BRUCE: You’re one to talk. I could have sworn Alfred said not to walk more than 500 yards from bed.
DICK: Eh, I'm more of a metric guy. Besides, “The Children of The Bat” wanted to speak with you.
BRUCE: You’re a better people person than me. The zone’s been up for a month and you’re already a community leader.
DICK: Yeah, but you’re “The Son of Kane” whatever that means. And the guy smuggling food water and wifi to the Narrows.
BRUCE: I can’t encourage my own worship. The power of The Bat has to be greater than any one man. If this turns into a cult of personality, I‘m just another rich man ruling the peasants. Gotham’s had enough of that.
DICK: So what are you gonna do?

You grab your thigh. And wince.

BRUCE: I’ve healed enough. It’s time I took the fight to Waller and Riddler.
DICK: Jolta! I’ve been ithcing to get back in the field.
BRUCE: Not you. You’re needed in The Narrows.
DICK: Bul! I’m almost as healed as you!

You put a hand on his shoulder and look him warmly in the eye.

BRUCE: You’re not being taken off the mission. You’re being given a bigger one. I’ve stirred a lot of hornet’s nests. The kind of people coming after me? The fight I’m facing? I might not survive it. I need to make sure the legend lives on, that the people are looked out for. Like I said-

You hand him a package. When he looks in it, his eyes widen.

BRUCE: The Bat is bigger than a man.

He looks up with a silent nod of respect. It’s time. You press the makeshift signal in your hand.
Its message is clumsy and probably painful, but you know it will be heard. In a few minutes, you feel it.

Welcome back to Batquest, everyone.
I am experimenting with a new citation format. It

1. Now uses Wikipedia style numbers to better show which lines are based on the work fo which writers
2. Is counting paraphrases and direct adaptation of lines as samples even if its not the same literal text.
For example, the original Mark Russel line was
"The truth is... there is no such thing as justice. But there are sometimes...consequences."
Even though I didn't use those exact words, it felt like a cheat since it was clearly pulled from that book.

Of course, I am always open to feedback so here is a sub-vote

> Keep the new citation format
>Use the old citation format (and use annotations to explain which lines are for which writers
>Other (write-in)

>Batman and superman story part 2.

"I don't trust you either Superman. You are a force beyond control and reckoning save a little green rock. However, My issues are mine, and the Mission is all that matters.

Waller is attempting to destroy the Batman by attacking his image, that of the champion of the people by reducing him to a corporate thug. It's clever, she always was.

Instead, I intend to ignore their main offensive and counter strike by exposing Ressce as the riddler. Tit for Tat. I require help."
that's my grand plan. If we can expose Nigma as the riddler, then his lawsuit will fall through completely. But it can't be the bat to bring him in, since that's an evident conflict of interests.

While I think it's a nice thing to strive for it's best addressed at either the start or end of posts instead of in the middle. An asterisk and other special characters could be a good indicator instead of bulky brackets, beeing a [1] at the end of a sentence is kind of clunky. Wikipedia decreases the size of these citations and elevates them. They're also meant to be clickable, but these obviously aren't clickable.

I for one like this new citation method

>>5939869
With comic books, you can have stuff like THIS!* but not in quests because of the way posts flow on a imageboard format. I've gotten used to the QM putting his citations at the start of posts so I get to conveniently see them alongside the post image. He could still TRY to break up his posts so that the dialogue greentext citations are at the bottom of his posts, but then he'd have to also put them past the player vote greentext options as well. I can imagine it still working in a way where it feels like every update post is itself a comic book page, with the dialogue citations at the bottom. On the other hand, I like having all the citations in one place. Moving the art ones down to the bottom with the text ones and AWAY from the post image they're all about, is absolutely stupid and would make the post formatting WORSE in my eyes.

Ultimately, the QM has 2 options for the dialogue citation placement
>at the top of the post with the other citations, as usual
>at the bottom of the posts, after the dialogue and text body of the update, and after the player vote prompts

[* See it in Batman Beyond issue #47!]

But the vote title citation being right below the vote titles? Now THAT I love
Speaking of formatting, the OP can use red text, blue text, other green text, bold, and italics. Maybe Hypercrisis Bro can benefit from trying those out somehow in his citation methods, but those formatting bounds [red]like this[/red] also occupies post character amount, don't they? Like how spoiler tag ones do? I forgot how it worked

BATMAN: I don’t trust you either. You have maximum power and minimal control. The only thing keeping you in check is a pound of rock I keep in my closet. But the mission takes priority. There is a government agent named Amanda Waller. She’s plotting against me. The lawsuit with Reese is a part of that. SUPERMAN: Lois, did you find anything else?
LOIS: Well “Andi” may have been stumped, but World’s Greatest Journalist Lois Lane wouldn't let that stop her. I looked up the white paper for “The Box” tech. It has just enough detail to show off how smart Reese is without giving away the secret.
SUPERMAN: He’s an egomaniac.

SUPERMAN: Friday talks to you?
LOIS: He’s made of metal and lives at the North Pole, who else is he gonna talk to? Santa Claus? But that’s not the point. >Disable the nukes + destroy the machine.
>>
>>5941967
Functionally, disabling the nukes and destroying the machine would be the same as just disabling the nukes, because the machine wouldn't have anything to control with the nukes shut off.
The choice between those options is between going to the pre-Riddle status quo of nuclear states, or setting earth back to ground zero nuclear arsenal wise.
>>
>>5941990
I disagree. I see destroying the machine as preventing them from undoing Superman's work, or trying to circumvent it by tinkering with the machine or system directly after he's left. They can always make a new one of these "controls ALL the nuke codes worldwide" things again somehow, but the destruction of this one is an extremely annoying setback for the ones behind this. Disabling the nukes and the codes has a much wider real world impact on the outside. Destroying the machine simply puts a stop to what Riddler and Waller and the rest are doing here.

Am I seeing it wrong then?

This is an interesting little choice here. There will be truly consequences no matter what we do.
>>
>>5941996
Building new nukes would entail building new nuclear control systems, especially after noticing *how* those nukes were destroyed.
In this scenario, disabling all the Nukes renders the control device useless, as Riddler and co. would have to make a new one for scratch for any new nukes that were built.
Think of it as the key to a totalled car.
>>
>>5941999
I see. Either way it seems we're going with disabling the nukes. Hideo Kojima is laughing somewhere in the world
>>

>what did Riddler major in again?
I'm not sure it's ever stated in the mainline comics if he earned a degree, but it's often implied he didn't. In his original origin he was a carny who cheated his customers. In Infinite Frontier he was the bastard son of a prestigious college's headmaster who never graduated due to a psychotic break over his father and teacher's treatment of him and his subsequent murder of a professor. In Batman TAS, he was a computer programmer who essentially created fulldive VR. In the newest Black Label title, he's a forensic accountant.

It's the letter "B." "B" is in both "bottom" and "blossom," but does not appear in "ground" or "rose." This may be referring to Riddler having a Plan B - that is, a backup plan.

>Alt-Text: Sketch of a worn-down gothic cathedral.

BRUCE: Bruce Wayne will be making an appearance. Batman was built for the shadows. I’m bringing these people into the light.
___
The old church is rundown, but when warmed by the masses of your people, it's a functional capital for The Narrows.
With only fifteen bodies in it, it's almost as cold as the snowscape outside. On one side of the table, you Abbot, and A’daire.
On the other, the heads of Gotham’s 12 other covens, including crime lord Black Mask.

BLACK MASK: Well, well, well. Silver Spoon decided to go slummin’.
ABBOT: Watch your mouth, Sionis
BLACK MASK: It’s Black Mask! I killed my false face a long time ago. Can your “Son of Kane” say the same?

He leans across the table to mean mug you, but a metallic arm pulls him back.

SHARD: Ignore him, Abbot. He is a thing of bluster and vanity. Not fit to join a coven, let alone run one.
BLACK MASK: You wanna start shaking things up too, Shard? I know a big fish that would love to use that arm as a toothpick.
A’DAIRE: Enough! We are the keepers of The Black Faith—disciples of Cain. We will not bicker as children.
BLACK MASK: Oh, so we’re all faithful now? Is that why you took over a whole Island without Manaheim’s sayso?

Bruno Manaheim. Heir to a smalltime Metropolis crime family.
He recently became involved with “Intergang,” a federation of organized crime centered on superscience.
You’ve been so focused on Riddler you haven't paid much attention to them, though it's no shock Black Mask is involved.

BLACK MASK: Oh yeah, I heard about how the big bad Bat
BLACK MASK: (mock-preacher voice): Led the people to salvayshun!
BLACK MASK: But why was he busting up my operations if he’s so down with the cause? And why am I talking to his whitebread employer instead of him?
BRUCE: I don’t employ Batman. He works for the people of Gotham, like I do.
BLACK MASK: Yeah, I saw your handouts. This ain't a charity ball, Wayne. I give the people the power of the future. You’re handing out government cheese.
SHARD: The fool speaks truth. I have bled and shed for the Faith. As Cain did before me. Your donations are no sign of dedication.

She says that word like it's profanity.

ABBOT: He is the son of Kane. The Twice-named whose blood anointed the holy land. nonbeliever.
SHARD: Then why is Daggett’s skull not split upon this table? Why did you stop at taking his paltry coin? Why did you not march on Crime Alley and rip down his castle in fire and blood?!
BRUCE: The people of The Narrows and The Alley have billions to their names now. They’re being trained. Preparing for the war to come.
SHARD: And what do you know of war? You’re a pampered child lashing out at the world. Throwing toys and gold at the shadows so you can imagine you are one of us. You. Are. Not.
BLACK MASK: The tin can is right. You wanna play ball, “Son of Kane?” Then play ball. Mr. and Mrs. Furry over here are supposed to take imports for Intergang. Is your Batfriend up to the task?
BRUCE: You want us to import mutagen.
SHARD: We demand you to bring in the lifeblood of our liberation.
A’DAIRE: The judgment of The Son of Kane is his own. He will serve the faith as he sees fit.
BLACK MASK: I don’t think Boss Bruno will like hearing that.

I dunno' anon... It's one thing to work with criminals, but to invite influence from NON-GOTHAM gangs?
>>
>>5947871
>Brotherhood of the Bat
This is SPECIFICALLY for mutagen control and prevention. The mutagen fucks with people too much. Black Mask won't like us being against it, after that event with the church and with Batman there too. But the mutagen is vile, too vile. We want the people of Gotham to stay themselves first. Maybe after the rich and the manipulative are ousted and the parasites are ridden, there can be slow and controlled mutagen use for evolution or whatever Ivy might want to call it... but not now. Not when the mutagen is a poison. Plus gang war will result in mass casualties. As much as it's powerful, Batman should NOT be a gang leader for long.
>>
>>5947887
I'm only in it for the "mutagen control" bit. It follows up previous efforts to keep it in check throughout the quest since it was introduced with Man-Bat. Otherwise I'd be all in on the Batman - Gang Boss option as the "Gotham first, for the people of Gotham", because that ties into Batman working with the Narrows and disenfranchised and low-criminal poverty elements, as the weak and downtrodden victims of Gotham's elite and controlling predators.
>>
>>5947890
>>5947889
If we crush all he other gangs and dominate Gotham, though, no mutagen will get in without us authorizing it... Nor will any gangster be permitted to murder wantonly or the lie, with us controlling what crime mafiasos are 'allowed' to do without immediate blacklisting from underground connections.
>>
>>5947887
Basically, I don't like Batman being too much of a criminal on his mission quest. I'm willing to go through with it because actually making Gotham a better place for people requires taking out those with the money and the evil, and the Narrows vastly intensifying in quality of life is a big step forward.

In the second vote, you will be given a limited pool of resources and vote on how to split those resources between a number of missions based on the results of the first vote.

And the blows will rain. I wonder how Batman will react once he finds out that Superman stopped thousands upon thousands of missiles worldwide... that only happened because of Riddler and Waller's machine.
Now this makes me wonder what would have happened if Superman destroyed it immediately instead of disabling it only for Riddler to go "sike!" and do it anyway. I wonder how Waller feels about the nukes all being launched WORLDWIDE, and all the nations of the world scrambling to find out why it happened under their noses and out of their control. I bet Waller will pin it on Superman, and then the entire world becomes set against him... except for the Bat and his city, the only place that DID get nuked. Or maybe she'll run damage control and aim her wrath at Riddler for even pulling what he did without her say-so. The thing secret intelligence types like this probably hate the most is people making large messes for them to clean up like the glorified spooky jannies they are. And this? Locking for 3 Missions.

You have 13 squads. Each player choose 3 Missions they want to go on and how many Squads they want to assign to each mission.
The more squads you assign to a mission, the higher it's chance of success. *

*For each mission, I will roll a d6. If the number of Squads you assigned to that mission is HIGHER than the mission's number you accomplish the mission. This means a Mission with 7 squads assigned to it is automatic victory.

The three missions that have the most total squads assigned to them will be chosen, and I will average everyone's squad numbers and apply then to those missions.

My rationale: The CBI is the biggest threat and also the removal of the CBI is what we staked our alliance (and thus legitimacy) upon. The protection of people from crime is what Batman as an individual/enterprise is best suited to, and focused upon. Providing aid is the least dangerous and least urgent, and has the fewest people who would object to it or try to prevent it.

We're doing this to get at Waller and Riddler and CBI overall. If our guy Turner shows up, things might get dicey. >>5952279
Whew. That was a pretty good spread cuz those two we got had just enough squads
Sucks for the civilians though
>>
>>5952290
We were spread thin, and we can only do what we can do. Keeping the streets safe and the CBI out was key. Any aid we provided, they would have undermined or sabotaged if they were still around (in the CBI's case) or preyed upon and infested with corruption (for nonaffiliated crime syndicates). We'll provide aid ASAP, once we have control.
>>
>>5952277
Fighting the CBI only won because we put 7 squads on it to ensure success, and the dice fucking pulled a 6 on us over it. Waller really REALLY pulled out all the stops, but Batman and the Religion of Crime covens miraculously won. I hope this is made apparent in the plot narration and story events somehow, because it writes itself.
Also we barely won protecting the people by 1. We were spread so thin the aid failed and got sabotaged, but Gotham's people still stand.

You were right on the money with your plan to put 7 squads on War in the Streets. It was the only thing that got us the victory over that 6 maxroll.

You stand before a warehouse, looking over your makeshift army shivering in the unnatural cold.
From all over the city they came to the Narrows. But what started as a meeting for intimidation, has become a rally for liberation.

BATMAN: I thank you for coming here. More than that, Gotham thanks you. Across those waters, our land is burning. Our people are crying out under the lash of those who value comfort and greed over humanity. The night is full of predators, but we will teach them how to be prey. The law of this world is a bludgeon, a tool for the elite to rule us, but I was raised on a different law. The law that life is precious. The law that we’re obligated to defend it and preserve its quality. The law that when innocence is threatened, no matter if it's by a gang, a badge, or a politician, you step in to save it. We’re united by faith, and tonight we’ll share that faith. Not in a heaven to come after death, but in a future worth living for, here and now!

While the crowd cheers you enter the warehouse and emerge with several broncos, led by your black steed.

APOCALYPSE: NEIGH!
BATMAN: Easy Apocalypse, our herds ride together tonight. Anyone who knows the saddle, come forward. We’ll be the vanguard. The Narrows and Bowery covens will distribute aid. Nightwing will guide you to the storehouses under Kane Bridge. The Southside, Old Gotham, Cauldron, and Burnside Covens are on safety patrol. We protect the people with our lives.
BLACK MASK: And what about the rest of us, chief?

It withstood gang wars, the gentrifiers on the Southside Tourism Board, and government occupation.
Now it might fall to teenagers with bricks.

JANET DRAKE: Please, stop! We don’t have any food left!
BROTHER OF THE WHITE NIGHT: Maybe if you bred less you wouldn’t have that problem!

The kid throws a brick, and you swat it away with your cachcaba.

NIGHTWING: We’re all just trying to get through the night. Why don’t we put the bricks down?

The “leader” of the gang steps up. He’s barely out of middle school.
What’s even the goal here, tryouts for the Aryan Brotherhood?
They’re just scared kids lashing out at people they were told are the enemy.

BROTHER OF THE WHITE NIGHT: They’re hoarding! Just like they always do when shit goes down. They probably SENT this bomb!
NIGHTWING: I’m here to help. There’s a food station at the Narrows.

You turn to the shopkeeper.

NIGHTWING: For everyone.

The “brothers” move closer, bricks held high.

BROTHER OF THE WHITE NIGHT: Tell us where it is!

You look inside the restaurant, it has an entire family in it.
You could take these wannabees with an injured chest or while keeping the bystanders safe.
But you can’t do both. Not alone at least.

DAISY: WHINNY!

An army of Coven acolytes surrounds you, led by Sister Flay on horseback. The brothers drop bricks. You hope only literally. You smile.

Countless history books, postmortems, and government files would be written on what happened in Gotham this night.

The hearts of the people who saw heard the hoof steps crashing through the streets, melting away violence like the snow they trampled.

Sharing food, putting out fires. Keeping each other safe. And when that fails, there’s you.

CHASE: CBI protocol for an EMP attack means all assets will be transferred to a bug-out base for evacuation. I memorized its coordinates.
TURNER: This will be a chance to hit them back, and stop whatever Waller and Riddler have planned.
BATMAN: Why should I trust you, Chase? You’re not the rebel type.
CHASE: I joined the CBI to stop freaks like you from getting themselves and civilians hurt. Waller’s gone off the rails, she might as well be wearing a cape and mask herself.
BATMAN: An alliance of convenience, then. We take down Waller and you go back to your jobs.
TURNER: Not me. When this blows over...

He puts on a high-tech Tiger Mask.

BRONZE TIGER: I have a different fight.
CROC: We’re good then. I see your rodeo army, let’s crack some fed heads.
CHASE: We’re not killing anyone. We break into the base, get Waller and her intel, and get out.
BATMAN: My people will act appropriately. Make sure you do the same.

BLACK MASK: Eat lead, coppers! HAHA!

He stands on a generator and fires rounds of bullets. You pull him down.

BATMAN: Stay in cover and conserve ammo! Bat-smoke!

You throw a gas pellet and advance, the smoke keeping you out of sight.

BLACK MASK: We’re calling our attacks now? Sweet! You think I should do it too? I could be like “Gun!”

Turner joins you in the smoke, knocking out several former allies.

BRONZE TIGER: SUEY! Some teammate... SUEY! You got there.
BATMAN: Black Mask is under control, all the covens are.
BRONZE TIGER: Cults, monsters, and aliens. It really is a New Earth.
BATMAN: Chase said the main tent is to our left.
BRONZE TIGER: Cover me!

He barrels through the agents like a whirling dervish.
Your suppressing fire keeps the shooters away and any who get in close range meet his claws. Chase yells from a hill.

CHASE: Something’s wrong! They’re fighting too hard to defend canned food!

Then the sounds hits. A screech like a bird with a freshly wrung neck. EMP resistant jetpacks! Seven armored soldiers rocket from tents firing on you from the skies.

BRONZE TIGER: Peacemakers! They’re not even allowed in The States!

You sprint from cover, running toward Apocalypse, their saddle has your last hope. The Peacemaker rounds riddle your armor, they kiss you with bruises that ache as you open the saddlebag.

BLACK MASK: Jeez Bats, this better be worth it.

You pull out a large cannon and fire.

BATMAN: It is.

The missile arcs through the sky goes straight for the Peacemakers, and misses. A bat-shaped smoke cloud fills the sky.

BLACK MASK: We’re screwed!
PEACEMAKER: By the powers granted by contract with The United States Government, the Pax Institute orders you to surrender!

Black Mask stands.

BLACK MASK: I give u-

You pull him down.

BATMAN:
Wait for it.

It starts slow, like the first drops of rain on a spring evening. Then it swells until the ground itself is shaking with living thunder.

Gotham Heights, Robinson Park, Bristol, West End, Otisburg, Tricorner, Old Gotham, and the Finacial District all unified in a hurricane of meat and gristle.
And Lassos.

ORCA: YAH!!

The Dolphin-woman throws her rope with superhuman strength, snarring a Peacemaker by the leg.

She swings him into the other Peacemakers, knocking them to the ground. They look up and see themselves surrounded by dozens of your allies.
BLACK MASK: You might wanna give up now. No shame is surrendering. Uh, right Bats?
CHASE: Let your trick-or-treaters tie them up. We need to see what the Peacemakers were guarding.
Your Bat-Gamma Survey Meter goes off. The radiation isn’t lethal, but it is intense.

>Alt-Text: Comic cover of a skinny emaciated Superman wearing a body suit inside a metal tube

You enter the tent. Inside is a metal tube glowing with a sickly green color. Within the tube is Superman, but not as you know him.
His skin is pale, his physique thinner, and his eyes dimmed. Green crystals are plugged into the tube's exterior.

SUPERMAN: Save them. Have to save them.
CHASE: This chamber is powered with Kryptonite.
BRONZE TIGER: This doesn’t make sense, how did they even catch him?

You unplug the Krystals and store them in your lead-lined utility belt. The green light fades away.
After a few seconds of silence, Superman takes a breath and smashes through the metal tube.
He’s still strong, but he seems... off.

SUPERMAN:
Did I stop the missile?
CHASE: You mean the EMP attacks?
SUPERMAN: So it didn't land. I got all of them
BRONZE TIGER:
All of them? There were multiple nukes? And you stopped them?!

That explains how he was weak enough to catch.
Your studies on “Kryptonite” and skin samples you collected from Clark showed his biology digests radiation.
Large amounts of it disrupt this process. Poisonous light. The weakened champion staggers up.

SUPERMAN: I’m okay for now, but we have to stop them.

He puts on a brave face, but even with the Kryptonite away, he’s still nowhere near full power.
He’s far stronger than a mortal man, but no longer godlike.
Your experiments show that high doses of solar radiation will help him recover, but if you reveal this treatment he’ll be able to heal if you ever attack him with K Radiation.

This line is pure gold. Sometimes I forget he's the reason Nightwing got hurt and Ivy had to be mutated to survive. Roman would probably shrug and go "hey it was bound to happen" not knowing how comic book fated Isley was. Even in a /co/ quest on 4chan it's been a miracle we kept her unmutated for this fucking long. Green. Glorious bountiful green. For several days you have been in the emerald embrace of sensations there are no words for.
As if something as crude as a mouth could ever capture the divinity you are experiencing.
But then you felt a sharp pain stab your very soul.
Your overloaded with the screams of a trillion exploding cells, cut from life’s tapestry by a cruel mockery of the sun’s warmth.
Now you feel a cold. Not the serene stillness of winter, where seeds wait to spawn anew. But the sterile nothingness of death with no birth.
A taste only Man could provide. You burn from this cruelty, and your pain summons a guide.

BOG VENUS:

No words are spoken. You are far beyond the chaotic chatter of the animals.
Your roots are entangled with a life older than everything you know yet close enough it feels like a sibling.
The red meat she sprouted from was a healer. One that knew plants as you did.
Communed with the green even with her clumsy bones and mortal skin.
And when that shell decayed as all do, what was left became Bog Venus.

IVY:

Where? What? Why? The vestiges of your mammal brain fire a thousand questions.
Bog Venus stands firm as the forest she grows from.

BOG VENUS:

Yes. You know now. There are no individuals in The Green. You are in the presence of The Parliment of Trees.
Champions from all ages, reborn to serve the great circuit that girds the planet. You are to be of their number.
You shall shed your Red prison and embrace life as an Elemental. But what champion will you be?

Ivy got funding, space, time, encouragement, and help. Everything a plant girl with not a lot of good research opportunities and grant money needs to grow. Batman and Nightwing fought every step of the way alongside her. From a meta perspective, it took a LOT of effort to keep her from her fate. But even in a /qst/, fate can be a bitch. Unlike that, Ivy isn't as much of a bitch as in canon thanks to all the factors.

Anyway, I don't think Thorns fits with all the character development she went through. If this were similar to canon, I would roll with that for it being fitting. Passion's Fruit works because Ivy got into all this for a reason. She knows how bad Gotham and this world is because of the status quo. But that status quo is not there by itself. Others with power seek to make it unbreaking for them. This world is dying, huh? Would it still be dying if it wasn't being actively choked? Can't Ivy's roots erode the monolith and bring it down from under them? Why not? So that's why Fruit works best, in addition to the care she received from Batman/Nightwing. I want Roots as secondary because she's still Ivy despite being lighter than her canon version, and this Batman is different too. And besides, I always thought being anti-tech was stupid if you're a plant researcher and you used tech to get any results and to keep yourself employed. And plants need animals to survive and propagate too. What, you wanna kill all the bees because insects aren't plants? Enjoy having almost zero pollination. What, you want only plants to exist? Eventually plants will evolve and you might get plant humans later somehow. Then they'll create tools and society, and you'll be okay because their flesh and skin are green and not red pink? Isn't that racist? lol I'm rambling here

Basically our Ivy is good, and despite her core character cynicism she should not forget the good done for her sake, even in this critical moment.

Oh shit! Sorry to hear it, QM. I hope it turns up.
>>

How do you lose a laptop?
>>
>>5961384
I was practicing driving and had my laptop in my bookbag in case I got a call and had to do some work.
I almost turn into the wrong lane and in the chaos, I swap drivers seats with my partner who was the person I was doing my driving practice with. We drive back to my condo and when I check the car, the bag is gone.
Somehow someway (the mechanics still confuse me) it fell out or something.

Oh.That can't be good. Do you have a way to track the laptop, or is it gone with the wind?

Ever since a clumsy cell tried to consume your blue-green forerunner and instead was blessed with the gift of the sun, the goal of The Parliament of Trees has been to provide for this brutal realm.

Superman: Maybe I should handle the talking. Dr. Ivy. We’re on your side. We want to save this city, too. Let’s work together.
Ivy: I…don’t know you. But we’ve felt you. Your warmth flows through our phytochromes.
Superman: You can trust us. I-what’s happening?

Vines crawl across his skin. Aerial roots snake through the primary colors of his alien outfit.

Superman: Rapid growing microflora. Clever. The park is so full of it, I didn’t notice the spores on me.

He’s calm but almost immobile. You reach for him and find your boots stuck to the floor.

Ivy: How do you like my lichen? I tried decades to perfect the Asterochloris blend in a lab. Now I can do it just by breathing.

You struggle in vain as the organism covers your suit. You look on as Ivy stares at Superman.

Ivy: You know, Batman, lichen is neither plant nor fungus. It is a fusion. The fungus provides protection and the algae nutrition. Combined life. We can do the same, Superman. I can feel the sun inside you. You will power Earth’s Green Utopia.

You can't move. You’ll have to solve this issue with not with gadgets or combat, but words.

Try to snap Superman out of it. He’s stronger than he thinks he is. You know he’s healed enough to break free.

Tell Ivy the mutagen has warped her mind and that remaking the world in her image by force is wrong.

We would be hypocrites to deny force. This batman uses every trick in his city, including gangs.

But Ivy, you are not building anything better, you are abandoning the people of Gotham to the dark and the predatory. Help us get rid of Waller, Help the Mission step forward and when the crisis has past, we can turn our attention to building Harmony with men and foliage.
You know Me and Dick, have our convictions to the Mission ever waivered? Have we ever dismissed a branch as not worth the efforts rather than something that must be done later?

Just off the top of my head, waste desposal could be revolutionised for plastic and sewage, with both our companies of supertech and wayne corp we can push the medicines world wide. Crops and fertilisers can be magnified and spread.

This will have political pressures and economic turmoil but we can oush through it.
And all it takes is keeping a promise.

Cleaning the Gotham River a big enough project to achieve? Cut off the waste dumping factories? Do you think eventually, Gotham can be beautiful and a bit greener, while still remaining Gotham? I feel the pain of all those allergies triggering though...
