You are General Nathan Oman, awakened from thirty years of cyrosleep. You are the last surviving member of the Timmerman Administration, the greatest, strongest government the United States has ever voted into office. You and the rest of the military leadership, under the guidance of President Timmerman, led the country through trying times. Times it would not have survived without you.And how did the people pay you back? After the dust settled and the crisis passed? By handing President Timmerman and the military command over to an international court. They were all sentenced for crimes against humanity. They were all hanged.Except, that is, for you and several other generals. You went into hiding. You all swore that in thirty years times you would return and exact vengeance on the world for the death of your nation.Pt 1 http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/1661977/Pt 2http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/1673647/Pt 3>>1769607
You take cover behind a workstation, then pop up and run along a row. Beakers explode as bullets whip by. The glass crunches under your boots. You slid behind another workstation. You have Nelsen's general location now.You rear up, unloading the beretta. You finish and start running. You spot Nelsen, coming up from behind a distant station with a heavy assault weapon. You finish reloading and take aim, just as his barrel swivels towards you.

Reposting plan from last threadWe need to get ourself Lazarus'd so we can have a backup. Not only that, but imagine what we could do as propaganda:>get more organic fluid>make 7 clones of us and enough spec ops to infiltrate 6 capital cities(2 extra from 4 mentioned later in case of failures)>get a sub to bring bombs and weapons to France (I believe we know of an advanced sub base, right?)>station one of ourselves ready to take one for the team, (as we are clearly willing to die for America) in a base>leak the location of the base in a "hack of the rebel network" by one of the altered interpol team members >put up a token resistance as if caught completely off guard>the enemy finally captures the "evil General Oman" in a daring secret raid>he dies in the "crossfire" >wait until enemy makes a big news broadcast as they always do after getting a high value target>2-3 days later blackout small port and transport bombs and clones from sub to waiting cars and get them moving into position>That night, suddenly all of Europe goes dark except for a path spelling out USA across the continent(if possible with our AI core, otherwise as much blackout as possible)>one of our satellites takes a video of it from space as the lights go out >broadcast live on every channel we can around the world (infiltrate major broadcasting networks beforehand)>take advantage of the chaos to bring a clone and a bomb into 4 different capitals >suddenly the picture of blackout Europe goes away and a live feed cuts in >General Oman walks into view of the camera in European main capital city right in front of the dark capital building>"I believe the world is mistaken about something.">then the screen divides into two live feeds and it is another general in another city>"Did you really think that it was all over?">screen divides into 4 live feeds with more clones in capitals in front of govt buildings>"Well let me tell you what I think." >"I think you have severely underestimated the American dream.">4 feeds get smaller and move to the corners of the screen bringing up the satellite feed in the middle between them"No foreign government will Ever again rule American soil. Let this be a warning, pull out of our country immediately. We wish no harm to the citizens of the world, but do not force our hand. Our goal is simple.">Simultaneously blow up all 4 capital buildings behind the clones, making sure to use enough power that they are visible from the sat feed>all 4 generals say at the same time "America First. America Forever." >the feeds cut out to a flag and the US national anthem>world falls into complete chaos as they see 4 of the super general they thought was gone for good appear at the same time hundreds of miles apart while causing a massive blackout and blowing up 4 different capital buildings(1/2)

>>1787148Most countries would probably surrender there, if they don't and their people saw the broadcast they would have a lot of scared af people to deal with demanding withdrawal from AmericaSuddenly the tiny rebel force who everyone believed was dealt a crushing blow and on the edge of defeat becomes a nearly godlike entity in the view of anyone who sees the broadcast, having raised the dead, blacked out all of Europe, and instantly razed 4 coalition capital buildings. This would probably be even more effective against enemy morale than the nuclear weapons used on Japan. (2/2)Another good idea with this is to have our media infiltrators start referring to us as Omen instead of Oman, sounds more ominous and threatening
>>1786994>>1786995>>1786999>>1787016>>1787057You fire five shots. Nelsen fires three. You feel the first two whiz by your ear as the third embeds in your shoulder. You snarl in pain, nearly dropping your gun. But you know better. You find Nelsen and raise your gun. He's clutching his stomach, doing his best to prop his gun on a workstation. You feel a force from behind. A body slams into you, sending you reeling. Two other large masses pass overhead, the force of their movement rustling your hair. You roll to a stop, you head spinning. Scrambling to your knees, you look around.Helios is trading blows with Manning's clawed monster and an asian man. You can't tear your eyes away from the air tremors that occur when one of them hurls a fist. You snap out of it just in time to be tackled from the side. You roll, locking arms with your assailant. You look up and see Nelsen. "You killed her!" He roars. "You killed her you bastard!" "I've killed a lot of people," You say through gritted teeth. You struggle against Nelsen's weight. "And I'll kill a lot more to bring my country back,""Your country is gone Oman," Nelsen says. "And you should have gone with it," He knees you down, then rears up, drawing a knife. "This is for Jess, you fascist fuck,"Nelsen melts away in a wave of heat. The energy rolls across you, burning one side of your face and drying your eyes. The waves of heat recede as quickly as they blew out. You gasp, clawing at the air. You can feel the skin of one side of your face screaming. "General!" You feel a hand grab your shoulder. You shake your head and look to see Mayor Vandal and Dr. Manning, as well as several of the support staff. Vandal has a bloodied cloth strapped over one eye, and Dr. Manning looks distressed. "General we have to go!" Vandal yells again, and points. You turn to see where she's pointing. Helios stands in the middle of the lab, roaring up at the heavens. The clawed monster lays in a smoking heap to the side. The chinese man is struggling to stand upright against the blast waves emanating from Helios. "We must," Dr. Manning mutters. "We must get the girl," "We have to leave!" Vandal yells.>Head back towards the command room to find the girl and calm down Helios>Get the hell out via the hanger>Get the hell out via the front entrance

You find it, and are satisfied to see it is nothing more then a burnt, shriveled corpse. You fire off a round just in case. "Evacuate Dr. Manning!" You shout at Mayor Vandal. The waves of heat are growing hotter. "We'll rendezvous at the Arizona base!" You scoop up Nelsen's automatic rifle and sprint towards the stairs leading up to the command room. You can feel the side of your face burning against the sterile lab air. You know you'll wear the scars the rest of your life.Once in the command room you quickly pass through. The holographic display of America flickers, the power just barely keeping it afloat. You leave the command room and enter into the admin offices. You see several people. Jake1 and Bahmed are emptying SAW's into a hallway. Jake5 is bracing himself against a desk, with about eighteen people huddled nearby. You run over to him, sliding to a stop by the desk. "Status report Malone!" You shout over the gunfire. "Enemy special forces are pressing us from the hallway!" He shouts. "Is there a clear path to the hanger?" "Is the Maddie girl with you?" You say. Jake5 points at a girl huddled with the others. "Then possibly," You say. "But Helios is out of control,">Try and battle your way out of the main entrance>Take everyone and retreat back towards the hanger

>>1787299>>1787300>>1787322>>1787351"Everyone back towards the hanger!" You shout. Jake1 and Bahmed notice you and start moving back. Their SAW's bark at intervals, and guns answer at the other end of the hallway. You hear the enemy's bullets embedding in the wall behind you. The group retreats back into the command room. You motion with your gun for them to keep moving, and they do. You all reach the stairs, and are greeted with the large, dome-like machine lab. Helios is in the center. There are no more work stations or machinery, only ash. The Chinese man has his hand around Helios's throat. Helios has his hand around the Chinese man's throat. They stand their, gripping each other, enveloped in rolling waves of fire. You all stand there in shock. The heat is overwhelming. The Chinese man seems to suddenly relax, then drift away into ash. Helios raises his face upwards. The heat increases, threatening to kill everyone. You notice a shape out of the corner of your eye. Maddie, the girl, is walking down the stairs. The heat battles at her hair, sending it blowing about her reddened face. She holds up her hands in a vain attempt to shield herself. The girl reaches the bottom of the stairs and takes a step forward. She's buffeted by a blast wave, and nearly falls over. She takes another step, then another. Little by little, she makes her way across the room towards Helios. The blast waves grow in size and intensity. The girl's skin turns bright red, her clothes falling away in flaming bits of fabric. You can see she's calling out to Helios, but you can't make out her words over the sound of the blasts. Maddie finally gets with reaching distance of Helios, and lowers her hands away from her face. Her hair is burning at the tips now, her body charring. She reaches out to Helios, placing a hand to his cheek. A moment latter she drifts away into ash. The blast waves stop. Helios stares, wide eyed, at a smattering of black soot on the floor before him. You're dazed by the heat, unable to move, then feel a tug on your sleeve. It's Bahmed, the ISS agent. He's pointing at the hanger entrance across the lab. You snap to it, and shove at the rest of the staff to get moving. You all race across the machine lab. You watch Helios from the corner of your eye. He stares down at the floor, then slowly sinks to his knees. You turn away from him and run up the stairs with the others. No sooner does the last staff member run into the hanger then a blast shakes the whole mountain. A jet of fire arcs into the hanger, shooting out to the valley beyond. "The nuke man's going nuclear!" Jake1 shouts. You spot the Osprey, still in the hanger. Mayor Vandal is on the loading ramp, beckoning you all in. The group runs inside, the last one being yourself. You watch as the Osprey takes off from the base and the loading bay closes. You're three miles away when a giant geyser of fire erupts from the base.

"The girl has a sister, perhaps we can reign him in at a later date,"You are weary from the day's battle, but something clicks in your head. You turn, slowly, towards the doctor. "Dr. Manning," You say, your voice even. "What was that creature back in the lab?" Dr. Manning's face lights up. "General, it is a miracle! Helios's physiology, the potential within is unlimited! That creature is a result of my findings!" "And how did you find the funds to create such a creature?" Dr. Manning itches at his elbow. "Ah, well, you see general, it was necessary to continue my work. It was too important! The discover of this man is going to change everything!" "You sold a patent?" You say, stepping towards him. "Without my permission doctor?" "G-general,""Who rescued you from the hangman's noose doctor?" "Y-you general," "And who allowed you to participate in the rebuilding of the greatest nation this world has ever seen?""General Oman p-please,"You grip his collar, ignoring the pain of your gunshot wound. You are angry, but will not be tossing the doctor from the Osprey quite yet. "Dr. Manning," You say. "I hold you responsible for the destruction of the base, as I will hold you responsible if anyone ever uses a Barracuda drone against us," You lower your voice, leaning in towards the doctor's ear. "Remember doctor, this is a cause where everyone is replaceable,""Y-yes general," "We'll talk about your projects later," You straighten up from Dr. Manning and turn to the others. You clear your throat. "I would like to thank you all, the citizens of Elmhurst. I will not mince words. I took you against your will and drafted you into a war against your own government. Some of you have lost loved ones because of this. Some of you will lose everything before this is over. I cannot make amends towards this, nor can give you back your homes. All I can do is assure you each will be rewarded according to their sacrifice and work," The support staff says nothing, simply staring at you. They are dirty, tired and in shock. You make your way to the side of the Osprey and take a seat. Jake1 takes a seat next to you. "You always were an asshole with the speeches," Jake says, leaning back against the metal hull and putting his hands behind his head. He glances over at you and sees your burns. "Ha! Holy shit Nathan," Jake says, putting a hand to his mouth. "You look ugly as hell," "Agent Nelsen is dead," You say. "A small price to pay," "Whatever two-face," Jake says, laughing. He stops, then leans closer to you. "That Bahmed guy right?" You look and see Bahmed of the ISS standing to the side, looking out a window."Hm yes, whatever happened to the russian businessman and Mr. Clamp of MI6?""Oh absolutely dead," Jake says. "Both riddled with bullets during the battle. But look, forget them, this Bahmed guy is who I'm interested in," "And why is that," You say, glancing out the window yourself. "You should have seen him Nathan, a stone cold killer. Doesn't say a word, just bam, bam, bam," Jake makes gun motions with his hands. "All dead. I don't know about the ISS, but we should definitely keep the guy around,""I already have one stone-cold killer," You say, giving Jake a long look. "In fact I have many of them. Seems your printing a new version of yourself every week,""What can I say," Jake says, shrugging. "I'm the only one I trust to do things right,""We need to plan our next move," You say, almost to yourself. You look up and see Vandal standing with two other women near the front of the Osprey. She seems to be comforting one of them. "Mayor Vandal!" You say. You beckon her towards the back of the Osprey. She comes, still sporting the cloth bandage over her eye. "General," She says, coming to a stop before you.
"Mr. Malone and I were considering our next move," You say. "What were our priorities before the attack?"Mayor Vandal seems to have trouble focusing. You realize you are asking a lot of your wounded administrator. "Ah, yes," She says. She pats her suit, looking for her data pad. She seems to realize she left it back in the base. "Well," She says, giving up looking. "I remember the one major problem being the Salt Lake City siege," "That's right," Jake1 says, clapping. "Nathan, the only reason we're holding off the Coalition is because of the advanced Abrams and the Barricuda drones,""And Captain Bellfast is running low on tank shells," Vandal says. "The Barricudas are down to their last missiles as well. We need to ship new ammo to Salt Lake City," "So do so," You say. "I thought we found a sympathetic armory in Texas," "The California Republic convinced Oklahoma and New Mexico to shut down the border. If we want weapons, we're going to need to send an escort, or find a different path">If you wish to send people to Texas, indicate who or>Find a new route for the ammo"We'll figure it out," You say. "I have another priority. Dr. Manning!" You say. The man shuffles over to you. "What will happen to Helios?""He will likely go through a series of grief-driven cycles of destruction," Dr. Manning says, wiping at his forehead. "It will level the mountains for miles around when he is most active in these cycles,""You said the Maddie girl, the one who could control him, she had a sister?""Yes General," "And do you believe this sister could somehow reign in Helios much like the Maddie girl did?" "I see no reason why we can't try, they look incredibly similar according to Maddie," >If you are going to send someone to Oklahoma City, Indicate who
>>1788760Fuck, we need so much right now, and the Brits and Russians aren't going to be too happy about their friends, so we should try to contact them about what happened. We also need to know how this base got found, so Jake1 will be looking. As for the Ammo, we can send it through Arkansas and beeline straight through Oklahoma. It will take an extra day or so, but we'll need that ammoAs for our Helios problem, this takes priority. We'll need to send a Jake and a few Spec Ops, but mostly Militia Men. We're running out of these fucking prime specimens
>>1788784damn we are in a pickle heresupport
>>1788760First order of business, as soon as we get back to a base, we Lazarus ourselves, the mayor, Dr Manning, any of the jakes who are with us, and any other important personnel As for supply routes, it might be good to withdraw from salt lake for now and use what ammo we have left to secure the supply of ammo. Getting a city is no good if we can't hold it.For the girl, use a jake, a black ops squad, and a copy of the doctor once he is Lazarus'd
>>1788784Supporting>>1788760We should wear a mask now. We're a big guy. And the only problem would taking off the mask would be very painful
>>1789029I don't know anon, withdrawing from Salt Lake when we're kinda winning might be a mistake
>>1789176Our losses are minimal, enemy losses are devastating, enemy is entrenched now and we are running out of ammo. Being in a siege is not really advantageous to us right now, we are undersupplied and seigneurial warfare harms civilian targets more than military targets while we are trying to gain public favor. It is probably better to withdraw quietly leaving a token force to maintain an illusion of presence and strike somewhere else unexpectedly. The best target to strike would be the blockade of our supply routes since getting them gives us a major military advantage in a time where it is necessary to quickly build military power.
>>1789272Sure we're running out of Ammo, but getting ammo to them has only hit a little speedbumb, not falling in on itself. There is also the public image, that the Mighty Coalition has driven those weak rebels out of the city, and while that may not be exactly true, we did retreat.Until holding Salt Lake becomes too costly, we should only continue to support and reinforce
>>1788784>>1788945>>1789029>>1789136Wide, pale dunes spread out under the Osprey. You are now in Arizona; wasteland country. Here the temperatures reach 110 daily, and the nights are frigid and cruel. The Osprey tilts in the sky, banking left. You spy a bit of desert below opening up, and realize you've arrived; Redpoint Base, Arizona.Once landed you're greeted by Jake4 and a handful of spec ops. "Jake," You say, shaking his hand. He looks over at the other Jakes, as well as the elmhurst support staff. "Heard what happened in Colorado," He says. "Sorry bout that, I know it's a setback,""Bah," You say, brushing past him. "They cannot stop what we've begun. Setbacks are acceptable in the face of the coming storm. Now take me to the command room.""I don't know Nathan," Jake4 says, shooting Jake1 a look. "You look pretty," He gestures vaguely at you and the others. "Melted. We've got a doctor here, we captured him while he was wandering the desert tripping balls on some native american shit. He's actually an amazing trauma surgeon when he's not zonked out of his mind. Why don't you all see him first?" "Mayor Vandal," You say, turning to her. "You are in charge of getting everyone to the doctor," You turn back to Jake4. "Take me to the command room, Mr. Malone," You turn to Jake1 and Jake5. "I hope you are not too banged up to join me?" Both Jakes give a half-shrug. "We're right behind you," Jake1 says. You and the three Jakes move through the base. It's four levels deep into the earth, with a central hanger/elevator/manufactoring plant that all other rooms spread out from on each level. You find the command room easily enough. It is a large pit, with the center being taken up with a large holographic display. "This is good," You say, surveying the command amphitheater."Yeah I thought you might like it," Jake4 says. "I want to copy everyone," You say. "Especially Dr. Manning. We need to become immortal," "Okay just to clarify," Jake5 says. "The lazurus program does not bring back the dead, only produce copies. And on top of that, we are absolutely out of organic ink after we printed pilots for our impromptu airforce.""So buy more," You say. You start walking down the stairs of the command room towards the center, bottom level. "We're using all our funds from the server farm to arm our forces in Salt Lake City," Jake1 says, following you. "It's turning out to be an expensive conflict," "Unnecessary, one could almost say," Jake4 says, following. "I was always of the mind that we should be an american terrorist organization, not conquerors,""And that is why you were an operative for the CIA Mr. Malone," You say, reaching the bottom. "And I am a four star general in the Department of Defense.""What," Jake1 says, cocking an eyebrow. "Did you promote yourself while you were frozen?""Maybe I did," You say, a small smile tugging at your mouth. "I'm the head of the American armed forces at the moment,"
"Till we print a better general," Jake4 murmurs. You and Jake1 laugh. Jake4 produces a bag containing a bottle of whiskey and five glasses. He passes them out, setting the others aside. "Just in case the other Jakes showed up," Jake4 says, shrugging. He pours the three of you glasses and you hold them up in the air. "Mr and Mr Malone," You say to the Jakes. "I wish to thank you for your service to the cause, and invite you to join me in the next chapter of our great dream,""Sure Nathan," Jake1 says. "All my other friends are dead anyways," The three of you touch glasses and knock back the whiskey. Jake1 shakes his head, letting out a sigh. "Fuck," He says, wiping his mouth. "That shit's good. Now be honest Nathan, you banging that mayor chick?""I am technically still married," You say, shooting him a glance. "And have little time for such distraction in the face of nation building,""There's always time to fuck a one-eyed mayor," Jake1 says. "It's clear she's drunk on the power your wielding, swept up in all your unionist bullshit,""Careful Mr. Malone," You say, pouring yourself another glass and smiling. "I've swept you up too,"************************************************"Oh my fucking god Tanner," Cass says, kicking back in her chair and throwing a pillow at him. "You're a fucking jerk,"Tanner laughs, getting up from the bed. "Whatever Cass," He says, throwing on his shirt. "You know your friend looks like Mandis Kherling," "Mandis Kherling is a dumb hack and you're still a fuckwad," Cass says, crossing her arms. "Whatever," Tanner says, crossing the room and kissing her forhead. "You still coming out to the party tonight?" "Maybe," Cass says, turning away from him and picking up her phone. "I have to see what Megan's doing, we were supposed to go out," "For sure," Tanner says. He grabs his phone and his glasses and heads for the door. "Text me babe," Cass turns back towards him and smiles. "You know I will, now fuck off jerk," Tanner smiles and ducks through the door, shutting it behind him. Cass hums to herself and stands, gathering up her hair and putting it into a tail as she goes to the kitchen. Once there she opens up the fridge and bends down to look inside. "Where the fuck is that yogurt?" She says, quietly and to herself. "Oh sorry," says a voice. "Couldn't help myself."Cass screams and straightens up, spinning around. Sitting at her kitchen table is Jake4, using a spoon to get out the last remains from a yogurt cup. "Seriously," Jake4 says, scraping with the spoon. "You get my favorite kind, I was so glad to find out they still had blueberry in the future,""W-who," Cass says, backing up against the counter. "Who the fuck are you!" "Jake Malone," Jake says, putting aside the yogurt and the spoon. He leans back in the chair and regards the girl. "And you must be Cassidy Hannover.""I'm going to call the police," Cass says, gripping her phone, "Get the fuck out now,"
"Whoa whoa," Jake says, rising and putting up his hands. "I'm not here to hurt you," "Yeah?" Cass says. "Well too fucking bad," She's shaking as she opens up a drawer and takes out a kitchen knife. "I will stab you if you don't get out,"Jake laughs, then shakes his head. "I promise you girl," He says, letting out a few more chuckles. "That is the last thing you want to do. Now, are you or are you not Madalyn Hannovers sister?""M-maddie?" Cass says, the knife lowering some."Yeah, that's what I thought," Jake says. "You do look pretty similar." "Do you know where my sister is?!" Cass says, almost dropping her knife. She takes a step towards Jake. "Please! Please tell me where my sister is!""Dead," Jake says. Cass puts a hand to her mouth, then sinks to the floor. "No," She says, gripping her knees. "No no no no," "Goddammit," Jake says, standing. He whistles. Two milita men appear in the doorway to the kitchen. "I overdid it," He says to the men. "Help me carry her," "No!" Cass screams as the men reach for her. "No goddammit Tanner!! Tannner!!" "Yeah yeah," Jake says, taking out a syringe and flicking the tip. "If it's any consolation, you get to participate in nation building," Jake sticks her with the needle and winks. "Trust me, it's fun,"

>>1789289>>1789272In other words, we should be striking preferably unsuspecting targets quickly and briefly for maximum effect. We have a tech advantage while they have a massively number advantage, the longer we mire ourselves in an extended siege, the longer enemy forces have to group up and break the siege with sheer numbers. This is especially relevant with our stealth advantage. What we need to do right now is secure more pentagon bases and get a way to make new tanks and drones, not fight a battle of attrition where any loss of ours is devastating and any of theirs is a drop in an ocean.Let them have their victory there defending the city from a tiny rebel faction with massive losses, our propaganda victory is how much damage we did to the coalition, not taking the city. Consider ourselves as a blitz campaign. We don't go for Stalingrad, we go for 10 different important military objectives that will take one tenth of the time and be 10 times less defended. We lost enough momentum as it is here.>>1789362Regardless of our current ability to make coppies, we need to Lazarus ourselves and personnel for when we do have the bio printer material. If We take a loss it's not like we need an instant replacement, just the ability to do so in the near future For money, set up a server farm in nearby townsFor bases, get to those soldiers. We can use them to crack the next 2 bases.Right now we should withdraw from salt lake and strike the blockade on our ammo while we still have ammo to break it with. Afterwards we need to hit industrial centers for more material.
>>1789397But we won't win a war with terrorism. Just like in the original Revolutionary war, there was an actual army, and units who practiced guerrilla warfare.I see no reason why we can't have both
>>1789362>Brasen Base, Missouri (frozen soldiers) >Seize oil pipelines in Montana (medium set-up time)
>>1789406We can't play like we have a big force capable of extending and holding too much when we don't. We need to stay mostly mobile for now. As far as territory goes, focus on defending and expanding Denver.>>1789362Speaking of Denver, did Denver have any industrial centers that had either bio or normal printers?
>>1789370>>1789372>>1789390>>1789397>>1789409Those gathered in the command theatre debate the merits of your next move. It seems the majority are in favor of seizing the Montana pipelines, and to access the Missouri base."Nathan," Jake1 says, looking at the holographic display. "I gotta tell you, I really do think we should pull out of Salt Lake City. It's tying up our forces," "No," You say. "Unacceptable. We will not back down in the face of the foreign invaders,""You're playing this thing like the War of Independence," Jake1 says. "When you should be treating it like 1980's Afghanistan. Better tanks and drones are only going to last us until they shoot down the last of our airforce,""At which point we will reassess our position," You say. "It is a regrettable conflict, but one we are winning,""So let's leave on our terms!" Jake1 says. "Not there's!""Jake," You say. "My decision is final."Jake1 sighs. "Goddammit Nathan, fine. But we need more armor. We're getting more milita groups pouring into Denver every day. But we really need heavier firepower. So we should divert some of our soldiers to Colorado Springs and seize their tank divisions stationed there,""No," Mayor Vandal says, consulting her data pad. "Satellite footage indicates a massive enemy surge about to strike Salt Lake City. This will be their largest offensive yet. We need everyone coming into Denver to continue on towards Salt Lake City,">Divert some soldiers, capture the tank divisions in Colorado Springs. >All forces head for Salt Lake City ahead of the enemy offensive"Speaking of Denver," You say. "It is now required of everyone in the base to undergo a brain mapping for the lazurus project. Are there any organic depots in Denver?" "Most everything was sabotaged by the Colorado army," Jake4 says."No," Jake5 says. "It was too precise. It was either Interpol or Chinese special forces. They're on to our printing capabilities," "Nelsen no doubt," You say. "May he burn in hell," Jake4 says, pouring himself a drink. "By the way Nathan, I just brought in the girl from Oklahoma,""Dr. Manning," You say, turning towards him. "I offer you a chance at redemption. Take the girl and reclaim Helios for us," "O-of course General," Dr. Manning says, taking out a throat losange and popping it in his mouth. "Yeah hold on," Jake4 says. "She's not exactly cooperating. She wants to speak to you," You raise an eyebrow. "I know I know," Jake says, throwing up a hand. "Look if you want I can just break her, I thought maybe you'd want to avoid that,">Go talk to her>Send Jake>Send someone else
>>1789462>Divert some soldiers, capture the tank divisions in Colorado Springs. >Go talk to her
brief break for a brief break at work, will resume and address answers at about 11pm central time
>>1789462If an enemy force is moving on salt lake we NEED to pull out. Our goal is too important and we can't afford an all out confrontation. A siege is bad enough, but now we have exactly the reason it is bad for us coming. Since we know ahead of time, we need to pull out and divert resources to where they are most effective.Don't try to fight the entire army with a small force. We will get overrun. Zerg rushes work, and as soon as they get 1 of our high tech forces, suddenly our whole fleet power goes down a lot. Committing our entire technologically advanced force here is a catastrophic mistake. If we absolutely must stay, divert salt lake forces to capture those tanks and come back and roll over the coalition once they have left their entrenchments. Also talk to the girl ourselves.
>>1789506You realize Block to block fighting doesn't actually FAVOR zerg rushing right?
>>1789514It does when the defenders are out of ammo
>>1789462>>Go talk to herMake sure she's searched thoroughly before though>Divert some soldiers, capture the tank divisions in Colorado Springs. This is a completely fucking destroyed city. It will be crawling with our militia and it will be almost impossible for large amounts of armor to raise hell, so I have full faith that our forces there can hold out until those tanks get there>>1789520If the Ammo shipments don't arrive, and we start getting pushed out from Salt Lake, then I could seriously consider pulling out completely, but we have almost every advantage
>>1789506>>1789536How about a compromise? We don't pull out of salt lake but we withdraw most of our forces while leaving a skeleton garrison and make sure that while we withdraw most of our troops we saturate the entire city in traps and ambushes so as to kill as many enemy combatants as possible which should give us two benefits. One that we can claim we never abandoned the city while preserving our high tech equipment. Two is that turning the city into a slaughterhouse would seriously damage the morale of the attackers who would probably lose a hell of a lot of morale as well as the footage and news of the bloodbath would drastically decrease support for the war among the civilian populations of the members of the coalition.
>>1789697I mean it's not really a compromise, because the city is gonna be taken, albeit with much more causalities on their side. What we should be doing is doing hit and run attacks on their supply lines, so their assaults consist of less and less intensity
>>1789462>Divert some soldiers, capture the tank divisions in Colorado Springs.>Go talk to herI think we should pull out. Also we may aswell sell the drone patent to some other nations. Sell it to the Indians, Russians and maybe a few other nations here and there. Make sure the ones we sell are only engineering blueprints and not the software included. Selling patents to at least 2 countries should flood us with some good dosh.
>>1789697Captcha ate my post fucking postIf we do decide to stay, we should mine all the roads, build bunkers and shelters, tunnels in and outta areas and the city, and leave a hardcore smaller fanatical force to cause hell.So long as the supply and exit points to the city are not cut off we can do this, while the main force can hit their supply lines and rear, and try to trap the force in the city.
>>1789863If we sell any patents, send them with the software but put in a Backdoor we can use to take control of them if they set them against us. Encrypt the entire software, include code that detects decryption attempts and scrambles the software package, and tell them the pentagon put it in the scrambling to stop it from being interceptedIf we do this, we can get some free drones if they fuck with us.We can even take it a step further and use a "traitor selling stolen tech" and really sell the act to them by sending an assasin after the traitor with orders to purposefully fail and suicide with cyanide(The "assassin" and "traitor" would be Lazarus clones edited like we did with the the interpol team to be perfectly loyal and willing to die)
>>1789932Agreed. Let's Stalingrad those fucks.
So the general consensus is to make salt lake city a giant death trap while fucking thier supply lines causing massive casualties making the entire war a waste of resources
>>1790644The only thing we're at a disagreement in is if we should pull out completely like >>1789506 or stay and bundle up and hit the supplies like I said
>>1790705we can't lose sight of the main goal holding salt lake city is not that goal. make it a death trap and leave then spread out just like the in tet offensive in Vietnam hit them everywhere remember we aren't big bad america anymore, we are the dying embers of a fire that the slightest wind could extinguish. we have to be guerrilla fighters that is how we win not meeting the superior enemy head on. fight smarter staying in salt lake is as good a suicide for this movement.
>>1790810Ah, like how the revolutionary war was was with nothing but guerrilla fighting and no actual battles?
Just got off work, update coming in the next 30 mins hopefully
>>1791099This is the 21st century not the 18th.
>>1791203it worked for the vit kong it can work for us
>>1791233Yeah I know but the guy I was responding to seemed to think we needed to have pitched battles which would be retarded
>>1791242Kek the North Vietnamese also had pitched battles
>>1791242oh no that would be retarded. what i am saying we do is pull a tet offensive where we open so many fronts at once they won't have the man power to respond. right now they have all there power pointed in one place we need to force them to spread it out till they snap like a overstretched Rubberband.
>>1791099The Americans never tried to fight the whole British army, they fought in the open when they had an advantage and used guerilla tactics when they didn't. Right now we don't have the advantage and shouldn't be trying to make large confrontations. Hit other less defended targets, it both secures valuable resources, denies them to the enemy, and forces the enemy to stretch themselves thin. At this stage in the war, this should be our strategy.
>>1791247Battles that they all lost. Battles which they actively avoided. Do you know what the Vietnam war was?
>>1791266yes this exactly
>>1791255Exactly. We have a superior in small numbers force, so we need to force small number confrontations which we are basically garunteed to win. Chip away at them and build up our strength at the same time.
>>1791255While I see what you're saying I'm afraid we don't have the manpower. Opening up such a large front with so little men has a huge risk of encirclements which could cripple us.
>>1791266But we aren't even fighting a huge battle, we're defending very well, while the coalition wastes valuable manpowerI have never advocated full ww2 esque battles, but nothing but guerrilla warfare won't fucking win a war>>1791269Yeah, but they didn't just win by small Guerrilla forces, and Vietnam and this war are completely different
>>1791295The reason the Vietnamese won was because they were willing to keep fighting but we're able to demoralize the Americans to the point of giving up. Guerrilla warfare was critical to that. The limit to any sort of pitches battle we could have would be akin to what we were talking about earlier by turning Salt Lake City into a graveyard so as to cripple enemy morale.
We shoukd also try to destabilize the east asian theater with rebuilding bridges with old allies and psyching india up for the big fight If shit goes down in china town they may have to pull outEven if they don't they wouldn't be able to spare men for the anerican front
>>1791269>>1791266it was nice to take salt lake it truely was but now we have to leave and take every one and thing that is left and booby trap the ever loving shit out of that place and open in as many fronts as we can strike hard and fast then as they are trying to respond to one place we hit another and repeat until they are spread so thin that we can strike them in the neck and know they won't have reinforcements.>1791295>>1791295
>>1791324Part of that was demoralizing, absolutely, but the Americans were a thousand miles away in a foreign land surrounded by shitty weather. In this case, these are Americans fighting Americans, in the "comfort" of their own homeIt's gonna take a lot more "demoralizing"
ass much as i would love to say we will make them pay for every inch of salt lake they take its just not worth it. we can't hold the city we don't have the ammo or the armor to do it. if we strategically pull out and make the city one giant death they will be slowed and we have time to rebuild rearm and get those maines in the field. >>1791340as i understand it the bulk of the enemy forces a chinks from china.
>>1791340I think I'm at fault for not stating this but we're trying to get the Coalition nations to pull out because we know that if it's us against these state governments alone we'll whoop their asses hence the demoralizing tactics..
>>1791340Its not all americansIt's a coalition force of chinese, european, and most likely californian forces fighting against us
>>1791361yup if we can make the foreigners pull out of the war we can and will destroy California
>>1791340We are fighting against puppet states controlled and financed by foreign powers, if the foreign powers withdraw because it is no longer profitable or is too dangerous, the puppet state isn't being held up anymore and will collapse. The problem isn't the states themselves, they are divided and weak, the problem is the coalition of foreign powers backing them.
>>1791329No ones saying we shouldn't give up on salt lakeWe should also leave some loyal soldiers given the mission of making taking the city hell for the chinks while we handel mor important buisness
>>1791376In fact this is specifically the goal I had in mind when I made the plan involving lazarusing ourself etc at the top of the thread.
>>1791384EXACTLY. Can we all agree that this is at least the simple version of our plan?
>>1791384that would be suicide for those men. even if we could keep them supplied how could we give them air cover or armor, all they would have is the gun and ammo the could carry. >>1791397if we go with this plan we are going to lose every man that volunteers for this.
>>1791384But the fact is that if they retake Salt Lake, it doesn't make us look good, as we lost the city
>>1791402That's the point. For every 1 man we lose they'll lose 5-10. We can handle losing a few hundred men if it kills thousands of Coalition fighters.
>>1791407the only shot i see of us holding the city is if we can get the cryo marines back in action and pray to god they don't have any surprises for us, also remember we don't have that much ammo left.
>>1791457But Lop never said that the new route for ammo we have is fucked or not. All we had to do was reroute it, which we did
>>1791419The problem here is that they have 5-10 men for every one of our men. Even if we have a massive KD, it is still our loss.
You stand from you chair, brushing at your uniform. "I will go talk to her myself," You say. "Jake," You say, turning to Jake1. "I've come to a consensus on the Salt Lake City siege,""Eh?" Jake1 says. "Begin a slow withdraw of our forces. I want to turn that city into a death trap for the approaching enemy,""Do we still want the tank divisions from Colorado Springs?""Absolutely, more tanks never hurt," You say. "And not a full retreat either, we can take our time. Don't want to tip off the enemy," "Understood Nathan," You leave the command theatre, walking through the large circular tunnels that make up the base. You reach a large, metal door, where two milita men stand guard. They snap salutes when you approach. "At ease," You say. "Is she through here?" "The girl sir, yes," One of the militamen says. "Second door on the left,""Wait!" You hear a voice say. You turn and see Mayor Vandal coming up with a tall, tanned man in ill-fitting army fatigues. "Mayor Vandal," You say, nodding. "General wait," Vandal says, coming up to you. She motions at the man following. "This is Dr. Sami,""Pleasure," The tall tan man says, extending his hand. You shake it. "Dr. Sami," You say. "Are you the man we found wandering the desert on drugs?""I like to think of it as a spirit journey," The man says. "But yes, I was picked up by your...unique entourage,""General, I'd like him to look at your face," Vandal says. "You haven't checked in with any medical staff yet since you came to the base,""I'm fine," You say. "Yeah and I probably should have mentioned I'm a pediatrician, not a plastic surgeon." Dr. Sami says. "Also I lost my medical license for sleeping with my patient's mothers. Kinda the reason for wandering the desert. Had to find myself,""Well luckily we found you instead," You say. "So congratulations Mr. Sami, you may have lost your medical license, but you gained a cause worth dying for,""I don't know about dyi-" Dr. Sami begins. "Mayor Vandal," You say, turning to the woman. "I must deal with something here, I would like you to assist the Jakes in preparing for the eventual withdraw from Salt Lake City," "General please," Vandal says. "That will be all mayor," You say. You nod to Dr. Sami. "It was a pleasure meeting you, I promise you will not regret joining us,""Yeah, sure," Dr. Sami says, itching the back of his neck. You nod to the militamen, and they open the large, metal doors. You step into the hallway beyond. The lights are dim. The walls lined with large, metal doors. There's another guard at the second door, this time a spec ops. "Sir" he says, throwing a salute. "Will you need me to accompany you inside?""She's a college girl," You say. "I'll call you if I need you,""Sir," The spec ops says, unlocking the door and opening it. Inside is small room with a cot, sink and toilet. A young woman sits on the cot.
"Hello," You say, approaching the chair. The girl does not look at you. You touch the back of the chair. "May I sit?" She does not answer. You take a seat. "Allow me to introduce myself," "General Oman," She says, still staring at the wall. "I know who the fuck you are,""Do you?" You say, raising one eyebrow. "I'm surprised, not many did back in my time," "I know all about you, and your kind," The girl says. "Fucking unionist bastards,""Strong language for someone who wasn't even alive at the time,""I didn't need to be! I've heard the stories. You and the other fascists let ten million people die in the desert!" "If you are referring to the heat waves of 23'" You say. "That was not my fault. The government does not control the weather," "Fuck off!" The girl says, turning to you. She is clearly holding back tears. "Fuck right off! All of south American collapsing, years of drought! And what does your president do? Finish a goddammed super wall and leave ten million refugees to die in the desert!""That is a lie!" You say, you're voice rising despite your attempts at staying calm. "Made by our enemies!""It doesn't matter if it was ten million or one million, the people of south america needed you, and you didn't let a goddammed one in!""The people, the people!" You say, almost mocking her. You surprise yourself, you have no idea why you're growing angry. "Yes ten million innocent people dying in the desert! Except that when a country collapses it's not just the innocent who come is it? No, while Venezuelan and Chilean and Colombian mothers and children came north, so did ex-military and criminals! Everyday, men trained by the worst of the worst would come across our border! Ex columbian spec ops, ex brazilian drug lords, ten of them for every twenty innocents!" "It doesn't matter if it was fifteen out of every twenty!" The girl says, standing. Her fists are clenched. "Your government spent trillions on national defense, you could have dealt with it! Instead you cut them off and let them die in the desert!""No-one foresaw the heatwaves," You say. "No-one thought they'd all die so quickly!""And the camps?" The girl says. "Hundreds slaughtered in so called refugee camps?"You grow quiet at this. "That," You say slowly. "That was a mistake. We didn't want those men coming into the camps,""Yeah well you didn't stop them either," The girl says. "Just like you didn't help the refugees,""The country was tearing itself apart," You say, still quiet. "Our own people were dying. The droughts made the southwest united states uninhabitable. People were in the streets rioting, dying, the middle east falling apart, and we were on the verge of the worst food shortage of the 21st century,""Yeah well, your President Timmerman sure did a damn good job of keeping order,""Enough," You say, standing. "It is clear you will be of no use to us,"
>>1791491Oh my Lord how hard is it to explain? We're not trying to win we're trying to make them bleed and suffer for their victory so that they can't have any real triumph meanwhile we'll be relatively unscathed.
"W-wait," The girl says, growing quiet herself. "Wait. Just tell me. Why?" The girl meets your eyes, tears barely holding back. "Why did you take my sister and kill her? Why did you take me?" You stare at her, hard, then let out a slow sigh. "Your sister was kidnapped to assist one of my personal. While she was assisting him, she grew rather close to a very, very powerful individual. This powerful individual liked her, and was calmed by her presence. He eventually killed her," The girl, Cass, gasps. "W-why am I here?" "For one of two reasons," You say, walking towards the door. "You either came to help us with our very powerful man, like your sister, or you came to be buried in a pine box in the desert." You open the door, stepping out in the hall. "I'll give you a day to weigh your options, Ms. Hannover," You shut the door, watching her tear streamed eyes bore holes in you.

If we die before doing so we are done, if we die after, a Jake or someone else can get a clone of us back in the action. After we do that, bring 4 spec ops teams and 2 Jakes to Missouri. As for this girl, we should do the same thing we did with the interpol team. Lazarus chip her, then make a clone loyal to us. She hates our cause and may turn Helios against us, so we need to fix that before using her to get him back. Not chipping Maddie was a mistake.
>>1791571>>. Lazarus chip her, then make a clone loyal to us. She hates our cause and may turn Helios against us, so we need to fix that before using her to get him back.damn the things we do for freedom

>>1791584They haven't even been able to crack open a pentagon base, much less its encryption software in the past 30 years. We are probably ok for now, but on that note it would be good if we could get some anti hacking measures in place.
>>1791579I was going to say this. Can we offer to sell the barracuda drone patents to Bahmed to help them counterbalance against the Chinese? Just make sure the tech and info doesn't fall into hands that would be detrimental to either of us.

>>1791649If we give anyone, even our "allies" any blueprints, make sure we include heavily encrypted software with a backdoor built into it that gives us access if we want. We can set code to scramble the software in case someone tries to decrypt it and say it was left as a security measure by the pentagon. This would give us money and a possibility to receive free drones.I would personally prefer to wait until we find some more pentagon bases with information tech that can help us here.
>>1791690No, that's a bad idea, I basically want to sell the drones before Israel starts selling their own versions, they have a history of selling US tech secrets. Plus if we did that, it would bar us from being able to be trusted and do future business with the respective countries. Maybe if we did that while selling a faulty version to some EU countries or China if they fall for it then sure.
>>1791543>>1791548>>1791571>>1791579>>1791584You step out from the secure wing and walk back towards the command theatre. Dr. Manning, Dr. Sami and Mayor Vandal are leaving as you approach. "Ah, Doctor Manning," You say. "Just the man I wanted to see. The girl will not do. She has been raised on stories told by our enemies of the old administration. Scan her and copy her, then dispose of the original,""Ah yes well," The doctor says. "I certainly will do that General, but I need to take the original now and head immediately to Colorado. One of Mr. Malone's satellites has provided photographic evidence of a "lull" in Helios's blast waves. Likely it is some sort of recharge, but we must head now before he begins his tantrums,""Fine," You say. "But replace her upon your return,""I can tell you're good people," Dr. Sami says. "Mr. Sami," You say, turning to him. "I have recently liberated two American cities and destroyed half our nuclear arsenal. I am feeling rather ambivalent about the survival of people who do not value the cause,""Ah yes, of course," Dr. Sami says, smiling. "Definitely value it. I'm here if any children get sick,""Brush up on your textbooks," You say, leaving. "You've been promoted to battlefield surgeon,"Twenty hours later you, five milita men, all the spec ops, Bahmed and Jake4 are flying over the ozark mountains. "Beautiful," Jake1 says. "Those are some damn fine mountains,""Hm," You say. You are distracted, your mind weighed by the many things you must accomplish. You notice Bahmed sitting across from you, staring straight ahead. "I had mixed feelings about bringing our ISS friend,""Hey I get that," Jake4 says. "But you trust me right?""In certain situations, yes,""Well trust my intuition, honed by years in convert operations. For whatever reason, the ISS is helping us out. Or at the very least, Bahmed really, really hates the same people we do,""Sir," The pilot radios. "We're at the LZ. I'm taking her in now," The Osprey touches down, and your team disembarks. The base is nestled in a valley, at the head of a massive river. Your team treks through the waters, reaching two metal doors the size of apartment buildings. They are almost invisible under years of plant growth. You approach the pentegon command panel. A spec ops soldier pries off the cover, and you boot it on. Minutes later the plant life, trembles, then begins falling in a cascade of green as the doors open. Once opened, your team walks inside. An hour later, five hyrdo-electric generators are starting the thaw process on about two-hundred and fifty cyro tubes. "Impossible," You saw, watching the ice begin to melt. "How did they all survive?" "Oh you know the pentagon," Jake says, watching alongside you. "They probably gave two contracts out for two different cyro programs, and you and your generals picked the shitty one,"
One by one, the cryo tubes slide open. Men, their skin tinged blue, begin to stumble out onto the floor. You and the others assist them. You get them wrapped in foil, then walk them to beds designed for the very purpose. After checking the command database, you locate the leader, a green beret named Martin Jose. He's sitting on a bench, staring at the floor in apparent shock. "Captain Jose," You say, coming up to him. He slowly looks up to you."Sir?""General Nathan Oman," You say. "Sir," The man says, giving a feeble salute. "At ease, get back your strength," You say. "Do you remember why you were frozen?""N-no sir," He says, shaking his head. "That's fine, all in good time captain.""Nathan," You hear a voice say. You turn and see Jake4. He's holding a sat phone. "It's Jake back in Arizona,"You take the phone. "Talk to me Jake," You say. "Nathan," Jake1 says. "Two things, one you need to get out of there. Satellite shows coalition forces headed straight for you,""We need more time to get these men functioning," You say, looking around. "Well you don't have it. An hour, at most,""Fine, and the other thing?" "Jake the fifth found Peterson Mathers,""Who?" You say. The name sounds very familiar. "The Speaker of the House back in the twenties," "Ah yes," You say, "Now I remember. So? He was no Unionists. Republican I think, maybe democrat,""Nathan, he's the speaker of the house. The last surviving member of the Timmerman administration. Peterson Mathers is technically the president of the United States,""And if we have him," You say, your mind racing. "We have a legitimate figurehead for the country,""He's nearby, St. Louis. But look Nathan, I wouldn't advise it. Coalition forces are swarming towards you, and they'd be hot on your trail the entire way.">Leave and head back for RedPoint Base>Head to St. Louis
>>1791716>Get the men out of there, and We'll head for St. LouisWe should expect every base to be watched closely now.
>>1791730this also we have to go in secret to St. Louis
>>1791706The drones are already out there I guess, but anything else we sell we need to secure it from being used against us. Man why did he have to sell it to Israel, I would rather he sold it to the dam coalition...
>>1791716Back to base for now. We can't risk confrontation with our current forces. Lock down the base while these soldiers thaw out, we will be back for them. we shouldn't ride in the osprey if we can help it for a while, too much attention. We should use those stealth tanks for our next outing. Also another thing we can do once our drones and tanks are resupplied is use the osprey as bait. Bring it to another pentagon base and let the coalition follow us there, but catch them in an ambush with forces there ahead o time when they arrive.
>>1791757They are, but there is time from them examining and studying, to making it practical and reverse engineering it, then fielding. If we sell it quickly enough, we can make cash. No ones going to sell blueprints like we did from a 3rd party since they don't have proof of concept or a functional model...... Just selling to Indian first. Offer Bahmed.>>1791716Also we should get to know the guy more, speak to him.>>1791716Evac the men and go back to base. We'll send some men to pick him up, and speak to him.
>>1791811This isn't a bad Idea, the bases tend to be well stocked with weapons and supplies.
That's it for tonight guys, I'll be up around 9 or 10 central tomorrow to address replies and update. Thanks for playing, you guys are great players
>>1791819I don't think we have a way to evacuate them, our osprey can't fit 250 men, all we can do for now is bring a few men back with us and lock down the base again since the coalition is unable to open them.
>>1791846That's fine. Maybe leave a Jake there to be in charge?
sorry, minor delay, quest resumes in about 2 hours
>Breaking news out of the mountainous region of Bhutan today, as Chinese forces surge across the Daklam plateau in order to take the north-east India corridor>Fierce fighting along a mostly uninhabited stretch of mountains, the conflict is only ten hours old and already massive air conflict has been reported>The chinese minister of defense, Xao Li Shun, repeatedly warned Indian forces to withdraw from the border, or "face severe consequences with long lasting effects," >Already the so-called "Anti-Sino League", composed of the UK, Russia, Australia, and others in SE Asia outside of the Chinese sphere of influence have strongly condemned the attack>Chinese allies, the African Confederacy (AC) and the European Union (EU) have already pledged support to bring this conflict to a "quick resolution"
"What's the plan, Nathan?" Jake4 asks, coming up alongside you. "We got coalition forces on our doorstep,""We've got one Osprey," You say. "Nobodies leaving yet. I need you to stay with the men here, get them caught up and up to strength,""But the coalition forces?" Jake4 says. "I'm taking a gamble Jake," You say. "The gamble is that the coalition wants inside this base more then they want to blow it up. So you and the others are going to stay inside here, hunkered down, in the hopes that they think we all left,""Right, lock the door, hide and seek," Jake4 says. "And you're headed back to Redpoint?""No, myself and Bahmed are headed to St. Louis."Jake4 starts laughing, then stops when he realizes you're serious. "What? Nathan no. That's obviously too dangerous,""The sitting president of the United States is living in a retirement home right under the nose of the coalition forces," You say. "I'm going to bring us a legitimate leader for our country,""Right but by yourself? And with Bahmed? When I said I trusted him it was because I recognized a dedicated killer, not because I thought you should go on a best buds cross-country roadtrip,""I will perhaps take one of the spec ops with me," You say. "But those are my orders,""Goddammit Nathan," Jake4 says. "I don't like it, but fine. Go get your dementia president,"Three hours later you and Bahmed, as well as a scruffy spec ops soldier, are walking down the streets of a town called Branson. You're at a dealership, wearing clothes that Jake4 considered "civilian". "Well howdy folks!" A man says, coming out to greet you. "Welcome, welcome, to Big Al's used cars! Only the best foreign imports for the Missiourian on the go!""What do you have that's fast," You say. Bahmed and the spec ops stands behind you, staring at the car salesman. "Ah, well seeing as how the speed limits sixty, that would be all my cars!""Disregard the speed limit," You say. "I want your fastest car," "Ah well I can't really disregard the speed limit in my offerings, but I suppose in a hypothetical world where speed wasn't regulated, my fastest car would by that 1970's Ford Mustang you see by the sign. But that's a collector's item, kinda my dealership mascot. A car from another time, you know what am saying?" The man laughs."How much," You say. The man stops laughing. "Ah, sir, I assure you it is far to expensive and not worth your time. Who even uses gasoline anymore, am I right? Now if I could direct your attention to this toyota over here,""Bahmed," You say. Bahmed approaches with a briefcase, opening it up before the salesman. The briefcase contains gold bricks. The salesman let's out a long, slow whistle. "Well shit," He says. "I guess you just bought yourself a mustang,"
Two hours later Bahmed steers the car off an interstate exit ramp. You watch the Saint Louis arch pass by. The city hasn't changed much in thirty years. It somehow looks grimier, like a fog has descended permanently over it. Bahmed drives the car down several side streets, stopping in front of a boxish, small house with a picket fence. The lawn is well-tended, and the sides clean. You get out, as does Bahmed and the spec ops soldier. "Want us to come in with you sir?" The spec ops soldiers says. "Stay with the car," You say, waving him away. "I won't be long," You walk up the pavement towards the small porch and door. It opens as you near. "Hello," A hunched old man says, waving at you. "Saw you coming up, think you might have the wrong house though stranger,""Peterson Mathers?" You say, stopping at the bottom step of the porch. "Aye that's me, who are you?" "Nathan Oman, may I come in? I'd like to have a moment of your time,""Fraid you won't be converting me to any faiths sir," Mr. Mathers says. "Got a perfectly good one already,""I'm not here to tell you any good news of a heavenly nature," You say. "I'm here to talk about something very important. Now may I come in?""Suppose so," Mr. Mathers says, moving away from the door. "What about those two fellows at the car? They coming in or just hanging around like delinquents,""I assure you Mr. Mathers," You say, passing through the front door. "Those two men are the most gentle souls you'll ever meet," Mr. Mather's shuts the front door behind you, then leads you into a living room that smells of old newspaper and spilled coffee. "Please please, have a seat," Mr. Mather's says, motioning at an easy-chair covered in newspapers. You take the stack and set it on the floor, then you sit. You can hear Mr. Mather's rooting around in the kitchen. "Cream or sugar in your coffee Mr. Oman?" Mr. Mather's calls from the kitchen. "Black is fine," You say. Mr. Mather's emerges from the kitchen with two cups in hand. "You looked like a man who has it black," He says, handing you a cup. "Me, always had to have that cream," He sits on a sofa, sighing loudly. "Ahh, that's it. Now, what did you want to talk about?" "In truth, Mr. Mather's, I wanted to talk to you about becoming the next president of the united states."Mr. Mather's stares hard at you, then understanding washes across his face. "Ahhhh, that's it. I recognize you now. "Mr." Oman," The man chuckles. "You're the unionists general, back from the grave to give hell to all those poor people in Salt Lake City," "I suppose that's one way to put it," You say, sipping your coffee. "I like to think of myself as one of the many trying to reunite a conquered and beaten peoples.""And with me," Mr. Mathers says. "The last speaker of the house, you have a legitimate president,""Exactly," You say.
"Hmm," The man says. "It does sound nice. Maybe if you had come to me thirty-five years ago." Mr. Mather's gives a small shrug. "But I'm afraid I can't help now. You have to face it general, there's no bringing back the united states,""So you're happy with the current state of affairs?" You say, your voice raising ever-so-slightly. "Foreign powers dictating our laws and ways of life? Severe economic depression? Lawlessness?" "Oh sure it's not like the old days," Mr. Mather's says. "But it's actually nice in other ways. Simpler. Less stressful. Stress kills so many you know,""I will not stand by while the greatest nation the world has ever seen is laid low by her enemies," You say. Mr. Mathers chuckles again. "They said the same things in Babylon, and Egypt. The romans had a good one, over a thousand years depending on who you ask. The Tang, the British, so many empires come and gone. History defeats them all." Mr. Mather's takes a sip of his coffee, savoring it. "America had a good run general. Almost three hundred years, that's longer then most. But your country is gone now, just like Rome. If you actually take some time to look around, I think you'll find the change is often a good thing,"You set your coffee to the side, and clear your throat. "Mr. Mather's, it is true that the likes of the British empire are gone. But the British Empire didn't spend a trillion dollars on city-destroying weapons platforms that orbit the earth," Mr. Mather's raises an eyebrow. "Oh?""You see Mr. Mathers, I'm really offering you a choice. A choice I'll offer many in the coming days. You can either be on the business end of the dormant super weapons dreamt up by the pentagon, or you can be standing beside the man firing them,""That would make me complacent in your acts," Mr. Mathers says. "That is certainly one way to look at it," You say. "Another would be that you are by my side, influencing me. One small town mayor in particular has already had a positive effect on my demeanor,""Oh," Mr. Mathers says, nodding. "So it's now my responsibility, and seventy year old man I might add, to keep you from killing everyone?""As I said," You say, almost smiling. "That is one way to look at it," "Ah fine," Mr. Mather's says, standing. "I'll be the king loon of loon island if you want me to be. Maybe I can pass some good laws on coffee while I'm at it, get this pig swill off the shelves,""That's the spirit Mr. President," You say, standing. "Let's rebuild our nation,""Hmrph," Mr. Mathers says, nodding.

>>1792796We need the transportation for the marines first. We should also call Hutch to some meeting, see if we can't settle this diplomatically before we have to kill our fellow patriots

Bahmed is proving an excellent driver, speeding up when appropriate and quickly slowing when law enforcement drones hover overhead."First order of business Mr. President," You say, taking out a cell phone. "It seems one of our former allies has turned against us,""Lord above," Mr. Mathers mutters. "Nothing's changed,"You dial a number into the phone. It rings, and a husky voice picks up. "Yellow?""Mr. Hutch," You say. "General Oman. One of my subordinates has just informed me that you are firing upon my men in Montana,""General Oman, what a surprise," Hutch says. "I was just about to call you to tell you to withdraw your forces from the North West Nation of New America,""Mr. Hutch," You say, inspecting your nails as you talk. "I must admit to being surprised. You told my man Mr. Malone you were a unionists,""More so then you," Mr. Hutch says. "You pulled out of Salt Lake City you coward. I will bring about the unionists dream. And I shall do so without the help of a yellow tailed general who's been in hiding for the last three decades, while I have been fighting for the cause," You sigh, ending the call. "Not good I take it?" Mr. Mathers says. "No. I must now decide between a costly military offensive to take oil piplines, or a risky assassination,""Might be better to just leave the whole situation alone," Mr. Mathers says, peering out the window at the passing farms. "Does a man with super weapons need oil pipelines?""Unfortunately yes," You say, dialing Jake1.>Send the tank divisions to seize the pipelines>Send a Jake to assassinate Mr. Hutch>Send Bahmed to assassinate Mr. Hutch

>>1792850Pull out, let them distract the coalition and take some pressure off us. No need to waste resources on someone we have a common enemy with. Hutch is too reckless, he will probably get himself and his militia killed with his no retreat strategy, might as well let him fight the coalition for us in the mean time.Go back to the other option of setting up more server farms in towns near Denver.
>>1792873>It's not like we would expect a betrayal just for not holding an area. Its more of the fact that no one really weighed the negatives of what could happen. I said it would be a huge morale hit, and I'd say a splintering of the Union (again) kinda fits in

Cass Hannover sits next to Dr. Manning. In the front seat of the car are two special ops soldiers. The car is approaching the old base, and devastating signs of destruction are already apparent. "Wow," Cass says, looking out the window. "This is what the general's war is doing. Big suprise. And here I am in the car with the unionist knock-off Mengelee," "I am no unionist Ms. Hannover," Dr. Manning says, popping in a throat losange. "My loyalty lies to science. And the destruction was done by one man, but not the general. I am afraid you are looking at the results of a temper tantrum thrown by a nuclear man,""Is this the same man who killed my sister?" Cass says. "Oh yes, quite,"The car pulls off the road, bumbling through rocky terrain. "Sorry," One of the spec ops says. "Interpol's got the area shut down for miles, we're going through the woods. Pretty soon we'll have to stop and walk,""Great," Cass says, pressing against the ceiling to avoid the rocky movement of the car. An hour later the car stops, and after three hours of walking they reach a ridge. Once on top of the ridge, the group stares down into a large, massive crater. A small, black dot rests in the center of the crater. "There's our man," Dr. Manning says. He motions to one of the spec ops soldiers, who starts buckling a harness around Cass. "Wait, what's going on?" Cass says. "You haven't even told me what to do!""Just be like your sister," Dr. Manning says. "Calm him down,""Christ now you sound like my parents," Cass says. The spec ops soldier finishes buckling her up, then gives her a thumbs up. "So what, I jump now? I'm terrified of heights," "No matter," Dr. Manning says, shoving her off the ledge. "I'm terrified of failure,"Cass screams all the way down, finally coming to a stop and swaying on the end of the rope. She unbuckles herself, dropping down to the ground. Cass brushes at her pants, then starts walking towards the center of the massive crater. "This is stupid," Cass says to herself. "This is so stupid. Hi, my name's Cass, and I'm walking towards a super-powered man who killed my sister. Did I mention I'm doing it because I was kidnapped by a mad general? Because that also happened," She finally spots the man. He's naked, kneeling on the ground. He's staring at a patch of dirt. "Hey," Cass says, waving. "Hi, um sir?"He looks at her, then looks down, then slowly looks back up. He squints at Cass. "Okay cool," Cass says. "My names Cass Hannover? You may recognize that name from the girl you killed?"The man opens his mouth, a look of anger and sorrow washing over his features. The ground around him trembles. Cass throws out her hands"Okay okay sorry sorry, they said it was an accident," Cass brushes a strand of hair away from her face and takes a step closer. "Look, man, uh, do you have a name?""Ben," The man says, slowly. "Benjamen. Franklin."
"Huh," Cass says, taking another step forward. "That's weird. But sure, I can work with that. Ben? Would you mind coming back with me so the big scary general doesn't murder me?" "G-general?" Helios says. "General Nathan,""Yes that one," Cass says. Helios stares at her for a long time. "Maddie," He says, quietly. "If me pretending to be Maddie gets you out of this crater, sure," Cass says. "Why the fuck not,"Helios gets up, still staring at Cass. He approaches her. "I'm sorry," He says. Cass crosses her arms, trembling. Finally she sighs. "Yeah buddy, me too. Now let's go back to the mad scientists,"

Jake1 says, clapping after Bahmed kills another soldier. "He's gotta have cybernetics, I mean his skills are unbelievable.""This is all so much of a waste," You say, your voice low. "Hutch is a fool," "Oh welcome to politics," Mr. Mather's says. "This faction doesn't like that you did this, that faction swears revenge for that. You'll never please everyone. There's a million Hutch's out there. Wouldn't have mattered if you'd kept Salt Lake City or not. Hutch just wants power,""Sure," Jake1 says, watching Bahmed move to the next room. "He's got power now, let's see how well he keeps it,"Bahmed reaches the end of a long hall. He opens the door, and is met with a flurry of bullets. He quickly ducks to the side, emptying his own gun into the room. There's silence. Bahmed walks in to find Hutch of the Last Frontiersmen bleeding out against his desk. "Mr. Bahmed," You say into a mic. Bahmed opens up a computer, where your face appears. "Hello Mr. Hutch," You say. "Bastard," Hutch says, spitting up blood. "Using a damn mud-skin to kill me in my own home,""Don't use slurs Mr. Hutch," You say. "They don't look good on tombstones.""You'll never win," Hutch says, coughing up more blood. "All them chinamen are gonna kill you,""Perhaps they will," You say. "But they'll have to go through your men first. This year his city was taken over by rebel militias, then destroyed by coalition forces. He joined the unionist cause after the bombs killed his three sisters and his father. His mother went insane and disappeared.Luke left his city for the first time in his life yesterday. They tell him his city is lost, but he knew that. The only thing left of his city are smoking ruins. He and two hundred others are crouched in trenches dug outside Grand Junction. Coalition jets have been doing fly-overs all morning, but the trenches have not yet been discovered. A nearby radio squawks, and Luke's srgt answers it. He exchanges a few words, then puts down the walkie talkie. "Incoming infantry columns!" The Srgt. says. "Wait until they pass, then come out firing!" To Luke it sounds like a suicide mission. Most of the orders are. The militia command aren't very good, sending their men into terrible situations. That's how it started in Salt Lake City. Luckily for Luke, everyone eventually just dug in deep and let the drones do the work. Luke has heard stories of excellent commanders, such as the tank captain Bellfast, or the Jake they call the third. Jake the Third is excellent at keeping men alive. Luke hears the rumble of diesel engines, then the ground shakes. Minutes pass, then suddenly Luke's srgt screams. "They're in the middle now, GO GO" The Salt Lake City recruits throw of the tarp covering the trench and charge out screaming. Luke does the same, gripping his M16 and scrambling over the top. He can see the surprise in the faces of the Chinese soldiers riding the trucks. Luke and the other militia pause, taking aim. >Roll1d100

And does it all again. When the guns stop firing the enemy infantry are all slumped over dead in their transport trucks. Luke slowly lowers his rifle. "Thank you Joseph Smith," Luke whispers."Incoming armor!" The srgt screams. "Move towards the building!" Luke finds a large, metal case. He drags it out of the truck and sets it on the ground. He opens it. It is something that resembles a boxy rocket launcher. One says, pointing at the case with his M16. "A gun," Luke says. "A big one," The two militiamen look at each other and shrug. Luke brushes past them and runs up the hotel stairs. He passes other militamen in twos and threes, stationed at the windows. Luke makes it to the top floor. There he roams down the hallway until he finds an open door.Once inside the hotel room, Luke gets to work. He opens the case, takes out the big, boxy rocket launcher, and sets it to the side. Then he takes out the three-piece stand and begins screwing it together. It takes awhile, but eventually Luke finishes. He drags it to the window, then does his best to pick up the boxy rocket launcher and set it on the stand. He straps it into place. The instructions are in chinese, but Luke figures out the on-switch. The rest he googles, and soon the weapon has booted up and synced with the targeting system. Luke breaks the hotel window and points the AT weapon outside. The Chinese armor is here. Two long columns of T-110 Battle Tank's and Viper P7 armored assault trucks ride up the interstate towards Grand Junction. Luke takes aim. The targeting computer asks him to select seven targets, and Luke complies. The first seven T-110's. The targeting computer displays several chinese prompts, with which a quick google search reveals are a confirm order. Luke presses confirm. The hotel room fills with fire and smoke as seven rockets fire off in rapid succession. Luke is thrown back, unprepared for the barrage. The rockets hurtle out into the street, finding their targets and blowing the tanks to pieces. The armor columns screech to a halt, and the turrets swivel towards the hotel."Ah," Luke says. "Darn," The tanks open fire. Shells slam into the hotel, shaking it and collapsing one side. Luke closes his eyes and grips the floor as everything tumbles down around him.The rumbling stops, with new rumbling starting outside. The explosions are loud and angry. Luke looks up and crawls over to a hole in the wall. Outside the armor columns are two long, black stains along the interstate. Luke recognizes it from the battles back in Salt Lake City; Barracuda Drone strike.Luke shakily gets to his knees. He breathes out slowly, then starts packing up the AT weapon. "They're rolling out the red carpet," "Texan hospitality, from what I understand," Vandal says, getting settled and gazing at her data pad. The sedan takes off from the airport and navigates the busy Austin streets. You're accompanied by a motorcade, and finally the sedan pulls in front of the Presidential palace. The sedan doors are opened, and you step out from the car. "Welcome! Welcome!" A large, portly man with white hair and sideburns is coming down the steps. "General Oman it is a pleasure," The man comes to a stop at the bottom and extends his hand. "President Samuel Smith," Vandal mutters under her breath. "President Smith," You say, shaking his hand. "I appreciate your invitation,""And I appreciate you accepting!" Smith says, clapping you hard on the back. You do your best not to wince or grow angry. "Now ya'll come in, can't live in Texas no more without the gotdarned AC." The four of you ascend the steps and enter into the presidential palace. True to the president's word, you are greeted with a wall of cold air as soon as you enter. "There now," Smith says, walking along the marble floor. "Ain't that the ticket!" You follow President Smith up the stairs and into a large, round office. He moves behind an oak desk and takes a seat. You sit across from him, with Mayor Vandal and Jake6 standing behind you."Can I offer you anything?" Smith says, motioning at a well stocked liquor cabinet."No thank you President Smith," You say. "Wellllll I might as well get right down to it then," President smith props both his elbows on his desk and looks you in the eyes. "The chinese didn't like us selling you those planes, and that ol' wiley bastard California's decided to try and get a fast one on us. Whether we wanted to or not, The great Republic of Texas is being dragged into this. "Ya'll were a crazy lot, and I didn't much like your first and only presidential candidate. But I'll be damned before Texas is made subservient to the likes of California and China!" President Smith bangs his desk with a fist. You are angry. You do not like this portly, folksy man. You feel Mayor Vandal's hand on your shoulder. "What are you suggesting Mr. President?" Mayor Vandal says.
"Oh it's simple," President Smith says. "My smart boys tell me there's a big ol' land war coming in the west, and I don't want Texas to be bent over during it. So here's the deal. I'll provide you with an airforce, and army, and all the little nice fixings that come with that. And in return, you're going to use those big fancy pentagon weapons' ah yours to protect the Republic of Texas from a giant Chinese ass whoopin'. >>1793613You'd be surprised. We look at tanks. What can be done?-Adding in graphene into the mix-More efficent elecrical/ turbine or diesel hybrid engines-ERA or other appliques-here in the big one. Look at the exacto program. Tank shells in this era would be very, very, smart.-Autoloader will eventually happen as tank operation becomes simpler. and on that front.-Optional manning. Imagine 1 "commander tank" with a network of 5-20 slaves. Probably able to handle many more drone tanks, but better to have more humans in the mix for the sake of story.-Technology like iron dome/ arena would be standard for anti missiles, but still not perfect.Essentailly guided missiles, but without the rocket motor. Though they could do that too.
>>1793833>Counter ProposalJust so we're clear, I can't just hand over these patents. These are the only things keeping us afloat in this mess of a world. >>1793905no doubt. I suspect our real capability lies in unconventional warfare. The cheapest route would be to see how the tanks preform, then turn the obsolescent ones into VBIEDs (vehicle born IEDs). They dont need to be extensively upgraded, just packed full of high explosives and a remote system. or a motivated volunteer, though we dont win hearts and minds that way. In fact, stripping the tank of excess weight and safty systems in favor of dangerous, yet temporary output for the engine and transmission system would probably be pretty useful. "General Oman, you have yourself a deal," "We're going to need your army and airforce immediately," Vandal says. "Now hol on lil missy," President Smith says. "I agreed, but we gotta make it offical through Texas congress. That'll take a couple days. For now though, seeing as I am commander and chief, I'll offer you all Texan special forces units,""Send them to Denver," You say. "Sure sure, heard about your little coalition offensive. But here's the issue. I'm in this to stop the Republic of California. I can already tell you that every senator and cabinet member I have is going to want to roll across New Mexico wastelands towards Cali lands. We hate the chinese too, but the Chinese haven't been causing us grief for the last twenty years like those california assholes," "We need your assistance against the coalition," You say, narrowing your eyes. "And you will have it! As I said, you have all my special forces, and at good number o' the airforce. But the primary bulk of the texan armed forces heads towards California. And seeing as how California makes up about 40% of the north american coalition forces, I think you'll thank me for it,""Of course," Vandal says. "We appreciate the aid Texas is offering. We will need to begin production immediately then on certain weapons of ours. We will retain patent rights, but we will give you joint command of our advanced technology should you need it,""I assure you I will," President Smith says, standing. "You may not be aware, but as we speak Chinese forces are sweeping into India. India is one of the four major government's opposing the EU-Chinese alliance. Once India falls, and fall it will mind you, the whole of Asia will be China's to take. Now that's good for you, because they won't concentrate on NA while they're fixing up India. But once they're done fixing up India, you bet your ass they'll turn any new american countries to glass""Of course," You say, standing as well. "We all know what's coming," "Good," Smith says. The Chinese-Indian WarorWhy Infantry are now obsolete David Cramp, BBC worldTwo-Hundred thousand. It's been five days, and now international media is estimating two-hundred thousand casualties on both sides of the second India-Sino war. This comes as a surprise to no-one, as experts have been estimating for decades that the first major conflict of the twenty-first century would be catastrophic. Iron Shield systems are at the only thing keeping the conflict from going nuclear, but that doesn't stop both sides from employing everything else. What we've seen so far is clear evidence that infantry are now obsolete. Forget the conflict in North America. The rebels have enjoyed a home-field advantage and mystifying technology likely purchased on the black market. The Chinese-India conflict is what happens when nations go to war. And so far, the conflict has been waged with air-forces and drones. Over two-hundred Indian bunker systems have been destroyed, as well as miles of trenches. Neither side can advance nor hold ground under such heavy bombing. How then, will the war be won? International markets are predicting an Indian loss, but it won't come easily. Likely Beijing will have to commit millions of troops to push through to New Delhi. These troops will of course perish, as well millions of Indian soldiers. This is the new reality of modern warfare China has long been loath to reveal to the world it's conventional military doctrine, so this war, as well as the North American conflict, is a clear sign of Beijing's confidence in its military capabilities. One can only wonder at China's next move after the fall of its last true Asian rival.-David Cramp
