The officer is still startled, staring at his gun. It jammed completely after the red wave propagated a few seconds ago, and the man with the goofy totem-like parasite monster on his shoulder is slowly getting closer to the cop; maybe following the officer inside Lise’s home wasn’t the greatest of ideas, but in your defense you never thought things would escalate this quickly! Your intention was just to find out what was going on, not actually get in a fight!Regardless, you knew deep down that today wasn’t going to be an easy one. Your encounter with Rise the crazy ex-terrorist leader and the introduction of this red electromagnetic wave made by the judges that somehow disables objects, weren’t exactly signs for a peaceful evening. You’re hiding behind of one of the couches in the living room. Why are you even here? Lise said she was in trouble of some kind and she was desperate enough to call you for help. So like a decent human being, you decided to help. Still, you don’t any idea what the implications are of what you’re seeing right now, but you’re still undetected and waiting for back up.“S-shit…” The officer starts to back down and away from the stairs; he knows he’s in trouble.“Profanities and disobedience; You’re even lower than I thought you were.” The monster man approaches slowly, like he doesn’t understand completely how to use his body, his legs wobbling every step he takes; kinda takes you out of the seriousness of the situation… “Johnny, I feel more presences in the building somewhere.” Philonune whispers to you. It was awfully quiet before, is there really someone else in here? Or is Philonune imagining things? Honestly, he’s the real war veteran of you two, no? Anyway… You should do something right now, or someone is going to get hurt! What do you do?>Hold your position! Sorry officer, but not all the cards have been dealt yet.>Defend the good man! You can’t just watch the old officer getting beat; it’s time to take matters into your own hands! The officer backs down from the stairs completely, going full retreat towards the main door of the house, a long hallway dividing him from the exit. The moment the policeman’s intentions are clear, the enemy starts to chase quickly after him in his unorthodox walking cycle. Once it passes next to you, you invoke Philonune and smack the totem figure on his shoulder with a fierce punch to the back of the head. The man staggers and plummets to the floor! He tries to get back on his feet but collapses again.“Kid?! When? How? Why?” The officer halts his retreat the moment you decide to intervene.“Who dares do this…?” The weakened man’s voice barely escapes his lips. The fact he’s still awake after a blow like that must mean he’s rather tough. Or he was made that way... Before you could say anything to either of them, you hear an old woman shouting from upstairs:“Dear! I told you not to use the ring while I’m working!” She shouts rather angrily. It appears we have company. Lise did say both of her parents were acting strange, so mom must be home…What do you do?>Knock the parasite man out before he can call for help! (Normal Roll)>Escape! Fuck, you need to act quick! He may alert the woman about your presence! You prepare Philonune for a second strike, intent on shutting this guy up. He opens his mouth wide open preparing to yell as strongly as his body lets him, but Philonune's swift jab does the job and knocks him out before he can scream. The monster on his shoulder disappears and only a white flame remains on the side of his neck. He's out cold! Punching the monster doesn't leave a trace on the man either.“K-kid—!” The cop tries to yell but you quickly signal him to keep his mouth shut. You don’t want to bring any unnecessary attention to you two. The cop is lost, he saw a man getting put to sleep without you even moving. You can feel the tension in the air, but at least you’re somewhat safe right now. “Dear…? What’s going on…?” The voice gets lower, she may have caught on somewhat about what’s going on – at least, she knows there is something dangerous to her down here. The cop stares at you intensely, waiting on you to do the next move. You have no idea what is going to happen next, but you must take action now. What’s your next move?>You and the cop should retreat! Safety first! You revert Philonune to flame form and signal the cop to come closer, he silently does. You tell the cop your plan:“I need you to act as bait like before.” You whisper.“Youngster, I have no idea what’s going on.”“Please help me.” You look him at his eyes with all the conviction you can show.“Kid, my partner is in there. I’ll do what I can.” He nods, confidence back. You hide behind some random piece of furniture near where the body is in the long hallway to the entrance, while the cop stands up and checks on his boss’ body. Slowly you hear the woman getting closer, but her movement draws to a halt…“Who is in there?” She asks clearly and with composure, as if her nose is turned ups. The cop turns to you, wondering if he should reply, and you nod at him dismissively. “Tch…" Sounds like she lost her patience. You hear her finger snap repeatedly and you hear another row of footsteps coming from deeper inside the next floor, like the steps of a giant. He stops at the same location the woman did, just behind her.“Yes…?” An incredibly intimidating and deep voice comes from above, a tone somewhat familiar to you. But from where?“You failed us once, don’t do it again. Get rid of whatever or whoever is down there.”“As you please… For our lord.” The deep voice responds in monotone and continues walking towards the top of the stairs.“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just do your job.” The woman responds in a bored but snappy tone you'd hear from some street punk, like she’s getting real tired of this shit, whatever it is. She goes back towards the rest of the rooms, while you hear the heavy steps booming as they make their way down the stairs.[1/2]
>>2207631The cop takes his police baton out! Everything is set up for him to fight… Finally, the heavy enigmatic figure walks out of the stairs and he’s finally visible! It’s him! He’s back! It’s none other than… Uhm…“What was his name again? I kinda forgot.” You murmur to Philonune. “Who cares? Never remove your attention from your enemy, Johnny! This is the first rule of combat, you should know this by now!” Philonune is not pleased, actually frowning at you in irritation! Well, he technically is an experienced warrior after all…But yeah, it’s the homeless man from the restaurant eons ago! It’s Barry! That’s how you named him anyway. You thought he was dead, but somehow he found his way here and…“He has another flame…?!” You couldn’t keep quiet; though thankfully he didn’t seem to have spotted you. The new flame in question on his back, and it’s white as well! Guess whoever is behind all this managed to get to him too.“You… Begone.” The big man strides forward at a decent pace, eyes glazed. He doesn't seem to have recognized you through all the brainwashing they put him through. The cop starts backing away ever so slightly, baiting Barry towards a point near you… You better not miss.Barry invokes his new partner, another snake-like creature! Maybe he has a thing for snakes? He tries to grab the cop with his holy beast, but the officer can’t see the snake getting closer! You could stop the snake and save the officer, or you can take the chance and surprise attack the mountain of a man before his attack connects! Either way, you must make a decision! Here goes nothing! You quickly invoke Philonune out again as you jump out from your barely hidden spot and head straight for Barry! You go for an elbow strike to the man’s face, while Philonune knees the snake stopping it from going any further. The policeman sees his opportunity and goes for broke, utilizing his dull weapon correctly to break the giant man’s nose. The homeless man falls straight down backwards comically, like a tree after being cut. But before he could slam the floor, the snake creature in his back bounces him up and forward like some sort of pogo stick; you feel oddly familiar about that for some reason you can't place right now. Blood starts pouring out of his nose… Once he’s back on his feet, the police officer batons him yet again! The man looks stunned, but for some reason his partner makes him bounce back again on his own… Once he’s on his feet for the second time, you use Philonune to deliver the final blow, the one that finally knocks him down with such raw force that the whole house quakes! This probably alerted whoever is upstairs about the outcome of this fight, but least good ol’ Barry is out! Poor guy got 2v1’ed TWICE now. Maybe he would have been stronger in other circumstances…“God damn it!” You hear the woman yell from upstairs. “Always making a ruckus…”Two down, one to go, unless there is another surprise waiting for you. Before you and the cop could congratulate each other for another victory, you hear the loud scream of a man yet again.“I’m heading up.” The police officer declares as he moves Barry’s body aside. The officer wants to save his partner from whatever is happening upstairs, the scream you heard before was probably the partner's again – unless there's more victims or hostages! The officer doesn’t know what he’s dealing with, but you can see in his eyes he doesn’t want to back down…!You won’t have the surprise factor in the next fight if you accompany the officer, and with it being such a strong strategy, maybe the only real reason you’re even crushing these fools. You should think things through before doing something reckless…What do you do?>Calm the officer down! Back up is coming! You’re a winning duo and you’re not going to screw this streak up! Time to face what's ahead!“I’m going to help you whether you like it or not, sir, so come on.” You tell the officer as you grab his shoulder, smiling at him.“This is probably my last day on the force with all the shit I've just been through, so let’s go, kid.” His expression is a tired smile, but his eyes are lit up with that determined flame. What a strange sense of camaraderie has developed the last hour and half between you two! There is no time to waste. As sneakily as you can, you two go up the stairs with you taking point. Nothing out of the ordinary really. It’s a theme on this house, but for a place where possible weird experiments and brainwashing are done, it gives the place a much more deceptive vibe than at first.“You two can stop playing games, because I know you're here.” The woman’s voice comes from the room farthest from the stairs, on the left. “Tsk tsk tsk… You know I’m busy working? Now I have to get rid of you personally…”The woman, who appears to just be an old overweight lady with a white flame on her stomach, opens the door and looks at you and the officer with disappointment mixed with surprise. She sighs loudly in exasperation and scratches her head.“This…? This is all? You’re not even worth the time it takes to look at you.” She summons her partner, a bunch of tentacles replacing her waist which has a face on it. You can't tell if the face is supposed to be angry or about to throw up. You'd probably feel the same way too, attached to someone like that.“Why is she floating? And where's her legs?” The officer wonders aloud taking a stance, as the obese woman makes her move!“Ohohoho… He has no slave? Then what’s the point of bring him here, you idiot child? More fodder for us? Aww, you shouldn't have!” She smiles at you in a way that makes your skin crawl in disgust.[1/2]
>>2208559The ugly tentacle bitch is slithering towards the officer! But wait, there's more! Something comes out of the room she was in, a dark blurred figure that you're having trouble focusing on! The policeman is not even aware of his presence! It appears to have some kind of deity too, judging by how your eyes start to physically ache a little looking at this mystery person. The mysterious figure is coming to attack from your left side, along the wall. It’s going to take longer for him to do so, so you have a clear chance to stop him… But that would leave the crazy obese lady alone with the officer, and you're not sure how good the range is on those tentacles of hers. The enemy is moving forward and you know the only option left is to escape. Taking on two powered opponents alone with someone normal is too high odds, as Craig would say in a poker game! It’s time to make a stand…! You feel an overwhelming force inside your body! You've trained your body for a moment just like this, and you’re going to make it count. You could use Philonune to drag the officer out, but you’d leave your defense exposed from both flanks, so you will have to do something special…You lift the officer by the waist with overwhelming strength with only one arm!“W-what…!?” The Officer yells, confused. But his behavior doesn’t distract you from your duty. You silently command Philonune to feign an offense towards the dark figure coming from the left side! The moment he feels threatened, the mysterious figure stops in its tracks! You use this chance to make Philonune change course mid-flight, and he uses his lighting spear to slash at the woman’s tentacles, cutting one off… “Gah…!” The landwhale of a woman screams. The remainder of the tentacle disappears into the air, becoming white smoke. While all of this is happening, you run while carrying the officer like he’s just a sack of potatoes around your arm. How strong are you after just a mere 2 sessions of training…? Who cares really? You're fucking doing this. The once threatening dark figure chases after you, while the obese monster staggers in pain holding her missing tentacle stump. You and the officer are back on the first floor, the main door in sight! The bodies of the chief and Barry are still where you left them. From out of sight, the dark figure jumps down the stairs and lands next to you too.“Kid! Let me go!” The officer wants you to leave him on the ground. Fat chance!“Then get out!” You throw him as safely as you can away from the adversary, towards the open door. Hopefully he takes the hint and gets out of here. The strange figure hops forward offensively, you evade one of his jabs and quickly counter with your own… Right after, you use Philonune to tackle him away creating some distance between you two. Then you quickly run towards the door, recalling Philonune to you so he avoids retaliation from the figure. The officer starts running too the moment he sees you gaining enough advantage to get away. This surprising (to you) display of strength and skill, made you feel both cooler and stronger! Sorry officer! You have been of great help somehow, but you need to take care of whatever is chasing you yourself… Besides, you were already way too reckless with letting him in there anyway. You kept running, ignoring the officer’s command. He in the meantime finally finds out his car is not working and starts smacking the car, not realizing that you’re not going his direction. Good job there? You keep running away from the house and the creature keeps chasing you, perhaps you’re his primary target because you took that bitch’s tentacle before… The landwhale deserved it anyway! You would have expected this monster to be faster like the beast he is, but he’s not really getting any closer. Looks like a dark-colored werewolf-looking monster from what glimpses you've caught of him. Really weird seeing him outside in broad daylight, takes the magic out of the situation somewhat.Anyway, you’re about to reach the end of the sidewalk! Time for a surprise attack! Even if he tries to dodge, his momentum wouldn’t let him do so, right? It’s worth trying regardless. You turn around and with Philonune still invoked you try to tackle him away from you. The creature is sharp and sidesteps quickly enough for you to blunder your tackle — but thanks to your training, you’re able to quickly take advantage of his foul movement and connect with a jab of your own!"Good catch, Johnny!" Philonune says as he floats back over to you. You feel a slight sense of pride at this, but that lessens once you remind yourself Philonune is essentially you as a bumbling spirit-warrior. You're becoming less and less of a loser, it seems…“There he is!” Is that Lise’s voice…? Doesn’t matter, you need to prepare for what’s coming. The werewolf creature is taken aback slightly (you didn't think a dog-face could express shock like that), but lunges forward for an attack of his own! You couldn’t command Philonune quickly enough to block the upcoming attack and the wolf barely connects the jab he previously missed on your face! You backstep a few paces, but thanks to your physical training you stood on your feet. It felt like nothing since the beast wasn’t in a great position to deliver his blow with full impact, but you caught a good view of those sharpened claws of his, shining almost blindingly in the sunlight. “DUCK!” Someone screams behind you. You follow the voice’s order instinctively and lower your head down. And the beast in front of you receives one hell of a strike from an unknown source! The monster rolls away from you under the strength of the blow, then quickly recovers and escapes back to Lise’s house on all fours.[1/2]
>>2211019“Magnifique!” A voice you don’t know says. Then you hear camera flashes going.“Good thing we arrived on time. What the hell was that Johnny?” It’s Osgood and Lise… and a fat man! He has a camera on hand and seems like your age, and he's dressed somewhat professional-looking. His camera looks a lot fancier than most cameras you've seen before. Probably an expert. You stand up and nod to both of them, dusting your clothes off. “Oh finally, reinforcements.” You say in a bored tone as if you were a police officer or something. Kinda like the one you just saved, actually.“Sorry about that, the van stopped working when we got a few blocks from here. My beauty won't just up and die like that for no reason, you know!” Osgood pats you on the back, smiling proudly about his hunk of junk, despite what happened. “You okay there? What’s going on? Lise maybe didn’t have time to explain to them what’s going on, if they just got here.“Right here, dude.” The fat man is carrying a small bag, probably where he keeps his camera; from it he takes out a white mask and two red scarves, extremely plain and featureless and cheap-looking. Lise helps you and the fatso put your scarves on correctly, while Osgood decides to wear the mask.“Thanks Lise and… Uhm—” What’s his name?“Name's Bradford. Don’t call me Brad though.” He must be useful if he wants to go in with you guys. If he's the guy who wanted to join the team, you could take this as his trial run.“Now let’s go.” You start walking towards Lise's home, waving the others to follow.“Can you at least update us on what is going on? Come on man!” Osgood keeps adjusting his mask as he walks.“I got the Chief of Police KO’d, but there is a hostage being held by his wife, and his partner’s nearby.” You tell the trio. "Lise, maybe you should go with us to talk to him and calm him down a bit. That would help.”“…” Lise seems afflicted. “I can’t help… They don’t listen to me anymore.” She’s shaking and her eyes look about to burst into tears — poor girl is too afraid to do anything. Also, that’s one of the saddest voices you have heard in a while, and that's with Uccelli as your girlfriend!“Then you should stay here and wait for the rest of us.” Bradford says as he looks at you and Osgood for confirmation. “I mean, there is more people coming here to back us up, right…?”“Yeah, that's the plan..” Osgood responds half-assedly while hand-waving, like he’s too busy thinking about something else to care.“2 unconscious guys, one fat woman with tentacle powers, and the werewolf thing you just saw. Those are our enemies inside the house, far as I know. There's the cop car outside with an officer in it, but he’s a good guy from what I can tell.” You explain quickly to Osgood, who closes his eyes and sighs loudly. Then opens them back with a determined look.“Fine, I’ll go in first; Dhrtarastra can endure an attack or two, and we can always use the furniture if it comes to that.” Osgood says, staring at the house's second floor windows.[1/2]
>>2212893You three start cautiously running back to the enemy’s territory, at least trying to not get detected at first sight. You’re at front of the house, front door still wide open the way you left it, the werewolf not visible anywhere – but what is in sight is the police car. Empty. Where is Officer Jackson…?Before you could even walk any further, Osgood grabs you by the shoulder.“Me first…” He musters his newfound courage, and his expression actually becomes somewhat badass. But only a little. “And you go further in the back, you have no way to defend yourself right now.” Osgood turns around and basically shushes his friend away.“I-I understand…” Bradford replies, holding his camera at the ready. Why are you bringing him then, Osgood…?“Any ideas before we start getting stupid?” Osgood asks you…What do you respond?>Proceed as planned. Osgood will probably tank the surprise attack, but you can take advantage and retaliate on-point. “I'll bait them outside.” You tell Osgood. “They don’t know you two are here, so they won't expect anything.”“Didn’t the werewolf see us before? How's it going to work?” Osgood questions your logic.“You think that thing knows how to ‘communicate’? His behavior wasn’t human.”“If we get at least one of them, I’m all for it.” Bradford quips.“…It’s not like you’re doing anything.” Osgood doesn’t seem convinced. “But you know that thing better than both of us, so I got your back.” So much questioning, yet he agrees anyway. Osgood is the type of guy who always wants to look good in hindsight…“Don’t fail me, guys."You and Osgood go inside the front yard while the fatso keeps looking from the main gate. The two of you get in front of the main door of the house. You both put your back on the wall next to the open hole, stare at each other for a second, then you nod and take the steps inside.(edited)Everything inside is more or less how you remember it, the hobo’s and the chief’s bodies are still there where you left them. Suddenly you hear something behind you, and it’s the beast! He was waiting for you on the ceiling of the door frame! How did he get there? And how the hell did he stay on the wall? He’s gliding towards you like some type of bat, how the fuck!?So much fighting has made you sharp, and you duck quickly enough that his attack goes wide over you! This counts as baiting, right? You run outside and the beast chases you, and as soon as both of you are completely out of the house; you turn and invoke Philonune to tackle the beast! Osgood does the same from the side, and both entities shoulder tackle the wolf-like creature, making a sandwich of pain! The creature weeps and whimpers like a small dog and quickly goes unconscious.[1/2]
>>2213267The black features of the wolf man start to evaporate into black smoke like how entities do when they are killed… All that remains is the body of a police officer. This must be Officer Jackson’s partner! Maybe the landwhale was experimenting with him or something fucked up. Either way, he's out cold and back to normal.“Well that was easy.” Osgood feels like someone lifted the heavy burden on his shoulder.“It’s not over yet."“Yeah, there was a hostage."“Maybe this cop is the hostage? Or there's someone else?” Now that you mention it, there were more rooms on the second floor, and who knows how long the landwhale and the husband were doing this while Lise was out — and to how many other people?“Good job, guys!” Bradford jogs his way towards you two. Lise is there too a little farther away, but she's still silent. Maybe she's trying to contain herself? You have one officer back! “Osgood and I will go inside, you two take him to the police car.” You tell Bradford and Lise.“I agree, you took the words right out of my mouth.” Osgood says with a serious look.“But this is the fun part…” Bradford looks disappointed. Lise looks a bit angry after Bradford said that. She then gets closer to the cop’s body and starts pulling it away a few paces, then she turns her head towards the fat photographer.“…You helping or not?” She sounds pissed off.“Y-yes ma'am. I’m sorry.” Bradford grabs the cop too, and the two of them drag him off the property.“Now I’m really going first.” Osgood says with conviction.“Let’s try to be sneaky.” Time to get shit done.“Scream if you need us!” The fatso says from afar, like they could do anything… Your're still not too clear on what the fat guy can do, but if he's here then he must have an ability too. But not a combat one? Better ask that later...The two of you go inside the big house; everything still looks the same… You point Osgood upwards and he nods silently. You two slowly go up the stairs, the silence deafening… The tension is rising and –“You upped your game, but still not good enough!” The land whale appears almost out of nowhere from the side, and directly attacks Osgood with her tentacles, striking him down with a powerful slam! Osgood’s entity blocks the direct shot, but the raw power of the impact knocks both Osgood and Dhrtarastra down the railing to the first floor!“Fuuuck…” Osgood says on the ground, holding his arm… At least he’s alive, but in rough shape. His entity is also not moving, but the look on his face is similarly pained.[1/2]
>>2213550The wicked woman now continues her assault on you, grabbing you with her tentacles and throwing you deeper inside the second floor. You’re closer to the room she came out of the first time than the stairs now. She threw you like you weighted nothing, reaching you faster than you expected, but luckily the impact didn’t do any great amount of damage to you… Good thing the carpet cushioned your fall!“When the power comes back on, you two kids are dead, you hear me?” The monster woman is confident. With Osgood down and the enemy in plain sight, there is nothing else you can do but fight! With Philonune by your side, you jump forward to attack!“A simple-minded move from a simple-minded man. Pathetic.” The woman laughs at your attempt at an attack. She won’t be laughing now.She stretches her tentacles to attempt to grab you, but you swiftly evade their grasp, from 1, 2, 3! 4! 5 of them! You’re right front of her, and she's defenseless!“N-no…!” The woman screams impotently as you are about to launch your offense! Your objective is to leave her unconscious, not dead, so you use Philonune to knee her on her entity's face! The entity screeches like a demon, but you fight the deafness and follow through! The woman flies and impacts on the railing, somehow without breaking it.“Y-You heathen! One lucky strike and you’re looking so confident…” She gasps out, clearly heavily winded by the attack. You didn’t notice but you’re smiling… but who cares how you look? Job isn’t done here! The woman tries extending her tentacles once again to grab you, but this time instead of evading them, you mentally command Philonune to cut any part of them that get close to you – accomplishing the task twice, the woman only has 5 tentacles remaining!“AAAAAah…” She screams while the cut-off parts of her entity disappear into the air. “People like you disgust me… Don't come near me, you worthless imp...” The woman is not going to back down. She’s using the railing to support herself, but she’s in a terrible position to continue defending. No enemy has been harder to get to than her, but like everyone else, you are going to defeat her… Right? What do you do?>Deliver the final strike to leave her unconscious! The fight isn't over yet, it's time to take care of business! You go in for the final the strike.“If only my dear husband wasn’t lobotomized by a monster, that idiot ruined everything…”You get closer to the monster woman, whom desperately tries to grab you with the rest of her tentacles, but you jump over and with Philonune’s might, you deliver the final strike on the back of the head – leaving her unconscious. Her entity ‘melts’ and goes back to its original form, a small white flame. You try to grab the woman yourself when she slumps forward, but she’s kind of heavy, so you let her drop on the ground. With that done you head down the stairs to see how Osgood is fairing.“You okay there?” You check on him, he has a nasty bruise on his arm.“You took her down by yourself…? You’re way tougher than you look, you know that?” Osgood is struggling to keep himself awake.“I’ll call the others for help.” You tell him.As you stand up, you feel someone grab you by the neck and put you in some type of sleeper hold. Thinking quickly Osgood invokes Dhrtarastra and yanks you away from the possible danger; you turn around and see the source of the attack! It’s the chief of police; he’s struggling to stand but still willing to fight!“I will get rid of you…” The man is barely up, but with Osgood wounded this won’t be easy!“For our lord… For his guidance.” Oh god, even Barry is up! How did they recover so quickly…?! Even if it's only been more than an hour since this whole ordeal started, this is still ridiculous! They're not in great shape, but somehow they have enough fighting spirit left to not back down! You still feel fine, so maybe you could take them out yourself... You invoke Philonune out once again; both men call their respective partners… Osgood scrambles away from the danger and positions himself near the TV in the living room. It's now a stand-off between the 4 of you!“Any more smart ideas?” Osgood manages to stand up with the help of some furniture…“Not really, but I like our odds.” You respond.[1/2]
>>2214361Everyone is staring at each other waiting for the first move to occur, the tension rises between the wounded men and you! The atmosphere is heavy! What is going to happen…?! Maybe this is finally the chance for Barry to show what he’s made of! Who knows? But a weird sound comes from the main door behind everyone! It’s like a cute and absolutely non-threating roar!“WOOOZAH!” Amelia and Saraswati come flying at high speed directly at your foes! Amelia is wearing her uniform and a cheap plastic bear mask “Now Saraswati!”“RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR!” It appears Saraswati is starting to embrace her animal side! The duo now, swathed by some kind of electricity, tackle Barry the hobo in the back!“GWAAAAAAH!” An electrocuted Barry starts shaking on the floor before he finally stops moving! Amelia and Saraswati crash behind you, near Osgood. Glancing back you see that they took a little damage, nothing serious.“What the—” The chief of police seems extremely confused at what he just witnessed. But as quickly as that attack happened, another is delivered, a swift strike from a seemingly armored bug comes and neutralizes the poor confused man. It’s Uccelli and Icioba who cleanly get rid of the opposition. After quickly disposing of the man, your girlfriend quickly runs towards you to check your condition.“Are you okay? You aren't hurt?”“The only one in bad shape is Osgood.” You tell her.“I’m so glad.” Nina seems relieved.“Yeah, fuck you too.” Osgood jests.“Y-you know I didn’t mean that, and watch your language!” Uccelli is not pleased.“We came as fast as we could!” Amelia is smiles all around. It seems she's pleased she finally got to beat a hobo!It seems the first group fight has been a success. Does this even count when they appeared at the last moment? Anyway, that pretty much spells your victory, right…? You wonder what happened to Officer Jackson. But is that really important now? What do you do now?>Let’s get everyone to Calamity’s clinic! (I apologize for only taking into account the votes from the first day.)“Amelia, you were supposed to hide your face under the mask.” You chastise your sister.“Oh, whoops.” Amelia corrects her mistake and puts her mask in place. “…This is kind of uncomfortable.”“Maybe you should get one of these.” You point to your cool scarf that you still feel is ridiculously cheap.“But I don’t wanna look like a thug.” Amelia sounds as naive as ever.“Can we get moving, please? I'm fucking dying over here.” Osgood interrupts the two of you sounding extremely deadpan while holding his injured arm.“Everyone is waiting outside. We should get to them.” Uccelli says in that gentle voice of hers that you like.“And we should take these to Calamity’s clinic too; we need to dispose of their partners. The landwhale upstairs too.” You point to the carnage the girls made, then upwards to the second floor. "We also need to find the officer. I still have no idea where he is."“I thought the officer was in the car.” Amelia seems confused and points back outside.“There are two officers. The one who got taken over, and the other one helped me.” “Sorry to interrupt again, but I think we can worry about him later. Once we get rid of the danger and I get some bandages on, then we can talk. Now let’s get to my van.” Osgood wants some rest. And who can blame him after the way he got blindsided like that? You were right there, and it happened quicker than you could react! You kinda feel a little guilty inside about the way the plan ended up, but Osgood is clearly going to be fine, so you stop feeling guilty immediately.“We can divide the group into two, we have six people here. Some can take you and these other guys to Calamity’s clinic, while the rest of us can try to find the officer.” You end up having a brilliant idea.“Is he really that important…?” Amelia is somewhat cold in this situation. You'd think she'd care more about the well-being of some cop.“It’s important to me.” You reply frowning. The officer did back you up without questioning you too much, it's only fair you return the favor after how helpful he was as bait. Oh, and being nice too.“Alright, if that makes us move quicker – I’m all for it.” You can tell Osgood is in severe pain, even if he’s trying to hide it being his usual demeanor.“The three of us can help move you and the bodies to your van. When we get there we can decide who goes where.” Nina puts everyone on the same page. That's your girl![1/2]

“Well then, let’s move these bodies.” Time to get the job done. With the help of everyone’s entities you successfully moved the bodies inside Osgood’s van.“Are you guys sure she’s going to fit…?” Bradford makes a snarky comment about the fat woman. He's one to talk, being fat himself…“That’s my mother, you ass!” Lise stares daggers at the fat guy.“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t know! It was only a joke anyway.” Bradford acts very apologetic about his comment. Lise keeps glaring at the guy until she changes topics.“…I get your ghost buddies are carrying them, but it is really hard to imagine, what with them invisible to the rest of us all the time."Bradford takes a quick pic of Philonune carrying the fat lady’s body inside the van.“Here, to show you how sorry I am. Maybe this will make things clearer.” Bradford shows the pic to Lise. Her eyes widen, and she rapidly looks back and forth from the photo to the spot where Philonune is floating.“Holy shit.” Lise is impressed by your cooler double from another reality. “And he’s with you the whole day? How do you cope with it?”“They're usually smaller.” You shrug while giving a half-assed explanation. Does she really need to know about flame forms?“We can show her the magic of demon monsters later, now can we please get going?!” Osgood yells from the driver's seat.“You sure you can drive?” Amelia wonders like everyone else present.“It’s not like it’s a race, I can take my time! Besides, speed limits are a thing.” Osgood replies angrily. He just wants to go, and you agree with him.“I could drive too, you know?” The fatso remarks, camera back in the bag.“I am not letting you touch my baby, Bradford. Not this time.” Osgood is weirdly obsessed with the pile of scrap on wheels.“I can drive you guys if you need it…” Lise says. “But Johnny said something about an officer missing.”“Yeah, I need some of you to stay to help me find him.” You tell everyone. “Obviously Lise should help for obvious reasons, and Uccelli because she’s the only adult here…”“Whaaat? I thought I would stay too!” Amelia whines in that cute way of hers that you're used to after all these years.“You need to be the nice familiar face Constance sees.” You smile back a little.“O.K.” Amelia seems to understand. “But I’m not going in the back!” She quickly runs to the front and hops right in. Bradford closes his eyes, silently accepting his fate, and sits in the back with the bodies.“I wonder if you fit with all them inside, fatass.” A dry response from Lise.“Ngh… You’re the resentful type, aren’t you?” Bradford shoots back. These two don’t seem to get along much.[1/2]
>>2219160“We can leave the immature remarks for later, you two; I think Osgood would appreciate it if we get moving.” Uccelli says in her 'stop being stupid' teacher voice, frowning at them.“I think my arm would appreciate it more than I would. Seat belts on or get out!” Osgood starts the engine and drives off. You see Amelia poking her head out of the window, waving. You wave back like a good big brother does. The group is divided! Osgood, Amelia, and Bradford are taking everyone for an exorcism session with Constance and Athelone – while you, Lise, and Uccelli stay here searching for the officer. You three go back inside Lise’s home.“Why does this place smells so terrible? It was nothing like this when I left!” Lise covers her face and cringes in disgust.“I have a theory or two…” You reply laconically. Maybe it was because everything was closed, maybe the experiments, or maybe because Barry is a stinky hobo, but who knows?“I’m going to clean the place…” Lise goes to one of the rooms in the back of the house, and comes back with a vacuum. When she tries to run it, it doesn’t work. “Are you fucking with me right now?” Lise says in exactly the tone you would expect. She kicks it once, then tries to turn it on. Then she kicks it again for good measure.“It was the pulse of energy from before that made everything useless inside this area, supposedly it wears off on it's own.” You explain.“I know my phone stopped working, but if that’s true, why the hell did that pig’s camera work?” Lise is definitely referring to Bradford, but her question actually stops you for a second.“I don’t know, actually…” That’s a great question.“Maybe it stops everything from the moment it goes off?” Uccelli suggests. Her eyes are going all over the place, probably noticing dust with those eagle eyes of hers.“But Osgood said his van started to malfunction when it got closer to this area, hell that’s the reason we helped push it a bit.” You remind your secret girlfriend.“We can discuss this later, now we should find that officer.”Where do you want to search for the officer?>The backyard of the house.>The room where Lise’s mom was ‘working’, whatever fucked up shit that means.>The first floor bathroom.>Randomly pick one of the rooms of the second floor.>Write In.[2/2]

“We should check on the room your mom came out of. Not sure what's in there.”“…I’m sure as hell not going first.” Lise says. She looks scared, and this is her own house she's in!“…A-and why is that?” Uccelli fails miserably to hide her fear.“Every night for the last month I heard voices... And I’m pretty sure they come from in there.” Lise trembles. “Never even attempted to peek inside.”“I’m sure something is in there.” You tell them both, who seem to lose some of their confidence. “I’ll go inside by myself, if you two are so scared…” Courage level 3, bitches.“Bah, we have dealt with scarier situations than this!” Uccelli pretends to muster courage. “Besides, I don’t want anything bad happen to you...”“I’m going.” You go upstairs. Uccelli trails behind while Lise keeps watching from the first floor.Without any fanfare, you walk up and kick the door open – you thought it was closed… Guess it wasn’t. Inside looks pitch dark. Uccelli yelps when the door opens completely. You turn around to stare at her.“I-I’m fine…!”“Are you sure?! You don't sound fine from here!” Lise yells from the first floor. She has no idea what happened, but the girl has a good ear – Uccelli basically whispered.“Don’t worry!” You yell back. You turn the room’s lights on… And nothing happens because nothing is working, so you use Philonune’s light weapon! There we go, you can see inside now! The room is awfully small for a weird experiment lab: inside there is a computer, a bookshelf, and some type of hospital bed. There is blood on the side of the bed, but aside from that, nothing that really screams ‘danger’.“He ain’t here.”“What’s going on in there?” Nina finally gets courage and peeks inside.“A homemade experiment lab. Or something.”“A what…?” Lise asks as she walks inside, her curiosity is stronger than her fright since she went up the stairs after you two. “This used to be a guest room…” She looks around curiously.“Why didn’t you say it sooner?” Uccelli wonders with honest curiosity.“I didn’t think it was relevant anymore. You know with all the blood, the screams and shit.” Lise responds nonchalantly, still looking around.“Watch your language.” Uccelli gets mildly annoyed.“S-sorry.” Lise actually apologizes, weird. Must be the teacher effect.“The officer is not here.” You tell them both, again stating the obvious.“Let’s check somewhere else.” Nina suggests, taking a step back away from the creepy furniture.“We should look deeper into the room. Maybe we can find something useful.” You tell your girlfriend, this is an opportunity you can’t waste.[1/2]
>>2219636“If the police get here and they find out we took something out of this room… Well, I don’t want to know what would happen.” Uccelli asks you to not act irrationally. I mean, you could do it quickly, can't you? And it's not technically stealing if Lise okays it!Suddenly the lights of the house go on. You hear the vacuum suctioning, now that it's powered on.“Shit!” Lise rushes back downstairs.“Let’s explore the rest of the rooms.” You walk out into the main hall and randomly open another door, it appears to be Lise’s room! It’s not exactly a mess but it’s not tidy either, like she had to run in the morning for her safety or something. Which she did, now that you think about it.“Hey guys, I found your cop!” Lise yells from afar. You go and Uccelli go back down to check. You’re in the backyard of the house now. Remember the big tree inside the yard? Well, guess who is stuck in it…“Hey, it’s you kid… and the bosses daughter… and some woman I don’t know… Hopefully you being here means everything is alright inside.” He’s upside down, feet stuck between the vines and branches. “Yeah, all it’s good.” You tell Officer Jackson. You feel actually relieved a little to know he's fine and not turned into some fucked up experiment or worse.“Care to help an officer of the law in distress?” He says in the most monotone and indifferent voice ever while waving his hand, poker faced. After helping the officer down, you all head back inside the house. You explain to the officer what happened, without really mentioning the monster fuckery that goes with it in detail.“So Yabe is fine?” He asks again, completely not caring about the explanation you gave him.“If you mean the other officer, probably. At least he’s going to get medical attention."“Good…” He nods and his shoulders get less tense in relief. "I don’t know if you can tell, but after today I’m out of duty… I can’t take this shit anymore.” His eyes look dead tired.“…” Lise just stares at him. He notices this.“Hey, it’s not your fault. And it doesn’t really matter now that everyone is fine, yeah?” He shrugs. “So let me ask you a question, kid.” He turns his stare on you, in full-on cop mode.“What is it?”“Why? You don’t seem close to the boss's daughter at all. And more importantly, why did you help me? You know what country we live in, right? We aren’t exactly the good guys here. I could easily have you arrested right now under any sort of excuse I want, and I would barely be questioned about my decision in the report. So why?"[2/?]
>>2219638How do you respond?>“I don’t know. It was in the heat of the moment.” Seriously, it’s a good deed regardless. And you did it without thinking too much about it, like a real decent hero would have! Probably.>“Because that’s what felt right to me.” You don’t have a reason really. The cop just happened to be there, and helping him gave you an advantage in the clusterfuck that ensued.>“You were in the way, and I had to deal with those freaks sooner or later.” Brutal honesty.>“So a certain someone would owe me.” Raise eyebrow and put on your poker face.>Write In.[3/3]

“Just doing my best.” You tell with all honestly; it’s your modus operandi and it’s not going to change any time soon. Not if you have anything to say about it.Both Lise and the Officer look bewildered by your answer, but their reaction makes Uccelli smirk, then break into a short laugh that doesn't sound mocking to your ears. It actually sounds nice.“He’s always like that.” She says proudly about you, smiling brightly. Guess that’s your charm, huh? She tried to reach for your arm, but pulled it back towards her. Probably reminded herself your relationship is a secret.“Hee hee…” A high pitched laugh from the officer. “ Might as well have said you did it for no good reason at all! Well, that’s not true; this line of work made me believe that the good in peoples' hearts wasn't there anymore. After all this shit and hearing you out, I think it’s this rotten police officer who didn’t want to see them there.” His eyes close, a calmed expression on his face.“Johnny…” Lise seems moved, she's trying to hold it in! This is actually getting really awkward, but in a sort of good way.“Even though I'd love to return the favor, kid, you'll have to forgive this law enforcer – I’m retiring today, no question. But since being crooked has always been part of my job whether I like it or not, and I feel in debt...” His smile, a not-quite-smirk, reminds you of your father’s, the exact same one he had when he left the country… “I don’t know shit about computers, but you mentioned one upstairs, right? You can take it if you want and I’ll cover this up, how does that sound? I know this lady here will be too glad to help.” He looks at Lise.“I don’t think some dumb computer is enough to repay him after that.”“It’s the first step anyway; you can’t leave the kid empty handed after doing something stupid like this.” The officer remarks.“Pfft… Of course not.” Lise smirks. The officer's smile slowly goes away as he pulls out his walkie-talkie and checks it.“Honestly, I don’t know why my pals are taking so long to get here, but you should leave before they get here if you want that computer.” He's fiddling with his walkie-talkie almost absentmindedly.“I need to see my parents. Where were they again?” Lise turns back to you, all business now.Time to get to Calamity’s clinic?>Take the computer with you and go to Calamity’s clinic! Maybe you can get it working at your house and figure out what to do from there.>Leave the computer, there are some things you don’t need to know. But go to Calamity’s clinic anyway, the others might still be there.>”Officer, do you like poker?” Maybe he could join the ‘you know what’. If he's retiring, then he's gonna have plenty of time for something new and exciting, eh? :^)>Write In.

“Well, we’ll take it… But before we leave, officer, tell me: Do you like poker?” You ask the good man, looking straight into his eyes so he knows what you're trying to say.“Hey I was corrupt, but not a fucking yakuza.” He smirks.“So that's a ‘yes’?” You smirk back.“What do you have in mind?” He’s now interested. You explain about poker night at Craig’s to the officer. He agrees to do it eventually, but you will have to call him. You have his number now.“Can I ask who tore down the door…?” Lise just realized someone broke the door. You stare at the officer, while he just quietly looks at the ceiling with a 'yeah yeah I know I fucked up' look. After you grab the pc and take it with you, the three of you left to the clinic… You wonder if everything went as planned? Sadly, we will know next time! Thanks for playing!
