Veraga Prime was a buzzing hive of interstellar traffic, shuttles and ships diving and lifting through the atmosphere above the bustling mega-city. A chorus of information washes off the world through multiple spectrums, the stealth cloaked Eyegore bathing in the deluge and sifting through it for anything interesting it might find. It hid from the patrolling Confederate ships, it's cluster of eyes and sensitive organs twitching passively. On the surface, amongst the teeming throngs of innumerable souls of the largest mega-city and space port on the planet, agents of the Necrotic Armada waited for their final meeting with the Wraithborn Cartel. Buddy and his partners, the vorh Eigha and the netu Clud, sat in the cargo bay of the Wick playing a game of cards with several of their Necrolyte guards. Their personal demi-Think Tank floats off to the side in boredom as it observes impassively.Out on the landing pad they were renting on of the human Legionnaires sat on a crate smoking a foul smelling cigar and tapped her foot against the metal floor. The massive sky-scraping pylon they were on offered a good view of the city as the sun set and the buildings began to illuminate. The specks of ships in the upper atmosphere shone with the last rays of light, the space elevator miles away a sliver of golden light piercing the heavens. The Legionnaire drops the butt of the cigar and crushed it underfoot but the excited voices from their neighbors at the port caught her attention. Around her people of all species were emerging from their ships or the pylon itself and staring up in awe as they chattered among themselves. Looking up she gave a start then shouted for the others through the open cargo doors. Buddy and the others emerged, bickering over the last hand dealt but fell silent as they looked up.Floating, just above the atmosphere and illuminated by the last rays of sunlight was a large fleet that had emerged from sub-space only minutes prior. Yet it was the massive battleship at its core that drew everyone's attention. Your Eyegore stares in bewilderment at the great capitol ship bristling with weaponry that rivaled the Charnel Vault but it's design was far more archaic than the modern Confederate ships.A relic of the old Alliance of Planets, the bane of the old Necrotic Armada, the Dauntless has resurfaced.

>>948903>wake up check twitter. >ITS BACKSorry family, I'm gonna be busy today, something important came up..
still haven't finished the damn thing, but here's the work so far. Good to see thread back up Grave
>>948903The red sun rises over Horizon's Drop, rays of light striking the spires of Iti'a'Ropku and the crystal forms of the Requiems sending sprays of crimson light across the city of bone and bedrock. The living inhabitants began to stir and start their day, filling the streets alongside Reconstructed.A ructu, staying behind from the ambassadors group, pushes a small canoe along one of the many canals that twisted through the city, a Talon servant checking the fishing rods and nets. Former pirates and colonists head to their workshops to finish last minute checks on their hoverbikes and necrotic chariots. Esat buzz along the orchards between the streets and boulevards, picking fruit from the Armatocere crops and carrying them in baskets of woven kelp strands. One of Red-Leaf-Strains sister alphas, an old Osogo by the name of Tramples-Root with a pet Gargoyle perched on her broad shoulder, walks at the head of a group of Reconstructed and other Osogo carrying food and supplies to go meet another herd finishing their pilgrimage to the mountain city. In the valley near the grand city colossal trees unfurled their leaves and flowers bloomed as the sunlight reached the Armatocere treeships rooted in the ground, the floral guests awakening fully.First Necromancer Jor had been awake for several hours, roused by the stern voice of the Deep Rot in his mind. He chewed on his thumbnail as he and the Voidsinger Commander watched the image of Veraga Prime and the Dauntless' fleet before a tear in space is opened and the fleet disappears into sub-space.The human looked over to the Osjiic in concern and the void-touched alien nods, "Foul omens," he said in his gruff voice, "the Dauntless has only been viewed a handful of times by the Osjiic Empire. Eyegores across the sector have been alerted to keep watch."Jor nods and looks to another holo-screen showing an image of Horizon's Drops moon, the surface bristling with pylons and anti-orbital weapons hiding the temples of the Armada's holy orders, "Still no word from Jadyk or Valresko?"The voice of the Deep Rot booms through the room<None yet, Necromancer Jor>Sighing the human nods and was about to reply when the Deep Rot interrupts suddenly<But we have established a connection with the wayward Voidknight Disciple though. Patching you through now.>

For instance i was thinking what if during his tour of Duty the voidknight keeps making Choir status and leaving them out near the enemy cities to sing songs of dissapointment and dispair at the planets current rulers. That aught to confuse the fuck out of the ruling council
>>949098A holo-screen flickers to life before the two living generals of the Necrotic Armada and it took a moment for the image to clear before the pair found themselves eye-to-socket with the Disciple. Despite the lack of facial features Jor could tell they were confused at the sight of them. The Voidknight Disciple salutes with a fist thumping to his armored chest, the motion mimicked by the two living beings, "Greetings Necromancer Jor, Commander. I was hoping to speak with Lord Jadyk."The balding human gives a small laugh, "So would I. Unfortunately Lord Jadyk is indisposed at the moment. It is good to hear from you nonetheless. Lorgul will be pleased to see you in one piece and well."The Disciple bows their head and removes their horned helm, voidflames indistinct through the image, "We were forced to create a shadow of the Deep Rot to establish connection once we had the resources. I have been following the task set for me by Jadyk and the..." he trails of a moment and clacks his jagged teeth together before continuing, "My forces have been building themselves, hiding underground and harvesting the bounty of this planet. Eventually, I hope to return victorious to the Armada.Commander," he says suddenly, looking to the Osjiic Legionnaire, "You would be pleased with a discovery I have made here. The locals of this world, the native intelligent life subjugated by the remnants of the old Armada, have a natural affinity for the Void," he flicks a finger and a separate screen pops up for them. A pair of the Natives, tri-limbed with large split beaks, sat in meditation floating back to back with Voidlight flickering over their forms, "They sing the chorus of the Void now and burn with our flame, ignited from my own fire."The Osjiic lets out a satisfied laugh and claps his six-fingered hands together, "Very good! The Void is fickle and to find a race it clings to naturally is a rarity, very good indeed Disciple."The Disciple bows their head in thanks to the other nameless vessel of Voidflame, "They speak of how the Council harvests those that show the potential. I plan to liberate more of them in the future. Perhaps they will help with my task," they look off screen for a moment and waves a hand. A data-packet begins to stream across the void through the telepathic link of the Deep Rot and it's stunted lesser, "I am sending the data I have gathered of this world. We hope this will be of use to the Armada."Jor skims over some of the data as its funneled to them and nods in satisfaction, "So far this looks promising," he says, noting the advancements to biomass farming the Voidknight Disciple had made then looks up to the screen once more, "We will be in contact if you need anything, Disciple. Lord Jadyk will be proud of your progress."The Disciple salutes and bows, "Thank you First Necromancer. Please have Lord Jadyk contact me when he is able, I wish to speak to him of certain matters," he says before the screen falls.

So a random idea inspired by Lorguls memories while building Gral, energy infused reconstructed would that be like regular constructed that have special energy attack/breathe weapon and a volatile detonation on death?
>>949289Underneath the sun-baked surface of Clour Reconstructed continue their excavation of Ruscuvs vault. Requiems and Dirges have finally cleared the collapsed tunnel of rubble, hauling tons of stone and dirt to pile up in the desolate canyon. A base had risen up around the mouth of the tunnel, Reconstructed standing guard and patrolling the sprawling canyons. Gargoyles and Cyclops perch almost unseen among the crags and cliffs, their chromatic skin rippling to blend in with the stone. As the last of the rubble was cleared a large chamber was revealed, shattered pillars scattered along the great hall with portions of the ceiling threatening to cave-in. There were the remnants of a Confederate science camp near the entrance to the room as if afraid to progress too far in. All data had been removed, leaving behind nothing more than drooping tents and an empty prefabricated laboratory. The dust show that the site had likely been abandoned when the Osjiic Empire had invaded the system and took over the planet and Station 88 in orbit above.Wormstar runes line the walls and pillars, telling the tale of Ruscuvs conquests against the living eons ago. Across the grand hall were a pair of black stone doors that towered large enough for a Brute to walk through unstooped, figures resembling Talons and other Reconstructed carved into their surface. Mining tools lay in a pile nearby and marks on the doors show they had attempted to gain entry but a quick inspection showed the stone to be unnaturally strong.A Stinger investigating the door lay a clawed hand on the door searching for a switch or anything to open it but at their touch the chamber rumbled and the figures on the door seemed to writhe in the dim light. Dust fell from above and the Stinger jumped back, hissing in alarm as a seam appeared down the middle. The doors cracked open only a few millimeters, dust and toxic air hissing from inside before falling still once more.Carefully the undead approach the door but they halt as the chamber rumbles once more, dust and stone falling intermittently from above. An echoing voice hisses from within, speaking with the old tongue of the Wormstar."Prove yourselves worthy. Only one of flesh with loyalty to the Wormstar may enter and gain an audience.">Ruscuvs tomb has been excavated and a challenge issuedHow shall the Armada respond to this challenge?

>>949707Jor had spoken with the Voidsinger Commander after receiving the challenge issued by the voice in the vault. There was a brief discussion between them about which of them should go and Jor only relented and agreed after the Osjiic reminded him that the human had much more experience unearthing undead tombs than he did.So now the human was boarding a corvette waiting for him, reaver staff in hand and Neun, the oversized shardspitter that had been Jadyk's personal sidearm, holstered at his side. He hesitated at the ramp and turned to where Red-Leaf-Strains and the Commander stood with several of the other Necromancers. The Osogo bows her head and flit her ears back, squinting her races version of a smile in encouragement."Send for me or the Generals if you need backup. I will head there immediately if you need it," the Osjiic said and clapped a heavy hand on the humans shoulder gently, the Osogo echoing the sentiment.Jor grunted from the heavy blow and nodded, "Thank you, my friends. I pray to the Wormstar this one is as friendly as Jadyk," he says with a laugh and turned back to ascend the ramp. He lifted a hand in farewell as the door sealed and the corvette lifted off, wind whipping around them from the engines.Ascending into orbit Jor stands on the bridge of the ship and nods to the Think Tank sealed in its cradle where it was linked with the ship. Space-time contorts around the ship as it's Combi-drive activates and the spacecraft disappears.
>>949959They grow up so fast
>>949959Rains raged across Bastion, the perpetual storms over the moon seeming to pick up intensity over the smoldering peak of the Lavafathers prisonhome. The rain hissed and evaporated when it struck the motionless form of Punisher Agona, the titan of necrotic and pyroclastic might illuminated by the great lake of molten stone she stood by. The ground underneath her shifted and she finally moved, lifting her eyeless gaze to the center of the lava pool.Like some great beast breaching the surface of a molten ocean a chrysalis of glowing obsidian rises up. The ground rumbles and cracks appeared through the volcanic glass before shattering and falling away. Joy welled up within Agona as she stared across the lake to her sister finally emerged and reforged.Punisher Muic stands from where she knelt, blackened armor of stone and melted metal creaking and hissing in the downpour. Much like Agona she towered over regular Reconstructed and the other Generals of the Armada, rivulets of molten stone seeping from her armor like glowing blood. The moon shakes as the voice of the Lavafather booms out with a great spout of molten stone at the volcanos peak, "Arise Punisher Muic. You have been reforged. You will blaze a path across the stars and bring ruin to the enemies of the New Necrotic Armada and the Obsidianborn."Holding out a hand over the molten stone a glob of lava rises and reshapes itself in her grasp, forming into an ax with a single blade of black obsidian. Striding across the surface of the lake she joins Agona, the pair clacking their forearms together in greeting, "It is good to see you again, sister. How does it feel to be Reforged?" the elder asks.Muic laughs, the cracked stone of her helm glowing with heat, "Warm. It feels good, sister. I can't wait to enter battle and test myself."A chunk of obsidian that had been resting against the ground lifted itself up and floated over to them, "You may get that chance soon. The Lavafather wishes to test the mettle of our fleets against the Ahkam and wishes to know if you will join us."Agona looks at the Obsidianborn in surprise, "We would require permission from Lord Jadyk. Where will you be striking?"The glass construct spins slowly in place much like the Think Tanks, "The Ahkam call the system Rolan. It would not be a full-scale invasion but rather raiding strikes against their infrastructure. We still lack the numbers to carry out such a task without aid from the Armada but the Stonestar hunger for battle. We have prepared a stealth cloaked fleet and only await to see if you will join us to witness our glory."The Obsidianborn and Stonestar wish to launch a raid against a nearby Ahkam system. Agona mulls the decision over in her mind for several long moments then looks to her sister, "It would be enlightening for us to join and gauge the strength of the Obsidianborn fleet for Lord Jadyk."At Muics agreement Agona turns back to the Obsidianborn, "Very well. We shall join you. Lord Jadyk would not wish us engaging in a prolonged ground conflict but I see no reason why he would oppose raids against the Ahkam given that we are at war with them."The Obsidianborn construct twists in the air with a sense of excitement, "Excellent! Preparations will be finished and we will launch when ready."As it spoke to them a heavy cruiser of shaped stone and warped metal descends from the sky above. It's hull studded with weapon mounts and the shapes of Stonestar fightercraft clinging to it like parasites on a great beast. A shuttle detaches from its underside and approaches to gather the pair of Generals.>Punishers Agona and Muic are accompanying an Obsidianborn strike force and will be launching a raid on the nearby Ahkam shortly(sorry for the delays folks)

>>950462Across Iti'a'Ropku the citizens of the Armada carry on with their self-appointed tasks free to decide how they spend their days. Some tend to the crops and orchards that grew in the city, working in the dirt alongside Talons and other undead. Others guide small boats and canoes along the canals fishing for the fish and crustaceans that came from several worlds or pulling out bunches of the kelp that had become a staple of the Armada. Mechanics and former pirates tend to the racing machines that had become a popular pass-time among the living in preparation for their nightly races.Necrolyte Legionnaires patrol or run drills in the snow-covered peaks and valleys surrounding the grand city, fighting mock battles against Stingers and Trolls. Red-Leaf-Strains sits with the other fledgling Necromancers in the temple that had come to house them where they were tutored by Think Tanks on learning the language and songs of the Wormstar and trained to strengthen their burgeoning telekinetic might.Young David, only a few months old but already walking and speaking partial words, grew faster with each day the scar of Jadyk's mark starkly pale on his dark brow. His parents were slowly growing used to the idea that their son had been chosen by Jadyk for greatness and knew that he was more than just a normal human now. They no longer flinched from the Talon and Stalker pair that were assigned to them, the undeads claws reduced for the safety of the child as they helped take care of him.Below the streets of Iti'a'Ropku in tunnels full of steam and heat the Stonestar refugees went about their business, continually reshaping their new homes to their liking. Cloned chitin-slugs from Bastion are farmed alongside caverns full of fungal-lichen, the Armada Think Tanks managing to replicate the thermal springs that fed and fueled their farms. Brave Stonestar had begun emerging from the comforting tunnels to walk the streets of Iti'a'Ropku with more frequency now that the majority of the orthodox Stonestar had returned to Bastion. It was slow but they had begun to socialize with the other inhabitants of the city. Groups of the former warriors warming up quickly to the Necrolyte Legionnaires, several of them already volunteering to join the Legion after seeing their Voidsinger kin among their ranks. The living seemed to be flourishing under the New Necrotic Armada, allowed to choose how they spent their time in leisure and safety despite their violent "adoptions" into the citizenry. There was still minor dissent, the most headstrong and rebellious sent either to the orbital prisonships or to the polar hunting grounds to shiver in the cold.Horizon's Drop, once a cold, lonely planet at the fringe of Confederate space surrounded by the alien Osjiic, Ahkam, and Armatocere, had become a place unlike any before where the Living of many races coexisted peacefully with the Undead.
>>950614Across the planet all those under the protection and command of Lord Jadyk looked up at the pale moon looming in the blue sky as they finally sensed his return and emergence.Deep within the lonely temple of the Solar Dominators you awaken from your meditation with a start. Floating across from you in the still form of Dominator Valresko, pale white armor wreathed in thin sheet of solar fire. You look down at your hand, a ball of orange flame appearing at your command in your palm. It flickers faintly, green flames licking from it as your test yourself. Until Dominator Valresko's creation you had only known of the Wraiths being able to control and manipulate the powers of the Solar. Its energy the antithesis to your own Necrotic might but with your newest Generals help you have learned to contain and control it for now. While you were no longer in threat of incinerating yourself with your own power the danger of the Solar is well known. If you had not gained the power of the Void before attempting to steal the Solar it surely would have used your own oceans of Necrotic might as fuel and reducing you to ash.Only by balancing the powers of Necrotic, Void, and Solar, each feeding on and fueling each other, have you managed to gain a grasp on them. Deep in your bones you feel as if this would be the limit of your elemental abilities, the energy of the Arc and other unknown powers beyond your reach for now. Yet for now, you feel content. You look up and realize that Valresko had been staring at you with his smooth featureless gaze. Bowing your head as Kyn'tk slithers from within your to reform in your grasp, "You have my thanks, Valresko. Without your aid this flame that had once been yours in life would have been my final end."The reptilian monstrosity bows before you, his weapon Anathema drifting into his grasp, "It is my honor to aid you, Lich-Lord. We are paradoxes, you and I. Not meant to be in this universe so we must protect each other. We are but vessels for these great powers and I know we shall achieve great things together.">Lich-Lord Jadyk has emerged from his meditation, gaining control of his Solar powers>>950518>>950570Yup, it's in the ship builder.Pyroclastic Destroyer Size: 550 meters Capacity: 600 10 Pin Missile Pods 2 Hull Spine Cannons 10 Fixed Void Screamers 12 Chain Flenser Turrets 10 Molten Scrapgun Auxiliary Reinforced Shielding 6 Swarm HangarsDesigned by Agona and Obsidianborn engineers these ships function at the center of defensive blockades. >>950879>>950734I can agree to this schedule.
>>950879Yeah, let's do as many of these in this order as we can.
>>950734Upon departing from the Solar Temple you are bombarded with messages from the Deep Rot rapidly briefing you with an update of events that had occurred. Surprised so much had happened in such a short time you sift through them before the mention of Jor off to deal with Ruscuvs test alone caught your attention immediately.Seating yourself on your Throne, the construct having waited patiently for your emergence, contact Jor as he is en route to the vault. A holoscreen is projected from the demi-Think Tank embedded in the stone throne and reveals Jor kneeling low on the corvette's bridge."Hail, Lich-Lord Jadyk and praise the Wormstar," he intones in the old tongue of the Wormstar thick with the accent of his homeworld Corri then stands when you motion him to rise, "I am pleased to see you are well, Jadyk," he continues in the more comfortable galactic trade language."As am I, Jor. Between us, there were a few moments I was afraid you would have to inherit the mantle of leadership from me and run the Armada yourself," you say nonchalantly. If you had lips you'd be grinning in amusement at how Jor paled at that idea."I-I had no idea it was that serious, Lord Jadyk. Is everything alright now?" You could sense his concern and you wonder if it was genuine or if the thought of becoming the next leader of the Armada was so intimidating to him."Much better. If things go my way you shall not see the end of me in your natural lifetime and beyond. I plan to continue our work together for much longer, have no fear, my friend," talons clacking on the armrest of the throne a screen pops up showing you the door of Ruscuvs vault, sensors and gargoyle eyes unable to detect anything beyond the threshold, "I am quite impressed by your initiative, Jor. Volunteering to enter a Lich's possible tomb? Would have thought once was enough you."A brief grimace passes the mans face but he recovers quickly and runs a hand across his head to smooth back his dark hair and only glancing idly at the strands that fell away at his touch before speaking with surprising confidence, "There was no one else that could go. Neither you nor your Generals could face this task and I am a believer of the power of the Wormstar."You look at his image and could sense no lie to his words and he continues, "I am a believer in it's strength that it gave you."Nodding in satisfaction you relax slightly in your Throne, the fractal ribbons of twisting metal that was your weapon and familiar curled up tight within your ribcage keeping its distance from the wooden mask, "Very good, Jor. I would have sent you without fear in the first place," there was a faint flicker of the screen as the ship dropped out of it's FTL, Jor looking down thoughtfully then looking back up."Is there anything I should know about this Ruscuv? The Deep Rot has no memories of her," he inquires.>cont
>>951095"Ruscuv was more like a Voidknight than a Lich, relishing physical combat to a degree that made her nearly reckless. She's been remade countless times, occasionally she'd challenge me to a duel to test our latest physical forms. She never had the strength in controlling the energies of the Necrotic that I did but she was a genius at Reconstructing. I do not know her origins or how she came to serve the Wormstar, just that she transcended several centuries after I had," as you spoke you started to remember flashes of the vain lich, "One thing she craved more than any other Lich was the worship of the Living. It was she that helped form the original Necrolyte orders and the Chitin Choir."Jor was nodding eagerly as he listened, gripping his staff tight as he prepared himself mentally. You jut a talon at his image, "Go forth to your test. Succeed and either recruit Ruscuv if that is in fact her tomb or gain whatever treasure she has hidden there. I expect great things from you, Jor. A god is only as powerful as their faithful."Jor bows low and speaks in the Wormstar tongue once more, "To Death and Through it to Eternity," the gaunt man smiling before the screen winked out.You sit in silence for a long time mulling over that phrase you had not heard since the last time you had seen another of the Wormstars liches, a phrase whispered only to those destined for greatness under the Wormstar.
End of thread?
>>951095>Surprised so much had happened in such a short timeI see what you did there
>>951100Boy, I sure hope Ruscuv doesn't expect a duel from whoever takes up her challenge. That would be kind of awkward.
>>951144Grave isn't dead til he says he is dead. You cannot keep a good skeletons down
>>951165You got this Jor! Roll to seduce>Rolled a 1Jor... We are soooo sorry
>>951100As the Throne drifts through the halls of the moon you establish a connection to the Voidknight Disciple on the world controlled by the necrotically corrupt Council. His image appears before you kneeling much like Jor had been. You motion for him to rise, "It is good to hear from you my lost child. How is your visit to Colera?"The Disciple stands, his helm tucked under his arm, "It progresses thankfully silently. I have been slowly expanding my bases and securing a powerbase. The locals just think it's a rather dangerous rebel cell or freak occurrences those few times I've had to send troops to deal with them.""I've heard how you discovered the Natives there are naturally gifted at controlling the Void and even created a pair of Voidsingers for yourself. Very impressive," you compliment and the flame wreathed skeleton nods in thanks."There are others I wish to recruit but for now these two are a start. I hope the Armada can find use for the other research my Think Tanks have completed while I was away. My Talons are already applying the new stealth tech you gained from the Armatocere to the Coffins I have. That will make transporting supplies between my holdings much simpler. The skies here are quite hazardous," he says with a small laugh. A brief memory from the frigates memory of the encounter with the giant, necrotic energy spewing beasts playing in a small screen off to the side. The Disciple grows quickly serious, "I have confirmed there is a shard of the Wormstars physical body here. The Council use it to power themselves and their flying city. My living slaves dream vividly with the Dreamstones I have crafted, visions of the petrified corpsepiece at the heart of the city. It is dead, truly, yet its dreams are like a miasma here. They seep into the living even without the help of the Dreamstone."Tapping your claws together thoughtfully you nod, "Do what you must to recover this artifact. Steal it, rip it from the ruins of the city, or even just bring the city itself to me. I need that shard and you shall bring it to me."He salutes and kneels, "It shall be done, Lord Jadyk.">Voidknight Disciple will continue to focus on attaining the Wormstar Fragment
>>951308Now this is something I plan to start up the next time we run. The Voidknight Disciple portion of the quest will now take place in the background of the quest, Jadyk (you folks) giving assignments and deciding on missions for him to complete. This will range from things like:>focusing on building up troops>sabotaging enemy resources>highjacking their shit>recruiting new followers>starting a cult>launching raids>etc
>>951324I would think starting cults and securing a place to build a few legit modern starships are ours best bet. Maybe raid a few places far from the hidden base to throw off the scent.
>>951324Oh boy, we get to decide what we get up to with the wayward disciple, this should be good. >>highjacking their shit>>recruiting new followers>>starting a cultYou see all this nice, flashy shit you have council? It's our flashy, nice shit now.
>>951324ya this guy here >>951340 seems to have it right.
>>951324I'd like to create a special undead "emissary" that will go to the Council's city and demand they give up the shard, and when they refuse it blows up or runs away and acts as a beacon or whatever else we can think of.>>951340>>951351Supporting this.
>>951324Sounds good. I rather like the idea of establishing cults everywhere, having them hollow out underground caverns and building ships in them. Then when the time comes an armada rises from the ground and takes over.
>>951308The Armatocere's treeships stretch their branches out into the light of the sun, basking in the cold air as a gentle shower of pollen fills the air around them but nowhere as oppressive as the haze that had surrounded the Eldertrees. Already a carpet of moss-like plantlife was creeping out from where the roots of the trees dug into the rocky soil, small pale flowers blooming in patches.A pair of the hulking cacti warriors stood motionless by the roots, hollow pockets of scar tissue dotting their spined flesh. Sapling Slrrt glided along their roots as they watched several of the floral creatures that resembled a mass of twisted vines and sharp thorns moved about the clearing planting what you guessed either to be nonsentient plant-life either for aesthetics or some unknown practical use. Shrubs and small mundane trees erected in the cold mountain air with small alien creatures dwelling among their leaves.A solitary Think Tank floats into the camp and Sapling Slrrt twists their stalk to greet it when it drifted up to them. The construct introduces itself as the personal assistant to the Armatocere Ambassador as long as they stayed on Horizon's Drop before projecting a holographic image of yourself before the walking, talking flower.Slrrt bends their main stalk in a motion similar to bowing, one of the few motions they shared with the meat-creatures they shared the galaxy with and their mechanical voice drones out of the small box embedded in the green flesh, "Greetings, Jadyk. How was your rest after the conflict?""Hello, Ambassador Slrrt. It was quite refreshing. I hope the Eldertrees have returned to the Worldtree safely," you say as your Throne heads towards the Voidknights Temple on the moon."They are on their way, yes. Again, thank you for driving off the Wraiths, not to mention your aid in defending us from the UON before that. We hope we can repay the kindness," the orange petals of their "face" curling and flexing gently."Excellent. Do you require anything to make your stay more to your liking?""We have already placed a request with Jor to have an aqueduct or a pipeline to be constructed to bring us fresh water. The Eldertrees have decided to make me the permanent representative of the Armatocere Collective to the Armada if you would have us," they say, eyestalks gazing at your image."It would be my pleasure. Iti'a'Ropku welcomes all who would call themselves friends and allies of the Armada. Already we have members of the Osogo, Stonestar, and Ructu visiting and living here. If you wish I can send one of my Necromancers to give you a guided tour of the city and show how we've made use of our trades. Unfortunately Jor is busy at the moment but one of his compatriots would be more than happy to guide you," you offer"That would be appreciated. Jor spoke highly of the city and from what we saw as we landing it is...impressive," they say impassively.>cont
>>951510You nod, "Very well, I will send one of my favored students Red-Leaf-Strains, a native of this world to guide you. Then later, you shall join me as a guest of honor at a small ceremony I am holding later."You speak briefly with the floral agent as Red-Leaf-Strains departs from the temple to meet the Ambassador before excusing yourself as the large doors of the Voidknight Temple loom before you>Armatocere establishing a permanent embassy outside of Iti'a'RopkuThe doors of the Voidknight Temple swing open soundlessly at your approach and Voidknight Jareth is there to greet you. Bowing low then straightening they walk alongside you, "Welcome back Lord Jadyk," he greets you."Thank you Jareth. How is Gral?" you ask curiously about the new weapon of the Voidknights."Impatient to see battle," he says simply and says no more until you reach Lorgul in the main chamber of the temple, a large circular room with a large ever-burning brazier of potent voidflame seeping from a tightly packed singularity that contorts the light of the room.Revenant Lorgul stands from where he knelt before the brazier and turned to bow to you, "There you, Lord Jadyk. I was beginning to worry," he jests, not knowing how right he was to worry."Fear not, my friend. So tell me, I hear you have another request to make," you ask and link your fingers together, relaxing in your throne.Jareth joins Lorgul at his side and waves a hand, a holoscreen flickering to life from projectors hidden in the glass walls. It showed the B'Nan system where the Ahkam continued their siege of the Osjiic factory world Kanda.Lorgul rubs his hands together and points at the war. Ahkam forces were in the process of overtaking one of the main cities of the planet, fighting street by street against Osjiic soldiers and their slaves. Fleets clashed in the system and fighters spun in deadly duels in the atmosphere, "There is such glorious conflict just next door. We request the chance, send us to crush our foes and we will teach them to fear the might of the Necrotic Armada once more. That world is ripe for plundering, it's riches in metal and biomass just waiting for us to take it!"The Voidknights kneel before you, bowing their heads low and Jareth speaks next, "Unleash the Voidknight Order on our enemies. The Osjiic fuel their Empire with power stolen from the Black Flame's corpse. The Ahkam dare to call themselves gods, misusing their powers. Unleash us and we shall bright our full fury against them."They look up at you then, Voidflames roiling off their forms as they beseech you.The Voidknight Order wishes to go to war against the Osjiic and Ahkam to conquer the B'Nan system. Will you grant them this task?>Yes>No>Other (Write-In)
>>951592>>YesBut ask him to coordinate this invasion with Predator Nekris and the Necrolyte Legion. This is the first major world held by an enemy faction we've attempted to take, so let's make it a real effort. Have the predators harass and pursue the Akham while the Revenants take on the Osijic forces. Have the Necrolytes lead the charge of reconstructed troops on the ground, with orders to seize the orbital defences and any other significant military and industrial facilities for reverse engineering.
>>951622Supporting thisAlso allow the Necrolyte legion to use Reconstructed assistance to decrease their losses. We want to capture and subdue as many voidsingers and arkham as we can, more fuel for the Armada
>>951622>>951632This, also maybe have them help Stonestar and the obsidianborn with their raids after they're done.
>>951592>YesBring nekris though they need someone there to Help deal with Arc wielders
>>951632Necrolytes always have reconstructed assistance
>>951632I hope that part of the industrial complexes on Kanda include one of those installations the Osijic use to farm void infused bone from dissident void singers. That could be a real propaganda coup for us with forces within the Osijic Empire. We could use that as an example of how their Emperor is abusing the powers inherited from the void, and how the New Necrotic Armada offers an alternative to that that's more in line with void's own desires. Nothing will bring an empire to it's knees than an internal schism like that.

Will be resuming shortly, roll call time
>>953324Let's do this thing.
>>953324Here but at work
>>953324HereI wonder how fucked the other nations (besides plant bros) think they are
>>951592Hearing your Generals plead their desire for war you sit there and debate with yourself. While it was true that the Osjiic and Ahkam factions both considered themselves at war with the Armada this would be the first attempt at true warfare against them. Before you were a liberator, freeing the Bastion and Andai systems from their oppression but now, this would be a true declaration of war.The Voidflame that infused your being writhes in excitement, the eternal song of the Void goading you on in half-heard words.Clacking your jaw you finally nod, "So be it. The Necrotic Armada will go to war and you, my knights of ruin and fury, shall lead the charge," you pause as the two Voidknights look up in excitement but you halt them with a raised hand, "Remember though, you shall not fight alone. Upon the return of the Punishers you shall meet with them, the Predators, Valresko and the Voidsinger Commander. We are a unified force and you shall plan your attacks with them."The pair look at each other before Lorgul nods and bows their head once more, "Very well, Lord Jadyk.""I expect great things from you, my Voidknights. The galaxy will learn to fear and respect the powers of the Void and Necrotic once more as they did eons past. From this moment on I doubt you will want for war again in the future," You say firmly and the Revenants stand, thumping their fists against their chests in salute.
>>953538I assume the reaction on enemy bridge to us rocking up is something similar to pic when they fail to surrender
>>953545Departing from the Voidknight Temple leaving them to their preparations you drift through the tunnels towards the sanctuary of the Predators and their serpent prisoners. They hid themselves on the dark side of the moon, away from where their powers might interfere with the Voidknights.Drifting through the tunnels you sift through your thoughts and with a start you realize you have been followed by an unseen presence for some time. The throne spins rapidly around, Kyn'tk snaking out into your grasp in a split moment tense and ready to strike. It took a few seconds before the light unfolds around the form of Predator Nekris who bows low before you."Forgive me, Lord Jadyk," he apologizes and rises, his chromatic flesh rippling with dark colors, "Just testing myself."You clack your jaw in annoyance, Kyn'tk relaxing and growing static in your hand, "I do not appreciate being a test subject Nekris but you are forgiven," The throne spins back around and you resume your trek, Nekris keeping pace alongside, "So tell me, how goes your experiments?"Nekris walked in silence for some time, one of his hands resting casually on the hilt of his bounded sword at his hip before speaking, "The first stages are progressing well. Several living "volunteers" have been successfully integrated with an Arc Condenser allowing them to use Arc weaponry and abilities. The next stage is infusing a living subject with the Arc itself. Our initial findings suggesting it will be more difficult but our Ahkam guests will be of help in that regard.""They are cooperating with your experiments?" you ask curiously, passing a patrol of Shock Trolls recently upgraded with Arc Condensers humming in their chests."They never cooperate but we shall make use of them nonetheless. Until you decide it is time to drain or Reconstruct them they shall be the font of power that our living disciples are fueled by," he grins a wickedly, "Why should I or Eiton sacrifice our own power if we have such powerful sources readily available?"You nod in satisfaction, "Very good, Nekris. Continue your work and keep me informed. So you know you may have to put a short delay on the experiments though," you continue as he looks at you curiously, "In the B'Nan system the Ahkam have been leading a siege against an Osjiic world. You will be aiding the Voidknights and your other siblings in conquering that system for me soon."Nekris grips the bone hilt of his sword in excitement, "We will be ready, Lord Jadyk. They will bleed on our blades and claws then they will know true fear and pain."Turning your rictus grin to your eager General, "I would expect nothing less from you, Predator Nekris.">Predator experiments into creating Arc-infused mortal servants is progressing well
>>953641If the Predators want someplace isolated to perform their experiments safely maybe they should start thinking about finding a planet or planetoid away from other orders to work on. I think we were talking about getting Nekris to build a temple on Rukor for studying the Arc, would that work?
>>953668Possibly but Rukor has a high population of necroticly attuned living subjects meaning a worm star temple and necromancers training facility might be more prudent
>>953641Normally I'd save this for the crunchy part of post-thread, but I doubt I'll be able to stay awake that long, so here it is.Is it possible to infuse crystal into bioships, or alternatively graft nodes of crystal into them, to grant telekinetic abilities to the ship and a synching ability similar to that of Requiems, but applying to all crystal reconstucted [or maybe acting as a way for Jadyk to directly channel the collective telekinetic might of all of his forces if done from a flagship.]
>>953668Sounds goodIf theirs a moon or planet we haven't settled yet we could use that
>>953641You stop briefly by the Predators temple to take a look at their experiments and to briefly taunt the bound serpents. The living soldiers who were surgically grafted to Arc Condensers call out for mercy where they were strapped down but you ignore them, only mentioning to Eiton in passing to make their deaths painless for their aid in progressing Necrotic science. The bound Ahkam spit their typical threats and curse your name but they are more subdued, falling silent with a seizure induced by the domination collars they wore.Satisfied you depart from the moon, a transport Bloat Carrier from the fuel refineries passing by giving you a lift back to Horizon's Drop. As you sat in the simple bridge you call out to the Blackscale. Beqor answers you, his distorted face twisted into a grin at the sight of you on the holoscreen. Bowing his head he wipes the blood from his hands and chin, "Greetings, Lord Jadyk. We have made much progress I believe. The first batch of the Worker clones have been finished and they rest for the moment under the influence of the Dreamstones. We have not yet been struck down by Father's fury nor have we seen any Deepborn or Divers so that is a good sign, yes."You tilt your head in curiosity, "Deepborn? I have not heard of this caste."The blackscale necromancer flinches and nods, obviously reluctant to speak of them, "Yes...the Deepborn are a rare caste of Sunscale. They are...antibodies to the Blackscale corrupting the Sunscale family. For every Blackscale hatched, there is a Deepborn. Most of the Sunscale do not know they even exist, the Deepborn slinking away from their shell siblings upon hatching. The Divers are Father's cruelty personified. The Warbloods are his wrath. The Deepborn..." he trails off for a moment and you are surprised to see him shudder, "They are his vengeance and hatred. Someday the Deepborn will come for me and my cabal but that day is not today. With the Armada, we may be among the first to survive their hatred."You mull this news over silently then nod, "Let me know if there are any other castes you have forgotten. Should these Deepborn come for you, you shall have the protection of the Armada," Beqor bows his head low, distorted features showing relief. You continue, "Was there anything else you needed to speak to me about?"Nodding the lizard's forked tongue flits out for a moment in thought, "If the cloned Sunscale do not follow the ways of the Wormstar and pledge themselves to us," he quickly adds, "to the Armada and you, we believe there might be other ways that we would require your aid.""And you shall have it. Continue your work, Beqor," the lizard bows, ready to cut the communication short but you stop him, "I still expect those Knights your cabal promised me."The necrotically corrupted reptile grins, blackened crooked teeth glinting, "They will be ready for your Armada soon, my lord," he promised before the image is cut.
>>953668>>953679>>953688Jor was actually looking over maps of Rukor for a place to built a sister city to Iti'a'Ropku that we discussed a loooong time ago.The moon of Rukor though is mostly unpopulated, only having a few anti-orbital weapons being constructed though the Predators haven't given much thought to searching for new locations for a temple.Valresko hasn't mentioned it yet but he is planning on creating a solar temple on the scorched world that the Armada Think Tanks use for their research and experiments>>953687From what experiments have been conducted with normal necrotic ships telekinetic crystal can't be used effectively, their range and strength being lesser than the ability of tractor beams. There have been no experiments in attempting with bioships yet.The Obsidianborn though ahve been experimenting extensively with creating larger and larger telekinetic crystals, likely with the goal of integrating them into their own ships but they still have a ways to go.
>>953867Thinking back to the description of Rukor, I remember you describing rocky reefs that would expand into large islands as the tide dropped. I think something like that would actually make a fine spot for Nekris' compound, it meshes with his stealthy approach to warfare, as it would be damned hard to detect if it was partially underwater for most of the time. And I'm still waiting for construction of that city on Rukor to get underway.
>>953867The moon is a perfect base for the predators
>>953867Should we have Valresko help oversee the cloning project as a safe guard of our interests and also to screen the clones for any solar potentials?
>>953898That would be a good ideaLowers the chance of the super secret black ops sunscales from fucking all of our plans up
>>953898I can agree to this, I'm interested to see how effective an administrator Valresko is. We can't make Jor do the entirety of the Armada's paperwork alone, here.
>>953867Begin construction of a city on Rukor? Jor had decided on a proper location off the coast a days travel by ructu ship from their capitol>Yes>NoWhere shall the Predators create a new Temple for their order>Rukors Moon>Hidden on Rukor itselfDo you wish to have the Blackscale delay their project until Valresko is able to oversee it?>Delay until Valresko returns from the B'Nan campaign>Continue then send Valresko>Have Valresko attend immediately
>>953955>>Yes>Rukors Moon>Continue then send Valresko
>>953955>>Yes>>Rukor itselfI still want our generals to make a tradition of establishing temples on the first world they conquered for the Armada.>>Continue then send ValreskoIt's not like we're going to be sending Valresko up against void users for his first taste of battle.
>>953955>yes>hidden on rukor it's self>get his input on this situation >if he thinks that his campaign needs him right now hold off>if not, send him immediately We can use the moon as a decoy and as a really big fortress
>>953955YesMoonAnd continue then send. Don't advise the black scale til he arrives and brush assist any concern as "he is here to locate more solar potentials but will act as my will in case I once again become unavailable for contact"This way if they are up I something we might catch em with their pants down and if they aren't doing anything they won't be insulted that we have someone watching them closely
>>953955After a brief conference with the ructu elders through demi-Think Tank ships began to leave your home system loaded with metals and vats of biomass heading for Rukor. Already your forces on the planet began to divert from their local tasks and descended upon a lonely spire of an island. Once an active volcano it had been long dead before the ructu could even remember, time and the tides wearing it away until it was a lonely isle of black stone and rich jungle.Local wildlife is hunted down and fed into mobile Cauldrons as portions of the jungle are carved down to be split up between catoblepas farms and the ructu natives for their own use. Large construction reconstructed begin digging into the island, laying the groundwork for what was sure to be a grand city.>Construction of a Rukorian Necrotic City underwayAfter your call to the ructu you contact the Predators Nekris and Eiton once more. Apologizing for the intrusion into their work you mention how the sudden reminder to construct an Armada city on Rukor had brought back the idea you had long ago for a proper temple of the Predators. You explain how the Voidknights had their temple on the Moon of Horizon's Drop because of how Lorgul conquered the system by your side. Punisher Agona had her fortress built on Bastion, her own war-temple from her time freeing the moon of Ahkam control.Rukor was the world that Nekris had explored and taken from the Ahkam and drove off the Diver Sunscale. You say the planet is his to choose a location for the Predators temple. Nekris confers briefly with Eiton who makes a remark about needing a temple of his own in Andai before Nekris turns back. He selects the desolate moon of Rukor for their new temple and prison.Satisfied you send the command to the crew heading to Rukor and divert some minutely, the ships heading for the moon that had no more than a handful of anti-orbital weapons and missile silos dotting its surface. Entropic Excavators are lifted to the moon and they quickly begin to burrow into the stone to carve out a new den for the Predators.>Predator Temple being constructed on Rukor's moon. They will still maintain the smaller temple on Horizon's Drops moon but the ahkam prisoners and their research labs will be transferred.>cont

>>954209As dusk began to fall across Horizon's Drop you contact Valresko."Troubles with the Solar already, Lord Jadyk?" he jests and you shake your head with a small laugh.Reassuring him of your current safety you go to explain the experiments of the Blackscale Cabal to clone Sunscale with the intent of creating Wormstar loyal Sunscale. Valresko surprises you saying he knew of the task, the Blackscale having mentioned it to him before their departure to the Urdir system and the frozen world they hid on.The Blackscale Cabal took pride in the creation of Valresko and confided with him like a compatriot rather than creators, knowing his power could challenge the full Cabal if he so wished.Surprised but satisfied at this answer you tell him that he is to assist the campaign in the B'Nan system then to head for Urdir and oversee the cloning project. He salutes and bows, giving his promise to keep the lizards in line and true to their word, guessing the unspoken implication that the Blackscale Cabal needed to be kept a close eye on.>Dominator Valresko will provide his assistance to planning the assault on B'Nan and Kanda before departing to the Urdir system and overseeing the Blackscale cloning project>>954219>other favourite lichOnly mildly offended

So there's the obsidian born should we expect a water equivalent element to be introduced later?
>>954234The Bloat Carrier lands on the outskirts of Iti'a'Ropku and begins unloading its cargo of refined fuel for the vehicles of the city. Your throne drifts out of it and quickly finds one of the many entrances underground and began to head for the prisons underneath the Necrolyte Legions base within the city. Reconstructed troops and workers pause and turn, bowing their heads as you passed then resuming their tasks.Inside the prison were mostly Legionnaires that still had issues with fighting alongside aliens that had been their enemies not long ago. Some were either there for a brief time before returning to duty or were being held until they could be shipped back to Legion's Home where they would be rebroken and trained once more. The others were locals of the city that had fallen into brawls with others, typically over betting or while inebriated irresponsibly. The few you went to see though were off on their own, held in deep cells. Prisoners from the UON's attacks on the Armatocere, each of them with the potential for energy manipulation. They were due to be transferred to the Legion for training and education before being infused with energy from a respective order after they recovered from their induced comas within the Armatocere medical pods. The remains of which were carefully preserved and transferred to the Think Tanks research facilities after ensuring they were not sentient beings.Research Gained:>Medical Pod: MediumThere was one in particular you wished to speak to though and the bars of her cell slide open. A single Yuyut female sat on the ground, picking suspiciously at a bowl of locally caught crustacean and kelp only to put it aside and stand when she noticed your approach. Lifting from your throne it sets down soundlessly on the ground and you hover before her, the bars sliding shut behind you."Sub-Admiral Sur-Quro. It is good to see you once again. I hope our friends the Armatocere treated you well?" you ask with a jovial tone, her look of distaste letting you know she found it insulting. The repto-mammal lifts up onto her stout hind limbs and folds her muscular arms across her chest, spitting at the floor before you. She curses you in her chirping native language and you let out a sigh while she let out a shout of pain, the Domination Spike in her chest sending a bolt of seizing pain through her. She nearly fell, catching herself on one hand and looked up at you silently, anger clearly radiating from her even without the link through the spike.Sub-Admiral Sur-Quro was one of the leaders of the offensive against the Armatocere worlds and only spared by the Armatocere when you sensed the potential for Solar power within her. What shall you question her about?
>>954498Usual stuff(hove you ever heard of jadyk of the wormstar etc.)Also ask bout the UON and why they attacked the innocent plant bro's
>>954209>Nekris confers briefly with Eiton who makes a remark about needing a temple of his own in Andai before Nekris turns back.I freakin love how not even death and reconstruction could rob eiton of that sassy sense of humor so typical of space pirates. Even in death, he brings the bantz.
>>954498Ask her why the UON was attacking our plant bros, and more importantly where they gained the knowledge of necrotic energy required to construct their necrotic weaponry. Less pressing matters include general knowledge of the UON, such as the location of nearby systems they hold, their political system, and relationships with other significant factions.

>>954498Folding your legs under you so you sit floating in the air you motion for her to relax, "Calm yourself, Sub-Admiral. You will not be harmed for now if you cooperate and answer my questions."She snorts in derision but relinquishes, sitting down on the ground before you, "What is you want, undead?""To unite the galaxy under my caring, generous rule. To eliminate the Wraith scourge. To gain vengeance against all who harmed me and my subjects and allies. The list goes on," you say with a dismissive wave then just a claw at her, "What I want from you personally, are answers. You can give them willingly or you can twitch and drool on the floor until your ready. If you are particularly stubborn, well, I have ways of faster, much messier ways of getting that information out of your skull."She sits in silence for several long moments, glaring at you before nodding curtly."Good. So tell me," you lean in closer to her, resting your chin on your palm, "Have you ever heard the name Jadyk? Does the Wormstar mean anything to you?"The yuyut clicked their tongue, "I have never heard of you until you attacked my fleets and slaughtered my soldiers. The Wormstar is an ancient myth from the Necrotic Wars."Nodding you sigh, "Yes, time has not been kind to the memory of myself or my old patron," you ignore how she narrows her eyes disbelieving and continue, "Tell me of the United Outer Nations and why you attacked my friends the Armatocere? They tell me they have attempted friendship with your governments before only to be turned upon like some ravenous plague of beetles chipping away at a tree.""The UON exists to fight against the corrupt Confederation and all it stands for. The UON believes in the sovereignty of individual systems. The Confederation just wants to add more systems to their empire, stealing the resources for their own collective greed. In the UON we yuyut protect those systems that would govern themselves and ask only that they help us defend their neighbors in turn.""And yet you attack the Armatocere," you point out making the yuyut growl softly."The Armatocere have driven colonists off multiple planets and claimed other systems for their own use. They claim they are protecting the "native" lifeforms of those planets they take when there was no intelligent life, only plants they claim are alive and thinking. The Armatocere hoard their technology, claiming to want to help any and all that ask for it but they keep their technology to themselves when our peoples would starve and wither away," she spits once more at the ground.>cont
>>954933"Your leaders are bad diplomats then. I am, as you can see, an undead. Something you would expect them to hate and revile. Instead they are among my closest allies now, freely trading resources and technology with them. My living citizens feast on the bounty of food they have brought us and taught us to grow. They helped us save a primitive race from starvation after the Ahkam serpents tried to enslave them and strip them of their planets bounty," You jut a claw at her, "From what they've told me they have tried to open diplomacy with your leaders only to be attacked unprovoked and I am more inclined to believe my friends than the commander of an attack fleet that was ravaging them with Necrotic weaponry."The yuyut glowers silently at you and you sigh, "Tell me about the UON and their systems. Tell me about your politics and how you treat the other factions. Please," you add after a small pause, amused at her incredulous look.It takes a little more convincing with a few shocks of the spike but she begins to reluctantly tell vague details about the UON. Her claims are further backed up and expanded on by the Think Thanks performing their own interrogations of the other UON prisoners in the other cells. The UON territory is spread out over several sectors to the "south" of the Curou sector you currently resided in. Sur-Quro herself came from a high gravity world, one taken long ago from the Osjiic after the fledgling UON drove them out. Each planet or system in the UON was required to send recruits and a tax to the UON and representatives chosen by the locals to a Parliament. In exchange the UON allowed the systems to rule themselves as long as they kept peace between allied systems and the UON military would come to their aid in the event of disaster or invasion. The UON seemed to have few friends. They were unofficially, officially at constant war with the Confederation. The Osjiic Empire and the Ahkam Dynasties were their biggest threats with numerous smaller factions of pirates and independent systems raiding or fighting against them. To your surprise Yuyut worlds were friendly to the Netu Pirate Clans since it was they that helped them reach the interstellar stage even though the yuyut rebelled against them and stole their ship technology. What shall you do with Sub-Admiral Sur-Quro? She has the potential to become a solar energy manipulator or she could be given to Valresko to attempt Reconstruction into a new Dominator like him.
>>954944>Attempt to reconstruction into a new Dominator.
>>954944Give her to Valresko, but have him Pan-Mei her. If she passes good if not, reconstruction.
>>954944She seems nice so keeping her alive night have to benefits but she is clearly very indoctrinated and would take time, I think Valresko could use some company.. I'm 50/50 on reconstructing her though this soon
>>954944I agree that we should just hand her over the Valresko as is, and let him decide.
>>954944"Tell me, Sur-Quro. Do you know of energy manipulation?" you inquire, tapping a claw against your chin."If you mean like the Osjiic Voidsingers and the Ahkams electric abilities, then yes. Why?" she asks suspiciously."You have the potential to become one that can manipulate Solar flames like the Sunscale and Wraiths can," you state matter-of-factly and she stares at you in disbelief. You shrug, not needing her to believe you for it to be true, "I will be sending you to my General, an undead monstrosity like myself, by the name of Dominator Valresko. He will test your mettle and if he finds you worthy, he may grant you this ability and train you. If not, well, we'll make sure your corpse finds a good use."She stares at you in silent disbelief and you continue, "It is your choice, Sub-Admiral. This choice that all living subjects of my Armada must make. You must choose between serving me in life or in death. It is the simplest of choices really and I leave it up to you. Serve me and I will send you to learn under my General. Or, you will be rendered down to your base parts and you will serve me as a loyal mindless undead. Make your choice."You wait for her to answer and after some time you turn to leave to let her make her choice but as you did she stands up onto her hind legs. Turning back to face her curiously she speaks in a quiet voice, "Fine. I will go," she said simply.Clapping your hands together once in delight you nod, "Wonderful. You would have been the only one of your people not to take the choice of life if you refused. Your former subordinates have already accepted their fate as my newest Legionnaires."You wave nonchalantly as the bars slide open and you drift out to reclaim your throne and depart from the prison, leaving her to mull over her decision before a group of Shock Trolls arrive to escort her to a Coffin that would take her to Valresko.>Sur-Quro has been given to Dominator Valresko to decide her fate
>>955053>hey Valrrsko thanks for helping me not die and all that soooo I got you a pet, but it's not house Broken yet .. Just remember they need good occasionally and air? I think.. What ever man trial and error have fun buddy!
>>955053After departing from the Legionnaire's prison you had broadcast a message across the city, calling the living to join you. It took some time but now you stand at one end of the Colosseum your Reconstructed had been busy building for some time now.The stands held your living subjects, humans standing by netu and osjiic, kesh rubbing shoulders with esat and kosda. Stonestar both orthodox Lavafather citizens and those that lived under city crowded the stands. Vorh stand and cheer with epikor and osogo, the few ructu being careful around the larger races as they looked on with curiosity.Up on the platform with you was Sapling Slrrt along with one of his cacti guards, Raakah the Blackscale shrouded in dark robes that hid her features, Red-Leaf-Strains kneeling carefully on a large padded cushion. Predator Nekris and Revenant Jareth stood to the side, proudly looking down at the arena below. The Voidsinger Commander standing just behind your shoulder looking down at the crowds.Racers stood by their vehicles in the center of the arena, the sounds of angry Tyrre bellowing ringing up from the barred exits along the arena walls nearly drowned out by the shouting of the crowds.Lifting your hands the crowd goes quickly silent and your voice, projected through large skull-like speakers around the Colosseum, bellows out, "I welcome you all to the grand unveiling of this Colosseum!" there is brief cheering before you continue, "I know times have been rough on you all, transitioning to life under my rule is never easy. I have built this center of entertainment and distraction as a gift to you all, to show that I am not deaf or blind to that greatest of enemies. Boredom," there was some laughter through the crowd."I know how insidious boredom can be. I spend thousands of years sealed away in an empty tomb, thinking I would go mad and worse," the crowds became silent as they looked up at you, your visage projected as a massive hologram over the arena, "But that time is passed. Here, in this Colosseum, you may satisfy your hunger for entertainment."You point towards the racers standing by their hovercraft, "You created for yourselves a pass-time, daring pilots creating their vehicles and testing their mettle against each other. I admire your spirit and taste for danger so I grant you this, a chance to further hone your skills against each other. Here, you shall prove which of you is the best pilot and racer, which of you deserves the glory and respect of your peers."The cheers that rise up fill you with a sense of joy, glad you can make your living subjects happy even with this token gesture.>cont
>>955261You motion broadly and continue, "I am sure you can here our Tyrre comrades screaming for their own entertainment and so this Colosseum will also be the battleground where they and any other that so wishes to step into the ring can battle against my Reconstructed or each other. They will fight for glory and honor, fighting for the chance that one day they will fight alongside my army and bring ruin to our enemies. Now, forgive me for continuing on while you all eagerly await the entertainment to start."Lifting a hand you motion to the racers once more, "Racers! Prepare yourselves!" you shout and the collected pilots leap into their vehicles, the constructs of metal and bone rev to life, lifting up several feet above the ground. The hologram changes to a countdown in multiple languages, numbers ticking down rapidly alongside flashing lights. You bring your hand down in a cutting motion as the timers reach zero and the roar of the crowd almost drowns out that of the engines. The hovercraft tear forward and for a moment it looked like they would collide with the walls of the arena before a glowing bridge of hard-light manifests curving up and out of the colosseum. The racers speed along the glowing route as they left the arena, multiple holoscreens flashing to life over the crowds as gargoyles stationed throughout the city watch as the ribbon of light snakes through it. The path solidifies moments before the racers reach the end of it, forcing them to react quickly as they swerve and bank around hard turns.Satisfied you step back, letting the crowd enjoy their entertainment and turn to regard those gathered there. You clack your jaw and spread your hands, "I think they like it," you say with a laugh.>The Colosseum has been officially opened
>>955264And with that I must stop with the story stuff.Time for the unfun discussion of what to do with the Resource Systems
>>955264Holy hell that colosseum scene was beautiful, much more so than I expected. That was a just about perfect way to end your first thread back, dude nicely done.
>>955292other than that though, I hope folks enjoyed the return of the quest. I'm glad to be running againand some racing music courtesy of QD:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRbhLtjOiRc>>955346Glad you enjoyed!
>>955264that was good, really good. It's nice to have you back grave
>>955355Awesome slog of a run Grave. thanks for taking the time to run it againIn regards to the crunch did you have any ideas you where mulling over or is it just an open ball part for suggestions. For instance where you looking to mitigate the crunch by having say, planetary resourse limits in comparison to created infrastructure or did you wanna go more, role play and say, X amount of material producing of each kind per planet unless special rules
As a side note:I can't believe that nobody pointed out that Jadyk officially has a rival/waifu.
>>955775Who is it?Plant bro?Jor?
>>948903Thanks for the thread, Jyoti. I'm glad this is back.
>>955554I was thinking something like questdrones where each planet/moon/asteroid belt each have a stat for both metal and biomass potential and then a development score. For example, Rukor would be high in biomass potential but very low in metals. Horizon's Drop is about even on both with moderate potential each. The amount of resources pulled from the planets would be determined by how developed they are. A higher development score means more more resources gained. I'm thinking around 50% development would be the max a planet can handle without extreme ecological impact on the biosphere. 100% would be full-blown Coruscant level with mega-cities covering most of the planet and killing off the local biosphere (if it had one)Rukor:>80 Biomass>10 Metal>5% developmentHorizon's Drop>60Biomass>60 Metal>30% DevelopmentBastion>30 Biomass>90 Metal>40% DevelopmentKanda>0 Biomass>100 Metal>60% DevelopmentFor troops I had the idea that armies would fill themselves up to the max population a planet can support them. While Reconstructed troops are indeed undead they still need daily biomass intake for upkeep, not to mention the living members like the civilians and Leggionaires. To save myself a headache we won't be creating soldiers by individual blocks but rather setting up armies or swarms with percentages of certain troops.
>>955264Jadyk is clearly a party skeleton. >>956152Eh, the whole concept of measuring a planet's development with a percentage in HQQ is based on the idea that any kind of hive development is by necessity going to displace the planet's natural ecosystem. But since we farm and mine almost entirely underground in self contained bunkers, I don't know if the same idea should apply quite so neatly to this quest. Since HD is at 30% development, does that mean we have only another 70% till we hit the cap of what we can produce there? At that point would the Armada have completely stripped the biosphere of plant and animal life?
>>956212Yeah allowing biomass farms to be self-contained without contamination of the environment was kind of a mistake because of the fact that you guys can just infinitely stack them to produce infinite resources meaning that all enemies and obstacles could just be beaten down under a flood of ReconstructedSpeaking of allowing something too powerful to be made, the Dirges and Requiems having Glutton Spheres just made them waaay too powerful together since it makes them pretty much impervious to both physical and certain energy attacks
>>956212Those bunkers take up space though, space normally used by wildlife. Honestly, I'd say anything capable of functioning on an interstellar level is going to somehow be causing damage to the planet. Especially if we are supporting non-reconstructed life on the planets.
>>955793I hope she is alive. If she loves combat and the worship of the living then she will find a home in the coliseum and the tyrre. Behold the battle mother brash and boldWorshiped by the Tyrre like the berserkers of oldIn chitin and bone her craft behold Behold the battle mother wife of the litch lord
>>956226Okay, but does this mean that we are currently exploiting in some capacity 30% of the entire planet of Horizon's Drop, or does it mean 30% of what we can realistically harvest without dangerously disrupting the ecosystem? How much does it cost to increase the rate of development, how significantly will doing so increase our resource income, and how big an impact will individual projects like AA systems and crystal towers have on a planets development score?
>>956278Ruscuv is little sis tier, and thus not for the lewds.
>>956298Have you ever been married? If we are married then there wou be no lewd. And we need to have our own parallel to the mother and father of the soler and void
>>956288the 30% represents how much infrastructure has covered the planet. Horizon's Drop has multiple fortresses dotting the land surrounding the AA locations, biomass farms, and mines. They've been built up in the background of the game since we focus on the story rather than the details.Beyond 50% that would be like modern earth where resources are strip-mined or mass farms where the run-off devastates the ecosystem. At 50% the planet would start to suffer minor effects from the of industrialization but with the Armatocere tech and help you could probably reach 60% without significant effect on the planets biosphere. It also allows the native Osogo to live without crowding on in them and forcing them to become unwilling members of the Armada.Worlds like Veraga Prime are like 95% developed with 0 biomass and metal scores since they were drained to fuel the creation of the city. Their food is all either imported from off world or grown in special hydroponic gardens and farms within the cities.I'm mostly just winging it, that's why I'm open to help or suggestions.>>956298>>956328Also Jadyk is a skeleton and ill-equipped for lewds. Also lewdness has no appeal to him, he's been dead for so long and his original species (the necroworm) was parthenogenetic
>>956353Pretty sure Jadyk could turn himself into anything he wants at this point. Still the other points do stand. It'll be nice to have another high tier undead that we can talk too.
>>956353>Implying worms can't be lewd Jyoti plz. That is interesting though, were necroworms specially engineered to serve the wormstar or a naturally evolved species? Does Jadyk recall much of that time of his existence?
>>956353..... Can we revive the necroworms? If we can remember just a portion of the formula I'm sure that it's possible
>>956377Those are gastropods and are pure lewd by nature. The worms were naturally evolved as intelligent parasites on their homeworld controlling mindless animals but when their star became binary with the appearance of the Wormstar Jadyk in particular was among the only ones who heeded it's call to servitude
>>956395Quick anon, to the cloning chambers!
>>956395As far as Jadyk knows the necroworms are extinct unless there is still some on his homeworld that survived the Crystal Minds purge or are in hiding somewhere. His phylactery which was the petrified form of his original body was used up in recreating his current form after being sealed away. Recreating a human skeletal form was easiest without sufficient biomass reserves or a Cauldron
>>956420Then I know what we should ask the Masked next time they show up
>>956423Careful with that Monkey's Paw there, anon.
>>956420We can do itThe next time the mask comes a knockin we ask for a necroworm corpse(knowing them it'll be our phylactery) but I think it's worth it
>>956444Masked: ok Jaydk you wiped out the servants we will grant you knowledge power orJaydk: where are the worms..Masked: wha-Jaydk: THE WORMS! WORMS YOU LIMP DICK MOTHER FUCKER!Masked:>sweating intensifies
>>956493Forgot the image I need those wormstar shards Jory, need em reeeal -uuurp- bad, gonna build us an armada Jory, a real fucking planet conquering fleetAaaw jeez Jaydk can't we like, just grow some kelp, it's some nice kelp, you know and we can like f-f-feed it To the Osogo thy seem nice Jaydk
>>956521Why revive a dead species when we can just make a new one. With out cloning tech, the animal samples from the plant bros, we know it can be done, and a fuckton of thinks tanks we can just make necro worms>>956353There would be no lewd, just a king and queen of the dead
>>956226Counter for the biomass farm souls be the necrotic aura they produce kills normals plant life or damage the Eco system not directly but indirectly like animals become morose so reproductive cycles are disrupted this lowering populations or plant life becomes sickly doesn't germinate correctly or perhaps it had adverse effects on the weather. I know we have glutton spheres set up to catch ambient necrotic energy but if ou stack enough farms maybe it crones ok much to really mitigate As for dirges and requiems maybe only requiems can har glutton spheres and they only work on elemental attacks not say, lazer weapons etc
>>956551The necroworms are probably really genetically complex(evolution is a bitch) and were probably missing a important part of their genetic structure That and do you really think the grave would just let us do that without paying something first or taking some risk?
>>956551I picture Jaydk will eventually accidentally the god hood rather then royalty Tens of thousands all praising the worm stars instrument and all that
i don't think I missed it but what happened to the research projects? Shouldn't there be a list of done ones? >>956226But in setting it makes sense for there to be the contained biomass farms. If there was a byproduct that was harmful to the ecosystem them we could contain it and dispose of it safelyYou could add a New limiting commodity, life energy or souls. Some creations need some and we can only get it from sucking it out of creatures That would stop us from spamming the creation of stuff even if we have the biomass and metalYou could explain this change in setting as the masked interfering with us to make things more "interesting"
>>956563Then we would just make all our biomass farms in space stations or on lifeless planets. The reconstructed don't need air and the kelp only needs water and light
>>956583>i don't think I missed it but what happened to the research projects? They'll be back next thread which should be next Saturday. I was just more concerned with getting story stuff out of the way this thread.
>>956573Grave might give it to us relatively easy. But there is a drawback and a big one at thatCreature that can potentially rival us in power that we can't control. Domination spikes do nothing on them because plot, all it would take is one going rouge and we would have our most powerful enemy. The real question is what if there is a life form that is in the opposite end of the spectrumA creature of light and life An angel
>>956563>As for dirges and requiems maybe only requiems can har glutton spheresThat could work actually. The initial idea I had was that having two types of crystal tech in a single unit would make them interfere with each other like their telekinetic and elemental absorption abilities would be weakened as one tech tries to out do the other. There is a current research project going on currently for absorbing the ambient life energy that living things give off without draining them. Still working on the details but it would mean that having a high population of living creatures/plants nearby would be a decent extra source of power for the Armada
>>956601One bent on absolute order and control via domination people are not free to choose they are all forced into a role Same end game opposite approach >in before Jaydk angel shipping"I'm not trying I destroy all undead because I like you or anything, Baka">insert yandere plantbro love triangle
>>956612Mate reduce the glutton spheres on a requiem to just one making it a size issue Dirges can carry a small glutton sphere but cannot hold it and do other actions at the same time like attack or defend Ambient crystal sponge, one of my favourite ideas so far right behind putting the temple into orbit. With that you should have it also have a set prefix per planet like we can crank it up but not without adverse effects I the populous/ native wild life. Due to it's delicate nature it cannot be cranked up to instantly drain a city without further research (dangerous experimental weaponry requiring a roll like the idiom skip/void drive)
Auto correct an typing out on a phone coherent conversation does not make.As for balancing fleets and armies should we design say a base fleet blue print and base troop blue print as a base Mitch like the clutch brood etc but on a later scale so when attacking we say send 2 base fleets and 1 troop fleet and troop fleet is set amount of transport and guard ships with X amount of armies In a troop fleet ect But we have fleets and armies with set functions like say fleet wiseBase fleet (well rounded set of each ship type nothing special or experimental )Troop fleet (specific design to relocate large numbers of troops with set amount of ships set to protect them)Bombardment fleet (specifically planetary bombardment ships)Picket fleet (faster ships use to guard fleets)Then to generalise it further each planet depending on infrastructure will automatically build a certain number of fleets unless specified other wise These are just general ideas so when we go to attack we say Nekris should go in his flag ship with 2 picket fleets a troop fleet and 1 base fleet instead of how we do now which is something like 50 bloat carriers 2 battle ships and a partridge in a pear tree
>Turns out, all the Eldertrees were female (Or at least had female thought processes) and were squee'ing like mad when they met Jadyk and they are the founders of the NNA Fan Club on their own planets / world ships.
>>956710Think I am going to have to draw something about this... Cactus in a miniskirt maybe>the horror
>>957343>>957298Plant peps dot play broBe afraid :p
>>957363Alt text "Your not, infusing solar in anyone else are you Jaydk kun""Pollination required" Annd "you think in pretty don't you anon"Ok ok I'm done>probably not done
Ok, now I am Done>more lies...I'm sort if sorry(kinda not)
>>957363>>957540I am starting to worry that our decision to give our plant bros solar generators may have been...ill advised.
>>957819Why they are our best budsJust a thought, seeing as there ships are living sapient beings, could they use a power like our generals? What if the world tree could use soler?Wouldn't that be the coolest shit
>>958246The real question is if we where to capture and recreate an adult arkham would it be a hero or a bioship or a little bit if both?
>>958338He would be a mother fucking undead space dragon hero. And a big guy
>>958373>And a big guyFor Us!And now that they're caught, they will crash our enemies with no survivors.
>>958338both probably. Similar to how the Fury of the Wormstar and the Charnel Vault have their own intelligence and personalities, a Reconstructed Ahkam Matriarch would likely be a hero bioship with their own mind
I know i said i was done... but, I am a liar like that
>>958545I desire more yandere cactus waifus
>>958545Also fuck you and your glorious drawing ability Mr Smiles. I LOVE YOU
>>958552>your love/hate sustains me for another night>>958551will work on it, cant promise anything right now
Would folks be upset if I just said fuck it and did away with resource systems?not likely to happen cause then whats the point of research and designing ships+troops
>>960797Well without the resource system what would be the limiting factor in ship and troop creation? Like it or not but resources, there quantity, quality, and availability is what wins wars. The ability to create more beens bullits and bandages than the enemy is what wins warsSo without the system we would be missing a key part of the story and game
>>960797Eh, abstract it, or take a cue from HQQ's latest version. Resources are a key part of Civ games anyways.
>>960971Yeah that's what I was trying to do with >>956152I stole every other part of HQQ might as well steal the resource system lol>>960966>So without the system we would be missing a key part of the story and gameYeah that's why I'm not going to scrap it. Was just frustration speaking lol
>>961045Sorry to hear that Jyoti, I know this is a massive pain in the ass. Wish I could help, but unfortunately I'm not great with resource systems
>>960797you could but then you would need to create a whole new system to stop us just going "build all the things, lots of all the things, maximum number of all the things"Resource gathering/farming is what gives meaning to the fleets we built because we worked for those numbers.not saying its not possible it just means you need to create something else to, fill the void and give substance to what we are doing. >>958551sorry quickie, real life is a bitch that will not let me go of late -_-
If folks are still checking out the thread now and then maybe you could start thinking of compositions for fleets.I'll get around to pricing them and add them to the pastebins so we can decide which forces to send into battle.
>>968304Mind linking to it again?
>>968398http://pastebin.com/Na5e7yU7This is the ship builder page and for the most part everything is up to date with proper pricing except for some of the premade ships. I always post up the link that has all the pastebins in the second post of a thread.Still need to figure out a proper size for the sub-capitol Terrordromes since they're kind of a big deal for defensive fleets and planning on adding a Capitol sized version soon.I also added in some modules and other things that were missing like now ships can have a hangar bay that doesn't rely solely on the hull weapon mounts to launch fighters. There's utility hangars that can store shuttles and fighters and fighter hangars that are purely fighters, not to mention the swarm hangars
Would a fleet construction order of 20 battleships be viable? honestly having giant ships like those as our vanguard would be pretty intimidating
>>969738The last thread had just finished construction on an order of 200 battleships. An extra order of 20 would be viable. One thing I meant to include to the changes was a change to how long it takes to construct capitol ships. With current technology:>Small Craft: 1 Day>Sub-Capitols: 3 Days>Capitols: 5 Days
>>969783So uh, we don't have actual carriers? Also is the current fleet size on their?
>>971456Bloat Carriers are used as troop and resource carriers. Unless you meant ships for carrying fighters. For fighters we have the Hangar Battlecruisers which will be updated to have fighter bays installed into themVehicles/Ships:>1 Flagship "Charnel Vault">Fury of the Wormstar>Blackscale Destroyer "Pestilence">7 Void Terrors>The Wick - Confederate Smuggler>100 Chariots>50 Hearses>300 Coffins>600 Support Coffins>2175 Common Nails>1300 Piercing Nails>815 Gunships>300 Corvettes>130 Support Corvettes>201 Frigates>108 Boarding Frigates>361 Light Cruisers>30 Boarding Cruisers>235 Heavy Cruisers>50 Boarding Heavy Cruisers>130 Plasma Weaver Cruisers>100 Bloat Carriers>25 Terrordromes>167 Battlecruisers>80 Hangar Battlecruisers>88 Destroyers>70 Void Destroyers>243 Battleships>20 EyegoresCaptured Ships:>1 Dagger Clanship>1 Osjiic Heavy Cruiser>3 Osjiic Frigate>8 Osjiic Corvettes>1 Ahkam Battleship>1 Ahkam Battlecruiser>2 Osjiic Battleship>2 Osjiic Destroyer>2 Ahkam Corvettes>3 Ahkam Frigates>1 Osjiic Battlecruiser>10 Dagger disguised Frigates>5 Osjiic disguised Frigates>14 Osjiic disguised Fighters>4 ahkam frigates>6 ahkam corvettes>30 ahkam fighters>1 UON Battleship>1 UON BattleCruiser>1 UON Heavy Cruiser>2 UON Light Cruisers>6 UON Frigates>7 UON Corvettes
>>971666I meant Ships carrying Fighters, cause we have Battleships for days but we seem to be lacking in the smaller?craft field. its been so long, I'm honestly kinda glad I can do some Ship designing.
>>971678I'd allow for some of the battleships that just got finished up with the previous thread to be dedicated hangar ships if you wanna write up the stats for it. Being the longest ships in the Armada besides the Flagships they can carry a lot of small craft
>>971678Another thing I've noticed is the Armada has no stealth ships except for the Eyegores.Exchanging a ships preexisting shields for the stealth cloak would be a simple task if someone wants to write up stealth fleets
>>971690I'll see what i can do about some Stealth fleets, Sense they seem best to be much smaller then large. Also, Is the Swarm Hanger/Fighter bay gonna be touched at all or already been touched? It Just seems more worth while to have a Swarm hanger then an actual Fighter bay even though one swarm doesn't? Seem to have the actual weapons of a fighter bay?
>>971692Each swarmer is about the size of a Talon and has an autocannon as its main weapon but can equip any auxiliary sized weapon such as switching to a necro/void flenser or ion guns depending on the needs of the ship. Because of the reduced size individual swarmers do less damage and have a shorter range than what a Fighter sized auxiliary weapon would but they make up for it with their numbers. A fighter or docking bay can carry any of the premade Nail Fighters or Coffin Dropship/Shuttles and would need to be specified. Gonna add this in but Squid Bioships can fit into any slots of a hangar that a Fighter could and the Killcrabs can fit into a shuttle slot
>>971719I'll hold off then until after you add that in and focus on a stealth fleet. I don't believe? We've hit an enemy that uses a large number of Smaller single/dual man craft but that's also likely to change at some point.
>>971722>I don't believe? We've hit an enemy that uses a large number of Smaller single/dual man craftThe Ahkam fleets that have Esat support focus heavily on fighters and gunships since that species placed a great deal of cultural significance on aerial fighting and that extended to when they were exploring and colonizing their home system before the Ahkam "adopted" them. The UON also uses a lot of automated drones and fighters for their conflicts. Their swarm drones were what the Armada reverse-engineered for the Swarmers
>>971722>I'll hold off then until after you add that inAlso the fighter, swarmer, and docking hangars are already in the pastebin under Modules
>>971733Ah, Hmm. Also my point was that the swarm is seemingly the 'superior' choice in terms of a carrier then lets say... a Fighter bay Because of just the numbers. 50 swarm fighters > 6 Nail fighters. Unless I'm just being really fucking stupid at the moment. Also does Ship stealth or the Thermal masking get interrupted if we open a hanger bay or deploy drop pods from the ship that's cloaked while chilling over a world?
>>971751Opening a hangar and deploying ships would not break stealth but launching drop pods would. The only small craft that can have a stealth cloak are gunships and shuttles/coffins since fighters are too small. In the swarmer vs fighter argument Fighters are much faster, able to fight at longer ranges and more independent. Swarmers do not stray from their parent ships very far unless they are sent on suicidal attacks like ramming a target or sent out to intercept incoming missles/attacks.They each have their own strengths and weaknesses depending on the situation. A swarm hangar battlecruiser with a stealth cloak would be able to get up close to an enemy ship or fleet and drop its cloak, unleashing its swarms to do as much damage as it could and depart before the enemy has time to properly retaliate. A fighter hangar battleship would be able to deploy it's fighters allowing them to get into position quickly to intercept attackers and other fighters or to harry enemy ships at range.
>>971785is their a way to by chance broadcast or bounce the signal a swarmer parent ship has off smaller craft? Thus extending the strike range of said ships
>>971794Swarmers and Nail Fighters fill their own roles and I'm not going to replace all the fighters with Swarmers, sorry
>>971815Thats uh, Not what I was getting at. But Alright.
>>971819Then what are you getting at? Not trying to seem annoyed, just confusedif it were a video game, I'd actually make the swarm fighters a skill of the carrier instead of a unit, with normal fighters just being their own units with their own abilities.Think of a Protoss Carrier from Starcraft or the Drones from Stargate: Atlantis where they just fill up every bit of space and fuck everything up, but they don't replace the X-302s or the jumpers in dogfighting
>>971844I was thinking like a Wi-fi Booster to be installed on other ships so said Swarm could go farther or protect other ships until that one dies and then comes back to the ship to protect it. i think I'm explaining it right.
>>971866THat might be possible, a parent ship marking another ship and the swarm moves over to protect it like a temporary buff to defense until they have to return for refueling/rearming
>>971882Along those lines yes, While it would leave said Carry ship without the swarm it could get the swarm into a far more effective position when it comes down to it or as a sponge against missiles or things of that nature.
>>971882>>971891Swarmers are small so they rely on chemical thrusters, the other more efficient engines being too large to mount. They are shit at range or speed but are great at maneuvering meaning they are able to move to react to incoming threats rapidly. It'd be too costly and inefficient to send a swarm with an attacking ship that was not the carrier itself because they would never catch up or keep pace. This would be for blockades and defensive ships that won't be moving far from each other. This would be a good strategy for protecting slower moving high-value ships like the Charnel Vault or Battleships.
>>971844Speaking of stargate, a replicator like enemie (the blocky ones not the people like ones) would make for an interesting race in the gameLike that could be how the crystal guys disappeared, the invented replicateors and got fucked by them
>>9489038 days to reach page 10, wow
>>969592Where can i find a list of current ship builds?Like I can see how to make the ships and the weapons etc but do we have a list of current ship builds/costs etcAlso had an idea for a steal frigate that's all about getting in close, vaporizing part of the hull and pumping the newly opened hull with boarding pods.
>>975801In the pastebins under Ship Builder. Premade ships are listed down near the bottom of the page
>>975822cool, i will look through the builds and see if i can come up with some basic fleet builds with x amount of ships to make, well number crunch for fleets easier at leastAlso I noticed something on the Ask forum, you did not include the Flameborn in the rock paper scissors thing going on with arc/void/solar/necrotic is that intentional or just forgot?
>>975842The Pyroclasym abilities of the Punishers?I've been meaning to address that but their abilities are basically a mix of pryokinesis and geokinesis being that they can control minerals and produce intense heat with it as a medium. They're basically not!LavabendersThey're not really a type of elemental energy like necrotic, solar, void, arc, etc
>>975860Dont elementalists from that series dance to use their powers?>totally not going to imagine fiery undead using interpretive dancing to explode all the thingsJaydk: Angona, why are you dancingAngona: You just don't understand me DAD!
>>975884it was more like martial arts routines but yes lolThe punishers and Obsidianborn use it more practically and simplistic
