Shinobi Quest #38This quest takes place within the lands of the Five Great Shinobi Nations (aka Narutoverse) starting roughly around the beginning of the original series. The world of this quest remains similar to the original, with slight but notable differences in certain areas, based upon the passage of time from a single slightly altered event. (It’s a goddamn Naruto Quest, you bastards. Have fun, participate, and write in when you feel inclined. Most of the outcomes of this quest will be determined by you, the players. Critiques and questions are always welcome, as my knowledge of the weeby shit is not all encompassing.)http://pastebin.com/WiPdCqLHPrevious Threads: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Shinobi%20QuestLast thread, Tsuki spoke to a shapeshifting chakra deity, inciting controversy. She also spilled the beans regarding her powers and their origins to her teammates, Nori Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuuga, resulting in a touching moment between the three. A finalized choice about Tsuki’s training was also made- to spend the next month training with Itachi-sensei. But first, she decided that a visit home was in order….
Evening, /qst/. While many of you are likely familiar with Shinobi Quest, some of you may not be- in which case, welcome! I highly recommend checking out the previous threads on the archive for clarity, but lurkers are always welcome. We’ll also be debuting a new OP image after today’s thread, courtesy of our lovely drawfag. I figured we should stick to the original, at least for this first post on the new board. Opinions on it aside, let’s having a good training thread- and try not to break any more hearts, you bastards.
How the fuck am I first here
>>567971Hype! Welcome to /Qst/ Wargle, don't step in the goop puddles and you'll be fine here.Time for training with... ! (Who again?)
>>567971Glad to see you Wargle
Aw yiss more shinobis
Sup wargleHope mini didn't get scared off by the mods banning quest
Finally caught up with the archives and on my first thread! Please take care of me, Wargle~
>>567982Can't break mod hearts when they dont have one.
Hey Wargle. Glad to see ya running.
>>567982Might want to edit that.I thought her nose was her mouth and her mouth was her chin.Cartman!Tsuki came to mind for a moment.
>>567982I like the new OP image. Where is based drawfag? I want to thank him personally for all of the awesome and hard work he's done making so much art for this quest. And does he have an alias, if i ever need to find him?
>>568002yeah, the mouth is kinda massiveLookin like Frog Sage Tsuki
>>567995He said he's going to run soon so no worries, Personally I'm more worried about Mr.Wong
Welcome to qst wargle, now on to training arguments and power sperging!
>>567971Wargle, you are a fucking faggot bitch shill sellout fucking faggot for posting on /qst/.But I'll play, because I can't live without you.
>>568013Phasing no Jutsu is best jutsu.
>>568019no, druid jesus no jutsu is best jutsu
>>568019>>568025doesn't sound like "Phoenix-Summon no Justu" to me anons
>>568039No, don't start the summon debate now. This is too early.

>>568019>>568025It's funny because Chuckles is dead.

Woo! Live Thread! Just caught up in the archive the other day and loving it so far. It got me thinking and now I gotta sperg out for a bit to get it off my mind.I am going to attempt to make a difficult sell: Tsukihime should pick up genjutsu. Let me "TL:DR" my points before too many people shun me for daring to speak such heresy.-Genjutsu and Tsuki are a good fit: Genjutsu is almost exclusively intelligence based. The smarter the user, the greater the illusion.-Good for dealing with "teh plebs": Bruisers and meatheads without proper training or aptitude can be rendered very helpless or even turned on each other without having to get our hands dirty or even break a sweat.-Room to grow: In addition to the limited but still useful established canon uses, Non-Sharingan genjutsu is some of the least explored territory in all of Naruto and is therefore ripe for extra-canon shenanigans with developing it and coming up with new, cool, maybe even ingenious uses of the technique. I have one in mind I am going to try to pitch here in fact. (Nevermind that, in canon, ordinary genjutsu is SUPPOSED to be useful enough to keep it a mainstay as the third part of the shinobi jutsu trifecta alongside ninjutsu and taijutsu.)Stay tuned for my pitch, or don't, it's coming regardless.
[obligatory post whining about too many or not enough puppets]
>>568061No, just because in Boruto Quest we already have a MC focusing on it.
>>568052You mean Crusty, not Chuckles.>>568061Fuck off with the powersperging.
>>567982I'd want to stick with the original picture. The mouth looks really weird.I'm sorry drawfag, but you need to work on your mouths.
>>568052Chuckles? I was referencing Crusty's Homeless Mutant Quest, god the power sperg arguments at the end of each thread were fun.
>>568039NOYOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'VE DONECUE RABBIT FAGS AND FOUR BEAST FAGS SHOVING THERE SHIT EVERYWHERE
>>568061We can realistically master two schools anon, we can either drop Ninjutsu or Swords and I doubt anyone wants to do either
Guys why dont we just do what Jiraya did and let the summoning jutsu force us wherever? Im sure Wargle already know what summons are best.
>>568025>>568035The Hobo is dead.>>568052Swing and a miss, thanks for playing.
The pitch:I suspect the main reason so many are down on the illusion stuff is that: 1, mundane genjutsu is both rare and underwhelming in the series; 2, it is limited in its usefulness by strict and avoidable conditions that must be met for it to work; and 3, can be easily and somewhat arbitrarily broken rendering it extremely unreliable. So let's work with that knowledge. The biggest issue here, to me, seems to be the third one, the weakness that if someone realizes they are in a genjutsu, they can simply opt to leave it if they know how. So, if you want to get around that weakness you have a couple logical choices: either make genjutsu that the subject doesn't realize they are in, or make genjutsu that the subject doesn't want to leave. Good to know, probably worth bearing in mind for crafting illusions, but what about making a genjutsu the enemy doesn't want to leave?Who says you only use genjutsu on enemies? If the greatest weakness of genjutsu is that people can "opt out" of it, then using it on enemies seems silly. Why not use it beneficially on one's self or allies? There has got to be some ways of doing that. Genjutsu buffs! Genjutsu painkillers! Genjutsu augmented reality! Genjutsu messages! Genjutsu massages?Enough segue, let me get to the point.Fact: Genjutsu is the art of using chakra to alter the sensory experiences of an individual.Fact: Genjutsu is not constrained by normal time perception. (I realize this one is only demonstrated with Tsukkomi but it shouldn't entirely be out of the realm of possibility for other genjutsu in some capacity.)To be blunt: I am thinking of a genjutsu for use on self or allies capable of dilating time perception and filtering experiences (damping pain, etc.) for use in combat -- a combat trance genjutsu if you will. Self would probably be easiest, essentially a genjutsu with a range of zero. And flavor wise the fit is great, I think. It could be a way for Tsuki to take the brutal chaos of combat and make it elegant -- every move selected with care and consideration for maximum effect, like a game of shogi, and yet taking place in the briefest of moments. To my mind, such a genjutsu would be demanding and require a great deal of training to sustain for long, not to mention she would have to condition herself to go into and out of it with a minimum of effort and thought. But consider the payoff! It also would synergize well with afterglow as she becomes stronger and faster and harder to keep up with.
>>568066eh it's too late for puppets, I was all for them at first but I think just a bit of supplementary gadgetry is enough with Tsuki's stellar release.
>>568094No see >>568071

>>568094>>568061Dude wait until the thread ends to powersperg
>>568061I like the idea of genjutsu, but the problem I see with it is like this: the real high level enemies that are actually a major challenge will tend to be good enough to not be affected by it.On the other hand, we are indeed pretty well suited for it and our sensei is perhaps the best genjutsu guy around (even if it is sharingan bullshit). Maybe if we had something pretty subtle that doesn't count as an insta-win if it succeeds, but is hard to notice/dispel and useful for cunning plans?
After all of Nori’s prodding about climbing trees, you certainly didn’t think you’d be up one again so soon, but here you are, scoping out your family home just before midnight. The grounds of the Norihime manor are normally quite peaceful at night, with little need for security. With the added guard details Maru added at your request, however, your home looks more like a fortress- with floodlights and timed patrols making their rounds. The Norihime never do anything halfway.Of course, your flight from home earlier in the day likely hasn’t helped matters. You’d decided that talking to Danzo before embarking on your training was the best course of actions- but now you aren’t entirely sure. Obviously, as the heiress, all of these guards will recognize you- entering will not be an issue. However, you haven’t decided if that is a good thing or not- if they catch you, Maru will know in short order; and when Maru is told, so will Father.Quite the conundrum, really. Should you…1. Sneak into your own home? You can surely get inside without to much hassle, right? Easy in and out, talk to Danzo, pack your things. No stress.2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.
>>568111We're missing rabbit fags.
>>568099Actually, a small puppet might still be doable.Parts of why Kaguya acts terribly is because of her overwhelming power which has corrupted her to quite a big extend. If we had her manifest here in a purely physical form without much powers, she might learn to enjoy and see the world from how we view it which might be able to prevent her from going full End the World.Of course, there'll be safeguards like we needing to be close to the puppet for it to function, etc.
>>568131>2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.
>>568131>2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.>>568137>Rabbits and Puppetfags joining together
>>568131>1. Sneak into your own home? You can surely get inside without to much hassle, right? Easy in and out, talk to Danzo, pack your things. No stress.I don't even want to talk to Danzo, but definitely not the whole staff. Let Tsuki be mad for a month anons
>>568131>2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.Tsuki is a brave girl.
>>568131>1. Sneak into your own home? You can surely get inside without to much hassle, right? Easy in and out, talk to Danzo, pack your things. No stress.
Time to talk do Danzo. We really should have just left a note or something.>>5681311. Sneak into your own home? You can surely get inside without to much hassle, right? Easy in and out, talk to Danzo, pack your things. No stress.

>>568131>2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.Everyone was fucking miserable after we stormed off and these people are basically family, so...
>>568163Agreed anon, as much as I wanted it to happen its far too late now
>>568131>2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.Time to stop acting like a little girl and start acting like an emotionally dead child soldier little girl.
>>568131>2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.We were raised right, we know to confront these things
>>568175Puppets are kind of useless anyways
>>568128Unless Papa Danzo lends Tsuki a couple of his Special Eyes, genjutsu's gonna be a dead end.>>5681312. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.
>>568171Tsuki is a 12 year old girl who just got told she was a science experiment that was the cause of her mom's death. I think some time apart from the family is understandable
>>568131>2. Present yourself. Make everyone’s lives easier- except maybe your own.Norihime don't back down from challenges
>>568193No reason to make everyone worry, no point in doing that to all the servants.
>>568193Doesn't matter quests aren't about actual roleplaying, they're about trying to do what's best in every situation.
>>568184They are if you get good with them and Danzo could have gotten us a good teacher through his connections. Its over and done with though, I have other choices we made to be salty about>>568206Ya but they're going to tell Dad and I don't want to talk to him at all
>>568163>>568165I don't care for the puppets path of upgrades.I'm just saying that a small puppet that Kaguya might be able to power and experience life on earth might be a good step on getting to learn to live and let live.I wasn't thinking a huge actual war puppet but something like a toy. Like Haro or Tori size.
>>568226S T O P
>>568226That sounds too complicated and stupid.
>>568193The entire end of the prior thread was her talking things out with her team. She's hurt, yeah, but not an emotional wreck.
>>568131>2We ain't no bitch, and why make things hard. Plus Hinata pep talk helped
>>568094>>568061Alright, sorry to everyone for taking that shameful dump on the thread but I am literally gone after this. Felt like I had to get it in to a live thread while it still might matter and before life steals me from internet access for the foreseeable future.Have fun everyone. I go now to commit sudoku for violating the rules.
>>568226Might have promise
>>568131>>2Don't let dad suffer
>>568244I thought you brought up some good points and I would like to see them get implementednow for what is expected of meYeah that's right, get out of here
>>568244Lol anon your fine. I never said thoerycrafting was banned, or anything.I just prefer major shitposting arguements be done in post thread as not to waste valuable bump limit-We're on /qst/ now though, so it really doesn't matter as much. No harm no foul. Also, looks like we're turning ourselves in. Dastardly.Writing.
>>568209And that pisses me off more then anything, if your character can't fail what is the point? Compelling characters have arcs, they make mistakes, they learn from them or sometimes don't, they fail and lose. In my opinion the qm should slam choices where the players try to handle every situation perfectly at the expense of the character>>568239Ya they helped us feel better about ourselves but were still mad at Danzo and Dad and they need to know how much this hurts us>>568252Why not? His choices let to our mom being dead let him suffer a bit
>>568262We don't need to make Maru and the other servants suffer. Also just because we are talking things out mean everything is fine. Just stop trying to force yourself on the others.
>>568244You knew it was going to be a hard sell and you tried anyways, so, respect, I guess. That said, fuck off.>>568262see >>568258 we deal with our problems, not winge over them like a cunt
>>568262>at the expense of my opinion of the characterFTFYAlso characters can be angry without being a passive aggressive cunt
>>568244On one hand, i don't mind powersperging too much, but on the other you knew you were only going to get screamed at and posted anyway, knowing that you would have to apologize to the anons who you knew wouldn't like what you had to sell.Anon never pitch to a crowd if you know they don't want the product.
hope we get some kind of kinjutsu training in, Tsuki with Raiga's swords would be dope.
>>568272I'm not forcing myself on others, I'm explaining my thought processes and giving an argument about why I think we should pick this choice. And I'm not saying we want to hurt our servants, just that we want to avoid a conversation with our father>>568289What are some of Tsuki's flaw anon? >>568297Won't be till after the exams since we get them if we prove ourselves in the exams
>>568304shit, you're right, totally forgot.
>>568297Yeah we defintaly need to pull something like beating lee with the swords to prove were worthy for the kiba
>>568304>What are some of Tsuki's flaw anon? There are some that might be more obvious in later threads.I can't say them, though. Promised Wargle I wouldn't.
>>568309No harm no foul anon, we'll most likely get some downtime to practice them after the exams
>>568186You don't need special eyes.
>>568304I'd say Tsuki's flaws are her need to live up to her mother's memory, her arrogance, her need to prove that, daddy's bribery aside, she can be a great ninja for her village, and her feeling that she knows what's best for peopleJust what I've gathered, though, might all be total bullshit
>>568304She is quick too anger but quick too calm down, minor sociopathic tendencies and pride, God damn that pride
If we're powersperging, we can get our hands back on that flower and figure out how to pull a Zetsu and get chakra stealing, corpse eating, and possibly presence hiding powers. We're gonna need to get rid of bodies, and Tsuki is thirsty for chakra, might as well kill two birds with one stone.
>>568304>What are some of Tsuki's flaw anon? I think her biggest flaw right now is her arrogance. Remember the forest of death? >Shikamaru suggests an ok plan to get past Gaara>"lolno that's stupid, here have my modification which I thought about for five minutes">plan Tsuki fails miserably>no contingency whatsoever>get through alive anyway with basically plot armourTsuki could easily have gotten everyone killed back then.
>>568360I'm not sure I want anything to do with that flower until our research reveals anything. Also it feeds on blood, not eat bodies.
>>568360Tsuki is a thirsty girl, her tsuki is especially so
>>568360I'd rather we not fuck with that thing>>568367>high rolls are plot-armorc'mon man, I don't know about that
>>568304>What are some of Tsuki's flaw anon? She's controlled by anons.
>>568344>>568345>>568367Alright so we have>Pride>Passionate>ArroganceSo Tsuki would never be someone who would apologize first for someone's mistake and could be a prick about it? By the way I'm not trying to be a cunt here I'm just saying we need to play Tsuki to her flaws along with her strengths if we want to be true to the character. And if that means putting us in a bad situation then so be it>>568379Nothing you can do about that, thats just luck more then anything
>>568388Here's a huge one: >>568384
>>568360I'd be for stealing Chakra, especially if we can do it while in stellar. >>568388She might be someone who apologizes first if she sees it as fitting of her station. The nobles burden, I must apologize because if I do not this peasant surely won't.
>>568367>>568379tsuki's gotten her shit kicked in before for her arrogance, remember our first mission I think it was, where a bandit ko'ed her with one punch and she was out for the rest of the fight?
>>568388Tsuki is also smart and cares about others.>>568404That was a stun and the fight was over because the rest of our team wiped the floor with the non ninjas.
>>568404He didn't knock her out.Sucker punched her and she recovered in two seconds.
>>568388I kinda view this as confronting her issues, too prideful too do nothing. When we confront dad we ain't gonna say sorry for Shit. Just ask some questions and maybe an apology for worrying everyone but not our actions.
>>568404Not even a punch, it was a straight up bitch slap.
>>568404Yea but that plan worked, every got their targets
>>568413Just because someone is smart doesn't mean their emotions can't get the better of them and cloud their judgement, just look at Odysseus>>568403But would her pride let her do that? Admit that she was in the wrong when she clearly wasn't?
>>568450We aren't saying we are wrong. We are just saying how did it was poor and thought out, and we would have done it anyways. Roughly.
>>568434We had some of the top leaf jonin against some mooks who weren't even ninjas. Of course we won. Tsuki shouldn't have been even scratched though. She thought they were beneath her notice (was kinda right too) and because of that she let her guard down. Ok, we just rolled badly. But in story terms, she screwed up because she wasn't taking them seriously as a threat.
>>568465That is correct. But some anons like to think we got KO'd for some reason.
>>568450Well, it's one thing to admit your mistakes to the people who practically raised you and quite another to do so to a complete stranger or a clueless barbarian like Nori
>>568465That she did. And it was a lesson shes learnt from. Save Gaara but then again, dealing with a Tailed host is always abit of a toss up.
>>568477And finding out a dark secret about you that was hidden is a betrayal. Finding out we were engineered to have this power is a big thing to deal with. It brings up the question were we just made to be a weapon for the leaf? Did we really have any choice on the path we were going to take?
>>568492We aren't going rogue yet anon.
>>568492I mean, we only know that Danzo and Not-Dead Dad knew, the rest of the staff probably have no clue, they maybe just saw their beloved "princess" storm out with tears in her eyes and feel shitty about it.
No- it’s best to be mature about this. Sneaking away leaving everyone in the dark is irresponsible, and while father might deserve that, Maru and the others certainly don’t.You only hope they appreciate this sacrifice. You hop down from the tree, and make for the front door, keeping a casual pace. It isn’t long before the guards spot you- although they seem rather unsure as to how to approach you.“Ah- Mistress Tsuki! You’ve returned- Ms. Maru and your Father have been quite worried, and-”“Yes, I understand. Go on, tell Maru I’ve returned. Surely there’s no need for alarm; I haven’t even been gone a day.” you state calmly, trying to override the guard before he gets overzealous. You don’t want him making a scene- this is going to be tedious enough as it is.The guard salutes somewhat awkwardly, before running off to report your return. “Good thing he’s loyal, even when selling me out.” you chuckle inwardly.--------------------------------------You wait for Maru in the garden, taking a seat beside the large fountain at the center. The water sparkles, reflecting the bright moonlight from above. It’s relaxing, and a good place to meet your tempestuous head maid. “Tsuki-dono!” Maru’s voice calls out, drawing your attention to the entrance of the manor. As she approaches you, her features become clearer- still in uniform, Maru looks very tired. Mentally, you chastise yourself- Maru is always up before dawn, and surely hasn’t slept. The woman has likely run herself ragged. When she sits next to you, however, there is no anger in her voice; only relief.“Tsuki-dono. I’m not privy to what happened between you and Danzo- but please, don’t be too hard on either him or your Father. They only want what’s best for you; we all do.” Your anger, which had subsided earlier, can be felt bubbling back to the surface- if only slightly. She doesn’t know- and even if she did, what does it matter? She couldn’t understand.“Maru.” you say, putting on a smile that borders on saccharine.“I appreciate the concern all of you have shown for me. I revealed myself to ease that concern- as not to place an undue burden upon you. However- as you said, you don’t know what happened; so I ask you do not instruct me how I should proceed.”She seems a bit taken aback by how cold the remark is- and maybe it was a bit much. But you aren’t going to be scolded like a spoiled child. Especially not over this.
>>568507And the staff will tell our father that were back and we have to talk to him then
>>568510coloured text feels weird.
>>568524Were in a brave new world now anon
>>568524Tsuki speaking in colored text will have purpose vs. her not speaking in text. Generally. If it annoys people, I might not use it, though.
>>568528No need to not take advantage of the benefits of this board.
>>568510Holy shit, Tsuki is ice cold! Also love the text flare you added.
>>568528I'm fine with it.I've actually never seen a QM use colored text on /qst/ before
>>568492To be honest, I think the following questions are more pertinent to Tsuki right now:>Did my dad know the procedure was risky?>Did he consider it an acceptable risk?>If so, what did he have to gain? Is he just using me for himself, or is his aim to bring more power to the Norihime family (i.e. me)?>If our dad considered my mother acceptable collateral damage, what kind of man does that make him?>What does that make me?>Danzo knew about my power and kept it back. Meanwhile he's been treating me like some sort of protege ever since I was young. The Uchiha head (Sasuke's dad?) called me Danzo's pawn. Am I a pawn?>What about Orochimaru? What does he want with me, and will he be targetting me? Is he going to come back to collect his experiment?
>>568528It's fine.Just new.We'll get used to it.
>>568510It really REALLY bothers me how mad Tsuki is about all this.I don't wanna call it forced but i feel like we have been on the rails for this entire section.I have faith in Wargle that he knows what hes doing but god i can't be the only one who feels this way.
>>568528Might as well try it.It just feels weird seeing a colour other than red, black or green.
>>568528It's cool, I just had to change my theme. Blue on blue was hard to read.
>>568540I'm mad right with Suki, if it was me I'd be a hell of a lot more pissed off than she is.
>>568540Then maybe you should vote for something else.
>>568528I could care less broGet as creative as you wanna
Apologize for that shit. This is Maru, not Father or Danzo. She is basically the closest thing to a mother we have.Danzo and father can get the cold shoulder, Maru does not deserve
>>568540You are. The gravity of what she found out is enormous. You'd have to be fucking devoid of emotion to not be angry about it. Stop sperging
>>568528I'm cool with it, I'll just have to adapt now colored text. Take advantage of the fact that for better or worse, you're a /Qst/er now. Nazi mod however is still getting the full wrath of my Zimbabwe'an turtle curse
>>568540It's been a matter of hours since she discovered that her dad and closest confidant were complicit in working with a traitor to her village who used a procedure that created her and killed her mother, all in the name of the village and prestige.Talk with her team aside, she has every right to be angry with them.
Apologize for that shit. Maru is basically our mother. Doesnt matter if its now or later, we gotta make that right.Danzo and Father deserve the cold shoulder, Maru just loved us unconditionally.
>>568568you'll have my chinese curses to go with it.
>>568560No, Tsuki is mad and is lashing out she will apologize when she cools off but not right now when she feels Maru is going to give her a lecture, besides we don't know how deep this goes. Maru could be aware of the whole thing we don't know
>>568560She may not deserve it entirely but she is overstepping her bounds. She's automatically assumed it's a minor thing and that Tsuki is acting childish.
>>568579Yeah I know fucking captcha, plus im a longtime lurker, firstime poster
>>568560This.She gets it, but maru has nothing to do with it, she has no clue at all.Just apologize for snapping at her, and tell her that this is a sensitive subject at the moment, something that should stay between us, father and danzo.
>>568560>>568574Huh, this ID thing might not be so bad.Unfortunately, I disagree. You're right, Maru does not deserve this, but under these circumstances and how I feel Tsuki is as a character this seems pretty appropriate.I also personally enjoy that ice cold buisnesswoman mode is how Tskui lashes out. It seems to fit very well.
>>568610Gotta agree with this guy.
>>568610Backing this sentiment.
>>568610Frankly, the ID thing is the worst.I've found myself glaring at certain IDs in other quests during arguements and that defeats the whole damn purpose of the anonymity, attack and debate the ideas not the person. You see now that this was a mistake. If it was someone trying to purposely vote more than once, its a certain bet, he/she would have reset their router and gotten a new ID.
>>568622Also this isn't even a vote yet. Wargle is writing more. I was just agreeing about the other non ID stuff.
>>568610Yeah I know captcha fucked me over. Tried posting once and it fucked up, so I posted twice and the thing pushed both through.Im all good with waiting to give an apology, she just doesnt deserve fucking serial businesswoman Tsuki
>>568610I'm down with ice cold Tsuki. I like seeing protagonists get pushed outside their comfort zone and react because of it.
“Your Father has locked himself in his study, and Danzo hasn’t been seen since this morning, Tsuki-dono!” There’s the anger you expected. Maru cares, and that’s the source of it- even if she doesn’t know her anger is misguided.“You could’ve let us know- even a word of explanation would’ve sufficed!” she exclaims.“I’m here now. Am I not free to free to do as I wish? This is certainly not the longest I’ve been absent from the manor.” You respond, calmly.Your lack of emotion only seems to infuriate your made further- before she breaks down in tears.“Tsuki-dono, I…” she mumbles, before embracing you in a hug.“We were worried. It was so unlike you to just leave- and Danzo was so concerned that you might leave the village, that I….”You sigh, and return the hug. Maru doesn’t deserve this- your anger is better reserved for Father and Danzo.“I’m sorry, Maru. I cannot tell you about it right now, but there were reasons why I left- and I’ll be leaving again for a while, to train for the next round of exams. It wouldn’t have felt right not to tell you.” you murmur, hugging your head maid tightly.“I understand, Tsuki-dono. Just know that I’ll always be here for you- never feel like you cannot come to me if you feel distressed.”You smile faintly in her embrace. No, she deserves only the best. Not this cold anger. For a few moments, you simply continue to embrace, without a word spoken.
>>568626Oh i know. Was just addressing the ID thing and raising an example.
>>568622If you get a significant spike in vote ID's you know it's bullshit now.I understand the issues with a loss of anonymity, however it should cut down on some shit posting.
>>568652No it won't.
>>568652People can just use their phone to shitpost or something.
>>568655Pretty much this
>>568643That seems like a pretty fair anti-ID argument to me. I'm coming into it with an open mind because i haven't been on QST much before quests were exiled here, but I also don't have any real firsthand experience with it either. I do admit that i've paid more attention to IDs than I have to most trips in the past.I guess we'll just see how it goes and hope for the best. Now, for more family drama! Maby even some training!
>>568652Or maybe they'll just learn to take pride in their goddamn work.
>>568655But im on my phone anon...

Happy Thread #38 NiggasEveryone enjoying their new homeI think its dandyAnyway heres a best girl for everyoneLets have a great time ok
“Alright, I need to speak with Danzo before I pack my things. I know you’ll need to tell Father I’m here- but I’d really rather not talk to him right now, if it can be avoided…” you explain, breaking the hug.Maru nods, before biting her finger in thought.“It might be hard to predict how Master Yoru will react. It’s been some time since he’s locked himself away….” Maybe you’ll get lucky and the old man will stay locked up in his hole for a while- before he tries to brush it all under the rug. If you’re lucky.Maru bows before heading inside, and you quickly follow suit. As she heads upstairs, you make for the cellar, where Danzo’s room is.Even if he think’s he’s hiding, you have a pretty good idea where he is. His room is empty, but once you open the panel to the elevator, you can see it’s been engaged. He’s getting predictable in his old age.Pulling out the key you swiped from his desk earlier, you proceed to engage the ignition for the elevator to the ROOT facility. As the machine groans and grinds down the shaft, you have another moment to yourself- just to think. You committed to speaking with him, but haven’t really decided what you want to say….1. Apologize. You shouldn’t have stormed out- and he’s not nearly as at fault as Father is.2. Strictly business. Let him know that you're leaving for training, and when you will return. If you feel up to it, the two of you can discuss matters when you return.3. Clear the air. You won’t apologize, but you don’t want Danzo dwelling on a matter he played so little a part in. 4. Leverage the guilt. He and Father are both to blame, and thus, if he wishes to redeem himself, he’ll need to make it up to you- first, he can tell you all he knows.
>>568709Enjoying would be stretching it. Its just not worth it for the qms to actively fight the mods and get banned.

>>5687214. Dad may be a genius of technology, but not of ninja genetics. This was more on danzo than dad.
>>568759What this anon said. We need to get the truth here. It's time to cut the umbilical cord.
>>568768We had that pep talk from hinata though. Option 3 already doesnt immediately forgive danzo and dad. Just extends the olive branch abit.

>>568833Sudoku for ants.
>>568833Look, anon. I feel bad for Danzo at some level, but this is something that needs to cause anger. And getting over it in less then a fucking day would be so fucking weird.
>>568833I'm sort of hoping that it'll make him think again before doing some shady shit because "only I know whats best for the village". Make him reexamine whether or not he's doing the right thing.
>>568853Agreed. This is far more in character than apologizing, especially given the fact that Tsuki is a fairly prideful person. Even if she wasn't, it hasn't even been a day, and she just learned some prettybad things about her dad, and that Danzo at least knew about it and didn't tell her. I'd be confused if she weren't still pissed. He's been better to her than her dad has, but he's still involved.
>>568888On reading back the previous thread, according to him, Danzo provided council when Tsuki's mom asked him.>“Your parents… Yoru and Asa…. Both of them knew Orochimaru. Your father is always susceptible to innovation- and when they were pitched the idea, when he told them just how much power it could bring your family….”>“Yoru jumped on it. Of course, he wouldn’t force Asa into anything- while she had reservations, she saw how it could benefit the family, benefit Konoha- and benefit you, her unborn daughter. You would be unique among this world of warring Shinobi- you would have a power nobody else in history could ever boast of.”>“When one of the most prolific Shinobi in your village’s history offers to make your daughter the next Hashirama Senju, do you decline? Do you dare withhold that potential from the world?”>“That was Yoru’s stance. Asa saw the reason in it- and asked my council. I…. agreed, that it would be a risk worth undertaking, to preserve Konoha’s future. The entire procedure might have just been on pedosnek's head but of course, this is just only on danzo's word.
>>568833Honestly, I still don't 100% trust Danzo. He's capable of some really shady shit, and is very good at justifying it to himself.
My question is why is everyone placing the blame on our loved ones when the one that is deserving of our hate is Orochimaru Father and Danzo made a mistake but getting this mad when we don't know the full story is crazyWe are letting assumptions make asses out of all of us
>>568905>The next SenjuHe meant in power and ability right? Not that they put Senju in Tsuki right?
>>568921Power and ability, yes.Not sure if they put Senju in Tsuki. I highly doubt it, though.
>>568921Probably. Not forgetting influence.
>>568921He meant in powerThey wanted Tsuki to be the best
>>568826inb4 ded danny :(
>>568913We are just not up for talking to him the day we found out, it isn't like we are burning anything down.
>>568913Emotions can male you illogical anon. She's upset and taking it out on the ones closest to her
>>568913You mean the way a normal person would react? They could have said no, but they didn't they wanted a weapon
>>568913Because they said "yes". They knew it'd be shady, dangerous, and morally fucked and they still said yes.He didn't mind control them or force their hands. We don't not-hate Orochimaru, but a sinner who strikes a bargain with the Devil is just as culpable for the loss of their soul.
>>568913I would also rather we acquire a suicidal obsession with killing snek out of this than a massive rift with our family. He's going down in about 500 episodes when we're finally strong enough to fight him.
>>568913Because "you hurt the ones closest to you".Yes it doesnt make full logical sense but it does make emotional sense, seeing that tsuki right now is reeling abit from the sense of betrayal. It'll take abit longer before those feelings subside.
>>568913Orochimaru deserves a lot of the hate, don't get me wrong, but Father and Danzo still had a hand in it. They may not have known the full consequences of the decision, but ignorance does not make them fully innocent. I'm all for making up with them in the near future, but not the same day we learned this.
>>568937It's not illogical to be upset with them.
>>568913Tsuki is a fairly immature and arrogant young girl. She just learned that a man who could have killed her at any time helped give her powers that threaten to hurt her anytime she uses them, killed her mother, and her father was all for it.She is upset and lashing out at anyone, as evidenced with Maru. Her father was the biggest influence that had a hand in it that she could affect. Shes lashing out, not fully understanding where she should truly direct her anger
>>568963better put than what I was about to vomit out
>lashing out at anyone, as evidenced with Maru.Incorrect. She could have bitten the head off of her teammates, the guard and the maid at the front gate.Head maid made the mistake of automatically assume Tsuki was at fault. It wasn't "What did Danzo and your father do to upset you?" It was, "What do you think you've been doing little lady!"
>>569003Dude, she isn't disowning them or leaving forever, she's just rightfully mad at both of them.It literally has not even been a full day, only a complete sociopath would shake off something like this so quickly.
>>568988Sorry meant to link this to you >>568969
>>569003Its not really half a story, considering that tsuki actually does have the stella chakra and pedosnek himself approached us to want to see it in action.
>>568988Yeah, exactly. Tsuki's has nothing but legitimate reasons to be angry with her dad and Danzo right now, to say nothing of Orochimaru (I don't get where people think we're not blaming him for a thing he explicitly did), and Maru's first response was to try and rein her in like she was a little girl who should really know better than to make everyone worry like that.Maru only got some of Tsuki's anger because she handled things really poorly, and even then Tsuki cooled her head almost immediately. Tsuki isn't lashing out indiscriminately.
>>568934Oh really because it looks to me like these anons in the thread are ready to linch our Father>>568937I would think Tsuki would be smart enough not to fly of the handle as soon as she did thoughshe would ask questions and find out the full story then get all pissywe when 0 to 100 too fucking quick>>568947>>568960>>568963Sure i see your points but it just seems like Tsuki is too eager to just cast away the men she has known from birth and was raised by and completely disown them based on half a story. >>568953stop it anon that's edgy as fuck>>568969I didn't get that impression at all guess i just read the character different>>569015Sorry my autism would not allow me to keep that post up with all the mistakes in therealso can you explain your point further please

The elevator sputters to a stop, and you lift the security cage.Sure enough, the old Shinobi sits at his desk, thumbing through a book, though it’s unclear what it is.As you approach, he doesn’t look up.“Danzo, it’s not polite to scorn a lady when she enters a room.” you chide, though not with malice.“Tsuki-dono, I…” he starts, still not making eye-contact.“Danzo. That wasn’t what we agreed upon. I’m here to talk.” you scold. He closes the book, and returns your gaze. “I’m sorry, Tsuki.” he says, his face still mournful.“The past is the past, Danzo. You can’t bring her back, or undo what's been done. But- don’t apologize. I’m not quite ready to forgive either you or father.” you respond. His shoulders sag a bit, but he says nothing.“However, just because I haven’t forgiven you doesn’t mean I’m going to hold it against you. Besides, it doesn’t fit a shinobi of your caliber to wallow in sadness. If you’re truly sorry, I’d have you redouble your efforts- Konoha is weaker without your counsel.” “ROOT again? Tsuki, as I said before, doing such a thing under Minato’s nose isn’t advisable…” he says, though he doesn’t sound nearly as sure of himself as he once did.“I’d have us be prepared, if nothing else. Everything for Konoha’s safety, right?” you dig.The old shinobi winces a bit, before sighing.“Very well, Tsuki. I’ll catalog what repairs or enhancement the facility may need- along with preparing a list of former and prospective agents. I assume you are not staying for your month of training?” he concedes.“No, I’ve decided to train with Itachi-sensei. One of the reasons I came back was to let you know- it’s for the best if everyone isn’t working through a malaise.” you explain.Danzo deflates even further, but doesn’t say anything. He likely knows it won’t make a difference. “I’ll be gone for several weeks- I expect we’ll be having some in depth conversation when I return. Don’t let me down, Danzo.” He takes a breath, then stands.“It will be done. If you need me, I’ll be here.” he says.“I’ll keep that in mind. Farewell, Danzo.” you say, walking back towards the elevator.
>>568913They allowed him to do it.>>569028>Oh really because it looks to me like these anons in the thread are ready to linch our FatherOnly just found the thread so I can't speak for others but I view it more as Tsuki found out that two people she trusts allowed someone she personally considers to be a monster to diddle with her while she was in utero and that very well could have killed her mother. Its also doesn't help that in an earlier thread Danzo made up some reason saying Orochimaru and his people where brought in to help mama Tsuki during childbirth. And blamed her death on Minato and his people.>I would think Tsuki would be smart enough not to fly of the handle as soon asTsuki had just gone through a very tough couple of days. It doesn't matter how smart she is Emotions can come in and fuck you up without warning.
>>569028Right. I mean first off we have pedosnek coming to the chuunin exams, also explicitly telling us to show off the stella release for him to see, when no one else save Danzo had actually witnessed us using it.Considering our knowledge of root, that orochimaru had left Konoha and how Danzo looks at traitors, theres hardly any chance Danzo would have told pedosnek about stella release after we revealed it to Danzo. Then when we speak with Danzo about the how and why Orochimaru knows of our chakra release, he basically implicates himself and father as being complicit in the genetic engineering of Tsuki and the eventual death of Tsuki's mom. This is basically a confession. Not like someone else telling us that Danzo, orochimaru and father were in on this. The primary actors in have all but confessed to it.
>>569028we aren't advocating anything as severe as you may think. mast of the "don't forgive them yet" camp do want to have an eventual reconciliation, just after some time has passed. This just doesn't seem like the sort of thing you put past you within a day of hearing it.
>>569075I think that's fair. Of course anybody saying we stay mad at them 4EVR are edgy little faggots.
>>569058man, thats a cold tsuki.
Goodnight thread, thanks for running Wargle. Now don't do anything stupid with our training.
>>569090Reminder that we only need a day training anti-Sharingan, anything more and were fucking ourselves over with the rest of the opponents
>>569112It might need more than a day, anon.
One of the key things we need is Chakra channeling, specifically into swords, so we can slice though armour, sand, chakra chains, extend range and more. As a sword user its a really important thing.
>>569090Quick! What the stupidest thing we can do?
>>569120We just need the basics theirs only one Uchiha and it would be smarter to train our other skills to make us stronger overall. Besides Tsuki has the feeling that Orochimaru is going to pull some shady shit like attacking the village
>>569035Thanks for the spellcheck bra have a Hinata>>569041>>569075The whole linch thing was hyperbolic I can understand why Tsuki would be mad but i just thought she would be mature enough to handle this better and not flip out on two men who are probably regret the decision everyday of their lives. My whole thing is that as far as we know Danzo and Father aren't villains and shouldn't be treated like this after spending their whole lives trying to make it up to us by providing us with a good life.>>569045I think we did but apparently that is total in character for Tsuki so ill just shut up and go with it>>569068Im just saying we haven't heard everyone's side of the story and we don't know how Father and Danzo feel about the situation>>569064He wasn't a monster back then he was a close family friend that promise them the worldbut i can understand that last bit

>>569132She had no idea Orochimaru was a family friend until after she saw his men destroying the land of rice paddies or whatever.
>>569138Then its retarded to do, wasting a week to help us against one opponent when we can spend it learning new jutsus we can use on everyone. Besides what if we don't face Sausage till the finals?>>569141He probably knows some anti-sharingan moves, we can learn them from him after the exams
>>569132You STILL spelled lynch wrong!Anyways, it's said and done, best to move onto training... when Wargle posts, that is.
>>569150>Then its retarded to doNot if it gives us an edge.Plus, it's anti-Sharingan training. Who has that? Pretty much nobody.
>>569150The obvious anti-sharingan move is to stab at where a dick would be on us while he's copying us.Either he drops the sharingan or loses his bits
>>569156It gives us an edge against one person we might not even get to fight while stopping us from getting stronger overall. And we can learn it after the exams if we want that skill, and if you say it will be useless then you are proving my point
>>569156>>569163Anti-sharingan training actually is pretty useful in-universe. Considering that theres a whole clan of them now, not like in original where there were only a handful of uchihas left.
When you exit Danzo’s chambers, you’re greeted by a rather concerned Maru.“Your father hasn’t responded to me, Tsuki-dono. I know you haven’t forgiven him, but…. Maybe he’ll respond to you? You were always able to before…” she reports. That is… a half truth. Father shutting himself into his office is not horribly uncommon, and the rules of the house generally say he is not be disturbed except in emergencies when this occurs.Usually, he’s in the throws of invention- he doesn’t want to lose his train of thought, or be otherwise distracted. Father is… a passionate man, after all. However, on the furthest edges of your memory, there are other occasions where the door was shut. Loud, angry noises, shouts and sobs. It had not happened in years, but even as a small girl, you had learned it was always best to leave Father to his devices if he wanted to be alone.Maru knows this. She’s been here since as long as you can remember. So why now? Why would she suggest you break that rule?“Maru, I don’t think that’s wise. Surely he heard you- and simply doesn’t wish to be disturbed?” you ask.“I… am unsure, Tsuki-dono. He and Danzo had a private discussion- after which, your father stormed off into his study, bolting the door behind him.” Maru explains.Wonderful.You…1. Attempt to talk to father, as much as you don’t want to.2. Do something non-committal, like slipping a note under his door. 3. Don’t talk to him. >>569170>1Better have this done now.
>>569222>>569227Oh come on guys shes not that badI mean just look at her design Shes Gorgeous>>569239See this is acceptable No hate Just Daughterly Disappointment 10/10 anon good work
>>569251We are mad, about them not telling us.About what they didn't do.Not anything they did. They didn't kill mom.Orochimaru did that.
>>5691701. Attempt to talk to father, as much as you don’t want to.
>>569260All Uchiha's should be burned, the entire plot in Naruto is its all their fault>>569263>Mad they didn't tell usAnon they A okay'd it the blood is on their hands its just as much their fault.
>>569267Yeah from what Danzo said. Yoru (dad) was all for it. Mum was a bit sus so she went to Danzo and he said go for it.
>>569267pedosnek probably lied about parts of the dangers to our parents so it'll seem safer.
>>569252Lots of people popping in and out
Come on, guys. I know what he wrote sounded sweet and nice, but it's not even remotely in character right now.>>569263I'm going to have to disagree with you, considering everything that's happened in the last couple threads. We're angry at them for outright agreeing to what happened to us. They didn't do it, but they allowed it to happen and were on board with it enough to talk our mother into it, which ended with her dying.
>>569239I'm not really for this. I'd say at bare minimum we're upset, disappointment doesn't really feel like it describes the situation. >>569263Also I believe it's more accurate to say we're mad they meddled with things they had no right to, and doing that were extremely risky. They were blind to the consequences that could arise because of their arrogance and that put peoples lives in danger.
>>569277yeah, sure, in and out of their phones
Let's meet Yoru Norihime.Writing.
>>569170>1 if only because we can leave as we please and I dont want him doing something he'll regret later
>>569267>Implying Orochimaru (the non-traitor sanin) wouldn't pitch it as risky but entirely manageable.Everybody seems to be hovering at "blood feud for listening to Dr. Snake, Community Pillar", which is a level of mad I don't get.Our life wasn't ruined in the slightest, it just snatched the possibility of knowing someone we never did.It had way more impact on Danzo and Dad than it ever did on us.
>>569267>>569275They had no idea it would get this badand also you are forgetting that all this shit would have stopped if Mother said no sure she was influenced by Danzo and Father but do you really think they would have pressured her into doing something she didnt want to do.Blaming Danzo and Father for trusting the wrong person isn't the way to go
>>569239I voted one but I don't support this at all. Tsuki has every right to be mad.
>>569285And you can see the only other posts they make are other votes with the same sentiments. Really makes you think
Seriously, it's incredible to me how quickly everyone just throws staying in-character out the window the minute someone writes something that sounds sweet and nice.Talking to dad honestly shouldn't have even been an option here, becaua if we were going to do that, we wouldn't have gone to such great lengths to avoid having to talk to him.At the very least, Wargle, please don't have us say anything like this >>569239
>>569286Somehow that sounded... very ominous to me. Wargle be gentle
>>569286For the record dude I voted one but I don't support this, "I'm just disappointed," shit.
>>569298I wanted to talk to Dad because even if Tsuki is mad she can still worry about her dad. I just wanted her to knock on his door tell him she's all right and is going to train for round 3 and get the fuck out of doge.
>>569289>>569290Sure we know not to trust him now but back then he was well respected and no one knew he was crazy. And this whole thing was to make their child into a super weapon they did this for either their own greed or to make their house stronger and either of these ideas are deplorable
>>569289they all (but mostly snek) were involved in unauthorized human experimentation that carried huge risks to the lives of the patient, without the slightest consideration of those risks. It cost us a mother. Generation lasting vendettas have been started over less.
To everyone bent out of shape because you think talking to Yoru somehow means forgiveness:Sit down, crack open a drink, and wait for my slow ass to write this up.I always keep Tsuki's frame of mind as a lens to look through any interaction.Always. Talking does not equal forgiveness.
>>569311Only one I think. The other is literally "secure my child's future by any means necessary"Orochimaru obviously only saw us as a weapon.Yoru and Danzo never treated us as such. It's entirely possible they just thought we'd think that and hid it for those reasons.
>>569309As long as we stick to that, that's fine.Hell, the best thing we could say at this point would be to do our best to keep an even tone and just say something like "I'm going to train with Sensei. I'll see you after the third round." Then just leave.Simple, to the point, and actually pretty poignant given what we're feeling.
>>569329And also, this is gonna go in a real different way than the other anons think. It's gonna get really interesting.>>569337Seconding this.Really wanna finish training tonight.Though I doubt we'll even get there.
>>569333Anon sit down and think for a bit about them never treating us as a weapon. They've could have easily been doing it subtly
>>569298I mean I explained the reason I think we should talk to dad, even though I'm in the say mad camp>>569288
People are surprisingly surprised that our Father is an amoral mad scientist. Did they forget the time he insinuated that he'd sucked the life out of several entire villages of people trying to power a flying machine? Or how he was buddy buddy with Orochimaru AND Danzo? Or how everyone everywhere fears and despises him? Our father is motherfucking Lex Luthor! I'm surprised we're not half-robot!
>>569354I really doubt that, considering Danzo's actions and words when we went to see the 3rd.
>>569354Why are you so against the ideat that our Father actually cares about usWe have no evidence that this is the caseDanzo and Father have done nothing but show us love from day fucking one
>>569367Don't forgot the arms dealing to the guy incharge of the Land of Snow and how we had him over for a bit>>569370Because now I have a reason to be suspicious before I didn't doubt it at all but with this bombshell things are different things they did might have a different motive
>>569370I concur. I don't think dad or Danzo were ever after a weapon, they wanted a protege. WE went to Danzo for training, WE wanted to become a ninja. they just taught us to the best of their ability. WE gave Danzo something good in his life, WE gave dad something other than work and being alone. Tsuki is the light that keeps this household from becoming a masion of broken things, a sad lonely old ninja, a sad lonely arms dealer. Tsuki is the thing though bright life and happiness to this household.
>>569354ehh I wouldn't go that far, the "securing my child's future" bit sounds far more in character than molding us into a weapon. thats snek's schtick>>569370that being said, there's no reason why he cant genuinely love us but still be an objectionably terrible person as>>569367 has pointed out
>>569392You, I like you
>>569392All the more reason for this to be a wakeup call for them.
>>569397meant to say objectively objectionable fml
people are going to the extremes way too fucking fast on way too little infojust wait and see what the update bringsthen react accordingly
>>569367I view Yoru as one of those guys whose ethics flees out the window when he hears the word SCIENCE!!!!. He's not really a bad guy, its just when he's thinking about inventions and innovations that's all he's thinking about.
You take a deep breath. This could go any which way, and the only thing you’re confident in is that is this a bad idea.“Fine, Maru. Stay here- it’s best I talk to him alone.” you instruct.Father pays lip service to Maru most of the time, but her presence won’t help now.You trudge up the stairs, making the long walk down the hallway to where his office lies. The door looms in the distance, and when you walk up to it, a small knot forms in your stomach. You don’t want to do this. But, here you are.You gently rap on the door, before announcing myself.“Father, I’ve returned.” you state simply. After a moment, the door unlocks, but does not open. Finally, he speaks.“Enter.”His voice is cold, and without emotion- very unlike your father. As you enter, the first thing you notice is that his desk is empty. No paperwork, no sketches, no maps. It’s completely clean. On the far side of the room, Yoru Norihime sits, wearing a fine suit, swirling a glass of wine.“Take a seat, Tsuki.” he says, gesturing to the plush green armchair across from his.The fall night’s breeze makes you shiver slightly as you walk towards the fireplace, sitting down in the chair as instructed.Across from you is your Father. His face is an impartial mask.“Go ahead, Tsuki. Say what’s on your mind.”Yoru takes a drink of wine, his gaze unbroken. To the point, then.“I’m going to be leaving for training soon. Thought it would be best for you to know.” you state flatly.“So you aren’t going with me to the Capital, then? Disappointing.” he responds.“No, I’ll be with Itachi-sensei. The third round is soon.” you explain.“Ah, the Uchiha boy. Made quite an impression on you, hasn’t he? I must say, I think I preferred your first teacher.” …? Why would he…
>>569392Well, it's entirely fair to say as a fetus they were like "worse case scenario the wife can have another" like you do when you're an amoral science jockey. But once we got here that changed. Is this really the same thread where people were volunteering to be a battery for a flying fortress?Or is this a case of "oh no, how could amoral Tony Stark experiment on something he had no emotional investment in at the time."?Because I'm still not seeing a reason to tantrum super hard.
>>569422Oh good lord, this is a Norihime household cold war.
>>569422HERE WE GOOOOOO
>>569417I view him as the guy who'd have loved us just as much if were were a horribly mutated amoral killing machine. The kind of guy who loves his soul-devouring nightmare machines as much as his own daughter. Basically, I'm not sure he'd love us as much if we WEREN'T the product of human experimentation. Keep in mind that He hung out with Danzo and Orochimaru, not as a lackey, not as a fanboy, as an EQUAL. Somewhere they both RESPECTED and NEVER CROSSED. Hell, Orochimaru might have fled the village BECAUSE of what happened with our mother!
Welp...dad don't like Uchihas...fair enough
>>569446they have built in photocopiers for eyes, they steal ideas!
>>569446>"don't like Uchihas">Not "Don't like that Tsuki has a clear crush on this guy who's family has beef with my old pal"
>>569422inb4 he gives Tsuki a puppy
>>569459That spider even kind of looks like Ebisu. So that's where he's been hiding all this time!
>>569438Hell of a thing, wouldn't it?>Shit happens with mom>Orochimaru comes home to find his entire house has been turned into some batshit collection of Rube Goldberg death traps>at some point between the phone call to Yoru and his walk home>Despite all his defenses apparently being untouched>This just happens>Meanwhile Yoru is drinking tea with the Hokage and laying out evidence for Orochimaru's exile.
>>569464I think I can accept the old. "So my daughter has a crush on some one. OVER MY DEAD BODY. DANZO BRING ME MY SHOTGUN!!!" dislike to the purge Uchiha dislike.
>>569466the puppy was also experimented on by Orochimaru
>>569477in this case it might be bring the prototype airborne flying fortress
>>569482So they have common ground?Perfect!
>>569422Wow, dis is like some sort of cold war. Get it because der bein so frosti to each odder
>>569482NOOOOO MISTER SNUFFLES!!!
>>569482That's a cat and a rattlesnake.
>>569488Tss tssDouble icicles, cawksucka!Tss tss
>>569491At least it's not a cazaclaw.
Your father’s gaze trails off, looking out the window.“You’re trying hard to suppress your anger, Tsuki. That cold expression you just gave me? It’s the one I see in the mirror.”You feel the mask crack, just a bit.“Father- that’s hardly appropriate. Don’t direct your anger toward Itachi-sensei just because I found out about mother.” you retort. His eyes snap back to yours.“I merely stated an opinion. Shinobi or not, I am entitled to it.”“So, since you so tenderly broached the topic, my dear daughter- what is it you have to say about your mother?”“Do you blame me? Am I some sort of monster?” You are rather lost for words...“This world is dangerous, Tsuki. As a shinobi, you have experienced it first hand. This peace- it will not last. In wartime, I am the generous benefactor, the one who’s technology and munitions helped turn the tide of the conflict! But in peace? I am no longer needed. Superfluous to this idea of a lasting peace between the nations. The Third lied to himself, and the Fourth is a fool. I’ve been to every corner of this world, seen the people who populate these lands.”“Father, I don’t-”“I have done more for the defense of Konoha and the Land of Fire in these last 13 years than the Fourth has done in his lifetime. He is a powerful shinobi, certainly. But his ideals blind him from the truth.”He takes another drink of wine.“Your mother saw my way of thinking. She cared for you, of course. Worried how it might affect you- she never once worried about herself. He did not lie to us, Tsuki. Do not let his current actions blind you to what he offered. The power you wield came at the cost of your mother’s life- but only because He was not here to finish the procedure.”“Do I regret your mother’s death? Of course I do. She was my beloved wife- just as you are my beloved daughter.”
>>569547OH SHIT! Our mother died because Orochimaru was banished!
>>569547Okay, so talking to him was a good call after all. This us really interesting.
>>569547So, this is the man behind the warm maskA man who'd do anything if he thought it was necessary for the greater good.
>>569560Orochimaru did nothing wrong!
>>569569>if he thought it was necessary for the greater good.Ehh.... Keep reading.
>>569561We've known that for a while. Danzo told us after our first mission with Itachi I think.>>569565Welp leaving justified again.>>569569Its not a mask. He probably is very caring and really enjoys spending time with Tsuki. Doesn't mea he can't be an asshole as well.>>569571ehhhhh......
>>569571remov snek.Seriously though, I can see how Danzo and father became friends. But is it me or does he actually come across as more hardline than Danzo.
>>569575>Its not a mask. He probably is very caring and really enjoys spending time with Tsuki. Doesn't mea he can't be an asshole as well.
>>569547>>569571>>569561Oh shit, you're right. She wouldn't have died if the third hadn't driven him off before the procedure was complete.I think the whole situation in general is just kinda fucked, no one person was wrong or at fault.Shit just went wrong.
>>569576He does, which means Danzo lost his way, daddy was the true rootfag all along!Remove snek ideology killed her mother!
Mama Norihime could have lived if Minato/sarutobi didn't kick out Orowelp Tsuki has to become hokage (or get somebody with similar views to be hokage) before the dumb blonde ruins ruins leaf town
>>569592Mama Norhime could have lived if they hadn't listened to Oro in the first place.
>>569589I'm a ROOTfag. Between Tsuki, Danzo and Dad we will make Konaha great again. We shall influence Hinata....make her more like us....we will join the ANBU....slowly our influence will spread...then we all know what comes next.
>>569586Right.But whatever he's doing now. It's fomenting war and destruction for no readily discernable purpose.Regardless of his past actions being sort of "neutral" as it were, this is clearly fucked.
The question is, Does dad REALLY think Orochi would have not taken us away if he wasn't forced out of the village?
>>569547You don't have to write each part separately. You can write the whole update and post them one after the other.
>>569601>no readily discernible purposeGee, how about profit?Nobody's ever gone to war to make money before, that's never happened.
>>569600Abject failure? Selling out to rabbits for letting our heart shrivel and die?
>>569608There's easier/ more profitable ways than knocking over some nowhere hole in the ground.
>>569602 Why would he? Tsuki's daddy is an ally with a lot of resources and Tsuki would have been raised to see him as an ally, shit they may have even had Oro train her. He's a Sanin ffs.>>569600A better Konohana.>>569598But that would be to deny progress. Very un-Norihime. The close minded nature of the third and fourth killed her mother, not science.
>>569613Sure, you could shine shoes or sell your body to make a quicker buckAnd you could sell stolen good to make the best profit possible on anything you sell. Our family is a major military tech supplier, there's always going to be something else you could do, but this is what our family does.
>>569608That said.Testing out some new experiments in need of a testing ground works. But who knows if Tsuki'd connect those dots from Neji since he didn't complete transformation?
>>569616Just because you can justify something doesn't stop it from being evil.>>569620Or you could branch out into home goods. Like Tv's, cars, refrigerators and music players.
>familial relations>potential romance options>training priorities what will we argue over next?is Tsuki pro Skub or anti Skub?
>>569576>>569589He's not a ninja, so he must be one CRAZY motherfucker to get involved in ninja wars. I get the feeling he's been either playing softball since the end of the war. Right now he's powerful and important, but not "I fought the law and I WON" powerful. For reference, after all the shit tha went down Danzo is living alone in a basement stripped of all power and authority, and Orochimaru is hiding out in a literal hole in the ground in another country, while Yoru is Living in a giant mansion INSIDE KONOHA, STILL WORKING LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED! there's absolutely no way in hell that he wasn't involved in everything those two did, and he's walking free because he's THAT IMPORTANT!
>>569627Fund both sides of the arguement to fuel the fire.Sell weapons to both Pro-skub and Anti-skub.
>>569627Norihime is all about innovation, we will build a bettter skubA skub to end all skubsNoriskub
>>569627The "Are we going to save Gaara" argument seems next on the chopping block
>>569627Pro skub if she can corner the market supply, but she doesn't use it herself. Not so much because she doesn't like it, but she can afford way more specialized, premium products. The best.
>>569637That's for Jinchuurikis to deal with
>>569624You go ahead and try to convince him to do that, but something tells me there's a reason he's not doing that already, assuming he isn't.Generally the military of a major country pays a lot better than civilians in an electronics store, particularly the ones with the most military power.
“However, you now sit before me- the promise he made to us fulfilled. You have enormous potential- and if you are anything like me, you would never dare to squander it.”“I’ve given you as much as I can. The best instructors, a secure upbringing- even powerful social connections that will last you long after I’m dead. I’ve done everything I could do to give you everything I never had.”“Danzo said that you called yourself a weapon. In a sense, that is correct. You are that, and so much more. Orochimaru promised us the next Hashirama Senju, and he delivered.”“I made this family. I brought us out of nothing to the absolute peak of society. But you are it’s scion- and nobody will deny you.”He sneers. “I love this village. I was born here, raised among the streets as a civilian. I’ve watched it be nearly destroyed- twice. Of course, my counsel is barely heeded- I am no shinobi. I’ve been fortunate the daimyo heeds my council.”“Your mother’s death was painful for me. It plagues me to this very day that I didn’t have the power to save her- But your mother never regretted her choice. Neither do I. Sitting in front of me is Asa’s legacy, my dear daughter.”“So, I’ll ask you again. Am I a monster?”1. Yes, you're a monster!2. The ends weren't worth the means, Father.3. No, you aren't a monster.
>>569645God bless America
>>569601When you say he you mean Orochimaru correct? He's destabilizing things and building his resources. He's trying to create openings to gain power.>>569624Tsuki's dad has never gone on a rant about the morals of business or invention. Capitalism =/= morality.>>569637Garra is a cute murder machine and would be an excellent addition to the Norhime arsenal.
>>5696463. No, you aren't a monster.
I actually think we should use this chance, lets get really into the weapons production and tech front, fun angle too play and make bank. Make daddy proud.
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster. Can't really deny the results.
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster."I'd just rather have a mom than a powerful bloodline"
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster.
>>569646>2. The ends weren't worth the means, Father.Okay, Dad might actually be the end boss.
>>569646>2. The ends weren't worth the means, Father.
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster.Just a man with drive, you are no monster. you ARE MY FATHER
>>569646>2. The ends weren't worth the means, Father.>>569649If we get Gaara to care about us more then the Sand fine, it'll be good to have a powerful agent over their pushing our will
>>569657>>569656>>569655>>569654>>569652>>569659Are you fucking serious? How are you not voting 2.?
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster. We will make Konohana great again.
>>569646>4. To me, you're still my father, even if i wouldn't have made that same choice. I can't agree with what you did, but i've seen monsters, and you're only human.
>>569646>3Dad of the year right here. And it's true
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster.DADDY
>>569646>2. The ends weren't worth the means, Father.Fucking really guys?
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster.>2. The ends weren't worth the means, Father.
>>569668Because I think he's right. He set it on the table. He took risks, this is the result. We're the best Tsuki we can be. It's a horrible shame mom died, but that blame can be spread pretty wide.
>>569668I'm not a pussy.
Jesus Christ to many people are willing to forgive this shit. 3. is a better option than 1. but 2. is VASTLY superior.
>>569677And their we go basically saying our Dad was right, so much for staying angry and having Tsuki develop even a little
>>569646"I'm...not sure the ends were worth the means.""But...you aren't... whatever else you might be you're still my father.""This is.. just going to take a bit of thinking.""You know I have a hard time applying that label to people anyway! That's not fair!"Deflect, get mad about something else. He's still dad whatever else he is and we do care, we're just pissed.
>>569646>4. Get to the fucking training
>>569668>>569677I'm sorry you have bad taste. I've been in it for the mad science and madder lack of morals since the beginning.
>>569668>people don't think was i think>how dare you!Welcome to democracy.You are a minority.
>>569680But you're voting pussy option.
I'd argue our dad is no monster and now is not the time. Tsuki is very much the ends always justify the means, we fucking shreded the sound nin, killed the rain ones, kept the bunnies. Tsuki is the end game, Nora will be the final bossActivate MakeKonahaGreatAgain.exe
>>569684>>569646Basically I meant 3 but with being a bit mad he won't just let us have our tantrum for a while. But hey, results. And it was probably harder on him the whole time.
>>5696463Here's not a monster, he's a man who'd do anything for the place and people he loves
>>569681Abit of B, abit of C. Like from Hinata's words, everyone in the village did this sort of shady shit for their power. >>569656This sentiment is perfect though.
So since we're forgiving dad immediately for this shit why don't we go forgive pedosnake also! I'm sure that won't end badly!
So our dad us evil Stark... Sick
>>569705So salty, I'm getting dehydrated.
>>5696812 is to deny reality. As >>569704 says we're all weapons. Mom agreed to it. Orochimaru did it with their consent. It went south because the fourth/third kicked him out for being crazy which lead to complications with the pregnancy. >>569705Pedosnake is still on the hook because we saw his troops slaughter a village. There's a difference in between volunteering for experimentation and being slaughtered.
>>569679Whether he's right or not doesn't make what he did right.>>569680Yes you are you're bending over backwards at the first sign of I DID THE SHIT I DID AND HERE'S THE REASON WHY!!>>569687This is why I hate this quest sometimes.>>569688Apparently. The least they could do is vote for both 2 and 3.>>569698>>569700I third these guys.and this >>569656
>>569705Because he's explicitly threatening our home, dad destabalizes/restabalizes foreign countries for profit far away from where we might be harmed.>On the news v. With our own eyes basically
I think if we are gonna vote, fuck the bullshit response thats 2. Go and vote 3, we even spoke to Hanzo the salamander about this. Dont do half measures, own this shit.
>>569646>3. No, you aren't a monster.But,>2. The ends weren't worth the means, Father. All men, even those with the best of intentions, make mistakes. But to refuse to acknowledge a mistake and address it as such is to make another mistake.
>>569646Voting 3 Make the family ofoud and honour nom, she belived as dad does
>>569714>Apparently. The least they could do is vote for both 2 and 3.>implying people with opinions should have to budge even a little because of what you want
>>569718Yup we should follow the ideals of a man we had one conversation with and who anons didn't even try to train under
>>569714>Whether he's right or not doesn't make what he did right.Being right doesn't make you right? They consented to the action. It's not wrong if everyone involves agrees to the action. They both wanted a stronger kid.
>>569722I love your quests. But this wasn't a mistake. It was a calculated risk. They knew what they were getting into.
>>569726Well lets go down the list of people who share this belief. Yoru, Danzo, Hanzo, apparently our mum, the bunnies whispering in our head. Those people had a pretty damn big impact on us don't you think?
Everybody just chill the fuck out.
>>569722Fuck are you running Queen?>>569727I don't know anymore. I give up.
Orochimaru is bad because he's our enemy, and he's insane. There's a line between "I did it because it had to be done" and "I did it because I wanted to", and Orochimaru crossed that. Danzo would slaughter an orphanage without blinking an eye if he thought it would help Konoha, Orochimaru would do it because he was bored.
>>569725 EngagingYou know that I love you. Right?
>>569737No, I just forgot to take my dumb trip off. I haven't even had breakfast (read: pot of coffee) yet, so some things that should be easy start to get really fucking difficult.>>569732Fair, but I still believe that even from their perspective trusting Orochimaru was a mistake. And since Tsuki can't see the world from Yoru's perspective it would be fair for her to disagree with his assessment of the man he trusted. If I get outvoted though that's fine. It just means people don't agree with that assessment, which is fair enough.
>I'm glad we had that heart to heart Tsuki, now let's all go out for Frosty Chocolate Milkshakes
It's impossible for any quest protagonist to stay mad at anything other than full-on evil motherfuckers for more than a day.
So are we apologizing to Danzo after this...hell do we even plan to apologize to Father
>>569770No.We're gonna fucking train.

“No, you aren’t a monster. You’ve done everything you needed to do, with a purpose in mind. Deep down, I knew that. But, was it worth Mother’s life? I…Father’s face softens.“I know, Tsuki. I’ve dealt with those demons every single day since I lost her. My choices deprived you of your mother. I understand if you hate me for it. But, I must believe that it was worth it- That your mother’s sacrifice will lead to better world.”You’re still angry. Angry at your father for being factually correct.Angry at the Shinobi for being so rigid.Angry Danzo for his inaction. Angry at the entire world, for taking your mother away from you.But you have no true outlet for these feelings-And for the second time today, you begin to cry.“I haven’t forgiven you. I haven’t forgiven Mother, and I haven’t forgiven Danzo. But- I see your reasoning. You aren’t a monster, Father. If nothing else, mother’s sacrifice will not be in vain.”“I understand, my precious daughter. Go, do your training under the Uchiha boy. Take what lessons he can teach you and grow strong. Show everyone how strong the Norihime are!The impassive mask has fallen away, and your father’s smiling face returns.Your emotions still rage within you… but you don’t have time to deal with them right now.You leave your Father’s office, return to your room, and pack your things. Sensei’s awaits- it’s time you begin your training.
>>569779As he should.He did a bad thing.
>>569763ah okay.>>569727Okay I figured out what I meant (I problem brain) So your best friends wife is pregnant and he's super excited about it. But you know its not his, its a baby she got after fucking some other dude for some reason she really regrets and wants to pass it off as his. You know all this. And so you announce it. In front of him, all his friends and family. Now you are 100% right. But that doesn't make what you did right.
>>569768I think we have a different scenario here.I think what were more saying is that we get why they did what they did and their intentions, but keeping all of this from us is Not Okay. But, we'll see how Wargle writes it.
>>569779I agree, that is a heinous crime. And I would be all for apologizing to Danzo for being bitchy.Maybe others will let it happen if we give them time to calm down?
>>569780She isn't Hilariously evil just evil. A 7/10 on the evil scale from what we know the First Mate is much worse. Plus theres Jesus and were constantly pissed at him too
>>569781And once again Wargle makes me feel like an idiot for arguing with you all.
>>569784I don't entirely agree. He should be informed. Perhaps it should have been done in private with just him involved, but knowing is better than not knowing. It may turn out better if it's revealed in public so it's harder for her to point fingers at just the not!father when things go rocky after the reveal.
>>569791He gave it to 2/3 instead of just 3. He compromises to try and stop the whining.
>>569794No, I think he's pretty clear about doing everything through the character's eyes.Tsuki established that she's mad, but also pragmatic enough to admit, as much as it bothers her, that she gets it. She's still furious about being kept in the dark about something so important, but she gets it.
>>5697973 was I understand. 2 was, was it worth it?>But, was it worth It's in the first set of blue text.
>>569799No, I can see it, but I don't think that's Wargle capitulating to the various votes but simply what he thinks Tsuki would say.
>>569802I disagree. If it had been a landslide for 2 we wouldn't have seen any I understand. If we had seen a landslide of 1 we wouldn't have seen any 3. He got majority 3 with some 2. He compromised.
>>569790>She isn't Hilariously evil just evilShe blew up a trader ship with all hands because of a dakimakura. That's hilarious AND evil!>Jesus and were constantly pissed at him tooeh, It seems more like we're amused by his extreme naivety and hypocrisy than being mad at him.
Tsuki isn't going to do an about face and be all"YES DAD SEIG HEIL BURN THE UCHIHA"No matter what was chosen, that question needed to be addressed from her perspective. If two had been fully embraced, there would have been a lot more questioning and less pragmatic acceptance.
>>569807>, there would have been a lot more questioningOh thank fuck that wasn't happening.
>>569805No were usually annoyed/pissed whenever he shows up. And you got me that was pretty villainous
>>569807Needs more Ebisu.I didn't say burning the Uchiha was on the table. Itachi is cute.
>inb4 Wargle calls it a night as we leave the manor
You leave the Manor, saying goodbye to Maru as you do so. Your bags are slung over your shoulder, packed with only the bare essentials. You make the long, winding walk down the Hokage monument, enjoying the view of Konoha at peace. It’s beautiful, and it’s home. Your’s, your Father’s, and your Mother’s.It’s Hinata’s, and Nori’s and Itachi’s.Danzo’s, Maru’s, Sasuke’s, Lee’s, Sakura’s, Ino’s, TenTen’s….You continue to list off names for a while, before trailing off into silence.Eventually, you make your way to Itachi’s apartment, in the urban center of Konoha. It’s probably close to three in the morning, you realize- you hope he doesn’t mind. You knock softly on the door, and after a few moments, Itachi opens the door- albeit, in his sleepwear.“Oh, uh, sorry sensei- I just, you know, didn’t get to tell you what I wanted to do for my training…. And I had bit of an event at home, and I missed dinner, and-” you ramble.Your prattling is abruptly ended by a poke to the forehead.“Come on in. There’s room for you on the couch- we can start your training in the morning.” he says, giving you a sleepy smile.
>>569819Ok i've decided when we purge the Uchiha this one stays chained to our bed
Oh no. Oh shit. Fuck.Orochimaru was responsible for making Tsuki who she is.But the ones who killed Tsuki's mom would be either Danzo, Dad or herself.Orochimaru wasn't there to suppress the stella chakra when Tsuki was born because he was exiled so he didn't finish the procedure. But no other medical-nin was sought to replace him during the birthing. That he was exiled before the procedure was finished likely meant it was before Tsuki's mom was due to give birth. At any point of time, Danzo or Yoru could have approached Minato or even the 3rd for aid. The ruling Hokages are stuffy arseholes with too high morals. They might have banished Orochimaru but even they would balk at sacrificing the life of an innocent child for crimes she had no hand in. They might have placed the Norihime family under supervision but they would have brought in folks like tsunade or at the very least, elite ANBU medical-nin currently stationed in the village. That Konoha has no record of stella chakra means that Danzo, Yoru or Asa felt that secrecy was more important than ensuring both the lives of Tsuki and Asa. But why? If this was for the village, the bloodline would have eventually come out into the open, like how Tsuki is planning to reveal it. Was this really for the village or for something else.
>>569819Best Sensei. T.T sorry Ebisu-sensei, you could have been our bookish, weird, but legitimately cool adopted uncle. it just wasn't meant to be.
>>569829It was for the Norihime anon. And for Tsuki. It just isn't necessarily what she wanted.Don't forget whatever else she is, Tsuki is also the future of the Norihime family. It's understandable they'd want to secure her future from the word go.
>>569829Or, the means of creating and maintaining Tsuki's birth simply required skills that only Orochimaru possessed and, without him, the complications just killed Dead Mom.
>>569829>They might have banished Orochimaru but even they would balk at sacrificing the life of an innocent child for crimes she had no hand in. They might have placed the Norihime family under supervision but they would have brought in folks like tsunade or at the very least, elite ANBU medical-nin currently stationed in the village.>shinobi village>balking at anythingHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>569839Even if Orochimaru hadn't been kicked out of the village. "Oh no something came up that I couldn't foresee I'm sorry your wife is dead. But don't worry your new juts...I mean daughter is perfectly fine.">>569841Then why'd they kick out Orochi?
So who is up for the Norihime going full arms dealer and training, arming and recruiting a force of PMC/Shinobi. They use little chakra skills, just training and tons of gear/poisons and insiders. The New ROOT shall not be an ANBU force. They will be unlike anything this world has ever seen.
>>569850Let's focus on training for the exams.
>>569845Cause he was dissecting HUNDREDS OF KONOHA SHINOBI AND CIVILIANS. Literally kidnapping people off the streets of Konoha by the dozen! God only knows how many people from other countries he tortured to death before that everyone was totally okay with.
A few hours later, he wakes you- much to your protest.“Up, Tsuki Norihime! Today, we leave Konoha- to travel to the site of your training!”“...and where might that be?” you grumble sleepily. You had forgotten Itachi-sensei was more of a morning person than you….“The most renowned training locale in the shinobi world- the Highlands of Guiana!” he says with enthusiasm.“I’ve never heard of these highlands, sensei.” You mutter.“All the better to show you, then. We’ll get breakfast as we leave- and I have some friends waiting there to meet you!”“.....huh? Who could possibly be waiting for you?”----------------------------Your worst nightmare has come true. Waiting at the breakfast shop is none other than Hinata and Nori- with Nori wielding a portable camera.“It’s time, Princess!” she laughs triumphantly “We didn’t get to take one yesterday- so we’ll do it now, before you two leave!” Hinata says happily. You mutter something vaguely resembling threats to Nori’s life, before Itachi takes possession of the camera. “I’ll set the timer- everybody get in position! These pictures are an important shinobi tradition, after all!” he explains while fiddling with the device. Finally, he sets it down, satisfied. As the timer begins to count down, he shunshin’s just behind the three of you- and pulls all of you in close.Nori struggles and Hinata just laughs- and you smile. Maybe it will all be worth it, in the end. *FLASH*
>>569854>Guiana HighlandsWell looks like were going to run into every single competitor in this exam now
>>569838Fair but looking at Yoru, his skill at business meant the Norihime would already be properous and powerful. The kekki Genki means more power but it only translates to more influence if it is known and not hidden from the village, which means it would come out sooner or later. It doesn't make much sense for for secrecy to be more important than ensuring both mother and child's life.>>569839Still, no aid was sought after he was exiled. Why proceed with that delivery, knowing you and your child might die without medical attention, and not seek other help.>>569841They did have enough of Orochimaru and his experiments on ninjas from konoha.
>>569854the cuteness is strongsensei knows just how to cheer up his favorite science experiment
And that's all folks. Next thread, Itachi and Tsuki will head to the land of magical training. Sorry it didn't happen today@WargleQM for MilitarismNext thread will be thursday!Time for some post thread-Oh god this is /qst/ it's gonna live forever, isn't it....Oh well~
>>569864>Sorry it didn't happen todayYou should be.
>>569864Better save that pic as a png or add a dot to it in paintyou're gonna need dupes
>>569864Guiana Highlands, I don't recognize the name?
>>569864We still won't get to training next thread won't we.We'll be waylaid by some random encounter before we reach the training grounds~
>>569864Thanks Wargle. >Its gonna live foreverYeeeeeeaaaaaapAlso what are these highlands the wiki says nothing.
>>569859I think that, whatever the circumstance, nobody else had the skill that Orochimaru did to ensure that both mother and daughter survived the pregnancy and birth. The only one who might have would be Tsunade, and she most likely had already fucked off to be useless and drunk and poor.>>569864Thanks for running, WargleDon't worry, we'll adjust over time.It might not feel like home right now, but that doesn't mean it never will, yeah?
>>569870>>569864Or it'll be a long thread of just Itachi and Tsuki talking.
>>569869>>569871Thats because its a real life location
>>569873That training arc was around 12 or so episodes so get ready for that
>>569871>>569869WATCH G GUNDAM YOU FUCKS!
>>569874But the Narutoverse isn't real life.....
>>569868I'll think of something, hopefully.>>569869>>569874It's a reference to G Gundam. I chose not to set it anywhere specific because his training doesn't rely around it like some others did- and as a non-location we can basically just jump right into the training. >>569873HUSH YOU.
>>569829Also, if Tsuki is one of Orochimaru's secret projects, and Yoru and Danzo were complicit in it, wouldn't they have tried real hard to keep that on the down low?I mean what could they have done? What would they have said? "Yea, that Orochimaru is a maniac with no moral compass whatsoever, but we kind of need him because we turned Asa and her unborn child into one of his guinea pigs and would really like it if he was around to make sure things turn out alright."For the record: there is no shortage of people to blame for Asa's death. The leaf leadership banishing (I think they actually tried to arrest him and he fled in canon) Orochimaru is plenty responsible for Tsuki's mom being dead from what we've been told.Danzo? He is just a screwed up bit player in this. I think Tsuki needs to work this out a bit more him and her father and not run from her problems for the whole month. A shame her father is leaving town.
>>569883>Guiana HighlandsDid Itachi mean there are some people waiting at the training grounds too? Or was it only the photo thing?
>>569885I actually wanted to go with dad as an attempt at rebonding and learning dads craft.
>>569887Nope, just for the picture. They're setting out alone .
>>569889a-aalone time for a whole month with S-s-sensei
>>569888Yea, I feel like we didn't really get to hear his side of the story enough. For all we know he could have been very diligent and responsible with going over the procedure and thoroughly understanding it to make sure things were going to be fine for his wife and child, then shit happened and he had to live with things getting out of his control in a very bad way.
>>569645While it's true the US spends the most on military, you've got to factor in that it's a big industrious nation. To know who's really looking for a fight, You have to look at the percentage of the GDP is spent on the military, because in that regard the US isn't that high and has actually been dropping.
And we're archived. Night, everyone- or morning, for everyone else.
Oh crap, I just realized. With the revelation that her father and others tried playing god with Tsuki's life/fate, we now know that Tsuki has some serious common ground between her and Gaara, and all the other Jinchuriki for that matter. The whole jinchuriki thing puts this in perspective actually. Yoru isn't some heartless aberration in this universe: sane, often caring and compassionate, parents seem to be doing outrageous, morally suspect things with their children all in the name of strengthening their homelands military power. Huh. The accepted norm for morality seems to be somewhat different in Narutoverse. At least Yoru had the decency to feel bad about it. Lets definitely not write him, or anyone for that matter, off as "the bad guys" just yet.Jesus, the more you look around, the more evidence of "War is hell" you can find. It seems to be a major theme of the series. No wonder Kaguya wanted peace at any cost. I still don't condone her methods but damn if she wasn't trying. Her heart very well might have been in the right place.
I think the main issue with the Anti-Uchiha stuff that a lot of characters seem to have built into them is that QM's always fuck it upLike we are never going to become anti uchiha because Wargle never showe us all the fuck ups they do, they are mentally ill and designed to crack and go insane and hatefilled, Danzo has seen time and time again good shinobi succumb to the stress involved with the job and crack and BECAUSE they are Uchiha when they crack they start killing allies, harbouring grudges that make no sense. We havent been exposed to the frustration of trusting Uchihas only for them to fuck us over again and again and again.Thats why people hate them, all the chances in the world mean squat when something in your brain forces you to be filled with hate.
>>569900Tsuki is in a somewhat odd place. We're in that spot where original naruto was in that we can mostly relate to alot of characters due to shared experiences while still not being treated like dirt.
>>569829I'd still blame dad ultimatly, because he didn't tell Minato about the experiment with Orochi and his wife. Minato is too soft not to have sent help which might have allowed her to live.
>>569906>Might>Definitely broke laws that would get him and his wife executed for them doing it intentionally, and their property scavenged for the villageIs it really worth the 20% of having a headless mom corpse over a mom that died in childbirth anon?It got one of the SANIN, the guys that can basically do no wrong in the village's eyes exiled when it came out he did that sort of thing.
>>569914The villages are little bitches. If they knew Orochimaru could grow them Stellar Spamming ninja they'd have denied him in public then begged for more behind closed doors. Fuck Minato and his way of ruling.
>>569914Executed how?Its not like Asa and Yoru were out helping to abduct konoha ninjas off the streets.
>>569923>Executed how?Executed.And it's still illegal.
>>569906>>569914The hard liners would not have let him go easy I suspect. As far as I understand, the Hokage isn't just a tyrant who can do as he pleases, he is just a fairly large cog in the machine of the nation. It's all speculation, but I am willing to give the characters involved (who are supposed to be pretty intelligent individuals) the benefit of the doubt: if they didn't do something, it was probably because they felt like they couldn't or shouldn't and had good reason for it.
>>569924>>569923Orochimaru was doing some reaaallly dark stuff. Ever hear of accessory after the fact?Yoru and Danzo and even Asa would have been cast in a very suspect light and probably punished severely for even slightly conspiring with Orochimaru.
>>569928Yes, i'd have expected punishment. Not execution. From what we know, Asa and Yoru were just involved in volunteering for the experiment. So just party to the unethical experiment. There has been no indication that they were involved in the abductions of konoha nins and so execution would have been abit much. Also Danzo was already stripped of his powers. I'm actually surprised Yoru seemingly made it out without much damage.
>>569547Interesting that Jiraiya also traveled the world and saw what a crapsack it is but it motivated him and strengthened his resolve instead.
>>569932Regardless it would have at least involved a lengthy prison sentence, and assuming they didn't put the mother and fetus down "to be on the safe side".Then at the very least Norihime Industries would've been completely nationalized if it was left standing at all. When dealing with stuff like that, anybody who wasn't our parents probably would have expected a weapon and/or monster.
So should we tell Itachi about stellar release so he can help us train in it?
>>569932>>569941Yea, what I was getting at was that the consequences were dire enough to make keeping it a secret worthwhile, regardless of what they were.I mean, like I said: Yoru and Danzo are not stupid people. They must have had good reason to keep it secret.
>>568826Just woke up. I'm slightly mad at the result of this vote.
>>569781FUCK THIS SHIT.
>>569781>>569966Yea, makes me want to steer Tsuki towards being more circumspect and contemplative and not just plain depressed and resentful. She could use some perspective. Her father did more than just give her some spartan upbringing to groom her for being a living weapon, she was showered with love and opportunity and raised to be basically a decent well rounded person who happens to be inherently good at being a ninja should she so desire. He displayed every intention of being supportive of her choices and didn't just coerce her into being a ninja. That was HER idea. If you want to make the argument that she was led by the nose and manipulated into that, fine. Free will is a flawed idea anyway, it's just probably worth believing in regardless.
Wargle please start showing off the Uchiha mental illness stuff, it's literally the whole reason there have been so many wars between them and other groups. Neglecting it is removing a whole side to the story. It's like telling a story about how a childs mother is cold and resentful of your kind and wonderful grandfather, completely neglecting and not mentioning the fact that he raped and abused her all her childhood. There are reasons why the Uchiha as a group are not trusted and you just wont let us decide what we think or ourselves because you jst dont show it. Itachi and Shisui where exceptions to their genes and I would argue Sasuke only really changed his ways when he acquired the Rinnegan which I think negated the crazy shit in his genes.
>>569978...have you read us meeting Itachi's dad or talking to Shisui?
>>569983Eh with 38 threads thats only a tiny amount of exposureIn the past 2 threads alone our fathers shown more of a spark for evil, pragmatic leaned towards evil but still.
>>569901>>569978>>569989Hows about you realize this isn't the exact same canon and that things may work slightly differently. The illness is still there, but it looks like they have it under control when around us.
>>569992Okay i'll concede that however it's an easy excuse.Just pointing stuff out that wargle may not have been actually thinking about, I know from quest running its impossible to think of everything you just kind of do whats required with some broad ideas around them and it's not until players bring stuff up that you fill in the gaps.
>>569996>>569978Reminder that the primary mind behind the "Uchiha just have brain problems" theory was That "I wasn't oppressing the Uchiha, but hypothetically if I was they totally deserved it" Senju. NOT THE MOST RELIABLE SOURCE.
>>570042exactly. IN TOBIRAMA WE TRUST
>>570054Tobirama was a genius in every respect
>>570077Only because Orichimaru didn't get the hat.
>>570087Im a beliver of the ends always justify the means, those who say otherwise are just those who were too cowardly to do what has to be done, to scared to do the hardest things.
>>570094I'm also a believer in the ends justifying the means, but also that anyone saying that the ends justify the means, is a sadist, lazy asshole, moron, or otherwise inherently untrustworthy.
>>570124I'd more say they are single minded. Only the Goal matters, which depending on your view is all that matters. It's down to what you think, whats more important, the individual or the whole. Personally I believe the greater whole.
>>569996>>569989>>569978Anon, we've touched upon the curse of hatred several times. Hiruzen even mentioned it by name. The political situation in Konoa currently is quite different than in canon- the Uchiha were not exiled, and the potential for the coup was talked through, rather than "Remove Uchiha'd".At this point in canon Sasuke was just the grumpy kid on the team, with the crazy brother. Nothing about multigenerational curses or predistination towards evil. I love you anon, but I would suggest going back and reading some of the sections the anons mentioned.
>>570184But when we fight Sasuke during the tournament will we be able to yell at him, "I FUCKED YOUR BROTHER LAST NIGHT!"
>>570217Lets not. Also its actually debatable how much tsuki knows about birds and bees considering she hasn't noticed her stella ninjitsu names.
Wew that was a good read. Tsuki should put makeup on Itachi while he sleeps to cover up his tear troughs.
Eurofriend here like always coming late to give you his two cents nobody cares about.I wanted to go on a trip with father. I really wanted to.
>>572259Some other time, perhaps, friend.
>>572259Next time ideally, we just have the exams looming.
Newfag here. Finished up with the archives. So just some stuff I noticed>itachi is best sensei>gaara is best husbando>Phoenix is best sage>stellar release is op>orochimaru needs killAlso just a suggestion for future training.Let's use the cloning technique as many times as possible with afterglow, then have all of the clones plus us fight each other until we ko.This should increase a whole load of shit especially stamina and fighting skills. Just a suggestion.
>>572520>>573214I just remembered there was a timeskip in the manga after the exams. I thought shit would hit the fan way quicker and we've just let our chance slip.I am marginally happy about that.>>574192>gaara is best husbandothat's not how you spell shino
>>574192I dunno, I'm really curious if Lunar Sage with the bunnies is possible.
>>574358It's probably shit anyways. Plus kaguya is bad news. Wouldn't hurt to be on cordial terms tho.
>>574358Would probably be a big Genjutsu bonus, which is the Jutsu style we are the least about.
>>574358It is.It'll be like a taijutsu focused playboy bunny outfit.
>>574525That just makes me want it more. This post just undid all the opposition convincing me otherwise.
>>574541We still need to talk things out and get some reasonable answers from the rabbits before we do it.
>>574525That makes me like it less because after all our Taijutsu training we are still meh at it. The whole point of the Swords is to use them to boost Ninjutsu anyways.
>>574597Can we do stellar weapon channelling? Ninja lightsabers confirmed.
>>574680Oh shit and we can emit the chakra out of the weapons if we miss, bassicly making us unstopable in weapon combat.
>>574680Hopefully it will do just that with the Kiba swords. As for general gear, we did bring back a samurai's chakra conducting sword, and something could be developed from that, though I think that all natures can be applied to regular weapons on some level. There have bee shinobi throwing electrified kunais or setting shuriken on fire and stuff like that.
>>574680If we learn chakra scalpel then we can do stellar blades without hurting ourselves
>>574709>>574792Things to learn in no real order:Anti sharingan basicsKenjutsu TrainingChakra ScalpelI figure we still want to overall improve our stats too, but this is just for specific things.
>>574799>>574792Bad anons, chakra scalpel isn't something you just pick up, Tsunade herself was surprised and impressed by Kabuto being able to use it in a fight. He's literally the only person who EVER mastered it as a weapon, and that's when he was at the level of rewiring his entire nervous system in seconds, automatically regenerating his internal organs, bringing the dead back to life and surgically altering them to be his clones, and fusing multiple people's DNA into himself on the fly. Instead, we should pick up chakra channeling/shape manipulation. Way simpler, and does everything you want the chakra scalpel to do but way easier and quicker to learn. You don't need to perfom in-combat brain surgery, you just want to stab people with elemental chakra. Think Asuma or Sasuke, not Kabuto.
>>574828It is a wish list.
>>574828Considering eagle said chakra scalpel would let us do that stuff without injury I'll stick with what I know will let us figure out how to do that. Even if it's just using it to apply stellar to our taijustu/kenjustu without burning ourselves with it
>>574880>>574859But you don't actually want it. A wish list is a list of things you wish for, not random shit you don't want or need. You think you want Chakra Scalpels but you don't really, I'm correcting your opinion. Here's my wishlist as an example: >chakra shaping/channelinglightsabers>stellar shunshinwarp speed>a suit of that chakra-proof armorif it can handle stellar we could spam aoes without worrying about vaporising ourselves. If there's a problem with chakra shaping, some of the gloves could help.>shinju-assisted chakra stealing/sensingINFINITE POWER

Luckily the new brainwashing camps are wonderful places with great food and friendly teachers. I am sure Comrade Wargle will enjoy his stay and come back to us the man he is supposed to be.
>>576971He went to the appeal thing and it told him, "you are not banned."
