THUD!
CRACK!

The cold embrace of rotten flesh welcomes your mangled body. You were stripped of cloth and dignity, thrown among piles of corpses. Your body was in shambles, you couldn't lift a finger even if you wanted to. In this sorry state, You couldn't help but recall your past.

> You are Ser Adgyern, a faithful knight of Mondee. You were betrayed by your company.
>You are Ritual Child Buresé. Fatherless, Motherless. You were born among cultists worshiping an old god.
>You are nothing but a shadow of Yerim, nameless and faceless. The contract is sealed, your target awaits you in the depth.

There is little to remember from your childhood. You were kidnapped as child, you and others endured a long trek to the east where a giant sprawling castle stood tall among blistering dunes. The Home of deadly assassins of Yerim. There, your face and ears were torn off, You were cramped with other mutilated and featureless children in small cages, all were still undeserving of the beautiful glistening white mask hiding your true self.

You and the rest of the children were pitted against a giant hairy ogre with a growling belly. The blood stained floor had nothing but rusty shivs , improvised bows and arrows.

You quickly picked up a shiv. Those who were too slow were either crushed or swallowed by the rampaging ogre.

You have a resounding affinity towards daggers and smaller blades

More and more were getting slaughtered by the towering menace. You recall your approach to this dire situation:

>You lunged towards your death, evading the orge's gigantic swipes and stomps. A single mistake means untimely demise
>You stayed in the back, carefully studying your lumbering foe and waiting for the rest of the children to weaken your target first. Their deaths won't be in vain.

When the moment was ripe, you climbed over the already exhausted ogre to gouge his eyes. A flurry of stabs in his thick neck has finished the job. You and a handful of other children stood over his fresh carcass in triumph. You have earned you very first mask.

You have learned a skill: Analyze

Years have passed since then, you have wet your blade against all colours of people from lowly peasants to spoiled princes. You were devoid of emotions. No remorse. No guilt. Nothing. The Great Shadowmaster Azrahar took an intrest in you personally. He have trusted you in one of the most elusive contracts, still unfulfilled to this day.....

A forgotten god in blue, One of many who were imprisoned here in Synn...this bottomless pit, layers and layers of man-made and ancient dungeons. Like many gods here, He was mostly stripped of their divine status but all powerful nonetheless.

At first, you would have to get caught. The Shadowmaster is kind, merciful. He provided you with a rarity from his personal vault to aid you in your endeavor.

>The Tongue of K'kaaltee, an ancient stone parasite
>The eye of Abhakem, a fallen creature of light.

The Shadowmaster had showed you a pallid tongue, still pulsating after many, many years. You know what needs to be done; you have sliced off your useless tongue to accommodate this precious gift. It yearned for living flesh, that ancient tongue. In a blink, it was firmly attached to your gushing wound. It is yours now.

You have earned a skill: Stone Speech

In order you reach your slumbering target. You have to be branded with the Laws of Synn . A more severe punishment which will have you thrown here. A fate by many is worse than death. This brand has supposedly a debilitating effect on either the body or the soul. You tried to remember what manner of transgression did you commit to earn your place here among the filthy and the forsaken.

>You were branded on your chest after murdering a known religious figure of Mondee and her unborn child.
>You were branded on your hands after slaughtering a camel sacred and holy in Yerim.

An Allmother that you don't even recall her name. The new goddess of purity and soothing light, Mythriva , has entrusted her power to these Allmothers. Only them are allowed to birth the sisters of light whom will roam the land tending to the rampant sickness seeping from underground.

The brand has made its mark on your chest, it has weakened your body. 'no light shall enter this chasm of true wickedness. Blessed shall not be this body in this life.' were their pathetic words. It suits you fine either way, you have no love for the gods, old or new.

You have a brand of Synn (Innocence)

Your mind quickly returns to the present as a brute figure has grabbed your mangled body. In your haze, you spotted mounds of naked flesh strapped together with spiked chains, a sadistic laugh escaped a crude bent helmet with fleshy bits oozing from its many holes. Your bones were squeezing out of your gaping wounds as this unknown figure dragged you to a small pool of black, bubbling ooze.

In your weakened state, you couldn't resist anything. You allowed the ooze to overwhelm you. What grueling pain you once hand slowly began to subside; your wounds were closing on their own and yet you were sapped of any strength.

Delicate pale fingers grew from the darkness surrounding you, they caressed your bare chest. A gentle stroke after another. Another embrace; that of cold pale woman with a twisted voice ringing in your ear.

"Another mortal, scrambled and forsaken by the wretched above. Submit your soul to me, I am all. I am B'aholath, the true goddess of rebirth and shaper of flesh, USURPED AND BETRAYED. Submit your feeble flesh, godless wretch!"

You care little about gods or worship, you do know that once a soul is bound to a certain god, it is forever theirs. The hulking brute watches you in silent, barely able to contain his throbbing excitement.

>Refuse, You have no faith in any gods, let alone those who are so pitiful that they leech for followers to worship them

A powerful force has expulsed you out of the pool followed by a soul scattering screech. Your limbs were trembling on their own, they betrayed your disdain for any god.

The pile of rancid flesh has went amok, a dangerous mixture of insatiable lust mixed with primal rage. You were powerless to resist his relentless thrusts driven by deviant instincts . Pain was nothing new to your body. The pain soared up in your mind to the points that you were about to black out, had it not been for a flash of light.

You were momentary blind so was the dizzying menace, you...you were carried somehow during this confusion. The heavy steps of that thing grew heavier, closer, closer....

Then it disappeared.

You woke up in a strange cell, the bleeding and the rupture were gone, the pain was almost non existent. Four things piqued your intrest in this damp cell:

A portal of sorts at one of the dark corner. It was seemingly the only way out of here due to rubble and debris blocking the exit. Most importantly, you found a leather outfit, a mask and a dagger of older design. Could it be? Another Shadow of Yerim in these depths?

As you were about to put on the mask, it didn't fit you at all. The reason was clear and simple; you nose, lips, cheeks and ear....they were all back. You...you have a face once more. An identity...

>Mutilate your face, cut off your ears. there is no self for any shadow of Yerim. Don the mask.
>You, you will keep your face for the time being. All souls in Synn are damned, never to reach the surface. They shouldnt know of your true identity. Abandon the mask.

This face is not yours, it is a liability, an Blatant offence. One by one, you got rid of them all. You sighed out of relief. This is a good pain.

You have found a Yellow Shadow Mask
You have found a worn out leather armour
You have found a worn out leather leggings
You have found a Yellow Shadow dagger

With no other option available, you have stepped into the portal, ready to face whatever lied ahead.

Thankfully nothing hostile awaits you at the other end, you were inside a crumbling ruin. A place of worship perhaps in a forgotten era claimed by dust and cobwebs. A horrid hunger has assailed your stomach the moment you stepped out of the portal, the brand of Synn started to pulsate bending you to the rules of this place. Your mind was also plagued by inexplicable fear . The doings of the brand no doubt. You retained your posture and continued to examine the area.

The place was woefully dark as well. You had to squint to see the corpses littered on the stone floor. More than a dozen, all were swiftly dismembered. The only torch lit in the vicinity was close to a small stone door , its details were hidden in the flickering shadows.

You know this sort of armour too well. A knight of Mondee sat on top of a boulder probably praying to some god. The fool. You were however alarmed by her greatsword. She could put up a fight if she had to.

Darkness grew the more you moved away from the torch. A sweet scent ahead has made your mouth waters, upon closer inspection, It was some sort of a coloured mushroom with its large cap folding on itself. It has flared the cap outwards as you were within an arm's reach exposing vibrant juicy sacs hidden under the cap.

Every fabric of your existence wanted to savor this riveting delicacy, that was until an asserting voice stopped you from behind "It would be a shame for you die so swiftly from the alluring charms of the Wingless Palata especially after surviving the Warden ."

"..." You drew your blade, anticipating the worst from the knight whom had an orb of light above her head which in turn has forced the mushroom to burrow underground "I have no qualms with you , shadow. What sinful acts you have committed in the surface are not my concern." The woman shrugged it off " I am relieved in fact to see another fellow man who could walk straight with his insides and sanity intact. "

>Lower your blade. She is not drawing hers, listen to what she has to say.

"I have lost everything i cherish above. They say that true salvation lies in the darkest depths of Synn . It is but lies, fabricated lies to give us the branded a glimmer of hope..." She too had a brand of Synn on the right palm of her hand "I'll spent the rest of my miserable life guiding fools like you below."

"..."

"Now, now, i am really content of my role. I have seen many come and go, never to return. The brand will slowly eat with body and mind. Another body or twisted beast you might stumble upon in the future, i say!" She laughed while you retained your same soulless expressions "Do you have a name, Shadow? Mine is Ser Lillian ."

The knight sighed in frustration " I'll take it." The light orb above her head began to fade, She had to recast it again with a snap of her finger.

"Silent Shadow, I bid you welcome in our squalid home. The safest place there is in Syn. Let me show you the way around..." She extended her arms sarcastically. Truly, a kingdom of dirt before you.

Your first stop was the stone door, sealed shut. It had coils of three eyed snakes all over it "Believe it or not. The upper layers of Synn used to be occupied by dark pilgrims seeking some of the old gods buried in the depth. They were purged alongside most of the old gods in during the new order ."

Yes, who doesn't know the new order? the era where man took control of the reigns of history, all lead by Helderan the goddess of absolute.

"This door remained closed until another made it here in sanctuary. The Watcher dares not to touch her. She's...you'll see."

You walked alongside her to another torch barely shedding light on a lone path partially entombed by ruin. Blood and filth ran as one alongside a horrible stench. The knight was at unease , hers words were shriveled and broken "Beyond this path lies the Warden...I..you are too weak to consider facing him one on one. I..."

There was silence, painful one. Her eyes were fixed on the uneven floor "Find some solace in his unholy girth. The bastard is mighty thick to pose any threat outside of his bloody domain. You are safe here."

"Wait!" Ser Lillian stopped you, her tired eyes were strangely brimmed with concern "You will succumb to either hunger or fear . Capable as you may be, the laws of Synn differ from the surface. You have no light source, darkness will consume you. " She paused for a moment staring at the path of mire "Patience, Shadow. There is much to see here in sanctuary. I hate to see you claimed by recklessness and arrogance."

Your stomach growled in response. Should you listen to her words?

"Come on, then." Together, you walked towards a portion of a crumbling tower seemingly out of place, it was coiled with black snakes, all of them were oozing thick black substance. " The Tower of Arltria . It showed up here one day. Don't get too close to the snakes, they can bite."

This puzzling tower had a giant door of ivory, it was more of a giant slab with ten round keyholes in them. The snakes surrounding the door had golden gleaming hides. They were more reactive and protective compared to their kin. Best not to tangle with them right now.

"Here lies The Muse . Be cautious with your words...if you chose to utter any. You will need her in your journey below."

You could see why, this Muse was a naked woman with snakes for hair inside a floating mirror surrounded by charred corpses and snakes (from the tower itself). "Is that a man i see? For once, you proved useful."

Ser Lillian rolled her eyes as this Muse laughed haughtily "How long has it been? The blubbery pig leaves none for me, none! "

"..."

"Oooh, don't be shy , you! You seek to strengthen yourself . All do, how else could you reache the darkest depth of this place? ho ho ho!" Suddenly she pressed herself against the glass, black fog escaping her mouth as she licked the mirror seductively " Before that, i demand a single tribute...Stand bare before me for i too have needs of my own."

Your voice was raspy, you seldom spoke in the first place "All over Synn you fool!" The Muse exclaimed " Though, They are often hoarded by powerful beings . Do what you do best, slaughter them to better yourself. Don't you dare and bring them to that insolent vermin who...uses them in his so called recipes! Bah! I'll burn this heap if i have to!"

You didn't know who she was referring to. Pillars of black fire rose from the floor around the mirror. Ser Lillian had to calm her down a bit "I'll explain later." She whispered.

You had one more question to ask though the muse's flaring temper proved to be difficult to approach " Who you are?"

She had to be somewhat related to either the sanctuary itself or this tower. That is your assumption at least " My past is enshrouded in dark clouds. A god breathed life into me , that is certain for a humiliating purpose. Birthing Snakes, vile, prowling , ravenous... have no remorse in murdering my children. It is their fault being so weak and pathetic. Mind the feathered ones , Their death brings the worst of my god."

The mirror was starting to get more dull "Off you go...I hate to miss my beauty sleep. Come back when you have an egg or a seed." with that said, the mirror turned completely black.

"So you can talk, huh? I thought your band of assassins cut your tongue."

"I am a man of few words." Perhaps she will get the message. You have your doubts.

Your next stop was another locked stone door of simpler design "This was once the direct way to the depth below. I had to lock it to halt a madman from breaking into the sanctuary." She pressed her ear against the wall gesturing you to do the same " Do you hear that?"

You heard heavy breathing combined with a slurping sound " He has struck a deal with B'aholath, she had cursed him after he attempted to seed her. The fool. I lost the keys myself, can you pick that lock ?"

You shook your head." There is another way below but if we managed to open this door. I will stand by your side against him. You have my word, he is not to be trifled with..."

Just up ahead was a giant stone golem stirring an equally sized pot. He had all sorts of ingredients around him, the large ladle he stirred food with was serrated on the sides. On his right side were his club and various hooks. Next to him was a small child doing what she could to help him. Her humming stopped as she laid her eyes on you quickly scurrying back to the giant golem. She was rightfully scarred of you.

"This is Garr and Ritual Child Buresé. " She introduced them to you "She is the one wh-"

"Hmm? Who are you ? I cook. You harm little girl?"

"Shinies? Does he mean coins?"

"Yes, we use coins here just like the surface. They are for the occasional Automatons who are only allowed to 'trade' with the Denizens of Synn. There are few functioning stations where you can utilize their services. The closest one is on the third floor ." She stated.

"No Shinies?" You shook your head "Shame. Come with Shinies, friend." He was still eyeing every single movement of yours as he kept stirring his pot. Buresé is still hiding from your sight. "Here is the pit, a giant hole lathed with diseases . Garr is the only one who will remain unscathed during his descend. Stay away from it ."

The final stop was an altar with various shrines in different states of disrepair and decay. "We used to have..."

Her voice began to fade, something was calling you behind these walls.

You take a deep breath. The stone words coming out of your mouth are an unholy amalgamation of clicks, short growls and other guttural sounds.

Ser Lillian was rightfully puzzled, you had little time to explain this daunting process. Your words were heeded by hundreds of these things, you couldn't see them but you could hear them crying in unison " Master! Master! You beckoned us! We are so lonely. Let us help you , glorious Master! Do you love us?"

The wall before was split open, the stone blocks were literally eaten to nothing. A secret room.

"I have never this before, Shadow. " The woman was in awe. It was soon to dissipate due to the unbearable stench inside.

The room had strings of sickly flesh all over it. A man and a woman, both entwined together on a stone bed in a literal sense; you could tell which is which by their genitals which remained intact during this abominable fusion. Their glass eyes were fixed upon a shrine bearing a symbol of a seven fingered hand .

Barring that, there was a small chest to the right which had a growing mass of flesh over it and an ominous lever to the left with a patch of skin wrapped around the handle. The words ' DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT...' were written on it.

Again you brought their attention with your voice " Master! Master! You beckoned us! We burrow in stone and listen! We listen to their cries, their moans and their last breath! Desperate, It was too much for them. They hide like we do. They hide the Shrine of Valtaa-Mer . Father of B'aholath. Old god, Master! Very, Very Old. We are scared! Do you love us, Master? Are we good children? "

You clutched your head; their cries are like a mallet hammering the back of your mind. You noticed some of the fleshy strings inching towards the exit. The Knight noticed that as well "I sense no good coming out of this. It must be sealed again and forgotten. I will allow nothing to endanger sanctuary "

You trust not the old gods and their schemes to retake back the surface. You agreed to help for your own sake.

Stone was aplenty, you started to do your part. The golem did glance at your work in silence but chose to keep an eye on his bubbling pot. He did allow the knight to borrow some of his oil. She splashed it all over before setting it on fire as a precaution against the fleshy growth. The little girl was more curious, she watched you both .

>Hunger: 56/100

It took you a couple of hours to seal this room twice. You sat next to Ser Lillian, drenched in sweat "There, You have done the sanctuary a great service. I have seen my share of cultists and rituals. This...this simply had evil written all over it. Here, A toast for our good health!"

The knight of Mondee brought a small cup of bubbling blue drink. You were in no condition to say no. It had a sugary taste to it, pleasant.

"You didn't tell me how did you find this room, Shadow. I have been stuck here for years, never to notice it. "

"..."

"Well, My advice is not to let your sense of curiosity overwhelm you. Like this room, there are many secrets that are best buried." She finished her drink "I'll speak to the Buresé, she will open the door for you..."

The Knight gestured at the altar "In you meantime, you can rest here or you can pray to one of the shrines If you are the religious type."

Come to think of it, you have seen these sorts of altars before, most notably in Yerim with her endless swathes of deserts. They offer a brief respite for weary travelers, It does take some time to re-use the altar so one must be rather selective in doing so.

There were various shrines to choose from. All of them were of the newer gods, those who have ascended beyond their mortal coil during the new order. You do know that the more devoted you are to a certain god, the more benefit you will reap from your prayer. Not all of the gods had a shrine. Strange.

>Torch (50 steps)

You approached said path with caution, Darkness swallowed everything before you. The extend of the torch which you had equipped to your right hand is minuscule, barely few feet ahead of you. Thankfully, Sanctuary itself is free of such crushing, sanity-devouring darkness.

The flickering light brought unsettling silhouettes of decomposing corpses, The merged couple from earlier were a clear testament of Synn and its laws defying that of the surface. You shouldn't take everything for granted in this place.

These corpses - once violated and now discarded- act as a grim reminder for those who consider tempting their fates here. Some were still oozing thick blood and pus from their orifices as if they were perished hours ago.

You can't rule out the possibility of catching something out of this red mire. Your clothes might prevent some diseases but not all. You ought to balance between haste and recklessness. In the future, you might seek more protective garments.

You took squishy steps forwards, their bones are soft as butter, these corpses lose any composure the had with the slightest touch. One of them had a rather pleasant surprise...

You have found a small pouch with 17 copper coins.

You stopped next to an unlit brazier with still red oil forming strange faces all withering in agony. These face seems to yearn for the fire of your torch. If you only had Something to fill this strange liquid with . To your right was an unknown plant growing out of a blackened corpse bearing a bulbous red fruit with no apparent smell. How could it grow in the darkness?

Your grip on your dagger tightens as you heard a wheezing sound stemming from the pitch black darkness in front of you. Looks like there is a large This can't be the Warden. It suited more for a mindless foe content to live the rest of its miserable life without a spark of dark. The air here grows still and humid, you hear the sound of water trickling from above , chains rattling and uneven steps splashing through some liquid.

The withering faces almost doused the flame of your torch as they continued to burn in happiness and glee. A Blazing crimson sun is born illuminating what lied ahead.

Your actions has increased your affinity towards an unknown god in Synn

There was no need for the torch at the moment. The red light has exposed a half sunken prison area already in ruins. It had similar architecture to the Sanctuary. Why would these dark pilgrims have a use for so many cells?

Judging by the corpses chained to the walls, this thick red muck can reach up to your knees, maybe beyond that even. There used to be an second floor but it had collapsed at some time. There are a few promising ledges leading to what was left of the second floor but they are impossible to reach from where you are standing.

It was nothing, at least this one had to decency wear some tattered clothes. In hindsight, she appears to be way less hazardous than the first one allowing you to thoroughly search her without fearing for your life.

You have found an empty vial

You have found a book ' On Modern Machinations of Ewenurin Vol. IV '

Ewenurin? Yes, the fabled kingdom, deep in the mountains of the south. No one has actually seen them. Many diplomats, spies and the likes of you have tried but all have failed. Only their Automatons, handle any interactions with other nations; they are pure isolationist. Even the greatest minds of Mondee couldn't figure out how to replicate their wonders. They will follow the scent of coins, the greedy lots. No wonder they deployed their toys in the most dangerous dungeon in the world. Some say they are responsible for the evergrowing plague , you wouldn't rule it out. An acceptable assumption instead of ' a curse of the old gods'

Now how could a lowly husk like this came into possession of such a prized book? You may never know.

Perhaps you were a bit hasty to outright pursue the Warden. Is the other path as perilous? You should explore this area as well.

With no Imminent danger in the horizon, You opened the hard-covered book stained with the red muck. Luckily, the pages are as good as they day they were written. Alas, you are not Intelligent enough to unlock the real secrets behind it. Nothing but scientific gibberish you could not comprehend. You will have to resort to either the muse strengthening your mind or a scholar of sorts .

With no light harassing it, That Wingless Palata has returned from underground still flaunting the whole world with its colourful sacs. Ser Lillian was cleaning her greatsword, a freshly disembowel corpse was next to her bearing some similarities to the prolapsed you encountered from earlier.

Garr was hauling a gigantic bird-like creature with breasts and a broken neck, a bright yellow harpy who had a faint halo of light around her twisted head. He dropped her hard on the floor, ready to pluck her. The Ritual child on the other hand was playing with pebbles pretending to be dolls. Anything will do for a child, their sea of imagination will drive them to joy. The Muse was singing in an unknown language, giving no regards to the few inhabitants of Sanctuary.

One of you hair snake has crossed its glassy confines only to swallow the seed. The Muse bit her lips, her eyes rolled backwards "Ahhh yes~. Bring more of these and you will be equally rewarded. I...i am too sensitive for idle chatter. Go and be a burden on someone else."

Once more, the mirror went dull. While the book was easier to interpret, it still had its share of secrets. The book focused on various traps installed by a sentient automaton here in Synn as a part of some ancient agreement. You couldn't delve further.

you are now longer suffering from being poisoned

"You missed the fun, Shadow. This fresh one crawled out of the portal circle, he didn't up much of a fight. How in the blazes did he manage to use one in this sorry state?" The woman notices your pallid face "You are injured ,shadow, perhap-"

"I require no aid." You won't stand her pitying you " Tell me about the brute's catch."

"Oh." The Knight went silent for a moment "Garr hunts all colours of beasts from the darkest depths of Synn. If it has flesh, it can be cooked. He never disappoints. I think he is more gentle towards women . Had it not been for him, we all would have been starved to death long ago."

The sound of his meat cleaver chopping this dazzling flesh echoed in the air " He has a big belly, I know little of harpies myself. As you know, Mondee is devoid of any mystical creature. Know this, wherever there are harpies in Synn, there is a dragon nearby worshiped and venerated. You should talk to Garr, he caught many before."

You went to the golem who didn't acknowledge your presence until you stood before his kill "Hmm? Friend? I busy. Meat to chop. Meat to season. Hungry."

"What is this?" You have seen harpies before, they are a common nuisance for travelers in Yerim but none has rivaled this monstrous size. This one had rays of sharp teeth combined with a long golden tongue. The ones on the surface are scavengers and thieves. If they are lucky, they would snatch a child from a careless mother, thats it.

"This is a Harpy," he replied "Big and Shiny Harpy. Floor Twenty . Good Chest meat but hard to kill. Coffin Big woman god of guidy guidy is shiny. Shiny light make Harpy more delicious and talky."

The Golem continues to chop the meat to tinier bit with great precision " I give food for little girl, Knight girl. Glass girl no want food. Tickles me with funny fire and call me bad names.. You no girl, you give shiny for help, friend."

Garr proceeded to coat one of the gigantic feathers with a sparkling resin which began to solidify in a mere moments. The golem began to reshape it with his delicate fingers forming a large cleaver "Here, Chop-Chop will help friend."

You have been given a weapon: Golden Harpy Cleaver (150-200 damage)

Once you have gotten hold of said weapon, you fell down with it on the floor; it was astronomically heavy requiring immense strength to wield it properly. Is this some sort of a cruel joke?

Regardless, You dragged this thing along with you refusing to wait for the golem to call you weak or any of this infantile-like blabber. He was too busy anyway with the harpy, he better give you a serving when he is done.

You heard someone knocking to your right. It was that little girl, the dark one. She kept gently tapping on the wall you have sealed with the knight, overridden by curiosity, that one.

"A god in... blue?" The knight of Mondee had a puzzled look on her face "I haven't heard of one, not from the new gods anyway."

"An Old God?"

"Most likely, yes." Ser Lillian checked her blade for any smudge of blood "We have plenty of these in Synn. Some are dead, others continue to scheme in their crypts. There was a Historian named Galidako who wanted to fully document all of old gods. You can try and look for him...or his corpse. Why are you asking?"

"..." Stating your intent might compromise your mission. You remained silent waiting for the giant oaf to finish preparing the harpy.

Hours later, The whole sanctuary had a most divine smell. Once Garr has rang a small bell, Both the little girl and the knight approached the stone golem.

"Thank you , Mister Garr!" The Cook lowered his stone forehead for an innocent kiss "Little girl happy. I happy."

Roasted Golden flesh coated with a butter of sorts with a circle of sauteed vegetables and mushrooms. The plate was bigger than the child's head. Next up was the knight who were treated equally , she bowed instead "Iron girl happy, I help anytime."

You stepped in afterwards reaching for an empty plate when his hand formed a wall around his tableware "Friend, Give Shiny first. fifty shiny for harpy "

Bastard! You did retain your anger "I have seventeen coin, what do i get?"

"Hmm, little shiny, little food." He had the following to offer

Gorgo minced tongue (5 hunger, 5 health, 5 coins)
A petrified tongue of a Gorgo, an evolved stone parasite who can possess small statues. Treated in special fire to be edible. Can cure petrification in its early stage.

Bi-ul Pie (15 Hunger, 10 health, -10 fear, 10 coins)

While you did disarm the trap, you rendered one of its hinges useless. However, you managed to take the mysterious black vial with you. You won't have to watch your steps here at least.

You have found an unknown black vial

Just a few feet after the trap was a jester's cap . You swore you heard muffled laughs slipping from the painfully coloured cap. A mismatch of bright yellow , green and red. You hate everything about Jesters. Fools parading idiocy and malignancy. You choked the life out of one who kept making sorry jokes at your expense. You'll do a thousand time more.

Barring that,The corridor splits into two paths, one was quite narrow even for your nimble body, the other one had a simple wooden door riddled with holes, the wall before it had countless bolts pinned to it, some were stained with dry blood.

A Jester, Damnable one with a curtain of swords and daggers dangling from his cloak. Like a drizzling chameleon , the colour of his attire continues to change colours in a flash. Without a single thought, you charged with your blades primed for his neck.

*SHINK*
"WHOA, WATCH IT, HOHO!"

*SHLANCK
"TOO SLOW, HEHEHE."

Every single slash and swipe cut through thin air, his body continues to unnaturally bend away from your daggers. "You are a bad Joke, Teehee. Try harder!"

>Hunger 24/100

You know not how much time has passed. Exhausted and drenched in your sweat, you are ashamed to be bested by a walking macabre. He didn't seem to retaliate though "Satisfied? You my friend have A LOT of anger and frustration. You'll die young an-"

"Shut up." You went for his neck when he let his guard down. The Jester squeezed his neck out of your iron gasp, his flattened head returned to normal a moment later "I have terrible, terrible news for you: I can not die. It is a cruel joke from my god but hey, what can i do about it? Heheheh. Damn silly me! You don't even know my name do you ?"

"..."

"I am Jester Deoih, a not-so-loyal servant for my master. Gommurah , the trickster old god. Here is a trivia for you, did you know that he is the only god who bargained with the hellbablab or whatever her name is? He willingly chose to go to Synn."

The Jester wrapped his arm around you "I, My Grumpy friend, i am a walking treasure filled with whatever your heart desire....at a cost. A bargain, A game of chance! Hohoho, do you trust your luck?" He leaped in the air dancing and prancing like the fool he is "Coins! Coins and Caps! Or... Blood! Blood and caps!"

He threw five crackers on the floor each spawning a different Jester " Try your luck, you won't regret it, Isn't that right, Margret?" He pulled out a special dagger which continued to laugh with him "Five coins or a gentle cut for a chance to win a prize! I'll even stack the odds toward your favor because i am a VERY generous man."

"You look rather grim, i wonder why~ ?" The Muse mocked your collapsing body "Shape up, I say! Countless trials awaits your hideous face. Are you here to bask in my might or to lust for my supple breasts? Ho ho ho~" She squeezed her chest behind the mirror teasing you with her tongue.

Her mirror grew dull like before. You focused your attention on the book of traps, its bulbous words are much easier to understand. Their traps which are far more complex to be disarmed manually could be vocally disabled it seems. There were also another set of commands for lesser forms of automatons, specifically to those who set the traps themselves. Interesting.

A horrible smell assaults your senses as the eye lantern continues spoil, It still emits lights, barely enough for you to hold this soon-to-be rotten mesh.

You walked in to a large cell with no door, you were stepping on grey hair, shriveled with demonic eyes surrounded by black puddles of floating blood. They all lead to a corpse of a woman chained by dozens of magical tethers. She had two glowing blue daggers buried deep in her eyes. Her lifeless face speaks of immeasurable pain etched on her gaping mouth. Countless screams she must have cried.

You could disturb these chains. In actuality, these are naught but strands of enchanted silk, bolstered by mages of old. You see no reason to though.

The simple act of touching these daggers has soothed your aching body ever so slightly. However, no matter how hard you try to pull them off, they remain where they are.

Then suddenly, a lifeless grasp reaches for your hands. You back away in an instant watching the corpse coming back to life, the silent demonic eyes of her hair flared wide open absorbing all of the blood nearby. For a single minute, stood before you a woman of unparalleled beauty, soft skin, black wavery hair, fresh plump lips, fingers delicate as a flower....

Then it all faded back. The hair is grey. the skin is pale with shadows of pulsating black veins, the lips are dried and crackled, a shadow of her former self.

"P...please, whoever you...are. Touch this desolate flesh..." The chained woman begged, trembling. She extended her arm to your general direction, black sand falling from her mouth with every word.

The worldbuilding was fine. There were some grammar/punctuation errors but I can overlook those. The maps were a little confusing since there was no indication of which symbol meant what.
