What is this Quest?HHBQ is a Quest that previously was hosted on /tg/ before the board change. It's inspired by tokusatsu and henshin/sentai heroes such as Kamen Rider and the Wonderful 101. THE STORY SO FAR:Yukari, known as Vanquish, is a hero working in the city of Arcadia to bring peace and hopefully join the hero labor union-slash-superteam, the Peacekeeper's Union. However, there seem to be darker leanings to the city, the Union itself, and even cosmic forces vying for power amongst it's citizens.Previous threads can be read at: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Hot-Blooded%20Henshin%20Hero%20Quest All future quests will be archived at the /qst/ archive, and both links will be in every thread.LAST TIME:Hurricane lead us to the underground fight club lurking beneath Arcadia, where rejects of the Peacekeeper's congregate to duke it out over big bets and personal disputes. Here is where we might just get the information we need to take down the Union.--->cont.
In order to try to get contact with the big wigs running the club, get yourself a fight for the night!
>>44321Hey QM, how you feel about /qst/ being our new hang out place?
>>44321>HHBQ is a Quest that previously was hosted on /tg/ before the board change. But there wasn't a board change. You could still run this on /tg/ and be fine.
IS IT TIME FOR SHONEN SPIRIT?
>>44383Sup Shonen, how you been?
>>44393Mostly jumping between /tg/ and this board. And wondering when crusty jones is going to come back.
>>44321"I see, I see." The gatekeeper says. He smacks a cobbled-together button on the turnstile, sucking the rotating bars inside to grant you entry. "The ledger-guy will take your name, just down the tunnel. Don't make it as stupid as your normal name, okay?"You roll your eyes. He didn't understand just how badass Vanquish was for a name. You and Makoto walk down the tunnels, some torches illuminating the musty light of the underground. Your hand traces the walls as spraypainted arrows lead you to a spindly man with glasses hunched over a ledger. Must be your guy."Hello? I'm registering." You mention to him, coughing to emphasize your presence when he doesn't look up."Name and rate your strength from one to ten. I don't care if you lie about either." he says, not looking up."Erm...">What will our 'Underground' moniker be?>>44352I mean us changing over to here. I'm doing this for sake of future organization.
>>44447Phoenix and 7 I guess?
>>44447>>What will our 'Underground' moniker be?Phoenix Fury. In honor of Kung Fury
>>44447>I mean us changing over to here. Why? This board is gonna die in a week.
>>44465And I say we at least an 8 maybe a 9 with avatar powers going on
>>44465I agree with this notion. Also good evening MQM, how goes it?
>>44522Ay, American. How are you dealing with this shit board?
>>44522Thanks American, how you been man>>44552This board isnt all that bad, there is atleast 3 quests are good
>>44552Doin' fine. I haven't noticed anything really all that out of place with this board save for the people making joke quests for the sake of shitposting.
>>44463>>44465"Phoenix! Er, Fury! Phoenix Fury! And a 7!" You say, probably underscoring yourself, you figure. These guys are probably the poor saps stuck with elongating arms and stone skin and the like. Nothing so fortunate as you.The ledger-taker has no visible reaction, scribbling it down in cursive with '7' marked beside it. "Go down the stairs and enter the lone cage. We'll start the snitch test.""Snitch test?" you parrot."Oh, wonderful, she can hear. Move along." He shoos you out. Already this place feels like high school all over again, but with less stuttering and sweat and more rudeness. You leave Makoto up at the stairs for her to watch down on you, entering a circular steel cage and closing the door behind you, for what you assume is this snitch test. The lights black out immediately and you can only hear a strong, rasping voice call to you. It at the same time sounds vulnerable, and like it belongs to someone who could easily kill you."Phoenix Fury, eh? Tough one! Most guys sound like they just want to be part of prison gangs, but you're still holding onto that flame of bein' a hero...fun stuff. Well, we're gonna be putting you against some tough shit for your first fight here in the snitch test. You ready?""Yes!" You call out firmly."Good, cause I wasn't gonna wait until you were! Boys, let em' in!"At first, you only hear the scuffling on the gravel, but then, the wind shifts in your face and you're knocked back, head hitting the bars. Someone chuckles lightly, and you can vaguely see the outline of them flapping their hand tauntingly.A fight in the dark, it'd seem.>Fight blind--seems to be how they want this to go and I don't want to rock the boat.>Show off my Avatar powers immediately and let them know what I've got.>Write-in.>>44470Honestly, I hate having to change, but if this IS a real new board like how /aco/ somehow hasn't died yet, I wanted to be on top of things.>>44522Fine enough. Finals next week but I'm not sweating it.
>>44656>>Fight blind--seems to be how they want this to go and I don't want to rock the boat.Don't want to go all out.
>>44656>>Fight blind--seems to be how they want this to go and I don't want to rock the boat.
>>44656>>Fight blind--seems to be how they want this to go and I don't want to rock the boat.Rules of fighting 101: Going all out at the start is a sure fire way to lose in the end
>>44656>Honestly, I hate having to change, but if this IS a real new board like how /aco/ somehow hasn't died yet, I wanted to be on top of things. Then you should've just waited till they made you move. Well whatever, have fun guys, that's what matters the most.
>>44656>>>Fight blind--seems to be how they want this to go and I don't want to rock the boat.We just gotta use our ears to try and judge whose coming from where.
>>44677>>44707>>44717You immediately duck down low, two swishes of wind confirming that a swing was coming your way. Quick as you descended, you rise right up back with an uppercut to the left, but you hit nothing. It starts to dawn on you that these guys are far superior than you at fighting in the dark like this.Sensing something coming from behind, you whip around to take the brunt of the blow in the chest, only to slam forward and grapple him, hefting him overhead for a sort of backwards piledriver. For good measure, you locate his leg and give a good educated guess as to where the family jewels are, throwing a punch to keep him out of the rest of the fight. His muffle of pain seems to alert his blind brethren to your presence, as they tackle atop you to smother you, hands wildly pummeling down on you. You struggle and try to get to your feet, but it's of no use. You can feel your ears starting to burn, along with the rest of your in your clothes. The power's just burning--literally--to be used. You pant as sweat starts to run along your body, your punches slowing against the mooks on top of you.>Just let go--let the power out.>Resist it and just hit harder!>Write-in.
>>44855>>Resist it and just hit harder!Keep attacking faster and harder!
>>44855>>Resist it and just hit harder!
>>44855>Resist it and just hit harder!
>>44871>>44879You bury that flame deep inside you. You're not going to use the Phoenix, you're going to use the Yukari....okay that sounded cooler in your internal monologue than when it's typed out.You grit your teeth, pushing your hands against the ground, using every single tendon, every muscle and bone in your body with all the force they can, getting your body to rise. The stragglers try to force you down, hands desperate to claw your forearm, but you grab one by the wrist, twisting it backwards and throwing a fist twice into his stomach and throwing him overhead. The last of the three punches you straight across the cheek. You hop back, breathing in deep through your nose. One step on the stone. Two steps. He's moving towards you. Getting into a fighting stance, you roll your shoulder back, reeling your fist and throwing it forward at the right moment.A *CRACK* resounds through the room, as you hear a grunt and skidding across the floor, with another sound of impact from the bars. Nice, a clean, what, fifteen feet you sent him?The lights turn back on and your eyes go straight up to where the voice came from--before widening in shock."Well, never figured that's what you looked like under there, Vanquish."From the installed catwalks above, Sam Whittaker gestures lightly at you, before taking a drink from his water bottle."Small world. Come along, we'll get you situated."A rusty ladder slides down from the catwalks down into the cage, and with no words forming in your mouth, you simply climb up to meet the unexpected ringmaster."How the hell...you? Of all people? Doesn't your son want to be a Peacekeeper?"Sam sighs and pockets his water bottle, leaning against the guardrail and crossing his arms."Yeah, he doesn't know about all this. All I know is he's sure as hell not coming here if they end up firing him.""Firing...so they did accept him."Sam nods and gestures for you to follow him across the catwalks."Let's walk and talk, 'Phoenix Fury.'">What do we want to ask Sam?
>>45070>>What do we want to ask Sam?Ask if he knows about the current corruption within the Peacekeepers
>>45070"So what made you get involved in all this?"
>>45150"Crowd control. You wonder why we don't have more people like you beating the shit out of each other, let alone civilians, on the streets up top? This little operation here." He taps on the guardrail as he walks."Turns out if they have a 'healthy' place to let out the rage, well, it works out better. We never /really/ encourage any killing, but sometimes a guy goes too far...it ain't pretty. But, for every person who accidentally dies in the ring here, we've saved a hundred non-powered civilians."You glance down from the catwalks, seeing dim illumination reveal a series of other cages. Individuals in all sorts of cobbled together fighting gear are going head to head, in brutal fashions. Punching the opponent and then forming a stone wall to shove them back, hurling them repeatedly against the cage, and worse. You decide to avert your gaze."But you...don't have powers, right? How the hell does everyone here not just fry you?" you ask."Turns out that folks are perfectly civil towards a smoothly-run operation. We've been a well-oiled machine for quite some time.">>45111"Oh, who doesn't know? It's not about who knows about it, it's about who talks about it, and no one's going to. But all the worry I have about my son holing up with those assholes...thinks it's gonna 'redeem' him, like my son needs fucking redeeming. Pardon my French.">Anything else?>Move on.
>>45257"So the leash is that tight? Think you got any spies from the peacekeepers sulking around here?"
>>45257>Anything else?I MISSED THE LAST ONE! NOOO!
>>45331Oh there you are, how's the leg doing?>>45257"So I am guessing you got some kind of back up plan incase someone with real powers comes to this pit"
>>45308"If we figure out anyone is snitching on us after that initial test, I always personally make sure to rig their matches against Grinder--they usually surrender and realize they should skip town. Heh, always puts them for a loop.""Grinder being?""The guy who's probably gonna beat the shit out of you if you make it far enough. But hey, it's a prestigious few who get the shit beaten out of them! You guys could make a club, really.""Not helping, Sam.">Further questions?
>>45349It's doing a lot better, it's not as bad as I thought it was, and the cast will be off in a couple weeks. Apparently it was only a fracture or something like that. Onee-sama, notice me!
>>45356I say we move on now.
>>45349"Real powers? We got a guy with a buzzsaw for a hand, a guy who can shrink and get in your mouth and then blow you up by going back to normal size, and a guy who can make you forget how to breathe. If Piece-a-shit Supreme and his cronies want to shut us down, they have every right to try. Here we are."The catwalk finally ends, leading into an office door of sorts. You can see through the shuttered window there's a desk with a few bits of memorabilia and folders strewn about. Following him inside, you're treating to a cozy little room. The lavish carpet, fireplace, and smooth wood of all the furniture make you feel like you're living in a Christmas card, almost."Sit down, sit down. I'm not gonna throw you right into the fights just yet. I know you've been doing some things to fight back against those Peacekeeper's so I might be able to point you in the right direction for whatever it is you're looking for."You obey him, taking a seat in the chair right across his desk."What can I do you for?""Well...the hero I came in with? Hurricane? She--""That's a girl?" He says incredulously, hand jerking as he's pouring his water into a glass."...She directed me here, saying that someone here might know a thing or two about someone who killed the, erm...first Hurricane."He strokes his chin before taking a measured sip from the glass. "So I was right. There were two of em'. What's that got to do with the Peacekeeper's though?""I haven't mentioned it to her, but I think...I think if we can find the guy who did it, whether he's here or elsewhere, we can get him to testify that they made him kill the first Hurricane, and get some kind of media coverage.""Noble plan--only problem is I don't know shit about his death. And no one here is gonna talk unless you're giving em' ass, grass, or cash. Tell you what though, we do have a loose-lips guy on our hands who collects info like it's crack. Name's Billy the Squid--you'll uh, see why when you meet him. When you're done talking to him, I'll try and see if I can nudge your matches so you're not wasting any time.""Thank you so much sir. Where will I find this, er...""Vending machines, by Cage 9. Go back across the catwalks and just follow the cages by number."You nod and shake his hand as you walk out, saluting before you close the door. Walking past all the cages above, you finally make it back to Makoto, more than a little tired from working your legs that much.>Tell her about your plans here.>Leave it be and meet the Squid.>Write-in.
>>45523>>Tell her about your plans here.Lying to her is a bad idea ya
>>45523>Tell her about your plans here. Onee-sama! Notice me!Where's Onii-chan at?
>>45635He runs his own Quest every Friday due to college
>>45523>>Tell her about your plans here.
>>45705Wait a minute. Did I miss his quest too?NOOOOO!
>>45801YOU WERE LATE IMOUTO. YOU WERE ALWAYS TOO LATE.
>>45706>>45635>>45615"Makoto, by the by, I remember you didn't have a strict plan for taking down the Peacekeeper's with whatever information we got here. Right?"She nods. "Yeah! But you figured something out I bet, huh?""I did, but...you might not like it. I think we...might need to work with whoever killed your brother."You can't see her expression, but you know her face just fell."...what do you mean?" It's taking all of her being to stay composed."If the information you got is true, and he was forced to do it by the Peacekeeper's as a hazing ritual, we can have him testify that and bring them down...at the expense of him going into witness protection. Meaning...""He may never face jailtime." She finishes. Makoto sighs and glances at the ground, scuffing her boot and kicking the dust. In no short order, she looks back up, energy returning to her voice."I think my brother would prefer I catch the big fish than let revenge cloud my judgment. It's...a pretty good plan, Yukari." She says. "Thanks for being upfront."You nod and gesture her along to walk with you to the ninth cage, informing her along the way of the man you're supposed to meet."Still," you start, "I don't get why a guy would make his streetname something as ridiculous as Billy the Squid. What the fuck even--"She pulls you back and tilts your chin up to look at the odd fellow leaning up against the Pepsi machine, and you think you understand why.A wriggling red tentacle slithers from the man's sleeve and slides it's way up the change return, feeling around before coming back down with suckers-full of silver coins which he then pockets. His head is that of a normal humans, but with the bulging alien eyes of, you guessed it, a squid."Hoo boy." You start, before walking over. "Uh, hi there, I'm Phoenix Fury, new Fighter--""Nah. Nuh uh. Not telling you. Not without payment." He blurts, crossing his human arm and his tentacle one over his chest."What? I just wanted to talk about--""M-mm. I don't talk without caffeine. Get me a Mountain Dew if you want these lips to sing." he says. You roll your eyes, knowing he's trying to play you for a fool. And yet...he's your only shot on information. You sigh and bend over, sliding in coins and punch in for the drink, handing it over once deposited."Good, good. You doin' that? Loyal and stupid. Good combination. Whatcha want, kid?">What's on our minds for this...fellow?
>>45918>>What's on our minds for this...fellow?First off, what kind of parents he had to be like that. . .Aside that ask him about the first Hurricane and any info relating to the peace keepers
>>45957Backing this. I imagine this guy looking like octo-dad
>>45957"Who the hell gave birth to a guy like you?"He blinks off-beat, in a one-two fashion with his bizarre eyes. "Nunya business. My father was a very accepting man of women with genetic mutations. He was less accepting of my criminal activities. Got a not shitty question?"You sigh. "Yeah, yeah. Hurricane Vanguard. He was killed by someone who attends this fight club. I want to know who.""That's a big question. A big question that probably shouldn't get answered. What do you want with that info?""I'm the one asking questions. Maybe I want to play detective. What did you say before? 'Nunya business?'""Fair enough. I don't got the answer to that, but I got the answer to the guy who's got that answer.""What.""I know the guy who does know, is what I'm saying. There's a guy who fights here called Sigmund, it's uh, kind of a funny pun with his power. Anyways, he used to do a lot of spying before he came here, but Whittaker's made him swear up and down that he doesn't rat on any of us here and that he's loyal.""Go on." "Point is, he overheard who had to take that hit--but he's got a posse, and a deal with Whittaker that he doesn't fight newbies. You're gonna have to go up the proverbial ladder to get to him, alright?"You rub your temples--even /more/ delays to this problem. Wonderful."Thanks for the help. I'll put a good word in for you with Whittaker." You say, walking back over to Makoto, who's turned away and visibly shuddering."S-So...grody...looking..." She mutters. You hold tighter for comfort and lead her up to the catwalks to get over to Whittaker's office, poking both your heads in."What do you need?">You need to line me up to fight Sigmund. Now.>Write-in.
>>46241>GIIIIIIIIIIIRL YOU WANT THIS DICK?
>>46241>You need to line me up to fight Sigmund. Now.
>>46241>>You need to line me up to fight Sigmund. Now.Oh my we are going to fight a legend eh?
by the way the joke with sigmund is he's the guy that shrinks
>>46241>>You need to line me up to fight Sigmund. Now.
>>46291Puns kill the American
>>46262>>46280>>46388"You need to line me up to fight Sigmund. Now." "Sigmund? Oh, gee...he's gonna be a deep one to go for, but I suppose I can line you up. But be forewarned, this is gonna be a lot harder than you think. I have to put you up against at least Grinder first--the aforementioned man with a buzzsaw hand. Hope you don't mind a tough fight."He sighs and starts writing down in his folder. You nod."Anything. I just hope you're okay with me doing it." You say."Fine with it? I couldn't care less, but I also am gonna worry about you doing stupid shit to yourself. You'll go against him tomorrow, for now, find your way to the beds. Hurricane II, uh...too."You nod once more, closing the door and saying a thank you as you walk out.As you glance down to the cages below, looking at the superpowered gladiators duking it out, you can only hope that this crazy lead of yours may just lead to getting justice for all of Arcadia. You bump past someone else walking for the office, but pay him no mind.If only you had, finally seeing the face of the disgraced dojo heir who made you his obsession. The yellow bandana with a bloody crescent adorning it, the strong scarf flowing behind him with no wind, and a confident smirk as he passed the two of you by.The fight club went from having no Avatars in the running to two in one day.>END OF CHAPTER 11>real henshin hours are go
>>46592>Crescent MoonLET'S FUCKING GO.
>>46592Can I violently hurt you for puns?
>>46627Only if you never want Ivory to be happy.

>>46670badbut i want to be a good girl and follow the rules after i got tempbanned for posting bad stuff on a blueboard like a dumbo
>>46642Okay that's fine
>>46592This was fun, Onee-sama! I'd stick around, but I'm going to watch an anime I've been meaning to see.>>46684Onee-sama! What did you do?
>>46712i posted a nude art of illaoi from league of legends on the general on /vg/

>>46781I am not a smart woman.
>>46749Asides that noise, any future plans here on /qst/?
>>46812Well, we're just starting the second of four 'parts' I have planned for this quest now. It can definitely go longer than that, but that's as far as I've currently got.As for future quests period I may do, I dunno. No ideas exactly spring out to me.
>>46851>No ideasIf you get one, I expect there to be a chubby girl there.
>>46954fuck off m8

>>47064Ivory moon could even have his own spin off quest along with the other 2 avatars to see how they developed before the fated showdown
>>47108That could actually be pretty great. Though I imagine Paragon Supreme's spinoff would be filled with self-loathing
>>47150I am planning on creating a Quest soon, just gotta work on the final small details
>>47203What does this quest entail?
>>47308Well I plan on making it kinda like this but more "Your actions are gonna make you hated by a side" So its at the mercy of the posters
>>47325Hm, what kind of sides particularly? The people and the media? Kinda like Spiderman where the newspapers won't stop shitting on him for 5 minutes?
>>47375I guess you can say that, I just dont want to get into it before I start the quest. Just hope I can get a fan base like MQM does
>>47445Fair enough. I look forward to it.
>>47455Also gotta make a twitter to keep everyone posted on the next thread
>>47482Right Right, be sure to drop that stuff when you get to it. I love me some Super Hero quests (that doesn't devolve to the heroes fighting each other every 5 minutes)
>>47507What about superheroes fighting in bed?
>>47530Um...well...I mean, so long as our super hero waifu is hot I guess?
>>47543But what if you're not in the superhero sex harem? What if you're the third or fourth or fifth wheel?
>>47507We will have to see
>>47543make her curvy
>>47562I guess if all parties are consenting...>>47579Perhaps some slight chub would be okay.
>>47562>>47579>>47624We will see if the posters dont destroy everything along the way
As for superhero sex harem. . .I can't make promises but will try to make enough so american and do his thing
>>47652Hey don't feel pressured to make a harem route just because of lil' ol' me.
>>47690Well you DO make great stories also you guys will probably be the only ones there until I can get other people following
>>47701Daw shucks thanks Anon
