+Intro+In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium there is only war. Imperium of Man, once strong and proud, now is slowly crumbling, whole regions of space are lost to the horrors that lurk in the darkness of the void. Sector Deus is just one of the thousands of Imperial provinces that form the front line in the war to defend Humanity itself. Corruption from within and aggression from without threaten it. But the Emperor sends us hope. High Lords of Terra commissioned a Chapter of Adeptus Astartes, finest warriors Humanity has ever seen, to defend this region of space. They are the last line of defence that hold Age of Ruin at bay. They are the Ghosts of Retribution and this is their tale.+Briefing+Chapter Chronicles and starting point for the novice initiates:http://chapterquest.wikia.com/wiki/Chapter_Quest_WikiBattle voxcaster frequency, all allies are welcome to join:https://client02.chat.mibbit.com/?channel=%23RisingSons&server=irc.Rizon.net+From darkness, Ghosts return.+
>>2776079Good to be back. Questions and queries from the end of last thread:-Eliam Belisarius?-Who will be the new Lord General Militant? Have Gration/Eliam decided?-Returning the navy cruiser and asking about some kind of periodic escort supply.Next order of business. The Triot Campaign:-What is its current status? Any changes due to the coup?-We should start preparing our troops. Redrilling them in combat against orknoids.-Can we create a spy network in Subsector Cryptus (Tartarus Focus) for 50w? To keep an eye on the D'anger situation.-Can we send spies and scouts into Subsector Mortis to get a grip on the current situation within? Spies on independent merchant traders and the like.Posting tripmarine's plan for Operation Ghostblade next....
++Operation Ghostblade++++Commander: Geron, then Revenants, then scout sergeants.++++Assets: Entire Ghost company. 50 Scouts.Special orbital insertion vehicles.++Preparation: ~6 months prior to invasion entire scout force to be inserted onto planet of Triot using drop pods disguised as meteors. Event to be timed to coincide with normal meteor shower. Objective Alpha: Do not make local orks aware of the incoming invasion or presence of Astartes. Can only be contravened to achieve critical objectives or successes. Objective Beta: Identify disposition of all enemy forces include size and number of klans, warbosses, mekboys, prominent nobs, etc. Not to interfere with Objective Alpha unless by determination of Mission LeaderObjective Gamma: Identify all remaining human assets on planet. Gather information from them and attempt to organize them to support incoming invasion if feasible. Not to interfere with previous objectives unless by determination of Mission LeaderObjective Delta: Prepare demolition charges near critical enemy assets (e.g. Mekboy Kamps) to blow at time of invasion. Place beacons and teleport homers near critical assets to be seized in first wave (e.g. starports, prometheum refineries, etc). Not to interfere with previous objectives unless by determination of Mission LeaderObjective Epsilon: Attempt to sow discord amongst local Ork klans by assassination then leaving icons from rival Ork klans to promote infighting. Not to interfere with previous objectives unless by determination of Mission Leader----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'm in support of this plan. Though we'll need to know any changes to the Triot Campaign schedule asap.
Finally Assassin's suggestion:>I would like to suggest sending out some scouting vessels to map subsector Mortis. The styrian triarchy hides there, using our lack of knowledge to their advantage.>If we are to root out this heresy, we must gain intelligence on the subsector.>Small, nimble vessels should suffice.I agree with this. I think we should also look into reliable independents and chartists who can map the area.
>>2776111After some thoughts, considering removing the revenants from this operation and just using the 50 scouts. We want to revenants available to focus on Kruun.
>>2776138i agree with this
>>2776108Do we have resources availble to hunt Mrs Ursus? I know half the sector wants her, but we should do or partany word on recent activities in the triachy?can we spyprobe kruun?
Is there any way we can get a tithe of ships and money to help expand our navy? We should increase our own power since we are the most pure entity in the sector.
>>2776218I've already suggested giving Deidara's fake cruiser back to the Imperial Navy in exchange for some kind of regular escort construction. Hopefully that will help a bit.
>>2776227That would help however I think that we need a bigger navy now. Which means we need big ships not just small ones. A tithe would allow us to afford the necessary cost of building said navy. Also we should look into building a ship yard of our own to replace losses.
>>2776108>Eliam Belisarius?Once the official inauguration ceremony was over, Eliam Belisarius was one of the first people to come over to you, kiss your hand and thank you from the depths of his heart for the restoration of Belisarian dynasty.>Lord Astartes, you will never understand what it means to leave in fear for centuries. You have never known this feeling, it is exclusive to us mortals. But let me tell you, it's worse than being dead, so your actions, in some sense, gave me life for the first time since my childhood. I have a gift for your Chapter, but it's not an easy one to give. Come to Templos, when you will be ready and we will talk. Emperor bless your steps until then.
>>2776242We should leave at once to Templos.
>>2776242As Templos is fairly nearby, and I imagine there's probably a major warp route between it and Tachion Primaris, we should stop off there on the journey to wherever we're going next.>>2776238Potentially. A tax/tithe idea has been floated before but we generally want to be looked upon well by the populace.Personally I'd prefer a concrete deal with the Imperial Navy / Adeptus Mechanicus to acquire such things on an ongoing basis.
>>2776247We could convince the Nestorians to help supply shipps and build a shipyard on Monarak or Varda, by telling them that by incorporating their findings into fighting the enemies of the Emperor. Their "heresy" would then be protected by our chapter and would be legitimized by that. I think we should ask Regon about this ASAP. So I propose that we got to Nestorium but stop on Templos on the way.
>>2776108>Triot Campaign-What is its current status? Any changes due to the coup?As coup was quick and created minimal disruption to Sector at large, plans for the most part were unaffected. Original date of 361.M41 now seems to be quite ambitious, but you can choose one of the following options:a) Rush preparations and try to keep to the schedule - 362.M41b) Allow some time for Sector forces to reorganise and initiate operation in 365.M41c) Rethink the whole campaign and push it to a later date-We should start preparing our troops. Redrilling them in combat against orknoids.-Can we create a spy network in Subsector Cryptus (Tartarus Focus) for 50w? To keep an eye on the D'anger situation.Sure, please roll d100 and allocate a leading person (Xyptus?)-Can we send spies and scouts into Subsector Mortis to get a grip on the current situation within? Spies on independent merchant traders and the like.d100
>>2776262Also regarding spy networks, please choose your approach:a) Bribe, threaten and coerce existing individuals to make them your agents - up to 1+d3 years to create spy networks, effectiveness ratio [3-1.5:1] b) Have your agents infiltrate the organisations, but boost their ranks with defectors [2-1:1] 5+d6 yearsc) Use only your own recruits to slowly infiltrate and build up your network, allowing them to climb the hierarchies undetected [1.5-0.5]. Will take 10+2d10 years - a generation
>>2776262I think B would be the best option. /roll d100 Cryptus>>2776269I think B would be the best option.
Rolled 1 (1d100)>>2776262I think.>c) Rethink the whole campaign and push it to a later dateAt present I really think potential conflict with the Styrians takes a far larger priority.I think we should strongly recommend to the Imperial Guard that we don't overextend ourselves at this potentially unstable time.Obviously this means operation ghostblade is also postponed indefinitely but we should keep the plans ready.>Sure, please roll d100 and allocate a leading person (Xyptus?)Xyptus would be best yes. Due to Varda I assume we have a small transportation network around the subsector. Should help him keep under the radar.>>2776269>b) Have your agents infiltrate the organisations, but boost their ranks with defectors [2-1:1] 5+d6 yearsRolling for Xyptus.
>>2776269b) Have your agents infiltrate the organisations, but boost their ranks with defectors [2-1:1] 5+d6 years
>>2776262c) Rethink the whole campaign and push it to a later date
>>2776142>>2776138>>2776111Important information regarding Triot - you do have sporadic contact with human resistance on the planet - they have a functioning, highly militarised state in the mountains. While communications are not great, you can definitely try to arrange them to organise a distraction or even a full offensive at the same time as your landings.>Who will be the new Lord General Militant? Have Gration/Eliam decided?Important question. For the moment Gration is running it, partially sharing duties with Tyrel Hagen. You suspect, that leaving situation as it is will create vacuum where either one of them will permanently take on the title or if the title is left unawarded, it could create a power struggle among the generals.
Rolled 1 (1d100)>>2776288I think we should nominate Hegen to Lord militant he would be easily controlled.>>2776277My roll lol
>>2776299>I think we should nominate Hegen to Lord militant he would be easily controlled. He is Navy though. Don't want one man in charge of both.A shortlist of viable candidates is needed. Lord Generals of the Sector (or even beyond).Ideally we need a calm, collected logistician. Possibly an older man with a level head. Someone to keep the Imperial Guard working smoothly while the military establishment recovers from the upheaval.
>>2776303Possibly Kerius Dermont
>>2776246>>2776247You take a week off from your duties in organising the new Court and take up Eliams offer to visit Templos. It is a beautiful world, rich in wealth and culture, it's people are fat, devout and happy Imperial citizens, who have not seen real war within their lifetimes. Eliam greets you in one of the towers of his palace, it is well decorated, but not obnoxiously luxurious, as you would have expected from one of the major trade magnates of the Sector.>Milord, as I mentioned before, I would like to present your Chapter with a gift. During my lifetime as the governor of Templos, I have accumulated considerable riches, but to be completely honest with you - glitter of gold never had the control over my heart. This morning I have signed the documents for liquiditation of considerable part of my estates. The proceeds are to be transferred to one of the Mechanicus guilds, my agents are currently scouring the Segmentum looking for the most suitable place. Chapter Master, I am planning to build you a Strike Cruiser. Naturally, this is going to be a long process that will also demand your close involvement in order to make sure that it suits your specifications, but I believe that it is the kind of legacy I would like to leave. I hope you will agree to accept it and use it to defend the Sector and our dynasty, just as you have up to this point!
>>2776282As your commitment to the Triot campaign was public, do you officially announce that it's suspended for the moment? Remember that Xerant Dynasty was planning to send 100 regiments, so it's still unclear whether they will continue without you or not.
>>2776318Possibly send scout company
>>2776318>As your commitment to the Triot campaign was public, do you officially announce that it's suspended for the moment? Remember that Xerant Dynasty was planning to send 100 regiments, so it's still unclear whether they will continue without you or not.I am in favor of talking to them before deciding anything, see their point of view, ask how many reserves we have etc etc

Rest assured the vessel will defend this Belisarian Sector for time immemorial!"Y/N?>>2776318I'm torn between trying to postpone and trying to cancel. But we should hear their intentions first. If they're going to throw their troops into it regardless of our involvement then we have to help.So >>2776328 Yes.As for >>2776288 regarding the human resistance. What we need them to provide is a clear planetfall onto the surface. If they have clear airspace that's what's most important to utilise.
>>2776282>>2776277>>2776299Secret network in Subsector Cryptus is an absolute success - it takes mere 4 years to set up (expected date - 363.M41) and will be very strong (50% + 0.5 = 75%). Tartarus counterintelligence doesn't suspect anything (autofail).>>2776303>>2776307Top candidates:1. >>2776345Voting for:>3. Lucas Xerant >Advantages: Experienced commander, Granting this post would satisfy Xerant dynasty's post-coup aimsDisadvantages: Independent nobleSo long as it is clear that the Lord General Militant position is NOT hereditary like his old Lord General of Adamantis position.
>>2776345 Lucas Xerant
Regarding the Triot Campaign. We really need a bigger picture regarding the operation. We need to consult with the prospective commanders. What are their reserves? Will there be weaknesses elsewhere in the Sector? We also need scouting information on Triot and Styrians to determine the viability of the Campaign. Prospective campaign duration. Etc.If we think the campaign can be won in a year then imho we should go for it asap. If it's going to wear on for much longer then....
>>2776331Triot Continuation Council (TCC) is the governing body of Triot human population. They can provide relatively clear air space for you to land your troops, but please bear in mind that mountain ranges protecting TCC also slow down and impede any potential offensive from there as well, giving orks an advantage.TCC area marked in red in the orbital scan (picture attached).
+Triot Campaign breakdown+Human forces (combat effective):TCC troops: 4 million (experienced, badly equipped, entrenched)Xerant forces: 1 million (fresh, well equipped)Sector forces: Unconfirmed (no Lord Militant), potential between 500k to 25 million from core reserves, more if time is given for additional mobilisation.Ork strength:Skullroarz Klan (dominant, active): 7.5 - 10 millionSmaller, active, infighting klans: 25 - 50 millionFeral/unmobilised ork population across the planet: 400 - 800 millionXerant force is currently working on a plan to land in the arctic, where there are almost no unified ork klans, establish a base and start fighting their way towards TCC enclave. Expected campaign duration: Phase 1: [6 - 24] months to reach and relieve TCCPhase 2: [12 - 48] months to use established base of operations to defeat and scatter dominant ork Klan - Skullroarz.Phase 3: [3 - 90] years for clean up operations and extermination of disunited feral ork populationsMacedon, one of your most strategically minded Captains, looks at the numbers and frowns. >Those guardsmen are going to commit suicide. On an open field, with those numbers, even after preparatory orbital bombardment... I suspect Xerant expeditionary force will not last a month.
>>2776418Xerants aren't that dumb. If we know it they know it. They're banking on additional support, they need to.I propose we pledge our troops for the 361.M41 deadline. BUT with the understanding that once we relieve the TCC we will perform a 'strategic reassessment' of the number of troops we continue to station there.Thoughts?
>>2776371>>2776363>>2776359This is a grand day for Xerant dynasty. They have had a considerable power in the Sector for a long time, but only today they can truly say, that they are the most influential Dynasty for hundreds of light years in every direction. Ursus' Dynasty has fallen from favour, Belisarians are still recovering, others are mere distractions. However Lucas Xerant in his unofficial letter expresses gratitude to you for your trust and promises to use his new powers to maintain stability in the Sector and support the new Sector Lord.
>>2776435Reply to Lucas that we're glad to have a man like him as Lord General Militant. Given recent events it's important that a man who understands loyalty and the chain of command is in place.Drakkon and Larion Ursus didn't understand those things, and it caused problems.I assume I should move Lucas Xerant to Lord General Militant and his eldest son Alexander should become Lord General of Adamant Prime?
>>2776418>>2776435i know xerant is new but we want an assessment on reserve strength when either the triachy or something from the grave stirs up trouble in these fraglie times.
>>2776441I would suggest you to assume that at the moment Sector has a standing 25 million Sector wide reserve in the Core Worlds (decently equipped, with ships both for transportation, logistics and space support). What the actual mobilised forces will be like and their size will depend greatly on the Lord Militant. As Lucas Xerant is quite capable, you expect that in times of a serious crisis he could call up a force of up to a few billion from the whole Sector, having in mind that governors comply and there are no insurrections or serious morale problems that would require the troops to maintain control of the populations. Tachion Primaris alone has a standing military force of 3 billion, about 1 billion of those could in theory be redeployed if people in the capital are happy. The only problem would be how to deploy and supply such a force. Paper force of a few billion would could take as much as few decades to prepare, mobilise and send somewhere. More modest forces of up to a 100 million are manageable in a few years, especially if there's a will and support from lower hierarchy (planetary governors, dynasties, etc.)
>>2776465What kind of equipment will the imperial forces have at their disposal? What about the orks?Since this is an industrial world is nestorium showing any interest in helping? A few titans would really do a number on the orks....
>>2776465>>2776418One of the first announcements from Lucas Xerant as Lord Militant is the commitment of the Court to alleviate the suffering of Triot humans. He pledges additional 920 regiments, for the Triot Campaign, pushing the total to 1020 regiments, which now makes up roughly 10 million soldiers. General Alexander Xerant will be given permission to temporarily leave his current post to command the Guard forces during the operation.
>>2776473TCC doesn't have much manufacturing capabilities anymore, so they are primarily infantry and defence based force, though they still have decent artillery and AA forces.Meanwhile Xerant forces will have the standard Imperial Guard load out, including a mix of armour, artillery, light troops and shiploads of infantry.Nestorium wouldn't see direct benefit to create a rival to itself, economically speaking. At the moment you get the feeling that they see this campaign as a minor venture meant for public image more than for actual strategic value. However you know they they respect your opinion, you can try to persuade them, but it will be a Hard (-40) Diplomacy check. Offering things can improve their attitude.
>>2776481Perhaps we could convince them to supply them if they are rebuilt as a joint Space marine/AdMech world.
Second proposal.Commit our original pledge of three companies. Along with two strike cruisers. Led by Chapter Master.Commit to the campaign until we've broken the back of the organised orks.Meanwhile our other ships should keep active patrols, especially near Kruun and the Grave.Once we achieve major objectives on Triot, we can reassess our level of involvement.Thougths?
>>2776481what about ork equipment?stompas? battlewagons? remember they have much industrial stuff for loot and constructing
>>2776498My only concern with that is the post invasion plan. Who gets what and how the planet repairs itself. Other than that I like it
>>2776498May as well use the 128th Kriegers too.
>>2776502Indeed ork level of technology is quite advanced, stompas have been sighted, also TCC troops have reported that they have some Anti-Orbital installations as well that you should keep in mind.>>2776503>>2776498>>2776507Sounds good, shall we execute the Triot invasion on Friday? >>2776517>Sounds good, shall we execute the Triot invasion on Friday? Year 362.M41?I think there are some things we woudl like to get done first. Some talking to people. Enacting some other operations. But I'm happy to pen that in.

It could be the fact that he hasn't seen battle in a long time or possibly some ripples in the Beyond that are triggering this, but I am extremely worried. We could send Brutix into battle and see what happens, but it could be dangerous for the crew, also we are not engaged anywhere at the moment where deploying Land Raider would make sense. Another thing that we could do is to send him to Nestorium for check up by the Machine priests, but he might not like it either. What shall you do?

STEEL. Being forged into tracks, guns, assembled, taking form. MACHINES. Stand in rows, side by side, blessed and praised. Two of them stand side by side, mighty and proud. LAND RAIDERS. Clash in battles against the enemies of Mankind. They get damaged, taken out of action, repaired, back to fighting, always together. IN BATTLE. Fiercer than any before, the two get separated. >>2780112Ecclesiarchy has managed to get their hands about a decade ago on a treatise concerning recruitment of new Triarchy priests, who are very important to that fallen society. Maybe it will concern some useful information to use against your enemies later?+Recruitment in the Church+Hopeful initiates of the church can enrol in some schools to prepare for the priesthood. After a few years of study if their performance is satisfactory they would be allowed to take the final exam. The first part would be merely a written test on what they have learned to weed out those not willing to put in the effort to study. Those who pass shall move on to the real meat of the exam.As is tradition it shall take place in a remote cave or somewhere desolate after a week of fasting. Armed with only ink and parchment they must answer correctly the various questions. This usually takes about three days for most students. With no food or water they must answer the exam. The ink can be drunk and the parchment eaten for nourishment, though they contain slow acting poisons which is fatal to most, but it acts randomly - some succumb within hours, others can take as long as a few days. This is to simulate the trials Murr underwent to become worthy of speaking for God.Most of the failures happen at this stage, either quitting when they are starving or thirsty and refuse to take the poison for a chance to finish the exams or having taken the poison they still feel that they won’t be able to complete the exam. Actual deaths are very few in comparison to the total number of those who actually ingested poison. The one piece of technology in their test cell is a button to press if they wish to give up and medical aid can reach them in about half an hour. Most of the miniscule deaths come from trying to do the impossible and finish the test without eating or drinking or dying from the poison trying to finish the exam. After a few months those who pass get a final oral exam with a panel of made up representatives of the church. The representatives are there to vouch for the person as someone worthy of officially entering the church. Mainly by seeing how they answer to reveal their character. Those who pass go on to serve in many diverse roles from tending to the machines to sorcery. There are many roles but the ones that have the most famous practitioners are in the field of judiciary, sorcery, administering to the flock and technology.+Cont.+
>>2780133The church has not just relegated itself to preaching but it has expanded to being experts in many fields in order to have that important clout and influence to steer things according to their desires. The position of High Priestess sits atop the organization as the first among equals a body of 15 with the power of veto which can be overridden by everyone else voting for it.Members the Assembly of the Styrian Triarchy in order to hear the reports made by the priesthood on their various doings undergo their own rituals and pacts to keep silence or immediately suffer a fatal attack.

All of the planets suspected as being part of the Triarchy have some naval presence, so there's at least some hold on all of them.>Triarchy's strength and presence on each planetSame.>Triarchy's fleet strengthImpossible to assess. Your spies noted a few bigger concentrations of ships, especially one big task force near Neveron, it had close to 30 escorts accompanying 2 light cruisers. However your impression is that majority of the Triarchy fleet is escort-based, as they don't have their own facilities (or indeed the time) to build up any serious capital ships. Rumours about their capital ships claim that the heaviest ship they have is a cruiser and and that they have around half a dozen proper capital ships. Can you trust this rumour? You are not sure.>Triarchy's fleet activityYou were able to discern that there are two patrol rings around their space. Outer one is very light, made up of solo escorts and listening stations, meant to monitor Imperial movements, while the second ring has swarms of escorts, sometimes accompanying heavy frigates. These are 'fighting patrols' that you would expect to engage you. Finally there are the reserve fleets that stick close to key strategic systems, ready to either defend the approaches to Triarchy core worlds or to enter the battle. You are not sure if this is their true doctrine, but these are the best guesses you can make.>Activity of any other entities within the SubsectorNo clear information.

>>2780940Destroy it.We've toyed with the idea for years, but we have the specialists we need, we learned from the experience and most importantly, we can never grow our IW beyond a small group anyway due to the huge risk of another schism based on their difference in heritage.I like the IW, Hull is clearly the best marine we have and I'd like to give them a chance to return into the fold of the Emperor, however, we have little to gain and much to lose and while I would also enjoy going renegade I don't think we're anywhere near that and I don't think that that's the way we should secede. If we have to cleave our own path through the galaxy let the course be set by a decision that will be legendary, not one based on tinkering with things that need no tinkering. I'd like to give a good use to the GS, but after years of thinking about it I still cannot come up with one.It was fun, just don't forget to give the gene-seed some dignity as we destroy it, our cousins died for it.
when we attempt to re-take Triot i think it would be best to land on the human resistance part and then push out from there.
>>2780996Addendum:Geneseed is the heart of the supernatural heritage the primarchs left for their sons, many Iron Warriors from a purer age must have carried them and left their own psychic and genetical traces. While there's obviously no consciousness, those traces of the emperor's chosen might want to leave something behind as they perish and we might want to listen to those soul fragments as we end them.So keep one eye open, in this case the third one, it might just be the roar of warriors denied their wish to serve, but I feel like we owe it to them to at least pay attention.

>>2780901>>2780918+1>>2780922+1, does this have the problems of schism as a pure Iron Warrior geneseed would?
>>2781457>>2781451Schisms occur due to differences in populations.Social cohesion decreases as diversity increases.
============== Action Summary / obscene text dump ================= The Strike Cruiser =I don't think our fleet is big enough to start specialising the weapon loadouts. So I think we should keep the weapons the standard loadout.Coming equipped with a Teleportarium and Additional Shield Generator would be ideal, and help it lead the attack in planetfall situations. As for the name. Some of us think 'Aegis Dei'. Meaning Shield of Deus. On a related note we'd also like to name the new Gladius Frigate (due 360.M41) the 'Warchild' and should go to Gladius Squadron Alpha.= The Endeavour-class hull =The shell that was Deidara's dummy ship. We should return it to the Imperial Navy in exchange for ten Thunderhawk Gunships.= Kest =We also wanted to ask Kest about the Ionian Crusade (>>2776577), and whether it could've been related to the Triarchy due to spatial proximity.= Chapter Expansion =- Promote 50 scouts to full brothers and implant another 50 scouts to replace them. - Cost 50 Geneseed and 50 Power Armour (already in possession)- Purchase 20 Jump Packs and 8 Devastator Weapons for 8th Company - Cost 64 wealth- Promote Lieutenant Hector to Captain of the 8th Company, give him the Imperial Wings (Generate two new Lieutenants for 6th and 8th)- Begin training of 10 more Techmarines - Cost 10 geneseed and ~50w- Begin training of 10 more Apothecaries - Cost 10 geneseed and ~50w- Begin training of 3 more Librarians - Cost 3 geneseed and ~30wTotal Cost: 73 Geneseed, ~194 wealth. Will need an ETA on the Techmarines, Apothecaries, and Librarians.=== Triot Campaign Preparations ====My proposal for the Triot Expeditionary Force (with input and help from others of course):- Battle Barge Aspera Dominus + Gladius Squadron Beta (upon their return from Operation Stormchaser in 362.M41)- Chapter Master and Shadow Guard- Chief Librarian Trianon, Lexicanums Vortigan and Laxenos.- Master of Sanctity Laptus + his penitent Guard- Master Apothecary Klementhos- Geron + 6 Revenants- First Company Elements (Captain Brethorius, 12 Terminators, 11 Sternguard Veterans, 6 Deathwatch Veterans, 1 Dreadnought (Gavin the Untaken))- 6th Company + Chaplain Delium- 8th Company- Scouts (~60 as proportional assignment)The campaign should open with operation Ghostblade as outlined here >>2776111+cont+
>>2782787>of course I fucking forgot something. Add Krieg 128th to the Triot force composition.=== Simultaneous Assignments ===While we are performing the Triot Campaign we need the following simultaneous activities going on.=Patrol Group 1=This unit should be assigned to Subsector Tyranus, keeping an eye on The Grave, and Kruun and ready to respond. The commander is Captain Harmantos.Composition:- Strike Cruiser Pax Sepulchrum + Gladius Squadron Alpha- 2nd Company + Chaplain Heorod- Lexicanum Eudoras- 10 Sternguard Veterans, 10 Vanguard Veterans- Scouts (~25 as proportional assignment)=Patrol Group 2=This unit should be assigned to the Subsector Mortis border, keeping an eye on any Triarchy activities as best they can. The commander is Captain Quintor.Compositon:- Strike Cruiser Morbid + Hunter Squadron Alpha- 5th Company + Chaplain Tempestos (Upon his return from Stormchaser)- Codicier Damokleon (Upon his return from Stormchaser)- 10 Sternguard Veterans, 10 Vanguard Veterans- Scouts (~25 as proportional assignment)=Reserve Group=This unit should be stationed on Mormark/Tombstone, ready to respond to any other needs around the Sector. The commander is Captain Dreidor.Composition:- Strike Cruiser Ghost's Lance + Gladius Squadron Gamma- 4th Company + Chaplain Axon (once back from recovering Elegion)- 10 Sternguard Veterans, 10 Vanguard Veterans- Scouts (~25 as proportional assignment)- Punisher Squad= Varda Garrison =This group is stationed on Varda for defence. The commander is Captain Kay.Composition:- Sword Squadron Alpha- 7th Company + Chaplain Omniscio- Scouts (~25 as proportional assignment)=================================================================That's what I have. In addition to the expected events:360.M41 = Captain Macedon will return from his full limb replacement procedure on Medusa with the Iron Hands.360.M41 = 1 Gladius-class Frigate (Warchild) will be delivered to the Chapter from Nestorium.360.M41 = Spy Network Adamantis (45%), Spy Network Ecclesiarchy (45%) and Spy Network Core Worlds (31%) will be formed.360.M41 = Klementhos will finish testing & analysing the spook recovered from Deidara Ursus' stash ( Roll here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/2242698/#p2260251 ).361.M41 = Operation Hidden Bounty expected to have located the weapons cache on Wladistan361.M41 = Seran will have finished restoring the suit of terminator armour recovered by the CEF.362.M41 = Krieg 128th will leave the service of the Ghosts of Retribution. - WE SHOULD TRY TO DELAY THIS IN ORDER TO USE THEM ON TRIOT362.M41 = Operation Stormchaser will have results to report.
>>2782787Furthermore, we should spend xp to upgrade Hector.Generate Weapon Skill now he's a Captain.1 xp to give him +5 Intelligence1 xp to give him +5 Charisma1 xp to give him Leadership (+10)Total cost: 3 Chapter XP.
>>2782889We will also be appointing Brother Hull as the Company Banner Bearer of the 8th Company. Because he's big, tall, and just will not die. Exactly what you need for a banner bearer.
>>2782787More orders of business: >FirstlyReferencing this:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/1167890/#p1168137A plan that was started but never enacted. We should probably talk into Barnabus Brumm about it since we already know him. It should help our standing with the Merchant League as well as Dermont and Mormark. In partial exchange for these favourable terms we should ask the merchant league to create a permanent trade route between Varda and Mormark to stimulate immigration from the latter to the former.>SecondlyWe should begin repairing and refitting the Vagabond-class transport in our possession. In my opinion we should adapt it to be a capable smuggling vessel, with secret compartments capable of holding space marines or other things we might want to smuggle into places. Punisher Squad should be good consultants for this since they know all about the cargo and smuggling checks that authorities would perform/It should additionally be fitted with an Empyrean Mantle (improving silent running) and Defensive Countermeasures (auspex scramblers and vox screamers that baffle enemy sensors for a while when fired into the void). We should find a suitable chapter serf who can operate the ship as a typical Chartist vessel. Running routes and supplies along the safer warp lanes. Over time this should cement the ship's reputation as a normal cargo vessel. Then should we ever need to sneak anything around, we can call upon this vessel.>ThirdlyBrother Astelion, the marine we recovered from the dust on Sygma-477.We should send an inquiry to Sector Morrux about the supposed Minotaurs outpost there. If it exists, tell them about Astelion and his claim of being one of them.If they do exist and confirm Astelion is one of them, we should ask for them to share details of his mission or at least what they know of it.If it doesn't exist or they report that Astelion is not one of them, then we should consult a friendly Inquisitor - Tomas Garant for example - and tell him about Astelion's claims (and lies). Because some Inquisitor is/was using marines that lie about their chapter for secret missions which is odd.>FourthlyAssign Alderon Belladon to a long term research mission on Subsector Mortis and the Styrian Triarchy. I want him to research every scrap of sanctioned information he can find in the Sector Archives and particularly any recent information reports or correspondence that may have come from any Imperial remnants on the inside.>Fifthly*Dependent on the results of the Spook analysis.*Punisher Squad should be assigned to investigate the results, track down the source, etc.+cont+
>>2786562>SixthlyOur nice new Villa on Kinteros. Whilst it may be sold of or exchanged for something eventually, we may as well use it while it's in our possession. Our more important serfs and servants can use it for periodic leave which should help their morale.Furthermore we could hold fairly regular parties there. Our representatives there can converse with the guests and get an illustration of the general opinion of the Ghosts of Retribution amongst Noblity across the Sector (as they come to Kinteros from all over). We'll be able to gauge if we're more or less liked in certain areas, or certain planets may have specific things to raise with us.Essentially it'll function as a very informal public relations branch.==========================Please do vocalise any objections and/or suggestions.
>>2786562>>2786567Damn it one more thing:>SeventhlyOur Spy Networks across the Sector need to work together to try and trace the movements of Deidara Ursus and her ship the Ascending Storm. Also try and ascertain whether Anastasia Belladon and/or Brother Lusmer are travelling with her or whether they've split up.As an aside to this point, how are the Belladon Dynasty responding to all this? And how is the Ursus Dynasty behaving publicly now? Is Katriona still 'with' Larion and being a brat or is she getting married off? Also regarding the nobility. Do Gration and Donata Belisarius have any serious marriage prospects or expectations at present or is that still quite a few years away?We should try to keep in the loop with the Sisters Famulous assigned to them. And how is their ruling going thus far? I suppose Eliam is helping out a lot but are they promising?
