>Information

This quest takes place long before the events of The Last Airbender. Long before Aang, Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, or Yangchen. You play as a young Earthbender from a small village in one of the many Kingdoms scattered across the main continent. As a powerful villain strives to dominate the world, you will be forced to make choices that can stop it, aid it, or have no effect whatsoever.

>Rules

After each update I make, there will be a voting period of ten minutes. Once ten minutes have passed, whatever option has the most support will be the winner.

Write-ins are accepted, but only when specified If you see a write-in option, suggest whatever you like. If not, choose from the options I have provided.

Sometimes, rolls will be required. I will assign them, and they will operate under a d100 system. You will have three chances, and if one of the rolls succeeds, you pass. There are no crits, but I do take into account how much you succeed or fail by.

I reserve the right to veto certain write-ins, but will try to avoid doing so.

I hope you all have fun

Let the sadism commence

It's time.

After many days of travel, and two life-or-death situations, your team has finally finished its journey across the plains. The vast mountain range, within which lies the Northern Air Temple, is finally in sight.

And, sitting just before the mountains is the village you have been searching for.

The difference in the appearance of the village compared to how it was depicted on the map gets your attention immediately. On your map, it seemed little more than a tiny collection of small buildings, making your own village appear massive by comparison.

But, what you see here is an impressive-looking settlement boasting strong and sturdy looking structures, many of which appear to have been constructed only recently. The amount of people you see milling about also far exceeds your expectations, and you find yourself wondering just how up-to-date your own map was.

If the difference surprises the others, it doesn't seem to bother them. Mauya gives a relieved smile, clearly overjoyed to be back in some semblance of civilization.

"So, what do you say we stay here for a night or two?" the Waterbender suggests hopefully.

"I don't think that's such a good idea," Lantana tells her. "There's no telling when that hunter will catch up with us again."

"Isn't that all the reason to stay here, then?" Mauya asks. "Safety in numbers?"

"The people here do not appear to be warriors," Sansha remarks, studying those that make their way around the village. "If we are forced to fight, they won't be of much help. Odds are they'll get in the way, and many of them will be hurt."

Lantana gives an agreeing nod. "Right. So, whatever we do, let's try not to stay for too long."

>A. You should see if there are any Airbenders around; one could fly you to the Temple

>B. Ask if she thinks bringing Pengsong into the village is a good idea

You agree that staying around the village for too long would be a bad idea, but also wonder if hiking through the mountains is the best idea. You recall hearing that Airbenders sometimes visit this village to train, and you suggest that perhaps you could find an Airbender to take your group to the temple.

"That sure sounds better than walking there," Mauya comments agreeably. "And the faster we move, the more distance we can put between ourselves and the guy following us."

"That's a good point," Sansha tells her. "The longer we can delay fighting him again, the more time we'll have to prepare."

"That sounds good," Lantana says, though you note some uncertainty in her voice. "But, what about Pengsong?"

She pets her Elephant Mandrill, who stares at the village somewhat apprehensively.

"Just leave him here," Mauya suggests, earning a growl from the creature.

Lantana, attempting to placate the creature by continuing to pet it, shakes her head at Mauya.

"I won't abandon him," she vows. "He's part of our team now."

"Still," you comment. "Is it a good idea to bring him into the village?"

"Maybe not...." Lantana admits. "But I don't want to leave him by himself. I'll stay out here with him until you guys are finished in the village."

"No," you tell her. "I'll stay with Pengsong. You'll probably have an easier time convincing an Airbender to help you than I would. You are the Avatar, after all."

"Alright," Lantana tells you, finding no fault with your logic. "Just keep an eye on him. We shouldn't be too long."

Giving the creature one more gentle pat on the head, Lantana turns and starts toward the village, leading Mauya and Lantana in search of Airbenders and supplies.

Pengsong watches them go, seeming at first agitated until he remembers that you're still with him, at which time he calms down and simply begins to graze.

With some time to kill, you decide to practice your Earthbending, as you so often do. First, you pet Pengsong, who seems pleased by the attention. Then, you move a short distance from him, and practice the basics.

As you work, you make a bit of smalltalk with the beast. Occasionally, you'll hear him give a small growl or something to that effect in response, but you really aren't sure how much of what you're saying he understands, if he understands any of it at all.

True to her word, Lantana doesn't keep you waiting very long, soon returning with some rations and extra water.

"We couldn't find any Airbenders," she informs you, sounding only slightly disappointed. "But, we did find out that there are some villages in the mountains."

"Great, so we won't have to worry about running out of supplies," you say.

"We shouldn't," Lantana agrees. "But we should be careful about how quickly we go through our food and water, just in case."

"Well then, ready to go?" you ask the others.

Lantana launches herself onto Pengsong's back, giving you a nod. Mauya asks if she can ride the creature as well, and Lantana helps her up (though Pengsong doesn't seem very happy about it). You and Sansha walk on either side of the Elephant Mandrill as your group makes its way through the mountains.

The change in scenery is rather interesting. While there's still plenty of greenery to be found, there's more than a small bit of bare rock, and the tall mountains block a fair bit of the sunlight overhead, casting the whole area into a state of relative darkness.

This time, Mauya actually seems interested in her surroundings, which she studies intently as Pengsong marches forward.

For your part, you decide to ask Lantana a little bit about herself, starting with where she's from.

"A village to the West," she answers, keeping her eyes directed ahead. "It was at the edge of a forest, sitting on the Eastern bank of a river. Plenty of food to catch, all the water we could ever drink, and a lot of wood to make homes. It was a pretty nice place to live."

"What were your parents like?" you inquire.

With the way she's seated, you can't see the expression on her face. But, when she speaks, it's with great fondness.

"They were the best," Lantana answers. "They were both strong Earthbenders, and most of the villagers thought of them as heroes. They pretty much looked after everybody."

When she continues, her tone is sorrowful. "When Jungo came, they led the defense. They raised huge walls, fought with everything they had, but it still wasn't enough. Jungo's army broke through, and soon, the village was surrounded."

Mauya is now listening with interest, and you suspect that, on the other side of Pengsong, Sansha is as well.

"My parents convinced the villagers not to surrender," Lantana explains. "They attacked with some of the greatest Earthbending I've ever seen, took down dozens of Jungo's soldiers. But, it still wasn't enough. Someone threw a dagger at my mom, caught her in the back, and that made dad go nuts. But, he didn't last much longer, Jungo killed him himself."

"I'm sorry," you tell her. "Your parents were very brave, just like a certain someone I know. They'd be proud."

Lantana lowers her head further. "Thank you, Sei."

"They died bravely," Sansha tells her. "And thanks to Sei, Jungo is dead, they've been avenged."

Not entirely. You may have avenged Lantana's father, but her mother's killer could still be alive. And, you think you may have an idea of who that person is.

"That dagger, did you see who threw it?" you ask Lantana. "Was it that Airbender?"

"I didn't see who threw it at the time," Lantana answers, lifting her head a little. "But, since our fight with the Airbender, I've been thinking that the daggers she threw at us looked just like the one that hit my mom."

"All the more reason to train your hardest and master the elements," Sansha tells her. "If you become strong enough, you'll be able to avenge your mother."

"If we live that long," Mauya comments pessimistically. "That hunter's probably still after us, and we don't know how to deal with him."

>A. The Avatar State could probably take care of that

"I've been training," you tell her. "He won't beat me so easily next time."

"It doesn't matter if it's easy or not, he'll still beat us," Mauya tells you. "Unless you've suddenly gotten good enough at Earthbending to shatter mountains, you still can't beat him."

"Well, I don't know about that, but the mountains here do give us plenty of Earth to bend," you point out. "And you've got more water to use now."

"No, she's right," Lantana tells you. "We aren't ready to fight him. The only way we might win is if I used that "Avatar State" thing you guys were talking about, and that only happens when I'm almost dead."

"So, for now we should do everything we can to avoid a fight," Sansha sums up.

Lantana nods.

"Finally, you people are being sensible," Mauya comments, sounding pleased.

Pengsong growls lowly.

"How are we going to keep the hunter from catching up?" you ask. "That animal of his seemed like a good tracker. Does anybody know a way to mask our scents?"

"Nothing that will work on Pengsong, too," Sansha comments. "And we probably wouldn't be able to hide ourselves from that thing for long."

"Do you know what it is?" Lantana asks her.

"Yeah," Sansha answers. "I've only ever seen one of them one other time, but I could never forget it. It's called a Shirshu. They live in the Southern Earth Kingdom, but occasionally, when somebody manages to tame one, they come up North."

"And why can't we hide from it?" Lantana asks her.

"Shirshu's have amazing senses of smell," Sansha explains. "They can track a person or animal pretty much anywhere. I'm sure the hunter's Shirshu already knows where we are."

"So there's no hiding from it?" you ask.

"That's right," Sansha tells you. "He'll find us sooner or later."

"He's probably waiting for the right time to attack, then," you guess.

"Probably," Sansha agrees. "We have to be ready for when that happens."

"How dangerous is a Shirshu in a fight?" you question.

"Extremely," Sansha tells you. "It attacks with its tongue, and if it manages to hit you, you'll be paralyzed."

"Paralyzed," Mauya repeats, making sure she heard correctly.

"Yes, as in unable to move," Sansha tells her. "So, don't let it hit you."

"So, next time we should try and kill it," you suggest.

"That would be our best chance for escaping," Lantana tells you. "Without that thing to travel on, he'll move a lot slower."

>A. Alright, then next time he shows up, you'll have to focus on killing the Shirshu

"What if three of us keep them distracted, and then one of you Earthbenders create an avalanche?" Sansha suggests. "You could crush that thing."

Not wanting to wait for this person to get closer, you quickly create a wall between yourself and the oncoming creature. You turn, shouting for the others to run.

Pengsong roars, turning and retreating after you as Lantana and Mauya hold on tight to his back. Sansha, meanwhile, struggles to keep pace with the shaggy beast.

You doubt the walls you've created will last more than a few seconds, and if that thing is very fast, it'll catch up with you shortly.

Rather than the sound of your wall collapsing, what you soon become aware of is a massive shadow being cast over your group. Gazing upward, you see a massive form in the skies above. At first, you think the hunter has begun throwing boulders, but its not the right shape, and soon lets out a low growl.

With impressive speed, it shoots past your group, coming down to land a short distance ahead.

It's a massive creature, larger than even Pengsong, and it has quite the strange appearance. It stands on six legs, with three-toes on each foot. It's covered in fur, mostly white and shaggy, but you notice some brown on top of it. It has a horned head and a flat tail, and on its back sits a young man, maybe a year or two older than you.

He's thin, and of slightly above-average height. He wears simple clothing, red and orange in color, but it's his head that gets your attention. It's bald, with a blue tattoo in the shape of an arrow on it.

"Sorry I scared you," he says, sliding off the massive creature and dropping to the ground. "You must have thought Gava here was some kind of monster."

"Sorry, we thought you were someone else," you tell the boy.

"Someone's after you?" he asks, his tone showing interest, with a bit of good-natured concern.

That's an understatement, so you just settle for saying that something like that's going on.

"So, was that thing flying?" you ask, motioning to the creature that the boy has just referred to as Gava.

"Well, he is a Flying Bison," the boy says, smiling in the direction of the creature. "That's how they get the name."

"A Flying Bison?" Lantana asks, amazement in her voice as she looks at the creature and its rider with an expression of wonder. "So that means you're an Air Nomad."

The boy smiles. "Yep, my name is Doyu. It's nice to meet you all."

He gives a respectful bow, and Lantana smiles with amusement before bowing in return.

"My name is Lantana," she introduces, rising and gesturing to each of you. "These are my friends Sei, Mauya, and Sansha."

"Hello," Mauya says politely.

Sansha gives the Air Nomad a respectful bow. "It's great to meet you."

"So, what are you guys doing wandering the mountains?" he inquires. "And how come you seemed so scared when you saw me?"

"There's a guy that's been chasing us," Mauya tells him. "We thought you were him."

"Why's this person after you?" he asks.

"They're mostly after me," Lantana admits. "The others are just in trouble for helping me. We're trying to reach the Northern Air Temple."

The boy gives her an inquisitive look. "That can't be why the man is after you, can it?"

Lantana shakes her head. "No, but he won't want me to reach it. The person he's working for won't want me to learn Airbending."

Now, the boy looks even more confused. "You need to be born an Airbender, you can't just learn it."

"She's sort of a special case," Mauya tells him.

"I'm the Avatar," Lantana explains.

The boy's eyes go wide. "The Avatar, really?"

Turning toward Mauya, Lantana asks for one of the canteens. The Waterbender hands it to her, and she proceeds to demonstrate some elementary Waterbending tricks. Then, once the water is put away, she demonstrates her Earthbending.

The young Air Nomad bows once again. "It's an honor to meet you."

Lantana looks a bit uncomfortable with that, but thanks him politely, prompting him to stand back up.

"So, who is this man?" he asks. "And why is he after you?"

"He's a bounty hunter, working for a rogue Air Nomad who's become a Warlord," you explain.

"An Air Nomad?" Doyu asks in disbelief. "A warlord? You must be mistaken, it's not in my people's nature to conquer or kill."

"He's telling the truth," Lantana assures him. "She didn't start the army herself, but she's in charge now. Sei over here killed the old warlord, and she took over."

"She?" Doyu questions.

Lantana raises an eyebrow. "Why is that surprising?"

"It's just that, that would explain why I haven't heard anything about it," Doyu explains. "Men and women live in separate temples in Airbender civilization. We're less distracted that way. And, we don't talk to our sister temples very often."

"Maybe you should start," you suggest. "Anyway, do you think you could teach Lantana Airbending?"

Doyu takes a step back, holding his hands in front of his body and shaking them along with his head. "I don't think I'd make a very good teacher, especially not for someone like the Avatar. The monks at the temple would do a much better job, and I even hear that Mother Superior Rinzen will be there."

"Who?" Mauya asks.

"She's on the council of nuns in the Western Air Temple," Doyu explains. "They say she's one of the greatest Airbending masters in the world. If anyone could teach the Avatar, it's her."

"Well, could you take us to the Air Temple?" you ask.

He looks past you. "I don't think Gava could carry your friend."

"Oh, come on," Sansha says. "Mauya isn't that fat."

Mauya's jaw drops, and she turns to the other girl with a furious expression.

"No...that's not what I meant," Doyu tells her. "I mean your Elephant Mandrill."

Pengsong tilts his head curiously to the side.

Lantana chuckles. "Yeah, I guess that would be kind of silly."

"Well, can you just take Lantana?" you suggest.

"Forget it," she tells you. "I'm not splitting the group up when that hunter's chasing us."

According to Doyu, with him leading the way, you should be able to reach the Northern Air Temple in just over a week. This is, of course, a marked improvement over the two weeks or so you were expecting to be spending travelling.

Perched atop his Flying Bison, he leads the way through the mountain passes, telling you and the others a bit about the Air Nomads in the meantime. As he said before, men and women mostly live in separate temples, which prompted the obvious question of where more Airbenders come from (pretty much everyone was going to leave that alone, but Sansha insisted on asking). Apparently, the men and women meet up every so often for a day, and then, well, birds and bees.

The young Air Nomad is quick to change the subject, talking a bit more about the Airbender lifestyle. They apparently live rather simple lives, spending their time reading, meditating, or preparing foods. They try to live removed from the world's troubles, and, despite being powerful benders, they fight only when absolutely necessary.

The idea seems totally alien to Sansha, but she fortunately decides not to make an argument out of it.

"So, what are you doing wandering around the mountains?" you ask Doyu.

"Well, once we've learned Airbending and about the Air Nomad lifestyle, we're allowed to go and see the world," the young man explains, glancing back at you. "I heard there were some new villages around here, so I decided to come have a look."

"We were pretty far from the nearest village," Sansha points out.

"Gava was getting tired, so I had him land," Doyu explains. "We hadn't been walking very long when we saw you."

"So, can you tell us more about the Airbending Master at the temple?" you ask.

"Mother Superior Rinzen?" Doyu asks.

"Yeah, her," you confirm.

"She's from the Western Air Temple," the boy explains. "She spent decades travelling the world, and going on all sorts of incredible adventures. She's talked to Spirits, flown with Dragons, and even gone sledding on penguins!"

"Penguin-sledding?" Lantana asks, sounding amused. "That sounds like fun."

Mauya shrugs.

"And, they say she's one of the strongest Airbenders in the world," Doyu continues. "But, I've never gotten to see her use it."

"Okay, but what's a penguin?" you ask.

"These flightless birds that live in the South Pole," the Airbender explains. "They slide around on their bellies, and apparently you can ride them like sleds."

"That sounds incredible," Lantana comments, her voice full of childlike excitement and wonder.

"We should all try it sometime," you suggest.

"It's a long way to the South Pole," Doyu points out. "Especially if you don't have a Flying Bison."

"Well, it'll be a long time before we can visit the South Pole anyway," Mauya points out. "World to save, and all that."

"Right, from that Warlord," Doyu recalls. "You're sure it's an Airbender?"

"She was definitely using Airbending when she fought us," Lantana assures him. "So, unless there's a second Avatar that I don't know about..."

"It just seems so strange," Doyu tells her. "We're always taught to be non-violent, and to avoid greed. I don't see how an Air Nomad could become something like that."

Just realized even if she starts to learn the basics, Lantana is going to have a hard time learning to air bend since she is a earthbender originally.
>>
>>678891
Yeah, Airbending will be the hardest element for her to learn, it's principles run somewhat counter to her mentality
>>
>>678901
It's a good thing she learned Waterbending in between, it's somehow a middle ground.
>>
>>678917
Waterbending is about adaptability and being able to go with the flow of combat. Lantana has been forced to learn adaptability over time, so it works for her. The sort of surrender of control and almost letting your body guise itself rather than using your mind that comes with Airbending will be a tough change for her

"It's getting dark," you point out. "Why don't we stop and set up camp for the night?"

Pengsong growls in support of your idea, and Lantana smiles at the beast, reaching down and patting the top of its head.

"Alright, we can stop for the night," she decides. "Sei, let's set up some tents."

Finding a nice spot to settle for the evening, you and Lantana create some crude tents with Earthbending, though Doyu opts to sleep on top of his bison. With camp set up, and Sansha passing out rations to everyone, you ask Doyu if he thinks he could teach Lantana the basics of Airbending.

"I don't know," the Airbender says. "I really doubt I'd be a good teacher."

"Every little bit helps," Lantana tells him. "I'd really appreciate anything you could teach me, no matter how small."

Doyu's face lights up, and he agrees to help her. But, he asks that she come with him away from the rest of the group, as he believes a lack of distractions will make things much easier.

As the two depart, Mauya makes her way to a small stream not far from camp, proceeding to practice her Waterbening.

Their are a lot of non-benders out there, and I don't want sei to end up getting fucked up by chi-blocking bullshit.

It's really good, like radar and it has a lot of uses Toph could tell when someone was lying. We would need to learn it from the moles. I think most bending styles have something like this, Airbenders can sense movement in the air to locate opponents.

When it comes to combat, there's no doubt that Mauya is the weakest link. Her healing abilities are sure to be invaluable, but if she can't hold her own in a fight, she could get taken out of commission before she ever has the chance to put them to use.

She needs to improve, and you're going to do your best to help make that happen. As Sansha eats, you head over to Mauya, who throws jets of water around in various directions, practicing one of the most basic Waterbending attacks. She's able to make such moves more swiftly now than she was a few days ago, but she still seems distinctly uncomfortable with it. You aren't sure what her aversion to fighting is, but you're fairly certain that there's more to her poor performance than a simple lack of skill.

When you've drawn closer, Mauya turns her attention to you, a smirk on her face as she hurls a jet of water your way.

Reacting quickly, you thrust your hands upward, launching yourself over the water, and over Mauya herself, by using a pillar of Earth.

You land behind the girl, spinning and throwing a rock at her back, but she manages to move out of the way before throwing another jet of water at your head. You duck beneath it, and she attacks again, this time going for your legs.

Rather than dodging, this time you attempt to stop the attack altogether, aiming to create a wall between yourself and the girl's water attack. But, this time you aren't fast enough, and water engulfs your legs, freezing solid and taking away your ability to move them.

Grinning, Mauya readies herself to attack again, pulling more water from the stream, and hurling it toward you, this time aiming for your midsection.

"I think you need to chill out," you answer, dropping to the ground and letting the water shoot harmlessly over your head.

Lying flat on your stomach, now, you slam your hands on the ground, and lift the Earth around Mauya's legs, encasing her lower body in rock.

The Waterbender, who was halfway through a new attack, drops the water she picked up, suddenly seeming to go into a panic.

"I give up, I give up!" she tells you frantically, waving her hands in front of her body. "Let me go, okay?"

For reasons you don't understand, Mauya is absolutely terrified. As far as you can tell, the only thing to be gained by keeping this up is straining your already fragile friendship.

"Alright," you tell her as you get back on your feet, releasing her from her bonds.

Mauya bends over, rubbing her lower legs and breathing heavily.

"What's wrong?" you ask her. "Do you really think I'm going to hurt you?"

Probably hearing the confusion and twinge of hurt in your tone, Mauya fixes you with an apologetic expression when she stands back up.

"No, it's not that...." she tells you in a somewhat subdued tone. "I just......look, I'm sorry, can we get back to training?"

"No, I want to know what's going on," you insist.

"Well, I don't want to talk about it," Mauya tells you, her voice becoming stern.

She's getting defensive, and if you let her stubbornly refuse to discuss whatever her problem is, you know that it won't be resolved, and will probably just create problems the next time you're in a battle.

"Look, I don't want what happened just now to happen again when we run into the hunter," you tell her. "That's why we spar, to get these sorts of things out of our systems so we won't make those kinds of mistakes in battle."

"We're supposed to be a team," you insist. "I just want to help you."

Her expression changes from bitterness to regret. "Please, just let it go."

She's asking you to drop it. Begging, in fact. She says that she doesn't want any help, but looking into her eyes, you can tell that she's desperately wishing for the opposite. She wants someone to be able to help her, but is absolutely convinced that nobody can.

Maybe she's right.

One thing's for sure; whatever this issue she has with fighting is, it runs much deeper than simple cowardice.

"I'm not going to give up on trying to help you," you tell her. "You say that I can't do it, but the only way that's true for sure is if I don't try."

Mauya stares at you for a moment, her expression changing with each passing second. At first, she's incredulous, furious, not understanding why you can't just let this go. She studies the expression on your face, reflects on the tone of your voice, trying to gauge just how serious you are about this.

Finally, her expression turns vulnerable, and you know she's ready to tell you the truth.

"Alright, you really want to know why I have such a problem with fighting?" she asks with a sigh. "I'll tell you."

>>680283
The problem with both of them is that there gigantic marks for themselves

Triple h constantly pulls strings backstage and gets himself wins when it would be more beneficial for him to lose ex. Booker, summer of punk

The rock was constantly burying people on the mic then beating the shit out of them

Instead of trying to make them look better when he had to lose he made them look as bad as possible and in return, kinda making him look like a scrub himself

The anger is gone from Mauya's eyes. Her tone is no longer defensive, her posture no longer makes you worry that a single wrong word will result in you receiving a face-full of water. Instead, the girl now looks vulnerable and afraid. She's trusting you, but clearly she's very worried that such trust might be misplaced.

"My mom was the only Waterbender in our village," Mauya tells you. "Well, the only adult Waterbender. She spent years practicing, using it to help her hunt, and fish, and make a good living for us. It was just the two of us, but my mom took good care of me, and I always looked up to her. She was my hero."

You think you know where this is going.

"Things were always nice at the village; no war, and the people were very friendly, despite us not being from around there," Mauya continues. "I was happy."

She looks down. "But, one day, a group of bandits attacked the village. The men went to fight them off, and were doing a pretty good job, but a few of them managed to sneak by. They broke into people's homes, and took whatever they could carry. When they started coming for our house, mom told me to hide, then went outside to fight them. I didn't listen, instead, I sneaked outside and watched mom confront them. They thought she was just some weak woman, so she really caught them by surprise, and took two of them out no problem. But, the third was an Earthbender, and he managed to knock her legs out from under her, and restrain her on the ground. She couldn't move, couldn't fight back when he crushed her with a rock."

"I'm sorry," you tell her.

Mauya continues to look down, her body beginning to tremble. "My mom was amazing. She was a great Waterbender, and she was winning....She should have beaten those monsters no problem, and everything should have been okay, but in one second, they made it so she couldn't even defend herself. That's why I don't like to fight, because it doesn't matter how good you get, one day, someone will get lucky, or someone better will come along, and you won't be able to do anything to stop them. In one second, everything can fall apart."

Mauya doesn't say anything to that. Instead she steps forward, putting her arms around you in a hug. You're taken by surprise, but figure that it's probably a good sign.

"Thank you," she says softly before pulling away.

You feel as though you've grown closer to Mauya. She's shared some very personal things with you, and you've done your best to help her through her problems. You've earned her trust, and her friendship.

She gives you a small smile, then begins to move her arms, raising some water from the creek.

"Alright," you tell her, and the training resumes.

The two of you practice your moves on each other, though you both take it a bit easy, due to the conversation you just had. Still, you get quite the workout, and feel ready for a good night of rest when you finally return to camp.

Sansha has already gone to sleep. With Pengsong around, the need to keep watch has pretty much disappeared, as he can tell when someone's coming far better than the rest of you. Between him and Gava, the camp seems to have a perfect security system.

You quickly notice that Lantana looks frustrated. Doyu sits on top of his Flying Bison, watching her with a concerned expression.

Given how irate Lantana looks at the moment, you decide to give her some breathing room for the moment. Instead of speaking to her, you approach Doyu, who looks over at you.

"What happened?" you ask.

"Well, I tried to teach her some Airbending," Doyu explains. "But, I wasn't a very good teacher. She couldn't do it, and she's really upset about that."

That seems odd. Lantana was able to pick up Waterbending pretty much instantly. And she's a prodigy as far as Earthbending. You wonder why Airbending's giving her so much trouble.

"I don't know what to do," Doyu admits. "It really looks like I won't be able to teach her anything. I guess the only thing I can do is help her get to the Air Temple, so Mother Superior Rinzen can train her."

Both. While eath bending is about hard strong movements and waterbending is about adaptability, airbending is more about fluid and relaxed movements.
>>
>>683339
Airbending is all about circles and shit dawg. It's like super aikido or something
>>
>>683389
>>683339
Air is the element of freedom. The Air Nomads attempt to live a life of tranquility, free of Earthly concerns. For the Avatar, this can be a difficult thing, the relaxation and surrender of control that comes with Airbending is quite counter to how someone like Lantana operates

"Do you know what the problem is?" you ask Doyu.

"I think so," he answers. "Airbending's about relaxation, letting your body guide itself, moving and acting without thinking. She doesn't seem able to do that. She started out trying to do strong movements like Earthbending, then seemed like she was trying to Waterbend. She got really frustrated after a while, and we came back."

Maybe you should go talk to Lantana.

Leaving Doyu to himself, you approach the young Earthbender, who paces back and forth around the small campfire restlessly, only stopping when she sees you come over.

"Hey, Sei," she greets, sounding less-than enthused.

"Hey, hear you're having some trouble," you tell her.

She lets out a heavy sigh. "Yeah, I guess I am."

"Does it feel like you're between a rock and a hard place?" you ask, drawing a smile from your friend.

"Something like that," she tells you, amused. "It's just frustrating. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't do anything, not even the most simple moves Doyu tried to teach me."

"Don't give me that "I'm the Avatar" talk," you scold. "You're Lantana before you're the Avatar. So, don't let it bother you. We're heading for a temple full of Airbenders, and I'm sure they can give you good hints."

She sighs. "And what if we run into that hunter again before we reach the temple? What if that crazy Airbender girl with the knives pops up and attacks us? I'm Lantana, sure, but I'm also the Avatar. I have a duty to the world, and if I can't even master the elements like I'm supposed to, then I'm just a failure."

>D. Doyu said that you were behaving as though you were bending the other elements, first stone and then water. Think about it, what sort of movements are you making, how are you feeling and behaving when you try to bend them? Are you picturing the rough and powerful nature of a landslide? The calm and steady flow of a stream? Do they reflect your movements?
Perhaps some image training would help. Try to imagine a leaf carried on the wind, the gentle and free flow of the air, and copy that with the movements of your body.
You've only just started to bend water, and your natural element is earth, essentially the direct opposite of air. It may be the most difficult element for you to bend out of them all, since you have to re-learn how it all feels.
Still, you'll get it, even if it takes a while.

"You will master the elements," you assure her. "But, it might take some time. Nobody said being the Avatar would be easy."

"I knew it wouldn't be easy," Lantana tells you. "I just didn't know I'd be so bad at it."

"What do you mean?" you ask, confusion seeping into your tone.

"I tried to stop, or even slow down Jungo's army for a year, Sei," Lantana reminds you. "Every time I fought them, I fought with everything I had. I thought maybe I could save one village, slow the army down, or maybe get lucky and defeat Jungo, but I couldn't. By the time I got to your village, I'd pretty much given up on accomplishing anything. I was just going to go to the Air Temple and try to find some help. But then, somehow, you managed to beat Jungo; you did something I couldn't manage in a year in a few seconds. And even then, that didn't stop them. Now some crazy Airbender is in charge, and we're being hunted by some Earthbending monster."

"Sure," you tell her.

The two of you leave camp, practicing your Earthbending abilities in a sparring match with one another. You're still tired from sparring with Mauya, so Lantana wins pretty easily. Still, she works up a sweat, and the both of you manage to work on your techniques.

When you finally return to camp, the two of you say goodnight to one another and head to your tents. You fall asleep quickly and sleep soundly.

When morning comes, you wake to find Sansha and Mauya already up, while Doyu sleeps soundly atop his bison, and Lantana continues to get some rest inside of her tent.

"Shouldn't he be pushing himself as hard as possible?" Mauya questions. "I thought the plan was for all of us to get stronger for when we fight the hunter again."

"You told me that the two of you trained for about an hour yesterday," Sansha says to Mauya. "If you two were pushing yourselves hard, then that's plenty. After a certain point, it does more harm than good."

"Well, we should be at the Air Temple in less than a week," Mauya points out. "I think we'll be okay once we get there."

"The Western Air Temple was able to fight off this army," Sansha recalls. "It's hard to invade places like these. Short of travelling to the Volcanic Isles or the North or South Pole, the Air Temples are the safest places to hide."

The civil war should be a good cleansing. When Trump loses and all the hillbillies with guns rebel in protest, they'll get the shit shot out of them from two miles away by heavy artillery or carpet bombing.

With them gone we'll have finally gotten the incestuous remnants of slave-dependent America out of the collective genepool.

"Get ready for a fight," you tell the girls before rushing toward Lantana's tent.

You jump forward, loudly ripping her tent apart with Earthbending as you land, shouting for her to wake up.

The Avatar jolts upright, leaping to her feet and instinctively ripping up a chunk of Earth. When she sees it's only you, she drops it and stares in confusion.

"Sei, what's going on?" she asks.

"Look out!" she shouts, launching herself over you on a pillar of Earth.

Turning and looking upward, you spot a colossal chunk of rock soaring through the air, heading right for you. Lantana shoots up toward it, punching it and breaking it into countless tiny pieces.

As she descends, you pull up another pillar, which she lands on top of before you slowly lower her down. Meanwhile, the chunks from the rock lift off the ground beginning to swirl around the two of you.

Standing firmly on the ground, you attempt to direct the storm of stones away from you and your friends. A few of them begin to move away, but quickly fall back in line with the others, which pick up the pace as they swirl around you and Lantana like a vortex.

Finally, they strike at the two of you, falling like hail upon you and your friend. The two of you quickly try to move away from the onslaught, and pull up small walls as defenses, managing to successfully fend off a few of the projectiles.

"What's going on?!" Doyu shouts, leaping from his bison and looking around.

"It's him again!" Sansha declares, drawing her sword and looking around.

Two more large stones come flying through the air, one heading right for Sansha, who skillfully dives out of the way, and the other heading for Mauya, who barely manages to avoid being crushed.

The stones continue to pelt you, until Doyu blows them away with a powerful gust of wind, freeing you and Lantana to look around for your foe. Both of you are bruised and cut in various places, but still standing.

The sound of metal striking stone draws your attention, and you turn toward the noise, spotting your foe slowly approaching.

His two blades twirl around on chains, slicing across the ground by his side as he makes his way toward the two of you. What you notice right away is that he's now wearing some sort of mask, painted in bright colors and with horns attached to it, making him appear like some sort of monster.

The monster he normally travels on his nowhere to be seen.

"Good to see you again," the hunter greets as he draws closer. "I've been looking forward to this. Avatar, you look well. But, don't worry, I'll be fixing that shortly."

"So, this is that hunter?" Doyu asks, coming to stand with you and Lantana.

"It's him," your friend confirms. "The hunter."

"Not going to say anything?" your enemy asks as he reaches the edge of the camp, beginning to circle it like a predator. "Fine with me, you should save your breath for when you're screaming."

He thrusts his right hand toward your group, one of his blades stretching out on the chain and heading right for Lantana, who quickly pulls up a wall of Earth to stop it. The blade stabs into the stone, somehow managing to become caught in it.

You hear the hunter roar in exertion, and the wall if ripped from the ground, rising high into the air while still attached to the blade. Soon, it stops rising, and begins falling fast.

"Get out of the way!" Lantana roars, turning her back and fleeing from the falling stone.

Doyu does a backflip out of the way, using his Airbending to gain some extra distance, and you launch yourself back on a pillar of Earth, avoiding the falling wall as it strikes the ground and shatters into a million pieces.

The hunter retracts his blade, spinning it at his side once again as he chuckles to himself.

"That's it, run little bugs," he mocks. "You don't want me to squash you."

"Doyu, let's attack together," you tell the Airbender. "You can use your wind to give my attacks an extra boost, and I can use my Earthbending to cover you."

"Okay..." the Airbender says nervously.

"Go!" you shout, rushing forward toward the hunter, who laughs and spins his blades.

You rip a boulder out of the ground, hurling it toward the hunter with all of the strength you can muster. At this point, you had hoped to have Doyu give it an extra boost, but it flies only as fast as it would normally.

"Really?" the hunter asks, spinning his right blade and hurling it toward the oncoming boulder.

Not sure of what happened, you look over to see Doyu flat on his back, a small pillar of Earth rising from the ground just a few feet in front of him.

Meanwhile, the hunter's blade stabs into your boulder, and the hunter spins it around in the air before throwing it your way, dislodging the blade from it and letting your own boulder fly to try and crush you.

The boulder comes plummeting down toward you, but you stand your ground, planting your feet as firmly as possible and waiting for it to come.

With a yell, you punch the oncoming boulder, shattering it into tiny pieces, which you then proceed to hurl back toward your foe with your Earthbending.

Chuckling, the hunter raises a wall, shielding himself from several of the rocks before his defenses are suddenly pulled down, courtesy of Lantana. As a result, he finds himself pummeled by stones, and you smirk as he takes a step back.

"Hmph, not too bad," he tells you, spinning his blades. "Good, I'd be disappointed if the Earthbender that killed Jungo was completely useless."

"Enough talk!" Sansha shouts.

Somehow, the girl has managed to sneak up on the hunter, and attacks from the side, slicing at his neck with her sword. The hunter spins out of the way, throwing one of his blades toward her, only for her to duck beneath it. Lantana takes the moment of distraction as an opportunity to hurl a boulder at the hunter, but he sees it coming, launching himself over it and sending himself flying toward Lantana as the boulder nearly crushes Sansha, who manages to roll out of the way just in time.

As the hunter descends toward her, Lantana yells and pulls up a massive pillar of stone, sending it jutting out at an angle and causing him to slam his gut right into it. He groans, sliding off the pillar and plummeting toward the ground below.

As he falls, he throws his two blades down, stabbing them in the ground and pulling on the chains connected to them, raising a platform of Earth that he is able to land on top of. You quickly disrupt the platform, causing the ground to break beneath his feet as you did to Jungo, but he throws his blades back, stabbing them into the rock and swinging himself down, dislodging them and letting himself land safely on the ground below.

At this moment, Doyu rushes forward, thrusting a hand toward the massive Earthbender, and creating a gust of wind that sends him sliding back. The hunter quickly pulls up a wall to shield himself from the wind, but a jet of water quickly snaked over it, dropping down to strike the hunter.

You spot Mauya standing near what's left of the platform, a determined look in her eyes.

>You see Hunter, this fight is 5 on 1. In a normal 1 on 1 fight each person has a 50% chance of winning, but I'm a genetic freak, so my chances are more like 75%. Then you factor in that we have the avatar on our side, and she always has 60% chance to win. But when 6 people fight each person has a 16 and 2/3% chance to win. But since 5 of them are fighting as a team each of their chances of winning are five times higher. So you take my 75% chance add the Avatar's 60% and our other teammates 16.6% to get 185%. You then multiply that by 5 and our team has a 925% chance to win. The numbers don't lie, and in this battle they spell destruction for you Hunter, you stupid idiot.

"Everyone!" you call to your friends. "Attack together!"

"Alright!" Sansha shouts, rushing toward the hunter from behind as Mauya circles around the front.

Doyu dashes ahead to join the fray, and you rush after him as Lantana moves to join Mauya. The wall in front of the hunter is pushed forward to ram into Mauya, but Lantana gets between your friend and the wall just in time, breaking it into pieces and hurling those pieces back at the hunter, who launches himself into the air to avoid it.

Doyu leaps up, throwing another gust of wind toward the hunter, pushing the Earthbender higher into the air. This gives you a crazy idea, and you rush forward, launching yourself high on a pillar of Earth.

"Doyu!" you call out. "Give me a boost!"

As you sail over the Airbender's head, he sends you soaring after the hunter on a gust of wind. The Earthbender thrusts his blades toward you, but you manage to spin to avoid them, quickly reaching his altitude as he begins to fall, and flipping to kick him in the face.

Your foe lets out a cry of surprise, as your kick throws him higher into the air. You, meanwhile, begin to fall, and Lantana hastily creates a massive pillar for you to land on. Looking up, you watch the hunter descend in a dive, heading right for your pillar. His blades come down, stabbing into the stone, and he swings around the side of the pillar before throwing himself up, kicking you in the chest and throwing you off the pillar before he lands on it.

Lantana creates another pillar, onto which you slam down hard. The hunter, meanwhile, lowers the pillar upon which he stands, putting it level with yours before throwing his blades toward you again.

You quickly lower your platform, causing the blades to fly harmlessly over your head. From your new position, you rip a chunk from the hunter's pillar, and he quickly leaps over onto your own, tackling you off the edge and sending you both plummeting toward the ground.

"Sei!" Lantana shouts.

A gust of wind slows your descend, and the two of you land on the ground without too much trouble, save the fact that a massive Earthbender is on top of you.

A jet of water hits him in the face, knocking him away and allowing you to get to your feet. Mauya comes to your side, snaking more water around to prepare for another strike. As the hunter prepares to attack your friend, you put a wall between the two of you, and Doyu strikes from the side, sending him slamming into the platform by using a gust of wind.

You spot a large chunk of Earth being ripped up behind Doyu, and it quickly begins flying toward the Airbender's back.

"Look out!" Sansha shouts, tackling him out of the way.

You lower your wall to see the boulder heading right for the hunter, who stands his ground and smashes it to pieces. At that moment, the pillar behind him begins to collapse, threatening to crush him flat. However, he turns and uses his bending to rip it from the ground, turning the gargantuan column of Earth toward Lantana, and hurling it at her like a javelin.

The Avatar launches herself upward toward the pillar, landing on top of it and running to the other edge before leaping off.

"Sei!" she calls.

Responding immediately, you create a massive ramp, which Lantana surfs down to reach the ground. Once there, she does a sideways flip, ripping up a boulder and hurling it toward the hunter, who impales it on one of his blades and swings it toward an approaching Sansha.

This time, Doyu saves her, pulling her away from the boulder with a powerful gust of wind. Mauya throws a jet of water up at the chain connected to the blade the hunter just used, freezing the water and the chain both solid.

"Sansha!" she shouts.

The young warrior tosses her own blade with great precision, striking the frozen chain and causing it to shatter, making the blade connected to it fall to the ground.

Growling in frustration, the hunter moves to throw his remaining blade toward your friend, but you quickly shift the ground beneath his feet, throwing him off balance and allowing Lantana to strike him in the chest with a boulder, sending him rolling backwards across the ground.

"Now's our chance!" Lantana shouts.

Working in unison, the two of you quickly raise the Earth around the hunter, coating his arms and legs in it in an effort to restrain his movements.

"Oh, come on!" the hunter shouts in frustration.

"Wow, we actually did it," Mauya comments as you and Lantana make your way toward the downed bender.

"You didn't do anything," the hunter tells you. "This fight isn't over."

"That's right," you remember. "Where's your pet?"

"By now, probably finishing taking care of yours," the hunter answers, smirking.

Turning around, you spot Gava and Pengsong lying on the ground, each of them seemingly almost in a daze. Above them stands the Shirshu, who growls lowly as it sniffs the air.

"We can take it," Sansha declares, readying her sword.

"I wouldn't be so sure," a voice from above cautions.

Looking up, you see a massive form floating through the air. It takes you only a moment to realize that you're staring up at a Flying Bison, but another moment to realize who's on top of it.

Your blood runs cold.

On top of the bison is a figure in a black cloak, with a dagger in each hand.

"It's been a while," the woman remarks. "But, I'm sure you remember me. I know I remember you, Avatar, and your little friend there."

"You...." Lantana growls.

"You do remember," the woman observes. "Good. Now that that's out of the way, let's get down to business."

"You do remember," the woman observes. "Good. Now that that's out of the way, let's get down to business."

"She's an Airbender...." Doyu observes.

"Yeah, the one we told you about," Lantana confirms.

"You've made some friends since we last met," Kalana observes, presumably looking over your group from her perch atop the bison. "A Waterbender, and a warrior, from what I hear. This Air Nomad is new to me, however. What do you call yourself, brother?"

"My name is Doyu," the Airbender answers. "I'm from the Northern Air Temple."

The cloaked figure nods. "Well, I would suggest that you run home. This meeting is not going to end peacefully, and I'd rather not have to harm one of my own."

"You're not one of them," you tell the cloaked woman. "You're a monster."

"A monster?" she asks in return. "As expected, you understand nothing. I'm no monster, I'm what the world needs; someone who will do what the Avatar can not, and what the Air Nomads refuse to do."

"And what's that?" Sansha demands.

"What else?" Lantana asks rhetorically. "Bring balance."

"By waging war on the entire continent?!" Lantana shouts furiously. "By conquering and murdering?!"

"Yes," Kalana answers calmly. "Sacrifices must be made, and while they're regrettable, they are necessary for the greater good."

"How is this for the greater good?" Lantana asks her.

"Because the end result is unity," Kalana tells her. "The Avatars have always claimed to be instruments of balance, but their idea of a balanced world is a divided one. Separate kingdoms, separate nations, separate people. The world can never be at peace or balance when such divisions exist. These divisions lead to conflict, and inevitable, one of these divided nations will grow more powerful than others, and the so-called "balance" will fall apart completely."

"But," she continues. "Take away the borders, the divisions, and the world can exist in harmony. With the same laws, the same cultures spread across the globe, wars would be a thing of the past, and the world could truly be at peace."

"There's no such thing as harmony when power is unbalanced," you tell the girl. "Each nation has the right to exist and be governed by its standards."

"But so long as the world operates under that system, the power cannot remain balanced," Kalana counters. "Nations rise and fall, and the power constantly shifts. If a harmonious world is to be created, this can not continue. And that is why I'm here now. I am going to remove the greatest obstacle to a world of peace and balance; the Avatar."

"You can't mean that," Doyu insists, sounding absolutely appalled by what he is hearing. "The world needs the Avatar. The Avatar is the bridge between our world and the spirit world, and was entrusted by the spirits to maintain the balance."

"Well, the Avatar has failed," Kalana tells him. "Soon, there will be a new bridge, a new keeper of balance. But before something new can be created, the old must be destroyed."

A dagger shoots down toward Lantana, who quickly raises a wall to defend herself from it. The dagger is stopped, but the wall quickly crumbles, and Lantana is pulled off her feet as Earth rises to encase her ankles.

Turning around, you see the hunter, free of his bonds and back on his feet. His left blade, still connected to a chain which is wrapped around his arm, is gripped tightly by the hilt. He holds his right hand toward his other blade, which rises from the ground and shoots into it.

"It's the beginning of a new world," Kalana declares. "A world in which none of you are welcome."

The hunter is someone you know that you and your friends can handle if you all work together. This Airbender worries you, however, and you want to take her out of the battle as quickly as possible.

Ripping a pair of large rocks from the ground, you hurl them upward at Kalana's Flying Bison. The first misses as she quickly veers her mount to the side, but the second strikes the creature full-force, causing it to turn over and plummet from the sky.

Kalana drops from the back of her bison, using wind to slow her fall, and shooting up a powerful gust that causes her mount to slow as well. While she's distracted, Lantana hits her with a rock, throwing her to the ground.

The hunter quickly strikes, hurling a pair of rocks that nearly hit you and Lantana on the back of the head. You're saved only by Doyu throwing you out of the way with a gust of wind.

A moment later, he's thrown forward by a gust of wind, which sends him right toward Kalana, who hurls a dagger right at the approaching Air Nomad, piercing his chest with it.

Doyu falls to the ground, and Kalana readies another dagger.

Meanwhile, the Shirshu lets out a roar and rushes into the fray.

As the creature comes running, you rip another boulder from the ground, throwing it at the beast with all of your power. Unable to see it coming, the Shirshu barrels right into the rock, taking a hard hit to the head and stopping dead in its tracks.

"Sei, look out!" Lantana shouts, tackling you out of the way as a dagger whizzes through the space occupied by your head moments before.

As the two of you pick yourselves off the ground, Kalana throws another dagger, and the two of you shield yourselves behind another wall. A pained grunt from behind catches your attention, and you turn to see Sansha hit the ground.

Mauya, who is gathering water and freezing it into ice, suddenly finds herself restrained by Earth that rises to coat her body. She begins to struggle in a panic, but to no avail.

The hunter begins to approach, restraining Sansha in a similar manner as she begins to get up. You and Lantana are now on your own.

A loud gust of wing draws your attention, and you see Kalana leap over the wall, flipping and coming to land beside the hunter.

"It's almost over," the Airbender tells you and your friend. "A world without the Avatar will soon begin."

Kneeling, you punch the ground, coating your fists in stone. You attempt to make that armor spread across the body, but can't seem to make the defensive shell of rock go beyond your arms.

Seeing that that's a dead end, you rise to your feet, just in time for a dagger to fly across and stab you in your right shoulder. You hiss in pain, clutching at the dagger, but before you can so much as pull it out, you're thrown against the wall by a powerful gust of wind.

"Like I said, I'll make this quick," Kalana tells you, slowly approaching.

As the Airbender draws nearer, you extend your right arm in her direction, detaching the Earth from your body, and sending it flying forward to punch her with a stone fist.

Kalana grunts in surprise, falling back to the ground, her body sprawled out in front of you as you reach up and pull the dagger out of your body.

Meanwhile, Lantana is locked in battle with the hunter, and holding her own quite well. She leaps over enemy projectiles and fires back with massive stones, using walls and pillars as both defensive objects and weapons. She's fighting with all she has, and hanging on.

Lantana will last for a little longer at least. For now, you need to deal with Kalana. Jungo was supposed to be unstoppable, and you managed to kill him. Now, you'll do the same to this Airbender.

Stepping forward, you rip a boulder from the ground. Or, you begin to, but Kalana kicks toward you with both legs, sending out a powerful blast of wind that once more slams you against the wall.

The cloaked woman leaps back to her feet, stepping toward you with both hands raised. She begins to wave them around, and your body tenses up. You feel something being forced up through your throat, and your mouth opens. Your eyes widen in horror as you realize what's happening.

Gasping, you bring your hands up to your throat and struggle to breathe, despite knowing that it's an empty gesture. Kalana continues to wave her hands, and you drop to your knees.

The air has been ripped from your lungs, and this woman is beginning to slowly suffocate you.

"Sneaky," she comments, looking down at you. "You're so sneaky. No wonder you caught Jungo off-guard. But, I'm not Jungo; I don't let rage blind me, and I don't only see the small picture. I'm not going to lose to a worm like you."

"Sei!" you hear Lantana shout.

Your eyes shift toward the voice, and you spot your friend staring at you with a horrified expression. They widen further when you spot the hunter moving up behind her, taking advantage of the fact that her concern for you has clearly distracted her. He prepares to strike, only for a gust of wind to push him aside. Seconds later, Doyu leaps toward the man, kicking and firing another gust of wind that prevents him from getting back up.

"LET HIM GO!" Lantana demands, hurling a massive rock toward Kalana.

Air returns to your lungs as the Airbender bends backwards and lets the boulder sail past her head. When she stands back up, her attention has returned to the Avatar.

"Not the reaction I was hoping for," she comments to Lantana.

"You almost killed my friend!" Lantana roars. "How did you expect me to react?"

"In a much bigger way," Kalana answers.

Lantana kicks the ground and thrusts her arms upward, pulling up another large chunk of Earth and leaping, spinning and kicking. The rock soars toward Lantana, who jumps back to dodge it, quickly falling under pursuit by Lantana.

As the two women battle one another, the hunter traps Doyu's legs with Earth. The young Airbender continues to create powerful winds with his hands, but the hunter locks his own legs in place, keeping the attacks from having any effect.

Doyu isn't doing so well, but this gives you a perfect opportunity. Stepping forward, you stomp on the ground and thrust your arms up, creating a pillar of Earth that rises up and slams into the hunter's groin.

As he lets out a high-pitched sound of pain, you smile.
