly energy-consuming. the mana batteries' current levels only provide enough energy for two more "viewings" of perhaps 5 minutes each.Fifth: The white stone is crucial to the device: all other components could be replicated, in theory, but the stone appears to be a big-a Artifact of some kind: a wholly unique magical item.Anything more than this would require IMMENSE periods of study, likely several weeks or possibly months, in laboratory conditions, with a complete breakdown of the device and cross-references with materials: clearly beyond your powers as an individual.>Attempt another 'Viewing session'>Persuade Rhun to serve as a guinea pig>Offer the device to a third party (write-in third party)>Make plans to break down and ship the device back to the states.>Destroy the device.>Remove the white stone.>Write-In

>>1009062ARMITAGE, HENRYA.M. Miskatonic UniversityPh. D. PrincetonLitt. D. Johns Hopkins.Head Librarian at Miskatonic University, 1895-1933.Most of the data on his youth and college education seems unremarkable for an academic, save that he seemed to harbor a fascination with Spiritualist topics and, shortly after its formation in 1875, became a member of the Theosophical Society. He had a formal falling-out with the group in 1890, for reasons never publicly disclosed. As the head of the Orne Library, Armitage had access to what was considered, at the time, the largest collection of esoteric and occult works on the planet (and, to this day, is easily within the top five repositories of arcane esoterica worldwide). Starting the eighth year of his curation, however, much of this collection was kept in a special, private collectors room, accessible without express permission and observation only to Armitage and several seniors members of university staff. Despite the controversy this decision generated, Armitage continued to be employed at MU until his death in 1933.Armitage is most well-known for his involvement in the Wilbraham killings of 1928. The perpetrator, one William Wheatley, had attempted to gain access to a number of books in the private collection of the Orne Library multiple times, which Armitage had repeatedly denied. Upon the theft of one of these books, the 'Chronicle of the Worm-King', Armitage immediately suspected Wheatley, and began a private investigation with his close friend HP Lovecraft that eventually exposed Wheatley as the serial murderer nicknamed "The Wilbraham Vanisher".Armitage was an avid secularist later in life (most likely as a result of his falling-out with the Theosophists), rabidly denouncing the "cheap carnival trickery of so-called occultists and sorcerers that they use to defraud the public" many times. In support of debunking the occult, Armitage formed a Skeptic group known as the Society of Cosmic Illumination, which eventually reformed itself into the American Skeptics Society in 1957, and expanded into the International Skeptics society in 1987. Members of this group included renowned horror author and one-time US Senator Howard Philips Lovecraft, poet Clark Ashton Smith, and regional writer William Julius Derleth.Armitage eventually perished during the Orne Library Fire of 1933, when an improperly extinguished cigarette ignited a blaze in the public section of the library. Armitage attempted to save the private collection from the blaze, and managed to recover over two dozen of the 40 unique works in the collection before dying due to his burns. A memorial statue of him stands to this day in the entryway of the Orne Library.>You close the text, certain you've extracted everything useful from it. An in-depth discussion of their relationship can be found in "'Stars and Shadows': the Remarkable Friendship between Charles Fort and Henry Armitage", available from Miskatonic Publishing.

The non-Canon morning matrix-cast "ShadowWoke" is happy to invite Rhun to today's broadcast!https://youtu.be/rzvXBFwcyekWhat does Rhun's imaginary friend sound like accounting for a Welsh to English translation? How much Nuyen has been dumped into her Adept friendly bioware augments? Does she have room or inclination to get any more bioware alterations? What's Rhun's favorite commercial jingle and way is it considered treason if it isn't from an S-K subsidiary?
>>1013823"What d'ya mean what's he sound like? He's one of the greatest High Kings in all Prydain! He sounds kingly! It's a warm tone and his voice fills the room, I'm surprised he isn't talking over you while we speak.""I can't really remember, especially since some of them were done while I was kinda comatose after being run over in a game of Urban Brawl.""Oh, and I'm not an Adept thank ya, I'm just good at me job.""I don't intend to get anymore modifications to my body because I still look pretty human and feel it too. You can't impress the pretty men and women in your life without some fleshy bits, now can ya?""It might have to be the one for the company that made me sword. "Alright alright, I'm hittin' the hay. More questions for my lovely stream audience can be answered tomorrow. Nighty night loves, this here is Hela'r Dryw signing off."
>>1013716We should get those UZI's, grenades, and check them for commlinks. Also check the VTOL pilot's commlink for who he was talking to.I wonder if we can fence the VTOL and the weapons, maybe keep some of them.We also need to search the VTOL for anything that can help us track the Red Hand.
Hey, is the anon who started the primer on meta human types going to finish that?
>>1013986Is that merc equipment 6th world modern enough to be ID locked to a particular handprint? Might be booby trapped with electroshock or knockout gas if someone not keyed in attempts takeoff.inb4 the local Night Gaunts get their hands on the leftover hardware and do more damage to themselves than to the hunters pursuing them. I'd imagine these stealthy skullface scavengers would likely just get freaked out by the noise or be killed when they triumphantly shoot into the sky and have the bullets rain down.
>>1013986We can sell the all the excess gear and keep some of the guns and grenades. I'm assuming the AK-97 is just a cyberpunk '47. The VTOL would certainly reimburse us for the expense of this trip.

>>1014089How is it like to be besties with a Loud House sister?
>>1014249"It's like hanging out with a squirrel with the best fashion sense and a deep love of soycaf lattés. All in all it's been pretty great because she knows me style. She still doesn't approve of my dress at concerts or raves.
>>1014474Who in your group would you like to bone? Or if you had to pick one, who would it be?
>>1014553"Eh, nobody really, but if I had to pick, from what I hear Rex is a professional and a gentleman, a real 10/10. Don't know why you'd wanna know though."
>>1014007Yes I am! First, howdy from Columbus, everyone!Second off: before I restart this thread, I'll finish my Guide to Metatypes!:>Little People, Big World: DwarvesWith the exception of elves, perhaps no other metatype has an easier time in the Sixth World then dwarves. Besides their slightly pointed ears, 4'1" average height, bushy beards (for the men) and square jaws (for everyone), dwarves look basically human, and usually find themselves employed in the same kinds of jobs humans do.Despite someone being much shorter than the average humans, dwarves tend to weigh the same as their human equivalents, as they are very dense and muscular: dwarves are very strong and tough, and just as agile as elves, although their reaction times are slower than even a human's. They also tend to have superior mental endurance, making them good workers in high-stress scenarios. Dwarves also have strong immune systems and natural infrared vision that makes them capable of navigating even in pitch-dark environments. The only major trouble they have is the fact that many pieces of technology need to be modified to accommodate their diminutive stature, which makes things somewhat awkward at times (dwarves that cannot afford a meta-modded car make do with cut-up stilts and booster seats).>Sub-Metatypes:>GnomesA German-native race of dwarves, gnomes are distinguished from their standard cousins by their neotonous features: a fully-grown gnome looks like a 12-14 year-old child (save for the females, who often have a disconcerting combination of proportionally mature secondary characteristics and a childlike face). Gnomes are far, FAR more fragile than the standard dwarf and lack their heightened immune system, but have a notably higher average IQ and an unusual resilience to magic.>HanumanAn Indian variant, the Hanuman are a race that resembles humanoid monkeys more than anything human. With prehensile tails, opposable thumbs on their feet, Hanuman lack the massive endurance, are notably weaker and less intelligent than standard, and brash attitudes, but have a great sense of intuition that compensates.>KoborokuruWith pale white hair and childlike figures, the Japanese Koborokuru possess incredible speed and agility. They are frequently discriminated against by the Japanese government.>MenehuneThe Hawaiian Dwarf race possess amphibious adaptations and short, brown hair all over their body.(Orks, Trolls, and Others to follow after I go to dinner.)
>>1014578Sudo: What's wrong Rex?Rex: I sense a disturbance.
>>1015096>They are frequently discriminated against by the Japanese government. From what I remember, the Emperor has been pushing back against the institutionalized racism. Though a lot of the Japancorps still are racist, and I suppose that the career bureaucrats of the government still try to make life hard for metahumans when they can.
>>1015096>It's Not Easy Being Green(skin): OrksOrks, despite being the largest non-human sapient race on the planet, are also, arguably, the most discriminated-against. With a foot on most humans, short, pointed ears, bodies layered thick with muscles, and jutting tusks replacing their lower canines, Orks have a truly savage appearence, and that is how they are viewed by most: savages. And this stereotype is not entirely fabricated: not only are orks significantly stronger and tougher than humans, they also have larger amygdalas that lead to increased aggression and a weakened capacity for logical thought. As a result, most orks are employed in heavy lifting possessions and/or end up taking to lives of crime. Orks used to be nicknamed "greenskins", but their skin normally has natural flesh tones.>Sub-Metatypes:>HobgoblinsWith green skin, pitch-black eyes, mouths full of ripping teeth, smooth, hairless skin, and body builds more in the line with a baseline human, the hobgoblins of Central Asia look like monsters out of children's tales. Despite this appearance, however, hobgoblins seem to have an aura of dark allure that makes them very good at interacting with others socially. The famed ork anger issues are still present, however: hobgoblins are infamous for their ability to hold a grudge and bear no insult, no matter how slight.>OgresShorter than the standard ork (putting them in normal human height range), with protruding jaws, massive hands, wide mouths, and smooth, blubbery skin, the European ogre is shunned by most of society for their grotesque appearances and rumors of cannibal behavior: rumors not helped by the ogre's ability (and, usually, willingness) to digest almost anything that can fit in their mouth. Ogres are mostly found employed in manual labor or, occasionally, as janitors.>OniWith jutting horns, elf-like ears, bulging eyes, and skin that is invariably bright red, blue, or orange, the Oni of Japan are a fearsome race to behold. While less muscular than orks, oni compensate through impressive natural agility and force of personality. Many oni have incorporated themselves into Japanese culture as bodyguards, following bushido code in a sort of rebellion against the stereotype of their race as violent, out-of-control, and drunk.>SatyrThe goat-men of Greece, surprisingly, are an ork subspecies with small tusks, shorter builds, small horns, and goat legs. Their species is known for possessing average IQ on parity with standard humans (the only member of the ork family has such a score), as well as excellent reaction times.
>>1015774>Big and Beastly: TrollsTowering at an average of 10 feet in height, trolls are the smallest "mainline" minority of metahuman: giant, ungainly beasts swollen with muscle, with clumps of horn protruding from their head and hard, stony skin almost like armor plates. Trolls are immensely strong and tough, but also ungainly, slow-witted, and antisocial. All of these traits combined condemn most trolls to the edges of society, doing any sort of work that requires brute force and not much else. Trolls also have immense metabolic needs and require especially-designed products to suit their tremendous builds and prodigious strength.>Sub-Metatypes:>CyclopsWith a single bulging eye and protruding horn, and rippling with even more muscles, the Greek cyclops is an imposing sight. Cyclopses also suffer from even lower IQ scores than trolls, furthering their social ostracism.>FomoriansResembling nothing more than larger orks, Fomorians (who primarily hail from Scotland and Wales) have a savage, survivalistic set of instincts that make many of them struggle in modern society. They enjoy a greater degree of tolerance due to their more "human" appearance.>GiantsA Pan-European breed, the Giant towers at 15 feet on average, with a decidedly human appearance and strangely bark-like skin. Giants struggle to fit into a society that simply was not made for them. Literally. On an architectural level.>MinotaursWith a bull's jutting horns, profuse body hair, thick hides, and a combative disposition, the Greek Minotaurs are a race to be reckoned with, and are often found serving in mercenary groups. They have better intuitions than trolls, but are still far less intelligent than humans.
>>1016021>The REAL Freaks: Everyone Else>ChangelingsHumans mutated by Sudden Unexplained Resurgent Genetic Expression (or SURGE), Changelings have countless physical quirks and mutations too many and varied to fully document. "Lizard-men" like Sudo are a fairly common mutation, however.>CentaursThe horse-men of legend, found in North America and Southern Europe. Actually a species of six-limbed, sapient horse, centaurs tend to be clannish and tribal. Innately magical.>NagasThe mystic talking serpents of India and Southeast Asia, Naga have mystical guardian powers that, until their sapience was known, caused them to be used as guard dogs. Innately magical.>PixiesMinute, bizarre airborne pranksters of unknown origin, pixies are incredibly intelligent, but completely un-integrated into human society. Innately magical.>SasquatchesThe peaceful and primitive men of the North American forests have powers of mimicry that make them simply fade into the background of their wild homes. Innately magical.
