Stepping down the ramp you could almost feel the hangar stop as you step out and towards the hall. You hated to admit it, but there was always at least a small part of you that enjoyed when people first caught a glimpse of you in full kit. Since the time of the Mandalorian Wars there was a mystique and subtle fear towards those who donned their signature armor. And today was no exception. Making your way to the hall you see a young looking man snap to attention before blocking your progression.“Are you Daxter?” He asks, his voice surprisingly steady as you look down at him through the unfeeling visor of your helmet, most kids would have crawled out of their skin. “I am.” You reply, your voice more tinny as it came out of the headsets speakers.“Commander Dameron informed me of your request and I’m here to escort you.” He all but orders. You nod, stepping in line with the teen as he leads you towards further into the ship. You’re impressed, however compared to many of the other ragtag soldiers you had met the blonde haired teen was much younger.“How old are you? You seem a bit young to be in this sort of line of work.” You observe and he all but jumps in surprise. “Nineteen, Sir.” He answers.“I’m surprised, you’re actually of age.” You reply dryly.“Luke Skywalker was the same age and he took out the Death Star.” The teen argues.“Pretty convenient reasoning but I don’t believe you, kid.” “You can believe what you want, and I have a name you know!” He replies sharply, and through the Force you can feel his frustration rising.“You never gave it; You knew mine but you did not introduce yourself.” You point out and you feel the frustration quickly turn to embarrassment.“Corran, Corran Horn.” He reveals meekly, the first time any sort of shy behavior had come from the teen. You go to speak but Corran takes a sharp left and a pneumatic door slides open to reveal a wide clearing. It is about one hundred feet by sixty feet and maybe thirty feet tall. If you had to guess the room was for hand to hand training given the padding and racks of padded weapons and fake rifles for drill. You also see a grouping of eighteen various individuals, including Rey and Poe himself. Here we go. >How do you want to proceed? (Pick Two)>A. Have Corran join the group and proceed in talking to them about your plan for training them.>B. Start with Rey, best way to show dominance to a new group is to beat their leader.>C. >>2212090“You know Commander, most commanders lead from the back. Unless of course you are planning on simply watching your men here suffer?” You ask, folding your arms.“Before I was a Commander I was a pilot, Daxter. I’m here for the same reason as the others: training.” He assures.“I’ll hold you to it.” You promise as you feel the young Corran leave. However before he can make it to the door you turn to him.“I didn’t dismiss you, Horn.” You warn him before nodding your head towards the rest of the assembled troopers. “You’re not my Commanding Officer.” The teen snaps back, continuing toward the door before you grab him by the back of his uniform before pulling him back. Practically dragging him as you walk towards the rest of the assembled soldiers.“Your Commanding Officer here made a contract for training. Because your C.O was smart enough to realize your ragtag alliance does not have the numbers to fight the First Order. Even on the small scale.” You explain to each of them, and you can see a number of them tense up as you tell them the reality. “By your reactions a few of you recognize that I’m right. However I’m here to change that.” You promise, letting go of the teen and continuing to pace in front of the group. “I’ve been tasked with making you the best of the best, and I can do that because I am Ori’ramikad: A Mandalorian Supercommando. I have been training to fight and conduct war since I was ten, and like all Mando’ad it is in my blood.” You say, giving your pseudo credentials.“This room is now my domain, anyone who steps foot into it so long as i’m in it you’re bound to my word. Am I understood?” You bark and a number of people bark out a ‘yes sir!’, Rey as you imagined remains silent.Looks like you really had to deal with this stubborn girl.>But how?>A. Rolled 14 (1d20)Let’s see how this goes. Time to see with the power of dice
Just want to take a moment and ask if there is a discord for this quest as i didn't see any info in the OP.
>>2212295Standing in front of Rey you stare for a few seconds, challenging her resolve to remain stoic. After a few seconds of this treatment it’s evident that she believes that her status among the other troopers made her above your command. Then again from what little you knew of the girl perhaps she just didn’t know how these things work. “I asked you a question, miss.” You say slowly. “And I don’t agree with your assessment.” She starts, stepping out of line to approach you. “I am a Jedi, the Force is my guide.” She assures you.You internally sigh as the old excuse of ‘The Force’ shows up. Even the most cursory reach out with the Force and you can feel her expectation of you. She thinks that because she can use the Force and calls herself Jedi you’ll be afraid.Clearly she didn’t know the history of the Mandalorians.Without warning you slap her across the face and you can feel her mind recoil at the impact. A trick you had been taught was that so long as you shielded your intentions or did not openly think your plans a Jedi’s precognition does not warm them. Seeing that she did not even react until after the blow had landed confirmed your fear: She was wholesale reliant on the Force and its abilities to protect her. “Did the Force tell you I would slap you? Or is it the ‘will of The Force’ that it worked?” You mock, and as much as her anger rises up to challenge you, your point has been proven. It is another tense few seconds before you hear her weakly mutter ‘yes sir’. After your urging a few times she says it audibly for the rest of the assembly and you smile. You could at least reach her, even if it took some work.“Now then, drop and give me twenty.” You order her and once again she looks shocked.“For what?!” She exclaims.“For disobeying a Commanding Officer. Would you like me to add another twenty?” You answer and she gives you another glare before beginning to do push-ups.As she does so you begin to outline what you’d be doing today. You needed to see where the group was as a whole before you can outline how you’ll be training them. That would be comprised of physical fitness, endurance, hand to hand, marksmanship. More specialized tasks such as demolitions and slicing could wait for once they were all suitably prepared. By the time you wrap up the basics Rey is on her feet. And now for the fun to begin. “Alright everyone, for the next fifteen minutes you’re going to be running this square.” You order before getting a few groans but otherwise everyone complies, including Corran. >Roll me 19D20’s; I’ll be taking the first five rollers

While you had never specified to any of them how hard or fast to run, eleven of them simply took off as close to a run as they were willing to go. Taking your blasters out of their holsters you dial the stuns down to nothing but a sting. Squeezing a few shots at those who were lagging behind you continued to think on just how Corran was leading the charge. You had a few theories but hearing a yelp from a Twi’lek female who was with the slower group breaks your focus.Continuing this pattern at shooting at the slower runners and making note of distances the fifteen minutes passes beneath the drums of footfalls. By the time you called time the group was winded and many of the slower runners were bowled over. You were impressed overall, however you speak up.“There are certainly a number of you who need to work on your speed and endurance, but that’s for s later day.” You note, looking over the more exhausted group before looking to the remaining Eleven. “The rest of you? However this time there were more than just the young Horn boy who had exceeded your expectations. This time both Rey and Poe joined him in having not only completed the exercise, but had finished it faster than their peers. You had to admit; You we’re both impressed and suspicious. On their first try they had managed to keep up with a routine You had been doing ever since you were adopted into the Mandalorian clans. Within a few minutes the whole ship is within your preview and already your fears are slightly confirmed. There are four Force signatures on the ship. Two you can rule out as Leia and Rey, as you had felt the signatures during your cursory examination the day before. >>2213188Posting from the sky You decide for now to keep the information away from them, at least until they were ready. While that also meant no doubt confronting the would-be Jedi about her revealing the information it would be worth it. For now they were only soldiers, and for now that was WELL within your knowledge. You spend the rest of your allotted free time, slowly stretching your metaphorical ‘muscles’ as you try to strengthen your weak bond to the Force. It would take some months to really be at a level you’d be comfortable with calling yourself a Knight in the old terms, you still had your instincts, reflexes and Mandalorian know how.Just as you’re starting to levitate one of the rifles you hear the door open and an audible gasp. A very...feminine gasp. Opening your eyes the rifle clatters to the ground as of course the Jedi herself stares back at you, equal parts surprise and excitement. “You’re Force sensitive!” She exclaims, before she seems to realize the volume of her voice and quiets down as she steps into the room. “I never thought I’d meet another person who could be trained, at least not so soon!” She clammors on.It is at this point where you hold up your hand.“No.” You say calmly. “This is great! I can train you and we can rest- what do you mean no?” She asks, her rant cut off before it could even begin.“I do not need your instruction.” You say bluntly, slowly getting to your feet. “B-but it’s there! That connection to the Force, it’s in you and you cannot deny that.” She points out, quickly using the force to pull the blaster you had been levitating to her as if to prove her superiority. You simply scoff. “I’m not denying that I can use the Force, Rey. I am denying that you could teach me.”“And what exactly makes you think that?” She demands.>Well?>A. You were trained before her, and you no doubt have a better grip of it, as weak as you are.>B. With a flick and hum the white blade of your saber explodes into view. She seems stunned by the fact that you have a lightsaber, and as she starts to back away you push your march faster towards her. “You ask to do many things, yet are barely able to handle one.” You finish, shutting you saber off and placing it back to its place. For a moment she’s quiet, and you can feel that you’ve certainly placed a rather large crack in her confidence; Or at least what little there was. You notice after a few seconds that her lip is quivering and you come to realize something. Before you wasn’t Rey, Last Jedi and confident fighter of the Rebel Alliance; At least, not anymore. In her place was Rey, the untrained, frightened and alone girl from a dustball in the outer rim. And you had just taken away the only bedrock of assurance she ever had. It’s evident the sudden softness was surprising to her as the Force swirls around her like a hurricane.“I know how you feel right now.” You say gently, squeezing her hand softly. “As if the whole galaxy has put its weight on your shoulders and you have no idea what you’re doing.” You continue, and you can feel her hand tremble as you continue to correctly assume her thoughts.“And worst of all you feel alone and there’s nobody out there who show you the way to go.” You say and you are surprised to feel her crash into your armor, clinging to you like the last mug of ne’tra gal in a bar. After a few moments slowly wrap your arms around her shaking, trembling form. “I was there, you know? When Ben...Kylo destroyed the temple.” You say quietly. “Me and a few others tried to stop him and the rest but he was too strong. Slashed me across the face and when I woke up...it was gone. The temple, the other padawans, Master Luke.” You continue, doing your best to ignore the pain and cold of the memory. “And I was right where you are now: Alone, afraid, and unsure of where my place was in life.” With everything you had said you step back from the girl and give her a tiny, slim smile. “You at least have one advantage over me: you won’t be alone.” You say with a surprising firmness, before walking back and readjusting your helmet. While a few still missed the mark, you chalk that up more to the stress; Though that could be a problem in the field in total 15 of your new recruits were capable of repeated accuracy, with more than half of that number meeting your expectations. Of course your three force sensitive recruits were even better, but that was no surprise. The real test was about to begin. You line everyone up and pair them off. Those who did poorly physically were paired off with their equal, and so on. By the end you were faced with none other than Rey. However, that was a planned action.Rey was too strong in the force to have any normal being compete with her. She followed the flow of the force with a naturalness that was almost scary. Any action or intention would be made an echo that for most would be imperceptible, however her strength and therefore sensitivity allowed her to act on them.It would take someone who could block out their intentions to keep pace, and you were the only one present. You could sense the nerves flaring in her, no doubt still frayed from the earlier talk. And seeing it you decide that perhaps it was time to test her mettle. After all one should strike when weakest to find true strength. The only question was do you up the ante?>Do you?>A. Yes>B.No

>>2215390You stand your ground, waiting for her to come to you. She was strong in her instincts but she lacked in technique, meaning that on the defensive so long as you could wither the assault you could find an opening and exploit it. It is a tense few moments as you wait but your patience pays off as she begins to cross the distance, saber raised high. And almost immediately you spot your opening. As the girl comes in with an overhand slash you bring your knife hand down, reaching out with your left hand to strike her in the chest. Feeling the wind knocking out of her lungs and hands loosening their grip you quickly chop your hand up and force her arms apart. Gripping the hilt as her hand starts to jerk up you flick the activator switch, the hilt catering harmlessly to the ground before jabbing the pommel of your vibroknife into her stomach to follow the first blow.Sliding your left hand up to her throat, you press the pommel back you step in, pressing your leg behind hers and forcing her down to the ground.Stepping back from her you start make space from her as she groans and slowly regains her senses. Her guard is much tighter this time as she comes in for a swing, forcing you to duck beneath it before immediately diving into a roll to avoid the follow up downwards strike. You had to wonder if she had ever used a sword before as you get to your feet swatting the blade away with the back of your gauntlet, sparks of electricity arcing along the saber resistant metal. You were lucky you didn’t skimp on the good stuff. She was clearly shocked at the fact that her blade had not taken her arm, and that would be her mistake. Stepping into her guard you again disarm her before using your weight to tackle her to the ground with a ‘slightly’ assisted leap. >>2216751We're too much of a perfectionist? That's totally a flaw!Still we couldn't be as bad as canon Rey or Revan/Vitiate.
>>2216751we are not interested in saving the galaxy, we will do enough to stop the force spooks bothering us
>>2216756I hope Yoda isn't a book burning Nazi in this quest. I don't want to gas the younglings and throw the holicrons into Yavin.
>>2216765Actually so far Yoda seems to acting like...Yoda.Like the actual Yoda, not the CGI puppet doing flips and shit we got in the prequels.
>>2216751you have one. You're literally weaker than a youngling in the force.
>>2216781>the CGI puppet doing flips and shitThe action was the most solid part of the prequels you cuck, is the Grand Master of the Jedi Order supposed to be weak? Also>acting like... Yoda>Destroys knowledge>The Jedi must end>Uses Force LightningYeah, that sure sounds like Yoda. Not more like Palpatine or anything. Nope, totally Yoda. >>2216802Yeah, but you can fix that by sucking Marka Ragnos' staff.
>>2216802A couple of months doing reps of X-wing lifts via force and we'll be right as rain...I think
>>2216815 that's the only weakness you know of so far. You've yet to go deeper into the character, my friends
>>2216815>is the Grand Master of the Jedi Order supposed to be weak?Fair point, I just feel like the undisputed grand master should be like the ultra pacifist if he's gonna throw hands.Like force only, not a lightsaber like every other Jedi.
>>2216847You can't really fight opponents of Dooku's or Palpatine's caliber with just the force.
>>2216802>>2216838So that brings up a question. How does one become stronger? Is there no way to achieve the level that someone who possess powerful innate force abilities, or is the force more akin to a muscle, one that can be stretched and strengthened?
>>2216860Apparently not in canon you can't.I still feel like it's not fitting for the elderly guru to be doing the acrobatic martial artist shtick, but that might just be nit-picking.
>>2216861It was described in the discord, the MC closed himself off from the force after he saw the temple burned, he just "opened up the gate" again, so it will take about a month or two to get back to the power of an old knight. So yes, the force is like a muscle, and ours has been atrophied for 25 ish years.
>>2216861It's impossible to increase the number of midichlorians you have, unless you're Darth Plagueis and even then he couldn't do that to himself, but you can grow closer to the Force. Obi Wan is a good example of this, he doesn't have a great connection with the Froce but he's so in tune with the Living Force that he could match Anakin and take A'Sharad Hett apart. There are artifacts that one can use to increase their power with the Force, but 90% of the time they're Dark Side. >>2216878Yoda couldn't handle Dooku with just the Force in Legends. And he certainly couldn't handle Palpatine, who was stronger than he was in the Force. Fighting someone just with the Force is a lot harder in Legends, almost every Force user has a passive resistance paired with precognition. Even General Grievous had limited precognitive abilities because of the computers slaved to his brain.
>>2216861It's hard to say.In the Cannon (Which for the Force I am WHOLESALE ignoring) its the medichlorian count. In the EU it...was never really clear. Some could certainly start at a point where raw power just exuded from them in the force, and you could have those that were 'weaker' and could train the strength. As for me? Well here's my interpretation. The Force simply is. If one is attuned to the force they can strengthen that bond through introspection and using The Force in ways to 'push' personal limits. The reason people like Luke and Kyle Katarn and others were as powerful as they were is because they utilized both 'dark' and 'light' sides of the force, expanding their bond and understanding of the nebulous bond of the universe around you.
>>2216905Midichlorians are a measure of potential, your connection with the Force doesn't have much to do with them. At least in Legends. The Ones really fuck everything up so I like to write them off. Abeloth too.Kyle and Luke use 'Dark Side' powers but don't use the Dark Side itself (after a certain point) which is what makes them more powerful than say, Revan, who dabbled in both but never really committed to one.
>>2216911Luke is more powerful than Revan?
>>2216919in the EU he managed to hold a Black Hole open and in place and threw starships into it.
>>2216921...man that engineer who made that vent in the death star was right, fucking space wizards man.
>>2216919Luke in Dark Empire and after is a lot stronger than Revan, Revan pre-Shadow of Revan isn't very impressive either, and everything in Shadow of Revan is game mechanics, and there's no canon for SWTOR so nothing is set in stone there.>>2216921Also Living Oneness, Force Walking multiple times, putting the hurt on Caedus, forcing back Abeloth.
>>2216935Oh trust me, I know how powerful papa space jesus was.I was just going with the most 'In your face' thing he could do on a grand scale
>>2216919Revan is more Obi-Wan tier whereas people like Luke are Galen Marek tier.As far as the force goes I mean.
>>2216941>Galen Marek being in Luke's tier>Obi Wan being in Revan's tierNot that Obi Wan couldn't beat Revan in sabers, but Revan is still a tank in the Force.
>>2216952Look, Revan is just confusing to me after a while and it's obviously time I reread and replay some shit.
>>2216952Also I only said Galen Marek as he sets the lowest standard for space messiah bullshit
>>2216957He's kind of a Mary Sue in the games and related material, but otherwise his feats are either shaky or downright sad. Meetra Surik (the Exile) gets shit on even worse. >>2217015Shit I forgot the pic.
>>2216957>>2216967Revan's biggest strength was originally how great of a tactician he was. He was a strong warrior and force wielder, but his biggest achievement was turning the lumbering old republic and a bunch of wet behind the ears jedi into a force capable of crushing the Mandalorians at the height of their power. He beat them so badly with his limited resources that they literally never recovered, singlehandedly turning them from 'proud warrior race' into 'proud warrior race without a place in the galaxy'.
>>2217003Revan is awesome because we remember playing him and feeling awesome doing so. If whatever tie in crap doesn't paint as flattering a picture then ignore it like I do all the garbage Disney is crapping out
>>2217019>wet behind the ears jediPretty much everything is right besides this, the Masters were all mostly hardened by combat in or by surviving the Great Sith War, which was less than 50 years before. I still don't understand why KOTOR had to be so close to TOTJ.
>>2217015Hey you think you could at least...bug test your games...just a little? Please don't be angry, I just don't wanna restart my game every time a bandit/draugr looks at me the wrong way.
>>2217038They're not bugs, they're features. I've always had more bugs in New Vegas than either of the Bethesda Fallouts or Skyrim. It's about even with Oblivion, better on console but worse on PC.
>>2217050 That's because Bethesda made it a part of their contract with Obsidian that they would do the bug testing and QA in their studio. They then purpousley fucked it up so as to make their paying off of Metacritic (to make sure the score for New Vegas was low enough to avoid paying Obsidian their bonus) look legit.
>>2217057It's not like Obsidian has a chronic history of missing deadlines and unfinished games.

However ‘more or less unarmed’ still meant you had a few tricks up your sleeve. And you were thankful you brought them in case of this. Getting to your feet you pull one of the sonic grenades from your belt you flick the priming lever, you start to run towards her to close the distance. Watching her approach you bring yourself low to the ground, dropping the grenade behind you only for it to detonate a moment later, a high pitched screaming and burst of light. Where is my saucy baked toast, Weaver? Also. I meant to say this last night and it got deleted in my tired induced stupor and never rewrote it. But the post followed the same structure as:I was thinking of how we just essentially beat the shit out of Rey. I'm sure Rey's own thoughts wouldn't be that of how great of a person we are or that she would be willing to even follow our lead as we just publically humiliated her while causing some albeit unknown but presumably serious injuries. I wouldn't be so sure the rebellion's higher ranking personnel would be so keen on hearing that we have just pummeled the resistance's most valued person in a training course. As it would seem our own identity, at large, is unknown and our actions are the only item which they may hear. Not to mention Poe's own thoughts on the subject or Leia's when she finds out about our brutal and extremely harsh treatment of the trainees, or in particular Rey's conditions. These actions may also cause a high number of drop-outs of our regime if said treatment extends to every student in the pseudo-dojo. One may argue that this is the reason why we have bacta on hand. Though bacta can heal wounds, it is a rare and very precious resource in a thinly spread rebellion and the use of it is most likely regulated and thus is without mentioning that these wounds were found during training and not combat situations. Something like bacta may not even be available to us. Our actions, and in extension our character, will most likely be met with resentment from most of the rebellion. I can say it may even be called that we are a renegade and that we are a liability instead of a sure point of training. Though I completely agree that beating the shit out of Rey is somewhat in character, I simply argue that it wasn't the most efficient method which we could have applied in such an early stage in our return. This is no doubt the cause of our choice in "upping the ante" and seems perfectly fine to us as a mandalorian, there may be call for the discontinue of such training practices if said practices are leaked out to places where they are looked down upon and seen as barbaric.I suggest our future steps are to prove our reliability in that our trainees will be a cut above the rest to ensure our footing in the minds of the rebellion if we wish to garner favor in those who have the ability and resources to see our own goals met i.e. The resurrection of a force order. The next few days should be teaching mandolorian ideologies and to set why we are putting the pupils through the harsh conditions as some will no doubt not enjoy being pummeled by a big red angry mandalorian.
>>2218835About the bacta, considering that the dude was able ot get a bacta soaked cloth to help his a dislocated shoulder I think the stuff might be more common than you expected.
>>2218835Bacta's synthesized on a massive scale by two different companies, there's an abundance of the stuff.
>>2218846Not really considering Bacta comes from a single planet.
>>2218861Are you thinking of Kolto? Bacta's synthetic.
>>2218861That's kolto anon
>>2218872>>2218876Kolto is from Manaan. I'm talking about Thyferra. Yeah there were two companies but they are both on Thyferra. Also bacta is organic. Besides, bacta wasn't the main point, our actions are -- not the supply of bacta or its production. If we are to continue the intensity of our training then we need to implement other ways to convey our message or to hide it from prying eyes who deem it unnecessary and would have the power to put a stop to it. We should get one on one time with Rey soon after, or have her stay. During this we should talk to her more than kick her shit in.
>>2218909Oh and the subject of bacta, it would be a waste of time submerging/treating student after student every time we "practice" and would also gain suspicion from unwated and problematic eyes.
>>2218909We're definitely gonna be having a talk with Rey after training seeing as she's potentially Space Jesus Junior Junior. Also as to our training methods being potentially seen as barbaric, I suggest we let result speak for themselves. In about 2 months we should have a fine squad of rebel commandos.
>>2218920Yeah but we would need to buy time. Probably going to have to have a long talk with Leia on helping us cover up the barbaric nature of it so we can have two months to train these soldiers. Not sure Poe being one of the students will help our cause though. Maybe we should tone down the aggressiveness to save face when we do some one on one with the students.
>>2218932Considering this batch is gonna be the closest thing to special forces the rebels will actually have, the harsh training methods should be expected.
>>2218925Where does alazhi and kavam come from? Synthetic doesn't mean plastic. Though you're right and I was thinking the wrong point about that, bacta's ingredients are grown/ raised on thyferra.
>>2218943>Where does alazhi and kavam come from?"Alazhi was one of the main components of bacta. It was a bacteria grown in a medium of xoorzi fungus in large processing plants, but was also created naturally by the Vratix's secretions. Alazhi came from the planet Thyferra and was grown as a major export on the planet Verkuyl.""Kavam was a chemical used in the manufacture of bacta. It was excreted by the Vratix."These are quotes from each of the chemicals' respective Wookieepedia articles.
>>2218951Yes. Thank you for proving my point.
>>2218940Supporting this anon, we can't cut corners with our spec ops squads.
>>2218940>>2218965Well I didn't mean to suggest cutting corners, more like we should try to protect ourselves from un-needed heat before proving our worth as a teacher. At least have the idea to save face if some one questions the conditions. Something like our training might have some calling similarities to the imperial and the first order's own regime and might question our ambitions and hurt our goals. Something like in-fighting with the rebellion isn't unheard of and can further damage chances instead of allow us to be successful.
>>2219009Do you think a formal announcement of our inaugural class might help?Maybe we should have a personal physician for the class?
>>2219060This sounds like a good idea.
>>2219060Should talk to Leia after talking with Rey. Perhaps both at once. A speech should probably be after the first graduation. Or at least some political maneuvering to bring us more resources like your physician through Leia. We should also try to talk Leia into taking us with her to a meeting with the rebellion's heads. Try to gather allies and garner some favor by promises of training for a price. Something akin to the training contract with Leia's/Poe's branch of the rebellion by offering our services. Though I'm thinking that would come later as we would have something to show for our somewhat expensive deal. Leia will obviously be our linchpin for our goals. After two weeks we should have her stand in and watch over the training to show our progress with the small group. After that I'm sure we will be able to have more leverage when negotiating with others. I expect if we continue to keep revving up the severity of the training then there will be a high drop rate. Expecting those who were lacking today find themselves outside of our dojo.
>>2219107Tdlr: I agree and we should use Leo's as a vehicle of our goal after proving ourselves.
>>2219107>Try to gather allies and garner some favor by promises of training for a price. We should probably wait on hashing that stuff out until we have a full team of instructors ready. See if we can't find some old heads from the first rebellion or some other Mandos.>Expecting those who were lacking today find themselves outside of our dojo.I was actually gonna suggest we stick anybody who failed to meet standard into a sort of extra training session that would take place after daily training.Just to help them get fit faster.
Rolled 1, 12, 6, 12, 9, 13, 6, 16, 15, 9, 17, 14, 2, 6, 8, 1, 17, 13 = 177 (18d20)>>2217208
>>2219128Ooh yeah man. The physician would be the first goal. The two week goal, something to show Leia we are good on our word and that we could have more resources put to us. On a topic on instructors, Poe should be our poster boy of the program but since he will be a commander Corran or Rey, or both, should be our junior instructors--if they all make it through without dropping. Extra time and one on one sessions should be the goal. It should be that we have every student pair up and train with each other, switching partners each week with after class solo time with us, along with the extra time for those lacking. Solo/extra time would be a more closer look on each student's progression and showing them the small changes needed for their success.
>>2219154>Rey>instructor roleShe's far too green for that. She can have a leadership role at the squad level if she shows she has the aptitude for it.I also think that after the first two weeks we should organize the class into 4 squads of 5 men.
>>2219169I mean that Rey would be an instructor in the long run same for Corran. They are both force sensitive, or as much as weaver is leading us to believe Corran is.Which leads me to how we will deal with the force sensitive training. I'm thinking we should first be limited to Rey only. Or at least as much as we can before trying in more apprentices. But she is probably the most troublesome and probably the most resource intensive in our part. Poe and Corran could be told after their graduation and be brought into a separate training program. Alternatively we can train them in the ways of the force without directly telling them, probing their abilities and seeing how they fair. Something like sneaking some Jedi training in the middle of combat by blind folding the students etc. We should obviously openly train mando-Jedi later but for now it should be secretive similar to the current training.
>>2219169I agree with the organization.
>>2217208You had been surprised that many of your to-be commandos were not bad when it came to fighting up close. Sure they were not at the level of Mandalorians, let alone the modern Stormtroopers, but they understood some basic facts. In all honesty many were competent in the military aspect of war, they simply lacked the physique to match. At least, that was the case for most of them. There were three outright failures who were subpar in every aspect of fighting. This didn’t mean they were poor soldiers, rather that they would have to train far harder to catch up to the rest. While for a majority it would be physical conditioning to repair, these three would take more.Much more. Releasing your troops out to the medbay you were quick to lift Rey into your arms and follow behind them. Thankfully with the ‘medical’ problem in your arms no one was asking questions which gave you some time to think about the future of your commandos.>1. How far did you want to take their training?>A. Bring them up to the level of Storm Commandos: Combat, Stealth, Sabotage >B. >>2220872>Grapple hooksgotta get that terrain advantage
Gauntlet mounted vibro knives like the ones from Republic commando.
>>2220872Vibroknives, grapple hooks, cloaking(?), any stasis stuff that is handheld, macrobinoculars.
>>2220872If we can get that noise dampining stuff that the first order commandos have maybe that and what >>2220914suggested granted some of it I figure would be standard be might as well mention it.
>>2220872Vibro-knives and possibly grappling hooks.
We should think about the grappling cord we have on our own person. I think it was probably the best thing mandalorian had in the animated series. Those would help out the ability of each trooper to combat the force sensitive dark Jedi as well since we already found one on a seemingly unimportant station. As it looks they are semi-common and with us being slow to start our Jedi project we can train these guys to be able to also deal with the sith. This will also help us smooth over the abilities of our own order as it allows the force sensitives in the class already know how to deal with them. Not only is the grappler effective against sith, it is also an effective tool for various other items. Vibroblades are useful but I feel like that is already included with our choice of CRT if not already stated. Either way vibrio blades are cheap enough anyways. I also feel like if we are going full mando then why did we choose seeker instead of the jet pack?
>>2221026The argument for jet packs is mobility. Something the rebellion, as well as mandolorians, are well known for. This will play to their strengths. Still specialists could have training in seeker droids, I don't see the effectiveness in it if every teammate has a seeker droid as a jet pack can allow the entire team do more and doesn't limit them. this also allows easier integration of each commando to every mission instead of just able to use the seeker droid for recon. It seems very situational as is the repulsor pack.Instead of limiting our troops, we should have them be flexible.
>>2220802Setting your charge down on one of the medbay tables you start to walk to your ship to grab something to toast to your small band of trainees. All of this gave you time however to come to the final point you would take your troops. And by the time you grabbed the bottle of true Ne’tra gal you had picked up on a stop to your cultural home everything was looking bright. You would stay on until each and every one of them could hold their own against you, a true match for just about anything the galaxy could throw at them. You would be willing to adopt every single one of them by the end if they wished, however until that point they would be your troops. It would cost you a bit of credits to get them outfitted with more standard kit that wasn’t anywhere from twenty to thirty years old, but the returns you would get out of it would certainly be enough. The only problem would be where to acquire your hardware.>Well, where do you plan to go?>A. Coruscant: You’d have direct access of the manufacturers, but it’s now becoming the capital of the First Order>B. Return to Ord Mantell: You’d run the risk of running back into the SSD and First Order Troops who are on alert, but it was still a major arsenal.>C. Nar Shaddaa: You’d pay a higher price, but the black market is the safest...in theory.
>>2221037>CWorst comes to worst it could be free training against people no-one would miss.
>>2221037>>C. Nar Shaddaa: You’d pay a higher price, but the black market is the safest...in theory.Brit is right
>>2221037>B or COrd Mantell seems like a neat place. Nar Shaddaa would also be a place for us to see the black market. Since our mandolorian background, I'd think we will be known there and we could get a price mark down like we did with our armor. Then again our reasoning may too, or may not. It's a gamble.
>>2221041>>2221050 Plus we might find a twi'lek cutie.
>>2221037>C. Nar Shaddaa: You’d pay a higher price, but the black market is the safest...in theory.
>>2221056I had hoped but did not wish to assume.
>>2221037>>C. Nar Shaddaa: You’d pay a higher price, but the black market is the safest...in theory.Nobody is gonna try to rip off a Mando, right?
>>2221037>>C. Nar Shaddaa: You’d pay a higher price, but the black market is the safest...in theory.
Can we still talk about the options? I feel like it is a big deal when looking forward. The seeker droid and bindi blade doesn't seem like the best option for our mando super boys. Seeker droid may seem fine and all right now but what applications are there really for one if we can just simply do it ourselves. Seems redundant. The vibroblade is just not the best option either. Of course it seems good but something like a grappler like we have is just simply better for closing in opponents, binding them, and stunning them. Though a blade would be good for close combat, it probably is easy enough to take out guys without a knife and such conditions are situational enough that a grappler would easily replace. Though of course one could argue that once our space wizards begin their training they can just use force grab, but same for the video knife as a lightsaber would be the next thing anyways.
>>2221170Having disposable recon instead of tying up or exposing commandos is a huge advantage
>>2221170here is the thing. It was asking what we want to start them with.We can always get something else to add to their training later. With the seeker droids, if i remember them correctly, they can work on their own some and act as another combatant to an extent in close quarters since they can fly over the enemies head and either distract them or slice them in the back. Also their is a modification that droids can get, and you can put them in armor anyway, that makes the hands shock hands. If I remember right they are used for stunning or if you up the power they can be deadly.
>>2221175>>2221188>if modifiedWell at base sure a seek droid would be nice to have to look around but if the combatant is worth his salt then they would easily able to recon by themselves. Also to call into question on the cost effectiveness of the droid over a jet pack. Though one could argue that a seeker droid is more common than a jet pack, it would increase the effectiveness of a combatant. As a jet pack can allow one to access places that they couldn't on their own abilities or disengage easily. A seeker droid can unlock doors but so can a person. A seeker droid can kill people but so can a person. A seeker droid can recon but so can a person. The jet pack adds to the effectiveness of a solider where as a seeker only applies the assurance of redundancies.
>>2221227Well maybe each droid can have a special function for each member, so that way we don't have a ridiculous redundancy of scouting droids.>A scouting drone for the scouts and rangers>A med kit droid for medics>A spotter droid for snipers>A weapon stabilization platform for heavy weapon users
>>2221550See, those are actuallu good ideas, though I do feel like specialists would have their own kit regardless of our decisions here. Which I still firmly believe that a jet pack would help our guys way more than sitting for something in the future. Which of course we can kit out our guys later down the line, I just think that jet packs would be the best option out of something that is specialized to a degree. Jet packs can be used in any condition (excluding tight places like air ducts). Mandolorians and jet packs are just synonymous with how they are depicted in the source material. Maneuverability and flexibility, I think, is more important than the somewhat more narrow application where as jet packs only amplify the ability of the user, if properly trained. We have one and we know how to use it; same for the grapple. Since we use these tools and we are as flexible in situations then it would only make sense by our character to also extend the same tools to our students as we are proficient in the use of them.
>>2221550addendum/tldr: I agree with you but I think that the jet pack is still the better option.
>>2221635>>2221550>What sort of special equipment do you want to start them with?>Special Equipment do you want to start them with?>START them with. Not end, it is simply for now some equipment for them to use until they can pick their own.
>>2221640jetpacks, grappling hooks, armour and knifes
>>2221640Well of course but my point still stands. Either way no one is agreeing with me so it's not like my arguement will be moving anywhere until later unless there is some last minute party wanting to push for jet packs and grappling cords.
We can always just get both the droid and the jetpacks for them, most likely, or at least a couple of them to have them practice until we get more.
>>2221037Nar Shaddaa would be quite an adventure, but perhaps it was something that would be good for who you had in mind to come with you. Given that Rey was as sheltered as she was perhaps it would be good for her to see the gritty reality of the galaxy. Other than her you’d bring the young Corran with you, if only because his formative years were yet to complete and it would be fun to see the kid completely smashed in a seedy bar.You couldn’t wait to see Leia’s face if the kid ended up getting a tattoo. Hearing the door slide open ahead of you out of the turbolift you make your way to the medical deck, the black and unlabeled black bottle swinging in your grip. The eyes of your charges greet you as you slip into the medical bay, and then quickly change to the bottle in your hands. Grabbing a few of small water cups from the nurses station you start to pour a bit of the semi-sticky black liquid into each one before setting them out for the group.“This is Ne’tra Gal, Mandalorian black ale. Often times it is drunk in times of celebration, and I believe that personally what you’ve done it calls for a celebration.” You cheer, pulling your helmet off and rubbing the sweat out of your hair. Taking a cup you wait for each member of the group to take their own before you speak again.“To the Rebellion!” You Toast. Each one follows suit as you down the liquid, the slight burn supplanted by the sweetness of it. It had been some time since you had treated yourself to the drink, and it was a warm reminder of your adopted home. The rest of the group however seemed less excited, and Corran nearly spits up his drink, much to the amusement of the rest. From there things seem to at least relax as the troops begin to converse among themselves, however there was one person in particular who was more removed from it all.Rey sat to herself on the cot you had left her on, her cup of ne’tra gal still swimming with some of the deep black drink. You had been hard on her, and no doubt built her up only to knock her down again. However it had been important in order to break her of her childlike naïveté, it would do no one any good if she was so blind to the harsh reality of the galaxy. That being said you had not expected this sort of reaction. What could you possibly do?>A. Take her aside, explain the trip you’re going on.>B. Just let her brood, she’ll come to you. >C. >>2222488Looking to Poe you can see the man is in high spirits, however when his eyes meet your own his features harden. Straightening up he crosses the distance before simply asking you if you would step out with him for a moment. Naturally you’re under contract to oblige and after grabbing your helmet you slip it beneath your arm before going after him. “You were hard on her.” He states, arms folded across his chest as you continue to ignore his stare.“I was hard on hard on all of you.” You retort, raising an eyebrow at his statement.“You know exactly what I mean Daxter! You set her up to be knocked down.” He accuses. You nod. “I did.” You confirm.“And just why would you have done that?” Poe questions, and you can see his body tensing as if to strike you.You were afraid this conversation might go this way, but you had to do what you had to test her. From the way she acted you had worried that the teen was someone who had yet to gain their ‘space legs’. You need to shake her of her misconceptions, literally.“Tell me. What do you know about Rey?” You ask quietly, watching as the man processes your question.“She was a scav on Jakku, ended up going from there to the Resistance and then saved all of our collective asses on Crait.” He says as if it were common knowledge. “Yes, but did she come from anywhere else other than Jaku? Other than being a scav who lived on a backwater world that does almost nothing other than being a cratered and ruined reminder of the old Empire?” You argue, continuing down the hall and forcing Poe to follow along with you. “I...Don’t know.” He admits to you and you look at him as if to scold him.“She’s got no sense of the reality of the galaxy. She needs to grow up and none of you have done anything but continue to comfort her and protector from it.” You start, and you can feel your anger start to rise. “You have no right to act like you’re in the right here when all you’ve succeeded in doing is making my job harder. So I’ve already put forward a mission and she’s on the team. I expect the dossiers on every member of this bunch transmitted to my ship within the hour.” You finish with an order, storming off towards your ship to prepare for your takeoff.>Anything you plan to add to your little ‘trip’? You do have a few options.>A. Mandalore: It was only a jump or two off course, but you did have some personal business to see to>B.
