You are the Courier. Caught in the thick of yet another battle as your forces continue their incessant march on the divide. It has been three weeks since your assault began and asides a missing companion and yourself being trapped, progress goes swiftly.

The ZAX reports that robotic casualties are kept minimal thanks to the use of ample surplus armor on the Hazard robots, which are performing exceptionally well with support from heavy weapons by your various tanks, artillery, and heavy bastion robots.

However, progress is necessarily slow due to the presence of mines which must be cleared, scattered enemy positions, use of tunnel networks, and incessant attacks day and night by an enemy almost as indefatigable as you. In response, General Kreger and the ZAX opted to open up a second front to try and squeeze the enemy between two prongs of your forces.

Meanwhile you find yourself underground, having escaped some sort of illusion thanks to a mysterious voice and light.

Having narrowly escaped falling, you find yourself in, what you now percieve as, a human mining barracks. There the lockers and mining equipment stand, not on a backdrop of an ancient alien vessel, but of a common human built mine.

To the other side of the room you find two auto-docs, one smashed beyond repair the other in non-working condition and will take some time to repair. You are in need of it as your legs are still massively injured and throbbing even as stimpaks try to help recover some of the damage.

Meanwhile, the battle rages on above and you ask your commanders and companions for advice.

>Kreger
“I favor a more conservative approach. I believe we can convince the Marked Men to retreat. I’ve seen that not all of them are so incredibly fanatical as to wish to burn to death in the face of our flamethrowers.
My suggestion is to do a forward push with troops and leave the pocket open and allow them to retreat as we push them out. It would be safest and be the path of least resistance. We can shore up our defenses after that.”
>ZAX(MAJOR)
“We aren’t taking prisoners and they aren’t giving us any. We’re going to kill them all anyway, might as well kill them now.
Close the pocket, and cook em like rats before they come back to bite us in the ass! Attack attack attack!”
>CAIN
“I say we focus on rescuing the Courier and maybe the Axe Guy. These big battles always have some general or boss type at the top right?

Do this the way me and my old Brotherhood squad solved our problems. We grab our best boys, go find the general and kill him and all his men. They’ll scatter after that.”

>Chinese
The Chinese suggest digging in and calling building heavy weapons to obliterate the city.

>Well auto-med systems would just be a copy of what's in the stealth suit mk 2
True but this is recreating that reliably and possibly with more drugs like psycho, steady, jet and shit.

>I would say go jetpack for general purpose armour.
Agreed, the vertical mobility would be useful but the suit's weight might make landings dangerous for the user's legs. We'd need to get FO 4's PA's leg hydraulics so they could survive without breaking a bone probably.

>We're using energy weapons, so recoil isnt really a problem for the troops
Actually energy weapons in Fallout can generate recoil I think but only shit like Plasma which some of our troops do use.

>We can probably research alien shield tech so we have full body shields like in halo
That'd be energy intensive and I'd agree to that when we get the PA version which I want to make the standard. However the physical shield is a simple, low cost solution to the problem of having our troops survive heavy fire.

>Yes to pip boys
Agreed. The Geiger counter amongst other things is useful and the radio / message storage is useful. Plus it works as a map for our robotic command structure to feed data through.

>>1772355
>Follow the Zax's Plan, an envelopment to crush the enemy

Remember, their losses are permanent and every loss reduces their potential to innovate and respond to our actions. We should weaken them now as much as possible since they will continue to harass us no matter what. Better to get as many of them now while they aren't able to respond.
>>
>>1772410
Sun Tzu talked about this type of thing in his book, if we allow them a pocket to escape from they will not fight to the death. If the enemy is enclosed they will fight with the Zeal of the last stand
It's in his book somewhere.
>>
>>1772355
Use the general and xats plan, however. Let them 'retreat' and suddenly be roasted between artillery and other mutations
>>
>>1772414
Sun Tzu is a respectable man and a good general. Yet I see no reason to make use of logic based on ill fitting comparisons.

Simple fact is that we intend to take more of this city and that means anyone we let out will be able to educate the rest on our tactics and thus we will face thicker, more effective defences and more sheer numbers thanks to the survivors as well.
>>
>>1772414
This, i remember reading that.
t>>1772355
>Kreger
>>
>>1772419
Yeah, but with all their tunnels and shit, they likely had some people who got out and would not be killed in the encirclement. So doing so for the sake of tactical secrecy is kinda a null point.
>>
>>1772430
If that were the case then they'd escape through those tunnels, just like they would during Kreger's plan.

Only difference is that ZAX is promising a far higher casualty rate on their side and will be pushing them with the intent to kill rather than the intent to scare off.
>>
>>1772437
If they have the high ground, it's better to get them in a less defended spot, so we ourselves take less casualties. It's using the old thing of forcing the enemy to fight where you want them.
>>
>>1772437
I propose we drive them back some more while building up more artillery, until we have them nice and concentrated so we can eliminate them with gas and sustained bombardment. We shoud not worry too much about robot casualties as we can easily replace all those losses and the metal never really goes to waste.
>>
>>1772443
Mate this entire city is a place we don't want to fight them. They've fortified, tunnelled, mined, trapped and generally prepared every part of it. All you are doing is shifting trouble from A to B in the vague hope that their defences will be thinner there.

>>1772445
Can't use artillery to hit the city's inner regions. The tall buildings block the shots.

As to gas? Ghouls'd just heal through it most likely.

Zyklon B maybe? Definitely airburst white Phosphorous. I will have to read up on NBC warfare to give you better examples, though I highly doubt nerve agents would be very effective here.
>>
>>1772641
Scratch Zyklon B.
>>
>>1772529
I did a bit of light reading on chemical warfare and i am sure that blister agents would be especially effective here as they should be easily absorbed by the marked men through their exposed flesh.

There are 6 main types of chemical weapons employed, namely Nerve Agents, Choking Agents, Blood Agents, Blister Agents, Vomiting Agents, and tear agents.

I highly doubt that blood or choking agents would be highly effective against them as the blood agents shut down the ability of the body to reform cytochrome-oxidase, the molecule used by the bodie's cells to produce energy. I doubt this will be highly effective because their bodies differ greatly from normal. Choking agents can easily be blocked and are no longer used today becasue of it.

I can go into greater detail about the rest if you guys would like?
>>
>>1772688
We lack sufficient knowledge of Ghoul biology to state what weapons would function effectively.

This could be resolved by autopsy and vivi-section of Marked Men we capture which works well with the plan to use their brains for the TACTs.
>>
>>1772641
Airburst white phosphorous against the marked men. Id support that
>>
>>1772718
We could attempt to develop Chlorine Tri-fluoride into a weapon but that might be a bit too much.

On the other hand, it'll turn the city into a nice melted pile of slag we can reprocess. Ignoring the poison gas.
>>
>>1772725
Im not familiar with Chlorine Tri-fluoride. What would it do?
>>
>>1772725
I don't think we're at the point where we can justify unrestricted chemical warfare to our people. They might take offense to it, seeing how some of them might recall the gas attacks in New Vegas.
>>
>>1772743
Well it would react with more or less any form of matter it encounters, creating chlorine gas as well as ultra high temperature chemical fires as the fluorine breaks it's bonds with the chlorine and instead attaches to the shit around it.

What is important to note is that this shit turns to a gas at 11 degrees Celsius. Which means that in a split second, it goes from a liquid to a rapidly expanding gas reacting with everything and turning the temperature into a furnace.

It should also be noted that the gas it forms is corrosive, toxic and generally just a fucking nightmare.

“We have no weapons able to reliably kill them.”
“It takes a dozen shots just to penetrate the armor and they go down, but then more of them just come up and drag em away. Its like they keep repairing themselves.”
“-Somehow they know where we are when we stick our heads out!”
“We need bigger weapons.”
“SHADDUP
You idiots. How hard is it to kill goddamn robots. We’ve been fucking killing them since we arrived, Old World Army robots no less!”
“They don’t just have robots. They have a fucking flamethrower tank, an artillery piece, a big huge tank.”
“We need more.”
“We can’t GET more you idiots. Not unless you want to pay the ultimate price.”
“. . .well, maybe we should.”
“Are you fucking crazy.”
“Look boss. I don’t know about you, but we really need the help bad. I haven’t seen a soul, have you? How do you know its real. Even if it is, we live forever as long as we don’t die. Maybe most of us are bound for hell anyway, so its not like we lose anything out if we give them their price.”
“Fuck off. Im not selling my bloody soul”
“Well, boss, if you’re so convinced about your chances, then you should just shoot yourself. Whereever you end up its gotta be better than this. This is hell right here, and I’m sick of it. I’m going to the witch.”
“The fuck you are!”
“I fucking am. And you know what, go ahead shoot me! But it’ll just prove my point.
We need them if we wanna live.”

Battle Update.

Resistance is almost minimal. The enemy is maintaining pot shots from a distance, which are swiftly returned by artillery fire and return sniper fire by order of Kreger, as the robots take cover where they can, lobbing rockets and grenades and basically leveling anything in their way.

Its dangerous for the Spy Bots to be caught in the cross fire, so the firepower is not accurate, and heavy saturation is used in lieu of this.

Every little hole, crevice, or crawl is hosed down by the flamethrower tank.

It appears, for all intents and purposes, the effect to drive back the enemy is a success.

However, the success is short lived. a MASSIVE explosion is felt again, possibly even one of the tactical nuclear warheads or an entire ammo dump, destroying several squads of robots just as you had claimed new ground. The marked men scorching the earth as they retreat, if such a thing were even possible.

>ZAX(MAJOR)
"Fucking tunnels and booby traps.

We're winning but we need to adjust our strategy. They are using these tunnels effectively, and have built them too small for our main line of soldier the Securitron.

I have some requests to make for immediate research!"

---

This ends the battle turn for the month.
>>
>>1772894
Post Battle Assessment:
>Kreger
"This was an intense battle, but comparatively speaking every marked man we kill is gone for good. We can replace these robot losses and press on. If we can even build more robots than we started with and overwhelm them with numbers, the better.

We could open up several fronts in the city, divide their attention. Currently we make an appealing target in our one place."

>ZAX(MAJOR)
"I support the generals assessment. Send teams to collect the scrap from the territory we have so far. Build more forces and attack from more angles.

It is also imperative we find and locate you as well. Your assistance is best used either on the front, or as CAIN puts it to find and eliminate their leadership."

>Continue pushing- broadcast messages requesting surrender in exchange for fixing marked men-ness.

[FAILURE - Though you speak into your pip-boy and on the otherside Kreger holds up a microphone to his radio, and you present a formal case and do your best to persuade the Marked Men to surrender, promising to use science and rational to cure those who have been converted, it would seem none of them are taking it.

Indeed efforts to send robotic envoys or your own soldiers to broadcast this message are merely shot at, or ignored.

You wonder if it is your previous actions and murderous rampage against them, or if they have been convinced of a different alternative. No matter what it reveals that, for now, the Marked Men still refuse to bend to you one way or the other.

Oh well. They were always hostile to you to begin with anyway.]

>zax research
let SPI do their thing with the spy-eyes.

The ZAX decides to build and do a test run with your previous heavy Scout Drone Model, while making a few modifications of her own, and building a prototype all in one thanks to the efforts of CEO and your automated robotics factory.

She immediately scans BigMT, finding nothing of note that James Bond didn't already detect.

However, as she scans further than James' own spy eyebots, she makes an interesting discovery.

>ZAX(SPI)
"Peekabo!

I see you!"

Hidden in the air, made invisibly by stealth technology, are hidden flying robotic drones! You've not seen this model ever before.

They are bordering the edge of NCR / Phoenix Commonwealth Territory, though an exact border doesn't precisely exist in the desert, only on paper.

>ZAX(SPI)
"Hmmmm. I'm not sure if they can see us or not. But I do feel some radar pings coming off those things and I believe I am scanning some high performance camera lenses on their undersides."

The SPI's Spy Drone keeps track of the foreign drone, as the ZAX organizes squads of home reserve Spy Bots to pursue with EMP blasters. However these are short range, so they'll have to get close.

They have tremendous speed thanks to the Alien Metal used in their making and the alien batteries, but the other drone spots them and makes a run for it clearly headed west.

The Spy Drones pursue, giving chase and blasting it, but the drone attempts to duck and weave and escape. It is hit however, and eventually crashes to the ground

However its clear you are almost a mile or two deep into the NCR's side of the border. SPI's drone radar detects vehicles moving in fast possibly a jet or a helicopter from the northwest closing in. They may intercept your drones if they try to retrieve the downed drone.

The ZAX does a lot of flashy noises and quick thinking as precious minutes pass.

Finally the Spy Drone sees what is coming over the horizon, its lens focusing in on what can only be an NCR Jet Craft. It catches a glimpse of the NCR logo on it just before it dives and makes its bombin run, blowing up the downed drone and the eyebots that were carrying it.

Luckily, the Spy Drone escaped the blast.

It depends on what type of quest I imagine. Will it be a civ quest or a hero quest or something else?
I was able to draw inspiration from other quests I've been in, and having hosted similar, non quest games, from both this site and another. You learn a lot from trial, error, and failure and success both.
I myself borrow many elements of my system from another civ quest QM. So simply reading other Civ Quests is a good first step. See what ideas or writing styles other people do, and then discover which one you like and think will be fun with players
What someone else recently told me that helped is this:
-DETAILS make the large [events] interesting. DESCRIBE THE SURROUNDINGS - [like] specifics of your troops and the enemy's troops to give the players something to work with. [rather than] seemigly take place on a blank plane

"I wasn't able to tap into its memory chip before the blast, but I was able to take some choice pictures and from them assemble a clear picture of the drone itself.

There aren't any records here in BigMT or with us to tell you what it is or where it came from, but its clearly a scout drone. Simple propeller propulsion on, what RND and Dr. 0 theorize, to be a sleek carbon/glass, kevlar, fiber and aluminum alloy of sorts.

I spotted two missile pods, which were jettisoned previously to improve speed.

There was a multilense camera underneath clearly meant for long range, hi resolution photos. And I saw a clear radar antannae type. This thing is, in the very least, able to take pictures and send them somewhere else. Furthermore it clearly has at least short range stealth detection capabilities, as it was able to spot our incoming Sp y Eye drones. Though its possible it was able to spot my Spy drone at medium range detection as well.

There was no logo on the device, or if there was, it may have been painted over."

Can we send a diplomatic note to the NCR, asking for an explanation for the previous incident. Why when our own forces which were in hot pursuit of a flying machine of unknown origin were bombed by a plane bearing NCR markings.
>>
>>1774968
I mean they would probably just say they engaged an unkown enemy with force, and our drones, which were trespassing were collateral. Not really going to get much to work with.
>>
>>1774969
We have to at least send a note. Also we are technically a trading partner and they just went ahead with bombing instead of contacting us or sending troops to secure the area.

We have to show some displeasure or let it be treated as nothing.
>>
>>1774970
Its kinda their territory. They can bomb it if they wish, and unless we want to admit to violating borders, we don't really have much to complain about.
>>
>>1774972
It is just how these political games are played.

Also potential casus belli to eventually declaring war while portraying ourselves as the aggrieved party.
>>
>>1774972
Yeah, I pretty much agree.

We don't really have ground to stand on diplomatically without also exposing ourselves.

Let's just treat it as the spy war in which we're engaging. We should definetly adopt this tactic of spy drones covering our borders though.

Good thing we didn't try and infiltrate the NCR to take out their artillery as well - we'd be at war now as they would have seen us coming.
>>
>>1774972
So moving forward, up the production of espionage bots for border control, incorporate the outposts into our CCTV system, sprinkle the desert we control with little pop-up long-range laser turrets for AA and infiltrator shooting and publish our book with a sideorder of propaganda.
>>
>>1774975
Fine send a letter. Just don't expect anything.

What's the casus belli going to be "you bombed an unknown entity in your territory and our trespassing robots got caught up in it"? Not really going to fly.
>>
>>1774982
Fine. Forget it.

Besides it would have been more along the lines of "our forces were in pursuit of a spy which ran right through NCR territory. While taking it down, our forces were attacked by our trading partners without any provocation as they were doing their duty to defend our borders."
>>
>>1774966
Oh okay well then you have the Train!

I'll go find the post, but the jist of it is it will run on your electrical grid. As you are only running at 88% and not using it this very month, and the leftover is enough to get it charged after about month of non-usage. Granted this will increase your energy cost.

However, should you wish you can spend a considerable sum on adding a reactor battery which will entirely remove this problem and make it self-recharging.
>>
>>1774984
Border defense stops at the border. Once they're on the NCR side they aren't our problem.
>>
>>1774990
Hardly matters. This material is just propaganda and the only people it would have been really supposed to convince, in the event of war, is our populace.

>Hazmat clean up bots
Research of the Hazard Cleanup bots continues.

The primary difficulty is maintaining the level of protection that is afforded with the Hazard Robots, while at the same time, not being so near as bulky and large. Most people consider robots 100% immune to radiation, and in general, this is true. In fact the Old World used robots to for direct nuclear rod handling. But for such intense and massive doses, even they need more than a modicum of protection for their electronics. None the least the possibility of exposure to intense heat, caustic acids, rusting moisture, and much more. The securitron model is often too big to fit into small spaces, let alone the much larger Hazard Robot.

So the decision is to keep them humanoid while making them entirely out of alien metal rather than steel. This has increased its fissile material cost. In addition, the application of the repulosor field technology and filtration used on the Exoarmor is also used. The ZAX manages to design it in such a way their armor can be replaced if exposed to caustic substances.

These humanoid robots will be deployed with a variety of tools, such as disposable shovels, metallic hoses capable of both sucking up material and spraying the Sink's Neutralizing-Radiation insulation foam, and a heavy disintegrator to vaporize the most offending materials. Foam can be sprayed on surfaces to help catch the radiation from contaminating other surfaces, while distintegrators work on the solid matter underneath.

As a bonus, they also function quite well as a fire brigade!

>Jacob Miles
"Always bothered me we didn't have that. Even with concrete buildings, we were lucky we didn't get a house fire here and there.

Okay, so we have the robot crews and the human protection too.

Now all we need to do is decide what we want to do with the Toxins. Destroy them or store them somewhere else?

I mean, the whole point of this particular facility was storage and look where that ended up."

>SINK Sink
"Such nasty toxins! If we can destroy them all the better, dearie!"

Possible storage for usage as weapons against NCR? Strategic usage of these gases could render large segments of their industry crippled.

In addition we can literally fabricate storage facilities with inbuild repulsor tech without weld seams or microscopic holes.
>>
>>1775003
Certainly of use to eliminate enemies ignoring their...moral qualities. Also I never did get a response as to if we should make use of chlorine tri-fluoride. >>1772781.

Still with this action we've gotten anti-toxin robots that can double up as our fire service robots the rest of the time but we might want to make some proper anti-fire robots later.

Also I would suggest we construct a few flights of fighter drones and use them to try and eliminate any more of the NCR's recon drones that we can.

We should also see about using our next few turns to just focus on construction robots and other such things so we can harvest the Divide as quickly as possible and shit.
>>
>>1775009
>Also I would suggest we construct a few flights of fighter drones and use them to try and eliminate any more of the NCR's recon drones that we can.

If we do we should consider not shooting down all of them. They dont seem to have detected our own spy drone. We could purposely let one flee and escape while we wreck the rest while our spy bot tracks them to their base of origin.
>>
>>1775014
True but we'd be better off constructing a flight of spy drones and using them to triangulate their base than doing that.
>>
>>1775015
Sort of faster. Especially if we're clearing our airspace of their spy drones, this is something that comes naturally since we might not be able to eliminate all of them and just make it costly and clear that any intrusion will be messily dealt with. Survivors that flee can then be tracked down.
>>
Reminder that we should build a new power plant soon so we can generate Fissile material to convert into metal.
>>
>>1775019
Honestly we could do both plans at the same time, seeing as we need both kinds of drones either way long term. Anyhow, it's not like this is a high priority mission compared to the Divide and harvesting everything we can there.

You consider you have to work on a better system for that.

In any case, the other hard part is the dish meant to amplify the voices signals itself. Normal metals don't seem to do much, however, you almost think you hear a faint whispering if you stick your ear up to your Alien Raygun (which you did purely out of luck after falling over and nearly passing out whenwhen putting on the original helmet).

You start dissassembling your alien weapons and begin making a sort of dual dish system around your shoulders. Its bulky and looks ridiculous, but you are hoping it will work.

I had scavenged the fallen Zetan Star fortress for parts which fit according to his designs, as a means to amplify my message by blocking out Neurodyne. This I have combined with sitting in a chair of alignment and cleansing my own body of neurodynes with Zetan Radiation, and the song and mediation of my fellow brothers and sisters of the spoke.

If someone could scour the archive and find evidence of a non-linked 100 or 1 being used that'd be lovely for this moment in time but I can't since it is nearing 1 AM for me and I feel like death.

>And this is clearly roll aboos.
Not really. You left an open vote for multiple hours using a system which uses of "best of". So this sort of thing always happens. It's a fact of the system as players returning to the quest, i.e catching up after sleep or work or anything else, feel the need to vote since every other vote is bad and the same goes for new players.

Of all those rolled numbers there was only one occasion where a person rolled twice and that occurred with both votes within five minutes of each other and within ten minutes of the rolls opening.

So we have the cultist working underground in the Divide and smuggling whatever crap between the nations. Moving forward, we should research the flexible robots that were discussed way-back-when and start deploying them in the tunnels asap. (Small, multi-limbed flexible robots witch cheap explosives and a few sensors to crawl around tight spaces (where even a tunneler could not) and gather intelligence,in case of discovery/danger it would be able to detonate itself and blow up people/caves to hinder the enemy, the point was to spam the caves with them and wait until they find something for the bigger bots to mop up).

The intense storm rages on. Lightning and thunder crack the sky as the land is basked in eternal night, the sun blotted out by an intense sandstorm and the only light being the glow of green as radiation sweeps through the divide.

Such a terrible gale and razor sharp sand flays the skin off all living things. The few men you have huddle inside their exoarmor and inside buildings, vehicles, or any kind of cover.

Such intense weather is blocking even your own radio communications. Whole squads of robots are cutt off, a select few trying to link them up with makeshift cables dragged on the ground, but the entire army has been effectively shut down.

It would seem however, that so too have the Marked Men, who themselves are staying underground as well.

With both forces incapacitated, and the unnatural storm raging on, it would appear that for the turn no battle would be commencing above ground.

Its a simple enough action to return to the main empty cavern. Most notably, the doors are different.

The alien door is now simply rusted metal pulled aside, as are all the other doors. There is no more light from one, just darkness.

The one thing that has not changed is the large open room with the blue glow coming from within. Everytime you face it, your helmet goes statticky or silent.

>You
You throw some rocks and metal stuff into the room, sure enough you cannot hear AHS-9's voice.

It seems to be like a bottomless ravine over a deep water separates you and the light.

Then, for a moment, you hear screaming. A cacophany of screams, echoing throughout the chamber and inside your very skull.

The chamber glows red, red like blood, before there is a sound of glass shattering.

And then, absolute silence. You blink and find that the bottomless ravine is just a. . .regular old stone floor. You cannot see the source of the light. In fact all you find are these odd crystal dust and fragments of shards.

There is stairwell leading up and out of here.

>con't
>>
>>1777001
So now we start systematically killing every tunneler we find. Focus on the queen and try to recruit marked men to help us locate them/provide intel on the enemy.
>>
>>1777006
Okay, so according to your test of slightly opening the door, the door at the top of the stairs leads to the surface.

The bad news is that the door itself is exuding radiation that would kill the average human, let alone whats behind it. It's almost like nuclear fucking fuel is behind that door, on top of the dust storm.

So close but so far. You could theoretically survive if you started pouring Rad-X and Radaway into your veins on a constant flow, but you don't know how far out this intense radiation extends.

Seems you'll have to wait out until reinforcements can arrive to rescue you.

Not necessarily.

Actually there is a way to rescue you. You could send a ghoul like Cain and expend medicine as Rad-Away to try and get you out before you fry.

But effectively military operations are all grounded due to the storm, even the underground is suffering from some sort of lightning generated EMP effect.

>Continue pushing- broadcast messages requesting surrender in exchange for fixing marked men-ness.

Would a write-in text help a little?

"Attention denizens of the Divide, this is [whoever is speaking to them] speaking. If you are more than just mindless feral ghouls, please listen to our offer. We, the Phoenix Commonweath of America would like to start peace negotiations. We will enact ceasefire from our side and stop hostilities for the next 72hours awaiting for you reply. If we don't get response from you, we will assume that you re feral ghouls incapable of reason and take upon ourself to end your suffering."

We can talk about fixing their specific condition or at least making it more bearable once we get them on the negotiation table. We can't we sure we can help them or not.
ACTUALLY, there is a way to help them and that is having them join Unity. Iirc, a lot of people joined Unity because of the same reason.

Yes I am working on it. If not now then when I wake up in a few hours

---

After a long and painful run through the rads, where you think your skin burned off three times and you can taste radaway on your tongue and see orange, you are rescued by Cain. Right from the middle of the very crater itself.

You assemble a party to go investigate the tunnels.

You discover your underground robots to have been unmolested while in slumber, and even more surprisingly, you find a very boody, gore soaked Ax Man.

He is not alone, and appear to be chatting with some kind of raider. A boss type by your reckoning. A rather large fellow, with skulls and decorations.

And you recognize his voice.

Wait a minute. That's Vincent-Vincent!

>Axe Man
"Boss! Look who I found!"

>Vincet Vincent
"Well fuck a tiny little cunt, it's you!

What the fuck are you doing here?"

>What say?
>>
>>1777043
Yes, but having a bunch or murderous hate-ghouls enter Unity would screw up their balance, making them act more murder-ghoul-y. I think that we get them to the table, pump them for all the info they have, maybe use them in our war against the tunnelers/old ones and when we have taken all we can from the divide we see how well they have adjusted. If they can be trusted I see no reason why we couldnt work a deal with them the way we have with Unity. Make them into people again. But under no circumstance will we give them to Unity or allow them leeway in the way we conduct things. And if they cant be reasoned with then we continue the assault. There are bound to be less of them now and as the witch said, tunnelers are bad against bots and flamethrowers. Just continue cooking the city. Our priority is still taking the Divide and killing/capturing the Big Bad envoys.
>>
>>1777049

One of your many many companions you hung out once upon a time with back in the Mojave, left with Niner, Mellissa, and Cyan and the Fiends after Hoover dam.

>>
>>1777056

"Warlord Niner sent me here. Said to go see if the Witch wanted something when trading with the skinless ghouls.

Turns out these skinless ghouls could't hold out against a robot force a tenth their size. Bunch of pussies. Waste of ammo to sell to them. So we decided to pull our shit back and just sacrifice them to the great elder one and keep the rest as slaves.

Easy pickings all trapped underground during this storm.

Say, you haven't seen any robots around here have you?"

>Axe Man
"Tell him! Tell him all about the robots!"

Those robots belong to me. Funny story Vincent while you joined up the MLA we been having a heck of a fun time with robots. Funny how the world works

>a robot force a tenth their size

good info. So there were about 2000-3000 Marked men out there. How many had we killed?
>>
>>1777063
MLA confirmed shit-tier. Kill them all. Maybe we can flood their market with narcotics (think Jet and Redding in F2) and start turning the head honchos away from the elder gods. Ask him what the deal is with the elder one and anything else spooky-scary. Then either kill or capture if he gets suspicious.

Is AXEMAN completely loyal to us or would he side with the raiders?
>>
>>1777068
Let's see how they feel about our robot force first.

Also we should tell him that funny story where we beat up a super mutant to get his hog. And wanted to meet him back in Salt city, but wasn't allow in.

We should get a natural peace set up. Since I don't want to fight the MLA just yet.

>>1777070
That is also good news for us. Each robot is worth 10 marked men
>>
>>1777071

>>1777071

>>1777074
I am not talking trade. I mean get them addicted to a debilitating substance only we can make. Making them dependent on it. Giving us an edge in disturbing their power base and destabilizing them/having them attack what/when/where we want in return for the drug. They can make Jet on their own just fine.

As to the AXEMAN (not plural), we cant be sure he doesnt have any ties to his raider buddies. Especially since he has been shown to be intelligent (referring to that one thought-through argument on axebots, if I remember correctly) so we cant be 100% sure.
>>
>>1777080
AXEMAN was a raider?

Maybe we should develop even worse type of drug which only we can make? Jet on steroids kinds of thing.
>>
>>1777080
That's the plan trade them this super better Jet for goods and services from them.

Giving them free jet is fishy, trading not fishy. We need the slaves for pop, and we can get smart slaves to increase our research.

>>1777081
Buffout is the super steroids of Fallout. Having permanent long term effects if taken too much.

We can just trade them Jet, but not trade them drugs that will make them better at combat
>>
>>1777081
That was the point. But I would like it to be an opioid. Mellows out the user and reduces cohesion. We just have to figure out how to make it more addictive while shortening the effect.
>>
You know, looking at this >>1776809
>Impasse of the Lords of War, and the negotiation
It should have been obvious that it is not about Marked Men.

The leaders of MLA have always been referred to as War Lords.

>>1777063
"Witch? Elder one? What the hell are you talking about?"
>>
>>1777081
AXEMAN is like his name said. A guy with a axe. He used to be a raider now he works for us 3 years running

>>1777085
Jet is what is super addicted, in lore more addicted than coke. We have the best tech in the fallout wastes around us. Just use a turn and we can make something good
>>
>>1777086
Seems like the MLA elder one are getting stronger. Good for the MLA, bad for the NCR. And good for us at current time. We will get the divide, NCR will be weaken by MLA but we have to worry about MLA getting more power.

The metal in the divide will be enough to make a shit ton of robots. And we should finish that railroad so we can trainload the metal to and from super quick
>>
>>1777088
Jet, in game mechanics, boosts ones combat abilities. And if we make it more addictive, thats fine. What I propose is an opioid drug that lowers the users combat effectiveness while making the user crave more of it. Since making jet is a widely known process and many groups in the wasteland are high up in the tech tree I see no reason why some of them couldnt reverse-engineer it and use it for themselves. If we put the time into making a new drug down a line we dont often see in Fallout (with the exception of med-x/morphine) and improving on that design while achieving the results we desire (make them lazy, instead of pain resistant) we can achieve a greater amount of control over the MLA factions and thus the whole alliance.

And no, I dont mean give the drugs away but that trade is not the primary use of the drugs.
>>
>>1777091
Jet is the easier to make just take some Brahmin shit. Do science and bloom Jet had been made.

And guess what we have? Brahmin shit to make all the Jet we want. With a bit of science here and there we make it super addicted and much more shit.

Most wastelander will just make the drug and get high. If you want to see high in tech tree you go up NCR tree. The MLA just make it and take it's. Most of there science is taking this piece of shit with another piece of shit and somehow it works together.

NCR is making super soilders with drugs. MLA is just getting high off it.
>>
>>1777096
What? Mypoint is that we could, instead of trying to take over an existing market, make a new market for the drug that nobody has seen before (like the Morenos did with Jet and Redding). We can produce whatever drugs from salient so production is no big issue. And the NCR uses mostly stolen tech, either from the Federation crash site, the Frontier or Vault City/Shi. They are not brilliant scientist, the scavenge like everybody else. And the fact that we could start influencing the MLA on a large scale is worth the time investment. Just have to find a few people to push the drug for us, be the face of the thing and not have everybody link it back to us.
>>
>>1777099
To make a better drug from stach.we need.to have a good understanding of the drugs we already know.

We do have a chemical plant, and we are super high tech civ. So we can just make a new drug from something we have that the others don't have.

We could bring back old world drugs or just make something new, like shooting nuclear waste into your vines type of drug. Who knows maybe we can get some deathclaw blood mix it with something and bloom we have a new drug. The.possibilities are endless we can do what we want with our super high tech lab
>>
>>1777103
Seems like ID changed. No matter as we will raise to the top of the world. And no one can stop us.

And fuck the MLA for suppling the Marked man. That's like Israel supplying Iraq with weapons while invade it. Too bad the MLA gained from the Marked man, the ones that lost are the marked men. We gained EXP in combat got a kicking outpost and soon to have all the metal in the divide

Can marked men even survive outside the divide? They need ton more rads to survive maybe the slaves will become kill from leaving the divide

We're trying to hit the NCR from the side but the fuckers have some real good shit pitching in for them. Don't always know what it is, typically cause they usually don't leave much alive to tell the tale in between the bombs and long range fire.

He balls his hand into a fist and smashes it bare against a wall.

>Wait a minute, not the same guy who bailed on a couple of Captains right? I mean, before they were Captains. Said you were supposed to go help them but bailed out like a bitch."
"To be fair back then I wasn't entirely happy with the concept of making the MLA stronger. Since there seemed to be a fairly good balance of power between you, the NCR and the Legion and my people were profiting off of that.

That has changed quite drastically and ideally I'd want that restored."

>Say, if you have an army of Robots, Warlord Niner will wanna hear about this!"
"Not just that we have a factory which can make more of them along with their different weapons plus shit for producing drugs, medicine and other stuff. Given time we could supply your people with more or less anything to even the odds against the NCR.

However we want to avoid us being in open conflict with them for now you understand. It'd be annoying as hell given we live on the surface and close to one of their air bases. They'd bomb the shit out of us and we do have a way of preventing that in the works but we need time."

>>1777221
"Sounds like a eldritch-god alright but you know worshipping such gods always comes at a cost. Not only to others but to yourself. Plus the NCR has super soldiers that are that strong and they aren't sacrificing immortal souls and shit to gods. At least not that I know of...

Also don't bad mouth those Shaman gods. They are powerful in their own right and don't ask such high prices. Not to mention that they often do freebies."

Well too bad it was discussed and a fair few of us were in favour of it. Especially since the NCR started really kicking ass.

Anyhow what do you suggest? How do you want to deal with this? We can't exactly afford to get into a war with the MLA in the Divide since we want to get this shit done and so we can get harvesting / industrialising.
>>
>>1777245
Yes it does, it tells them our reasons and goals, we don't have to tell them we're strengthening them to keep the war going.
>>1777244
I agree, Elder gods raping people is bad, plus it sounds like the MLA has more problems with the Midwestern BoS than the NCR, combine that with the fact that the Midwestern will probably go to war with the NCR due to mutants it sounds like the Midwestern will pound the NCR back.
>>
>>1777249
Destroy the MLA, let the Midwestern and NCR duke it out while we expand.

>>
>>1777269
I'm temped, but let's think about how to get out of this situation some more.
>>
>>1777244
>Gonna be honest, i think we should kill the MLA before the NCR right now.
The MLA is losing and is pressed between two empires. They ain't gonna last forever even if we help. The NCR however is a massive sprawling superstate that is fighting a two front war and winning. While expanding massively.

>All this buisness with gods and sacrifices has the potebtial to grow out of hand pretty quickly.
It takes 100 sacrifices to make a strong human as strong as him and he is still not as strong as a supermutant. To be frank that is a massive amount of slaves to make one guy fairly powerful. Especially since he can still be killed fairly easily and if not then we probably can't afford to make a enemy of them.

>>1777253
>Yes it does, it tells them our reasons and goals, we don't have to tell them we're strengthening them to keep the war going.
Oh that is your problem. That is quite fair I suppose that is unnecessary and could be removed.

>>1777254
>Destroy the MLA, let the Midwestern and NCR duke it out while we expand.
Trust me we don't have the resources to fight the MLA and expand reasonably effectively. Plus with them on side we can expand into the Utah area without risking war with them and we can get better deals and shit on slaves and stuff.

>>1777257
>They don't exactly share a land border with the divide, so once their main source of profit is dealt with, which they have been, they would have no reason to stay. They also have no troops here, just gun runners
Their main reason for being here was to secure an additional route to attack the NCR. The Marked men were an additional bonus.

>>1777269
And I wouldn't.

>>1777273
This guy can get us a meeting with Niner and the other leaders of the MLA. Hundreds of slaves, tonnes of metal and anything else we want are available to us if we supply them with drugs, guns, vehicle components / weapons and it will get us more time to expand / think things through before the NCR steamrolls through them.

Even if you don't want to deal with the MLA, killing him is a waste when we could kill their leaders or something. Hell even meeting them would be worth something just to get a feeling for how many different groups there are in the MLA and more importantly how happy they are with the current elder god influence and shit.
>>
>>1777283
>Trust me we don't have the resources to fight the MLA and expand reasonably effectively.

You have a point about meeting them to gauge their strength but i don't trust you to not ally with them.
>>
>>1777286

>Why the fuck are you divulging so much information?
Since most of it is shit they'd already know and in the case of others is shit that makes our position seem stronger.

True but they are a far more useful pawn in regards to fighting the NCR, slaves and other such things.
>>
>>1777296

Only the traders, they have yet to establish a military presence here.
>You are worried about their deals with a elder god yet you want to fight them here? When they've got the numbers, got the experience, got the quality, know their tunnels and in many other ways are going to be stronger?
We don't even know how many are here, Their only strength is the tunnel system which we can take over if we research and build some subterranean combat bots.

By in large fuck the MLA. We should extirminate all their fighters, they are not even worth debraining, for now though trade for slaves and other stuff that we can spin as humanitarian
>>
>>1777300
>Well we tell them its our turf and they can fuck off.
Assuming they are willing if not then we have a fight on our hands which we can't afford.

>Also the divide is a terrible place for humans to stage raiding from- the storms would be doing a lot of damage.
The storms only happen on occasion, they rely on tunnels for movement, have dark magic that could probably make them stop and start as they want. Plus that is a part of the reason as to why they want to raid from here: the NCR would struggle to follow.

>As for helping the MLA i am not sure they are not involved with the coming evil that the hubologists are talking about.
They most certainly are.

>If they are, best to put them down so we don't have to deal with more supernatural bullshit than we need to.
True but that wouldn't prevent the Dark god's arrival. OP's description of the event suggests that they are merely symptom, not the disease so to speak.
>>
Don't forget to vote for dialogue, brb

That you know of and I'd point out that they not only have the witch that just wiped out the entire population of Marked men here in a matter of minutes but whatever guards they brought with their traders.

Plus those traders are probably combat capable as well.

>We don't even know how many are here, Their only strength is the tunnel system which we can take over if we research and build some subterranean combat bots.
Which is lovely but you are suggesting immediate violence against them. So your plan can't rely on something we need to design and build. Even then I'd point out that their strength is more than just a tunnel system. If that were the case the NCR would've rolled over them without problem even without tanks.
>>
>>1777307
We don't know anything about their forces here in the Divide, you can't claim we can't afford to fight them here.
>>
>>1777302
I've seen how shitty useful pawns plans worked out. The only thing I'm willing to consider is trading horrible drugs to them for resources and slaves.

In fact from what I see they are becoming the biggest threat against the entire world. They are literally trying to bring forth another apocalypse. I'd rather ally with NCR against them rather than trying to enact poorly thought out plans to weaken NCR
>>
>>1777303
Fuck missed that bit.

>Same problem with how the Chinese would have rebelled had we accepted Cryptos offer, allying with bad people is bad.
Except that their reason for that was that we'd be selling out one of our own to him. So they'd be worried they are gonna get sold out and shit.

Plus the ethics of it are solid: the NCR and the MLA are two groups that the Chinese would dislike (remember how they reacted to our description of the NCR: they don't like them) so they can understand helping them bleed each other while making ourselves stronger and getting into a position to destroy them and take control.
>>
>>1777313

>We should exterminate all their fighters, they are not even worth de-braining,
That may be the case but some of them should be good quality and worth taking alive for de-braining. Still I agree that their death should come as soon as feasible and cost-effective.

>for now though trade for slaves and other stuff that we can spin as humanitarian
The MLA will be killed in the end but for now they serve as a ethically questionable source of needed manpower, materials and military force to slow the NCR's growth while we use what they give us to grow.

>Assuming they are willing if not then we have a fight on our hands which we can't afford

Then we get help from NCR. Ally with them if need be and fight together to defeat a literal evil god.
I don't care about your excessive vendetta and paranoia against NCR. They might not be the paragons of virtue and stereotypical goody two shoes but they are the best that comes near and our ideologies closely align.
>>
>>1777315
>We don't know anything about their forces here in the Divide, you can't claim we can't afford to fight them here.
And the same applies to you, except I can point to the presence of the witch that just killed the marked men, this man and his abilities to suggest that a fight here could be a fucking terrible idea. Not to mention it being entirely avoidable.
>>
>>1777313
>Which is lovely but you are suggesting immediate violence against them. So your plan can't rely on something we need to design and build.
No i'm not, i'm tempted but i ain't voting for it. And i said we design the Subterranean robots just in case they refuse to leave (And so we can begin our own subterranean activity)
>Even then I'd point out that their strength is more than just a tunnel system. If that were the case the NCR would've rolled over them without problem even without tanks.
Mate i specifically recall a NCR soldier/officer saying they can't push back the MLA cause they are entrenched in a tunnel system.
>>
>>1777298
I recommend supporting this dialouge, it's the only good one.
>>
>>1777324
Nigga, it is obvious that MLA will die out. Their evil god is going to consume them when it finally awakens. But by that time it might be too late for that.

We should consider getting a three way alliance with the mid west BoS and NCR
>>
>>1777328
>this man and his abilities to suggest that a fight here could be a fucking terrible idea.
You mean the guy who's still not as strong as a super mutant despite sacrificing 100 people? Oh ya he's definitely gonna stop us.
>>
>>1777324
The vast majority of them are druggies and there is no telling what lingering effects psychic corruption will have on a brain.

We need high quality brains, we cannot use the brains from druggies hence why we raided Legion lands for brains earlier
>>
>>1777334
I recommend not allying with anyone and just using the metal from the Divide to build our army and some power plants.
>>
>>1777328
They sold their souls. Obviously they were at her mercy the moment they did that..
>>
>>1777316
>I've seen how shitty useful pawns plans worked out.
You mean as expected?

>The only thing I'm willing to consider is trading horrible drugs to them for resources and slaves.
That is dumb as hell. You trade them good drugs or else they won't pay well or buy at all which means not only are you stuck with useless product but little profit to then get slaves / material with.

>In fact from what I see they are becoming the biggest threat against the entire world.
Not really. They are getting beaten by the NCR and the BOS.

>They are literally trying to bring forth another apocalypse.
Actually that'd only be the witches and the god. Most of them are just in it for the strength and shit.

>I'd rather ally with NCR against them rather than trying to enact poorly thought out plans to weaken NCR
And I'd rather "ally" with the MLA than try and survive next to the highly militarised fascist state next to us who have invaded our airspace and stolen technology. Especially since I know that we can beat the shit out of the MLA given a few more years which I doubt we can do compared to the NCR.
>>
>>1777341
Forgot rest of post.
Just let the NCR and Midwestern duke it out and deal with the Eldar god while we build up.
>>
>>1777321
>So a small force we could easily beat?
You are underestimating them.

>You have a point about the Witch but she's leaving, he says so right here >>1777063
That is him saying they stopped giving them ammo and shit and just sacrificed them. Nowhere does he say that she has left.

Nice to see you there Neville Chamberlain.

>We cannot let the MLA know much of our robots
Not like it'd help them in any way.

>we should hire out our troops to the NCR again soon
Nope. They are making too much progress already in my opinion.

>we need resources and to crush the MLA
We can get resources from the Divide and from trade with the MLA. Also I disagree with your compulsion to destroy a useful pawn.
>>
>>1777354
Beter the devil you know than the devil you dont.

Plus we can get a huge headstart on a space race with the NCR and as they are a highly industrialised nation, we should be able to eliminate their means of production from orbit.

>Not like it'd help them in any way.
I beg to differ, remember the battle for the Flooded City. Also makes all future mercenary work against them impossible

>We can get resources from the Divide and from trade with the MLA. Also, I disagree with your compulsion to destroy a useful pawn.
They are now going to be controlled by us, elder god is coming and I would rather salt the earth where they stayed than let him arrive

We're forgetting Elijah still exists and his expanding cloud will completely negate the NCR's tanks.
Also QM i recall you once mentioning there were similarities between the LAER and alien laser gun and that we should research the LAER to find out more, however i don't remember this connection ever coming up when we finished the research.
>>
>>1777323
I've tried looking and I can't find it. I know it was a fairly early thread however since I remember it happened around the time we met them but I could be wrong.
>>

>We have to manage more people than just the Chinese.
I know but that was the point raised.

>Most of the regular folk are neutral or better with the NCR
Actually most are neutral or worse after we did some propaganda I am fairly sure.

>the followers are super against the MLA.
They are however in favour of freeing slaves and don't exactly have anywhere better to go.
>>
>>1777327
>Then we get help from NCR. Ally with them if need be and fight together to defeat a literal evil god.
Or we could not do that and avoid having to help the Nazi's wipe out dozens of cultures while getting stronger.

>I don't care about your excessive vendetta and paranoia against NCR.
I have little vendetta against the NCR beyond what they have caused and I am not paranoid.

>They might not be the paragons of virtue and stereotypical goody two shoes but they are the best that comes near and our ideologies closely align.
Aye but that is no reason to help them seeing as that just makes them competition and they continue to grow stronger.
>>
>>1777354
We know about your irrational hate boner for NCR.
I hope more people realize this and stop taking you seriously.

Stop thinking you're some kind of a Machiavellian mastermind.
They are not a useful pawn. They are extremely dangerous entity which needs to be destroyed before they fuck everyone up.
We tried to use fiends like useful disposable pawns before and now we're dealing with the fallout of this.

I honestly want to call NCR and tell them we want an alliance just so that even a fracture of your horrible plans don't get used because I see everything spiraling out of control after that.
>>
>>1777329
>No i'm not, i'm tempted but i ain't voting for it. And i said we design the Subterranean robots just in case they refuse to leave (And so we can begin our own subterranean activity)
Oh that is fair enough. You confused me.

>Mate i specifically recall a NCR soldier/officer saying they can't push back the MLA cause they are entrenched in a tunnel system.
No that was them saying they can't beat them since they have tunnels they can retreat to when they call in air support.

I'd point out that in our fights against the MLA, they've proven a fairly competent foe.
>>
>>1777376
That may have been before you were able to appropriately replicate alien guns, but now that you effectiely can reproduce them the similarities have outgrown their usefulness.
>>
>>1777392
>Or we could not do that and avoid having to help the Nazi's wipe out dozens of cultures while getting stronger.
The MLA is also helping wipe out dozens of cultures.
>>
>>1777334
>Their evil god is going to consume them when it finally awakens.
That is a massive assumption on your part.

>But by that time it might be too late for that.
For what? Beating them? If it bleeds we can kill it and if not then we were fucked anyway since the MLA aren't causing it to wake up.

>We should consider getting a three way alliance with the mid west BoS and NCR
We really shouldn't.
>>
>>1777393
>We know about your irrational hate boner for NCR.
To be fair i also have a irrational hate boner for NCR, but also for the Legion and MLA.

Its a bit ironic but, although the fiends took their sweet time, they are fullfilling your original goal of "fight the NCR".

This 'fallout' has resulted in a 2nd contender against the NCR.

That might actually be considered one of the successes of the Mojave plan?
>>
>>1777338
>The vast majority of them are druggies and there is no telling what lingering effects psychic corruption will have on a brain.
True on both accounts but that doesn't mean we can't take advantage of that minority worth harvesting which is what I was addressing specifically.

>We need high quality brains, we cannot use the brains from druggies hence why we raided Legion lands for brains earlier
Yep.
>>
>>1777342
And you have no way of knowing that she isn't so much more powerful now or something that she could wipe out our force.

We know too little about elder magic and shit to make assumptions about how she did what she did and shit.

OP already shot that down trust me. We can't make rocket engines apparently. At least that will work in space.

How does it? The NCR could've stolen our designs or we traded them for something else or even something as simple as it being a thing we got from them and improved.

Irrational implies I don't have good solid reasons. That I just look at them and for no reason want them destroyed. That is false.

And yet I don't feel that way about you.

>Stop thinking you're some kind of a Machiavellian mastermind.
Never claimed to be.

>They are not a useful pawn.
They are quite a useful pawn.

>They are extremely dangerous entity which needs to be destroyed before they fuck everyone up.
They are a dangerous entity which is going to be destroyed either way but by supplying them with weapons and shit we can make them a more costly grave for the NCR and all the while get useful resources and population.

>We tried to use fiends like useful disposable pawns before and now we're dealing with the fallout of this.
No, we're dealing with the Fallout of 2 1's in a row without any boons, deciding not to take Niner and his girls and so many other decisions by people like you. Hell you could've even tried to eliminate the Fiends, but you didn't.

>I honestly want to call NCR and tell them we want an alliance just so that even a fracture of your horrible plans don't get used because I see everything spiraling out of control after that.
And I fail to see how that would stop almost any of my plans. Seeing as most of them are to be performed with the intent of the NCR never knowing and thus us maintaining our relations.
>>
>>1777400
True but the fact is that their efforts to expand have stalled and they have began losing ground so no more cultures are under threat from them and in fact theirs are under immediate threat which we can alleviate until we are strong enough to step in and eliminate the ones we consider unacceptable.
>>
Gonna have lunch, I am ready for a new turn unless you intend to negotiate more.
>>
>>1777437
You do realize that we are not the ones in control of the MLA right? The Old Ones are running the show and having turned many followers into supers seems like a good way to gain the favour of people. Not to mention them being able to kill those that displease them. This all leads to a good hold on the populace. Meanwhile, we are a random trading partner who allows the MLA access to the Divide in our back yard, hoping they dont decide that NW is a great place to loot.

We simply dont have a good enough plan at this state to justify being buddy buddy with them. The NCR is predictable in that regard. Make the new opioid and start spreading that. Once we have a hold on the people of the MLA we can see about exerting control. Until then, tell them nothing and keep them out of our territory. Especially the Divide. I mean common, theres nukes.
>>
>>1777445
I have a two questions for them:

1) Do they steal NCR money during their raids and can we trade that for bottle caps at a 1:1 ratio, seeing as they can't really make use of it.

2) How much would they pay for a hit of Jet? (Compared to the price of a slave so we can work out the "profitability" of the MLA trade idea)

You decide to prove your own point and smash your adamantium backed fist into a wall. You weren't operating on 100% strength and in need of a good rest, but you clearly outdo him as shards of rock and stone fly in every direction, and a dust plume covers the both of you. A crack forms from the floor of the tunnel to the ceiling. The mark you leave behind puts the fist sized indent crater made by Vincent to shame.

>Vincent Vincent
"Well shit, seems I still got a ways to go before I get to be like you.

They are not getting a corridor through us to attack the NCR.

>>1777479
yeah no, fuck that. If they want the Divide, they will have to go through us. I'm all for waging war with them.
I say to move things along. Now that the Marked Men are gone, we can stripmine the Divide. By the time MLA start acting up, we will deal with them.
>>
>>1777481
Yeah, letting them operate out of the divide tells the NCR we're either hostile or incompetent. Both invite annexation.

Lets just arrange a meeting to get the MLA out of our territory.
>>
>>1777478

Fuck when we do win if it isn't a lottery of good bits and parts."

>Ask him what their plans are against the Legion.
"We leave em alone, they leave us alone. They're always going on and on about wiping out degenerates and heathens like us, but I ain't fought a Legionaire yet. Guess Caesars more worried about the NCR."

>Did he tell us who the Witch is? Is she the only one with that title?
"There's many cultists out there, and a couple of witches. There's supposed to be more somewhere else plus a prophet but those guys are shadier than darkness itself. Damn good advice though, Niner gives ear to one called Calypso.

I think he gives her a bit more than ear though, if you ask me. Fuck but those cultists are some amazing lays."
>>
>>1777497
Great. Well arrange a meeting with Niner. I want the MLA out of the divide as soon as possible.
>>
>>1777486
>Lets just arrange a meeting to get the MLA out of our territory.

Something tells me that they will refuse to do that. But might buy us some time to build up forces.

We need robot army in thousands. We should really focus all of our energy to build it up instead of going all over the place.
We know that we lack enough officer type of robots. TACT was developed before we had ZAX. We need to develop a non-brained officer type AI. Scan all the brains of our officers and the general to build new AI. Develop a mobile platform which can support such AI (I suppose an upgrade for TACT).
We also need to organize our army into platoons.

One platoon could look something like this
3 squads of Hazard LAER Securitons
2 squad Heavy bastions
1 squad of repair and eye bots
1 TACT to command them and provide artillery

How does this sound? OP, what does MAJOR think of this arrangement? Is it efficient?
>>
>>1777508
>We need robot army in thousands. We should really focus all of our energy to build it up instead of going all over the place.
What we really should do is get resources, we have the manpower thanks to our factories but we can't use them constantly, the Divide will provide those needed resources but is finite. What we need to do is use the Divide metal to build powerplants which generate Fissile material we can convert to metal.
>>
>>1777508
>MAJOR
"Excellent plan. We could organize into Platoons and then even entire Companies with tactical flexibility."
>>
>>1777505
No, no no

Under no circumstances should we go to his Palace. If they want to talk, we find a neutral ground.

just read this
>Damn good advice though, Niner gives ear to one called Calypso.

They have prophetic help and he will know beforehand how we will want the talks to go. He might just set up a trap and try to kill us.

It's amazing how the players shat all over our prophetic help because of a vague vision given us BY AN EVIL ENTITY. We really need to improve our relationship with the forcaster and allow Sam to hang out with him.
>>
>>1777508
This seems like a heavy squad what with all the Hazard robots.
>>
>>1777515
W already have allowed Sam to hang out with the Forcecaster again.
>>
>>1777518
Did that vote go through? In any case she's still with the Chinese atm
>>
>>1777514
what about this part

>We know that we lack enough officer type of robots. TACT was developed before we had ZAX. We need to develop a non-brained officer type AI. Scan all the brains of our officers and the general to build new AI. Develop a mobile platform which can support such AI (I suppose an upgrade for TACT).

Should we try this or is the current non-brained TACT good enough?

Also, I feel that Companies should be commanded by brained commander robots.

>>1777516
I really don't see any reason why we should use anything but heavy armored variants of our robots. If mobility becomes an issue, they can shed their armor in the field.

>>1777518
We did? I don't remember that.
>>
>>1777515
I realize that, but if we want unfettered access to the divide, the mla can't be there. We either talk with them or shoot at them.

I would say talk in third party territory but there are none that are neutral to both of us. Unless we want a secret rendevous in legion territory or something.
>>
>>1777519

>>
>>1777519

>>
>>1777522
>If mobility becomes an issue, they can shed their armor in the field.
Can they do that QM?
>>
We should also really begin teleporting some robots to New Vegas, at least to start a base in the Remnants Bunker.
>>
>>1777525
Maybe at the northern border of the divide.

But I am absolutely against going deep inside their territory and his palace.
>We either talk with them or shoot at them.
I really, really doubt they will just leave if we tell them so that's why I don't want to go to their palace.

>>1777513
Of course. But I feel uncomfortable with such a weak army. We should at least spend few actions to build LAER Securitons.

Speaking of this plan, did OP make clear if we can build nuclear reactor or not.
>>
>>1777537
Technically yes, at least regarding the Hazard bot dropping its extra Hazar armor, but the tactical applications of that are limited as they are still securitron size eitherway.

>>1777543
>did OP make clear if we can build nuclear reactor or not.
You'll need research.
>>
>>1777543
>Of course. But I feel uncomfortable with such a weak army. We should at least spend few actions to build LAER Securitons.
Eh, we can do both, although i believe our priority should be building more powerplants.

Hey QM, i recall you mentioning once that even though the Hover Dam is blown up it's turbines are still working, is this still true?
>>
>>1777446
>You do realize that we are not the ones in control of the MLA right?
I am entirely aware of this fact.

>The Old Ones are running the show and having turned many followers into supers seems like a good way to gain the favour of people.
True but so are guns, drugs and anti-tank weapons. Especially when trying to fight a tank in close range is a insane idea and the people are drug addicts.

>Not to mention them being able to kill those that displease them. This all leads to a good hold on the populace.
A fearful hold and we have little reason to believe they can just kill without something occurring first. Or the NCR wouldn't be a problem for their followers.

>Meanwhile, we are a random trading partner who allows the MLA access to the Divide in our back yard, hoping they dont decide that NW is a great place to loot.
Which they wouldn't if we are supplying them weapons / drugs and they know our armed forces could fuck theirs over. Also you assume that Niner and our deathclaw friend wouldn't provide a good protection from being a target thanks to our history with them.

>We simply dont have a good enough plan at this state to justify being buddy buddy with them.
We have a pretty good plan. Trade shit, get shit, get stronger, betray them or the NCR depending on who's on that night and who is weaker.

>The NCR is predictable in that regard.
Not really. We didn't predict them turning fascist. We didn't predict them being so advanced. We didn't even predict them having such success against the Legion. They have been less predictable than the MLA if anything.

>Make the new opioid and start spreading that. Once we have a hold on the people of the MLA we can see about exerting control.
That much we are in agreement over and we can debate the rest later.

>Until then, tell them nothing and keep them out of our territory. Especially the Divide. I mean common, there are nukes there.
Aye I suppose but we are going to be moving those nukes or taking over those places. They just want to be able to build a road out of here essentially so they can go fuck the NCR and I doubt they want to deal with the surface and it's general fuckery of nuclear sandstorms.
>>
>>1777548
Who would be best to task researching nuclear power- the Zax or the followers?
>>
>>1777559
You enjoy the benefit of a full research team, though each can work independently.

Also I'm going to start calcing the new turn.
>>
>>1777548
>You'll need research.
fug

>>1777550
There is always so much shit to do. We might want to try spend action to build enough construction bots to gain extra construction action.
>>
>>1777558
A road out of the divide that leads into the NCR tells the NCR we can't handle the divide, and they will intervene for national security purposes. If we want the divide, we need to keep the MLA out, so they don't bring the NCR in.
>>
>>1777559
ZAX just gets bonus to robotics research but otherwise they both should be the same.

>>1777567
Essentially this.
>>
He QM, can we use the Military action to slavage Divide metal?
>>
>>1777578
Nope. You can use it to perform junk repairs though or make junk bots.
>>
>>1777564
>>1777578
Also, is our railroad to the Divide finished?
>>
>>1777583
>>1777565
Alright, how about we share the construction action? 1 turn Solar farm, next turn construction robots, next turn Solar farm and so on?
Our Civ action will be used to Salvage Divide metal.
>>
>>1777584
About a quarter of the way there, with only Jacob Miles his robots and construction vehicles working on it.

Much faster than any NCR Chain gang at least.
>>
>>1777481
We will see but I want to avoid war for now and focus on industry and construction robots rather than going from one fight to another. Especially since we now have enough resources to consider some of our expansion plans.

>>1777486
>Yeah, letting them operate out of the divide tells the NCR we're either hostile or incompetent. Both invite annexation.
That assumes the NCR knows we own the Divide rather than just claiming it. If they ask we are fighting the MLA.

>Lets just arrange a meeting to get the MLA out of our territory.
That seems like a decent compromise for now. We can possibly allow them to tunnel out from under here and pretend they don't exist / we don't know about them but no tunnels out of the Divide directly at least.

>>1777522
I don't understand what your problem with the TACT platform is and why you want to replace it. We can get more good quality brains from the Legion since we can expand into them / raid them if we get a Utah colony up and running.

Except that they can't realistically follow the MLA into the Divide and it's storms. Even then I don't intend for them to be exiting directly from it, rather I expect them to dig tunnels further out from the Divide, into the NCR's lands and then exit through those.

Still so long as we are getting the slaves / materials for weapons / drugs and shit trade I am fine.

Next turn we research the nuclear reactors, and continue train building then we build more robots, then we build a nuke reactor.

Railroad tracks to the Divide are built! About a quarter of the way there. They're going to pass by Shoshone and China Ranch Outpost.

The Train has been completed as well, including the massive Alien Battery to power it.

A squad of super advanced Hazmat Cleanup Bots are built, and fissile material and steel have been spent.

A quad of heavy mortar/light howitzer TACTS are built.

ALERT!
Scrap Metal has been exhausted from our numerous projects. Fissile Material is low.

No Marked Men seem to be attacking in the Divide anymore.

What power plant are you on about then? Cause if it's solar you should focus more on RnDing better ones.
>>
>>1777619
Well, actually, an interesting point about a Breeder reactor was brought up.

It "generates more fissile material than it uses". What that means actually is you can put some fissile material, some low grade non-fissile fuels, and then a process happens by which power is extracted and whats left is fissile material which can be reused in the next process.

This is probably why there was so much of it you found as well as common nuclear waste near BigMT's reactor.
>>
>>1777628
I dunno, whichever gives us Fissile generation.
QM, how do we begin generating fissile material again?
>>
>>1777625
More power wouldn't help us build the train tracks. And once it's done we're going to be getting lots of resources out of the divide.
>>
>>1777619
And back to the argument we go.

>Get reactor
>Get lots of power
>Use power to make rocks/metal/whatever else into fissile materials/nuclear fuel
>repeat process
>????
>profit

Now, admittedly, we do need to figure out a way to make the reactor and the replicator efficient enough to make it as profitable as it needs to be but the power output would be phenominal. Well in excess of whatever Hoover or Helios I could ever provide.
>>
>>1777630
I.. righto then.
>>
>>1777633
Yes it fucking would, with power we can make Fissile materials to convert into metal.
>>
>>1777631
The only current way to actually create new stuff is to finish the universal reactor or to find high grade nuclear waste to process into fissile material though the first has a higher theoretical yield (if you can sustain the power)
>>
>>1777636
Choo-choo! Nuclear we gooooo!

So, fellow anons. All the nuclear reactors we need, right beneath the mountain and protected by the best security and the densest, biggest walls we can build. Power the desert with pop-up LAER turrets and watch as our power/national security concerns are melted away in brilliant light. Use the leftover power to turn rocks into metals and print robots ad infinitum. Also, the ZAX CEO said he could improve the efficiency of the replicator, as QM hinted some time ago.

>>
>>1777642
Finish the first and use it in batches to make it. When we have it and the reactor going we basically win if we have enough time. Get the ZAX on it and figure out a way to make the replicator process more efficient. Traintracks first into Divide materials into replicator into reactor.

Chapter I - Preparing the people for the "end of hard labour".
Goal: Education must be advanced to its fullest.

[ ] - Secure Brain storage facility should be built with naught but the highest standards.
[ ] - Most people should be debrained, or at least, anyone who wishes to remain competitive/productive. This may naturally happen as people see the merits of debrainification
[ ] - The neurological sciences should be advanced. Work with the Brains on developing and understanding models of human brain interface. How to improve intelligence via augmentation more reliably, applying individual learning styles based on brain knowledge, understanding how to improve memory and learning adaptation. Everyone can be tailor made to learn.
[ ] - Schooling and Education systems should be advanced on several front: VR classes especially, with more advanced simulation computers
[ ] - The acceptance that not everyone may be capable of intelligent work, and that some people may not wish to work at all. How to handle this will be addressed in Chapter II with proposed economic models.

I thought that'd changed thanks to the ZAX but I could be wrong.

Anyway, it was originally going to be a robotics research into making a better, purpose built, farming / agricultural robot.

Currently we make use of modified Mr handy's and I feel that with minimal investment and effort we could almost certainly make a far better design. Capable of far greater work during the same period and possibly even additional uses in places like forestry and such.

We could change it back to that and then the problem solves itself.

>Brain
"We currently don't have a labour deficit when it comes to the farms. Our limitations are still water based."

I know but I want to expand into Utah and such and I thus feel a better design will be useful long term. Plus if we can make each robot more efficient we need less of them and can thus spare a small amount of metal and power for other uses.

Also the potential for them to be used in things like forestry they'll be useful for colonising Utah since there are forests we will need to clear for our settlements.

Why are you still going on about utah when we havent locked down the Divide yet? First priority is to secure that, upgrade our replicator tech and start on the nuclear reactor to solve both our near- and long-term resource needs. When we have done all we can here, THEN we do a concentrated expansion into Utah and lock down large areas of land at once. Since, by then, our limiting factor is want, not need of metal/power/fissile. Dont spread out, focus and consolidate.

>Why are you still going on about utah when we havent locked down the Divide yet?
Ignoring the potential for the MLA to attack, the Divide is as secure as we are ever going to reasonably make it.

>First priority is to secure that, upgrade our replicator tech and start on the nuclear reactor to solve both our near- and long-term resource needs.
As I have stated repeatedly and even given evidence of, I doubt that a nuclear reactor is going to solve our problems ignoring the potential of Breeder reactors but they are expensive to produce for us thanks to their high initial fissile costs however based off of what OP stated about them being usable to turn shit into fissile materials, it might be possible but I'd suggest you don't make this the centrepiece of your plans.

As to our replicator tech, it's upgraded already and all we need to do is construct the universal replicator.

>When we have done all we can here, THEN we do a concentrated expansion into Utah and lock down large areas of land at once.
True but my goal isn't to do that.

>Since, by then, our limiting factor is want, not need of metal/power/fissile.
Not really, even with truly insane power production we would struggle to function off of replicators alone. So I doubt that we will reach what you are suggesting easily or any time soon.

>Dont spread out, focus and consolidate.
Of course we should spread out. Spreading out like this allows for the expansion of our farms, herds and population far more quickly than any other method thus far suggested or known.

>Secure as much territory as possible
Much territory is gained well overnight. Entire swaths of regions seem to have been cleared out and already a quarter of the city is in your possession.

However, your forces clearly come upon the banners of another.

A flag seen by Riddick and Hazel before.

The banner of the MLA. They have begun operations

It doesn't fly high above the towers or flutter in the breeze, but marks underground outpost locations, tunnel networks and bunkers, while Supermutant and Ghoul patrols walk them now, and a handful of Marked Men who seem to have joined the MLA.

Their above ground military presence is far less than the Marked Men and it seems they aren't trying to actively hold the above ground so fiercly.

Your forward scouts haven't been spotted yet.

>What do?

Mother fuckers can't leave our shit alone.

Alright anons here are some options.

1. Fight the MLA
We weaken them they weaken us. NCR could help us or just stab us in the back.

It's not our shit to be fair.

>Our people don't like, NCR don't like it, MLA weaken NCR, NCR stab us in the back for being natural to the MLA
I think you are misrepresenting the option but still that is the best one. Our people can be convinced, the NCR doesn't know or need to know, the MLA weakening the NCR is good and the NCR isn't exactly going to stab us in the back for not going out of our way to fight the people who have a massive military advantage over us.

Also who was the dumb fuck who thought we could just attack them and they'd be defeated easily? Look at this shit, what did I tell you? They had fucking military and shit set up. We'd have had our asses handed to us.

>>1778253
They've had as long as the Marked Men have been trading with them. So a fair bit of time. Plus they'll have claimed the Marked Men's defences. Given a few turns we might be in a good position to attack them but right now we need to focus on salvaging as much as fast as we can.

Tell them they may not be aware, but they are operating in land claimed by the Phoenix. Request a meeting with Niner.

If they tell us to fuck off, then start shooting.
>>
>>1778275
I'm fairly confident that Niner won't give the Tunnels to us.
>>
>>1778254
That could work.

Personally I'd just harvest everything around them, telling them to stand back and shit where appropriate using our large and scary TACTs. If they complain point out we've been pushing the Marked Men out and we're in negotiations with their leaders but as of this moment in time the surface is ours. If they continue to resist, non-lethal then lethal weapons.

A good show of force could convince them to not raise an issue. Say having the Chinese move one of their tanks through followed by our Securitrons dragging as much scrap as each of the robots and the tank reasonably can (to our outpost to be taken by the train to our town for processing).

>>
>>1778344
No that'll just lead directly to a war.

Let's just ask them to not hassle us while we make a threatening appearance with our tanks, TACTs and other robots and ask them to get us a meeting with their leaders AKA Niner. By the time we have either gotten a deal or gotten back from talking to him, our robots should have been able to make off with a large portion of the metal in the city if not all of it.

If however they try anything, open fire.

You walk up to a large supermutant among others. They seem much more well armed than the Marked Men, with bigger armor and holding a modified minigun.

At first they waved at you, as if they were expecting you, but then you spoke.

>You
[Get the fuck our of our shit, or Ill shoot you]

His expression immediately changes.

>Mutant
"What the fuck did you just say to me?

Captain Vincent said you were on our side against the NCR.

Our orders are to leave you alone and let you do whatever it is you want with the above ground. But we got a job to do down here. You want us to move, take it up with the boss. We got orders."
>>
>>1778385
I am completely fine with shooting him.
>>
>>1778385
>Get the boss out here?

3 PEOPLE VOTED TO TALK TO FUCKING NINER GOD DAMN IT.
>>
>>1778385
Get the boss out here then.
>>
>>1778385
Get the boss, I want to see the orders.
>>
>>1778385
Those seem like acceptable terms to me.

They ain't gonna mess with the shit we want to get from here and honestly it benefits us to have them here, dealing with the Tunnellers and other wild life so we can harvest the metal more quickly.

Seriously, it's not like we can't betray them later if that is your problem with this deal but for now this is all we need.
>>
>>1778385
>Our orders are to leave you alone and let you do whatever it is you want with the above ground.
"Great, you already understand, now never talk to me in that tone again or i'll bathe you in so many robots and lasers you will look like a overcook slab of meat squashed on the pavement."
>>
>>1778402
You can still talk to niner, however it was how you approached them that wasn't clear until three people voted for it.

>>1778417
"We eat robots for breakfast back north. Batteries and all"

>>1778402
>>1778409
>>1778414
>Mutant
"Hah! You think Warlord Niner's all the way out here?

No, you're going to have to go see him. He a hundred miles away from here."
>>
>>1778432
Oh fuck it, just get the scrap metal and to get them to send a runner to Niner about us being here and getting our land.
>>
>>1778416
It really isn't. Basing NCR enemies in our territory as they attack the NCR is going to bring trouble on our heads.
>>
>>1778432
>"We eat robots for breakfast back north. Batteries and all"
"I said bathe not snack, i'll throw to you so many robots your stomach will burst open and your guts will spill all over, and then i'll use those guts to make new curtains for my house."
>>
>>1778451
Will you stop being an edgy fucking faggot?
>>
>>1778463
Nah, i'm having fun.
>>
>>1778385
>>1778432
>>1778451
Alternatively, we could just kill him with our bare hands.

>>1778385
>"What the fuck did you just say to me?

>>1778463
I honestly thought the Mutant was going to go into a spiel on how badass he was when he said that.
>>
>>1778476
Aw shit and i was just thinking of doing a Courier version of that Copy-pasta after the mutant replies, guess he was one step ahead of me.
>>
>>1778447
This.

>>1778449
See you are confusing not getting ourselves killed for the NCR by fighting the MLA with helping their enemies when in fact all we are doing is not helping the NCR or the MLA, taking a entirely passive route. If they ask we never encountered them and have simply been salvaging a seemingly abandoned district of the city as well as the outskirts.

Seriously, it's a shit idea to start yet another war here when we spent so many resources ending the last one. Especially against a force not only stronger, more numerous, more well equipped, more well trained but also one who can in theory launch offensives against us.

>>1778451
Ignore this dumb shit from a edgy cunt.

>>1778476
>Alternatively, we could just kill him with our bare hands.
That is a terrible idea and accomplishes nothing besides starting an avoidable war.
>>
>>1777393
You want to ally with the NCR, who is expanding while WINNING a two front war and who is controlled by Crypto...

Yeah, that's not a good idea.

We should use the Divide to bolster our forces, meet with Niner and arrange some sort of agreement and then help the Legion by supplying them with some lower grade weapons.
>>
>>1778515
>Ignore this dumb shit from a edgy cunt.
>Being this mad.
>>
>>1778482
I think killing this mutant might get us respect and give us raider authority. Send a message - lead your peoplr of MY land, or i kill you until someone does.
>>
>>1778525
Nah i don't want to go to war against them yet.
>>
>>1778522
I rank dark elder god as higher priorty than alien backed fascists. So i prefer killing the MLA then the NCR
>>
>>1778525
Ill support this.

>>1778525
>>1778564
Are.. are you both idiots?
>>
>>1778523
I honestly couldn't give a damn I just don't want you screwing us all over.

>>1778525
Or it starts a war. Seeing as they are already going to leave us alone you are taking a unneeded risk for little if any reward.

>>1778570
It's 4chan what do you expect. These are the same people that tried to kill Elijah after we managed to ally him.
>>
>>1778570
I Hate the Mla. Add the fact that they are in our territory, getting ready to attack the NCR, from OUR territory no less, will piss of the NCR and bring them to our doorstep as well.

So in short.

Fuck these guys.
>>
>>1778525
I support this

>>1778570
>>1778582
With different factions you use different tactics
>>
>>1778525
Nah. Let's ask the Mutant first to see if that's how the MLA works, then we might do that.
>>
>>1778594
That is some immensely retarded logic. We don't own the Divide, can claim to be fighting them (like hell the NCR is going to be able to tell in the Divide) and even if it did drag them to our "doorstep" (ignoring that the Divide is dozens of miles away) they'd struggle to really do much. They can't fight, live or in any way really move through the Divide so they'd struggle to do much more than build a few defences around the outside which wouldn't help given the MLA's tunnelling abilities.

>>1778598
And killing one of their people for no apparent reason (The fuck do you expect it to acomplish) is a "tactic"? And you all complain that I don't think my plans through.
>>
>>1778631
Maybe they can tell by their spy planes flying at the edge of our borders. Safe to assume if it's happening in the open, the NCR sees it.
>>
>>1778636
The Divide exists in a permanent dust storm so their aircraft would quickly get fucked in that unless they flew low. In which case the MLA would easily eliminate them.

The Divide really isn't in any way in the open and I would point out we plan on eliminating all of the NCR's spy planes.
>>
>>1778646
Also the MLA live / work underground so they'd see very little from the air besides our military outpost and our salvaging / military patrols which fit the narrative of us fighting the MLA in the Divide.
>>
>>1778631
That's your opinion, and your welcome to it. I'm standing by my "Fuck these guys."
>>
>>1778525
Yeah no...we're not doing this.

The MLA are raiders with some blood sacrifice cult, they're really not that bad - at least within the Fallout universe.

I don't understand your irrational hatred, you're like the other guy and the NCR.

We should aim to be strong and solitary, but for that to happen the MLA needs to keep the NCR occupied while we build up.

I say let them have the underground. Once we clear the topside of metal and fissile materials the Divide is basically useless to us anyway.
>>
Why don't we just leave them alone? No meeting Niner, no attacking the mutant, just leave.
>>
What been happening since I've been gone?
>>
>>1778690
They could get access to the nuclear weapons, which are in underground silos. Or military bases, with their secrets. There is more to the divide than just the surface, and I don't want the MLA getting their hands on them.
>>
>>1778716
Idiots want to drive us into a war with the MLA for no good reason but 'muh feelings'
>>
>>1778685
Yep but just saying my piece.

>>1778703
Because we want to get a basic deal with their leaders to trade generic drugs / weapons for slaves and metal. Also a promise of non-aggression so that we can expand without anywhere near as much worry into Utah and anywhere else near the MLA.

>>1778716
A bunch of things probably.

>>1778723
Then we deploy our spy / scout bots, find all those silos, harvest the shit we want and drag it to the surface / back to New Washington or something.
>>
>>1778716
I don't know i just want to build the Universal reactor already.
>>
>>1778723
Let's just occupy those locations now. If the MLA are there, let's just camp our forces out with them until we talk to Niner.
>>
>>1778759
>Because we want to get a basic deal with their leaders to trade generic drugs / weapons for slaves and metal. Also a promise of non-aggression so that we can expand without anywhere near as much worry into Utah and anywhere else near the MLA.
I don't want any of those things.
>>1778766
We aren't talking to Niner, heading into the MLA city for that is suicide.
>>
>>1778774
its... suicide to go meet Niner? Who the fuck is gonna get involed with somebody whoses to talk with the Warlord and actually knows him?
>>
>>1778794
>its... suicide to go meet Niner?
Yes, heading into a city full of Raiders to talk to a guy who is fucking a witch that can prophesize is suicide.
>>
>>1778794
He's fucking a dark priestess. She'd warn him if we try anything.

>>1778766
We don't know where they all are. We can't just occupy all those places
>>
>>1778812
Not really? If anything it'd make meeting him easier.

>>1778813
>if we try anything.
Well jeez anon, Maybe not try to pull another fucking Eljin and kill a guy we're wanting to talk too?
>>
>>1778774
>I don't want any of those things.
So you don't want to weaken the NCR, get more population and get more resources? Well then I must declare you insane.

>We aren't talking to Niner, heading into the MLA city for that is suicide.
The city is fine.

>>1778794
They think that he's gonna instantly know the future from his kinda girlfriend who is a follower of the elder god which is dumb as shit seeing as the only future seers we know can't do shit in regards to seeing the future precisely most of the time.

>>1778820
>Well jeez anon, Maybe not try to pull another fucking Eljin and kill a guy we're wanting to talk too?
But if they did that then how would they ever fuck themselves up the ass anon!
>>
>>1778827
They need drugs to see the future. Guess who has copious amounts of drugs.

Also it's mostly about how much shit we're going to get if the MLA operate from our territory.
>>
>>1778820
>Well jeez anon, Maybe not try to pull another fucking Eljin and kill a guy we're wanting to talk too?
That's not my plan, my plan is to build the Universal reactor then build a ton of Subterranean bots to kick the MLA out.
>>
>>1778839
>They need drugs to see the future. Guess who has copious amounts of drugs.
We burned a boon of drugs to get the forecaster to see the future clearly. If the MLA can afford to throw that away on something like this or can do it without such powerful rewards, making them our enemies is the biggest mistake we will ever make.

>Also it's mostly about how much shit we're going to get if the MLA operate from our territory.
As I have stated repeatedly to the point of it actually giving me a headache, this isn't an issue by any means.

>>1778840
His point is that you are making an enemy of someone we are currently at peace with and could even be allies with.
>>
>>1778856
>Be allies.
>With the MLA.
I'd rather support the anons who want to start the war right now than be allies.
>>
>>1778856
Of course it is. Do you think the NCR is just going to sit around while they are attacked from our territory? They would take control of the Divide because we aren't capable of sedcuring it.

The NCR respects our claim because it isn't causing any trouble. Once the MLA moves in, it's MLA territory in their eyes and fair game to be annexed.
>>
>>1778856
>>1778875
>>1778876
Nobody said anything about being allies with the MLA. We can just speak with niner and see what it would take within REASON to get them out. If they refuse to go, We will drive them out. Its rather simple.
>>
>>1778891
The problem is that i am uncomfortable with heading into the MLA city to meet Niner, it's too dangerous.
>>
>>1778891
I don't understand why Niner don't just use a radio so we can talk with him
>>
>>1778905
Yet we we've been deep inside MLA turf before, Been to New Vegas while the Legion was loading up and had there own priests and been to the NCR.

Do you see why that statement is stupid?

>>1778913
Do you want the radio to be intercepted by the NCR/legion about how we know and were friends with Niner and the Divide is pretty much cleared out?
>>
>>1778922
Or better yet send one of those robots that has the screens. We can talk through it.

If we're going to MLA city, we should get some slaves from the city. So we get some smart slaves to free, and they get some jet or something.
>>
>>1778875
>I'd rather support the anons who want to start the war right now than be allies.
I was just explaining his point and I'd also mention that it depends on your definition of allies.

Also, my main point and his main point is you and others are creating unneeded conflict.

>>1778876
>Of course it is. Do you think the NCR is just going to sit around while they are attacked from our territory?
Seeing as the MLA are almost certainly smart enough to not get chased back, yes. I'd point out we could ask them to avoid getting us involved / caught if we meet with Niner seeing as they've dug tunnels this far, so digging another dozen miles shouldn't be a problem.

>They would take control of the Divide because we aren't capable of securing it.
Like fuck they would. As powerful as the NCR are I doubt they are going to infringe on our sovereignty over this especially when they can't exactly fight in the Divide thanks to the storms and shit.

>>1778891
Honestly I am fine with them keeping the tunnels for now so long as we get any pre-war ruins and shit underground.

>>1778905
It's not anywhere near as dangerous as you seemingly think.

>>1778913
Probably don't have a good network to support the transmission for hundreds of miles.
>>
>>1778931
Nah, Sell like...Fixer? Don't feed into the addiction, present chances to get out.

Only other issue is if we do buy 'slaves' it'll only drive the desire for more slaves.

>>1778933
Same, I'm fine if they dig there own. We never agreed to anything but lane lines with the NCR. This is still a 'contested' area.
>>
>>1778922
>Yet we we've been deep inside MLA turf before
In disguise.
>Been to New Vegas while the Legion was loading up and had there own priests and been to the NCR.
Still in disguise and being tracked by the priests.
>>
>>1778938
okay irrational fear. Got ya boss, besides we might even get an escort super mutant or some shit. We're the Big C. we'll be fine.
>>
>>1778937
>Nah, Sell like...Fixer? Don't feed into the addiction, present chances to get out.
>Only other issue is if we do buy 'slaves' it'll only drive the desire for more slaves.

We don't like the MLA, but are willing to deal with them. Give them crippling Jet addiction while we get slave population.
The MLA will still get slaves no matter if we buy them or now. We're giving them a chance of a better life than under MLA rule.
>>
>>1778942
>Heading into a city filled with raiders to meet a raider boss who has a Witch that can prophesize that we will backstab them.
>Irrational fear.
>>
>>1778933
Tunnels can be followed, mapped from the surface, all sorts of things that can't be easily hid. I'd put money on the NCR tracing the MLA instead of a bunch of mutants with attitude problems being super subtle about raiding.

And It isn't our sovereignty if It's MLA territory, which it would be if we're currently fighting with them over it. Right of conquest means whoever has boots on the ground is owner.
>>
>>1778950
> we will backstab them
>we will
Why will we? Seriously, tell me also the future from what we've seen multiple times isn't as 'clear' as they say.

>>1778944
Fair enough, but I'm still not a fan of selling drugs to them. Fixer would still be of value to them cause an OD'ed raider isn't a useful one.
>>
>>1778959
>Why will we?
Are you suggesting we permanently ally with the MLA?
>>
>>1778966
Why the fuck do you think non-aggression = allies?
>>
>>1778959
Fixer cures addiction, but they would just get addicted again and they know it. They won't buy it.
>>
>>1778979
I literally just pointed out why they WOULD buy it. ODing Raiders aren't gonna be useful raiders. They can get coked out of there minds and then saved. Literal value for a society ran on drugs, booze and women.
>>
>>1778973
Why the fuck do you think the non-aggression will be permanent?
>>
>>1778989
Who the fuck said ANYTHING about permanent non-aggression pacts you god damn moron? You are implying we are gonna try to kill the leadership if we go to meet Niner, which is A BAD IDEA. We can however go and talk to them about the territorial dispute here. There is no need for violence at the moment and you keep pushing that there IS.
>>
>>1778988
>ODing Raiders aren't gonna be useful raiders. They can get coked out of there minds and then saved. Literal value for a society ran on drugs, booze and women.
Most anons don't want to help the MLA, and trading fixer with them is somehow helpful since it cure the addictions they have. More people just want them to become more depending on drugs, so they are less effective faction.
>>
>>1778999
>Who the fuck said ANYTHING about permanent non-aggression pacts you god damn moron?
You! >>1778959
>Why will we?
>>
>>1778951
>Tunnels can be followed, mapped from the surface, all sorts of things that can't be easily hid. I'd put money on the NCR tracing the MLA instead of a bunch of mutants with attitude problems being super subtle about raiding.
Tunnels can twist and turn so good luck following them. As to the MLA needing to be subtle: the NCR struggled to beat them previously because of their tunnels so I would expect them to either be good at hiding them or at destroying them.

>And It isn't our sovereignty if It's MLA territory, which it would be if we're currently fighting with them over it. Right of conquest means whoever has boots on the ground is owner.
And the NCR couldn't exactly come sweeping in like you suggest for the reasons I have already outlined. So I am going to stop arguing this point since it is a massive waste of time trying to convince you.

>>1779008
Mate that was in reference to you talking about us backstabing them, I.E during the fucking trip to their city.

The sight ain't fucking clear you numbskull. They won't know what we are going to do in three months let alone three years.
>>
>>1778988
Fixer doesn't cure OD, it cures addiction. It isn['t Naloxone. AN ODing raider on Fixer dies.
>>
>>1778959
>Why will we? Seriously, tell me also the future from what we've seen multiple times isn't as 'clear' as they say.
>>1779020
>The sight ain't fucking clear you numbskull. They won't know what we are going to do in three months let alone three years.
Plus it would depend on us having a set path for the Witch to predict, which we canonically change on a whim. So it changes all the time.
>>
>>1779008
Do you not understand anything? Seriously mate, You have been implying if we go into MLA land's right now we are gonna end up in a fight/captured/dead/ect. Which is completely wrong unless we go there PICKING a fight. I have stated we go there to talk to Niner about our territorial claims WITHOUT threatening him or anybody. So tell me where the fuck this somehow equals a PERMANENT non-aggression pact?

Get your fucking head out of your ass and stop jumping the fucking gun. Don't start a fight and we'll be fine.

>>1779006
Fair enough but I don't know how we'd be able to produce enough drugs to sell for slaves. Even moreso if the raiders for them haven't been working out. It'd be best to sell fixer and other stuff to clean them up abit and drag out that front awhile longer.

>>1779030
Ah, Wasn't there something that fixed that shit?
>>
