You pat your pouch again before finding your hand on an EMP before taking a second to glance over it’s black studded surface to find the activation button. You click it once and a satisfying beep sounds out before you toss the small dot into the room and rolling back to take cover by the entrance of the door. After you hear a burst of electricity sizzling within the room, you swivel back around to find two droids staring at the other one convulsing on the ground and with four direct and consecutive hits you mark both droids in blue. The last doors you can remember lead out to a hallway which connects the last few rooms.

The white door slides open slowly revealing four droids standing awkwardly with their blasters lowered. You kick one of the droids in the chest before you raise your blaster having Bim already fire two in the chest of the farthest to the right. You drop to a semi-couched position before you fire a contained burst into the legs of one of the droids to the left before swiveling your blaster to meet another in the chest. The two of you move to the right side of the arena and take stage at the door with a small nod of the head Bim slams his hand onto the door’s controls and it slides open before he turns the corner fires six consecutive shots into the room. You peer through to find a small room with two small raised blocks of gray checkered flooring sitting in the center along with three droids hunched over them in defeat. The two of you make your way to the next door before opening it, Bim checks his pouch for an EMP and gives you a nod. You open the door and quickly raise your blaster and Bim goes to throw his EMP before stopping and putting it away. “Clear.”

The two of you exit the room and backtrack through the hallway to find the doors. The two of you gather at the right hand door. “Alright. There are two more rooms, this one and the next. Then the exit.”

You nod before Bim opens the door and tosses in an EMP. You swivel over with a raised Blaster and spot two convulsing droids standing in the middle of the room. Directly in front of the door is a small raised block and two more in an “L” shape in the middle. The two remaining groups of three droids are too busy staring at their droid comrades fry and don’t notice you yet. You stand in the entrance of the room to the far left with Bim standing behind you.

Welcome to Sons of Kamino! This quest will be founded within the canon material but it will not totally stick to it strictly. I'll take material from EU, 4Chan (previous Quests), and of course Headcanon. I have a twitter and it's found at @KovQM . I will not be using the discord app in conjunction to the thread due to I'd rather keep discussion in the thread but I will be having off-quest questions at the end of each session.

Oh I'm also assuming you're going to try to fire at the droids in front of you as well so I'll tie that into the action chain.

“Time’s up,” You say and before Bim could respond you lower your blaster and back up slightly to start a sprint through the door. Half way through the door you drop your frame down to a slide with your knees bent and your right arm raised with blaster in hand with your left arm guiding your fall until you slide quietly up against the barricade with your unclean armor none the worse. You sit up and adjust having just slammed into the side of a barricade and raise your blaster to level with your targets.

Rising slowly, you peer above the blocky gray checkered barricade and poke your blaster over to find none of the droids were looking your way. You smile a bit and aim your blaster to the nearest droid you find.

“On my mark.” You comm over before firing a single round into the chest of the droid directly in front of you which was too busy watching the ground for another black sphere to appear.

“What?” Bim comms over obviously confused in what you’re doing and just fires blindly into the center group drawing their attention. You duck as one of the rounds splatter itself onto the barricade before returning fire to the other group.

“Bim, get over here!” You wave over to your squadmate before returning your gaze back to the center cluster of droids. There would have been five if Bim hadn’t thrown in the EMP earlier. You raise your blaster as you cover fire for Bim to slide over to you allowing both of you to stay together. The three droids sway nervously as you look between each of their robotic faces. You, like a turret, swivel your blaster to meet the droid standing to the left and you begin to dispense the Republic’s blue candy.

Two bolts of blue spew from the barrel before slamming into the chest of the droid and as it falls you get out another one off its dome. Then, like reading a book, you move left to right switching to the next one over. Two stray rounds of orange disperses harmlessly against the floor of the room as you exchange your own bolts squarely into the droid’s center, crippling it. The one on the far right tries helplessly to fire its own blaster before it meets your gaze. You slightly move dodging the incapacitating rounds as you aim your blaster. Three rounds burst from your blaster before sending the droid reeling back into a crumpled heap of grayish metal.

“Clear left, Monk.” All the while, Bim clears the remaining droid standing opposite of the barricade. You turn to see his brow raised slightly before smirking. “Well, you need to use a D15S more often. You seem to have a hang of the thing.”

“Not my thing, Bim,” You say as you stand up surveying the downed droids before motioning to the door at the opposite end. “Last room.”

The two of you move over to the door and before either of you opens the door Bim checks his pouches and signals he’s out of EMPs. You nod solemnly before taking the entrance breaching position. Placing your open palm against the controls the door slides open to another room. The droids are split into three groups, four in the center with a square of barricades and two droids to each group on the sides patrolling. You guess they haven’t yet spotted you since you don’t feel the burning sensation of a round to the dome. The room is almost split into two with barricades except for the square center and the two gaps at the top of the room and the bottom of the room with you being near the bottom facing into only one side.

“Alright, Bim, I’m going to need you to cover me while I get to the first set of barricades,” You say as to point over to where you intend to slide to. Bim nods and readies his blaster as you prepare a sprinting start. You back up slowly before sprint forward and drop to the floor before entering the room sliding across silently into the barricade. From what you could tell, you still haven’t been noticed and so you adjust yourself as you sit up to asses the situation you’re in. You figured you would have came up with a plan by the time you slid over to the barricades but you raise your blaster and look around.

The four in the center seem to be staring out in different directions and the two groups are still walking around the square. You’re inside the opening of the barricades that splits the room up and with the two droids moving clockwise you guess there are about twenty seconds before they are where you are. You look to Bim and he nods without you saying anything as he raises his blaster and fires directly into the center group causing the droids to scatter and the patrols to break. The group that was about to get to you simply moves away and chases after Bim.

You furrow your brow as you look back to the groups, the center group is telling the other patrol group something but you can’t make it out.

Sorry, getting distracted.

You shake your head before raising your blaster to the unknowing droids in the circle. You wait a few seconds as the patrol droids snap and march toward the door. You sigh and stand quickly raising your blaster to meet the droids ahead of you. They stand staring in different directions before one of them points to you and shouts gathering their attention to you.

Three bolts of orange ping around your frame as you aim your blaster on the first droid. You squeeze slightly before a burst of blue spews from your barrel and spins out missing the droid and dissipating onto the barricade. You drop down and press your back against the block of gray checkered floor. You breathe in deeply and sigh loudly before you take a minute to think to yourself.

With a new plan in mind, you stand and ready yourself to sprint. Your muscles tense up as you put yourself into a crouched position and quickly release in a burst of speed springing you forward into a sprint. Three orange bolts spin past your frame as you jump onto the barricade separating the room. The first droid raises its blaster level with your charging form. Each separate movements feel like slow motion as the droid squeezes the trigger of the blaster and like a slow balloon the round squeezes out of the barrel, exploding and expanding it moves toward you. Each second feels like a minute as your muscles sprint forward to the droids and seconds before the orange projectile slips past your chest missing you entirely.

Taking your blaster in hand you swing it like a bat, you twist your body and toss the small carbine blaster into the droids before leaping forward into the center. Two of the droids jump back in surprise as you tackle another to the ground and the fourth is pinned with your blaster against its chest. Rising up you grab onto one of the standing droids blaster and pull forward and with a yelp the droid falls face first into the other.

You stand victorious in the center of four broken droids.

“Bim, check your fire. I’m going to draw the clankers attention,” You comm over and wait for a response as you check your blaster again. Looks busted from what you can tell now you look at it. The wire to the side looks frayed and the barrel looks slightly bent.

“Alright.. What do you have in mind?” Bim comms over after he fires a few rounds at the droids closest to him.

“I’ll charge the L barricade, get into some good ole’ fisticuffs with them. Take them by surprise while you take out the ones nearest to you,” You say as you toss down your blaster to the side. “Sound good.”

“Sounds bad, but I got nothing,” Bim replies giving the greenlight on your plan.

You again assume the sprinter's position, tensing up your muscles and binding them up before leaping into a long stride forward. Gathering speed, you jump into the air bringing your legs in front of you to meet the droids in a drop kick. Your legs spring up and level with the chest of a droid as you slam into the one on the right. As you drop the other droid swivels on its heels to meet the sound of a clone crashing into a droid. You quickly scramble to your feet before taking the stance of a boxer.

The droid twists its upper body and as it extends its right arm for a nasty straight aimed at your head. You, instead of collapsing onto the clanker’s arm, drop down and with your weight adjusted onto your arm you extend your leg out and kick at the joints of the droid dropping it down with you. You spring forward and grab a blaster. Jumping onto the droid and saddling him, you bring down the butt of the blaster to the face of the droid with enough force to incapacitate a brother. The droid's head reels back in simulated pain as it drops and ceases to function. You gather yourself and claim one of the droid’s blasters as your own.

You pop your head over the block of gray and peer across the room to find two more down droids, courtesy of Bim. He leaves the safety of his retreat and steps out from the doorway to see your helmeted head poking out from behind the cover. “Well, I guess your plan worked after all. I’ll have to hand it to you.”

“Blaster broke. I had to think of something,” You say with a shrug as you drop the reclaimed blaster.

“I’m not too sure if I want to hear how that happened,” Bim says as he jogs up to you and helps you stand up. He checks his own blaster and counts his ammo before moving past and opening the door again. “Well.. we should get going, can’t leave our good friends waiting too long for our return.”

“Agreed,” You say simply as you nod and follow Bim to the exit. The two of you open the door and leave the area unscathed as you find the elevator to the viewing room.

“You think we did good? I thought it went by pretty fast, probably faster than Jeagar, or maybe even Stu and Klo,” Bim says as he tries to make elevator small talk. You were never that great at small talk but you always tried to talk with Bim whenever he tries his own hand at it.

“It felt like ages to me. Honestly felt like a weeks in that arena,” You say somewhat exaggerating the event. Though you knew it did feel longer than it should have, you’re just relieved it’s over and you’re not pressured into having to try to impress Stu or a trainer. The elevator slides to a stop before Bim has time to reply as the doors slide silently open to the room of the four troopers standing around the circular table replaying a few bits of the fight. Stu looks up at the two of you and shakes his head a bit before removing his helmet. His faded hair cut to perfection by the barbers provided by the Kaminoans and his face growing a short beard makes his military personality that of someone who has ran long campaigns in the outer rim sieges.

“Well, I suppose that was impressive in a way,” Stu says as he places his helmet onto the table. “But at the last room, Monk, you should never lose the sole of a solider. You may have been able to asses the situation in an impromptu style but if these were droids under the command of a T-series Tactical droid you would have had no chance to fully understand the situation before the droids got a drop on you. Bim, never try to split up your team. Your doing so put Monk in a position which he had to react in a drastic way.”
The six clones look at each other for a moment before Stu speaks up again. “Though I have to say that was some damn fine fighting the two of you performed. Monk, I wouldn’t of pinned you for QCQ and Bim, I thought you were just going to be another rank and file brother. Get some rest and chow. We will be working from sunup to sundown tomorrow. I’ll have a list of things each of you will have to perform and I expect each of you to do it well.”

Alright time to break down the EXP.
You gained: M +3, A +2, P +3, S +2, and U +1
Multiplier: X2
Critical: M X2, U X1

= M +12, A +4, P +6, S +4, U +1

(letter) (Skill) (Current)
F ----- first Aid ---------- 1 ----- (1/5)
O ----- operating ------- 1 ----- (1/5)
C ----- command ------- 2 ----- (1/25)
M --- marksmanship -- 2 ----- (12/25)
A ---- acrobatics ------- 2 ----- (4/25)
P ----- pugilism -------- 1 ----- (6/5)
S ----- stealth ---------- 2 ----- (4/25)

U ----- Unlock ---------- 0 ----- (1/100)

Multiplies are earned through specific events. Kamino its one of them along with a trainer. Multipliers multiply the amount of EXP you earn for a sequence which in total allows for you to gain levels faster.
Criticals put a multiplier for the specific skill the dice was rolled on and if you get two criticals then you get a X2, 3 crits = X3 and so on.

“Yeah I’ll join,” Klo says with a sigh before rubbing his back a bit and stretching. “What about you, Monk?”

“I’m in. Just need to get out of this gear,” You say as you knock a fist against your cadet training uniform.

Jeagar walks up to you and breathes in quickly like he’s smelling you before he plugs his nose and waves a hand around. “You sure do, Monk. You sure you’re not “Skunk” instead?”

You smile, grimacing, at Jeagars poor joke as he laughs to himself before waving the two of you to follow. You look back to Stu who leans over the table looking at the footage comparing it with something else. Best to leave him be, you think to yourself before turning back to your squadmates. “No, it wasn’t a.. a.. Aiwha. It was something bigger.. I saw it flying above Tipoca. The beastie covered the sky!”

Jeagar makes movements with his hands trying to explain what he saw the other day. He’s been on about the same thing for a few days now though none of you believe him and mess with him about seeing fantasy creatures flying in the sky. You shake your head and place them in your hands before Klo grabs Jeagar around the shoulders and makes a broad wave with his hand as he speaks. “It’s not that we don’t care. It’s that we think you’re crazy. It’s probably just one of the native fish flying about when you were running around that night.”

The three of you make it to the bunks with Bim’s bunk closed with a red light softly glowing. You find your locker and open it to find a set of red cadet clothes freshly cleaned. You take the helmet from under your arms and place it on the top shelf as you place the tunic across your body and turn to your brothers who are in various stages of undressed. “What do you guys think? My style right?”

You strip the armor off of you along with the eco-suit before placing the red tunic over you. You finish dressing before turning back to your brothers who are in similar shape as you and you nod as you finish buttoning the top button on your tunic. You follow them into the large amphitheater like room for a mess hall. The three of you grab a silver-white tray at the beginning of the meal line. “I wonder what will we have today? Tasteless white blob with nutrient paste soup and mineral juice? Or maybe it’s Tasteless white blob with nutrient paste soup and mineral juice?”

“I think I know the answer to that one,” The clone serving the food pipes up as he hands Jeagar a white bowl of brown paste and a plate with a white jello-like gelatinous blob sitting in the center. “Eat up boys, you’re gunna love what’s on the menu tomorrow.”

The three of you slide the trays to the end before looking around the large crowded room. The three of you find a table with several others sitting along the long rectangular table with some room to squeeze into. You sit on the opposite end of Jeagar and Klo and begin eating. Tasteless blobs aren’t the worst you can imagine.

>>What do you do?
>”Where do you guys think Thyck went off to?”
>”What about this Aiwha?”
>”This isn’t the worst food out there.”
>”Jeagar, you were pretty good with a blaster back there. When did you have the time to learn how to do that without us?”
>”Klo, why don’t you and Thyck ever see eye to eye? Seems like a nice guy.”

You sit for a few seconds and eat some of the grub on your plate. Your short metal fork scraping off some of the blob and mixing it with the paste. “Klo, what’s with Thyck? He’s acting weird all of a sudden, always angry, and you guys never see eye to eye on things. I remember when he was always the nicest of the bunch here.”

“Thyck?” Jeagar says as he raises a his fork and points it at you. “He’s mad because he didn’t leave with the rest of our brothers. Honestly I’m mad too, I think we all are.”

“Monk, to understand Thyck is to understand yourself,” Klo cuts in as he makes wide dramatic hand gestures. “Thyck is just that. He’s thick headed. Stubborn to all and he’s got a problem with those he’s not. I think he just wants to bump head to bump them. I got nothing against the guy, he’s a brother after all, but I just don’t get along with someone who constantly tries to undermine me and the mission.”

“I’m not sure. Thyck was always the one to count on. Besides, he’s always trying to do the right thing even if you don’t see it,” Jeagar states before returning to his food.

“Jeagar, why do you think Thyck got downed today?” You ask before you take a sip of the juice.

“Impatience. He wanted to get through it the quickest,” Jeagar states. “I did too. Probably something about proving something. I don’t know, the guy barely talks. Kinda like you, actually… except for maybe today. Chattiest you’ve been.”

“Just nervous,” you say. The three of you return to silently eating their food. You’re still trying to get through the blob though but you see Klo already finished and seems a bit unrestful.

>>What do you do?
>”Any idea where we’ll be stuck to when we get out of here?”
>”What’s on your mind?”
>”Well. I’m finished. I think I’ll head out.” (where would you go?)
>”Who do you guys think we should shadow under next?”

You look at the two identical clones one with a stubble similar to your own and the other with a stylized pomadore. Jeagar and Klo sit across from yourself as you place your fork down and look between them. Klo is the first to notice you watching them and raises his brow before you returns your gaze. “What?”

“You got something bothering you, Klo?” You ask as you rub your head as you look at his own styled hair. You could probably pull that off. You never tried anything else than shaving your hair off. You furrow your brow as you think but you don’t really notice it yourself.

“Nothing’s on my mind,” Klo says as he looks back at his plate. “Thyck isn’t the worst, ya know?”

“It’s just..” His voice trails off as he looks around the cafeteria. All brothers, all family. You look at his face trying to read what he’s thinking as his face contorts into a solemn frown. He seems to be a bit disappointed himself. You’re not sure about what but you know it wouldn’t be good to stay on the topic for long. “Well. The next trainer should be something we should be thinking about. From what I can tell the Rancor Battalion seems to be interested in our progression. Stu, Blitz, Colt, Havoc, and Hammer all would probably be up to train us, though I haven’t seen the latter two.”

“I would personally like to see more of Colt’s training regime. ARCs are probably our ticket to the best corps the republic can afford us -- 501st. I’m dead set on those guys. You hear about some of the things Rex has done? Amazing,” Jeagar says as he perks up from his nearly empty plate of food. “Colt or continue with Stu. Blitz would be great to shadow for some time but he’s a bit of a hardcase when it comes to training.”

“You already know my answer,” Klo says looking out before he turns back to face you. “El-Les or Bric. Bounty hunters were here to train us and have been doing a fine job… but I was also thinking of getting to know Shaak Ti. Her insight in how jedi operate would help. I mean from what I know, you’re the most like any jedi we’ve read in books, Monk.”

“Yeah except for the space magic and cult worship that they do,” Jeagar scoffs.

You laugh at the two of them before shoving your tray their way and standing up. “Well. I think I’m done eating. Do you guys want to.. “

>>What do you do?
>”.. Hit the bunks? I’m exhausted from today. Stu’s a piece of work.”
>”.. Try to find Thyck?”
>”.. Go looking for some of those guys? I bet Shaak isn’t hard to find.”
>”.. Go somewhere? It’s sickening me getting stuffed up here.”
>”.. (Write-in)”
