A fantasy RPG
Hello OP. Have you had a nice week?
>>1895880>>1895882hiya, sorry the thread started late, again.Previous Episodeshttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?searchall=seeker+questYou slowly come back to your senses after being knocked unconcious by the monster and stand up again. It seems like Alina was able to finish it off using your hammer but she's suffered a lot of damage. Her leg in particular appears to be crippled.>Put your helmet back on>"Thank you for protecting me Alina, are you alright?">"Edis! Your leg! I'm so sorry Alina this is all my fault!">"Are you well enough to walk?">"Can I have my hammer back?">write in
>>1895888> "Thank you for protecting me Alina."> "Are you well enough to walk?"> "May I have my hammer back?"> "Perhaps we should cast some protection spells on each other before delving further into this cave."
>>1895888>Put your helmet back on>"Thank you for protecting me Alina, are you alright?
>>1895888>>"Edis! Your leg! I'm so sorry Alina this is all my fault!">>"Are you well enough to walk?"
Rolled 51 (1d100)Looks like more votes favour a more calm reaction to her injury >>1895984>"Thank you for protecting me Alina"You pick up your helmet an put it back on"I'm just glad you're alright">>1895920>"Are you well enough to walk?""It only hurts if I move fast or put a lot of weight on it, I'll be fine">"May I have my hammer back?""Oh sorry here you go">"Perhaps we should cast some protection spells on each other before delving further into this cave.""Yeah, I managed to cast a spell while you were unconscious! Watch, I'll cast protection from evil on you!"(She needs to roll a 20 or lower to succeed)>Take as much time as you need (up to 10 minutes) to cast Protection From Vegetables and shield on both of you>"Alright, let's see what's behind the curtain, stay close">"Wait here and rest up, I'll go find the lost tomes">write in
>>1896077> "Don't rush the incantation. I'm pretty sure that is what is messing you up most of the time." (Take as long as necessary to cast the spells)> "I'll keep an eye out for any vegetables, so just relax and take your time casting the spells."
>>1896115>"Don't rush the incantation. I'm pretty sure that is what is messing you up most of the time.""Oh, okay...">"I'll keep an eye out for any vegetables, so just relax and take your time casting the spells."Alina gets out a parchment and starts to slowly do the working out for her spells. Eventually after 20 minutes she manages to have both of you affected by Protection From Vegetables and Shield. "Hey I did it"You start moving to the next room...
>>1896235Hey OP? I know that our titular main character can accrue experience and eventually level up, but can our companions (For instance: Alina) also work like that, or is there a different kind of system for NPCs?
>>1896306Before I wanted Alina to have a reason to be able to distribute skill points. Now that she has some experience as an adventurer I'm fine with allowing the players to allocate her skill points to any skill they want. I'll just make NPCs level up when Christof does.>>1896235You proceed into the room beyond the curtain. It's basically a bedroom. With a mattress, a desk and bookshelf. There's a cabbage man sweeping the very smooth stone floor and he speaks to you as you enter."Greetings sir and madam, is there anything I can help you with today?">ignore the vegetable and search the desk or bookcase>"Who are you? What are you doing here?">"Abomination!" (kill it)>write in
>>1896413>>"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
>>1896413> "We're looking for some research documents. Do you know where we might find something like that?"
>>1896413>"Abomination!" (kill it)
>>1896469Changing my vote (>>1896463) to this...
>>1896447>"Who are you? What are you doing here?""I'm test subject A-22! Jonete created me to help her with her research. A few days ago her apprentice Ardin took a bunch of stuff from the lab and told me to carry it for him. He took me to this cave place and told me to make the floor all smooth and keep the room clean. Cleaning is fun!He starts sweeping the floor again.Alina retorts: "Cleaning is fun? You were right Christof, these things are abominations">"Is everything you stole in this room? Do you know where the research notes are?">"You robbed your creator just because some dumbass told you to?">"Do you have any idea what Ardin has been doing these last few days?">kill it>write in
>>1896565> "Is everything you took in this room?"
>>1896587>"Is everything you took in this room?""Yes, other than a wheelbarrow and a few potions that Ardin drank"
>>1896608> "Okay."> Destroy the creature
>>1896614>"Okay."You destroy the creature in a single blow>take broom>search desk>search bookshelf>write in
>>1896675> "Hey Alina, would you mind keeping an eye out for any more vegetable-men while I search the room?"> Search desk> Search Bookshelf
>>1896689>>1896691>"Hey Alina, would you mind keeping an eye out for any more vegetable-men while I search the room?""No problem"The desk has one of the research tomes which you take. There are lots of scraps of paper. Most of them are banal paintings of Ardin but you find two scrolls Polymorph, and Flight among the junk and take them. You take a wand with a Yin-Yang design, you have know idea what it does. The two remaining books on the desk are text books for teaching Alteration. You assume the shop keeper will want them back so you take them. You go to the bookshelf and find a bunch of red potions. A few more nondescript text-books and several more research tomes. You take all the books assuming the owner will want them returned. Inside a crate there's a stack of loose papers that seem related to the research. There's a sack containing rice.>Take potions>Take rice>"Alright Alina, we're done here, let's get you back to the temple">Let's scour the rest of the caves just in case there are any more survivors.>"I'll make sure no one is able to make any more of these things for a long time" (Destroy the research)>write in
>>1896869> Take potions> Take rice> Alright Alina, we're done here. Now let's get you back to the temple so we can get you patched up. I actually might need another round of healing too after that knock to the head."
>>1896891Oh shit, I forgot!Hang on let me change something:...> Take potions> Take rice> Pick up a piece of the lettuce man and hold it out towards Alina> Alright Alina, Lettuce Leave.> Wink excessively> But seriously, you've taken a bit of a beating so we should definitely get back to the temple so we can patched you up. In fact, I actually might need another round of healing too after that knock to the head."
>>1896675>I never wanted to hurt the vegemen>All the other anons are just slaughtering themHOW LONG CAN THIS GO ON
>>1896886You loot everything, even the raw rice and stupid drawings.>>1896916>"Alright Alina, Lettuce Leave."Alina rolls her eyes and punches your helmet."You already used that one yesterday">"But seriously, you've taken a bit of a beating so we should definitely get back to the temple so we can patched you up. In fact, I actually might need another round of healing too after that knock to the head.""I didn't even think it was possible for a bronze sword to penetrate an iron helm."You slowly return to Leefside. The sun is down by the time to arrive but the temple is open at all hours. A priest of Pyraura heals both of you to full hp and mends Alina's leg. >Talk to the priest>Go to the Inn>Go to the magic emporium>Go to the garrison>write in
>>1896951My logic for wiping them out is as follows:"They are abominations. They are common vegetables that were twisted into the warped countenances of humanoids and bestowed a loathsome facsimile of sapience solely for the purpose of allowing an infantile megalomaniac to play out the role of the righteous savior...The kindest thing we can do for these creatures is destroy them..."...I can't speak for everyone else however. Perhaps the other anons just really do not like vegetables?
>>1896966>Talk to the priestDidn't we have to do that collecting thing, but that the bandits were there? Am I just retarded?
>>1896973I think that the quest you are talking about was given to us by a different person in a different town. I'm pretty sure we actually haven't spoken to the priest...> Talk to the priest
>>1896986Yeah the question I asked was completely unrelated to the priest
>>1896973The Magic shopkeeper in Appleby said he'd pay you for berries that grow in a field north of Appleby. He also mentioned Bandits are camping there.>>1896972Was a bit harsh taking out the janitor tho
>>1896994> Was a bit harsh taking out the janitor thoYeah I suppose, but consider this:How long do you think it would have stood there futilely cleaning the cave floor? It's appeared to be a simple automaton designed solely to carry out orders. It appeared to have even less intelligence than the other vegemen, and seemed to happily perform any instruction given to it by any individual. Would it just continue cleaning the floor in perpetuity? What if someone came across it? Best case scenario, they freak out and kill it. Worse case scenario, a evil sorcerer researches it and we end up with a repeat of this situation, except the vegemen would probably have a more competent leader in this situation.
>>1896966> Go return the armourDon't wanna piss the guards off
>>1896973>>1896986>Talk to the priest"Lo the sacred beer of healing expurgates the malignant sobriety of injury. You are fully healed, would you like to make a donation to the temple"Alina responds, "no thank you">"Why does a goddess of beer grant healing powers?">"Got any work for an adventurer?">"Join us on our adventures, we could use a healer" (Persuade 9%)>"Do you know anything about the wish granter?">write in
>>1897103>>"Got any work for an adventurer?"
>>1897069We should definitely do this after speaking to the priest......>>1897103> "Got any work for an adventurer?"> "Do you know anything about the wish granter?"And because I am honestly curious...> "Why does a goddess of beer grant healing powers?"
>>1897108>"Got any work for an adventurer?""Not other than that harpy extermination mission my colleague gave you earlier today. I don't think it's really necessary though I'm pretty sure the last time a harpy actually killed someone was decades ago, the paladins just sort of hate monsters.">"Do you know anything about the wish granter?""Yeah! My mummy used to tell me about them in her bed time stories! Aflor used to be an independent nation with a monarchy. Even though Aflor is pretty small it was able to remain independent and powerful because we learned how to tap into the powerful magic of 'wish granters.' But 100 years ago some sort of civil war occurred and the wish granters were used as a weapons. Details vary between versions of the story but the aftermath was basically the monarchy was destroyed and the capital city Tywardreath was flooded with undead."Alina says "In Appleby the stories say there's only one wish granter, and don't mention anything about a civil war."The priest replies "Well whatever happened, Tywardreath is swimming with the living dead now and the wish granter is probably real and the cause of it">"Thanks. One more thing. Why does a goddess of beer grant healing powers?""In this age all the gods grant healing powers! In fact one of my coworkers is a priestess of Titrix the goddess of torture and she is an excellent healer. Besides alchohol is used in medicine as an antiseptic, disinfectant, and stuff, Pyraura is honestly one of the most healiest gods in my opinion.">"Oh, where I come from we only worship one god">"Your temple worships a torture god...?">"Thanks for the information I need to return some property now">write in
>>1897165>>"Thanks for the information I need to return some property now"no blasphemy in front of the nice man
>>1897165> "Thanks for the information I need to return some property now"
>>1897172>>1897181You return the town garrison to give back the equipment you borrowed. You approach one of the veteran guards and he speaks."Stranger, I can't thank you enough. If you hadn't come help me fight those vegetable men who knocked me unconscious I'd be dead right now. The captain as talked it over with all of us and we want to pay you back one. Take any item from the stuff you borrowed and we'll report it as 'missing.' Also here this is from my own pocket he offers you 50 Talons.>"Keep your money, I just want the equipment">Keep the Iron War-hammer>Keep the Iron Armour>Keep the Iron Shield>write in
>>1897273>>Keep the Iron War-hammerSickGive him a thank you
>>1897275> Take the iron armorThe hammer is nice, but I think the armor is more useful. However, if the tie isn't broken after 10 minutes, change my vote to (>>1897275)...> Thank the guard
>>1897275>>1897285>You take the Iron War-hammer.>You gain 50 Talons>You now have 124>"Thanks a lot""My pleasure, next time the towns being attacked by a horde of automatons we'll know who to call"Alina says "soooo, do you want the leather armour back?">"No you keep it, we can buy another suit before we leave town">"Yeah give it to me">write inAlso where to next?>Magic Emporium, return the stolen belongings.>Inn>write in
>>1897322>>"No you keep it, we can buy another suit before we leave town">Magic Emporium, return the stolen belongings.
>>1897322I support this (>>189733) course of action...
>>1897343How'd I fuck that up? You know what, fuck it, this is faster......>"No you keep it, we can buy another suit before we leave town"> Magic Emporium, return the stolen belongings.
>>1897332>>1897341>>1897355"Enter, I've been expecting you. Hmm... what's this? Your companion has become a mage. Welcome to the art of wizardry sister. Now, do you have my stolen research?">"here take it" (Return all books and the crate if research papers)>"Do you intend to continue your research and make more of those *things*?">"What's going to happen to your apprentice?">write in
>>1897369> We do. It wasn't easy to obtain. I recommend you child-proof your research in future. All that remains is for you to make good on your end of the bargain."
>>1897384>"We do. It wasn't easy to obtain. I recommend you child-proof your research in future. All that remains is for you to make good on your end of the bargain.""Yes, as agreed here is 200 Talons, and as promised I will instruct you or your companion in basic Alteration magic.">You now have 324 Talons>"No thank you just the Talons will be fine">"Teach me">"Teach Alina">write in
>>1897406> "Teach me"Eh, why not?
>>1897418>>1897427"You learn fast. You are much less difficult to teach than Ardin. Now you should be able to cast level 1 Transmutation spells on your own in a relaxed environment">Your Transmutation skill has increased>You learned a new spell "Feather Fall""Come back tomorrow if you want to shop"It's very late in the night. Alina has already left to get a room at the Inn.>Inn>Temple>Wander>write in
>>1897432> Check to see if the general store is open(If it is closed...)> Meet back up with Alina. Check the Inn
>>1897440>>1897473You go check to see if the general store is still open. Sure enough it's closed. You head to the inn. The keeper says Alina already rented two rooms for one hours ago and hands you a room key.You go to sleep in the cozy tavern bed. Thinking of your next destination on your quest to seek the wish granter.I think now's a decent place to end the session. Seeker quest will continue next week. See you all later. I'm really happy with the quest so far.
>>1897478A very productive session. Thanks for running OP...
>>1897478cya thanks for running
