The yellow sun of Bastion shone it light upon worlds scarred by war, the armies that still fought on, and the storms of metaphysical energy rippling in the aftermath of these conflicts. The moon Bastion continues to spin around the supermassive gas giant, the perpetual storm covering the volcanic moon hiding the damage caused by the invaders. The nearly broken orbital platform remains floating high above the clouds, it's tether to the surface holding strong while repair craft and shuttle swarm the sections damaged by the Ahkams violent attack. The surface showed its scars, newly built cities and townships targeted by enemy artillery or invaded by drop troops that still clash with the local defenders. New craters that crackle with lingering Arc energy dot the volatile landscape, hills and mountains reshaped by the geokinetic Obsidianborn and new rivers of molten lava crossing the valleys and plains.Throughout the asteroid belt there continued skirmishes between stranded Ahkam forces, cut off or damaged beyond escape. Swarms of voracious Kraken bioships scour the belt for any that have so far escaped their wrath. The vast battlefield where the Matriarch had clashed with the titans of the Armada has become a localized storm of Arc and Necrotic forces consuming each other. The nearby protoplanet, with its heavily reinforced surface and countless kilometers of tunnels and underground chambers became a temporary prison as disabled Ahkam vessels were towed there and kept watch over by an attentive picket fleet. The toxic world the Ahkam made their debut was wreathed in unnatural Arc storms. Originating where Quantac'Vrix had emerged in the system the clouds flash with Arclight even as portions burn with the green flames of Necrotic energy consuming them but in the waning power of the Arc Surge the storms rage on. Bolts of Arc energy strike the harsh surface in a chaotic storm, the poisonous sands growing strange, dark formations that pulse with inner Arclight.Rukor, jewel of the system, weathers its own Arc storms. It's populace, accustomed to harsh hurricanes, find these unnatural storms disquieting. Rainless clouds gather and crackle with Arc lightning, bolts reaching down to strike islands or open water. Night still gripped Vyi'a'Rthun and the capital city of the ructu but the skies were awash with Arc and Necrotic lights dueling above, yet the defenders had little time to admire or fear them as they worked to route the stubborn invaders from their foxholes.High above Rukor, suspended at the edge of the atmosphere, was the loosely coiled form of the dead Matriarch. Muscles retracting and stiffening in death draw the damaged Ahkam into a grotesque shape, her fangs exposed in a violent rictus that captured her last moments of terror and pain. Floating only a few inches from the warped and torn patch of flesh and metal of her helm was a chrysalis of meat and bone that pulsed with barely contained powers and a slumbering mind waiting to awaken.

>>1926396Just to clarify, where is nekris? Is he in the chrysalis too?
>>1926398Pretty sure hes just chillen with Eiton and the other Generals who helped us fight. He is going to get so scolded when we wake up.
>>1926396Ok so the first corse of action is to broadcast to all akham forces we are engaged in the footage of us killing there God of gods the matriarch. If this doesn't make each and everyone of them surrender I'll be surprisedWe are going to have so many snakes on our side
>>1926396You are not Lich-Lord Jadyk of the Wormstar, leader of the New Necrotic Armada.<First Necromancer, control of the Armada falls to you, by order of Lord Jadyk himself>With a sigh Jor nods as he enters a large empty chamber within the Necromancers Spire of Iti'a'Ropku, "I know, I know. I'm about to call a family meeting," Jor says as the Deep Rot gives a mental note of confirmation before following the humans command.Lacking his newly forged armor Jor stood alone in the lightless chamber with Desolation gripped in his flesh and blood hand, his thoughts rapidly shifting between topics but one constant thought rises to the surface. In the darkness he could easily see the memory that Eiton had shared with him, of Jadyk slaying the Matriarch and consuming the Arc before retreating into his chrysalis. His reverie was interrupted as lights suddenly fills the chamber as holograms flickered into being before him, illuminating the featureless chamber. Commander Rethak nods to Jor in greeting from where his hologram materialized next to the human who returns the gesture. Dominator Valresko, his mind one more separated from the Deep Rot, was the next to appear along with holograms of Agona, Tlacex, and Muic. They nod to the Necromancer but say nothing as Predators Eiton and Nekris appear as well with the Voidknights Lorgul and Jareth.Necromancer Jor gives a short respectful bow to the undead Generals, "Thank you for answering my summons, my friends."Lorgul nods, his normally jovial mood replaced with a calm stoicism for the moment, "Of course, First Necromancer.""I want to start by saying how proud and happy I am concerning the Ahkam Invasion," Jor looks to Muic, the Punisher's form Reforged and different from the last time he had seen her, "I am glad to see you healed and well, Muic. I fear Bastion would have suffered if you weren't there to defend its people."Muic salutes with a fist against her chest and bows her head, "Bastion is my home as much as Horizon's Drop. I am only regretful I was injured so gravely to begin with," she lifts her head to look to Nekris, "Although, my return is not as momentous as the Arcwalkers," she says with a hint of amusement to her voice.Nekris, with his eyes shining with Arclight even through the hologram, bows his head, "My return was only made possible by Jadyk and Eiton," he pauses and looks to Rethak, "And the Arcdancer that once went by the name of Orvca and does so once more. She regained her memories of her life and wishes to speak with you soon, Commander."The Osjiic Immmortal nods, "Of course. I am excited to speak with her as well.""We are all excited by the return of our sister and brother," came the voice of Valresko, the others turning to him, "But there still remains the issue of the invaders.">cont
>>1926487Jor gives a nod, "Very much so. There is still much to do and tend to, my friends," he says.Holoscreen flicker to life before them, showing the sector map with Bastion and Urdir highlighted. Data streams by constantly, showing reports of the invaders and defenders, "The Ahkam invasion is broken for now, but we must attend to the stragglers and captives, along with those already infesting the surface of our planets," the human quasi-dead says to the Reconstructed council. He keeps his mind free of the doubts and fears that any number of the undead may find it distasteful that leadership of the Armada has fallen to him for the moment."How shall we deal with them, my friends?" he questions, looking to them for advice.>Write-in

Rebroadcast that in addition to the Matriarchs corpse, it will spread despair among them before we demand their surrender."Lorgul scoffs, "Surrender? They should be eliminated for daring to attack the Armada."Agona gives a short nod, "The Lavafather wishes the serpents to be punished as well, although he will defer to whatever decision we, you make, First Necromancer.""I have no intention of letting them escape if they do not surrender," the human says in a firm voice, not willing to show weakness before this council of Generals, "Those that do not surrender peacefully and attempt to escape will be dealt with harshly to serve as a warning to the others.""Even if only a fraction surrender to us, there will be thousands of captives. Legion's Home was damaged in the invasion so we will need another location to keep them locked up," Commander Rethak says.Jareth speaks up, "We could convert the old slave quarters and cells of Kanda into prisons, it would be simple enough to do. Or, even closer in Bastion are the kilometers of tunnels and empty mines in the protoplanet."Jor nods, "Very well, I will consider those options, thank you Jareth," he turns his gaze to where Valreskos image stands next to Agona's, "When they attempt to escape the system, I will leave their capture and/or destruction up to you two. You have more experience in these matters."He presses a finger against his temple for a moment as he communicates with the Deep Rot through his symbiot, "Begin the broadcast."Roll me 2d100 best of first 3 please

>>1926587Across the Bastion and Urdir systems the Armadas vessels target the Ahkam ships but with more than just their weaponry. Hailing frequencies are sent to their ships in addition to a general broadcast along their compromised comm lines, captured technicians implanted with Control Worms allowing the message to carry unhindered through their fleets. The image of Vle'Karak appears along with Dne'tec and Cve'jok, the serpents beginning their proclamation of their defection and new loyalty to the Armada. A repeat of the early broadcast that had wrecked havoc upon their numbers before the Matriarch's arrival Jor knew the Nru'joks submission to Tlacex would air next, before the final footage of the slain Matriarch. As the broadcast was sent out Valresko and Agona keep a keen watch over their foes as Armada ships closed in. Even Jareth provides his own aid, the Voidknight considered one of the best pilots among the Armada, by guiding flights of strikecraft.Even as the three Generals focus on the strategy their images remained in the chamber. Jor clears his throat, drawing their attention, "We must discuss what we should do concerning the Matriarch corpse and Jadyk during his...vacation," he says, drawing chuckles from the Generals.Nekris nods, his mandibles clicking together before he spoke, "The Bastion system is ideal. Between the facilities on Rukor and the protoplanet, the Matriarch can be Reconstructed as we see fit. The Fury has returned to Rukors waters to heal as it is."As the broadcast continues Valresko snarls quietly to himself, several of the Generals looking to him briefly before he waves them off. In both Urdir and Bastion a handful of Storm Gates began to billow around ships still capable of escape, the Ahkam using the fading energies of the Arc Surge to project the supernatural clouds faster than they should be capable. Even so, Armada ships launch their attack upon those attempting escape but leave the injured and motionless unharassed for the moment."Where shall we take Lord Jadyk?" Illuminator Tlacex asks, speaking up for the first time during the meeting, "Vyi'a'Rthun is heavily fortified and the ructu would find it to be a great honor I am sure.""The Lavafather offers to guard Jadyk himself upon Bastion should we agree to it," Muic says while letting Agona handle the fleets. The newly Reforged Punisher standing on the side of the Lavafathers mountain prison as she communed with her siblings."We could try bringing him home to Iti'a'Ropku although I am unsure if he can be moved at all right now," Rethak suggests. As Nru'joks defeat was broadcast there came in hails and distress signals from various Ahkam ships. Many were only crewed by the serpents slaves but they send out their surrenders, the ships with working weapon systems deactivating them. Most were crewed by esat, the Deep Rot coming to the conclusion that much of the invaders fleet had been drawn from the nearby homeworld of the insectoid species.>cont
>>1926826Although there were of course a large number of the other races such as kosda and epikor who send out their messages of surrender. >>1926831"Bring the Matriarch to the protoplanet. If we're imprisoning her subjects there, it will serve as a reminder of Jadyk's strength," Jor says while rubbing at his chin with a finger, "I would feel safer with Jadyk being home here in Iti'a'Ropku. I'm hoping we can move his chrysalis into a ship to transport him."With his decision made Jor notices that the broadcast was waiting for him. He gives a nod to the Generals, "If you'll excuse me," he says and they give their own nods as their holograms grow indistinct.Once more he speaks but this time his voice rings throughout Bastion and Urdir over the Ahkam airwaves as footage of Jadyk, Ruscuv, and Tlacex dueling the Matriarch is broadcast as well, "You have seen the children and champions of your false god proclaim their loyalty to us, the New Necrotic Armada. You have seen the devastation we have unleashed upon your forces, even as the Ahkam serpents are bolstered by the Arc itself."The footage changes momentarily to show the damage that Muic, Tlacex and Ruscuv had inflicted in their raid of the Tura system. It switches over to show a various scenes of the devastation and destroyed Ahkam ships that had been in the now failed invasion. The footage switches back to a far off shot of the Matriarch high in Rukors atmosphere where she was engulfed in a growing Arc storm, marked by a beacon of Necrotic flame."Your invasion has failed. The Matriarch Quantac'Vrix has been slain at the hands of Lich-Lord Jadyk."The image changes to show the now withered form of the Matriarch, her armor ruined and scales withered, several wings torn from her form. The angle does not show the mound of meat and bone that was Jadyk within his chrysalis."You have seen that even an honored champion of the Dynasties, Vle'Karak the Butcher, has seen the strength of this Armada and agreed to join us. Vle'Karak and the other Ahkam that have already joined us were given an offer. An offer to serve in life, or to serve in undeath."This offer I extend to every soldier and child of the slain Matriarch. Surrender yourselves, your weapons and your ships to the Armada and you will keep your lives. Refuse, or attempt escape, and you will join your Matriarch in death," As he spoke and his message is carried across the systems Valresko, Jareth and Agona launch their attacks against those that attempt to flee but to their anger and frustration they watch as several Storm Gates fade, their attacks passing through the lingering clouds harmlessly.>cont
>>1927267"The Matriarch Quantac'Vrix attempted to use the Arc Surge in her plot for revenge against us, against those that refused to bow to her whims and allow their worlds to be despoiled and their kin turned into weapons for her vanity. Through her death our Armada grows in strength. It can become so much stronger though, if you were to join us of your own will."For that is the way of the New Necrotic Armada. Those that attempt to harm us are broken and knocked down, but through the Armada and the teachings of Jadyk and the Wormstar, our enemies have become honored friends and stalwart allies. The way of the Armada is not subjugation and persecution as it is with the Dynasties, it is of rebirth and reforging, of strengthening yourselves by joining and bringing this strength to enrich the lives of friends and allies."I myself was brought screaming and struggling into the fold of the Armada, a reluctant recruit," Jor says suddenly, surprising Rethak and the other Generals, "But now, I have come to see the true path of the Armada. There are those that would call us heretics and abominations for our belief that all can be equal, despite their might or power or race. But our path is the path of Salvation and Redemption. Heed my pleas and surrender yourselves, be you Ahkam or Epikor or Kosda or Esat or Tyrre or whatever you may be, and you shall have a place among us, among our Armada."His voice fades from the broadcast that continues to show the withered form of the Matriarch and her grim wounds.Jor turns his attention to the holoscreen displays, worried that his proclamation was ignored or spurred them toward desperation but as several moments pass, several more warships manage to escape while others are crippled and stranded. Finally, when Jor believes that he has failed, the Deep Rot alerts him to a hail sent toward a battleship near Rukor, the first of many that begin pouring in.With a motion of his hand a holoscreen flickers into being before him and a green-scaled, young male Ahkam regards Jor through the connection. Their tongue flickers out several times before they speak, "I am Vil'cva. I had never wished to launch this assault upon your Armada. My servants did not deserve their deaths, nor do I wish to doom them to your undeath," they fall silent for a moment then bow their head, their bladed tail reaching up to touch the horns that curl from above their eyes, "I surrender myself and all those under my command to the mercy of the New Necrotic Armada. My mother is slain, along with many of my siblings, and I have no desire to join them."Jor was nearly stunned by the message but he holds himself together, giving a polite bow of his head in return, "Thank you Vil'cva, I pray to the Wormstar that your surviving siblings will share your pragmatism."The serpent gives a short nod before the connection is severed and the holograms of the others resolidify.>cont
>>1927276Valresko was the first to speak, "That went better than I thought."Agona grumbles as another Ahkam battlecruiser escapes before her ships could close in on them, "I must agree, but it is a shame so many have managed to flee our grasp."Tlacex laughs, "Do not fear, my siblings in undeath. More and more are calling out their surrender. We have much to tend to now."The Illuminator was correct as more hails are received, from uninjured to heavily damaged warships, they call out their surrender and plead for the mercy of the Armada. While there were many soldiers to process and rescue, a portion unlikely to survive as their ships deteriorate even further in the deadly vacuum of space, the Deep Rot confirms over the next hour a number of Ahkam serpents who send in their own messages.Current surrendered Ahkam:>8 Ahkam SerpentsVery sorry about this folks, but due to some shit happening irl I must delay the rest of the thread until tomorrow or later tonight. First thing we do after we wake up and scold/hug Nekris is personally visit the Old Armada general we met a few days before the battle. He seemed like a guy with a sensitive ego and personally visiting and showing out might(without showing of,like bringing a fleet) may sooth his ego.
>>1928533Who can we send that won't offend him? We can't go ourselves, we are in a crystal.Any underlying we send would offend himIf we explain why we can't go ourselves it will offend him because it would make us seem grandiose
I fucking missed it. wormstar damn it.so three things.one is talk with the old general. like>>1928533 said hes a sensitive bastard but I think hes someone who we should try to start of nice with but lay down the law. we are bigger, we are stronger, we are better. you will do as we say or you will be forcefully consumed/reconstructed. 2. any spare generals, I personally think one of the punishers and void knights and maybe nekris take the day to be down loaded into an "AI" file. don't want to go through the whole nekris bullshit again.and lastly from the last thread I'm in favour of the ship list he put together. I will try to find it and post here.as a closing point I found where all our luck and nat 100 goes. a quest called artificer quest. in 8 threads they rolled 7 nat 100's and 1 nat one.....that was negated due to fate point.
>>1928560I said when WHEN we wake up. It would be better if we waited and went ourselves then send another underling.
>>1928634Oh sorry, but we need to tell him somethingWe don't know how long we will be out of commission, and if we do nothing now he will be offended I say we send jor to lay down the law like in this post >>1928629Sending the active head of the armada shows we respect him, but laying down the law shows we are no nonsense
>>1928940I nominate Jor and Ruscuv to send.

>>1928940But he is old necrotic Armada and we don't know if his God is actually dead so sending Jor might have catastrophic consequencesIf you want to put the fear Jaydk into him. Send Valresko

We need to scout and be prepared to intervene in civil wars on the akham planets near us. Surviving akham and loyalists are going to go to town on their own if they so much as smell a fart in their general direction after this
>>1929060He is still a member of the Old Armada and deserves a modicum of respect. We dont have to walk on egg shells, but its still polite. Left unchecked, his undead will almost certainly give us a bad name.
>>1929077>>1928629We should send Ruscuv.Yeah yeah I know it seems crazy, she his not the diplomative sort, but remember, she is from the Old Armada, the guy seemed to have a big ego and to despise the newcomer on the galactic game, but if we send someone of the Good Old Armade he will maybe be more inclined to listen to us.The fact she could kick the living shit out of him if he do anything stupid don't hurt either.
>>1929100What was the wording used after our duel "I will follow you, for now"Secondly we have little to no control over Ruscov.Thirdly I don't think she really gives a shit about the living and is still trying to figure out Jaydks new obsession with attaining as many pets in the universe as possible Am I implying Jaydk is the crazy cat lady of the Armada.... perhaps
>>1929113Ruscuv have clearly seen our power while fighting the Matriarch, and she can probably feel that right now we are becoming something REALLY nasty. She won't betray us now, especially for a secondary member of the Old Armada she could probably eat for breakfeast. The other guy seems to be powerfull, but not the like of us of even big insect lady.
>>1929113We did put a bit of our essence in her when she was being regenerated, and she has been shown to respect us. She may make a good medium between our blooming new philosophy and the mind set of the Old Armada.

>>1929377>Send Ruscuv with ValreskoThe holograms had faded as the Generals turned to the tasks of processing the new captives and crushing pockets of lingering resistance. This had left Jor alone to look over the display of holoscreens while discussing with the Deep Rot their next actions. The memory of Jadyk telling him of the ancient undead Zekrul returns to him as he looks over the placement of the Armadas forces and sees the small stealth fleet still within their claimed system.A few minutes later after a mental summons was sent through the Deep Rot two holograms flicker into being. Valresko had returned to overseeing subduing the remaining Ahkam warship, giving a polite nod of his head to the human, "First Necromancer."The other was the larger form of Ruscuv, the Lich missing the earlier meeting while distracted overseeing the subjugation of a particularly unruly Ahkam serpent. She gives a bow, the tendrils hanging by her complex array of mandibles coiling lazily, "Hello Jor, you have something to discuss?"Running a hand across his scalp the human nods, "Yes, thank you both. About a week or so ago Lord Jadyk discovered that another survivor of the Old Armada has risen to power," he waves a hand and a holoscreen shows footage of the burning undead, "A Zekrul who once served the Charred God. You may remember them Ruscuv."The pincer of her tail clicks several times as she regards the image, "Vaguely. A minor player on the Undying Court if I recall correctly," she glances to Valresko then Jor with a shrug, "I rarely paid much attention to the politics of the Court.""Either way, contact was made and from what Jadyk told me, this Zekrul was defeated and entombed much like he was. They have already completely subjugated the populace of the Confederate colony that accidentally released him and appears to be using cloning much like the rogue Necromancer and the Immortal in Refuge were," more holoscreens appear showing the spy footage that the stealthcraft and Eyegore were able to uncover, "He's taken over much of the system and is in the process of rapidly building starships. Recent intel gained just today show that his first corvettes have been completed."A video shows a somewhat crude, but functional corvette rising up from a construction pylon located on the moon as Ruscuv chuckles, "They do appear industrious at least."Jor continues, "The issue is that they have already proclaimed themselves head of the "New Necrotic Armada" upon believing himself to be the only survivor.""Well clearly he can't call himself that unless he joins us," Ruscuv says with disdain, "We're the Armada now and we should ensure he knows it."The human chuckles and nods, "Obviously. Zekrul appeared insulted when Jadyk was not able to arrive in person due to the Ahkam invasion, and clearly he is still not in a state where he can. Even the Harbingers have gone silent.">cont
>>1929644Valresko speaks for the first time since his hologram reappeared, "And am I to intuit that is why you contacted us, First Necromancer?""Yes. If you two don't mind a short trip, I would like to send you both to ensure he doesn't start a war with the Confeds or someone else by using our name. Also to keep him appeased. Jadyk seems interested in either taking him into the fold of the Armada or at least keeping him under control," Jor says, "I know I am not Jadyk so I am sure it must be strange receiving orders or missions from me, but I believe you two are my best choices. He will fear both of your strengths."Most of all he should respect you for being one of the heroes of the old Armada, Ruscuv. Jadyk told me of how your name made the champions of the other factions back down out of fear of your wrath," he says with a polite bow to the Lich. She was silent for a moment and glances at Valresko before nodding, "Very well, I suppose it will be nice to see an old war-buddy like that. Are you sure you do not need my aid with the Ahkam?""Should an emergency arise you will be the first I recall," he says, the Lich giving an approving click of her mandible array."Very well, I will prepare to leave shortly," she gives a short bow to both Jor and the Dominator, "I do look forward to working with you, Valresko."The Solar undead returns the gesture, "As do I, Lich-Lord Ruscuv."As Ruscuvs hologram fades as she returns to her Palanquin Valresko looks to Jor, "You are indeed not Jadyk," he pauses and the human tenses uncertainly, "But you have proven your worth so far, First Necromancer. I must assume I am being sent not just to intimidate this Zekrul with the Solar am I?"Jor was silent and Valresko nods, "Very well. I shall keep Jadyk's sister Lich under control and ensure this Zekrul does not overstep himself," he salutes and bows his head, "To Death and through it to Eternity. Good luck, First Necromancer."Bowing the Necromancer gives a smile, "Thank you Valresko. Good luck to you as well, may the Wormstar guide you."Before the hologram fades Valresko hesitates before speaking, "I only ask that you keep watch over the Blackscale. They are unbound by Spike nor Symbiot. They very nearly worship Jadyk but they are full of their own plots and designs.""Of course, Valresko. They are my cousins in Necromancy now," he says with a chuckle as the hologram fades.>Dominator Valresko and Lich Ruscuv have been deployed to contact Zekrul

>>1929706Jor frowns at the timing of the Blackscales message coming so soon after Valresko's warning. With a thought to the Deep Rot a connection is established and after a few moments as the time dilation was attuned a holoscreen appears before him.Guir stood in one of the science labs where they made the alterations and tampered with the Sunscale genome. His look of concern turns to surprise then suspicion at seeing the human, "Where is Jadyk?" he demands suddenly.Jor holds back his sigh of exasperation, instead bowing politely to the lizard, "Greetings Necromancer Guir. Lord Jadyk is indisposed following the battle with the Matriarch Ahkam."Hissing in concern they tilt their head slightly, "Is he unharmed? The Reconstructed spoke with his voice then went silent.""At the moment he appears unharmed but he is occupied with attuning to the Arc after stealing it from the Matriarch. Much like he did when he gained the Solar he is having to take a bit to himself," Jor says, the Blackscale muttering some short prayer to the Wormstar at the news.Clearing their throat he nods, "I am glad he survived. Not even the Sunscale will fight with a Matriarch if they can avoid it," he says while tapping his chin with a wicked claw as he thinks to himself with whispered mumblings."You said there was some urgent matter?" Jor asks, trying to hide his impatience for the peculiar reptilian.Guir blinks as if remembering Jor was there then gives a quick bob of his head, "Yes. Jor, you are a Necromancer yes?""First Necromacer, yes.""Hm, First Necromancer, of course," they wave a hand dismissively before continuing, "Have you slept recently?"Taken aback Jor ponders for a moment then shakes his head, "I have not. The invasion kept my attention. I thought us Necromancers don't sleep often?""We don't but when we do..." he trails off then points a claw to the screen, "I did hear Valresko say you have had the visions we are."Jor was silent a moment as he recalls his most recent dreams, "Dreams of Green, of scales, rot and eyes," he looks to the lizard intently, "Do you have an idea what it could be?"Bobbing their head quickly the Blackscale reaches off screen and lifts scrolltube covered in Sunscale sigils and runes, "I thought it was familiar so I went and looked through some of our records we moved off our ship. The Sunscale histories from before the old Armada mention something about a Curse of the Green.">cont
>>1929782They growl in annoyance as they pull a scroll of vast age from the tube, eyes scanning over it quickly, "Why must they be so vague..." finally they shrug and look back to Jor, "It does not say what it is, only listing it among calamities from before the Mother and Father sundered the homeworld to bring the Sunscale into the stars. Curse of the Green, the Screaming Stones, the Tragedy of the Wayward Scout, the Blighting of the Divers, the Broken Debt and Betrayed Prince," they wave a hand dismissively again, "As you can see, my orthodox ancestors loved giving grand names to tragic events."Jor rubs his chin with a finger, "I am curious about learning more about the Sunscale but this Curse of the Green, there is no info?"Guir shakes his head, hissing faintly, "Sadly no. There may be more info on the Pestilence or among the other Cabals. I've already asked my sister and brother to ask our cousin Cabals if they have any inclination. My concern is that among some of the clones we have in stasis have had similar visions to our dreams recorded by the Think Tanks in charge of their programming. I do not think it a coincidence and I am...fearful of the implications now that I am the only one of my Cabal here with Valresko missing," Jor could tell it took some effort to admit his fear to a human even if he was Jadyk's favored disciple, "I am grateful that there are still some of his Solar Arbiters here but...""What would you suggest?" Jor asks.Guir was silent for a few moments then gives a shrug as he rolls up the ancient scroll carefully and replaces it in the tube, "I honestly cannot say. It was a dream that convinced us to go to the world that Lord Jadyk discovered us, and your dream that inspired Iti'a'Ropku, so clearly dreams have importance to us Necromancers. This is why I wished to consult Lord Jadyk."How should Jor proceed with these concerns?>Write-in

Have the Deep Rot create some more Reconstructed to stand guard over them. If they start to act up, I would suggest disposing of them immediately. Kill the Warbloods for your Knights if you must but do not awaken any, I saw the report of the attempts," he says with a faint chuckle that is joined by the lizards gurgling laugh.Guir bobs his head, "I had similar thoughts, glad to see I have support. I shall keep them on ice until my siblings return and we can begin the process of Reconstructing the clones," he pauses as he looks offscreen as there is a clatter of metal and he shakes his head, "Honestly, between us, my siblings and I could use the practice."Jor nods with a smile, "You and your siblings are always welcome to visit or join us here in the Necromancers Spire of Iti'a'Ropku. My students would love to meet the other Necromancers of the Armada.""Hm, I did enjoy my visit to the city. That native, Red Vine Springs, appeared formidable," he says and Jor takes a moment to realize who he meant."Ah, yes. Red-Leaf-Strains is a close friend and my second-in-command when instructing the apprentices. She has become an integral part in the Armada," Jor says, "If you would like, I can send some of my Necromancers to assist you."The lizard frowns for a moment in thought. The Deep Rot mentally contacts Jor, saying the hidden empathic sensors in the Blackscales lab reported a spike of suspicion and then acceptance. Finally Guir bobs his head, "If you can spare them, I will not turn them away. It is rare that we work with Necromancers of other races. Most are too prideful to share glory," he says with a scoff."Do not fear, Guir. My Necromancers work well with others. I shall send one of my prized students, a vorh who has a natural talent for Reconstruction," Jor says, already sending a mental thought through the Deep Rot for the Necromancers to mobilize as the Blackscale nods, "Was there anything else you required? I know Jadyk is very excited to see the results of your Wormscale project and I wish to help in what ways I can.""You have been...very accommodating, First Necromancer. The aid is appreciated," he says with a bow of his head before speaking in the Wormtongue, "May the Wormstar guide you, Brother."Jor gives a polite bow of his own, repeating the phrase in the same language, "May the Wormstar guide you, Brother."As the holoscreen flickers out Jor pauses a moment in thought before contacting the Deep Rot.Research added:>Dream Study: Unknown - Due to the regularity that Necromancers appear to have of prophetic dreams the Think Tanks have begun studying the nature of dreams by examining the dreamscapes of the living citizens in the Armada

>>1933145Personally,i'd like it if he appeared in his normal form(with a few tweaks, such as green no longer being his ambient color), but at times there are things that hint at the full might underneath the surface: change in voice, sudden increase in pressure, sudden and slow warpage of his form that is quickly fixed. The simpleness of the form only makes people more nervous because of the difference between it and his apparent strength.
>>1933453The issue is it's hard to visualize an undead avatar of all 4 setting powers. I would like it if it had a touch of Eldridge Divine biblical angle
>>1933502I'm likening the faceless look on this guy
>>1933509>Jadyk emerges from the cocoon>His flesh has grown back>MFW
this is jadek when you step to his allies
>>1933502Thats why i'd prefer something simple. Ghul looked a tad skeletal and he was all Void. Im not saying that we cant have a bit extra or maybe even multiple forms, but the standard "walking and talking" form should be something simple, yet distinct. Not some many angled, many dimensional "thing" , though your image is closer to what I was thinking(still just a wee bit too eldritch)
>>1933502>>1933509Honestly I think the lovecraft style angles are a good representation of us becoming both abomination and salvation It's a good way of expressing both ideas
>>1933826But we should look a bit Eldritch, we are abomination.
What if we model our new form after the young races under Jadyk's protection, like the Stonestar and Ructu and Plainstriders? So we might have an external exoskeleton and scales layered on top of unliving muscle with a second skeleton underneath. Jadyk's head and face could be humanoid, but with external mandibles. A second set of eyes, or maybe just a glowing third eye that ripples with the energies he contains. He could retain his tall stature, but be more filled out because of the muscle, and he could have a second set of arms. Maybe even include a tail?I mean, shit, Jadyk is going to be as close to true divinity as any mortal has ever witnessed first-hand.
>>1933848Of course. I just think it would be nice if he had a mortal-ish form, similar to his current one(with a few differences) and an unsealed one, in which he lets takes his "true form". Yours seems even closer to what I was thinking of.I just like to imagine him appearing in person in the Confederacy Legislative building because they want to yell at him or something, he strolls up in a simple skelly form, they start lambasting him, we calmly tell them why they are full of shit, and when they start slinging threats and insults towards our people, then we show our form and have the entire building/ everything in a 100 mile radius(including minds) reverberate with just how sick of their shit we are.We are Abomination and Salvation but we are The Conquering Worm. We started from next to nothing and, through our own persistence, achieved Transcendence. We must not forget from whence we came: a simple corpse(with a KAWAII DESU NE worm)
>>1933877This is kiiiiinda what I was thinking, though broader and with less detail than I'd wanted. But, quick sketch, so fuck it.Also, I thought that maybe Jadyk's new form could incorporate all of the various elements that make up the Armada; not just the powers of Arc, Void, Necrotic and Solar, but even those things used by our allies and friends. So, his new form includes Dirge crystals emerging from various points on his body, while his shoulders have 'natural' pauldrons that evoke gnarled roots and branches or the massive antlers or Catoblas, and he could wear a ceremonial ceramic armor and obsidian to represent the close relationship with Bastion and the Lavafather.
>>1934183Make each of those orbs be planet sized for a scale reference and you have my.full support Pic looks awesome by the way
>>1934198Danke.Honestly, now that I look at it again, it reminds me of Yoshimitsu and General Grevious.
>>1934183I like it.
>>1934183I think a good way to represent haveing all the powers is to have white be the primary part of his new color scheme, because white contains all the colors of the rainbow and we contain all the powersAlso your pic looks like this one I found >>1933969My idea is that because we are abomination we should always look a bit eldritch, we are already limiting it but it can only be hidden in part.
>>1934183Oh damn that's pretty sweet. While I'm still debating with myself about Jadyk's upgrades and if any of it is cosmetic, this could easily be one of his many forms from the Old Armada. Also looks like a fusion of Nekris and Valresko, who were in turn each inspired partially but General Grievous
>>1934391I've just grown used to use being a cool skeleton. It's simple, but that's part of the appeal.
>>1934767But we are a skeleton that GLOWS!!
guys..... if we can manipulate the arc and void. we can make illusions on ourselves. so we look like a skeleton but when we mad. we grow a burning solar cape, twisting horns of green, claws of arc and a mask of void. big booming voice and we look stylish as fuck.but this is intimindation, in a battle its inpractical and in violation of murpheys laws of combat
>>1933520I want this
We'll be continuing the thread tomorrow at the normal time.I had hoped to finish the "day" in a midweek continuation but my schedule has been weirdly busy this week.
Looking at the prisoners list and don't see the rogue necromancer that Jor and the Commander took down in Refuge.Did he get Reconstructed or just forgotten?
>>1941158Did you read the archives too? He was turned into weapons for jor.
Thread resuming in a few.>>1941158The rogue Necromancer Martin Graim is currently a prisoner and somehow he fell off the list when I was updating it or I somehow forgot to add him to it.I was sort of waiting for the Invasion to wrap up before addressing him proper.>>1941391The Caretaker that was in charge of Ruscuvs reanimation and took Jors arm as the catalyst for it was used as the sacrifice for the creation of Desolation. The ritual also utilized the fossilized Talon skull he gained from the Masked in his own challenge, topping the staff itself. The remains of the human Immortal that unlocked Graim's potential and set the Refuge Crisis into motion were used in the same ritual to craft himself a set of powered armor for the next time he has to get his hands dirty.
>>1941422After the holoscreen of the Blackscale Necromancer flickered out Jor was silent in the darkness of the chamber for a few minutes before a thought as another hologram is projected before him that he stares at while waiting. Moments later a hologram of Commander Rethak appears beside him.The osjiic undead gives a quick bow to the human, "First Necromancer," he says in a serious tone.Jor turns and gives a similar bow, "Commander Rethak," he says in an equally serious tone before they both laugh at themselves and the formality, "Thank you for answering so quickly, my friend."Nodding Rethak folds his arms across his chest, "Of course. Filling in for Jadyk must be stressful so if you need my aid, just ask.""Nothing too important right now, I know you're busy seeing to the Urdir system and Legion's Home, but I thought I'd get your opinion on something," Jor says, his jovial mood souring as he motions to the hologram that would appear before Rethak as he stood in a private chamber of the Mirrorsoul Battleship."I thought Jadyk killed him," Rethak says in a cold voice as they look at the form of the rogue Necromancer Martin Graim as he floated in a med-pod somewhere deep below Iti'a'Ropku."They were healing from our battle with him and then Arc Surge and the invasion distracted him," Jor says as data about the humans health and mental readings are displayed, "It appears that the Symbiot implanted in him and the Think Tanks psionics cannot penetrate his dreams or mindscape. They theorize it is because he is a Necromancer not of Jadyk's influence.""All the more reason to dispose of or Reconstruct him. I know Jadyk has an obsession with reforming the wayward and lost, giving his enemies second chances. But this Necromancer, this human," Rethak spits out disdainfully, "Has caused suffering on an untold scale. He didn't launch an attack against a military equipped civilization, he unleashed a plague upon helpless millions. They are beyond redemption."Jor was silent a moment before he answers, "I agree with you, fully, Rethak. If I was the one who had to choose their fate, I would throw them into a Cauldron right now and be done with it. I hardly wish to even speak with them after I saw what he did, when I looked through his memories in our battle with him as I tore his control of the undead hordes from him. I saw the carnage he unleashed and no punishment either of us could conceive would be enough.""Then what do we do?" Rethak questions simply. What shall Jor and Rethak do concerning the rogue Necromancer for now?>Write-in
>>1941551He's Jadyk's little project, doing something to it in his stead wouldn't be wise. Leave it, let him rot until Jadyk returns, then bring up what we believe his fate should be then.
>>1941551>Jadyk has plans for him, but I don't want him in Iti'a'Ropku a moment longer. I've considered having him buried in the tunnels of the moon, or in the ark temple above Rukor until he is needed, but with the battle in Bastion still needing to be cleaned up and the moon still being too close for comfort I happened on a pleasant thought. Would you mind taking him on at Legions home? Maybe as a trophy of some sort? He was captured more by the blood of your legionaries than the necromancers after all. That and though Im sure Legions Home isnt the most secure of all places with the wraiths about, and has its own repairs to deal with, I think it is quite far from any where he could cause harm to the innocent, having him surrounded by veteran warriors who would kill him sooner than let him breathe under his own power seems quite secure.I'd want to continue to keep him in stasis of course, unless you can think of a safe way to make use of him yourself.

>>1941551I suggest we use him as a test and get the necromancer of the Armada to reconstruct him into a hero unit. Maybe as a test of their ability since we got about as much info as we are going to get out of him without using a Nid on him and wasting a potential hero unit Cause if the symbiotis ineffective I doubt a dominion shard will work any better

>>1941972Wait for Jadyk but I do want his reconstruction to be a necromancer group project. Jor showed his skill when helping with Tlacex reconstruction.>>1942038Yes I support the necromancers playing with the snake corpses to see what they can make
>>1941972Maybe I just missed it, but we ran the queen off to make something out of her yes? Also how is grandpa snake feeling right now? Can we use him to help get our prisoners to feel more at ease?
>>1941972Jor rubs at his chin with a finger for several long moments before he lets out a sigh and shakes his head, "As much as I wish I could throw him into the Cauldrons myself, it is up to Lord Jadyk to order it. I will plead my case to him once he awakens but the final say should remain up to him."Rethak nods, "I figured as much," he says while looking at the hologram of the unconscious Necromancer before waving it away."I must return to overseeing this system. Just contact me should you need me again, Jor," the Immortal gives a quick salute."Of course, thank you Rethak," Jor says with a quick bow and the hologram of the Voidsinger flickers out.Looking to the image of the Necromancer for some time Jor shakes his head and waves his hand, the image flickering out as he turns his attention to other matters.>Necromancer Graim will remain in stasis until Jadyk can deal with himAssign the Necromancers orders to Reconstruct an Ahkam corpse?>Yes (Jor assists)>Yes (Jor does not assist)>No
>>1942154>YJor can assist on the next one, Lets see what they can come up with when Red Leaf Strains is at the helm. Plus hes busy running the Armada at the moment.
>>1942154>YJor's got shit to do.
>>1942154Yes (jor helps with the first one).
>>1942208maybe just observing and offering tips, we need him free since reconstruction of a hero unit takes hours? And we still need to speak with the Plant captain and Crab people Council
>>1942154Yes (Jor can help)Also I want to see if for the next one Red-Leaf could more than one to create some hydra necrotic thing, kinda like how Gral was made from several people.
>>1942154As Jor turns his mind to other matters the Deep Rot sends an alert to him originating from the Eyegore in the Tura system. Waving his hand Jor has an array of holoscreens appear before him displaying footage taken by the Eyegore and its remote drones.Much of the forces within the system had been directed toward the invasion sent after your systems, leaving a relatively minor fleet presence to stand guard. This weakness was currently being exploited as Jor watches bursts of Voidlight and radiation marking the arrival of Osjiic Empire fleets. The picket forces over Tura-Ve and Tura-Ro quickly moving to intercept the invaders but it was clear from the beginning that the once strictly controlled Ahkam forces were suffering from internal confusion and possible strife as ships were slow to action or even entirely absent from formations.Jor watches in morbid curiosity as the Empire begins its assault with a slightly larger force, surprised they would launch such a brazen attack with the Arc Surge hardly weakened. A short message is sent along from the Voidknights who state they are already aware of the situation and monitoring it closely. They have also gone to high alert in preparation for defending against possible Imperial incursions in spite of the supposed ceasefire instigated by 13 Ascendant Blade.Already Imperial bombers had breached the atmosphere of the worlds and began their bombardments with strikecraft assaulting the space elevator already damaged by Ruscuvs dramatic raid on Tura-Ve. The system falls into chaos and Jor can do little more than watch before turning his mind away from it. While he sympathized for those who may gladly abandon the Ahkam and join them were engaged in fighting against the invaders he knew it was not his place to order an invasion to protect potential recruits.>The Ahkam system of Tura is currently under assault by Osjiic Empire forcesThe Deep Rot once more displays matters of importance they believe Jor can handle>The Armatocere Warleader and Sapling Slrrt wish to speak with Jadyk or a General>The Smugglers are attempting to contact Jor concerning their route and the complications encountered on Veraga>The Ructu council of elders on Rukor wish to speak>The ships sent to investigate the world of Nest with the Armatocere arrived and await commands
so just did the maths for Flagships..We have enough Biomass to make 596But only enough metal to make 98.2 flagships... we need to get our minning income into shape.Currently only 4 planets have either Fingers or space elevators. these are Horizons drop Rukor Bastion [I suggest we build on these as it will have the lease impact on general build orders and ease contruction. I should also suggest we build a hell of alot more fingers.. cause we want a firm wormstar fist on ever planet we hold. So i suggest we make 4 flagships. 1 for each of the elements. 1 Void, 1 Solar, 1 Arc and... well for the 4th im thinking for the legion as the Punishers currently have one with Lava father [also if we havent we should share tech for building flagships with the lava father] Cost per FlagshipCost: 150,000B 770,000M, takes 10 Days to finish>cost 4 flagships>600,000B >3,080,000MTotals after flagships88,813,000B72,580,000M

>>1942337>>1943518I don't see anything to plan for Kanda, and I think it's a mistake. I was the anon who proposed to transform it into our factory-forteress. After all, the Osjiic already pollued this planet to the core, I don't think we should be worried about the ecologic impact of our installation here. This planet was the center of their industry in this system for a reason; we should start to build great mine, factory, etc.The biomass needs of the population and the population themselve would dwell under great bio-dome. I think about a "cluster of bubbles" idea with one great biodomes for the population to live in and a number of smaller dome around it, who serve specialised need. The Capital would of course be the biggest one. The rest of the planet outside of the dome would basicly be : Mine-Factory - Exploitation - Defense System- Forteress....
>>1943561If people are for it then sure, but I have a few questions first. 1 do we have undisputed control2 has the population been moved off world or into processing plants to make them into happy little Citizens3 are all the prisoners imprisoned I would hate to spend alot of resources setting up the planet only to find theres some happy little insurgents with a dirty bomb ready to knock it over. how ever if our control is even just 80% im happy to risk it and add the costs to the above build order because i agree, its going to be our industrial powerhouse and a good jumping point into osjiic territories.
>>1943561This does sound good, maybe we could even try making lake sized cauldrons, turn it into vampire counts take over a forgeworld type vibe going.
>>1943576I think we cleansed any resistance since a longtime. The Battle of Kanda was a life time ago, and there is not many place to hide outside of the City-forteress.

For the first time in several hours light not cast by holograms fill the chamber as the doorway of chitin flexes open much larger than it had to allow Jor entry. Stepping through was the large form of Red-Leaf-Strains, her staff folded neatly against the armor of her torso ready at hand, her gargoyle familiar draped loosely across her shoulders as it looked at the human with its large red eye.Jor turns and gives a bow to the much larger Necromancer who returns the gesture, the trinkets of bone and metal woven into her braided mane jangling softly. Many were gifts from the new citizenry she helped acclimate during their migration from Kanda and those "adopted" by the Armada through other circumstances, the matronly osogo feeling compelled to help them adjust comfortably much as she had and still does with the stream of pilgrims of her own people."How goes the task of overseeing the Armada? Not too stressful I hope," the plainsrunner says with a squinted smile and flick of her ears."I do not envy Lord Jadyk, I will admit," he replies with a chuckle. With a wave of his hand a nearby brazier ignites with Necrotic flames, illuminating a corner of the darkened chamber, "How are the new Necromancers?""Most are adept learners. As you predicted, the ructu students are among my fastest learning. I almost envy the skill at which they guide the Necrotic," she says with pride. As they spoke they move over to the brazier, drawn to the corrosive energy as if to a comforting fire.Jor smiles, "That is good to hear. I cannot express how much I have grown to rely on your skills with the civilians and training of the apprentices."With a modest bow of her head Red-Leaf-Strains, "You honor me, First Necromancer Jor.""Don't have to call me First Necromancer when we're just having a discussion, my friend," he says and the osogo gives a snort of laughter, "But back to why I called you up, Red-Leaf-Strains."With Lord Jadyk out of commission for the moment, it falls to the Generals and I to see to ensuring as many of the Ahkams forces surrender peacefully. Already the Deep Rot reports numbers in the thousands of surrendering soldiers. Even a few of the serpents themselves," he says with a voice of calm seriousness."I have been keeping an eye on the events myself. There will be many that will need my help accepting the truth of the Wormstar and Lord Jadyk," she says with a near zealot certainty."That you will, my friend. But first, I believe we can assist the matter of ensuring the peaceful surrender of our future converts," with a flick of his wrist a holoscreen is displayed for them, showing the image of three vast pods similar to med-pods but containing the preserved forms of slain Ahkam. The screen showed them being unloaded from the hidden passages that ran through-out Iti'a'Ropku into the main Reconstruction chamber of the Necromancers Spire several floors below them.>cont
>>1949659"I would have you join me in Reconstructing the corpses of these false gods into something befitting of their failures. They will be a sign to all that the Ahkam are nothing more than mortals like those they would enslave and a far cry from the gods they believe themselves to be," Jor says with a conviction that swells up inside him as visions of monstrous serpentine beasts fill his mind.Red-Leaf-Strains bobs and nods her head eagerly, "Of course, Jor, I can nearly see them now. Shall I gather the eldest of our students?""Yes, recall Necromancer Klikli as well. Tell him that Graim won't be going anywhere. Make sure you get the twins as well, they will be invaluable. Tell them they can join Guir after they assist us," Jor says, rattling off preparations for the osogo Necromancer to make until he turns to her."Prepare the rituals and summon our students. I shall join you when they have all arrived and we shall commence. Until then, I must play politician," he says with a chuckle, "I will admit, the Armatocere are peculiar but they are easier to deal with than nearly any other faction I have met.""It is my belief that the Wormstar guided you and Rethak to meet Slrrt that day. The Undead and the Floral, strange partners but effective ones so far," she pauses in thought, her ears flitting briefly then nodding firmly, "I trust them Jor. I believe Lord Jadyk does as well."Wormstar guide and protect you, Jor," she says before turning and departing from the chamber, leaving Jor alone standing by the brazier of green flame. He looks into its depths for several long moments before letting it fade to nothingness and turning to a new holoscreen that showed the images of Sapling Slrrt and the cacti Warleader stationed in Bastion. He smiles jovially, "Ah, sorry for the delay in answering you, it has been a very eventful day."

Mentally thanking the Deep Rot Jor gives a bow of his head, "Thank you, Warleader. I hope everything is well on your part in the aftermath of the Ahkams attack.""Resource expenditure was within acceptable parameters. It was regrettable our weaponry proved less effective than expected against the Matriarch but it provided much data for the Mind-Vines to process," the Warleader states."If you mean that weaponized, miniature star, consider the Armada impressed. I've had Think Tanks buzzing in my ear nearly all day asking that I speak to you about trading for it," he says with a wry chuckle."Trade of knowledge, particularly military secrets, is forbidden for those of my standing and entails a severe punishment for such a breach," the cacti says matter-of-factly through the monotonous tone.Jor holds up his hands defensively and begins to reassure the Warleader when Sapling Slrrts synthetic voice cuts in, "I am quite qualified to initiate discussions of trade of intelligence but military secrets of such order require contact with the Parliament. I can initiate the process if that is what you wish, First Necromancer.""Woah, hold on there," he says motioning for the pair to quiet themselves and Slrrts voice trails off with a pop of static, "I would like to wait for Lord Jadyk to return before initiating anything such as that," he hesitates with a slight grimace as there is a bit of mental static from dozens of Think Tanks calling out at him but he ignore it, "However, I believe it was you that wished to speak with me? What can I do for you, I cannot express how much I and the Armada at large appreciate and respect all the aid the Armatocere Collective has shared with us in our times of crisis."The petals of Slrrts "face" quiver as his voice drones out, "Yes, we are thankful as well that we were able to provide aid and we wish to provide it further. We witnessed the destruction wrought by their forces and have calculated that the Armada will be taking on at least tens of thousands of prisoners and defectors. Already ships in the Yrre system are assembling shipments of food and medical supplies. They shall arrive in the Bastion system within a Horizon's Drop day," he says, his speed and tone hardly varying in a way that was a slight challenge for the human to follow."Your charity is much appreciated, Slrrt. We can pay in trade of metal ores if you wish, Lord Jadyk would be happy to," Jor says.>cont
>>1949887It was the Warleader who answers, the strangely formed eyes tucked between the folds and ridges of green flesh and sharp spines regarding him coolly as the equally cold voice speaks, "The soldiers, slaves in fact, of the Ahkam serpents are as much victims of an oppressive force as were those in the Refuge system to come under threat of the undead swarms. We of the Collective, and I personally, believe that your Armada is currently the best chance at rehabilitating them to coexist peacefully with the rest of the galaxy. This belief is why I and my grovemate volunteered to defend your systems," there is a popping of static before they speak once more, "They regret not facing the Ahkam in battle in defending Horizon's Drop, but state they are glad to have done so."It took a moment for the Deep Rot to inform Jor that they referred to the cacti Warleader in charge of the colossal Treeships currently orbiting Horizon's Drop. Jor smiles and gives a bow of his head, "Tell them I am thankful to have their protection. Horizon's Drop feels all the more safer with their presence."Was there anything else you wished to speak of?" he questions, looking to Slrrt. There is a delay before the Sapling speaks, their silhouette brightening slightly, "Our sensors in the Treeships defending the Bastion system have, obviously, detected mass amounts of Arc energy throughout. In particular, we have detected several anomalies through the system comprised of Arc, gravitational, and even interdimensional energies. The Mind-Vines say such combinations may have dangerous repercussions but a wealth of knowledge. This may be a request that you feel more comfortable asking Lord Jadyk but they say time may be of the essence."The Collective proposes stationing a science team within the Bastion system to begin studying these anomalies. The Mind-Vines propose making it joint effort if that will ease suspicions of our intent," Sapling Slrrt states quite simply.>The Armatocere Collective wish to station a science team to study the new Arc Anomalies within the Bastion system and ask for permission to initiate their own study or a joint effort with the Think TanksHow shall Jor reply?>Write-in>The Armatocere are also assembling shipments of food and medical supplies to be delivered to the people of Rukor, Bastion, and the Ahkam captives/defectors
>>1949894Its not for us to say, since things are still developing and Jadyk's "condition" is for him to talk about. Warn them about Arc "entities" that may cause trouble and the potential appearance of more of them, maybe even entities of other energies. Once Jadyk is no longer indisposed and has taken stock of the current situation, he may tell them more.
>>1949894Joint effort They might pick up on something we might miss and the things that came out did just sort of blink out so having another faction able to keep an eye out for the bastards might be a good way to track them down so we can put them back in their box
>>1949894Agree, but ensure that they don't show up until after Jadyk wakes up again. We don't know what'll happen when the cocoon breaks. Maybe frame it as wanting to wait until all prisoners/salvage is accounted for?
>>1949894Tell them it's a ok to work with us on this subject, but warn them about the potential dangerosity of the project and how those "entity" might not like the attention.

>>1950116...They've already seen him manifest three out of the four Elements. Doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to see what direction he's headed towards.

We won't be able to dedicate our full resources to it immediately due to the aftermath of the invasion but we will give what we can spare at first," Jor says and already he can sense through the Deep Rot as Reconstructed and Think Tanks are taken from their tasks and reassigned on a moments notice, others in the vast sea of undead quickly filling in."The science team shall arrive with the supplies. The Mind-Vines once more thank the Armada for the chance to learn more about the universe with its aid," Sapling Slrrt says."It is an honor, Sapling Slrrt. Be warned though, initial observations seem to imply that at least some of these anomalies may serve as doorways or passages for interdimensional entities. We have witnessed unknown lifeforms emerging from the Arc and using some form of personal FTL it seems. Our Arc specialists say we must remain cautious so I would suggest including defensive measure to join the science team," Jor cautions, Nekris having caught wind of the conversation and sending his warning to the Necromancer through the Deep Rot."All science teams are accompanied by security teams. It is standard procedure that has remained unchanged for centuries among the Collective," the Warleader states and Jor is uncertain if they say it with pride or as a simple statement."The Mind-Vines report their initial targets for study would be the anomalies detected near the deathsite of the Matriarch in Rukors atmosphere and the peculiar storms and readings coming from the second planet in the system," Slrrt states, referring to the vast Arc induced storms that have formed across the toxic world that had been the staging ground of their invasion and the site of many destroyed Ahkam warships."Very well. The Think Tanks state they are quite eager to begin the projects as well, they are already forming theories they wish to share and test," Jor says with a chuckle."As are the Mind-Vines. Thank you for your time, First Necromancer Jor. As a note, the Eldertrees state that upon Lord Jadyk's return to consciousness, that he may send his Harbinger envoy to meet with the Parliament upon the Worldtree Yggdrasil," Slrrt says almost off-handedly in comparison to the sudden buzz of excitement from the Deep Rot and its connected Think Tanks.>cont
>>1950236"Thank you, Sapling Slrrt. Lord Jadyk spoke with excitement at being able to witness the glory of the Worldtree for himself," Jor hesitates, having heard about the Harbingers development from reading reports concerning the Think Tanks new project into studying the development of intelligence in Reconstructed, "Has the Harbinger been a good guest?" he asks suddenly.Slrrts floral "face" bobs, his stalked eyes twisting slightly, "An ideal and welcomed guest from what I hear. The locals have begun calling them what roughly translates to Friendly Fossil in the Mind-Vines written language. Some have begun attempting to show them around the grove to some success, the Harbinger following along in silence and observing what is pointed out to them before returning to their typical seat in a rest and solar absorption area. In fact, their presence has spurred an increase of discussion concerning the Armada among the locals.""Good things, I hope," Jor says with a chuckle"Positive opinions do appear to be eclipsing negative opinions quite well in recent weeks," Slrrt says, Jor realizing it was among the closest thing to a confirmation of the Armatocere Collectives general approval of the Armada."I am glad to hear that, Sapling Slrrt," the human says. Was there anything Jor should ask or question of the Armatocere before moving onto other matters?>Yes (write-in)>No, move on

>>1950361Research gained:>Arc Anomalies:Medium, Potentially Dangerous - A joint study by the Think Tanks and Mind-Vines to examine and assess the various anomalies left in the aftermath of the Arc Surge and Ahkam Invasion within the Bastion system. After bidding farewell to the Armatocere Jor stepped away from where he had been conducting the matters of importance to greet a Talon carrying a platter of food for him. As he took a break to eat, his time in Iti'a'Ropku helping return at least a portion of his appetite, he looked over the matters he had left to attend to. The ructu council of elders and crew of smugglers both waiting for his attention. The partially eaten steamed bun of rukorian crab and Bastion fungal-lichen fell from his hand as a sudden flurry of mental activity causes the human to clutch at his head, a variety of alerts sounding off. With a wave of his hand the holoscreens leap to life and show the alerts from the sensors stationed along the outer rim of the Bastion system.Grav sensors had detected what seemed like a small extrasolar meteor moving at FTL speeds only to detect the tell-tale traces of a gravity ripple of something dropping out of FTL. The light and radiation burst was detected later as the image displays a burst of light and energy as a compact ovoid appears.Jors stomach turns sour as he watches the nondescript ovoid twist as if like putty and reshape itself into a somewhat familiar form. For Agona and Muic who's orders launched interceptors with advanced skip-drives after only a moments notice, the image was all too familiar. The sleek form of the strange faction within the Throne system sent Muics anger flaring as she orders her Pyroclastic Destroyer to take her to it.Yet as the strange vessel floated along the outer rim of the system it had not moved, instead seeming to observe in a patient wait. By the time only minutes later as the flashes of light and radiation announced the arrival of the first rapid response corvettes the vessel had already disappeared in its own flash of light with a deceptively short ramp up of momentum.Jor could feel the anger of the Punishers through the Deep Rot and moments later holograms of both towering undead appear before him.Muic bows her head with a salute, "I fear they have followed me home," she says.Agona shakes her own, "Do not blame yourself. They knew about the Arc so they could have easily tracked the presence of the Ahkam here," she turns her eyeless gaze to Jor, "Either way, they know where we are."Jor sighs as he runs his hand across his scalp, "An unfortunate but likely inevitable occurrence. Did anything of their remains get recovered along with Muic for study? I see no mention in the Think Tanks.">cont
>>1950922"The Obsidianborn attempted to haul in amounts of debris but the samples continued to break down during transport. Observation says it looks like it crumbled like sand only," she pauses as if unsure how to proceed, "The actual amount of tangible remains left behind are only a mere fraction of their mass upon entering the holds of the Obsidianborn ships, the rest seeming to...evaporate as it disintegrated with no recordable emissions beyond a faint luminescence. Similar to dust the Obsidianborn have been studying it but cannot decipher its secrets.""Why are we only hearing of this now?" Jor questions for the Think Tanks demanding the same.Jor had known Agona since she was first Reconstructed and even though he did not have much personal interaction with the juggernaut of a General, this was the first time he believes he had seen a sheepish Reconstructed.Giving a small cough she scratches at her chin with a claw that could rend apart a warships hull, "In the excitement of recovering Muic and the invasion I suppose I had forgotten," she is silent for a few moments before continuing, "The Lavafather apologizes and states they had wished to prove their scientific value to Jadyk by unlocking the secrets of these "Fractoids" as the Obsidianborn call them."Jor gives a nod, the cry of the Think Tanks indignation abating as the Think Tanks within Agona's fortress on Bastion are sent the data already attained by the Obsidianborn with a message assuring the transport of existing samples. He glances over the footage of the corvette sized craft and its deceptively small gravity well, the sensor readings giving contradictory information, "This new foe is quite peculiar," he mutters to himself."Just another in an ever growing list," Muic says with a nonchalant shrug, "As with the Matriarch, they will fall before Jadyk and unveil their secrets to him," her voice full of conviction as she turns to salute to Jor, "First Necromancer, I swear that should they return again, I will do all in my power to ensure the safety of the Armada and its allies.""May the Wormstar guide you, Punisher Muic," he says in the Wormtongue and Muics image flickers out.He looks to Agona whose hologram lingers, "Was there something else, Agona?">cont
>>1950925She is silent for a moment then gives a slight nod, "I admit this oversight was my mistake, I was wrapped up in the matters as I said," she holds up a hand to cut off Jor as he tries to reassure her, "However, I am...perturbed that the Lavafather decided to keep the research contained to his own researchers rather than utilize the resources of the Armada and Deep Rot."Jor blinks in startled surprise, "Can...can he hear you?"Agona shakes her head, "I blocked my connection temporarily. It is not uncommon to do so when discussing matters that do not concern the Obsidianborn or the Lavafather.""You aren't suggesting he is being duplicitous are you?" Jor asks somewhat incredulously but hides it well enough from his voice. She is silent for a moment then shakes her head, "It could be as he said, wishing to impress Jadyk. However, I just found it odd. It could be nothing," she hesitates then bows her head, "Forgive my paranoia, First Necromancer. Thank you for listening to me."Jor gives a bow of his own, "It is fine, Agona. I pray to the Wormstar that it is as he said, but if it is not..." he trails off and the Punisher nods."It will be up to Jadyk to decide the next action," she finishes for him.Research gained:>Fractoid Remains:Slow - The dust like remains of the strange robotic appearing entities within the Throne system superficially resembles simple sand or quartz dust and resists initial tests to study its composition

>>1950929Talk about an archive binge to get here. What a quest, Grave, this is amazing.Lavafather no. Pls be good and not a huge fucking dickbag
I don't think the lava father was trying to be insidious. I think he was trying to exercise some individual freedom. He is an ally not a slave and should have the freedom to do his own thing
>>1951650He's more of a vassal, ain't he?
>>1952536A fairly autonomous one though. Unless we ask for troops, we usually let him do his own thing. He could just want more independence(not in a secessionist way). Once Jadyk wakes up, this is another thing he has to look into.
>>1950929Okay. So instead of punishing Lavafather, as we really don't know why he's done this, we should have him assist the research. Then when Jadyk wakes up, ask him if he knows anything about them. Being a group of anti-necrotic beings that utilise strange technology, the Lavafather may know something about them from his days as a Wasp.
Y'know, I don't think the Lavafather was trying to be duplicitous; rather, I think he might have recognized some small part of these 'Fractoids'.Remember, the Lavafather was once one of the ancient Wasps who were allied with the Crystals, whom delivered such fatal wounds to the old Necrotic Armada. And all of the samples resemble quartz dust or sand...Maybe these Fractoids are their modern descendants?
Fractoids seem to be super effective against elements specifically our but pop from arm or lava tech. Perhaps we need more ships that work using purely conventional weapons tech as opposed to elemental as the kinetic rounds seemed most effective against the bastards So question is can we build non necrotic ships? Or should we just refit a bunch of captured enemy with necrotic pilots and computers while keeping their pure mechanical nature until we can figure out a way to one up the bastards without suffering excessive losses
>>1952922Redundant systems are the way to go, I guess. We make some ships that are elementally infused/ contains elemental components, but if they are rendered inert/drained, the rest of the ship can still function adequately.
>>1953124I don't recall any draining. More that they were resistance to necrotic damage. So the focus needs to be on having some non-necrotic damage potential, rather than being able to function without the internal use of necrotic energy. Then again, we probably haven't seen all their tricks, and as far as we can tell they're purpose-built to counter Necrotic factions. Maybe we need to have Arc-based ships to deal with them? I recall kinetic and geokinetic/lava attacks working well too.
>>1953577Yeah threading drain anything g just cut us the Fuck up.But I think he means give ship combo engines so if something can shut down or counter necrotic energy sources it's doesn't rekts our shrekts
I don't remember this ever being mentioned, but if were were to make a truly giant ship, like the charnel vault. could we theoretically have many different elemental reactors. so we could switch between the energy we want to fire?the only two reasons I can see wrong here are it wouldn't fit with the mechanics and it might have a tendency to eat any residual energy of another type that had passed through the wires.
>>1953869I'm not sure that making one jack-of-all-trades ship would be better than just making several ships and deploying them as needed. It sounds like having multiple redundant power or sewer systems in a single city. You've spent a lot of resources on that and have no room for anything else. That's just my guess though. All that really matters is Grave's assessment of what this universe's tech makes feasible. Maybe you could have conduits throughout the ship that can take any elemental type after some attuning time to switch.
>>1953886I thinks we could maybe do that but that would require our personnal oversight. Maybe the Charnel Vault will be reforged to fit the new state of it's master; but I don't think we will be able to do this on a larger scaller (or that we should, it would be kinda lame). On the same note, I can't wait to see what Jadyk will be able to reconstruct with his new powers. Imagine a monstruosity like Grul, with fours arms, each wielding a elemental power to bring the glory of the Armada on the battlefield.
>>1954289Before anything else, Jadyk should probably to "stretches' with his new powers. If there is a breaking point or some bad combination of powers, its best to know as soon as possible and not when he is fighting seriously. On another note, I wonder what the Mask think of the current predicament. They probably know that there are other beings who can freeze time relative to themselves, and, even more importantly, Jadyk may be on track to rewrite the laws of physics. We might even polarize the Mask to such an extent where they could be called divided and that would make them more active then ever(and thats terrifying). For millennia their society seems to just have been the equivalent of an endless assortment of betting pools. If they all focus on one "bet" things will get messy.2nd subject:That Bitch. We have seen here wraiths attack us or people we are talking with(not killing), so either she gives them near complete autonomy, or she is fucking with us. Either way, WHAT DOES SHE WANT? We have been growing in power at an unprecedented rate, and if I was her, I would either eat us at peak ripeness(either just before we are strong enough to beat her, or via some kind of device or artifice) or use us for her own ends. She hasnt had a fall in power, so she is certainly stronger then we have ever known her. She honestly scares me simply because she is one of the three strongest entities(along with the head Matriarch and the Osjic Emperor) who can physically interact with the galaxy(unlike the Masked or the Sunscales gods). and unlike the former two, she is not bound by government management. She could float up to Horizens drop and end us.On a lighter and more amusing note, its funny just how out of their depth the Confederacy seems at times. They know so little about the energies that full the cosmos. Nabbing that one talon was probably a huge boost for them, even though they will get relatively little out of them. I so desperately want Jadyk to demonstrate his power to a bunch of assholish Confed officials. One last item: I've been in love with the idea of terrafroming the Netu's old worlds and gaining their eternal gratitude. The Old Armada was responsible for torching them(especially That Bitch) and the Old Alliance gave left them out in the cold. By doing this, the Netu(and all the pirates) will become our allies in an instant. It will be a while before we get to their old worlds, but it will be one of the main objectives in that sector, right up their with the annexation of Akham and Osjic worlds.Sorry for the long shpeal. I just enjoy these threads and want to keep discussion gong
>>19548601. The masked said they owe us an explanation after the battle, so we can ask all the questions we want2. The one area that I think the Masked would give us something for free is if it would help us kill Duh Ho, since she killed one of them(or whatever the broken mask implied). As for the Confederacy, I was simply referring to how deep our tech tree will probably go and how much power we can place into a single unit(Jadyk is able to take out ships from a distance(though not as well as he used to)).
