/qst/ - Quests

I actually don't want any more players, seeing the system I set up makes it harder the more players there are, and I'm pretty happy with my current number.

Hum.
>>
Generation 5

NPC Factions:
Free Masons
Vasarian Group

Mystery Island:

Sons of Light
Fishermen with dreams of magic, fearless explorers despite simple ways.
4 Fishing, .5 Explorers (2.5 Human, 2 Mer)
Faction Specials: Dreams of Magic, Fearless
Faction Resources: Well, pretty much the entirety of Mystery Island that's been settled.
-Elves, +Wave

Still need that 1d100 roll from you for exploration success. To spice it up a bit..

>Search the entryway that killed many from the Moon Jade. Fear cannot stop us!
+Crit Success, +Crit Failure, +Fearless
>Search other entryways. No sense being fearful, but no sense being foolhardy either.
Normal roll.
>Let's stay outside the ruins, investigate the island as a whole. Let's be safe about this.
-Crit Failure, -Success.

Volcano Island:

Blood Clan
Demonic warriors who practice ritualistic hunting to sharpen their skills
Faction Points: 1.5 Warriors 3.5 Hunters (5 demon), 1.5 Divine Kineticists (1 human, .5 half-demon)
Faction Specials: Wild Hunt, Kinetic Magic
Faction Resources: The hunting industry, a few clan halls, that include prep for hunts, and arenas, which now have troughs in the floor for catching spilled water.
Relations: +Elves, +Wave

Investigation reveals the truths of the fruit. The reason it is edible to demons and increases the strength of half-demons is because it feasts on the blood of beasts. To cultivate it in great numbers would require sacrificing blood to it instead of Wave.

>Simply take what fruit naturally grows, it is worth investigating and using, but not worth trading the sure power Wave grants us.
>Begin cultivating the fruit with the animal sacrifices and blood that would normally go to Wave in return for magic, we shall rely on Prayer only for power from Wave.
>Destroy the fruit, it must be evil
>Don't harvest the fruit, maybe we'll discover a use for it later, but it still seems spooky.
>>
The Daemon League (Ano the Daemon)
Engineers, scientists, and craftsmen who seek societal advancement for everyone. Now brown qts.
Faction Points: 1.5 Craftsmen, 2 Demon Fire Magic Users, 1 Scientists, .5 Mer Metallurgists
Faction Specials: Edgelord
Faction Composition: Demons, few Merdemons, few Half-demons
Faction Resources: Fire Enchantment labs, supply chain, docks, lovely sea-side property.
Relations: +Elves, +Wave, +Abyssals?

You stuck to the plan. Apparently the Abyssals thought it was neat. You mildly changed their birth rates to favor females, and they took that and ran with it. You've still got no way to have kids anymore.

Now what?

Wave Dancers
Adaptable, semi-aquatic part mer, who live in wetlands.
Faction Points 1 Masonry 1 Crafsmanship 2 Fire Kineticist Warriors .5 Metallurgy .5 Hunters
Faction Specials: Underwater Architecture, Brinebane Oil
Faction Resources: Temple to Wave
Faction Composition: Half-mer
Relations: ++Wave

You've discovered an oil that works pretty well at keeping steel from corroding underwater. It wears off when you stab/slash things, but for the purpose of keeping your weapons in good shape until the battle. Your experiments with other oils are going alright, but not great. You've worked out a couple of sticky slow burning flames, that aren't that that hot, and while intimidating, you don't think will actually burn your foes that well.

>Morale shock is fine, we've got magic for fire damage. Let's look into other things.
>No, more fire. Keep trying. Find better oils.
>No, more fire. Try enchanting the oils. Maybe the Daemon League can help?

Glurble, of the Murlocs
A group of murderous monsters who obviously have no ulterior motives and only want to help
Faction Power: Warriors 2, Misc 2, Construction 1, .5 Sea Monsters
Faction Special: We have reserves
Faction Resources: Shanty towns and seacaves, walls and ditches.

Connecting the ditches meant the sea monsters were more likely to be able to escape their pens, move around unnoticed, and snap people up. So, population suffered a bit. That said, the monsters seem to be quite content with their lot in life, affectionate of their Murloc lunches, I mean, masters.

The Blue Jester of The Dwellers of the Deep
1 Hunters 1 Fisher 2 Light/Water/Fire Mages 1 Angsty Teenage Girls
Faction Specials: Scary as all get out (eaty life magic), Search for Maoi's Hook
Faction Composition: Abyssal Mer
Faction Resources: Shimmer Tooth

You spent your time making tons of babies over this generation, taking advantage of the Daemon League's assistance.

Now what?
>>
>>435032
Now, resplendent, we shall become pirates of sorts. A common tactic will be to set a ship on fire and fight from the sea.
>>
>>435088
Targets?

>Ships between Volcano and Mystery Island... Might earn you a lot, but I think we'd know what'd happen.
>Elven Ships returning from their pirate raids, or coming with trade goods.
>Follow the Elven ships and pick on the same targets as them, for a share in the spoils.
>>
>>435026
sorry we missed the last quest are we still in it?
>>
>>435088
Not allied ships of course. what is the name of this nation anyways?
>>
>>435116
Sure, I'll always accept people making a re-entrance, barring when they were vetoed off the island.

Actually just an oversight that you weren't on this list, as you're currently on me "only missed one turn" list.
>>
>>435134
Some call us the Wave Chasers after the original followers of Wave, but there really isn't a central government or taxation system. It's just a bunch of people who wanted peace and safety or fled for religious regions.
>>
>>435116
Waterdawn
Miners seeking riches below the Waves, and craftsmen working the raw riches into wonders, harmony between demon and man.
Faction Points: 2 Miners (Mer, 1 Humans, .5 Demons, .5 Half-Demons) 2 Craftsmen (1 Humans, .5 Demons, .5 Half-Demons) 1 Metallurgy/Divine Fire Magic Users (Mer .5 Half-Demons, .5 Humans)
Faction Specials: Unity of Soul
Faction Resources: Elf, crafting halls, great docks, and volcanic vent forges in Waterdawn's resources.
Relations: ++Wave, +WinterMane

After long years of research, you've finally discovered a use for that wierd lead. When combined with some other stuff and iron, it makes a really useful metal called steel. The big problem now is the lack of iron. The elves are willing to accept some small mark-ups for trading you iron to get steel in return, but due to their monopoly on iron supplies for the Wave Chaser's settlements, they won't be easy pickings.

>Don't trade steel to the Elves, they'll probably reverse engineer it like they did the fire enchants, and then we'll be toast.
>Trade steel to the Elves, we need that iron, and we want to keep good relations with them.
+Steel supplies, +Elves

Other goals?
>Find Iron! We needs it! (Specify where you search.)
>Write ins?
>>
>>435097
>Elven Ships returning from their pirate raids, or coming with trade goods.
>Follow the Elven ships and pick on the same targets as them, for a share in the spoils.
Wouldn't want to disrupt our closest friends now would we? Of course, we wait until we know where the good pickings are before we bother the pirates, but soon enough we will raid them as well.
>>
>>435146
Have you determined what the composition of magma escaping in the abyss is yet? Is it earth like (mostly aluminum and silicon with traces of potassium, calcium and sodium, with a massive excess in oxegen and silicon.) Or is it more irony? Like, a lot more irony. I designed shimmer tooth based on the assumption that there was a lot of iron for him to utilize. A quick note, that fang is a lot like a syringe needle, only much bigger.
>>
Rolled 60 (1d100)

>>435146
>Don't trade to the Elves
> Search the island and the sea floor for Iron and other resources but particularly Iron
>>
Rolled 2 (1d3)

>>435162
Oh, right. Um.
>>
>>435162
It's got some iron in it.

>>435167
You also notice said iron at the sea floor... But it's firmly in abyssal territory.
>>
>>435029
>Begin cultivating the fruit with the animal sacrifices and blood that would normally go to Wave in return for magic, we shall rely on Prayer only for power from Wave.
Wave doesn't like sacrifices so I think she would like it better this way.
>>
>>435593
Blood clan, we miss you

>>435593
There's a reason that option didn't have a -Wave modifier. :P

>Search the entryway that killed many from the Moon Jade. Fear cannot stop us!
>>
>>435927
I think Wave is now the only person who hasn't killed citizens of Roggar. Maybe Dragonfist hasn't done it yet either. Dem civil wars be ugly
>>
>>435982
"Wave" is dead, so that point is moot
>>
>>436068
Word of Bulgar is she escaped. I can link ya if you like.

Only purebloc folks ever said she died. They just kept trying to repeat it until it came true.
>>
>>436096
In crunch terms she is dead
>>
>>436115
If that's your argument, put the quotation marks around dead instead of Wave, and you're good.
>>
>>436170
Alright anyway, pure won
>>
>>436172
Yes they did, as we can clearly see, Roggar is a healthy, beautiful kingdom fully united under their leadership, which is not on fire.
>>
>>436188
Ok, what's your new faction
>>
>>436193
Had some edge thoughts, had some halfling thoughts, had some elfy thoughts, had some horsey thoughts. Haven't settled on one yet.

I can detail them out for you, if you'd like to take your pick of favorites.
>>
>>436201
Sure
>>
>>436188
To be fair it wasn't pure bloc's fault nor was it really edge-bloc's fault.
People's personal loyality to other kingdoms got them into civil war.
Kindda like if a country imploded because they can't choose betwen america and USSR in the coldwar plus some proxies wars happening too.
It was a clusterfuck and betrayal fueled salt and death.
And now people got their heads out of their ass and finally decided that taking a side is more trouble than it's worth.
So yeah, it's burning nice tho i think we each individualy learned something as individuals and all made a beatiful story with our decision and i regret none of it because of this even if thing could have surely been handled differently.
But this gives me hope.
Hope that the edge-bloc and the pure-bloc can see beyond their names as people and realize that the simple fact of branding alliegances led to this conflict.
We may figure out that this game was no blue vs red game and that we were all in fact in the same team, like in football, playing for our own wage at the end of the month but our team as a whole as well otherwise people will perform bad and players will get fired.
I Have hope that we can all learn something important about teamwork.
>>
>>436202

Edgey
"I am Cyrus, and I saw the sunset over Nayte."
Grudgelord demagogue human refugee, gathering shattered remnants and scavenging battlefields.

Halfling
"I'm Palidi Moxstep, and we're here to... Oh.. Wow. Um... I guess we got here too late? Um... Need some smokes?"
Halfling herb growers, farmers, and militia, all devout pantheon followers who were coming to help, super super slow.

Centaurs
Fuck if I know. But I've shilled for Centaurs in like, eight different civ threads.
Hard to justify at the moment, as they wrecked a lot of our shit.

Elf
Khamsin, the Story on the Wind
"If you will, tell me your story. Legends live longer than men or elf."
Just a traveling historian.
>>
>>436275
I'm pretty sure it's purebloc's fault for forming the blocs and the us vs them mentality in the first place.

That said, my main point was that regardless of who is king, nobody won.

I don't believe this will happen. I think the only reason the civil wars petered out was because there was barely anyone left to fight, with both pure and edge blocs nearly crushed, and a couple of neutrals left.
>>
>>436295
None of them sound that good, I'm sorry it's just opion
>>
>>436301
I'm still here. But the civil war do suck, I never wanted it in the first place. That why I wanted talk our way out of it.
Also can't blame people, their no point, the thing we know everything is on fire, the Edgelords really lost their whole factions and city. I feel bad for them, some of them were cool.

But like always we can rebuild. You did sure miss a lot. But even if everything was destroy is was still fun.
>>
>>436328
Shill harder
>>
>>436295
The halfling Immigrants may be welcome.
>>
>>436331
Later my man. We all lost something in the battlefield today. You really play your faction well.
>>
>>436334
Hahaha no, pure bloc will kill her
>>
>>436295
I think the Halfing will be a welcome change to things. We do need to regrow our crops and farmland of the kingdom.
>>
>>436340
What if new name? Or do they have a problem with non-humans in general?
>>
>>436301
>I'm pretty sure it's purebloc's fault for forming the blocs and the us vs them mentality in the first place.
They didn't really form the Us and them mentality, they just wanted to organize votes to win them in a efficient manner which i can understand.
It's like when you're on attack or defense in football, you play with people of similar roll and come up with strategies with them.
Demons did push the us and them mentality too early on by building walls around Nayte repetetively and the perspective of demon conversion spooked anyone who wasn't thrilled with accepting the demons nomads in the first place which i can understand.
The Us and Them mentality started because different groups existed and that's enought i mean people literally group and gain bias even on basis of shoe color subcounsciously so what can i say, The simple fact both group were independant of one another and organizing created a Us and Them effect FAST.
>That said, my main point was that regardless of who is king, nobody won.
Well it's not a game about wining.
I like to think we're making Roggar's history and when i base my action i base them on two questions.
>Is this in character? Is this realistic?
>Does this let me make a good story?
So i think i won personally, i managed to fill both of the answer with yes with each decisions so i feel nice.
>I don't believe this will happen. I think the only reason the civil wars petered out was because there was barely anyone left to fight, with both pure and edge blocs nearly crushed, and a couple of neutrals left.
That's Pessimistic, Edge-bloc is wiped out and Pure-Bloc incapacitated.
Pure-bloc got the more pyrrhic victory they could get so i feel egde-bloc is either gonna be salty like >>436331
which mean they're bad players, they don't learn that they're cause (ie helping demon/paitras) is lost and will fight to the end for something that is either already achieved or unachievable or they're good player and set themselves new goals that don't force them to harm people or come into conflict with faction who had conflicting goals as well.
An Exemple would be High Inquisitor instead of fighting for Paitras and hunting the people who cause Nayte fall going to the Halfling Land and Bringging the Pantheon to them.
I think the only lefts of Edge-Bloc were only classified edge-bloc because they fought with demon when in reality the tru issue war Horde-bloc vs Paitras-bloc.
The Neutral are in fact not so neutrals.
So them getting power might be interesting to see how long they can keep it and where they lead us.
Overall i still disagree, while this war was a terrible event for Roggar i think of it as an eye opening event for the faction and each individual player.
The realization that you can HURT and BE HURT caused us To started fighting eachothers but i hope to we can learn to cooperate which will give us a more stable peace between factions.
Tl;DR
Nah it's all good people will learn and things will happen.
>>
>>436350
They have a problem with ger
>>
>>436353
Well you missed the coup by mill. Also thanks for calling me salty
>>
>>436375
What?
>>
>>436386
Pure bloc hates wave no matter what she is
>>
>>436383
Well i'm pretty sure that each time Inky is around now after the civil war thing, we just have to put you in a stable, the amount of salt you contain will probably economize us hundreds of bucks in salt for the horses.
But yeah you're visibly salty at inky which i can understand you in no way shape or form are unjustified in your salt tho it would be a wise choice to contain it, more people don't enjoy eating food that's too salty and i don't enjoy playing games that are too salty either and i'm sure you do too.
It's all about moderation otherwise you might get bad things happening to your heart later down the road.
>>
>>436353
>They didn't really form the Us and Them mentality.
Did you forget I was a founding member of Purebloc? I was there when that happened. I shared responsibility for that. We definitely started it. I still have the logs. We started it.

>Well it's not a game about wining
I'm pretty sure it is for some people, and some people settle for vengeance if they can't win.

>That's Pessimistic
Fair.
>>
>>436404
>Did you forget I was a founding member of Purebloc?
Wave i told you ealier discord i'm Obelix.
I literally said i'm Jorro Light.
that's actually kindda funny that you think we started it when the demons literally claimed to make Faction that were demons who dindu nuffin to piss off purefags.
>I'm pretty sure it is for some people, and some people settle for vengeance if they can't win.
That's why i'm saying we must play for the story not the success of individual factions.
>>
>>436412
Obelix, do not argue with the mad
>>
>>436412
I'm aware of who you are. And I was reminding you I was there at the beginning, same as you, and have a completely different opinion.
>>
>>436419
Even before the Doc existed Demons created factions to piss off people who were traditionalist.
Being the first players we imediatly too a liking to the traditionalist role me and inky since we felt it was our roles as people who played the previous civ.
So the Us and them Date back to Faction creation even.
Inky and I as Faction were predestined by our whole starting values to fight demons a way or another.
Which is pretty amazing from an historical stand point that even as the demons arrived animosity like rose instantly.
it does make for a very confused black and white story that ended up grey at some points.
I don't regret any of it and I don't think i even instigated it buit it'd be proud to have.
>>436418
you know i thought of saying something witty like " i gave up on that when i wrote that post >>436397 "
But i'm not even going to do it because i know it would only increase the amount of salt i'll to mine to get the idea through your skull that Wave wasn't bad because of her action but mostly because of the was she talked and that i have nothing with her coming back if she does EVER and i say EVER play the role of a studborn person who's so smug that the level of annoyingness she radiate rivals that of a crying child in a supermarket.
So yeah i think Wave IF SHE CREATES A TOTALY DIFFERENT FACTION Can come back in the civ.
>>
>>436438
Yes, when I roleplay Wave, the naive person who made a promise, sticking to that promise in the face of exile, it's bad roleplaying.

But when Natajo clan sticks to their king even after the king's clan abandons their king, and gets completely wiped out, it's good roleplaying.

What boggles my mind is that the same excuse "I was roleplaying the character" generates extreme hatred for me or edgebloc, but not for purebloc.
>>
>>436445
Even the demons wanted you to get married, you should of done it. Your helping people who don't want to be helped
>>
>>436458
Because they wanted to avoid the war. I chose the third option, and avoided the war by leaving, while still allowing Wave a one in a million to complete her promise.
>>
>>436463
You chose to doom people to never see their family's again, you doomed them to live under the ocean, to fall too inbreeding, to neve have a normal life. You choose the selfish option
>>
>>436445
>But when Natajo
*breath in*
*prepare himself to read the rest*
>sticks to their king even after the king's clan abandons their king
alright Godric clan never abandonned the king in any way ever.
And frankly i stick to inky and give him advice mostly as a player and because he's on phone so i kindda act as a voice for him which i did a lot as clan Clan Notajo and kept doing because i didn't feel like disappointing inky or abandonning him to his sad fate of getting no support and being unable to speak.
>and gets completely wiped out
We'll i stick with the clan till my last breath so it's evident that i can pretend that some left other diplomat is still shilling for inky, i mean i'm a merchant clan so diplomacy was one of my specialities.
>What boggles my mind is that the same excuse "I was roleplaying the character" generates extreme hatred for me or edgebloc, but not for purebloc.
The problem was that you were extremely smug and we didn't know were to place you on the friend or foe scale.
And a few ungrateful comment was enough to spark enough of a reaction for me to take the shot diplomatically and as inky point to me back then, he'd not have liked being on the other ends of my post because he liked my speeches and believed in what i said.
So at the moment you angered a faction which was specialized in diplomacy and good at it while the pure-bloc wasn't sure what to do with you on the scale, you literally chose to gave us a reason to make the simplest simplification of all.
>she bantz us
>she work with demons
>she want to become god
>make her fall in the enemy category
and then the hate train started and there was no brakes because really your comments didn't really allow us to afford any and you did not seek private communications.
The hate didn't start when you left, it was merely amplified because there was no release, it like when you see a very cute girl and she decide to wear that super cute top who reveal a bit too much but SHE FUCKING PUTS HER GODAMN BOOK ON HER CHEST 99% OF THE TIME.
So yeah no release.
Also
IT NOTAJO
THE FUSION OF THE TAJO AND THE NATO CLAN
N-O-T-A-J-O
it's linked to the real word name Navajo and the deformation of Not a jew because we're merchants.
>>
>>436474
>Not A Jew
Fucking kek
>>
>>436474
Ok, I'm completely fine with this. You've given great reasons why people hate me. Because you're a great demagogue. And you got results, so hey, you probably are.

As long as the argument isn't "you're bad for roleplaying bad" I'm cool. When the Bantz started, I was trying to roleplay that Wave had finally grown something of a spine after killing a dragon in one on one. Funnily enough, that ended with her running away.
>>
>>436483
I'm surprised at the amount of people that did not realize it.
perharps if you read the name aloud a few times you do realize it but if you only read it's hard to link the dots.
>>
>>436488
> I was trying to roleplay that Wave had finally grown something of a spine after killing a dragon in one on one. Funnily enough, that ended with her running away.
yeah but back then it sounded more, "i could have done everything by myself and never received any help"
Which would basicly if said amongst any group that actively help eachother an enormous shit storm if said in a smug enough way.
I mean i would have fucked up inky if he said "i got this crown by myself you never helped for it" because people rarely are kind to ungratefulness.
>>
>>436492
She did kill the dragon one on one, no help.

The Bridge Tsunami? All your help, she never claimed that one. The glory of that is all yours

But she didn't have the benefit of sacrifice power or any other assistance as she fought the dragon. That's why people told her to stay back. But she saw her friends and followers getting their rear ends kicked (our dice were horrible that fight), she went in for it.
>>
>>436494
>She did kill the dragon one on one, no help
Implying she wasn't powered by me literally sacrificing herd along with everyone
WEW LAD
>That's why people told her to stay back.
Nah we did this because we didn't want to lose you back then and were a valuavle ally that was unique and that we were not able to get back if lost.
You didn't DO anything wrong but you did say a lot of things that led to this situation.
>>
>>436502
She spent all the sacrifice power on the tsunami. She can't normally do that. That's why tsunami glory is all yours.
>>
>>436518
I didn't think she could kill a dragon too without sacrifice power.
Otherwise it'd have been an easy game if you didn't make a target out of yourself.
That's another reason why people got tired of Wave she did have a lot of power and special snowflake moment and if i learned something from school is that being different mean you're gonna get scapegoated very easily if you piss off the wrong person.
>>
>>436524
Bulgar's words were that Dragons and Magical Beasts generally had 8/10 magic power.

That implies equals to me. Sure, I was probably at a disadvantage both element and combat experience, but dice were on fire.
>>
>>436535
look there's two way this could go.
>you were Op dragon strengh
therfore anons hated you because you had your own special snowflakes battles.
>you were given that strengh
therefore anon hated you because you were ungrateful.
Either way Wave got fucked because she's a
"What kind of wafui shit is this?" character and people who play demon used as ironic commentary on "i'm not evil i swear" and traditionalist pure realist faction were all around you.
You kindda sticked out like the anime girl in the middle of a medieval fair or the GM gf in a GURPS campaign.
>>
>>436540
This is fascinating and all, but can we get back to our refugees and monsters civ plox?
>>
You're all fat and gay, Roggar is burning, no fucking rules anymore, no fucking blocs, everyone do whatever you want. Wave, I for one welcome anyone who could help at this point, snowflakery or non-snowflakery be damned. Huge faction wipe anyway, so old allegiances are (at least supposed to be) forfeit. Let's just try and put shit back together

>>435032
Mobilize the qts and start working on improving island infrastructure, mostly food and water supplies, so that we're not so dependent on our trade. As a side project, actively encourage reproductive experimentation by anyone brave enough to get weird.
>>
>>436546
Eh, it's not like we're waiting on me for anything atm.
>>
>>436554
Wave, just stay out of our civ, keep your junior civ and stay there
>>
>>436549
>You're all fat and gay,
I like that intro if you don't mind i'll steal it for later use.
>no fucking rules anymore, no fucking blocs, everyone do whatever you want
Bloc still exist somewhat but alliegances are more soft and Blocs are now weaker than before.
>Huge faction wipe anyway, so old allegiances are (at least supposed to be) forfeit
I just hope they are forfeit.
I mean i know for Daemon that they are but i hope you will not stay hateful to thoses that cause your death and be able to look past that.
I mean there's a big tower of babylone reversed myth feel aroun Nayte and that ended up being a wonderful story i felt.
>Let's just try and put shit back together
Never could have spoke so true.
>>
>>436549
Wave coming back I don't think is an option, as much as I'd like to. Because of how much hate there is, even proposing the question, even if the majority supported it, such fuss would be raised, that Bulgar wouldn't want to deal with it.
>>
>>436564
Obelix, can I have your support for the Mill regime
>>
Guys meet in discord
>>
>>436563
Actually, this might prove to be an interesting fusion should wave say hi. Of course, the other op would have to approve, but the idea that she survived in a distant sea may stir things up down the line. It would be a much better story for wave to be revealed in centuries though, like some legend that no one believes existed. Like she was a metaphor for the hubris of elementals or something. This is falling apart but the concept is interesting.
>>
>>436568
Didn't mean Wave, meant you as a player. Pretty sure Bulgar is anti-wave at this point
>>
>>436578
>Pretty sure Bulgar is anti-wave at this point
pretty sure bulgar is pro popular opinions most of the time and that's it.
He did give Wave two personal battles where she got to fluff shit out herself.
Bulgar has been really understanding to wave as a player and her need for creativity and i think he's happy she got to create a quest to fill that need.

What kind of Wafui shit is this?

Blue Jester:
Piracy, we'll learn from the sea elves, then start raiding them.

Waterdawn
Not Trading with the elves

Blood Clan
Cultivate new fruit

Light Jorro
Successful investigation, just shy of crit. :(

Daemon League
Improve Island Infrastructure, not dependent on trade, and try to get freaky.

Alright, I got everybody?
>>

Everyone who said anything I think.

>No, more fire. Keep trying. Find better oils.
Maybe something involving a thicker oil?
>>

And emphasize the fact that we wait until the elves have exhausted their usefulness before we raid them.

Wait, I'm here
...Investigate into piracy with Jester's people, I want some Swashbuckling Murlocs.

It doesn't take you long to see that the Sea Elves manner of piracy may not be applicable to your own resources, but is remarkably similar in some ways.

They basically use their faster, more maneuverable ships to get into a position the enemy artillery can't fire back at them, then ballista fire flaming enchanted rounds at them until the enemy artillery and sails are disabled. Then get closer, and fire arrows if the enemy still has fight in them. Then steal the goods and be on their way. They don't like to risk casualties, so they stay away from really heavy vessels or ones that are staunchly defended. They burn ships down from range if they resist to the end, which has over the generations trained people to surrender after they lose the artillery battle. They'll generally leave said vessels with enough supplies that odds are decent another vessel on the busy trade route will save them, to encourage surrender.

Perhaps the most valuable thing you learned is where said trade route is.

The obvious thing to do is...
Build some mediocre makeshift wooden rafts, and train some Murlocs in the way of piracy.
>>
>>443635
Hmm, make note, offer a chance to surrender, then murder lots, then let some leave to say, "holy shit that was scary"

On second thought, offer the elves our services in return for a more, formal education of their craft.

Leaving out the bit where we benefit of course.
