It's the zombie apocalypse and you're in a bit of a situation after a close escape from a pack of fast mutant zombies. You are in the fifth and top floor of an apartment building. Your best friend Jimbo is badly injured and immobile. Another friend is making the dangerous journey to find help. They will return in five days. You must defend this location, and Jimbo during that time. This is a location you prepared for such an event, and as such contains some simple tools, a days worth of food and water, and (pick three)> Sufficient Water for the week> Sufficient Food for the week> A large quantity of raw materials such as boards, pipes, metal sheeting, nails and duct tape> High quality general purpose tools such as saws, wrenches, hammers, even a welding torch> A high quality weapon that you're well trained in (specify)> A supply of ammunition for one weapon, enough to last the week> Write in

>>4310143>> A high quality weapon that you're well trained inClaymore > Write inSuit of armor.> Sufficient Water for the week
You take stock of your situation. There's an old water tower on top of the building that has more than enough water to last you and Jimbo the week, and you rigged a few pipes and a tap together to get the water into your safe room at the top of the building. You check the tap and find the water lukewarm, but clean. You move on from the water tap and nudge aside a cheap bookcase that hides a secret alcove in the wall. Inside is one of your prized possessions, a sturdy five pound Scottish claymore that you pried out of the twice dead hands of a monstrous brute of a zombie. It took weeks of practice to master the massive blade, but it was razor sharp and damn good at turning zombies into giblets. Next to the blade was a full suit of what you called apocalypse plate. Cobbled together from tough leather, kevlar and carefully placed metal plates, no ordinary zombie is going to be able to touch you in this. The only way zombies are killing you with this is through sheer exhaustion. You figure you could get about three things done before the first zombies find the trail of blood Jimbo left when you hauled him up here. You could scavenge at a nearby location to fill in gaps in your supplies, fortify the building, build traps, or maybe think of something clever. >Dismantle parts of the apartment complex for suppliesYou start your way through the building with crowbar, hammer, and hacksaw in hand. You've got two primary goals in mind, get this place secured and find some materials to work with for the future. To that end you start at the top of building and work your way through the apartments, popping doors from their hinges, checking closets for home repair kits, taking care to shut and lock any windows you find, zombies don't fly, that you know of, but best not to take chances. Partway through the third floor you find a promising location. A stack of motorcycle magazines sits by the door, and the entire apartment looks like a homage to life on a fast bike. > Kick the door aside and prepare to claymore it into oblivion (roll d100 + 30) > 93 You ready your claymore, check your armor and kick the door aside. The door bursts open a moment later and a gaunt form inside recoils from the sudden light. You see a glimpse of a biker jacket, feral eyes and claws, then it pounces. Time slows down for a moment, and you calmly take a step back and swing broadly, cleaving an arm and head off in one smooth motion. The body hits the ground with a thump, a thick black ooze creeping out. You study the corpse for a moment, noting the elongated arms, legs and fingers. Long curved claws extend where the nails would be on a normal human. No match for your armor, but given a chance it'd probably rip your eyes out. Inside the closet is a compact toolkit with a wide assortment of useful tools.> Basic Tools Upgraded To Average Tools!>Fortify the building(board up windows)You make your way down the remainder of the apartment building, throwing supplies down the stairwell as you go, taking advantage of your new tools to grab some extra materials. You get a collection of useful materials down to the first floor. A few shamblers are milling about the lobby, but you decapitate each one with a quick straightforward strike. You move through the lobby and hammer your scavenged doors over the windows, then wedge some lumber under the doors.> Scavenge a nearby location (anywhere we can get food)You recall some scattered memories about the surrounding areas, in particular food. There's a few choices you can think of.> A shopping center of restaurants> An intersection with four convenience stores> A grocery store

As you're preparing to head out to scavenge some food a thought occurs to you. You quickly check the mutant zombie you decapitated upstairs and find a set of keys in her jacket pocket. Sure enough, you actually find a corresponding hot rod motorcycle sitting on the street next to the apartment. > Use the motorcycle. > An intersection with four convenience stores> Use the motorcycle. It'll be fast, but loud as hell and you're bound to attract trouble. Still the time saved will result in more supplies. You eye the motorcycle, bouncing the keys in a gloved hand. It'd be loud and dangerous, god only knew what kind of trouble you might attract with this thing. Still, it'd be the fastest you'd gotten around since this mess started...You swing a leg over the metal steed, insert the key and it roars to life. Every shambler visible on the streets jerk, rotting eyes locking onto you. There's a pregnant pause, then the air around you filled with the moaning howl of the undead. Over a dozen undead spilled abruptly from the broken windows of nearby buildings, and you see more twitch and rise in a nearby alley. Time to go.You gun the engine and shoot down the street, weaving through wrecked vehicles and around heaps of bodies too desciated and mangled to rise from the dead. You're headed toward a group of four convenience stores clustered around an intersection. With any luck you'll be able to snag enough non-perishables to last you the week. A few minutes from the intersection you start to hear the first gunshots in the distance. Rival gangs fighting it out in the city? Hopefully it would draw off the zeds from where you were headed. You turn a corner and get your first good look at your destination, just as another series of gunshots ring out.Fuck. Visible on the rooftops of the two nearest stores were two groups of people, guns blazing. A god damn massive horde of zombies thronged the streets beneath them, completely blocking up the road. > Circle the block and come from a different directionYou glance backward, sure enough a horde easily the size of the one around the stores is coming up behind you. You hammer the throttle and shoot away, circling the block, weaving through debris until you're on the fringes of the intersection. The rooftop fighters spot you, but seem preoccupied with murdering each other instead. You peer closer, they seem to be wearing nothing but belts and body paint, sporting pistols and rifles. Psychopaths, survivors broken by the madness of the end days. Maybe a cult, suffering a bloody schism. You park the bike and duck through a broken window, scouring the shelves for anything that might have been left behind. There's a few dinged up cans of soda, some smashed but intact chips, and a lucky fistful of candy that had fallen between two shelves. Shitty nutrition, but calories were what you needed for the next few days. Still, you'd hoped for more, the belt cultists must have ransacked this place already. + 2 Days of Food, 3 Days TotalThe sounds of gunfire continue from outside, a mixed blessing. Every zombie in the area was probably thirty feet away, trying to claw up those rooftops. You duck across the street and find the next store scavenged clean. If you want any more food you're going to have to get from the crazies.> Call it for the day, head to base and try to get some sleep> Climb a fire escape on the right hand building and surprise attack the cultists> Try to talk to the cultists (Left building or Right building)> Write in

You secure your supplies and shoot across the streets, leaving the cultists to their war. With any luck you've just lured a lot of zeds away from your safehouse. The sun is setting and you're still alive. That's a win. You stash the motorcycle in an alleyway a short distance from the safehouse and approach on foot. You slip back in, wedge the doors shut and head upstairs. The zeds rile up at night, whatever fragments of humanity might rest inside falling into a fitful slumber, prompting the shambling massives to snarl and claw, following any scent or trail or human they can find. Hopefully the fortifications hold until sunrise, when they'll become more passive. You check in on Jimbo, laying unconsious, pale, but alive on an old mattress. Hang in there buddy. You slip a drink of water down his throat, then take one for yourself. Darkness is falling quickly. You turn on a couple led lanterns, hanging one above Jimbo and the other from your belt where it casts the world into stark contrasting stripes of light and shadow. Two doors down you turn off the lamp and slip out onto a balcony. The streets are eerily empty and if you focus you can hear the occasional echoing gunshot still. Maybe in the morning you can try to scavenge the corpses of those idiots. In the dim light of the setting sun you see several...things scuttle up the wall of the building across the street. You flinch backwards and retreat to the safe room, shutting doors behind you. On the roof of the building opposite something fleshy and rotten is growing, like a fetid tumor atop the building's scalp. Between that and the climbers last night you're starting to feel targeted, as though the zombie menace is converging toward you. The streets are starting to fill up with shamblers a well, a dozen or so are milling around in front of the building, occasionally banging into the door without much conviction. You see several more meandering your way. It's not a problem yet, but you might have to figure out a new way out of the building by tomorrow. With the intensifying threat you think the best approach would be to find some reference material on construction work and trapping. You're pretty sure you know of a library nearby, and hopefully they'll forgive your late fees. You tie a rope and use it to slip out a second floor window into an alleyway, then slip out into the streets. The nearest zeds start shambling your way but you outpace them easily to the motorcycle. Zeds are spilling out of the woodwork all up the street, but as long as your quick this shouldn't be a problem. As you make your way up the steps of the library you start to hear a steady string of profanities, occasional roaring bellows, the drone of the undead, and a pounding of flesh on wood. You crouch low, sword out, and move into the main attrium of the building. Large bookshelves line the walls, with twin curving staircases leading to an upper floor filled with shelves. "Hey!
