After gaining all seven Dark Dragon Balls, thanks in no small part to Karn and his family's efforts, Mechikabura prepares for his revival: the Dark King's return is nigh! And with their powers gained in the effort to combat the God of Destruction, Lord Beerus, Karn and Meloka seek to master the strength of gods in preparation for the coming final battle between the Time Breakers and the Time Patrol. However, despite the PTO now comfortably ruling the majority of the known universe, threats still lurk there in the shadows. Beings who, for their own reasons, seek revenge against the Saiyan race. Will the Saiyans prevail? Or will their efforts all be in vain, overcome by their enemies past, present, and future?

You the players control Karn, the Berserker God with the power to fight against gods and other divine beings. From his lowly beginnings as a Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733, he has now become the strongest Saiyan of his time. Wielding the Berserker Soul, a power born of rage and hatred now combined with That Which Should Not Be, Karn has gained powers suited to facing the divine, and even those who wield the powers of Order, Law, and even Time itself. But will this newfound strength be enough to overcome the threats headed your way? Only time will tell, and your choices could be the difference between victory and defeat, winning and losing, even existence and not.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

With the battle with the Hydae, Karn's deathmatch against the Supreme Kai of Time after combining the two Berserker Souls and the following battle with the Time Patrol, it was finally time for Meloka Wolbach's third birthday. Every one of her uncles and aunts and both sets of grandparents, as well as several family friends and Chilli's various allies from the world the Crimson Demons hail from all came to attend, but soon a surprisingly massive powerlevel for the planet is detected rapidly-approaching the party, Karn transforming into his base Berserker form, flying to meet the threat only to encounter a young-seeming girl who turned out to be part dragon. Calling herself Milim Nava, Karn battled the girl, demonstrating the difference in their power until she surrendered. The rest of Meloka Wolbach's party went off without a hitch, not a single Time Patroller in sight the entire day. And as we rejoin Karn, the party over, you are preparing to teleport your family back to your home on New Salda.

“Thank you. For everything.” Chilli, your oldest-born son says, the two of you clasping forearms. “Next time, I'll be there.”
“Of course son. I'll be counting on you.” you reply, the two of you not saying anything else. But as you let go, raising your right hand to your forehead, he speaks up again.
“Hold on, let me.” he says, creating a small crystal in his hand and throwing it to the ground. The crystal rapidly grows into an arch, a portal forming from it that leads back to Dr. White's medical bay on your ship. “Here.”
“Appreciate it son.” you say, nodding to him then turning to his wife and children.
“Byeeee Grandpa! Byeeee Grandma! Bye everybody!” Meloka Wolbach, the three year old birthday girl calls, waving to you all.
“Baaaah!” the youngest says, not raising a hand but staring at you all with wide eyes. You wave back, saying your goodbyes then walk through the portal. Only to, as soon as you step down onto the metal floor, immediately feel a raging fire bloom in your chest.

“Mom, do you feel that?” Chaya asks, your eldest daughter's power dwindling to almost nothing, mortal strength turning to divine. You turn, seeing her and your wife Meloka both having transformed, as well as Broly, the kids, even your youngest Karn Jr has gone into his Super Saiyan 3 form.
“This energy...” she says, trailing a moment off as you see her eyes widening, bead of sweat running down the side of her face. “Beerus.”

Oh. Oh shit.

“Meloka, guard everyone.” you say, tapping into that blazing emerald fire burning within. Your aura surges, body expanding as you transform. Your Berserker God power explodes out, floor cracking and bending under the weight of your world-breaking power. You feel yourself growing larger and larger, power swelling greater and greater. Immediately you sense Meloka and Chaya's strengths, relative to your own, as well as the much larger divine power radiating from nearby. And without a moment's hesitation raise your right hand to your forehead. Teleporting to Camali's side, you appear back in the mess hall, standing at the opposite end of the long table to the god. Beerus the Destroyer is sitting in the seat, clearly relaxed as his attendant Whis stands idly behind him. “Lord Beerus.”

“Ah, General Karn. There you are.” he says, looking you up and down once with a critical eye. “I see. So, it is true then.”
“What's true?” you ask, the Destroyer rising up to his feet, walking over to you. As he gets close, every single instinct in your body starts screaming at you to flee, to get the hell out of there and away from this god. But, you hold your ground, not backing down as he looks up to you. He looks you over, showing no inclination that he's worried about you attacking him. “What are you doing?”

“Oh, don't mind me. I'm looking over this new power of yours, trying to find out how it works.” he says, you looking from the Destroyer to his attendant.
“Lord Beerus was curious how you'd increased your strength so much since your encounter, how you were able to overpower the Supreme Kai of Time's control.” the attendant says, you feeling your eyes widen a bit. So, he could tell the difference in your power from then and now. “A truly incredible feat, one almost unheard of.”

But what do you do? Should you tell him the truth, how your power comes not only from this timeline but a whole other reality? Or should you not tell him, to not let him in on the truth of what's going on. He is still a god, one with no allegiance to you or your family.

Well? How do you answer him?
>Tell him what you'd done as well as how you'd achieved it
>Tell Beerus about combining the Berserker Souls into one, but leave out how you'd done it. Don't want him to know Divine Dragon Force isn't awake, after all
>Only say that you finally tapped into this form's full power, don't explain how or what you'd done to achieve it

“That is because of what happened this morning.” you say to the assistant and Destroyer, both raising their right brows near-simultaneously. “But to explain that, I need to go back a bit.”
“Oh?” Whis mutters, sounding intrigued.
“Well then, I'm all ears.” Beerus says, turning his back and walking back to his seat, sitting and leaning it back onto the back legs. “Tell us your tale, Saiyan Karn.”

“The short version is that our reality isn't the only one.” you say, looking down at your right fist where your sleeping Stand is connected. “And in a previous reality, I had also attained this power. The strength of the Berserker God. But, in that reality the war between the Supreme Kai of Time and Mechikabura was lost by the Kai, who erased all of existence. All of that version of me that survived was my Stand and the Berserker Soul connected to it. And years ago it found and joined with me.”

“So, what you're telling me is this Berserker God power of yours isn't your own, but the power another version of you attained?” Beerus asks, sounding less impressed.
“No, that's only the first half.” you say, a look of realization coming over the Destroyer's assistant while Lord Beerus only looks confused. “Then, when we did the Super Saiyan God ritual, I unlocked the Berserker Soul of this reality as well. And, this morning, I finally managed to merge them together.”
“You what?!” the attendant says, a hard look coming to the blue-skinned man's face as he glares at you, the Destroyer himself looking worriedly at his attendant's tone. “Did you seriously merge yourself with a power that should no longer exist?”

“Yes. And it's because of this that I was able to fight and take down the Supreme Kai of Time herself.” you tell them, allowing your Berserker God aura to flare up a bit. You purposefully leave out HOW you were able to merge them together, you don't want someone who could potentially destroy you to know that your Stand, thanks to that wish, is out of commission. “And once I master this power, she won't stand a chance.”
“Of course she won't. You combined your power with a power from a space where time itself does no longer exist.” the attendant says, his expression deadly serious. Your instincts flare even worse than when Beerus approached, whoever or whatever he is, he is far more dangerous than the God of Destruction. “However you managed to pull this insanity off, I must say it is impressive.”

“Yes, this power is quite interesting.” Lord Beerus says, giving you a nod. “I hope you don't stop here though.”
“Stop?” you ask him, feeling rather confused. “What do you mean?”
“I mean for your continued growth.” the Destroyer says. “I want you to keep getting stronger. And, perhaps, one day, you'll be strong enough.”
“Strong enough for what?” you ask him, still not understanding his intentions. But at this he gives you a grin, smirking at you in self-satisfaction.

“For us to fight again, of course.” the God of Destruction says. “And, perhaps, next time I won't have to hold back quite as much.”

Well? How do you respond to THIS?

“Well, I'll do my best. I'm not slowing down any time soon.” you tell him, clenching your fists and powering up even further. Not enough to damage the mess hall, but the entire ship starts trembling. “And one day, I'll surpass even you, Lord Beerus.”
“Ohh?” he replies, grinning maliciously. “You think that you, a mere mortal, can surpass a God of Destruction like myself?”
“I already surpassed two gods, what's a third?” you reply, Beerus showing his teeth as he stands, clenching his own fists. And then his power blazes, blowing the tables and chairs away as his might suddenly surges. You raise your own power in response, both of your strengths rising. Your powers kick up a windstorm in the room, the chairs and then the tables starting to spin around the room. With Lord Beerus before you showing his strength, your Berserker God might keeps rising higher and higher, shrinking the gap between your strengths. But as you unleash more and more power, your strength rising higher and higher to match his own, suddenly you feel something in your chest snap. “Guh-!”

Your power suddenly vanishes as you feel something inside you break, everything going dark. You never even feel yourself hit the ground, finding yourself once more in that familiar dark void.

“What? Tch.” you say to yourself, wondering why your power suddenly cut out like that. Did you draw up too much power? Or were you still weakened by what happened earlier, with combining your Berserker God with the demonic Supervillain power you'd used? Either way, you're now down and out, leaving you completely at the Destroyer God's mercy. “No. Like HELL I'm going to sit here and let him roam free!”

Like HELL you're going to stay down and unconscious before the God of Destruction. Just like the first time you'd met, Freeza having to save your life when you'd pushed yourself too far into the Ultra Super Saiyan power. You dig deep, feeling that emerald flame deep within feeling almost completely burnt out. Seems you've used up as much of that power as you can, you'll have to rely on your own might to wake up. But, as you try and come up with a way to wake yourself up, quickly come to the realization that you're stuck. There's nothing you can do.

“This can't be it.” you say, struggling to wake yourself back up. But nothing you do has any effect, until suddenly you feel a familiar warmth flowing into your body. Energy, from someone else is flowing into you, your strength rising back up from the abyss it had been dropped down to when you passed out. Your power rises higher and higher, the darkness beginning to crack around you. Then as it fully breaks your eyes open, seeing your wife's face in front of you in her Super Saiyan God form.

“KARN!” she exclaims, wrapping your head in her arms and pressing herself to you. “You're okay!”
“What happened?” you ask her through her chest, your wife pulling back after a moment. However, before she could answer, Lord Beerus himself speaks up.
“It would seem that your body couldn't handle your power.” the Destroyer says, looking quite smug. “The results of your battle earlier against the Supreme Kai of Time, no doubt. That said, you impress me, Saiyan. You never give anything less than everything you've got. Comparing today to the first time we met, I'd say that you could probably be strong enough to be a sparring partner for me, in another century or two.”

“Haaaah, well I'll accept it as honest praise.” you say with a sigh, trying to rise. Yet even with the power Meloka'd given you, you still can't rise on your own. But your wife, ever at your side helps you stand up, floating beneath your right arm and supporting your weight. “So, Lord Beerus. How long are you planning to stay here on our world?”
“I had already eaten some of Silver's most delectable cooking, so I had been waiting here for your return.” the God of Destruction says, rising back up to his feet. “And now that I've seen this new power of yours, however briefly, I think that my business for the day is done. I'll be seeing you, Saiyans. Come on Whis.”

“Of course, my lord.” his attendant says, following the Destroyer out the door.

“Karn, are we-?” Meloka asks, you shaking your head tiredly.
“Let me sit down, hun.” you say, your wife immediately, slowly lowering you down to the ground. You take your meditative pose, hands resting palm-up on your knees, legs crossed as you sit slumped over. “Thanks.”

You then take a deep breath in, straightening your back as you fill your body with air then slowly exhale, closing your eyes.

“I need to recover for a minute or two, or I'm not going to be able to move.” you tell her tiredly, digging deep into yourself. Focusing on your breathing, the methodical, repetitive nature of it, you slowly feel your strength start returning. It is slow at first, like nursing a pile of dying embers back into a fire, but over the next several minutes slowly rebuild your strength. While you're doing this, from your ki sense can tell that your family returned, Meloka returning to her base form as Silver and his apprentices start emerging from the back. You can feel them starting to rearrange the room, opening your eyes. Then with a bit of effort, start using your telekinesis to start putting everything back. “Sorry about that everyone.”

“Don't sweat it General. Nothin' was destroyed, so's far as visits from Lord Beerus go, this was a success.” he replies, leaning against the wall as his people finish putting the seats to the tables. “You actually had him sweatin' there, before you passed out an' all. I think you managed to impress 'em.”
“Thanks. But I don't feel too impressive right now.” you reply, and with one final breath in and out push yourself back up to your feet. Your body's a little shaky, but you can stand and move around under your own power now, and should be fine for the rest of the day. Unless something else happens, Meloka telling you telepathically she's heading up to the training area with the students. “Next time he shows up, I'll hopefully be fresh and able to use one hundred percent.”
“You mean that wasn't your full strength?” the redheaded apprentice says, looking genuinely confused. “So, what? You unlocked another form beyond that one already?”

“Hahaha, not quite.” you reply, sensing your students gathering for today's training. Feeling them, as well as many of your children and Meloka all going, so raise your right hand to your forehead. “But one day I will.”

And with a thought teleport away, leaving the Mess Hall behind and appearing before your students.

The day's training goes well, despite you being unable to directly spar with your students. You have Broly stand in for you, feeling your own power through him as he takes on his Primal form, emerald aura blazing. For just a moment you wonder why, why his power now feels like your own, but then are called to help one of the newer students complete the first throw you'd taught to Meloka, that your father'd taught you all those years ago and forget about it until training is over. At the end you congratulate everyone on their progress who've been with you, encourage the newer students to keep pushing themselves to improve before dismissing them all. But then the thought about Broly's power comes back to your mind, how it felt like your own when he transformed.

But do you approach the subject? Or just let it be for now?
>Call for your son to come with you, fly out over the sea where no one else can observe or listen in without you noticing
>Tell him you and he need to talk, then take him into one of the gravity chambers and ask him about it in private
>Wait until the night before approaching him about it, give him some time to approach you first before saying anything
>Telepathically ask your son about what you've been feeling, ask if his Berserker power has felt any different to him today
>Leave it alone for now, if he wants to talk about it he'll approach you and if he doesn't then you shouldn't broach the subject until he's ready

“Where is-Broly! We need to talk.” you say, turning to your son and calling out to him. He's back in his base form and seems surprised by this, but nods to you as you jump off the gravity chamber roof, landing gently on the ground. You then turn, opening the chamber door as Broly lands beside you, you leading him in. He follows close behind, shutting the door behind him as Meloka reaches out to you telepathically.
“Is everyone okay?” she asks, you giving her a quick reply of your suspicions and wanting to confront it now. After a moment's silence she just says “Good luck”, ending the mental link as you turn to face your son. Who looks almost nervous.

“Did I do something wrong?” he asks you. “If I didn't do something right, let me know so I can-”
“No no no, nothing like that. You did great today as my stand in.” you tell him earnestly, giving your son a smile. Which you can see the relief almost wash over him, the tension leaving his body. “No, this is about what happened today.”

And immediately he's tense again.

“What do you mean?” he asks, seemingly worried again.
“When you transform, have you noticed anything different?” you ask him, Broly seeming confused.
“I don't know what you're talking about.” he says, sounding unsure.
“Come on son, you know what I mean.” you tell him, gesturing to his transformed state. “I can sense it.”

“Sense it?” he asks, raising a brow as he's now confused. “What do you mean?”
“I'll show you. Power back down.” you tell him, to which Broly complies and reverts back to his base form. Losing several feet of height and hundreds of pounds of muscle in an instant. His armor even returns, somehow. Which not even Towa has found a reasonable explanation for over all these years with Future Chaya. “Alright, now just go into your Berserker form.”

“Right.” he replies, clenching his fists and slowly powering up. His aura starts glowing emerald as you feel your power flowing into him, the strength of the Berserker Soul flowing into him. “HAAAAAAAA!”

He transforms with a roar, growing several feet taller, much more muscular as his power surges several hundred times higher than his base. Yet you can feel the strength of your Berserker Soul is what's flowing into him, bolstering his transformation's power even though the soul's power is reduced to the lowest it's been since combining the two together.

“It's as I thought.” you say, tapping into the Berserker Soul and with a flash take on your base Berserker form. “Can you feel it now, Broly?”
“What?” he says, looking from you down to his hand, then back to you. “What's this? Your power, it's...”
“The same.” you finish for him, Broly's eyes wide in shock. “Our powers now come from the same source.”

“What? How, wait. Now?” he asks, clearly confused. “What do you mean, now? What happened Dad?” he asks, clearly confused and a bit worried. “Did I, am I...? Is my power draining your own?”
“Your strength came from Miyashi's soul, the first Berserker of this timeline.” you tell him, sitting down while powering down, and gesturing for him to do the same. “Might want to sit down, there's a lot to say.”

He does, and so you lay it all out for him. How, when you'd completed the ritual gained access to Miyashi's Berserker Soul and the power of the Berserker God, but also how this reality isn't the first. How Divine Dragon Force came from another reality, bringing the Berserker Soul from that now non-existent reality along with it. Which is how you were able to go into your own Berserker Saiyan power before. But that, today, you'd merged the two together. And now the Berserker Soul itself is far stronger than ever, pressing a hand to your chest. With a moment's focus start drawing the power of the soul out, the emerald flame becoming visible to you both even through your armor.

“That's....” he says, staring at the flame and seeming completely mesmerized by it. “The Berserker Soul....”
“Yes. That's the source of the Berserker power.” you tell him, letting it fade back away after a couple moments. “For both of us now. When you fight to maintain control, did you ever fight the embodiment of Miyashi before? A guy who was also in the Berserker God form?”
“Yes.” he says, looking more troubled after a second. “But today, when I transformed, it was.... Different. I didn't see him anymore. Instead, it was.... You.”

“That's what I was worried about.” you tell him, sighing out.
“Does... Does this mean that you don't want me to transform anymore?” he replies, brows furrowed in concern. But you also see something else there, relief maybe? Or something more?

Well? How do you answer this?
>Tell him that he no longer has to fight against that rage, you can take away the struggle of dealing with the Berserker's wrath from him forever
>Ask what he wants to do, if he wants to keep this power or if he wants to be free of it forever. If he doesn't want the burden of the Berserker power and anger anymore, you can free him from it now

“No son, that's not what I want.” you tell him, reaching over and placing your right hand on his shoulder. I want to know what you want.”
“What I want?” he asks, looking up to you. And for just a moment he looks just like he did when you first adopted him into your family, a small, lost child, looking for someone to guide him. “What do you mean?”
“What do you want to do, son?” you ask him seriously, placing your other hand on his other shoulder as well, staring at his eyes. “Do you want to keep this power? Or do you want to be free of it forever? If you don't want the burden of the Berserker power and anger anymore, I can free you from it now. You don't have to live with it anymore.”

“Wait, really?” he asks, his eyes suddenly lighting up. “You...You can do that? How?”
“The Berserker Soul is mine now, I think I can ” you tell him, taking your right hand from his shoulder and tapping your chest. “If you want, I think I can cut you off from it. You may not be as strong without it, but you won't have to fight to control your anger anymore.”
“I... I can really be free of it...” he says, looking down from you at his hands. “It is something I don't have to fight anymore?”

“That's right. If you want, I can take it all away.” you tell him honestly. “When you transform, I can feel you pulling power from the Berserker Soul. With a bit of practice, I think I can stop it. So you can become a more 'normal' Super Saiyan, no longer having to worry about it. But that's only on one condition.”
“What?” he asks, looking confused to you. “What kind of condition do you mean?”

“I won't do this unless you're sure about it. Unless you WANT to not have this power anymore, I won't stop it. You were given this power by Miyashi, he chose you for whatever reason. You didn't have a choice in that. But I won't do that.” you tell him seriously. “This is still YOUR power as well, as far as I'm concerned. And I won't take it away from you without your say so. I've fought for years for you all to have your choices. And even if I disagree with some of the choices you and your siblings have made, I've never stopped you all from making them. At the end of the day, you are the one who has to live with that choice's consequences.”

He's silent at this, looking down at his hands again as you let go of his shoulders. Sitting across from your son, you watch as he's clearly thinking it all over. What you've told him clearly rattled him, Broly rethinking everything for well over a minute. Then, sighing out, he looks back up to you, looking as if he's aged a few years since the conversation started.

“This....Is a really big decision.” he says to you, sounding completely serious. “Too big to just make right here and now. I'm going to need to think this over.”
“Of course. Take as long as you need son.” you tell him, pushing yourself upright and offering him your hand. “Take as long as you need. Whenever you've made your decision, let me know son.”
“Thanks Dad.” he replies, taking your hand and letting you help him up, the two of you going to the door. You open it and let him out first, you shutting the door behind you. The rest of your day plays out as usual, nothing else notable happening as you finish your day, climbing into bed with your wife and going to sleep.

The rest of the week goes by as normal as well, your daily training sessions pushing yourself and your allies further and further. Each day you take on your Berserker God power to spar with Freeza, his Golden might growing greater and greater by the day. Each day with your students, you push each and every one of them to be better, to strive for greatness on their own. And not only them, but you push your children to all be better as well, pushing them to all grow and develop their talents. But after a full week into the new year, after training your students for the day, you feel something's... Off. Almost as if something or someone is hiding, studying you as your students start to disperse.

But what do you do about this?

My contribution to today's Karnage was impeded by my having to deal with my brain-addled grandfather. Bloke receives a letter from his doctor saying 'hey, we have an appointment slot available for you at [the start of November]. If this time-slot suits you, please give us a call in the next 5 days to confirm." Somehow the barely-literate moron (which was the case even before he got old) interprets this as, "Hey, make the 150-mile-each-way trip today to come in and see us in person." So he gets there, and the doctors just stare at him, saying why the fuck are you here, go home. And now he's fighting with them.

What a moron.

Standing atop the gravity chamber, looking over your students that feeling doesn't go away. And so, with a thought close your eyes, reaching out to the planet below you itself.

“New Salda, I need your help.” you think to the planet as you jump down, the world's avatar responding immediately as your feet touch the ground. Power begins rising up through your heels into your whole body, your strength growing.
“OF COURSE, MY CHAMPION.” comes the planet's booming reply. As your connection with the planet deepens you focus on your ki sense, feeling not only every living sentient being's energy, but everything. From the strongest Saiyan to the smallest blade of grass, you can feel them all. And for a moment, since you haven't been practicing with this power the sheer scale of life on your planet overwhelms your mind. You feel everything, every single being for several seconds until you get the sensation under control. “ARE YOU ALRIGHT?”

“Yeah, yeah. I'm fine.” you reply, opening your eyes as you focus. You can sense the ki of everyone on the planet, including the ki that you couldn't sense before. Just past the tree line, hiding behind the second nearest tree, is a relatively powerful ki signature. One that you don't recognize.
“Karn, what's going on?” Meloka asks, you telling her what you're sensing and that you're going to take it down as you transform into your base Berserker form. “Right, call me if anything goes wrong.”
“Will do.” you reply, raising your right hand to your forehead. And with a moment's focus use your Instant Transmission, teleporting from the area to just behind the hidden ki.

You appear behind the ki, seeing only the tree and not a person. For a moment, then see a slight shimmer in the air. Oh shit, it's a Sangheili! Without hesitation you surge forward, slamming the near-invisible being into the tree with a dull thud.

“Don't move.” you hiss through clenched teeth, pressing the being so hard into the tree you see the bark crack, forming a faint outline of the being. “Drop the invisibility. Now.”
“Y-Y-Yes.” comes the invisible being's reply, a moment later becoming visible. And, sure enough, the being you have pinned chest-first to the tree is a damned splitjaw, the Sangheili's eye you can see wide with fear.

Well? What now?

“Now, you'd better tell me everything.” you snarl, voice dripping with venom as you hiss at him. “If you want to live, you'd better have damn good answers to my questions. Do you understand?”
“Of course, great Slayer.” the Sangheili answers, doing his best to remain absolutely still. “Ask me anything.”
“First, who sent you here to spy on me?” you ask him. “Who ordered you here?”
“I am here on behalf of the last Arbiter, leader of the Swords of Sanghelios, Khor 'Vadam.” he answers immediately. “My leader sent me here to make contact with you personally, General Karn.”

“The Arbiter?” you mutter, wondering aloud to yourself a moment before shaking your head, continuing. “Why are you here? What is the purpose?”
“Arbiter Khor 'Vadam wishes to meet with you, General Karn.” he says, most of the fear in his voice gone. “He wishes to speak with you in person, at the grave of Tega 'Dama.”
“Who?” you ask, not having the faintest idea who that is or could be.
“The second Arbiter, killed by your hands on my people's homeworld. The one who detonated himself, in an attempt to take your life.” he says, you remembering back to the battle and how you'd nearly died to your then-Bloodstone. How the expanded crystals had scattered throughout your body, nearly killing you. But had become the Soulstone because of it, as well as becoming that giant crystal crater on their world as well. “He wishes to speak with you at the site of his predecessor's final stand, to put an end to our old hatred.”

“You're telling me he wants to make a truce?” you ask, the splitjaw nodding slightly. “Why? The war's been over for years now.”
“Yes. And he wanted to reach out earlier, but could not because of the traitors.” the creature replies, a hint of anger coming to his eyes as he continues. “Those traitors abandoned our race, siding with those damned machines instead in their misguided quest to regain their honor.”
“The Lin Kuei.” you mutter, the splitjaw nodding again.
“Yes. Their eyes were blinded by the thought of getting their 'vengeance' against you and your kind.” he says. “Khor 'Vadam informed Freeza of this betrayal, but we had no idea where they had went. And he decided that, despite wanting to end the blood feud between our peoples, that doing so while others sought your head would lead to my people's destruction. But now that the last of them have been eradicated, he once more seeks peace with you and your kind.”

“So, why are you spying on me?” you ask, clearly catching the being by surprise. “If you wanted an official peace, you would have sought out an audience with the King, addressing King Vegeta IV directly. So, why approach me instead?”
“Khor 'Vadam already made official peace with Lord Freeza and the PTO, this is not about politics.” he says. “No, this is man to man. As the representative of our kind, he wishes to seek peace personally between our people, champion to champion.”

Well? How do you respond to this rather unusual request?

You think over what he said a moment, then with a grunt let him go. Stepping back, the Sangheili turns, your Berserker form towering over him.

“Very well. I agree.” you think to him, the splitjaw looking up at you in confusion. “Go and return to Khor 'Vadam, then reach back out to me. Once you are by his side, I will teleport to you.”
“But how will I signal you?” he asks aloud, not having realized what happened yet. To which you smirk, and continue 'speaking' telepathically.
“Words are not the only way we can communicate.” you think to him, still not moving your mouth. “Take my telepathy with you, then once you have met him you may reach back out to me.”

“What? How are you doing this?” he asks, sounding shocked. “What is this?”
“Telepathy.” you answer aloud, then continue thinking to him. “Once someone has reached you telepathically, you will have a far easier time doing so yourself. Now, don't speak, but project what you want me to know. WILL me to know your thoughts.”
“I understand.” the Sangheili says, closing his eyes as he struggles to do so. But after several seconds, his thoughts finally reach you. “Is this how it is done?”

“Excellent. That is exactly right.” you reply aloud, then continue telepathically. “Now, go. Return to your people, and reach out telepathically when you wish for me to appear to speak to your leader. How long will your return trip take?”
“If we leave today, I should be back on Sanghelios within six months.” he replies, giving you a bow at the waist. “Thank you for your generosity, General Karn.”
“Don't mention it. Now, go.” you reply, the Sangheili bowing again then running off deeper into the forest, no doubt heading to whatever ship he appeared on. A moment later Meloka appears beside you, watching the retreating form of the Sangheili a moment before it turns invisible as well.

“What was all that about?” she asks, you telepathically filling her in as you turn back to the training area. You both walk back as you tell her everything, Meloka frowning as you finish your story. “Are you sure you should have told him that? If they learn telepathy, then their spies can send any information gathered instantly and not have to worry about their deaths.”
“It was a gamble, but one I think will pay off.” you reply, remembering your encounter with the last Arbiter before Freeza destroyed High Charity. “They seem more determined to bury the hatchet, and having already made official peace, this shouldn't be a problem. And, if worse comes to worse, I'll be there right there at the Soulstone to draw on its power as well.”

“I still don't like this.” she replies, but then sighs out. “But if you're going right into their home, please tell me you're not just going alone?”
“I would prefer if you came along as well, I always feel safest with you watching my back hun.” you tell her with a smile, Meloka blushing slightly. “Besides, if something goes down, between the two of us we can either fight our way through, or if nothing else simply leave with Instant Transmission.”
“You're right. It's just...” she replies, then sighs out. “You're one of a kind, Karn.”

After that encounter nothing much changed, your days continued on as usual. The next morning you tell Freeza of the encounter, who endorses the idea as the two of you spar.

“An excellent idea.” he says, ducking your overhand right and springing up into a right uppercut of his own, then spinning counterclockwise into a tail smack both to the head, knocking you staggering back. But as he lunges forward, you catch his right in your left, then his left with your right, the two of you pushing against each other. “Then, before you go, guess I'd better push you to be even stronger before you go! Shyaaaaaa!”

He switches from pushing to a pull, driving both heels up into your guts and sending you skyward before chasing you down. The two of you continue sparring every day bright and early, pushing each other to be better, to become stronger. You can see his desire to be stronger in his eyes every time the two of you fight, your friend pushing himself harder and harder keeping you on your own grind as well. But at the end of the day, you and your family all heading in to the mess hall for supper, an unexpected figure is there, already seated and with an almost empty plate of his own.

“Oh, hello there. I was wondering when you all would be coming in.” Lord Beerus' attendant says, the blue-skinned man sitting and seemingly completely relaxed. “Karn, Meloka. If I may have a word?”

Well? How do you react to this?

Beerus we can play with but Whis is way more dangerous. We need to be polite here....after reminding him about his manners. Whis atleast isn't the type to be offended by that.

“Alright, I'll listen.” you say, walking over and sitting directly across from him before adding in. “But I have to say first, it's rude to show up unannounced in someone else's home.”
“Oh, well, yes, you're quite right about that.” he says, seeming genuinely surprised. “I hadn't taken you for one for all the frivolous formalities.”
“I prefer to know who is showing up to my home.” you reply telepathically, seeing a small smirk on the being's face. “At least let me know before you arrive next time.”
“I shall keep that in mind, General Karn.” he answers, voice noticeably more serious as he addresses you by your title, then nods to Meloka as she sits down as well. “Lady Meloka. It is good to see you both well.”

“Thank you, Whis.” she answers, having remembered the assistant's name. “But what brings you all the way down here?”
“And without Lord Beerus as well?” you add in, wondering where the Destroyer is while he's here.
“Lord Beerus has laid back down, taking a short nap after his meal and asked me to come pick up another full meal.” the attendant says. “After all, Silver is the single greatest culinary expert Lord Beerus and I know in this universe.”
“Thanks fer the compliment, Whis.” Silver calls out from the kitchen, showing that he can still hear everything in his mess hall.

“But while he's napping, I have a proposition for you.” the being says, turning his gaze from you to Meloka. “You have been working to control that divine power of yours, I take it?”
“Of course.” she replies, taking on the Super Saiyan God form in a flash of fiery light and holding it for a few seconds before fading away. “Why?”
“That's why I'm here. How would you like to take on training designed to draw out your divine might, to push you beyond your mortal limits?” he asks, you glancing aside to see your wife's eyes widening in surprise. “While it isn't very commonly known, not only am I Lord Beerus' attendant, waiting on him hand and foot. But I also am his instructor, who taught him how to use his divine powers. And I would like to offer you the same opportunity.”

“Wait, me?” she asks, seeming to be genuinely surprised. “Are you serious?”
“I am very serious. It is quite unusual for Lord Beerus to offer his world up to mortals, allowing them to train there.” Whis says, a gleam in his eyes. “But it would seem that Lord Beerus has high expectations of you both. That the two of you have the potential to be strong enough to rival his own power, one day. With enough hard work and dedication, anyways. So, what do you think? Would you like to learn how to truly become a god?”

And that's it for this weekend, everyone enjoying the ride? Ready to see how this plays out, and how Meloka will choose? Curious how this will play out, and what angle the Destroyer might be playing? Ready to see what else this arc has to offer? All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
>>
>>5780249
I can imagine Meloka will agree to the invitation, albeit reluctantly. Whis clearly rubs her the wrong way, but he's likely the best teacher as far as wielding Divine Ki goes.
Also I wonder if we can't convince Beerus to let some of our other family members train under Whis.
>>
>>5780248
I'm curious, because I remember a Berserker God Karn training with Whis before, but I think this offer is only for Meloka. I think the injury and the double berserker god thing made Whis far more wary off making us stronger then we already are.
>>
>>5780264
There is actually a way around Beerus accidentally pressing the Karn button.
If Meloka (or Frieza) get strong enough to replace Beerus, Karn skinning said cat wouldn't be his problem anymore.
>>
>>5780256
Who is to say? We'll have to wait and see I guess.
Maybe, in time. But, as someone with experience, a recluse suddenly being forced to live with others would quickly turn nuclear.
>>5780264
That assessment is kind of funny, as the hand injury Beerus was complaining of last epilogue was entirely Meloka's doing. But yes, he may certainly be more wary of you now.
>>5780266
Ha. But Whis is more concerned with Karn killing Shin, should Karn ever learn of the Destroyer's only weakness.
>>
>>5780271
>Ha. But Whis is more concerned with Karn killing Shin, should Karn ever learn of the Destroyer's only weakness.
I think he should be more scared of Karn killing Shin if that blue bastard ever showed his face in front of him again rather than the much more secret weakness.

I bet he's really irritated that Shin is such a colossal fuckup that his mere existence is putting Beerus' life on the line.
>>
>>5780271
>But Whis is more concerned with Karn killing Shin
A legitimate concern, but there is an oddly similar solution that problem as well.
Just demote Shin and let Kars take up the mantle of Supreme Kai. It's going to happen eventually, why not now?
After all, he can't be any worse at it than Shin, not to mention Old Kai would still be there to act as a mentor and advisor.
In my mind, the smart move right now is to let Shin reap what he's sewn and placate the very real threat to all of Divinity that is Karn.
>>
>>5780276
He's not worried of that, having warned the Kai away from Karn after what happened with the Supreme Kai of Time. On Beerus' order, of course.
>I bet he's really irritated that Shin is such a colossal fuckup that his mere existence is putting Beerus' life on the line.
Now that Karn is such a threat, yes.
>>5780279
No, the dealings of the Kais are not under his purview. Their doings are their own, and not his to influence. But if asked his honest opinion, he would certainly say that Shin is "less than adequate" to be in his position.
>>
>>5780298
the biggest thing is karn doesn't even really hate beerus, he might be annoyed with him at some of the shit he does, but as far as karn is concerned thats really really mild on the god scale. like beerus's biggest worry with karn should by all rights be shin being retarded and getting himself offed by doing something absolutely stupid.
>>
>>5780604
Fortunately Shin isn't stupid enough to willingly disobey Beerus, so we probably won't see him for a while.
Kars on the other hand...
He's been drinking that Divine Kool-Aid extremely hard lately. I'm afraid he might try and start something and put all of his coworkers in the line of fire because of it.

Nah, the joke there is that Gohan wears glasses because his eyes are shit, super saiyan just fixes his vision (while he's transformed) for some reason.
>>
>>5780604
Yes, Beerus isn’t that worried about Karn himself. Since you both got in a measuring contest and folded before he started getting worried. Which, a crit fail it may have been, it might work to your favor
>>5780613
No, Kars knows better than the other Kais how a single mortal can ruin an entire plan. After his encounter with Chilli, he’s become far more cautious. Never know who knows what.
>>5780788
This is an interesting bit of lore. A Super Saiyan is better than the Saiyan they were, fixing Gohan’s eyesight. Yet ‘Ultimate’, as it is technically a powerup without -CHANGING- the user’s physiology, doesn’t. Which is why Gohan missed the earring in Z, and the Senzu in SuperHero. Another interesting fact, Saiyans can’t see their own Super Saiyam auras, see Vegeta vs A18, while Goku can clearly see UI’s blinding one as we saw in DBS110.

QM QUESTION

So, I have a question for you all. Do you prefer having an intermission/epilogue nearly every week, 3-5 posts long every week? Or would you rather I take more time on each, cutting the intermissions out and instead dropping only the epilogues instead, but with double the time put into them? I haven't really been able to do really long epilogues in a while due to my work shift changing to evening shifts every Monday, not leaving me any time to write on those days. Just curious which you prefer, shorter but more frequent content or longer waits and longer posts?

>>5781183
To be fair he didn't take his eyes off Freeza. He underestimated the tech and the minion, and got folded like laundry for it. Although I prefer Super's retelling as he'd reverted back to base instead of getting shot as SSB. Made a lot more sense, power-wise.
>>5781460
No, this is about fighting. He doesn't make careless mistakes in a fight, but didn't even consider a Freeza soldier as anything even close to a threat. Roshi, Tien, hell even JACO were bodying Freeza soldiers without taking damage.
>>
>>5781475
On the topic of Goku, how does this timeline's Kakarot stack up to his canon counterpart?
Obviously Kakarot is orders of magnitude stronger and has a better grasp of his racial abilities, but what about their respective styles and philosophies towards fighting and life?
>>
>>5781475
The more-frequent supply of content has its advantages, giving us our SCQ fixes during the week and helping sustain us over the week-long wait between 'sessions'. For me, a day with new SCQ content is a great day (the intermissions and epilogues are always an enjoyable little surprise for me in the morning, to read before I start work), and maximising the number of those days in a week is preferable (versus more content on a given 'posting-day', but fewer posting days).

I also imagine that doing a greater number of (shorter) pieces probably results in more coverage of minor characters (story pieces from their POV, or covering events involving them), even if the events described are of only relatively-minor significance to advancing/influencing the main plot (as smaller side-stories/intermissions, they don't NEED to be as big a deal; they're just an appetizer). Whereas writing only a smaller number of (larger) pieces probably means that those writing slots get occupied by the major/more-influential characters (older kids, Frieza clan, etc), as they do enough of significance to warrant and/or permit a long piece to be written about them. (It's probably comparatively hard to write a 6-post piece about Maz and Kayle's activities during a given period, so they'd probably end up getting skipped a bit if only doing long epilogues, whereas a little 2-post intermission for them is probably more feasible and still quite enjoyable to us as readers - especially if followed a couple of days later with another little 2-post intermission covering eg. Koruza training with Future Chaya).

However, I do also acknowledge that you're probably more likely to run into writers' block if doing 2-3 separate intermissions/epilogues during the week (even if shorter) versus 1 longer epilogue (2 or 3 instances of inspiration required versus just one). So really, just do what works for you in terms of actually being able to output the content, at a standard you're happy with.
>>
>>5781494
>if doing 2-3 separate intermissions/epilogues during the week (even if shorter) versus 1 longer epilogue

That should probably be 'during the fortnight' lol. 2 or 3 intermissions a week would be great, though, assuming you're in the mood to just disregard the rest of your life and dedicate yourself solely to entertaining us.
>>
>>5781478
Much stronger power and keeping all his Saiyan heritage and instincts, but lacking that extreme martial arts discipline and focus. And the whole 'wife' thing he would have had by now in canon. Kakarot isn't quite like his father.
>>5781494
A good point, but I mainly do intermissions/epilogues based on what interesting or important content you just wouldn't get to see otherwise like Maz and Kayle's adventure on Planet Tatsu or Tatsu and Tomi encountering the Metamorans on their mission. Or sometimes because I simply like writing the what if's of different scenarios. But I think you misunderstood me, I'm not talking about making a bunch of intermissions/epilogues, I'm talking about keeping the current pace of 1/week, or halving it to have longer but more infrequent content. I can't do any MORE intermissions/epilogues than I do now, as it takes me several days to get out what I do. Doing any more would seriously burn me out within half a month, max.
>>5781496
Yeah there's sadly no way I could maintain that, short of winning a life-changingly absurd amount of money on a lottery like high six-seven digits. If I ever do though, I'd quit my job and do content much more frequently.
>>
>>5781167
>A Super Saiyan is better than the Saiyan they were
I'm guessing this only applies to inborn traits, then, since Broly's scar was still a weakpoint even in LSS in the original run.
I would also assume that it doesn't apply to mental traits. They don't seem any more intelligent in their decision making once super, or to have stronger willpower or anything like that.
>>
>>5781505
If you win the lottery, could you hire me as a butler?
>>
>>5781528
Yes, Super Saiyan is only a physical boost. And while Broly WAS stronger, that instance was of an injury that never properly healed. Remember, baby Z Broly and Paragus were stuck drifting through space until they crashed on another PLANET after getting blown away by Planet Vegeta's explosion.
>>5781547
Ha, and don't take this the wrong way. But I would never trust anyone non-family irl after I won such a prize. Nor anyone more than two people distant down the family tree.
>>
>>5781565

>>
>>5781565
Family would be the last I'd trust if I ever got the big money lmao

>>
>>5782531
I mean I wouldn't know, as I've never been rich and I don't have any rich relatives. I'm just going off of what I've heard other new-rich folks say.
>>
>>5782531
I gotta ask, if Broly decides he wants to be rid of the Berserker Soul's influence for good, would he lose access to the Legendary transformations as well?
>>
>>5782595
I think since most of my family are, at the moment, more financially secure than I am, wouldn't be trouble.
>>5782702
He would lose everything that wasn't the basic Super Saiyan forms, except Primal. Although he would lose his Berserker Primal state, only becoming normally bigger and not YUGE.
>>
>>5782730
>I think since most of my family are, at the moment, more financially secure than I am, wouldn't be trouble.
Greed is a quiet and insidious beast. I'd be more worried about giving money, and then it being irresponsibly spent. Even a million bucks goes away quick if you spend like a moron. And pretty much no one in my family is as thrifty as me.
>>
The more I'm thinking it over, the more bonkers the thing we did looks. Did Miyashi finally move on after we fused the souls or was his consciousness absorbed into our own? And is DDF going to be stronger or evolve because of this?
>>
>>5782792
True, people like spending money soon as they get it.
>>5783031
Yes, it is WILD. No, Miyashi and the remains of Karn from that other time are no longer, merged into the new Berserker Soul in the image of Karn. DDF may be affected by what happened, but you’ll have to wait and see.
>>
You all aren't ready for this week's intermission, we're getting some LORE.
>>
>>5783413
So when's Yamoshi's soul gonna realize his brother no longer exists?
>>
>>5783428
As it happened. He could sense that his brother's soul was finally 'laid to rest' as he could no longer feel his rage or his connection to his brother. And feeling that, he left the power with Meloka and has tried moving on to his own afterlife as well.
>>
>>5783431
Aw sweet, both of them moved on from step 1. How long did it take for other timeline(s) Karn and Meloka to rise above and conquer/claim the souls? Is this reality the fastest to do so?
>>
>>5783431
Ngl its not funny but I do find it funny that Yamoshi is going 'Oh, somehow by brother finally let go of his rage and hatred, I know hes bound for Hell, but I hope to one day meet him again in a better time.' Before he goes off to heaven with his wife unaware that Miyashi litterally no longer exists.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 204 Intermission-

AGE 863, THE TIME NEST

“Don't tell me that THAT is the best you've got?” Vegeta asks, the godly version of your father from another timeline says, sounding frustrated. “You'll never beat that Saiyan if this is the best you can do.”
“Come on Vegeta, lighten up. We didn't beat him either.” Goku says, your father immediately turning his ire on Goku instead, leaving you to think over your most recent failure while the older Saiyans argue. Making you feel like little more than a child once again, sitting there on the ground before these legendary heroes.
“Alright, knock it off you two.” comes another voice, you all turning to see Dumplin waddling over while the Supreme Kai of Time starts stirring on the ground behind him. “Go on, get out of here and go punch each other or something. The adults have work to do.”

“Awwww, c'mon Dumplin! You can't shut us out like that!” Goku says, running over to him. “You gotta let us go back in there! I didn't even get to fight him yet!”
“And you're not going to today!” Dumplin says, the Demon God's temper clearly rising as his dark aura starts rising around him. “Get. Out.”
“Alright, alright, you don't gotta get so serious!” Goku exclaims, leading everyone out of the room. You go to join, but Dumplin's arm stretches, grabbing you by the forearm.
“Not you. You stay.” he says, then mutters something under his breath that you don't quite catch, but are sure is derogatory. So you sigh out and relax, watching everyone else leave. No one even looks back except for Hyoka, looking worriedly from you to Dumplin and back before exiting through the gate. Leaving the three of you alone in the Time Nest.

“What the hell were you thinking?” Dumplin then shouts once everyone's gone outside the barrier, you no longer able to sense their ki. However, he's not shouting at you, but the Supreme Kai of Time? Who is looking down, not even meeting his gaze. “The hell, woman?! You could have gotten yourself ERASED doing dumb shit like that! And then what would we do?”
“You felt it too, didn't you?” she asks, not addressing his question directly. “That power. It almost felt like...”
“Karn.” Dumplin replies, which sounds a little dumb to you. Of course it was Karn, he nearly killed you. Again. Which wouldn't hurt so bad if he actually had to try. But he caught your sword in his bare hand, ripped it out of your grip and hit you with the crossguard so hard you blacked out, not able to save the Supreme Kai of Time when he'd captured her. “That's him. There's no doubt.”

“Yes. There's no mistaking it now.” she says, still not looking up but instead looking at her open hands a moment before closing them. “He's back.”

“Uhhhh, what? I feel like I'm missing a whole lot here.” you say, not following the conversation at all. You are Trunks, the Supreme Kai of Time's Apprentice, leader of her Time Patrol, a Saiyan who has become a god. Yet despite all this you still feel like you're out of the loop, as if world-breaking events are happening yet you're still just a child, watching the adults talk. Like Gohan and Bulma did in your own time, talking about matters that you didn't wholly understand while eating, the world crumbling outside the Capsule Corp building you'd called home for so long. “What do you mean by 'he's back'?”

“You haven't told him?” Dumplin asks, turning his unsettling gaze from you to the Supreme Kai of Time, who looks up right at you. And, for just a moment, you can see the years weighing down on her. You'd heard Elder Kai, who is over 74 million years old, that they were Kais around the same age. But you know that she's even older, having had to sacrifice everything and undo all of reality before to stop Mechikabura. So, who knows how ancient a being she truly is?

“He knows of the reset. Just not....Him.” she answers, chills crawling up your back. To which the short Demon God sighs out, turning towards you.
“Well, I guess now's a good a time as ever. You know that she an' Mechikabura, along with myself were from that first reality, right?” he asks, you nodding to him once. “Good, makes this simpler. When she destroyed everything, there was another survivor from that battle. It wasn't just the two of us an' old Mechi that got out.”
“Hold on. You're not telling me....” you say in horrified realization, understanding as to why you could never beat Karn suddenly blooming in your mind. But that ray of hope is shot down, Dumplin continuing.

“When he was getting erased, he used that Stand of his to make one last wish.” Dumplin says, voice surprisingly somber. “He gave up his life, put all his power into that Stand so it could survive everything being destroyed and take his soul with it. Joining with another suitable Karn in this reality, their beings becoming one.”
“Wait, was that when....?” you ask, turning your attention to Chronoa who nods once, your mind suddenly expanding. So THAT was how Karn was able to change, to break through destiny itself and become a Fateless. “But why didn't you-?”
“I hadn't realized what happened until it was too late, the timeline permanently altered.” she answers, sounding defeated. “If only I'd figured it out sooner, if only I'd remembered it back then, then none of this would be happening. Everything would instead be playing out how it always would have.”

“Look, what's done is done. We can't change it now.” Dumplin tells her, his tone oddly serious. But even more than that, he sounds almost...Commanding? “All we can do is make sure we get to the end result we both want.”
“You... You're right.” she says after a moment, sighing and pushing herself back up to her feet. “Right now we need a way to neutralize him, or at least keep him busy in the upcoming battle while you do your part.”

“Wait, what?” you ask, looking back and forth between them. To which they look to each other, then to you, then back again.
“No, not a chance. He can't do it.” Dumplin says, but the Supreme Kai of Time has a gleam in her eye, one you unfortunately know all too well.
“You're right, he can't. Not as he is.” she replies, you wondering exactly what the two of them are thinking. “Trunks, I have a new assignment for you.”

“Of course.” you reply, pushing aside your own weariness and wanting to go do something, anything to get you out of this conversation. You need some time alone to think, and a mission could be just the-
“I need you to start training, immediately.” she says, sounding more like her usual self. “Dumplin will be your instructor.”
“Hey hey, I didn't agree to shit! Don't go peddling this off on me!” he complains, but she doesn't stop.
“I need you better, right now. So, I'm setting the time compression to 1461:1 and starting your training now.” she says, you realizing that she's talking not only about days, but four whole years! “Do your best in there.”

“Wait, what?” you ask, looking from her to Dumplin's unsettling, unblinking gaze as it focuses on you now. “What's going on? What do you mean?”
“I need you to be stronger, Trunks. Or everyone in Conton City is going to be massacred by Karn.” she says, you seeing a vision of Karn as he was against Chronoa rampaging through the streets of the city, stacking bodies by the score and crushing Hyoka in his arms before obliterating her with a blast like he'd done the Supreme Kai of Time. And with that vision you feel your resolve harden, taking a deep breath then turning to Dumplin.

“I'll do it.” you say, the Demon God sighing out.
“Alright kid, best of luck to ya.” he says, then suddenly his body changes. You feel like that one Gohan had to have when Buu absorbed him, the last thing you hear being her “Good luck!” as your entire being is consumed. But then, after a few seconds you feel his essence retreat, leaving you in a dark void. “Welcome to the fuckbox, bitch. I got'chu in here for four years, you better prepare yourself. I'm gonna make a man out of you!”
“I...Need an adult?” you reply, to which the Demon God simply grins and replies: “I am an adult.”

This can't end well.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 204 Intermission End-

Well, if there's anybody who can whip Trunks into shape, it'd probably be Dumplin.
Anyways, that little vision Chronoa whipped up was devious, though a little uninspired.
Not that it takes much to pull the wool over Trunks' eyes these days, but still.
>>
>>5784154
I'm pretty sure every time he has had his head pulped the midget has wished him back with less grey matter.
>>
A four year fuckbox training session? Now I'm concerned. I feel as if we level skipped in the main quest and all the events are happening quicker than they should be
>>
Okay theres alot going on here that isn't being addressed.

So first of all Dumplin said that what we were fighting was a timeline duplicate or something of Chrona and that if we killed her it wasnt going to stick. That was absolutely a lie as we see here we had the OG Chrona in our hands.

Further more, Dumplin is lamblasting her about being Erased, which means none of them know Divine Dragon Force was put into cooldown by fusing the berserker souls. Something we have to make sure they keep thinking or we might be fucked. Eraser and Wish are something we need to make sure they keep thinking we can do to make sure they don't act against us too soon.

The last post is really important. Dumplin is acting Commanding to the SKOT in private, which makes them seem more partners then anything, but more so look at that line.

>"All we can do is make sure we get to the end result we both want".

What exactly are they angling for here? More specifically whats Dumplins angle here.

And it look like their going to try using Dumplin to counter Mechi.

And their trying to build up Trunks enough to stall Karn when the battle starts. The Gogetas and Vegetos will be stalling Chaya and Ace, but I feel like I'm missing something here, and its all based around Dumplin and his 'mission'.
>>
>>5784251
Dumplin was probably bullshitting explicitly because he realized Karn is both really strong and rather pissed off and Dumplin was in kind of a bad position at that moment. Remember SKoT literally killed Karn at least once that we know of, and Karn is not going to forget that and they know it too now. one other thing i'll point out:
>“I need you to be stronger, Trunks. Or everyone in Conton City is going to be massacred by Karn.” she says, you seeing a vision of Karn as he was against Chronoa rampaging through the streets of the city, stacking bodies by the score and crushing Hyoka in his arms before obliterating her with a blast like he'd done the Supreme Kai of Time. And with that vision you feel your resolve harden, taking a deep breath then turning to Dumplin.
Karn could very well singlehandedly overthrow this entire situation and there might not be a damn thing they can do about it.
>>
>>5784154
Quite possibly.
>whipped up
She didn’t have to create anything, just show a vision of what happened in another reality. No effort required.
>>5784203
Ha.
>>5784209
>than they should be
I did warn you that that wish changed everything.
>>5784251
Yes, but if SHE wasn’t the one blocking reinforcements, then who was?
They have no idea DDF is currently down, yes. Which may be the reason Dumplin jumped in like he did.
You’re so close. How everything started and why everything is playing out how it is.
>>5784283
Karn is a wrench in the plans now with this newfound power. One all the players at the table have to contend with, even those you haven’t realized are even playing.
>>
>>5784306
>I did warn you that that wish changed everything.
Little do the time chumps know, Karn fights better as the underdog.
>>
>>5784306
>You’re so close. How everything started and why everything is playing out how it is.
......Is the Supreme Kai of Time even in charge? She made Dumplin, as far as we know, with parts of Meckiburas power to counter act him. Making him the second strongest of all Demon Gods. Then Dumplin survived the Eraser.

He was at his peak, likely resistant to her powers after surviving the Eraser, and Chrona was likely weakened from nuking a timeline.

Did Dumplin throw his dick on the table and lay out terms way back when? Has he been playing both sides, the Towas and Chrona from day 1 in this new reality to set himself up from success?

Is his skin in this game finishing the fight he started way back when, avenging his friend, but more importantly perhaps finishing his mission and consuming Mechkibura?

Dumplin is not only a Buu, someone who naturally hungers, hes a Demon God, someone who thrives on negative power, and the second strongest one that we know of. One who was made specifically to counter Mechikbura.

Is that his end game here or did I theorize myself waaaaaaaaay off course?
>>
>>5784310
Oh no they’re WELL AWARE. They haven’t forgotten what happened at episode 100.
>>5784319
Well she didn’t MAKE Dumplin, that was Conton City Shenron’s doing.
You’ve made several assumptions then taken them and run in a direction. However, some of those assumptions aren’t your fault as that’s due to the limited IC and to a lesser extent limited OOC info received so far. You know that this isn’t likely the first time reality’s been erased, and that Chronoa rebuilt everything. But can she do so on her own?
>>
>>5784386
Correction, Toki Toki City’s Shenron and Conton City’s Guardian Shenron is the one who ‘created’ Dumplin, and by created I mean summoned.

Trunks is going to get himself SSBE, fly in feeling like hot shit, and we're still going to fucking mulch him.

Then we can use our secret weapon; Ultra Instinct Karn Jr. who, with baby brain and thus little conscious thought during a fight, will easily tap into that form and destroy them all by instinct alone.
>>
>>5784440
Karn Junior is almost a teenager by now iirc.
>>
>>5784442
We're going to time-travel back and grab the baby version of him.
>>
>>5784079
>“Uhhhh, what? I feel like I'm missing a whole lot here.” you say, not following the conversation at all. You are Trunks, the Supreme Kai of Time's Apprentice,
The story of Vegeta's regret in one sentence the moment he learns about the Hype that is Karn.
>>
>>5784440
That’d be skipping a few steps. Boi hasn’t even gone beyond God yet.
>>5784442
He’s almost to his teens, will turn 9 this year.
>>
>>5784480
Vegeta may be quite impressed, if BOI survives the fuckbox
>>
>>5784154
I mean, Trunks is stupid, and those bodies are likely defenestration victims. Karn doesn't give a fuck about peons unless they are Covenant or trying to attack him.
>>5784203
I think Karn's anti divine stacks against dragon wishes retroactively now....so those bits of brain damage doesn't just Wish away.
>>5784251
I think Dumplin might be playing the Pink bitch, he sees the signs that the time is wildly different and the end result has changed dramatically.
>>5784486
How disappointed when it amounts to nothing?
>>
>>5784489
I said it was a memory of SKoT's, I didn't say from which reality. Or from whose perspective it was.
Who knows? Dumplin could be playing her and Mechi both. Or is simply playing a role, waiting on the curtain to once again drop before it all repeats again.
Ha. But we'll have to wait and see.

Also sidenote, I can't wait for the return of HIM. I wouldn't be so critical of the boy if I didn't see the potential in him. Here's hoping Dumplin can bring it out.
>>
>>5785296
Trunks (or Gohan) being HIM will never be enough to stop Karn from being THAT GUY.
>>
>>5785354
It'd make fights more interesting than the frame 1 0-to-death true combo interactions that usually happen as of late
>>
>>5785286
You’ll just have to wait and see, won’t you? If it wins, it could be quite entertaining.
>>5785296
Unironically his best design. Speaking of… No, you’ll see soon enough, when my artists pull through.
>>5785354
Perhaps. But you never know, four years is a long time to undo some serious debuffs. Especially with a character who on some level has meta knowledge.
>>5785369
Yeah, Trunks has been getting dogged. Last three witnessed encounters he got bodied without even so much as you making a roll as the debuffs have stacked too high. Not having a roll with a DC of 2, that’s completely pointless. To have two 1s on a 3 roll 100 sided dice is virtually impossible.
>inb4 DC 1500s and whatnot that appeared before
Those are to show the progress still needed, the room to grow you have. You CAN pick battles you can’t win, but those dice show you the difference.
>>
Trunks is going to unlock Ultra Instinct. His only problem will be that all of his body's instincts will be screaming to run as far away from Karn as he can, as fast as possible. Autonomous Ultra Get-Me-the-Fuck-Out-of-Here.
>>
>inb4 Dumplin unfucks Trunks to the point where he just switches sides
>>
>>5785557
>inb4 that was his whole plan and Pink Bitch left her best dog with the best deprogramer.
>>
>>5785533
HA, but no. And after this training, he might truly not be afraid of you anymore.
>>5785557
Would be funny, but is that a part of his plan? Or does he need Karn busy fighting him to fulfill his own desires?
>>5785620
Heh.
>>
>>5785684
>HA, but no. And after this training, he might truly not be afraid of you anymore.
I remember when he tried that once earlier in the quest, and Karn just beat it back into him with even more brutal stuff, then again i'm not sure 4 years of buffs is enough to get him on par with Karn as he currently is, he might actually put up a fight now because he's losing a shitload of debuffs, but Karn's fighting style is something i just don't see trunks having the ability to deal with properly, it's a match up issue and actually isn't even getting into other things like karns absolute nonsense stamina even before getting the form he currently has and his ability to fight far above his weight class even when he was far far weaker, let alone now.
>>
>>5785702
He did try it before, but he merely had False Confidence buffs. Which were shattered upon losing again. The real question is will you be able to handle Trunks after the crazy buffs he'll get from training continuously under Dumplin, as well as getting Dumplin's deep knowledge of your technique. Fighting Trunks again will NOT be like any other time you've faced him.
>>
>>5785702
to make a little bit of an explanation currently, as is Karn can full and has straight up bullied Chronoa at full power just a thread ago, even with the type advantage of being hilariously anti divine, that buff is also gonna apply to Trunks just because of the route of evolution he picked; unless Trunks is gonna get stronger then his boss in that time, I don't see it even with the disadvantages gone.
>>
>>5785716
True, but that level of bullying was mostly due to a difference in builds. Karn is a tanking/ohko build while she's essentially a caster/support build that's not in any way a pvp build. All her techniques rely on her divine power, which Berserker God mitigates, and stopping/manipulating time, which the Fateless aspect of the Berserker God now negates. Karn is a hard counter to her now, which might be why Dumplin needs someone like Trunks to keep Karn occupied.
>>
I know that we love ragging on trunks, but he's getting 4 years of training from DUMPLIN. Are we really going to underestimate the Demon God's abilities as a teacher? If anything, he's the only one who could make The Boi realize his potential. It's possible that in those 4 years he could even become The Man?!
>>
>>5785750
He had his chance, all those threads ago. Chronoa will not allow him to slip from under her boot twice.
>>
>>5785752
Yeah but its Dumplin, who doesn't have the temperament or the motive to set him up for failure on purpose (I think)
>>
>>5784306
>Yes, but if SHE wasn’t the one blocking reinforcements, then who was?
It was Mechi. Trust nobody, zero-kai plan.
>>
>>5785714
So....exactly like every other time we faced him.
>>
>>5785772
>"I know all of your tricks, Karn!"
>"Okay how about the one where I blow you up from the inside?"
>"WHA-"
>immediately punched in the face while he panics
This psychological warfare shit is EASY.
>>
>>5785750
He'll be worthy of his new look, that's for sure.
>>5785752
No, this isn't about him breaking free of her control. Although should you fight him again, it could be something you push for.
>>5785756
While it would be funny, he does have a goal he wants to reach.
>>5785761
No, Mechikabura was busy pilfering the remaining Dark Dragon Balls from the Time Patrol.
>>5785772
No. When you and Trunks cross paths once again, it won't be like any other time. He'll actually, truly be READY.
>>5785783
Ha! But no, he won't be rattled so easily. Man's going to be a whole new being after Dumplin's done with him.
>>
>>5785803
But will he be ready to fall on his ass again when Meloka Wolbach fires off another KI attack at him?
It would be a rather BOI thing to do.
>>
>>5785803
But hear me out.
What if we just force crush trunks heart.

I'm mostly kidding, I just think it would be funny af.
>>
>>5785803
You know I feel bad for Trunks. I really do. He's gonna go through all the bullshit to try and get stronger. All for a psychopathic tyrant with her head up her own ass about morality. And he's still gonna get beat.

At least when we fight for a psychopathic tyrant he doesn't take on an air of being better by virtue of "goodness". He's actually just plain better. Frieza gang.
>>
Meloka's just going to stab him in the back. He's too fixated on Karn, so he's not going to pay enough attention to the true nut-case in the family
>>
>>5785720
>Dumplin needs someone like Trunks to keep Karn occupied.

>>5785906

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After returning home from his granddaughter's party, Karn was shocked to discover Lord Beerus, God of Destruction had visited his home while he was away! Karn shows his newfound power to the Destroyer, pushing his tired self to the breaking point before passing out. Then, after the Destroyer left Karn spoke with Broly, giving his son a choice about whether or not he would continue carrying the burden of the Berserker power. Then, a week later, Broly still not having made up his mind, Karn senses someone observing him, only to discover a Sangheili spy on New Salda! An emissary of the last Arbiter, this Sangheili invited Karn to travel to Sanghelios and make peace between himself and the Sangheili race. Accepting, Karn taught that one how to speak telepathically, instructing him to signal when he was back on his world and the Saiyan would join him. Only for Whis to return the next day, waiting for Karn and Meloka in the mess hall. And as we rejoin Karn, Whis has just made a proposition to Meloka, for her to travel with him to the Destroyer's world and learn from him, the teacher of Lord Beerus.

“So, what do you think? Would you like to learn how to truly become a god?” Whis asks, you looking from him to your wife and back in shock. Is he serious?
“I...You're really offering to teach me?” she asks, then eyes narrowing adds. “This isn't some sort of trap to split us up for Beerus to kill us one at a time, is it?”
“Ohohoho, don't be silly. If Lord Beerus really wanted you dead, you all would already be.” Whis answers almost jovially, speaking of your destruction as if it were nothing to him. “No, Lord Beerus has offered you his hospitality, until and unless you wish to sever ties.”

“What all does that entail?” you ask, cutting in. You want hard and specific rules, knowing how divine beings are such sticklers for rules and usually don't break the letter of them. “Specifically.”
“Ah, right. The Laws of Hospitality are oft-forgotten by the lower races.” he says, casually calling you all lesser beings before continuing. “While under his domain she will be a guest, afforded all the privilages that entails. Her bodily needs will be met, such as food, water, shelter, clothes if necessary, as well as other benefits. And while there, Lord Beerus will be obligated to protect her as if she were his own kin. So, what do you say Meloka. Do you accept?”

“I just have a question. Will Meloka be able to receive visitors while she's there?” you ask the Destroyer's assistant, staring him down. “Or will my wife be cut off from all of us and the outside world while there over there?”
“Well, at certain points in the training, she will be unreachable, as to not disturb her focus.” Whis answers casually. “I'm sure you understand. But while she is not in those more intensive trainings, you will of course be free to visit with her whenever. As long as you follow certain rules. Most primarily of which is not disturbing Lord Beerus' slumber. He can be quite cranky when waking up early after all, and not quite the charitable Destroyer you've seen him to be so far.”

“Hmmmm.” you reply to that, thinking it over. This Whis may or may not know about the other special power on your wedding bands, which allow not only communication but teleportation between the two of you no matter the distance. So, he might not expecting you to simply appear. However, seemingly reading your thoughts he continues.
“Whenever you wish to come and visit, please just reach out to me and I'll let you know if she is available. You do know telepathy, correct?” he asks you with a knowing look in his eyes, the ghost of a grin on his face. “Even if we are in the divine realm and you're down here in the mortal plain, I should still be able to hear you. But if you don't get a reply immediately, it would be best to assume that it is currently not a good time to visit. And refrain from simply showing up. Understood?”
“I hear you.” you reply, then turn from the assistant to your wife. “Well, it's up to you.”

You and Whis both look to your wife, who doesn't simply say yes or no. She clearly thinks it over, two or three minutes passing in complete silence before she finally answers. But not with a yes or no, instead another question.

“This training. How long will I need to stay to complete it?” she asks him, expression serious. To which Whis gets a little more serious himself, meeting her gaze. “I have obligations here. I have students of my own, my family, my husband. I can't just leave it all behind for an unknown amount of time.”
“I understand. Well, judging by your character and personality, I'd say that for the first six months you'll have to stay continuously, not leaving even through time.” Whis answers, surprising you that he's even aware of that. “While that may be a difficult sacrifice to make, I can assure you than the training you would receive under my tutelage would be second to none. I am the one who trained Lord Beerus, after all, and do take some measure of pride in my abilities. So, what do you say?”

Again she doesn't answer immediately, looking over to you a moment before her expression changes. You see that same fire in her eyes you first fell in love with all those years ago as she turns back to face the Destroyer's attendant.

“Very well. I accept your offer of training.” she says, expression serious. “Teach me to become even stronger. I have too much to protect to decline.”
“Excellent! I was hoping you would accept.” he replies, smiling and clapping his hands up by his cheek, head tilted. “It has been quite some time since I had a student aside from Lord Beerus.”
“So, when do we leave?” she asks, Whis politely waving off the question.
“Oh now, do 't be in such a hurry. After all, we should eat first.” he tells her, a moment later one of Silver's attendants coming out with a large platter, several different foods you don't recognize scattered across it as if presenting them all. “Silver's cooking is the best I've eaten in the universe, after all. Let's enjoy ourselves before departing.”

“Momma's leaving?” Okira asks, having walked over. “Where are you going?”
“Don't worry, I won't be gone for too long.” she replies, picking up her youngest daughter and holding her. “I'm just going to be going off for some training.”
“Oh, okay!” your daughter replies, you all sitting together and eating one final meal. The Destroyer's attendant, while not as voracious as you or your family, clearly enjoys the food just as much if not more than all of you. While eating you and Meloka, along with Whis explain that she'll be going to Beerus' world to train her divine powers. Everyone seems sad to see their mother go, but encouraging her to go get stronger and that they'll all be waiting for her to return. Then, once the meal is done you all go outside with Whis and Meloka, who says goodbye to each of the children on at a time. Then she comes to you.

“I'll miss you.” she whispers into your ear as she hugs you around your neck, holding you tight. “If you need anything, please, let me know.”
“Same to you Mel.” you reply, the two of you sharing a passionate kiss for a few moments before separating. “See you on the other side.”

She tries to say something else, but instead chokes it down, nodding to you. Then without a word turns, placing a hand on Whis's back, the Destroyer's attendant tapping his staff on the ground once. They're consumed by a beam of rainbow light, blasting up and out of New Salda's atmosphere instantly, her ki leaving your ki sensing range in only a few seconds.

“Good luck.” you say to the sky, staring up at the spot they vanished from your senses at. Everyone's quiet for a few seconds, until suddenly Broly speaks up.
“Dad. Can we talk for a minute?” he asks, sounding as if something's on his mind.

You look over to your son, seeing the serious expression on his face and give him a single nod. He returns the gesture, then flies up in the air. You follow him, your son blasting out over the sea towards the setting sun. You of course follow along, Broly flying silently for a few seconds before coming to a stop far away from the other children and your home. You stop yourself a few feet away, waiting to see what he has to say. He's silent for several moments, looking at the sunset before speaking.

“This training Mom's going on. She didn't want to go, did she?” he asks, turning around to face you. “But she went anyways. To get stronger.”
“She did.” you answer, not sure where he's going with this. So, you keep quiet, letting your son do the talking.
“She could have said no, and stayed here. Stayed with us.” he says, looking away from you down to his right hand. “But that wouldn't keep us all safe. There are still others, aren't there? Others beside the Time Patrol who want us dead.”
“There are.” you answer bluntly. “We Saiyans have destroyed a lot of different races, slaughtered uncountable beings. Their survivors will no doubt come for revenge, in one way or another. Which is why I keep getting stronger.”

“Exactly. If we don't protect our home, our family, who will?” he asks, clenching his fist and raising his gaze up to yours. Reminding you once more that he's no longer the small boy, scared of his own powers and afraid of accidentally hurting someone. Broly has grown into a warrior, confidently facing you as if he intended to take even you down, if necessary. “So I've decided. I'm not giving up the Berserker power. I can't afford to give up this power, not while our enemies are still out there and not while I have those I still want to protect. I appreciate the offer, Dad. But I'll bear this burden, until the very end if I need to.”

“I understand. And if you ever change your mind, let me know and we'll see what we can do.” you say to him, flying over and placing a hand on his shoulder. “Choosing to walk this path isn't easy, but I'm proud of you for not running from it. Those of us with power have an obligation to protect our people who are weaker than us, a duty passed down from every generation before to ensure we keep going. And as long as you're willing to bear it, I'll be there to lighten the load as much as I can.”
“Th-Thanks Dad.” he says, giving you an almost relieved smile. “One day I'll be the strongest of our kind, just like you.”

“No.” you say, clearly shocking your son as his eyes widen. “Your goal shouldn't be to be like me, son. You shouldn't stop there.”
“Huh?” he asks, looking confused.
“You shouldn't limit yourself by just being like me. Be BETTER than me.” you tell him, his eyes widening further. “If you really want to be the best of us, the strongest of our kind, you're going to have to aim to be even better than I am. Because I'm not going to stop getting stronger either. And I won't let you overtake me so easily.”

“Heh, I already surpassed you once, I'll do it again!” he replies, you chuckling at the resolve blazing in his expression. “I'll become so strong that even you have to rely on my strength Dad.”
“Hahaha, well I'm looking forward to seeing you try.” you reply, holding out your right hand towards him. “You'd better give it everything you've got.”
“You too.” he replies with a grin, the two of you clasping forearms. Again reminding you that he's no longer a boy. Broly has truly become a man.

The two of you, resolves renewed fly back home, you all settling in for the night. As you lay back down Meloka reaches out to you, telepathically informing you that she's arrived and And, bright and early the next morning you're up and ready, sparring with Freeza as the sun rises.

“So, she's gone to the divine realm to train under the gods.” he says, you both slamming forearms first into each other, your Berserker God aura clashing with his Golden one as you push against each other. “Well, I suppose that there's truly no better ones to learn how to use divine power from than other deities. But do you trust them with her?”
“Not really. But as long as we're connected, the instant anything happens I'll be right there.” you reply, pushing off your friend and flipping back, feet touching the ground just long enough to kick off towards him once more. The two of you continue your sparring, then later join Chaya for your morning workout with her. Only, as you walk into the gravity chamber can immediately tell something's wrong. Her face is red as if she's been crying, teeth gritted as she attacks the workout with an angry snarl. Her pull ups are the fastest you've seen in this advanced level of gravity, your Chaya clearly upset at something.

Without hesitation you walk over to her, calling out her name.

“Chaya? Is everything alright?” you ask her gently, slightly raising a hand towards her. “You okay?”
“Fine. Absolutely fine.” she replies through gritted teeth, not slowing her pace at all. She doesn't even count aloud, just furiously cranking out repetitions. “Nothing's wrong.”
“It's okay kiddo, I'm here now. You can tell me what happened.” you say, watching her jaw start to tremble, eyes watering as she struggles to focus. But you see it the moment her resolve breaks, eyes closing as her body goes limp. You see her drop from the bar, rushing forward and catching her before she hits the ground.

Sliding to a stop you hold Chaya to you as your daughter breaks down. Her entire body shakes as sobs wrack her body, tears flowing freely as she buries her face into your chest. She looks so small and vulnerable as you hold her crying body, Chaya unconsciously curling up into a ball in your arms. You don't say anything, just holding her and rubbing her back as you make soothing noises, much as you'd done when she was younger.

“It's alright kiddo, it'll all be okay.” you murmur, letting her cry herself out. “There, there. You're okay, you'll be alright.”

She cries for a solid few minutes before stopping, her erratic movement slowing to a stop as she just holds you. Then, once she's quiet for a minute, you finally ask her again.

“What happened, kiddo?” you ask her. Chaya pulling her face away from your chest and looking up to you. She looks just crushed, no hint of her usual fire.
“It...Radi...That bastard.” she says, sounding sad and looking down. “He, he....”
“What did he do?” you ask, feeling a sudden heat in your chest. If that little shit hurt your daughter, you're going to rip is entrails out through his throat!
“He was with someone else!” she says, her sentence freezing you in your tracks.
“Uhh, what?” you ask, not understanding what she said. “What do you mean?”

“I went over to his place this morning, to ask if he wanted to come train with us again since he's been kinda distant lately.” she says, sounding sad. “He said he wanted some space, said he needed to think. But this morning I went over to his place he didn't answer, so I let myself in. And when I go in, I see him sleeping with some bitch! That bastard cheated on me with some weak little nobody, who couldn't even fight Tatsu or Tomi! And then he, he.... He said that he-he was done with me! He said that he was tired of waiting on me to get serious, so he was moving on to find someone else!”

>"Chaya...I'm sorry."
>"What you and Raditz had...it didn't have anything to do with your strength or status. If it was just that, I know for a fact you wouldn't be so torn up about it."
>"That said, relationships can be messy like that sometimes. Even your mother and I have had to have some hard talks about what we want from each other. Those expectations are a big part of figuring out how to make things work. What's important is that you actually speak up and let each other know what they are. Otherwise that frustration just piles up until somebody does something stupid."
>"But even if he did talk to you about, that doesn't excuse what he did. The fact that he even went and did it in the first place and wanted to act like it's your fault...I know for a fact he was raised better than that."
>"Chaya, I don't think he was the one for you, as strange as that may sound. That kinda stunt just tells me he wasn't ready for something more "serious" with you anyways. If you want my advice, move on. Beat his ass if you have to, but move on and be better off for it."

I find it slightly funny how Karn is starting to understand the concept of 'cheating'.
Since marriage and relationships are pretty foreign to Saiyan culture and all that, as well as his relationship with Towa and Meloka.
>>
>>5786559
by the way gd are relationships a thing now in Saiyan society (especially in the younger generation) or are those who practice it still seen as weird.

>>
>>5786576
Yes. Although Karn may know it more by a feeling than a name. After all, children can be cruel.
>>5786581
There are a growing percentage of people adopting the 'relationship' model. But there are many more who practice the older ways, who ascribe to mating by power. Which has caused a number of fights between the groups, between those who want 'taken' men/women and their partners. Such fights are surprisingly common.

Considering how many women in our awful reality see married men as the only possible choice for partners, and pursue them like they're dying of thirst, I am not surprised there are tons of fistfights over relationships here.

“Chaya, kiddo. I'm sorry he did that to you.” you say, holding your daughter. You feel that there's more, much more to this story, but with what you do know, this wasn't some sort of spontaneous decision on Raditz's part. But that doesn't matter right now, what matters is your daughter is clearly hurting and needs you there for her. “What you two had, it wasn't about your strength or your status as Champion, or any of that. If that were all there was, he would have given up on you when you lost to Tanya. But he was there by your side throughout that, wasn't he?”

“Y-Yeah. Yeah he was.” she says, the tears starting to flow again. “I just don't get it. Why would he go and do that? He said he loved me. But why would he do something like that, hurt me like this if he really loved me?”
“It's impossible to ever truly know what someone else is thinking, what leads them to the decisions they make.” you say to her, holding your daughter close. “But what I do know is that if he wanted to end things with you, he should have told you beforehand. Not let you find him with someone else.”

And as you say this a memory you'd long forgotten reappears, for just a moment you see a sight you'd pushed out of your mind from back when you were barely more than a child. But you push that old memory back away, ignoring those old childhood squabbles from your youth and focusing on the here and now, on your daughter's pain.

“If he didn't, then it's on him for not talking to you. Relationships can be... Messy.” you continue. “Even your mother and I have had to really talk about certain expectations we have of each other. Managing each other's expectations is key to making things last long-term, what's important is speaking up and letting each other know what they are. Otherwise, that frustration, that resentment keeps piling up and festering, like rotting meat in the sun until that person lashes out in anger and does something stupid. You can't fix something without knowing that there is a problem in the first place, after all.”

As you talk she looks up at you, face red and puffy, eyes watery as you continue to talk. But you can see some sort of understanding clicking in her mind, mouth opening a bit as she really thinks over your words.

“Communication is important. But even if you two were fighting about something, that doesn't excuse what he did to you.” you continue, feeling your own anger starting to rise at your daughter's pain. “If he was going to separate from you, then he should have just told you. Not just letting you find out by seeing him with someone else.”

“I know he hurt you kiddo, but, as terrible as this sounds, maybe this was for the best.” you say, Chaya's brows furrowing as she looks at you as if you've suddenly grown another nose. “Doing what he did, acting like its all your fault, maybe he wasn't right for you.”
“Right? For me? What do you mean?” she asks, sounding just lost.
“Sometimes people aren't meant to be together forever. Some people are only in our lives for a short time, then either us or they leave the other behind.” you say, not seeing your daughter in front of you anymore, lost to those memories a moment. “Sometimes, people just... Drift apart.”

“Did that ever happen to you?” she asks suddenly, incisively. “Were you close to anyone before Momma?”
“A long, long time ago.” you say as again you see memories from your childhood. But she's long dead and gone, buried on Planet Vegeta and blasted to nothing more than dust when Freeza destroyed that dead world. “But it was never meant to be. Sometimes you have to know when to just... Move on. Go kick his ass if you have to, or if you really don't want to see him again yourself I can go break his legs, if you want. But the best thing you can do is move on. Find someone who truly loves you, who wants you for who and what you are and not in spite of that.”

“Y-Yeah. Yeah, you're right Daddy.” she replies, reaching up and wiping her eyes with the back of her glove before giving you a small smile. “Screw him, I don't need him anyways! I'll find someone who really deserves to be with me!”
“That's the spirit.” you say, standing back up and setting your daughter on the ground, then gesture at the bars. “Now, how about we get to work?”
“Right!” she exclaims, sounding far more enthusiastic as she leaps up, grabbing onto the lower bar. You smile, jumping up and grabbing your own, you both counting out your reps together.

The workout goes a bit longer into the morning than usual, after all you started late, but it is a good one. You can tell she's still angry, but no longer blindingly upset. Instead, she's channeling her emotions into the workout itself, using them to push herself further. Then when it's over you both shower off, then go get breakfast with the rest of your family. However, when it's all over, you all preparing for the rest of your day, you get the feeling that Chaya hadn't given you the entire story. Something else was going on between them, something in her story was missing.

Honestly I do get where Raditz is coming from, he’s been head over heels for Chaya for what a decade now? Maybe longer? But Chaya always does seem to focus on The Champion more then her personal relationships, and I can see Raditz being fed up with that, but going about it the way he apparently has is even more Cave Man Brain then the normal sayain 100 years ago.

But as you all land down on the island, you can't get over your curiosity. Plus, you did make him a promise a few years back, when he declared his intent to marry Chaya one day. So, you still have to make good on that.

“Good morning everyone.” New Salda's Guardian Raven says with a smile, the phantom form of the late Guardian standing beside her. “Did you all sleep well?”
“YEAH!” Maz declares, Kayle repeating him after a second. The others all say their agreements, Raven's gaze lingering a bit over yourself and Chaya. Clearly knowing what went down, or at least sensing it from Chaya's rampant emotions earlier then looking to you questioningly.
“Mind leading them yourselves today? I have something I have to go take care of.” you say as Broly sits down in his meditative position, hands resting palms-up on his knees before flashing up into his Primal form and seemingly nearly doubling in size. Raven looks to you and squints a bit, telepathically asking if it is about Raditz and Chaya. To which you also reply telepathically. “Yes. I'm going to get to the bottom of this.”

“Good luck.” she replies aloud, giving you a small nod before turning to the other kids. “Alright, today we're going to be focusing on-”

But you don't hear the rest as you lift off, flying over towards the city while expanding your ki sense. Searching for a very specific ki. It only takes you a few moments to find him, Raditz's energy radiating from just outside the city. So you fly over, blasting through the sky until you come near directly overhead, then slowly drop down to his level. He sees you coming, sitting atop a large boulder next to the tree line but doesn't get up even when you land a few feet from him.

“There you are. Was starting to think you weren't coming.” he says, surprisingly calm for seeing you after what happened this morning. “Alright, let's get this over with. HRRRRAAAA!”

Clenching his teeth he powers up, transforming beyond Ascended and taking on Super Saiyan 3. His eyebrows vanish, golden hair growing all the way down to his ankles. But as he stands there, seemingly ready for a fight, you just don't engage.

“Wha-Why? I thought you were going to come kick my ass.” he says, looking a bit nervous now. “What are you doing?”
“I might kick your ass later, depending on what you have to say. But I want to hear what happened between you.” you say, Raditz raising a brow. “Tell me everything that happened, starting with why you haven't been around lately. Been skipping training?”

“What? No, I haven't skipped out on my training.” he replies a bit indignantly, looking confused. “Did she not tell you? I told her that I was done with her, that I didn't want to see her anymore a week ago.”

You feel your brows go up at this as your eyes widen, not having expected this. And, seeing your reaction sighs out, powering back down.

“Looks like she didn't tell you. But we've been on the outs for a while now.” he says, sounding just... Tired. “For the past few months, she's been spending more and more time away, either training or over at Dreadzone doing who knows what. I've tried to talk to her about this, but nothing I said ever made a difference. She kept ignoring my wishes, not talking to me and dismissing what I wanted. So, last week I told her it was over, that I wasn't chasing her anymore. And I didn't see her again, until, well, this morning.”

“So, you're telling me that you haven't been together for over a week?” you ask, to which Raditz nods. And you just sigh out, seems you were right to have your suspicions.
“I think she must not have believed me, which lead to her kicking my door down today.” he continues, sounding almost apologetic at this point. “Sorry you got dragged into all this mess General Karn.”

Well? How do you take this news?
>Apologize on her behalf, tell him that if she causes him any more trouble to reach out to you and you'll moderate

“No, I had a sneaking suspicion something like this happened.” you reply, holding out a hand to him. “Sorry for the trouble she caused you.”

He looks shocked for a few seconds before taking your hand, your hands clasping each other's forearms and shaking once.

“If she causes you any more trouble, don't hesitate to reach out to me.” you tell him seriously. “If that happens, I'll show up and moderate for you two.”
“I appreciate it.” he says, sounding relieved as the two of you let each other go. “Thank you, General. This means a lot to me.”
“Of course. If you need anything, let me know.” you reply, giving him a wave and lifting back up into the air. Then, without looking back blast off, flying back to the island. After the short trip you drop down, Chaya looking questioningly at you as you touch down.

“You went to go see Radi, didn't you?” she asks you telepathically, not in an accusatory tone but rather one of simply stating a fact. “You didn't hurt him, did you?”
“No, he's fine. He and I just talked.” you reply, sitting beside Broly as you power up into your Berserker God form, then take the same meditative pose. “I had a few questions for him is all.”
“Oh, okay.” she replies, turning her focus back to helping the younger twins, who can't seem to get the hang of the arm grab while spinning past a punch. You close your eyes, focusing on your own Berserker God energy while fighting to calm the raging storm within.

The rest of the day passes without incident, nothing out of the ordinary happening. Which repeats for the next day and the next, each a day of peaceful training, you leading your students and watching over all of your children single handedly. Sure you miss Meloka, her presence by your side noticeably absent during the day. But it becomes much more noticeable at night, you having grown quite accustomed to having your wife with you. Each night as you lay in bed you reach out to her telepathically through the magical link in your wedding rings, as you're going to bed she is waking up on that planet.

She tells you of her training, how part of it is changing the Destroyer's bedding and other chores, however even while sleeping the Destroyer is a threat and broke her arm while rolling over. Fortunately Whis was able to heal the damage almost immediately, which does make you feel a bit more relieved. She then talks about how part of her training is lifting an impossibly heavy weight as the path behind her vanishes, threatening to throw her off the world entirely if she moves too slow. As well as sparring Whis herself. Who, she says, is untouchable.

“When he moves, it's just like that one Bardock-looking Time Patroller, with the silver hair.” she explains, talking about how nothing she does can touch him. Even sending out hundreds of her Warding Eyes at once, each firing Death Beams isn't enough to so much as touch his clothes, much less his body. “Maybe I'll be able to learn that technique, that Ultra Instinct from him.”

“If anyone can, I know it's you.” you tell her, the two of you wishing each other well. And so the days turn to weeks, the kids each reaching out to her telepathically in the mornings as well, telling her about their days before telling her goodnight, and life in general calms down once more. About once a week or so Whis will return, always with a message a few minutes before arriving to you to let you know he's here to get more to eat for himself, Meloka, and Beerus too for when he awakens, staying just long enough to enjoy a meal of his own before leaving once more. The weeks turn to a month, then two, then more, you missing Meloka more by the day as they all blend in together. However, at the same time, you can tell that your training with Freeza is paying off, both of your strengths reaching greater and greater heights. But the two of you aren't the only ones either, everyone growing stronger. Life is peaceful.

That is, until an unfamiliar mind reaches out to you one day just after training your students wraps up, most of them having dispersed.

“General Karn. Do you read me, over?” the unfamiliar consciousness thinks, you responding almost immediately.
“Who is this?” you ask, the being answering you.
“I am the one you caught at your training grounds those months ago.” comes the reply, you remembering the splitjaw. “I have arrived on my people's homeworld, Sanghelios. In one minute, I'll be touching down at the sacred grounds where the meeting with Khor 'Vadam is to begin.”

“Right, thank you for letting me know.” you reply, then after a moment's thought blast off towards your ship. Your training gear is good for training, but for meeting a former enemy you'd better show up prepared. Flying over, you land on the ship's roof after only a few seconds' supersonic flight, rushing inside and to your room to get ready. You drop your training gear, donning your armor and weapons, as well as putting on your scouter. But then, a thought hits you: Meloka can't accompany you. If something goes down, she probably won't be able to show up.

So, do you show up alone? Or will you bring backup along?
>Take Broly, he's the strongest of your children and also the least likely to be goaded into attacking them should this be some sort of trick

Since you don't have your wife to back you up right now, you need someone to watch your back. While you doubt that the Sangheili would try anything, you also wouldn't put it past them. So you reach out telepathically to the one person you can count on without hesitation.

“Freeza, it's time. I'm about to head off to Sanghelios.” you think to him. “Want to tag along? With Meloka off training to be a god, I could use someone strong watching my back.”
“Oh, that's right. This meeting of yours with the Sangheili, I'd forgotten it was happening.” he replies, a moment later appearing beside you, fingers on his forehead as he speaks. “Very well, I shall join you. This could be entertaining.”
“Appreciate it.” you reply, nodding to him when the Sangheili spy reaches out to you again. “We've landed, General Karn. We are ready whenever you are.”

“Here we go.” you mutter, reaching out to the splitjaw's ki through the telepathic link. Then, with a moment's focus teleport, transporting you and Freeza back to Sanghelios. One moment you're on your ship, the next standing next to a Covenant drop ship. The spy you'd caught before is standing there, along with a dozen others. As you both appear half of them immediately draw blades, the other half leveling their weapons at you both. They keep them leveled at you a moment longer than you'd like, but with a word the one you were telepathically linked to signals the others down. “Afternoon.”

“General Karn. Thank you for coming.” he says, giving you a small, bowing nod as you expand your ki sense, immediately detecting another two dozen powerlevels remaining invisible around you both. Which is not unexpected, but you don't say anything. You'll let them think that they're invisible, that you're only aware of those you can see. “Oh, and Lord Freeza. Forgive me, I wasn't aware you would be coming as well.”
“It is quite alright, I was a last minute addition to this little reunion, after all.” he says, waving off the splitjaw. “Please, I'm just here as witness.”

“Understood.” Then please, gentlemen, follow me.” the man says, turning his back on you both as he starts walking. Even without seeing it, you can feel that he's heading towards the Soulstone crater. Its energy charges the very air around it, the power you've poured into it over the years radiating out. You follow the Sangheili over to it, seeing the giant hole where you'd almost passed on. The emerald crystal radiates with power, but standing between you and it is a golden-armored Sangheili, his power an order of magnitude over his kin.

“General Karn. Lord Freeza. It has been some time.” the Arbiter says, drawing his golden energy blade. “I have been waiting for this day.”

Had I know the actual circumstances behind Raditz and Chaya falling out, I might have worded my write-in a little differently. That said, things could have gone WAY worse. I just hope Chaya understands why things went the way they did eventually.
Also Khor can't possibly be unaware of what it looks like he's doing right now, right?
Needless to say, this whole scenario has my attention.

I can understand why Raditz broke up, first Chaya bolted off alone after losing her championship title leaving him sad and well alone, then she comes back and they make up, but she still rather ignores him to do her own thing later.
Fucking hell Chaya, you had something nice with him and you ruined it, curious to see if they can work it out as Raditz definitely had a thing for her and was very patient with her or if he actually gave up on her no matter what.

It is sad when two people who truly do care want different things in life. Chaya wants to be the champion, growing stronger and pushing herself and giving everything she’s got. And at this time, their goals were incompatible and she wouldn’t give up hers, so he left her to pursue his dream himself.

“Arbiter.” you reply, not making an aggressive move while noticing that he's standing just on the edge of the crystal crater. But you focus on the Soulstone, tapping into its power. And as you do, the ENTIRE Soulstone starts to glow. The planet begins to tremble, the stone emitting a low hum. Surprising the Sangheili gathered, who all start murmuring among themselves. Except for the Arbiter, who doesn't even react. Then, with a smirk address the golden-armored Sangheili before you. “It has been some time. How many years has it been now?”
“Eight years, since we met aboard High Charity.” he says. “Eight years since you cast down the Prophets and freed my people from the Covenant's rule. I must thank you, great conqueror Karn. The part you played in defeating Truth and his divine spirit was not lost to time.”

With that he actually kneels, deactivating the weapon while a phantom of him appears beside him, translucent. But something tells you that it is a part of him, much as Divine Dragon Force is a part of you.

“You battled against a god and won, defeating the deity known only a short time as Lyin' Eyes Requiem.” the Arbiter says, catching you by complete surprise. How the hell does he know about THAT?! You undid that being's creation, how in the world does he know of that? Not even Freeza or Meloka, Chilli or anyone else remembered what happened while under that Stand's influence, so how could he? He wasn't even in the room. This immediately puts you on your guard, perhaps there's more a reason for these invisible warriors than you know. “I have seen the truth of it carved into your soul.”
“You what?” you ask, curiosity getting you to speak out. “Did you say you've seen my soul?”

“Yes.” he says simply, turning and gesturing to the Soulstone behind him, its glow faded a bit as you had quit focusing on it. “You and this crater are inextricably linked, Conqueror Karn. Your soul and this stone, one and the same. And through my divine spirit, Soul Experience, I can read it, and you. Your battles, your beliefs, who you really are, I can see it all through your eyes. Your very essence is carved here into this crater, where Tega 'Dama gave his life to try and stop you to protect our people. And, because of his sacrifice, I have now been given the chance to see the truth of things.”

Freeza tenses up behind you, clearly not liking where this is going. But you feel more at ease instead of less. If he's telling the truth, then he would know that he's not in any danger unless he or his people attack. But then, from the invisible crowd, someone shouts out.

“MURDERER!” comes a voice off to your right. Khor 'Vadam, Freeza, and all the visible Sangheili all turn towards the sound, but you don't even look. “BASTARD! YOU KILLED MY FAMILY!”

“Enough! Who dares-!?” Khor 'Vadam shouts, but you hold a hand out towards him. His Stand sees it as well, the Arbiter turning towards you questioningly.
“Don't silence him. If any of you have something to say to me, step forward and say it to my face.” you say calmly, projecting your voice. Then, as inspiration strikes, you draw your hammer and sword off your back, dropping both weapons to the ground. The area goes silent as your weapons hit the ground, no one speaking. But then, after a few seconds, the still-invisible Sangheili starts approaching you. Following him with your ki sense, you look towards him, watching as he actually comes to stand before you, deactivating his camouflage. The being is snarling, as best you can figure, hate in his eyes as he glares at you.

“You are a monster. You killed my family, my wife, my children. All dead because of you.” he says, fist tightening around his sword's handle in his right hand. “I will not let you desecrate our world, or my brother Tega 'Dama's grave. Fight me.”

He then activates his sword, drawing it back to swing at you.

Well? What do you do?

However, as he does, he's wide open. A quick blast of your Eye Beams could kill him easily, or destroy his weapon and disable his arm. However, instead you activate your Energy Body, ki hardening into a suit of armor. Your ki solidifies right as he swings, his cutting blade slamming into your armor. It scores a shallow cut across your chest, not getting through the armor. His eyes widen in shock at his attack has seemingly no effect, uncertainty creeping in. But he then snarls, drawing it back and swinging again. You don't move, letting him swing while you talk.

“Your people tried to murder me, my family, and exterminate my race.” you say, not to the Sangheili swinging his blade back and forth but to everyone else gathered. “I remember the terror of the Siege of New Salda. How many of my friends, my allies lost family to your people's attack?”
“S-Shut UP!” the one attacking you snarls, drawing a second blade and swinging them both faster. But even doubling up his attacks, he still can't so much as scratch you.
“However, when the battle was over, you all kept listening to the Prophets instead of waiting for someone to kill the cowards who ordered so many of both of our people to their deaths. Or even doing it your own. And then, when the war those Prophets started, your people kept coming after my own.”

“That splinter group was disowned, they were not of Sanghelios any longer.” the Arbiter interjects, you turning your gaze to him and nodding before continuing.
“Your people, with your abilities and assassination prowess could have killed the Prophets yourselves after they escalated the conflict, or perhaps even before they gained their Stands. But, instead, some of you went after my family because you couldn't kill me. My firstborn daughter and son both slaughtered the Sangheili assassins who went after them. I'm sure they were related to someone, but there is one rule of the universe we all know. The weak die and the strong survive. They were weak, and so my children triumphed.”

“BASTARD!!” the splitjaw snarls, drawing back both blades and thrusting them both at your chest. All four points stab into your armor and actually pierce through enough to prick your skin, but no further than that. The being's expression goes from triumph to horror, looking at the tiny trickles of blood as you stare at him. “Wh-What? Impossible! What the hell ARE you?!”

You look to the Sangheili, trembling in fear and consider taking him down, but instead turn your attention back to the Arbiter.

“You're saying that your Stand there can read my soul through the Soulstone crater?” you ask him, the Arbiter nodding to you.
“Yes. Soul Experience here can read one's soul by physical touch.” he explains, gesturing back to the Soulstone crater. “When the war was over, I came back home. Our people believed, as the, you call it Soulstone? That it contained the soul of Tega 'Dama and was trying to communicate.”

“What?” you ask, brow raising in confusion as the Sangheili you're ignoring deactivates his blades, dropping down to his knees as he drops them to the ground, defeated.
“Yes. The crater's light would grow, pulse, and make other signs of life.” he says, his Stand fading away back into him. “And after I'd become Arbiter, with this blessed power, I thought I could come read his will, to seek his aid in leading our people. Imagine my shock when, instead of one of our greatest warriors, instead I see the soul of our greatest foe. The one who is responsible for the deaths of two Arbiters before me, our people's near-extermination, and the monster we all lived in fear of. Only, to discover, that you and I aren't so different.”
“Oh?” you hear Freeza mutter, clearly intrigued by this. “This should be good.”

“When our people needed us most, we both took up the mantle of protector.” he says, meeting your gaze as he walks over, putting a hand on the Sangheili who'd had the outburst's shoulder and patting it comfortingly. “As champions our respective races, we took the burden of our people's survival upon ourselves willingly. And did what had to be done, no matter the personal cost.”

But as he stands there, the one on the ground suddenly shoves the Arbiter back while surging to his feet, the golden-armored one stumbling and falling back.

“You're DEAD!” he snarls, drawing up a pair of the blue grenades they use, activating both as they release faint blue clouds of energy around them, then lunges as if he wants to punch you with these sticky explosives.

How do you handle this?
>Use your telekinesis to grab and throw both of them into the air as high as you can, let them detonate far away from any of you
>Ascend into your Berserker God form and let him hit you, your power is so high in that form those explosives shouldn't even scratch you
>Grab your attacker and throw him skyward, let him be the only victim of his sudden suicide attack
>Drop your Energy Body and create a Barrier around you both, contain the blast while transforming so you won't take any life-threatening damage from the blast
>Draw even more power into your Energy Body to turn it Unmovable, tank his blast head-on without budging
>Draw upon the Soulstone's power while dropping your Energy Body, create a Barrier around the splitjaw so that only he is damaged by the ensuing blast

Knowing how they work, you immediately backstep, focusing on your telekinesis grab each of them with a hand. Then, before the Sangheili can recover from missing, you tear the explosives out of his hands, sending both flying straight up into the sky. However, as your arms are both overhead, looking up at the bombs you see twin beams, Freeza's Eye Beams no doubt pierce each of the explosives, destroying them midair. Only for your instincts to suddenly blaze in warning. And, looking down, you see that the splitjaw has drawn a rather sizeable spike of pink crystal, lunging up off the ground at you with it held in both hands.

“DIE!” he shouts, kicking off the ground at you with his full strength, putting everything he's got behind the exploding crystal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDWza6ZFU2U

But as it strikes your energy body it shatters, the piercing crystal no match for your Energy Body.

“N-No...!” he says, mouth hanging open as he stares at the shattered crystal in his hand, several shards of it sticking into his own hands and your Energy Body both. Which all start to glow. Immediately you drop your Energy Body, the shards stuck in it falling to the ground as you leap back, Freeza dashing back as well as he knows what's going to happen.

KABOOM

“Guyaaaaaah!!” he cries out in pain as his hands are obliterated in the blast, dropping down to his knees as his blood is spilled. Immediately you reach out telepathically to your daughter Caulifla, seeing if she can come to you. Which she does, appearing beside you after a second while everyone's staring at the man in shock.
“Can you help him kiddo?” you ask, Caulifla nodding to you. But she doesn't look happy, calling her Stand to her and turning it into that golden armor to protect herself before approaching the injured splitjaw. He looks up as she and you step closer, eyes wide with fear. But she doesn't say anything to him, kneeling before him while softly ringing her chime, muttering the words to her healing miracle. Then, with a final syllable she raises the bell, ringing it once more and releasing a wave of golden energy. You feel that familiar, soothing warmth, the Sangheili clearly feeling it too and looking down to his hands. Watching as, before his eyes, his hands are completely repaired! “Wh-What? How?”

“Thanks kiddo.” you say to her, patting her head despite your daughter nearly being as tall as you are now. “Appreciate it.”
“Need me to stick around a bit, or...?” she asks uncertainly, to which you shake your head.
“I think that's all, nobody else is going to do what he did.” you answer, Caulifla hugging you before using Instant Transmission to teleport herself back home. You then turning your attention back to the downed being.

“You. What is your name.” you ask him, the being not hearing you, too stunned with his hands being recreated. You kneel down, snapping your fingers in front of his face once. He starts, falling back a bit as he sees you so close to him. “Hey. What is your name?”
“Y-Ypa. Ypa 'Dagam.” the would-be assassin says, now looking even more frightened. Yet, even with everything that happened, the fire of defiance hasn't fully vanished from his eyes. So, you feel a small bit of respect grow for this being, who was brave enough to try and avenge his family even against someone he damn well knew he wouldn't beat. Pushing yourself back up to your feet you sigh out, then hold your hand down towards him.

“Come on. Get up.” you say, the Sangheili looking from your eyes to your open hand and back, stunned.
“Wha-Why? Why did you heal me?” he asks, sounding on the verge of a breakdown. “Why did you heal me? Just kill me already! End my suffering, let me rejoin my family in the next life!”

Well? What now?

As the man before you breaks down, trembling as tears fall from his eyes, you freeze in place. How similar this man is to your daughter, when Chaya lost it after what happened between yourself and Raditz stands out to you. But he's not your daughter, you've no doubt he wouldn't want you of all beings comforting him. So, instead you turn your gaze from the broken man over to the Arbiter, who quickly gestures for two of his men to take the sobbing man away. Two Sangheili warriors cautiously approach, getting his arms over their shoulders and starting to walk away. But as they do, you reach down and pick up his weapons, calling out to them.

“Wait.” you say, the two stopping and turning as you walk up, offering the weapon hilts to them. “He forgot these.”

The warriors stare from the weapons to your face for several quiet seconds, then each one takes one of the weapons before bowing to you. Then, wordlessly they turn again, taking Ypa 'Dagam away from you all. You watch as they take him away, the Arbiter approaching you once more.

“I apologize for my subordinate's behavior. He was out of line and will be reprimanded harshly.” Khor 'Vadam says, you turning to him.
“No. For ignoring orders do what you must, but don't punish him for attacking me.” you say, the Arbiter's eyes widening. The notable gouge in the metal over one eye reminding you of the first time you'd battled that first Arbiter and taken that eye, his swords nearly ending you and Meloka's lives in exchange. “I can't blame him for doing what I myself would have done, in the same situation.”

“Of course, General Karn. I shall take these words to heart.” the Arbiter says, Freeza laughing.
“Ohohohoho. Yes, this planet wouldn't still be here, were someone to successfully destroy my friend's family.” the former emperor says casually. “Even I, were I to threaten his family again, would prove to be no match.”

And as Freeza speaks you remember back, seeing again him shooting a beam at Broly with lethal intent. For a moment your Berserker rage flares, emerald aura faintly appearing around you. The ground itself trembles, the Soulstone glowing bright at your momentary lapse in control. Which you quickly get a handle on, sighing out and forcibly lowering your power. You may have forgiven him, but you sure as hell haven't FORGOTTEN what he tried to do, all for the sake of fighting you at full strength. The Arbiter looks from you to Freeza, clearly wanting to back away as he senses the surge of rage. But once it's back under control he visibly relaxes, sensing the immediate danger has passed.

“So, why have you summoned me here?” you ask the Arbiter directly. “Was this all, or was there more?”
“There was one other thing I wished to ask you.” he says, and for a moment sounds unsure. But then he takes a deep, calming breath, then looks you in the eyes. “I wish to fight you. One on one.”
“Ohhh?” Freeza says, sounding intrigued.
“Fight me? Sure, but why?” you ask, the Arbiter signaling for one of his men to come over, handing the regenerating machine the first Arbiter used in one of your fights over, as well as an object that looks like one of those grenades, just a little larger.

“Ever since the war, when I became Arbiter, some part of me has felt that I do not deserve this power.” he says, the assistant backing away quickly as Khor 'Vadam cracks his neck back and forth. “I have had my doubts that I live up to the legends who came before me. So, I ask that you, General Karn, Dragon of New Salda and slayer of two Arbiters, fight me as well. Compare my strength and skill to those who came before, to truly see if I deserve the title of Arbiter.”

“Alright, I accept.” you say, a grin coming to your face. You'd had your suspicions that you and he would come to blows, but this isn't quite how you'd imagined it happening.
“Very well. I shall officiate this match, to ensure that we have as fair a fight as possible.” Freeza declares, and in a flash transforms into his Golden form. “Both fighters, ready yourselves.”

You walk back over to where you'd dropped your weapons earlier, grabbing both of them off the ground and sling both onto your back as Khor 'Vadam draws his golden energy blade once again.

“Come at me with everything you've got!” you tell the Arbiter, who silently nods to you, his power surging as he readies himself for battle. You let your own power swell as well, drawing on your Berserker strength. And, with a fierce battle cry, transform.

“GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Yeah this is sadly pretty much what I expected it to be between Raditz and Chaya. It sucks it ended this way but their young adults and thats their mistakes to make.

Otherwise, I'm really on the edge of my set to see the updated PL Pastebin and Transformation pastbin.

Speaking of GD, with us being Berserker Soul
2d now, does that double the multiplier vs just gods, or gods and mortals?

And yeah, mad respect to this Arbiter, and his Stand is scary for how it can let you analyze people, and if this was a few months ago I'm pretty confident he might win.

Sadly for him our soul isn't exactly the same as it was a few months ago, though most of his info will still be viable.
>>
>>5788224
His predecessor fought you publicly for his honor, it would be shameful to do anything less now.
>>5788329
She had chance after chance, but sadly didn't think he'd ever actually leave. She thought that he'd complain and grumble but at the end of the day would still be there as he always was.
It wasn't a straight double multiplier when the souls were combined, as the one from the 'original' reality was severely lessened by nearly being erased. Being resistant is not the same thing as immune.
He is as clever as any Arbiter before him, plus notice when he summoned his Stand where he was standing/kneeling before. Man's on his Jojo part 2 timing today.

No, Chaya never fought an Arbiter. She did fight a Stand-wielding Sangheili in Dreadzone before, it was how she got her first serious scar, the one over her left eye. But he wasn't an Arbiter.
>>
>>5788385
Here's a dumb question.But I've never really understood it.

If the time patrol are time travelers, why don't they take advantage of that fact more? Like yes, they come into our time line to stop us because we are the bad guys, but they just fight us and then leave?

Wouldn't it make more sense to fight us, leave, rest and recuperate, and come back at the same time they left and repeat the process until Karn gets so worn down that they get him?
>>
>>5788464
It is related to how the timelines, and more specifically the Time Scrolls themselves work. This is never expressly explained, but I think I have a good working understanding of them on a functional and conceptual level. The Time Scrolls are, to a certain extent, self-regenerating. Throughout your character's arc in Xenoverse 2, you interact with Goku over and over, saving him repeatedly yet each time he doesn't recognize nor even know who you are. Even late into the game when he's SSB, he says "I don't know who you are, but I have this strange feeling we've met before" or something along those lines, paraphrasing. By 'correcting' the fate and helping events play out as they should, the Time Scroll starts healing itself, erasing the changes that weren't supposed to be there slowly over time and reverting the history back to how it was Fated to happen. Goku doesn't remember you helping him fight Freeza, nor does he remember Cooler as those events were 'erased' when the timeline was repaired, everything going back to how it was supposed to go after history was righted.

But if a Time Patroller were to repeatedly reinsert themself into the timeline, over and over into a single battle, their presence there becomes more 'canon' to the timeline, leaving it unable to ever return to how it was. And, in some cases, perhaps in other realities that no longer exist, trapping those Time Patrollers IN that time, the Time Scroll refusing to let them leave anymore as they now 'belong' to that timeline.
>>
>>5788495
Under your theory, it'd be good to describe it as a sort of inverse decompression sickness. They can't go again too quickly or they'll get the dreaded TIME BENDS.
>>
>>5788520
I'd compare it to our limited ventures into the Abyss.
Stay too long or enter too often, you end up attuned to that space and unable to leave.
>>
>>5788495
That makes sense, thank you.
>>
>>5788495
I just realized, if Khor read our soul...he knows everything, right?

What are his thoughts on our extra-temporal activities?
Would he ever stand by us against Chronoa?
>>
>>5788520

>>5788529
Yes, there are some similarities.
>>5788542
Of course, I’m sure everyone with a brain wondered the same at least once before just chalking it up to a plot hole. But I never like that answer unless there really is nothing more to it after a deep dive. Old Souls lorediving habits bleed into other games.

If there's one thing GD's demonstrated over the last 7 years, it's consistency and dedication.
>>
>>5792313
Yes, six years plus going strong. And I’m flattered, but no. Someone like Kato’s Tuffle Quest deserves the moniker more, as she’d been running it on /tg/ for years before the split
>>
>>5792698
Tuffle quest is mid and she doesn’t run nearly as often
Its harsh but true
>>
>>5792313
We need to be in the 800+ range before we can pretend to be one piece
>>
>>5792713
She may not run as often but be nice to Kato. One of the main inspirations I had to run my own quest.
>>5792726
I already made that mistake once, not saying “We’Ll NeVeR rEaCh ThAt MaNy” again,
>>
>>5792730
I mean, 800 IS a pretty big number...
I guess we'll have to wait until we get to the end

I am so happy.

And I am very happy that Saiyan Conqueror Quest is still going. I mean it. It's awesome that you bring this adventure for us. Thanks a lot GD.

>>5792924
I like how they keep plastering Toriyama's name all over the thing as if that's a measure of quality anymore.
>>
>>5792698
>>5792713
Tuffle quest has the biggest fucking autist I've ever seen, and every time I am reminded of his existence it makes me more and more thankful for all of you guys.

>>5792928
It is a mark of higher quality than Toyotaro, at the very least.
>>
>>5792918
Hwut?
>>5792924
Oh, I guess the outrage over “DB Magic” got them to change the name. I have…mixed feelings about this. I wanted anime of the manga, and I’m sure if I go to any social media they’ll be up in arms about it. But, I actually feel like Toriyama wanted to write a more humorous show like he always wanted, and didn’t want to create more characters. So, I’ll tentatively say that, if you liked old db’s jokes and humor style you’ll probably have a good time.
Thank you all for staying with me on this journey over years and years. It would not have happened without all the support I got over the years.
>>5792928
They remember BoG/ResF’s hype from years ago. But I think people misinterpret what that’ll mean. Things like GT, Minus, AF, etc weren’t dragonball because they didn’t have Toriyama’s sense of humor behind them.
>>5793192
Yes, is true. But not like the autists we have right here haven’t driven me damn near off the site for good.
Not quality, as he’s had just as much involvement of the story of the anime as he did the manga. But more the little jokes, the humor and life of it. You CAN’T tell me the anime episode with Arale didn’t have his hands all over it with the jokes, even referencing Neko Majin in it albeit indirectly with a quote

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 204 Epilogue-

AGE 757, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE

“Are you both ready?” you ask your allies, turning from the crystal platform to the two nation leaders, who still look to be polar opposites. On the one hand you have Ainz Ooal Gown, the towering skeleton ruler of the Sorcerer Kingdom who stands nearly eye level to your father. And on the other you have Rimuru Tempest, the slime who ascended to a Demon Lord to resurrect his fallen friends and allies who is even shorter than you. Both of who are insanely powerful beings, for this world, each having allied with you and the Crimson Demon village you protect.

“Well, only one way to see if this grand idea of yours works.” Ainz says with a toothy smile.
“Yes, I'm rather curious if it will work as well.” Rimuru says, a hand on his chin as he looks over your crystal platform. “If all of your calculations are right, it should work.”
“You check it over with your Raphael skill?” you ask him, the slime nodding. “Well then, guess I'll fire it up. Stand back, just in case I got something wrong and it blows. If this thing goes nuclear, don't want anyone getting caught in the blast.”
“Running off these ley lines, this creation of yours is going to have a LOT of power coursing through it.” Ainz says, taking several steps back before he starts flashing several different colors in quick succession. No doubt applying his buffs, preparing to negate the damage of any magical explosions. “Ready.”
“Ready.” Rimuru says cheerfully, hands care-freely on the back of his head.

“My name is Chilli, son of Karn! First and greatest Saiyan archwizard, master of Chaos and the Final Scribe's God-slaying Reaper!” you declare, giving your introduction before activating the massive crystal ring. “And now, creator of the Crystal Hub! ACTIVATE!”

And with that final shout drop down to a knee, slapping your right hand on the center of the crystal construct and activating it. Built as a giant crystal circle on the ground, the crystal circle with currently two arches, each one on opposite ends, you activate the device. Built using the combined knowledge of yourself, Ainz Ooal Gown and Rimuru Tempest, using the natural ley lines of the world, you activate the structure. It takes everything you've got to not only activate the circle here, but the ones in both Ainz and Rimuru's capitol cities simultaneously. The entire, solid crystal begins to hum, vibrating as the ley line's overflowing magic surges into the construct. For a moment the hum reaches a painful pitch, you fearing it wouldn't work, but then you can feel it. The flow of incoming magical energy slows, the ley line regulating itself and allowing the mana to flow into and back out of the construct, like electricity through metal wire.

“Lord Ainz!” comes a woman's call, you looking up to see the portal to E-Rantel, capitol city of the Sorcerer Kingdom has wholly formed and Albedo, Ainz' succubus assistant rushing through towards him.
“Great Rimuru!” another woman's voice calls, the purple suit-wearing Kijin rushing through to the slime man in much the same way. What is it with these otherworlders and having large-chested women obsessed with them? “It worked!”

“Impressive work, Crystal Sage.” Ainz says to you, a note of awe in his tone as he speaks. “I must admit, I did have my doubts as to whether or not your crystals could contain the flow of energy.”
“Nah, I wasn't worried it wouldn't work. I was more worried you'd gotten the ley lines mixed up.” Rimuru comments, still seeming completely relaxed and not lowering his hands. “That you'd managed to combine them with these sites where the intersect is quite impressive. Are you sure you don't have your own version of Great Sage or something?”
“No, but having one does seem useful.” you reply to him, sighing out and rising back up to your feet. “Would have probably seen through Ainz's deception, when we formed our truce back in the day.”

And as you say this both of them immediately freeze in place, going impossibly still. Neither being needs to breathe, so they stand perfectly unmoving. No rise and fall from taking in breath, no shifting of their eyes, nothing. And for several seconds, all is silent.

“Oh?” Ainz finally asks, breaking the deathly silence. “And what do you mean by that?”
“I mean that I've known for years that you aren't one of Lord Jergal's chosen, permitted to use necromancy.” you say, still in a casual tone. But from the corner of your eye see Rimuru's eyes darting back and forth between you two, clearly unsure if he should try and intervene or if he should get the hell away. “But that doesn't matter now. We've made our alliance, even if under false pretenses, and you've long held up your end of the bargain. And, so long as you do so, I will as well.”

“That's right, that's right, we're all friends here.” Rimuru says, interjecting himself and trying to defuse the sudden tension in the air. “C'mon guys, we just put our heads together and achieved something great, today's a cause for celebration, not fighting.”
“Haaah, you're right. But, I must ask: how? How did you see through my spell?” Ainz asks, no doubt wondering how his spell to hide his true alignment from you. To which you just grin, and say:

“I didn't.”

Jaw dropping in shock, Ainz is frozen in place for several seconds before realizing that he'd been had, starts laughing. His deep, booming voice echoes through the nearby village, several of the onlookers stopping to look at him a moment before continuing on their day. Life in the Crimson Demon village has changed so much since you'd joined your wife here that a skeleton mage laughing isn't worth more than a second glance.

“Well played. Now then, let us prepare a celebration, a feast worthy of all three of our cities!” Ainz declares, turning to his nearly ever-present follower Albedo. “Albedo. You know what to do.”
“Of course, Lord Ainz.” she replies, bowing before flying back through the portal she'd come through.
“A feast? Great, I'll cook something special up as well!” Rimuru's secretary Shion declares, jiggling as she straightens her back. You glance over to Rimuru, seeing a look of horror on his face at the thought. A moment later, another of Rimuru's secretaries, this one the powerful demon wearing attire quite similar to that of the masked demon Vanir steps through.

“Lady Shion, urgent business has come up that needs your immediate attention.” the demon remarks, shooting a glance over at Rimuru before meeting her gaze. She immediately abandons that thought, nodding back and sprinting through the portal. Rimuru then shares a look with the demon that looks almost thankful, making a small hand gesture with his palms together. The demon bows to Rimuru before rising, but as he does, for just a moment, you see something through the corner of your eye at the edge of the portal. A face you could never forget, that makes your blood run cold.

“Shit!” you seethe through clenched teeth under your breath, immediately Ascending and dashing through the portal to Rimuru's city. The instant you're through you look back and forth, seeking that damned monster. You're sure you saw him, as if you could ever forget that face. “Where are you?”
“Uhh, Chilli? Everything okay?” Rimuru asks, stepping through the gateway as well. You turn back, again seeing that damned red and white face with its evil, menacing grin just around the portal. But in that moment the slime distracted you, he vanished. You take a deep breath, remembering that he's dead and gone for good sigh out, powering back down.

“Don't worry, it wasn't anything.” you tell him, turning back to him. “Just an old ghost. One that can't hurt anyone anymore.”
“I...I see...” he replies uncertainly, looking at you with a bit of concern. But it doesn't bother you, pushing the thoughts of the clown aside.

But, even after the celebration at the end of the day, you lying there in bed with your wife, you can't get the thoughts of that monster out of your head. As you lay there in the pitch darkness, you can almost hear that damned clown's laughter in your mind. And as the night goes on, you decide that it's time. Time for you to finally go back to face that demon head-on and put it to rest once and for all. You try slipping out of bed without waking your wife, but, unfortunately, you aren't stealthy enough.

“Mrrhrmm, Chi?” she asks, rolling over and looking towards you, sounding still half asleep. “You okay?”
“Everything's fine hun, I just can't get to sleep.” you tell her, walking over to the table and pulling your pants on before making your way to your workshop upstairs. “I'll be up in the lab for a bit to try and tire myself out.”
“Okay. Do-Don't stay up too late.” she replies with a yawn, laying back down then adds with a teasing tone. “Don't let me get cold over here.”

“I won't.” you reply, her tease putting a smile on your face as you head up the stairs. You quietly step up into your lab, creating a small, growing crystal in your hand and setting it on your desk, lighting up the room just enough for you to see. Quickly you get dressed, donning your armor then robes and gathering your weapons and a few tools you've made before telepathically reaching out to Towa through the demonic seal she gave you years ago. “Hey, Towa. I need your help with something. There's a score I need to go and settle, once and for all.

Is he still at it?
I left a long time ago.
>>
>>5793243
Man Chili are you really going to go back into that circus to fight your PTSD? I dunno if thats the bravest or stupidest thing youve ever done if so.
>>
>>5793263
Yes.
>>5793266
He’s going into -A- circus. But not of a timeline where HE was the one of his siblings that clown kidnapped.
>>
>>5793243
Chilli i'm proud of you for this but you are also a fucking moron for doing this. That clown is some actually stupid dangerous shit even now, even if you had Karn with you because conceptual bullshit is in fact bullshit.
>>
>>5793275
This epilogue will be continued later. I wanted to get a lot further, but work’s been kicking my ass this week. Haven’t been home before 7pm a single day yet, when work’s supposed to end at 5
>>
>>5793266
>>5793275
Bravery and foolishness are two sides of the same coin, as they say.
>>
I thought chaya won the vote. (Even if it was only 3 to 2
>>
>>5793203
Yeah Toyo does tend to write things much more humorless than Toriyama does. You can tell when Toriyama's putting in some corrections, like when it was revealed Gas kept pissing himself when he got scared.

>>5793263
I mostly checked out when his suptg vote manipulation scheme got outed, but you made me want to check. As of the most recent thread, he was pulling the literal oldest trick in the book of "that was my brother" when he got caught samefagging support for his own posts. And looks like every other post with that motherfucker is some kind of rant about how awful the others are for not... taking some random fanfic (fapfic?) he made seriously?

I think he's gotten worse, if anything.

>>5793243
Chilli what are you doing
This isn't going to end well
>>
>>5793275
He believes that he is ready to fight that monster once again. And that now, with or without Death magic, he can crush CFR.
>>5793326
Quite. But we’ll have to wait and see what happens. All I’ll say for now is he isn’t going to a timeline where HE was the one the clown snatched from the Lucrehulk. When given the choice he’d protect his siblings first, believing they’d all do the same for him.
>>
>>5793369
It wasn’t a vote, forgot to specify that. But I will be hitting the Chaya one for the next intermission, barring something wild coming up.
>>5793371
Right? Toriyama clearly wants to keep the tone lighter than the more serious direction it took once Raditz showed up.
It might not end well. But he’s been preparing for years, should something like that monster appear again. And, unlike before, he truly understands his magic now. And how Disparity can damage even Stands.
>>
>>5793243
Oh God fucking damnit it's back and we dont have the Dragon....
>>
>>5793676
>back
That implies what Chilli saw wasn’t just a ghost of a nightmare. His mind conjuring his demon as he achieves something, reminding him how weak he really is.
>>
>>5793866
.....and everyone knows that doesn't mean shit with that abomination you created.

Jesus christ. Alright, what's our gameplan here?
Khor is most definitely reading our soul through the soulstone right now, so he might have some foresight as to our opening attack.
Me personally? I'm leaning towards a Su-Ma opener, just to see how he fares against that style compared to his predecessors.
>>
24 hours to go until episode 205 begins. I hope you’re ready to face your third Arbiter, and perhaps a greater threat
>>

Since it's been awhile since I asked a whole bunch of questions.

What are the kids opinion of Karn?
Now that chili is a dad how has that changed his perspective of Karn?
How are Broly and Starfire doing?
How is Turles and his daughter doing?
What's kakarot been up to?

Has Frieza been enjoying training with Karn and not being the emperor?
How does cooler feel about all the responsibilities of being the emperor upon his shoulders?

Has batman learned about Ki yet?
How has raven been?
What's Ubo up to?
What does Clark think of Ubo and vice versa?

Have you thought of adding in anything from the invincible series?
>>
>>5793914
I’ll take that as a compliment.
>>5793973
A solid plan. But one he would definitely see coming.
>>5794015
Dad’s the best
I’ve answered this before, but now that he has two children at different stages of development he understands you far more.
Well, we shall see more this arc.
Much better. She’s showing no symptoms of what she went through, much to Turles’ relief.
Training, going on assignments with his team.
Very much so.
Cooler quite enjoys it, even the mundane. HE is the one in charge, as he feels he should always have been.
He already knew quite a lot, but didn’t know it could be used so…externally. Is researching the subject.
Content and happy. Wishing Ubo would spend a little more time on New Salda and not so much away on Earth, but he discovered distant kin and she understands his wanting to know his people.
Clark thinks Ubo’s quite the deep thinker, while Ubo thinks Clark is a bit soft. But both appreciate the other’s perspectives. And while it wasn’t asked, Ubo quite likes Kara. We’ll keep her thoughts on him a secret for now.
