As you finally come to stand before the gate to UA High you stop to take in the atmosphere. The chatter of the crowd surrounding you is filled with both tension and excitement, dreams and dread.
It’s hard to believe anyone standing here could be one of the next generation’s top 10 heroes, in fact, most of future top ten ought to be here.
And yet, that doesn’t distract you from the fact that there is a crowd of hundreds of hopeful students here, each aiming for one of the 40 spots in the school’s coveted Hero Department.
So are you, standing among them all with a hoodie and a baggy backpack… It sounded like a good idea at the time, being winter still, but now you are cooking yourself under the sun of an early spring day.
You pull down your hood and take a deep breath before stepping forward, into the test that may make or break your dreams.
-----
Welcome listeners to this quest! We’ll be using a slightly altered version of an already stripped down version of the ORE system. Don’t worry about anything, I’ll answer all questions about mechanics and will guide you through them all.

However now has come the time for you to answer some questions and make our main character.

>What are you?
Boy[_]/Girl[_]
>What's your Quirk?
Write in!

Both questions are independent from each other, and will be counted separately.

Gender: Girl.

Quirk: Instantaneous teleportation. So long she can visualize the place she wants to be, even a live video feed is good, she can teleport herself and anything she touches

It seems we have a girl, and a choice between some sort teleportation and object magnification!

But don't despair yet dear listeners if you want something else! I'll be counting in about 10-15 minutes, tides may still change!

>>1855446
>I feel like our power should have a weakness that we have to overcome.
Indeed! Quirks are bodily functions of a sort, after all! I'll ask it a bit later, but it wouldn't hurt to start thinking now, wouldn't it?
>>
>>1855480
Voting for short-range teleportation triggered by blinking. Every time she teleports she toggles between two slightly distinct personalities.
>>
>>1855480
Hmm... Weaknesses...

For the teleportation idea, maybe... Have it be inaccurate? I dunno, it's hard to make teleportation have a drawback. Unless something like if we fuck up we end up fused with the wall/floor.

As for the object magnification, I'm not sure on a drawback for that either. Makes us really fucking hungry if we use it too much or something?

>>1855496
Why would a teleportation quirk give split personality disorder? The risk of fucking up and getting stuck in something seems more likely.
>>
>>1855450
I mean, we could potentially do it right?
If thats too OP we could make it only work on non biological objects

Well in setting, Mt Lady is a thing. We'd be stealing her shtick if we could go giant ourselves... That'd be fun actually, a hero feud due to similar Quirks.
>>
>>1855437
Now when I'm thinking about it plain teleportation can be boring, but being able to shift places with a person we can see sounds more interesting. Imagine winning races in school by shifting with someone near the finish line or saving civilians by shifting villains away from them.
>>
>>1855506
It doesn't have to be like Mr. I-break-every-bone Midoriya.
Think of Monoma's 5min time and 1 quirk at a time limits, Uraraka's weight limit or Aoyama's time limit.

>>1855515

It would be a good support hero ability, but unless our girl is also an excellent martial artist or a gadget user to compensate for its limitations, she will be kinda useless in a fight unless we are playing support to at least one more offensive-able hero
>>
>>1855537
We'd be a very useful sidekick for a more offensive hero. Teleporting the hero into the right place at the right time.
>>
>>1855533
Yeah but remember, we'd be controlling the poor girl. She'll have split personality disorder on every decision she makes anyway.
>>
>>1855533
Hmmmm...we could make it so that in order to enlarge something she needs to shrink something with a similar size at the same rate.
Or we could restrict the amount of objects we could enlarge at a time or adding a size cap (we can only make things 3 times bigger or something).
>>
>>1855383
Supporting >>1855432
>>
OP, can you tally up the votes?
>>
>>1855552
I like the idea of needing to shrink something to make something else bigger. Sounds balanced enough to me. Actually imagine doing that with weapons. Like you swing a sword and the opponent goes to block, but you suddenly shrink the blade and stab with your knife which is NOW THE SWORD!
>>
>>1855537
You are absolutelly right, but i would personally preffer to play a support/utility hero. I think that pairing this type of quirk with gadgets can give us many options, for example droping flash grenade under our feet and then shifting places with some villain.
>>
>>1855552
I just had a thought... Say for example we shrunk a building or a car, and people were inside it... Would they shrink too, or just be crushed to death by their shrinking surroundings? Sounds like a nasty way to go, but could be useful against villains who need to die.
>>
>>1855533
I'd support the object amplification/reduction sounds fun
>>
>>1855579
The more gruesome the better. I think we should go with the latter.
>>
>>1855583
If we eventually become a villain for any reason, we'd be able to commit mass murder with ease if we went with the latter.
>>
>>1855583
>>1855592
Well you have to take into consideration that the weight is reduced too, so while it may not be a trash compactor there would be broken bones for sure
>>
>>1855579
Maybe after enough training we could shrink clothes on villains just to restrain them without causing damage.
>>
So if I'm reading this correctly. We can alter the mass/size of objects only by touch.

My suggestions for "obstacles" would be the fact that we can only use or powers via touch, we can seriously harm people, and we have some beef with Mt. Lady.

I don't think we should have a size cap but rather a limitation on our bodies that we c
ould train to increase the number of things we can shrink/enlarge at a time.
>>
>>1855606
Sounds good to me.
>>
>>1855606

I think that needing to physically touch things is already a good enough limitation, as there's a lot of quirks that are ranged or can be used to restrain the hands.

Besides, I doubt we would be strong enough to wield enlarged objects, and reduced objects would only have situational tactical uses. That's it, if not only their mass but also their weight changes. If things keeps their weight, that would make more funny the possibilities.

Also, I wonder if that would also affect organic matter or only inorganic matter

We have an enlarging/shrinking Girl!

Now, listeners, next step, Stats, Skills and Quirk dice!

Our girl's stats are as follows right now.

>Feet: 1
>Guts: 1
>Hands: 1
>Brains: 1
>Face: 1

That doesn't make a lot of sense without an explanation, doesn't it?

Feet are the stat for running fast, kicking and dodging.
Guts are your bravery, your breath for extenuating labor and core body strength.
Hands are for punching, fixing and making stuff and for blocking attacks with objects.
Brains are for noticing stuff, solving problems, reacting to threats and to remember things.
Face is your charisma, your ability to lead, lie and charm people to do your bidding.

Non of them can go over 5, with 1 being sickly/awful and 5 a natural prodigy.

Now, you have 10 points to spend here

So what will it be dear listeners, will our girl be martial artist?, a ditz? A wrestler?

...

Oh, right, quirk dice.
You have 7 of these, you can put them all into your quirk's power for the ability to affect with your quirk a mass of... let me check... 1.6 Tons, or spend some of them into finnesse to be faster and or more reliable.

Also face is charsima, not necessarily sexual appeal
>>
>>1855678

>Four points in finess, and three in power.

>>1855657

Just mention if you want Speed or Reliability.
1 Reliability makes you able to aim under pressure with no penalties, and to make called shots that can't miss.
2 Reliability means that your quirk will never fail you, and unless you are being deliberately sabotaged/attacked.

Each point of speed heightens the chance of your quirk firing up before the other guy's can!

Rather important in fights.

And about quirk power:
>1 - 50lb
>2 - 100lb
>3 - 200lb
>4 - 400lb
>5 - 800lb
>6 - 1600lb

>>
>>1855698
Finesse is the name of Speed and Reliability, not something by itself.
>>
>>1855695

Then two in speed and two in reliability for my four in finess vote.

>>1855681

I would say the almost nothing exposing route to maximize the power of charisma and charming
>>
>>1855695
Speed over reliability.
Prefferably 2 points in speed, 1 in reliability and 4 in power.
>>
>>1855703
5 power
3 Reliability
2 speed
>>
One possible weakness could be that if we change size too quickly different parts of our body start to change at different rates. Like, try to grow too fast, our arms end up growing to that size super quickly, whilst our legs grow a lot slower.

We still control what size we want to get to, it's just the time it takes individual body parts to reach that point can vary if we try and rush it.
>>
>>1855695
Two reliability, two speed
>>
>>1855741

>>

Both I think. Like we can do objects and ourselves.
>>
>>1855774
Both.
>>
>>1855741

Sounds like a fatal weakness. It would throw our character out of balance due the new weight distribution and give some inability to move properly with the out of proportion sizes. At the very least, it would make it just as fatal to opponents who receives the touch.

As for mutation, I want one because they're pretty dope, but I definitely want the mutation to be out of sorts with our actual background just for the uniqueness factor.

It would be very probably that one of our parents had the ability to grow shit, and the other had the ability to shrink shit. Since they go together like peas and carrots to give rise to our own quirk, our backstory could incorporate the idea that it was probably a quirk marriage. Probably how come we would be half-jap too, if the mom moved to a different country over it.

As for mutations, it would be pooled from an interplay of both parents. Assuming that maybe only one of them had mutation, it only needs to play along thematically with one side, if it needs to play along thematically at all.

Pufferfish may have been a stupid idea, but something floral might not be. Maybe our Mom had some kind of woodland fairy theme because of the shrinking angle, and because of that now we have inexplicable flowers growing out of our hair and we're a sparkly waif.

Could be cool because it's ironic compared to the rugged cowpoke theme.

You let your hair fall and blow be blown in the wind as you walk towards the auditorium where your pamphlet said to wait.

You unzip your hoodie down to your navel to freshen up a bit, and to turn a few heads too, but that part is a side effect.

You see a few testing their quirks on the way, including a boy just floating in place. You hope he can do more than float, or else he will just waste everyone’s time.

After crossing one of three giant doors that led… to the same auditorium? You enter and take a seat by a girl with ‘real’ horns. The call of home you guess.

“Hi.” She says with an earnest smile.

Holy cow, you feel bad for every time you thought your horns were a bother. How can she even dress.

She looks down and starts filling a small questionnaire in english… you suddenly realize that you didn’t return her salute.

>“Uh, Hi. Nice horns.” You hope your accent isn’t too noticeable.

“Yours too, nice headband, you can’t even see the band between the horns.”

Yeah, as far as quirk overlaps go, horns are common in the southern end of the USA.

You are never prone to find 2 persons with similar quirks who are not family, but if they do have, you can bet it's horns.
>>
>>1856162
>But why would they be wooden horns then?

Someone in the family had plant powers? Most likely someone in our mothers family tree.

You quickly swat her hand away.

>“No touching! They are real! You don’t want people tugging yours!”
You aren’t following any fucking trend, these are real feeling, growing-out-of-your-skull horns no matter the material.

“Sorry, not meant to in-dig...” She looks at the ceiling, like trying to remember something. “Offend, yes, that.” She does look sorry.

After watching her struggle with the language you finally ask her in plain ol’ english.
“<You ain’t from ‘round here either, ain'tcha? American?>”

She looks surprised for a second before sighing and slumping forward on her seat, you notice that her horns stopped an inch before smacking the student seated in front of her. Lucky.
>“<Thank goodness, I can barely think and translate japanese at the same time. I guess that tipped you off?>”

“<That, and the horns.>” You smirk.

>“<You talk this moonspeak better than I can, I try to memorise the dictionary and hope to not look too dumb when I speak.> She gives some final pen strokes to her questionnaire and places it facing down. “<You filled your YE-207 form, before getting here I assume. I always leave everything for the last minute>”

You quickly dig through your backpack and pull a beige folder.
YE-207… International School Skill Appraisal, it didn’t take long for you to find it but the dang thing is blank.

>“<That’s no good, you won’t be allowed to take the exam if you don’t hand that over before the buses get here.>” She sounds more confident in english than in japanese, laid back even. “<At least you have until the end of the explanation, and the teacher hasn’t even showed up.>

>“WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO MY LIVE SHOW!” On the empty stage in the middle of the auditorium, there is now a man standing. “EVERYBODY SAY HEEEEY!”

With an apologetic smile, the girl hands you her pen.

You thank her for the pen and don once more your hood to insulate yourself from the world, and mixed with the absolute lack of response the man in the stage stage got, you can concentrate on your terrible, damnable paperwork. The pen flies and scratches at the sheet while you don’t get anything more than some flashes of light and muttering from your surroundings.

“<Yeah, I’m done, care to fill me in?.>” You reply. Just in time too, all the students are standing up and heading towards a big door leading outside.

>“<I didn’t understand it all, he shoved awful english every two words, but it was all about beating robots… the biggest the most points it gave you. The top 37 get a spot at U.A.’s Hero Course.>”

Both of you walk together towards the man that gave the rundown you missed, with your beige folders in hand.

Halfway there a boy with a ponytail and his own beige folder fall in line with you.

He nods once at each of you, as if you too were privy to some secret.

The man with the speaker-collar is standing by the door ushering all the students to… buses?

You are going somewhere?

>“Heyy! You three must be this year’s last batch of foreigners, am I rite?! Hand me your files, I’ll take them to Principal Nezu, now, I know you two come from the same place so get into buses 1, 2 and 3!” he hands you a lanyard with your photo and the text “Arena C”, and gives a similar one to each of the other two. “Hurry along now!! May you gladly suffer the trials to come!”

Wait what?!

>“<Well, see you in classes!>” Your horned fellow says as she prances towards her bus.

You completely ignore the ponytailed boy and get on the bus to Arena C.

There are three open seats, one by a spiky haired ash-blonde boy, another by another blonde boy, this one with well combed hair and one by a ginger girl with a ponytail. She actually waves at you.

You return the wave to the ginger girl, but head towards the seat by the spiky boy on the middle. He looks both serious and excited, like he knows what’s going to happen on the exam and he will enjoy it. He also looks like an asshole who stretched his legs on the seat you wanted to take.
However, you know how to deal with this, you unzip your hoodie and sashay your way towards the seat. Practically every head in the bus turns towards you.

When you get to stand by the seat, the jerk looks you up and down, bin...

You lock eyes with the ass before you.
He is clearly expecting you to drop the act and fuck off.
You do nothing of the sort, you keep staring at his eyes, unblinking even as a strand of your hair falls in front of one of your eyes, all while slowly sitting over his legs anyway, challenging him.
You can feel his legs cock back to kick you off.
You place your hand on the leg of his pant and shrink it slightly. Too little for anyone else to notice.

But you two do. You can feel how his pants tightened enough to look two sizes too small and about to burst. You bet he can feel every rivet.

You smirk and whisper.
“No kicks for you, Mr.” You also take the chance to point towards the bus supervisor, who is looking at the scene you two are making.

His expression changed ever so slightly to one of cold analysis.

After half a minute of tense and, in your case, smug silence, he reaches towards your face and places the stray strand of hair behind your hear.

Then the motherfucker SNAPS his fingers with a volume that cannot be natural. Shit sounded like a gunshot right next to your ear.

Just for reference, I did some quick math to calculate the chances of success using the Roll Xd10 looking for pairs for our different stats.

Best of 3 sets of 5d10
97.3% Success Rate

Best of 3 Sets of 4d10
87.2% Success Rate

Best of 3 Sets of 3d10
62.7% Success Rate

Best of 3 sets of 2d10
27.1% Success Rate

I'm no math major, but I also believe that this system will also yield 7.5 as being the average severity of success, so I think it's important to point out how much this system trends towards success in general.

That being said, the series is the story of exceptional people training to be heroes, so it fits in a way, but the advantage of 'Roll 3 sets take the best' is so huge I hope Mic affords a similar pool system for NPCs to keep things balanced.

You have heard worse before.

It was rather often that you volunteered to hold a card with your teeth for whip tricks and that’s a bang.

So you yawn. Not a real yawn at the start but getting up at 6 for a 40 minutes train ride made it quite real halfway through.

“You broke a finger or something?” You ask innocently.

He fumed the rest of the way, specially when he turned to look at you.

Literally! There was actual smoke coming out of the pockets where he hid his hands.

On the other hand, you spent the few minutes left of the ride pretending to be comfortable over his legs.

It was all worth it when you arrived to wherever Arena C is and got to watch him awkwardly shimmy his way out of the bus.

Where he quickly blew them up into burnt short shorts.

Bummer.

Now, in front of you there is an enormous open gate with what looks like a small town inside.

Everyone is milling next to the gate, stretching, spying on the others or just waiting.

> “Well?! What are you all waiting for, real battles don't have countdowns!” From atop a huge tower besides the Arena comes down the voice of the speaker scarfed hero whose run down you ignored. “Get moving you only have 10 minutes!”

And in the blink of an eye you were part of the stampede rushing through the gate.

You can see some smaller bots near but huge explosions are already ringing from the center of the stage.

>What do you do?

You place your hands on your elbows and enlarge yourself and your clothes the the top of your capacity, you won't be able to enlarge anything else until you balance the mass shrinking yourself or something else, but you can manage with just being HUGE.

You never tried this in an urban area before, and watching empty grassland doesn't compare to being a 16 meters tall giantess looming over most buildings.

You can see three main robot clusters, the one heading towards the blitz going on in the center of the Arena, a bunch of robots just grinding their threads on the ground but not moving and an a rather big swarm of bots heading your way.

It seems you make for quite a target to lock onto.

Still, you sprint down a wide road to meet the biggest robots heading your way. The ones that say “1” can wait.

You come across 3 big “3” marked robots, you think this ones would be about as high as your hips right now. One comes rushing towards you while the other two are about to launch a salvo of missiles at you.

You run towards the trio of machines coming your way hoping to maul one on the run before striking the next one. The first part of the plan was easy, you were much denser - it was like punching a well made windshield. Your hand was sore but you managed to keep going after wrecking the one that tried to go melee on you. The missiles were a different story.

While they were clearly non lethal, you both expected to be better and worse than what you got.

The first salvo hit flesh and clothes, so it did little beyond showing the advantage of your proportionally super-thick skin and some uncomfortable jiggling.

The second however left you as you are right now.

It was aimed higher and it went right for your forehead. It felt like ramming head first into a concrete wall.

So now you are standing right besides the two remaining robots, who don't seem to learn from what happened to the last one and are trying to ram you, and nursing a killing headache.

You have 2 damage reduction from your size against humanlike sized foes, and 1 against foes like the 3 points bot, you also do more damage, but are easier to hit.

“<Y'all fucked up big time.>”

Thinking is hard right now. Higher thinking functions are clearly beyond your reach.

What is totally within your reach however is a charging machine intent on running you over.

So you reach. You grab it by it's pods and steal a some hundred kilograms from it. With the dang thing pitifully dangling on your hands you spin and pitch it at the farther one.

While it was a slow, sloppy and pretty much telegraphed throw and the “ball” was now only able to reach up to your knee, it was still a multi-ton machine flying at some decent speed and both robots tumbled on the ground and into a four stories department building.

You then enlarge your horns.

They are still way too thick to get the desired length, and a more coherent you might would warn you about the neck pain you are brewing, but you are all out of fucks to give.

“<Texas SMASH!>”

So you charge ahead and plunge them through the building with no regard for the building nor originality.

While grinding them against the ground.

All the way through babe.

By the time you are at the other side you are no longer pushing a pair of robot, but a greenish pile of debris and scrap metal. Your hoodie is also completely torn apart.

Heh. The slider is about the size of a skateboard.

You take a moment to catch your breath…

And hear a few interesting things.

The explosions on the Arena’s center have not stopped, the guy who thinks speakers are a fashion accessory shouts that there are 7 minutes left and some unknown voice screaming profanities coming from a nearby alley. Some explosions also come from the area, along with the sound of collapsing japanese architecture.

Oh, by the way, you are at brains 2 right now.

--

You decide to check on the ruckus nearby.

Quickly shrinking back to your normal size, or more accurately, about the size your pants’ tag says they are meant to be.

After a square of sprinting, you come across a rather weird scenario. The friendly girl from the bus is berating a boy with a bandana…

While five 1 point robots try to catch them with some amazing coordination.

Two wrecked buildings block all exits and entrances beyond the one you are looking through, and the one behind the students has some serious scratches and dents.

“Care to tell me why you thought welding 5 murderous machines was a good idea? You were doing just fine welding them to the pavement?”

“One of the fuckers surprised me while I was trying to get the jump on the other!” he replies “I shat the bed I admit it ok!”

“That was up to the third! Why the last two!?”

Oh. Now that you look at it, it is one super wide robot made of 5 thinner robots joint at the hip.

The girl enlarges ember hands and picks up a huge chunk of debris to throw it at the mad machine.

While the chunk would have easily smashed one of the smaller bots alone, the one in the middle and the two to it's sides shatter it with a coordinated claw strike.

“We already have more than enough points! We just got to hold on until this ends and the school shuts down all this pieces of shit.” the boy says.

None of them has seen you.

Meekly moving towards the manic mechanic monstrosity, you take your steps carefully making sure to keep noise to a minimum, but it's not enough.

Tripping on a chunk of loose masonry you manage to catch yourself, but you still unleash a small but loud landslide.

Now the two students are looking at you and the robotic wheelipede is turning around too.

Welp, fuck it.

“”AAAAAAAAAAAAHAAHHH!!!!!!” With the element of surprise sleeping with the fishes, you throw all pretense of care to the wind.

You hope there will be classes to come up with catchphrases and special move names.

Rushing forwards with your hands open before you, you are prepared to take the retaliatory strike the machine will throw your way after you get to touch it.

In fact, by the time you place your hand on it, three of it’s claws are already raised high above your head.

Still, you focus on the task at hand and sap away the robot’s mass and volume.

You manage to do it before the machine has a chance to strike back, but the before you are whacked in the head by a small claw of a moped sized machine, a pair of huge hands envelope you and pull you out of the way.

You can see over the huge thumb covering part of your face that the boy just made the robot sink partly into the ground. It looks now like a toy bike with edgy props got stuck in the mud.

“Don’t get me wrong girl, thanks for the assistance, but that was awfully risky.” The girl says as she lowers you back to the ground.

“Howdy, stranger.” You say, hopping the word Haudī does actually mean howdy and not some sort of ancient japanese curse upon her bloodline.

>“‘Howdy’?” She looks a tad confused for a second before smiling and returning the salute “Howdy! Well now, don’t be a stranger I’m Kendo Itsuka, it’s a pleasure to meet you!” Wow, polite. “But you really shouldn’t butted in like that, we could have resisted on our own without you risking your hide.

You jumped from the top of a building to help me!” Interjects the boy.

>“Well, yeah. but you were boned.”

“Yeah, I meant to catch it unawares, but I’m used to open ground. Slipped m’self over the rocks and made a ruckus. Gotta get used to the city, not many open fields on an island. But it worked just fine after all, didn’t it?”

“American as deep frying, but not the girl you were talking about. She does have hooves and… huge… horns.” You can’t blame her, but you can’t help but feel that part of the reason you came to japan just unraveled. “I’m Walker Ushi, nice meeting ya’ll, but I need to keep going. I only got 9 points and there sure ain’t seven minutes no more.”

>“With or without this thing?” The boy says, kicking the defenceless and stuck abomination in the eyes of engineering. “Because I’m sure it got written down as your take down.”He smirks. “Not that it matters, this mean son of a bitch has 30 points!”

>Itsuka sighs. “I’ve only gotten 15. I’ve spent most of my time helping others to not get mauled.”

You sigh too. Even with 14 points you aren’t doing so well, you wave at Kendo and Mean-son-of-a-bitch while thinking about your situation.
The ample amounts of scrap metal strewn everywhere are a clear signal that if not time, the robots are certainly starting to run out.
You need to find a way to rack up points fast.

You briefly consider repeating the stunt you pulled at the beginning of the exam, but the rapidly darkening bump in your forehead quickly lies that idea to rest.

After running a few blocks you manage to spot a tickle of seven 1 point robots going towards the center of the Arena, through an already wrecked street.

You could intercept them, and maybe smash them apart while giant, but you are out of luck on shrinking. You need to get rid of the 725 kg of mass your quirk is holding.

Maybe do both and drop an enlarged boulder on the first and then smash them?

If you went full giant you could tear them apart with your bare hands.

Or you could push a building on them.

Or you could discover that they all have multibarrelled guns under their claws and a keener sense of hearing that what you may have led to believe.

As the robots scan the area for you with their guns spinning, you ponder on the merits of catapulting a boulder out of your enlarged arm. Enlarging a singular bodypart for too long without enlarging the rest of the body can quickly cause the the affected any number of problems due to the strain it puts on the heart, lungs and skeleton and that’s just what you can name out of the top of your head!

However, you have done it before for a few minutes before starting to feel the the dizzyness, so you are confident that you can pull this off.

You take a rock of the size of your palm and ramp up it’s size a few hundred kilos. It’s still the size of your palm, but your palm now can hold a small car.

You prepare your pitch and let it fly at the shout of

“AUSTIN TOSSIN’!” Your body can’t handle doing this multiple times a day, so it’s easy to think of it as a special move and to put your heart into the shout.

You aren’t in the school yet and you already feel like a hero.

The boulder’s trajectory is perfectly ordinary, like a ball thrown at a backyard game back home. Considering it’s not a small polished ball but an irregularly shaped mass of rock weighing over 200kg and moving at about 70 miles per hour, you allow yourself to feel a bit proud.

The boulder smashes into the group of robots like an asteroid sent by an angry god intent on wiping them off the planet, smashing two into scraps and leaving other three broken beyond repair.

However, much like actual god, two survived unscathed and train their guns on you.

Special Move Learned!
Austin’ Tossin!
By extenuating her body and drastically enlarging a single arm, Ushi is able to throw a projectile with the same strength she would have access to in her maximum size without receiving any of the defence and speed penalties she would get to be on that size.

Repeated use can cause audible groaning and cracking from her wooden skeleton and maybe worse things.

You skillfully drop belly first onto a destroyed robot’s armored plate and quickly slide through the scrap and debris covered street, racing to reach the space behind the hill of scrap metal that once were two robots, with a barrage of bullets trailing you, and another one still shooting to where you were standing moments ago.

Sadly, while your reflexes are amazing and you managed to drive a chunk of metal like a surfboard on water, bullets of any kind are still too fast, and something clearly illustrated by the got hit by some rubber bullets on the side of your ribcage and a bit lower.

Losing a clear line of sight, the robots stop spinning their guns and bring their armored claws to bear.

You put your hand in front of you and do a gnarly hang-ten. It’s pretty rad.

After that, you raise your impropentu surfboard and enlarge it.
A solid slab of armored metal… That doesn’t let you see shit.
The hard knock upon your board you expected, the fact that the second one didn’t clank against the slab, but against your aching side, by completely sidestepping the shield was a painful surprise.

It felt like a buck to the ribs, but that was probably just the pain of the overlapping injuries, a buck would have sent you tumbling, yet you are still standing.

The impact winds you, however, and inhaling became slightly painful.
The accumulated trauma might have shaken or even dropped a city girl, but not you.
Under your black spot print shirt there is no shortage of muscle softening the blows, earned by a life of hard, honest work.
The going got tough, but you are tougher.

The one point robots are the smaller of them all, and you already shrunk 5 earlier…
Or did that count as one?
Anyways, both robots are within your reach, making your next step really easy.
You grab them both and shrink them, while transferring their mass to yourself.

In one quick movement you went from being mauled to being a 6 meters tall girl holding two tiny robots the size of a cereal box prize.

They are so tiny, you wonder if you may be able to crush them with your thumb.

...Until one of them pinches and startles you.

Well. No need to question that anymore. Turns out you could.

As you question what to do with the other tiny murder machine you hear the weird headphones guy’s voice again. This place must have one kick ass sound system to get the sound so clear. You can’t even hear a speaker’s distortion!

>“Everybhady!”
Was that meant to be english?

>”I sure hope you remember our small gimmick I mentioned, because here on the last two minutes, Arena C’s King of Terror awakens! ARISE IN ALL YOUR PANTS STAINING GLORY!! AHAHA!”

“What the fuck is he talking about?” You ask out loud before you notice the shaking ground.

A few blocks north… Well, no more.

Where two five stories tall apartment buildings stood before, a huge machine rises.

It’s... at least ten meters bigger than your max size. The full implications of that don't dawn on you until you remember how easy was for you to smash people sized robots with a smaller size difference.

Fuck.

The malignant machine walks through the arena like a hurricane over the south, reducing everything on its way to rubble.

A tiny part of you is relieved by the fact that if the school planned for massive damage, then the building you toppled won't be an issue.

A bigger part of you tells you to stay away, that the big 0 painted over its side means you don't have any beef with it.

Most of you however, wants to make sure that the screaming mob running from the robot doesn't get smaller with the buildings it keeps collapsing over the road and students.

You drop the shrunk murderbot in your pocket and dash towards the colossus, growing with each step.

As you get closer to the massive machine you realize how much of a bad idea this will be.

The top of your head only barely reaches the lower end of what would be its chest.

It stops its rampage and turns towards you.

For an emotionless machine, its 8 red lights make for an excellent mask of hate. It makes your stomach twist inside. Or maybe that's just the multiple hits you've taken in the area.

After a few tense seconds you break the silence.

“The heck are y'all waiting for? Skedaddle!” Most of the mob had stopped to look at the standoff.

And with that, the standoff is broken and the so called King of Terror lunges at you with a cocked right fist.

If there is an advantage to fighting robots, is that they all telegraph all their moves.

---

Fighting a bigger foe has some advantages.

You are faster in comparison and harder to hit, and your attacks hit easier.

Holy fucking shit.

You aren't the most agile person in the world, something that it's probably related to your ‘Take life’s punches with pride’ attitude.

But that thing that went right by your face right now? That was a ‘cave-in your face, head and shoulders’ kind of punch.

Far more related to life ending punches than you’d like.

The lumbering machine’s size makes it easier to evade, but every punch packs more force than you want to deal with.

Fortunately, you can fix that.

As the machine pulls its arm back you take the chance to slide your hand through its forearm, shrinking the whole appendage.

The feeling of shrinking this robot is different from how every other robot felt. This thing is far too heavy for it to be in line with the smaller ones plating. This is a tad confusing, but you can see that this thing can take a beating.

The machine on the other hand is not confused, daunted, nor has doubts.

It just pulls its now shorter arm close to its body and swings with a still massive left fist.

Backing this, since I'm not sure what else we can do at this point. We're keeping the other students safe, so stealing mass works.
>>

basically the plan is to slowly withdraw stealing mass bit by bit....this way its slowed down and will be getting weaker all the time. Never know it might become weak enough to deal with soon

Calling your max size that is a misnomer, since you know you can go beyond that if you get the mass from somewhere else.

But you’ve never actually done it. Why would you?
There had never been something on the farm you couldn’t lift, move or tilt as a 16 meters giant.

Now, however, seems like a good time as any.

You sidestep the machine, coming to stand between it and the road the others were running on.

From the corner of your eye you can see the remaining 1 to 3 point robots swarming the road, along with Kendo, the Mean-son-of-a-bitch and a few others keeping them at bay.

Seeing so clearly how out of the hundred plus students here, only another eight or so are fighting… It makes sets your heart ablaze with passion.

This is why you are here. To be prove yourself one of the world’s best, not a simple tax funded enforcer, but a shining beacon of hope.

With that thought in mind you don’t dodge, but grab it’s fist as it strikes. You hurt your wrist, but with both your hands on it you manage to shrink it down about five meters, while enlarging yourself about the same height, before it violently pulls it’s arm back.

Now you are higher than you’ve ever been, standing at what you guess are some 21 meters or so, staring at a 22 meters robot with a smaller arm.

On your back pocket, you can feel the tiny robot must be now about the size of a shoebox, and it’s crawling around the pocket. You may need a more precise control in the future if you pretend to capture villains that way.

If the groin is like a central hub/joint for the legs, if we decrease the mass, it wouldn't be able to support the weight and the legs would fall out... right?
I actually think she could be a combat monster by transferring mass, imagine grapplng someone and transferring a bunch of mass from someone's elbow into their hand, the weakened elbow would shatter under the strain
>>
>>1860059
Christ, how terrible.
Thankfully that's not the Texan way.

That's sound a lot like what a villan would do. Our girl might be able to do it. But since she wants to be a hero i think she would try to avoid crippling or killing people.
>>
>>1860062
We can easily arrest a person by increasing it's clothe weight. Imagine if sundely the villan costume start weighting like a ball chain.

Could we increase our hand weight so our punch can have a heavier hit?
>>
>>1860062
>>1860071
I guess we could use it more carefully, maybe just enlarge the hell out of one or both arms, such that the bad guys can't lift them/move, then we'll shrink them back when we're done
>>1860078
I think its not direct mass transfer right? like you have to enlarge something to increase its mass, so they be in really really heavy shirt... that's like 10 feet tall and they just crawl out

The robot just stares at you.
With its arms and threads immobile, its red lights on it’s ‘head’ are the only way to tell it’s still working.
No matter what it’s doing, this is a clear opening.
You know exactly what to do now, and how to do it.

With a short sprint to generate as much forwards momentum as you can muster, you extend your arm and leap, performing a leaping clothesline that wouldn’t be out of place at a wrestling tv show.

Or a family reunion. Damn aussies.

However, as great as your technique was, the robot’s plating is too tough, and beyond knocking it down and leaving it’s threads skyward, you didn’t even dent it.

At least it’s like a tortoise, it won’t be able to do anything knocked down like that with its lack of guns.

You proudly turn towards the exit the students were running for…
And feel your thighs burn before looking down at the downed robot.

You see that its eight red lights are beaming light at your legs, and that your jeans have ‘small’ flames licking them.

You stomp the robot’s head with your boot and with a with a crack of broken glass, the once fearsome robot is now a flailing tortoise. You don’t need to actually destroy something to make it useless.

You hear some worried yelling coming from a nearby pile of rubble. On top of it stands the purple headed midget from the bus, and he is clearly trying to tell you something.

>“Denim is fire resistant! Not fireproof! If it fully ignites it’ll burn you badly! You! NEED! TO! TAKE! THEM! OFF!” he yells worried.

He sounds sincere enough.

>What do you do?

It's actually only overpowered because it's been around for so long. One For All is a quirk that can transfer itself and stockpiles power. From what we've seen as long as it's passed on, it has infinite potential to grow.
>>
>>1860404
Its only stockpiled 5 people worth of power if you think about it right? Cuz Deku is the 8th and both he and All Might are quirkless, and the Original user's quirk was the one that made One for all... so imagine if it goes on a couple more transfer generations
>>
>>1860421
The thing is, technically the power can be passed down to multiple people at once. All you need is some of All Might's DNA...

Blowjobs for super powers, anyone?
>>
>>1860431

All Might barely has embers left.
It's also not elaborated on whether or not One For All can be transferred to to people at the same time, but this is all just speculation.
>>
>>1860436
And what if All Might finds someone else to pass down his powers to? Deku might not be the only exceptional person All Might meets and finds worthy of the power.

It's stockpiled 6 people if we exclude All Might, Deku and The Original owner. Since Izuku is the 9th wielder The thing is the growth of One For All is enormous.
>>
>>1860431
I'm pretty sure once the source of OfA is passed to a new host, the previous host can't give it away a second time. Giving it away to multiple people at the same time would probably work like a spin-the-wheel game, or not at all.
