The Raiders – Part 27Standing for Schechei at the ceremony where Supreme Leader Dunzamn grants her the silver Sword that will be her boon companion above all others would be awkward if Kteine had not chosen Falna to serve the same purpose (or fate) at the same ceremony. With three other Silver Swords being granted, it is a situation that probably would not have been too terribly troublesome or stressful.Unfortunately, because this is just how your luck has been for the past 'week' or so, there is a very, very good chance that you will be announced as the bearer of a True Silver Sword. It is unlikely that you will be introduced as a Master Smith – despite the fact that Her Majesty has ordained you as one in a Dream or Nightmare sending (which you have decided was only possible if Vlaakith herself possessed the Elder Power that you possess). But the declaration of your possessing a True Silver Sword will be more than enough to shatter Falna's already tattered and bruised ego.Perhaps – just perhaps – you might not be giving her enough credit. But on the off chance that you are correct there are a number of things you may wish to do to protect yourself and others. Or, perhaps not. In either case, it won't be long after the ceremony that the Raids commence, and that is going to be an epic sort of thing to deal with. In any case, you're dressed for battle, bearing Siobhan, and your Cadre is also prepared for battle, clean, and looking particularly terrifying, both by numbers (seven is a very unusual number for a cadre that isn't lead by a knight with an ancient dragon at their beck and call) and by the fact that you will carry an unthinkable number of Silver Swords in addition to a True Silver Sword. Not to mention Yzia looks absolutely gorgeous as a silver-and-gold angel blooded aasimar at the moment, and is pretty much wearing nothing except her pride. Cast the longer running defensive spells in your repertoire. If it comes down to it you can quick-cast the most powerful self-empowerment and still be ready to cast more spells. You're certain that Falna won't betray Schechei a second time running. Let Falna know about Siobhan on the way there – confiding in her will ease the pain perhaps. It's not like Falna is the only threat – shore up your defenses and be ready for anything.Siobhan thinks Falna's ego is already broken – she's not going to try anything overt at all, much less in public.

>>1753490Unfortunately I don't think there's any way for Akko to get a True Silver Sword that wouldn't make her feel like shit! Certainly 'oh I made one' would be quite the hit to her self-esteem.

Schechei and Kteine flank Yashi, who is apparently armed only with that wicked sword you created for her, her potent staff magically combined into it. It occurs to you that it might be worthwhile to actually teach her some gish techniques sometime. For now you begin casting your spells preparing for a potential fight just in case. You don't bother taking any pains to hide it, and when you do so, Yzia does so, and that is quickly followed suit by Auena activating a series of powers. You three save your energies. Any simple defenses that last a long time are fine, but our advanced magics will last plenty of time in comparison. Technically it's true, but in your case arcane force will allow you to re-memorize the spells easily. Falna, of course has no spells to case, and Tzanzi is much more frightening for her resistance to them.Falna.She glances at you, curious as to why you would be addressing her specifically, but you partly unsheathe Siobhan as a response to her attention. The Warrior seems confused until she feels Siobhan's thoughts in her mind. My Lady Akko considers it her privilege to escort your mate to her Sword Ceremony, and I look forward to assisting you and yours in the battles ahead, Warrior Falna.Falna nearly stumbles, but she manages to regain her composure quickly. She shudders, the dark blade of your least human lover shimmering as you sheathe her. I thought you should know, because Dunzamn may make is public. I am not interested in Supreme Leadership; but there will undoubtedly be....offers afterwards. In Her Majesty's Name, Akko, when did that happen? When is relative. It did happen, and it was sanctioned by Her Majesty, and that is enough for me. They have some peculiar abilities, the Master Smiths, and I would have delved into them, in another life. Or, like, in this one in secret, but that's a secret.I have always admired you, Siobhan; you have earned this, and Malnae will be jealous, I think. He need not; in time he too will take his place among us. Your sword is a consummate liar, a fact you will remember well. She snickers inside your mind.
You arrive quickly, and Yzia steals a slow, lingering kiss, which nets you only a few glances from the assembling conclave (and most of those from knights, oddly enough). You Gesture for Schechei to precede you and she takes a deep, calming breath, centering herself. Kteine precede Falna, and you walk together towards where Jacinth lays curled around the platform that Dunzamn has raised in the courtyard. The psychic circuit gleams as he addresses the conclave, though you are more interested in the other recipients.Yashi smiles and caresses the handle of her blade fondly, the murmurs of her song brightening pleasurably in your mind, a feral contentedly loved by her mistress. Perhaps Yzia, Siobhan and I will arrange a private ceremony for you later. Yashi suppresses the shudder of pleasure at the images you present for her, while Yzia smiles and settles at the feet of Tzanzi and Auena as they stand at attention for Dunzamn.Jacinth growls, a shuddering blast of heat and light erupting from her fangs and lips, and the light-show and heat wave garner everyone's attention. You study the other three recipients; you know two, a youthful Gish named Kazeate, a prodigy among githyanki, as many gish tend to be. He will serve well in the war against the enemy. Then there is Urlasant, a Knight who does the duty proud. She at least has several more honors and awards on her regalia than most knights who receive their Silver Swords, meaning she's no novice. You would almost respect her if it weren't for the fact that you cannot trust the knights further than you could keep them on the blade of a dagger. Maybe a short sword. You don't recognize the third, a male githyanki warrior, in heavy armor and bearing a heavily decorated set of regalia. Also another who earned the blade himself, rather than being granted one as a matter of course. You made sure you were worthy of Siobhan before you were granted her; a fact she croons with pleasure into your mind privately.Dunzamn's opening speech is coming to an end; he calls upon Kazeate and his honored guard first, giving you time to compose yourself. Ask Schechei how she would like to be announced – simply or magnificently. Request that Dunzamn not announce Siobhan's new status save to the knights in private. See how Dunzamn announces Schechei and then decide on how you will announce her or not. Accept the blade from Dunzamn and then deliver the blade to Schechei – after a quick look-see. Introduce Schechei with Siobhan, announcing her status as a True Silver Sword roundabout.Siobhan likes that last idea – make your enemies fear you even more, and your allies more respectful all at once!

>>1753548>>1753551>>1753571Meh, I find it distasteful to overshadow Schechei on her big day.I mean, this is HER day, the day she gets her own Silver Sword. Let's not make it all about us.Hell, she might see it as an insult.
>>1753600What bigger honour is there than to have the wielder of a True Silver Sword stand as her attendant?
>>1753600I don't really see it as overshadowing and more making it an ever bigger deal instead.
>>1753603Because she won't stand as her attendant, she will steal the show.
[XX] Introduce Schechei with Siobhan, announcing her status as a True Silver Sword roundabout.[X] Ask Schechei how she would like to be announced – simply or magnificently.Dunzamn takes one of the five sheathed weapons from the platform he – and the candidates and their honor guards....you know, they really ought to settle on a single name for such people. It's a cultural phenomenon that really happens often enough, in your opinion. In any case, he steps forward offering the blade of Kazeate and the Gish that stands behind him, her hands on his shoulders. He takes the blade and unsheathes it, the blade thrumming pleasure and the desire for combat and control into the minds of those nearby. It is echoed by Siobhan and Voorsi, and then by the other True Silver Swords, to the other Silver Swords, giving all those present a taste of the blade's nature.Kazeate's eyes widen and a familiar look of wonder eclipses all other emotion. Siobhan, finished sharing Razalie's song, snickers inside your head, reminding you how moon-eyed you were for hours after she accepted you. No one would blame me either. She snickers softly in your mind. How do you wish me to announce you, Sexy? Boldly and brightly, naming you as githyanki and Gish? Or do you prefer no grandiose display? Siobhan politely refrains form encouraging her to accept the magnificent and grand introduction. But she wants to, oh, yes, she would enjoy performing for Schechei's benefit. She takes a few precious seconds to think about it. Dunzamn is already approaching with Tiagothe, a thoughtful, clever, quiet blade that hums softly in anticipation, just waiting to be held in the hand of a young firebrand once more. I will bow to your decision Akko. Siobhan chortles gleefully in your mind as you step forward.Dunzamn responds naturally and smoothly to your offer to take the blade, almost a though it was rehearsed. He hands the sheathed blade to you and you take it with a salute, which he returns. He steps back and you turn smartly, kneeling before Schechei and drawing Siobhan, placing the sheath along her silvery-black blade, alien fire glinting in her length in the darkness of the Lair. You and Siobhan speak and think as one, your telepathic voices echoing through the minds in the vast chamber.
I declare Gith Schechei, Mate of Falna, Sister to Kteine, Acolyte to myself, is now and evermore githyanki before Her Majesty, graced by the blade Tiagothe to serve as her weapon and companion in the war against the enemy. Regardless of her passions, her pleasures, her desires, her honor, or her origins, I declare her sacrosanct for judgment in those things. All that we will judge her by is her dedication to the death of the enemy and their works, wherever they may be discovered. ….Fight well, thou who are githyanki, and know that I will stand at thy back in all things so long as thou dost wield Tiagothe as intended by Her Majesty. The telepathic murmurs echo through your mind, reflected by Siobhan for you to here. Awe, agreement, encouragement, and threads of fear here and there. Lovely, simply lovely. She takes the proffered hilt, and lifts the blade as you bow your head, feeling the attention on you more than bothering to check for it. You have undoubtedly frightened a good number of people with that display. Supreme Leader Dunzamn, Leader Akko, I thank thee and will serve Her Majesty's Will as long as it is that of the githyanki. You can't help but grin at the near blasphemous statement. Siobhan's laughter is high and melodic in your mind, and Tiagothe plays liquid notes of amusement and gentle, loving admonishment at her temerity, reflected to all by Siobhan.Wonderful, she takes after her teacher, murmurs Dunzamn into your mind. The she will surely be a boon to us all, replies his companion Jacinth with mild amusement. You rise and give Schechei her sheath, as she stares in wonder at the wickedly barbed and beautifully designed Silver Sword she new possesses. As you take your place behind her, hands on her shoulders and warmly smiling as her communion with Tiagothe, Falna steps forward to take Kteine's blade, and offers it to her in similar manner, following the lead you provided. Malnae projects with her, but it is Siobhan and Voorsi hat echo their words for all to hear. You make not of that as well, adding it to your limited pool of information concerning the Silver Swords.I declare Gish Kteine, Daughter of Akko, Sister to Kteine, Acolyte to gish Auena, is now and evermore githyanki before her Majesty, graced by the blade Achris to serve as her weapon and companion in the war against the enemy. She is githyanki, through and through, and none shall fear that she should fall to the wayside or forget her place or her duties. I am grateful to be her honored guard and hope to see her triumphs lead us to the end of this war in Her Majesty's Name.
Kteine smiles sadly at Falna, and lays a gentle hand upon her shoulder as she takes the hilt of Achris. Achris sings boldly, an exultation of joy and blood-lust, one that has many shuddering in sympathetic desire. My thanks, and my hopes for you and your mate, that we may end this together and be at peace once more. Falna glances up at Kteine, surprised, and then salutes her, slowly. Kteine returns the salute and smiles, communing with her new companion and weapon. That one is bold, Akko. Be wary, she'll be a force to be reckoned with sooner than you'd like. I certainly hope so, Siobhan. She is smart and clever alike; she will outstrip Auena in years, if not months. So do you think she was speaking of Falna and I or she and Falna, hmn? If she hangs around Yashi and doesn't get killed, she will become even more formidable. Depends on if Falna hasn't gone crazy by the time we're finished with the raids.
>>1753620> I certainly hope so, Siobhan.> So do you think she was speaking of Falna and I or she and Falna, hmn?
>>1753620>I know she'll make me proud. They both already do, and will continue for a long time unless mistakes reap them first.>That reminds me, I have to train Aeuna. It seems I've neglected to sharpen the assets I already had when I was gathering new ones.

[XX] I certainly hope so, Siobhan.[XX] So do you think she was speaking of Falna and I or she and Falna, hmn?[X] If she hangs around Yashi and doesn't get killed, she will become even more formidable.[X] Write in? They make me proud, and barring death, they will continue to do so. Auena could use some training as well. She will have to be, Siobhan; I attract a great deal of attention and not much of it is the kind I prefer. Siobhan sings soothingly to you, though she is still amused. Easy to be blasé about it when you are safely indestructible and invulnerable, my love. I am neither, and they are not. On the other hand....I think being around Yashi will help her become more so. They have made me proud already, and the hope is that they continue to do so. Siobhan finds your reluctance to commit to their remaining alive somewhat morbid, if amusing. You give her the mental equivalent of a shrug. I am a realist, despite my desires and wishes. I will have to train Auena as well, before she begins training Kteine too deeply. Best to usher her into power as well. a thought occurs to you and you can't help the slight grin that crosses your lips. Perhaps after we have made friends with the Twin's blades, we will make a new pair of gauntlets or gloves for Auena – a Silver pair.Siobhan is all over that idea, and the chance to subvert Kteine's and Schechei's weapons is also immediately upon her. Slowly, my love, slowly. We must be careful. And speaking of careful....do you think Kteine was speaking of myself and Falna? Or perhaps herself and Falna?
The deadly blade speaks to you directly, giving you a faint shiver. You're not quite sure what to label the shiver in question so you put it out of your mind. She hopes to make a livable peace between you and Falna and herself. She has high aspirations, but I fear that will end in disaster. Then we shall make certain that she survives the disaster. It is a given that we shall. Siobhan purrs lovingly and with more than a little blood-hunger in your mind. The fact that Falna, Schechei and Kteine all glance at you in one manner or another tells you that Siobhan was sharing that particular little growl. When the presentations are over, you return your newly gifted pair to commune with their blades. They'll be useless for a while, but this is the dull part of the meeting: declaring targets and arranging for targets. You want to move your slaves in, so you try to keep it simple and quick. “Akko's Cadre declares for the central Elven Home Tree....” Dunzamn pauses to allow for dissidents to speak against you, or declarations on your part. Request Siege services, offering non-slave payments. See how many other cadres declare for the Elves before requesting Siege services. You don't need Siege work – your team is capable on their own with as many gish as you have. Offer Joerno and his cadre slave space and shares in bounty for his assistance. Remain silent for the moment, and let the conclave continue. Write in?Siobhan thinks Joerno's knight should have a fatal accident that implicates Falna.

>>1753706> You don't need Siege work – your team is capable on their own with as many gish as you have.
>>1753721A common refrain.
[X] You don't need Siege work – your team is capable on their own with as many gish as you have. You remain silent, unconcerned by others offers of Siege work or alliances on your behalf. The tentative alliance with Joerno is enough for the moment, as are those ties and connections with other githyanki – not necessarily cadre, but specific githyanki, some of which do lead cadres.“I do not approve of this.” It would be nice to say it was a surprise, but it's not one really. A knight, you don't know him personally, is challenging your right to be first to assault the elven home tree. You don't even bother uncrossing your arms, you simply look at him and those with him.Mid ranged knight, of course – under orders, you would guess – with a fairly standard sort of cadre with him. Two warriors, another knight, an a single spellcaster. Said spellcaster is very quickly casting spells: Shield, Protection form Fire, and probably already has most ofter defensive spells up. Most likely personal, as the others have more basic enchantments from armors and amulets upon them according to your Arcane Sight.“Gish Akko, do you have a reply for Knight Galtesos?” Dunzamn is working pretty hard to keep a straight face. He doesn't see to have a very high opinion of this particular knight, which is reassuring.“I have a number of replies, but most of them are irrelevant,” you comment mildly, ignoring the knight in favor of your Supreme Leader. “What sort of dueling code are you implementing?” your dismissal amuses many, and incenses the knight.
His gesture is dismissive. “I did not think anyone would be so foolish, so you are free to take up his challenge or not as you see fit, Gish Akko.” The number of githyanki standing around the errant knight is suddenly much less. Even those who have Silver Swords and possess strong cadres pull most of their numbers away from platform near him. His spellcaster seems to be one of them, abandoning her Leader in favor of survival. You gesture dismissively, unconcerned for his threats or his honor. Or, for that matter, him. Naturally the knight is caught off guard by your blasé attitude.Dunzamn looks at the knight. “Your challenge is unmet. Do you wish to petition for an audience – after I am finished here – or do you wish to engage in simple combat?”The knight looks even more confused, but the others are girding for a war footing.>All your defensive spells are still up – Dunzamn likes to keep things short. Apparently, you have something of a reputation concerning challengers. Not that you're surprised; after all, you have worked very hard to earn a particular reputation.Feeling your Cadre getting ready for a fight, the bristling energy of their combined wills and desires catching at your mind as you study the knight, you are gratified to notice that even Falna is taking offense at this githyanki's interference in your lives. “I, for one, suggest you recant your disapproval and release me and mine from any sort of situation where we might have to deal with you. You are, after all, a significant person in this upcoming raid, and it would be unfortunate if you did not follow the excellent advice your lovely Spellcaster has given you.”He frowns and turns to ask said Spellcaster what you are talking about, only to discover she is no longer there. You incline your head to her, and she blushes furiously, the other part of your reputation apparently well known to her. At some thirty feet distant, she is well out of range of most detonations, except your more potent ones. Others seem to take note of this and quickly absent themselves from around the knight.Angrily he turns back to you and grasps the badge of Her Honor, a spell spilling from his lips. Your response is faster, and you pour just enough of the Elder Power into the spell to make it as potent as it can possibly be. The spell rolls of your tongue in a litany of hot, deadly words, the necromantic energies erupting around your arm and hand as you gesture. The bolt of silver-laced grey lightning strikes him in the chest, and he gasps loudly, clutching his chest. His eyes roll back into his head as he collapses to his knees, the heavy adamantine armor he is wearing now much heavier to him than it was a second ago.The two remaining members of his cadre of five start towards you and you make a single quick, violent gesture and speak a few intense, potent words that cause them both to halt. You are kind enough to spare the few who are also caught in the erupting flames the brunt of the blast. The trio of cadre members who dared challenge you and yours are not nearly so lucky – the fact that the blast originates from the bead that falls from above them makes it all the worse for their inability to defend themselves from it.
The soft rush of blue-white flames engulfs them, and then cry out in pain as their leader – unable to respond at all – is caught in the center of the blast. When it clears, his breaths are hitching, desperate things, his armor blackened and scorched, his face burned. The two who were taking the battle to you stagger forward a few steps, only to meet invisible forces assaulting them as Kteine and Auena step forward as one. Auena grasps nothing and hurls it to the ground, the warrior she faces lifted partly off his feet and then slammed face first into the ground. Kteine's pose is simple and static, but heavy bell-like tones erupt from around her, and shafts of gleaming light form around the warrior she faces. He has enough time to look confused before the beams of light flash into livid brightness, and he screams, the beams of force detonating around him. He falls to his knees....clearly shaken by the forces Kteine conjured. Then Schechei and Yashi step forward.Auena shifts position and the warrior struggles valiantly as she moves into a pinning position....and the warrior she isn't even touching finds himself pinned and helpless. The other staggers to his feet, and then looks at Yashi's sweet smile and Schechei's grim expression. You sheathes his sword and places his hands upon his head, surrendering. You glance at Schechei and incline your head, offering her the choice. Yashi, blinks mildly at him and you sense their very short discussion. Three weapon weight in Deep Crystal to split between myself, Yashi, and Kteine, and three more in Void-Glass for our cadre's mercy. The githyanki warrior nearly turns purple in apoplectic shock, and he bares his spurs at all of you.
Then his friend gurgles as Tzanzi steps forward and seems to casually gesture in a fluid motion. The warrior glances over and then stares as his friend's blood geysers sideways from his neck across the stone floor, Tzanzi's knife buried deep in his throat. Two hearts can pump an amazing amount of blood from opened arteries, especially since an open circulatory system has little in the way of clotting mechanisms. He dies in seconds, rather than the moments that a true mammalian might have.Done! he cries out mentally, desperate to live through this incredibly foolish venture. His Leader tries unsuccessfully to stagger to his feet, and manages it on the second time. You narrow your eyes and he hisses loudly, baring his spurs. “I capitulate....but this is not over.” Oh, yes it is. You're going to make sure of it. Choose Force or Flame. His weregild is ten hands-weight in good jewels and fine gemstones – one for each of your Cadre, one each for blackening Schechei's and Kteine's ceremonies, and a third for Yzia not incinerating him. Walk up to him and ask him in what way this is not over. Strictly for Siobhan's education, because she thinks it's over. Ask Dunzamn his opinion on that particular knight's vendettas; if he's any good, you might not let him live. A Mythically Maximized Molten Orb will probably convince him otherwise; unlike the Ray this one was memorized, meaning it's far more deadly....Roll 1d20+19 Ranged Touch Attack. Write in?Pretty please can Siobhan gut him alive? Pretty please???

>>1753874I meant *is* just having a bad day. Like if he really is exactly as muh of a fuckup as he seems, I'm ambivalent to expending the effort to kill him, but if he's usually a lot more dangerous than no need to fuck around.
>>1753871>ask dunzamn about his vendettaswhen Dunzamn inevitably tells us he isnt worth it>walk up to him and ask in what way this isnt over?also, why he felt the need when not even the entirety of his own cadre agreed?then because we love her, Full attack

>>1753874>>1753885Eh, if he wants to live he better pay more.>>1753873>>1753874You guys realize the Force thing is for a Dragon Breath in his face, right? As impressive as it is, it would put unwanted attention on our ass. And we premised no unecessary drama.
Question, would it be ok to loot his armor? Also, killing him risks to cause a big movements among various debtors, creditors and allies he had, so we better be prepared.
>>1753893I'm open to a plain old stabbing in lieu of doragon furaimu
>>1753893I assumed that since Yzia is known to have the Elder Power, this is something most Githyanki would not be surrpised to learn Akko can do, I don't really see what motive she has to place undue suspicion on herself just to kill this guy extra hard, so I assume she isn't. Could be wrong though.
>>1753897Also I'm >>1753873Blame phone net!
>>1753897I'm not against indulging Siobhan now, unless it's considered like, really gauche, but I assume the reason Akko isn't doing that is that she's cautious enough to not want to get within range of this guy?
>>1753905Could also just be XS giving us a choice to not do it. But Akko is definitely smarter than anons so it's possible.

>>1753942>>1753955wow, this guy must be utterly terrifying. Akko could take lessons.
>>1753959...Dude, it's Akko doing the intimidating.
>>1753960And how!She should charge Kteine lessons.
>>1753960I am aware. But the image of an exhausted burnt half dead knight still managing to be intimidating as all hell was amusing.

Strictly for Siobhan's education, because she thinks it's over.[X] Ask Dunzamn his opinion on that particular knight's vendettas; if he's any good, you might not let him live.[X] Write in? Siobhan believes it is over, and you should convince her, or she may take offense at your attempts to annoy me further. And if you should happen to not convince her....then: [XX] You're going to make sure it's over. With Force or True Silver Sword, it will be.Dunzamn, please tell me he is not putting forth his best efforts. If he is, then he is a liability no matter how much Her Majesty loves him. You draw Siobhan and stalk slowly towards him, fully capable of flight as you are. Siobhan sings gleefully of murder, mayhem, and lusts of several kinds to you.If I were to be honest about such a question, I would say that he has been ordered to test your capabilities, perhaps entice you to use some of your more powerful spells in hopes that an assault could be carried out later. He is terribly loyal to the Knighthood, and he would unflinchingly give his live for Her Majesty. So, I would say he is more competent than he has given you – who is something beyond competent – reason to believe. Dunzamn's dark amusement at the spectacle makes you wonder if it wasn't on his orders, or if he has an agenda related to Vermithrax' agenda. Yzia did wish to tell you about why he was pretending to be Jacinth. I see. Well, there will be many disappointments this day. You don't bother clarifying what you mean; Dunzamn isn't stupid enough to believe you used all your most potent spells at all. Your layers of Arcane Force make is all too easy to reuse the spells you've already cast; you might have to spend a lot of it, but you could, which is more important than actually doing so in some ways. You broadcast to those nearby, and that includes most of the conclave at this point. In what way do you mean this is not over, foolish childer? He struggles to regain his footing but you press the flat of your blade against his shoulder and force him back to his kneeling position. Not even just his knees – his armor and the fact that he has lost more than half his strength means he is hard pressed to move in the heavy adamantine plate armor. Perhaps you will educate me on this matter, given that Siobhan believes that it is over.
Tilting Siobhan, you saw her edge along his breastplate where it connects to his pauldrons and gorget. The shriek of tortured metal is painful, but you grit your teeth and ignore it. Much harder on everyone around you; the protections of your bracers helps you cope. You pull her down and press her top off centerline, to his left side heart. The gasps and murmurs around you catch the knights attention; he glances at his shoulder, and sees the deep groves you've cut into the normally invulnerable metal.I personally agree with her, but I am perfectly willing to hear your side of the story, if you would deign to give me one.“I capitulated – it is over for now,” he insists and you incline your head, and push. He can't resist – he goes over backwards immediately, and he roars in pain as you stretch his thighs unmercifully. You plant Siobhan's tip in his breastplate and lean on her over him, looking down at his blazing red eyes calmly. It isn't until Siobhan starts sinking into his armor that he realizes he's not only at your mercy, he's a dead man. I recant! Your will is the stronger, your desire to be fulfilled! You lean on her hilt and she slides slowly deeper, the cut in his armor widening as she slowly penetrates it. WHAT DO YOU WANT?!Your oath, taken before this entire Lair, that you will seek no redress through others or by yourself. You will pay me a weregild, and then have nothing more to do with me, mine, or my efforts, so long as you live. You feel the blade penetrate his armor completely, the tip slicing easily into the padding of his armor. You ease up, much to Siobhan's dismay, but you still lean on her a little, using the Flight spell and Tactical Acumen to keep just enough pressure that she continues a slower slide through his armor. At the current rate I give you about fifteen seconds.I cannot make such an oath! Her Majesty's will...! You can see the falsehood in his expression the curl of his lips as he bares his spurs in seeming fright. He puts on a good show. You read between his lines much better. Her Majesty's will is present before you in the form of a True Silver Sword and the one who wields it. His eyes widen and the moue of his mouth becomes more stiff, the real deal now, as opposed to a fake fear-huffing. Do you think such as my lady-love comes into being without her permission and knowledge? I assure you, they do not. So....your oath or your life. I do not think I need to tell you which Siobhan desires more.Twenty hand-weights in the finest of gems and jewels, and your oath, Knight Isadama, wielder of Waova. Or I drink from your hearts.ATTEND! His mental shriek is enough to get everyone's attention, but it is the Silver Swords and the True Silver Swords that pay the most attention.
You silently whisper to him. Be very careful with your words, young Isadama. It will take but a single press to burst your hearts apart.I Vow that I nor those who serve me will take action or seek to disturb Gish-Leader Akko or those who serve her in any capacity; I offer twenty hand-weights in my finest jewels for weregild; I make Oath that this is so until the Silver Cord is Cut!Your Vow is heard and becomes part of the Record at this breath. The Silver Swords cease their attention and you slide Siobhan out of his armor....drawing her down and out, making him gasp in shocked pain. A shallow cut along his abdomen, nothing even remotely fatal, but painful. His armor is ruined of course.“Deliver your weregild to Tzanzi within three turnings or I will consider your Vow and Oath broken.” You sheathe Siobhan and she giggles manically, the taste of his blood on your lips as a....well, a 'gift' or sorts? “I would like to think you have an inkling of how unfortunate that would be.”He looks up at you, unable to move from this helpless position with his strength stolen as it is, and breathing in short, pained gasps. “I under....understand....Gish Akko....”See, they can learn, if you take the time to teach them, ladies, you broadcast, suggesting that it is male githyanki who need teaching, just barely hinting at the actual butt of the joke being knights. The relieved tension incites bursts of humor and amusement, though many tinged with fear and awe. You turn back to your Cadre and gesture, and they run, fly and float to you. Time to collect our treasures and playthings from home, my beautiful warriors. Yashi, Kteine, finish up the Lair and prepare to receive us. We will collect your slaves and property a little later. The chorus of agreement is instant and gratifying. And stay out of her pants, Yashi. you add for your Cadre alone, which incites amused outrage, humor, and a brilliant surge of lovely images from Yashi that is not shared as the other thoughts and feelings are.>To Be Continued....
Thank you for your patience, your reading, and your playing. I hope you have enjoyed. Next episode the first raid truly begins.
>>1753978Thanks for running, I had a lot of fun!
I'll stay a little longer to answer any immediate questions. I've been up since 930 AM yesterday, as i suspected would be the case.
>>1753976Thsnks for writing, a very cathartic climax. Even if Siobhan would no doubt argue not cathartic enough
>>1753985Thanks for running!I just have one question: do the Githyanki's body build usually changes when they have to stay in the Material Plane for long and their muscles actually require food, or is Aeuna a rare case?
>>1753996It takes a .long time for the build to change, relatively speaking. Auena has spent at least 20 consecutive years in a material plane or three. The first changes are usually toning of the muscles, rather than adding of body fat, because githyanki tend to a high protein, low fat diet by nature. Mind you, underneath that soft flesh is iron hard muscle, and a lot of it, but Auena's build does take a good amount of effort and time to create. Tzanzi really wants a piece of that ass.__Maybe a mouthful.
>>1753985Some general questions I have areDo Githyanki hold any special enmity of Aboleths due to the ways in which they're similar to Ilithids (pychic, have tentacles, treat other races like cattle) or do they just treat them like they do most creatures? And do Githyanki primarily deal with the Efreeti, or do they get along okay with most forms of genie, due to having semi-compatible views on slavery?
>>1754004>SpoilerDon't we all?
>>1754013Githyanki rarely deal with aboleth, as aboleth and illithids are somewhat mutually aggressive, and aboleth are almost strictly aquatic. If they ever meet aboleth, they're assumed to be a form of illithid (having extremely similar body types and biologies comparatively speaking) and thus on the 'instant kill list.Githyanki primarily deal with the efreeti; the Djinni are less than appreciative, the marid are far too unpredictable. The Shaitan, on the other hand, are equitable, and when they deign to trade with the githyanki, the trades are always valuable and worthwhile on both sides; it doesn't happen as often because the Shaitan tend towards isolationism. They are also creatures of their word, and thus much better for the slaves that the githyanki trade to them - assuming they don't get worked to death before they can break their slavery.
>>1754004Thanks. So we can expect Akko to get more toned quick.Did Aeuna deliberately cultivate her build?
Also, QM, did you get to watch the movie you wanted? Valerian or the Dark Tower? Or was life a ****?
Thanks for writing! Sad I missed so much, but everything went great so it's alright.
>>1754057No, she did not culitvate her build on purpose. She likes sweet breads.>>1754060I saw Valarian. I figured out what the problem with it was - more than the acting (atrocious) or the setting ior situations (beautiful and amusing). It was Valarian being trained to be a good, obedient, right thinking male by his girlfriend which was incredibly trite and terrible to do in a science fantasy movie.>>1754112Glad you enjoyed in the end.
