Or, boy, at least. But in this post-apocalyptic cloud city, there's so many things to worry about besides.Having recently emerged from the safety of the shelter you spent your entire life inside, with your mother and your dog, you have had to adjust to life in the outside world; a ruined city choked by toxic clouds that seem to reach to the horizon. Fortunately you have received help from some scavengers who dwell in an old skyscraper above the clouds, and they have taken you in and offered you a place among them in their community and their home. It's been about two months since you left your shelter, and most of them since spent living with the scavengers of whom you've gotten to know a few and become known by all for your strange circumstances. Slowly but surely you are acclimating not just to the outside world but to other people as well, and while life is tough outside it's not as deadly or hopeless as mother had always led you to believe. It's no shelter, this new life but you're starting to get used to it nonetheless.Something it's made you think though, is why hasn't anyone cleaned things up since the big war? Maybe that's something you could do, after you figure out how to play the supposed part nature has determined for you for your gender, and of course when mother returns.>A post apocalyptic quest in a ruined city...
For the time being though, it's another morning in the cloud city. Plenty of time to do as you like, though you've been a little waylaid as of late due to health issues. Suffering some longer term effects of concussion and infection, which baffles the resident doctor. Considering of course how everyone else seemed able to recover from injuries as dire as gunshots, in a some few days. Naturally more than the doctor is worried though. Ever since the truth of your identity was discovered, people are still trying to come to terms with it and make some sense. The first boy in... nobody knows how long?At least though your place in the community is becoming more accepted, and you're not being kept a prisoner anymore for your own safety, as the adults have begun to slowly realize overtime that you are fairly capable in your own right and can contribute to the community in various ways. Considering how well you handled yourself during a recent attack on the building by a hostile gang. And the good news being, as per your ongoing request to return home to your original shelter, there's been agreed to have some adults escort you there as soon as you're feeling able and ready to leave.Of course you haven't just been twiddling your thumbs in the meantime of your bout of poor health. In further ingraining yourself with the community you've started to learn from others and as per the culture of the tribe, in particular electronics. You're not some master but you're starting to understand these devices from the old world, how they work and how they're assembled, compared to how before they had been mysteries and seemed like magic. Such is the case now, as after breakfast you've returned to one of the workshops of the tower to continue dismantling and assembling an RC car from last night.>What do you do?
>>3462631How is our leg doing? After we finish at the shop we can seek out Kim and schedule a day to go out if we feel better already, if we don't search for our friends and see what they are up to, maybe we can cross the gap to the other building.
>>3462656It's fully healed now, after a worrisome bout of staying in the healthcare wing, though you have a scar to show for it. Your first scar in fact, though it is rather puny.As for traveling out again, you've talked with Kim about this several times already so it's no trouble. As far as you can tell, while the tribe are all naturally hesitant about you leaving the tower, they agreed that you can be escorted out if it's something short like a trip to the neighboring tower. It's just your call when you feel up to it, to either head over there or to request a more expansive endeavor to return home again and possibly leave notification for mother as to your current whereabouts. The adults already agreed to that, they were just waiting for when you returned to health and wanted to go.Though in the meantime if you'd rather you can seek out your friends. As you know, any efforts to leave the building are quite an undertaking when it comes to time, so if you busy yourself in the workshop for much of today there won't be any time left to traverse the gap to the neighboring buildings. Or, building. There's two but the tribe won't let you go to the other inhabited one for obvious reasons.
>>3462631hey!How's that enemy leader? stioll aropund? can we look at her arm? How's the work on the two robots? did the girls go to the robot experts? can we drop by there now that we are going to our shelter?See Joan, get treated, the faster we get better the faster we can leave a note to mom, get an update on her experiments too, has she decided who is going to be the first to try? and how?
>>3462717Go to the neighbouring tower instead of working today then, see if our friends want to come along, we can go to the green stuff in the roof.
>>3462729Supporting. Also see if there are any robots we can acquire for a reasonable price there.
>>3462729Sure, we can do that for now, we should be getting that quality food already.
>>3462729Make sure to grab some money with Kim, a nice dinner party with Jess and whoever is there to when we get back, we need the quality food to recover better, maybe it took so long because of our sanitation and nutrition.
>>3462722>>3462729>>3462741>>3462743>>3462761Vicky, you've come to learn the name of, the former leader of the Downtown gang which attacked. The tribe have kept her a prisoner ever since the attack, however since being deposed by her own, she's since become less hostile and increasingly cooperative. Probably weighing her options, if she can't return home and faces execution, perhaps better to just face reality and try to earn her keep. Her goal had always been to seek dwelling Uptown after all and she wouldn't be the first gang member from below the tribe incorporated.Assuming there's agreement about sparing her. In the meantime the main focus has been studying her cybernetic arm, since being detached when she was imprisoned, but she's tried to pull her weight with some simple work around and always under supervision. She's even set aside some of the enmity towards you, and you can't help but have some interest in her since you yourself have wanted to learn how to fight and protect yourself and she definitely knows. You just haven't considered yet asking her.In any case you would like to return home but maybe in a day or a few, for now you'd like to first head over to the neighboring building. Your first chance since your full identity being known, to get out again. Kim won't be coming with you, instead another scavenger likely, but if you want you're allowed to bring one friend. Of course it will depend on whether said particular friend is available, but if you have someone in mind you can specify. Then after this outing you can figure out the longer term journey to return home and possibly the robotics facility? From what little you know however, it's not really a place outsiders can travel to or at least no one of the tribe has ever been there compared to the Red Cross for example. Your interest in that place would probably determine the reason for going, as if you're interested in merely obtaining new/more robots, there are far easier places to go where that can be done.>Who might you want to bring with you if you are going out? You can think this over as you visit Joan in the health center, for her to check you over and clear you to travel beyond the home skyscraper. Also if you wish, you can talk to or ask her about anything particular you want to know while there.
Oh, and for some added benefit, here is a pastebin with some relevant information including links to the prior threads. Though, you shouldn't need to read them in order to understand what's generally going on in the quest;https://pastebin.com/5V4GdagC
>>3462800Bring Jess with us, who is the adult coming with?Make sure to grab our spy drone too, we may use it there. As for the robots, if there are easier places to go I think we should try there first, either to find replacement parts for the 2 we have or grab a new one for the tribe, those things are very useful.

>>3462857>>3462839>>3462826>>3462894>81Jess is your best friend, there's no way you could leave her if she's available. That would be like leaving your dog Daisy behind. She's happy for the chance to go and will gather her things while you visit with Joan."Aaand... look all good to me. No fever or redness, and you're not having headaches anymore, no dizziness or fainting?""No'm. Am good now, feel.""Maybe we can stop worrying for awhile now, hmm?"Relieved at your recovery, your poor health for a time was of great concern to Joan because she couldn't understand it compared to how well everyone else usually fares. But that you're doing better now, she can breathe easy again. Although she would prefer that you didn't go out, she thinks you're in good enough condition to do so. While there with her though you also ask after her experiments into the concern about making a new person. In the time that you've been sick, she's done her side of the work; she's figured out the timing and knows when it would have to be done if it were to take place. Both for herself and Maria as you'd previously brought up the possibility of either being a mother again as the women of the tribe with the most children already. Ironically enough, she also brings up the possibility of Vicky since already she's a prisoner and could be of further use to the tribe, as you know the potential risk involved so little worry there if anything goes wrong with a former enemy. In any case she's figured out her side of the situation, now it's up to you really. If you've figured out what you need to do since last, and when you'd want to. Everything else seems in place, if Joan knows what she's talking about. Though as you know, this is all rather unexplored territory for everyone involved, so who knows really.Something to consider, as you pack your things in your room and grab ahold of Daisy to carry, when Jess comes to find you with her own bag and ready to go. All that remains... is the travel across the gap between the buildings. >In reaching the other building, what's your list of priorities then? A reminder of the facilities available there, a functioning old world restaurant, a food court with some supplies still, a rooftop cafe and overgrown gardens, and an old gym with some few still-working amenities. These, that you know of.
>>3462885>>3462884>>3462826It's mostly a question of what capacity you "want" robots. If you want to trade for any or just buy some there are places that can be done from what you've heard. Actually repairing them after being destroyed however is much more difficult and requires someone skilled with that, thus the need for a specialist from the robotics place. As people can't exactly travel there, it's up to making the request and sending the word and hoping eventually the request will be heard and answered. The Coned facility, where this all takes place, is more removed from the affairs of the city than other places so it's not always so certain or easy things will happen.
>>3462957Rooftop greenhouse, then the gym, then food before we leave. Also keep an eye out for sporting goods stores and electronics.

>>3462992I think we still need to figure out how to get the stuff, we only know where it comes from, we'll have to probably wait until our next wet dream kek
>>3462992If you actually know what to do. Do you though? Either way it's just a choice for you, since you're the deciding factor they're open to you choosing what or who you want.>>3462977>>3462968Very well then, you can head to the roof first and see how things are.Just a heads up though, I have to duck out for a bit, shouldn't be long but we'll resume here when I return. If you have anything to consider in the meantime till then, or ask for when I get back.
>>3463047Well, the current theory is to join underparts and wait for something to happen , maybe a bright light or a baby popping out of nowhere, right? Get Maria or Joan, whoever is ready first and try that, we can try it later tho.
>>3463062Or a stork arrives. Could work, something to keep in mind then.>>3463047Together then with Jess and Daisy in your arms, you shove into the metal frame basket that hangs from the steel cable bundle drawn between this skyscraper and the next. A sheer drop into the clouds below and who knows what beneath, a scary experience though you're getting more used to it while the others don't seem bothered at all. A slow going process as the basket is drawn along the cable but it's the only option available, till eventually the other side is reached by about midday.---"Ooh, green is.""Look at! Come Alexa!"You've seen it before with Kim, but everyone is surprised to see the overgrown rooftop once you all travel up there by elevator. The adults marvel at the sight though their focus is mostly on the old appliances of the cafe that could be taken, while Jess runs outside to roll around in the greenery of the rooftop. You can let Daisy down for her to explore while you join Jess, and she tries to trap up your legs and play wrestle with you for fun."Hey, look is!""...what is?""Bird, dum dum!"You're not the only ones up here as there's a whole lot of birds around in nests and overhead the more you notice. You've seen birds before since emerging from the shelter but never this close and never really in a situation where you could figure out what they were. Other animals, like dogs it turns out, when you'd thought they were drones or robots or something. Interesting to watch though Jess thinks it's a good source of food apparently, as that's where folks Uptown get most of their meat (what little they can get) from. What about the greenery though you wonder, the plants? Is there nothing to eat from those or at least nothing to do with them? It seems like an important and valuable find since you've not seen other places like it, although Jess is more interested in hunting birds and the adults are more interested in stealing old coffee machines.>What do you do?

For now though you don't expect you'll get many answers so you go along with Jess's interest instead; hunting a bird."What for do?""No'm, think just only throw some?"It's not like you have a gun handy or anything like that to just attack one of the birds at range, but she still thinks that's the best idea. So looking around, the two of you trek back to the cafe where the adults are busy and look around to find some old mugs. Smaller ones at least, good enough to throw, as you return outside and follow after Jess as she gets low and starts crawling along the green undergrowth. "See'm? In bird bed."As you noticed, there's many clusters of trash and dead plants around, gathered and packed into little donut shapes which some of the birds sit in and Jess says is where they live and sleep. So after she picks one out, you watch and wait with anticipation as she winds back her arm and throws the mug. She misses the first throw but with your mug she gets a second try and hits the bird dead on with a flutter of feathers and a topple of the nest with it."Gonna fall off?!After all that anticipation you get too excited to just let the possibly dead bird and nest fall over the edge, and you jump to your feet to run and dive for it. It shouldn't be that risky anyway as you can see the edge so it's not like you're going to just run and fall off the side of the building without noticing. What you hadn't anticipated though, was that overtime the plants could have grown enough to overhang the sides of the roof. And what you thought was just more of the roof was actually a bundled green mass of plants hanging off the side with nothing beneath."Ah, Alexa no so!"You manage to grab the nest and the stunned bird, but only just before you feel the "ground" beneath you give way. A rustle of plants both alive and dead as they cave away beneath your weight, and you start to fall. Jess rushes and dives to catch you, holding you at the edge and having stopped you from falling completely off the side and to the clouds beneath. But the more she struggles to pull you back up the more the green growth at the side continues to give way under the both of you, and had you known beforehand you'd have let go of her to save her. But the last thing you recall is the sudden drop as she slips through the plant mass and falls with you.>Fair to not waste that 97, you can roll once more to see how the fall goes...

The heavy impact, as you feel a dull ache through your body and eventually, slowly regain consciousness from something wet on your hand."D-D-Daaii...ssyy..."Licking your hand, it seems Daisy found you at least. As you pull the dog close and hold her for comfort, the confusion and dizziness gradually fades for you to be able and struggle to move around, to get up but you collapse to the pain. Hazily you check yourself over and while it doesn't seem you're bleeding or anything like the last time you fell, your legs are throbbing miserably. You must have landed feet first rather than on your side or to bang your head like last time, maybe for the best but it leaves you unable to stand up or walk for the time being. Crawling around then you can come to notice that you're not dead, first of all, so you must not have fallen clear off the roof. By the look of things and the exposure to the elements you're inside the building again, it seems a portion where the roof and floors above must have collapsed away in the past. You're atop mostly just rubble and debris from who knows how many years of structural failure and decay, what you landed on. A lot of it loose too so it's not like you just hit flat solid ground, but you probably wouldn't count that as a blessing, instead that you didn't fall completely off the building and die is the miracle."J-J... JJJeeeesss?"Now sure that you're not dead, your mind immediately jumps to your next concern. Looking and moving around, you seek Jess out as your friend is nowhere in sight. Some clumsy effort on your part as your rough movements cause some more of the building to crumble over the side and give you a scare, but looking down you see her; laying in a motionless mess on a lower roof. The very top of the building where you'd fallen from, by the look of things is a couple floors above you and a fall you barely survived, while Jess fell father overhead and hit a lower roof a couple floors beneath where you are. Again, a miracle that a portion of the building jutted out just enough for there to be a lower roof to begin with, but it's still a worse fall than your own and Jess isn't moving. "J-Jess!"
You have to get down there and help her, see if she's alright. But how? Partly from still reeling from the fall perhaps, partly in desperation but you consider hurling yourself over the side after her. You already survived one fall, what's another of similar distance? And supposing you could break your fall landing on more rubble below, if anything it's the fastest way to reach her. But for her sake as much as yours, maybe there's a better way? To have to crawl or struggle to walk some way down though and then get to her... how long could that take? You'd hoped to have the adults to rely on but they must be looking for you already so all you've got is Daisy.>What do you do?

Mustering your strength then and bracing against the pain, you struggle to half-crawl half-hobble and alternate between the two as you search for a way down. You're not sure where the adults are but if Daisy could find a way down from the roof to you then you should be able to find a way down to reach Jess. It's not easy for sure, trying to navigate a strange building that itself is half a ruin already. Several times you think you find a way but it's just a caved in dead end or opens up to the exposed sky where the building collapsed away likely many years prior. Eventually though after having traveled down three floors of a maintenance access ladder you found (struggling all the more with Daisy in your arms), you then are able to clamor your way through rubble to the portion of the building which juts out to the side and from there find a different ladder up to that roof. Hoisting Daisy up first, you desperately climb after and despite your aching legs stagger to your downed friend as best you can."Jess! Jess?! No'm die please!"Falling beside her you tearfully pull her close in a pleading hug, but quickly realize and recall that in her state that might be for the worse so you gently lay her down again and try to check her over. She's not dead at least, you can feel her breathing but it's not good. She's non-responsive and bleeding from the head where she must have clipped it during or from the fall, the seeping crimson matting both the bird nest beside and her naturally red hair in a worrisome mess. Unsure of what to do, you know she needs help but how to get it? You're not sure where the adults are and you don't want to just run off either and leave her here. Getting her inside seems the best idea, but then you're not even sure if she should be moved or not.Oh how you wish you knew as much as Joan did. After that, getting better help. Carefully then you try to drag Jess back to the roof access hatch and wrack your brain for awhile on how to get her down and inside. First thing first is to carry Daisy down as you set her inside to wait below. After that though, you finally settle on hoisting Jess on your back and holding her arms around your neck. With all your might then and against the agony in your legs, you try your very hardest to slowly and carefully back down the ladder while hanging onto Jess as much as you can. Towards the bottom you end up slipping and falling some of the way, but manage to fall on your front so that you don't just land on Jess. >>3464038Wew, she's good, I guess that just confirms that everyone is at least a little mutant, with the rapid recovery and resistence to the colored water.Hug and kiss her, say we are glad she was ok and we were very worried, ahe bled a lot, thank her for trying to save us and say we were sorry we made us fall.Go up, see the adults, when we get back down stop at the showers and clean up the wounds and blood to prevent infection.
>>3464038She's getting an extra life when we figure things out, we can't risk her falling and cracking her head open. Find the adults for now.
> Better not drink that nasty stuff again.....
>>3464106>>3464074>>3464047>>3464061She merely kneels beside to check how you are, but you tearfully throw your arms around her and pull her close in a big hug much to her surprise."Heya... ok'm Alexa?""Think you big hurt... worry you die...""Huh? No'm! Never for you!"Confused at first, when she sees how worried you actually were and how relieved you are, she happily affirms that she's alright and it's all ok. Returning the hug wholeheartedly and kissing you to feel better, you share a close moment for some time in each other's arms before she wants to see you better. You can operate the elevator then and have it return to the roof. Though incidentally you find no sign of the adults, and it makes sense that your correct theory about them being stuck on the roof unable to use the elevator, they would seek another way down. Exactly how they did get down from here you can't immediately tell, but it's obvious that they must have otherwise how else would Daisy have gotten down if they hadn't brought her down with them? Simply, she was able to find you better than they were.Well you know the protocol, that you can just return to the metal basket crossing for the way back home, when getting separated or lost that's the thing to do and eventually everyone will meet up there. However it'll probably be waiting some time for them to return there at the end of the day if they're busy looking for you. You could instead try to seek the adults out yourself with Jess, or just take care of whatever business you already had in mind like going to the gym.Otherwise the responsible thing, returning to the crossing and waiting. All things considered it wasn't much of an outing, you crossed over and then within an hour already fell off the roof and got hurt. But after all that's happened, you wouldn't mind just taking it easy and waiting till the others find you.>What do you do?
>>3464145Go to the gym and take a shower to clean up after this, inspect what damage we may have, we can look for them after we are done.
>>3464145We can try to use our drone to find them faster, it would be a good test
>>3464203Yeah that's a clever idea, you can roll for that if you like. Just the chance of finding them.
Rolled 55 (1d100)>>3464208
Rolled 87 (1d100)>>3464208
>>3464038we just drank fucking glass cleaner? dafuq
>>3464246We did it before too, apparently it's what passes for a social drink around here
>>3464246Glass cleaner? What's that?>>3464219>>3464217>87You're not in your best state at the moment so going looking for the adults isn't too appealing. While you're here though, you would appreciate the chance to make use of the gym before finding the others, which Jess doesn't mind at all. More chance to explore places she's never been. So you take the elevator to the building's fitness center, an eerie old abandoned place but for your benefit still has running water so the locker rooms are your goal. Mother always instilled a strong care for hygiene in you so it's not like you don't keep clean back home in the other skyscraper, but the showers here actually work compared to the sinks there. Or at least, the ones you can use. Of course it takes a bit for the water to get running in the rusty old pipes here, but before long you and Jess can appreciate the chance to wash. Particularly when she finds out you have soap and shampoo, uncommon enough things according to her. Poor Daisy meanwhile recognizes a potential wash when she sees one and flees when the water comes on."No'm nothing?""Nope, no hurt. See?"You're close enough with Jess to be able to wash together without any embarrassment, just a shared amusement about your body differences. Your particular interest though is to see if she really is alright while you wash her hair, and sure enough you find the wound where her head busted open has clotted. Not fully healed but as bad as it was you felt sure she was in serious danger and would need proper medical care, but here she is with just a scabby patch on her head and no other injuries to find besides. You wonder if there will even be a scar leftover in a couple days."Leg ok?""More, no all."You get the same courtesy as she has some fun washing your hair and checking you over to see if you're hurt. She definitely got the worst of the fall, you don't have any wounds to show for it though your legs still ache. At least you can walk though, probably a day or so and you'll feel right again but nothing like recovering from a split skull. Feeling confident then that neither of you are seriously hurt, you share a bit of an awkward but genuine hug before finishing up showering. Both clean and smelling nice, and happy. A spare set of clothes as well to serve as a makeshift towel, and while drying off on one of the few remaining benches in the locker room, you figure to try and find the adults with your drone."Whoah-ah!""Care, can for if you want."It takes some getting used to since you've only flown the thing around the open air so navigating through corridors isn't easy much less a building you're not too familiar with. Eventually though after searching around several floors the adults must have heard the sound of the drone because they approach it and wave along with other signals. Much better than going to look for them or waiting at the crossing for them to return.
So then, unless you had anything else in mind, you and Jess can get dressed again and meet up with the adults for the last order of business being the restaurant.>What do you do?
>>3464289Go there, order whatever resembles a bird, we deserve it after almost dying to get one.
>>3464289Just to be sure, on our way down there, ask the elevator if there is a place to buy robots or weapons.
>>3464289Does this place has a security HQ or something like that? might be worthwhile to check it after eating
>>3464299>>3464306>>3464295Accordingly, the elevator system has no knowledge of any place in the building to buy robots or weapons. As it turns out though, apparently there is a security office for the building. However it's down on one of the lower floors so it seems likely that there may be clouds inundating the building there. But it's something to keep note of.>>3464287This will probably be my last post of the night then, we'll continue here tomorrow around a similar time.Till then, thanks all for playing! And in the meantime if you have any questions or things that don't seem clear or about the quest so far/prior threads, feel free to ask and I'll answer if I can.
>>3464327Keep that in mind for when the wind clears the way
>>3464327Ask the adults that had already been here if there is any other floor they could not access before and that we can take them with the elevator, or if there is a security door we can try to open while disguised by the jammer.Have a nice dinner with Jess and don't forget to feed Daisy something good, poor old dog took a scare today.
We should ask AI Lift if there is a Maintenance Centre etc.... There could be Repair Bots or Janitor Bots etc..... We should ask about a Medical Clinic too.....
>>3465658sure, while we are here we can map that out too, see what floors they are
Going to continue here in a bit.
>>3464299>>3464295>>3464306>>3464369>>3464563>>3465658>>3465668With use of the elevator and having met up with the others again, you can proceed to the restaurant once they're convinced you're not in immediate need of medical attention. Seems some rumors about of you being rather fragile compared to other people who can take getting shot without much problem."Other some place here mountain, no can to?""Other some place, just only clouds for."Well if the lower majority of the building is usually flooded with clouds then it would make sense there are places that Kenna and the others have never been. She doesn't seem that concerned about going there though, and with your account to pay for anything, food is on everyone's minds. During the elevator descent though you do feel like asking about any possible machines at all even if there is no store for such things. Mention of a maintenance department where it sounds like, among other things, there are robots which clean the exterior of the building. But again, in the lower levels it's probably inaccessible due to the clouds.---"Welcome back Alexa and Guests! So glad to have you again, will you be dining in today?"You're understandably nervous when returning to the restaurant since last time you recall seeing dead bodies around. Thankfully your fears are unfounded when of course, any such unpleasantness has long been removed and cleaned away. The adults seem on edge with weapons ready in case the robots should turn hostile but with you here and the phone and tied account available, so far everything goes smoothly as you're shown to a booth sizeable enough to fit everyone and the restaurant slowly hums to life."What is say?""Menu, stuff for eat."Some of the adults can't read at all, so you already have to do interpreting work with the robots but also between the grownups for what they want to eat. They'd thought to just be taking a lot of food home, but you want a nice dinner and can... well, trick them into it, which no one is complaining about. In any case you can spend a pleasant hour or two enjoying the food and company and the nice view over the clouds of the few buildings tall enough stand above them. Always that nagging worry in the back of your mind about how much resources are left on your account and how much is being spent (as you don't want to be around when something is attempted to paid for and there's nothing left), but don't bother yourself about that now.>Anything in mind to talk about or ask of those there? Or let the conversation up to them?
>>3466158Try to take some bottles with us, mom used to drink them and they may be better than that stuff the girls drinkask if any of them knows where we can buy robots, and if any of them will be coming with us to the shelterask if they know how to grow food on the roof
Ask for Fruits to take with us, we can put the seeds on the Roof and maybe in a few pots back in the other building.
>>3466158Ask Jess if she think we being different is weird, and why she think we stay hurt but she and the others don't, if we fell where she was we would probably be dead.>>3466190Do we know about alcohol? If they have it we could try to take some.Slip some food to Daisy when no one is looking, we know they don't like to share with her. Then we go back I guess if the clouds won't let us get to the cleaning bots, they could be useful, we are always thinking we should clean up the place.Meta: so I guess the population is slowly mutating due to the method the Red Cross is using right? The girls have some serious regen capabilities, that would explain them becoming full mutties some times too.
If we can get to a Maedical Clinic in this building, maybe we can get some Nanites or Cybernetic Augments? Or maybe Gene Mods?
>>3466223>>3466222>>3466190You're aware of what funny drinks are, mother had some on occasion but you'd assumed they were like the same colored drinks the older people enjoy. Something you can take when you leave at least, along with food being brought back home. In the meantime you try to slip food to Daisy who nervously sits beside the booth after the adults kicked her for going under the table to beg. She was indispensable help today so deserves a reward! All the while the adults chat and laugh between themselves about this and that while eating with their hands and making a mess, though isn't that how everyone is these days? You still manage to get in a question or two when they're interested to ask you something all the same like what your home was like (since some of them will be accompanying you to the place) or whether you think you could bargain with the Empress of the city with the value you have. Of course you want to know where to buy robots, though none of them seem aware of any certain location however going to the Underway is a consistent answer, sounding like some sort of trading place Downtown? You recall the formerly hostile gang mentioning the place as well. There's also the matter of growing things, however that's not a concept any of them are familiar with. On this answer they're more clear though, to seek out one of the other Uptown tribes who does grow things, of which there's several apparently. Other buildings with green, overgrown tops which are made use of by those who live there now. Probably buildings with small rooftop parks, gardens or greenhouses, which now are the only places anything can be grown at all really considering the way the world is."No'm good for... am other?""Hmm? Is ok! Other and good too!"You can Jess can talk together though without need of butting in on the adults talking, but you eventually and nervously get around to asking her something which had been bothering you for awhile now. About how different you are and whether that's a bad thing. Considering how resilient everyone else seems and you aren't, no wonder all the men died if women are so tough. Of course you try to keep it down but Kenna and the other adults aren't paying you much attention anyway."And fall? Fore, down. Am die, if fall too. Why is?""Noooo, no die! Live like Jess!" she gives you a playful hit, which inevitably makes you feel a bit better about things, "Live all life in home, yes? Other all world new for, some winters for norma!"
You like that logic, it makes sense to you. Having lived your whole life inside a small safe house, while everyone else lived in the outside world, it's reasonable that they would be used to it after their whole lives in it. How many times have you fallen from high, compared to how many times Jess has fallen from high? Maybe she's used to it, getting hurt badly while you're not so obviously it would take some getting used to. Maybe after a few years and you'll be able to get shot with a gun and shrug it off! After all, just looking and one can see the proof; your delicate slender form is soft and without all but a single scar, meanwhile the adults are rough and tough and have many scars to show from living in the outside world. And considering Jess busted her head open but probably won't have a scar for it, the adults must have been through much worse injuries to show the signs. Some peace of mind then, as you let your worries settle down and just enjoy the rest of the dinner. And when it's time to go, sunset coming on, you make a big order of a lot of food to take home but you also have an idea of maybe getting some fruits? You can recall times where mother brought you something special from outside into the shelter, like apples. You remember eating them but having to spit out those nasty "seed" things? She said you'd get apples growing in your tummy if you swallowed them... well what if you put them where the other plants are growing? Worth a try later, maybe.>Back home then? Anything else to keep you in the building overnight?
>>3466291Nanites? Cybernetic Augments? Gene Mods? What are those crazy sounding things? Where would you have heard of or encountered them before?
>>3466350No, I guess we're good for now, we will probably have a big journey in a day or two.Grab the fruits and the funny drink to share with Jess and some more friends before bed, we can make a slumber party at our room, tomorrow we grab tell Kim we are ready to go.
>>3466350Let's go back>>3466375I like the party, we don't know how long we'll be out and would be good to do something without the older girls around, if our room is too little we can go to that room where the girls use the light to signal other mountainsTake some pictures of the robots with our camera, we can show them to some vendors on the way to see if they have spare parts, or can fix them
>>3466350We should tak with Vicky, see if she still resents us, and get some info on Downtown, what we can find there and why she risked so much to get in Uptown.
Apologies, took a little bit to properly write this out,>>3466433>>3466393>>3466375Taking pictures of the robots in question is a clever idea, since you do have a camera. In any case Kenna and the adults carry the bags of to-go food while you have Jess sneak some drink bottles, and you grab some fruits. Having paid for it all without issue, you can take your leave, to make your way through the building back to the elevator and then to the floor where the crossing is. All in all not too bad of a day, the fall from the roof was a close call but Jess is fine and you're ambulatory now so nothing too bad to show for it all. On the proper floor then after leaving the elevator, you get a look at the setting sun through the windows of the far side of the building, seeing the specs of dust in the air and appreciating this amount of freedom again compared to how you'd been confined to small rooms before this. As you go to catch up with the others though, you notice ahead the adults having dropped the food to withdraw to the sides of the corridor. Kenna standing tense in the middle and Jess left confused while weapons are fumbled for."Back! Jess, take her!"Although she'd been a bit clueless as to what was going on at first, when whisper-yelled at by the nearest grownup, Jess acts immediately and practically tackles you and drags you towards the elevator again. Seems there's familiarity with this sort of thing, though you still don't know what's up save for some whistling sound you can hear. Struggling against her, Jess eventually lets you go so you can grab Daisy, and the two of you can peer out of the elevator and down the hall where you catch sight of now, a person emerging... two and three to follow or more. Dressed rather simply, scraggly, and moving like a prowling animal towards your own adults."See them? What is?""Other some tribe, dum dums."You fear for the worst of course and maybe that fear isn't misplaced, but you were expecting an immediate fight between the two sides when instead they appear to be staring each other down, uneasily testing one another for dominance in the situation. Unfortunately your own adults don't have any guns, reserved for only the most dire situations like attacks on the home. But then neither do these other people, for as primitively dressed as they are, so too are they armed with makeshift spears, clubs and even bows. You recall back to your conversation with Hardbody about cavemen humans from the oldest times, and wonder... if it was anything like this? What are the protocols here you wonder though? The grownups aren't even talking, or rather your own are talking nervously among one another while the opposing side are using gestures with some meaning that's lost on you but seems to be picked up by all the scavengers present. In the elevator already though, you consider hitting the button or asking for another floor, but is escape worth being separated?>What do you do?
>>3466594Wait, no need to escape for now if they don't become hostile, do dum dums talk?Maybe we could propose a trade to ease the tensions, trade usually eases tensions.Leave our drone ready, maybe it can scare them
>>3466594Tell the adults to slowly retreat to the elevator with us, we go up a floor and pass behind them, or if needed ambish them from a different direction when we get down through the stairs
>>3466642I like this more.but if they can't communicate, going around them through the elevator seems reasonable
>>3466668I guess the proper question is, do you want to avoid these other people altogether? Because it seems they were waiting at the crossing point, probably for you. So to avoid them may mean hiding or waiting out somewhere in this building for a time until they give up and leave.>>3466642Apparently, at least according to Jess, they are able to talk but it's hard to understand them for how simple they are. If you want to get involved you can try though.
>>3466707well, we are nosy, get involved them, ask them what they want and if they would move, we would like to pass
>>3466707Well, if the apparently are waiting for us let's talk.Who are themWhat they wantHow did they come hereWhere do they live
>>3466753Can these people even talk?
>>3466736>>3466753>>3466761Never one to sit on the sidelines, when you get a better sense of the situation, you figure to get a better look and listen. Naturally the adults on your side start yelling at you to get back and Jess realizing she could get in trouble rushes to try and grab you. Incidentally however, upon sighting children the tribals visibly ease up, and you quickly notice some dogs with them that must have picked up on Daisy and perk up. Not that they're not angry with you it seems, but Kenna and the others if it means a lessening of hostilities, allow you and Jess to remain nearby as you listen and watch what you can. A better look as well as you can see these primitive women with simple or scant clothes of old materials, animal furs, and even plant matter like dried woven grasses. Their bodies are painted as well and their hair braided in ways that must have some cultural significance, and their weapons as well seem to be crudely made by hand from cobbled together items like long pipe sharpened at the end. And nothing to say, of their behavior and mannerisms, much like a wild animal from that cat you encountered after leaving the shelter."Mhm, mhm." almost unintelligible speech but very emotive expression, as one of the tribals gestures upwards and over to the other side of the building and opens her fists beside her eyes, "Sun." another adds in, drawing her hands to her chest like a hugging motion, before reaching out to each of your side one after the other."No'm live up place, already fore."It seems the topic of discussion is the restaurant and how it came to life upon your entry of the place. Kenna attempts to pass it off as nothing, but the tribals gesture to the to-go food so very obviously know something is up. Apparently they want who's responsible, but aren't sure which and your side isn't intent on giving that away. "Who is all?" you whisper aside to Jess while keeping your eyes on the uneven exchange taking place."Dum dums all other Uptown mountain. Big all other them is. Look for stuff some time, see lights?"It seems that this lot are just one of many similar, primitive tribes of Uptown, most in fact if Jess is to be believed. While the electronic scavengers you know came to dwell in a skyscraper that was still semi-functioning and had some old world purpose (a wealth of consumer electronics within) that influenced the inhabitants after the big war, it would seem most were not so lucky. Not like Jess has traveled that much but from what the adults have told her, these tribals you're looking at, are the majority of Uptown dwellers.
Just in this specific case they probably dwell in a neighboring building and came here hunting for goods, or as it would seem at the moment, after seeing the restaurant light up to life and activity when your group arrived to have dinner. You recall a similar situation happening with some Downtown raiders when Kim first discovered you, this time it seems tribals came looking instead. Though your people aren't any more at ease for it, as patience could wear thin if there's no progress made to the exchange and demands taking place between the two groups.>What do you do?
>>3466938Fuck, it seems we won't be using the restaurant again if it means attracting attention, or maybe only use during the day so the lights won't attract attention.Maybe offer them a trade? What do they have? If they want to know the restaurant is still live and they can try go there but we don't know how much success that would have.
>>3466938Just leave peacefully.
>>3466938So they want the one responsible? Tell it was a metal person, no longer here.Tell them there is a similar place down the building, much easier if you can avoidd the clouds, instruct them about the cafeteria.
>>3466993>>3466999>>3466979Oh dear three different options. Well you could try to encourage Kenna and the adults to lie, or make some trade, or even just leave. You can settle on the option and make a roll though for the success if you like, usual 1d100.
>>3466938Does the adults have a walkietok to call armed backup from the tribe? They could also bring some things to trade, get some food for the dum dums and get everything we can from them, they should have some stuff if they at least understand trade, and if we have more people it will dissuade them from attacking.Regarding the food, tell them we stole and the metal guardians are very angry, they should not try.
Rolled 93 (1d100)>>3467020If leaving is an option lets do that, I thought they would not let us
Rolled 16 (1d100)>>3467020Lie to the dum dums, they are dum dums afterall, a metal persom came, made it alive and we saw it just like they did, we collected what we could, and can trade with them with a ludicrous favor to us like european explorers dealing with natives.that is, if they have anything to trade besides their weapons.
Rolled 85 (1d100)>>3467047lie and trade seems good, >>3467026 leaving with this afterwards
>>3467023They do have communication means, but the time it would take for them on the home side to pull the basket back, load up and then travel back over would be significant. >>3467026You can leave but it won't be without opposition from them. Like they won't just let you go without a fight, to say.>>3467047>>3467080So between lying and retreating. You could trade, probably the food would make them happy. Or give it to them as a gift. They do seem aware of the concept of trade so you're not sure how actually stupid they are compared to simply primitive, but in return they offer up people, oddly. Like, unless you're mistaken, some of them will just join and live with your tribe as seems to be a normal enough thing for them. At least by exchange, probably why they want to just take some of you home with them for a time, it might be a regular custom.
>>3467084if the adults think it's a good trade do it, but don't give all the food, bring some to the tribe, that way we can probably leave without trouble after trading right?
>>3467084Well, take some of them, trade and part ways, tell them we don't know how the thing came to life, we came to investigate just as them and found the food.
>>3467091>>3467111An agreed lie to them and what's deemed as a fair trade, yes would seem to allow things to end peacefully. And it wouldn't be you since they don't want to take children away, though you're half interested to see another side to the city apparently. But best to keep things straight for now.
>>3467121wait, I mean, we better not send any of our girls over, unless they want to go, but the idea was to give food in exchange for people from them
>>3467128Well that doesn't seem like a very fair trade, but if you want to keep all your people, sure.
>>3467150then do not trade people, just trade food for some trinkets they might have and leave peacefully
Do a tradeAsk about Robots, do they know of any friendly ones?>>3466357Vicky has Robot Arm.... Can we get extra Robot bits? Want to keep fleshy arms but extras good!Teeny tiny robots to help inside body?Living Medicine? Symbi Critters?
>>3467166>>3467150Yeah, the lie about us not having anything to do with the activation plus trading the food for whatever thay might have, be it weapons or other eletronics they don't know what it is will probably enough to generate some good will to get us out of here without a fight.
>>3467121If we convince them we have no relation to it they might not want to take anyone right? Just trade some stuff and get out. We have a party to throw to our close friends, maybe some wrestling and other games too after we drink the stuff we got.
>>3467167Well that is true, Vicky has a cyber arm so you could seek that out. As for the other things though, you may need to ask around if they actually exist first.>>3467091>>3467111>>3467080>>3467047>>3467026>93Some whispering to Kenna about your idea, and some interpretation between the adults both scavenger and tribal, and eventually an agreement is reached. The lie about not making use of the restaurant seems accepted and they are willing to leave things peacefully between the two groups for a trade. Basically half the food you had, for one of them, it's more like a toll than a fair trade but at least there's no bloodshed and you part amicably with them. Maybe if there's another encounter between the two sides again it won't be so uneasy next time? Worth the diplomacy goodwill perhaps. So after the tribals take their leave with their share of the food, your group can consolidate where you and Jess get a smack for leaving cover, but you definitely earned some respect for contributing to the negotiation. And talk about a strange return trip, as everyone piles into the metal carriage to hoist back to the other skyscraper across the gap, only now you're side by side with a tribal woman who's joined along with you all now."Heya, am Jess.""Alexa." you also cling to your dog as she fidgets in fear over the crossing, "Daisy.""Jays... Alessa... Na-ma." she pats herself on the chest as you make introductions. Up close you can see the various handmade trinkets strewn about her scraps of clothing (like a necklace with a little person on it) that probably have some meaning to her people, and the painted patterns on her body in red against her tanned skin. A young woman, you're curious as to how much of the city she's seen since like anyone of some years in the world these days, she bears some scars easy to tell for what patches of clothes she has."Know, um... some robot? Friend?""Ro... bot?"Maybe not. In any case the triumphant return home as the big metal basket is pulled into place back in the home tower and folks crowd around to see how the trip was and what you brought back. Even though there's only half as much food, it's still enough for everyone to share a little less of a portion and it's not like anyone can complain since there's so much more focus and interest on the newcomer as they gather around and examine or touch her, to her nervousness. The welcome is appreciated though, and people try to invite her to feel at home as they once did for you, and help her to understand some basic things that a tribal obviously wouldn't in a place that has some electricity still for example.
"No so trouble?" Kim is there to see how you're doing and how the outing was, also checking on her old partner Kenna. It would seem based on this outing of yours, would determine the likelihood of a greater foray to return home for you.>It's already night now, so you can spend the rest of the evening as you wish. Perhaps what you considered before, with the bottles you have?
>>3467262everything went fine, Jess and us went exploring a little, we definitely didn't fall from the roof, no sir, no fall was made.Ask Kim if we can leave tomorrow, and if not, how soon can we?Gather Jess and our close friends to share those bottles
>>3467258Go with the plan, we don't know if any of them will be able to come along, so it will be nice to spend some fun time, maybe try and see if we can do what the older girls do, that was embarrassing but they seemed to like it.
>>3467258Get a weapon, a knife or a bat, whatever we can.
>>3467258Question her about the little person, and ask the new women if she can fight, we can train with her some time.
>>3467279>>3467309>>3467323>>3467344Well you have a knife already but can probably get yourself a more substantial weapon if you need to. Also learn how to fight, possibly from Nama even although she's got too much attention about her currently for you to be able to talk to her about much. That seems to be reason enough for you to celebrate then, as Kim said they would be able to escort you home tomorrow even if you want or as soon as you wish otherwise. So why not celebrate tonight then? While most everyone appreciates a dinner bolstered by the to-go food brought back then, you can tell Jess your plan and together go around and gather some of your friends for a party of your own. She even has a good spot in mind, another maintenance space near the power room for the floor so before long you're in there with the bottles to show to the others and a few stories to tell about your outing today. Jess, Olivia, Maria, and two other girls in your age range can spend the evening having a party of your own and getting to appreciate some real drinks rather than window cleaner. Plenty of fun had for sure and both Jess and Olivia agree that these funtime drinks definitely taste better than those everyone else has normally. However you eventually start to become aware that the tipsier you get and develop a funny feeling through your body and even in your head, the girls seem to share no such effects, not even Olivia who drinks the most out of anyone while you play a storytelling game between yourselves and she keeps winning. At the going pace you probably won't retain good sense or clarity for long, but you can still enjoy yourself for the rest of the night anyway. Even if you're getting left behind in the way of coherence by the other girls and the other games played, even roughhousing. Probably end up passing out unless you had anything particular in mind. But a pleasant enough way to spend your last night here before going off on the return outing home.>What do you... try to do, as you get sloshed?
>>3467479Try not to get too sloshed, maybe see if Jess is willing to do the kissing a stuff the older girls do at her parties, its embarassing but with her it could be nice.Let's see if we can get Alexa some more confusing experiences.
>>3467479Tell them about our upcoming journey, to let mother know where we are.>>3467546Can't hurt to try, they seemed to like it and we'll be going away for some time.
>>3467479Do we know truth or dare? we should play thatset up some pillows to spend the night here if needed I think, or take some back with us to our room, it's more confortable there
>>3467479Save some for later if they don't drink it all.
>>3467596>>3467578>>3467567>>3467546Seeing how they don't seem at all affected by the drinking, you perhaps wisely figure you shouldn't consider it a contest or anything so withhold on tipping back any more. Maybe you won't get any worse then but you're already feeling pretty carefree, such that when you bring up a game you know about dares, they have a variation where one can also be truthful on their turn. But in your state, you're open to most anything for the sake of fun. Fortunately it's pretty tame, and apart from an initial dare stint of "show me yours show you mine" from their shared curiosity, it's some pretty even-handed fun between things shared and dares proven. You also inevitably get around to sharing and shedding a few tears about going away soon for some time, which you get a lot of sympathy and reassurance over, helping you to feel better about it and not worry so much considering your fears over something as fresh in your mind as the fall earlier today.---Invariably as it gets later into the night and the onset drowsiness from drinking a little too much, you must have dozed off because you find yourself awoken by Jess whom you had fallen asleep on at some point. She just wants to move you to the side where there's some old stolen cushions to play fight with but can serve as a makeshift bed. You notice Maria and the other girl are gone by now so it's just Olivia and her friend playing a game trying to land small things in the stacked empty bottles. And old Daisy is long since asleep against a wall, snoring even."Mmm ttthhhaank... looove Jessssss...""Oh! Love too!"While she helps over to lay down again, you're feeling so thankful for your friendship with her and everything she always does for you, that you lean on her and try to kiss her. Though kissing ins't an uncommon thing among people for greetings and friendliness... you recall some of the older girls, and how it seemed like it meant more than that to them, the way they were doing it. Jess is your best friend ever and you want her to know how much, more than just some normal friendliness. She's of course surprised by this, expecting to only help you to a better place to sleep but when she returns a friendly kiss and you make it more than that, she gets a little carried away too.And you can't even say it's the drinks going to your head this way, at least not entirely.
"Mhmmph... A-Alexa'm tired... m-may for to bed?"Olivia and her friend are too busy to notice you and Jess kissing quite profusely and deeply off to the side, mouths tangled together between sloppy breaths and holding, feeling one another among the cushions. The taste, the smell, the feel of one another like that, it's enjoyable enough but... there's something more to it. You'd thought it was just the older girls being extra friendly, but this makes you feel more than that. Different... funny inside, light in your stomach and tight in your chest. And excited, in your heart and... elsewhere. You know the feeling from play wrestling, but this is different. Not fun excitement but one of tension, anticipation in you for... something, for her. And what more, you're not the only one as you can tell, can sense she's feeling the same way as you both labor for breath and both confused why. As unsure of the feelings as you, she pulls back a little before the pent up... something, builds much more. She's right in saying you're tired and probably passes this curious bout of affection off as a result of that, and the drinks making you act funny. Though her nervous anticpiation is as much as yours, she offers to take you to your own actual bed, feeling responsible for your good night's sleep perhaps. Or perhaps, with these feelings as much as you, uncertain about letting things continue further.>What do you do?
>>3467775Let her take us there, let's go with her to our room, continue exploting this dince it's so nice, let's see where it takes us. There is better since the other two might notice us here
>>3467775We saw this before, the older girls moved to a separate room too, let's continue there, see how it goes
>>3467814>>3467832Well she's intending to put you to bed, not continue if you go elsewhere. Here she's kind of caught on the fence between continuing or stopping, if you get up and go then she'll feel too responsible for making sure you get a good night.>>3467775In any case this will probably be my last post of the night then, we'll continue here tomorrow around a similar time, seeing what the player agreement is by then.Till then, thanks all for playing! And in the meantime if you have any questions or things that don't seem clear or about the quest so far/prior threads, feel free to ask and I'll answer if I can.
>>3467836Well continue here then, this thing is new.thanks for running
>>3467775Explore these feelings. Especially the ones in places we haven’t been this excited before.
>>3467775Continue. With passion
Sure.... Get it on~
>>3467836" 'm Not tired, want this, like this and like you, do you want?"Trying broken speech
>>3468288Ah come on. We spend enough time with the doctor, and hardbody when he was alive, to have picked up some non grug cave speak.
Starting in a little bit here.
>>3467836You're a little tipsy, and you're expecting a busy day tomorrow, but you've enjoyed your time with Jess so much that you don't want to stop. She's moved to her knees and pulls at your hands to encourage you to bed, but you feel the same hesitation from her."No tired, no'm for this. Jess tired?"You remain laying down but squeeze her hands along with your words, to which she takes a breath to see Olivia and her friend still doing their own thing. Her nervous expression gives way to a stifled laugh as she drags the cushions with you to a more secluded spot in the maintenance room, and with a grin joins you again laying among them together, kissing and feeling one another all the more vigorously. "Mm-hmm... feel funny...""Mhm... feel good."Your shared passion is exhilarating, and although it's very awkward and clumsy for sure, it's all the two of you know so it certainly doesn't feel that way at the moment. Just doing what you want together and what feels right, you enjoy yourselves for a long while even after when eventually Olivia and her friend call back to let you know they're leaving them for the night, assuming the two of you just went to sleep in the back of the room. Jess nervously acknowledges her, after which you share a laugh together before getting back to it. An awkward, sweaty little mess of bodies together and certain of only what feels good. For as enjoyable as it is though, you can't keep at it forever and it's sure tiring for as fun as it is. As well, it's also somewhat frustrating as the shared anticipation and excitement inside feels like it's building up to something the longer you kiss and hug one another, but that tension simply remains pent up. Like a fun and exciting game that doesn't seem to have an ending and everyone just quits playing. It's a bit of a sour feeling because for as much as you love Jess and enjoy being together like this, you don't want such a special experience feeling like it's incomplete or unsatisfying for either of you let alone both. All the same, you can sense Jess has a similar feeling about it as well, but between the two of you you're unsure of what to make of it. Not like it's ruined of course, not by any stretch. Just a little bit of shared, unspoken frustration you both have, and for you it starts to feel even a little painful like an unpleasant tightness below for some reason which is both confusing and worrisome, though you assume it to be aftereffects from your fall earlier. Still, all just a drop in the bucket for how much you enjoy yourselves and bond over this close experience. Rather than frustrate yourselves further, you consider to just scale back a little and take it more easy. Not as much passion to it, as taking it nice an easy and cuddling intimately. Of course you'd like to see this frustration dealt with but unsure of how, maybe just settle back down.A nice chance to fall asleep together, if you felt like it.>...?
>>3470317If it's painful tell her where it is, maybe to make it better, ask if she feels something different somewhere too, maybe we can help each other. If it does not pass, or we don't find how to realieve it, just assume it's because we don't know enough, maybe those older girls from before can tell us what is missing.Kiss Jess and invite her to bed to sleep after we were able to relieve that pent up sensation or not.
>>3470317It's the underparts isn't it? Mess with those, we'll finally figure out where that thing comes from.
>>3470317Just follow our instincts and do what comes naturally. If the source of our tightness is the fact that our parts are different from hers, we should investigate it together with Jess. Take the lead and see what happens if we explore using our lower part in her lower part. All of our instincts are telling us to do this, we need to acknowledge it and do this or something bad might happen if we don’t.
>>3470317Our underparts are aching and throbbing. Hers are also hotter and we’re than they’ve ever been. The only way to cure these weird feelings we’re both experiencing is to stick ours in hers.
>>3470361Wetter not we’re. Worlds first ahegao in hundreds of years time for Jess pretty soon.
>>3470355>>3470344>>3470334>>3470361Dear oh dear, instincts? Just how far are you intending to go with all this?
>>3470385All the way. Mating press is instinct clearly.
>>3470385Tentative discovery together, go as long as we can feel that antecipation and pent up feeling released for us both
>>3470393>>3470396Well, then, make a roll I suppose. Not for the success or anything like that just the order of things so to speak.
>>3470385Go beyond 100%. PLUS ULTRA. The first natural born humans in forever. It’s what our instincts want. It’s what her instincts want.
>>3470385Let's gently make each other feel good I guess, go as long as we can and as far as it's comfortableI'd be amazed if we even figure out where to put it, I'm guesing they'll hand each other until they go off since they don't know shit about it

>>3470417As long as this is roll under. Otherwise we’re finishing up pretty quickly inside her. But no worries, we are young and energetic and will do this again when we wake up.
>>3470428pff, like a 13 year old will even last enough to get near any kind of inside kek
>>3470435Eh, the other people beforehand rolled almost average ish. Clearly we need to try this again as soon as we wake up and do a better job.
Rolled 51 (1d100)>>3470403Now rolling for the next morning to see if we do better for the second round.
>>3470453Slow down bro, let's see how things play out, tomorrow we'll go for an adventure.
>>3470469We’re a horny, adolescent male surrounded by chicks. Slowing down is not in our guys vocabulary. Plus, if we get the pastebin smut shit out of the way for a while, we can focus on exploring, training, learning and other shit.
>>3470425>>3470417>>3470415>>3470413>>3470412>>3470409>53As awkward and as unsure as you both were, you just did what felt nice and things kept above the clothes, hugging and kissing and not much more. You wouldn't mind figuring this out more, but maybe for the best just to leave it now."No tired, no'm for this. Alexa tired?"You figure to just go to bed then, as you confess about the slight pain feeling. To your surprise though she pokes a little fun at you mimicking your earlier response before feeling at your pants where you said. It seems she isn't going to let this frustration just pass by, especially if you're in discomfort and she takes charge, sitting up for you to see she's breathing fast and almost as red in the face as her hair. A few steps ahead of you in her mind it seems, she fumbles with her clothes before hesitating and going for yours instead, which you resist at first out of instinct but soon play along when you catch up to her thinking. Before long you've both gotten your clothes out of the way and sitting facing one another, figuring to try and understand these... feelings, with nothing to be in the way. Of course you're used to being together like this, but this time it's obviously different and while it strangely feels more awkward and... guilty than other times, there's also some enjoyment to it you both have as you look one another over and breathing heavy in nervous excitement."Chest... some?""You for too, other winter."Although she's only a year older, all things considered there's remarkably not that many differences between you, given all the beliefs and legends about humans coming in two different forms and assumptions about being as different as the mutants are. Well, apart from an obvious difference or two."You make up? Like... like that?" she holds a finger firm up to try and get an idea of the most obvious difference."Um... no, just only is. When is fun.""Can to feel?"You're still caught up in appreciating her like this but again she's steps ahead and now hands ahead. As she cautiously gets a feel for you, your whole form shudders and you stifle a yelp, such a strange and intense feeling. She almost stops thinking she did something wrong, but can tell enjoyment when she sees it, with a grin. It's a little unfair even, as you'd though to share an even exchange together but she's taking control again and the sensation is a bit much for you to really maintain focus on getting to feel her body or get a sense of her underparts.
"Feel funny... kinda squish hard like-""-AGH!"A return of that earlier pent up tension as the good sensation builds to her feeling you, and even more now that there's direct contact not some barrier with clothes and awkward snuggling. Enjoyable for you of course but her as well and seeing you like this, but you're the one feeling it, not her so an easy mistake for her to make over being too rough. With a grip, she ends up pushing down to hard, too far and it hurts you. Pretty bad in fact, and in a strange way for where it is and how it feels.Talk about mood killer then, as you're left utterly confused and even scared over what she did, while Jess apologizes profusely and tries to hold onto you for support. Your underpart was never like that, never went back. Such a sensitive and intense feeling, any of that prior enjoyment and tension is gone, replaced by worry and hope that this isn't an injury here of all places.>It seems you got a little carried away exploring your bodies together. You can, and probably should act as you wish, but intimacy is off the table for you for the time being...
>>3470605Lol I guess we can do mouth stuff. Ask her to kiss it to make it not hurt anymore.
>>3470605Assure her that we are ok, tell we try again some other time.Explore her if she is not scared or off the mood and then go to sleep snugled together
>>3470605Hah, she pulled the foreskin, kek.Tell her it was a nice thing and go to sleep with her.Let's not tell Joan anything about this, too embarassing
>>3470640>she pulled the foreskinHope she didn't rip it.
>>3470646We’ve been circumcised. Jess is a secret jewess
>>3470649>We’ve been circumcisedI won't believe it until the QM says so
>>3470622>>3470637>>3470640You can lie and tell her you're fine even though your concern is quite real. Either way it's soured things a little to say the least, so you probably won't be continuing any further. For tonight, for ever, who knows? You're not sure when you'll get another chance like this together, but your heart isn't in the same place and you'd prefer to settle things for now. Naturally feeling bad about it, Jess can only sympathize and is more than willing to accommodate you, as you figure to just call it a night. You can still snuggle together, after she takes care to lock the door then lest anyone stumble in on you, and it's a comfort to share that closeness again without the intensity or excitement to get carried away. But still there's an unspoken discomfort between you, as you cling together among the cushions and have your clothes as a makeshift blanket, that you hope will dissipate overnight.---Fortunately it's someone trying to get into the room, a jostling at the door which wakes you up so a good idea for Jess to remember that. You're not sure what time it is, but you feel decently rested. A little groggy from the drinking but not like you'd have trouble engaging in the day to come."Alexa feel ok? Sorry for, sorry..."Still feeling guilty about last night and apologizing, Jess helps to smooth things over between you as you lay together, kissing you some and hugging you close.>What do you do?
>>3470646I don't think she riped it, maybe just pulled enough unstuck(?) it. Usually it's stuck pulled up on children until you give a big jerk down
>>3470698Well, it doesn't hurt anymore so no worry.Kiss her some to dissipate any fear that we are mad at her and then grab some breakfast together, we can try again some other time, slower then
>>3470698Try again and then go get brekkie. We if we can’t capture those same feelings and emotions from the previous night
>>3470698Tell her not to be sorry, calm her down and let's both get dressed for the day.Invite her to come with us to find Kim and prepare for the trip.
>>3470698Try again. For humanity.
>>3470761>>3470731>>3470730>>3470720>>3470706Though you're feeling still pretty sensitive and weird where she'd got too much a grab of you, you can tell her it's alright and to try to put that awkwardness behind you. She might hope you won't hold onto it like a bad memory, and you don't plan on it so this will only remain unpleasant if she makes it so. You kiss her back and continue to snuggle for awhile more till both feeling better about the closeness between you, before figuring to get up and dressed for the day. You wouln't mind trying more intimacy with her later, but not for now, the discomfort still a little present. In any case things are a lot easier between you as you keep stealing glances at once another while getting dressed and sharing laughs, and feeling quite amicable as you go arm in arm to breakfast. Not that it's anything to be ashamed of, but you don't exactly want to telegraph to everyone your newfound closeness. However over breakfast despite your best efforts, you both find yourselves playfully engaging one another and being sweet together, which when among most everyone gathered doesn't go unnoticed. Nothing more than whispers and teasing for the time being though, and once finished eating, you can go for a walk for Daisy's sake, hand in hand with Jess around a less busy side of the communal floors of the skyscraper."Out for? Want to, yes? Ok is."Eventually you can locate Kim then and confirm indeed that you want to go and travel home, for which some of the community have been preparing for so it was only a matter of when you wanted to leave. Now that you do, she'll let the escorts know so they can gather, and you have the chance now to get everything ready whatever you may need. Naturally you're quite excited but you inevitably notice Jess trying not to let on that she's upset."What for is?""No to go..." she pouts, and hugs you with a kiss as a plea, "If to hurt? No come home? No see other!"If she was allowed to come with you, you're sure she wouldn't be so upset, so worried. But it's only natural for her to have such worry after how close you've gotten, that you're feeling the same in a lot of ways. If you were any closer, you might not even bother leaving to return home. But for mother's sake you have to, and you have to consider what you're bringing. Just... how to settle up with Jess for now, until next you see one another...>What do you do?
>>3470828Give her a present, our teddy bear, tell her we will be back to get it so she has to take good care and wait us.If she promises that she won't do any dangerous and get hurt we promise we will take care too.Take a picture of her to bring with us, and one of each of the robots in case we cross paths with someone that can fix them.Ask the adults if we can have a gun too, we know how to handle them.
>>3470828Well, can't she go? We wouldn't mind I think.This>>3470869 seems good.Remember to get our jammer and the downtown subway map too.
>>3470869ThisShare some sweet time while we can.We have an old radio, can they broadcast? We could listen on it.
>>3470869Sure. Good bye kiss though. With tongue. Leave her wanting more so that when we come back she attacks us.
>>3470933You do have a radio but it can't broadcast, no.>>3470901>>3470869>>3470947Of course you'd like for her to come with you but as Kim said, they're already having to mind one child so they won't be taking another, especially on an outing like this into potentially hostile territory. You can share the time remaining pleasantly together though, as she helps you pack your things and even gives you some of her own goods to take. You leave your bear with her as a keepsake in the meantime and a promise to return on, as well as taking a couple pictures together which inevitably gets interrupted when she tearfully throws her arms around you and prompts an unexpected makeout chance till there's knocking at your door to startle you. Olivia, Maria and some of the other girls you know, with gifts of their own for you to take and their hopes that you'll be fine and get what you're looking to accomplish. You have some last minute chores to handle like getting pictures of the damaged robots, and saying goodbye to Joan for now. Beyond that though, the elder Maria in passing mentions that they're waiting for you at the crossing so you hurry with what's left."Oh...""Heya Alexa, ready some?"Not just some adults escorting you but a whole group. Six women from the tribe including Kenna and Aliyah, plus Nama even who they think might be useful in navigating the farther buildings. Jess steals another kiss goodbye stealthily, but alongside, almost the entire community is there to see you off. Which makes sense since this is such a big undertaking with as many people. It seems with the intent to kill two birds with one stone as well, as many goods are being brought to trade with other peoples, if indeed you're going to be traveling far.Otherwise though, unless you had any last minute things to take care of, the metal carriage to cross the gap awaits your departure among the many cheers and hugs and goodbyes.>What do you do?
>>3470989Let's go!Ask for a gun before we go tho, like the ones they used on the invasion.
>>3470989Let's get goingTry to learn more about the tribal while we walk, how they lived and things they did.
>>3471012While they are armed, two guns in the group total, they aren't willing to give you one unfortunately. If not all the adults are getting one, then they aren't going to be able to spare you one.>>3471020>>3470989Very well then, this will probably be my last post of the night and it's a convenient place to stop I feel. One last thing then, go ahead and make a usual 1d100 roll for the undertaking of the journey then. And till next time, thanks all for playing! Will continue here around the usual time, if you have any questions till next feel free to ask.
Rolled 77 (1d100)>>3471108We find a gundam that only allows us to pilot it.
Rolled 59 (1d100)>>3471108
Rolled 61 (1d100)>>3471108How long they think it will take to get there?
Rolled 100 (1d100)>>3471108
>>3471558I guess we got our robots and lasers afterall. Lol
>>3471558Well as usual, with a 100 you can suggest something you feel might be appropriate for a miraculous sort of success chance, and we'll see how it plays out.
>>3472150Can other people suggest too or only the 100 anon?
>>3472153Anyone who rolled can suggest, or the players can work/contribute together on a suggestion. Though the rolling player has the weight, naturally.
>>3472150I'll leave some ideas and you can use whatever would make the most sense or you feel would be more interesting. Whatever you chose is fine.>Someone willing and able to repair our robots back home, maybe as an ex-member of the robot place.>a new robot that we can activate to follow us.>some kind of pre war stash or safe room with many tech goods and old word interesting stuff.>a technological marvel that we discover in secret so the adults can't take it from us: a new high tech weapon, a radar that let's us see people's position like a minimap, an arc gun, stealth suit or another cool tech gadget.>Mom (without a death squad with her.)>some high tech health suplements to improve our physique.>Someone to join us with a unique skill that she could teach us.Bonus: a frilly dress for Daisy.Just some ideas
>>3472239>some high tech health suplements to improve our physique.Like immediate improvements. Stronger, bigger, bigger dick. It’s gonna be harder to hide as a girl once we take this. Also start growing facial hair as well.
>>3472244yeah, we better not get those then, we need to keep hidden>>3472239I like anything tech related really
>>3472244Supporting this. It’s gonna be hilarious to see their reactions if we turn into a buff dude from SCIENCE GAINZ. Plus not getting hurt and dying so easily would also be nice.
>>3472244Yeah, let's broadcast our manliness to the whole world while we're at it.>>3472239>some kind of pre war stash or safe room with many tech goods and old word interesting stuff.
>>3472270I think I would not like that, what I had in mind when I proposed that was something to give us fast regen like the girls or improved reflexes, I would rather not change our appearence
>>3472328As long as it enhances our virility and manly strength long term I’m fine with it. If we’re gonna be the last man alive, gotta be the last Alpha Chad alive. Just not immediately, maybe once we’re older I suppose. So for short term, enhanced agility and virility, but the other effects will happen in time. Fair compromise?
>>3472239Some interesting suggestions, just keep in mind that the roll was for the journey, for travel. So equating it to treasure found is not exactly an apt comparison, it's more like the travel itself being exceptionally fortuitous. Though, potentially could stumble upon treasure that way, but you shouldn't necessarily think of it in that way.In any case, will be continuing in the next hour or so, about.
>>3472239Maybe not the most useful find but what if we found a university's time capsule, those sealed containers people put stuff inside to be opened generations later.>>3472344Hmmm, for the travel, maybe we can pass by a friendly trade caravan with some discount things? Or meet some other friendly tribe on the way that can offer us shelter and help.
>>3472368>maybe we can pass by a friendly trade caravan with some discount things? Or meet some other friendly tribe on the way that can offer us shelter and help.Yes, those are more in-tune with the kind of "roll for the journey" situation. Now you might find something special along the way, but it's more related to that travel itself rather than "Oh look, I fell into an old supply cache and look at this amazing treasure I got with a 100!"
Also slight change of plans just found out, kind of jinxing it since I know I just said, but probably a little later start than >>3472344 , probably more like yesterday's playtime.
>>3472378Make the 77 for our travel roll then the 100 for our bargaining/treasure roll?
>>3472378some other things. We cross a battle site, we can loot some nice stuff but maybe there are hostiles nearby? We reach an uninhabited security station, maybe we can explore for some things. We find a tribe that has access to some unique items and it's willing to trade
>>3472378Ok, so I guess we can come upon traders with tech stuff that we can actually afford or pass a complex or a site where we can explore and find good things, or even pass some people willing to join us that have some different skills.
>>3472435As long as my 77 is used to find them, and the 100 is used for the trading.
Ok back now, will be resuming in a bit.
Why don't we get a Robot that Repairs other Robots? We can fix our original 2 and try and learn from it!Also learn from Hardbody again!
>>3471558>>3471534>>3471137>>3471114>100With the wholesome farewells from everyone then, you and the escort group are soon on your way. Crossing over the gap in the metal carriage, it's still awhile before midday when you reach the other skyscraper. And better still, normally they would have to move carefully and wait at times to descend down through some stairwells through the clouds to the lower levels of the building. With you though the elevator can just be taken so within half an hour even of reaching the building, you're already down to the sub-levels. Technically in Downtown now, the others remain on alert as you navigate the service ways and you carry Daisy in your arms. "Know fore way home?""Mhmm, this'm way fore."Indeed you've already once traveled this same way, when you'd left your shelter and started exploring the outside world for yourself. You'd spent several days in the original building, then traveled this same route (in reverse now) to reach the building with the restaurant where you also spent several more days before Kim found you."Just only one for- aah!""Ay ay, back out of huh?"While following the same underground service way route between building sublevels, you keep to the emergency lit way but unexpectedly encounter a small group of people apparently living in this tunnel at present. Some disheveled Downtowners, their presence startles you and a little standoff ensues between the two sides. Normally you might expect to be able to pass by them, but as a whole group like this it's far too suspicious so Aliyah calls everyone to back off and withdraw. Another way will have to be found.---Carrying a couple lights to see the way, the group instead has to go by a darker path, eventually emerging into a massive tunnel which stretches farther than you can see. Nothing like the little service corridors, you think whole tribes of people could live in these tunnels, and yet the group seems very anxious herein and want to hurry. "No touch them line, see?"Kenna points out lengths of metal which run the length of the tunnel farther than you can see, apparently very dangerous that you see the others outright jumping over them. Once to the middle of the tunnel now, as some look back and forth, they try to figure out which way to go in relation to the direction you had been traveling in the service ways. There's a little arguing for both directions, which could take some minutes to resolve so you're free to act for a bit as you wish. Already down here, you'd dearly like to explore all you could if you didn't have to remain with the group.>What do you do?
>>3472809See if there's any doors nearby, use walking Daisy while they discuss as an excuse to go near them and maybe look inside.
>>3472809Try to break off and explore a little, on the direction we believe the shelter is,maybe see our downtown map to try and figure out which way to go
> See if there are any Terminals we can access on the Doors that may unlock for our hidden necklace thing.
Whew, bit of a long one here>>3472837>>3472847>>3472857>>3472923You do have your underground map which in theory should be the perfect item in this situation. However since you don't know any of the names of places, trying to find out where you are and in what direction is basically impossible. Assuming you were to figure it out though, indeed you would have a highly valuable resource to rely on.In any case while the others try and determine which way to go, you take the chance to walk Daisy and ever so innocently get farther and farther away from them till you can find a cutaway in the tunnel where some sort of circuit paneling is, as well as a door. On approach Daisy perks up, and soon starts growling. You can hear noise and movement from the other side though like some shuffling and banging, so it could be something interesting as you open the door with eager eyes."Aah!"Staggering back in fear at the sight of the brutish form of a mutant rummaging around, obviously it notices you as well and quickly attempts to get at you. Far too big to easily fit out of the door frame, it reaches for you with a long arm and huge hand and in the process smacks Daisy aside with a yelp as it claws at the ground. Clamoring to your feet and going to pick up your dog, you try and bolt back to the others but you can hear the anguish of the mutant as it strains and tries to push its body and contort what it can to fit through the doorway. Even with that headstart, once the monster frees itself it is easily able to catch up to you with its oversized form and length four-limbed gait. Back down the tunnel the others have noticed by now but what can they do? To fire at the monster would risk hitting you, and it's not like they can repel a mutant with melee weapons, though still they wait for you to reach them before retreating. And Nama in fact, takes the initiative as she rushes towards and past the monster, trying to get around and maybe lure it away. To little effect though as it simply barrels to the side and smashes her against the tunnel wall with a scream. "Yo folks, one side!"You don't want to leave Nama of course but Aliyah is intent on just picking you up and carrying you off with them in retreat. Before any of you can make any distance though, you hear a call from the dim light ahead, a low figure stand up from what had just looked like some trash or rubble on the tunnel floor and now running towards and even past you all. Straight for the mutant, the figure approaches to about twenty feet or so and holds up a painfully high-pitched whining and rapidly flashing light which quickly slows the mutant's charge and even distresses it enough to stumble back. Only enough to keep it at bay though as it staggers away visibly distraught, but at a certain distance away it merely waits to approach.
"Get for Nama?""To go! Monster!""Heya, what for...?"A couple of the adults have already just fled onwards, and Aliyah nervously considers it but you and some want to try and help Nama, while Kenna wants to help the newcomer. It's hard to communicate though between the sound and flashing of the light even at a distance away, occasional exclamations from the mutant, and nonstop barking from Daisy.>What do you do?
>>3472947Urge them to help the newcomer, bring her around and try to get her to our side
>>3472947Can we push the mutant using the melee or ranged weapons into the eletric rail so we can save Nama?
>>3472960>>3472956There's probably not much you can personally do to the mutant since it's too large and strong to yield much to a few people shooting at it or hitting with melee weapons. However the newcomer has already repelled the mutant back far enough past Nama where you can go and retrieve her. So struggling free of Aliyah's grip, you rush back towards the stranger who becomes aware of your approach and in turn moves towards the mutant to try and repel it back further with the strobe. You're able to reach Nama, a bloody mess but still alive, as the others follow soon behind you. A hard sight for you to try and deal with as in clearly a lot of pain, a few helping hands lift Nama off the ground and carry her back the way everyone is retreating. Aliyah is last, to drag you along by the hand while the newcomer takes notice and begins pacing backwards after you all with the mutant following but always keeping that distance."Is... robot?""Who you is?""Ay, I ain't doin ya no harm if that's what ya mean. I's just pushin my cart to the next station when you's all come bustin in. I thinks to myself, ay, why not check em out an see what they's up to? Only sneaked up case you's out fa trouble."Eventually you all can catch up to the original few adults who fled, and found another entry into the tunnel to join them there. Once the newcomer joins you, you can tell... she? Sounds like a she, is a robot though wearing clothes strangely, and makes an effort to slam the door and brace against it. The mutant is clearly heard on the other side and wants to get in, but can't break it down or seem to operate the handle. You hope the robot can keep it out, but everyone is more focused on Nama who's in a bad way. Efforts made to check what's wrong and stop any bleeding, patch up the worst injuries. The sentiment seems to be that she'll survive, as far as they can tell and she'll heal eventually, but for the time being and awhile still she's going to suffer pretty badly for as bad as the mutant smashed against her into the wall.Holding back tears yourself of course, and a sick feeling in your stomach over the sight and memory of when you first reached her, it's a bit much to deal with as you hold Daisy so close she whines in pain. But, at least you're not in immediate danger anymore...>What do you do?
>>3472960Seems like a good idea.
>>3473037Ask the robot what's doing here and where is she going, tell her that we have a friend called hardbody that is very hurt right now.
>>3473037Try to help Nama with our first aid, its time to be tough Alexa.Ask the one who saved us if she could come with to the shelter.
>>3473037Thank the robot, ask her name and if she is alone or has a tribe.
>>3473051>>3473038>>3473067>>3473079First priority is Nama, as you try not to get in the way but offer what help you can with some of the goods you have. It's not like the others don't have medical goods of their own, and one of Joan's daughters is with the group in case medical knowledge or attention was needed. But more to work with is never a bad thing, and eventually Nama can at least be given something to drink which puts her out while her body recovers from the grievous injury.Time besides to wait then, since once things are gotten under control better, you get a spanking from Aliyah who shares an anger with the others for you wandering off and starting this mess in the first place. They're all going out of their way to escort you home, but you're going to try and break free of their protection and get into trouble? The equivalent of a time out, you and Daisy end up sitting by the door and by the robot as she continues to bar it against possible entry by the mutant. "You... live'm this all? Other too?""Down here? Nah way kid, I's just movin between stations. Gotta watch the train times. On my own tho, yeah. All da time lookin fa make up parts, gotta keep on tickin ya know? Eh, prolly not. Don't got no time fa neighborly things tho, so I's keeps to myself."What a strange way the robot has of talking. It's not like Joan or Hardbody, with a proper grasp of the language and big words. This one speaks rough and simple kind of like most people do, but in an entirely different way. Like she understands the language as well as Joan, but talks her own way like it's easier. In any case, she definitely comes off as more of a "person" than other robots you've seen, were it not for her obviously robotic body. "Alexa. Daisy." you pat yourself and your dog, "You to... nay-ber-lee for us all, may for with us more?""Suzy, nice ta meet'cha kid. Listen tho, I's got my own problems. Why's I outta help ya and drop my usual? Even supposin ya friend is down and out."She refers of course to Hardbody who you show her a picture of. Ironically she's apparently a same sort of robot so makes it sound like she could easily fix it. But doesn't seem interested anyway, at least not for the reasons you give. She helped out since you all just happened by, and she'll take you to the next "stop" but after that she seems intent on going her own way again. Unless you can convince her otherwise...>What do you do?
>>3473136a trade then, it's only fair, like we did before.what could we do to help her out, what does she want and what is she searching for, maybe we can trade
>>3473136Tell her that there are mountain of eletronics there and she could find many parts to keep ticking, we even found thisMake a demontration of the jammer by disappearing and appearing again. There's also a restaurant nearby with other robots.
>>3473136What's her own problems? Can we help?
>>3473170>>3473165>>3473146Maybe she doesn't need to give up her problems to help you, if you can help each other? She seems doubtful of your ability to assist, as it seems her ongoing concern is to find replacements parts to maintain herself and continue to function. As far as you can tell, you think that means, like new body parts to make up for the old since machines can't heal themselves.Certainly the jammer is enough for her to take you seriously though, proof that you're not just some know-nothing tribals. And the promise of plenty of "eelec-tronics" is an appealing one. Having to live on her own is the benefit of freedom and not having to act as a servant to humans as most robots do these days, but it comes at the cost of having to always be on the move scavenging for new parts. She'll accept your deal then, but lets you know that if she doesn't find what she's looking for from what your people have then she'll take it from Hardbody and you can kiss goodbye to it being restored to working condition if that ends up happening.Of course, not that you're in any position to say or promise anything for the scavengers when you're just living with them rather than a representative member. But if it means getting the robot to come with you, sure you'll tell it what it wants to hear.Given this then, it's just a matter of moving on. The adults want to spend the night here then if the mutant remains outside, to give Nama a chance to recover, by which tomorrow they'll make a decision based on her condition then. If you all are to stay then you've got plenty of time cooped up in here to do as you please. Suzy wants to get her cart though that she'd been pushing all the way here, before noticing and sneaking up on you all. And a couple, Kenna included, want to try foraging from here to see what can be found and explored if you'll all be spending the night here. So some decisions to make on where you side on this...>What do you do?
>>3473219Go with Kenna and look around, if tge adults won't let us, try to go with Suzy.
>>3473238>>3473250Very well then, this will probably be my last post of the night, till next time, thanks all for playing! Will continue here, and try around the usual time, if you have any questions till next feel free to ask.
>>3473219Will both be done?Going for the cart means gping back to the mutant?I wouldn't mind helping with both, we can help Kenna explore while we wait for the mutant to loose interest and leave and the get the cart as soon as it goes away.
>>3473456They can be if you like, help one then the other. Make a roll if you wish to see how you fare on that matter. As well just to let know, I'm grabbing dinner right now and will resume things when I get back.

>>3474321>>3474339>>3474345>>3474356>>3474465>63If you're going to be spending the night here, then you don't want to just sit around doing nothing. The easiest thing first of all is to help Suzy, and though the mutant remains on the other side of the door, eventually a low rumbling intensifies to which the mutant sounds to quickly flee from. Not long after and the whole place starts shaking and it sounds like some huge machine running in the tunnel, before the sound and shaking leaves you all behind. Such a scary thing you've never experienced before, you find yourself clinging to Joan out of fear but quickly let go embarrassed and seek to help the robot. Along with someone to watch you then, the three of you with Suzy enter the tunnel again and travel a ways down where there's a metal basket with wheels waiting in another side cutaway. The robot grabs the handles and then pushes it bouncing along the ground all the way back to the service entry you're all currently waiting in. You notice the cart full of various things, various machine parts so it's probably important to her to have but you can understand why she chose to hide it behind when she heard people approaching. After that though she takes guard by the door again and probably will all night, so eventually after everyone's eaten and Kenna wants to go foraging around you offer to help. Aliyah and some others are opposed, but Kenna whispers for you to sneak off after awhile and come to find her. Once attentions are elsewhere then, you manage to crawl away and soon find her ready to go out looking. "For how is you home?""No so, only um... two mountain? From."While you and Kenna traipse through the serviceways then, she wonders how much farther it will be given Nama's condition, but thankfully as you recall it's actually not that far. You wouldn't have lasted long on your own outside the shelter, if it wasn't the case. Eventually together you descend a little ways down a ladder and find a sub-level which once had some purpose long ago but now is largely flooded. Nasty to you seeing that icky water, but Kenna gladly drops down to drink thirstily which grosses you out and obviously makes you worried for her sake."Hmm? No bad, all drink for?"Maybe like the colored drinks? Women don't have to worry about such contaminated water to drink but men do? No wonder they all died again. You'd like to continue to poke around down here though while she's busy with that and filling up containers for the water, but as you find a looted old electrical room, you feel an arm wrap around your mouth and get grabbed! Dropping your flashlight in the struggle, some woman wrestles with you to try and sneakily drag you away from Kenna currently busy."Shh little girl, don't scared. No safe down here.">What do you do?
>>3474535Welp, if it's not safe we bave to warn Kenna, tell her so.If she doesn't warn Kenna we call out to her.
>>3474535Run and grab Kenna, take her out of the water, if it's not safe it's probably because of something in there, ready our knife to stab anything that rears it's ugly head
>>3474548>>3474557Your first thoughts are of what danger this person could be speaking of, and you struggle against her to break free and warn Kenna. Something bad about the water, there must be! As you eventually break loose though and go to yell for her, the woman who grabbed you pushes past and makes a dash to shove. Poor Kenna is sent headfirst into the flooded portion as she flails about wildly trying to grab onto something. The woman grabs ahold of you once more as you stare in fear after Kenna, and when nothing happens to her apart from struggling not to drown, you think maybe you considered the threat from the wrong place. Your first instinct is to rush to and try to help Kenna in the water or better yet find something to hold out for her to grab, since you can't swim either. But while you can slip free of this stranger's grasp, it's unlikely that you'll be able to perform some effort such as helping Kenna out of the water, while the stranger will attempt to pull you away or hold you down."Leave to! Have save her!""No girl, leave her. Come with." she assures you nicely, but firmly, "Trish! Where at?! Trish! Some others!" she follows by calling out for someone, likely for help.>What do you do?
>>3474599what the fuck. I thought we rolled a 100 to avoid this kind of thing. but everywhere we go people try to abduct us even though they don't know we're male
>>3474626Suzy was the 100.
>>3474628Or to be clear, the encounter en-route chance. >>3474321 deciding to then go searching however, and getting a 63, is separate of any 100 rolled for safe travel.
>>3474599Stab her and grab something to throw to Kenna, take out our drone and throw our bag to her since it would float, what the fuck is happening here?why would they want a little girl
>>3474640Stab her somewhere nasty, she doesn't expect it, somewhere like the neck or the mouth so she can't call for help, then we try to help Kenna.
>>3474646>>3474640You're not stronger than an adult, but that doesn't mean you're helpless. With the woman simply trying to restrain you from getting away, she isn't aware of something like a knife you may have on you. In some desperation you pull your knife out and haphazardly stab back at her."Augh! You fuckind-!"With a cry of pain she recoils from you, partly in disbelief as she feels at where you stabbed her. Seeing blood on her hands, she's angry but you're shocked as you try to stammer an apology without meaning much to. It's only when she tries to grab for you again that you push forward and cut her hand some but more importantly manage to shove her into the water as well. It seems she can swim a little better after she breaks the surface and starts splashing around, but there's enough time for you to reach out an old pipe for her to grab onto and help her out of the water."Th-Thank Alexa!""Aah, other!"Trish, you would assume, you come to notice now in your hope to escape together as you see another stranger struggling and failing to try and shut the doorway out of here. Too old damaged from flooding over the years, she fretfully tries and fails to lock you down here. Of course you'd like to just flee, but Kenna gives a look to the one you stabbed trying to climb out of the water and makes a quick consideration."M-Maybe... have stuff? If live down here... or go?"Well you did go out foraging together, that's one possible way of getting goods. But are you willing to fight more for it? You'd stabbed the woman because she was trying to kidnap you, but can you do worse for supplies?>What do you do?
>>3474710Can Trish reasonably lock us here? Or is the door helplesly stuck?
>>3474710Get out of here with Kenna, call out tonthe others, maybe we can catch these fucker with their help.
>>3474721She might be able to eventually, it's not like it's not budging. But you doubt she would be able to shut you in here in a way that you couldn't get out with a similar effort.
>>3474734Then help Kenna get the girl out of the water and loot her, thrraten her so Trish will stop with the door and bring them to the others
>>3474710Fuck Trish up,let Kenna engagr and maybe stabe her one or two times to give our friend and edge if she needs it, beat her up, we can beat the other girl after she gets out of the water.
>>3474752This is good, attack her, but still call out for the others of we are close.
>>3474776>>3474752>>3474741You're too far from where everyone else is to be able to get their help without leaving this area to go get them. At least immediately though, you feel the need to handle things together with Kenna, perhaps your safety depends on it. With a nervous yell then to try and cover your fear, you rush for Trish as she fights with the door ahead of Kenna even. Wide-eyed at your approach, the other gives up with the door at the last moments and tries to fumble for a weapon of her own but you close the gap and make a charge for her. Knocking the two of you to the floor, you wrestle with the young woman who's similarly trying to hurt you but when you actually cut her she quickly drops a pipe cudgel and simply tries to raise her arms to protect herself. Seeing the same combat fear in her that you have in yourself, you can't help but freeze up until Kenna catches up to pull you off Trish and take over.---"You show. Trouble if no."The fight isn't over when you take down Trish, her partner managed to get out of the water still. But Kenna was able to handle the rest and with your help restrained the two hostiles. Not a pleasant business but with the two prisoners you manage to find where they were living down here and what few goods they have. Of course they're hopeful you'll be merciful and not take everything they have, just an overhead room with some old carpets for beds and a small cache of food and scavenged valuables. Kenna though will probably take the food and leave them here to shut that same old door behind on them, but your input may change her choice on what to do with these two captives and the goods they've collected.>What do you do?
>>3474800Why live here? Maybe come with? We have good place and food, no need to be trouble.Ultimately leave it to Kenna tho, if she objects too much to bring them to the others at least do not take all the food so they can live.
>>3474800bring them to the others along with the stuff, interrogate them there, maybe Suzy knows what's up
>>3474800Bring them with us.
>>3474816>>3474868>>3474834Well you don't take everything they have but you can take a good amount of the food they have so you don't cut into your own supplies further. As well, while pilfering through their valuables you find some old device which Trish admits they use to know when a "tunnel roller" is coming, the machine of the size to be carried in one hand seems to measure when the ground shakes. With a little convincing though Kenna is fine to bring the two back to the others, having you carry the goods while she minds the prisoners. Obviously a bit of tension when you first show up with some strangers, but Kenna can explain what happened and from there the situation can be dealt with. And while you're not allowed among the group to talk with the prisoners, you can listen in. For the most part it seems they're just some of many who live down in these remote parts of Downtown. It's harder living for sure, but not everyone can handle living with more people in more populated areas and all the problems as well as benefits that brings."Nah I don't know em kid. Jussa couple a tunnel rats, nothin new to me."Out of curiosity you want to know what Suzy thinks but she doesn't seem to care much. The way she lives, coming across small groups or lone survivors among the passages and tunnels underground, is a common enough thing when she's scavenging for replacement parts. You probably just wandered into their home and they saw the opportunity to exploit some strangers. She expects that if you had been caught, they'd probably just take you under their wing and have you do things for them while surviving here. Well, tables are reversed now and your group is deciding what to do with them.Kenna recalls your request of bringing them along, so you do hear Trish expressing acceptance of coming with you all if the alternative is bad. The other stranger though, called Juana, doesn't want to leave her home expressing some attachment over the difficulty of finding such an abundance of water. In any case the group talks it over and will decide by morning. For now there's a general sentiment of a busy day so the desire to turn in for the... well, possibly night, you can't tell down here. But you can take care of any remaining business you have, if you want to get some sleep, after which everyone will be up and ready to continue the journey again after a long rest.>What do you do?
>>3474882Well, if Juana want's to stay she is welome to, Trish can come, she probably was abducted like the other one tried to do to us.Walk Daisy and get some sleep, stay near Suzy just in case the prisioners try something
>>3474882Talk with Trish before sleeping.Say we are sorry for the stab but we were afraid and ask her how did she end up here and where did she come fromHow old does she look like? Much older than us?
>>3474882Show our downrown map to Suzy so she can show us where we are on it, that way we'll probably be able to use it for navigation.
>>3474896>>3474910>>3474943A walk for Daisy then in some of the corridors around here, before returning to the little makeshift camp with everyone else. The one stranger you're not too keen on after the trouble caused, but the other you wouldn't mind talking to. You've been having some guilt and feelings of anxiety over the attack that took place, to be able to talk to the person you attacked... would make you feel better."Is Trish?""Yep. Is Alexa?""Mhmm... sorry hurt fore, scare for.""Hm, not so hurt much." with a nervous smile she shows you her hands which aren't bleeding anymore and probably will be healed up by tomorrow. You get to talking uneasily in any case, and want to know about her. A young woman, probably only just an adult so several years older, she looks pretty scraggly and skittish from survival in these tunnels, especially when another rumbling comes by and everything starts to shake. It seems she came to live here after running away from the place she'd been living before with a friend, when the leader in charge tried to take advantage of them in a relationship. She wandered these tunnels for a time before finding Juana who was willing to share her living place, though unfortunately her friend moved on elsewhere. Partly to maybe find her friend again, partly from hard living down here she's open to coming with you. All in all, seems like an ok person just in a bit of rough living."Oooh-ey! That a real of the subway? Somethin special ya got there, what'cha want fa it?"Before you get to sleep, you pick a spot near Suzy and have the idea of showing her the map booklet to see if she can make any sense of it. In fact it turns out she can, so that was a good idea to consider. She can sort of explain and show you where you are though the names of these places confuses you, but it's something to go off of to start with. Rather though, she wouldn't mind trading you for it, whatever she can offer since it would benefit her greatly. Something about a chance to double check with the maps "in her head" or something like that.---"...cloudy cloudy cloudy! If you's on the seaside, look out fa the worst today! But whe-hen iddn't it cloudy in the big city?!""Hrmm... wh-whuh? What is?"With the frequent rumblings now and then it's not easy to get a good night's rest, but you try to sleep as much as you can. The smell of food though, and some chatter on the radio wakes you up eventually as you see the others also getting up for the day. They're having something to eat, and interestingly Trish brings you some food over to share; no sign of Juana but this other captive has been untied and assumedly trusted for now, so it seems Trish is coming with you. Suzy isn't eating of course but has her own radio blaring the talking of someone.
"No way, you's from Uptown and tellin me you ain't heard Roxie afore? She's the only good thing on anymore, ya missin out kid."By the sound of things, there's some person on the radio who... has a "show" where she talks all day and plays music for people all around the city for anyone to listen to who wants to. You'd only thought radios were for a difficult type of communication, or sometimes you could get some sort of channel which played things but seemingly not for the listener's sake. Also by the sound of things though, it sounds pretty obvious where Suzy heard and learned to speak from as Roxy sounds basically the same at least in terms of language.>"Morning", underground at least, before setting out again. Anything particular before you continue along with everyone?
>>3475022Let's not ask about the other girl, how's Nama?Let's get going and go to our shelter.
>>3475022Let's keep going.>red speechIs Roxy a muttie?
>>3475059Red in this case is supposed to be transmitted voice, so over the radio. Would have used green but that might be confusing with Suzy.>>3475048>>3475059Thankfully and to your relief, Nama is actually conscious, and even somewhat active. She's still not fully recovered, but sitting up and responsive, eating on her own. You can get a lot of weight off your shoulders by apologizing to her for the trouble caused but she doesn't seem to mind and did it to protect a fellow member of the group. In any case then, after a breakfast together and packing things up to go, Nama is conveniently put in Suzy's cart and she can lead the way. For what it's worth, on the way out of the serviceway, you get a hug and a kiss from Trish who knows that you're the main reason she's alive now after being taken prisoner. Or at least she believes that, and asks if there's anything she can do to make it up to you, for you to think on that.---"One side, one side!""Eyo some Uptownies? Some good for all?"The rest of the way to the "stop" isn't too difficult to follow after Suzy, though once you get there it's more than you bargained for or could have imagined. A big place itself underground with the main tunnels passing through, but with an elevated area it's like a giant open room down here enough for a big tribe of people to live comfortably, and plenty of smaller rooms, halls and doors branching off from the main area. And a fair few people, which is a bit overwhelming to have come from the long and empty near-darkness of the tunnel to a decently lit and populated area. "Welcome welcome folks, this here's Eight-Six, closest stop ta... well, where we's met. It ain't far, where we's goin but a couple here can't hurt."Definitely more like what you had imagined Downtown to be like, what mother had told you stories and such about; separate inhabited locations like little beacons of "civilization" between expanses of darkness and danger of old tunnels and building sub-levels. Kind of a mirror to Uptown but instead of the skyscrapers and clouds, it's (mostly) stations and tunnels. Though obviously traveling around down here is actually possible compared to travel through the clouds."Hiya girl! What's you name?""Uptown girl? Nice doggie!"While the group follows Suzy (who's familiar with this stop) and tries to find a place in the station to the side to settle down for the moment after the morning spent traveling, there's various Downtowner locals who approach. Curiosity, interest, desire to trade or even an effort to show a strong front as a few gang members approach to make sure you all know who's in charge and know the rules. Just because you're all from Uptown doesn't mean you get a free pass after all, though with so many of you and Suzy besides, they can't act the usual and extort a toll or something as they normally might.
In your case particular though, a few girls around your age and younger single you out and want to get to know you and invite you aside while the adults hammer out a rough understanding. Of course you recognize how dangerous this place could be, but at the same time how interesting it also is, and you've never seen a place like this before. Whether or not with these kids, you wouldn't mind a chance to explore some even if it's asking for trouble.>What do you do?
>>3475105Play and listen to them but let's not go far from the adults, at least not now, we remember tha spanking from last time.Ask the girls for good things to trade and impress the shit out of them with our drone.
>>3475105Protect Daisy, we know she gets agitated with new people, ask the girls if they have good things to trade and play a little with them, but take care of our things, its too many people.
>>3475105Ask Trish what she knows and what we should look out for since she's a semi-local.
Starting in just a bit now.
>>3475618>>3475341>>3475154>>3475138You always prefer spending time with kids your age rather than hang around excluded by adults. These are strangers all the same though like anyone else, so before you go running off with them you ask Trish what she knows since she's from around here."Mmm... not to leave here stop, see other way? And to careful people try sneaky steal from."There's probably about fifty people milling about the station, give or take, coming and going. Like it's purpose indicates, you can see other people like your own group arriving or leaving through the tunnels now and then to similar welcome, to stop by here en route somewhere else or for some business here. With so many strangers, Trish warns against leaving the main area like going up any stairs, down any side corridors and basically keep in sight of others. She also warns though against people trying to sneak up and steal from you and since you've never dealt with pickpockets before you'll have to be on alert. Otherwise though, how much trouble can you get up to with some kids staying around the main area?---"Wow so! They let you have?""I can try some?"Fortunately the girls seem nice enough, and after a little teasing at first for being an outsider (and an Uptowner at that) as well as some trouble with Daisy biting a girl, you manage to get along with them well enough. Their curiosity about where you come from outshines their prejudice, and when you carefully show them some of your things any misgivings fall by the wayside. Your drone in particular, clever to think of showing them because it absolutely amazes them where you soon become the center of attention to even a couple amused adults, as the device buzzes around the station in the air with some kids trying to chase it and Daisy jumping around and barking. "Ooh, come Alexa! Tunnel roller!"You can even carefully let a couple of the other girls try to fly the drone for a little bit with your supervision, which greatly nets you favor and makes you wonder how rare functioning electronic devices might be outside of the tower you're calling home now. The attention over you is quickly diverted though when you feel that familiar shake and people all around the station start to perk up and jump to attention. The girls start to rush near to the tunnel way alongside many adults, and some want to take you along with them. Daisy though is terrified of the rumbling as you try to recall the drone and pick her up for her sake, but it's not much good when you yourself also become frightened."Aagh! Monster?! What is?!"
Tunnel roller, tunnel crawler, some different names for it among the folks here but some sort of horn sounds down the tunnel as a light emerges, soon to be followed by some massive hulking creature of grinding metal that almost takes up the size of the tunnel and quickly slows to a stop in the station. Such a noise and scary sight that you take to cowering with Daisy behind someone's little setup home of bedding and boxes. As you watch though, no one else is afraid and in fact seem delighted and even desperate at the sight. Looking the way of the adults of your group, they too seem bewildered except Kenna and Joan, and of course Suzy and Trish.Still a couple of the girls straggling behind everyone else call you to join them by the huge beast, but do you want to go? Your interest, overshadowed or not by your fear...>What do you do?
>>3476657approach to observe, but don't get too close, what the fuck is that thing?worriedly look for one of our adults to ease your fears
>>3476657Ask Suzy or Trish what it is and what it's purpose
>>3476657Can we use it, along with the map to reach our destiny? Maybe a little too risky, but the transport system with our map can be very useful for the tribe.
Little delay, this took a bit to write out properly>>3476671>>3476683>>3476691Your own adults as you saw are mostly just as frightened as you are, so there's no comfort there. Mustering your courage then after being bidden by the local girls, you try to approach and get a better look, a better idea but Daisy is far too frightened to approach and fidgets more than you can control her. So you have to at least return to the adults if you want to leave your dog with them first."Trish, what is?""Tunnel runner!""...Suzy, what is?""It's a train kid, this's a subway after all. The Transit Master uses it fa movin stuff around, how ya think folks get food down here? Well it's all fa the Empress anyway..."As far as you can tell then, and get glimpses of, the massive monster appears to be some machine in fact which travels through the tunnels of the underway from station to station through the city. Which would explain the frequent rumblings. According to Suzy, some person or thing uses the vehicle to transport goods around. Leaving Daisy for the moment and your bag, you approach the small crowd to get a better look, and between all the shoving and yelling you can catch glimpses; a lit interior of the train as it's packed to the brim with boxes and goods (seen through the windows on the outside), as a few uniformed people try and hand out some of these boxes mostly containing food and some similarly uniformed robots keep order by batting away people who get too close or too rowdy. It's quite overwhelming to be caught up in all that commotion and for such a strange new sight, but trying your best not to get lost in the frenzy, your mind can't help but race with possibilities. The map book for example, now you can better understand it's purpose and why it could be so useful if this vehicle can get around following the map lines. Seeing how people react to it, knowing where it can and will be seems like a significant benefit. And what if you could travel on it? You could maybe get home to your shelter in no time sure, seeing how fast the vehicle moves, but what if you could get anywhere in the city? The Red Cross for example, you could find out what happened to mother yourself rather than waiting and hoping she'll return. Why you could even-"-ah ah! Hey!"Obviously distracted, you don't notice until it's too late, a snap around your neck as your necklace is yanked from you! Some girl older by a few years, with quick hands snatched it and is trying to flee through the crowd! Your first instinct is to go after her, but could you get your necklace from her even if you can catch her, on your own?>What do you do?
>>3476774Yell for the adults, go after the older girl, it's mother's!
>>3476774Call Suzy or Kenna since we saved her to hell us. Time to shank another bitch, go after her.
>>3476795+1How does it look like?
>>3476821>>3476795>>3476784You try your hardest to yell and be heard, so that those of your group can help you. After all, it's probably your most important possession since mother's biggest rule was to never take it off and indeed you never have! But for all the commotion going on with the train, it seems you aren't heard or even seen that well for your size."Suzy! Kenna! Some ta- ugh!"Still trying to break free of the crowd and call for help, you have to choke back your words after a sudden coughing fit. Taking some deep breaths, you right yourself and try to move past anyone but... whew, is it hard to see all of a sudden. Blurry? Rubbing your eyes, you don't remember your hands being red."Bl- *hagh* -ood? Suzy! *hagh* K-Kenn..."More coughing as you break free of the ground, but collapse to the ground out of breath, your chest heaving as you cough more and more intensely now. Red pooling on the ground before you as blood starts to flow freely from your mouth and nose, and even your eyes. "H-Hep... Hep mmmhhh..."The last thing you can see is the station floor in crimson and puddling past your hands, the ceiling and lights reflected before you. You'd panic as your vision fades entirely, if you could muster the air and the strength to do so... ...so sleepy.---"...wish other Joan was here, I only can help.""May for to take home, no to she'm close die."It's that same rumbling which stirs you to consciousness, though Daisy curled beside you really restores your sense of awareness. You struggle to open your eyes but find only darkness, panicking a bit till you notice some wet cloth has been draped across your eyes. You'd pull it off but the lights are too bright for comfort so you leave it for now, just squinting enough to see that you're in one of those makeshift bedding areas with some stacked boxes and a pole or two to hang some clothes over, kind of like a tent. "Heya, she moving!"The sound of one of the local kids watching you, as the adults become aware and rush to you, but Joan shoves them back as to not crowd you."Alexa! Alexa... can hear me? You was sick, try not move much. Am check how you do better. Can hear me? Need any some?"A bit much to have Joan gripping your arms after only just waking up, but naturally she's worried. Weakly, but with a great comfort, you can feel your necklace around your neck once more. But are you well enough to be up? A drink would be nice, but maybe you could ask for something else too...>What do you do?
>>3476889We have the necklace again?Ask what happened, how did they get it and what happened to us.Shit, if we take it out we die? Damn.
>>3476889Take some waterWhat happened? Where are we?Check our body to see if everything is ok and if we can continue.I assume they got the girl, how long were we without the necklace and what happened during it?
>>3476905>>3476917Feeling up to move? Make a roll, see how you're doing, while you have something to drink.
Rolled 37 (1d100)>>3476951Roll 1, dead
Rolled 38 (1d100)>>3476951
Rolled 45 (1d100)>>3476951
>>3476967>>3476965>>3476954>45You're feeling pretty under the weather, but functional. Enough to sit up, and move if you had to. Thanking Joan for the drink, it's only natural that you'd be both concerned and worried about what happened. You can ask though but see the uncertainty in her eyes, as she doesn't know herself nor does anyone, exactly what happened. As far as anyone knows you collapsed and started bleeding from getting sick, which caused a scene in the station. Obviously your group rushed to help you out and set up this little makeshift tent for you with help from the locals, as it's how most of them live here. Within a minute or so of this whole fiasco though, some girl approached with your necklace apparently not expecting you to start dying after she stole from you, and guiltily returning it. She got a smacking for her trouble but otherwise they cared more about you than visiting any further punishment on her.Though, it doesn't seem that anyone thinks or believes that your necklace had anything to do with it all. They merely put it back on you, and believe you saw out the worst of the sickness by that time, though to be fair you did stop getting worse once the necklace was back on you it seems. Again, as no one is sure what happened they just assume you had a bout of sickness and are now recovering on your own, but it has been many hours since and you've been sleeping the whole time while they tried to figure out what to do. A relief for sure then that you're awake now, as they were having to consider something drastic."Maybe sleep some, feel gooder before you'm go round? Then to home maybe."The group has just been waiting around and keeping an eye on you, in the meantime getting used to staying in the station and interacting with the people. Even some trading here and there, and of course the occasional train coming and going. Joan speaks of returning home though, you assume she means the skyscraper."Home? No to mine?""Ahmm... while you sleep, we talked for others. Only other mountain to here, some other leave from... run away. Last moon the R-Mee attack, looking for some and make all to leave. Even kill some, and who stay. Other here, say none other left there. Maybe no safe?"A bit disappoint to hear for sure, but you can't really blame her. Part of the reason it seems there's so many people here in this station is it's the nearest to the skyscraper that was attacked, and the same your shelter is in. Refugees here ever since the attack, and some say too dangerous to return. Of course that doesn't stop you wanting to return to your shelter, letting mother know about you is the most important thing of all. But you can understand those of the group not wanting to go now if this R-Mee could be there, they sound very dangerous.
Thankfully Joan suggests that they aren't certain about calling it quits and returning home, but there's a lot of worry among them, that you may have to try to convince or hope for the best that they stay the course.>What do you do?
>>3477042We can go carefully, use the drone to see how things are and if its too dangerous we go back but if it's ok we continue
>>3477042Ask her who are these R-MeeMaybe we can wait until tomorrow so we can sleep until then and then go thereDo this>>3477060 and see how the situation is, maybe ask Suzy for help too.Oh, and show our necklace to Suzy too, see if she knows what it is.
>>3477042These guys are looking for us, if we leave a message there they'll know where we are.
>>3477090maybewe'll need to make the message not something giving the location then, maybe a meeting point
>>3477101>>3477090>>3477073>>3477060That's fine then, would you like to rest for a day or so then till you feel better? If so, anything particular in the meantime, apart from a few of the things you already said to do here.
>>3477110See if there is any weapons to trade, laser or otherwise, we might need it.Look for a present to Jess?
>>3477120This, get a weapon.
>>3477120Present would be easy you think, but something like a rare weapon is far beyond your means as you have nothing of value to offer, and it's unlikely the group would trade such a high amount for something just for one person.
>>3477130How about a regular gun? Just in case someone grabs us?Maybe a taser or even peper spray to stun would be useful too.
>>3477137>>3477130And for the present it can be anything we find nice, a bracelet, a necklace, a hairclip or some other trinket she can wear.I would say to get a new game or eletronic but they are probably very expensive here.
>>3477130Do this guys accept our money or we will have to trade for the goods the adults brought?Anyway, support this>>3477137 if we canMaybe a stun baton
>>3477137>>3477148>>3477163As far as you can tell they don't accept money down here, though perhaps the train might, but it doesn't appear like something which is present for trading. In any case, a mundane gun is still a rare and valuable thing as you know from how few your tribe has. However it could at least be possible with the goods the adults have for trading. You can make a roll if you like on whether or not a valuable weapon is come across. Otherwise you may need to wait till something good possibly passes through here.
Rolled 7 (1d100)>>3477168
Rolled 59 (1d100)>>3477168
>>3477168Well, if we can't find it get just the present then, rest and we go there tomorrow
Rolled 80 (1d100)>>3477168
>>3477185>>3477178>>3477177>80It's probably for the best then to stay and rest another day or so till you're in better health, like with Nama after her injury although you wouldn't expect to recover as quickly as her or anyone else for that matter. Of course it's hard to tell days or nights down here, but it sounds like Suzy isn't the only one who listens to Roxy on the radio and she frequently gives out the time of day so it's a pretty valuable resource to go on.While you're going to be resting here then and the other adults take shifts on staying with you and exploring around as they like, you can spend time with them. Joan first because she's here with you now."R-Mee? What is?""Mmm... is some group people who has weapons and vehicles and stuff.""Vee-hickles?""Machines, is like the train. They has is all them from before the big war, do the fighting for people. Now'm do things sometime others, sometime no sure. But all have guns, bombs, armor, more. Big trouble."Well now going just seems like a bad idea. However you do have use of your drone and Suzy to help, so if nothing else there's the chance to check beforehand, if the coast is clear then you can be quick about returning to the shelter.Awhile still with Joan first then as she keeps checking on you like her mother would, doing her best to see that you're alright and thankfully getting better. At one point you even get watched over by Trish who is happy to sit beside you and hold your hand while listening to stories of what Uptown is like. It's Suzy though that you're the most interested in."Round yer neck? Look like a data drive. Means it's got somethin on it can computers read. Got someone's name on it too, Alexander? Ah right, ya can't read that code there can ya?"You ask Suzy about the necklace which she explains and you do your best to understand. Sort of like the account on your phone, there's some information inside that the machines in the world respond to. Though, you've never had anything react to your necklace and you always thought it was just some gift from mother, least of all having some name on it in some machine secret language."Hmm, and tr... trayne, for? Can to go?""Ride on the trains? Nah kid. Well ya could, but only fa good nuff reason ta the operator, or the big..." she rubs her robot fingers together in a gesture that is lost on you, "...I'm talkin big trade. More than we's got together. Y'aint hidin anything special in ya bag, is ya?"Well nice to know it's possible to go on the train... or trains, more than one? And Suzy is certain you could get most anywhere in the city, but it would take more than you could manage probably, if all the people in the station couldn't get on. Or could they? You passed out before you could see anything like that. But what are the chances you've got more value than everyone else in the station?---
>>3477292---A pleasant rest of the night, a good sleep, and welcome breakfast of food gotten off a stopping train by (ironically enough) the girl who stole the necklace from you. Some peace offering maybe, she guiltily offers a box of the food for you specifically in hopes of you getting better, before being shooed away by the adults. You're feeling better in any case, enough to walk as is Nama for what it's worth. After a surprisingly decent packed breakfast shared with Daisy, you take the rest of the morning to explore around a little to make up for the missed chance yesterday, before the group plans to depart after the next stopping train. During this time you're able to get a souvenir present for Jess, a necklace appropriately enough and made out of colored small tiles from the surfaces of this station. You also happen by a trader making a stop with some strange animal called a "horz", and in particular a weapon catches your eye out of the various goods. A sort of telescopic, extending baton one might think but it's purpose is to deliver a blow when the telescoping rod extends and retracts. With adjustable intensity, at the lowest setting it can break a window or even someone's bone, at the highest setting it can punch through metal or clean through a person. Apparently before the big war it was used to knock the locks off doors, but now it makes for a nasty weapon. It's not a gun of course but at close range it can serve the same basic role. So after much pleading you are able to convince the adults to trade for it, though that's most of the goods that were brought for it. The fact that it can be reused though and just takes a charge like a device, is an undeniable benefit. They'll even let you figure out how to use it too as long as you promise not to hurt yourself. At least till it's time to go, when they're all packing up.>Departing the station then, any last things you want to do or merely head out with the group?
We know what the othrs think, that it was just a bout of sickness (spontaneous bleeding, something to be shrugged off like that am i right?), but what does alexa think happened. It's from mother, who told us to never take it off and the moment it was taken from us something bad happens. Better be careful
>>3477363Well, what *does* Alexa think happened? Your guess is as good as his. All he knows, the he keeled over bleeding and nearly died seemingly after the necklace was removed. Then according to the others, showed signs of not getting worse after the necklace was brought back, and has since recovered. Whole lot of coincidences to say the least. In any case, this will probably be my last post of the night, till next time, thanks all for playing! Will continue here, and try around the usual time, if you have any questions till next feel free to ask.
>>3477294Forgive the thieving girl and let's move on.
>>3477294You guys forgot something very important, a frily dress for Daisy, they should have something they consider baby clothes or some other thing she can use. I'm sure it'll be cute and annoy her to no end.Now we have to disguise the necklace, to make it look less valuable, maybe wrap some old cloth in it or something else.
>>3477363We can test it when we are back home with Joan senior, see if the no necklace theory checks out>>3477391Do these people have a computer here so we can try and plug our necklace? if they don't I guess we can try to do it back home in one of their machines or tablets
>>3477587>>3477454>>3477431There's probably some old computers around here but is that something you want to get into now? In some strange place when you're about to leave. Some dog clothes you can try and find though. In any case for the final leg of the journey, make a roll for the travel!

>>3478224>>3478026>>3477973>>3477959>82You can forgive the thief then, not much harm no foul. And before you leave the station, obtain a pink baby hoodie for Daisy to wear, which she visibly hates and refuses to move around in so you just carry her.For the rest of the way though to the skyscraper your shelter is in, the trip is thankfully without trouble. With Suzy's help you navigate the tunnels and encounter people here and there but pass by peacefully, at at some point you start to find corridors you're familiar with till eventually you're inside the sub-levels of the building. Where indeed there's a few people gathered as refugees essentially, camped out and recovering from wounds or looking for loved ones, all warning about the attacking force in the building above and when they arrived some time ago. "Well I ain't tanglin wit the army, this can't be that important kid."There's some discussion among the group about what to do, since your shelter isn't actually all that far, just in a higher sub-level a few floors up. Thankfully you have your drone to send, with which you can watch through your phone the camera feed. Finding a stairwell up then, the little device buzzes off as you navigate the place as best you can. And sure enough you can find the way to your shelter, the only problem is that there does appear to two armed people on the route to get there that you would need to encounter. And from what you've seen of everyone fleeing this place, they're the sort to shoot first and ask questions later.A shame because you've come all the way here and the shelter is only just a little further above...>What do you do?
>>3478685follow them but wait for them to leave before going in, no need to confront them, observe them from a distance
>>3478692Support, maybe get the girls ready to run, but let's just wait them out.
>>3478700>>3478692They're just camped out watching the hallway, not a patrol as far as you can tell. They reacted to the drone flying by and chased after it but immediately returned to the same place when you flew it out of the area. You can try to wait though if you like, maybe eventually they'll leave.
>>3478711Let's set up an ambush, but only if Suzy can help us, we offer first pick on the loot.We bait them again with the drone and jump them from a corner
>>3478711wait for them to sleep and jump them, if it's just one on watch it should be easier
>>3478719This seems better, make sure to approach and take down the sentry silently, they probably have walkies to call for more people. But still offer a share of the loot to Suzy for help, we've seen what robots are capable, her help would be very useful
>>3478715>>3478719>>3478722If you like you can make a roll for the attempt, or just hope you can manage as you all are. Though already beforehand, you can wait all you like, but as you notice from periodically checking down the corridor at the guards, they just get replaced by two others after a certain amount of time.
Rolled 63 (1d100)>>3478734let's try the ambush then, with a new pair of guards
Rolled 88 (1d100)>>3478734There's no way to go around them?Well, ask for Suzy to ambush the two of them while our two armed one give her support if we can't just avoid.
Rolled 43 (1d100)>>3478734Bait and ambush them
>>3478734make sure our necklace is hiddenif we get any of them alive we should ask them why they are here
>>3478747There's two posted at the corridor from the stairwell to the rest of the floor. If you had to guess, it would probably be the case at other stairwells you could find.In any case Suzy will help but she could use some convincing beyond just promising loot. As is, she isn't entirely opposed to helping but she would actually rather the adults make the attack first and she'll follow up when the soldiers have to reload their guns, since as she (and you) knows people can recover from gunshots besides those to the head whereas if she gets shot it could damage her severely.Well not that a human wouldn't be severely wounded, but in theory could recover.
>>3478780well, think if there is anything else in the shelter we could offer her for convincing.tell her about the uptown place Vicky knows where it is and that the tribe(not we specifically) can open a path to it and she would be welcome to go with usbut we could use her skill on the engagement, to prevent the loss of any of ours
>>3478780Well, if possible we should get them before they can shoot. We can lend Suzy our new baton so she can get the drop on them if she doesn't have a gun to shoot them.
>>3478747>>3478765>>3478739>88With a little convincing and offering her the new weapon then, you are able to get Suzy to participate in the effort. No one is keen about it, but if it's just two soldiers and you hurry up about it before any others come then they'll help with this. Naturally though, you're bidden to remain behind with Joan, neither of you considered combatants. You have a distraction to run anyway, as everyone gets ready into place and you buzz the drone towards the guards again. These ones this time just shoot it down however, but Kenna ahead of everyone glimpses past the doorway till one of the guards approaches the downed drone, before she rushes for the attack!A lot of screaming and shooting you can hear as you wait with Joan, till eventually you hear from the others."J... J-Joan... come fast!"The two of you hurry upstairs then, ahead of some of the refugee folks investigating the sounds of combat from above. A bit of a shock, and disturbing to see everyone so injured and bloody, that you can't help feel guilty about this. Should you have even considered risking people getting killed just to leave a message for mother or something? Kenna is laying in a pool of her own blood being seen to by Nama who has a combat knife lodged in her side, and a damaged Suzy has to hold the two (similarly wounded) soldiers because everyone else is badly injured and hardly capable of action."I real hope this's worth it kid."From what Aliyah struggles to say between choking blood from a shot to the chest, the attack wasn't unnoticed as one of the soldiers could be heard calling for help in her helmet. So chances are you have to hurry or else other soldiers will arrive and there's no way you could deal with even one more let alone several. Fortunately the shelter isn't far, so leaving Daisy with Joan who has her work cut out for her with everyone wounded, you can reach the shelter and hopefully be out in just a couple of minutes at the most.Depending on what sort of message or sign you want to leave for mother, that is. Though the more you think about it, how would she even see it if she possibly would have to get past any soldiers? Impossible on her own you'd think.>What do you do?
>>3478834Just leave a message saying that we are ok, and that we will try to find her here or in the station, at least so she knows we are alive. We need to get the hell out of here, these soldiers are fucking beasts
>>3478834Fucking hell, this was too dificult, I don't want anyone dying over it, if we have anything that can help Joan at the shelter grab it.Is there any secret stash on the shelter? A place only mother and us would know? Leave her a message there saying that we will listen to a specic radio frequence and she can tell us if she is ok and back.I'm afraid of leaving any clues since these girls are tough as fuck
>>3478834Get the wounded out of here, later we can interrogate the enemy to see what they were doing her, tell.mother to wait at the station, we can give a discription to the adults and tell them to look for her when they come here for trade.
>>3478858>>3478849>>3478844You do know of one particular spot, where mother kept the weapons as to be out of reach of you. Behind the bathroom mirror, there's actually a hidden room. Rushing through the sub-level then, past the remains of many parked vehicles, you're able to find the entrance to the hallways that lead you back home again. The closer you get, your heart is racing and as improbable as it is, you half-hope half-expect to just burst through the door and find mother there waiting for you."-Ma!"Nothing though, and instead the sight makes you want to cry. What had been your home, a shelter from the world, completely ransacked and looted. You'd half hoped to be able to search the medicine cabinet for things to take back to Joan but there doesn't look to be anything of any value left here. Only leftovers of trash and ripped up mattresses, discarded objects and scattered clothes remain. Thankfully, a wave of relief washes over your heart as you find the panel behind the (smashed) bathroom mirror hasn't been disturbed, and climbing on the sink and shouldering in the right place you can knock it loose. Crawling through, you scramble through your bag for something to write with and leave a message on the floor with duct tape, about seeking out the Eight-Six station and to wait there and listen to a certain frequency. Taking one last look around then at the only room not disturbed, although itself sparse from your taking everything you needed when you left home, you shed some tears for it all and everything else going on with your life....others. The others need me.Wiping your face on your sleeve, you take a deep breath before clamoring to your feet again and back through the secret hole. You stick the panel back in place before making a break back the way you came, along the way hearing the buzzing of drones and approaching boots, yelling. "Come come! Alexa!"You can reach that same corridor to the stairwell, trying not to feel sick as you do your best to step over all the blood, and rush for Joan who has Daisy in her arms and ready for the two of you to flee.Though you're not out of danger yet."Offa' me ya rats! Somebody help me here!"Down the stairwell and back in the basement refugee camp, the occupants are aware by now of what took place, and seeing the two soldiers Suzy had they're angrily trying to subdue them and likely enact vengeance for grievances the soldiers caused them prior. You can see Nama considering whether to just start attacking people, but you hardly have time to properly sort things out with drones fast behind and soldiers to follow.>What do you do?
Rolled 70 (1d100)> Shut up big nasties! Be shush or we break ur heds! Peace be am us then yu live.... Yus lots hurt many! Bee luky u gets nice from us!> loot them, take prisoner and leave.
Rolled 71 (1d100)>>3478949some shots up may clear themrush out of there quick, if the adults can't take the prisoners, a bullet to the head will do
>>3479040>loot themYou mean the refugees?
Rolled 84 (1d100)>>3478949The soldiers are comming, RUN!That may create a scramble and get everyone free, if not, attack one or two just to get the others off.
>>3479040>>3479058>>3479096>84Well in a bit of a panic you can try screaming at the small crowd as you run down the stairs ahead of Joan, prompting a few people who heard you to take flight as well. The army drones quick behind though do the rest of the job as everyone panics, and values their own lives over those of two soldiers. So you can make your retreat behind Suzy as she drags the two soldiers kicking and screaming till the whole group is assembled, pushing and shoving among other people escaping till you make it to the main subway tunnels again. Retreating back to the station seems like the best bet of course, however those among the group most severely injured can't keep a good pace, and worse still the army drones just remain hovering around you all high in the air. Zipping this way and that, they seem to just be keeping an eye on you all for the reinforcing soldiers to find you all."G-Go all... mmh here for, keep others."Kenna being the most badly injured and fighting for her life already, speaks to stay behind and with a gun perhaps try to stall the enemies from pursuing. You don't want to abandon her but she and some of the others are slowing you all down and are bound to get caught. Then again though, you question how much good she can really do against trained soldiers and what use it is when the drones are just going to keep following and keep surveillance you all.>What do you do?
>>3478949Force our way through, throw some food after we pass to create a commotion and slow down the persuers
>>3479127There's no need to leave her there, shoot the drones like they didnwith ours, and then try to lose the persuers
>>3479132this but let Suzy shoot, we've seen how's the precision of the police bots, hardbody hit everyone's foot without a sweat so Suzy can probably down those dronesafter that, we make haste for the station or look for an alternative place on our map to shake them off
>>3479132Support.Priority is to get rid of the drones and find somewhere to escape and recover.
>>3479152>>3479142>>3479132>>3479129With some quick thinking, you decide to go for the drones. Or rather let Suzy do it, so asking someone to give her a gun, she delivers a staggering blow to each of the soldiers that they're downed long enough for her to take some shots at the drones without them running away. Sure enough, while she doesn't seem to do much damage to the reinforced things, the soldiers must not be willing to risk losing them so the things buzz off. After that, well it's a frantic dash of trying to reach the station through the tunnel, occasionally taking maintenance way detours when it sounds like the soldiers are catching up. It sure takes some time to be extra careful but eventually Nama scouting ahead, returns to let you all know that the station is fairly close now. You think to rush straight there, but Aliyah brings up a valid concern to the group about how wise it may be dragging in two soldiers to a public area. The army is a significant force in the city so how likely is it that anyone could just try and sell you all out to them on your location, or worse people gather against you to free the two soldiers and take you all prisoner instead for a reward?Paranoid thinking perhaps and you'd rather just return to a place that feels more safe. But worth considering? Some of the group seems to agree, while Suzy prefers to find a place to hide and hopefully camp out till everyone is more recovered at least, before going among any other people. All you know is, should you seek some refuge out here in the service ways, if the soldiers were then to find you there'd be no hope or chance of winning.>What do you do?
>>3479178Tell one of the adults to ask what the soldiers were looking for, interrogate them a little, after that the adults can do whatever they want with them and we keep going, we can pass off as refugees, with all our wounds and such, but do not stay long, we have to keep going, maybe camp at old Trish house.
>>3479178Leave the prisioneres, bound gag and hide them, strip them of everything, especially their radio, we can hear where they are going and avoid them, keep going until it's safe to rest.
>>3479207>>3479188Choices choices! Do you want to bother anything to do with them, or leave them robbed and keep moving?
>>3479210I guess we can ask some questions while we strip them, the main thing is to get their radios. If the adults decide to kill them instead of just leaving them just walk away so we won't see it.
>>3479210ask them what they wanted at the building
>>3479217Getting their radios is a good idea, and either stashing or......making them go....sounds good to let us escape as refugees.>>3479220This question is good too.
>>3479220>>3479217>>3479232Obviously you aren't going to be asking the questions, but you can listen in when the soldiers are interrogated and stripped. The first thing you notice is that they speak properly, like Joan. They sound pretty scared and confused though and unprepared for all this, which probably makes sense for just some basic guards. The main question of your interest though is their purpose, which they only have a basic understanding of but it seems their forces are present at the building looking for some young girl. They even had some identification details at their watch post just in case the girl showed up and they could tell who.Well whatever that could mean, there's a couple other questions for them about their equipment (including some "medipens" which apparently are very valuable) but otherwise they're stripped down to their underwear and tied up. None of the group were killed although very nearly, so a little vengeance is wanted. The two soldiers are tied up and left on the rails for the train, if they try hard enough they can break free together or the other soldiers will find them, but it's enough time for you all to get away."Kenna, Trish, two the worst, have them."Joan uses the medipens on the two most injured in a manner that looks like stabbing them with the things, but apparently it will help them heal better and faster, and for sure if nothing else it seems to stir them to action like a rush of adrenaline that they can walk on their own.---Returning to the same station not so long after, there's some people there who are bound to recognize you. However, without the soldiers you don't have to pose as refugees anyway, people just assume you're returning to the station and must have gotten into a nasty fight for most of you to be wounded and damaged. Only natural then for some folks to crowd around and offer to help, alongside Joan who sees to those among you worst off. With some makeshift bedding like those spread around the station and what you had slept in after your "sickness", it seems you'll be spending the night or longer here till the group is in a better shape to move again and at least reach Trish's home. As guilty as you feel for all this though, it is a weight off your shoulders now that the message was left for mother. And you yourself didn't suffer in the fight, so you suppose you have time to occupy yourself while the group rests here. As long as you watch your necklace, you should be fine.Speaking of, after only an hour of being back here again, the same thief notices your return and makes another peace offering and wonders if you're doing better. >Anything to do then, for the rest of the day here?
>>3479250ask her name, why did he steal and if she doesn't have anyone else, maybe we found another stray to come with uslet's stay near the exit just in case the soldiers come here and we have to leave quicklywhile we are here, take a look at our drone and asses the damage, see what we'll need to fix it back home
>>3479250We could try and find a computer to see the necklace, but it would have to be near, I don't want to go away from the group.>>3479253If the girl stays here and doesn't come with us we can ask her to tell whoever comes asking for our group that we went a different way than we really did, that would help a lot if anyone tries to hurt us, and she obviously doesn't want us hurt.
>>3479253>>3479260Very well then you can manage this. In any case, this will probably be my last post of the night, till next time, thanks all for playing! Also I realize the thread is in autosage now, and I have a final in a few days so we will probably go at a slower rate when we do play. I'll post beforehand to let know but probably don't expect the same everyday schedule here for awhile.
>>3479250Try to maks this quick, as soon as the others are feeling well we should move out. Look for something to cover our hair and features, they were looking for a young girl and last time we heard that it was us.
>>3479250Is there anything else interesting to pick up? Maybe have a look with Suzy, there's probably things these people don't know how to use and may trade for cheap.
>>3479291are we playing today or it will be another day?good luck with that final
>>3479490We might get a few posts in later, sure.
>>3479253>>3479260>>3479401>>3479411>>3479490Hopefully your time here will be quick, but it all depends on how fast those injured can recover. Which considering they fought with some soldiers and got shot, it's a miracle that anyone is recovering at all, let alone that no one got shot in the head and died outright. There's no helping if a few of the adults need to rest or else their condition will worsen, and that they can't travel well at long distances. Really you should be thankful to them all for risking your lives on what was just a personal matter, and it goes to show how much value they place in you, that they would do this to keep you happy and cooperative.Well, if you are going to stay here..."Alexa. Daisy. Name is?""...Aranza. Something bad all happened?"You can sit and look your drone over with Daisy at your side, while the thief girl lingers in case you or your group perhaps need any help. She looks almost adult age so it's not like she's helpless or can't take care of herself, but she doesn't have anyone else here for her. Like the other refugees from the same building as your shelter, she wound up here after the soldiers showed up and attacked people till they left. Ever since she's been dwelling in this station, getting by but it's tough. You suppose you could ask her along with you all, another able body could be good. Though how many mouths can be supported back home in the tower? At least down here it seems like the trains support people enough to survive, in Uptown you all have to strive constantly to survive. Well in any case it's something to consider, as you finish checking over your drone. It's in pretty bad shape and you think you'll need Mia's help to repair it, far too damaged for you to manage though at least you've learned enough skill to be able to tell what's wrong with it.---A couple hours later of sitting around with everyone and helping where you can, you feel a chance to get up and move around would be good. Asking Suzy with you then, you could go exploring around a little, feeling more safe checking about the station with a robot on your side. Plus she's pretty damaged herself after the fight so maybe you could find some parts for her?"So's I gotta ask kid, what's ya deal? Why's them all chicks palling around with a kid and doin what ya says?"While checking out some of the other areas of the station, checking up the old stairs and down some side halls, Suzy gets around to asking more about you. She did just risk herself for your sake, on a task she doesn't even fully know the details of. Probably only right, for her to notice something is up and want to know.>What do you do? Also you can roll if you like, maybe possibly finding anything of note. Pretty low chance though, you can tell people have dwelled here a long time and likely picked apart most everything.
>>3481180Tell her they do what we s because we got some important things for them, but the real truth is only for members of the tribe, maybe when she comes with us back home we can tell more about.

She doesn't appreciate being lied to, or not told the whole truth and you can tell that she knows given how she reacts seemingly dissatisfied. But already she's accepted to helping you so she'll just have to wait and see. In any case you search the interior of the station, doing your best to avoid people's personal quarters. There's nothing particularly useful found, at least not for her, but you are able to find a dusty old book full of print and writings. Though, in a strange pattern layout, like a bunch of ordered boxes and numbers and text within."Ey, it's a timetable.""...what for?""Says when the trains make stops round. I'd bet my hand they still folla the same times."Well you're not a Downtowner but you're sure that would be mighty useful to someone who lived down here and knew how to use it. It was complete gibberish to you without Suzy to look it over so no wonder it was just discarded by people who live here. Like your map of the subway, sure someone could really benefit from having it. But just in case you could ever need it, you take this book just in case too.Muttering under her robotic proverbial breath all the way back to your temporary camp them, you can see several of the group are settling in for the "night", taking cue from other folks around the station doing the same. Not everyone around is going to sleep and it's not exactly easy with the occasional trains and the lights always on, but folks do their best to get some rest as according to the radio and Roxy the host so often listened to. There's some bedding for you if you want it, but it's not like you have to go to sleep. For what it's worth, Trish and Joan are staying up for awhile among the group, before someone takes over the watch.>...?

>>3481312Tell Trish to tell us her story so we can sleep. Get some rest.
>>3481312Can we ask thief girl to show us how she sneaked on us, maybe train a little with her, then we can sleep.
>>3481328>>3481332>>3481340After she got the jump on you, you're half curious as to how she managed it. Well it wasn't some amazing feat of targeting you in a crowd of people when you weren't expecting it, but maybe she can show you a thing or two? You spend a little while with Aranza then for her to try and teach you what she knows, particularly about pickpocketing and lifting things off people without them noticing. It's not like you can pick up that much, but you can quickly see how it could be a fantastically useful skill in certain circumstances, and all the more are you interested in bringing her along on the return home if for no other reason than to properly learn from her. Already your martial skill learning has been entirely oriented around escaping and slipping free of grapples for when grown women so often grab ahold of you being a child. Something that happens as often as it does, imagine if you could also steal things from them too?Otherwise, you ask Trish to tell you a little more about her situation as something to fall asleep to, which she doesn't mind and even lets you rest your head on her lap while she strokes your hair and goes into greater detail about how she ended up with Juana. How the tribe she had been in was another station gang and they had a policy of supporting people to get extra lives in order of deserving, kind of a contrast to the tribe you're calling your own where it's based on personal achievement. Because of the way things were done in Trish's tribe though it led to people being quite indebted to the leaders and so when her mother succumbed to mutation trying to have another extra life, Trish herself took on the debt with no one to look out for her. No one else but a friend left, when things became abusive for them she fled with her friend and would eventually end up dwelling in the serviceways. A hard life, but better than an abused one, she thinks...~~~Ugh... why are your hands covered in blood? The sound of barking.Where's Daisy? The hustle and bustle of people in the station, but they're all grievously wounded even though they don't seem to mind. You cover your eyes in fear, the sight of people all shot up and soaked in red.The sound of barking is all you have to go on.>...?

You have to uncover your eyes at that but fortunately there isn't anyone down here.Just crowded along the edge of the station platform, shoulder shoulder and all looking down at you.As the blood from their wounds runs down to the track floor and starts to puddle up and flood along.Worse still, a horn and then a light.A train is coming! But you hear the barking closer than ever now.You look behind you and see a group of soldiers, laughing and kicking an immobilized Daisy on the tracks farther down. She whines and screams at the beating but can't defend herself against adults, she's just an old dog.Barking for help, you want to go and save her but will you risk getting hit by the train?>...?
>>3481594FUCKING RISK IT! STOP KICKING MY DOG! STAB THEM!
>>3481664>>3481624In a furious panic you rush to the barking.Hand on a knife you're ready to engage and do whatever it takes.Kick, bite, punch, stab, slash.A relentless assault among the rising tide of blood. All so you can get to Daisy, as you pick her little broken body up.Whimpering, you cradle her close as the horn and light approach, and the train overtakes you and the soldiers.~~~"AAH!""Agh! Is ok?"You jolt awake with clenched fists, sitting up in a panic that is shared with Trish who must have fallen asleep as well. Frightfully you look around, adjusting to the realization of what's going on till you notice Daisy snoring by your feet, too deaf to hear you wake up yelling. With Trish's hands on your shoulders, she tries to help you ease up, as you lay back down for a bit and she says it's alright. Of course you feign tiredness, asking for a minute before you get up fully. Really though you just want to hide your tears as you bring your arm up to for your face for a bit. Once again, Aranza brings a peace offering of one of the boxes of food from the train, signalling the start of a new day as you hear some others of the group already up and the usual small crowd of people gathered around the stationary train that must have only recently arrived.>Setting out then? Anything left to do here before you leave? Or just depart. If and when you leave, feel free to make a roll for the return leg of the journey.

>>3481783>>3481779>>3481751>>3481826>92The triumphant return! Getting up then and having something to eat, you can see everyone is doing a... little better than yesterday. Not fully healed by a long shot, but able to move around without help meanwhile you're sure if you got shot even once you'd probably be dead. With no near-death scares left then, the group is in agreement to hurry out of here as soon as you've all had something to eat and can pack up. They'll even take Aranza's help if you plead with them enough, just for her able body to be able to help carry things and thus less load on anyone hurt. While eating though, you notice the usual commotion of the station go quiet or at least quieter, as the group gradually becomes aware of one of the train workers off the train with a robot to protect them and observing from a distance. Hopefully it isn't trouble, but she speaks up behind a filter mask after lifting up a pair of electronic goggles she was watching you all through."Them are milspec-""The weapons." the robot interjects, likely sensing confusion."Yeah, the guns. Them are army guns? Where'd you get?"It seems even from all the way over by the train, one of them must have noticed your group, particularly the weapons and come to investigate. It seems like a source of worry, but as it turns out she wants to trade, they apparently would have a purpose for obtaining such weapons. The group aren't particularly keen on trading away such rare and valuable weapons that could come in handy on both the trip home and going forward, in protecting the home tower. The offered price however, gives everyone pause and shocks Trish, Aranza and Suzy."Ticket? For go?" Kenna repeats. It seems they are offering a singe one-way ticket in exchange for the guns. You're not sure if this is a good trade or not, no one seems exactly sure. But the rarity of such an offer is cause for consideration. Pondering, how valuable it would be to be able to take the train to any destination in the city, even if only just once...>Something to wonder, before departing...
>>3481853one person, for one destination?make it 2 and we have a deal
>>3481853Take it, even if we don't use it Io bet we can trade it for a lot later
>>3481862This, if they don't want they can fuck off, we'll need the guns to go back anyway
>>3481894>>3481871>>3481862One for each gun? You whisper to Aliyah who can make the strongest case, and after a little haggling, the train worker will accept the trade. Severing off two tickets from a roll on her belt, Kenna snatches them from her intently while the guns are handed to the robot. Well that was pretty straightforward. Again, the true value is not immediately clear but it's not like these were the only two guns the tribe had.So then, with Joan to mind the tickets and everyone packed up and ready to go, your slightly larger group departs the station.---The travel home as it turns out is thankfully uneventful, and you're all familiar with the way by now. Only a few hours (during which time you can discuss the nightmare with Trish) and you're already in the sub-levels of the one building, taking the elevator up to the level where the crossing is. From there it's just a matter of waiting for the metal carriage to be brought over, though what a wait it is as Trish and Aranza are speechless, in awe of the view; neither of them have ever been above the clouds before. Never seen the sun."H-H... H-How far up the roof go?"Thinking you're under some blue ceiling like in downtown where everything is under a ceiling, Trish clings to you with some trepidation even while Aranza keeps crawling towards the edge to try and look over the side but is always too scared and jumps back.. just to try again. You recall your first time seeing the Upside world, seeing the clouds and the sky and the sun. It seems so normal to you now from living up here for several months, but it gives you some reconsideration about how strange a world yours is in these times.>Anything to do here, any last business in this building or otherwise before returning home finally? It'll take two trips because of Suzy and her cart, but you'll all be over there a few hours after midday.
>>3481942Nope, no more business I guess, let's see our friends againshow Suzy the restaurant bots, maybe she can interact with them for something
>>3481942Let's go back, see how Jess help up.
>>3481942I would day to get some food but the two times we did it we got visitors, let's just go back, we have wounded(and damaged)
>>3481965>>3481952>>3481985You consider showing Suzy the restaurant but for everyone else's sake, getting home seems the best idea for now. So you merely wait with the others in anticipation for the bask to arrive, being brought over in person by one of the adults surprised to say the least at seeing some new faces. Of course you normally have to deal with Daisy fidgeting in high places, but now there's also Trish and Aranza having their own panic attacks. Again reminding you of your first trip over the gap. Fortunately those adults with you recognize the feeling as well and can keep them from panicking better than you can. Enough at least so that when eventually the home building is pulled into, there weren't any fiascos along the way.Quite the fiasco now though, as almost the entire tribe is gathered to see everyone back! Cheering and screaming, yelling and crying, a full range of emotions blasting you all in the face after time away. Overwhelming to say the least, though the biggest focus right now is getting everyone injured over to the healthcare ward. The other two Joan's are present and there's no shortage of help offered to carry everyone the way there. You're one of the few not wounded so you get some quick greetings from glad, familiar faces but no one to linger when there's folks hurt. And what more, anyone not rushing to the medical area, are busy swamping the newcomers with attention. Like Nama before them, Trish and Aranza are practically dogpiled in attention as everyone wants to know everything about them. Not that you're jealous, but surprisingly for as well as you fared in all this, you're left without much attention compared to everyone else. All there is, is Kim standing and waiting to see you home."Get what want? Some all done now, yes?"Glad to see her again after all this and unable to get a smile off your face, you set Daisy down and want to tell Kim all about the journey and thank her for enabling it... and to apologize for the difficulties faced. Before you get a chance though, you find your attention soundly occupied."Alexa!"A mix between a kiss and a headbutt for as quick as she blindsides you, Jess throws her arms around you in a deep hug and even picks you up some. Not that you're not glad to see her but maybe downplay the affection in front of everyone? Before she tries to make out with you standing. Joan just chuckles though, and says you can talk together later if you like, and simply that she's glad to see you home and well again before returning to commanding the metal carriage effort; there's still one more trip that needs to be made after all (to get Suzy) and it takes multiple people to operate the setup."Home now." Jess says warmly while nuzzling you, causing Olivia and a couple of your other friends to giggle when you notice them to the side, watching.>What do you do?
>>3482065Return Jess's affection a little, tell her and our friends about the journey, and tell Jess we have a surprise for her, we'll give it to her at night when we go to sleep.spend the time asking them what happened here and when Suzy comes along introduce her and show her the eletronic parts
>>3482117thiswe need to find a computer too, to check out the necklace but let's do that after we show Suzy the robots and everything we have
>>3482065Just a heads up this will probably be my last post of the night, so thanks all for playing. In the meantime, now that you're back home, this is probably a good chance to think and consider what your (and other players) goals might be now, what your ongoing plans could be. Since you now left notice to mother of your whereabouts, the only thing more you could do than that is to go looking for her personally, but short of that you've already taken care of that worrying loose end. Now you can figure what matters to you, without that issue weighing on you. At least until she shows up again, or you decide to look for her, or otherwise.
>>3482204thanks for running
>>3482065Get Suzy to the scrap pileDid we keep the tickets on ourselves? It's a good emergengy escape.>>3482204We have to start cleaning up the place, or the adults have, planting, exploring for more conforts, make this place look more like the old world. We have to find mother too, and figure out what to do now that everyone wants us.
>>3482204I think what Alexa would want now is to take care of her new close friends, learn new skills and put them to use, and eventually, figure out the new people mystery if possible.Maybe we could even go with the next girl to go to the Red Cross to see if we can find mother there.
>>3482204Save humanity, starting by this tribe, if its fun to do.
We should train more combat and sneaky when we have the chance.
>>3483737That tribal girl will teach us the art of battle
Good ideas and plans so far. A reminder that you can always prefer to change the time frame as well if you like, like if you're at a point you feel content to move along with for awhile such as working on a skillset. In any case just here to say, with my final in a couple days then, probably don't expect posts till then. I might be able to sparsely, but best not to wait up for them till after everything is finished.
>>3482204we should make use of our percieved importance and convince them to give us a leading place, we already established they will do most of the things we ask to keep us happy or because its better for our future, so we might as well make that authority known.first step on making things our way
>>3482117>>3482150>>3482593>>3482684>>3482782>>3483737>>3484150>>3485068In the meantime you can return the affection with Jess, easily as happy to see her again, and to spend awhile with all your friends catching up about your time away. It's only natural that they would want to hear most about your experience (especially under the circumstances you returned), but you can ask a little as well in edgewise. Particularly learning how another mountain climber came looking for what happened to the last, and is on some uneven terms with the adults over it. Also, how more and better food is being negotiated for after people complained about such a treat from the restaurant across the way, that something was demanded to be done. Thusly it seems the adults, feeling hopeful in their bets on you, are planning on trading away the valued goods that would have been spent on trying to afford extra lives for people in the tribe. With you it doesn't seem there's any need so they can instead trade away what they would have normally saved up, to traders from Downtown who can bring a reliable source of proper food rather than only what can be scavenged up here above the clouds.A lot to catch up on for sure, enough that it occupies you till dinnertime, though Jess and the others are fine to give you a little chance to breathe and catch up with things on your own terms. The biggest focus for you now, is Suzy who you promised a deal to and after locating her can give her a tour of what you know."Eh, you wasn't lyin kid. This don't look like my kinda stuff... but they's a lotta worth here."Although you would guess at disappointment for Suzy realizing this is all mostly only (old) consumer electronics that the tribe specializes in, and thus generally useless to her, especially in her damaged state. However she can easily look through various mounds of old electronics and see this and that which would be considered a great value in Downtown. So while she was hoping for spare robot parts, this is something of a next best thing, in the way of small treasures she could trade for spare robot parts. As well you can show her the disabled form of both Hardbody up here and the construction robot floors below. The former she could fix she thinks if she had the parts (though she clearly expresses intent in merely gutting Hardbody for parts for herself), the latter is beyond what she has information of so can't help much there. Still, at least she's somewhat satisfied, enough to remain in the tower for the time being till some greater value can be exchanged to her for her ongoing residence. It's only early evening though after all that, you'd had plans with your friends or at least with Jess but you're free to act as you please of course always and it's not like you're short on time, the sun only just setting over the clouds in the distance.>What do you do?
>>3485304Holy shit, tell the adults to hold back a little on that trade, we still haven't figured out the new people thing, after we do it they can trade it all away.Show them the fruits we got, they should still be fresh and we can plant the seed at the roof of the next tower, ask Suzy if she knows how to do it and tell the adults to try it tomorrow.Take Jess and train with Aranza, we can turn that into some sort of game
>>3485304Take our drone to the girl that helped us learn and ask her to fix it
>>3485611Planting is good, get the adults on that, Suzy probably knows at least a little about it.>>3485304When we are done for the day we can invite Jess to our room to give her her gift.
>>3485661well, the plants are a good start as any, but I want to have a look at the necklace, maybe tomorrow, probably not wise to ruin the festive mood we are in with whatever news it has
>>3486082>>3485661>>3485658>>3485611While showing what scrap the tribe has to Suzy, you figure to go ahead anyway and bring your damaged drone to Mia so that she can repair it. Though you do ask that she help you to do it so that you can learn more of course. She doesn't mind at all, but by the look of things she expects it could take a couple days of work to figure out what's wrong and fix it.Elsewise you can spend the rest of the evening with Aranza, Jess happy to be involved too. Although the purpose is to learn more thieving skills from her and you can make a game out of it and have a fun time together, a big reason as well is to make her feel more at ease. Get her more used to belonging in the tribe and living in the tower now since it's her new home. It can't be easy for her or Trish and you know firsthand what that's like so considering you brought them here, you feel a little responsible for helping them to adjust. And you can see it does help, if only to take her mind of things. An hour or two of fooling around and following her lead about being quick and sneaky with your hands and how to not be noticed as much, and she's feeling a lot better. Especially with others like Jess involved, that she can start forming new social connections and make new bonds. You end the night off with several of you sitting by the big windows of the communal area seeing the nighttime view of the city, the infrequent beacons of other skyscrapers across the faint moonlit carpet of white reaching to the horizon. A chance too, to talk about the fruits that had been on your mind. Maybe even planting them, something you can talk with Suzy about and try tomorrow for sure.---
>>3486793---"What is? What is!"With most of the tribe retiring for the night then, you can take Daisy for a walk with Jess, to then take the chance and sneak off to your room together. She was obviously looking forward for the chance to spend time with you but the news that you have a surprise for her makes her simply giddy as she fidgets in anticipation on the lone chair in your room. "From Downtown! All bits from place called... um, stayshun, color bits.""Oooh Alexa, so'm pretty... so love!"You reveal the souvenir necklace to her, Jess left a little speechless at first as you explain it to her. She happily takes it of course, but is more intent on tearfully thanking you first with a big hug and a kiss. She tries to put in on after but you can do it for her as you share a moment, and she admits how worried she was about you and everyone leaving the tower, and what it could mean if you go to the rest of the world. But she knows how you've managed to scrape through everything bad so far, and trusted, felt that you would return safe and sound. Seeing the rest of the group wounded as they were made her heart sink but sure enough there you were among them just fine and trying to help everyone along.Another look down as she feels the necklace and compares the two of you now, before another big hug leading to more than just one kiss, and notably more affectionate now. Though, no need to worry about anyone seeing.>What do you do? Busy day tomorrow?
>>3486797Let's pick up from where we left off with Jess before our trip, carefully now so that it doesn't hurt.
>>3486833ok sure, tomorrow we try to find a computer to see our necklace
>>3486793Oh boy, it's habbening again.I guess the plants can wait, that food thing is worrying me
>>3486833>>3486874>>3486906Are you sure you want to though? Your heart's in the right place, but your mind isn't so much. Ever since your last experience with Jess, you can't help but have dwelled on it. For one thing you're worried it will hurt again of course and have some reservations about getting that involved again. On the other hand though you recall talking with Joan about it and how there's risk involved. Without understanding it, you'd hate to mess things up or cause risk to either of yourselves. Then again... it's one thing to think about it, and another to be caught up in the moment as you could be here.
>>3487262Let's focus more on her this time then, it was very nice before we got hurt.If we get cough up in the moment then so be it

>>3487383>>3487413>>3487434>90Worries and concerns? That's all well and good but by the time kissing and feeling one another heavily, all that's out the window and your mind is on one thing. You spend a good while of intimacy together till Daisy snoring catches both your attention for a shared laugh, before you both get into bed for some guilty anticipation, losing your clothes along the way. Part out of some trepidation from last time, part wanting a little fun with some revenge, this time though you try to take the lead. Jess had her chance to get familiar with your body and have her fun, now it's your chance. Not like she's completely helpless and she's fully able with her hands on you, but you're not the only one shuddering, trying to stifle little moans, and left gasping for breath. A sure different experience from last time, and while you're still both unsure of what you're doing and learning as much as you're exploring, there's a whole different feeling to it. Not just enjoying the intimacy of being together, but a different kind of enjoyment... sensation, that's new to both of you. Unfamiliar, maybe even a little scary, but a good feeling nonetheless and like no other you've felt before.Of course for as clumsy as you both are so to speak, you don't get very far and you're still too sensitive to her inexperienced roughness. At least more than she is to you. But neither of you end up scared or hurt as to put an end to things, and you fool around together till left a sweaty panting mess, enjoying yourselves enough to fall asleep entwined together other under the covers. You're not sure how much further you can get up to together, but it's a positive step forward rather than a bad one back, and you're curious to find out.---The sudden jolt of hearing your door open, and Jess clinging against you to hide under the covers. Though fortunately it's only the eldest Maria and she merely opens the door to call in that people are gathering for breakfast, rather than actually entering the room and catching you together. Imagine if that were the case. You thank her for letting you know and for letting Daisy out to follow her, before you're left alone again.Nervous giggling under the covers together then after almost possibly getting caught, but you're fine for now as you and Jess continue to snuggle and kiss now awake again for the morning. Sure enough you could get up and ready for the day then and there's things you could do, want to do... but you also wouldn't mind enjoying time here with Jess for longer.>What do you do?
>>3487784Take her to have breakfast, notice the food is not that good and start the proposal of growing some at the other roof, get the adults on it and ask Suzy for information on how to do it.
>>3487802>notice the food is not that goodBut dear player, the food IS going to be good from here on! Thus gamble the adults on you.Though, yes, you can make your focus for the day on potentially growing things.
>>3487811It's too much pressure, Alexa is going to have performance anxiety lol
>>3487784Have some more fun with Alexa, but get up and get our farm going
>>3487784Other things we need to do today, ask Vicky about that place she wanted to open up, where it was and what she thinks would be inside, maybe that would be a good place to scavenge. And get our necklace into a computer so we can see what it has.Lets start with this>>3487802 but lets try to do the others too
>>3487802>>3487844>>3487858Eating is important of course but it can't really compete with fun in bed with Jess, as the two of you continue to awkwardly explore young love together. And all the more as you notice, she gets pretty handsy with you and is no less clumsy about it, yet it doesn't hurt that much like it did the first time. Feels pretty... good, in fact. Amazing even the more she fools around with you, till you feel that familiar building of tension inside till unexpectedly it surpasses it into intensity, and then..."Nnnnhn! N-Not so-!"Such a sudden and strong build up to this strange sensation that you feel like you have take a trip to the bathroom, about the only sensation you can compare it to. But before you can try and stop Jess and get up, all that pent up tension is spent. A throbbing burst of ecstacy, exhilaration, as you can only cling to Jess, hug her hard as you can for support. Shuddering till the rush of sensation subsides to tenderness and you can start to feel in control of your body again. Gradually."...nnnhn... i-is... i-is f-for...?""Hmm? Is... uh... sticky? Milk?"When your gripping hug of her eases, you soon become aware of a... mess on the two of you and the bed, between where you'd been sandwiched together in embrace. She lifts the covers off to check, leaving you feeling strangely tingly and too lightheaded to make sense of it, but Jess tries to feel for it and figure out what it is, where it came from till the realization hits her. At least she thinks so, a mix of astonishment and excitement. Her mind must be racing a mile a minute as she sits up to examine it, examine you, but you're just left there laying dazed in a panting and... content mess."Alexa!""Aah!""Food some! To miss if sleep!"Neither of you get much a chance to get to the bottom of things, as another sudden knock at the door makes you yelp (and Jess the same if she hadn't covered her mouth in alarm), the deathly fear of someone catching the two of you now like this plain for all the world to see in your shame. Thankfully it's basically just another wakeup call to stop being lazy as Kim calls through the door. Though she might as well have come in anyway, the suddenness is so sobering. As quick as you are able the two of you get up and... try to clean yourselves as best you can without access to a sink or anything, having to rely on the blankets and to just leave the mess covered up there. Get dressed, check each other over, and Jess to hug and kiss you once more before sneaking out first then you on your own. To stumble lightheaded and sheepishly off to breakfast.---
>>3488169---You're not really sure what to make of all that happened those minutes ago, but you'd rather not dwell on it at the moment and it seems neither would Jess. For now you both seem to instinctively feel like keeping your distance, as if it will prevent anyone from somehow figuring out or catching the two of you for what you did. Of course you awkwardly share glances now and then to be broken by fits of embarrassed giggling, but otherwise... you can both find plenty to busy yourselves with for awhile! In particular, after a surprisingly good breakfast compared to normal, you follow up on a desire to seek out Vicky. You can find her in her captive room, struggling to eat her own breakfast with only the one arm while the adult sitting outside to guard her seemed only bothered enough to bring her food in the first place but not feed her or anything."Sick kid? Red face.""Hmm? Heya Vicky... what for other mountain you'm want in?""From fore? Other tribe, lives good like you'm. Wanted for my tribe... look them now, Downtown and here I'm." she laughs to herself and rustles your hair with her lone hand. From the sound of things it seems like a livable building with a tribe as skilled in something as your own or the neighboring tribe, so probably a decent way of living. Better at least than a Downtown gang you assume, from your own time down there and seeing a station. It seems Vicky's gang knew or had known about a way up from underneath that no one could use but was still functioning, probably an elevator. If the tribe in the skyscraper barricaded any stairwells (already very dangerous to use), you saw how it would be near impossible for a gang of even equal strength to invade. As evidenced when Vicky's gang tried to invade this tower. But being able to use an elevator or something similar... to get up as high as it could go and attack from there, from within? That could work quite well.Though, for as much as it makes sense, it feels like she's not letting on everything she knows. You would expect that if she went to such trouble to try and get you in the first place, and risk what she did, then there would be something worth it in her target tower more than just better living. Something special. You consider trying to learn more at least, but you do have other things on your mind to do... and she makes you a little uncomfortable. She's eased up now and is tolerant, even nice towards you, but you still just remember her crushing Hardbody's head.>What do you do? As well you have the choice then between two options as the main focus of the rest of the day; either to seek a trip to the other building and look into this planting business, or to get to the bottom of what's with your necklace. Or, you could do anything else really, but these two just seemed like the main options you had put forward before.
>>3488170PlantingMaybe someone could scout that place, see if it's only that, maybe it's a different kind of building
>>3488170Damn, we figured it outI say we look at the necklace first
>>3488170Find a computer and look over whatever is in the drive.
>>3488170Necklace, it is connected to our health
>>3488385>>3488209>>3488183>>3488176Necklace it seems then. Question is, do you care if someone else sees what it's about? Because you're not too familiar with computer use, if you can find one, so you may need to rely on someone else to help you which means they're probably going to see whatever may be relevant to the necklace.
>>3489350how familiar is Jess? she'd be the better option by far or one of our close friends like Olivia or Maria, whoever is best at this stuff, if it's not possible we could ask Suzy to show us how to plug and operate but I'm not very sure if I'd let her see what's on the drive, maybe if we can learn and then look at it later
>>3489459This sounds good. It's better if we don't get any adults or Suzy on it if possible, we don't know what's in it.But if it's not possible we can try to convince Suzy or Kim to show us how to use the thing but not put the necklace on it right away.

>>3489757>>3489704>>3489633>>3489608>96The promise of planting things is great, and what if the tribe could have their own food from things grown? Better than trying to scavenge for sure. However, the issue with your necklace has been concerning you more and more, ever since it was taken from you and you nearly died. Before you had always thought it just some dear keepsake from mother, but now you wonder if it isn't something important. So seeking out whatever means you can to decipher it, you end up going around and asking who you can. Olivia seems to have the answer though, and ironically enough leads you to Grace of all people. She was preparing to go about her duties for the day of reclaiming lower floors and is half suited up for it, but a sigh she accepts to help you out. To your thankful delight, she actually has her own computer in her room on the lowest floor. Her work dictates the need for one in keeping track of the status of her repairs and maintenance to the building, but she's one of the few people in the tribe at all who has a personal computer. Though she's not the most computer-literate in general, she knows at least how to operate it enough to affix your necklace to it, though it is a very awkward process because you can't take it off as far as you know so you basically have to be leaned over at an odd angle and follow after her while she goes about finding what's contained within the necklace. "Hmm... strange some, call uh... no'm member. Have put some on comp fore."It takes having to install something first but after a little confused navigating and a wait, she thinks she's got it working. She doesn't particularly care what's on it either and trusts you to not mess things up, so she intends to get to work and leave you and Olivia to it, as long as you promise not to mess anything of hers up and to close it all down when you're done."Erm... big words... can to read?""...med-i-cal data-base... Alex-ander... Nagy..."Trying your best while leaned as you are, you read through the opened program and the options. From what you and Olivia can only guess at, it seems to be some process of checking accounts that people would have. Like the bank account belonging to you that you've used before, but this doesn't have to do with money. The options that there are and what they mean are almost entirely lost on you, but thankfully there's only three entries that can be chosen from.
"Z... Z... no can read.""Is broke? Them tiny lines?" this time it has nothing to do with Olivia's lesser literacy, and rather it's something strange neither of you are familiar with. You try your best but you can only guess, and read what you think it is, "Um... Alexander Nagy... Zsófia... Kovács. Ádám... Kovács.""Kovacs is name? Why is them have two name?"More confused than anything, Olivia navigates to the last one which turns out to be a baby. A whole spread of information becomes available as well, assumedly related to the baby, including many resultant pictures, videos, recordings and pages of things typed out. Olivia finds it fun to sort of mindlessly scroll through it all and look at meaningless bits and pieces, but in her rapid scrolling through you're left a little shocked and choose to remain speechless so she isn't tipped off by anything particular; it seemed familiar at first but in the pictures you can see of the baby, they're all of home, your shelter.>What do you do? A bit of a challenge because you have access to all this information but are not exactly sure how to make sense of it. Though, potentially with enough time you could become familiar enough to start piecing through properly...
>>3490777Lets take some time to look at it, is the baby Alexa?
>>3490777See rhe pictures, try to find mom, maybe there's something about her
>>3490777Search for things related to the necklace and disease, the blood coming out or even death, try to find what happened to when the necklace was stolen.Nice trips
>>3490777I'm tempted to bring Joan imto this, she can probably understand this and help us figure things out.Ask Olivia to bring Joan over while we keep reading.
>>3491083Bring the doc in
>>3490880>>3490906>>3491035>>3491083>>3491599You had wanted to keep this all secret just in case, but seeing what it is now, you don't think it would be much a problem at least if Joan saw any of it. She may even understand some of it, so you ask Olivia to see if she can fetch the doctor for help. Meanwhile you take over with the computer, and try to see what you can. Of course you don't know what you looked like as a baby but how many other babies would have dwelled in the same shelter as yours? "Alexa? What are you doing down here? And... why are you leaning to the side like that?""Look some! Maybe good know how?"Joan stifles a laugh when she enters the room some minutes later and sees you awkwardly trying to use the computer. She humors you though and takes a seat to look over what you've found. Thankfully she actually seems a little familiar with the program, she has something sort of similar on her own computer for keeping track of the tribe's health. After a little familiarization she's able to navigate it much better and start to get into things, and better yet look for what you ask her to."Well it's a boy, says so here. I think it's safe to assume this is you... aww, look at that little cutie." although there's important and relevant information here, she keeps getting sidetracked by baby pictures and videos, "I didn't know your name was Adam though, Alex... ander must be your... father? Ah I think understand now, it must have been his sticky milk your mother got from the hospital, to have you. Your necklace, it's his medical datab- well it's like his account card, you know like the one that has your money? They have them at the hospital, lots of people from before the big war."You don't know what this "father" person is but it seems like he was a man from the old world, and it was from him that mother got what everyone else goes to the Red Cross for. Well, not from him personally but what remains of him kept there with the rest. Joan talking about you having two names though... or is it three? Your name is Alexa, it always has been right? Why would it be something else."You didn't tell me your mother was a doctor. Well, a robotics doctor. She's very pretty.""That no is mother."
The last person, Zsofia, well Joan is mistaken in thinking she's your mother even if it says she is. A completely different person, not even the same name as your mother. She's confused and shows you a couple other pictures she can find of the woman but no, you're certain it's not her. Some videos and recordings are even found that Joan plays for you as if it will make any difference."-and healthy... male, I believe is the word. A year old now... about, and hasn't succumbed to the cloud, the invisible one. Well the fact that I was able to carry him to term and deliver him in the first place is already proof that the necklace is working. As long as he... well I suppose he would always have to wear it, then he'll be fi- ow! No, don't pull mommy's hair! Hhm... look, look here Adam! Look at the camera! Can you say ma-ma? Say ma-ma! Maybe Dai-sy? Aw... maybe too much, just wave? Wave with mommy! Hi Daisy!""This isn't her voice? Look, there she is with you, she's holding you.""No, no is her... who that is?"You're getting both a little frustrated, and a little upset now. Joan seems convinced of her findings and certainty in the program, but you know it simply isn't the case. Mother didn't look like that, that wasn't her name, she wasn't a doctor, she didn't even talk or sound like that. She taught you how to speak, you talk the way you do like everyone else because of her. The woman in the video, she's more like Joan and from what you've seen of the world, she wouldn't last one day outside. But mother regularly took trips outside the shelter and you know got into fights when she returned bloody or with bloody weapons, all for your sake to bring home things like food. As far as you can tell, it's like some strange woman sneaked into the shelter or something and pretended to be your mother. Chances are your real mother probably kicked her out in fact, good for it too. Creepy person acting this insane way with children that aren't theirs. And poor Daisy too! Probably too young in the videos to know a bad stranger when she saw one.Yes, that's the sense you make in your mind, you think. It's more plausible than what Joan thinks and claims to be... right? As your patience wears thin she can tell you're becoming agitated, and apologizes. She offers instead if you would like, you could take this upstairs to her room where she could try to copy the information and then look it over on her own time, try to get a better understanding of it. And after all this, doing something else to take your mind off the upset would be nice. Though, you can't help but want answers now and if she's here and able to help you, part of you wants to keep asking her to find what she can and what you want. Just so long as she shuts up about this identity nonsense. You're Alexa, not Adam. Mother was Mother, not this Zsofia imposter.>What do you do?
>>3492409Tell her that our name is Alexa and Mother was motherDescribe our real mother and see if she can find anything about her, after that we can agree to let her copy the files and discover what she can

>>3492533>>3492573>>3492482>>3492461You affirm your own identity and that of your mother, Joan is free to think what she likes but you know what's what. To this end you seek any information that can be found in regards, however Joan can check out the most recent entries. You're not much older in them, still just a baby, but there's no sign of mother and after that the entries just suddenly stop. Must be damage to the necklace or something missing, has to be.To that end, you hope to be able to find anything you can about the necklace itself or your bout of sickness."Right, Joan had told me about that when you were all in the train station. They should have returned home immediately if such a thing happened to you, I would never have left it to chance and wait to see how you'd do overtime. How are you feeling by the way, after it happened? Have you experienced any other effects since?"Since returning home Joan hasn't had a chance to check up on you so you can tell it's bothering her a little. You recovered pretty fine though and don't feel any worse now, so as far as you're convinced it really was just temporary. Whatever happened confuses her as much as it did you though, so she hopes to find out what she can from the program, and if you give her time she will try her best to discover anything there might be. That's not something she can probably just discover on the fly though, will need time after her copying the information to specifically go through the entries and learn what she can to formulate an idea. At leas a chance there, however you also want to know about the necklace and she's unfortunately not hopeful there. Accordingly so, the program is just medical information so while the Zsofia lady mentions the necklace a few times (and it might be that the information you seek is somewhere in the entries, but again that will take time to discover), Joan doesn't expect that something like the construction or schematics would have been bothered to be stored in the necklace. Obviously Zsofia must have thought keeping records on the health of herself, the baby, and whatever information on the father available, was the most important thing. And of course the risk of trying to understand or deconstruct it yourself; the act of doing so might break the thing and then you'd really be done for without it working. Well in any case, if you're willing Joan will take you to her room back upstairs to make a copy of the program and contents, so you'll have time to talk and ask questions of her if you wish, or anything else you might want to do with her since regarding some things in your life she is a confidant. You don't have to of course though, can always take care of that later if you wish. Naturally Olivia won't stick around though if you're just going to be stuck waiting in Joan's room for awhile.>What do you do?
>>3493017Thank Olivia for the help and tell her we will see her later, I wanted to bring Trish and Aranza to the older girls place so they can get more confortable.Go with Joan to her office, let her copy the thing and make a full check on us just to make sure.
>>3493017Talk to her about Jess and what happened.
>>3493017Go with her, let her copy and ask her to tell us everything she discoversRepair or drone after it since its probably late to go plant stuff.>>3493062I don't know dude, maybe wait on the stcky milk at least? We can tell the rest
>>3493088>>3493062>>3493053Well how much is "the rest"?
>>3493109Ask about adult stuff, have "the talk" with her, ask about what people do when they like aech other and slowly talk about the things Alexa and Jess are doing, mostly to make sure is ok and probably safe, if the mood is fine and we feel safe we can talk about the sticky milk
>>3493109Lets keep the sticky milk a secret. At least until people start noticing Jess pregnant or something.
>>3493201So you do want to risk that with her?>>3493175>>3493088>>3493062>>3493053You thank Olivia for her help today then, but if you're going to Joan's room then that'll mean parting ways here for now. Unplugging your necklace from the computer then, you can go with Joan upstairs to the communal floors and the healthcare rooms where you see her daughters tending to the usual range of injuries or sicknesses. A couple from the group you traveled with are still recovering from their run-in with the soldiers, but for the most part everyone from that expedition group is returned to health. "Here let me set the chair up better for you, if you have to sit like that."Back in Joan's room again, if you have to keep next to the computer to remain plugged in with the necklace at an awkward angle for awhile, then she makes it so you can at least be comfortable while she goes through the same installing process on her computer and then trying to figure how she can copy the information to be able to read through it all in her own time. Though it takes some navigating for her, and apparently will take a little time to sort it all out with all the files and database information. Lot of videos, so you've time to besides to talk to her while she keeps an eye on the computer during the transfer but otherwise engages you."When people love each other? Oh, well... I suppose you may have seen some things since you've come to live here."You don't want to just spill everything to her on what is nervously private to you. But you can innocently and honestly enough ask her progressively towards it, since as she herself confirms, part of it has to do with what is hoped of you. There's the things you know like emotional feelings between people and romantic interest, which she explains as another side of love meant for adults or at least when people start to grow into them. It's no doubt an awkward subject but Joan has always managed to explain things simply to you and in a clinical way that you feel you can trust her and be honest, not need to worry or feel strange about things when it's usually the case that it's true for most everyone. In any case she does her best to talk about adult relationships which most everyone has, and naturally the intimate part of relationships, though she stresses it's not the only or even the most important part. You do get an idea of what people do in private though and what those older girls were doing that you saw before, and most importantly many similarities to what you and Jess have been doing and feeling.
As always with Joan, your combined knowledge and experiences slowly reach towards the eventual truth. She is of course at a loss when it comes to how men act in relationships and how intimacy works for them, but all that you feel you're learning about yourself anyway. Either way you picked the right person to ask and talk to it about, as she leaves things said and understood rather than embarrassing and not fully spoken. Of course she assumes this interest of yours has to do with the effort of coming to understand the whole process of making a person, and the experiments you had asked her to devise. As far as she can tell only a matter of time till you feel willing and ready and the hope for all can be realized... though it seems you're treading towards your own ends with Jess.Incidentally though, you do ask the pressing question when it comes to this."Joan, how'm other to make people for?""Well... everyone, we would hope. I don't- no one wants you to feel like you have to do any of this, if you don't want to we won't force you. Only what you feel comfor- ok with. But the more people we can make the better it is for everyone. And not just the tribe, but humans everywhere. With enough people we can understand what is wrong with all of us, why we're in the problem we are... oh, but not everyone at the same time, no no. It's a hard and painful process for people... for us, for women. Trust me, I know from my daughters. If everyone was like that, nobody would be able to do any work and if someone else like Vicky wanted to attack we wouldn't be able to do anything."That's a heavy thought if you are supposed to help make all the people you can, for how long? Till you can't? Who knows, but if you really are the only man alive left in the world, you can start to understand now what Joan and others meant by how important you are. Without you, one has to assume eventually the Red Cross for example would run out of sticky milk, and in the end if there's no more people... no more humans. It's a tough thing for you to try and process, but it seems that's just the way the world is now. At least you're some hope, you could just as easily have never been born, or died at some point and then there would be no hope ever. A scary thought... but also scary when Joan mentions the process being difficult and... painful for people. You're familiar yourself with some of the pain, but you'd hate to do anything if it inflicts pain and hardship on other people..."Ah, done then! You can stay if you like, but I'll read through all of this till I can get a good understanding of it. Unless you'd prefer something else?"
She's of course eager to dig into the information to see what can be learned, but of course you're more important to her so she's not going to just shove you off. You can tell she's glad to be able to help you like this and in any way she can so that's always an assurance. It would be only about midday now though you think, so there's still plenty of the day left if you had anything you wanted to accomplish.>What do you do?
>>3493278Can we try to get the planting going? Or at least discuss it with an adult so that they can get things going, Kim maybe. After that, talk to Suzy, see if she knows where we would be able to find parts for her and hardbody.
>>3493278Get to Mia so we can repair our drone before going out again>>3493425support talking with Suzy, maybe she knows a place with replacement parts, we can try to find it on our map
>>3493449Try to repair the drone>>3493278We should have a talk with Jess, we are having fun that can lead to new people, see what she thinks of it or if we should test ot with Joan experiment.
>>3493540I don't know about that, let's not complicate things too much, we like Jess and let's just enjoy, she likes it too.
>>3493611I agree I don't want to talk about the experiments(not even sure if I want to do them), maybe just comment that we talked with Joan and that we figured out some things
>>3493712>>3493611Ok but they will start asking us about new people soon...
>>3493540>>3493611>>3493712It's obviously something personal and awkward to talk about of course, though there's a risk involved you know, and complications that Jess isn't aware of that you are. Not like she's been talking with and learning from Joan about all this after all, as far as she knows it's just some innocent fun. But like Joan said, the thought that it could hurt her or even kill her, is not something she knows nor something you'd considered till now.Though either way, to reason whether you personally want to create any new people in the first place, and if you're willing to live up to other's expectations of you and create many with many people. Are you going to have to have the same feelings towards everyone as you do Jess, or do you even want to?A complicated matter to consider perhaps, as you go about getting your drone fixed and figuring out how to plant things.
>>3494040Tell her we really like her and would like to keep having fun with her but that we risk having new people because of the sticky, see what she thinks about it.If doing what we do with Jess is necessary to make new people I think Alexa would not like to do it, maybe Joan can find another way to get the milk to make new people.
>>3494081Seems good to me
>>3494040Talk to her, I guess we can think about the experiments later
Hey all just an update since we're on page 8, so I've got one last exam tomorrow, and then a project due by the 12th, so probably the same slow going till then but after that it's clear skies.
>>3494864thanks for the heads up, good luck on those
>>3494864I feel you op. Good luck and thanks for running!
>>3494864Good luck, if the exam is tomorrow I guess we won't be getting to play today, gonna catch some sleep, thanks for running.
A bit late, but everything's done now. We're also on page 10, so maybe a little further progression before the next thread.>>3494342>>3494040>>3493540>>3493611>>3493449>>3493425Thanking Joan for her help then, you part ways for now while she can look over the information in her spare time, and you can tend to your own business. It's no trouble then to spend awhile at the workshop with Mia and watch beside her while she deconstructs and goes about repairing your drone. A couple days or so of this and it should be restored to working order, and something to do till folks start to gather for food again. While the circumstances of it all are a it iffy, you can't help but notice everyone is in higher spirits given the quality and increase of food available, with some folks starting to look less sickly even. You wonder in time how everyone might look if there's a reliable income of nutrition; maybe half as healthy as folks in Downtown? Though, the cost of the exchange for this, you inevitably feel some weight on your shoulders."Heya Suzy, feel home yet?""Well it beats scavving tunnels, that's for sure kid."After eating you can seek out the robot, to find her again, going through the many scrap piles to find what she can of use. As you can see, she still has her metal wheeled basket of parts and it has been filled at least a little more. Naturally you want to know what can be done to fully repair her and Hardbody even. According to her though, while the tribe does have a good start here, the problem is some necessary parts which are specifically robotic in nature not just consumer goods. For those, there's simply no way they'll just be found among piles of old cell phones and such. Again, it seems the roads point back to the robotics place; this time not for a lack of skill, Suzy is well capable of repairing herself and Hardbody. But simply the particular parts needed, cannot be found here. It's not the end of the world and she can continue to function as-is, but she reminds you that eventually if she decides it, she will gut Hardbody for her own sake if need be.Otherwise though she's willing to come with you tomorrow for the attempted planting effort, though she still wonders why the adults tolerate you making such decisions, when from her experience children are treated as beneath adults and certainly the other children of this tribe are. >What do you do?
>>3499388So the only place is the robot place, damnHow far is that place? Do they trade with people?Take Trish and Aranza to the older girls meetimg place, see if we can get them to have some fun and make some more friends.P.s: nice to hear it, I hope everything went alright.
>>3499565It wouldn't be the only place but it's just the place she is certain would have it. If you knew of or could find some other place which would have robotics components or could be bought, then you wouldn't need this distant place.Relatively speaking for the city at large it's not that far apparently from where you all are now. Still farther than to get home to your shelter though, and you saw how difficult a travel that was already. The biggest problem of all though is that the Coned place, where all the focus is on, is not a skyscraper. It is a building entirely within the clouds so reaching it without knowing the way already is almost impossible. It's not like the Red Cross place where they welcome people and you could just take a train to get there. That said, supposing you could reach this place, yes they are supposedly open to trade. More likely though and how people normally do it, is that the word is put out that interaction is wanted, and then some presence of the place will come to those in need. A worker, robots, what have you.
>>3499584Ok, so all we need is to put word out there and wait, well, we should do that, probably on the next food trade we can also let them know we are seeking those guys, is that it?
>>3499588Ever since Hardbody was destroyed, the word was put out. Though it's been awhile but there's no telling for sure when it can happen.---On a separate note, we're on page 10 so the thread might drop off the board before continuing later today. With this in mind, would the players be interested in another thread then? We could go either way, continue onto the next or seek an ending, since it seems you're reaching towards more and more certain stability and safety (which would count as a happy end for the story) with your actions and through each thread. How are you enjoying things? Particulars, critiques or questions? Just checking the feel of things as we near an end to another thread.
>>3499388Good to see you back>>3499565We can do that and have that talk with Jess after it, and then deal with the plants tomorrow, I want to get that running before we leave again to check that place Vicky talked about. Before we leave Suzy can we take a look at the map and point out anything interesting we see in it and ask her what is there? Maybe we can get some other leads.
>>3499594I'm enjoyong and wouldn't mind continuing, maybe trying to find out more about our condition and how everything went to shit with the files Joan is looking over, and of course seeing if there is a way to save humanity if it's not too much trouble lol
>>3499595After we deal with the plants we have to demand a leadership position from themWe will be bringing better food, better stuff and new people, we have to be an elder or at least participate on their meetings.Time to start calling the shots officially >>3499594Its good, if you don't mind running I don't mind playing, I'm usually not arounf when you run live but I like to read and offer some options when I can.
>>3499604Yes, conquering the city one tribe at a time lolMaybe we could have a timeskip? That way can get all those time things out of the way like the combat training with the primitive and the sneak training with the thief, maybe even some experiments with Joan.
>>3499598>>3499604>>3499765Alright then, once this thread drops off the board, I will make the next one within a day or so after, and as usual you can just monitor the catalog or check the /qtg/ for it, or there's the notification discord. Also as said earlier and you bring up, timeskips are possible as are any frame of time you wish. Things are progressing on a by-day basis since that's how it started, but any time you wish you can progress differently if you like.>>3499595Which map do you mean?>>3499565For the remainder of the evening then, you can find Trish and Aranza who are both in that age range and try to introduce them to the older girls. Ironically, Aranza was already approached and invited by the older girls so has started getting to know and find a place among them. But Trish certainly appreciates your effort on her behalf, and knowing how rough she's had it is rewarding to see her ease up and enjoy herself among people around her age. Also quite an experience for both the newcomers since as you spend some time there with them as well, it's inevitable that the older girls of course bring up the truth of your identity so Trish and Aranza both get that blow of information to handle in regards to how they already know you. Nothing unpleasant though, just a funny experience as they try to adjust seeing you in a new light, as the older girls harmlessly tease you as usual about wanting to check out what you've got.Well in any case it's a good deed done and a nice time had, awkward as always trying to fit in with the older girls but fun enough. When they break out the colored drinks though you figure to take your leave, when you can return to the communal area to find various folks making the rounds for the night and some preparing for bed. The eldest Maria in particular calling you along with the girls to wash and get ready for bed. It strikes you though, as you're with the other kids around your age washing your face in one of the communal bathrooms, that you haven't seen Daisy all day.For sure you'd like to find Jess, Olivia or one of your other friends to hang out with before going to bed proper, or even spend the night with. But you do always try to walk Daisy at least, though it's not like she'd be in trouble anyway right? Probably off just looking for food.>What do you do?
>>3500749find Daisy, we worry about her, maybe she is in our room or with the other dogs? if she is not in any of those places recruit reinforcements in the form of our friends to try and find her
>>3500749Search around for Daisy, ask the dog girl if she has seen her
>>3500786>>3500809Well, a problem easily solved with just some common sense as you try looking around for her, but eventually find Daisy just waiting against the door to your room. She looks quite distressed though, shaking and whining, and she rushes (with a limp) to you and hides against when she sees you. You can take care of her easy enough, picking her up and holding her close, but what could have happened you wonder. You do notice of anything, that her baby sweater is missing and a closer look you can see she her mouth is bleeding from her teeth. You can't help but panic a little bit, particularly because you don't know what to do like seek help since you don't know what happened to her. If you did then you'd at least know whether she needed help...
>>3500813look inside our room if there is anyone in there, maybe daisy bit someone that tried to get in, get our knife out just in caseif there is no one there look for Joan, maybe there is someone with a bite mark looking for treatment there, and if there isn't she can take a look at Daisy
>>3500749The subway guideDoes it have some landmarks or locations too? Or even a city map somewhere?>>3500813They probably took the baby sweater from her because thats for babies and not dogsDo this>>3500834 and then see where they keep the baby clothing (if there is a place like that) and look for her sweater, or maybe ask around if anyone nearby saw what happened
>>3500834Looking to see if there is anyone bitten in Joan's place is good but I think that the girl that takes care of the dogs may be able to help Daisy more.
>>3500880Well there is a subway map of the city, but it must be a big city because there's so much on it that trying to find particular points of interest seem like it may be pointless when there's hundreds and hundreds of places on the map. You could sit there all day and not learn everything! Though, you could if you wanted, ask where the places of interest you know are.>>3500880>>3500909>>3500834You can roll if you like to ask around, maybe anyone saw something that happened.First thing though, you carefully check your room and thankfully find no one there. Your next instinct is to carry Daisy to Joan, though neither her nor her daughters are experienced with caring for dogs. You naturally bring up Chaya then who handles the dogs for the tribe but the youngest Joan speaks to stop you from going, feeling pretty certain by now Chaya will be too drunk to be of any good to you. You can still go if you want, but the middling Joan offers that you can stay here with Daisy if you like and they'll see how she's doing in the morning. Again, they're not veterinarians but they can try their best, checking and believing that her bloody teeth came from biting and tugging at something too hard and her leg... maybe someone kicked her? Though you know in her age she can't handle getting up or down from high places and hurts her legs when she tries...For what it's worth, there's no one here with any dog bites. Just the usual, someone got electrocuted.
Rolled 13 (1d100)>>3500981ask around if someone saw thendid she bite Suzy? hard enough to draw blood maybe
Rolled 64 (1d100)>>3500981
Rolled 84 (1d100)>>3500981Accept lil Joan's helpRolling for witnesses, we can reward with favors if anyone saw anything
>>3501009>>3501029>>3501064>84You can leave Daisy with Joan for now then while you go around and ask what you can. Of course it's getting late so your prospects of finding the perpetrator are pretty slim. Knowing at least one place to start though, you try going back and asking the older girls, at least one not so drunk yet. Kayla, one of them, you find does know however she is reluctant to speak the truth and rat out on someone else. Though you can see it bothers her, and she apologizes for what happened to Daisy, feeling it wasn't right for a little old dog to be treated that way. Clearly she wants to tell you, but is torn on the matter since snitching holds no benefits for her.
>>3501104Tell her we can help her with something, she can ask and we can see if we accept or not. What could we help her with if she helps us, its only fair, a trade.
>>3501130An exchange could work but you'd have to come up with something worthwhile then to trade, as she's not in particular need of any help it seems, at the moment.
>>3501104who is this Kayla girl? do we know her from before?tell her she can ask for something we could give, maybe something she wants from the elders, or we can offer her some future favor from the last boy around, that can amount for something
>>3501138Shit.....First we offer to take her on the next time we go out, to explore that place Vicky mentioned. If she is not interested in that we can offer to make her first in the experiments? Its risky and I'm not sure we would put Jess into danger and we still don't have someone locked down for that, but that is potentially way more valuable so her intel must be good and she has to help us all the way and then more to make it worth
>>3501176Unfortunatly we'll have to dick her lol, or you know, we can offer to clean her room or something
>>3501157She's just one of the older girls, you're familiar with her but you don't know her personally.>>3501176You could make some offer to her that she would accept, and tell you the truth. If you really want to go as far as offering to choose her to experiment with, that would be a sufficient offer probably, however if you could come up with something else you may prefer that's possible too. As you notice though, you don't have a whole lot of value in terms of things you could trade her. At least not things you can't afford to part with like your drone or the security jammer. And while you have a plan of pressing your case to be given a role in charge of the tribe, you're not there yet where you can promise favors or anything like that. So you may be limited to scrounging whatever goods you may have otherwise.
>>3501241Fuck it, offer the experiment to her, we should discuss it with Jess later tho, damn.Maybe if she wants some of our med supplies but she probably can get those for free too, and our radio and eletronics are not enough since she probably have them already
>>3501241Fuck wait, I know what, we can offer her a plate all for herself at the restaurant tomorrow morning when we go there to deal with the planting, if we use the restaurant during the day it may not attract people like it does at night, if she thinks its too little since they have better food now or if we think the restaurant will still atract people we should just this>>3501271 and fuck it
>>3501286Yeah I thought about the restaurant too but I was afraid it would get people's attention, but maybe if we do it during the day......that is IF she accepts
>>3501241ok, so she's a new factorif we end up offering her new life she is in debt with us for some time, that shit is pretty valuable and Olivia would call us stupid for trading it for little
>>3501271>>3501286>>3501298>>3501434Your care for Daisy is too great to let it slide! Given that, and your bargaining, you try to get Kayla to cough up the info as reluctant as she is. Your first thought is food so why doesn't she come to the other building and have something to eat at the restaurant? One dinner though is not enough, she'll do it if you get her three, at any time is convenient to you. Otherwise you can bring up making another person with her, which catches her off guard and she's of a similar amount of misunderstanding about the process as Jess and other younger people, but she's no fool to the value of such an offer and will accept that. Either option that you can provide her with, several meals or another life.Something for you to consider which you prefer, though she'll give you the truth then; she only watched from afar but it was one of the tribe elders (why she was reluctant to tell you). The elder Julia, discussing with some other adults, it seemed they didn't like Daisy wandering around in clothes as well as begging for food (and some of the little girls feeding her) so she gave her a kick. As well in the process of taking the baby sweater off her, Daisy bit and held onto the clothes to try and keep Julia from taking them away but she just yanked it hard which must have tugged on the dog's teeth and caused her to yelp and run away.Assumedly, ever since, hiding outside your door. Well, at least you know now what happened. Though Kayla was right to worry, it's not like some little girls messing with your dog. What can you do about an adult, an elder? What more, as you know from experience, people in the world these days... don't have a lot of patience or compassion for animals, dogs at least. So Julia's behavior isn't even that out of the ordinary for the average interaction. It's frustrating, and you of course want something done about it, but... what could be done?>What do you do?
>>3501494Ask to speak with Kim and the other eldersSimple, we traded for it, if she wants the sweater she can give us something of value but she can't steal from us, if harm comes to Daisy it's harm to us, and the sweater is ours to do what we want with it, it's only fair, if she wants it she has to trade, and give more since she hurt our dog.
