With the defeat of Majin Buu and the Remnants at the Battle of Namek, peace has come to the Seventh Universe. With no imminent battles to fight or wars to wage, the Saiyans have enjoyed their first long-term peace since their ancestors first landed on Planet Vegeta all those years ago. Yet this peacetime hasn't slowed the progress of the warrior race known as the Saiyans, whose power have continued to grow day after day. Foremost among this warrior race is the Fateless man known as the “Dragon of New Salda” and the first Super Saiyan to have appeared in a thousand years.

You the players play as this warrior named Karn in the year Age 756 normally, a man who has grown from a brawler with a powerlevel less than three thousand to now being the strongest of his kind, wielding the ancient emerald power of the Berserker and father of nearly a dozen children with his wife Meloka. However, this time, we'll be assuming Meloka's point of view for the titular Battle of Gods, for reasons soon revealed.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The Battle of Gods had begun, Karn and Meloka both undertaking the Super Saiyan God ritual to attain their new forms. With Karn's strongest Berserker form and Meloka's Super Saiyan God, the two Saiyans battled the Destroyer of Universe 7 with their new strengths. But after Beerus nearly killed Meloka, the divine power of Super Saiyan God bloomed, healing her from the damage and bringing her back into the fight, stronger than ever. And even Freeza and Cooler joined in on the fight too, both wielding the Golden form of their clan against the God of Destruction as Karn went in and out of control. But in the end, only Freeza and Karn were still standing when Beerus fired his final attack. Divine Dragon Force destroyed the blast, Beerus' attendant Whis intercepting both Karn and Beerus before they could clash for a final time, ending the battle. And as we rejoin Karn, after several revelations, you have all returned to your ship to let Megumin sit back down and rest.

“I still can't believe that you're giving up control.” you say to Freeza as your wife and children are all gathered around Megumin and her and Chilli's new son, your granddaughter still holding onto her tooth that her brother knocked out like some sort of trophy. “Is that what he demanded when you'd lost?”
“Demanded? No, it was not a hostile takeover. Rather, upon my defeat I had a realization.” your longtime friend says, looking down at his right hand. “Is ruling the universe something I really wanted? Or was this path set for me by my father since I hatched? From when I was very young, Father always said that one day I'd rule the universe. I never questioned it, just going along and learning to rule. But was it what I wanted? Brother always desired the throne more than I, I simply kept it as I believed it my birthright. And, of course, to spite him. The arrogant prick.”

As he says this your granddaughter flies up to Chaya's head, resting on her shoulder and looking down at her brother with her gap-toothed grin. Her smile makes you grin, glancing back to Freeza to see him looking at your family with an odd look.

“How differently my own life could have gone.” he says after a moment's silence between you. “Which is what brings me to my question.”

As he says this, suddenly you get the feeling this is more important to him than his announcement to the universe that he was stepping down as emperor, letting his brother run things.

“Will you allow me to live here?”

“.......Huh?” you ask, confused. Did he just ask what you thought he asked? “Did you just...?”
“Yes, Karn. I would like to stay here with you and your family, at least for a time.” he says, sounding sincere. “It has been too many years since you and I trained together, my personal growth has stalled to virtually nothing over these last few years. I want to stay here for a time, training constantly to improve myself. With my brother's current level of power, I estimate that I can surpass him with just two years' effort.”

Well? How do you respond?
>Ask him what he'll do once he's surpassed his brother and judge him based on the answer he gives you
>Of course, he can live with you and your family as long as he wants. His power will no doubt help you and Meloka mastering your newfound powers
>Tell him that depends on how his apology to Broly goes and if your son accepts, then telepathically call your son over after explaining it. If push comes to shove, you'll choose your family he wronged over him
>Telepathically ask your wife what she thinks, if she believes that this is a good idea or not and trust her judgment

You don't immediately answer, looking back to your son and his wife, your children and now two grandchildren around them as they laugh about something. Sure, you helped him before, but he didn't exactly keep going. Will he do the same thing again, reach some new plateau then quit once again?

“And then what?” you ask him after several seconds silence between you both. “What then?”
“Well, then I will train for an additional year, to ensure that I'm the stronger.” Freeza says, not getting your point. You shake your head and stand up, sighing out. Your body is still completely exhausted from the battle with Beerus, but that's no excuse.
“You don't get it. After you train, what will you do then?” you ask him. “Will you abandon your training as before, content to sit atop the throne of 'strongest'? How long will this new plateau last, before someone else topples you again?”

“What are you suggesting?” he asks, brows furrowed in confusion as he remains seated.
“The chance to make yourself better.” you reply, holding out your hand. Which he goes to take, but you jerk your hand away. He looks up from his hand to you, confusion and a hint of anger visible on his face. “No. What I'm offering you isn't just to live and train here with my family for some time just for you to abandon it again. To reach a level you're satisfied with then quit trying. If you want to train with me again, you're going to have to swear to me that you'll not abandon it again. You'll work to keep improving yourself every single day even after you leave, never being content with the level you are at but seeking what lies beyond.”

“What lies beyond...?” Freeza mutters, almost to himself more than you.
“Yes, beyond. Beyond your current limits, beyond this Golden form of yours.” you say, his eyes widening in shock. “If you want to train with me again, you will swear to me that you'll never stop improving. Because if you start to slack off again and I surpass you, I won't help a third time. You'll be on your own for good.”

Silence hangs over the two of you, even the sounds of your family all gushing over the baby have stopped as you stare Freeza down. You then offer him your hand, Freeza not immediately taking it.

“What do you say? Are you ready?” you ask him, meeting the emperor's eyes as he's clearly thinking your words over. And when he speaks, it isn't with an immediate answer either.
“Now I am beginning to see.” he says, turning his head from you and looking back over towards your family. “I think I'm starting to understand you better, Karn.”

He then reaches out and grabs not your hand but your forearm, you clasping his as he meets your eyes, a small spark of something you've not seen in quite a while there.

“I accept your terms. I, former Emperor of the Universe Freeza, will become your disciple once more.” he says, the two of you shaking once before you each let go. You then immediately turn, walking down the hall. “Karn? Where are you going?”
“We're starting.” you say without looking back, heading over towards the gravity chamber's entrance. “Let's go.”
“What, today? After everything? Are you-?” he starts to ask, but your look over your shoulder stops him mid-sentence. Immediately the former emperor starts walking after you instead, not speaking up again until you've opened the chamber door. “Shouldn't you rest, after what happened today?”

“My enemies won't give me even the time I've had today to rest between fights.” you reply, entering the chamber and walking directly over to the control panel. Freeza shuts the door behind him, you activating the chamber and starting right at 50x New Salda's gravity. Freeza initially buckles under the enhanced gravity, falling to his hands and his knees, but after a few moments to gather his strength he rises. “Good. Now, let's get to work.”

You guide Freeza through the same workout you'd done that morning with your daughter Chaya, every muscle in your body aching and burning with each exercise. Yet despite how badly your own body hurts, you grind your way through each one. Freeza, meanwhile, tries his best, but he can't keep pace with you for even a single one. And by the end he's laying flat on the ground, struggling to catch his breath as he'd fallen off the bar. You drop down, landing on your feet then walking over to the gravity controls. You shut down the machine then turn to the former emperor, kneeling down and offering him a hand.

“Not bad Freeza.” you say, your friend groaning before struggling up onto all fours before taking your hand, you standing and hauling him up to his feet. He sways back and forth, you holding him upright by your grip until he regains his balance. “The workout starts early tomorrow morning.”
“I understand. I will be there.” he replies, then falls down to a sitting position. “Damn, I'm exhausted. Feel free to go on ahead, I'll leave when I'm ready. Don't wait up on my account.”
“Very well.” you reply, turning and heading back out of the chamber. As you do, you focus on your ki sense, trying to decide where to go next.

With you accepting Freeza, welcoming him to stay here in your home, there's exactly one person you need to talk to first. Focusing your ki sense, you feel that Broly's no longer in the ship, instead outside with Koriand'r and, surprisingly, King Vegeta. But with him there, you can tell that this isn't some sort of intimate moment between them and decide to join him. With a small effort of will, bicep burning as you raise your right hand to your forehead, teleport to your son's side with Instant Transmission.

“-uch a thing isn't unheard of, but are you sure?” King Vegeta IV is asking your son, you looking from him to Broly. Your sudden appearance doesn't stop him speaking, the king continuing to address your son without breaking. “This could have dangerous consequences for the both of you.”
“I”m sure.” he replies, then turns to you. “Is something wrong?”
“No, I just wanted to talk to you.” you tell Broly, Kori and Vegeta looking on curiously. “About what Freeza and I just discussed.”

“So, he is wanting to stay here and train with you, so he could beat his brother after all.” Broly says, not asking and you feel your brow raise a little in surprise. Seeing your reaction he only smirks a little, just a hint at the corner of his mouth. “Figured that's what you two were talking about before you both left.”
“So you knew.” you reply, nodding once. “Yes, that's what he asked. And, after we talked, I thought I would let him stay. Which is why-”
“You then came here, to see how I'd take it after what he tried to do to me.” Broly replies, interrupting you. He then sighs out, raising his gaze to meet your own. “Look, I'll be fine dad. What he did was a stupid mistake, but that had nothing to do with me. He'd have done the same no matter which of your kids it was, he was trying to hurt you. But even after that, you still call him your friend. So, as long as you don't ask us to hold hands and make like nothing happened, I'll handle it. I'm not a kid anymore.”

“No, no you're not.” you say to your son, who stands an inch or maybe two taller than you now. “But if you want a turn to kick his ass for it, I'm sure I can arrange 'defensive training' and give you that much.”
“Heh, maybe sometime.” your son says with a genuine smile on his face, but then shakes his head. “You don't have to worry about me. But... I am glad you asked.”
“Of course. Freeza may be a friend, but you are my son. I-” you start to say, Broly surprising you by surging forward, grabbing you and holding you close. To which you just smile, patting him on the back for several moments until he starts pulling away. “So, what was this I was hearing about 'Dangerous Consequences'?”

“Broly and I are considering making what we have official.” Koriand'r says happily, smiling with such joy it's infectious. “But that's why we were talking with your King.”
“A union between Saiyan and non-Saiyan isn't unheard of, your niece Ticho and the half Ctarl-Ctarl girl, Aisha, for example. Or Maza, Milha, and Koruza.” King Vegeta says, adding in with a bit of a teasing tone. “But the problem comes in from, and no offense, but your family. Namely your sister, Koriand'r.”
“My sister isn't in my life anymore.” she replies immediately, King Vegeta shaking his head. “What?”

“That was with Freeza in charge. But Cooler and Freeza are two different men. He might not put up with your sister for long.” he tells her seriously. “What happens to your sister when she tries something with him, and he erases her? As her sister, doesn't that make you the ruler of Tamaran?”
“Well, yes, but not necessarily.” Koriand'r replies. “Rule of Tamaran is rule by the strongest. Were Cooler to murder my sister, he could decide that HE is the new king of my people. And if they agree with it, well, Cooler would be King of Tamaran. There is nothing in our own rules, at least of when I left that the ruler of Tamaran HAD to be a native Tamaranean. Probably a rule that was made as the colonies started thriving, but he could rule himself. I won't be forced into the role of Queen of Tamaran unless I go and take it.”

“I see.” King Vegeta says, no doubt contemplating how similarly the way King or Queen is decided among both of your people. As he does, Koriand'r turns to you, expression a bit more serious.
“Since he's unable to ask any of my family, I'll ask you as my current Guardian, General Karn: is it alright that he take my hand?” Koriand'r asks, catching you by surprise.

Yet despite your surprise at the sudden ask, your answer is ready to go almost immediately.

“As long as you treat each other right, I have no problems with the two of you being together.” you reply easily. “To be honest, I thought the two of you had been together this whole time, from the way you've been acting around each other. What, did you think I never saw the two of you?”
“I, uhh, well-” Broly starts, face and ears blushing in embarrassment. But the Tamaranean woman has no such inhibitions, turning back to him and lunging.
“YAAAAY!” she exclaims happily, wrapping him in her arms after slamming into him at full power. Despite being caught by surprise he catches her easily, your son strong enough to easily stop her. “Isn't this great? We don't have to be so sneaky now!”

“Y-Yeah.” he replies, seemingly a bit shocked by everything. King Vegeta then says something about an 'incoming problem', blasting off the ground and flying away back towards the city. You then turn away, leaving them to their moment only to see your son Chilli emerging from the ship with his family. Megumin's back on her feet, Meloka Wolbach leading her parents as she steps, arms swinging exaggeratedly as she marches. Only to stop when she sees you, standing up on her toes while waving both arms overhead.

“Byeeee Grandpa!” she shouts, waving enthusiastically. “Bye Broleee, bye Koriii!”
“Leaving so soon?” you ask, waving back a bit before walking over towards your firstborn son's family.
“Yeah, we're going home and taking some time to ourselves to rest.” Chilli replies, pointedly looking you over. “Like you should do as well, you look like you're about to collapse on your feet.”
“I'm almost done for the day.” you reply, stepping over to your son and daughter-in-law, placing a hand on each of their shoulders. “But if either of you need anything, don't hesitate to let me know.”

“We will.” Megumin replies, taking a deep breath in and yawning before leaning against her husband. Your son gives you a nod before bringing his hand up to his forehead, his Instant Transmission teleporting all four of them right back to his adopted world. You stand there beside where they were for a moment, feeling proud of your son. He's been through so much at such an early age, only to turn it all around and even have a family of his own. And as you turn to go back into your ship, smile on your face, you feel excited for the future, ready to see what it brings.

But just because the battle of your lives happened doesn't mean the rest of your day stopped. You continue your usual daily routine with your family, calling it a bit earlier than usual along with your wife, the two of you heading to sleep. As soon as your head hits the pillow all your thoughts drift away, immediately feeling that familiar darkness overtake you. Only for it to ignite in emerald flames that don't burn you, a deep, primordial roar bellowing at you from the abyss.

“GRRROOOAAAAAAAR!!” comes the Berserker's war cry, the fires blazing brighter as the familiar figure of the First Berserker appearing before you. But then, as he does, suddenly several magical circles appear, seemingly binding him completely in place. But as you look, he isn't struggling at all. As if trapped in time.
“Excellent work, Karn.” comes a familiar voice, you turning to see Mechikabura hovering there as casually as ever. “To force the angel Whis to step in, he must have believed that you were truly going to erase the Destroyer. And not once but twice! I must say, I am impressed.”

“Thanks, but I didn't do all that much. Meloka hit him harder than I did, hell she's the only one to really hurt him.” you reply, Mechikabura nodding along.
“Yes, your wife is quite the dangerous combatant. There is no doubt.” Mechikabura replies. “However, that won't hold him for much longer. So, we need to talk.”
“Sure.” you reply, glancing over to the Berserker Soul. And that's when you notice the magic circles have all started to crack, seems that even the power of a Demon God is weak to the Berserker's anti-divine powers. Good to know.

“Mastery over this power is the key. I need you to control that anti-god power.” he says seriously, turning from you to the seals he put, flakes of magic raining down from the discs as they continue fracturing. “With your power, I'll be able to direct you at a weak point in the outer wall surrounding Conton City, breaking through her time barrier and allowing us to enter the city. Then, once we've got our way in, my forces will invade, giving me the time I need to gather my remaining Dark Dragon Balls they have squirreled away inside.”
“And I'll finally get them back for all the bullshit they've done to my family.” you say, feeling your own rage, separate from the Berserker's ambient wrath infused in this space flare up, remembering all the hardship the Time Patrol have put you and your family through. Especially Future Chaya. “How do I master this power? I've beaten this spirit several times, but it just keeps coming back. Can I use my Stand on it?”

“You could, but that would weaken the power of the Berserker considerably. However, in this timeline you have a unique advantage you've never had before.” he says, grinning. “After all, you're not alone this time.”

But then the magical circles shatter completely, the Berserker Soul roaring in rage at having been restrained. You glance to it then back to Mechikabura, only for the Demon God to have vanished. Leaving you alone in this void with the personification of Wrath and a riddle.

“GRRAAAAAAAAA!!” the Berseerker's essence bellows, reminding you of the first time you'd battled that other you from the alternate time. And then it hits you, THAT was what Mechikabura was talking about! It had to be. But that leaves only one question:

What do you do now?
>If you're not alone, try and bring that other reality's Berserker Soul that's far more like you into this space, perhaps it'll help you fight the prime Berserker?
>Perhaps he meant the Berserker Soul in that other reality, try and draw out the power you'd gotten from it back when you'd defeated it the first time
>It may be an advantage, but if that other timeline's Karn can beat this thing without the handicap then so can you! You're fighting it alone

With this realization you draw upon that power deep into the darkness, down deep past the raging inferno of green fire into the void where that other power resides.

“GRRRROOOAAAAAAR!!” the Berserker Soul bellows, blasting towards you with its right drawn back, ready to swing. But then you feel it, you feel that other power and draw it out. The Berserker Soul swings, but before his fist can strike you it strikes... You. Or, rather, that other you, the first Berserker Soul's fist slamming into this other you's right hand. Stopping him in place, you seeing the surprise on the Prime Berserker Souls face as it grabs his fist. “What?!”
“GRRRRAAAAAA!!” your other dimension's soul roars, drawing his right back and swinging a left square into that other's jaw, knocking the original back and sending him tumbling. The emerald flames intensify as your other you roars, then it turns to you.

“Let's get him!” you tell yourself, clenching your fists and Ascending in a burst of sparks before condensing it down into your Energy Body. The alternate you Berserker Soul grins, aura blazing even higher before turning back to the Berserker Soul of this reality. And as one you both charge. “HRRRAAAA!”
“GRRRRAAAAA!!”

“GRRROOOAAAAR!!” the Berserker Soul bellows, you both crashing into it simultaneously. Your alternate reality counterpart immediately goes into the Djem So attacks, firing crushing blow after deflecting the admittedly larger Berserker's strikes. But in between your other you's attacks you lunge in, driving elbows and knees, fists and shins into the openings the other you makes while flipping and spinning around in the Su Ma style, much as you and Meloka had before against Beerus.

But unlike the God of Destruction, the Berserker Soul doesn't have the same dodging ability as the Destroyer. It takes every hit both of you throw out, quickly growing more and more angry that he can't land a hit. The first Berserker then roars, aura blazing out from it and forming a sphere around it, knocking both you and your alternate reality self back. But this shield is different than a simple explosive wave, its actually a solid sphere. And, you notice, it's expanding. Pushing both you and your other self towards the flames.

“Dammit!” you snarl, remembering that during the battle with Beerus, when the Berserker Soul pushed you outside the 'ring' of emerald flames, it would take control. You have to stop this attack, to break through somehow or else you're going to go berserk!

“Shit!” you snarl, thinking of only a single way to escape this predicament. Dropping your Energy Body, you slam your left elbow into your shield, bracing your left forearm against the shield while gather all of your ki into your right hand. With only seconds to act you form your Piercing Fist, slamming that piercing point into the Berserker's spherical shield just below your left. The point pierces through, you shoving the fingers of your left hand into the hole, tearing the opening wider. “HAAAAA!!”

Throwing yourself forward, you dive through the opening, getting past the shield. Before the Berserker Soul can react you dash forward, driving the point of your Piercing Fist square into its chest. Glowing green blood sprays from the wound, dousing you as the Berserker Soul screams in pain and rage.

“GUUUH! GYAAAAAAAH!!” it roars, body spasming violently as its power goes haywire. Then, for some reason it EXPLODES! Detonating right in your face, the force of the explosion scorches your body, blasting you back and away until your back strikes something, knocking the wind from you. But then your eyes snap open as you sit up, finding yourself laying back in your bed.
“Karn? What's wrong?” Meloka asks, you turning to see your wife looking at you with eyes filled with concern. “Karn, its me, Meloka.”
“What?” you mutter, feeling confused. “Of course its you. Why are you up?”
“Your body was thrashing in your sleep, so I got the kids back.” she says, you noticing the sleeping forms of your younger children all held on clusters of Meloka's Warding Eyes. And that's when you notice that the entire room, despite being filled with her golden orbs, is tinted green. And you feel a lot stronger than your wife, despite her being in her Super Saiyan 3 form. “What happened?”

And, sure enough, looking over towards the mirror see that you've transformed once more. Somehow, in your sleep you'd taken on that Berserker's full power, hair reaching down your back as you stare at yourself.

What now?
>Try and power back down and go back to sleep after apologizing and thanking Meloka for keeping the kids' safety first in her mind
>Tell Meloka to lay back down with the kids, you're going to try and work this power off on Raxus Prime before going back to bed. The last thing you want is an accident

“Freeza, are you up?” you think out to Freeza, who answers after a second.
“Karn? What's going on?” Freeza asks you, a hint of worry in his mind. “Why are you transformed?”
“It's time to get to training, you and me.” you reply to him, quickly telling him your plan before ending the mental link. You then speak aloud, whispering to your wife in the room. “Freeza and I are going to go train, since I've transformed it'd be a waste to just try and power down. Hopefully work on controlling it.”

“Alright, let me know if you need any help.” she replies with a yawn, calling her Warding Eyes down and laying the children down after she climbs back into the bed. “Good luck.”
“Thanks.” you reply, leaning down and kissing your wife on the forehead before turning to the door. With a thought you grab your training uniform and dress before heading out, the suit feeling a bit tight around your chest as you leave your ship behind. As you walk down the ramp, taking a deep breath of the morning air in you feel your power swelling, your body trembling as your ki swells. Knowing what's coming you raise your right hand after taking a few more steps away from your ship, firing a powerful wave of ki straight into the air. Burning off a bit of the excess ki this form is making, the trembling in your body stops after a second or two. Sighing out you lower your arm, turning back to the ramp as you sense Freeza walking down.

“Someone's got a bit of energy today. Although, I AM surprised to see you in this form again so soon.” Freeza says to you casually, body shifting to golden as he steps out of the shadow, once more becoming Golden Freeza. “So, what are the rules of engagement this fine morning?”
“We're gonna head over that way, deep into the clearing where we fought Beerus yesterday.” you say, gesturing back over your shoulder with a thumb. “And then we're going to throw down.”
“And what if you lose control?” he asks, voicing your own concern.
“Try and bring me back, but not at the cost of yourself.” you reply. “And keep my planet safe.”

“Understood.” he replies, nodding once. “Lead the way.”
“Let's go.” you say, kicking up off the sandy ground, not even flying just jumping. And you kick off with such force that you leap over the channel, clearing it entirely and landing on the far shore. Freeza flies after you while you jump again, this time flying as you lead the way. It only takes a couple seconds to arrive at the battlefield, trees down, craters in the ground so deep they go all the way to the M'lurnian ruins, you crashing down beside the biggest crater. Freeza flies to a stop a moment later, you turning to face him and taking your fighting stance.

“SHYAAAAA!!” Freeza shouts, blazing down at you with his golden aura blazing. Your right slams into his, the shock wave blasting out as your fist stops his own. He then spins counterclockwise around your right arm, closing the distance further and swinging a left elbow at your face. But you stop that easily, reaching up and catching his elbow with your left hand while drawing your right back. “Tch!”
“HAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, firing a heavy right uppercut at his lower back. But as you do he flips up and over your left, driving a knee at your head. Forcing you to release him and lean back, narrowly dodging the blow that he then follows up with a turning right aimed at your head as well. But with your left arm free you raise it, blocking the kick with your forearm before shoving him back. “Hrraah!”

Freeza flips back, landing on his feet and charging at you once again. However, despite his speed and power, knowing how the Su Ma works you're able to block each of his attacks despite changing his levels and which side he's attacking from constantly. That is, until you spot a mistake. As he twists clockwise out around another right he doesn't get far enough away, you snapping your elbow out and slamming it into the base of his neck.

“GUH-!” he exclaims, stunned for a moment by the heavy blow. But right as you're about to rush in, to take advantage of the opening once again, everything goes dark. Emerald flames then burn out once more, the Berserker Soul reappearing. However, you know how to handle it now, summoning that other reality's you forth once more. Two on one, you easily overpower the Berserker Soul this time with power and numbers. Each of 'you' grab onto one of the original Berserker's arms, driving your other fists into his guts simultaneously. Only to follow up by releasing your holds with opposite arms, throwing heavy haymakers at its head from opposite sides. With that much crushing power slamming down on him, the Berserker Soul's head explodes. But this time you see that other you reaching out, drawing more and more motes of that decomposing form into itself. You try and mimic that, only to snap back to the battle going on outside your head with Freeza's elbow in your guts.

You're still in control, but what now?

“Guh! GRRRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, firing a wave of ki from your mouth directly into him.
“Wh-What?!” Freeza exclaims, unable to get back before your beam slams into him. Your attack knocks him back, slamming him down into the ground as the recoil from your beam actually pushes you back as well. Your heels dig through the battle-scarred ground as you slide back several feet, ending the beam once you've made some distance between you both. Before Freeza recovers you gather your ki into your right hand, throwing forward a Scattershot. Your explosive shots scatter, blasting the ground all around the former emperor before he recovers and blast his body up into the air. “Kyaaaah!”

“RRRrrrrrrr! RRRRAAAAAA!!” you bellow, throwing your left hand forward and unleashing your blazing emerald power in a powerful wave. Your ki slams into the emperor, sending him flying up higher and higher into the air. But only for a second, as he then rolls off the blast. Freeza's golden aura then blazes wildly, the emperor's power surging before he then blitzes right for you again. Just as you end the beam he's closed the distance, right arm drawn back as he starts swinging. But you don't let him hit you, throwing your head back and unleashing your power in all directions. “HAAAAA!”

Your Explosive Wave stops his strike before it can hit you, knocking him backwards and tearing up the ground beneath you. Freeza flips backwards twice, landing on all fours and sliding to a stop as you gather your ki into both hands. He looks up, seeing your energy readied and attacks immediately. Firing his Eye Beams, Freeza's lasers strike your left hand's energy, destabilizing it. So, instead of holding the power you immediately toss it, launching the unstable energy at Freeza. Whose eyes widen in surprise, leaping back as the orb closes in. Then, before it can even reach where he was, the energy detonates in a massive blast. Drawing your right back, you ready to fire only to sense Freeza's ki starting to appear behind you. So with a grin you spin counterclockwise, swinging your ki held in your hand around. And right as he appears, his Instant Transmission teleporting him behind where you'd been as you slam your right hand's energy square into his chest.

“WHA-?!” he starts, your energy detonating in a massive blast.

Your blast sends Freeza tumbling across the ground, rolling over and over backwards until finally getting his feet under him and sliding to a stop. But as you lower your arm, everything goes dark once more.

“Again? Really?” you mutter, brought back into that dark place as it lights up with emerald flames. Before the Berserker Soul even appears you draw that other time's you, that Berserker Soul forth, the two materializing at the same time. And immediately launch themselves at each other. The two Berserker Souls slam into each other at full power, launching into a barrage of heavy blows. But as they fight, you see that the prime Berserker Soul is clearly the more powerful of the two, quickly overpowering it. Perhaps, as Mechikabura hinted at, using Divine Dragon Force on that one weakened the Berserker Soul of that timeline, reducing its power. But as you have the thought, your timeline's Berserker grabs the one you summoned by the face, repeatedly driving its left into that one's guts.

Immediately you blitz the Berserker Soul from its blind spot, driving your right fist into that one's back. Severing its spine, your fist punches out through its guts and spraying the other you with the Berserker Soul's glowing emerald blood.

“Gluh!” he exclaims, dropping the other Berserker Soul as his body goes limp, your Berserker Soul immediately going on the offensive as well. He grabs and drives his thumbs INTO the prime Berserker's eyes, causing it to scream a feral cry of agony. “KYAAAAAAH!”

“Your power is mine!” you snarl, driving your other fist into through him as well. The prime Berserker Soul starts falling into motes of light, both you and your other Berserker absorbing them until it disappears. Then the other timeline's Berserker Soul focuses on you, roaring and charging for YOU now. But you're ready, blasting off and charging towards him as well. Both of you roar, emerald auras blazing as the two of you swing, right fists slamming into each other. The shock waves knock both of you back from each other, you stopping yourself a foot short of flying out of the emerald flames surrounding this space. The other you stops as well, snarling in mad fury before blitzing at you again. But this time you have an idea, bracing your self for his charge.

But at the last second you flip back, dodging his blow. And unable to stop himself he flies straight into and through the flames, which all blaze brighter and brighter as his ki vanishes as well until everything goes white, you blinking back into the real world facing Freeza. Who looks stunned, jaw dropped as he looks at you. He actually takes a step back, leaving you wondering why his power is so much weaker than it'd been before you'd fought for control again?

Not permanently. But for the moment Karn has wrested control of their combined powers, something Freeza senses but doesn't understand wholly.
>>5729960
Ace would be a good choice, as he's had divine power longer than anyone she could ask for help. But Chaya's a great answer as well, as she's spent years learning on her own how to tap into that power whenever needed. It won't be 1:1 transferrable, what she's learned, but it'll be a great place for Meloka to start.

On another note, I'm curious. Why DID Xeno Goku and Vegeta go for that form when they know that Future Chaya achieved Apex without any god ki at all?
>>

Shortcuts.
>>
>>5730110
See, but Goku and Vegeta both hate shortcuts. The only times they take them (SSG and Majin) are due to having literally no other option (or a midlife crisis in Vegeta's case).

Is the Beserker's expanding sphere technically a variant of the Barrier technique? Is that something we could potentially learn how to do?
Where are we at in terms of mastery in Su Ma and Djem So respectively?
Is Juyo still on the table? Would it pair well with our "Ultra Violence"? (or whatever the unconscious actions of the higher Berserker forms are called)
What exactly is the nature of the combined attack we injured Beerus with?
When you said Karn might be able to wield it in the future, does that mean Divine transformations are technically still on the table despite our Anti-God spec?
How did Cold take Frieza's abdication?
Did Cooler have any misgivings about it, or did he just accept it as a natural reward for his victory in the duel?
Has Ginyu managed to find his physical limitations yet?
Has Chilli managed to create any specific countermeasures for use against Buu-like creatures?
Has Vegeta or any other Primal Saiyan made any progress towards attaining Apex?
Has Ace taken the time to come up with any original techniques after escaping Chronoa?
Has Future Chaya done any Stand based training or is it still all just sparring and conditioning?
Was Camali able to take on The People's Champ transformation at any point in the past?
You been keeping up with your exercise regimen?

Its more of an Explosive Wave-based Energy Body.
On a scale of ten? Su Ma’d be a three/four, Djem So’s a five/six.
Potentially. And no one knows.
You mean Meloka’s attack? It was divine. If you mean another attack you’ll have to specify which.
Need clarification.
Not surprised at this point. He’s been seeing Freeza’s increased displeasure over the last few years.
He’s a bit curious why his brother didn’t fight him more on it, but isn’t looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth.
Not even close.
Several.
No. That’s a Freeza Golden to Black-level training.
Original? No. Combination? Absolutely.
No. After all, her transferred Dragon Fist is essentially a lobotomized Dragon Force.

>No. After all, her transferred Dragon Fist is essentially a lobotomized Dragon Force.

Huh. Of all the current Primal Saiyans in our timeline. Who would be the closest then? Relatively speaking. I know that they'd still need years of dedicated training to actually unlock Apex.
>>
>>5730439
Oh, you meant THAT attack. That power is something else, something never before made by a Saiyan.
No, it wouldn’t help. When I said lobotomized, I meant lobotomized.
No, Karn would murder him.

Fair.

Now I'm curious. What would have happened, story-wise, if we chose to prioritize going Primal over pure Berserker years ago? In terms of the whole plot point with the Berserker Soul from another reality?

>It would have still tried to manifest, mainly through moments of intense and blinding rage.

Berserker + Primal? What would that even look like? Performing the ritual would just get you Berserker 3, unless they did it while Karn was a Primal Super Saiyan. At which point I have no idea.
>>
>>5730702
Why is that a surprise? She's a very competent woman, used to keeping her emotions in check to finish her tasks and not let her patients see her worry.
>>5730708
Not while in Primal. But if you didn't perform the ritual, perhaps another Berserker would... Or, and perhaps minor spoilers but, The Berserker Soul would have granted another a taste of that power, luring it to reach deeper until it could manifest itself in the world through them.
>>
>>5730729
>mfw

Oh God it would have gone for Broly wasn’t it? Or if not him, then probably one of our bio kids. They’d already have the genes for it, even if those would normally be dormant 99% of the time.

But how would it have been able to attach itself to another person like that? The only reason it can even access this reality at all is DDF which is attached to us.

Either way I’d def be interested in an alt timeline exploring these possibilities.
>>
>>5730760
You’re getting confused. The one from that other reality, connected to you through DDF would try and come through you. The Prime Berserker Soul of THIS timeline, the one who actually battled Yamoshi and doesn’t look like you is the one who would look for another candidate to channel power through. Which is why it granted you a small taste before, after Broly. Broly was fighting its influence, so it tried someone angrier.

I wonder if the original universe 6's berserker had the same rules oirs do
Aka if there's a second rouge beserker spirit roaming somewhere
>>
>>5730854
I have doubts that universe 6 ever tried the god ritual on an evil saiyan. To my knowledge, the kind of conflict that made universe 7's original homeworld go boom (before Frieza) never existed or was squashed before it became unmanageable
>>
>>5730831
Are you sure you wish to suffer the consequences? Sure, her Stand would again have a mind, but yours would not.
>>5730854
Somewhat. Don’t want to spoil too much of future events, or perhaps past events.
>>5730997
As far as we know, the ssg ritual was never developed in Universe 6. Or if it was, it was lost to generations of relative peacetime.
>>
>>5731148
>As far as we know, the ssg ritual was never developed in Universe 6. Or if it was, it was lost to generations of relative peacetime.
Eh, I like to headcanon that Universe 6 is basically 'what if the Good Saiyans triumphed and actually defeated the Evil Saiyans'. Unlike Universe 7 where the opposite happened.
>>
>>5730831
I don't think she really needs Divine Dragon Force as badly as us, since she's so fuckoff strong that she could beat Omega Shenron like a drum and solo Jiren these days.
>>5731148
>As far as we know, the ssg ritual was never developed in Universe 6. Or if it was, it was lost to generations of relative peacetime.
That tracks, I guess. Unlike our savage and lovable saiyans, they never really faced the kind of adversity that fostered the bloodlust. Now that I think about it, even with their bullshit glowstick cheatcode and shocking strength relative to canon, it sounds like it was much harder for them to ever find something like Super Saiyan without direct exposure. For U7 saiyans, they atleast sought out conflict. U6 saiyans actively prevent or avoid it.
>>
>>5730652
too bad we never really learned rope-a-dope from him. we had like 1 lessons.
>>
>>5731158
It might also be a cultural taboo too seek out that much power explicitly because last time they did in U6 their planet got blown up? It could simply just be the main differences between the 2 universes as a species is how they responded to the big fuckoff evil vs good saiyan war post war.
>>
>>5731263
Naw. In Universe 6 the home planet of the Saiyans was never actually destroyed. I guess that implies the Saiyan Civil War never happened in Universe 6, or was resolved in such a way that the planet wasn't fucking destroyed in the process.
>>
>>5731157
Or if their Yamoshi equivalent was a talk-no-juitsu master.
>>5731158
Its a good weapon to break out against Stand users who don’t think she has one, as other Time Patrollers also seeing the giant golden dragon wouldn’t make them immediately think “Stand”.
Yes, they weren’t warriors but peacekeepers. The difference between the two is as different as the Pride Troopers and someone like Jiren.
And everyone shits on how bad Frost was, but think about it. Man controlled the universe by working both sides, keeping both relatively weak enough for him to be the ‘savior’, showing up to save the day so the others didn’t get too strong by overcoming adversity. Remember, Cabba was the strongest Saiyan active in fighting for Universe 6 and it wasn’t close. So much so when it was time for the ToP Cabba wasn’t looking for STRONGER Saiyans, but the experience of his master instead.
>>5731165
Yes, it isn’t Karn’s style. Which, to be fair, is a really difficult style when you’re damn near thrice as wide as your average opponent. You have a lot of strikable surface area.
>>5731263
No, they didn’t lost their home in Universe 6. Planet Sadala is the ORIGINAL homeworld of the Saiyan race in both twin universes. Universe 6 saved their homeworld, while Universe 7 lost theirs to war. Like how U7 has Earth, while its a dead, lifeless world in U6.
>>5731279
Yes, their civil war wasn’t planet-ruining. May possibly be because they had lost their tails to evolution in U6 by that point?
>>
Also, if you dig deep into Xenoverse lore, it was the Time Patrol who ensured the war happened and Planet Sadala was destroyed in Universe 7. Look up Jierra
>>
>>5731292

>but at the same time, this revelation pisses off both Berserker Souls as well
>for the first time, all three of them agree on a target.

Temporary mastery of Berserker 3 for the sole purpose of murdering Jierra in the most painful way possible.

A bold and cunning move, I'll admit. He'd be defanging any future dissidents while amassing favor for himself, and with political favor comes loyal subjects. Whoever comes after Lord Cooler's reign could take notes on that kind of manipulation.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 201 Intermission-

AGE 756, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE

“Ma-maw! Pop pop!” your daughter shouts, running over to Megumin's parents. She doesn't leap at them, knowing well that her physical power would seriously hurt them again and instead rushes over to them, waiting on them to hug her. Which they do, your father-in-law picking her up as your mother-in-law rushes over to your wife, excitedly looking over your son and “ooooh”ing and “aaaaah”ing all over him. Who, when she gets too close to him, just like with your daughter, takes a swing. But this time you were ready, throwing your hand between them and catching your son's tiny fist.

“Easy, he's a fighter.” you say with a chuckle, your mother-in-law's eyes widening in shock as she realizes what almost happened. “Meloka Wolbach lost her first tooth to that fist already.”
“Wait, what?!” she exclaims, turning to her granddaughter. Who gives her a big grin, holding up her tooth as if it were a prize.
“Look! Little bro knocked my tooth out! With one punch!” she says excitedly, you seeing the shock on mother-in-law's face. “He's gonna be super duper strong!”
“Ah, so that's where that went.” your father-in-law replies, patting her on the head with his free hand. “I thought you just decided you didn't want teeth anymore.”

To which she giggles, turning and giving him a lesser toothy grin and a “hee hee”. To which you can't help but chuckle, enjoying the moment. But then you feel your wife's exhaustion as she sighs out, you turning to her worriedly. She turns, giving you a weak smile.

“I'm fine Chi.” she says, sounding tired. But you know better, going to her and literally sweeping her off her feet. She lets out a small 'eep' as you do, your wife holding tightly onto your son.
“Come on hun, you're clearly exhausted.” you say to her, then turn to her parents. “I think its time for us to go home and get some sleep. If anything happens let me know.”
“Of course, you all go rest now.” Yuiyui says, your mother-in-law waving you off with a smile. “We'll talk more tomorrow, go rest now.”
“Thanks mom.” Megumin says, taking another yawn as you hold her.

“Byeee!” your daughter says, flying over and sitting on your shoulder as you turn to their front door and head outside. The sky has gone dark here, while its still early afternoon back on New Salda as you take off into the sky, flying up to your house. Expanding your ki sense, you immediately sense something up by your home. And before you can say anything, your daughter kicks off your shoulder, flying towards home. Your sense of urgency explodes, focusing entirely on your ki sense and identify the ki signatures on the mountain. Which does calm you slightly, but also worries you for a different reason. Wondering what he could want now.

“Hey! Hi there!” your daughter calls to Ainz and the Guardian Albedo, waving excitedly before turning to you. “Daddy, look! It's Mister Ainz and Miss Albedo!”
“What're they doing here?” your wife murmurs, you shrugging as you fly down to the entrance to your home. As he answers your daughter, who rushes up to them without a care while showing off her tooth, you land a few yards away from the skeletal Overlord and his most trusted Guardian. By placing a hand on the portcullis you activate the magic within, raising it with a thought. “Want me to back you up?”

“No, go rest hun.” you tell her, giving her a smile you hope shows confidence. “I'll handle whatever they want, you go get yourself some sleep.” you tell her, giving her a quick kiss. “Want me to teleport you up to the bedroom?”
“I can still walk for myself, I'm not infirm.” she pouts only half seriously, then adds in a whisper. “Need me to grab your weapons?”
“Hopefully not.” you reply, your wife turning and going inside as you close the gate behind her. Then you turn, facing the Overlord of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. “Hope you weren't waiting around long?”

“No no, I could tell that you all had serious business to attend to. What's the new boy's name?” Ainz asks cheerfully, causing you to wonder once more how he talks without any vocal chords. “My apologies, but I did not bring my gift with me for the birth of your child. I had been under the assumption they wouldn't be born for another two weeks.”
“It's alright, it was a surprise for us too. But not an unpleasant one.” you answer casually, wanting to get to whatever business he's here for. “But why are you here? Did something happen?”
“You could say that.” Ainz says, the demon woman Albedo answering your daughter as she shows the demon her tooth, talking excitedly about how her brother did it. “So, since you weren't here I can surmise that you didn't feel what happened around half an hour ago. We have a problem.”

“What kind of problem?” you ask him, his statement getting you even more worried. “What happened, was it another Dragon Lord?”
“No, this is a problem far more worrying than a simple dragon.” he answers. “Remember how you defeated the 'Demon King'? Well, it would seem that another one was born while you were gone. On the continent to the east, a massive surge of demonic power surged. It would seem the gods have seen fit to put another Demon Lord on this planet.”
“Hrmmm.” you grumble, focusing on your ki sense. And, sure enough, you can sense a large new, dark-feeling power to the east across the sea. One that feels similar to the power of your half-siblings, your brows furrowing. “Dammit. It's strong too, and not alone either. Its power seems connected to several others, almost as if they are all a part of one being. This could be interesting.”

“That would track. I have been hearing rumor that, across the sea, this new Demon Lord is creating an army of monsters.” Ainz replies, stroking his chin in thought. As he does your daughter, now bored with the demoness, turns back and runs over to you and jumping up into your arms. “This 'Rimuru', as I've heard named, seems to be conquering kingdom after kingdom, through military force and through diplomacy both. With the goal of conquering the entire continent, turning it into a monster-exclusive domain for him to rule over.”

“You've heard? Through rumors?” you ask, Ainz somehow, despite being only bone, gives you a wry look. “Ah, I see. Demiurge?”
“Yes, along with Solution, Sebas, and Shalltear. He is taking the lead, Sebas, Shalltear, and Solution going undercover as a foreign noble and her butlers.” Ainz confirms, yet his tone isn't confident. “They've yet to travel inland enough to make contact with this “Great Jura Alliance” or the “Demon Lord Rimuru” themselves yet, however Demiurge has uncovered some interesting information already.”

“Oh?” you ask, knowing it has to be good for the Overlord Ainz to get that glowing look in his eye “Did you find a weakness?”
“Mayhaps. Demiurge has discovered that this rising Demon Lord is actually a slime.” he says, grinning like he's already won the fight. But he sees your blank expression, his own smile fading a bit. “Ah, I forgot. Despite your power and knowledge, you are still young. Slimes aren't common here in this environment, your not encountering them is not that surprising. While more commonly known as a common, low-level threats in most settings, they are dangerous foes to most people. Slimes can dissolve anything that enters their malleable, gelatinous body, devouring it and absorbing it to the cell. Some can even gain the abilities of those they eat, gaining their powers and special skills.”

“Wait, they devour things by just absorbing them?” you ask, shocked as the skeleton nods solemnly and remembering what Towa'd shown you of Majin Buu after nearly being absorbed by that Time Patroller yourself. “That's horrifying. Is there any way to counter it?”
“Poison resistances are always a start, along with some manner of Frost Armor as the slime race have a damage vulnerability to Cold.” Ainz replies instantly. “However, that is for normal slimes. I haven't heard of a Demon Lord falling to a slime before, but for it to take one it must not only be powerful but extremely intelligent. A Demon Lord is, usually, a being on an ascended plane of magical or physical power.”

“Hmm. I think I'll go make introductions to this 'Demon Lord Rimuru' in person.” you say, then your daughter yawns, your own stomach grumbling a bit. “But not today. We can discuss this tomorrow, for now my family needs me.”
“Of course.” the Overlord of Nazarick replies, nodding shallowly. “You have a newborn to care for, on top of your wife and daughter. Take your time. Once my people have made contact, I'll be sure to inform you.”

-Meanwhile, in Mechikabura's Realm-

“I must say, advising Karn to access his other self's power was a brilliant move.” Mechikabura says, addressing the purple part-demon sitting in the chair before more than two dozen screens, each showing a different warrior. In one it shows Karn tapping into that power beyond against Freeza, another showing Karn's son Chilli speaking with a robed skeleton while the others show beings from different timelines. But the one Mechikabura is focused on is Karn, staring intently. “But how did you come to think of this, Fu? Had you seen it before?”

“It was just a hunch. I thought that, should he be able to use either power, why not both?” the young-seeming demon replies, glasses shining in the screens' reflection. “If he can control the power of BOTH Berserker Souls at once, he'll be even stronger than he was in the previous reality. After all, he only had the one then. But now, with two, who knows how powerful he'll get?”
“Hrmmmm....” Mechikabura says non-commitally. But as he watches Karn start laying into Golden Freeza, his power far greater than ever, greater than even when he battled the powers of Instinct and Ego with your help in the Demon Seal, the old Demon God seems troubled. And a single thought keeps running through his mind: why does this seem so.... Familiar? As if, despite having no memories of this, he'd done this all before?

That’s what I couldn’t figure out. If Raphael still works during a full Time Stop, not just a time extreme slowdown like we found out happens with Za Warudo, then the Thought Acceleration of one million times would allow it to figure out a way to break free.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After the battle with Beerus the Destroyer, his assistant Whis calling the fight and taking the Destroyer away, Karn agreed to take Freeza in on the condition the former emperor never abandon his training again. Karn then spoke with Broly, learning of his and Kori's intentions before heading off to bed. Where, in his sleep the Berserker Soul tries wresting control from him once more. Only for Mechikabura to appear, advising Karn on what to do before disappearing, letting Karn summon that other Berserker Soul resembling himself from the void. After battling for control Karn then takes Freeza for 'training', the two sparring at full power. But as we rejoin Karn, having temporarily bested both Berserker Souls, Freeza seems rather shocked.

“What is this? Your power, it just...” he says, looking at you with a hint of worry in his eyes. “What did you do?”
“I just got control of all of my power, at least for the moment.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance. He immediately does the same, mirroring you instead of taking his more open guarded one. And, not knowing how long this power will last you decide to use it, kicking off the ground straight towards him. “HAAAAAA!!”

Before he can react you've already closed the distance, landing a short right uppercut to his guts. Freeza bends over double from the force of the blow, you following it up with that same arm's elbow to his chin. Knocking him in a full backflip, causing Freeza to narrowly catch himself land on all fours. Immediately he springs straight up off the ground, teeth gritted yet eyes wide as he looks at you. Clearly he's surprised by your speed, wanting to make some distance to better judge your attacks. So, you give him a couple seconds then blitz up after him, closing the distance within a fraction of a blink.

“Wh-?!” is all he gets out before your heavy left rocks him, spinning the former emperor in a full circle just in time to catch a right jab to the nose, knocking his head back. Which you follow up with a side kick to the guts, sending your friend crashing backwards through a dozen or so trees before coming to a stop, embedded in one. However, before you can do anything else, your entire body spasms once. Your power plummets, agony coursing throughout your very soul. Pain, pure and unfiltered fills your entire being, drowning out all other thoughts and sensations.

“GUUYAAAAAAAH!!!” you cry out in agony, pain worse than anything consuming you. Pain worse than any injury you've sustained, worse than anything your half-demon daughter Milha's Agony Magic could do even. It feels as if your very soul is being shredded. The pain consumes everything, your senses overwhelmed by the agony until everything goes black. Once more you're back in that dark void, again staring down the Berserker Soul. However, you then realize you can't move! Looking down, you find yourself bound in the familiar flames that light up around the darkness, as if pinned to a wall. “D-Dammit!”

You try and move, to break free, but its useless. Your entire body is beyond exhausted, arms and legs feeling as if you've done every single workout in your life all at once, on top of being burned alive and electrocuted all simultaneously. With your body in this condition in this space, you realize something terrifying: you're trapped.

“AAAH haa haahaa haa haaa! You can't control me, little man!” the Berserker Soul says, pointing a single giant finger menacingly towards you. “Now, I'll be taking this body to find that bastard Yamoshi and destroy him, once and for all!”
“Like! Hell! You! WILL!” you snarl, his threat towards your wife fueling your rage and turning it white hot. But you're still drained, your rage unable to overpower the damage taken from taking on that combined power.

But what do you do? What CAN you do?
>Try and summon that alternate reality Berserker Soul, not into this space but inside yourself, tap into its strength to break free of your bondage
>This place isn't real, which means your body's condition doesn't matter. WILL yourself out of the flames, back in control of your own body once more
>Try drawing the power of the emerald fires of Berserker power into yourself, using that power to support your body against this Berserker Soul
>Your body isn't going anywhere without your permission, try severing the link to the Berserker power and drop your body back down to its base form. You might be out for a while, but that's better than letting this monster rampage
>Don't do anything yet, Freeza can handle him while you recover enough to hopefully do something to better your own situation

As you hang there, suspended, suddenly a thought comes to mind. Why is this thing trapping you? This is YOUR head, as far as you can tell. Why can it trap you, and not the other way around? Yet Mechikabura couldn't keep this soul restrained even with all his power. So, how is it holding you here?

“Hold on. This..... Heh.” you say, realization dawning. It's only able to hold you here because you're LETTING it. So, closing your eyes, you envision yourself no longer bound by the flames. And as you open your eyes, you're floating outside the fires. “You can't beat me.”
“Wh-What?!” the Berserker Soul exclaims, taking a half-step back. Shock is clear on its face, you feeling a grin come to your own. Again you focus your mind, the flames leaping up and binding the original Berserker Soul as it had bound you. “Impossible!”
“This is over.” you say, focusing on the raging emerald fires. And you draw them all in, sealing the emerald power away deep inside yourself and returning this space to the dark void it usually is. However, you then feel that you're not alone. Turning, you see Mechikabura standing there once more, along with Fu.

“I must apologize to you, Karn. It would seem that this level of power was far beyond what your body could handle.” Mechikabura says, then turns to Fu. “A certain someone thought that it wouldn't have any negative repercussions.”
“How was I to know combining two Berserker Souls within one body would cause that?” Fu replies, sounding exasperated. As if he's said this several times already. “I had hypothesized that merging the two together within one body would merge the souls as well.”
“Wait, merging the Berserker Souls?” you ask, eyes widening. “What would happen then?”

“Well, no one knows for sure!” Fu says excitedly, grinning. “But, I do believe that, should the two merge, it will result in a stronger Berserker God.”
“Berserker God?” you ask, Mechikabura speaking up then.
“That was the name you, or rather that other you, had named the form.” he says. “Said it was to 'spite the gods' and show them how a 'real' deity should act.”
“Huh.” you say, thinking it over. You hadn't decided on a name for the form yet but think that you might go with that one. “So, what now?”

“Now? Now, you must train.” Mechikabura tells you. “Your power is the key, Karn. Without your anti-god power, our attack on Conton City will surely fail. And Chronoa will continue her tyrannical reign over time, choosing which timelines are allowed to exist and which must be snuffed out.”
“You know me, I'm not going to stop getting stronger any time soon.” you say, clenching your fist. But, looking down at your hand, you speak to both of them. “But what about this other power I felt? When I used both of the Berserkers' powers, I felt stronger than ever, at least for a few seconds. How do I master that power?”

“Now that part's simple.” Fu says cheerily. “You're too weak. You managed to hold that level of power for a couple seconds, but it totally wrecked your body. As you are now, you can't handle that much power without overtaxing yourself, burning out your energy and leaving you defenseless. So, you've got to get a whole lot stronger before you can manage it for any meaningful amount of time.”
“I see.” you reply, the darkness then cracking around you three. “Well, time to get to work.”
“Good luck, Karn. We're all counting on you.” Mechikabura says, light filling the void as you open your eyes. Only to see not only Freeza, but Caulifla and Broly both looking worriedly down at you.

“M-Morning.” you say, stuttering as a wave of pain in your head hits for a second before fading away completely. “What's going on?”
“When you tapped into your power, you went down hard.” Freeza says, offering you a hand. Which you take, Broly offering his left to yours which you take as well, the two hauling you up to your feet. You were still transformed, but not moving, power plummeting. So, I flew back and got your daughter to heal you.”
“But nothing I did helped, your strength just kept dropping until you powered back down.” she replies. And then you didn't wake up.”
“You've been out for over an hour.” Freeza tells you seriously, brows furrowed. “What happened?”

“I tried to use more power than I was ready for.” you tell him casually, raising your arms and stretching. Your muscles feel stiff, gritting your teeth as you keep stretching everything out. It takes you a minute to work everything out, but once you've stretched that stiffness mostly out continue. “Thanks Cauli, Broly. Appreciate it you two.”
“Of course.” Cauli says, then her head whips around towards the Rak'kari's underwater city. “Hey, I gotta go.”
“Of course.' you tell her as your daughter raises her right to her forehead, teleporting to their people. No doubt to aid them as well with her healing powers, your daughter taking everyone's health as her own burden.

“Lo-Freeza. You ready?” you ask him, catching yourself from using the title while turning back to face the former emperor.
“Ready? For what?” he asks, raising a brow. Clearly not on the same wavelength of thought. “You just got up, perhaps you-”
“No, it's time. We're heading back into the gravity chamber.” you tell him, then turn to your son. “What about you Broly, you want to join in?”

“Sure.” he replies, you leading the trio back to your ship. As you fly, you sense Meloka with the younger children all at Raven's Island, while surprisingly Chaya's there with her mother too. But, after a moment's thought it isn't that surprising, your daughter having had access to divine power along with the Guardian means that they would be the best to help her learn to access that divine power on her own. Which you just know she'll master, your wife's never been one to falter. And that red looked good on her too.

But your thoughts are interrupted as your home quickly comes into view, the three of you dropping out of the air down before the ramp, ascending back into your home. You lead your son and friend into the chamber, cranking it up as high as it goes immediately. Your older-model chamber maxes out at 100x New Salda's gravity, but that should be enough to get you started. You crank it on, the lights turning red as gravity begins increasing. Slowly at first, then rapidly ascending to full power.

“So, Dad, how high are you-Gyuah?!” Broly starts to ask then shouts when the full weight of one hundred times New Salda's gravity slams down onto you all, knocking the three of you flat on the ground. “Wh-What?!”
“Dammit, how high did you set this?” Freeza asks through clenched teeth, placing his palms flat on the ground. You don't bother speaking, focused instead entirely on getting back up to your feet. Positioning your hands beside your head, you then fight to raise your elbows vertically, then start pushing your entire torso upright. The strain is unbelievable, your muscles feeling like they're tearing, bones getting crushed under the weight. But you keep pushing, raising yourself up enough to get a knee up under you, and then the other foot. Slowly but surely you keep fighting, your entire body feeling as if it would be crushed or torn to shreds as you fight your way up to your feet. You did it! “Tch! I-I won't let you show me up, even with this much pressure! I WILL be the strongest once more!”

Despite taking longer than you, both Broly and Freeza manage to overcome the 100x gravity, the two of them both pushing themselves up to their feet over the next few minutes as you start trying to walk around, to try and get your body to adjust to this level of pressure. Every movement is agony, yet you keep going, not stopping once you've started until the other two are standing as well.

“Well done, that's step one.” you tell them, turning and walking over to the heavily-reinforced horizontal bars. “Now, let's get started with a hundred.”
“A hundred?” your son asks, sounding almost terrified.
“Come on, we're not going to get stronger with half-efforts.” you tell him, crouching as you ready yourself to jump. You aren't sure you can even make the short jump in this gravity, but you're still going to try. “HAAAAAAA!”

Putting everything into the leap you easily clear the ground, jumping a slight bit higher than you'd estimated you would. Instead of just reaching the bar, your head passes it, reaching out on your way back down and slamming your palms into it. Immediately your fingers feel as if the bar is going to sever them, your hands feeling as if they'll rip in two. But you manage to keep your grip on the bar, gritting your teeth against the pain. Sure your body feels like it's in hell, but you've taken far worse. Especially with Milha's latest spell she'd devised a few months back, condensing hours or even days of pain into short bursts that easily overwhelm even your pain tolerance. But all that training with your half-demon daughter pays off today, as you're able to fight through the pain and start doing pull-ups on the bar.

“ONE!” you exclaim, getting your chin above the bar then start lowering yourself back down to a hang. The moment your arms reach full extension you start pulling back, knowing that stopping would probably spell the end and you wouldn't be able to do another.
“I won't let you surpass me!” Freeza snarls, crouching then leaping with a shout. “SHYAAAA!”

The former emperor manages to catch the bar as well, but nearly loses his grip. Fortunately he manages to catch it with his tail, keeping him from falling and slamming to the ground. Broly is the last to attempt it, leaping just enough for his hands to hit the bar and grab on. Your oldest son and longtime friend follow your example, puddles gathering beneath the three of you as you fight through the pain, pushing your muscles harder and further than ever before.

Each exercise follows the same basic pattern, you leading the way as Broly and Freeza struggle to keep up. Neither can fully keep pace, Broly only getting between 50 to 60% of the reps you do, while Freeza manages to nearly match you on every one, only losing three or four on each. But after what feels like an entire day you are completely exhausted, dropping to the ground with no strength left. Broly and Freeza do the same, the emperor using his telekinesis to hit the kill switch on the gravity and turning it off. You all lay there on the ground in puddles of your own sweat, struggling to even breathe after the hardest exercise of your life.

“Well done you two. Especially you Broly, you surprised me.” you say, forcing yourself to sit upright as you sense your family all returning to the ship. Realizing that it must be around lunchtime, your stomach growls at you angrily, making you remember that you hadn't eaten breakfast this morning either. Then, once you're standing you turn, offering a hand to each of them. “Come on, let's go shower off then get something to eat.”
“A meal does sound like a rather grand idea.” Freeza says, taking your hand. Broly does as well but remains quiet, looking at his own hand after you let go and turn to the door. “I don't think I've ever worked that hard in my life before.”
“Hope you get used to it. Because after we eat and I go train the students, we'll be back to continue training.” you tell him, Freeza's jaw dropping in shock as you turn to your son. “You're welcome to join us as well whenever you want, son.”

“I might, have something to do.” he says rather absently, the three of you heading over to the showers and cleaning yourselves off before joining everyone gathered in the mess hall.
“Wow Broly, Dad, Freeza, you all look like you've been through hell.” Chaya says, looking up from her food at you. “Was training really that hard?”
“A hundred times this planet's gravity is no joke.” Freeza answers her, shocking everyone. Your eldest daughter's jaw drops, eyes widening as everyone starts shouting. But you don't have the control to keep answering any more questions, sitting down and digging into your food with a ravenous hunger. For several minutes you don't say a word, focused entirely on replacing energy your body'd lost before finishing your meal with a sigh.

“While Meloka and I start teaching our students, you're welcome to join us, rest, or do whatever.” you tell the former emperor, standing back up. “But once my wife and I are done, we're getting back to training. Mel, we're gonna need the gravity chamber again, if you don't mind.”
“Sure, go ahead.” she replies, nodding once. “But what are you two planning to do now? You don't look like you can take much more of whatever you did earlier.”
“Don't worry, that's the hardest training of the day.” you tell her, sensing Freeza's immediate relief. “Instead, we'll be sparring.”

“Inside the gravity chamber?” Tatsu and Tomi ask you simultaneously.
“Of course. We'll be at 100x gravity in there, so don't teleport in.” you tell everyone within earshot. “It's tough in there, I don't want anyone getting hurt.”
“One hundred times gravity? That's...” Okira says, counting something on her fingers. “If our gravity's ten times normal, that means... That's a thousand times the average planet's gravity!”
“A thousand?” Maz asks, shocked. “That's a lot.”

“Yes, that is quite a lot.” Freeza says to the children with a smile. “Your father and I both are aiming to be the strongest. And to be the strongest, you must overcome the most difficult of circumstances.”
“Well I'm gonna grow up stronger than either of you!” your youngest, Karn Jr declares. Standing proud, chest out as he points at you both. “I'm gonna work hard and be the best!”
“I know you will.” you tell him, stepping forward and ruffling his golden hair. “And that goes for the rest of you too. We all have to keep working hard, harder than ever to keep getting stronger.”

“YEAH!” your children shout in unity, everyone leaving the mess hall to go to their next training. You and Meloka head off to your waiting students, Freeza telling you he'll stay behind as he has something to handle. As you and your wife arrive, you see your students all waiting eagerly, the oldest students having organized everyone else into groups. You waste no time, getting everyone to work. You and your wife focus on teaching them, the two of you going from group to group, each of you giving advice and help as needed. The hours set aside for their training flies by, you telling them all how proud of their progress you are before sending them on their way. But, as they all start to disperse, Meloka turns to you.

Without a word she flies up to you, hugging you around the neck and kissing you deep for several seconds before pulling back, cheeks a bit blushed.

“Keep up the good work hun. After supper tonight, I want to show you something.” she says playfully, giving you a wink before letting go of you, teleporting to the youngest four back on Raven's Island. You meanwhile take to the air, flying back to your home where Freeza had been the entire time. Reaching your home you touch down, seeing Freeza laying buried almost entirely in the sand.
“What are you doing?” you ask, confused. To which he doesn't say anything at first, making you think he's fallen asleep out here.

“Karn? Back already?” he asks, slowly lifting up and out of the sand. The grains tumble off him like water, the former emperor emerging wholly and landing on his feet. Then, with a subtle surge of power blasts the remaining sand off his body, dusting his shoulder idly. “Laying submerged in the hot sand does wonders for stiff and sore muscles.”
“Oh, okay.” you reply, reaching up and cracking your knuckles while leaning to the side, popping your neck as well. “Ready to get back to it?”
“Of course, lead the way.” Freeza replies, the two of you heading back into the gravity chamber once more. Except this time, as you walk over to the controls, Freeza braces himself much better. Now that he knows how strong it can be, he's getting himself ready.

You again crank the chamber up to 100x New Salda's gravity, it again slamming down on the both of you. The two of you fight against the heavy pressure, the sheer weight nearly buckling your knees, but both you and he remain upright. After a few seconds of adjusting, Freeza turns to you, smirking a bit too smugly for your liking.

“So, are you ready to begin?” he asks, teeth bared.
“Whenever you are.” you reply, fighting against the gravity to take your usual fighting stance. Then, after a moment's waiting, gravity pressing down on your upraised arms you launch yourself forward into a heavy right. Freeza crosses his arms, blocking the powerful blow. “Show me what you've got!”

Over the next hour or so, you and Freeza spar in the heavy gravity. Each punch and kick is significantly harder to throw, Freeza's attacks like meteors smashing into you. But you keep working on your Djem So style, deflecting his attacks the best you can and countering with heavy strikes of your own. Some attacks are far easier to stop, the gravity aiding you as you knock his blows aside. But any overhead attack forces you to planet your feet and absorb it, taking those fast attacks head-on. Neither of you can use any fancy tricks or the Su Ma's evasive style in such an oppressive atmosphere, but very quickly the former emperor starts picking up how your Djem So works. Even copying some of your own counters, using them against you and getting in several devastating counters.

Each minute feels like an hour, but once the timer set for just over an hour expires, the heavy gravity starts fading away. By that point both you and Freeza were down on the ground, each struggling to catch your breath as the pressure on your chest starts disappearing.

“That was something else. I hadn't thought much of the Djem So form, when father told me of it.” Freeza says through heaving breaths, the two of you completely exhausted. “But it suits you rather well.”
“Thanks.” I learned it when the Su Ma didn't really work anymore.” you tell him, and now that the gravity's returned to New Salda's normal push yourself upright, walking over to where Freeza fell and offer him a hand. “I'm a bit too big for it when I transform.”
“I'd say you most certainly are.” the emperor replies, accepting your hand and allowing you to help him upright. “This more power-based technique is far more suited to someone of your power and stature. Now, let us wash the day off of ourselves.”

“Agreed.” you say, the two of you leaving the gravity chamber behind and washing up once more. Washing all the sweat and blood off of yourselves, as each of you bloodied the other in that spar. But once you've washed up, realize you still have some time before Silver would have another meal ready.

“Looks like we have a bit more time to kill until its time to eat, so I'm going to head over to Raven's for a bit.” you say, tossing the towel you'd dried yourself off with before putting on another training suit. “Want to come along?”
“Thanks but no thanks, I do need to reach out to Arctus about that one project...” Freeza says, voice trailing off as he's momentarily lost in thought. He then shakes his head, walking out of the shower room towards the hallway door but stops, turning back to you with a serious expression on his face. “With this new power of yours. Do you believe, should he return, that you would be able to face that monster Darkseid?”

“Honestly? I'm not sure.” you reply to him honestly, meeting his gaze for several seconds before turning back to pulling your boots on. “That...Thing is on a different level.”
“I see. Well, good luck with whatever you're going to do.” he replies, turning back to the doorway and leaving the shower behind. You finish dressing, then without bothering to walk raise your right hand to your forehead while telepathically reaching out to New Salda's current Guardian, Raven.
“Hey, do you have a few minutes?” you ask her telepathically. “I was wanting to ask your help for something.”
“Of course, come on over.” she replies, you not even bothering to end the link and teleport to her side with Instant Transmission. She doesn't even start, the woman meditating with her eyes closed and hovering a few inches above the former Guardian's favorite rock. She doesn't even open her eyes, addressing you aloud. “That was quick. Something urgent?”

“Maybe.” you reply, explaining what you'd learned about the Berserker Souls and how they seemingly work.
“I see. You want me to help you foster a link, to foster communication between your own soul and these others.” she replies, not opening her eyes. “Very well. Sit down here beside me, and we'll get started.”

You do so, taking the usual meditative pose in the sand with your legs crossed, back straight, and hands resting on your knees, palms-up as you close your eyes, taking a deep breath in, holding it, then sighing out and releasing that air for several seconds.

“Excellent. Now, let us begin.” she says, you sensing her stand up and go over to behind you, placing her first two fingertips of each hand on your temples. “Now, search deep within yourself, go to wherever you can feel that soul within you residing. Dive deep within yourself, down to your very core.”

And as she speaks everything fades away, all your senses fading away. And opening your eyes, you see that you're back in that empty void you're so familiar with. Except you're not alone.

“GRRRRAAAAAAAAA!!” comes the familiar roar of the Berserker Soul, emerald flames exploding out all over the darkness.
“What?” you hear Raven shout in surprise, looking over your shoulder you see in a translucent, dark form, partially here in this place with you as well.
“That's him. The first Berserker.” you say as he appears, emerald flames shaping themselves into his body.
“You can't hold me here! I WILL break free!” the prime Berserker snarls, emerald aura blazing up around himself as he stares you down, pointing a finger at you once again. “And when I do, Yamoshi will pay!”

“Who?” Raven asks, confused.
“The first Super Saiyan God, who got turned into a soul like his. I think. This guy wants his revenge against him.” you tell her, Raven softly “Ooooh”ing behind you. “So, what do we do?”
“You don't do anything yet. Leave this to me.” she says, floating through you to hover between yourself and the soul, calling out to it. “Wrathful spirit! By my power I command you! State your name!”
“I will! Not! KNEEL!” the Berserker Soul bellows, his aura and the emerald flames both blazing in defiance of Raven. Who doesn't back down, again speaking her request. Again the Berserker Soul refuses, but on her third iteration, he finally speaks.

“Miyashi.” he snarls through gritted teeth, then stops a moment as if shocked he himself said it. Then, without hesitation attempts to attack Raven. But you're too quick, leaping between them and catching his right fist in your left palm. “Stay out of my WAY!!”

The Berserker Soul, or Miyashi, follows up his heavy right with a left, which you block by swatting his fist to your right with your left hand while bringing your right forearm up, continuing to knock his fist aside. And before he fully realizes what's going on, snap your left fist into his nose with a backfist. Startling Miyashi so badly he staggers back, hand going to his face in surprise. But when he pulls his hand free, looking at it to see no blood, he gives you a bloodthirsty grin.

“Weak.” he replies, surging forward faster than you can react and slamming a heavy left elbow square into your nose. The heavy blow sends you flying backwards, flipping backwards once to reorient on the Berserker and stopping yourself inches from hitting the flames and wholly losing control. A moment later taste something wet on your lips, realizing that he must have shattered your nose with that strike. But you're not going to give in so easily.

“What's the plan?” you ask Raven telepathically, the Berserker Soul, Miyashi bellowing to she sky in rage.
“Pin him down.” she replies simply, then elaborates. “I need you both in the same spot for an extended time for this to work, but if it does, it should give you what you need.”
“Right!” you reply aloud, launching yourself at Miyashi. Who zeroes in on you immediately, blitzing forward towards you.

“HRRRAAAAA!” he roars, you twisting outside his heavy right with the Su Ma movements, delivering a heavy left to his jaw that staggers the larger Saiyan. Which you immediately follow up with a right uppercut to the liver, the Berserker's face contorting in pain.
“HAAAA!” you roar, twisting around into a spinning left back kick squarely to the chest. Knocking the larger Saiyan a couple steps back, left hand going to his chest. As he looks back up at you his eyes are a bit wide, surprised by your attack. But as he does you close in again, firing a barrage of heavy punches at his face and chest. Miyashi goes fully on the defensive, trying his best to withstand your rush when suddenly you duck, shifting your level then firing a powerful right uppercut into his crossed arms. Your fist slams into the 'X' of his arms, breaking through his guard and sending his arms straight up skyward. “HRRRAAAA!”

Twisting your body you spin, slamming your left elbow square into his nose and following it up with a right uppercut just below his sternum.

“Kuuuuh!” he wheezes, your heavy strike knocking the wind from his lungs. His arms reflexively go to his chest, covering where he was just hit when suddenly Raven is by both of you, holding you both by the back of your heads.
“Look into his eyes Karn!” Raven orders, you complying without thinking. “Now! Soulgaze!”

You see Miyashi's eyes widen in surprise, then you feel as if you're drawn down into his gaze. The dark void, engulfed in emerald flames vanishes, you finding yourself in a completely unfamiliar world. It looks almost like Planet Vegeta, the homes shaped the same in the distance. But then you smell the flames, looking down and seeing two children kneeling beside their parents. Both of them are very clearly dead, looking as if they were ripped to shreds by some sort of monster. The two children are crying, one's face shaped the same way as the Berserker Soul's own. Then the scene changes, the two children grown up and trying to stop a war among the other Saiyans. But then the scene changes again, a woman turning form the younger Miyashi and going with the other. His face distorts with rage, the young man turning his back on his brother and siding with other Saiyans whose aura radiate with a dark, somehow familiar power.

cont
>>
>>5734692
Again the scene changes, the two brothers flying at each other at the heads of two hosts of Saiyans, the brothers slamming into each other forearms first. Young man Miyashi's face is twisted in rage, seeming identical if a bit younger than he is now. The two clash over and over, the battlefields changing in the background as the two keep smashing into each other. But then it changes again, this time the brother showing up as a Super Saiyan God. Miyashi's brother, Yamoshi smashes through the to-be Berserker's forces, confronting his brother and beating him to the point of death. But then, right as Yamoshi is standing over his brother, poised to deliver a final blow, several other Super Saiyans rush in, one snatching the young man and fleeing while the others are butchered.

The scene then changes once again, Miyashi undergoing the god ritual to obtain the power of a Super Saiyan God as well. But something goes wrong, Super Saiyan Miyashi going Berserk instead of becoming a god. He slaughters those who'd been a part of the ritual, attacking indiscriminately until the scene changes a final time. Miyashi fighting his brother, the one you now known as Yamoshi one last time. Their fight destroys the entire planet, Yamoshi and Miyashi's fists slamming into each other one final time as everything goes white.

And then you're back in the void, you and Miyashi staring back at each other while the emerald flames burn once more. That was the Soulgaze, the same thing your son had done years ago. But unlike now, you already basically knew everything about your boy back then, back before that damned Clown had gotten a hold of him. The Berserker Soul, unlike your son however, seems completely terrified of you. It takes one uncertain step back, then another, arms trembling as his breathing gets ragged.

“Wh-Who are you? What are you?!” Miyashi asks, eyes wide with fear. But then, in a flash of understanding realize what happened. He must have seen your past as well, much as you saw his. And what you've been through terrifies him.
“Good. It worked.” Guardian Raven says, her voice appearing in your ear. “He now knows what you really are.”
“Alright, then what comes next?” you ask her, but before you can Miyashi roars. It isn't a roar of defiant challenge, a scream of rage or pain, but one of a cornered animal fearful for its life.
“Subdue him.” she replies, the emerald flames blazing as Miyashi's emerald aura surges. “Defeat him, conquer Miyashi one-on-one.”

While I have no doubt we could break him down like a chicken with Djem-So, I think no-selling his retaliatory strikes would serve to better break his spirit.

“Right. HRRRRAAAAAA!” you reply, blazing your own aura with a roar. You then cross your arms, drawing your aura in and condensing it into your Energy Body. Then, once your ki's hardened into your armor, you start slowly walking forward. “Let's end this.”

You can almost taste the Berserker Soul's fear, Miyashi taking another step back before gritting his teeth.

“HRYAAAAA!” Miyashi roars, launching himself at you in desperation. He swings his right square at your head, you stopping and focusing, hardening your Energy Body further into the Unmovable Energy Body. His fist crashes square against your energy over your nose, but you don't so much as budge. His eyes widen even further, drawing his right back and launching into a barrage of dozens upon dozens of heavy blows. Yet nothing so much as budges you, his greater strength not enough to overcome your armor. His swings become more and more erratic, losing any semblance of technique as he flails desperately. “Fall, fall fall! You must fall! I-I won't die again!”

You let him keep swinging, the man's breathing getting more and more ragged as his attacks continue doing nothing. He then stops, taking an uncertain step back and looking at you in horror. His jaw trembles as he takes another step back, you powering your Unmovable Energy Body into its normal state, and start walking towards him once more. He backs up until his right heel touches the emerald flames encircling you both, glancing back over that same shoulder. And that's when you attack, lunging at his chest with a heavy right of your own. But he sees you coming out of the corner of his eye, dashing left and narrowly avoiding your punch. Instead of striking him your fist slams into that green fire, you feeling it immediately bind itself to your Energy Body. Forcing you to drop the technique, leaping back as it falls to avoid that fire grabbing the rest of you as well.

“Heh, lucky you.” you say, turning back to Miyashi. Who, as your Energy Body went down lunges, right fist aimed for your head.
“Haaaa!” he shouts, swinging. Leaning back you narrowly avoid having him take your head off, his thumb's knuckle scraping across and cutting your left cheek. Then, as the rest of him tries to catch up to his fist, you swing your head forward, slamming into the soul's nose. Which also shatters with a crunch, stopping him in his tracks as his hands go to his face reflexively. Leaving his core wide open, which you take advantage of. Gathering your ki into a Piercing Fist, you slam that energy straight into his chest just below his ribs, your energy punching a hole straight through his skin and muscle, burying your arm up to the elbow inside him. “Guyah?!”

“Good, now don't finish him off.” Raven says, her spirit form appearing beside you both once more, facing him. “Miyashi, it's over. You've lost.”
“No.... No, I can't lose. I won't lose! I won't let you kill meee!!” he shouts, aura starting to blaze back up to life around him. Your Piercing Fist's energy starts getting absorbed into him somehow, you deactivating it and jerking your hand free. Which causes a spray of glowing green blood to splatter all over you and Raven, but Miyashi refuses to quit! Light begins glowing from the wound, and at the last second realize what's about to happen.

“BARRIER!” you roar, trying to activate your spherical shield around yourself and Raven. But you're only partially successful, the shield not wholly forming and solidifying before Miyashi's energy self-destructs. His body is vaporized in the blast, that surge of emerald energy slamming into you. However, unlike Raven's soul form you aren't blown away. Instead that energy surges directly into you, smashing into that internal wall you'd felt the first time you'd tried to ascend into the next level of Berserker with the other reality's Berserker Soul's power. That wall doesn't fall, but you feel it crack and splinter inside you. That energy pours through the cracks, down into the well of your own Super Saiyan power, infusing it. And then its over, you finding yourself back on the Guardian's Island as you open your eyes. But why is the sky dark? “Raven? Raven?!”

“I'm here.” comes her reply from somewhere behind you, you turning and seeing that she's sprawled out on the sand, a trench a few feet away from where you're sitting ending underneath her. “Seriously, how much power does that form even HAVE? It bled through the soul link and actually hit me out here in the real world. That's never happened before.”
“Are you alright?” you ask, going over to her, but she waves off your hands as you reach down.
“I'm fine. Just, wasn't expecting that.” she replies, meeting your gaze with a small smile. But you can tell from experience she's trying to hide the pain she's in. As if sensing your thoughts she frowns, raising a brow and confirming it. “I told you, I'm fine. Just a headache from the backlash, I'll be fine after I rest awhile. But you should go look in the water over there.”

You follow her pointing finger to the nearest shore, walking over and staring down. Only to see that you're transformed into the so-called Berserker God form once more.

“I did it?” you wonder to yourself, looking down at your hands and wondering why you don't really FEEL all that different from usual. Your power isn't raging out-of-control, it isn't surging at an unreasonable pace, and you don't even feel all that angrier than usual. But you don't feel as strong as you did when you fought Freeza this morning before tapping into both souls, or even when you fought against Beerus yesterday. “But why? Why aren't I-?”
“At full power? Because you didn't subdue him, not entirely.” Raven answers, the woman sitting back on the rock in her meditative pose, eyes meeting your own. “You haven't made the strength of this 'Berserker God' your own yet. This was just a single step on that journey.”

“Just one step, huh?” you say, looking down at your clenched fist. But then, oddly enough, a smile comes to your face. And after a moment's thought you understand why.

-Berserker God(Incomplete) Unlocked-

If this had been it, if that's all you had to do to master this power, it wouldn't sit right with you. For every bit of power you've had to fight and claw your way to the top, building your power into a metaphorical mountain to overcome. If increasing your might so dramatically had come easy, it wouldn't feel as earned to you. And sure, you'd still use it, especially on those Time Patrol bastards when they come around making trouble. As they inevitably will. But you find yourself looking forward to continuing to master this power, to continue growing stronger and stronger until no one can threaten your family ever again. And to the day you can join the attack on the Time Patrol, to bring unto them all the pain and suffering they've brought to your family time and time again.

And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoy today's run? Ready to see how this episode wraps up, and what other surprises lie in store? Enjoy the reveal of Yamoshi and Miyashi's backstory, and ready to see how crazy this power gets? All this and more in just over twelve hours at Noon EST when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues!
>>
>>5734846
The reveal was nice, but now I kinda want some epilogues to flesh out their history a little more.
>>
>>5734849
Maybe someday. But the next couple are already set, we still haven’t gotten to see Boros’ reaction to the Battle of Gods yet
>>
>>5734842
As it stands with that percentile roll, are we past halfway to achieving Berserker God already? Because if that's the case.. damn.

Also, if we'd had a crit there- would that have just unlocked the finished form right then?
>>
>>5734856
No, nothing like that. The percentile roll was for how much of the possible percent of Berserker God you will unlock with her help. A crit would have increased that number by a bit, but not even to a full 25%. These trainings haven't been only for a single day, as we're getting a bit of a jump forward shortly. Which is why the powerlevel increase dice were so large without a serious zenkai.
>>
>>5734861
Are we going to get to see how the current usage of Berserker God compares to Berserker 2 on any of the pastebins?
>>
>>5734863
Powerlevel, once it's updated at the end of the episode. That one will have quite a few changes by the time this episode wraps up. Some expected, others, well. You'll have to wait and see.

“Karn, are you okay?” Meloka thinks to you immediately, having no doubt sensed your sudden increase in power. “Are you still in control?”
“Yes, Raven helped me out just now, and I've got a decent handle on it at the moment.” you reply, wondering how quickly you could close the gap from her to you in this form? But then you decide against it, opting instead for another question. “What time is it even? It only felt like five minutes at the most since I landed here, but its already dark.”

“You've been over there for the past four hours.” she replies, your jaw dropping a bit. Four hours? How?! What part of that took four hours? “I asked several times, but each time Raven said you were in a delicate state and not to disturb you.”
“She was right, I have no idea what could have happened if I was disturbed at the wrong moment. I could have even lost control.” you reply, turning and giving Raven a nod before lifting gently up into the air and flying home. It only takes a second, but since you weren't ready you zip clear past your house and nearly halfway around the planet before stopping, realizing what happened with your ki sense. So you turn back, slowing yourself considerably this time so you don't shoot past your home. It takes you a couple seconds, then instead of flying down simply drop and let gravity carry you.

Dropping like a meteor, you land on the far end of the small island away from your home and kick up a spray of sand on impact. Which starts to settle down after a moment, grains of sand dropping back down then freezing in midair as you turn towards your home. Only for your instincts to suddenly blaze in alarm, whirling back around to see... No one. But the feeling persists, something here is a threat. And not just any threat, but a SERIOUS one. You try and focus your ki sense, but then feel it: energy like that of Beerus and Meloka's Super Saiyan God power appears above you. Immediately you clench your fists and power up, aura blazing as none other than the Supreme Kai of Time herself suddenly appears! And not just in her usual tiny form either, but in her more adult-seeming, full-power form with the odd energy clock construct behind her head glowing bright!

“You and I need to talk.” she says simply, the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end for a foot or so, the weight of your hair keeping it from standing any straighter. This is bad, this is really, REALLY bad! “About this power of yours.”

“Chilli, are you up?” you reach out to your son telepathically, hoping that he's awake. And, fortunately, you get an answer immediately.
“What's wrong?” he asks, worry immediately flooding through the link. “Is it-?”
“Time Kai's here, might need your help backing me up.” you tell him.
“I'll be right there.” he replies, immediately ending the link as you focus your full attention now on the Kai.

“That power, it... Something's WRONG with it.” she says seriously, eyes narrowing a bit. “I no longer sense it from you, not as you are now, but earlier today you tapped into a power that doesn't belong in this reality. What did you do?”
“What, don't you recognize it? It should be familiar to you, after all.” you say, trying to use a bit of confidence and bravado to hide the worry twisting your guts into knots. And it works, the Kai's eyes widening in surprise.
“No, it can't be...” she says, taking a step back midair. “That's impossible.”

“Come on, Kai. Mechikabura survived, Dumplin survived, and now you know I survived too.” you say, clenching your fists and letting your emerald aura blaze up wildly around you as Chilli's ki appears inside your ship by Freeza's ki. She takes another step back, muttering something to herself as she stares at you in shock. “I know what you did to me.”
“I didn't have a choice!” she shouts angrily, a hint of desperation in her tone as she stamps a foot. “Mechikabura would have ruined everything, I had no choice!”
“No choice? You're so fucking desperate to cling onto your power you'd rather destroy EVERYTHING?!” you roar, the Kai actually flinching at your sudden volume. “Because YOU refused to lose, you'd rather let all of existence be erased, everyone's lives and afterlives taken away because of YOU?!”

“You ignorant mortal! You don't understand what you're talking about!” she shouts back as you sense Chilli rush out of the ship, his body rendered completely invisible with his light-bending spell he'd used back at the tournament against his sister. “If Mechikabura won, he would have caused more suffering than you can possibly perceive, demons don't care for mortal kind and seek only their suffering.”
“Like you and the other so-called gods are any better.” you reply, summoning your Stand around your right fist. Her eyes immediately go to its crimson-scaled hide, you doing what you can to keep her focus on you and not your son. Any second now....

“We don't interfere with mortals because we follow the divine laws, unlike those dam-” she starts, freezing in place as suddenly twin blades of pale crystal sprout from her chest. She looks down, completely shocked at the sensation as the injuries immediately start necrotizing. “What?”
“Die.” Chilli says into her ear, tearing both blades free out her sides while kicking off her back. His attack sends her crashing to the ground, landing a few feet from you as Chilli flips backwards, landing on his feet as the Kai's body bounces towards you. Immediately you lunge forward, swinging Divine Dragon Force for her again. But at the last moment she dodges, twisting around your attack and flying back away from you before you can turn. Planting a foot you spin, sliding to a stop facing her as she presses a hand to the injury. “Death Magic: Necrotize.

“Gah!” the Supreme Kai of Time exclaims, clutching to her chest and dropping to a knee, you seeing the dead flesh spreading from the wounds Chilli'd inflicted. “What?!”
“Crystal Magic! Crystalization!” he roars, throwing one of his swords at her. But she deflects it with her hand, knocking the sword away. Only for its crystals to start spreading over her hand, traveling down her arm. Her eyes widen even further at this, only to close them and actually smirk. That can't be good. “This time you're dying for good!”
“Time's up.” she replies as the hands on her halo shaped like a clock start moving counterclockwise. The Crystalization stops and starts reversing, as does the necrosis of the injuries she'd received. And in less than a second she's fully healed as if nothing happened, rising back up to her feet. “Now I get it, I see what Lord Jergal sees in you in this time.”

She then snaps her fingers, your instincts immediately exploding in warning that you're in danger. But before you can do anything, suddenly you're trapped! You can't move, even your eyes are frozen in place as the Time Kai sighs out, walking over to you both. First she walks right past you while going over to Chilli, you feeling your blood boil but are unable to increase your power, to move, to ANYTHING while trapped in this space.

“You could do a lot of good with that power of yours, if you were fighting for the right side. Perhaps you'll turn around, one day.” she tells him, then walks back over to you. Coming to a stop in front of your face, not looking smug like you'd anticipated. Instead she seems almost... Sad? “Why must you always fight me, Karn? Every time, we always fight in the same way in the beginning, no matter what I say. But when Mechikabura betrays you, as he always does, know that I'll still be here Karn. When the time comes and he slaughters your family, I will help you get your vengeance against him. As I always do.”

Despite being frozen in time, your mind starts racing a mile a minute. Every time? Always does? What the hell is she talking about? Does this mean that this.... Isn't the first time she's reset reality? Or even the second? How many times has this happened?

“But please, be cautious. That power from the other time, it's been corrupted by Mechikabura's influence. He's infected it with his own dark power, to control your actions when using it. If you lean into that power, you'll be nothing more than his tool. And I know how much you value your freedom.”

With that she starts walking away, but then stops, turning back.

“You only have a few more years of peace left. Cherish the time with your family you have left.” she says, then disappears. A moment later her time power stops as well, leaving you and Chilli able to move freely. But your son's immediate shout breaks you out of your thoughts.
“I won't let you-! Huh?” your son asks, you turning to see him looking where the Time Kai was standing when she stopped time. He then looks around a moment, then to you. “What happened? Where'd she go?”

Which means that your son wasn't aware of what happened, he didn't see or hear her as she'd spoken. Did she mean for you to hear that as well, another sort of manipulation or was that her real thoughts? Your head is all confused, contradictory and uncertain thoughts swirling through your mind until your son's voice brings you back to the present.

“Dad? Are you okay?” he asks, you looking over to see him staring worriedly at you. “She didn't do anything to you, did she?”
“No, I'm okay.” you reply, reaching over and patting him on the shoulder. “Thanks for your help son, you almost had her.”
“Next time I'll go for the head, I should have knows she doesn't have a heart.” he replies with a bit of heat in his tone. But after what you heard, you can't quite agree with his sentiment. Was that all some sort of manipulation? Or was it real, did she really think you both couldn't hear her talking?

What now?

Fuck, I want to trust Mechi to not backstab us, but i cant really shake off this feeling.
Inb4 mechi is influenced by something else that causes him to backstab Karn, because I dont get it, once he starts winning why would he backstab us anyway, once he wins he can do whatever as long as he leaves our timeline alone and doesnt purge it or aim for our family he knows this and basically understands that if by some chance he wants to cause havoc he could just wait until Karn dies a natural death.

Maybe he gets a huge boost in power and it goes to his head? He did say that when he was younger and much stronger, he was also more brash and arrogant. He has no reason to pull that shit on us, and every reason not to make an enemy of us, sure. “You did good, son.” you tell him, sighing out and sitting down on the sand, facing the dark sea. You feel that you partially sat down on your flowing mane of emerald hair, but it doesn't matter. You have more important questions to contemplate.
“Dad, c'mon. Something's clearly bothering you.” he says, walking over and standing beside you. “What happened when she stopped time before leaving?”
“I'm not sure.” you tell him honestly, turning and looking away from him back out towards the dark sea. “I need to spend some time and think through some things.”

“I understand. If you need me, let me know.” he says, then with a chuckle adds. “I was up with Kazuburo anyways, trying to let Megumin get some sleep.”
“Take care of them.” you say to him, remembering her parting words. “Cherish your family, son.”
“...Right.” he replies after a moment's silence, knowing that something's up but also knowing that you're not going to tell him until you're ready. So he leaves after giving you a nod of understanding, using his Instant Transmission to teleport back to his home. Leaving you alone with the darkness, the sounds of the waves, and your own thoughts. You think back over everything she said, how things keep happening the same way over and over again. But something about that doesn't add up. If things kept playing out, why is there only one Berserker Soul you can reach out to? What happened to the others? Is it still connected to Divine Dragon Force? But if that's the case, then Divine Dragon Force, having come from another reality and binding itself to you, should ALSO connect with the other Berserker Souls it had been part of before as well.

And then there's Mechikabura. He claims to have only survived a single reset of the universe, but if that's true and he only survived once what happened before? Is it some sort of repeating pattern, this reality and the previous playing out one after another for eternity? But then why? If she knows how everything plays out, why wouldn't the Goddess of Time CHANGE how events play out? Prevent this cycle from continuing, and allowing reality to go past this point. But then it hits you, an answer so obvious its simple:

She resets everything each time she's about to lose control. She would rather erase countless lives and realities, all of time just to rebuild it again and remain on top. Nothing else makes sense to you but the desire to remain in power, no matter the cost. Everything suddenly makes a whole lot more sense. She's abusing her powers to keep herself in control, no matter the consequences. It all comes down to the Supreme Kai of Time, no Chronoa herself. It's all about her.

She LETS events play out as they had before, not using her knowledge of what happens so it keeps doing the same things over and over. Ending up in the same ending points, where she can undo everything and start reality over once again.

“But what can I do?” you mutter, opening your eyes and looking to your hand, barely-visible in the dark. Feeling a lot more powerless than you ever have before, despite wielding strength you've rarely felt rivaled. But then a soft, gentle voice breaks you out of your thoughts.
“Daddy? Can, can I sit with you?” Caulifla calls, you turning your head to give her a nod, gesturing to the spot right beside you. She sits down, hugging her knees to her chest best she can as she looks out over the dark sea, her Stand hovering silently behind her. “What're you doin' out here all by yourself?”

“Thinking.” you tell her, not wanting to unload your burdens onto her. But she accepts the answer, sitting with you silently for several seconds. She then holds up her right hand, you seeing the sword and moon pendant she uses to travel through time sitting there on it, your daughter looking at the small silver necklace.
“I've been thinking too.” she says, looking at the pendant. “Why do I keep going? Why do I keep wearing this thing? Sure it makes me feel good to go help people, but they're already dead. Why do I keep fighting for them?”

You don't immediately have an answer, your daughter gazing at the small pendant as it catches the slim moonlight, faintly glowing a dark purple that's nearly-indistinguishable from the darkness.

“If I go back or not, it doesn't change the outcome.” she continues, still staring at the pendant. “They're all already long dead by now, even Lord Gwyndolin and Captain Yorshka and they're gods. So why do I keep fighting for them? If I abandon them now, or not until I die, it doesn't matter as they're long dead anyways. Should I just.... Give up? Throw it in the ocean, and never look back? Or should I keep fighting, even though it's meaningless?”

Well? What do you tell her?
>Tell her that even if the fight is ultimately pointless, she has to fight for what she believes regardless of if it changes the outcome or not
>Say that you don't know, that whether or not the fight is worth continuing is up to her and she'll have to decide for herself if it is worth the fight or not
>Let her know that there's no point wasting her effort on a pointless fight, she would be better served putting that energy towards something more productive and that better serves her goals and dreams
>Tell her that you can't decide for her what she should do, but that you'll support her wholeheartedly in whatever choice she decides to make

“Even if the fight is ultimately pointless, you have to stand up and fight for what you believe in. Even if you give it your all and your best doesn't change the outcome, you still fight. If you don't stand for what you believe in, do what you think is right, who will?” you say, your daughter not answering immediately. She looks over from the pendant to you, as you look only at your right hand, slowly clenching it into a fist. “That's what I've always believed. No matter how outmatched I was, how impossible victory was, I kept pushing forward to the end. But that was my choice. You have to find your own answers, kiddo.”

“My own answer?” she asks, you looking from your hand over to her face, your young adult daughter looking lost.
“Going back in time to help those people gave you the magic you use to heal people here and now, right? So it wasn't pointless. You've done a lot of good for everyone with that power you couldn't have gotten any other way.” you tell her, Caulifla looking from you back to the pendant. “Maybe we can't change what happens, maybe the results of your fights back in time aren't what really matters. But, just maybe, what you will learn from the past is. Who knows, you might stumble upon something that will save us all, one day.”
“Huh. I never thought of it like that.” she says, still looking at the pendant. She hangs it from her fingers, watching it sway back and forth in the slight breeze for several seconds, the silence deepening. Then, after several seconds of thought pulls it all back into her hand, clutching it tightly. “Thanks Dad. I needed to hear that.”

“Of course kiddo, glad to help.” you tell her, standing up from your meditative position and offering her your hand. Which she takes with her empty one, you helping her stand. Despite her height, in this form you still tower over her like you had when she was younger. And she presses herself to you, wrapping her arms around you just barely. You return her hug gently, being careful not to hurt her as the two of you stand in the quiet. Maybe all of this is ultimately pointless, your ultimate destiny to relive all of this over and over again for all time. But it doesn't matter, as you're never going to quit fighting for your family. No matter what the future has in store, you will fight to protect them with everything you've got.

Next time we'll be getting into what happens that first time you head to Towa's after getting the new form, as well as moving to the end of this first short training period. All this and more, NEXT TIME on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!

Thanks for the session as per usual GD.
I'm glad our kids actually feel like they can come to us with their problems, makes me feel like we're not doing bad at all.
Also we gotta talk to Mechikabura immediately. Either he's been withholding extremely important information from us or he's been working without it.
>>
If universe 6 didn't have a God Ritual then they couldn't have made a beserker spirt. But us cool kids on patreon know that U6 beserker is the same as ours. What if one of the beserker souls migrated to a different universe

But that begs the question: if there's a 3rd soul in circulation, and if it hasn't bonded yet, could it be taken by a different berserker?
>>
>>5735453
Glad you enjoyed. And yes, while you may not always have a perspective on their problems that helps, most will ask either Karn or Meloka for help if they’re struggling. But Mechikabura is the real question. Does he know this isn’t the first reset and just plays his part, enjoys the game? Or is he ignorant to this revelation?
>>5735464
They may not have had the same ritual to achieve godhood, perhaps it was formed differently. But the Super Saiyan God ritual, AS STATED by Shenron and shown in the Soulgaze, needs six pure-hearted Saiyans to work. Were one to be consumed by hate or rage, or already touched by the Berserker power, the ritual will fail and create a Berserker instead, or link the existing Berserker Soul to the ritualee.
>>
>>5735488
So is the Super Saiyan God ritual a method of Soul Conjuring/Binding then>
>>
>>5735488
Oddly enough, if supreme thot hadn't sent trunks to stop towa from healing our wife, our antagonistic relationship with her probably wouldn't be nearly as bad as it is now.

Or sending goons to disrupt almost every single one of our family functions.
>>
>>5735542
Its primary design is to create a god. However, there are ways it can fail to create a deity, namely being in contact with one’s power already.
>>5735545
Yes, but I think you’re missing the subtext. She HAS to get you strong enough for events to play out correctly, to make you as strong as possible even if it comes at the expense of you hating her. “no matter what I say”, implies a whole lot, don’t you think?
>>
>>5735575
>Yes, but I think you’re missing the subtext. She HAS to get you strong enough for events to play out correctly, to make you as strong as possible even if it comes at the expense of you hating her. “no matter what I say”, implies a whole lot, don’t you think?

... Oh God, we're her secret weapon in a way aren't we? She knows we wouldn't be nearly as antagonistic towards her if she did things differently, but by doing things differently it is much harder for her to predict the outcome. However just because we're Fateless, but doesn't mean we're unpredictable. Karn's not a complicated guy to understand. If this really has been repeating itself over and over again, she's had more than enough time to get a solid grasp on Karn's personality. Even if she can't use her powers to see our future, she's good enough at understanding mortals to get who we are and how we'll react in certain situations. Chronoa could do things differently, but that risks Mechikabura actually winning for real. She's probably seen timelines where he wins and she's reduced to a mind controlled puppet while he rules over all existence.

The time loop she's stuck in isn't an ideal situation to be sure. But knowing how things will end is a safety net in itself. She's afraid to take a risk on the unknown.

Then what about Super Shenron? Having a reason to galavant around space again would be fantastic.
>>
She does have a valid point about the two berserker souls, though. Nothing good ever comes from Fu shenanigans.
>>
...remember the time Karn DDFed a Chronoa? She seemed pretty shocked and angered by that. If she's seen him do that hundreds of times, then why did she seem genuinely shocked?

Maybe Karn's already made a few ripples, but she doesn't believe they're enough to take him off the rails.
>>
>>5735624
Maybe. But to pull it off, the wish would have to come from OUTSIDE your timeline.
>>5735642
While it was dangerous, it is something you could gain control of eventually.

Okay, I'm thinking of the implications of that, and just barring our timeline in general.
Maaaaaaaaaaybe it's a bad idea.
>>
>>5735665
Yes. You’d have to make such an all-encompassing wish on the Time Scroll of your timeline itself. Trapping you outside it forever more, but ensuring no forces outside that reality ever affected it again.
>>
>>5735710
There's that, but I was also considering the fact that half of our family doesn't even live in this timeline.
>>
>>5735711
There’s that as well. As nice as a suit of armor around your timeline sounds, it would have its own drawbacks.

So legitimate question I've basically been pondering ever since it first was implied chronoa has nuked all of reality an indeterminate amount of times. Canonically Mechi gets his shit slapped across time and space and he gets straight up locked out of reality as a whole, and then shit moves on to the aeos single timeline shitfest. Mind you Mechi loses handily and doesn't really require the resort of blasting all of reality to hell and moving onto the next one, in fact he basically gets soloed by xeno vegito. I feel like chronoa knows this but still does this shit anyways and I simply want to ask why.
>>
>>5735982
I think she'd rather deal with Mechi over and over than have to contend with Aeos.
>>
>>5735982
Yes, in the heroes canon Vegito SS4 can body even full power Mechikabura. So, how did he get this strong? How is he able to stop Apex Chaya with a finger in his old age, when the original couldn’t do the same?
>>5735999
She’s clearly weaker than Aeos in canon, but where has Aeos been all this time? All these times over and over, Mechikabura makes no mention of a stronger Time Kai. Which he would have seen, if reality had been wholly recreated and started over
>>
>>5736067
Clearly, we're a timeloop in a bottle.
>>
>>5736067
>how did he get this strong

This entire timeloop is just the equivalent to a training montage for Mechi.
>>
>>5736073
I feel I’m missing a reference here.
>>5736118
But how? Your Mechikabura is only aware of one previous reality, the one he barely survived getting erased. And if there are so many realities, how aren’t there a whole bunch of extradimensional Time Patrollers like Dumplin?
>>
>>5736129
>I feel I’m missing a reference here.
Nah no reference. The answer is simply that Aeos has this timeline on a loop and separate for funsies because she hates the pink midget and wants her to suffer. Yes. The only answer. A self contained shitshow forever. Even all the branching timelines are just copies.

It's all a sham. Everyone take off your clothes and scream at clouds.
>>
>>5736129
>Your Mechikabura is only aware of one previous reality
Is he though, or is that what you want us to think? Hmmm?

Your psychic shenanigans cant get past my tinfoil!
>>
>I betrayed Karn, and so he defied all odds and forced Chronoa to reset the timeline
>but this time will be different. I will keep Karn close to my side, and I swear I will not betray him.
>Ah, previously unforeseeable circumstances force my hand to betray Karn yet again, but this time I have taken precautions--
>I betrayed Karn, and so he defied all odds and forced Chronoa to reset the timeline
>i'm sure i'm not in a timeloop, and I certainly am not playing right into Chronoa's hands!
>>
>>5736209
That's the real problem with this inception bs. If things happened over and over and over again like a bad rerun or every other board on this hellsite, does this mean that despite being Fateless, we're playing right into Fate's hands? We ARE a short book to read. I don't like how we've gone this long without a check to Mechikabura either

All of this being by Aeos’ design is an interesting idea, but if Chronoa erases all of reality by destroying the Prime Scroll, what happens to her each time reality is erased? As the current Time Kai Chronoa is immune to timeline effects, far moreso than a simple Time Ring’s protection. But what happens to one who no longer holds that mantle?
>>5736205
That is your current understanding. But next time your talk with Towa might bear some…interesting results.
>>5736209
Such a thought process would imply Mechikabura is the one who remembers each and every reality.
>>5736228
A good question. Or is Fate itself bound to the Time Scroll, deleted each time reality is erased and recreated, keeping someone or some thing from reaching their Fate?
As for a check for Mechikabura, you have two: Chilli. Pic may or may not be related.
>>5736246
Chaos magic can induce Fatelessness, as we’ve seen before with Chilli undoing Chaya’s sword’s fate, as well as the man whose death he undid(and later re-did). But that isn’t necessarily the only method
>>
>>5736263
EZ, Chronoa has a false prime time scroll. Magic.
>>
>>5736263
>As for a check for Mechikabura, you have two: Chilli.
Well whats the other one? It isn't Divine Dragon Force, he made sure to guard his power against it. Unless we have two Chillis.
>>
>>5736268
That wouldn’t work, not as intended. Breaking a fake wouldn’t affect all of reality, deleting everything including Mechikabura’s body and leaving only beings outside time and/or divine influence
>>
>>5736290
Did you not check the pic?

you could have a subordinate "Prime" scroll that is connected to all other scrolls except the real prime scrolls.

>AGE 731, PLANET VEGETA, DESERT OUTSKIRTS

Stars light up the desert sky, bright as ever. The Tuffles never laid claim to any land in this region, weak as they are. The wildlife out here must have been too much for them, the weaklings. All the better, you've never had to deal with any distractions out here. You gaze upwards without hesitation, the full moon having passed only a few days earlier.

You are Karn, Saiyan warrior and occasional stargazer. Awestruck as you are, it takes more than a moment for you to notice the chafing of your new undersuit and armor. Gifts, courtesy of King Cold, your new employer. Even now, you can still see “King” Vegeta sweating bullets as they clasp hands in agreement. Snorting derisively at the thought, you pull your armor off, taking a moment to observe how it shrinks back to a size better fit for a child than a young man like yourself.

Turning your head back to the skies above, your thoughts turn towards what lies beyond them. Space. Other planets. Places to clean out, places to conquer. All at the behest of some overgrown lizard who made the strongest of you look like a fish out of water. From the stories your elders told you, it wouldn’t be the first time a Saiyan has hopped from planet to planet and taken as he pleased. But this? Something about this doesn’t sit right with you.

You sigh, standing from your rocky seat and turning back and preparing to take off, but not before spying a figure obscured in shadow. You don’t miss a beat, dropping your hips and letting your arms hang by your sides, ready for a brawl. “Ha! Kid, do you ever relax?” the figure says, you recognizing his voice immediately. “Tatsu.” you say before breathing out and standing back up. “You need me for something? Another Tuffle lab we missed?”

cont
>>
>>5736456
“Nope. Not tonight.” he says, stepping into the moonlight. “Just saw a kid with too much on his mind is all.” Your shoulders sag as you breathe out of your nose in frustration. “Come to tell me how good this deal is? How we’re so lucky to keep doing what we’ve always done?” you ask, glaring at the older man. “Who said that? Vegeta? One of his toadies?” Tatsu asks, folding his arms before continuing. “Look, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it kid, this thing with Cold? We’re being taken advantage of.”

“THEN WHY ARE WE JUST LETTING IT HAPPEN?!” you shout, voice echoing in the distance. The air grows thick with tension, you take a moment to calm down before resuming. “Why aren’t we just taking down this “Cold” guy? Sure, he’s stronger than Vegeta, but if we all rush him together-” “We’ll be slaughtered.” Tatsu interjects, you freezing at his statement. “I know you saw it, how he carries himself. That creature…he’s a damn monster.”

Your hands ball up into fists as you shout. “DAMN IT! He can’t…he can’t just do this to us! What the hell kinda life is killing for him supposed to be?” you shout, more at the air than to Tatsu himself. He doesn’t respond, you falling back to the ground and turning away from him. A moment passes before he speaks up. “Ya know, things could be worse.” he says. You scowl. “Not you too!” you groan. He sighs out before walking past you to the edge of the cliff, turning and looking you in the eye once more.

“Kid, we’re still fighting for the stuff that matters.” he starts, much to your confusion. “We’re still doing this for our people, our way of life.” he continues. “Our people still need us. They need us to fight, and they need us to WIN.” he says, punctuating his speech by slamming a fist into his open palm. “What they don’t need is a warrior who’d rather mope around in the middle of nowhere than crush his enemies!” he barks, voice rising gradually. “We may not have a choice, but this is for everybody’s sake! Just like always!”

cont
>>
>>5736305
Yeah. We haven’t seen him around in ages, but with his years of experience battling gods and their servants he’s a threat to both Mechikabura and Chronoa, if neither have recruited him.
>>5736318
Well yes but actually no. And I have a ruleset for my own setting for the novel/series I’m writing. But just because 90% of the mechanics aren’t relevant doesn’t mean I don’t have one.
>>5736426
You mean something like a first choice scroll, erasing all other possibilities? Yes, but then it wouldn’t be a CHOICE, if there are no options and they’d simply revert to a single scroll.
>>5736456
Oh?
>>
>>5736458
You look at him for what feels like hours before standing up and walking towards him. At only a few feet away, you stop, staring him dead in the eyes. “If it’s like that…” you start. “Then I’ll fall in line. For our people” you say, holding your right arm out for a traditional Saiyan handshake. Tatsu grins before reaching out, only for you to pull your hand back at the last second. “It’s not always gonna be like this though. Not while I have anything to do with it.” You start. “I’m not gonna stop until I’m strong enough to…to…” you say, trailing off as you look down at your hand.

Before you can react, Tatsu’s hand shoots forward and grips your forearm firmly. You look back up at him before he speaks. “Kid, I get it. Trust me, I do, but you’re not gonna be strong enough to make that happen if all you do is moan about it.” he says with a smirk. “You wanna change things around here? You can start by showing me you at least remember how to fight.” Tatsu takes a half-step back, knees bending and hands drifting in front of him.

“Ha! You think you can keep up with me?” you chuckle, dropping back down into your brawling stance. Your eyes meet for only a moment before you charge forward with a growl, right hand cocked back and ready to swing…

Thank you for reading all that if you did. Five thousands characters sure do stack up quick.
While my idea of Karn having reservations about the Saiyans joining the PTO and that spurring on his eventual quest for "freedom" might conflict with GD's established narrative, I wanted to post this anyways for the sake of it existing outside of my hard drive.
I'm not even a hobbyist writer, I usually just draw shit, but feel free to give notes.
>>
>>5736462
Aw fuck I'm starting to see redundant text all over it. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK WHY CAN'T I PROOFREAD!?
>>
>>5736462
Not bad work, but the biggest pointer is when dialogue. “Having someone say something.” he said, speaking words. “In the middle of your paragraphs.” instead of at the start of a new one makes it hard to read.

“Have your talking here.” expressive sentence regarding actions/attitudes mid-sentence. “And then finish it with the rest of their sentences behind it.”
“Then have the second character’s reaction.” or answer to the question, “Take place after hitting enter once, starting a new line.”

A small writing tip that’ll make your work far easier to read for everyone, and helps clarify who says what. Also helps with seeing patterns to what words you’re using and how many times you repeat phrases.
>>
>>5736465
Okay, yeah, that makes sense. If I ever do this again, I will remember that.
>>
>>5736465
The trick to getting around repetitious monologue and dialogue both is to make the speaker (inner and outer) really really fucking dumb. That way when you're repeating yourself, whether it be spoken or thought, it'll make sense. Because stupid people tend to have very limited thoughts. And very limited thoughts tend to play over and over ad nauseam. So it tracks.

Or is he merely pretending?

Sometimes I like to think about how TFS Vegeta would probably become a Karn fanboy. Think about it, we're basically everything he thinks a Legendary Super Saiyan should be.

Normally, Karn would take issue with his treatment of Trunks, but considering it's THE BOI maybe not. On the other hand, I can see Karn telling Vegeta to make sure to raise his version of Trunks to not turn out like THE BOI.
>>
>>5736835
You can't really predict whether or not people will engage with your quest in the short or long term.
As far as I know, the only thing you can do is post consistently and interact with your players between sessions. It doesn't even have to be a new post for the quest itself most of the time.
For example, GD actually taking the time to respond to questions and other posts is what keeps a lot of people in the thread during such times.
If your players are constantly checking the thread, there's a lower chance of them missing an actual update or dropping the quest entirely due to a lack of interest.
That's also why making a discord server for everybody to hang out in is a bad idea if you want people to actually engage with stuff in the thread.
Granted, GD also makes sure to be here on time every weekend which is probably the largest contribution towards the long running success of SCQ.
Vacations, weddings, farm work, karate tournaments, DnD sessions, and family visits notwithstanding. Sometimes shit just happens, so it's good to notify players in advance, or at all.

Oh absolutely. I can see TFS Vegeta being a Karn simp though except when it comes to his friendship with Freeza.

>TFS Vegeta: "He wiped out our entire race!"
>Karn: "Yeah, in YOUR timeline. Not this one."
>TFS Vegeta: "You have no idea if he'll suddenly decide to do the same here!"
>Karn: "It's not my fault none of the Saiyans in your timeline had the balls to actually befriend Freeza."
>TFS Vegeta: "Kakarot would, but he's a total idiot."

Abridged Karn is the epitome of Dad memes.
Always shows up with a beer in hand. Beats the piss out of people with his belt. Half of his appearances involve grilling in some way, because even if he's not actively grilling he's at least on his way to get things to grill with.
Has a car he constantly polishes. Never actually drives it.
Never asks for directions. Gets lost and insists he knows where he's going.
I'm sure I missed some things.

He would certainly think Karn deserved the title of Legendary.
He would at first blame him for how boy turned out, but after learning Trunks is the ultimate case of fatherless behavior he would likely feel sorry for Vegeta. Seeing how far his bloodline’d fallen.
>>5736881
Yes. I caught lightning in a bottle as DB quests were springing up, everyone was tired of Som, and more tired of repeating over and over the “Z Fighters but with my super special OC Donut Steel” run.
And yes, engagement is important. Set the pace for how the quest would run right out the gate with episode 1, and I’ve not really deviated from that schedule.

Gross.
Yes, a reliable schedule works wonders for engagement. If you know that the quest runs same time every week, its easier to show up and participate. Or if you’re a lurker, you open it up the day after it finishes, catching up on everything.

Until he learns Freeza never destroyed the Saiyan race. A hypothetical post-Res F TFS Vegeta would be exceptionally jealous of having a Golden Freeza for a sparring partner, that rate of growth pushing his own.

Speaking of, this is for everyone:
With us not reaching the couple months’ training jump to Meloka Wolbach’s next birthday yet, should I post the numbers for that growth now before the short jump? Or wait until it happens possibly next episode?

As much wiser it would be to not be like DBSpicscholars, my autism refuses to let this fade from my consciousness and we're on downtime.

Last time I checked featwise, DBM Bra was around the same-ish ballpark as Perfect Cell in BASE form. And checking the pastebin now, none of our children in the present got past 100 mil in base, but unlike Bra's trash ass they aren't kneecapped to just Ascended Super Saiyan. But I do think Chilli has the best shot of beating her with his magic, and Broly tapping into Primal Beserker could deck her shit, same with Chaya. I don't think our present kids could touch Vegito, but Maza or Future Chaya are WASHING Bra and could definitely solo DBM Vegito low-zero diff. Meloka fucking maims DBM Bra and hard counters Vegito, same verse with Karn. And I think Towa and Freeza speak for themselves.

There, fixed. Also, VEGITO’s power, as we’ve seen, is in a league of its own. We have never even seen any canon Vegito even slightly injured, the worst blow he took was knocked off his feet by Zamasu. But he was unharmed, didn’t even leave a scuff mark.
>>5737659

>>
>>5737639
Honestly I feel like we could somewhat get along with DBM Vegito. The dude can be sketchy, but all he really wants is just a good fight since no one in his universe can challenge him, so learning about the greater multiverse, all the levels above Super Saiyan 3, and god ki would make him cream himself. He has the combined fight autism of Goku and Vegeta.

... Wait a minute, we have Spirit Control. We could just use Forced Spirit Fission to split DBM Vegito back into Goku and Vegeta.
>>
>>5737743
Bubble Bass is simply on another level, GD. Also, its true that canon Vegito takes like no battle damage, but DBM Broly made DBM Vegito *bleed*, though the upper limit of DBM Broly's power is unbound, his scaling is over maximum absurd tbf. Knowing that and the fact that DBM Vegito is kneecapped to SSJ3 which has a drastically shorter timer for him specifically because DBM reasons makes me think that Karn could gimp him 1v1 with DDF cheese. But typing this all out now makes me realize how much of a nerd I sound.
>>5737749
I think with a lot of humbling he'd thrive in this universe. Vegito isn't a goody2shoes like one of his components are, and the main reason behind his kinda schizo behavior is because he's the uncontested strongest in his universe with nobody left to push him and feels responsible for everything, including his honestly insane daughter that's stronger than everyone save for himself and has nuked friends and family more than once. And with an eternal rubberband in Beerus and Whis means he won't get bored or misguided anytime soon. Only problem is getting him to accept the status quo of the greater universe since the Cold Clan are still in charge.
>>
>>5737668
Discord didn’t kill that quest, the QM having a shit job and living in chile killed it.
But also it’s supposedly not dead, they just go on long hiatuses between threads.
>>
>>5737743
Chili needs to grind his powerlevel more, same as Arctus, though the latter might better just make a wish that would grant a powerlevel increase every time he starts drinking. Jokes aside, he definitely needs to get swole as well.
>>
>>5737743
Alright I have a stupid question that's gonna bother me nonstop if I don't ask.
Exactly what part of the forearm does Karn use for that Djem-So blocking/parrying move he likes to do?
Does he us the flat of it that's in line with the back of the fist and let it slide past?
Or does he try and connect with the outer point of the ulna to concentrate make it an impromptu strike?
>>
>>5737810
Chili's in a weird spot, imo.

He's not slacking off like Gohan does because magic IS his specialty and we know he's grinding at it, but we also know that once you have enough raw power you can ignore hax to a certain extent. He needs to get strong enough that his magic is always effective. I don't expect him to catch up to us, Meloka, Broly and Chaya of course but he needs to keep his physical might in mind as well.
>>
>>5737749
That's an understandable motivation.
Potentially. Depends on the power gap, Spirit Fission is reliant on damage.
>>5737770
Yes, but with the 'ass' bib and knife its more menacing than usual.
Vegito of DBM sounds like he needs a friend and rival.
>>5737810
Both of them aren't reliant on raw power but their unique hax. Arctus is basically unstoppable after all, he can solo Darkseid's avatar after all. Only Constantine has a reasonable chance to take him down after Blue Hawaii goes off. As for Chilli, well. See bottom answer for fuller breakdown.
>>5737831
With the flat, when possible. Think a fan block without the opposite hand first touching the approaching appendage. And striking with two arm bones against only the radius of the attacker(if humanoid physiology) means one is far less likely to damage themselves blocking a harder substance. Not that that's something KARN has to worry about, but its proper form.
>>5737845
Yes, magic is what he's using. Especially with his 'unique' form he's learned is called Archon from Ainz combined with Kaio-Ken allowing him to severely spike his power output temporarily, nearly letting him keep up with Broly who was dozens of times stronger in a friendly, mom-lethal fight. And yes, raw power beats most hax. But power doesn't stop Death, or worse Chaos which can turn one's strength against them.
>>
>>5737958
>but its proper form.
You mean it's what Karn's been taught. I can see why you only put our mastery over Djem-So at a 5 to 6 out of 10.
Shuhari is a BITCH.
>>
>>5738046
Yes. Karn has barely modified if to better suit himself.
>Shuhari is a bitch
Yes. Very much so.
>>
>>5738108
Ya know, given how one of our selected training options is sparring under 1000Gs, I can see Karn fine tuning the traditional movements of the Djem-So style to "cut the fat" so to speak and fit him better than they already did.
>>
>>5738111
Which is specifically why 100x New Salda(2000x Earth)’s gravity sparring was an entirely separate option
>>
>>5738115
I see. So long as we're tracking.
I only brought it up because I saw some footage of a guy doing an Karate style inside block while intentionally weaponizing the tip of the ulna and went "Hey, that kinda reminds me of Karn's Djem-So parry, maybe we could steal that?"
>>
>>5738115
How much gravity cab the z fighters handle?
>>
>>5738372
pretty sure it's far less then what karns dealing with now.
>>
>>5738120
Its something Karn could eventually go down the path of. Turning even his blocks into strikes.
>>5738372
Battle of Gods Vegeta was at 450Gs, or 45x Planet Vegeta’s gravity. Granted, we don’t know if that was as much as HE could take, or as strong as the chamber could get. But Vegeta is notoriously bad at training, even worse than Goku.
>>5738376
Yes. But that was also him at relative peacetime trying to reach Majin Buu’s level.
>>
>>5738854
>goku's idea of training: punching brick walls
>vegeta's idea of training: headbutting brick walls
>karn's idea of training: being a brick wall
>>
>>5738854
>But Vegeta is notoriously bad at training, even worse than Goku.
Oh boy, this is a fun topic. As far as what he could definitely do to improve
>Badgering the wife to make better gravity chambers so he can stop messing around with the kiddy weights
>Not training until failure every fucking day
>Taking time to recover PROPERLY between training sessions
>Actually training and sparring with somebody else regularly (doesn't even have to be Goku, drag Trunks' scrawny ass in there or call up Piccolo)
>Multiform sparring to pick apart his own style and refine it
>doing said sparring and drills outside of the Gravity Chamber itself
That last one is kind of important as the extra downward force from the magnified gravity can kinda fuck up your form if that's all you ever train in. Should also function as great cool down exercise if nothing else.
>>
>>5738854
>But Vegeta is notoriously bad at training, even worse than Goku.
I feel like this was exemplified the best with them taking turns in the HTC. When it was Vegeta and Trunks's turn there, Vegeta just bruteforced the Super Saiyan transformation to *just* be stronger, and Trunks being a good boy and more importantly a greenhorn saw nothing wrong with it and followed his example. Meanwhile Goku went for longevity in the form instead of raw power, so that way he and Gohan could assume the form with less stamina drain and get more mileage by training in those forms.
>>
>>5738905
Also don't forget the fact that Goku was also taking the time to teach Gohan how to fight better and control his power as well.
The most attention Vegeta gave Trunks in the HTC was making sure he wasn't slacking off so he'd stay a decent punching bag.
>>
>>5738866
Goku’s the most interesting case. He spent 3-4 years(depending on translation) with Kami and Popo on the Lookout training for the 23rd WMAT and his fight with Jr. Getting his strength up into the 300s powerlevel wise, while most of the cast wasn’t yet above a hundred. Yet after Raditz and Goku’s deaths Yamcha, Tien, AND Krillen all get from sub-300 to at least Raditz’s level in a YEAR. Then there’s the admittedly non-canon Ginyu Force vs Z Fighters on King Kai’s planet, the weakest of which was ~12000 belonging to Guldo. Humans simply train better than Saiyans.
>>5738893
>>5738905
In canon Vegeta’s defense, he never actually TRAINED before the events of the Namek arc. He had no idea what to do, trying to figure it out all on his own and fumbling around until he made things work. That is, until Whis appeared and actually started TEACHING Vegeta. At several points in the show, but especially in the Black arc Vegeta surpasses Goku in terms of raw power and that gap doesn’t close. Only UI just surges past him until the manga. Where in the Moro arc he balances himself with the Yardratian Elder Pybara’s help. Vegeta was always VERY out of balance, but when his body and mind were truly in sync he could land hits on Moro when Ultra motherfucking Instinct Omen Goku couldn’t. While only at SSB himself. And his finding of that balance in himself is why, at the end of DBS:SH he finally beats Goku.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 201 Epilogue-

AGE 756, THE THIEVES' DEN

“Really, red hair? That's it? Booo, that's boring!” a clearly-drunk patron of the bar calls out from the table in front of you. “Where's the big hair?”
“Shut it, ya damn sod. I'm tryin' to watch 'ere.” another man calls, sounding even drunker from somewhere to you left. “You don't like it, piss off to another bar!”
“What did you say to me?!” the first drunk shouts, standing up from his seat. The rather wide alien with spikes on his head and arms, wearing PTO armor turns, stomping over towards the voice. You turn, curiously, your single large eye following the wide man until he stops by a table at the wall.

A man sits there by himself, wearing a large tan trench coat and tie with a mostly-empty bottle on the table, holding a smoke in one hand and a glass with the other, taking another long pull before setting the empty glass on the table with a barely-audible thud. Most of the patrons aren't watching the exchange, but you do so with great interest.

“Wut, coming to wag ya chin at me?” the man asks, taking another pull of his lit smoke and blowing a cloud in his face. “Fuck off, I don't have time for a small-timer like you.”
“Small timer? Little man, don't you know who I am?” the being asks, tapping his scouter as he looks at the blond-haired man who looks like he hasn't slept in a few days. “Heh, only four? Little man, you don't stand a chance against Kabosu. My powerlevel's seventeen thousand four hundred fifty eight! You'd better apologize, else you're gonna get hurt.”
“The only thing a tubby bah-stard like you's a threat to is the nearest buffet table.” the cocky drunk says, you seeing the low-level PTO soldier's mouth drop open in surprise. He clearly was expecting his powerlevel to mean something to this man. But you know better than to judge someone by their powerlevel. “Now stand aside, yer between me an' the big screen.”

“That's it!” the goon snarls drawing his right fist overhead. But as he does the man starts chanting something, golden energy waving between his hands as he conjures a glowing circle with lines and designs all throughout it there. The symbol expands as this 'Kabosu' swings, blocking his strike. However, the shielding energy shatters from the blow, leaving the man a clear shot with his second. Again he mutters sounds, what you presume to be words as the golden light envelops the soldier's head, who freezes in place. Only for him to fall backwards a moment later, unconscious. Several “What the hell?”s and “Oh shit”s come from the soldier's table, the man you had come here to see turning to face them as well.

“Don't worry, he's not dead. Bastard just couldn't handle his liquor.” he says, you noticing that his mostly-empty bottle on the table is now completely empty. You couldn't sense what he was doing, which means that could only be one thing: magic. This 'Constantine' seems to be the real deal. “Now, would'ja mind getting 'em outta here? There's a fight on I'm wanting to watch.”

“He is the one.” you mutter, feeling your lips turn to a grin and showing off your pointed teeth. You are Lord Boros, leader of the Dark Matter Pirates, ally to the PTO, and ruler of your own empire. One that currently has a problem, a problem you're hoping to find a solution to with his help. So, using telepathy you'd obtained by Geryuganshoop's power you give Melzargard his order.
“Of course.” “It shall be done.” Yes, this is good.” his heads say, your subordinate going to the bar and getting a second of the man's bottles, taking it over to the magic wielder's table and making introductions while you watch the Saiyans battling the God of Destruction. After their showing earlier today where the Destroyer Beerus defeated them all without trying, you weren't sure how powerful this new form he's been working towards would be. But so far, between his even stronger Berserker power and her 'Super Saiyan God' form, Karn and Meloka are actually making a fight of it.

“So, yer the bugger who wanted to talk, eh?” the wizard says, sitting across from you with the bottle in hand, setting in on the table between you both. Unopened. “Alright, I'll hear what you have to say.”
“You are the one known as Constantine, is that correct?” you ask him, already knowing it to be true from his mannerisms and power. But you still ask to be polite.
“Yeah, that's me name. An' who are you supposed to me?” he replies, very defensively. You can't help but notice he'd put the bottle dead center of the table, not closer to either of you than the other and can tell its intentional. Seems he doesn't trust you enough to simply accept a gift, even if the bottle was never out of his line of sight.

“Forgive me, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Lord Boros, leader and master of the Dark Matter Pirates. And I've heard a great deal about you.” you say, the man's face not changing. Seems he either has no idea who you are, has an excellent poker face, or already knew and wanted to see if you'd lie to his face. “And after what you just showed, it would seem that you indeed are talented in the ways of magic.”
“Magic's me side gig. I full time as a travelin' circus.” he replies, snapping his left hand's fingers to bring his still-lit smoke back to his hand instantly, teleporting probably, then taking another pull. But he doesn't blow it on you, instead blowing it straight up in the air before continuing. “And I dunno what you heard, but that other cyclops started that fight. I got nuthin' against your kind.”

“My...? Oh, yes, I see. You must have fought another one-eyed being, as my race died out when I was younger.” you tell him casually, lifting your drink to your lips and taking a sip. “But no. I'm here because I need someone capable of battling what we know as demons.”
“Shite...” he mutters, but doesn't say anything else, you taking it as your cue to continue talking.
“Two months ago, reports started coming in from planet Killnar. They came under attack from an unknown enemy, despite no ships having arrived on the planet in the previous week leading up to the attack.” you tell him, Melzargard activating and setting a datapad on the table, Constantine looking at it perfunctorily while swiping through the images. But then his eyes widen, finger stopping as he sees one of the images of the attackers.

“Double shite. That's not just your average, run-o-the-mill necromancy yer dealin' with mate. You see this bugger 'ere?” he says, pointing to the pale humanoid with his face painted to resemble a skull, inverted triangle with the first point pointing down to his nose with several lines going up her shaved or bald skull. As he taps the screen the short video plays, the woman with an iron collar with chains on it swings the butt end of her scythe into a Snivelakian's face, staggering the reptillian bipedal creature before swinging her blade into his chest. The being dies, necrosis swiftly overtaking its body and reducing it to a zombie whose eyes start to glow. She pulls the blade free, the Snivelakian turning and marching towards where she points, firing a bolt of completely dark lightning that seems to absorb the very light out of the air nearby when fired. “You're dealin' with a Priest of Nekroz, an' by the looks of 'er, she's no amateur.”

“Nekroz? I am... Unfamiliar with this name. Is it a cult, a deity, or a planet?” you ask, the man shaking his head and putting his smoke out in the ashtray you hadn't noticed him magic over at some point.
“Nope. No way, I'm not getting' any more involved in this.” Constantine says, pushing his chair back a bit and standing up. “Pissin' off the agents of Hell is one thing, but I'm not goin' up against Death itself. I'll tell ya this much fer free, the Lord of the Unliving's a right bastard who seeks nothing less than the end of all life everywhere. If yer goin' up against HIM, I'm out.”
“Come now, Constantine. Every man has his price.” you say, grinning and purposefully showing your fanged teeth as Melzagard picks up a box from the ground, setting it by your left hand. “I am not a poor man, my empire is quite expansive. Name your price.”

“Name me price, huh?” the man says, sitting back down with a greedy glean in his eye. “Alroight, yeh got my attention, Lord Boros. Let's talk.”

You as in Karn probably won't be. Is it the spiked variant we talked about a few times before?
>>
>>5739122
No, this one would predate that one by probably a few years at least.

Would a sandpaper/rough energy body be in the cards?

God DAMN. That boy is movin' up the ladder. And he's only like 8 or something? If he does get Primal Saiyan at such a young age, I wonder what it'll look like. Will he look like a little kid in a costume or suddenly gain an adult's growth spurt? I've never been too sure if GT Goku's size changed from SSJ4 because it overrode the Black Star Dragonballs with sheer power, or if the form just sets you at your physical peak.

I imagine it'd be a kind of Lion-O situation, with all the headaches that entails.

Wait, I got it. Would it be the Edged Energy Body?

24 hours to go
>>
>>5739207
Potentially, although that can(depending on how its achieved) be more difficult than simple spikes or edges.
>>5739277
He’s an eager boy who needs more spotlight. He’d become a physical adult, as his half-brother Maza does.
It sets you at your physical peak POTENTIAL, as remember Vegeta loses like 4 inches off his height when losing SS4 against Omega.
>>5739304
There’s a show I haven’t thought about in years.
>>5739325
Potentially. As of now the Energy Body is just a rough outline of yourself, like taking a highlighter and tracing text. But it could become more.
>>
>>5739358
Hmmmm...would studs along the striking surfaces of the body (knuckles, knees, elbows, heels, forehead, etc...) be something we could add to the Energy body as well?
>>
>>5739831
Possibly, but that’d be more difficult than a straight-up spike fist or sword open hand.
>>
>>5738983
Oh sweet Jesus no, Boros, don't, anybody but that fucking Brit.

As I think about all these potential Energy Body variants, I'm starting to consider some of the downsides of the shape based ones.
I guess that's to be expected given they'd essentially be emulating various weapons, but man...
This is a LOT to think about and we haven't even seen any of the training options in regards to our passive yet.

Oh yeah I was also doing some wiki diving earlier and now I have another stupid question.
Is Burter a Speed Force conduit? Is Dyspo a conduit in his Universe?
>>
>>5739952
God damn it you reminded me flash and all his stupid bullshit is in this universe.
>>
>>5739978
Only the stuff that was in the DCAU brother.
>>
soon
>>
>>5739940
Why not? Its not like something terrible happens to every single person who associates with him or anything.
>>5739945
Yes. Potential isn’t without weakness, there is no perfect technique.
>>5739952
>Burter
Not yet. But he has the potential.
>Dyspo
Most likely.
