You are Nanako Yakumo, formerly known as Hana Shimura, daughter of a wealthy businessman, yet also the granddaughter of the legend Nana Shimura. Due to an unfortunate tragedy, you are the sole survivor and embodiment of your family. Having lost your memories in addition, you find yourself waking up in a hospital two years later, escaping into the wilderness. Until recently, you lived a life of solitude pushing yourself to reach the apex of your abilities to the utmost degree. Becoming the personification of strength and valor in the process.

Spending your life committing various acts befitting of a phantom thief, you eventually took to changing perspective and getting a new lease on life. Through a series of events, you find yourself an MMA fighter and handyman for the Busujima family. On the public surface, you’re an average student attending Musutafu Academy, a private regular school. Slowly adjusting to your double life, something inside began to awaken from its dormant slumber. Sleeping at the depths was the mysteriously implanted quirk, All for One.

Merging with your original quirk Plug & Play, the composite quirk All in One was born. As it brings forth great power, so too did it brings great responsibility. Including the dangers carried with it. Even so, burdened with the thoughts and actions of the past, you set yourself to move forward and to face adversity head-on….with a smile just like your grandma.

After your tough battle back to back with Maruta Shiga and the Chameleon Nomu, you were brought a brief reprise. Housing inside your body was your pet Nako and even deeper the opponents you fought prior. In retrospect, you never once thought you could take your quirk integration to this degree with a living person. But here you are getting through assimilating two people for the first time, but only one of them can count as a person. The Nomu you incorporated is an artificial human but even then it was made from a corpse. Making you feel stick to your stomach.

There was no time for projectile vomiting as you reel your mind back to the task at hand. From what you managed to see through the computers is that this faculty was housing lower-tier nomus, various security droids, and whatever test subjects kept in these tropical settings. And all of them were now let loose to go wild and reak havoc on you. Unless they manage to escape the uninhabited island, Okidaitōjima. That would certainly be problematic for the local and pro heroes stationed

And to think that with your grandma’s quirk retooled to fit yourself, you could’ve just attempted to fly away back to civilization. Then again, you did send a distress signal to Saiko. Knowing your BFF you think that leaving now would be rude. A thought that quickly went away when you remember you can just call her on your phone on the way and explain the situation. That is if you get out of this death trap. Without the pudgy female researcher Maruta running the place, the security system was now on lockdown.

The number of problems just keeps piling up as you continue baking in your ideas. In the meantime, you took to testing two quirks side by side. Regeneration and Cell Activation. As the names imply they are quirks that can repair and fix the body. Cell Activation, an emitter type quirk that activates and boost regeneration, recovery, and even improves physical conditions. Regeneration was self-explanatory. Or so, it was at least as funny enough the quirk was a transformation type. In addition, it gave a sort of zombie-like effect where you can ignore damage and grow stronger with each regeneration. But the pain was a bigger bitch than before.

Spending enough time to fully recover through either means would take some time. However, it would also increase the chances of whatever lurking in the proximity of striking. Again, this was the last thing you wanted when you suggested to your friends that you wanted to go to Okinawa Island for the summer. When this is over chances are you're going to need a therapy session with the amount of baggage you're carrying.

So we're back to the 6 slot restriction, make's sense, we we're kinda overpowered anyways. How do the slots work in conjunction with our stolen Quirks? Do the Quirks take up a slot each when in use? Or can the Nomu take up one slot therefore it's Quirks as well?

Can we fuse similar Quirks and adaptations/Materials to strengthen the end result? For example taking our regeneration quirk and a animal with strong regenetive traits like an axolotl to make Regeneration+1 or Tetsutetsu's steel + Actual steel beams or something for even stronger steel skin?

Merging with some machinery might help us understand how to hack them, I reckon?
>>
>>4238162

Using them in conjunction with your Integration slots doesn't take any space nor affect the seven slots for the all for one aspect of all in one. But remember that All in One exerts extraneous amounts of pressure and greatly zaps stamina. Sort of like Nine's version but it don't cause cellular destruction since that was his original quirk's negative effects. Having it amplify your downsides fairly based on percentage usage in addition to the one for all¬esque requirements of needing strong , trained muscles to handle the power and strengthen the body's memory/capacity is a good counterbalance.

You can do the fusion exactly like that.
>>
>>4238162

The nomu and Murata take up their own slot each. Assimilating people and animals like puts greater strain. It can bypass the eight slot limit but still stress test the body. Aside from that their abilities are you own but tied to your own performance and proficiency just like the original All for One.
.
>>4238288

>nor affect the seven slots

And i'm lost again, is Nomu and Murata permanently taking 2 of our 6 or whatever slots?
What exactly consumes our stamina?

Sorry for all the questions i'm just having a hard time grasping what changed in our power and what our new rules for it are.

I'll throw some ideas out, I suppose.

Favorite Animal: Panther?
Favorite Book Genre: My joke answer would be "the ones that have things that pop out", my more serious answer would be mystery.
Favorite Color: Red for victory?
Favorite Activity: Fighting/Sparring/Combat
Favorite season: Spring
Least Favorite Animal: Honestly can't think of something that'd fit the character, considering she's basically a walking menagerie.
Least Favorite Food: Anything that doesn't provide proper nutrition.
Least Favorite Activity: Studying, obviously.
Least favorite Season: Winter
>>
>>4238423
I'm fine with our quirk having some drawbacks since it is kind of op. I just don't like the idea of fusing with a person. I see it as us basically killing them ya know.
>>
>>4238478

All in one can only steal and host up to 8 quirks. It used to be seven but you improved it further with the Nana thing. Assimilating people don't count to the limit, its your own thing though the weakness is the same as. Canon all for one's storage.

Using quirks housed by all in one and/or your assimilation used additional stamina.

And its fine. Ask away
>>
>>4238441

Favorite Animal: Something exotic maybe, like Axolotl and mantis shrimps, Hell what about "The entire animal kingdom" as a semi-serius joke.
Favorite Book Genre: I can see her being a fan of stories that use interesting real-life facts in them like in Jojo's first 2 parts with the bits explaining certain things, like Kars Lava armor and light blades.
Favorite Activity: Sparring, camping and playing with animals too.

That's all i got.

I don't unless we do it unnecessarily like the Nomu, i can even see Nanako being fine with killing as long as there's a very good reason for it since she lived in the wild and most likely had to kill for food, circle of life and all that.

No problem. Hope that clears up any confusion. Assimilating like the nomu and Maruta has no limit but there's consequences. And risky. If you know Rogue from marvel its on the same wavelengths.

You know since we don't have a noteworthy can't for what we integrate I can't help but imagine us like upgrade from ben 10 but if we can reshape our form in addition then we'll be a transformer. We can even pretend to be a bio-android or cyborg like major kusanagi. Just imagine merging with a motorcycle with our bestie or significant other riding us and playfully messing with them
>>
>>4238591

Actually are we capable of animating inanimate objects and vehicles ? If so we can pull some Steven King mindfuckery
>>
>>4238591
>We can even pretend to be a bio-android or cyborg like major kusanagi. Just imagine merging with a motorcycle with our bestie or significant other riding us and playfully messing with them
This, i mentioned this exact path for a bit last thread, all we need is a list of machines to integrate for strong adaptations. We could even make prosthetic for cripples to use, could do that to make up for what we did since that seems that's what we'll be doing for the future.

Also if we could manage to get the person fusing down to nonlethal levels we could theoretically upgrades people's quirks by fusing with them, integrating and mixing the related animal/material/machine then spitting them back out stronger. Imagine the possibilities.
>>
>>4238597

Yes, you're capable of animating and reshaping your form to a humanoid shape when merge and assimilating matter, this is mainly to non-living. Living you have to be more careful with the host since you could damage the recipient if you carelessly try to reshape it. An example would be integrating with a squirrel but using that squirrel's body as the amalgamation form and trying to shape it to a full humanoid shape of your original size.

Think Mimic or Monster Cat's quirk.

But for a refresher, here's a chart of difficulty for your integration and assimilation with the different matter states. Starting from easiest to hardest.

>Solid >Liquid >Gas>Plasma>The Fifth Matter

>>4238608

It's actually optional if you want to do lethal and non-lethal/temporally integration. But what you're trying to do with upgrades is usually only temporally less you one day master being able to do such complex permanent integration without adverse or negative side effect.
>>
>>4238545

For the record, the 89 will be for integration and te 74 for hacking. It seems the most likely skill performance based on Nanako's preference.
>>
>>4238638

I'd say we should at least try and practice more with liquids.

Liquids should be stupidly adaptable provided we don't encounter those that could freeze us.

“Tsc.” You click your teeth, hissing a bit at the absurdity of your situation. Henceforth, you flop down to the floor, putting your hands on your hips and let out a long, exaggerated sigh. “Guess I got no choice.”

Flaunting your limber and nimble body, you partake in a series of stretches to get your body nice and loose. Going as far as to perform contortion feats and boasting the "righting reflex." ability. Although it may not seem the time, doing such things often help ease your mind and stimulate the brain back on track. It was both calming and necessary to make integrations all the more smooth and fluid. If you were going to do anything against the inhabitants living in the tropical faculty then you needed to be at the top of your game. Feeling your body getting back into the swing of things, you hop up into the air.

Flicking your wrist you trigger the high-tech wristwatch’s storage factor to manifest your super suit. In a bright flash, your travel clothing disburses and reconvene within your watch. In its place however came what appears to be a black, skintight sleeveless bodysuit with a high collar, neon techno lines, and an additional thick metallic polyester plating around the chest. Accompanying with built-in all-terrain combat boots, this attire carried with it viscoelastic property and memory foam, allowing it to shapeshift and mold its form to any transformation or growth you underwent. Doubling as a shock absorbent, as it’s resistant to most forms of damage, temperatures, and granted unrestricted movement and maneuverability

Manifesting over the spandex is a snow-white cropped jacket with a thick high collar, hiding a cat-themed hoodie underneath. Around your waist was an angular black utility belt with multiple metal capsules and pouches for additional storage for supplies. Now donning your combat suit, you adjust your body in a full swing. Diving down into the ground much like you were going for a swim. Instantaneously upon making contact, your body starts to sink into the surface. Creating a rippling effect on the surface, a key sign of your quirk’s integration being utilized. With the added momentum it didn’t more than a moment to fully merge with the ground.
>>
>>4238969

Spreading your body throughout the entirety of your surroundings took relatively a notoriously short period as the ground subtly ripples. Essentially the entire laboratory has now become a paradox, living non-organic matter. Undergoing this kind of integration gave you the perfect means of hiding in plain sight. Thus allowing you to recover safely within the depths of the wall and just wait it out until you’re back at full strength. At the same time, you were effectively left to either necessary body part on to the exterior to perceive your surround or to rely upon on your sense of touch to pick up motion, vibration, and any other changes in the environment, at the cost of being hypersensitive. To which you picked the latter.

In no time you would soon find a massive computer room. Just as you came to expect, it was the master control room. Seeing that the compartment was locked, you begin to immerse yourself in the computer. Getting quite the excessive jolt down the body you fully intergrade and link your mind into the computer. Spreading your face on the monitor in a cute, digitized manner. Leaving you to begin hacking into the network and break its code. Putting your phantom thief experience, and further training with the Busujima family to good use, you successfully break the code within a fair amount of time.

With the faculty completely under your control, you invoke to fully restraining the test subjects and the nomu with the security bots now under your influence. For added insurance you begin establishing different traps, reinforcing the master control room that you set up as your base of operation. Exerting further energy than what you already have as even you begin to feel running low. By the time your preparation was finally done, your eyes start to flicker on the monitor, showing signs of falling under sleep. Maintaining the integration in slumber was possible due to your training but it requires even more time to recover. Leaving you having to make a choice.

“Urgh, not surprising that I’m so dead tired. With the efforts, I put into hacking and hotwiring the base alongside capturing and restraining the inhabitants its to be expected.” You mew neatly, letting out another long cat-like yawn from the monitor. Your voice has a sort of metallic tone.

On one hand, sleeping in the network and the building did provide a much more secure means of sleeping. But on the other hand, the amount of energy needed to sustain it would ensure yourself sleeping far longer than you would otherwise. Really it didn’t seem like a good idea to sleep within enemy territory period, let alone do it out of the safety of your immersion.

Be that as it may, you deduce that the time loss to maintain the transformation in your slumber wasn’t worth justifying the extra protection. Choosing to exert your remaining strength to reinforce your defenses, you proceed to extract yourself from the monitor.

Pushing yourself out head first you slowly materialize out of the screen. First, your fingers, then your arms, next came your head, and so forth. Bit by bit your body reattached its atomic structure, creating a static current of crackling bio-electricity around you for thematic flare. The process even during your current powered downstate was nigh-instantaneous. A testament to your routine hard work and perseverance.

Soon you feel have of your body already materializing on the other time. It’s only when you came to your lower body did you finally hit a snag. Around the hips and backside hit a rather tight fit, lodging you deep into the monitor screen. Blanking a bit at being somehow stuck, you stare coldly at your predicament.

“Of course, little miss fatass would go straight to my hips.” You uttered coldly, mentally biting at yourself for your newly added density and thickness towards your mass. Causing you to miscalculate on how wide you needed to make your point of entry to redistribute your form. Grumpy cat thy name is Nanako Yakumo.

Letting out an annoyed sigh you press your hands to the side, forcibly ripping your point of entry further to freely let your bottom half to pass through without issue. Back at its normal speed your lower body quickly rematerializes as you reel your lower legs out of the monitor. With a wet plop, you were now out of the monitor, holding yourself in the air through upper body strength.

Setting your legs down on the ground, you quickly slump over, tilting your head to rest on the cold floor. All jokes aside, you were getting real dangerously close to passing out. Thus, crawling up like a ball, you slowly close your eyes and allowed yourself to slumber.
>>
>>4239111

In the next eight hours, your body quickly went to work re-aligning your gains. Due to the drastic nature of your amalgamation, it was only natural that it would adjust to the constant state of the merger to not one but two simultaneously different entities. Making up for the sudden alteration to your cellular makeup and genetic structure. Keeping to the DNA blueprint while allowing for some deviation.

Such as manifesting a tail as long as a snow leopard’s but as thick and fluffy like a minuet, resembling more like a squirrel’s tail than a cat’s. Furthering your muscle and density compression to thoroughly compact your newly acquired mass while retaining your standard size. Optimizing your body as you become more than the sum of your parts. Most importantly, your body adjusted it to the new quirk factors stored accordingly inside.

During your metamorphosis, many of the test subjects and low leveled nomu were in constant war with the security bots. Resulting in them simultaneously taking each other out in mutual destruction. The deciding factor, of course, was thanks to the traps you layout as well as limiting their options. Forcing them into this inevitable fate. Either way, you slept soundly unaware of all of this as it took place.

Upon the moment of reaching full rejuvenation, your eyes start to slowly flicker. Opening themselves up, feline-like eyes darting around to look at your surroundings. Strangely feeling more in touch with nature even without integrating with your pet cat Nako. As if even now you were already acting more animal-like than normal.

“Ŭoooooooooo~n" You mew, scratching your face as drool still leaks from your face. From what you can tell everything was more or less in order as your huge, fluffy tail brushes against you.

Hypertrophy: [Canon] - An Transformation-type. It allows one the ability to enlarge and reinforce organic matter, regardless of living or not so long as its compound/composition is organic. It can reach monstrous proportions but still a far cry from Gigantification. In exchange, one can pinpoint its the size and enhance the characteristics and abilities correlating towards the target.

So what's our current slot list like?
>>
>>4239256

Vapor - An Emitter type quirk that revolves around freely manipulating any and all nearby vapor. As well as converting any substance into vapor, including one’s body liquids. Although one can use one’s own liquids, they cannot freely produce vapor from within. Requiring an outside source to control and manipulate.

Dragon's Breath - An Emitter type quirk that allows one to consume and digest any material or substance. Once consumed, it will temporally embed the user the ability to release powerful blasts of the respective element or component from their body, typically the mouth. Its usage is directly tied to the proportion of said substance and/or material consumed. The more it used the more said resource is converted to fuel.

Soft & Hard - An Emitter type quirk that grants one the ability to freely manipulate the hardness and softness of anything they touch. Ranging from turning something from as hard as carbon to as soft/malleable as rubber and vice versa. It can also solidify and liquefy non-living things through extraneous effort. It doesn’t work on living things, however, if the user consumes sufficient enough of one of the two respected states, their body can temporally undergo a transformation relating to that respective state. The trade-off is during this change they can only influence themselves for as long as their digestion still has it in their system. Excessive usage can affect one’s hardness, making them either stiff and ridged or fragile and flimsy.

Gorgon - An Mutant type quirk that imbued one whole’s body with the aspects of a Gorgan. This includes dermal armor, snake-like features, and living hair that can morph and shape its form accordingly including that of real snakes. The user gains the same weaknesses that snake carries, as well as one’s armor and hair strength are tied to one’s nutrients.

Rotation - An Emitter type quirk that allows one to create, shape, and manipulate the rotational energy through the motion of one’s body motions. It can also change any/all rotation directions and rotate in any direction through harnessing rotational energy within a certain range. Continuous usage of the quirk can leave one becoming gradually disorientation or nausea over time. Excessive usage can lead to vertigo, serious dizziness, or motion sickness. Building momentum takes time as one must be careful with the speed as a swift change in speed can cause unintentional accidents and/or backlash.

Amplification - An Transformation type quirk that allows one to enhance, augment, increase, and/or multiply something already existing through physical contact. Directly tied to one’s mental and physical strength as the more things influenced by Amplification the more strain is put on the wearer’s psyche and condition.

>>4239288

Gun Show - A Transformation type Quirk that grants the user the ability to produce and infuse any aspect of their body with gunpower. The user can expel and release the gunpower through either temporally generating firearms and/or projectile weapons from one's own body where the selected aspect is containing the gunpowder. Or through physical touch and transferring the gunpowder into their respective target, turning them into a bomb. The user while resistant to their firepower can still suffer recoil and explosion damage depending on the strength. The consecutive release can put great strain on the body and can clog up. Stunting the ability and forcing a cool down. One’s own nourishment is the ammunition.

Air Force - A Mutation type Quirk that grants the user the ability to draw and expel large quantities of air currents and pressures through the pores. One can grow lizard or bird-like shoulder pads to assist with obtaining and controlling greater volumes of air. The user is freely able to control the pathway and trajectory of the air, including its shape and form via additional effort. Because the user is generating the air itself, it doubles as an extension of themselves. Allowing one to use the air they generate to mask their presence, essentially disappearing like the wind and reappearing accordingly within their atmospheric territory. Excessive usage of Air force puts the strenuous amount of pressure on the respiratory system. If one cannot maintain proper breathing then the air will disburse abruptly. Concentration is key in keeping the air tamed and under their control.

Muscle augmentation is 3x as three versions based on the canon combine together to make a superior variant.

Grab Amplification for sure. The rest, while they'd be nice to have, aren't as much of a winner as Amplification would be for us.

wouldn't three muscle augmentation be too powerful since a person only having one was able to tank a punch infused with 100% one for all power and why does a low ranking Nomu even have that quirk, the only Nomu shown to have that quirk is hood and the doctor shouldn't even be able to give his Nomus that quirk since he has yet to meet muscular
>>
>>4239349
the dice gods still smile down upon us
>>
>>4239383

1. Izuku's 100% always fluctuates because of his state of being, his inexperience, and his inability to fully handle the power. I know it's easy to say that it's mostly plot but there's a legit in-story reason for the power wall struggle. Also, the Muscular fight was basically a mess anyway. Especially with how he won since to this day people ACTUALLY believe Deku went a million percent and not just him trying to hype himself and break out of subconscious limitations.

2. Muscular Augmentation isn't all that "special" when you really think about it. Strength enhancements are pretty common given how many different versions there are. Out of the 4 so far, I'd have to say "Power" but that's arguable since Hood used Muscle Augmentation to boost his other quirks, power especially. But in terms of transformation-types revolving on the matter, I'd say Stress has them beat. Not saying Muscle Augmentation isn't good which it is. But I'm more inclined to believe Muscular made it that good because of his own efforts.

3. All for One had a copy before giving it to Wolfram, which based on the timeline, the twin heroes movie would be after the final exams but before the school camp trip. Even then, long ago in the past according to Ultra Analysis, he got an examination from Daruma Ujiko and given the doctor track record, I wouldn't put it past him undergoing decades of reverse engineering quirks from various "samples" he collected from his patients. I have zero doubts to believe neither AFO or the doctor couldn't nab themselves said quirk given all the various stuff they pulled off in all forms of media.

3. I've never said that all 3 came from a single nomu, though I should've empathized better that once harvest they most likely would stake themselves together becoming closer to a greater variant, rivaling Muscular's proficiency through sheer power. So I apologize for that.

Dice gods keep smiling on you guys so it's my folly having to adjust. Could probably cut it to two and double on gigantification anyway.

Amplification is defiantly a must to put with our all for one making all quirks and manipulations under us more powerful

Excessive usage of Air force puts the strenuous amount of pressure on the respiratory system. If one cannot maintain proper breathing then the air will disburse abruptly. Concentration is key in keeping the air tamed and under their control.a

vapor would be perfect with our body for the gumification aspect of our fluids and the air force mutation would be perfect for inflation or deflation it evne has inbuilt sacks to inflate. they would both be much more powerful together allowing us to inflate ourself and other things much faster and actually for sure infuse them with the gum properties.
and just using gun show would allow for much more quick and powerful explosions.

Hypertrophy: [Canon] - An Transformation-type. It allows one the ability to enlarge and reinforce organic matter, regardless of living or not so long as its compound/composition is organic. It can reach monstrous proportions but still a far cry from Gigantification. In exchange, one can pinpoint its the size and enhance the characteristics and abilities correlating towards the target.
would fit perfectly with chameleons quirk allowing for more fine control.

Excessive usage can affect one’s hardness, making them either stiff and ridged or fragile and flimsy.
this would allow for more elasticity and and turning the explosion and bubblegum combo much more deadly by turning our go body/bubble into the hardness of glass or metal allowing for sharp hard sharps to shoot everywhere.

Gorgon - An Mutant type quirk that imbued one whole’s body with the aspects of a Gorgan. This includes dermal armor, snake-like features, and living hair that can morph and shape its form accordingly including that of real snakes. The user gains the same weaknesses that snake carries, as well as one’s armor and hair strength are tied to one’s nutrients.

the snakes would fit really well with chameleon as they pretty much share the exact weaknesses and this snake making the weak base form stronger and if comboed with dragons breath would allow for all of the heads too shoot and eat energy blasts or rock blasts or water blasts making for a versatile combo

would allow us to make quirks under it more powerful then they would usually be allowing us to go over 100% with pure willpower
possibly
>Rotation - An Emitter type quirk that allows one to create, shape, and manipulate the rotational energy through the motion of one’s body motions. It can also change any/all rotation directions and rotate in any direction through harnessing rotational energy within a certain range. Continuous usage of the quirk can leave one becoming gradually disorientation or nausea over time. Excessive usage can lead to vertigo, serious dizziness, or motion sickness. Building momentum takes time as one must be careful with the speed as a swift change in speed can cause unintentional accidents and/or backlash.
possibly allowing it to even store and release kinetic energy possibly turning it into energy for the quirk would work perfectly with the absorption and amplification and store and release quirk we have from the chameleon nomu allowing us to act as a physical battery for kinetic energy and possibly expand our storage capabilities and allowing for kinetic motion energy manipulation as much as quirk manipulation

>chameleon
>Dragon's Breath - An Emitter type quirk that allows one to consume and digest any material or substance. Once consumed, it will temporally embed the user the ability to release powerful blasts of the respective element or component from their body, typically the mouth. Its usage is directly tied to the proportion of said substance and/or material consumed. The more it used the more said resource is converted to fuel.

snake and dragons breath would allow for the ability to grow extra heads that cna devours and fire elemental blasts or blasts taken form inside our storage so we can do things like spew out wasps and honey or pretty much anything making for a deadly combo.
Hypertrophy: [Canon] - An Transformation-type. It allows one the ability to enlarge and reinforce organic matter, regardless of living or not so long as its compound/composition is organic. Or through physical touch and transferring the gunpowder into their respective target, turning them into a bomb. Stunting the ability and forcing a cool down. One’s own nourishment is the ammunition.

allowing us to explode with great force even when not inflated and allowing us to detonate our infusions in others. even possibly firing bubble gum or a collection of gum vapor and air making it a inflation gun.

>Air Force - A Mutation type Quirk that grants the user the ability to draw and expel large quantities of air currents and pressures through the pores. One can grow lizard or bird-like shoulder pads to assist with obtaining and controlling greater volumes of air. The user is freely able to control the pathway and trajectory of the air, including its shape and form via additional effort. much much faster inflation and deflation rate and even allowing for fast inflation of others or act as a breath gun.

>Vapor - An Emitter type quirk that revolves around freely manipulating any and all nearby vapor. As well as converting any substance into vapor, including one’s body liquids. allowing us to splinter in deadly fragments even allowing us to transform into completly bubblegum go outside of when we explode or harden to carbonfiber levels even control how rubbery or hard to puncture we will be
>>
>>4239453
>>4239452
did i miss anything?
anyways the quirks for all in one would open up possibilities of kinetic storage and manipulation from some of the chameleons quirks like compounding all of the kinetic related ones into one.
and amplification would allow us to go over our limits evne with quirk manipulation or boosting over our natural limit by using will power and physical strength like flexing really hard with all our being.

the chameleon is acting like a extra quirk slot for us when dealing with all the transformation aspect for animals so putting in another animals related quirk that makes the whole slightly stronger is good. and with the several heads and our giant storage we will get the full use of dragons breath and allow for slightly more advanced transformations when dealing with heads. and hypertrophy this allows us to enlarge and reinforce any organic we touch including us and other and it has much more power and fine control for its size when dealing with the changes in characteristics and abilities and one can pick the exact size and changes to characteristics and abilities.

>Bubble Pop
gunshow would allow us to explode even when without air and possibly even allowing us to shoot and temporarily generate guns or shoots form our body possibly of gum infused with our gumifications liquids or even detonating the infusion liquid and vapor would let us manipulate and produce our gum liquid and easily infuse it into anything we want to make gum like.
airforce is a mutant quirks so it comes with inbuilt inflating organs and manipulate air like a extensions of our self and allowing us to draw in and suck in wast quantities of air just with our skin pores evne produce extremly strong blasts of air or maipulate the air to disguise our effect on the environment AND even generate our own air
and i forgot
Soft & Hard would let us have more control over our flexibility allowing for deadly explosions or soft goop even allowing us to transform in a similar state without having to pop possibly allowing us to roll around like a wrecking ball or turn softer and more flexible then rubber letting us take impacts much better or even avoiding them completely by dodging with our soft gum body.

No its for the final quirk since three muscle augmentation is excessive. The only eight slots being actively used at a time stipulation still remains

>>
>>4239594
>>4239612

>>
>>4239622

I think we only lost it for animals since we keep somehow assimilating Nomis or storing them now. I can go either or with our original animal hax of being a living zoo or keep this up. But it does seem like there needs to be a counterbalance or we're going to get real stupid op soon. And that might be what the dice want

>>4239503

I decided to only make light adjustments to Gun Show. Originally I was considering taking out the weapon transformation aspect to avoid redundancy but I feel like doing so would take away Gun Shows's uniqueness and make it just another Explosion/Landmine/Rupture.

Gun Show - A Transformation type Quirk that grants the user the ability to produce and infuse any aspect of their body with a gunpower-like substance. The user can expel and release the gunpower through either temporally generating firearms and/or projectile weapons from one's own body where the selected aspect is containing the gunpowder. Or through physical touch and transferring the gunpowder into their respective target, turning them into a bomb that can be detonated at will. The user while initially immune to their firepower will gradually lose that resistance over time. As for the self-triggering detonation, they are resistant to their firepower can still suffer recoil and explosion damage depending on the strength. The consecutive release can put great strain on the body and can clog up. Stunting the ability and forcing a cool down. One’s own nourishment is the ammunition.

Armory Arms - A Mutant type Quirk that allows one to morph any part of their body into objects and/or manifest limbs with ingrown equipment and items. These newly summoned appendages are retractable and can be called back or summoned nigh-instantaneously without effort. On creation, these objects carry with them the same characteristics and properties of their original inspiration. However, the strength of the object is deeply rooted in the user. Therefore, it can range from being an offshoot of the original to far succeeding it depending on their physical conditioning and resources. While the objects and appendages can repair themselves in case of damage, doing so zaps the user of their calcium and iron. Complex and advanced objects take more time to manifest and to use this quirk to the finest requires ones to be knowledgable of the blueprint and atomic configuration of said object in order to reproduce it. Currently, only eight body parts can be transformed/manifest limbs at a time. The appendage summoned can also double as spares that carry the same traits as the original.

Going to do an update tonight, but I do want to fix some stuff before continuing.

Slightly off-topic but on the matter of Maruta, I'm not gonna lie and say you don't have the potential to do lethal assimilations and permanent mergers/imprisonment. As well as I was implying that Maruta has been body-hopping for the longest time, So capturing her here to this existence isn't the end of her. That said, you didn't actually kill the "original". And the body you did assimilate was no different than a Nomu since Maruta's quirk All or None has the choice of safely possessing a victim or pulling an Orochimaru and assimilating them entirely, leaving them a mindless husk for Maruta to control.

I've been thinking about whether if I should expand on that implication to avoid confusion or left it open-ended on if you really killed her or not. It doesn't exactly cheap your victory or negates the quirks you obtained since Maruta's quirk lets her take all she acquired with her and jump to the next body or create another "Maruta" not unlike how Nomu's are made. So sorry if this took the fun out of the mystery or make it feel like your choice didn't have as much impact morality wise.

I also know how I want to handle all these quirks and infinite storage haxes while still keeping with the general spirit of things. The panel here summarizes my plan and with the hard limit of only 8 quirks and/ 8 integration at a time alongside some side-effects, I think it balances it out in the end.

So you can go back to raiding zoos if you want, but with the nomus, quirks, and other storage, you're going to put one hell of stress on yourself as a walking menagerie.

Finished the updates I want to do for now, as for Chimera x Gorgon, I came up with a new ability for the complete assimilation and fusion of the two quirks.

Anima - A Mutant type Quirk that allows one to morph and shape their bodies, be it the whole body or selective part(s) into the form of any living creature. Be it living, extinct, or even mythological, one can mimic and replicate the traits and attributes of their intended target so long as they understand the composition and biology of said creature. Without a strong visual understanding, it will not work and achieve zoanthropy. Doing it by memory takes longer than observation with physical contact or consumption the creature allowing it for instantaneous transformation and much longer periods with less stamina drain. The natural weaknesses and downside of the living organism are also gained alongside the benefits. One’s mental and physical strength is tied to the duration as, without a sound mind and body, one cannot fully manifest and maintain the transformation.

As for Amplification, I was thinking for the transformation visual you end up showing elf-like attributes like pic related. With the source of your amplification tied to the ears.
>>
>>4240904

Another note, Added some new stuff and further expanded on Regeneration. Will probably do the same for some of the less meaty quirks over time so be on the watch for that.

That said if you got a suggestion for phobia don't be shy and tell me.
>>

Despite having what was otherwise a full eight hours of sleep, you weren’t feeling truly at the top of your game. If anything you were feeling rather peckish if not close to famished. Not really surprising with all that you underwent previously. Really you expected yourself to be knocked out for much longer. That and someone to actually bust through your fortified defenses and try to attack you while you were at your weakest. Strangely none of that happened. You weren’t sure if it was due to the security bots keeping them at bay or you were just lucky. Either way, it was time for you to make your next move.

Stretching your arms over your head, twisting your body back to limberness you casually drop to the floor. Upon making contact did you start to merge with your surroundings. Once again insinuating full integration in a matter of seconds. Given that you normally fuse with living beings and solid objects, it was a little weird for you to go through merging with an entire architecture. Normally you integrate yourself into the walls to travel to a place to place before ejecting yourself. That or walking through them in the unusual rippling effect. If you normally feel butterflies were inside your stomach in your youth during integration then right now you feel like you were housing an entire habitat right now.

Either way, having yourself fully immersed with the building made it easier to pinpoint everything. Sure, doing this was sapping precious stamina from your remaining reserves. Walking through the entire base would’ve taken just as much if not more stamina you reckoned. Thus justifying your decision to round up the Nomus this way. To your shock, those security bots and droids have successfully managed to restrain and incapacitate them. Not only just the Nomu but also the various test subjects. Subjects that appeared to be mutated animals, attempted clones, and other eldritch abominations. Seeing all of this was making you ill. Both from the gruesomeness and your stomach twisting from rage.

No matter what the reason, you could never forgive anyone using lives for experimentations. Animals especially made you absolutely livid. Made perfect sense since before actually having human friends. Especially ones who are in your age group it was the animals that kept your company and showed you comfort. So much in fact when you came back to civilization you originally didn’t know how to speak or write. It took six whole months of re-learning everything before you could adjust to human society again. Even so, you never lost that connection and talent of communicating with animals. So seeing such treatment naturally made you furious. Just another reason why you can’t stand to work for those people.
>>
>>4241037

Putting that aside and given the slain animals their proper burials outside, you turn your attention back to the drones. The technology in this base was rather high and only a few years behind the state of the art cutting edge of today’s technology. Most of the droids were thrashed and broken to pieces, while the bots got it the worse. And the machinery that was still intact was rendered inactive. As for the Nomu, they all suffered numerous damage as all of them were either killed in the initial battle or bleed out to death. In other words, only you currently remain in the land of the living. Although the people were now safe, seeing senseless death and the abuse of using corpses didn’t sit well with you.

Still, you had a job to do. Morphing the floors into hands, you tapped each and every one of the Nomu. Dragging them all towards you once sinking their bodies into the floors. Rounding them all up didn’t exactly take a whole lot of time as they all intervened where your core was located. Once there you begin to integrate and extract what you saw necessary from the collection of Nomu. As you assumed, each and every one of them held an assortment of quirks. Having assimilated and contain two people with multiple quirks, you realize that these artificial humans were modified and altered to handle these quirks. As a result, they became mindless puppets not because it was beneficial, but necessary due to memory space.

With that in mind, you collect upon the quirks, avoiding what you did previously by drawing only their quirks rather than their entire being. Responding to your will, you feel your own quirk pulsating with power. As if it was answering your exact dilemma the memory system that governs what can be stored inside expediently at a drastic rate. Whether if you intended or not, the quirk All in One underwent another metamorphosis as it draws greater power and efficiency from the All for One aspect, further refining the weaker quirk and pushing past its current limits to reach a greater state. As a result, all the quirks were extracted and put into a new subsection to your newly refined storage system.

In addition, several quirks that were compatible managed to power up existing quirks or merged together, blending a new quirk in its place much like All in One. Once again it seems that the mysterious power that attached itself to your original quirk has further set itself turning into your own instead of a borrowed or altered quirk. Therefore, you learn right off the bat that you learn precisely and pinpoint extractions as well as how to combine quirks together as well as separate them to extract and utilize those separate factors. The sole exception was Quirks that carry the same nature as All in One. In a short time, you were becoming more aware of what you can and can’t do with the All for One aspect of All in One. Including a few other tricks hidden beneath the surface.

With that out of the way, you took it upon yourself to use All in One in a manner akin to spiders and liquidate the Nomu before sucking their aspects into you. Though you can more or less store them inside your storage like the animals and mass, redistributing their mass this way was more beneficial and less taxing. Even so, there was something about desecrating corpses that made you unsettled. The Nomu was essentially dead and those that turned to Nomu while alive might as well be wishing for death. Or so you assumed. You haven’t really met a sentient Nomu to really test that theory yet anyway.

Upon finishing up clean up you would hear an alarm going off in the distance. Someone else was approaching the base. Still being fully immersed with it, you could feel their movement and presence beat for beat. Every motion mapped out along with their physical structure. To your surprise, it was one person you knew personally. Saiko Intelli. Accompanying her was someone you didn’t know at all. A towering, heavily muscled man in a green trenchcoat.

>Confront the mysterious man from a distance as you try to question why he’s here with Saiko
>Take no chances and separate the two. Protecting Saiko and fighting the intruder
>Expell yourself from the building and de-transform before meeting them as “Nanako”
>Keep quiet and try to listen in to their conversation as you look for clues

Given your continuous (absurdly) good luck in altered Quirks, as well as quirks in general, I more or less decided that there's something special about your composition. And not just the fact of your abundant life-force and bio-energy. Something unusual that caused such compatibility that even experimental quirks and copies turn into genuine natural quirks. Even becoming more than sum of their parts.

Hence why you're so valuable, for better or worse. So right now, your version of All for One through your original quirk has now become able to rival the original despite initially being a weaker variant like nine. If not close to equaling it as it's still maturing.

I'm curious on how One for All would be like if we had it instead of Deku? Would we just pull an All might 2.0 or maybe got O MY SEVEN QUIRKS faster. Heck if this taking rising into account, we could transfer OfA to multiple people and amp them up while getting to experience using their quirks. Thus living up to the name One for All

You way that like it's a bad thing. Now if we made this quirk our own, do you think we could end up being the antithesis to AfO. Like more than OfA. We could try to learn how to fix quirk factors or develop some sort of "gift" theme through engineering the quirk factor for something new to manifest. Be an even better healing hero in addition to animal

Yeah, I could see us partially melding with someone and then removing the drug from their system while also repairing whatever it damaged. But I'm not sure how we could restore someone's original quirk if it was literally stolen. Well, besides giving them a new one that is.

If the genetic blueprint still exists we could Frankenstein it by recreating it from within or trigger an Eri tier bullshit by somehow learning to regenerate lost quirk factors. Even if the main source is gone the ingredients and remnants of the genetics still exists.

There were a lot of questions that you felt the need to ask. How did they get to this location? How long were you gone? What happened with your doppelganger? Who is that mysterious man? Is he an enemy or an ally? Etcetera. The questions just keep piling up as you slowly pinch your forehead underneath the building structure. In retrospect, it was rather a good thing that you took over the tropical laboratory base. Otherwise, the security system would’ve activated and try to attack them. Worse yet would’ve been the release of the Nomu had you not taken care of them prior to their arrival.

In any case, it would be best to greet your rescuers. Even if you didn’t need to be rescued anymore, it was still touching to have your friend come to your aid. As you prepare to leave, another thought came to your mind. Looking down at your visualized form you quickly realize the problem that would come if you were to greet them right now. You didn’t exactly tell your bestie about your double life as Luxana, and coming to her dressed up in your combat spandex would’ve drawn a lot of questions. Well, to be more specific, even more questions than the buttload she must have already compilated.

Deciding it would be best to play the part of the captive princess, you reconstruct your body into a prison room and subtly move the hallways to lead into it. After putting your body back together, you de-construct your battle attire back into your watch. In its place was your previous attire of a black hoodie jacket, a black, and red striped bikini top and matching bottoms, and barefoot shoes. Even with your current mass, your clothing managed to fit you like a glove. A mental note of thanks for your boss Chisa for making all your clothing with the same malleable material as your combat suit. Still, given your current voluptuous figure, you look closer to your grandma although more stacked in every way.

Look at yourself with a perplexed expression, you attempt to redistribute your mass. Shifting it to your arms resulted in a sudden increase in muscle mass. Causing your arms to enlarge into a massive size, resembling more of a hulkish gorilla. Blinking a bit in confusion but with a cheeky smile, you retracted the added muscle mass before shifting it to your legs. Creating a similar transformation as you start to experiment with controlling proportions. It seems yet again your quirk ended up establishing and developing new applications as well as improving existing ones. After playing with it for a few reshapes, you end up getting the exact amount and how much of an alteration needed to even yourself out.
>>
>>4242428

Doing so left you in an awkward position of examining your assets to make sure they were perfectly balanced like the rest of your proportions. Carefully avoiding shifting more mass to one area over the other. A process that you kept repeating it for some time before finally settling with having your hip to thigh ratio having a somewhat bigger increase in compared to your chest. Though your chest was much larger than you previously display, it wasn’t noticeable at first glance due to your balancing act. You wanted to be as close to your normal civilian size as possible, to which you came close.

All the excess muscle mass that you condense into yourself wouldn’t allow any further shrinkage or compression. Hence why you couldn’t shrink your giant, floofy tailback to its the original slender shape. Well, more specifically it wasn’t your pet cat’s tail but strangely your own. Putting that aside, you took the initiative to ruffle yourself up a bit. While not to the point of damaging your clothing, you did dirty yourself up. With the core piece of resistance being a black eye to the face. Two to be exact, giving you a tanuki-esque appearance. Now with ruffled hair, you waited patiently for your rescuers. Of which came literally seconds after you finished looking the part. Talk about a close save.

“Guys! I’m over here!” You cry to Saiko, waving your hands towards them, alerting their attention.

“Nanako!” Saiko responded, directing her chaperone into the prison room and unlocking the gate to save you. “Are you alright? What happened? Why were they after you?”

>Tell Saiko the whole truth and be straight with her as you explain

Yeah he is and his quirk is a mutation of multiple quirks with his original quirk cloud is the base. Since we managed the same things with our quirks and how qm said >>424104. I'm inclined to believe we're a nomu that they made but regain ourselves or our tampering is turning us into one.

Maybe try to think up some Hero Names around for ourselves as well.
>>
>>4242519

I think we should try and experiment to our new form. Get used to our quirks and try to be proficient with them, especially Anima.

Aside from that we should keep up our double life and keep other from noticing our vigilante ways.

>>4242567

I support this but should we limit what quirks we use under this guise? Deciding what our Arsenal is would greatly help with a name.
>>
>>4242583
how about using super power, rebound, self-control, regeneration and muscle augmentation, this would allow us to trick people to think that we just have a really powerful emitter or transformation quirk
>>
>>4242650

Throw in Bound and we might really be mistaken for the symbol of peace or a really tanky powerhouse. That's not a bad idea. Would probably keep people thinking our animal gimmick is related if they see us in the ring. Only problem I could see is whether or not we want to hide the physical changes we got from the nomu or not. Mutations aren't necessarily tied to quirks so we could pass it off being the offspring of a mutie.
>>
>>4242519

“Hold on, that’s a bunch of questions to ask.” You awkwardly laugh, breaking into a nervous smile due to your nervous laughter condition. A minor offshoot of the pseudobulbar affect where uncomfortable, angered, embarrassed, or stressed, you can’t help grinning or even smirking due to the nervous twitch. Pulling your hand out you keep your distance from Saiko. “Don’t you think that nows not the time for it?”

“Oh no, you don’t. You’re not changing the subject by pointing out we’re in enemy territory. There’s something strange going on here and I’m going to find out. Who exactly would go through their way to masquerade as you in addition to kidnapping? Just who is your chaperone and how he managed to hold his own with your doppelganger?” Saiko pushed, poking at you to try and squeeze information. If there’s one thing you knew Saiko well for it was her pushy and standoff attitude especially when it comes to trouble.

“Uhm..” As you try to think of a means to get Saiko to calm down, you would see the very tall, muscular man suddenly picking up Saiko with one arm. Lifting her on to his shoulders like a sentient log, much to her embarrassment.

“You heard the lady, we need to go. There’s no point in stressing over the little stuff.” The man spoke, having a rather gruff and tough voice.

“H-Hold on Mr. Kuroiwa! Unhand me right this second! “ Saiko complains, turning behind to look at him.

“Saiko.” You cry, pulling her attention back to you.

“I promise, we’ll talk about this. Right now we need to go before anyone else comes here.”

“...” Saiko pauses. She looks you right in the eye as she saw that same concerning look you generally gave when you were more worried about others than yourself. Thus rendering her speechless as she was now conflicted.

Turning to look back at the mysterious man, you gently bow before exchanging greetings. “Thanks for coming with my bestie. I wouldn’t know what I’d do if someone happens to her because of me.”

“Look at you. We’re the ones set off to rescue you but it sounds like you’re already thinking about ensuring all of our safety. Straightforward and to the point. I like that kind of thinking.” The man smiles, offering his free hand towards you to shake. “We haven’t properly met. My name is Takeshi Kuroiwa, nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you too Mr. Kuroiwa.” You smile, shaking back his hand. “My name is Nanako Yakumo.”

Gritting her teeth in frustration, Saiko lets out a long sigh before submitting it. “Aargh, fine! We’ll go, now just put me down! I can run myself!”
>>
>>4242664

“Are you sure? You have pretty terrible stamina and if I am, to be honest in terms of physical activity you’re rather underwhelming. Something that I can only assume as a counterbalance to your overwhelming mental capabilities. For instance, during gym class, I remember having to carry you mid-way through her marathon in proper ojou-sama fashion. And then there was that one time in- “ Before you could finish, you soon find yourself having your mouth covered by an angry Saiko.

“Shut up! You of all people don’t get to brag about being a muscle-brain gorilla. Less I remind you how many times your brain fizzled out from simple equations!” Saiko barks, hiding her insecurity about not being physically built like yourself thus completing her ideal version of a sherlock homes detective.

“Gwahahaha. Sounds like despite appearing dainty and supple you’re got quite a firm, strong disposition.” Takeshi laughs, already jogging with a pouty Saiko in hand. Currently kicking wildly at being treated like a log. You can only cover your mouth and snicker a bit but not too loudly less you wanted to get a cold, seething glare from Saiko.

Following behind the two, you made your way through the tropic jungle. Due to them already making a path to the ends of the jungle, you didn’t run into any opposition or resistance. Thus allowing you and the gang to make a rather quick getaway. Arriving at the shore you saw what looks to be a high tech blue painted hovercraft. It wasn’t unusual that Saiko would have something like this available. She was an exceptional genius so building stuff such as vehicle was right up her field of expertise. Just like you, it was rather unusual that someone of Saiko’s natural talent and innate ability wasn’t in a fancy high school like U.A. She would make an amazing support hero with the number of gadgets she engineered.

Upon getting inside the three of you travel high into the sky in top gear. Leaving the inhabitant island, you turn to give one final look at it. Part of you was uncertain if leaving now was the right idea. Who knows what kind of secrets lie within the laboratory. It wasn’t the place where you were held, but surely it carries some information worth investigating. Yet your intuition was telling you that it was a bad idea sticking around any longer. Even if the enemy based was inhabitant and the threats are taken care of, Maruta’s words continue to linger in your mind. Being in the enemy’s base where you’re now marked for hunting and capture was too brazen even for you. Besides, you made more than enough progress to feel proud of your accomplishments. Truthfully, you just wanted to get out of there. For obvious reasons.
>>
>>4242659
what physical changes?
>>
>>4242666

Assuming he means the fact you have a giant, floofy tail, and general animal-like traits like slightly pointy ears, sharp teeth, claws, basically looking more cat-like even out of your integration with your pet.
>>
>>4242665

On the trip back to the mainlands you finally start your debriefing with Saiko and Takeshi. From Saiko’s end, the gang made it to the apartment and was settling up their stuff for tomorrow’s trip to the Kabira Bay to see the manta rays. It was during separation between your other friends in particular during a supply run that Saiko began picking up on the key differences between you and your doppelganger. Thus cracking the code and exposing her for a fake just moments before receiving your beacon. Resulting in the doppelganger dropping her guise and revealing her identity as “Copycat, The fifth member of the Numbers”. Before she could attack and kidnap Saiko, Shinra came to the rescue and allowed Saiko to escape elsewhere.

One of Shinra’s old friends Takeshi was accompanying him and took it upon himself to join alongside Saiko. Hearing that put you at ease but also made you feel rather guilty that your friends ended up getting involved. Reframing from letting yourself get rattled by guilt you chose to speak what happened on your end. While keeping the more important secrets to yourself, you manage to weave enough half-truths from your background to make a convincing story. How you were going to become a specimen for an experiment to try and help taking down heroes, too busy being drugged out of your mind to really pay attention, and being confined in a cage. Where you were ruffled up and weaken to prep you for experimentation.

You didn’t dwell on what happened to Maruta but your story implied that something else happened and caused an outbreak. Triggering an alarm and having the machinery attack the freed test subjects and embrace mutual destruction. Having to settle on that information, Saiko lets you off the hook much to your relief. But now you were left alone to ponder another problem. The Numbers. With your identity now known, it was only a matter of time before they would come looking for you. Much like a black cat, it seems you were destined to draw trouble your way. Even so, you weren’t going to let it involved your friends. Clinching your fist with resolve, you set your hearts to confront the organization the only way befitting for you.

Arriving in the mainland after a two-hour flight, you took solace at now being back at Okinawa. You made your way back to camp where Shinra and the company were stationed. Only suffering from some light wounds, it seems Shinra managed to send the doppelganger packing. Although from his description upon talking with him it seems that the doppelganger was called back with some sort of black, oozing liquid. Had that not have happened she would’ve undergone a berserker like state after being brought down by Shinra’s talents.

If you're going by this for your vigilante setup the name that first comes to mind would be any one of these from the previous thread.

"Grendel was a monster alright, but I don't think it fit with us, we sure aren't evil incarnate, and our method isn't "punch it, take hit, punch harder, retry"... or at least, not always.

Mhhh... maybe Koloss or Uhyre, they both mean monster and (from what I gathered), Koloss is used for a Colossus or something akin to a juggernaut, seemingly unbeatable and a huge challenge. Also, I just found out the name of a music album.

Uhyre instead is more for something very fearful or terrible. Something that no matter what you do, it will haunt you. Now, and forevermore.

Or they just both mean just monster and I fucked up, but let's not worry about that!"

Inform both Shinra and Saiko that we plan to deal with these threat to your peaceful life before they can come to us. This is so that Shinra can increase our training as much as we can take, and Saiko can take appropriate measures to protect herself - though, knowing her, she might go the route of making us something to help protect us if she can't convince us not to go hunting for AFO's group.
Sadly, we'll have to let our school performance drop (unless we're near one of the breaks, in which case it won't be so bad) to prepare ourselves, which will involve a lot of investigative work alongside shinra's martial arts training and generally practicing with our new quirks to become proficient in them.

In terms of less broad activities (IE things that only need done once over the time period), I feel like we should find a way to anonymously inform a relatively trustworthy hero about the coordinates of the island base we were taken to - Gang Orca comes to mind, because he seemed very genuine and well-meaning during the fight with him.
Should also take the chance to copy Maru's "seed-tracker" ability that she so thoughtfully explained to us in order to plant one in everyone we care about, just in case someone tries to kidnap them to get to us. Hell, we might even be able to use this technique for our investigation into AFO's group, if we plant seeds in people we think are connected to them in order to track their movements.

Seems like we got a concrete idea with >>4242710 this and doing well to maintain your normal life as top priority.

With that in mind, start rolling me some 4d100

I'll distribute the scores based on your innate skill/talents for in story consistency. So Academics will probably get the lowest out of the best rolls.

And this is optional but you can also roll one more d100 for Saiko's improvement since she's more inclined to not set herself as a burden and going through some much needed physical conditioning.
>>
Rolled 24, 33, 77, 46, 31 = 211 (5d100)

So with that, it'll be

100 - Saiko's improvements, training, and body conditioning/equipment building for self-defense
97 - Your training, improvement and new quirks proficiency
90 - Vigilante work and sharing data with Gang Orca anonymously
90 - Maintaining your life as Luxana
88- Maintaining your life as Nanako

Just so everyone is on the same page, here is the improved IQ.

IQ, an Emitter type that grants one the ability to temporarily boost one intellect after drinking tea and closing their eyes. The level that her intelligence is boosted depends on the brand/quality of tea that they drinks. With high-class tea bringing forth the maximum level increase by multiple folds. While poorly crafted/cheaply half-assed tea only brings forth a small boost. Initially only revolving around their intellect, through continuous training and extreme refinery, it has since matured to boost and improve the brain capacity, functions, and other mental abilities to handle one’s growing intelligence perception, and comprehension. In addition, one does not need to close one eye to active, but it can still be used to greatly expand its range and effects.

Different types of tea will have different effects on her body with the six types of “true” tea (White, Yellow, Green, Oolong, Black, and Dark) and herbal tea being the most potent and diverse. Herbal Tea especially has a unique effect of directly affecting the body physically instead of solely mentally. Each effect is different depending on the tea but its abilities can range from restorative to augmentative properties among other applications. While it is possible for one to initiate the activations of the Quirk through caffeine or eating a portion of the respective plants, its strength and efficiency aren’t as potent as it would otherwise be once prepared in tea form. As well as zapping stamina to recreate the effect thus a bigger drawback or longer duration of its usual negative side-effects.

How long the effects of the tea last depends on their digestive tract. Burning the substance can admit a greater effect but it further decreases the amount of time one can maintain their altered state. When the tea stops flowing the body, it causes one to become rapidly exhausted and lethargic for a small duration. Until that point, they are energetic and vigor as they’re on their first cup. Continuous usage requires greater consumption to keep the quirk active. In addition, the more the quirk is used, the aggravated the exhaustion becomes.

Boosting one’s physical capabilities and/or conditions will herbal tea will cause one’s cognitive functions to gradually drop, decreasing their intelligence and causing lethargy in the process.

Also, it’s implied that Saiko overcame her weakness of not being able to predict spontaneous or emotion-driven actions, but her plans and predictions are still not necessarily flawless.

The Intelligent Hero: Stratagem is going to be her codename.

You may joke about that but considering her IQ is close to 300 at the base, and with Herbal Tea, you'll get some Incredible Hulk shinanigans. Putting a new spin to the phrase "Knowledge is Power:

It does vary depending on how much IQ/cognitive functions she wants to drop. But since you brought it up, that pic is so far is good for what I imagine what her balanced in-between stage from Super-Genius to Hulkish Behemoth would be. Pic related would be more akin to full Unga Bunga/hulk smash. Though she still has her sense of reason, so she won't be completely going team killer on you. But is far more grumpy and simple-minded in addition to being more arrogant.

Ikiryō, the "living ghost". Why? Because we plan to haunt the SHIT out of AFO, and I'm pretty sure the spirits of our family are living on within us. In addition, with our wide array of abilities, we're actually really good at going wherever we want undetected, without a trace...we can even walk through walls without disturbing them, like a ghost. Or potentially possess people.
>>
>>4244408
Speaking of which....is it even possible for us to transform into a guy as a disguise?
>>
>>4244413

You don't have a shapeshifting quirk, while you have some quirks that can alter the form, they're not to the extent of directly altering your biology to turn into the opposite as True shapeshifters can do. The closest would be slime but it's still not convincing enough to look like a genuine 1 to 1 copy as anything that's shaped into that form is blue colored and sticky. And trying to make it solid would take additional energy. If you try combining it with Bubble Pop or use that you'll end up resembling >>4244405

In short, you need to find a shapeshifting quirk.

You don't need to but it would be nice for a setup for you to go with. So I'll wait before posting. I'll use my time for Q&A

>>4244427

Again I can work it in it but if you want a specific stealthy build then I'm willing to listen to your combo setup.
>>
>>4244429
It wasn't obvious before that an exact setup was necessary
All in One for moving through matter, Bound for levitation (If it works as though one were in a liquid, is it possible to get that spooky hair-rising-up thing that's in a lot of ghost movies?), Regeneration (It has a stipulation that you can control severed bodyparts, which sounds spooky as fuck if we ever temporarily lose a limb in the course of vigilantism...also the wounds vanishing on a ghost just makes sense to me), Air Force for presence masking and other various uses, Vapor for aesthetics (A thin ghostly fog around us helps to solidify the idea of a 'ghost' quirk).
That's the best I can think of for a generally Ikiryō-themed stealth setup. Regeneration is mostly in there in case we do run into combat with someone that we can't immediately take down - although I don't foresee that happening much, since we're a very high-tier fighter and if we can get off a surprise attack then shit'll be over practically before it starts.
>>
>>4244426
>>4244429
Finally found my old post about it.
>Seeing as our quirk can make up for the size difference between us and a wasp i would recommend carbon nanotubes for muscles, some sort of metal or composite for armor and our skeleton, guns, could absorb car parts and an engine to straight up copy ida's/ingenium's quirk, maybe steal one of U.A's test robots to get a bunch of upgrades in only 1 slot. Certain buildings and vehicles too since i recall Maruta saying we can do that somewhere.

With Saiko's help we can have even better machines to integrate like her hovercrafts and stuff, and with our new gun show quirk we can save a slot or absorb some weapons too boost it. There's also construction equipment and vehicles that i imagine will be easy to get with all the Quirk battles in this age, just one excavator would give us pneumatics, a engine, tracks, probably uses better material for it's structure than just the aluminum and plastic a commercial car would use, Jackhammers, general materials like steel and concrete. High pressure water jet cutters would also make for a pretty good weapon.

Again there's a lot we can do with machines and i can't come up with everything. What are we looking to do as a vigilante Maruta?
>>
>>4244444
Holy numbers, anon, look at that get!
>>
>>4244440

It's not but I still recommend it considering you're trying to avoid giving away clues to All for One that you're hunting him down. Hence why it's for the best to have another setup besides Animals in my honest opinion unless you really want to. I apologize for either way of not being clear enough.

To keep track of what I have so far to work with for combinations.

Titania (super-power, rebound, bound, self-control, regeneration, and muscle augmentation)

Ikiryō (All in One, Bound, Regeneration, Air Force, Vapor, and All or None)

I added All or none for your "possession" gimmick and yes you can do spooky hair-rising and hair covering your face for a max spook.

And lastly so far

>>4244444

Metallica (All in One integrating machines, Gun Show, Armory Arms, Loge, Dragon's Breath, and Super Power)

I threw in the best quirks to help with the whole cyborg vibe that you want to go. Full Terminator-style.

>>4244427
>>4244429
Ok if we're going for stealth here's some stuff for it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixbpOC7EI9Q
A Suppressed air rifle rifle like in the video can be used for when we're forced to fight while maintaining stealth as best as possible, with our Air force, Vapor, Amplification and Rotation quirk we can boost this adaptation greatly.

I can't find the video due to it sharing search results with "Quantum Invisibility cloak" bullshit but there's this cloak you can make out of basic materials that can hide you from thermal imaging, integrating that and combining it with our Chameleon quirk will help with stealth.

Carbon nanotubes and other artificial muscles are quiet so that will give us a strength boost without compromising stealth.
>>4244444
>>4244451
Damn, didn't even notice my own get.
>>
>>4244463
Forgot about Armory arms, that quirk will help alot for cyborg builds.
>>
>>4244463
>>4244465
Hmm...I'm torn between a cyber-stealth build and a ghost-stealth build now. There's clear benefits to both choices - integrating sensory equipment and cameras could really help for information gathering, after all.
And Cyborg is probably better in direct combat...plus it'd be showing off things we haven't really shown off before...hmmm...
I think I'm leaning towards the cyber-stealth build now, so I'll support that unless Ikiryō gets a surge of support.
>>
>>4244405

I'm still keeping an eye on this since I know you ould want to try and come up with a combo of your own but I can already assume Bubble Pop and I think Animorph into the core mix?

Listening to Shinra’s explanation put things into perspective. Whether if you want to or not, it seems that you were destined for more than just normal, everyday life. Whoever was in charge was now aware of your existence and knows exactly what underwent in terms of your original quirk merging with All for One and becoming the composite quirk All in One. A quirk that has been hammered to you that it was a weaker version of the original. And to everyone’s surprise, merging with your quirk pushed it into a new stage. A stage where it managed to virtually reach the same capabilities while offering new aspects and possibilities. Truly being more than the sum of their parts. Unknownst to you there’s a special aspect or component inside of you that was exceptionally valuable and the reason for the mutation.

Something in you that was the core element that allowed all this happenstance to come into fruition. From being blessed with an extremely resilient and adaptive body, drawing a quirk’s power to the fullest while cultivating it right off of the bat, controlling it and focusing the power into any extremity without recoil, and even refine/redefine and stabilized quirks to reach their true completed forms. There was something about you that was simply abnormal. And that’s not even going into the fact that your family’s remnant and essence currently flowing inside of you in one crystalline power network. Serving as the source of your abundant vitality & bio-energy and remarkably strong life force. A power source that was stored in your main quirk.

Having now experienced other life forces and one’s essence, you’re able to sense the abnormality with yourself. To an extent. Alongside that was the nomus. Recalling back to Maruta’s words, you’re a key component for taking those artificial humans to the next level. To what regards you didn’t know but having faced an Upper-tier Nomu made you incline to believe it wasn’t good. Making contact with the nomu left you feeling a familiar sensation. Out of all the things you integrated with, they were the easiest to amalgamate. You didn’t generally have noteworthy problem fusing with the matter but with them and Maruta, it was as if they were made for you and vice versa.

Killing a person is often seen as a necessary evil. In correlation with living in the wilderness, you understand the full value of the circle of life. Therefore, you know better than anyone the value of life. As a result, unless you have a very good reason for it, you generally chose not to kill someone. Deep down in your heart, you’re not a killer. Heck, you often give a small burial and prayer to all the organic life used to sustain your life. So having done what you did to Maruta left you feeling conflicted. Maruta practically spelled out that she’s been body-hopping since the beginning with her original quirk. So to her, the vessel that houses her essence were no different than Nomus.
>>
>>4244737

On closer discovery, you learn that there was one more quirk inside, a mutated emitter quirk called Stockhouse. Putting that aside, for now, you went back to analyzing the body. Why was the alteration and modification for housing quirks are needed you weren’t sure. Keeping in mind with what you went through, you feel like all of this was planned. That perhaps you were becoming ever closer to the biological superweapon they so desired. The very same weapon aimed at the symbol of peace. Thinking about these facts left you under a self-reflecting trip. A journey that you separate yourself from the group to reflect and disgust everything. Ultimately it leads to you emptying your baggage and emotional distraught in private.

Back then you couldn’t let yourself grieve and let it all out. Now alone you fully brought your inner walls down and began weeping. At the end of the day, you’re still a teenage girl. So being told you died once and housing your family inside of you did a real number to your mental condition. Worst yet was having the confirmation that they’re dead that left you heartbroken. Before you fell apart you were confronted by Saiko. Try as you may at keeping to your image, you fell apart at Saiko hounding questions. Realizing that she has you marked, you soon ended up breaking down and sob into her arms. For the first time in the past seven years, you finally found yourself crying. Having to remain strong and confident took a lot out of you, alerting Saiko of your own insecurity and phobia.

Having a heart to heart moment you start sharing the truth of your quirk, the forced mutations, the loss of your family, and the goal of being an experiment to subvert society. Keeping yourself from spilling the whole truth, you still told enough to properly explain your situation and trauma. Now knowing your situation only made Saiko grow closer to you. Instead of showing hostility what you got was genuine sympathy. Of course, she was upset about you trying to use half-truths to keep her from the core truth, but she was surprisingly understanding about your reason. In any case, Saiko put it upon herself to see this through to the very end. Against your attempts to get her to just protect herself, Saiko chose to fight alongside you to bring down the threats you currently face.
>>
>>4244739
if you dont delete this in one hour it will become permanent
>>
>>4244740

Realizing that you weren’t going to win in a battle of stubbornness, you thank your first friend for her dedication. Only for Saiko to admit that she was rather jealous and feeling insecure over your physical achievements and innate talents. To her, you seem like a superhero that could do anything outside of academia stuff. Of which you reveal to her all of your flaws and capabilities. Going as far as to admire what Saiko can do much like how she admired you. With newfound determination and a stronger bond, the two of you went to Shinra to tell him what you told Saiko. In addition, you request upon him also to guide and teach Saiko. Seeing the determined look in your eyes and the seriousness in Saiko, Shinra eventually agreed, asking Takeshi for help.

Afterward, the four of you discuss your future plans, resulting in Takeshi revealing himself as
Knuckleduster. A notorious vigilante whose’s quirkless, but his rigorous, extreme training made him into a monstrous powerhouse. Strangely you feel somehow connected to Takeshi as if you couldn’t put your finger on it but something about his current state was...familiar. Choosing to not dwell on it, you happily accepted his offer to teach you and Saiko the ropes before he returns to Naruhata. A place within Tokyo that’s not far from your current home in Musutafu. Talking with him you learn about the Villain Factory, the organization behind the trafficking of Trigger and the Instant Villains. Believing them to have a connection with the people who kidnapped you, you cooperated into forming an alliance with Takeshi.

In between enjoying your trip with your friends, both you and Saiko underwent your training. Under the instruction of Takeshi, you learn to further develop your senses, intuition, and tactical knowledge. Showing you the importance of observation and analysis before developing a counterplan to deal with enemies. For you who operated on trusting your gut and instinctively adjust and adapt to your enemies without thinking, it was hard doing it consciously. In comparison, Saiko was already absorbing the knowledge and teachings from both mentors almost instantly. Not surprising to you, you merely focused on acting this out rather than listening. Resulting in the knowledge coming to you in a more natural manner. Nevertheless, when it came to physical conditioning and training that’s where you truly shined.
>>
>>4244740

Unlike you, Saiko struggled far harder putting her accumulated knowledge to good use. Her physical skills are pretty underwhelming. While her physical prowess is above a teenager who engages in little to no strenuous physical activity, her stamina was abysmal. Thus you assisted in helping Saiko break her limits time after time again. Using your cell activation quirk to repair, restore, and improve her physical conditioning, you gave Saiko a means to routinely build up her physical capabilities. Of course, it was a matter of determination, which she has an abundant amount, it still left her feeling like she was going to die constantly. If nothing else, it was giving you the perfect chance to learn how to be an effective medic.

As for you, you spent your time undergoing more advance martial arts training and generally practicing with your new quirks to become proficient in them. Being in your field of expertise it all just came to you naturally, especially when doing instead of listening. Once again you’re able to draw 100% of your newly acquired quirks right away. Perhaps it was due in some way that’s connected to your main quirk All in One. At the same time, the image that serves as your blueprint came relatively quick to you while being crystal clear. Solidifying it and remembering the experience quickly and intuitively netted full understanding of your quirk without anyone having to explain it. Surpassing what normally trial and error can grant, it was clear to everyone that deep down you’re a natural-born hero. A true prodigy through and through.

More impressively was how you were able to formulate a training plan that maximizes Saiko’s gains while letting her safely adjust accordingly. When it came to teaching someone how to use their abilities and combat-ready, you were no different than Saiko. Doing for her what she does for you brought out potential and strength that the super-genius didn’t even know she had. It also helped that through your quirks you were finetuning and strengthening the body with each recovery period. Achieving what would normally take ten months of bodybuilding and conditioning in roughly less than a month. Gradually showing signs of improvement speed up the development time and overall progression. Having a body that can keep up with her mind made it easier for Saiko to learn and improve. Perhaps you were rubbing off on her.

I also did some minor edits to the profile, including covering the sleeping 4th quirk inside. The body that Maruta was using was enhanced to be on par with a upper-tier. Which areas mighty as ten average men on average.

https://bokunoheroacademia.fandom.com/wiki/Stock
>>
>>4244885

It's called Stockhouse, as it implies its to work alongside Super Power and All or Nothing for capture and containment alongside hiding backup inside. And no, she didn't have any extra Nomu inside. It was rather incomplete until you took it in. A sort of trojan horse.

Stockhouse (Emitter-Type/Mutation):

Due to the nature of this quirk, it is a composite of multiple several different ones with Stock being the center of the fusion. In retrospect, it allows one the ability to absorb attacks and store them up to release whenever they want. Be it attacks, energy, matter, and other empty spaces and store it within themselves. Those that are store within are encased in a dimensional pocket within the vacuum separate from one another. Safely preserved and protected for later usage. To this, one must "devour" the intended target, expanding their body to take in the newly acquired mass before contracting themselves back to the original form. Allowing them to become a sort of hammerspace capable of stockpiling mass without affecting their physical form if they so chose. One can choose to release the stored target(s) in one of two ways. The first being expulsion as the intended target is released in its original condition prior. The second method is breaking whatever is stored into pure metabolic power and converting it into kinetic energy before channeling and releasing it throughout the body. Consumption doesn't negate the damage when trying to devour an attack, and harmful targets while doable will cause the user to feel ill for a time as they adjust. While there's no limit to what one can devour, continuous and/or excessive consumption can leave one temporarily developing adverse effects on the body. For one to "Store" they must devour and swallow their target. A double-edged sword.

When you weren’t training or helping Saiko with her physical conditioning, you took to hitting the books. In light of your decision to track down and hunt the people who are after you, you still carry responsibilities as Nanako Yakumo. Having seen how earnest and diligent Saiko was to her training made you want to do the same with your academics. So you began toughing up and took to gathering and accumulating the knowledge into your mind. Doing this for as long as you have begun to gradually show results. Originally struggling to keep an average grade, you began to jump into a B+ student. A- on a really good day. Even without Saiko’s assistance, school life was becoming manageable to you in light of all your other responsibilities. Still, there were plenty of moments where you felt your brain clocking out in defeat.

As for your responsibilities as Luxana, it more or less went exactly how you came to expect. All your training and studying helped to make you more well rounded both inside and outside of the ring. No longer were you wasting precious energy or fighting sloppily. Even without your quirk, you were a natural-born combatant. In hand to hand, you reach the level of beating the average fighters through only utilizing martial prowess. Maximizing your raw power with fluid motion and precise finesse re-invented the wheel of your fighting art. While retaining your wild ferocity you display a calmer, smoothed, and control method of battle. Though you still ended up using gimmicks if only to keep things lively and make bank.

Continuous effort and hard work chipped away at your massive debt at a consistent yet remarkable pace. But more importantly, you further cemented your placement in Chisa’s group. Practically one of the guys, you rose from a mere grunt to a respected executive. Though you were always known as a babyface to the rest of the seniors and veterans despite keeping up with them. In a light ripping and comedic manner. During your handyman work, you went into a secure location to anonymously inform the coordinates of the island based in Okinawa to someone you trust. Sending the base to a pro hero seems like a no brainer, but you wanted to go to a relatively trustworthy one. Thus without hesitation, you picked Gang Orca to receive the information. Entering into his private account and covering your tracks was a child’s play.
>>
>>4245050

Having hacked into the tropical base previously it has seemed to still be abandoned. So you were sure that he wouldn’t run into anything too problematic. Leaving you to undergo the next step of your plan. Having gotten a real good hold of Loge, you managed to manifest those seed-trackers that was placed upon you. Smuggling those seeds and implanting them into everyone you care about didn’t take much effort. Really doing it without their notice was easier than you originally gave credit. The only ones you flat out told were Chisa, Shinra, Takeshi, and Saiko. A sort of precaution just in case someone would try to abduct them to get to you. You weren’t going to take any chances. The weapon that was used to keep track of your movements was now going to be their undoing as you aim to track their movements the same way. Finishing up with your preemptive protections, you collaborated with Saiko to begin your vigilante career.

Most would stick to making one identity as a vigilante, but you weren’t most people. For you, you made exactly four secret identities to freely switch upon due to the combinations of quirks. Utilizing quirk combinations you learned through training you established yourself as the titanic powerhouse Titania, the stealth specter Ikiryō, the multi-arsenal Dx Machina, and the explosive diva Popstar. Having these four combinations was a good way to throw people off while serving a specific role that you can interchange nigh-instantly. Most of all, it wouldn’t give away your identity. Neither as Nanako, Luxana, or the real you aka the nameless girl. Thereby granting you the means to track and hunt down the organization. Of course, there was one more reason for this setup.

Accompanying you on your path to vigilantism was an unlikely accomplice. Going by the name Stratagem, Saiko began assisting you from both on and off the scene. Adapting to the ways of the ninja (stealth, subterfuge, etcetera), Saiko took it upon herself to assist you in any way possible while keeping herself safe. Using technology and machinery including a worldwide communications network, Saiko proceed to give you the finest support one could ask for. Providing up-to-the-minute espionage and intel, as well as coordination and organization. As well as being better in computer operation and hacking than yourself though you were competing with essentially a living supercomputer. Be it the safety of the hideout or directly participating on the surface, she always seems to have your back.

Two months later, you were currently lying against your bed staring at your digital calendar. August 7th. Today is the day of your birth. It was a cool Saturday. A rather conflicted day since until this year you didn’t recall ever having a birthday. And even if you did you were far too busy with survival and your phantom thief duties to really get invested. Yet here you are, remembering your B-Day just in time for your sweet sixteen. Having made some progress with setting up your debut and trying out the new machinery that Saiko developed for your Machina identity, you were left now to dictate your next plan of action.

>Head to the junkyard as Machina and test your new gear with Saiko
>Take a trip to your old house and pay your respects

Staring deeply at the calendar you advert your eyes to the ceiling. Today was your special day and you couldn’t quite get into the spirit of things. Understandably when only now does it serve as a reminder to you of the life you once had. Of the people you once lived within their wholesome company. Even your father to a degree, when he wasn’t on his rampage about heroes. How ironic that you become more like the person that he rejected than the spitting image of what he wanted for his baby girl. Then again, life doesn’t always go like you would want it. Otherwise, you’d be in some popular hero school like U.A or Shiketsu learning the ropes of being a hero while having a normal school life.

Letting out a long sigh, you prop yourself back up into sitting position, arm resting on your knee. “Can’t be helped. Guess I’ve gotta go to that place if I want any closure.” You mutter, looking somberly at the wall.

Having taken a morning shower prior to your routine workout, it was only just now that you finally felt that morning freshness. Unlike most teens, you are a morning person as you did your morning exercise at four in the morning before going back to sleep. Getting dressed in an appropriate set of clothing you took care of your morning needs. To get yourself ready only took you less than an hour. The hard stuff was already out of your way so all you really needed was to feed yourself. An arbitrary process that could’ve been taken care of by siphoning solar energy after becoming a tree. But you weren’t willing to pass up having a hearty breakfast. With your gut now filled, you proceed to step outside and lock your house.

After locking your house you took a quick left down the street. Sneaking off to somewhere private you quickly initiate a certain transformation. Unhooking the state of the art hovercycle as the basis, you manifest and conjoint the series of mechanical parts that housed inside of you. In a magical girl fashion, your body integrates itself with the cybernetics, right down to the cellular level. Essentially becoming a cyborg though someone would argue that bio-android was more accurate to your amalgamation. Either way, your transformation into Machina went without a hitch. Scaling yourself to two meters instead of the eight meters standard from the combined mass, you ready yourself to take to the sky in subtle, quick fashion.
>>
>>4246147

In retrospect, it would’ve been simpler to take a bus to the Saitama Prefecture but that would’ve taken far too long for you. And flying over there in your Machina mode was far more liberating and efficient. Busting out your thrusters you ascended high into the sky with the added usage of a cloaking device for stealth. Traveling at cruising speeds you bask in the sensation of flying. To you, it was a bit unusual being comprised of machinery and cybernetics in light of what you generally fuse with. Not that you really was bothered having all the circuits operating inside. It was merely something that you needed to get used to hence transforming for mundane stuff such as this. But with smooth flying and fine-tuned aerodynamics, this was something you could get used to easily.

Arriving at the Saitama prefecture you follow the built-in GPS mapping system towards your destination. In your research, during your spare time, you took to looking for the name Nana Shimura. In your honest opinion, it was quite the goose hunt looking for any information on the heroine. It seems that her heroic career was completely obscured as if someone was trying to hide it. Even so, you found enough clues to find your father and through him find your home. According to the news it was labeled as an unknown tragedy as a large family all disappeared alongside their two-story house in a single night. Nobody knew exactly what was the cause, but some believe that the ground was...crumbling into dust.

It didn’t take you long before you found the empty space that was your former home. Silently descending to the ground, you start to look around to the desolation of these ruins. Despite it being years it seems that nobody took it upon themselves to build another house on these lands. As if the entire area was cursed, or so the locals would say. Regardless, you start to trek around the lands, darting your eyes slowly in an attempt to try and trigger your memories. It was...familiar to say the least. But without anything of your old life intact, it wasn’t going to do any good jogging any of your old memories. Still, coming here was the final nail needed to confirm what you kept yourself in denial all this time. Your family, your house, everything was gone.
>>
>>4246161

Waking up to that realization you start rustling through the remaining debris. Finding what was suitable for your needs you crafted a series of small tombstones. One for each of your family members, even one for your father. It wasn’t much and honestly nobody but you would really know the value of these self-made tombstones. But for you, it was enough. With the graves now made, you kneel to the ground, clapping your hands together and begin praying. Again doing this at a time like this was a little late for it to matter. Yet the fact you were doing it at all said a lot about coming to terms with your inner demons and making the first step to recovery. True recovery.

>Say a couple of words to your family and put your old identity to rest
>Silently pray some more before taking off back to your city

This power is unmistakable, He has awakened and marked Nanako as an anointed one. Those who tap into this power are soon destroyed by it. Cherish these moments friends, Maruta's burning resolve will be reduced to moldering embers of what he once was before they go out entirely.
>>
>>4246214
Might as well go with the day of the incident, and maybe the events that led up to it.
>>
>>4246217

You did. To keep yourself together you drawn in compatible components and energy to keep your form stable. That source cane from your family as they broke down.

>>4246219

Every little detail from the canon of the incident. Key difference is that you tried to take the blame and protect your brother but it didn't go well. Misunderstanding and a moment of weakness lead to Tenko taking the blame and thus festering your phobia and guilt complex. Because as the older sibling you failed to protect your younger sibling. Fail to be a hero like your grandma and realize that for all the good you tried, you're just the same as any other child. Self-centered.

>>4246221

Everything. He was the one who caused your family's end. You being the first victim as you try to calm him down and reassure him that you're going to get help after seeing what happened to the dog. But seeing him desperately reached out for you, you chose to embrace your brother. Slowly breaking apart while apologizing to him. Promising him that you'll always protect him, as his hero before crumbling away and triggering his sorrowful display of losing control. You also Remember your mother reaching out for him in the same way before crumbling. Your grandparents crumbling and your father trying everything he can to surive thus causing tenko to snap and kill him. Tenko didn't die, he's still out there somewhere. But you know AfO having something to do with it as you also Remember when you was a vegetable.
>>
>>4246232

It started with a long line of Tenko wanting to be a hero, going as far as to play pretend with his friends. But time after time again your father scold him by putting him outside in time out to get him to follow the one rule of no hero talk/worship. Due to the stress he started developing a rash and kept looking for his mother and grandparents to stop but they just quietly accept it. Leaving to him depending on you for moral support. Seeing him reaching the limit, you broke into your father's office to look for something in it to raise his spirits and bring hope into his eyes again. Thus finding the picture and letter and showing the picture to him. Unfortunately, things snowballed in the worst way possible as your father found out and tried to interrogate you. To which you lasted impressively well for a child, even pushing his button by pointing out his hypocrisy which led to him beating you in a fit of rage. Breaking from the pain and spilling out your brother's name. It was to be an act that you would deeply regret for the rest of your life.

What caused the destruction is a rare mutation quirk. Having experienced it first hand you know the ins and out to "Decay" and how his destructive impulses manifest as rashes. He really was regretful having "killed you" but the adults he didn't care about as he felt relief about it. But only for that moment as his moral compass came back and forced him to run away.

Any more questions?
>>
>>4246299
Not that I can think of at the moment. Although we might have some other questions later on.

Finishing your long period of silent prayers brought you a feeling of uneasiness. Though your actions are genuine it didn’t hold the same impact of importance that it should. Knowing that only made the butterflies in your stomach flutter harder. Breaking out of you of your silence. Staring at the tombstones of your family brought you solace in your time of grief. Guilt ran through your mind at not being able to remember clearly the faces and names of those you called family. Regardless of the reason, it was rather shameful of yo not recalling your previous life. The life before your spree as the nameless girl in the woods. The very same life that was otherwise stolen by you by whomever.

All of your discomfort and the long sense of emptiness was your subconscious trying to break through the murky fog. At the same time, you felt like the fog was there for an important reason. A reason for protection from the true weight of those memories carries. A gesture that is now lost upon you for discovering the fate of your family. Even when you try desperately to not think about it, there’s still the lingering presence of your family ever-present inside of you. Residing in the form of various remnants, it left you always aware of carrying something else inside. Until just recently your chakra was imbalanced and unstable due to this factor. Highlighting just how impressive you were able to draw up your full strength despite this handicap.

Having the multiple sources of your family’s life-force unified in a crystallized power structure served as a first major step to balance your inner turmoil and move past it. However, it means nothing of leaving the past behind if you didn’t know said past. No matter how you sliced it, you want to know who you are. To know about your origin and how much your family really means to you. Talking to them as Nanako Yakumo just didn’t sit well with you. In spite of any further pain or mental trauma, you commit yourself to face that hurdle. Otherwise, you feel like the weight of your survivor’s guilt would wear your down to the point of collapsing. Above all else, you want your identity back. Your real name.

From the bottom of your heart, you needed this closure. Sitting down and taking a meditative stance you start to relax through deep breathing. Cleansing your mind of all negativity, drowning out any distractions, quelling the rampant storm of guilt, and striving to achieve tranquility. By doing these steps it gradually rewarded you with absolute focus. The focus needed to stress press your mind through the murky fog. The old you would’ve done it through brute force, hurting yourself immensely in the process. Instead, you chose to take in the wisdom gained from your friends and utilize a careful approach. Taking all that you know of your past so far in conjunction with your environment to help your focus. The memories start to engrave your mind.

It was a couple of weeks in the past, during one of your long training sessions with Saiko. Having experienced the effects of the Herbal Tea for the first time, Saiko underwent an unforeseen transformation. The once sharp and non-intuitive super-genius was now reduced to a primitive and domineering brute. Trading her extremely high IQ for pure raw power and physical prowess. Unfortunately leading to a battle of strength, you were able to eventually snap the savage Saiko back to normal, though the process left her drain. Thus you help nurse her back to help.

“You know Nanako, the number on your back. The one that you said you always carried since awakening from the hospital.” Saiko points out, holding a bowl of soothing tea in her hand while still bedridden.

“Yeah what about it?” You ask, holding the teapot before setting it down.

“Having seen it myself, I’ve got to ask. Did you name yourself Nanako Yakumo precisely of that barcode tattoo on your neck?”

“Yeah, so what if it did influence my name.” You pouted with a loud huff.

“I think it’s cute. You really are like a child.” Saiko snickers.

“The fact you’re making chops at me sounds like you’re getting better.” You retort, letting it slide since she wasn’t wrong. And it wasn’t like she meant anything bad about it, especially since she called your name cute.

“But you know. If going by the same naming scheme, you can read the numbers as Hachi for eight and Nana for seven. So, wouldn’t it be more accurate to call yourself”

“Hachinana sounds terrible though. I think I’m fine with the name I have. It’s not like I’m in any rush to find out my real name. I used to go through life without one.”

“I suppose you’re right. But to me, isn’t it a little sad that you don’t know your real name? Without knowing your identity, how can you say you know who you really are? I think if I was in your position it would leave me feeling frustrated and unnerved not knowing who I am.

Pulling your black hair back, you showed Saiko your tattoo once again. “That’s why I haven’t removed it...Until I know who I am, I won’t remove this tattoo. “ You smile softly, resting your other hand against the tattoo in remanence.
>>
>>4247336

Seeing the somber look on your face, Saiko merely reels you over to sit right beside her. “That’s just like you.” Watching you do so, she pulls you into a light hug while holding her tea. “Anyway, how’s this for a name. “

In the past, you couldn’t fully hear the name that Saiko suggest. It was a name that resonated deeply in your heart, causing you to blackout upon hearing the name. Until now your mind blocked in any manner of announcement or reference towards that name. Having seen that flashback, the name starts to come to you. Followed by a series of flashes from various points of your life. From the moment of your birth to your resurrection in the doctor’s lab, all the memories came crashing at you at an intense speed. Regardless if you want it or not, the murky fog finally received as everything became clear to you.

Forced out of your meditation, you soon find yourself dropping to your knees in deep panting. Even in your cyborg state, your body broke out into a cold sweat from the experience. In your epiphany, you instinctively start to utter a single word. “Ha...na….”

Grabbing at your head you start recollecting the memories stored inside. Your name is Hana Shimura, the firstborn child of the Shimura household. Eldest sister to Tenko, it was your responsibility to look after your impressionable cinnamon bun of a brother and his passion for heroes. A mission that now knowing the truth brought you to the point of tears. With your memories coming back came with the realization of everything that happened. How your actions sturred the events that triggered the worst day of your entire life. The pain and guilt of setting off Tenko’s descent into despair. Your last chance at trying to save your brother, and seeing the deaths of your family in your reconstructing state. Even after being reduced to a compiled mess of flesh and blood, you were aware of everything.

This awareness followed to you even after your reconstruction. Every part of your cells screamed at your consciousness. Yelling with the desire to live. It was your responsibility to protect your brother and you couldn’t allow yourself to die. No matter the cost. As a result, you siphoned everything around you to help keep yourself together. Including your family’s fleeting lifeforce. A rush job that while successful left you in a vegetative state as you respawn in a debris pile, seemingly hidden from your brother’s eyes as guilt and sorrow took him over. One of your neighbors managed to find your unconscious body in the wreckage. Taking you to the hospital, you were put under the care of Daruma Ujiko. Publically pronounced dead, the doctor took you into his secret basement where he conversed with his benefactor.
>>
>>4247340

Despite your condition, you struggled to remain alive, alerting both the doctor and his partner in the process. Resulting in the businessman injecting you with strange energy which was now in retrospect your grandmother’s thanks to a vitality quirk he manifests. After essentially putting you back together, the businessman left the doctor engineer and modified your body. Taking you apart during the harvesting, the doctor came to discover a special gene factor inside your cellular makeup and blood. Having undergone decay at its full power awaken a sleeping mutation. In conjunction with the abundant life-force coursing through your body, your quirk underwent a form of evolution. A greater varation of what awakening normally dictated due to the extremity of the ordeal and the donation of quirk factors and bioenergy from your family.

Carrying with it a special property that cultivates and repairs the body’s makeup, allowing for one’s quirk factor to be mended, developed, and mutate further into a new state to diffuse any defects or missing pieces upon restoration. Alongside that was the unique genetic makeup, capable of completely accept any new genetic material, be it tissue, organs, or entire limbs, without a chance of rejection, allowing you to fully integrate it into your being. The missing piece needed to adapt and acclimate to the 'fusion' aspect of quirk insertion and bring forth singularity.

As a result, you were taking apart, harvest, and reconstructed, again and again, to replicate and engineer that special factor after having undergone the insertion of All for One, addition quirk insertions and body modification connected to the proto-nomuization. To your horror, you were fully aware of all of it. Every waking moment your mind was conscious of what was happening but not once were you able to speak and voice your terror. Keeping yourself sane from the Frankenstein process meant shattering your mind and suppressing the memories to the depth of your subconscious. After that, you were put into the status pod until full stabilization. Surrounded by other subjects, you were left spending your next years in captivity as a lab rat.
>>
>>4247369

Returning to the present, your eyes lid up in a frantic flutter. The hyperventilation coming to a gradual stop as everything now came to the picture. The experiments, the grooming, the tests, the desolation of loneliness, and the harvesting. All of it was clear as day as you pull yourself from the ground. Staring at the grave of your brother Tenko, your face under the vizor starts to contort into a sorrowful expression. Held together only by the smile coming from your nervous laughter condition, a feeling of melancholy came to you in a gushing wave. Tears start seeding from the mask.

“..Yeah, that’s right. I’m Hana Shimura...and I died…”

Receding your transformation as Machina back into your storage, you return to your civilian appearance. The tears just continue to pour out of your eyes with no end in sight. In hindsight, it was only natural that your mind obscures the memories of your past to avoid the full brunt of your trauma. As well as the weight it carries. Having unlocked all of your memories left you feeling tremendous sorrow. Compared to the PTSD prior this was multiplied by tenfold. If not by roughly a hundred. Most girls your age would be making sure their sweet sixteenth was going by smoothly. But for you, the only thing that you felt at this moment was the familiar taste of despair. Even so, you weren’t going to run away from this.

Rather than bottle up your feelings and pretending everything is alright. You chose to let it all out. Allowing you to give grief its much needed due. Tearing down the mighty wall around your emotions, you fully open up and embrace all of your memories. Taking the good with the bad simultaneously. As painful as it is, you didn’t want to forget, you didn’t want to deny your feelings, and you couldn’t bring yourself to discard your past. Though you won’t let it chain you down, there was solace in now knowing the truth. It’s those experiences that shaped you into the person that you are currently. Both as Nanako and Hana. So why should you have to choose between the two?

Like two sides of a coin, they are the duality that defines you. And you weren’t going to have it any other way. Accepting this truth causes a metaphorical manifestation of yourself at seven years old to appear in front of you. Wearing the same yellow sailor dress as that night, the younger incarnation smiles softly at you. Brought to tears at you finally acknowledging her and accepting her by uncovering the truth. It wasn’t just her as you begin to see other manifestations start to appear. First, it was your mother, then your brother, your grandma, your grandpa, and even your dad. Everyone, including your pet dog, stood right beside your younger self, all giving a reassuring smile at you.

Offering her hand to you, your younger self briefly looks to everyone before turning back to you. “Don’t ever forget Hana…”

“We’re always here with you.” Standing from behind you was the spitting image of your grandma Nana. Placing her hands against your shoulders, dissipating the heavyweight and heartache you was carrying for so long.

“I know.” Closing your eyes, you brush your eyes as you touch Nana’s hand. You didn’t care if this was real or not. This was the exact closure that you wanted. That you needed to put everything into perspective. And finally, bring forth a brand new day. “I won’t ever forget.”
>>
>>4247695

Giving the biggest of warm smiles, you greet your family with newfound appreciation. “So thank you, and please. Continue watching me until the very end.”

Nodding in unison, each of them starts to go back into your heart. With Nana being the second to last one as yourself follow alongside her. Holding hands with your grandma, symbolizing the complacent at reconnecting to your roots, and your original dream. Blinky softly you place your hands at the wreckage. With the memory fresh in your mind, your hands begin to glow. Even if it’s been seven years since that faithful day, even if not all the pieces were there, you were set on making the difference. In mere moments the debris starts to gather around, drawing all the pieces scattered around the wasteland. Anything that was missing you replaced with your stamina. Yet it seems the siphoning effect was able to draw in the atoms that comprised the architect. Through strenuous effort, you manage to reconstruct your old home from the debris.

Thankfully the entire complex was empty so nobody was going to disturb you. Though you couldn’t stay for long as bringing a house from seemingly out of nowhere would bring a lot of questions. Staring at the building you took to notice that everything from that moment was exactly how it was prior to that moment. Smiling to yourself, you turn to sit back to the set of graves made to your family. Now knowing that you had a pet dog you quickly made out another grave for your trusty pet. Once that settled, you took to make another prayer. A proper prayer this time as Hana Shimura.

“Hey, it’s me. Hana Shimura. I know that it’s rather rude of me for not coming here. I’ve been dealing with a lot of baggage. You know, defying death through your help, undergoing experimentations and harvesting, losing my memories, living in the wilderness, wandering town to town looking for meaning, and building myself a normal life. I’ve done a lot of things that I’m not proud of now having gained my memories and conscience. Stealing to survive is one thing, but I did a number of crimes based on my own hedonism.” You tilt your head in shame, like a child being scolded for their shortcomings and misdeeds. Turning your head to your father’s grave, you recall the memory of eavesdropping on your family confronting your father and how he wanted to apologize.
>>
>>4247698

“Father. You were primarily the reason for those crimes. Even without my memorious, subconsciously I hated you. I hated what you did to my baby brother. I hated what you were doing to this family. I hated how you rejected grandma and chose to stay adamant to that stupid rule than being supportive of our wishes. As a result, I’ve subconsciously been targeting men who resemble you for my heists. Mainly bad men that nobody would bat an eye if their things were stolen. I gave what I stole to charity, but the objects I took I’ve to keep as a souvenir. And the money I’ve kept I put into my personal savings for my job as a phantom thief. I think deep down, rather than looking for kicks to stimulate my hollowed and empty life, I wanted to prove to you that I can do it. That I’m strong and that I can overcome the ironclad rules of the adults.” You explain bluntly. There was some resentment in your voice. You couldn’t bring yourself to forgive your father, just like how you couldn’t forgive yourself for cracking and further adding to your brother’s pain. But at least, you could understand him.

Keeping yourself from losing your cool, you return your gaze to the other graves. “I also fought with heroes whenever I got the chance. To not only prove my strength is the real deal, but to also see what’s so special about them. Most of the heroes I’ve fought were fakes. Mere pretenders and far cries from what the heroes I used to worship as a child. The only exception was Mr. Orca, but I didn’t get a proper bout with him and had to cheat to win. It’s only after his words that I’ve started questioning what I’ve been doing, what I want to be, and where to go from there. It ultimately led me into the UFA, a place where I fight quirk users in fight club fashion. And I’ve loved every second of it, but it’s only through meeting my mentor and the boss that my life started to turn around.”

“Not once did I think I would get the chance to experience a normal life. To have friends, to do all the things I’ve missed, to experience the world I’d left behind. And…” Closing your eyes brought another memory. A memory of you being carried away by a man in a trenchcoat. A middle-aged man who was half-beaten and weary but still determined to get you safely. Luck would come to his side as a hero with blond hair and a heroic smile bust into the scene at the nick of time. The only things you could remember clearly was him reassuring the man that he is here and the trenchcoat man asking the hero to take you away, somewhere far away from where he couldn’t get his hands on you while he stayed behind for coverage. The memory was still blurry given your broken state but you knew the importance of your rescue. “..To live a life befitting to the hero who saved me from the base I’ve been imprisoned too. As well as the person who risked his life helping me escape.”
>>
>>4247703

“Sometimes I wonder if I really deserve to live a normal life. If I deserve the right to be happy despite everything. I talked about wanting to be a hero for so long that I ended up being the exact opposite of one. You must really be disappointed with me.” You bow your head in remorse. “But what’s done is done. All I can do now is move forward and try to atone the only way possible. I won’t let myself run astray or lose myself ever again.”

“...Somewhere out there I know my brother is still out there. It’s a gut feeling but I know he didn’t die as Maruta said. And I feel like in some way he’s in some serious trouble. The same trouble that happened to me with whoever given me All for One. That’s why...I can’t keep going like this.“ Gripping your hand into a fist, you made a determined look on your face. Finally coming to terms with everything. It wasn’t much but for the first time, you genuinely felt at ease and reassured that everything was going to be alright.

“I promise all of you. I will find Tenko, and I’ll keep my promise to him. Consider it my pledge on my path to making amends and repaying the life that was saved.”

Turning your head to the extra grave you made for your grandma. “Grandma Nana, I might not be able to become a hero, but I’ll do my best to finish your fight and make sure nobody else ends up just like my family. This society is far from perfect and in a way, it’s riddled with deep-seated problems. Problems that you don’t need to be a hero to solve. Still, I can’t condole with destroying society just to build a world run by their warped viewpoints. All I can do...is fight. For tomorrow. As Nanako Yakumo….and Hana Shimura.”

Having come to terms with your identity and making peace with your deceased family you reformed your cybernetic transformation into Machina. Taking one final look at the graves gave a bittersweet feeling. But in all of your melancholy, there was a reassuring comfort that serves as the light at the end of the tunnel. With a hop and a skip, you took off into the sky. Covering massive grounds in a single leap. Reaching the exact range to avoid detection, you switch to exerting your thrusts and realign your boosters to switch into jet propulsion induced flight.

Achieving flighter jet speeds, you soar smoothly through the air while retaining the element of stealth. You really have to give credit where credit is due to Saiko’s craft. Even without full integration, the powered exoskeleton and cybernetics fully intuned with your biology in perfect harmony. Achieving what is otherwise the pinnacle of biomechatronics, this specialized mechanized bio-suit was made to amplify and optimize your physical capabilities especially your quirk All in One. As well as reduce the stress of said quirk to achieve at least 120% without adverse effects. That alone more than justified its creation but there were many additional benefits it carries.

Upon command, it’s able to be dispersed and conjoint at remarkable speeds, allowing to change forms based on the specific task thanks to the nanobots used to construct it. As well as infuse carbon nanotubes and other artificial metallic alloys for your muscles, tissues, and skeleton for a variety of applications. Chimeratech Astheno, it is the name you decided on this multi-arsenal power suit. Though only in Mk-I compared to the prototype, it was really demonstrating exceptional performance. So much in fact at times you forget that you’re currently encased in cybernetic prosthetics. It’ll be disturbing if you didn’t found the entire experience awesome.

Retaining cruising speeds that put buses to shame, you arrived at a fair distance from Might Tower in just roughly ten minutes. Landing near an inconspicuous area, you deactivate and contain your bio-suit. Returning to your original appearance as Hana Shimura. Wearing only a sleeveless sporty vest with a cat-shaped hood and black sleeveless shirt worn under, black-and-white fingerless gloves, gray-white jogging pants with black stripe designs, yellow rubber shoes, and matching hairbands. It gave a clear impression of the real you. A spunky tomboy that loves animals and fighting.
>>
>>4248890

Given how your other identities require integrating animals to maintain, at least until recently with your complete merger of the chameleon nomu, it was strange not being a consolidation of some outside source. It felt like you were bare and fully exposed. Brushing the embarrassing vibes, you walked the remainder of the way to Might Tower. Giving yourself enough time to plan your course of action. Having your memories restored, you know one of the two people that saved you was the number one hero All Might. It was only thanks to him that he was able to keep you safe from the mutated Artificial Humans that served as the prototypes for the Nomu.

Knowing this made you felt bad that you left the hospital and put a lot of stress upon those who rescued you. But you couldn’t fully explain it. Somehow it was as if your instincts were telling you to leave the medical ward at all costs. Considering your track record with medical areas, it was only understandable that you freak out the way you did. Still, that was no excuse. Who knows what kind of guilt your actions must have brought. For all, he knew you could’ve been lost somewhere or worse. And he had to deal with that knowledge for seven years.

Shaking your head and slapping your face, you kept yourself from getting depressed. What’s done is done. All you can do right now is meet with All Might and converse with him with the full intent of telling him everything. You owe it to him to give a proper thank you and to reveal as much information you can. Even if it ends up putting you into serious trouble, you still felt the need to do this. Most of all, you want to believe in the man who saved you. Stepping inside the luxurious, skyscraper-type building, you walk through the necessary routes. Eventually, it leads you to a receptionist’s office with the main worker. A woman with dark greenish-black hair and a cheerful expression.

“Hello, this is the Might Tower residence. How can we help you today?” The woman asks in a polite, helpful tone.

“Could you tell him that a girl named Hana Shimura is looking for him. She’s the missing child from the Tokyo hospital seven years ago. The very same nine-year-old girl he saved from back then. Granddaughter of Nana Shimura.” You explain. Considering how busy the number one hero is it wouldn’t be surprising if your request would be put on hold. Or at worst denied. Still, you’re hoping that luck would be on your side.
>>
>>4248891

Staring with a concerned look, the female receptionist tilts her head upwards to see someone else coming in. A soft smile quickly replaced her previous expression. “There’s no need, he’s already here.”

On cue, you turn around to see what appears to be a very large man with an equally-muscular and well-defined physique. Short blond swept backward, with two distinct tufts that stick up above his head, bright blue eyes brimming with strength and warmth, and a tan, healthy complexion. Comparing his appearance to back then, he wasn’t wearing the black and red skin-tight bodysuit dubbed the bronze age. Instead, he was wearing the sleek silver age costume inspired by the USA colors with golden gloves and boots. Standing in front this towering symbol of justice all but confirmed the feeling. He was the one. The hero who saved you. The strongest hero, All Might.

“Shimura…” All Might paused, his eyes widen deeply upon hearing your name. His charismatic, heroic smile crumbling as he jitters in shock. Slowly moving over to you for further inspection. “Are you really related to Nana Shimura? That Shimura.”

Nodding to your head, you smile at All Might. “Yeah, that’s me.”

Keeping himself from shedding tears, All Might gave a friendly hug, patting you on your head. “Ahahaha, oh wow. Talk about a fortunate happenstance. Not only the young, frightened girl still clinging to life is standing in front of me, and she’s the granddaughter of my master. I’m truly grateful that you’re still okay in one piece.”

“Wait, hold on! You’re a student of my grandma?!” You blinked in shock.

Pulling away from you, All Might place his hands on your broad shoulders. “I’m sure you got a lot of questions as I do too. But let’s talk about this somewhere private Young Shimura.”

“Right.”

Walking alongside All Might you took your eyes gazing around the scenery. Now you expected the number one hero to have an impressive agency befitting of his status. However, even you didn’t come close to visualizing just how extravagant and vast the Might Tower was going to be. Each floor had something to it that you didn’t expect an agency to carry. Things like a clothing line for costume, a general tech & support room, a workout station, even a place that handles merchandising. It left you feeling a bit discombobulated as you continue the rundown. Passing through the rows of offices and things you did expect in an agency, you find yourself making your way towards the cafeteria.

Keeping your hands through your pocket you took a moment to catch your breath. Having to climb up so many rows of stars did a real number on your legs. The elevators were all in usage and while the anti-gravity tech used on your machinery was to counterbalance the immense weight. There was still the matter of your typical three hundred pound body on a five-foot and eight inches frame. Note that this is while being densely compressed for your default form. As the new and improved Nanako, you shot up at six feet and six inches with nearly double your weight. A byproduct of merging with those nomus.

Paranoia made you believe that if you took the elevator you might cause some unwanted complication. Besides this way allowed you to see the Might Tower in all of its glory. As you made your way inside you notice the cafeteria was more like a fancy diner than a base for getting grub. Responding with a mere shrug you continue following All Might as he leads you to far left. Where he heading appears to be a window seat in the third row. A clear window view of the people down below without any of the trees blocking the way. Choosing to take the first seat you can grab, you sat in the forward spot, leaving All Might to take the opposite end.

“My apologies for having you scaling through such a tall building. Even though I have my own personal office at the top, it’s rather hard for me to relax. I don’t do well with those top floor offices. Not to mention this is my favorite seat in the cafeteria. Here I can keep an eye on all the townspeople from here.” All Might apologizes, showing a rather humble and politeness that you didn’t expect the number one to have.

“Right, I understand. If I was in your position, I’d like to keep myself grounded instead of looking from the peak of the summit.” Waving off the inconvenience, you turn your eyes to the other tables with a slightly worried expression. “But aren’t you worried that discussing here in a place like this...kinda defeats the point of privacy?”
>>
>>4249257

“Don’t worry. This place is currently vacant and blocked off from anyone looking to enter this section of the cafeteria wing. We can communicate here without any eavesdropping.”

“Okay, if you say that nobody will be able to peer to our conversation then that’s good enough for me.” You smile, reaching over for a menu.

“This will be a rather long conversation so feel free to order anything you like. It’s on me.” All Might offers, clapping his hand together.

“Well I appreciate the offer...but you’re going to come to regret that. I have a rather voracious appetite.”

“Nonsense, I’ll cover any expenses. So don’t limit yourself on my account.”

“Well, if you say so…” Having finished reading the entire menu, you peer over to a holographic monitor to speak with the digital waitress. “I’ll have one of everything.” You say bluntly with a cheery smile.

“Oh my goodness.” All Might muttered in shock. He sweated a bit at what he was getting himself into.

All jokes aside you took a moment to get your thoughts together. This was a delicate topic that requires tact, planning, and finesse to condense sixteen years of your life into an abridged story. Some part of you didn’t exactly sit well with the idea of spilling absolutely everything. The things about working for Chisa you were set on keeping it a secret for obvious reasons. But everything else, all the actions you did, all the choices you made, all of it was going to come out in the open. The only other people you told this were Saiko, Shinra, and Chisa. Two-thirds were already operating on a morally gray side and Saiko was your classmate.

Yet you couldn’t deny that there was something trustworthy about All Might that eased your concerns. Thus without further hesitation, you begin summarizing your whole story. Not even giving it for any sort of stipulation you told the whole truth to All Might. From start to finish you covered everything from your early childhood, the descent that led to your family untimely demise, your trip to the hospital, your kidnapping into the best, the experimentations, your reawakening and escape into the wilderness, the years spent training, your criminal activities, the battle with heroes, your soul searching into finding a master, your path into having a normal school life, to finally your kidnapping and self-realization.

Everything that happened was now in All Might’s knowledge as he gave you his full attention. The look of his eyes was a man who deeply cared about your wellbeing. But also carried a burning rage. Not towards you but rather the people who did this to you. The Doctor and his benefactor. It’s only when you start diving into your quirk that it sealed the deal on his suspicions. From what you can tell, there was some serious bad blood between him and the one who gave you all for one. Chosen to remain silent, All Might watches you explain your quirk after finishing your story. Seeing it in action put All Might into a complicated state of emotions for reasons you couldn’t fathom yet. In the end, you shared everything you uncovered about the act before diving into your theories.

“That’s all I have. I know that’s a lot to digest and honestly, I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t look at me fondly anymore after hearing about what I did. I make no excuses. “ You lament, staring down at your drink. A feeling of shame loomed over having to explain yourself to the man your grandmother taught. You wanted to learn more about Nana, to know more about All Might and what exactly does it mean being a hero. But before all of that, you needed to put yourself past this darkest hour to get your life back in order.

“So, that’s what happened. After putting her son into the care of her relatives, he went and started his own family before causing it to collapse. Afterward, your brother’s quirk manifested into a rare mutation and cause your family untimely end. But you refused to give up and accept death, hence your quirk’s awakening and mutation, thus allowing you to put yourself back together in the nick of time. Only then due to an unfortunate turn of events end up in captivity and experimented upon by All for One’s associates.” All Might muses, stroking his chin as he abridges your explanation to retain the knowledge.

“That’s right. You know the rest after busting me out. How my fear of returning to that wretched place pushed me to run into the wilderness. How I spent myself training feverously trying to beat away my weaknesses and insecurities. To be like the lion. Strong, courageous, and imposing so that I’d never had to live in constant fear again. It was the only way I could live without my memories. And once I was strong enough, I wanted to prove my strength was real. Hence why I robbed from bad men to give to the charity. Truthfully it was a subconscious impulse against my abusive father. But I didn’t care, pulling off those heists and fighting the heroes that came after I was the only time I’ve felt truly alive since the incident. As if time was moving forward, but I couldn’t be any more wrong. And it took me hospitalizing the closest thing to an adult I genuinely respect to slowly realize the folly of my actions. “
>>
>>4249288

Taking a deep breath, you pull yourself from the cup to look at All Might. “I did a lot of stupid things that I thought were important. As a result, I missed out on what is truly important. Having turned my life around to have a normal life. Having tasted what I’ve been missing. Now, I can truly say that in all my efforts to become strong, I wasn’t able to become strong where it really mattered most. In the end, I was just a frightened child throwing a tantrum. Unable to face the truth and lashing out on others. Running away from my problems and acting solely on hedonism in a negative way. It’s only thanks to the circumstances that I went through recently that I began making the first step to moving past my trauma, living in the present with time moving forward at long last.”

“It may be selfish for me to say this, and I know I don’t have the right to. But even so, I have to do this. So I’m willing to atone and pay for all the damages that I’ve done. At the same time, I’ve can’t let myself be imprisoned. Not when I have the chance to help out more people than just sitting in some jail cell waiting until my debt is paid. I can’t protect those that matter most to me nor make sure nobody else has to go through what I’ve been through. The people who are after me are still out there, waiting for the chance to recapture me or worse. I can’t do anything to prevent that from happening if I’m put into a position where I can’t act. “Gripping your hands tightly against the cup, you gave a firm look to All Might. Filled with regret but determination, you knew deep in your heart

“Also, I made a promise to my little brother that I’ll be his hero. That’s why I want to do whatever I can to help. What exactly I can do with this quirk All in One. How can I use it to stop their plans, find my brother, and help those in need? The doctor and the person who gave All for one to me valued my DNA for their plans to tear down society, so in that case, surely my composition can help out a lot of people too. “

“Before I say anything, I need to know one thing, Young Shimura. Why tell me all of this? Surely you know what would happen if you reveal these confidential facts to a pro hero, much less the number one and symbol of peace.” All Might queries, keeping a straight face despite his concerns. Hearing the granddaughter of his master’s life story left him feeling a wave of sorrow and grief. As if he was at fault for not stepping in when he should’ve instead of abiding by his master’s last wishes. Maybe then things would have been different. But at the same time, he knew such thoughts were arrogant and unneeded. What’s done is done. What you do with this knowledge is what truly matters.
>>
>>4249305

“Because you of all people deserved to hear the truth. Because I’m done trying to live a lie and keep running away from my problems. When I’m with the people who give me light in the bottomless darkness that loomed over me. It makes me want to be standing beside them with my head held up high. That I no longer have to lie to them about my actions or feel like I don’t deserve to be with them. I don’t want to live a life filled with guilt and regret. But most of all, I want to be someone that I can make my grandma, my family, everyone I cherish most proud.”

“I told you everything I have to say. So it’s my turn to listen to what you have to say.”

“To tell you the truth, when I first started to listen to your story about how you ended up I’ve had my share of grievances and doubts. But now I know there’s not a single in my mind. You really do carry your grandma’s spirit. “

Blinking in confusion you feel completely uneased as you confront All Might towards his reasoning. “I don’t get it. After everything I have done, I’m anything but a hero like my grandma. I don’t even know where I even stand. I can’t exactly say that I’m not doing this out of some sort of guilt and remorse to some degree. Or I’m just looking for retribution so I can have peace of mind. Unlike most, I don’t believe in our society. At least, in the aspect where you need to be a hero to help out others. That you need a label or jurisdiction to do what needs to be done. I know what I’m saying can be viewed as the ramifications of a rebellious teen with abrasiveness towards authority. Even so, I know for a fact things can’t continue like this if we keep depending on heroes to do things we should be capable of ourselves. Otherwise, how can we call ourselves human if we choose to look a blind eye and turn the other cheek?”

“And that all the more proves my point. The true making of a hero is someone who acts before their mind has a chance to think. Most people believe that being a hero is about the publicity, flashiness, or getting to use their quirks however they see fit for heroics without prosecution. They forget that once upon a time that heroes weren’t a job profession or a title. Back then a hero was someone who helped the community and came to the aid of others without any reward or recognition. In other words, it was exactly how you envision how we people should be.” All Might explains.

“Okay but that doesn’t change the facts of my actions. I..dodon't deserve to be praised or compared to my grandma.” You paused.
>>
>>4249377

“Sure you lost yourself in the confusion, let yourself astray, and did many things you’re not proud of. But at the end of the day, in your own way you been trying to put your life back together. And most of all, deep down you’re a good person. If you weren’t such a person then you wouldn’t have the self-awareness and insight to realize your mistakes, much less have the resolve and heart to want to correct them.“Upon saying that All Might starts to place his hand on your head, giving you a pat of reassurance despite your self-defeating attitude.

“Your grandma once told me if you have to save someone, that means they’re most likely gone through something terrifying. They are frightened and filled with despair and pain. Real heroes don’t just save lives, they also save a person’s hearts too. “ Placing his hand against his face, All Might makes a charismatic smile. Resembling the same can-do spirit that his master carried. “No matter how scared you are, you should bear down and smile to show that things will be okay. In this world, the ones who are always smiling are the ones who are the strongest.”

You weren’t sure why but those words deeply resonated with your heart. Nearly bringing yourself to tears in the process. You kept your mouth shut.

“As for your quirk. Don’t ever feel ashamed about it. While it’s true that it came from an unlikely source dripped with darkness, it doesn’t have to stay that way. You went through a long and hard road making it your own. So take this to heart. Children often do inherent things from their parents, much like quirks. Or develop similar aspects like powersets. The most important thing to remember, regardless of your origin, circumstances, or those who you’re connected with, what you have inside is what you make of it. The only one who can decide what you do with it is yourself. That’s the true meaning of why I say I am here. You’re free to choose to be whomever you want, including being a hero. No one else.”

"All Might..." You muttered, holding back your tears.

“And if I am to be honest. You’re doing a fine job deciding on how you want to use this power. If what you tell me is true, I think it’s imperative that we cooperate with each other especially since we have a common goal. We both want to stop all for one, and we want to do what we can to help and save others.”
>>
>>4249391

“Now I imagine that we can straighten things out with law enforcement. Find some way to meet with the coming ground and use your gifts for good like you want without having to be put in the juvenile correction center. Course, that would also mean you’ll be my responsibility. It isn’t much but work with me, Young Shimura. I’ll do whatever I can to help you track down your brother and help those in need. There are many ways that you can choose to participate and help people out. But if your childhood dream is still as strong as ever. Then you can walk down the path alongside me. Far beyond only following the path of redemption. The right path. The path of a true hero.” All might asks, offering his hand to you.

“Allow me to assist you and give you a second lease on life.”

All for One is a tricky son of a bitch. If a rule can benefit him, you can bet he'll be using it to his advantage. The slowness of the system, because the system demands that things be done in a certain order, is a huge advantage for people like him. I assume that we won't be going to a hero school like U.A because we want to keep our quiet life as Nanako. So there would have to be an auditory alternative to get our hero license like some sort of field test or government acceptance like Hawks. So if we look it like that we still have to have multiple identities to operate in the shadows. Like sine sort of dark hero, just like hawks. And while we go through the wire we'd probably still be doing vigilante work. Seem to me the best of both worlds but do we want to do the hawks approach.

Just to be sure on your course of action, are you looking to be a full self-independent vigilante with the full pros and cons, an underground hero working under the shadows like Eraserhead with pseudo-freedom like a vigilante, an acceptive special operative by the Hero Public Safety Commission like Hawks, or some other special force against AfO.

Because those options are available if you don't want the straight, narrow path of a public hero.

An underground hero seems like a fair compromise. Get to act on our own out of the conventional system while still having the potential to act in the light without fear of being prosecuted by the police, HPSC or other heroes. And its not like it goes against our revelation or desire for multiple identities. If anything it be more justifiable.

A dream, this must have been some sort of dream. When you came to Might Tower, you came with the full intention of telling the truth. You even expected to get reprimanded and attempted apprehended by the number one hero at least. Compared to the crimes of actual villains and scumbags, yours was pretty light as you only went after bad people and fought heroes. That said, a crime is still a crime and if intentions were the deciding factor of whether or not it was okay then there wouldn’t be a need for laws. So getting sent to juvenile and having to pay a fine with probation was the likely outcome. You wouldn’t let yourself get caught but you were prepared for such an outcome nonetheless.

So why is it that seeing All Might, the man who saved you all those years ago not only refuses to condemn you but also assists you in your path of redemption left you discombobulated. With the offer of helping you establish a second chance. It was almost too good to be true. No, you felt that it was too good to be true. And yet the very act of him giving you a helping hand left you on the brink of tears. After recovering your memories, the guilt inside your heart magnified immensely as the truth made you fully aware of the gravity of your actions. The Nomus that you fought was compatible both because of your own genes but also because of that same factor being used to help improve and structure them accordingly.

So in a way, you felt deeply responsible for the Nomu project as its catalyst. Who knows what other projects your cells could be fueling or assisting. Truthfully it wasn’t exactly right putting the blame of all of this on a teenage girl. But you yourself felt unworthy to sit in the light. To be on the same pedestal as your grandmother, the very same realm that you wanted to embark alongside your kid brother. In your eyes, you failed to save him, so how exactly were you going to be able to save others the same way your grandma and All Might are able to. It all seems impossible for you. Yet neither one of them believed that as evident by All Might’s offer. There was something in you that he could clearly see. Your true value.

Reaching for his hand ever slightly, you stop yourself just mere inches from touching it before gently grabbing the wrist instead. Twisting your nervous smile into a soft, serious blank expression. “Thank you All Might. I really appreciate the offer. You have no idea how happy it makes me feel. However...”

“However?” All Might queries.
>>
>>4251369

“I don’t think I’m worthy fit to stand in the same light as you or my grandma. It would make me feel all the more guilty if your reputation is stained just by associating yourself with a criminal like me. You’re the symbol of peace. The shining beacon of hope for the people. You shouldn’t put that at risk just to help me on my path to redemption. You shouldn’t play favorites.” You brought up to attention. Strongly getting the feeling that his connection to your grandmother might be having some part in this. Even if that wasn’t the case, you didn’t want to drag such a kind man down with you.

“I feel like I can do my best where I’ve been doing for the past two months. Working from the shadows, doing what needs to be done even without being accepted by officials.”

“That’s vigilantism Young Shimura. It’s not exactly a welcoming path as it’s filled with danger not from the villains’ side but from the officials, both pro heroes, and the police will be hunting you down. That is so long as you use your quirk and illegally perform heroic duties.” All Might explains, giving off a more stern expression while still hearing you out.

“Well, it’s not like being an official hero will make it any easier. From what I can gather about the doctor and his benefactor, they work in the shadows. Such scheming villains are most likely masters of their craft. For all the good the law does for the people and society, it isn’t perfect. There’s only so much it can do before hitting a roadblock or reaching its limits. I’ve seen it plenty of time during my time as a phantom thief just how crafty people can be.“ You empathize, implying full well just how ridged and straight-lace the system is. And how that’s just as much as a weakness to those who operate and enforce it as it is a strength.

“People like them are the type to use loopholes and tricks to bend the rules to their favor. If a rule can benefit them, then you can bet they’ll be using it to their advantage. The slowness of the system is also another issue. Because our system demands things be done in a certain order, that in itself is a huge advantage for such people. For example, if you were to organize a raid on one of his places, he'd have a lot more time to learn of it and move everything out since the raid needs properly authorized, pushed through the right channels, etc.”
>>
>>4251374

Staring down at your hand, you quickly clinches it into a fist, giving a determined stare. “In order to stop people like that. In order to act where heroes who play straight by the book can’t go, I have to do under the radar and operate in the underground. Rather than stand in the light, my path lies diving into the darkness to keep those precious lights safe. In other words, I’ll have to be a vigilante. It’s the only way I can truly helpful to you and repent from my crimes. To assist heroes like you where they can’t act, to be the response that doesn’t care about the red tape that people like All for One will surely use to his advantage. “

“Hmm, that’s certainly quite the burden you’re putting upon yourself young Shimura. You shouldn’t have to go this far to make amends and assist me in my fight with All for One. He’s my nemesis, my responsibility to take care of.” As All Might’s voice gradually starts to rise, he quickly catches himself before talking about your grandma. You could see it in his eyes that something horrible happened. Something that ties back to what your father said about her dying unsightly to a villain. Like you, it seems All Might be carrying some deep-seated problems that relate to All for One.

Shaking your head, you look All Might right in the eye with a stubborn pout. “That may be, but it’s also my fight as well All Might. Just knowing that they’re using my genetics against me to inflict harm on to others boils my blood to my breaking point. They already tried to kidnap me and put my friends at risk. I can’t back down from something like that. Just as you have the reasons that push you forward into confrontation, I have mine. But I’m not conceited enough to believe that I can do this on my own. That’s why I want to work with you in this way. So we can defeat him together and save people.” You declare, from the bottom of your heart. Causing All Might to almost see the spitting image of his master in front of him, beat for a beat as well as his younger self before your outline returns.

“...We really are two peas in a pod. “All Might smiles, relaxing a bit before trailing off back to the people below. “That said, I’m pretty sure that your counteroffer would also stain my reputation if it ever got out.”

“....Erm….I guess when you put it that way...working with a vigilante isn’t exactly all that better.” You blushed, tilting your head down as you reflect on your choice of words.
>>
>>4251399

“Don’t worry Young Shimura. I understand your feelings entirely. I was in your position when I was your age too. That said, what you describe while fits a vigilante, there’s also another role that you can participate and still be treated as within the law officially.” All Might points out, turning his attention back to you.

“Oh? And what exactly is that role in particular?” You ask with great curiosity.

“An Underground Hero. Just like Eraserhead.”

“Underground Hero? Is such a thing really possible for me?”

“You can. In times where villains play dastardly and use the system to their advantage or hide deep int he shadows, there are those who operate with more leeway than those in the spotlight in exchange from their efforts not officially recognized by the public. All to combat such evils. They operate much like detectives and vigilantes for the sake of society. It’s a tireless, and often a thankless job but a very important one much like the symbol of peace.” All Might explains, going into great detail about the job and how it works in line with exactly what you were hoping to do. Achieving a sort of balance between the two ideas while still having enough flexibility to fit your own revelations.

“If what you said is true, then, in that case, I’ll work hard to become an underground hero. “ You nod, fully cooperating with the idea.

“That’s the spirit. But you know, you first have to get a provisional license. I can already gather based on your story that you wouldn’t want to go to a Hero School and go through the ropes to enter and pass the Provisional Hero License Exam as standard. Thus, we’ll have to do it another way and meet with the Hero Public Safety Commission. Of course, they’ll probably have to set up a sort of special exam for you to see your capabilities both physically and mentally. As well as brush up your knowledge about the general stuff needed to be an underground hero.” As All Might says this, he starts handing you a small booklet of the HPSC and everything you need to know about the association.

“Realistically I’d advise against taking the exam that’s coming in next month and spend your time honing your skills and knowledge for next June. But I’ve got the sinking feeling that you’ll act and get yourself in trouble doing something reckless. Though I’m not one to judge given how often I act without thinking to help those in need.”

Going to explain it in greater detail in the story later but essentially the test is going to be broken down into three parts. A written exam that looks to see one's sense of justice, their analytical side, and how well one memorization skills in regards to the hero handbook as well as the laws and jurisdiction. The usual stuff.

As for the second phase, it'll cover your combat capabilities. A survivor course through an ever-changing environment that pits applicants against one another as they try to eliminate as many people to reach the passing quota.

The final phase is the rescue phase where you be graded how you help those in need, cooperate with others, and tackle the adversities that come your way while being mindful of the civilians.

So it's all up to you if you want to hone yourself further to take it in June or crash course cram for this upcoming September. It's also a good idea to start planning what sort of moveset you want to bring on the table since even if the Association knows, assuming you actually tell the big wigs about the full extent of All in One, for fairness sake they're going to have you use only "One" quirk. And only that one.

would unbound, rebound, loge, regeneration, maybe amplification, maybe super power and maybe self control work

how would loge and unbound synchronize?
>>
>>4252347
>93 for training a full year with All-Might
Time to revise our Ultra Analysis stats, because this is gonna be some shiiiiiit!

>>4252379
If we're only permitted to use "One" quirk, then I'm torn between two different options:
A) All in One, the closest thing we have to our original quirk
or
B) Bound, an all-around useful quirk with sentimental value because of the ideal its original user represents.
>>
>>4252411

If you can find some way to conveniently meld all that together for a single quirk without drawing attention it's possible. But it's not going to be easy since you're cooperating with the Hero Public Safety Commission to get passed having to go to hero school provided you're still supervised by All Might. Your "crime" has been pardon since you're more an asset to society helping people and using your genes to heal/repair others than keeping you locked up after getting All Might's testimony and seeing you in action. Sir Nighteye and Gran Torino also pulled in your favor as did Gang Orca though he also pushed for remedial courses along with community service to get you better acquainted with cooperation with others. It may also note that your heritage as Nana's legacy also played a part in the matter as their expectations.

That said, given the nature of All for One and One for All, they really recommend you not blowing your cover and sprouting multiple quirks.

As for Unbound x Loge, greater plant-like abilities at higher efficiency and power, the plant constructs carrying the same general effects as unbound, and the siphoning effect having more range to stockpile energy. Since without it, Stockhouse, or to an extent All in One you don't have a direct, natural means to extract and direct energy. Thus on paper only limited to your own energy. At best it can only regulate the energy on its own and control the output.

>>4252431

Bound might be the easiest to fall back on given its all-purpose functions. All in One also carries All for One in it which will cause some alarm.
>>
>>4252501
Alright, yeah, I'll lock in on using Bound and only Bound for the purposes of the tests.
It's got mobility, its got strength, its got a lot of delicate rescue-related features...excellent for the scenarios we'll be tested on. Speed, versatility, and power all in one package. Even if it's not the BIGGEST punch.
>>
>>4252512
bound is too limited, I would rather we use unbound
>>
>>4252515
I think Unbound is the more limited one. Bound is WAY more versatile than Unbound. Unbound is best suited to combat and propping up the effects of other quirks; for singular-quirk displays, Bound is a lot better.
>>
>>4252520
the need to hold ones breath means that we can use it 22 minutes at max if we are able to hold our breath as long as a human has ever done and we would need to be concentrated at the same time
>>
>>4252525
That's in one go, bro. We can take breaths in short pauses when we don't need to be actively maintaining the quirk.
Bound requires breath management, but that isn't a particularly serious impediment to using it. Just look for good openings in activities (be it fighting or rescue work) to step aside and breathe for a few moments before using the quirk again.
>>
>>4252512

Actually with how attuned you are to it, your proficiency and innate ability, it alone has become quite the impressive powerhouse. It can now interact with non-tangible matter as it's solid, give unrestricted mobility, flight at high speeds, pull off greater super strength feats, a limited form of invulnerability and you massively increase your lung compacity to go well beyond the normal human limits. As well as store oxygen in your blood for additional reserves. While not at Saitama tier, your training did warrant your superhuman lung capacity and respiratory akin to a dolphin.

Anyway here are your stats. Starting off with previously.

Power: 5/6 A+

Speed: 5/6 A

Technique: 3/6 C+

Intelligence: 2/6 D+

Integration: 5/6 A+

Now here's after a year of training and studying from multiple sources, All Might especially.

- New Ultra Anayasis's stats -

Power: 6/6 S+

Speed: 5/6 A+

Technique: 5/6 A

Intelligence: 4/6 B-

Integration: 6/6 S

Cooperation: 3/6 C+

I've added Cooperation since I feel like that's still an important factor to judge when working with others and coordinating plans/moves in unison.
>>

>>4252534
so how long can we hold our breath?
>>
>>4252546
just searched it up an average dolphin can hold their breath 8 to 10 minutes so i am guessing we can hold our breath that long
>>
>>4252546

On estimate, I would say somewhere between several hours to weeks on average depending on the activity. Maybe a few months if you really push yourself. But that's a lot of strain on the body to achieve as it better operates on air revitalization, like what a machine does to recycle oxygen or a flower.

But that also takes a lot of effort and concertation to do as you only managed to do it stationary.

Superman can do it indefinitely and while this operates on comic book logic as hori intended, I'm not giving that level of breath control.

Scratch that, it also operates on shonen for obvious reasons.

Remember that for instance, Nighteye has Hyper-Density Seals that he throws with tremendous force and speed, as well as body'd a brute like Rappa with one strike, or Endeavor coming out of being swing through buildings without even a scratch. The suspension of disbelief is exactly as one would come across for both shonen and comic books.

Turning your face from All Might, you made a nervous smile. You couldn’t look him in the eye and tell him that you wouldn’t do vigilante work if given the chance to help others. It was written all over your face. Putting that aside, there was some additional stuff you want to talk about. Such as your grandma Nana, what sort of knowledge All Might have on All for One, what is it like being the number one hero, etcetera. There are too many questions that ran through your mind that you need answers to. Before you let yourself get distracted and change the subject, you focus your attention on the obstacle in front of you.

“Before I make my decision, could you tell me exactly how the Provisional Hero License Exam works. What exactly should I expect to be on the exams? Particularly the knowledge portion. Combat I don’t think I’d have any real trouble but it’s better safe than sorry.” You ask, resuming eye contact with All Might.

“The exam is broken up into three portions. Normally it’s two but for those who aren’t in Hero schools such as U.A or Shiketsu, have to take a written exam to test your knowledge on the hero handbook and general protocols. It gives the proctor a good judgment on your sense of justice as well as general mental capabilities such as judgment and decision-making skills. Think of it like the entrance exams you took to get into Musutafu Academy.” All Might explains.

“...Oh joy, more academics….” You sigh, nearly hitting your head against the table in defeat. At the very least you have proven time after time again that you’re a quick learner and good at cramming knowledge when it came down to it. In spite of that, you still felt drained and oppressed when it came to tackling the academic side of things.

Reframing from laughing at your distress over the academics, All Might quickly change the subject. “The second portion of the exam is a survivor course. You are pitted on a battlefield that changes depending on a certain time schedule. Roughly seven to fifteen minutes. It covers a wide array of different terrains, forcing one to not get comfortable in a single setting and adapting quickly to survive. This portion of the exam lasts until a certain number of students have been eliminated. It’s a battle between your fellow peers as you have to decide on working together to ensure survival or go at it alone. It’s quite the cutthroat challenge that best cements the atmosphere Heroes have to deal with when it comes to rankings and support.”
>>
>>4252715

“As for the final phase, it’s more tailored toward rescue and support. But even as I say that, it’s perhaps the most crucial portion of the exam. How well you cooperate with others, how far do you plan ahead, what do you prioritize most, and how do you adapt and overcome a challenging ordeal/adversity. In the final phase, you will be judged on saving lives and/or protecting others from villain attacks. Young Shimura, I want you to think carefully about what you can do and the deeper meaning of the exam regardless of what choice you make for when you’re going to take it. If I told you the answer then you won’t be able to truly grow.”

Taking a moment to process the information, you quickly come to a consensus. At first, you considered taking the exam in the upcoming month. Cramming was something that was integrated into yourself at this point. So with Saiko’s help, it wasn’t like you couldn’t fake it until you make it. However, after hearing the other aspects of the exam, as well as what All Might is implying with a deeper meaning to the exam, it dawns upon you that your previous actions were underestimating the adversity in front of you. It seems more than just combat ability is going to be needed in order to pass the exam, if not be a hero period.

“In that case, I’ll take your advice and take the exam, next September. If it was just combat-focused I’ll be going in immediately. But things like rescue and treatment, working with others, there’s a lot of things that I don’t know. And if I rush things through without a plan, then I won’t be any help to anyone. Therefore, I need to spend all the time I have filling in the holes in what I don’t know in addition to improve what I am capable of. “

Smiling to himself, All Might gives a thumbs up. “Excellent Young Shimura. Now I know it must be frustrating waiting for that long. So in preparation for the exam, I’ll commit my full attention to teaching and preparing you so that you’ll succeed. In a year you will be a completely new person. ”

“Thank you All Might. But, is it okay if one more person takes part in this?”

With that, you and All Might converse together over your future plans. Through him, you learned all you could about All for One, as well as him revealing to you his personal quirk. The same quirk that was handed down to him by your grandma, One for All. In comparison to the all-consuming, All for One, One for All is a quirk that stockpiles an enormous amount of raw power, growing stronger as it passes between person to person, accumulating more power and cultivating it with each passing second. Allowing them to significantly enhance all of their physical abilities to a superhuman level. It can also significantly boost one’s quirk given if they have one, making it the ultimate enhancement quirk.
>>
>>4252723

Ironic given that the quirk’s origins came from All for One giving a simple power stockpiling quirk to try and control his younger brother as you learn about the origin. Hearing that your grandma was entrusted with such a quirk in addition to her float quirk certainly put things into perspective. Especially since her original quirk couldn’t be stolen by All for One and despite the doctor’s attempts, it still had a rebellious streak in its mutated form. That is until it came into your possession and just how important it was in your arsenal. Either way, you began asking a ton of additional questions in correlation to your grandma, learning about her deeds, and just how treasured she was to All Might as his surrogate mother.

After spending your sweet sixteenth birthday with your loved ones and companions, you went back through the motions of your schedule. Planning in accordance with your responsibilities, All Might orchestrated a training course regiment for you and Saiko. Helping All Might whenever he was too busy to watch you directly was his mentor Gran Torino and his sidekick Sir Nighteye. Two people who were more stern and reluctant over your inclusion. Though over time they came to warm up to you after seeing how committed to the task of helping people and making amends. As a result, they took to help you develop immensely by their superior teaching power. But it was clear that Saiko underwent much greater improvements due to similar movesets.

As for the Hero Public Safety Commission, it was a rocky transition for you. To nobody surprise that you underwent a lot of scrutiny by the associates. In between thorough examination, interrogations, and other acts of assessment to document your character. Having the walking experimentation of All for One in their presence causes a lot of controversies even without your actions as a phantom thief. At the same time, they couldn’t ignore the vast potential you have for good in addition to your cooperation. Even the testament of several noteworthy pro heroes went in your favor in appealing your case to the board. Combined with the information given, and your legacy in correlation to Nana Shimura, there were far too few cases against you.
>>
>>4252724

Ultimately they resign to giving you a full pardon provided you work off to pay your debt by assisting the medical and hero support faculties with your talents in addition to doing community service and being on All Might’s custody. Compared to what could have happened, you weren’t complaining as the HPSC made it a fair transaction. As well as giving their full support including a wage for your medical and support acts. They even agree to your requests of having Saiko take part in the exam alongside you and registering your other forms. All in all, there were a lot of expectations put upon you with the amount of potential and how many people backing you up. At the end of the day, you were able to have a second lease on life and operate precisely how you want to. Provided you pass the exam.

>Bound + Muscle Augmentation

“Bleurghch!”

That was the only response that can be heard in correlation to weathering a powerful blow to your abdomen. Even as you imply the “absorbing the blow” and “cushioning the impact/blow” to better tanked through the attack, you still felt enough of the brunt to push you back. Skitting on the ground ever slightly, you remain anchored to your footing. Keeping your upper body relaxed while still bracing the lower half constantly was no easy feat. Especially taking punches that could generate gust of strong air currents alongside the powerful shockwaves. Still, you took solace that you finally reach that level of conditioning of maintaining holding your breath and keeping fine control regardless of an outside force.

“What’s wrong? Done already?” Pulling back his fist, All Might stand on the other side of the large combat arena.

Having just gone and delivered a corkscrew punch named after Delaware, creating a vortex effect that draws you in before delivering a condense blast of concussion force and shockwaves in the punch, the diligent mentor looks to his hand. Already he could tell from a glance your trained muscles have come a long way in the past five months. Back then a punch like that would be enough to grievously damage you. Now it at most left you in discomfort as it causes your chiseled abs to throb constantly. Still, there was a clear difference between the two of you as five punches were enough to send you flying.

“Khoff Khaff! Khaff!” You cough, rubbing your stomach as you pull yourself back together. Keeping that large portion of air you inhaled without spilling an ounce.” ...As always you have trouble holding back. What if it was someone else you hit with one of your smashes?”

“Believe me, Young Shimura I scale my power in accordance with whom I’m fighting. As I am right now, I’m giving a hundred percent of my younger years back in America. Besides, you would be immensely disappointed if I wasn’t fighting seriously. Isn’t that right?” All Might smiles, shining brightly at the seems. Exerting tremendous pressure as you feel your keen intuition was alerting you just how much of a monster All Might is.

“Yeah. I guess you’re right.” You smile, reeling your head back while gathering another large heap of fresh air. Smacking your fist against your palm, you revved your body up to the next stage. “That’s just the way a fighting fanatic like myself wants it!”

“Then come, Young Shimura. We’re only warming up!”
>>
>>4253302

“Right!”

Crouching forward into a sprint, you start applying Bound’s buoyancy to cause the ground around you to sink ever so slightly, removing the air resistance around you. Ready for take-off you sprung yourself from the compressed ground, further enhancing your already lighting quick speed towards Al Might. Utilizing just Bound and Muscular Augmentation, you came at the number one hero full swinging. In the five months you have been training with All Might so far, he managed to demolish each and every one of your quirk combinations. Strength to render even the most polished and learned technique outmoded. That’s the absolute power that made him the strongest. But that was just a far cry from what All Might was truly capable of with his decades of experience and ingenuity backing him up.

Even so, you took every experience gained from your clashes to gradually improve and further hone yourself. Learning new combos, improving your current number, strengthening and polishing your list of quirks, and most of all. Building upon your foundation as All Might redefined the fundamentals. Originally you took All Might to be a powerhouse fighter, but you couldn’t be any more wrong. From technical to counterintuitive, All Might knew all the types of combat and made himself well-rounded to the utmost degree. Leaving you without any weak spots to exploit as you focused more on guarding your own.

Reaching All Might’s range, you proceed to throw a series of rabbit punches on to All Might. To which he merely responded by throwing a few punches himself as he matches you move for move. Being the equivalent to a punching bag for the number one hero wasn’t exactly what you had in mind. But enduring all that hardship did wonders to your defense game alongside your offensive capabilities. For All Might, it was a clear display of just how tenacious and resilient you are. The more you’re back into a corner, the more ferocious you become. And today wasn’t any different as you continue throwing punches and tanking them with your body. That said, you felt yourself being outpaced by All Might as he threw more punches than you.

With one strong right hook to the face, you soon found yourself pushed back yet again by the number one hero. Only just recently you learned how to use Bound to cushion blows and add more resistance for greater shielding. Even so, it seemed almost pointless with All Might’s overwhelming power.

>Call for a break and chat with All Might over your progression

“Urp!” You uttered, feeling what felt like a series of punches sneaking through your defenses and causing your stomach to churn from the force.

Training to be able to talk while holding your breath was also not an easy feat. The slightest hiccup could release all that saved up oxygen, thus rendering your efforts meaningless. That’s why as part of your training, you took to learning all kinds of breathing techniques and swimming tips to better attune to your grandma’s quirk. That said, while it holds sentimental value towards you, at the end of the day it was more your power than it was your grandmother’s. As part of your preparation for the exam, you had to pick one quirk to take with you. Although your training was to better utilize all of them to the fullest, only one would be used in the exams.

It makes sense considering that All for One and One for All were highly classified quirks that only a rare select few know about. If the world knew about them, then all of society would fall apart and everything would turn upside down. So you enter the exams with multiple quirks would cause too much of a pandemic even if they wave it off being a copy quirk. In light of that, there was only one quirk to you that would best fit the exam. A quirk that’s all purposed and flexible while having strong staying power. Versatility is your calling card so, with that in mind, you couldn’t pick anything other than a quirk that deeply ties to your nature.

Truthfully, you wished you could use your original quirk Plug & Play but due to it only existing as All in One, it would be problematic using it for the exams. Thus began your intense training with your mentors over honing Bound to a level where you didn’t need multiple quirks to achieve the same versatility and adaptability as your original quirk. Out of all the other quirks, it was the highest compatible quirk, second only to All in One. The fact you were able to use your grandma’s original abilities despite its mutated state was proof enough. Even All Might commented that under Bound, it felt like seeing a pseudo-One for All in action with its super strength-based applications among its many multi-functional capabilities.
>>
>>4254432

Whether if it was due to the crystalized power network residing inside you, remnants of the imprints One for All influencing the quirk, or through your own genetics fixing the instability to bring forth a new metamorphosis you honestly couldn’t say. Either way, through your superior technique and ingenuity you turned the quirk into something truly marvelous. Initially able to just adjust the buoyancy between yourself and your surroundings regardless of matter state, it long since been refined to sophisticated and complexed proficiency. Through the buoyancy force, you manage to successfully mitigate the lack of invulnerability and toughness aspects that typically comes with super strength through shock dissipation/cushioning.

In light of this, there was another application that works hand in hand with tanking. Switching game plans you plant your feet against the ground. At first, it appears like you were reading to block another punch, opening up for another right hook. Far from it as upon All Might coming to deliver another strong punch into your abdomen, you chose to dissipate the natural resistance while simultaneously improving reinforcing your body to withstand the attack. Upon contact, your body flung itself towards the wall at tremendous speeds. Right at the point of impact, you carefully used the buoyancy force to strengthen the repulsion and smoothly “swim” through the air currents. Otherwise achieving a spring effect to harness that impending momentum.

Adjusting your body in a 180 position, you properly land on your feet. Crouching down to your lowest point before shooting upwards to the next solid surface. In a combination of ricochet and ballistics, you start bouncing around your surroundings at escalating speeds. Taking from Gran Torino’s own movements, you learned how to apply the trajector & velocity influencing properties of buoyancy and the repulsion effect to replicate those quick high-speed movements while retaining fluid aerial & ground mobility. Though making split-second tight turns and omnidirectional motions mid-flight is far more challenging than you would like.

But with clever applications, you typically suspend yourself prior to the point of collision, simulating an airbag effect to mitigate the impact and shock of your augmented mobility. In addition to essentially allowing you to slow/cushion falls without the fear of getting hurt, it offers you another chance to change your motion without losing too much momentum and time. A feat that you find yourself having to use right this second as this was still new to you. As for All Might, he chose to stand at the center of the room, gazing carefully at your ricocheting bouncing. Despite being surrounded by your constantly rising motions, All Might eye dart wildly, following your every movement.
>>
>>4254436

Knowing this, you attempt to further increase your speed, applying a greater repulsion from the internal pressure to propel you further. In a flash, your physical appearance starts to blur to the point of being a dynamic image. Almost disappearing from the naked eye as it couldn’t register it. Propelling yourself through additional kicks, you accelerate dramatically through the combat arena. Even without bound, the amount of wind pressure you’re currently capable of generating allowed for mid-air mobility. So in conjunction, you feel yourself achieving supersonic flight. Just the right parameters for your new special move.

Shooting back towards the next wall, you contract your muscles, causing them to budge, you launch yourself forward with double the amount of your previous speed. Appearing like a shooting star, you reel your fist back in anticipation. With your legs free to help maneuver and change the course of your impending motion, you were prepared for the worst. But coming directly in accordance with All Might’s strike range, you brace your cross counter punch. Aiming the full brunt of your attack at All Might’s jaw. Applying another repulsion from the buoyancy force upon the elbow to further strengthen your punch.

“ STRIKE BACK” You scream, thrusting your fist at your fist towards All Might at full force. Creating enough backdraft to surge wildly around your surroundings. Lifting dust into the air to make for a concealing dust cloud. One that was rather short-lived as the results of your actions soon left you breathless.

Despite your well-executed move, All Might was simply faster as he meets your cross counter hook with an assault of his own. Turning his face in the exact position needed to have your punch slide right off his face, disbursing the attack and neutralizing the damage. Simultaneously his fist connected with your stomach, using your own build up momentum against you just like how you tried to do with All Might’s attack to maximize the damage. But that wasn’t the worst of it. In that split moment, All Might managed to deliver five consecutive punches in rapid motion like a machine gun. By the time your body register them, it was already too late.

“A splendid Finishing Move Young Shimura, however.” All Might retorts, removing his fist from your gut, allowing you to collapse to the floor wheezing for air. “Compared to Gran Torino’s movement, you’re still a far outcry from his legendary movements. “

“The windup gives you away despite your optimized mobility and speed. A move that adjusts itself to the output of the enemy while flexible carries with it an arbitrary startup time and effectiveness. It doesn’t help that your deduction skills still pale in comparison to Nighteye’s despite dramatically improving in the five months of training. ”

Despite squirming somewhat from the pain, your teachers and colleagues on numerous occasions described you as a "humanoid punching bag". Even without a combination of quirks made for the point of defusing the effectiveness of physical blows, your extremely resilient body managed to be able to take powerful blows and debilitating injuries without a thought. And training with All Might only better improve those qualities through repetition. Last month a blow like that was enough to cripple you at this percentage of his power. Now it just left you winded and nursing a stomach cramp thanks to the throbbing pain. Nevertheless, with that single blow, you were forced to kneel and admit defeat.

“Aargh!” You exclaim loudly, dropping to your back having overcome the stunning effect of the delayed strikes. Releasing all the stored air from your body, you slimmed down out of your slim, compact version of your otherwise humongous hulkish statue and back to your default form. “I surrender!”

Puffing your cheeks like a spoiled brat you waggle your limbs in the air in frustration with an obnoxious cry. You honestly thought you had All Might with that combo. Sure it hurt you that you still weren’t at a comparable level to your other teachers in their signature traits. But on the other hand, the fact you’re able to replicate their talents through muscle memory was astonishing by itself. And even you didn’t think you could replicate decades of experience and hard work in just five months. Ignoring the fact you went on marathons straight in combating All Might with your current limit being forty-eight hours at peak efficiency before needing to eat and rest off the stress. Besides, you were more upset that this was now your five hundredth defeat.

“Even without One for All you’re a monster! But with it, you’re like the king of the kaijus. Compare to that I’m no different than a paper lion.”

“If it makes you feel better, you’re getting notoriously better at withstanding and repelling multiple types of attacks while sustaining little to no visible signs of damage. Keeping myself restrained like this against a combat prodigy who learns at an accelerated rate every time she fights is harder than it looks.”

“You can praise me all you want, doesn’t change the fact that I lost.” You pouted, letting out your frustration in healthy venting. As a result, it didn’t take you long to bounce back and return to your easygoing self. “Oh well, each defeat just makes me better than I was previously.”
“Anyway, I’m starving. A sparring match like that always leaves me burning more calories than the daily workout.” You mention in between walking out of the room with your arms behind your back.
>>
>>4254766

Finding himself smiling at your cheerful demeanor, All Might drop out of combat focus mindset and back to his Toshinori Yagi appearance. On the other spectrum, you took a long shower to clean yourself off and unwind. Sprouting out your fluffy squirrel-like feline tail, you stepped out of the locker room and made your way to the cafeteria. During the trip, you bust out “regeneration” to mend and repair your wounds far quicker than your natural healing. Furthering your ravenous hunger as your body returns to physical prime. Upon arrival, you start to move towards the food stock and begin picking out your meal.

Not even batting an eye, Toshinori watches you stocking up enough food to feed a squad. He long since came to understand the burdens that having a high-maintenance body can bring. That said, Toshinori couldn’t help but feel like you were taking advantage of your circumstance to feast like a queen. You wouldn’t confirm nor deny such accusations but at the very least your progression warrant such pampering. Assisting from the back, you done some serious work on interrogation and gathering information. While not directly fighting, you still made great strives towards hunting All for One down and stopping his ambition. But that was a story for another time as you focus parking yourself on the other end of Toshinori’s favorite spot.

“I’m glad to see you still have an optimistic outlook to go with that lively attitude. Most would be crushed from so many consecutive losses back to back.” Toshinori remarks, staring at the tower of food you packed on the table.

Showing dramatic improvements in table manners, you reframe from talking with your mouth full as you multi-tasked on feeding yourself and sharing conversation. “Well, you’re not the number one hero for nothing. If anything, I have trouble not acting on my battle harden instincts and challenge you again outside of the standard daily number. That said, in seven months the provisional hero licensing exam will be here. In order to expand my horizon and learn everything that I’m missing, I need to become much stronger than I am right now. “

“Rescue, Evacuation, Suppression, the three fundamental requirements of a hero. Only having seen it first hand, do I now realize just how ignorant I’ve been. Even with my knowledge as a phantom thief and ninja training (stealth, subterfuge, etcetera), I’ve mostly been focusing on combat orientated arts. So right now, how do I accumulate sixteen years of knowledge and effort into being an effective underground hero?”
>>
>>4254770

“Fighting you like this has been loosening my brain. Forcing my creative juices into overdrive and flexing my adaption skills. I’m not like Mr. Nighteye or Saiko where I can fight with my head and pull off complex calculations on a dime. Rather, I’ve been following my intuition and polishing it to reach a similar conclusion. One where I can analyze, interpret, and deduce at a much efficient rate. Doing so will only improve my prediction and problem-solving abilities to the same level of accurate foresight that Mr. Nighteye expects me to have. While remaining true to myself.” You smile, finishing up on your evaluation before going full force on your meal.

“A big fish in a small pond, eh?” Toshinori muses. Day by day you end up appearing more like his mentor to him. While at the same time the differences between the two remain ever clear as Toshinori never lets himself mistaken yourself for Nana. The bond between the two of you has long since reached the point where he was like your uncle.

“So long as you come to understand your strength and weaknesses, your potential to grow will only continue to skyrocket over time. Besides, your mastery over bound is already an effective great leap into the fundamentals of heroics.“

Actually, I already decided on Anima solely because in Latin it comes from a root that means "to blow" or "to breathe." In addition to meanings such as rational soul, life, spirit, vital force, or intelligence. Even had a title line up.

The Breathtaking Hero - Anima

>I'd like to know more about the underground hero thing. Is it a bunch of lone wolves/small groups or do they have some central HQ?
>Will we only be working with other underground heroes or are there team ups with "regular" heroes?
And while I think the answer is yes, is Saiko going for an underground hero license as well? I know she's training with us but I don't know what her plan is exactly.

>>4258712

“Speaking of heroics I’ve got a couple of questions that I wanna know.” Having managed to pull yourself from your constant wolfing down the food in front of you, you clear your throat and get your questions in order.

Looking at you with a brilliant smile, Toshinori claps his hands together before resting his elbows on the table. “Okay Young Shimura, shoot.”

“Well...What happened to Gang Orca? Does he know about us? ...any hard feelings?” There was a sharp pause midway in your sentence. Although he did step up in your favor in which how the Hero Public Safety Commission ultimately accepted you and gave you the support needed in your transition to becoming an underground hero. There was still the looming concern of whether or not the pro hero held any animosity towards you.

Sensing your concerns, Toshinori treads carefully in easing your spirits upon giving his report. “Well, surprising enough your fight didn’t leave any lasting damage on him. He’s sturdy even without his orca rubber blubber, his innate resilience let him bounce back to heroics in record time. It did do a number on his ability to guide and teach others. As for his reputation, he ended up dropping down to the number eight spot. Your identity as Hyakujūnoō is rumored to be the one to did him in thus exploding like wildfire.”

Looking towards Toshinori, you find yourself becoming bashful as you feel the need to shrink down and hide in a corner. While it was great to hear that your bout didn’t negatively impact him physically, it seems that his public appearance took a serious blow. Much to your growing shame. Thus you were unable to say anything, even if your facial expressions more than covered then guilt you feel about the entire thing. And yet the man still managed to come to your side rather than flat out turn against you. Making this all the more unnerving for you.

“Don’t worry, Gang Orca isn’t the type to hold grudges or let such things like this bother him. Of course, considering he’s taking part in the provisional license exam, you may have to cross his path again. And he’s quite stern with problem children. So I’d advise you to be on your best behavior and become the hero that those that support you believe you can.” Toshinori attempts to lift your spirits the only way he knows how.

Looking back up at him, you feel yourself making a light smile. Actions speak louder than words and what better way to prove that you’re someone worth betting on than by passing your exams.

“Next, I'd like to know more about the underground hero thing. Is it a bunch of lone wolves/small groups or do they have some central HQ?”
>>
>>4259271

“Well, underground heroes are usually solo or committed to a small, close-knit group. Too many heroes operated together in a collective would make it hard for them to keep the element of surprise and work in the shadows effectively. That said, they do at times collaborate with one another. As for central HQ, they usually are more in line to operate with both the police force and the hero public safety commission. They usually don’t have agencies or actively show up on the hero association though exceptions have been made on numerous occasions.”

“Will we only be working with other underground heroes or are there team-ups with "regular" heroes?” You singlehandedly questions your teacher, fishing for as much info as you can about the expectations of being an underground hero.

“You might not expect it, but on many chances, they do work with regular heroes, most commonly the pro heroes when the situation calls for it. While they don’t like being in the spotlight when help is needed they’ll stand up to the call. Or take the direct approach in the open when the other heroes are tied. They’re more suited to work alongside the police, specifically the swat teams and the undercover agents. ” Toshinori explains, painting vivid imagery of the general role of an underground hero. Correlating to his previous explanation, it all seems to align perfectly with what you were planning towards prior.

Reeling yourself back to the present, another question starts bubbling in your head. “What about Saiko? I know she’s been training with me. But I’ve never actually asked her if she’s going to be a licensed hero like me. She wanted to be a detective last time I recalled.”

Stroking his chin, Toshinori quickly recalls Saiko’s words before turning his gaze towards you. “She and I had a long discussion on what she wanted to be. If she’s serious about being a detective, then unsurprisingly being in correlation with the police force would be the better option. But with her talents, she ended up in joint conjunction with being associated with the police and the hero public safety commission by becoming an underground hero.”

Smiling at his answer, you close your eyes and let out a sigh of relief. You didn’t want to think that you were pushing Saiko into something that she herself didn’t want to do. “Alright, next question. Are we the only ones going through a special program with the hero public safety commission?”

“Well, first off there’s another hero in the works who’s also been undergoing guidance from the hero public safety commission. He’s a real prodigy not unlike yourself. Many people taken in by the HPSC are all gifted and talented quirk users. Some even more than me when I was their age. The HPSC is quite thorough in producing the next top class hero. Even if you didn’t act as a phantom thief, they would’ve eventually scouted you based on your talents and potential.“
>>
>>4259275

“Is that right?” Keeping yourself from getting a big head was rather hard since being acknowledged by your talents made you giddy. But curiosity was helping keeping you tempered as you go to ask about the special child. “Well, then who is this special child?”

“He goes by the name Hawks. His entire identity is a secret as people only know him by his codename. But from what I know is that despite his young age he was able to save a bunch of people from a traffic accident with dangerously accurate precision and finesse. And he did it when he was only a child.” Toshinori remarks, highlighting his fast potential as from his description he sounds potentially more versatile and well-inverse than you despite your similar skill level.

“Never pegged the HPSC to be akin to that of a spy operation.” You remark, thinking back to how they were handling your public records and alternate identities. Leaving you no room to talk on the matter.

“Now that I answered your questions, let’s do a bit of a quiz to see how much you remember.” Toshinori changes the subject, lightly catching you in a scatterbrain moment at facing what you hate most. Pop quizzes. “Starting from the top, can you tell me who are the current top ten pro heroes?”

“Hmm, well you’re number one so let’s see.” Thinking real closely on the matter, you start to rub your temple and put your brainpower to good use. “Second would be Flame Hero: Endeavor, followed by Equipped Hero: Yoroi Musha, Fiber Hero: Best Jeanist, Ninja Hero: Edgeshot, Esper Hero: Tempress, Elysian Hero: Drakaina, Whale Hero: Gang Orca, Valkyrie Hero: Brunhilda, and finally Desert Hero: Sahara.”

“Correct. You have been paying attention to your studies. But there are some other pro heroes that you should keep track of.” Toshinori nods in approval.

Tilting your head like a cat, you raise your eyebrows, emulating a cat's curiosity. “Is that so? Well, then who are they?”

“Captain Celebrity, Ingenium, Wash, Takahiro, Bamboomerang, Crimson Riot, Centipeder, Crush, and Uwabami. Each of them while not the top ten material has made their placement in the top twenties for many years. As well as the recent teachers Midnight, Erasure head, Present Mic, Vlad King, and Lady Nightingale are making strives towards raising the U.A.’s next generation of heroes. “

“Speaking of, then there’s the recent heroes Ryukyu, Mirko, Burnin, Shishido, Air Jet, Sirius, Kamui Woods, and Elektra are making a splash with their debuts. Some more than others. Nevertheless, it is through the efforts of everyone that as the number one hero was able to drastically reduce the crime rate to about fifty percent. But it’s still far too large for my liking. And it’s all thanks to one person still.” Toshinori laments, despite changing the once chaotic times of the past to a more stable standard. He still didn’t feel like he truly took care of the source of villainy due to the even stalemate between the two forces. Even with your added assistance changing the tides in recent months.

“All for One.” You muttered, making a more serious expression.

Before Toshinori could respond, he soon starts to get a phone call. Looking briefly at the text message, Toshinori’s face briefly turns serious before returning to his jolly self. “Sorry, Young Shimura, but it looks like I’ll have to cut this pop quiz short. I got some things that I have to take care of at the police station. I’ll leave you to your own activities for the remainder of the afternoon and evening.”

.“Safe travels.” You merely wave at Toshinori, catching him before he disappears out of your vision.

Now left to yourself you merely indulge in your feasting in full comfort. Regardless if All Might was here to supervise or not, it didn’t stop you from going all out. The cooking staff has long since adapted to your bottomless stomach and gluttonous tendencies. Still, you want to stockpile enough food to be at the very best of your abilities. For today was a special occasion since today was the Tenchōsetsu. Only knowing the basics of it, you know the day to be that it was a holiday in relation to the emperor. A custom that long since lost its original meaning long ago. In its place, it was put for another one that was just as important if not more so. It was the special day of the birth of quirks.

While the theory on how quirks came into being differs between scholars, with the most common theory being that it emanates from a virus, but it was universally accepted that the origin of the quirks became a worldwide phenomenon upon the birth of Yang Shaolong, the luminescent baby. The very first quirk user. It’s hard to say exactly what happened to the miraculous baby as the documents from back then were trashed and decimated by the chaos of that era. In light of that, the legacy of Yang Shaolong lives on through those that possessed quirks. With a very rare few demonstrating the sacred uncanny ability of luminescence. As for you the day held a much more grounded reason.

Through your hard work and effort, you manage to make it to the top twenty of the second semester of the entire freshmen class. Out of all four hundred of the current refreshments, it went to highlight just how far you came from the first day. The first semester you made it to the top hundred despite being at a severe disadvantage. It just goes to show how well of a teacher your bestie Saiko was. Unsurprisingly she was at the very top of the freshmen. Given her already impressive 150 IQ it was only natural that she aces the academics. But with her training and development, it shot up to around 250 normally, 300 if she truly focuses her brainpower. And that was without the use of her Quirk. Course her excessive training did bare fruits.
