Welcome. ITT, I'm going to run freeform, solo RPGs. I will use the Mythic GM Emulator to determine the success and consequences of your actions. My role is that of an oracle; there will be no long-winded descriptions. Expect random and deadly games.Mythic RPG: https://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/12/12904.phtmlYou are going to play as yourself, the person behind the screen. The question is: how long would you survive in an RPG setting? Please namefag yourself and roll 10d100 with each post. The rolls will be used for the GM emulator. You can choose between 4 worlds.FANTASY:Kek's Isekai: After you've died, you are teleported by Kek to a fantasy world.MODERN/x/-Files: You are recruited by a mysterious organization to investigate the paranormal and conspiracies. You can tell me a paranormal mystery that you'd like to investigate, or I'm going to roll at random on the SCP Foundation website.Zombie Apocalypse:everyone knows what it is.FUTURE:Stargate: You are recruited by a mysterious organization to jump through stargates and explores new planets.
This is the introduction to Kek's Isekai.
Choose a world and describe your character (which is yourself). Attached is an example character from the Mythic book.STATS*Stats: Strength, Dexterity, Agility (foot dexterity), Reflex, Toughness, IQ, Intuition, Willpower, Wisdom, Charisma*Skills: all skills, talents, combat skills, magical powers, languages*Strengths/Weaknesses: (optional) situational bonuses based on your personal *background*InventoryDescribe your stats in plain English using the ranks below.Ranks: minuscule, weak, low, below average, average, above average, high, exceptionalFor Stats, an «average» rank means the rank of an average personFor skills and other abilities, an “average” rank means an average person skilled with this ability, an average professional. Those with less than average ranks are skilled amateursThe skills are freeform so you can list anything. Here's an extensive list if you need inspiration: https://gurps.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Skills
>>3889991Just to be absolutely sure: One character or one character per player?
>>3890000One character per player. It will be a different solo game for each player.
>>3888990I check this out tomorrow, seems neat
>>3889017For the purposes of playing as ourselves, approximately what ranks would you say middle school, high school and college educations would give in their respective fields?
>>3889017Literally as ourselves?
>>3892320I would view middle/high school education as unranked or "minuscule" because most people have it.As skills are in comparison to the average professional, a college education is an average rank.
>>3892403Fair enough.Using that standard, and given the demographic of people that I assume frequents 4chan, I expect we're going to end up with just about everyone with stats and skills distributed between below average to above average at highest; we'd all generally be rather average individuals.Which is probably what you expected as well, given your comment about 'random and deadly games'. But I figured it was a good idea to check, since the example character you posted is a distinctly exceptional individual.
>>3892474Yes, I expect mostly average, untrained people. The example character is a legendary pirate, he's overpowered.
Sounds interesting, I’ll whip up a character in a little while
You can ignore this post. I'm dumping a PDF with the Mythic charts so that I can use them at work.
>>3888990Oh shid, I forgot this existed. How's pic related for a sheet?
>>3896204Supporting what ever this guy makes.

It seems more like an insult that spawned from humans themselves rather than those who actually inhabit it.”
>>3916093Nice, if you need some more info, just specify what you need. Would you mind telling me how I’d go about making one of those? When I saw how literally me handled it I tried to find a way to make my own for everyone’s convenience but I couldn’t figure it out. Is there a website for editing the template sheets?
>>3916106>>3916108I have enough info.As for making the sheet, I used Microsoft Paint and click the Edit Text button. Moreover, she bit him and now he might die of an infection.Ari turns back to you."Let's leave tomorrow morning. Are you OK with carrying me on your shoulders? Oh yes, also, let's put as many rice cakes as we can in your backpack, so that I have something to snack on. Preferably, you will set a trap or two so that I can eat rabbit for breakfast."Artus answers."You might have to stick to rice cake. I don't think any rabbit lives in this swamp."
Rolled 54, 93, 75, 26, 75, 82, 70, 3, 29, 63, 38, 74, 83, 75, 56, 75, 75, 97, 98, 3 = 1244 (20d100)I mobile post about 90% of the time>>3916126“As long as the money is good, it’s all the same to me.” I then place down my sacks and lean against the wagon for a minute. Since I had a rest a few hours back, I decide to explore the area near the cart.
>>3916153Q: Describe the areaRolls: 54, 93A: Kill of WeatherDestroyed by the swampnessQ: Any harmful creatures?Odds: LikelyRoll: 75A: NoThere is not much to see.A forsaken area. The area outside of the main road is most foul and the darkness is tangible. The air is damp; the ground is wet. The trees have the shape of abominable tentacles, eyes, mouths, forming aberrant shapes, coming alive at the corner of your eyes. For a moment, you can't tell which direction is the cart. Everything is the same color as the moonlight. Obviously, it's more than bad weather, but evil energies are at work. You would expect disgusting fishmen or even mindflayers to live in this environment, but it seems empty. Only more frogs and bats, and the faint whispers of mad shadows calling for you.
Rolled 73, 27, 93, 97, 45, 61, 22, 85, 7, 60, 56, 5, 51, 31, 30, 82, 91, 36, 69, 10 = 1031 (20d100)>>3916182I return to the cart and try to convince the two of them that we should leave the swamp as soon as possible. I’ll load up as many cakes as I can and the three of us will ride off on the two horses I’ve ridden horses on a few occasions so I’d rank my horseback riding skills as average. Maybe above average when you consider the fact that most people these days haven’t even been near a horse
>>3916106I had missed the Beastman question. Beastman is their standard racial name, so it's not viewed as an insult. Beastman Kingdom is a literal translation of 獣人の国, the name in Japanese. The concept of political correctness is unknown by the inhabitants of Kek's Isekai.>>3916201Q: Do they accept to leave?Charisma: Below AverageDifficulty: Weak (the area is creepy)Roll: 73A: YesQ: Do they encounter anything creepy on the way out?Odds: 50/50Roll: 27A: NoChange of Scene roll: 9Nothing differentQ: Does Artus die of an infection?Odds: LikelyRoll: 97Critical NoThe wound is not so severeQ: Describe SummerholdRolls: 45, 61A: Celebrate of DeathQ: Is it still a swampy area?Odds: ?Roll: 22A: YesAs you describe the environment, Artus and Ari shake in fear. They agree to leave immediately and Artus thanks you for saving his life. You skillfully ride a horse, with Ari behind you on the same horse, and Artus on the second horse. It's decided that Artus will ride with you until you reach Summerhold, and then you will part ways. Another good news is that he doesn't die of infection from the bite wound. It could have happened, especially with the moist air.You reach the gates of the city at dawn. Summerhold has been built in the middle of the swamp, a massive city of stone entirely above ground. You didn't chat much during the travel as everyone was tired. At the entrance, in the style of Dracula, you're welcomed by the severed heads of lizardmen and other demihumans on countless spikes, casting weird shadows at the light of torches. There are quite a lot of soldiers protecting the entrance.Artus says:"Well, isn't that creepy. Last time, we didn't enter the city, we rode on the road around it."
Rolled 53, 95, 36, 8, 27, 82, 1, 98, 3, 5, 63, 28, 4, 73, 52, 56, 56, 71, 30, 38 = 879 (20d100)I was kind of think about it in the sense that some cultures or countries may have different names than the ones given to them by other nations. It seems as if the humans are the dominant ones here (aside from the orcs) so I wouldn’t put it past them to dehumanize those without the necessary might to assert their own sovereignty. >>3916261“I’m just the bodyguard, if the two of you are fine with stopping here to rest then I’ll simply do my job and watch over you.”
>>3916294Yes, good point. If we take a close look at the common race names, we can probably find one that is insulting and that they wouldn't use in their native tongue. Q: Does Ari get attacked in the city?Odds: ?Roll: 53A: NoQ: Is she allowed to sleep in an inn?Odds: ?Roll: 95A: Critical NoMost shops are not open to demi-humansQ: Is she allowed to sleep in the stables?Odds: Very Likely (she's not attacked but treated like an animal)Roll: 36A: YesQ: Does the Beastman Kingdom have their own language?Odds: ?Roll: 8A: YesQ: Can she afford a horse?Odds: ?Roll: 27A: NoEstimated time: 11 AM.Artus decides that he still doesn't want to enter the city, so he leaves with his two horses, and bids you farewell.Ari wants to find an inn to sleep for a few hours and then buy a new horse. She insists that you'll have to sleep in separate rooms. Summerhold is a city the size of one district of Aermagh and reminds you of the neighborhood with a vaguely gothic architecture. Unlike the capital, however, the presence of soldiers is strong. There's an atmosphere of tension and readiness. The inhabitants are poor and crass. When you walk in the streets, some people whisper insults about the beastgirl. A group of ugly thugs at the corner of a street even makes "woof woof" sounds and laughs stupidly. You try a few inns but they all say that beastmen are not allowed to sleep there, and decline you entry. They direct you toward the stables at the entrance of the city, which is more appropriate for a beastman to sleep in. Ari is not offended by this reaction, because as an ambassador who has travelled to many countries, she knows that humans tend to dehumanize other races. She walks with pride, her chin high. She also explains that "Beastman Kingdom" is a literal translation of the name of their nation in their native tongue. From what you can tell when she does a demonstration, it appears that their tongue is derived from Japanese but includes growls and other animal sounds. It kind of sounds cute. You sleep in the stables for a few hours. In the morning, she asks, with flattened ears:"That's embarrassing to ask... But I don't have enough money to buy a horse. Do you think you can borrow me 20 silver pieces so that I can buy one? I'll pay you back once when we are in my country, of course."
Rolled 20, 81, 36, 41, 74, 99, 76, 28, 82, 28, 44, 19, 36, 95, 12, 23, 44, 63, 97, 26 = 1024 (20d100)I’m actually kind of interested in seeing what the non-human kingdoms are up to. I have some plans to return to Aermagh at a later date, but exploring the world seems like a good use of time >>3916363I lend her the 20 silvers for a horse and look around for a magic shop. I get the feeling that rogues aren’t exactly flourishing here (aside from any organized crime that may or may not be present) so I decide to keep my antics to a minimum. I’m specifically looking for ways to strike at a distance. Putting a simple fireball enchantment on my weapons should do the trick.

The shop looks crazy and messy, with owls and ravens in cages next to piles of books, scrolls and items of unknown use. It's decorated with large bird sculptures and "strange and disturbing" mountain scene paintings hanging from the ceiling. A fireball enchantment is impossible for this wizard, but he offers a wind enchantment. A wind enchantment is not as impressive as fire, but it could blow away opponents. You have a pocket slingshot from Earth, perhaps it's interesting to buy some ammo? Each Ball of Wind (slingshot ammo) costs only 12 copper pieces. Infusing a ball with some wind energy is much cheaper than enchanting a weapon to form a tornado from a distance.
>>3916565 How much would it cost to enchant two daggers, one saber, or a hammer. It shouldn’t be all that expensive since he can only afford to sell his services to those who can afford them and are willing to purchase them. I’m not opposed to using one use ammo but I’d like to avoid it if possible.

But seeing that he hasn't had many customers lately, he accepts to enchant for half the price: 5 gold. The number of charges that you get from each enchant is unknown, due to the chaotic nature of magic. He would accept to trade an enchant for items/horses of approximately equal value. For a successful enchant, he needs to spend the afternoon on it, and the item would be ready by the end of the day.
