Chaos engulfed the skies and landscape of Horizon's Drop. A cloudless day's peace shattered by the cacophony of warfare, the screaming of fightercraft and flying Reconstructed alike as they fought in fierce duels that rained shrapnel, fire, and broken bone below. The Osjiic Empire had sent their swarms of fighters and dropships spreading across the world in their approach to the throne city of Iti'a'Ropku, their pilots forced to contend with Nails, deadly aerial Reconstructed and the very anti-air defenses they were sent to destroy. It seemed the Empire had sent some of the best they had to offer as the pilots clash with the seemingly endless undead forces. They struck at missile silos with explosives of their own and attempted to get close to the anti-orbital Lances that pierced the sky with beams of indigo Arclight. They even attempted probing attacks at the numerous fortresses and bases that dotted the landscape.Yet it was another target that demonstrated the cruelty of the Empire as a group of fighters and dropships chase and harass a herd of osogo they encountered. They swoop down low, weapons opening fire near the panicked herds as they charge in desperation. Several straggler osogo are shot down, their pained bleating filling the air as they are left behind. The Matron clutches at the dreamstone in her grasp as she runs, desperation filling her as another of the elderly is taken down.Another scream fills the air then as the fighters are scattered by a cloud of Devils and Drakes, Gunships and Nails racing in to pick off the disorganized fighters. The herd moves toward a nearby copse of trees and take shelter cowering under the nearly bare branches as they watch the chaos unfold above them. Already the burning wrecks of the imperial fighters fall to the hardpacked plains.A bleating of alarm ripples through the herd as a group of ships race toward them but a thought ripples out from the Dreamstone into the Matron, a calming impulse she calls out to silence the herd. They watch as the ships are seen to be Coffins that decelerate nearby and quickly drop off their cargo as Crawlers detach from their underside. The large undead move in near silence, powerful limbs kicking up dirt with each step as they position themselves around the cowering herd. The powerful weapons attached to their armored backs opening fire upon any osjiic ship that strayed too close. From the shadows of the trees the Matron watches in awed silence as the undead stand guard over them, the members of the saved herd recognizing that these new guardians were made in their image and they knew then that the Armada would protect them.

Relief came to the Armada in the form of a fleet of Reconstructed and Obsidianborn warships sent from the neighboring Bastion system led by Punisher Muic eager to redeem her defeat in the distant Throne system. On and near the moon the Empire continues to target the Void Temple sending members of their elite Deathshead Guardians, an order of Void powered Undead, to battle against the Disciples of the Armada's Voidknight Order. With Voidknight Jareth injured and forced to fall back from the battle the Disciples continue on in his place to prove their worth. In order to give the Disciples a fighting chance to stand against the Deathshead and their soldiers Necromancer Jor has been joined by the Arc Disciple Orvca and the Ahkam trio led by Vle'Karak. Now as the world of Horizon's Drop spins and dusk approaches the city with the invaders the war upon its moon continues.

>>2246379The tunnels shook and rumbled with the battles above and the disruptions caused by the sphere of Void energy drilling down toward them. The broad tunnel that the Deathshead aimed for had been prepared, barricades thrown up and mounted guns assembled, trained on the shower of dust that had been falling from a spreading spider web of cracks in the ceiling. Reconstructed were packed tight, newly created and feral they waited and snarled in the darkness. Among them shimmered the translucent forms of hidden Vipers and Savages, the Arc powered undead eager to feast upon the Void corrupted flesh and bone.Further back in the tunnels the three Void Disciples stood with their weapons in hand, waiting for the moment they fought to determine the future of the Voidknight Order. They exchanged no words, only silently standing guard after learning of Jareth being shot down. They knew what must be done, to hold the line and break the advance upon the Temple. Through the song of the Void that hummed beneath all things they could nearly hear the approach of their Disciple siblings approaching.Voidknight Jareth and the other Disciple that had joined him were merely the first to arrive, traveling sooner and faster than the approaching fleet dispatched by Lorgul from B'Nan. With their siblings engaged in a brutal duel far above them they knew they just had to hold out until the fleet could arrive and drive these invaders from the system.Their attention was drawn away from their silent meditation upon the Void as an alert ripples through the psionic link all Reconstructed shared. The attack by the Arc Disciple, the Ahkam, and Jor had commenced above them and the Reconstructed in the tunnel report that the ceiling was starting to bow and cave from the drilling energy. They grip their weapons tight and steel themselves in preparation for this fight. How should the Void Disciples handle this invading force of Deathshead Guardians and Voidsingers?>Write-in
>>2246507Draw them further inside the temple, divide them and engage them alone. Use the knowledge of the terrain in our favor.
>>2246507The Deathsheads and Voidsingers are probably masters of AOE attacks(on account of their void powers). Use harassing attacks, get them to expend as much of their energy against less densely packed reconstructed so that when our Knights engage them, they will have tapped more of their energy. In other words, make them walk waistdeep in quicksand and have their upper bodies go through a thornbush.

>>2246916The tunnel ceiling finally shatters under the enormous strain of the sphere of turbulent energy ripping through the stone and armored plating. Clouds of dust fill the tunnel and blur the vision of the Reconstructed but as the sphere pierces through into the tunnel proper the dust is propelled away to reveal it spinning and pulsing with ultraviolet light. It drops suddenly, much harder than an object of its weight should in the low gravity, from the hole and strikes the floor. It digs into it a few inches before the sphere detonates in a wave of destructive Void energy that rushes down the tunnel. The first few lines of Reconstructed hunkered behind the nearest barricades are torn apart, several dozen simple and new minds wiped out in a moment as the others are scorched and thrown back.In the aftermath of the sphere the tunnel was blasted out from its impact, barricades knocked over or bent at severe angles and mounted weaponry twisted and warped beyond recognition. Voidflames licked and smoldered off piles of pulverized Reconstructed bone and muscle, with many other Reconstructed slowly picking themselves up sporting their various injuries and fractures.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ-6V-OZ4g8Shortly after the sphere detonates the first intruders drop down, heavily armored Voidsingers wrapped in warped light falling in with their jump-packs. They open fire as soon as they spot the hordes of undead waiting for them who begin to return fire. Those first to touch down charge forward several meters down both ways, dropping their weapons to hang by straps at their sides as they throw their hands forth and a shimmering wall of shifting Void energy appears before them. The Void shield ripples and pulses with each kinetic round and energy bolt that strikes it and is consumed by the voracious energy, protecting the others that drop down behind them. An occasional round or bolt manages to break through and wound them but their barrier holds long enough for the four Deathshead, their Voidsingers and elite soldiers to land. The fifth was above, currently locked in combat with the Arc Disciple as the Ahkam and Jor slaughter those left above. Those soldiers that had joined without the spark of the Void burning away their flesh line themselves up with their heavy reinforced shields and weaponry but hold their fire while several toss more of the spherical drones that begin scanning the tunnels from behind the Void shield. The Voidsingers and Deathshead however move to the barriers and either join in to reinforce the shield or begin opening fire with Void based weaponry. Bolts of Void energy streak out of the barriers to strike the barricades and Reconstructed that pop out to open fire, detonating in small explosions of the volatile force that shatters and warps.>cont
>>2247407The Voidsingers begin their march, moving down the tunnel in the direction of the Temple and where the Reconstructed were most densely concentrated. Their destructive barrage and near impenetrable defense allowed them to march inexorably, breaching barricades and gunning down Reconstructed. Several times either the Voidsingers or the Deathshead throw sphere of the ultraviolet energy that either detonate into explosions of deadly force or reverse the local gravity, sending the Reconstructed floating out of their cover and into the fire of the invaders. Those protecting their behind try to hold their position at the drilled hole to ensure a proper escape route but they nearly break as packs of Talons and Lurkers charge down the tunnel. They either crash against shields both physical and Void or are shot down but hiding among the ranks the Arc Vipers throw themselves at their line, snapping and clawing like feral beasts in their attempts to ravage Void corrupted osjiic in their predatory hunger to consume them. Finally the osjiic advance manages to push the Reconstructed back to a major junction of several tunnels in a large chamber. Firing lines were established behind deployed walls, several of them the flickering blue of hardlight energy while others were formed from repurposed railcars. The osjiic invaders push the undead back while walking over the shattered and burning remains of the slain, but as they continue several of their number begin to find the lack of Arc powered undead hindering them suspicious. There was a bellowing roar then, echoing through the airless tunnels that startle those Osjiic with the Voidflame in their bones, the roar felt through the Void rather than heard. They whirl upon the tunnels that joined the junction and begin opening fire upon the beacons of Void energy that were rapidly approaching from different directions.Voidflame leaks from their tusked maws as they roar once again, charging on all fours with knuckles digging grooves into the ground with each bound. The vaguely humanoid undead burst forth from the darkened tunnels as they charged for the osjiic group, a trio of newly crafted Void Juggernauts bearing down upon them. The Void and kinetic weaponry striking them ricochet or shatter upon striking their heavily armored forms. At the command of a Deathshead the group scatters partially as the juggernauts charge into their line, a toss of a head sending several osjiic flying back to collide with their comrades or into the waiting claws of the Reconstructed. One continues its charge, throwing soldiers too slow to avoid it as it plows through their line and tramples several underfoot. The others rear up on their stout hind legs, the tall ceiling of the chamber letting the large Reconstructed stand up as they swing their heavy fists and claws at the osjiic.>cont
>>2247413They had been newly crafted upon the start of the invasion the day prior, the highly advanced and deadly undead lacking even ranged weaponry in their rush to have them defend the Temple. Their physical might was more than enough to make up for it in the confined space of the tunnels, their fists leaving craters with smears of black blooded gore and crumpled armor. Blasts of roiling Voidflame are belched forth and wash over them, more of a distraction and annoyance to the Deathshead and the strongest of the Voidsingers but a deadly all consuming attack against the unpowered soldiers. They were not alone however as the ranged attacks resumed on the invaders as the Juggernauts wade through their numbers. Powerful blasts of Void weaponry rip into them, forcing the scattered soldiers to turn and defend against the advancing line of Void Centurions marching behind lines of Stinger shieldbearers.Above them the distorted forms of the Arc Savages dive in among the carnage, their Arclight displacing the image of their forms but their wicked scythes were all too real as they carved through osjiic armor, flesh, and bone. The swooped and dove in, targeting the Voidsingers and the soldiers in their manic assaults, the flash of Arc lightning joining the dazzling discharges of Voidlight.A Deathshead Guardian takes their large warhammer and swings it, the spiked head knocking back the hand of a Juggernaut as it made snatching grabs at him while Voidflame spewed from its jaws. The Deathshead back up under the assault but a sudden looming presence makes them spin around with a shout and swing but it was too slow as the vast hand of a Juggernaut closes around it and with a mighty heave throws the Guardian down one of the tunnels like a child throwing a stone.Tumbling through the air and bouncing off the tunnel ceiling they came to an abrupt halt with a burst of Void energy and they fall to one knee. The densely armored Deathshead snaps their head up and barely manages to dart back to avoid the downward swing where their head had been a moment before. The Voidbone club strikes the ground with a small explosion of energy, the Centurion lifting the weapon to strike again but with a burst of gravitic force they were thrown back against the nearby wall then yanked back toward them. With a similar swing the Deathshead crumples the simple helm of the Centurion and snuffs out its Voidflame with a single blow as it lay in a broken heap at their feet.>cont
>>2247419They turn to make for the junction and face off against the Reconstructed when they pause suddenly and turn. Their grip tightens around the handle of their hammer as they stare at the Void Disciple standing before them, shield and morningstar in hand flanked by several other Centurions. The Deathshead takes their hammer and slams the head into the ground before them, both hands resting on the pommel before they bow deeply, their voice reaching through the Void rather than the airless passage, <May this battle bring glory to the Empire and enrich my Flame.>Straightening they take their hammer in hand and assume a ready stance, the Disciple moving into a ready position as well. They could both sense their comrades and siblings beginning their own duels as the Disciple clacks and grinds their teeth, <The Void sings today, joyous and enraged. >>2247426Two of the Disciples clashed with the Deathshead in separate areas, isolated by the disruption caused from the undead Juggernauts attack. Voidlight flashes with regularity as their weapons strike against each other or bounce and scrape against shields, the ripples of force felt even in the airless chamber. Reconstructed clustered around them, Centurions and Arc undead forming a ring around them that keep the surviving Voidsingers and soldiers from reaching them.A third Deathshead battles against a Juggernaut with a handful of the Voidsingers working in concentrated effort to keep it off balance and unable to pin one down. Each time it would come close to snatch up or splattering one of the osjiic they would strike from its blindside or at the grasping hand and its rage was swelling. Voidflame flared from its maw and jetted from vents in its armor as its reactor surges with power, the very light around it distorting with the building energy. This forces the Deathshead to expend its own energies as its armored form was engulfed with Voidlight, flames licking from the shattered portions of its visored helm were a mote of light glared with intense hatred. The final Deathshead Guardian had somehow managed to slip past the lines of Reconstructed with a small group of Voidsingers and soldiers, the group capable of bypassing the traps, sealed bulkheads and awaiting Reconstructed in only a matter of moments. They walked down the tall pillared hall of mirrored black glass that led toward the vast doors carved out of bone to depict the victories of the Voidknight Order. Deep within the mountains of Horizon's Drop the Deep Rot was furiously reviewing all memories of the tunnels in attempts to discover how they had managed to bypass over a kilometer in tunnels in barely a moment without notice. The defeat of Sub-Admiral Estkri and the Pirate clan, the ascension of the Disciple who defeated a Deathshead in a dogfight to become Voidknight Jareth, the conquering of the Andai and B'Nan systems, the creation of Gral the Void Titan among others detailed in constantly evolving depictions. Standing before this history of the Voidknight Order stood a lone Disciple with an accompanying group of Centurions that stood arrayed among the pillars, their weapons trained but silent upon the osjiic.Stopping in their approach where the Disciple was flanked by Centurions the Deathshead takes several steps ahead of the others. Halting they rest their hands on the pommel of the club banded in rings of dark metal and pulsing with Voidlight before them. With a similar bow they lower their head then raise it and reach up to remove their helm and hold it under their arm, revealing a mutated skull of an osjiic, gnarled with spined growths wreathed in the familiar flame of the Void.>cont
>>2247735They look up to the towering doors more than tall enough to accept even Gral, their voice rough through the Void, <Such a young Order but so many victories claimed already,> They look back down to the Disciple, <To be expected. To hold the Black Flame burning in your soul is to feel the need for conquest, ever-expanding, ever-consuming. That is what unites our Empire and your Armada.>Their club stays standing still as they motion toward the Centurions and Reconstructed around them, <Though your grand leader may be born of the Necrotic the Voidknights have been heart of its military, haven't you? The ones who urged the invasions against our Empire, driving us from Andai and B'Nan.>Taking hold of the club they don their helm and move into a ready stance, Voidlight rippling across their armor as their soldiers lift their own weapons and shields, <The Void sings of your Orders intent and the dead Lord whispers anew, reincarnated if our seers and oracles are correct. Our Emperor calls upon us to prove our worth, to show the galaxy that we are the true inheritors of the Void. Though it shames us, we must extinguish this thread before you become a conflagration!>Carrying no weapon the Disciple steps forth, the bulky gauntlets clenched at their sides, <The Void sing to us, beckoning vengeance upon those who desecrate the holy corpse of the Voidlord.>They assume their own stance, gauntlets lifted to the ready as Voidlight engulfs their form, <I care not what your Emperor demands, I will break you, even if the conniving Masked aid you this day.>With the time for words over the Disciple throws themself forward, punching with a speed betraying their size at the Deathshead who sidesteps with a quick downward chop of the club but the other armored gauntlet blocks it with a burst of energy. With another jab with a fist then a swing of a boot the Disciple attacks with a flurry of blows the Guardian fends off with their own series of parries and dodges.Their commenced battle seemed to set off the hostilities around them as the Reconstructed and osjiic invaders commenced their own fierce battle. Centurions and Trolls charged the gathering of osjiic who formed a shield wall around themselves, Voidsingers and elite soldiers clashing in vicious melee battles as the others exchanged fire over shields and behind pillars. Slug and energy bolt strike and ship away at the Void-polished walls and pillars, shards flying in the chaos. Both sides of the Void-infused fighters felt themselves invigorated this close to the radiant energies of the Void Temple saturating the area, the non-infused protected by specially crafted armors to fight alongside their nameless Voidsinger allies.>cont
>>2247738With each blow blocked or striking the ground or pillars around them the dueling Void powered undead warped the very fabric of gravity around them. Relying on sight would be a folly as the light twists and warps around them, obscuring and distorting their images to those observing their fight, forcing them to rely on their connection with the eternal song of the Void and the discordant notes that marked each others presence. All round them the Void infused undead and quasi-dead Voidsingers were slain in time, their internal flames saturating the chamber with the energies and gravity became strained throughout. Soldiers and undead find themselves lifting from the ground with ease or struggling against intense pressures, others forced to slide along the floor as if on steep slopes.Even in the other chambers where the other Deathsheads and Disciples dueled the saturating Void energy grew heavy with the expended attacks and slain foes. Bodies from both sides littered the floors as they fought their brutal conflict, the ground growing slick with black blood. The Deathshead fighting the Juggernaut swung a pair of hammers in a downward blow, the resulting explosion cracking through the armored forearm with the twitching hand falling to the ground. Bellowing out in a fury it swipes its other hand but the Deathshead charges forward with a burst of Voidlight and swings its hammers at the knee where it had struck several times before. One strike glances off the armor but the other connects and the knee buckles forcing the juggernaut to fall onto its broken forearm. With a burst of Voidlight and a shout they leap up then bring both hammers down with a might crack upon the chest of the large Reconstructed. The armor cracks as it falls back, dazed and heavily injured from the blow but the osjiic undead did not let it recover as they landed upon it. One hammer returning to its holster at their thigh they bring the other down with a two-handed strike upon the cracked armor then thrusts both hands into the widened rents. With Voidflame emitting from its broken visor they gave another shout and a great heave, tearing open the armor plating to expose the volatile reactor within. Once more it plunges it clawed fingers into the metal and with a bellow that nearly rivaled the juggernauts prior it hungrily begins to rip the energies from the reactor and undead until it fall sill, a drained husk.Rising to their feet with Voidflame engulfing their entire form now they take up their hammers and turn to face the pair of Juggernauts that began charging for them, their rage bellowed through the Void as they came to avenge the fallen Juggernaut. With another burst of Void energy they throw themselves forward, to strike at one of them only to be swatted out of the air toward the other but they manage to recover enough to kick off the swinging fist and leap swinging for the tusked maw.>cont
>>2247743Beneath the surface of the lunar surface the Disciples fought their fiercest battle yet, the Voidknight Orders next generation proving themselves and standing up where their predecessors could not.Far above the Voidship loomed, a dark blot against the stars as the other duels continued in a dance of destructive energy and vicious inertia. No ship remained unharmed in their battle, scars and broken weapons a testament to their conflict that continued to rage.Through it all, the Void sings and it is terrifying and glorious even as you listen, far removed but intimately aware.

>>2247854The common citizen of the Armada knows that Jadyk was involved with the final conflict with the Matriarch and that he is "recovering" from the battle but is intact and whole. Much of the populace knew of the Arc Surge and of the strength of regular Ahkam, leading them to view the entire conflict between Jadyk, who managed to survive as victor, and the Matriarch as an incredible event and accomplishment of the Armada and Jadyk himself.Particularly moved were those who were apart of the Ahkam Dynasty previously and the Stonestar living on Horizon's Drop. There was much celebration occurring and planned to continue once Jadyk returned before the osjiic interrupted the good mood..The Necrolytes know more like the fact that it's tied somehow to the Arc with the Arc Dancers and other elemental users and officers knowing its him attuning to it.The Blackscale were told that he is recuperating from the battle. Guir however learned the truth from the Necromancers sent to assist him concerning the Sunscale cloning project and perfecting the Reconstruction of the clones and has since passed the information along to the other two. >>2260744A hefty sprinkling of both
It is both a testament to the skill of the Disciple pilots and the technology and rituals that gave their ships their durability and strength. Tirelessly the undead elites chased and fought each other, weaving in and out of the grand battle between their respective fleets. Two pairs in their own powerful and nimble strikecraft tested their skills against each other in a violent dance that seemed to betray most laws of inertia and momentum. Gravity was a tool and a weapon, a plaything, for the Void Disciples and their Deathshead foes.Wounds had been inflicted upon them all, not one operating at full strength, but still they fought on with fierce determination. Many strikecraft and a number of sub-capitals had become victims of their cross-fire, their battle leaving broken fighters and heavily damaged ships in their wake of distorted light.Despite their seemingly equal skills they all knew that eventually one would make a mistake and possibly lead to the defeat of them and their partner. The Void screams with their battle, powerful weaponry enhanced by their own flames ripping across the emptiness between them, a violent song of battle and ritual that would echo through both their histories.Through it all the Voidship continued to hold silently above the moon even as it's protective fleet is steadily chipped away at. The reinforcements from the Bastion system were just joining, fresh Reconstructed and Obsidianborn fleets moving to the front to provide relief as the others move back to tend to damages and rearm themselves.Stone-hulled ships move into the conflict, their geokinetic weaponry still mostly unknown to the Empire, their railguns firing slugs that burst into sprays of molten metal and stone upon impact. Unfortunately the Void based weaponry strike far more effectively against the stone based armors than the Arc of the Dynasties weapons. However this does not discourage the Obsidianborn and Stonestar commanding the ships even as they prepared to draw in for close range attacks and boarding actions.

>>2263373Through the Deep Rot a hasty psionic meeting was held, Punisher Muic conversing with Predator Eiton and the Solar Disciple to coordinate their efforts. Even the Warleader Caecet was kept informed with their massive treeship already in conflict as the vanguard against the force approaching the planet, the swarms of Thornships slowing the Empires advance. Their conversing was brief, each quickly assessing the situation and proposing where they could assist the best. With their roles decided their psionic call was cut and their attention focused once more on the battlefields.Their commands traveled with the speed of a Think Tanks thought, the fleets moving with their new strategies. The fleet directed by Muic moves to join the Treeships and the picket fleet already engaged with the attacking fleet, reinforcing the blockade with ships freshly repaired and rearmed. Obsidianborn warships, including a pair of their valuable battleships that looked like mountains ripped from the surface of their homeworld, open fire from long range, their unique geokinetic weaponry proving difficult for the osjiic ships to counter.Yet not all stay back as portions of the fleet separate and form up into flights that race forward toward the approaching wall of Imperial ships. Accelerating rapidly these groups, guided by the Solar Disciple, crash through the walls of strikecraft, missiles and weaponsfire, many falling but providing cover for the ranks behind them. These near suicidal strikeforces smash into the osjiic line to engage in fierce close range combats as ships pummel each other with broadside hits that were near impossible to avoid with swarms of strikecraft flying between them with their own vicious duels. With the chaos these attacks invoked the long range ships take advantage to focus on the largest ships as their shields fell. As Muic stood on the bridge of her Destroyer and the crew of Obsidianborn, hand-picked stonestar and Reconstructed tend to consoles to uphold her orders the Punisher watches the projected screen before her. Osjiic ships broke and fought back against the assault but even from this point she could see their assault had been halted for the moment. Her eyeless gaze drank in the sight, ignoring the statistics and reports, the casualties and projected trajectories for a few moments and just watched the void of space colored by the lights and fires of war. The blossoms of flames both mundane and ultraviolet marking the deaths of hundreds of osjiic soldiers thrown into her spears. There were the detonations in the sickly green of the Necrotic and fiery oranges that signaled the defeated Armada ships. To the Pyroclastic Punisher who had tasted defeat, nearly losing her unlife in this lesson, she knew that true death was only moments away from any entity that threw itself into battle.Teeth made of serrated obsidian glint as she grins, the newly repaired undead absorbing the beauty of it all for a few moments longer.>cont

>>2263581Bolstered by the reinforcing fleet from Bastion Eiton regroups his forces, new cloaked Arc powered ships joining his ravaged stealth force. The ships of Reconstructed bone and metal move with those formed of shaped stone, their numbers slowly spreading to surround the bulk of the Imperial fleet in its holding position over the Void Temple while cutting off and whittling away at stragglers and strays. Their constant assault caused the surface of the moon to be rained upon by wreckage and ruin, adding to the damaged shipyards and a new hazard for the osjiic and undead still battling on its surface. With their renewed ferocity and aboard a new and undamaged ship the Arc Predator strikes at multiple capital ships, the stealth fields failed as crackling bolts of Arc lightning leap out and rake across them with missiles launched as soon as the shields fail aiming for weaponmounts and shield generators. They raced at dangerous speed between the larger ships in the invaders fleet, their shieldless hulls racing within dozens of meters within their shields or hulls to confuse and hinder the targeting of their turrets.Eiton found himself relishing the battle, the dwindling Arc Surge allowing his ships to strike with a ferocity that was surely striking doubt and possibly even fear into the hardened hearts of the osjiic. He knew this conflict was born because of the sibling order of the Voidknights and respected the Disciples desires to prove themselves against the Deathshead. It was a desire he recognized very clearly, a desire he feels each time he fights with an Ahkam serpent or one of their Arc-powered champions. The desire to prove their own mastery over their element, and so he held back from joining them in their duel and distracted the warships from targeting the Disciples.Cracks began to form in the defensive wall of ships, more and more falling still and drifting or slowly falling to the moonscape below. Guided by the attentions of the Solar Disciple and Eiton the Armada focuses on these fractures, splitting at the defensive line steadily as attrition wears away at even the stalwart Empire.
>>2263641Under the surface of the moon where the tunnels shifted from the dull gray of armored walls and lunar stone to the Void polished black glass the Void Disciples continued their duels with the invading Deathshead Guardians. In the war torn junction where craters, warped metal, gore and pulverized bone mark the paths of battle.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kK3Pmv8tXsThe Deathshead that had slain one of the Juggernauts managed to cripple and nearly slay another before they themselves were brought low by the damaged but surviving member of the trio and the arrival of a multitude of Void attuned Dirges. Held down by a wide palm the telekinetic undead of dark, blood red crystal and bone apply immense pressure upon it as well as the Glutton crystal forming their cores frantically attempt to drain the near overload of dangerous Void energy the undead was generating within itself. Two of the Guardians that had initially been separated from each other managed to fight through and rejoin, gathering the surviving Voidsingers and veteran soldiers. They had forced the Disciples to fall back themselves and regroup momentarily before they resumed their duels, this time fighting side by side their partners. Detonations of Voidbone weapons striking each other or the ground flash and fill the dark cavern with ultraviolet light, chips of bone and metal flying off their armors in their frenzy. In the pillared chamber several tunnels over, before the histories of the Voidknight Order carved into the large door the battle was just as fierce. The Disciple could feel the skill of this Deathshead, somehow seeming to gain the aid of the Masked to arrive at their very literal doorstep, surpassed that of the other three as they desperately fought to hold off the flurry of their powerful banded club. Cracks and faults appeared in their heavy gauntlets inspired by the Arbiter Gauntlets of the Solar Order and in their armor but their fought on with single-minded determination.Their foe had their own wounds, slashes from their raking claws scoring their armor and even leaving gouges in their helm where they'd nearly torn it from their skull before being knocked back. Voidflame leaked from their armors, both wreathed in shimmering Voidlight and feeding the ambient energies already in the chamber.Gravity was just much a weapon for them as their fists and clubs, throwing each other across the chamber multiple times. After being thrown through a pillar that shatters the Disciple lifted themself up and retaliated by throwing the rubble at high speeds toward the Guardian, using it as a distraction to close the gap between them once more.>cont
>>2263785Around them the Centurions fought with the dwindling Voidsingers and Soldiers, the Void animated undead embolded and strengthened this close to the energies of the Temple. Several of the surviving osjiic began to think of retreat only to find the way blocked by a swarm of Reconstructed that eagerly drag them into their claws with Sting Whip or telekinetic grasp. They do not slay them however, many utilizing venoms to render them paralyzed or unconscious as they're dragged away through dark tunnels toward waiting med-pods and Domination Spikes for implanting. You could feel the build-up of the Void energy, drawing your drifting consciousness like a beacon to the Temple and the duels your would-be champions fought with all their might. The Void sings its chaotic hymn of conflict and its terrifying beauty. It was a familiar song to you by now, a dirge you had grown to appreciate long before you had learned to take it and make it apart of yourself. You watch and listen with pride as the Disciples of the Voidknights, above and below the lunar surface, hold their own and even begin to push back against their undead rivals.Another song, menacing and steady, draws your attention above toward the Voidship. It's song was fierce and strong, resonating with the one you knew to be the Deathshead 13 Ascendant Blade. Feeling the resonance of their power in the eternal Song you are struck by how similar it felt compared to your first General, your first child Lorgul. The Void sang through them both, promising conquest and devastation. You feel the attention then, the mind of the Deathshead turning toward your own presence in the Void, and for the briefest moments you feel their mind brush yours. The hatred had been expected, but the cold finality of it was surprising, but more so was the sense of awe and respect it revealed before you. Quickly their mind is sealed off from yours but you can still feel their presence through the Void.Your Void Disciples fought with steadfast determination, knowing that to fail would be to invite ruin upon all they held important. You suspect they can feel you through the Void, observing their progress and you can feel their renewed effort to make you proud.Roll me 1d100 best of first 3 to settle these duels once and for all

>>2263790The pair of Deathshead still dueling with the Disciples leap back a step and throw forth their free hands, a wave of roiling Void energy and gravetic force rippling away from them. The Disciples throw up their arms as the energy washes over them, tearing at them but leaving hardly more than a few scorches. However their Reconstructed reinforcements suffered the full brunt of the blast, Talons and Stingers torn apart as Trolls and Arc Vipers and Savages are thrown back and scattered. They rushed ahead in the wake of their attack and strike at the Disciples who nearly fail to deflect or block their blows and are driven back toward the pinned Deathshead and collection of Dirges. The trapped undead struggled mightily against the juggernauts grasp and the telekinetic might of the motionless undead surrounding them. Void energy rolled off them in waves, licking like flames against the surrounding Reconstructed but the Glutton crystal cores glowed bright as they did their best to consume the force safely.Crowding closer the Dirges loom over the Deathshead as they drink in the nearly overwhelming forces that they emitted. Its fury seemed to grow with every passing moment until finally it begins barking out curses in an ancient osjiic dialect that the Think Tanks have trouble translating. As it's curses rang out through the airless chamber one of the Dirges looming over it is suddenly shattered and breaks with a spray of released Voidflame and broken crystal as a Voidbone hammer is thrown through it.The other Deathshead that had thrown their weapon is slammed into by a Disciples shield, a spiked morningstar swinging down to shatter their arm at the elbow. They raised the weapon for a finishing blow but they were forced to swing up their shield to block a strike from the other Guardian. With their chain momentarily broken with the shattering of the Dirge the pinned Deathshead reacts, outstretching a hand then clenching it shut with a fist. A moment later their discarded hammer spins through the air and fractures the skull of another Dirge as it returns to their grasp. With a bellow of fury they swing their free arm with the hammer wreathed in Voidlight into the Juggernauts arm with a powerful explosive blast that knocks back the ring of Dirges that float and clatter into each other. The Void Juggernaut reels back as portions of their blasted limb and armor are scattered when it staggers back before catching itself. Rising to their feet with a burst of Voidlight the Deathshead recalls their other lost hammer to itself and spins, releasing the weapons and two more Dirges are shattered, their contained energies expelled violently. Chanting with almost a maddened frenzy they call their weapons back to hand and spin as they feel the approach of the Juggernaut and lift up their arms and cross the hammers barely in time as the giant Reconstructed brings their fist down with a powerful punch.>cont
>>2264484The blow, reinforced by the Void core overcharging the Reconstructed, detonates like a missile that washes out from the pair. A split moment later a secondary and stronger detonation roars out as the armor and body of the Guardian finally break under the strain of the battle and their own overcharged energies. The Juggernaut is thrown back, portions of its armor blasted away and its mind flickers dangerously but many of the other undead and osjiic soldiers around them were not so lucky.Voidflame fills the chamber as the Deathshead is broken and their energies released, washing over Reconstructed, osjiic, Disciple, and Guardian all. The wave of destruction washes through the nearby tunnels that served to focus and funnel the destructive energy. It even races all the way back to where the osjiic had punched through to the tunnels, a great column of Voidflame bursting from the pit and throwing the derelict coffins and dropship wreckages that had been dumped inside. The signal of energy drew the attention of both the Arc Disciple and the Deathshead she dueled, both pausing in their battle atop a faction that was nearing collapse. The moment of distraction was brief as they turned and renewed their conflict, the Disciple fighting with a renewed concentration to finish off this foe and reach the tunnels to provide aid to her allies below. With a feint of a sickle the other swings down, spearing into the wrist of the hand holding a Voidbone club and twists, forcing the undead to release its grip and catch the weapon in its other hand and swing to force her back once more.Below the lunar surface at the doors of the Temple the other pair of dueling undead pause their own battle as they feel the detonation of Void energy and the fading of their allies minds. They look to each other then, standing among the ruins that had become the chamber. The Deathshead glances around, realizing only a handful of Voidsingers and soldiers managed to hold a tight knot where they fended off the Centurions and Arc powered undead leaving only them and the brutal Disciple.<I will not fail, not here> they reach a hand to their armor and into a compartment under their heaviest plating of the chest that had sustained many new dents and scratches. The Disciple tenses, their gauntlets raising cautiously as they feel a distortion in the Void as the osjiic undead pulls forth something from within.Grasped within their fist the Disciple catches a glimpse of polished bone that distorted the light around it as they lift it before them, their body wreathing itself in Voidflame spreading from whatever they held in their grasp, their voice resonating through the Void, <I claimed this piece of calcified Void where the Guardian that last held my name had been slain, salvaging it from the ashes where they had slain a Void-blessed Sunscale. It is their gift to me and a promise that the Empire is superior to all that challenge us!>>cont
>>2264487As their rage flowed into the Void it spread like a ripple of violent destruction that washes out from them, rivaling the blast of the broken Deathshead moments before. The Disciple throws up their arms in a vain attempt to defend themself as they're thrown back. Striking a wall that spiderwebs out with cracks at the impact, the wave tossing the remaining Reconstructed and osjiic forces to the ground.Turning their gaze from the Disciple that fell to their knees to the vast doorway before them they lift the calcified Void before them and another blast of concentrated Voidflame and gravetic force rips forth and slams into the doors. Portions of the carved histories shatter and fall, large cracks spreading through the doorway. Rearing back they thrust their first forward once more and strike with another blast that blows away more of the carvings and bends inwards.Their vision swaying the Disciple looks up, barely able to concentrate on the Deathshead that stood there with Voidflame licking off their form as they attempted to batter their way through the gates to the Void Temple. The Disciple felt many of their bones fractured from the battle and that destructive wave, not expecting such a potent artifact to be in the Deathsheads possession.Despair begins to seep into them as they watch their Temple nearly breached, failing in their duty to defend it. Shame wells up inside, the undead thinking how easy it would be to succumb to the energies roiling through the chamber rather than face the disappointment of Lorgul and Jadyk. They nearly gave up then, but there was something, a whisper in their bones through the Void.<Fight on! The Black Flame does not extinquish this easily! Prove yourself!>Roll me 1d100 best of first 3 please

>>2264492https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CGMk_roNaECasting the thoughts of failure and defeat from their mind the Disciple pushes themself up to their feet and braces as their vision clears. Removing their partially crumpled helm, the horns twisted into a lopsided mess, they toss it to the side, their distorted skull wreathed in the Voidflame as motes of light shone in empty sockets and from behind the cracks in the bone. They knew their strength was dwarfed by this Deathshead with that artifact revealed and bolstering their might, but they no longer let that bring doubt. Emboldened by the whispered encouragement the Reconstructed lieutenant dashes forward and around a partially collapsed pillar. Chunks of rubble scooped up by ripples of Voidlight and telekinetic force are propelled at the Deathshead, landing near it or striking with but insufficient force to stagger them.Turning the osjiic glares through the damaged faceplace of their helm and cast their fist forth along with another ripple of force and flame. Throwing themselves into a roll the Disciple barely manages to avoid the attack and dives behind a pile of rubble. As the Deathshead manifests a sphere of Void energy spinning above their other palm, club resting upright next to them, they rear back to toss it forth but a flicker of Arclight causes it to jerk their head in surprise.A duo of damaged but still mobile Arc Vipers threw themselves at the Deathshead who cast the sphere at one in startled reaction. The blast engulfs one as it strikes, the energies tearing apart even the Arc powered undead and throws back the other. It scrabbles to its feet and quickly throws itself forward again. The Deathshead raises their hand engulfed with Voidflame for another strike but the moment before they fling it forth a bent, half-fragmented thermal spear taken from a fallen Talon wreathed in similar ultraviolent flames strikes and embeds itself in the palm of the outstretched hand.Distracted by the spear now lodged into their palm they look to where the Disciple had thrown it from, now charging headlong toward them. This allowed the surviving Viper to lunge forth, nested jaws spread wide before latching down onto the forearm of the hand that held onto the relic. Saw-like teeth tear and gnash at the armor, Arc energy searing and seeping into the undeads limb like a fiery venom that makes them bellow out in anger and pain. The Viper gnaws and rips with their pharyngeal jaws even as the powerful Voidflame scorch and discolor their form the longer they clawed and chewed upon them. Their claws tore and ripped at the undead who clenches their other hand into a tight fist, crumpling and snapping the spear in its grip as it brings it down repeated on the armored skull of the undead latched onto them.>cont
>>2264638By the fifth resounding blow the Viper lets go as the armor crumples and caves in a portion of its skull but by the time they toss the broken undead from their maimed arm the Disciple was upon them. With a running punch wreathed in Voidlight they struck the already damaged faceplate of the Deathshead to knock the helm from its head. An uppercut from its other fist nearly dislocates the jaw and sends several broken fangs scattering. With a burst of Voidlight they lift their heavy boots up and kick out with both legs, throwing the Deathshead careening back from the flurry of blows.Boots scraping against the stone floor the Deathshead remained on their feet but staggered and swaying. The Disciple barely touched the ground before they bounced back up and returned to their feat and charged forth. With a snarl the Deathshead steadies itself and snaps its gaze of similar burning flames to its foe charging toward them.Hand outstretched their club that still stood upright where it had been left snaps forth and flies toward their master past the Disciple racing toward them. Yet as it sailed past, handle first, toward the osjiic undead the Disciples hand darts out in the sliver of a second to snatch the handle and with a mighty scream and twist of their body take hold of the club and bring it swinging around. The detonation of Void energy that erupts when the stolen weapon strikes the temple of the Deathshead nearly throws back the Disciple. However they quickly regained control as the Guardian falls to one knee from the strike and the Disciple takes the club into both hands above them and brings it down with a blow that leaves distorted motes of light in its arc as they themselves bellow into the Void.Striking the collarbone of the staggered warrior the supernaturally dense weapon caves in the reinforced and technologically advanced armor and shattering the ribcage within. Like striking a note off a bell a ripple of force rings out sending the Disciple staggering back and struggling to stay standing while those surviving osjiic and Reconstructed were knocked down once more. However, the Disciple remained standing with the stolen weapon held in their grasp as they looked to their opponent. Kneeling in a crater smashed into the ground before the fractured, but still holding gateway into the Temple, the Deathsheads arms hung loose at its sides. The ultraviolet flames that wreathed their skull and shown from the vast rent torn into their armor was a weak ember compared to the inferno it had just been.Laying several feet in front of it was a chunk of organically shaped bone that rippled with Voidlight of its own, polished to a darkened hue that refracted the light into strange unknown hues.>cont
>>2264642The Disciple steps forward and kneels, hesitating as they reach out but then plucking the relic from the ground. The chunk of strange bone resonates powerfully with the song of the Void, the Disciple already feeling somewhat refreshed holding the claimed artifact. With a deep sigh of relief they turn to where the remaining Centurions knelt with heads bowed toward them, the remaining osjiic invaders subdued or slain. Gripping the object the Deathshead had called calcified Void in one hand and the other the stolen club the Disciple turns their mind to the reawakening minds he detected within the war-torn chamber.Void Centurions supported by newly crafted Reconstructed reflood into the chamber to assess the damages and aftermath of the violent end of the Deathshead. They swept in, sensors scanning the chamber rich with Void energies that lingered with bonfires of ultraviolet flame consuming piles of bone and metal.Almost no movement was detected as they honed in on the signals of the remaining Disciples and found them within the smoke and flame filled chamber. They stood, if shakily and damaged, before the pair of Deathshead Guardians. Both knelt side by side with their hands clasped in their laps, their weapons cast aside. The Disciples were not sure what to make of their seeming surrender, having regained awareness to find the pair already in these positions. The Centurions and Void attuned Dirges moved into form a perimeter around them as domination shackles, similar in make to the collars the Ahkam prisoners wore, were secured around their wrists and necks without resistance.Despite their heavy injuries, both Disciples caught in the blast nearly destroyed and barely standing, their confusion swiftly changed to relief as they realize that somehow, they had managed to survive. That somehow they had managed to snatch victory from the jaws of near certain defeat, even at a cost.>The assault on the Void Temple by the Deathshead striketeam has been defeated!Gained>3 Deathshead Guardians prisoners>8 Elite Voidsingers>Calcified Void Fragment
