>>1656563Well written anon, couldn't have said it better myself. Now there's only one more thing left to do before we move onto the first part of the story proper. What is or are our defining character trait(s). Think Jason's mask or Freddy's shirt.I'm setting the limit of these traits to five in total.

Alrighty then, let's begin the inquisition. You've been slumbering in the abandoned mineshaft for a while now, not really certain how much time has passed since you last did anything beyond maintenance on your pickaxe to keep it sharp and digging more tunnels beneath the forest valley so you could get around faster. But today, after waiting for who knows how long, a sizable group of foolish young teens have ignored the warnings of the townsfolk and wandered into your domain once more. You can see it in what remains of your mind how they tremble the forest floor and pollute the scenery with their very presence, littering the environment with trash and scaring away the animals with how loud they are being. You lazily scrub off the dirt and shoo all the little creatures gnawing on your body as you get up and retrieve your signature mining tool from the ground next to you. After quickly checking that it was indeed sharp enough and in a workable condition you flipped it in your hand a few times experimentally. It was time to teach these kids why they should have listened to the tales and stayed away. You begin to whistle a faint tune with your rotten lips as you head out for the hunt.A) Listen to the sounds and head directly for the groupB) Wait for the night to fallC) Head into the tunnels that you have dug and pick them off one-by-oneD) Set up traps on to their walking pathE) Other (write-in)>>1656774Made me kek, good story anon.

For some reason quick replies don't work for me atm. First throw matters for most situations unless a natural overturns it or I say otherwise. With a box of matches in hand, you listen intently as the crunching sounds of the teens' footsteps come closer to your position. You've drilled small holes into the roof of the tunnel to listen in on them and get an idea on when you should light up the dynamite. As soon as you hear the first sounds of conversation you light up a match and set the fuse before crouch-running away to a safer distance.Despite having no more ears as they've long since fallen off, you still plug the holes at the side of your head out of habit and wait for the tremble to come.Soon there's a mighty bang that shakes the whole tunnel around you, causing dust to fly off the walls and smalls pieces of dirt to come off the ceiling.A)Head to the nearest exit and see the aftermathB)Stay hidden and wait for the night to fallC)Dig your way straight up and surprise the survivorsD)Go get more suppliesE)Other (write-in)

>>1657000on a side note it's pretty accurate thus far. Oregon used to be mostly mining and lumber till like, the '30s. It's just pine and birch forests along with mountains. Hell, they even have a coast line.
3vs2 with C) being the winner. Now that the happy campers are most likely one person short and completely shellshocked from the blast, you begin rapidly digging your hands into the dirt.In a matter of seconds you burrow your way through the soft ground and spring up from underneath the ground head first, your rotten face turned into a disturbing grin as you see the aftermath of the trap you had set up.One of the teens, a black man from the looks of it had stepped onto the bear trap and gotten himself stuck just before the dynamite went off. Unfortunately the blast didn't seem to catch anyone else and they are just standing or sitting on the ground just staring at the half a body that remains of their friend.Due to the shock of the sudden turn of events they don't seem to have noticed you yet that may soon change though so you have the advantage for the moment. What do you do?A) Jump out of the ground yelling "Surprise muthafucka!" and attack the first survivor in your pathB) Crawl out slowly and silently take down one of them before the others noticeC) Jump out without another word and strike the first one you see with your pickaxeD) Crawl out just enough to light up a dynamite and throw it into the midst of the groupE) Other (write-in)

I don´t mean playing around foolishly or anything like it, but it is only fun if the prey gets a fighting chance to defeat or at least escape from us. Or not.A mischievous plan forms in your mind as you remember that you had a nugget of gold in your breast pocket that you've kept around for a while along with tinier fragments. You quietly spread the gold around your exit hole before disappearing back down into the tunnels, you hope that you left enough that the teens will be incentivized to search the mines for more. There you should certainly be able to pick them off more easily.Throw 1d20 to see if they take the bait with a -1 penalty for the dead nigga.

Tough luck anons, better luck next time.Unfortunately, after waiting for hours back at the mine the teens don't seem to be coming and you just sacrificed several pieces of whatever gold remains around these parts for basically no gain. The day is nearing its end as the sun is setting. The survivors, significantly demoralized but alive have set up camp near the main lake, the very same one that you once rose out of, as evident from the smoke that you see billowing from that direction. The teenagers seem to have no respect for nature or the law for that matter, its dry season this time of year and if they go setting up fires carelessly they might set up the whole forest on fire.Such a possibility gives you food for thought though.A) Wait until the sun has set completely and the night has settled inC) Wait until early morning when it usually gets foggy and then head for the campB) Wait and hope for a change in weather, maybe it'll start rainingC) Come up with a new and better plan to lead the group into the mines since the last one failedD) Head for the camp immediatelyE) Other (write-in)

Correct me if I'm wrong here but do you mean you want to sprinkle kerosene from the lamps along the path from the camp to the shore?
Okay, just checking. While you're waiting for the night to settle in and give you visual cover, you search your equipment stash for the heavy kerosene canister that you used to fill the lamps in the past when you didn't have the ability to see clearly in the dark and eventually find it underneath a pile of rubble where it luckily hadn't ruptured and leaked its precious contents. The moon is already high in the starlit sky as you head towards the intruders' camp, your plan being to pour the kerosene onto the forest floor to light it up in a wall of fire that blocks off the camp from the rest of the area with the exception of the shoreline and the lake.As you are opening up the lid of the canister though, you can hear faint moaning sounds in the distance. It can't possibly be coming from further than a hundred meters away by your own rough estimate. What do you do about it?A) Nothing, continue with the planB) Investigate the noisesC) Other (write-in)
>>1657155>BAt least those degenerates haven´t ventured into handholding
You leave the kerosene can next to the tree you were about to pour it on and head off with your pickaxe in hand to investigate the strange noises in the distance. When you eventually reach the scene, you see a young couple rutting on top of a tree stump like a bunch of animals. The blonde woman is lying on top of the man and facing away from you while engaging in the most sinful act with her hips, without protection no less.Almost like they're asking to be killed. They seem to be at a perfect angle for striking with your weapon of choice since they are currently facing away from you.How do you wish to approach this?A) Snap the woman's neck after you get behind her before strangling her partner so he doesn't have time to alert the othersB) Attempt to kill both of them with a single swing from behind with your pickaxeC) Attempt to pick up a large rock to crush both of themD) Wait until they are finished, basking in the afterglow and then do one of the aboveE) Sit back and enjoy the show, possibly jack offF) Other (write-in)

You can't stand watching the two degenerates continuing their sinful acts any longer, so you slowly sneak up on them as they continue fornicating and moaning to each other in a most lewd manner.Raising the pickaxe over your head, you prepare to strike it down onto these vile beings with all your might. You decide to not jump the gun just yet and remain hidden, the only thing visible of you being a few bubbles that rise to the surface from where you are submerged at.Minutes go by and the person on the shore seems to be pacing around quite frantically as he or she waits around for the other survivors to emerge from the burning camp.Eventually you see the silhouette stop and stay still for a moment before running off towards the direction of the camp and out of your line of sight. What do you do?A) Follow the one who ran offB) Emerge from the water and block off the escape pathC) Remain hidden and wait for a while longerD) Look for a new hiding spotE) Other (write-in)
>>1658858>Emerge from the water and block off the escape path
>>1658858>B) Emerge from the water and block off the escape pathAh, survivors these days have no professional ethic. When you make a trap they are supposed to step on it, not to go backtracking and spend your valuable time. Why, back in the day...
Water trickles down all across your body like a waterfall as you emerge through the murky surface of the lake and take a look at the narrowing escape path of the survivors that you purposefully left open for them to run through so you could trap them and put them to the slaughter.Unfortunately, only one has emerged so far and even they went back for the others. So far you've felt like you've just wasted your time waiting for the teenagers to come out and you now boredly lean up against the handle of your pickaxe like it its a walking cane as you wait for your victims to emerge from within the smoke and flames of the raging wildfire. If you had a watch on you right now, you'd probably be looking at it every ten seconds so you just have to make do with mental counting of time for now. After an agonizing ten whole minutes of waiting, you finally see multiple forms emerging from within the thick smoke. Some of them are stumbling quite a bit as they limp their way out of the danger zone. What do you do?A) Greet them with a dramatic speech when they see you (write-in)B) Make a one-liner and charge at the nearest one with your pickaxe (write-in)C) Light up a stick of dynamite and throw it into the midst of the groupD) Walk towards them silently with your weapon ready to strikeE) Other (write-in)
D) Walk towards them silently with your weapon ready to strikeThey might have ignored the basics of survivor´s etiquette, in the mine we do things the old way
>>1658890>D) Walk towards them silently with your weapon ready to strikeLet's save One-liner for After we crush someone skull.
Thread theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t5L1BoF_6sYou walk slowly towards the group, gripping the handle of your pickaxe tightly in anticipation as you prepare to use it on your soon-to-be victimsAs the first three people emerge from the smoke, you have to choose which one you go for first since they are spread apart enough that your pickaxe can't possibly take down more than one at a time. The three survivors stop mid-step as soon as they see your intimidating form stare down at them with a sadistic grin, you could swear that there was a wet, darkened spot forming on the letterman jacket wearing jock's jeans. The other two survivors that have emerged so far besides the jock are a girl wearing a large wooden cross on her neck along with a modest light blue dress and a ponytail and an acne-riddled manlet with a bland yellow T-shirt and grey cargo pants.Which one do we strike first?A) The JockB) The GirlC) The Manlet with horrible fashion senseNo roll needed for first strike.
>>1658923Kill the jockThe girl goes last, as the dress will encumber her greatly in the waters
>>165892>B)It's important to get the virgin as fast as possible
>>1658923B) The Girl
Isn´t the girl the one you kidnap to bring more visitors?
>>1658923>A) The JockHe has best changes of outrunning us
Coin toss on who dies because vote is split:1 = The Girl2 = The JockAaand... tossing
Rolled 2 (1d2)Fuck, forgot the roll.
You raise your pickaxe high over your shoulder, your grin becoming even wider than one could think was possible for a man. The exposed steel body of the axehead glimmers in the moonlight briefly before its brought down onto the head of the Jock McDouchebag who just stares at it blankly as it comes closer towards him.As if in slow motion, the force behind the blunt smashing end of the mining tool splinters the his skull into dozens of bloody fragments. His head is completely caved in and blood is gushing everywhere when you eventually remove the weapon, its tip is now decorated with gray matter that got stuck on it when it made impact. The manlet and the the girl look on in terror for a moment before getting over their initial panic and attempting to make a run for it, both of them yelling and screaming all the way as they do so.What do you do?A) Extend your hands and attempt to tackle both of them to the groundB) Light your last dynamite and attempt a double takedown once they've run past youC) Take the first one down with a swing of your weapon and nail the other by throwing it at their backD) Attempt to push or trip them into the fireE) Other (write-in)
A) Extend your hands and attempt to tackle both of them to the groundWhat if we take both prisoners and we make the manlet fetch some victims for us while keeping the girl hostage?
>>1659011Now is the time for one-liner."You should have wear a helmet." Or something of that caliber. Also voting for this.>Attempt to push or trip them into the fire
>>1659011B) Light your last dynamite and attempt a double takedown once they've run past you
>>1659011B) Light your last dynamite and attempt a double takedown once they've run past youEXPLOSIONS?!?!
>>1659011E) Beat the girl with the manlet to death also known as BEAT A MOTHERFUCKER WITH ANOTHER MOTHERFUCKER
"Should have worn a helmet dumdum!" You yell in glee at the corpse of the jock as it falls to the ground and continues to bleed like some sort of macabre fountain. As the girl and the manlet run past you, you reach into your miner's jacket's breast pocket to retrieve your last stick of dynamite. It has a shorter fuse so it should act like a grenade when you throw it.How do you wish to throw it?>Cook it for a second or two then throw it with all the force you have right into the middle of the pairOr>Throw it immediately but further away into the pair's path so it explodes at their feet instead of mid-airFor both choices you must roll 1d20 to see how well you manage to throw, best out of three throws is chosen.
>>1659060>Cook it for a second or two
>>1659062Nigga you forgot to roll.
Rolled 20 (1d20)>>1659067I though you wished to first decide then roll
>>1659071What a massacre. Can we keep one of them as bait?
>>1659071Yeah, sorry should have been clearer on that. Also nice roll I don't think we need more rolls since you got a natural on the first try.You use the scorching flames next to you to light up the fuse before cooking the dynamite for about two seconds in your hand, watching as the fuse rapidly gets shorter. You reel it back in your hand, remembering the way you used to throw baseball back in your previous life....And then you throw it, having but every inch of your strength behind it you watch in anticipation as the stick of dynamite sails through the air before exploding right in the middle of the girl and the manlet. An ear-shattering bang echoes through the hot burning air as the explosive goes off and turns half of the two survivors's bodies into nothing but fine red mist and sending the rest flying off into various directions.(meta)You have gained a level of proficiency for using dynamite in your kills, from now on you'll always get a +1 bonus for rolls when using it.(meta)(meta)You have successfully managed to kill the group's virgin, now nothing will stand in the way of your final victory.(meta)You are now only left with the remaining few survivors who are already scrambling away to get away, but not in an attempt to run past you, instead taking their chances in running back towards the raging wildfire that has by now engulfed their camp. What do you do?A) Chase them down and make sure every last one of them dies by your handB) Watch them run to their deaths, it matters to you not how they dieC) Check the bodies of your most recent victimsD) Other (write-in)
>C) Check the bodies of your most recent victimsShame about the virgin, would have been glorious bait. Check them to see what they have in store. Can we take a molar out of each of them, you know, as a signature move?
>>1659101>C) Check the bodies of your most recent victims>>1659101 >(meta)You have successfully managed to kill the group's virgin, now nothing will stand in the way of your final victory.(meta) Manlet was a Virgin, isn't he?
While searching through the pockets of the deceased jock, you begin whistling the tune that's been stuck in your head again. To you it brings a sense of calm despite the fact that there is literally a fire raging all around you and you are currently looting the corpse of a person you killed not more than a few minutes ago.Eventually you manage to find several things, including a flip-knife, a lighter along with a pack of cigarettes, a phone, an expensive-looking wristwatch and your missing gold. And that's just from the jock. When searching what remains of the manlet and the girl, you don't find much but the little you do find will indeed be useful. The manlet carried with him a small survival kit, which included things like first aid and basic surgical tools. The girl on the other hand had on her remains a tiny revolver that unfortunately didn't have any ammo in the chamber. Now that you've searched the bodies though there's not really much else to do anymore at this point, the remaining survivors look to be burning themselves alive as evident from the screams of agony coming from the direction of the camp that occasionally pierce the air.A) Start trying to put out the fire yourselfB) The fire department and other state orgs will handle it like they always do, just waitC) Attempt to go around from where the fire has not yet spread and return back to the mineD) Other (write-in)>>1659145Maaaybe... :^)
>>1659211>ATake care of your hunting grounds, the irresponsible kids with the drugs will take the blame.
>>1659211>D) Other Hide and prepare an ambush for firemen.THE RIDE NEVER ENDS
C) Attempt to go around from where the fire has not yet spread and return back to the minecombined with B) The fire department and other state orgs will handle it like they always do, just waitOur work here is done. Lets just take care of the hippie and the corpses by flinging him into the fire. Trying to kill firemen sounds dangerous, as they are vital for the smooth operation of our hunting groundsFollowed by >D: Put a coin in the hippie´s corpse, to let the rumor spread about the gold in here. Let´s hope for some underground combat in the next batch of idiots
>>1656074E) Jigsaw (aka John Kramer)
>>1659230boy you hella late
>>1659225>>1659211If it speeds things up, I am alright exchanging (B for (A in my post a. Do you approve getting (D before (A and then we go back to the mines?
>>1659241I might have put things a little bit confusing here:We first put a coin in the hippie´s pocket and we throw him into the fireThen we try to get the fire a bit under control, escaping into the mines when the firemen arrive
Since the fire has not spread too far, you figure that you still have chance to at least slow its spread down with your actions. You don't have any containers at hand which to get water, so you instead carry sand from the shore in your hands and use it to suffocate the smaller fires that are nearest to you. While you're carrying another handful of sand, you spot the corpse of the hippie whose neck you snapped earlier and get a mischievous idea on how to get more people to come around and visit the forest and the mines spread around it.After throwing the sand onto the flames, you reach into your pocket and drag out a piece of the gold you retrieved from the jock a while back before placing it into the backpocket of the corpse. You seriously hope that the bait works this time. You continue to carry more sand from the shore until you eventually hear the sounds of an approaching chopper and look to the sky to see one painted in the colors of the oregon's state forestry service and carrying a large container of water underneath it, which it proceeds to dump onto the raging inferno on the ground.Since you figure that the government boys now have the situation under control you jump into the nearest tunnel entrance and crawl your way back to the main mining network. After a hard day of killing intruders of your domain, you're unsurprisingly feeling sleepy again and once you reach the mine proper you almost immediately collapse against the wall, your bottom landing onto the damp and dusty floor. You soon begin another period of slumber in the comforting darkness and the creatures that inhabit it once more begin feasting on your rotten body for sustainance, but you don't mind. After all... What do you really have to worry about, you're already a walking corpse anyway. And with that, ends the first part of our story. I'd like to extend my gratitude to everyone that participated in this quest so far and hope you join me again in the next one that starts sometime later in the week when I get a proper cover made for the quest. For now, I'll be bidding all of you fine people goodnight and adieu.
>>1659298Thanks for running, keep your tools sharp for next time.
