November 7th, 2001. The planet known as Earth, the only planet in the Universe that sustains life, is in ruins. Mankind, the dominant race, subjugated all others and became the rulers of the Earth, though other intelligent races still thrived and co-existed alongside the humans. Their shared history was a bloody one. Since the end of the Great War, several allied nations had agreed upon merging at the behest of the Lodge, a secret organization that ruled the allied nations as a shadow government from behind the scenes. USA, Great Britain, France and the British satellite states merged to become the United World Dominion, a nation that promised to bring peace and prosperity to all of mother Earth through democracy and the power it bolstered. Many European, African and Asian countries subsequently entered defensive pacts with the UWD, whether by consent or under the threat of force by the UWD's colossal military. The UWD was opposed by the newly arisen Soviets and Nazis, who along with their Imperial Japanese and Chinese allies, swore to protect the world's independence against the 'singular world government' the UWD would try to usher in.It took until the 90s since the cold war began in the 40s for the UWD and the Soviet-German-Japan-China alliance to finally reach their boiling points and descend into conflict. Nuclear weapons struck major capitals while cities burned, and all around the globe were millions of soldiers and civilians scrambling as everywhere became a battleground. The World War had destroyed society as all knew it, and before long, millions were dead. People began to despair. And so in the aftermath of the War, the great horns of the apocalypse were blown from the sky above. The skies and Earth were cracked open, and from them came the Angels and the Demons, seeking to bring salvation or corruption to what life remained on Earth.
You are one of the few hundred thousand left who survived the World War. You live now in the times of the Great Tribulation, the Apocalypse, like all do. The World War destroyed much of the world population, those who are left behind on Earth will inevitably pass on to the Afterlife, which is split between Purgatory and Hell, when they die. You must recall some things as you awake in the bed of a hospital with a broken leg. You struggle to your feet and remember....>Your Name:>Your Nationality:>Your Allegiance:>Your Race/Species:>Your Age:>Your Sex:>Your Pre-War Occupation:

>>3203276>>3203280>>3203284Yes, of course, it returns to you as you get your bearings. Your name is Jane Rayner, and you were a nurse before the War who would patch up both UWD troops and civilians alike. You were fleeing from combat in Pennsylvania between the UWD and Waffen SS supported by the Wehrmacht when your group was hit by a stray missile. Most were killed, and few survived, one being you. You were lucky that only your leg was broken, and you were sent off to a hospital in the capital of the United World Dominion, Washington D.C., soon after. You remember the day that the Earth was changed forever in 2000 when the horns of the Apocalypse sounded after what seemed to be years of fighting across all continents since the World War began in the 90s. The nuclear devastation and fallout spreading in 1999 seemed like a penultimate event to the main. The Angels were lead by a scion of the Lord who was known only by the name 'Miracle'. Miracle was forgiving to those who would seek to repent, and strict to those who served the Devil. Miracle promised that those who follow the word of the Lord will be allowed into Purgatory, in which they will wait for the Angels to take them to Heaven, which is perfect in nature, where they would receive everlasting life and bliss. Those who defy the Lord's word however would be forsaken to Hell to receive judgement and punishment for their sin, forever. The Demons were lead by Satan, the great adversary, who promised life on Earth more than the Angels and said that he would take them to something greater than Heaven if they defied the Lord and followed him. He promised to overthrow the Lord and allow all to be truly free if they followed him. Free to do anything, free to fall to any level of degeneracy, even if it was killing another individual. True, unrestricted freedom as he would put it to his followers. The Angels and Demons had presence all across the globe. The Scion Miracle personally took up residence in the holy land of Jerusalem to combat Satan who resided in Yellowstone National Park. You could choose to believe in the cause of one of the parties, or you could simply live out the rest of your life only for yourself as your own master..... but only if you're really willing to risk what consequences being a 'neutral' could have.>You believe in the salvation the Angels offer.>You believe the total freedom Satan offers.>You believe in neither causes and choose to only serve yourself.

>>3203368>>3203415>>3203420 As a little girl, you were raised in London by two parents, Margaret and Sampson Rayner. Mom and Pops were devout Christians themselves and raised you to be one too. When you were scared of the dark at night, they would always reassure you by telling you of how Jesus loved you and would protect you from the darkness always, it would always put you alseep so fast because of how safe and happy it made you. You had a favorite verse you repeated as kid when you felt fear to lighten your spirits. Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."Later in life, your faith is something you payed less and less attention until you just sort of forgot about it. You'd guess you don't care as much anymore, but you think you were smart to ever have believed in the faith in the first place given how it was undeniably real because of everything that transpired since the nukes dropped. You choose to fight and serve your own needs in the midst of the apocalypse. You reckon that God, Jesus, whomever sees all things would understand. You've never really wronged anybody in a terrible way either, so you're pretty sure you'll end up at the Pearly Gates in the end.You sit as the sole person alive in a dreadfully dark, empty and quiet hospital in ruins. You were unconscious for some days now.... The sky outside your window is fiery, and Washington D.C. is black with death and destruction. You are cold, hungry, thirsty and must now decide what action to take next. Where to go, what to do. The room around you is an average one you'd expect to see in a hospital. But you swear you hear a noise coming from down the hall outside your door.... Some of the hospital's lights were still functioning, illuminating much of the hospital's halls. You have only a hospital gown, you need better clothes, food, water and a weapon. You just don't feel safe in your current position, and since you are crippled with a broken leg and only a crutch to support it, you may need to seek the help of any other survivors who won't stab you in the back. You decide to....>(Write in)

>>3204266>>3204288>>3204290As a nurse, you naturally know lots of things related to hospitals. Being that this was a big hospital in the capital itself, it surely had a large supply of helpful things you could use.Picking up your leg and moving slowly with your crutch, you shamble out of the door to your room, dust from the decaying walls sprinkling down on your head, which you wiped off. If this was a sign of anything, it was most likely radiation eating away at the building. You need to find a Geiger counter and gas mask with some filters too soon, otherwise the radiation will present a threat. You enter the hallway, which was illuminated by only one industrial light on the wall which hung by loose wires that looked as if they would snap at any moment now, or possibly catch an electrical fire. There was a flashlight on the ground in front of you that was turned on, but it looked to be running on low battery power and it was somewhat dim, but just bright enough to light up the rooms of the hospital. You almost go to grab the flashlight but stop upon stepping close enough as you see the dead end of the hallway, and the humanoid figure rocking back and forth in a fetal position in front of it. Their skin is brown with rot, and you see their shoulder split open, dried with blood that drained out completely. They were anorexic and emitting huffing noises. You see two rooms to the right and left, most likely more hospital rooms. Down the hall behind yourself are elevators and a stairwell leading to the floor below, the elevators presented hazard however, one was halfway down the door frame with it's metal door open and the other elevator's door was shut tight, the buttons that powered them were also not glowing. You should probably get the flashlight, but it is awfully close to the figure. >>3204414>>3204441With utmost carefulness, you lean against the wall and slowly roll the flashlight to your feet with your crutch. You weren't able to bend yourself down to grab it, the pain you would get in your thigh was too much, so you improvise by using your bare left toes to grab the handle and slowly lift it high enough that you could grip it with your left hand. You take care that the light doesn't shine into the vision of the thing at the end of the hallway and slip away into the room on the left.It was a laundry room and piles of clothes were littered about. Most of the clothes were torn and dirty or wet and soppy. You notice the old nurse outfit you wore the day your leg was broken in Pennsylvania in tatters in the pile. Glancing over at the cleaning supplies and towels, you see the leather uniform of a Dominion Federal Policeman complete with boots and a cap. The uniform had with it a radio device, a camillus knife in it's sheath, handcuffs and an empty revolver holster.>What do you take? >>3204819>>3204846The police uniform was made of some high quality leather, which would provide ample protection for your average frame, so you decide to put on the full uniform as quietly as you can with some trouble. The Dominion Federal police issued uniforms that were asexual so they could fit on the bodies of both policemen and policewomen, so it fits you perfectly with some small adjustments to it's straps. It takes a few minutes, but you've suited up and equipped the radio on your uniform's shoulder, the holster to your hip and the knife sheath around your left leg. The gloves give you a better grip around the knife, which you draw and hold in your free hand. You knew one thing, and that was if there was a complete uniform with a holster around, then the revolver the holster once carried was also elsewhere, so finding if would go a long ways in helping you.Your flashlight has sadly turned off, the battery finally dying. Luckily for you, the leather jacket had a chest mounted flashlight strapped to it, and it was brighter than the other flashlight you had, remedying one problem.Your hair was a bit long and sometimes messy, but thankfully you find a hairband among the laundry with which you can hold your hair in a ponytail with. The level you were on was full of patient rooms, so going by your knowledge as a nurse before the war who worked at a hospital for some time, the medicinal supplies was usually on a floor below the patient floors, so going down should be your next priority.>Continue to look around on this level.>Try and kill the humanoid.>Go to the stairs and descend a level.>Write in.

It is difficult and for you to walk down the stairs, your shaking leg makes it seem as if you will fall any moment now but you find the strength to get down the stairs and onto the lower floor, which was floor 1. Coming into a lobby room, you are horrified to see a miasma of flies about, and a funk that clogged your nose, nearly causing you to vomit. When you realize the source of the smell and the flies, your heart sinks. Dozens of decaying bodies lay beneath your feet, people, doctors and nurses, stone dead. Their decomposition had long begun, and the bones of some bodies protruded out from the green and pink flesh that was being eaten by the insects while it puddled onto the carpet.A staff room should be on this floor with the medical items you seek, but you also see the entrance to the hospital leading out to the streets of D.C. ahead with the crimson rays of the apocalyptic sky shining through. From where you stand you can hear a faint conversation between two voices coming from the streets outside, other survivors perhaps? Maybe they could be of assistance.>Look for a staff room to get supplies.>Exit the hospital and investigate the voices.>(Write in)

>>3205649>>3205655>>3205657>>3205730Ignoring the conversation you heard for now, you decide to step over over the disgusting corpses. It occurs to you now that these people were most likely the victims of a shooting, as some of the corpses that have decomposed the least are lined with bullet holes. You look through the various rooms of the lowest level until you enter one where you see a metal shelf stocked with a few supplies. A bloody hand print marked the wall next to a body that leaned against the wall near the shelf, wearing a soviet made GP-5 gas mask. The shelf had a can of beans, one full bottle of purified water, a filter that looked to fit the gas mask, two bottles of painkillers, a pack of adrenaline inducing medicine, and presumably the .44 magnum revolver that was missing from the holster you put on upstairs, it's ammo was there too.Since the 50s, technology and medicine advanced to a higher stage than ever before in history. Injuries once thought nigh impossible to heal could even be mended by the results of human science. The day your leg was broken was in the closing days of December in 2000, when the Angels and Demons first appeared after the nuclear holocaust of 1999. The World War, though already practically over, was still fought between what remained of the UWD and and it's invading enemies in the Eurasian Pact up until 2001 when it seemed that everyone had simply decided to forget about fighting completely. In January, after when you were fleeing from one of the last battles fought in Pennsylvania, you arrived in this hospital in D.C. and it still looked like a functioning but downtrodden capital city with martial law in effect. Your last memory was being put into a drug induced sleep and left on a life support machine that would feed nutrients to you and take care of the rest of your bodily functions while you were unconscious. The doctors told you that you would wake in some days and that they would care for your leg until then, but you have a feeling it was way longer than days that you were unconscious on that machine. You affirm your assumptions as you see a calendar on the wall that somebody had kept up with, the page it was on was December 7th... The bodies you saw must have died recently as they were not completely dried out yet and only flies and maggots were present with them. You had worked with a life support machine like the one you were plugged into before and during the World War, and you remember that these machines were designed to automatically awaken the patient should it run out of it's nutrients, so you deduce that yours had run out and awakened you. You had nothing to carry the supplies in, there was no bag or box you could see to use, but the pockets of your uniform should be able to carry some. You can really only take at least five, maybe six of the items for the road.>What do you take?
>>3206916Put gun on holster, grab its ammo, beans, water, 2 painkillers, and gas mask
>>3207117>>3207175>>3207276>>3207562You sheath your knife and check the revolver, seeing that it was fully loaded, you holster it and pocket the ammo along with the food, water and one bottle of painkillers. Your pocket space being taken up, you decide to take the gas mask off of the body and slip it into your knife strap to hold it. No need to let that filter go to waste, so you put it inside of the gas mask while the knife strap holds it in securely. You come back out to the lobby and take a look out of one of the windows to identify the source of the voices you heard talking. Down on the ruined streets trashed with rubble and garbage, your eyes land on a destroyed bus blocking one of the ways of a crossroad. A figure standing atop the bus is acting in an erratic way, crouching while snapping his fingers together and stepping back and forth sideways like a crustacean. Two men are below him complaining for him to let them pass, to which he only replies back by shouting that the roads are his, at times picking up a lead pipe and swinging it in a threatening way. The first of the men was distinguishable from their blond mullet, they wore average clothes tattered from the conditions of the surrounding world, you could see he only had a small rifle on his back. The second man was shorter, sounded old and wore a few traditionally Japanese things such as a conical hat and kimono shirt, and you could see he even had a katana.Perhaps these survivors could be of some assistance, maybe they knew of some place safe? Or you could question them with anything you'd like, but they look like they really want to get over that bus.>What do you do? (Write in.)

Upon noticing you, the creepy man on the bus hisses and ducks into the vehicle to hide. The two men give an uneasy look at you, the samurai places his hand on his katana while the other has his hand on his gun strap. Feeling the need to present yourself as a non-threat, you raise one hand and state that you mean them no trouble. The samurai lowers his guard and stares less intensively. The other man's blank stare turns into a small smile of ease as he greets you. Taking a good look at them, you see they are Dogmen, members of one of the only other intelligent species in the world. Humans believe multiple theories as to how Mankind first began in ancient times, including riveting tales of prehistoric cavemen, the same went for Dogkind, whom had some similar tale that involved evolution from four-legged creatures in prehistory. The taller Dogman speaks in the accent of a Boston boy."Hi there stranger, you haven't attacked us yet so I'm going to assume you're friendly. If you are then it's nice to meet another survivor who doesn't resort to shooting and asking questions later out here in old D.C."The samurai speaks next, his voice grizzly and old. "Yes well, we are cartographers from the settlement at the Washington Circle and we're incredibly busy, so-""Now hold on just a minute pops, the lady here is crippled for peeps sake! We can't just leave her here with... him." The tall one interrupted, motioning to the creeper who hissed back through the bus window. 'Pops' scoffs at him as the taller one looked to you."Sorry, he's just a bit impatient, we've been here trying to get through because we need to get to a building past this bus and the creeper won't let us through. The only other route to where we need to go is a block or two away, and we don't want to run into any mutants or robots or god-forbid, Nazis, just to get there. I'd shoot a warning shot at the creep, but I only have but so many bullets and I don't want to attract anything. Anyway, I'm Sullivan, and this is Pops. Did you need help or something?"You take a minute before you open your mouth to speak the first words you've spoken in a very long time, you gasp and almost choke but cough it off as you speak and ask them about this settlement in Washington Circle they mentioned."Ah, well, survivors like us all got together at Washington Circle to establish safe haven away from the rest of the bad things out here these days. It's actually just down the road to the north that-a-way if you want to go there. A man in an ushanka hat with a bottle of vodka in his hand stood there awaiting you at the settlement's entrance."Halt! He says nothing back but instead walks over to you and before you can react, he pulls you into a big hug that takes you off of your feet, it was almost like being hugged by a bear. You could tell this guy was most definitely friendly to you if his initial greeting is a hug."Ahahaha! Welcome! Welcome to the Circle comrade!" He sets you back onto your feet, making sure you don't fall off of balance with your crutch, all much to your dismay."Ohhhh, that's a nasty one there." He says while looking at your broken leg. "Ah! We pick as many stores clean as we can from downtown D.C., can't anymore because of Nazi survivors moving in and fighting for control against the UWD remnants. Everywhere in inner D.C. is terrible warzones now, so we have to farm now. So far, we only manage to grow corn, and it not even good corn, it's nasty corn.">"What is the common goal of this refuge?""To survive, we guess. Lives are precious, and apocalypse make people forget that. I do not forget that principle, I want only to save and help others. With Angels and Demons about trying to coerce people and take them somewhere, I guess I also protect them from Angels and Demons as long as can, at least until the end comes.">"What are the threats in this wasteland?""There are so many, you just know these are truly the end times, comrade. Nazi and UWD army remnants stalk inner D.C. and fight to control important government buildings there. UWD survivors occupy the capitol building, meanwhile the Nazis are hold up in the Pentagon. They are a vicious bunch, they loot and kill anybody without mercy. Besides them are the highwayman, bandits and scavengers who may or may not be unfriendly, and other indiscriminate survivors who do whatever they want. And then there is mutants who lose their minds to the nuclear fallout that blew in from the nuke that impacted North Carolina, they are gangrenous and nasty! Kill any you see on sight, I urge you! Oh, and I cannot leave out the robots. You remember the days of the eighties when robots first go mainstream? Was wonderful day, no? I wanted to get a special kind of robot myself back then for certain purpose, but besides that, many of the robots are active and patrolling the ruins and wastes today, both commercial and military made. Steer clear of robots I warn you, they are very, very strong and not go down easily."With that, Bossman tells you there is a farm, armory, general store, first aid post, radio tower and a chapel available in the Circle until midnight. He tells you that their only rules is that you don't steal, kill or trespass or fight in the Circle. He tells you that since Sullivan and Pops were the ones who found you, that you should seek them out later because they have an extra bunk you could use if you need to sleep. He recommends you go to the first aid post and ask doctor Herbert to help with your leg, he says that the doc can prepare something that will let you walk normally again.Bossman also tells you that if you need him, he set up a place for himself in the hotel, so you can find him there. You look up to see the doctor, a middle aged guy who was balding, standing in the middle of his shack, looking up at a noose hanging from the crude boards that make up the roof. You could see lots of memorabilia on the tables and dressers, such as a United States flag from before the UWD's formation after the Great War of 1914, dead flowers, and a framed picture depicting a happy family of three on a bright and sunny beach. The doctor himself seemed startled by you entering and ignored the noose to put his full attention to you. With a sniffle, he wiped away a single tear and gave a good look at your broken leg and crutch."You... you must have c-came here for medical help, y-yeah? D-did Aleksei send you?" He says with a severe, jittery stutter. You nod. He hums a 'Hmmm'."Okay, I-I can help you.... Give... me a minute...."The doctor wads his way through the empty bottles and over to a big trunk he opens up. He digs through it and moves things out of it to get what he sought, things such as a dirty and ruined child sized dress, a broken ukulele, and marbles that he spills onto the floor by accident, garnering a foul mouthed slur of curses from him. Finally, he pulls out an electronic device which he shows to you."This... is a v-very sophisticated piece of technology. It c-can last... at least... about... a week or two off of it's power alone, so k-keep it charged... which you can do b-by plugging it into a-an outlet.... You... you only need to wear it around your l-leg and walk, it'll do the rest of the w-w-work itself. H-here, let me help."Doctor Herbert takes the device and lines it up with your broken leg as you hold against the wall to stand. He straps it around your foot and leg, putting your holster over the device before he lets go. Taking a risk, you hand him your crutch and try to walk and to your relief, you do not fall. The leg brace device, although tight around your leg, gives you back your mobility because of it's locking mechanism that does not allow it to bend without pressure being applied. You thank the doctor and tell him he can keep the crutch in case someone else needs it, he only gives back a nod before he returns to staring at his noose.

The interior was comfortable, there was a nice velvet sofa in front of a television playing the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty on a VHS player. There were some small shelves that looked to be taken from looted grocery stores stocked with miscellaneous novelties such as scrap, tools, bags of corn, water, some food and little medicine. I don't want to sound ignorant, but what's been going on since the horns blew?" You cross your arms."You mean after the Angels and Demons appeared? I don't really know about the rest of this poor little world, but I know about events here in D.C." She sighs. "Well the damn Nazis that invaded from Canadian land in the 90s got all the way down here to D.C. after they pushed back our troops. That rat bastard Schutzstaffel dog Roderick plowed through D.C. with what of his army remained and he's taken the Pentagon as a base. It's like he still believes he's fighting the World War, and he's intent on capturing the rest of D.C." Abigail says with some some grimace."The Nazis didn't engage in any hostilities to us or any of the other settlements at least, but Bossman thinks those godless Nazi devils may start taking tribute from survivor settlements in order to feed his army. Ever since they moved in, they've been fighting against the UWD army remnants who control inner D.C., places like the memorials, White House and the Capitol building. I've heard rumors that the Dominion's leadership is still in power over what remains of their government here in D.C., they say the members that make up the Lodge, that mysterious governing inner circle that formed the Dominion, is held up in the Capitol building, making plans to try and rebuild." Abigail explains."I don't think they're gonna get very far with that if the rumors are true though. The Angels and Demons are all about fighting each other. Those Angels try and convince people to accompany them to the holy land in Jerusalem so they can go to Heaven, and the Demons meanwhile try to turn people to the worship of Satan. You ask me, I think I'm going to Heaven in the end, I spent everyday before the war reading the bible and following the Lord's word, I just wonder when the end times are going to end. I can't wait to see my family again." Abigail says.>Ask Grandma Abigail something else.>Buy or sell something.>Go somewhere else.>(Write in)

I also wouldn't suggest you lose that flashlight dear, even though the sky is like fire, that doesn't mean everywhere is going to be illuminated brightly, especially not most interiors.""I see, thanks anyway. Do you have any clothes? Maybe something more comfy than this? Or something to carry things in?"Grandma Abigail waddles over to the back room of the wooden shack before returning with a stack of some slightly tattered clothing and a small backpack."That I do, but you'll have to mind the condition, not everything is so untouched by the apocalypse anymore."You reach into the pockets of the police uniform searching for a wallet or anything that may have been left behind in it, but find nothing. Grandma Abigail giggles at this before she simply places the items in your hands in the middle of your fumbling."A little broke dearie? Heh heh, it's no matter, you can have them on the house dearie, think of it as a little gift from little old me. I rarely get to have these quality conversations with my customers, most just come along and say few words, exchange their cash and then leave so quickly it's like they weren't even here to begin with. I can tell you haven't gotten used to the how things are now, so you should take a while to learn some things, I wouldn't want you to go getting yourself hurt out there."Smiling, you thank Grandma Abigail and accept her gift."If you're staying in town, I'd like for you to visit again dearie, it's been pleasant having a little company for once. Now you have a good day, and do your best out there."Saying goodbye, you leave as Grandma Abigail settles back down. It is getting late now and the fiery red sky has darkened, but not enough that it's red glow doesn't shine upon all things. >>3214969>>3215002You feel a bit tired now after having to take in all you had to today. You remember what Bossman said and march over to Sullivan and Pops' house, which was close by. The house was strange, one half looked to be like a traditional Japanese home, the other like the rest of the shacks in the Circle. You see the two Dogmen sparring with what looked to be like sticks. Pops was easily the superior in skill though, Sullivan was making mistakes in his practice left and right, and received a good deal many of hits from Pops. After they were done, you distantly hear Pops give Sullivan a lecture, calling his timings, concentration and stance sluggish. After he is finished, he sighs before Sullivan bows to Pops, who walks back into the shack with his arms behind his back. Sullivan stays outside for a smoke break. You approach then."..Hm? Oh, it's you, the lady from the hospital. I see you got a brace, nice." He smokes his cigarette. "Yeah, we had to come back quick, all kinds of things crawl about when it's late, and that damn bus creep wouldn't let us through, which is a shame because we lost a map somewhere on the road his bus is blocking, in a building Pops thinks." He takes another puff of the cigarette."So lady, how can Sullivan help ya' today, er, night?">Ask Sullivan a question.>Say something to him.>Inquire about the bunk.>(Write in)

>>3215020>>3215023You speak up and inform Sullivan about what Bossman told you when you first came here. He drops and steps on the cigarette to out it."Oh, yeah, the bunk, hold on." He says before entering his shack. A few seconds go by before there is a crashing sound, to which you decide to enter the house as well.Inside you see Sullivan picking up things he knocked over from a stack of his stuff. Pops is sitting on a pillow on the floor reading a book in Japanese at a short table. "Hunh... clumsy oaf." He quietly mutters. The inside was just as weird as the outside. The wooden boards making up Pops' Japanese inspired part of the house were painted dark blue, while Sullivan's part of the house was unpainted. Pops' side of the house was nearly empty save for the bedroll, table and books the old guy had, meanwhile Sullivan's side of the house had vintage pre-war items such as a coffee maker, a television, an atari 2600, a VHS player, a stack of VHS tabes and loads of baseball paraphernalia among others. There was a couch, but it looked like Sullivan preferred the hammock which hung between the walls in the corner.Brushing himself off, he grins and hands you a bedroll. "Here's the spare bunk. Really, it's just a bedroll like anybody else would use, but Bossman for some reason calls any bed a 'bunk'."He hops onto the couch then and groans, exhausted. "It's probably been a long day for you with that leg and what not so uhh... You go do whatever I guess, sleep wherever you'd like. Oh, uh, the fridge has some things if you're thirsty for something that isn't water. And snacks too, like grapes.... Actually, those might not be so fresh but... there's trail mix in there." >>3216930>>3216952Sullivan scratches his nose. "Well none of the shacks here in specific have one, but the hotels around the Circle here have been secured and locked off, the only ways to get in are from inside our walls themselves. We all usually use the bathrooms and showers in those hotels to wash. Can't sleep in their though, the mold and fallout downpour made a lot of buildings uninhabitable, which is why we build these shacks. You can however wash or whatever, as long as you don't remain for too long. I just hope the water doesn't run out from their sources anytime soon.""You mentioned something about a lost map, what's that about?" You ask next."Pops?" Sullivan says, looking at his father. Pops' eyes dart to you, his stance unchanging."I have risked life and limb to draw out a map of what ruins lie around the White House's area, several times nearly getting spotted and taken captive by the savage UWD remnants, and in my hour of misfortune, a gust of wind came and blew that map right out of my grasp. If I am to be fair, I WAS standing on the roof of a tall building as I map out the ruins with what I can see from up high, so I should have expected it. I saw it land into some pit of garbage that lies inside a building with collapsed walls on that street we were attempting to reach, but that blasted gaijin ridden with insanity on the bus prevented us from getting there! The only other way there to the street with that building is through an area known to be filled with mutations!" Pops fumes, but inhales and exhales to calm himself."Forgive my tone, I am... frustrated, to put it lightly, guest." Pops says before he resumes reading.>Ask another question.>Offer to help find the map>Go find somewhere to sleep.>(Write in)
>>3217011Go to the hotel to bathe and clean ourself
>>3217035You exit the shack then and enter one of the hotels. There was heavy dusk in the air, and the black spots of mold could be seen on the walls flaking off from nuclear fallout. Hell, there was even a few mushrooms growing on the walls. You rush past the decrepit hotel lobby room and up into the suites. You look through the rooms to find some awful bathrooms until you come upon one with a relatively clean bathroom and shower. You undress from the police outfit and find some cleaning items left behind in the shower with which you wash layers of dust and sweat off of yourself with. It was refreshing after the day you went through. Some thoughts cross your mind as the water rushes against your skin. What should you even do?You were supportive of the UWD before the war, it was everyone's nation, it was YOUR nation, it was the very culmination of democracy. But now it is only remnants that stalk D.C. and treat survivors in a seemingly hostile way, but you supposed it was normal for people to be unsure of each other in this apocalypse. You thought about what Grandma Abigail told you, the rumors that the Lodge, the governing inner circle of the Dominion, still existed and you wondered if that was true? The Lodge itself was always mysterious, pre-UWD world leaders such as the U.S President, the British Prime Minister and others were known to be members of this governing circle. The Nazis were worrisome, and perhaps the Soviets, Imperial Japanese and Chinese Communists that they allied with before the war still existed as remnants too. Their very presence here in the heartland of the Dominion unsettled you, and deep down inside, you wish they were gone. The Demons and Angels roaming about were nearly impossible to comprehend. Were they really the same things that the Bible said existed? Is there really an Afterlife? Heaven? Hell? What life objectives do you want in the future? What are some things you'd like to see? The UWD back on it's feet? The Nazis eradicated? The Circle thriving? Your place in Heaven secured? What do you plan to do now in the Apocalypse?>(Write in objectives)

>>3219595>>3219625>>3219689>>3219705Though it was a fleeting hope in the end times, you nevertheless would like to see these people here in the Circle out of danger's way, you would like to see them settle somewhere safer. At the same time, you also considered venturing out to attempt to join the UWD's remnants in order to fight for your nation against the enemies that threaten D.C., the Nazis. But in order to get anywhere in the world today, you might need allies to help along the way, mutual trust and companionship always helped, so you need an extra gun that can watch your back while you watch theirs. To this end, you considered helping the first survivors you met, Sullivan and Pops, to get their lost map back. You figured you could gain a friend in them, one that might even help, Sullivan at least seemed to be the type. You dress in the plain white tee and jeans that Grandma Abigail gave you, the clothes were much more comfortable and less restricting than the police uniform you had on before. It was now about time you left the hotel, for you could spot the deadly black mold and flaking from the fallout on every wall. This was no condition to remain behind in.As you passed through the hall of the hotel's suites, you notice a door that hadn't previously been open now agape. Taking a peek inside the old suite, you recoil in surprise as you see a creature. A mutant maybe. A thing, it's body black and almost like an eel. It had tendrils and only one eye. It was emitting weeping noises that sent a shiver down your spine as it stared at a Bible it held, tears dripping from it's eyelid....>Interrogate the mutant.>Draw your gun and fire at it.>Attempt to stealth kill it with your knife.>Attempt passive introduction.>Leave to go sleep in the Circle.>(Write in)

But although you were careful in trying to sneak closer to the mutant, your leg brace made a snapping sound then as you flexed it in a certain way, which drew the attention of the creature who looked at you.Almost immediately it recoiled back to the wall in fear and the cries it made sounded out faster. Then, it surprises you again by speaking. Yes, it speaks in a voice most juvenile and young....."N-no! Please! Please no!" It says with tears streaming down it's eye, making a sizeable puddle on the carpet. "I don't want to die! Please! D-don't kill me! I don't want to die! It curses you one last time before it's lid closes and it slumps over, dead. You retrieve the knife from it's body and brush the blood off on the dirty sheets of the nearby hotel bed before you leave the place for good.Coming out again to the Circle, you decide to sleep next to the statue of George Washington in the middle of the Circle. Unwinding, you let your muscles relax, truly relax, for the first time in a while. This was sleep, not that irritable unconsciousness you were under at the hospital. It felt good, but it did not last nearly as long as you would have liked. Before you knew it, the rays of the sun woke you as you leaned upward, covering your eyes at the blinding source of light in the fiery sky.Slowly you stood after putting on your brace again, there was plenty of things you could do, otherwise today would be uneventful. You saw Pops and Sullivan talking over near the entrance you first came into the Circle in. You ask him if he needed some help getting the map back, telling him to think of this assistance as a repayment for how he and Pops treated you when you first met."Well, I mean, it shouldn't take long to get that map depending on how things go with that bus creep again, but if you want to hop along for the ride then sure, be my guest. You could get a better view of how things are out here while we're at it. C'mon." He says with that smile that never fades. He takes off walking at an inane speed out of the Circle, but you manage to keep up and signal him to stop once more, to which he gives you a puzzled look until you mention breakfast."Trust me doll, you don't want that junk Strawman gives out early, unless you would like to eat squirrel meat mixed in with oatmeal and raisins. And I'm not exaggerating either." He snickers, destroying your appetite immediately. Well I hate to burst your bubble darling, but there probably isn't anywhere much different from here. Anywhere you go it's mutants or robots or thugs, and if you're extra unlucky it'll be Demons.
