Finally after two years in the service of the Dark Queen Quintis you have finally been promoted. No more marching through filthy peasant villages administering the Queen's justice, this is your chance to rise through the ranks of her Majesty's armies and become one of her generals, or so you thought. Being placed in a garrison out in the middle of nowhere wasn't the promotion you had imagined, but after the death of your commander, your rise through the ranks seemed that much more possible. Through your leadership, your garrison holds its ground through an assault and infiltration by rebel forces and manages to capture two of its heroes. After transporting the two of them to the Capital, Queen Quintis decided to promote you to Captain and to add you to her collection of personal agents.Pulling the rug off the sandy floor of the tent, you rig up a flimsy carpet screen effectively splitting the tent in half. You instruct Randolf to handle one of the interrogations while you handle the other. Randolf gives you a disconcerting grin “Finally, I get to put my commissar training to good use.” He says before taking a swig from his canteen and disappearing behind the screen.Selenas looks at the screen with concern and slight disgust, before she can say anything though you order her to guard the door. “I-I can handle an interrogation,” she boasts, her voice wavering only slightly. “Very well,” she was going to have to get used to stuff like this anyway “Mildri watch the door, I don’t want any of the locals barging in here.” With a nod Mildri walks out of the tent and you head over to the tied up guard.“Let’s make this simple, you tell me everything you know about your employer and I don’t have to get unpleasant with you. Understand?”The guard glares angrily at you and chews his tongue but remains silent. It looks like you had a tough guy on your hands. Well tough guys tended to make the biggest messes, whether it was with piss or blood and guts was just a matter of how tough he actually was.>Roll me some d20+1s

Speak.” You snap, but the guard remains silent.“Maybe I should check,” your kick catches the man off guard, your foot slams into his stomach and the guard coughs and sputters. Seizing the momentum, you grab the man’s face and turn his head to face you. “Ah I see what the problem is, there is a tongue in there, but it looks a little stiff. Maybe I can loosen it a little bit.” Your fist crashes into the man’s face dislodging a tooth and sending blood and spittle across the room. “Now let’s see if that solved the problem. Who is your employer?”The guard looks back up at your and spits a gob of blood at your face.“It looks like that didn’t solve the problem,” you sigh. Grabbing the man’s the leg you hoist the limb up slightly then stomp your boot down on the side of the man’s knee. There is a crunch as the man’s leg bends sideways. The man finally lets out a scream “Now that seems to have solved the problem.”You wait for the man to stop screaming, which takes longer than you expected. When he finally calms down enough to speak you ask him again “Who is your employer?”“I don’t know,” the man groans. You are about to twist the man’s leg when he screams more words. “I don’t know, none of us know, the boss doesn’t tell us anything. We’re just supposed to guard the tent. Ask Salim, he’s always been nosy, he might know something more.”“Salim is the other guard?”“Yes,”Pondering the man’s words for a moment, you hear dull but meaty thuds from the other side of the partition. Some muffle words are exchanged before a louder thud and Randolf pokes his head around the rug. Heading over, you ask “What did you find out?”“My guy doesn’t know shit, said yours might.”“Funny mine said the same thing.”“Hm, what’s the plan then Captain?”>Continue the interrogations their hiding something.>Wake up their boss see what he knows.>Let them stew for a while you’ve got things you’d like to do. Testing out that his jaw is still attached to his head, the mercenary glares up at Selenas, “What do you want girly, are you an apology whore from your boss,” he snickers jerking his head in your direction.Stunned by the man’s vulgar comment Selenas stops to clear her throat before asking her question. “No, I’m here to ask you about your employer and why you are attacking caravans.”“That’s it, well I can answer those right now.”“You can?” “Yeah, my employer is myself, and I’m doing it because I fucking feel like it.”Sighing Selenas addresses the man again, “Look, I’m trying to save you, if you tell me I can stop my captain from beating you.”The mercenary’s gaze flicks to you, and you can see a worried look touch his face, before he regains his composure and faces Selenas again. “Oh him, I’ve been hit harder by children, so don’t worry about my health girly. I’d be more worried about your own, and what me and the boys will do to you once the rest of my crew arrives.”Selenas curls her lip in disgust and growls “We’ll see about that.”>She had her chance, its time you stepped in.>Give Selenas a nudge in the right direction.>Wait and see how Selenas handles this.>[Write In]
