In the far future, biotechnology advances by leaps and bounds, creating stunning achievements in medical, civil, and military applications. Illness becomes a thing of the past, and genetic modification is as commonplace as cosmetic surgery. However, like all great advances, unchecked progress and experimentation has led to abuse and corruption. Ultra powerful megacorporations that monopolized the latest biotech have risen to be the great powers of the age, waging secret wars of sabotage, espionage, and deceit to get ahead of each other. In order to fuel their rampant growth, megacorps develop lethal diseases and viruses, horrific bio-organic abominations, and ever more exotic genetic modifications to both sell to the highest bidder and unleash upon each other. The rampant proliferation of bioweapons, and the need to contain them, has given rise to a new profession, the BIOWEAPON HUNTER.---Now with a new OP!Twitter: https://twitter.com/MercCommandArchive: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=Bioweapon%20Hunter%20QuestOther Quests: https://pastebin.com/eTUmEmRb---You are LEWIS, a Hunter specializing in hunting down biological threats with your T-Doll companion HK!Honestly, you were still having reservations about this entire plan, meeting the founder of Umbrella himself, Oswell Spencer. However, if there was anybody with the clout to get this damn warrant off your head, it would be him. Still, that didn't mean you had to like this entire set of affairs.Thankfully, Auntie Egan had managed to use her corporate connections to set up a discreet meeting at Spencer's mansion. You were riding there right now in one of her company helicopters, with both HK and SOPMOD present with you. Lucina had gone back to Raccoon City with ST-AR to try and sort things out at home. You hope things were going well for her. As for Mom and Carol...>They were coming along separately as backup. Just in case.>You told them to stay behind. >>3545609They were coming along separately as backup, just in case. After all, a man like Spencer didn't get to where he was by not being sly. It was best to have your bases covered. Mom and Carol were concealed in the nearby forest, ready to jump in when needed. You glance out of the helicopter window, the famous and familiar Spencer mansion filling the view. As the helicopter lands, there's already a Doll maid waiting to receive you. "As per the house rules, I will have to ask you and your companions to leave your weapons in your vehicle. They will not be permitted inside the building." The Doll informs you politely. "Failure to comply will mean your arms will be forcibly confiscated instead.""Awwww, that ain't any fun!" SOPMOD groans."It is an understandable precaution." HK notes. >Go in unarmed. You're the guest, after all.>You don't feel comfortable going in naked like this.>Other

>>3545745You follow the Doll maid, and you can't quite help but feel she bore a lot of similarity to the Doll maid in the Ashford mansion. Maybe it was some sort of general model? Then again, you were sure these Dolls doubled as bodyguards for Spencer. You wouldn't put it past him. The Doll maid continues to lead you through the halls of the mansion, now empty and eerie, considering the last time you were here it was packed full of revelers and partygoers. Finally, you're led to a familiar set of double doors. One of the rooms where the Boss had gone off to on her private business meetings before. You suppose this little meeting wasn't much different. "The Master would prefer if the two of you conversed alone." The Doll maid states as she puts her hands on the door handles. "However, if you wish your entourage to accompany you, that will be acceptable as well.""Fishy." SOPMOD mumbles."I concur." "Well, we'll be sure to come running when you start screaming like a little girl!" SOPMOD nods happily. "Um, thanks, I think." You grin before nodding to the Doll maid. The Doll opens the door and motions for you to step inside. You walk in, trying to stay calm as the you hear the doors close behind you with a soft click. And in front of you was Spencer himself, sitting calmly in his wheelchair, his life support equipment hooked into his body. Given how far medical technology had advanced, you wonder just how damn old Spencer was that not even Umbrella's biotech could keep him looking young. "Ah, we meet again, young man." Spencer wheezes as he chuckles. "I hear you're in quite the legal predicament.""It's a bit of an understatement, but yes." You nod. "Quite unfortunate. Quite unfortunate indeed." Spencer nods. "And you think I have the power to do something about it?""I wouldn't be here otherwise." You respond firmly. "That's my boy." Spencer's smile widens, pulling at his wrinkled and mottled skin. Spencer explains. "I was a member of the Council, the multinational ruling body representing humanity's interests in the Magic War. We of course locked away all the secrets of magic, telling everybody every last trace of it was gone. It was for the good of us all.""And a bigger profit for you." You surmise."Ha! I see you've inherited her sharp wit." Spencer hacks. "I do have to admit, magic does seem a lot more alluring than biotechnology. Still, there are quite a number of younger fools who wish to dabble in things they don't understand.""So you know about Wesker and Birkin." You say."Of course I do." Spencer waves a hand nonchalantly. "I make it my business to make sure I know what my subordinates are up to. Especially the ambitious ones. Though, my question is, how do YOU know?">Tell the truth. "So, if you knew about Wesker and Birkin's secret project, why didn't you do anything about it?" You ask."Politics and optics, boy." Spencer coughs. "Despite how it may look to outsiders, I'm not all powerful. Just eliminating my own executives on a whim doesn't endear much loyalty or trust, I'm afraid." "So, you can't do anything?" You frown."I never said that." Spencer tuts. "I'm saying is that, we both have an opportunity to solve our mutual problem. If Wesker and Birkin's project were to tragically and unexpectedly fail, causing great financial loss to my company...""...it would give you pretext to remove them." You finish."Excellent. Still sharp, I see." Spencer nods. "And if the party responsible happened to be a completely separate third party, well, it wouldn't be reasonable to levy accusations against me.""And you'll get the warrant off my head in return, right?" You raise an eyebrow. "Of course. We wouldn't have a deal if I didn't, now would we?" Spencer gives a devilish smile. You instinctively stand between it and Spencer, your skin hardening as it deflects the splinters away. And in front of you, you see both HK and SOPMOD pinning the Doll maid on the ground. Almost immediately, more maids and a Tyrant butler were right behind them, weapons aimed. "Now now, what is this all about?" Spencer grunts."Sorry about the mess, bossman!" SOPMOD chirps. "But little miss perfect here said something was up!""My electronic warfare module detected unusual wireless transmissions from this Doll unit." HK says simply. "It is my hypothesis that there is some sort of malicious software installed within it.""Is that so?" Spencer gives a little wave, and his house security immediately stands down. HK glances at you. "Lewis, permission to link my system with hers?" HK asks. "I may be able to trace the source, and even manipulate the data being sent back.""Whoaaaaa, connecting to an infected system? "The house is still standing!""Ha ha, Carol." You shake your head. "You won't believe it, Mom, but it looks like Spencer was part of a.... Council?""Motherfucker." Mom's casual smile quickly morphs into a scowl. "That makes way too much sense. He didn't give you too much trouble, did he?""No, he was pretty cooperative." You point out. "Guess he respected whatever deal there was to cover up your magic?""More like he's still scared of the threat old Bruttenholm put down on him and his cronies." Mom's grin returns. "They had a metric fuckton of dirt ready to be aired even back then.""Hey, hey, so where are we going?" Carol asks as the helicopter's engines start powering up. No doubt to make sure they didn't cause too much trouble.Auntie Egan starts walking off, forcing you to hurry a bit to follow her, HK striding right alongside you. She leads you through several heavy security doors before leading you into a workshop area, all sorts of equipment and T-Doll parts lining the walls and laying on work tables. "I have to warn you, some of this gear isn't fully tested or perfected. There could be... side effects for HK if she is to be installed with them." Auntie Egan warns.ADVANCED FIRE CONTROL MODULE: Once part of HK's original specifications, this module would have boosted her precision by a significant margin, achieving a 99% hit ratio in all conditions. However, the sheer amount of calculations required per second heavily taxes a T-Doll's processor, reducing mobility and reaction speed. Extended use requires periodic resets to clear cached data. LONGINUS RAILGUN: A weapon developed for the A2 Project, the Longinus Railgun is a T-Doll exclusive heavy weapon that fires heavy shells at hypersonic speeds. However, the weapon can only be powered by a T-Doll's onboard power source, giving it a limited rate of fire as it recharges between shots. It can fire a rapid three round burst at the risk of completely burning out the weapon.LOCUS EXO-ARMOR: A special powered exoskeleton that can be externally mounted on a T-Doll, greatly increasing their already superior speed and agility. "It's... not fully developed yet, so who knows what happens if you provoke it?""But, we CAN communicate with it, right?" You ask."I'm not really sure." Carol frowns. "It's still asleep. Not even fully conscious. I'm... I really don't know what will happen.">Okay, we'll leave it along.>I guess I'll give it a shot.>Other
>>3548643>Okay, we'll leave it along.
>>3548643>Okay, we'll leave it alone.
>>3548643>>I guess I'll give it a shot.>>3548642Honestly, seeing some of these BOWs, it could be neither.
>>3548643>I guess I'll give it a shot.
Rolled 18, 18, 8 = 44 (3d20)>>3548643"Well, I guess I'll give talking to it a shot." You say as you wade towards the black tumor."Lewie-" Carol moves to try to stop you, but you pick up speed to stay ahead of her. The black oil sticks to your legs as you wade closer. You reach our hand out to Nemesis and touch it, its flesh somehow feeling ice cold...>Roll 1d20
Rolled 10 (1d20)>>3548687
It’s too soon for it to be Lewis and Lucina’s kid... maybe it’s something by Vahlen?
Rolled 11 (1d20)>>3548687Did it just use Lewis as an appearance template?
Rolled 12 (1d20)>>3548687Oh goddamnit.
Rolled 14 (1d20)>>3548687>>3548690Probably the latter. I'd expect Lewis and Lucina's kid would take a few months to have a presence.
Rolled 4, 16, 10 + 3 = 33 (3d20 + 3)>>3548687...
>>3548699However, the tumor suddenly expands, like a great maw, and closes around your arm, engulfing it in black, icy flesh. You wince as you can feel the cold eating away at your arm. "Lewie!" Carol yelps as she swoops in. A swipe from a armored, clawed arm she quickly manifests severs the tendril of flesh from the main body, allowing her to pull you away from Nemesis. Without sustenance from the main body, the flesh wrapped around your arm begins to lose cohesion and slough off like melted snow. "I told you!" Carol chastises you as she smacks you in the forehead, Fortunately, she had morphed her arm back into its human form. "Stay away from it!""Sorry, I thought I could maybe talk with it or something..." You mutter."You can be such a dumb dumb sometimes!" Carol groans as she continues to pull you away from the tumor. "Sorry for making you worry like that." You sigh. "And uh, thanks for saving my ass there.""That's what big sisters do!" Carol grunts as she finally lets go of you. "Anyways, let's get this over with!""Get what over with?" You blink."Like I said, your Invader side has matured, so you can probably awaken another mutation!">That sounds neat.>I don't want to become TOO much like an Invader...>Other

>>3548714>I don't want to become TOO much like an Invader...
>>3548714>>I don't want to become TOO much like an Invader...No offence or anything. Though, I would probably support it more if we also learned a few more magic tricks.
>>3548714>>That sounds neat.

>>3548714>That sounds neat
Rolled 2 (1d2)>>3548714Well, looks like it's time for another roll off...1. Neat2. Don't want
>>3548734"I don't want to become TOO much like an Invader..." You mumble."Oh, well that's okay, we don't need to rush it!" Carol giggle as she ruffles your hair. "Don't worry about it! Your existing abilities are already pretty overpowered, anyways!""You're not mad?" You blink."Why should I be? It's what my baby brother chose, right?" Carol winks. "Whatever you choose, I'm confident you'll be fine!""Thanks, Carol." You smile as you hug her."Aaaaaanyways, you better get going already!" Carol flicks your forehead. "Can't have you oversleeping now, can we?""Huh-?" You blink as suddenly you fall through the surface of the water, sinking and sinking...Your eyes snap open and you sit up from your cot in a cold sweat. Did all of that happen? Or was it all just a dream?"Did you have a bad dream?" HK asks as she loyally sits at your side."Something like that." You wince. "What happened with Mom?""She simply drank herself unconscious, as expected." HK reports. "Springfield is currently preparing something for her inevitable hangover.""Yeah, sounds like Mom." You sigh. There's a brief, awkward silence as HK continues to stare at you, and you're not totally sure why.>Okay, you can carry on with your other duties.>Is there something you want to talk about?>Other

>>3548747>Is there something you want to talk about? Is it about her mind template?
>>3548747>>Is there something you want to talk about?>>3548753Could always be about Carol's personal Doll companion.
>>3548747>Is there something you want to talk about?
>>3548747"Is there something you want to talk about?" You ask, looking at HK curiously. "Ah, well, not exactly." HK pauses. "Well, perhaps. There's a subject that's been on my mind lately.""I was... wondering what would become of me if Dr. Egan's A2 Project was ever finished." HK glances at you. "It's quite obvious her specifications would be beyond any T-Doll built yet, including me. Would I be reassigned or decommissioned in that case?">Well of course you wouldn't!>Couldn't hurt to try teasing her a bit.>Other
>>3548758>Couldn't hurt to try teasing her a bit. She'd be cute in as a personal maid and caretaker of Lewis' kids.
>>3548758>of course not.No teasing on her biggest trauma

>>3548758>Well of course you wouldn't!
>>3548758>of course not.
>>3548758"Well of course not!" You assure her. "Really, A2 would be more like Carol's personal T-Doll, so there shouldn't be any ovelap with your role.""But-""It's not an issue, HK." You repeat. "You're my partner and that's not changing until either or both of us are dead. Understood?""Understood." HK nods. "I apologize for speaking out of line like that.""Don't worry about it." You wave it off. "Now come on, let's get something to eat. I get the feeling it's going to be a hectic day.""Of course." HK nods again. This time, though, you could almost swear you could see her giving a relieved smile. >And that's it for tonight! We coming down to the end here, so it's very likely the the next thread will be the last one for this quest! Hope to see you all there for the finale starting on Friday!
>>3548779Thanks for running Merc!
>>3548779See you next time, boss!
>>3548779Thanks for the wild ride, Merc.
I swear that we don't start giving our Dolls real names, it'll be the kids calling them nanny.
>>3549196>kidsI hope Carol can hold out a bit longer because in a few years, I feel like the Hive Mind will have quite a few voices (depending on if Invader genes promote twins, triplets, quadruplets, or more)
