Hey y'all. If you couldn't tell, this quest will be taking place in the well known DC Comics universe. Here there be gods and monsters, magicians and aliens, and even a clown or two. But bear in mind that due to various time travel related and or multiversal shenanigans, the DC world is ridiculously complex as a whole. So I'll be running a very streamlined version of it. And to be up front about it, it will likely be shaped by my own likes, dislikes, and biases.Oh, and aforementioned shenanigans won't be making an appearance.Mostly.>The RulesI will write up the life of our young hero Morgan Barrett, a high school student who has just truly begun his career as a superhero in Gotham City as Gray Ghost, you will be given prompts to direct him. Some things will require a dice roll to determine success or failure or something else entirely. Write In's are absolutely encouraged but I reserve the right to torpedo anything. The voting period will last 20 minutes after the prompts are given. I will then announce the voting closed and write up the chosen response.>The DiceWe will be using 1d100 ninety percent of the time here. Best of three. We might use something else when applicable. I'll be running with a loose sort of degrees of success/failure thing here so no real DCs.>The Pastebinhttps://pastebin.com/hUhuBkxcHere's where the info on mechanics are, along with a chart of your current social links.>The Twitterhttps://twitter.com/SleepyQMFollow me here for updates on runtimes and whatnot.>The Archiveshttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?tags=SleepyQMHere's the collection of past threads. >>2395716This is goddamn surreal. Not like a trip to the future would be anything else really, but still. You and Terry, the new Batman, join an older Bruce in his car after you retrieve your costume. The car flies and navigates automatically after Bruce tells it to head back to the manor. So that just leaves the three of you in one of the most awkward quiet car rides ever.Bruce hasn't changed much. He doesn't open his mouth unless it's important, and it seems this Terry guy isn't too eager to chat. At least not with old man Bat around. When you reach the manor it's much like you remember, only it's even further away from Gotham proper now. Far enough away that those monolithic skyscrapers seem like a different place entirely. He leads you both inside without a word, and uses the familiar entrance to the Batcave in the foyer. Your eyes begin searching for Alfred upon entering the huge home but then you're hit with the reality that the guy is more than likely long gone. It's so strange. You haven't gotten much time with the old butler but you're given pause when you realize he won't be along to take your jacket and tell you to wipe your shoes before entering. He won't be around to burn the hell out of Bruce when he says something that only the guy that lives a double life as Batman would say.A heavy sigh escapes your lips as you enter the elevator and descend with the others. When you arrive below the basement level, you immediately take stock of the Cave again. Not too much is different, there's some evidence pieces you don't recognize. But it's largely the same for the most part. Bruce has obviously upgraded in the time you've been gone. The only thing that really catches you, is a suit you don't recognize. It's put up with others, in a glass case. And there's even more than one of Dick's Robin suits. Strange. You feel Terry approaching before you seem him. Bruce made a beeline for the Batcomputer and he's already made it clear he has nothing to say right now."So. Sent to the future. Must be freaky seeing everything so different." His tone is much different from earlier, he's being genuine."I'm just trying not to think about it too hard. Just focus on getting home, y'know?""So you knew who I was when Bruce mentioned my codename, what has Bruce said about me?""Whose suit is this? One of Bruce's?""So you're Batman now? Gotta say, not who I pictured but you're not even born yet in my time.""Hey... you got any idea where Robin is nowadays?">Write-In?

>>2395815You sigh, scratching your head as you look for an answer to that question in the dismantled cold gun that Batman confiscated from Mister Freeze. "I'm just trying not to think about it too hard. Just focus on getting home, y'know? I feel like if I look too closely I'll lose it."He steps up beside you, looking into the series of glass cases housing the various suits. "Yeah, sometimes things get so crazy that you've just gotta keep moving or you die, right?""Exactly, man. Coming in here and realizing Alfred is gone was bad enough. I don't even wanna think about my mom...""Alfred, right, the old butler. That's still a sore spot for Bruce. Never says anything about him unless it's related directly to a case, so I can count the time he's mentioned him on one hand."You run a hand over the huge penny, having a hard time remembering where this one even came from. "Seriously?""Yeah, you'd think the guy who was like a second father to him would warrant a bit more than that." Terry looks more than a little annoyed. And it sounds like Bruce is more closed off than ever. "But no, I had to learn about him in the first place from Commissioner Gordon."That gives you pause, thinking about the gruff police commissioner with the grey streaks in his hair from your time. "Gordon's still carrying a badge? No way, guy has to be like eighty-something by now.">Continued
>>2395972Terry grimaces. "I- uh, probably shouldn't have said that. If time travel is anything like it is in the movies.""...Yeah. Let's talk about something else." Despite the idea of moving on you and the new Batman spend of couple moments in awkward silence before either of you find something to say. "So you knew who I was when Bruce mentioned my codename, what has Bruce said about me?"He shrugs. "Not too much, getting the old man to talk about his past is like pulling teeth. He said that you were with the Teen Titans before- before my time. And that you came out of nowhere but you had potential. He talked about how strong you were. If I didn't know any better I'd say the old Bat was scared of you."Pfft. You scoff at the idea. "Right. Batman isn't scared of anything.""Not so sure. Anyways, he never mentioned that you were lost in some sort of time thing. He just said you just disappeared. And that the Justice League looked for you for a long time. And the Titans even longer. After a while, they just had to assume you were gone. The lost Titan."You're quiet as he gives you the second hand account of your disappearance. It's so strange. To know that you were grieved for. And so long ago. The more you hear about it the more the empty feeling in your stomach grows, like you're going to be sick.>"And my friends? Do you know what happened to the Titans?">"So I heard that you were absent from a big fight the JL was involved in.">"What happened to Bruce? Terry smirks, ready for you to give some lame answer. "Oh yeah? And what's that?""How we met. I'll give you the short version. It was only days after I moved to Gotham, I was testing out my powers when I just kinda stumbled my way into the latest scheme of a local supervillain.""Who was it? Anyone major?" He's interested now. "Yes and no, Anarky. He's serious when he decides to be. Other than that, he's all talk. Anyways, the nutjob was gonna gas an entire stadium full of people with Scarecrows own homebrew nightmare juice." You shiver just thinking about what you avoided that night."No kidding? Scarecrow's fear toxin is still a problem. It's always being changed, adapted to cures. How'd you deal with it?" "We kicked Anarky's goons around until we uncovered his little plot and found the bombs. And that was after he moved them to residential areas." You find yourself smiling as you walk through the memories. Things changed so fast for you. "Anyways, I'm getting ahead of myself. I couldn't do any of that crap on my own so I had to find a way to let Batman know some crazy shit was about to go down."You've got his full attention now, he's got a small smile on his face as he listens. "So I made my own Bat signal, out of some old crates and accellerant. Instant flaming Bat."He nods. Acknowledging the craziness of that idea and the fact that you pulled it off. "Shway.""What?"He looks at you like you have two heads for a second before he comes to a realization slaps his forehead. "It just means 'cool'.""Oh. Why not just say cool?""Because cool is shway now.""Alright, I'm just gonna forget you said that. So Batman shows up, with his whole dark knight routine in full swing. Can't say he didn't scare me but hell he's goddamn Batman. I give him the info and he tell me to sit on the bench, but I'm not having it. I find the leads on my own and join Robin in kicking some ass. He makes beating on bad guys weirdly fun. There's always a smile on his face but he's no clown, he's always got a plan. I think that's what made him a good leader. Makes him a good leader.">Continued
>>2396287Terry remains quiet as you continue. Letting you just talk it out. "Even Bruce, I mean, he's not just in this to be scary and beat up weirdos. He lost his parents in the worst way. And so young. I can tell that he just wants to spare other people that kind of pain. So that makes me wonder. What happened to Bruce? He's always been more than a little cranky but the cave is so... empty."When you look to the new Batman for answers he refuses to look you in the eye. Looking into the those glass cases again. "Let's just say that the old man could use all the friends he can get these days. He wasn't the best friend when people needed him, and now- yeah. It's ancient history."There's that sick feeling again. Like something is just so sour about this. So wrong. You join Terry in looking at the suits and your eyes linger on the Robin suits for a moment. They're different in design. It's subtle but they're different. And one was made for someone with a different build. The there's this Batgirl suit, it's a major upgrade from what Babs has in your time. But they're all here. They're in these cases because they're not going to be worn again. "Terry, what about my friends? Do you know what happened to the Titans?"He's quiet for a while. Too long. You're about to ask again but he cuts you off. Looking serious. "Are you sure you want to know? I mean, really?">"Yes. I need to know. If I can prevent that from happening, I wanna try.""Assuming you make it back." He says. There's that drop in your stomach again. "I didn't wanna say it but, yeah, if I get back."Terry motions for you to follow him a bit deeper into the cave. Farther away from Bruce working at the Batcomputer. Once you're far behind the T-Rex he starts talking. "So, full disclosure. Bruce communicated to me silently through my suit about you. And there are some things he thinks we're all better off if you know less about them. And I gotta say I agree at least on that front.""Fine. I just wanna know if my friends made out okay." Terry takes a moment to think before talking, probably making sure to pick out the bits you're not supposed to know about. "Just know that a lot happened after you disappeared.""C'mon man, you warning me is scaring me more than the actual truth. Spit it out."He sighs, and finally relents. "Well, your old team. The Teen Titans dissolved a long time ago. Most of them became full members of the Justice League. Robin. Uh, Dick Grayson. Changed his name to Nightwing some time after you were gone." That's it, putting two and two together like that is like a bucket of ice water on you. You saw him on the news. Dick. He looked so different. Not just older. No he looked, tired. "That's his suit. In the case.""Yeah, but he hasn't set foot in the cave in years, and he doesn't plan to. He and Bruce had a falling out, which is putting it mildly. On the upside, he's leading the JL most of the time. I've worked with him several times before on cases. Great guy." God, it's been so long. Just knowing it's been over thirty years isn't quite enough, but to see those years on your friends face. That's different."Then there's the others I'm not so familiar with. Wondergirl and Aqualad took over for their mentors when they had to uh, stop fighting. They're known as Troia and Aquaman now. They're heavy hitters so I don't work with them often. Not that I work with the JL often at all but you get my point. Don't ask about what happened to their teachers. I can't say."Maybe you should've said no. It's hard to just accept half-answers but you agreed. "How are they?""Personally? Hard to say. Troia acts as Themyscira's last link to the outside world and anyone can tell that kinda responsibility weighs on someone. And Aquaman, his king is fed up with the surface but he took up the name so that the JL would still have an Aquaman, and to let the world know that Altantis still has their back so he's shway in my book."Huh, that's so like Kaldur. He'd do the responsible thing, even if it blows. And Donna, that doesn't sound like the cheery amazon you were just getting to know. Now all that's left is the archers. "And Speedy? Artemis?">Continued
>>2396644He looks almost guilty when he prepares to tell you about them. Like it's his fault being the bearer of bad news. "Things didn't go so well for Speedy, he's known as Arsenal these days. And he's not with the JL. After he lost Green Arrow everything for him just kinda fell apart."There it is, you can remember exactly when you felt your heart sink into your gut like that. When you had to call mom to tell her something happened to dad. "Oliver is- we lost him?"Terry just nods. "Like I said, a lot happened. He's still out there, shooting up bad guys but it's probably not how you'd expect. Bruce will mention it if it's safe for you to know anymore.""And Artemis?""She's the one I know the least about." Terry admits. "After the efforts to find you failed she ended up butting heads with her family, and when her sister died she up and vanished. Bruce still thinks she's out there but I can't say either way for sure."Her sister? Blondie has a sister? And she's missing in action? You're not even sure what to say to that. For her to just be gone. It feels like things have only gotten worse over the years. "Of course, the Titans added more members before they shut down but I don't know all of them. Save for the martian who died. I don't know much about her, but apparently she went down saving Superman. Imagine that. " No. M'gann too? God, how many people have you lost? He lends you a hand to stand up and you both walk down to the huge super computer. Bruce is still working but there's one little difference here. There's a dog. Coat as black as night. Staring at you. Terry whistles for him. "That's Ace, only other guy in Gotham that can put up with Bruce." He pads over to Terry while avoiding you. He's a big dog too. Kind of dog that meant no punks allowed back in your old neighborhood. You hold a hand for him to sniff and eventually he accepts your head pats. "Good boy." Been a while since you've played with a friendly dog. looking at his big dopey face almost helps you forget the conversation you just had. Almost."What's our progress, Bruce?" You ask while scratching Ace behind the ears, he's putty in your hands now."98% It's a momumental task to track a Speedster. Even for Brother Eye. But it looks like we're done. >>2397006"Okay, why don't you fill me in first before we decide on who's going?" We tried all kinds of things. We even tried to recreate the incident but that was a tremendous failure. The only option we had was for Flash to go through time himself to save you from the Speedforce but that carried so much risk in itself that we did not attempt it.""So what's changed? If you wanna lead me to a speedster than that must still be the only way to get back." Ace goes back over to his master, whining as he puts his head on his lap."Everything. If you make it back, just your being here is going to change the future. There's nothing we can do about that. But it's my hope. That if you don't disappear, things go differently. Better. It's still far too dangerous to tell you everything. But I believe that you'll make a difference." You're kind of speechless at Bruce's words. Even Terry has nothing to say to that. Bruce isn't exactly insincere but he sounded so- so genuine. "What do I need to do?" Is all you can manage to respond with. So he goes into mission debrief mode."The Batwing will take you to the contested zone, once there, the systems in Terry's suit will allow you to track Zoom. But you'll have to be careful. And he's got his heart set on a crash landing! Hold on, I'm gonna go say hello." He smacks another button and the words autopilot engaged scroll across the screen. He then hits another button and confirms a second time, his seat pulls out from underneath him and he flies out of the Batwing from the circular hole the opened up beneath him."Batman?! Shit." At a loss for what to do, you try to move up to the pilot seat after the hole closes but your attacker has other plans. An explosion rocks the craft and bounces you inside the cockpit. If all of the blaring sirens and warnings flashing across the holographic screen wasn't enough of a tell, you know that you're going down. And with Batman out there fighting, you've only got one chance of getting of here in one piece! You need to reach the release for the hatch.>Roll 1d100

>>2397479We're based on an old in universe tv show
>>2397479No.Super hero quest.
>>2397418You're being rocked all around the small cockpit just trying to reach the console. When you finally make it to the front you see something coming up in the distance. A man, flying, and he's headed right for you! You're not going to reach the button in time. He's going to ram right through this ship. You need to do something. Anything. Something! For a moment, you black out. Your vision swells and swims and you feel like you're underwater. You're in the air, but how? You're cloudy form is spread out. So spread that you're having a hard time pulling your shit back together. Just gotta focus on not dying. Just don't die. You slowly form a more solid shape as you float down and it doesn't take long to spot Batman. He's flying, soaring through the air on wings and jets. Fighting two people, a man and a woman it looks like. Wearing black.Terry is doing damn good against your mystery attackers, he kicks one right in the chin and sends them reeling through the air and slices the arms of the woman trying to beat on him with his wings.Whoever they are, they're strong. And they can fly. You could use your own flying brick right about now. But you're on your own. Once you're mostly in one piece again. You take aim with your grapnel, and fire.>1d100!

You start flying towards, with the intent of putting your boots in his face but he has another idea.He yanks on the cord, jerking you and throwing off your aim, he takes advantage of it and slugs you. It's- it's honestly something else. You've never been punched that hard. Not even Ted hits that hard. You damn near expect birds or stars to be dancing around your head. The man catches you before you fall and holds you up by the arm. Batman sees you and in trouble redoubles his efforts. The red parts of his suit begin to glow and in an instant he becomes faster, he wipes the proverbial floor with the woman and grabs her in a armlock. Then you hear the familiar whine of something powering up.He unleashes an untold amount of volts into her, she screams bloody murder but even with having that much electricity flowing through her she wants to fight. Batman holds her in place with one arm and raises a batarang with the other. "If you know what's good for your partner, you'll let him go. Now!"The man looks at you with contempt in his eyes. You just realized that he busted the right lens on your goggles. But he lets you go, literally. You're in a freefall, and as soon as Batman gives chase he's confronted by the male.C'mon, Barrett. You can't die like this. Not so far from home. You just focus on dispersing yourself. Making yourself too light for a fall to hurt you. And it works. You land gently on shaky feet next to the wreckage of the Batwing.Batman is trying his best but he's being slowly overwhelmed by the two of them. Then, the lady breaks off from the fight. Where's she going? Oh, she's coming to you.>1d100!

>>2397643She comes at you, hard and fast. You barely register her speed before she collides with you. She throws a single punch that launches you off your feet. You're only saved from broken bones by hardening your arms when you guard. You're able to land on your feet too but she doesn't let up, so you fall back on the one thing that's never let you down. You focus on keeping her blows either to your hardened limbs or letting them pass through you. But you have to become solid to hit her so it's a real dance. The super-powered woman barely bothers to dodge your punches, simply tanking them while barely flinching. She nails you in the shoulder and you feel something pop. Dammit! You're not doing this. You're not dying here! Boxing didn't help you the way you'd hoped. They don't even fight like they've been trained. They just bulldoze through everything. You cant blame them, with that kind of strength. If the basics won't help you then you'll fall back on your instincts. And you learned one valuable thing in Suicide Slums. There's not such thing as a fair fight. You throw another jab, and she disregards it as usual, planning to let your blow glance off of her face. Then you shove your thumb in the bitch's eye. She yells and flails from the pain but you disperse too quickly for her to land a solid hit. You shake your hand to will the pain away. Doing that felt like shove your thumb against steel! She recovers eventually, leaving you with not many options given her durability. She's bleeding just ever so slightly from the eye you poked. And she looks pissed. "Yeah, I ain't happy either, bring it if you got it!"She practically roars as she charges you, levitating off the ground and carving a line of dust from the ground in her wake. You prepare for the worst. But it never comes.Because she's got an arrow in her chest. She struggles to stay on her feet. Taking a couple more laborious steps toward you. But eventually, she falls. Stunned, you look behind you. And a man in red stands a great distance away from you. He walks towards you. His cloak revealing noting. At least until he reaches you. His mechanical arm hisses as it transforms back into a the normal shape of a hand, ejecting some sort of shell. He pulls down his hood. Revealing his buzz cut hair, and though it's covered with a red domino mask, and scars and the wear and tear of the years obscure his face. You know who it is. "Roy?"The bastard smirks. "It's about time, Morgan.">End of Session

Roy offers you a gloved hand, flesh & blood, and helps you to your feet. He whistles as he looks over the corpse of the black suited woman and pulls his arrow out of her chest. "Never seen anyone without some form of super strength go toe to toe with these monsters. I know your powers can even the odds, but still. Impressive, man."You don't feel impressive, your arms are burning, knuckles screaming. Your costume is ripped up. You must be a real sight. "If that's the case, then how does an arrow put someone like her down?"He rolls the arrow between his fingers, and the head reflects light off the setting sun. It's green, the whole thing, like it's made of some crystal. Jewel? "Yeah, that's right. You wouldn't know kryptonite quite yet eh? Don't worry about it too much. Just know that I can hit these sons o' bitches with something that'll bypass their powers. But I've only got the one."With that, he stows the arrow away in a hidden compartment on his quiver, less of a quiver now, and more of a backpack with a few canisters fills with arrows. You notice the lack of a bow. Must use his new arm now. The sounds of the other attacker screaming up above you draws your attention and you see Batman with the male attacker in a choke hold. Eventually, he lets go and the guy just drops, landing in front of you and Roy.Despite just falling on his ass from fifty feet up, he's flailing around on the ground, frothing at the mouth until he goes still. Batman lands next to you both. "Custom neurotoxin. It'll put him out for hours, but it won't kill him. Not people like him." He then spies the woman who had an arrow in her heart until several seconds ago. "But I see you found another way.""The best way, really." Roy chuckles. "I thought maybe with a never-ending war going on, and a new guy under the cowl, Batman would pull his pointy his ears outta his ass. Guess I was wrong. C'mon Morgan. I know what you need. I'll get you to Zoom before sunrise.""Whoa whoa." Batman jumps between you and Roy as his wings fold smoothly back into his suit. "We're not going anywhere with you Harper. You've been off the reservation so long I don't know if we can even trust you.""Please. I'm not worthy of of trust because I've actually been out here, fighting the good fight? Where were you when that breach happened the other night huh? Happened in your city. Not very 'Batman' of you eh?"But Terry's not having it. "Don't try and flip this on me, you've been off the grid for twenty years. You shouldn't know a damn things about Morgan's arrival or Zoom and you show up in the nick of time for a rescue? To deliver him to Zoom? I don't buy it.">"This is... all kinda convenient, ain't it?">"Give me one good reason why I should just trust you, Roy.">"Hold up, we didn't have long but Roy's my friend. "Batman, you're right that this is all... a bit convenient but I could've been hamburger meat if that fight continued to go as badly as it was. And me and Roy are- were Titans. We didn't have long, but I trust him."He clearly wants to press the issue more but back off. "Fine. I'm sure the two of us will be more than enough to handle a middle aged vigilante anyhow."Roy just laughs and waves us on to follow him. "Y'know, I was wrong. I do like you better than the old Bats."Terry takes one last look at the dead woman. The new human. And starts walking after Roy. You linger on her a bit longer. Regardless of who or what she was. Roy just killed someone. Shot her through the heart and didn't think much of it. The deed is done and this isn't even your time so there's not much to say about it but- what kinda person have the years made Roy into? You catch up quickly, jumping over some rubble and start walking with Terry, whose making sure to always stay behind Roy. "So, why were you missing in action from that breach, as everyone calls it." You keep your voice to a whisper. It's called a breach because they broke through Neo-Gotham's defense grid. Every major city has one. And I wasn't there because I had other things to take care of. And Bruce thought the League could handle it.""He didn't tell you? About an attack on your own city?" Bruce really is different now. Unless you just don't know him well enough."Batman has never been about looking good. Just doing good. And the old man thought I could do more good stopping the Jokerz crew from distributing Venom to street toughs. He calculates. It's what he does. And he was right, the League handled it."As far as you know, Bruce is calculating. But from what Dick has told you. He calculates so that he can do the right thing, always. Not for efficiency's sake alone. You're only more sure now. You can't let Bruce become this. Seeing him with someone like Dick made you realize that he was more than an urban legend or a mysterious member of the JL. That he could be something really damn dark if it weren't for the people around him.>Continued
>>2414641You don't say anymore on the subject but instead take a look around. Ted always said in training. Not recognizing your surroundings could mean the difference between life and death in a fight. And in this case. Your surroundings are an destroyed city. An old warzone. There are old corpses every now and again. Most of them skeletal. Been here for a long time. Others, not so much.Looks like Roy ain't the only one surviving out here. Everyone's been vague with you on purpose, but you can piece together enough. This is the contested zone. So that means there's such a thing as enemy territory. Which means, there may be some type of war going on, just like Roy said. You're not even sure you wanna know who these New Humans are. It's almost eerie how quiet they are in a fight. They hurt like anyone else if you use enough force but they don't say a damn word.As a group, you all move easily under cover of dusk. It'll be dark soon, but the three of you move with practiced ease. You're powers make you damn near silent and you're sure Terry's suit helps but Roy works on pure skill and experience. You all work your way through building after building, trying to avoid going on into the open. You feel a little bad about having to leave a half destroyed Batwing behind. But Terry assures you he can have new transport come get him later. After about two hours of travel, Roy signals for everyone to stay quiet and moves up to look ahead. He's got a high collar and a sort of shoulder cape attached to his. He floats midair, perfectly still. As if he were just standing on the air. Eyes closed. Roy holds up a device similar to the phone you borrowed from the drunk guy. It reads. "Officer. More difficult but there's only one. He takes each one again and again but even you can feel his bones creaking under your fists. He's finally had enough. Probably just slows him down. Which is exactly what you want. You take the experience from your last fight with these guys to heart and go all in. You fake him out with an uppercut and disperse before you make contact, causing his own counterattack to whif through your body. And when he whifs, you hit, shoving you thumb into his eye. He screams for the first time. The pain overshadowing their weird quiet discipline. And you grab his head, and launch your knee into his face as hard as you can.He takes the hit like a champ but you've got him on the ropes. As long as he doesn't land a counter you could wear him down over time. But luckily, you've got teammates, you don't need time. Not anymore.Terry recovers form the hold he was in and returns the favor. Holding him up. "Arsenal! Now!"That glint appears again for the barest moment. From a different building this time. The arrow that comes flying through is not what you expect though. It sticks to his chest, and releases this strange gel all over him. Then the eyes on Batman's cowl begin to glow. He releases a burst of electricity from his suit so intense that you have to shield your eyes. And part of you wants to cover your ears so you don't have to listen to the guy scream. When Terry is done with him. His suit is kinda scorched, and he hangs limp in his arms. Terry checks for a pulse and breathes a sigh of relief when he catches it. He motions for you to follow and you and Terry follow behind him into the stairs the new human was guarding."Cheat?" Batman says incredulously. "What're you getting at?" As you enter the more pure darkness of the subway tunnel, the eyes and bat-symbol on Batman's chest light up dimly. It's honestly a little creepy. It's the only part of him you can see."Nothing. "We figured this would keep an intruder on their toes. C'mon."You keep following through the door and this time you're greeted by an almost clinical smell. The smell of metal and harsh cleaning chemicals. Reminds you of mom's lab. Reminds you of mom, really. When you reach the end of that hall you find yourself staring down a huge set of metal doors. You get ready to trey and slip into it's cracks but Roy stops you. "Don't bother, I got the key. Besides, you wouldn't make it through."He presses a long series of buttons on his arm, then, shoves it into a receptacle on the wall. You hear something metallic click and the doors begin to open, showing at least several more layers. Finally, you all enter a large circular room. It's exactly what you expected from the smells outside. It's a lab. There's machinery and equipment everywhere. Roy strolls inside and whistles hard. "C'mon out! Guest of honor is here!"Part of you instinctively prepares for a fight when you hear the sounds of incredibly heavy footsteps coming your way.
