In a time of global conflict, the elite international task force Overwatch was formed. Soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities: together, they ended the Omnic Crisis and restored peace to a war-torn world. For a generation, the heroes of Overwatch protected the world, inspiring an era of exploration, innovation, and discovery. After many years, Overwatch became troubled, and was finally disbanded by official U.N. order. Soon world conflict and terror rose again. Governments weakened by strife ceded power to mega-corporations. Militaries were replaced by private security forces. Some omnics returned to war with humanity; others remained peaceful, but faced fear and violence from humans affected by the war. The global crime syndicate Talon, in the absence of their perpetual rivals, rose to vast wealth and power, pushing entire nations into chaos. You are a young man who's been many things: adventurer, treasure hunter, freedom fighter, and international criminal. But before all that, you dreamed of helping defend the world with Overwatch. When you encountered Tracer on that fateful night and agreed to help her rebuild, you didn't quite realize what you were getting yourself into. Joining as the first new recruit of the reborn team, you soon found yourself as unofficial leader in coalition with Athena, apparently the world's only benevolent Mind.In the weeks since then, you, Tracer, and your new friends have travelled the globe, recruiting former agents and newcomers to the cause, and doing what you can to protect the citizens of Earth. Overwatch is doing what it can to ward off the forces of chaos, oppression, and war. But can one small group of vigilantes really protect everyone? The world needs heroes, and you're trying to be one of them.

>>1655224Voomp! Tracer blinks in and skids to a halt in front of you. She plants one hand on her hip and salutes with the other. "Hi, Logan! How's your morning?""Fine, thanks," you say, distracted with the blueprint maps on your datapad.Tracer tilts her head, trying to catch your eye. ""Fine, thanks,"" she says in a gruff imitation of your voice, then giggles. "Got something on your mind, luv?""Plenty. The mission in Singapore today, for starters. Well, I call it a mission, but I guess it's more like a heist.""Ooh, right! That's today!" Tracer snaps her fingers, remembering. "Wish I could go with you, but Mercy's still givin' me the no-go after that hit I took in Africa. Hate to admit it, but she might have the right idear." Tracer laughs, then winces and holds her side. "Actually, I probably shouldn'ta run across the base like that just now, hah hah ... ouch ...""Sheesh. Here, sit down and take a minute.""You sure? I didn't mean to distract you from heist planning.""It's fine," you say, switching off your datapad. "I've got the options sorted out, I just need to discuss it with the team. Which raises the question of who to let in on this." So far you've only told Tracer what you and Athena are planning. (Continued)
>>1655311Tracer a cute.
>>1655311A few days ago, Athena alerted you that a high-ranking executive in Hyde Global, a robotics and manufacturing subsidiary of Lucheng Interstellar, was habitually leaving his terminal unsecured. With the amount of priviledges afforded to executive terminals, someone who gained physical access to the computer could gain all kinds of intelligence on the in-progress misdeeds of Lucheng and their allied megacorporations -- Vishkar, Helix, and the others. Success on this mission would mean valuable intel on future missions to frustrate their plans for dominion, and to steal the funds for operations and upgrades Overwatch desperately needs. You might even find a piece of the puzzle to one of the elusive mysteries you've been dogging for years, the ultra-secret projects you can only find tantalizing hints to -- Fulgurite, Snowstorm, and the others. You know what kinds of tyranny the megacorps are capable of: exploiting and subjugating their workers, even as they present a shining vision of the future to those citizens not yet under their yoke. You know that they have plans for something even greater, something that will solidify their control over the world beyond anyone's grasp to change it.The question is whether you can make the team believe that. Fighting Talon and the Omnics is pretty straightforward, morally speaking. Robbing from a technically law-abiding company might be something else. Some agents would clearly be fine with it. Others, perhaps not so much. You could keep this mission a secret, only telling the people you plan to bring along: Genji, Hanzo, and perhaps McCree. That would certainly keep things running smoothly for now. This is something that needs to be done for the greater good, even if they can't see it.On the other hand, this kind of secret black ops stuff, where the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing, is what contributed to Overwatch's downfall in the first place. People said that Blackwatch was out of control, that Gabriel Reyes was willing to cross any line. His actions played a large part in turning public opinion against the old team. And the new team depends even more on the opinions of the ordinary citizens you're trying to protect. Do you really want to go down that same road?>Tell the team about the plan.>Keep it a secret.>Ask McCree and Genji about what to do. They were in Blackwatch.>Ask Tracer about it. But she might not be happy about it. She was pretty emphatic about not wanting any more responsibility than she already had. Maybe you'll save it for another time. You have a pretty good idea of what she'd say anyway, or at least you think you do."Athena, are the boys ready?" you ask the wall terminal."Agents McCree, Genji and Hanzo are waiting for you in the command center," Athena replies."All right," you say. "I think we should probably tell the team about all this, but I'll get their opinion first. McCree and Genji were a part of Blackwatch, after all. If Reyes had some great reason for doing things the way he did, they'd know about it, if anyone would."You get up and start heading towards the command center. Tracer falls into step beside you. "Mind if I tag along?""No problem," you say. "What do you think about this plan? I know you're not the biggest fan of crime and lawbreaking and all.""What's important to me is doin' the right thing," says Tracer. "And that ain't always the same as obeyin' the law. Overwatch wouldn'ta been disbanded if it was. That's why we're all here, y'know? We all believe that at least a little bit, or we wouldn't be defyin' the Petras Act to restart Overwatch. But the world needs us. Sometimes you gotta break the rules to do something good." She turns to you and smiles. "You know more about this corp stuff than I do. And I know your heart's in the right place. If you say it's the right thing to do, Logan, then I believe you."(Continued)

Hanzo has his arrows spread out on the rest of the table, while he holds one up, appraising its straightness with a critical eye. Genji is testing his shuriken manufactory system, sliding the arming port on his right hand and forearm open and shut repeatedly, three shurikens popping up and down with each slide."Gentlemen, thanks for joining me," you say. "Athena should have given you the rundown on what this is about. Before we get started, I'd like to raise the issue of informing the rest of the team. Are we cool with telling them? Genji, McCree, you guys were on Blackwatch with Reyes. What do you think we should do? Is it worth trying to create a "black ops" squad with just the four of us?"McCree and Genji look at each other. Genji shrugs. McCree sits up, takes the cigar out of his mouth. "Can't say I recommend it, kid. I ain't going to say anything bad about Reyes, god rest his soul. He had reasons for doin' things how he did. The suits at the UN breathin' down his neck for one, tellin' him they didn't like the way he got things done. Jack was right peeved about Gabe sending you in ahead without his permission, Jesse.""Oh, yeah." McCree scratches under his cowboy hat with a sheepish grin. "Well, he had good reasons, that's all I'm saying. But I don't think we should do the same. There's only eleven of us here, thirteen includin' Brigitte and Athena. No committees lookin' over our shoulders. I think we should shoot straight with each other.""I agree," says Genji. "One of few strengths we possess is the harmony of our team members. >>1655588Athena pings the rest of the team with an immediate but non-urgent summons, and the other agents trickle in over the next five minutes. Mei is the last to arrive, rushing down the stairs, her hair still wet from the shower. Apologizing profusely, she slips past to an empty chair. "Sorry, sorry, sorry ...""All right, everyone," you say. "Thanks for joining me. Athena and I have cooked up a mission for us. Today we're busting into the 80th floor of the Hyde Global building in Singapore. Athena's found a computer inside, and if we can access it, we'll get some good intel on the corps and their plans. While we're inside, we can probably pick up some spending money as a bonus. It's not a life or death situation, but it'll help us out a lot, and our window is about to close. So we're going a few hours from now."You're ready to face down any challenges to your plan, but don't encounter as much resistance as you were expecting. Winston and Mei look troubled but don't raise any objections. Reinhardt proclaims he willl defend the weak and innocent of the world from any who might harm them, even with the weight of the law on their side. Torbjorn asks some brusque questions, but he's more concerned about the possibility of blowback and your actual chances of success on the mission than any sort of ethical concern. More than usual, you have some idea of what you're doing, and he accepts your confident assurance that you can erase the security records and leave Overwatch blameless -- up to a certain point, of course. You don't say it out loud, but breaking into a corporate citadel is something you have more experience in than even McCree and Genji. So for maybe the first time since you joined, you feel comfortable about calling the shots. You call up the building's room plan that Athena obtained for you, show the map of the 80th floor on the main screen, and mark the location of the unsecured executive terminal. "Here's our target, ladies and gents, gorilla and Omnic. Now we just have to decide how to go about this."The discussion around the table begins as every agent weighs in with their opinion on how the mission should be done.Approach:>Loud>Stealth>Balanced>Special (Disguise)Formation:>Small (3-4, attack-focused)>Medium (4-5, balanced)>Blitz (6, attack-focused)>Wrecking Ball (6, tank-focused)Agent Priority:>Bastion>Genji>Hanzo>Mei>Mercy>McCree>Reinhardt>Torbjorn>Winston

A level 1 keycard to get through security doors. An off-site hacker, on standby to delay the 80th floor's alarm systems. And some medical supplies, stashed ahead of time in a key location. You give Athena most of the credit for this, still feeling like you should be modest about the extent of your connection to the global criminal elite. You spend some time looking over the floor plans and mission information with the strike team. McCree draws on his cigar, silent and thoughtful, while Hanzo and Genji disagree on the best routes. The rest of the agents offer their own suggestions, some helpful, some otherwise. You advise the team to hold off on committing too strongly to one plan of action, though, telling them about how corporate office floors like this often have highly modular walls, and rearrange their room layouts like compulsive housewives rearranging furniture. The floor plan is useful as a guideline and nothing more, but all four of you are used to being flexible and acting on incomplete information.Soon the team is ready to depart."Good luck out there, gentlemen," Winston says, shaking your hand enthusiastically. Your hand is dwarfed by his huge gorilla paw, but you manage to extract it without getting it crushed."Keep yourself safe," Mercy says. Her hands are folded politely in front of her, but you can see her trying to stop twisting her fingers from tension. "I -- We'll be waiting for your return."Reinhardt hrmphs. By which I mean if I screw up, I'm sure they'll rescue me.""That we will," says McCree. "Wouldn't do our reputation much good gettin' our junior agent snatched. We'll keep a close eye on him for y'all."Hanzo says, "I've already got one rebellious young man on this mission to prevent from doing anything stupid and being captured, or worse. I suppose a second isn't out of my way.""Thanks, brother," Genji says, sarcastic."Really touching," you add. "Anyway, guys, we'll be fine. This is a low-risk intel grab. Basic security. No reason for them to expect anything incoming. We might be able to get in and out with no-one even knowing we were there. Worst case scenario, we have to wing a few guards and keep the doors blocked for a while while Athena extracts the data."That isn't actually the worst case scenario, of course. That would be if a Helix Interceptor shows up. An elite agent. Like Pharah. It wouldn't be her -- she's been stationed in Egypt guarding the Temple for a while now. But it would be someone on her level. Someone highly trained, disciplined, and dangerous, with advanced weapons and armor. Someone who could take on any Overwatch agent in a direct fight, and lead security forces in an organized resistance and pursuit. "And that's why we'll be perfectly safe," you finish saying.(Continued)

It'll definitely prove valuable in the short term, but, well, let's say I'm hoping it might help us long term too." You feel a focused intensity burning inside you like a laser. You force yourself to quiet it down for now. It's a pretty long flight to Singapore, after all. Hold on to that energy. Keep it in reserve. Maybe you're a bit nervous. You've done this sort of thing plenty of times before, but that just means you know plenty of ways it can go wrong. You aren't going to show that to the team, though. Let them see that you're confident. Give them something to have faith in."What d'you mean about "long term"?" asks Tracer, quizzical."I've heard rumors about certain projects," you say. "Top secret. So far I've still got nothing concrete. I keep hoping to find that one clue that'll lead me there. Maybe today's the day.""Maybe so, mate." Tracer finishes preparations and grasps the control wheel. "Ready to roll?""You bet." You twist around and call back to the passenger compartment. "All set, guys?""We're squared away," McCree replies. "Ready when you two are.""Orright then," Tracer says, and pulls back on the wheel. "Off we go!"The Aurora ascends into the sky and heads east, towards Singapore. In the Hyde Global citadel there, on the 80th floor, your mission awaits.

Unless this like XCOM where you will consistently miss shots with a 99% chance of hitting, you know, the times that the character models showing your guy's gun inside the enemy's mouth and when he pulls the trigger the he/she pulls the gun to fire in a completely different direction.
>>1656295The neon signs of the Singapore streets recede under your feet as the glasteel elevator smoothly ascends up the outside of the Hyde Global citadel. The floors whisk by in a rapid blur, evidence of your high speed. But when you look up, your glass cage still has a long way to go up the towering steel monolith. Above and beyond the skyscraper, the nighttime clouds are illuminated in strange colors and shadows by spotlights and floating holographic advertisements. McCree cracks his knuckles and tilts his head back and forth, loosening up. Genji stands by the glass wall of the elevator, watching the city fade into the distance below you, or perhaps the night sky. Hanzo is muttering something repetitive under his breath, perhaps a Buddhist sutra."All right guys," you say. "Just to go over it one more time. The security at the 80th floor elevator exit will be disabled for thirty seconds. We'll get into the offices, find the executive office, plug Athena into the terminal, and keep it guarded while she does her thing. Then we're out of here. Ideally we'll do this on the down-low, without triggering any alarms or being spotted by the guards. but if anything happens, we've got an offsite hacker ready to delay the alert, and an alternate escape plan. >>1657964You don't say anything else. Your success rate for inspiring speeches or cool one-liners isn't so hot right now. You opt not to say anything that might embarass you, or break the others' focus. The atmosphere is tense with concentration as you rise up the side of the corporate monolith. You intently watch the small electronic readout displaying the rapidly increasing number of your current floor. Finally the elevator slows to a stop. The display reads 80. A soft bing sounds as the door slowly opens, revealing a dimly-lit office foyer. The wall bears a large Hyde Global logo, and beside it, the all-too familiar symbol of Hyde's parent corporation, Lucheng Interstellar.Soundtrack: Deus Ex HR -- Police Station Ambient 2https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4pQKIHhsJkFighting back the fear, trying to ignore the sensation like snakes slithering around in your stomach, you move to the front of the open elevator. Okay. You've done this plenty of times now, you tell yourself. It's an easy mission into corporate lowsec, with three competent veterans backing you up. No reason to be afraid. You can do this. You step out into the foyer and take a cautious look around. No red lights start flashing, no sirens start wailing, no guards demand to see your identification immediately. "Athena, are we good?" you ask. "No silent alarms?""We are good," she says. "I will continue to monitor their communications. My systems are charged. I am ready to activate my hacking or tactics programs on your order, Seeker."Moving to the east door, you edge it open just a crack and take a peek through. You see a big, open room stuffed full of cubicles for low-ranking office drones in some kind of maximum-effiency layout. The lights are off, and the screens are deactivated, all the workers having gone back to their bunks for the night, probably a dorm on one of the lower floors. But the room is still dimly lit by the glow of hundreds of power indicators -- and by a single, narrow beam of bright light. A night guard is walking at a measured pace through the labyrinthine paths between cubes, sweeping the area with his flashlight. The other three agents stack up behind you, silently awaiting your signal. You think about how to deal with the security guard.>Sneak around him.>Knock him out.>Hold him up and interrogate him.

Genji and I will go first, then you two right after. Let's go."Carefully opening the door all the way, you step out into the cubicle farm. Genji takes the lead, the two of you carefully but quickly moving through the room, staying low to keep your heads below the level of the cubicle walls. You look back over your shoulder to see McCree and Hanzo following behind at a short distance. At one point, Genji halts and motions for you to stop just before the flashlight beam sweeps across your path. You wait a moment, feeling your heart beating rapidly with excitement. The flashlight moves on, and you continue.Soon you and Genji arrive at the door to the next section, pressing yourselves up against the walls on either side. This is a secure door leading to a higher clearance area of the floor, and thus requires a level 1 security keycard. Fortunately, you happen to have a copy of just such a card. You take it out and are about to insert it into the reader, when the door opens right in front of you.You freeze, motionless, like an animal spotted by prey, hardly daring to breathe. Genji does the same. A corporate security guard walks straight between you, not looking to either side as he lets out a huge yawn. The door slides closed behind him, and he walks out into the cube farm, approaching his comrade. "Hey, Lee. How's your night going?""Fine, thanks Bill. How's the wife?"McCree and Hanzo join you at the door, looking over their shoulders at the two guards. "Tarnation," McCree says quietly. "That was close. Got unlucky and lucky at the same time, I guess." You activate the keycard reader, and the door slides open again. All four of you quickly step through, and shut the door behind you. On the other side is a hallway, bisected by a long, cushioned bench. On your right is a series of glass-walled meeting rooms. On the left is some kind of lounge area with couches and plants. The hallway ends in a corner, turning left. Following that take you in the direction you hope to find the executive terminal. "Room layout has been altered," Athena says in your ear. "Security camera coverage is high." She overlays your HUD with a red zone, indicating a camera's viewing area. Most of the floor turns red as she adds a second and third danger area. "Calculating. No routes found. Shall I hack the cameras for you, Seeker? Their operator will remain none the wiser, and if I control them, I'll be able to monitor the area myself."Athena shows you a graphic representing her hold on the floor's computer systems. It's a meter at about 40%, slowly increasing as she works her way through the corporate cyber-security. An indicator shows that hacking these cameras will take about 30% power.(Character limit. Continued.)

I just shot whatever he pointed me at."At the end of the hall and to the left, you spot a fancy-looking door of the type that usually leads to an executive's office. Inside should be the computer you're here to hack. There's another door to your right that requires the security keycard to get through. Something about this door intrigues your instincts, and you wonder if it's possible that Hyde Global is keeping something juicy back there. There's also the meeting rooms on your right, where you might find some extra cash chips or useful info lying around, as well as the lounge to your left, which would be a good place to cut off guards before they reach the room your objective is in.The team:>Splits up to get two things done at once.>Stays together. >>1658319You briefly consider investigating the secure door or the nearby offices, perhaps splitting the team to deal with that while you pursue the mission. However, you decide to concentrate on the primary objective, and on keeping everyone hidden. Make sure you can ace an easy stealth mission with the team. Later on you can worry about investigating security doors hiding strange rooms that aren't on the plans and such. The four of you make your way down the corridor. Another guard emerges from the shadows of the meeting rooms to your right, but Athena spots him ahead of time on the camera, and gives you enough warning for everyone to hide.Once the danger has passed, you make your way up to the executive door with its elaborate filligree. The door only opens electronically, and shows a red light above a keypad. Genji tests the door. "Locked.""Don't worry," you say, pulling out the datacord from your forearm port. "This one I can handle." You plug yourself in and run the program you devised for just such an occasion, breaking into low-ranking executive's personal codes. Your HUD shows rapidly scrolling numbers in the corner as your program goes to town. "Alert," Athena says in your ear. "Observation drone incoming to your position. Cannot establish control.""Shit," you mutter. Obs drones are basically floating cameras. They don't bite, but they'll alert everyone in the building if one spots you. Fortunately, before you have to figure out what to do about it, the lock lights up blue. The door slides open. "Right on time. Everyone inside, quick."The other three agents slip inside. You catch a fleeting glimpse of the obs drone, a hovering sphere about the size of a basketball, with a huge set of visual sensors like spider eyes, before following the others into the office and shutting the door behind you.(Continued)

>>1658388Your three companions stand agog at the sumptuous decor of an executive's private office. Used to the extravagant splendour of such scenes, you move forward, ignoring the resplendant luxuries -- the drapery, the sculptures, the shelves of real, physical books -- in favor of the huge desk of dark wood that dominates the room.Still with your data cord out, you plug yourself into the computer at the desk. "All right, Athena. I'm in. It's still unsecured, right? This wasn't a wild good chase?""Access confirmed," Athena says. "Beginning data transfer. Estimated time: four minutes.""Okay, fellas, you heard Athena. Four minutes. Keep that door guarded. Once she's done the transfer, we're out of here.""We're on it, kid," says McCree, readying his revolver with one hand while keeping the other near the flashbang grenades on his belt. He keeps a steady eye on the door.Hanzo says, "The lights in this room were on. Perhaps its owner is still present.""They often stay late to the office," you say. "Why go home when your workplace is like this, right? I expected to find him in here, actually. Not sure where he is--"You hear a toilet flush and, hidden by a statue of a rampant lion, a door swing open. A young man in a very expensive suit emerges from from behind the statue, whistling a jaunty tune as he tucks his shirt back into his belt. Then he spots you standing at his desk, and he freezes in place. You say, "Well, this is awkward.">Take him hostage.>Kill him.>Tell him to go back and wash his hands for four minutes.

>>1658402>>Take him hostage.
>>1658402At first, you're about to tell the exec to turn around, go back to the bathroom, and wash his hands until you're done. Then you realize there's a chance he's got a phone on him, or has some kind of terminal in the bathroom, and might call security. You shrug apologetically. "Sorry, pal. Looks like it's naptime." You look behind him. "Genji, will you--?"The cybernetic ninja has already slipped behind him, unnoticed. Before the suit can even turn around, Genji slips an arm around his throat and clutches him in a sleeper hold, a far more effective and reliable way of knocking someone out than blunt force trauma. With blood cut off to his brain, the exec soon goes limp, and his eyes soon roll up in his head. Genji eases him down, making sure he doesn't strike his head on the ground."Nice work," you say, turning back to the computer desk. "Tie him up and search him for comms. If he comes to in time, maybe we'll have a few questions for him. If not, no big loss." That only took about thirty seconds. Athena brings up a progress clock on your HUD. Three minutes and thirty seconds remaining until the upload is complete. Then you just have to get to your exit route and escape. So far you think you're doing pretty well as strike team leader on this mission. You haven't gone chasing off after side objectives or anything. Your calls have gotten everyone past the guards and security measures. For their part, the squad has stuck close by you, and has stayed ready to take down anything that challenges them, but they haven't really been needed. You can't help but laugh, thinking you probably could've done this job by yourself. If nothing else, bringing McCree and the Shimadas along will be a good bonding exercise.Of course, if you'd tripped an alarm and a dozen heavily armored security guards were bearing down on your current position, you'd sure as hell be glad to have them along then, wouldn't you?McCree and Hanzo maintain watch on the door. Genji has tied the executive's hands behind his back with his own belt. You pace back and forth nervously behind the computer desk, watching Athena's countdown clock on your helmet screen. This is fine. Everything is fine. You've got this under control.Three minutes.

Snuffles?"Control's radio-filtered voice sounds puzzled. "Ah, I'm not sure, sir. Don't have much experience with dogs.""Right. Of course." You forgot about that. The executives restrict the lives of their low-ranking employees and security forces in all kinds of ways. Most of it's designed to tighten control, keep the underlings isolated and insulated. But not letting them have pets is just wrong.Well, execs are allowed whatever they want, so it wasn't suspicious. Just rude. Probably in-character for this guy, you think, looking down at the exec in his suit that probably costs five or ten times more than what a poor family makes in a year."Just as long as you're all right, sir," the security coordinator continues. "Very sorry to disturb you.""No problem. Carry on, Control." You hang up."Voice analysis suggests mild suspicion in the human controller," Athena says. "Digital security is at a similar level. We are safe, but the guards may display heightened alertness. Stay on your guard.""They won't violate the privacy of this office without a damn good reason," you say. "But we'll have to be careful on our way to the exit. Do we have a route?"Athena brings up a map, overlaying the projected floorplan from before with what you've actually discovered yourself on the way through the floor. "The hallway outside this room should take you directly there," she says, drawing an arrow in the direction opposite the secure door you just bypassed. You watch as the remainder of the upload progress bar fills up. The timer reaches zero. "Upload complete," Athena says. You hear a groan from the executive on the ground. He begins to stir to life. Regarding this little bastard, you think you will:>Leave him here, tied and gagged.>Bring him with you as a hostage as you head to the exit.>Stick around and ask a few questions. After that:>Head straight for the exit. We're still at 100% stealth, let's keep it that way.>Head for the exit, but keep a lookout for anything valuable. "Hi. We're leaving now. I've erased all the security footage. As far as anyone else knows, we were never here. So if they somehow get our descriptions, we'll know that you tattled on us." You change the smiley face to an angry face. >:( "Nobody likes a tattletale."The exec looks equal parts scared and baffled, his eyes wide, sweat dripping down his forehead. He says, "Mm mff mm.""Was that an "I won't tell"?"The exec nods frantically."Good!" You switch your helmet to display a happy face. :D "I'm glad we had this little chat." As you and Genji join McCree and Hanzo where they wait at the door, you have to mute your helmet for a moment as you let out a giggle about intimidating a high-level corporate executive with emoticons. You get your game face and serious voice back on and unmute yourself. "All right, let's get the hell out of here."You exit the executive's office and head off east down the hallway, staying low and keeping your footsteps quiet. The three other agents follow you, weapons at the ready."Athena, how do we look?""Observation drone and one guard are on my screens to your west. Second guard's chance of interception is minor."As you approach a cross-shaped intersection of hallways, a third guard reveals himself as he exits an office in front of you, directly in your path. Genji and you duck down and crouch motionless in the shadows behind cover, while McCree and Hanzo slip into a nearby office. The guard pauses to look down each hall, shining his flashlight around. "No sign of anything, Control. Not sure what the fuss is about." He listens to the reply on his earpiece, then shrugs. "All right, if the computers say so." He moves on, unknowing that he was barely five feet away from a cybernetic ninja concealed in darkness.(Continued)
Trying to make dinner and quest at the same time here, sorry for the delay.
>>1660283No problem, just post when you can and run this quest until 6:00am EST.
>>1660275You reach a certain office door. "This one, Athena?""Affirmative," she says. "Interior and exterior alarm systems disabled.""Good stuff." You turn to the other three agents and wave them forward. "Inside, gents. Genji, if you'd be so kind?"Entering the office, Genji draws his wakizashi with a flourish. He grips it in both hands and begins tracing it slowly across the window, cutting through the glasteel. The cut is shallow, and makes only a scratching sound that isn't too audible over the background hum of computers and air conditioning. It'll take him longer to do it quietly like this, but he'll get there. In the meantime, you linger by the door, keeping an eye and ear out for anything else--Wait. You do hear something, actually. A woman's voice, coming from one of the offices across the hall. Talking on the phone with someone. She sounds awfully upset. Some office drone in tears from the stress of being forced to work late into the night, probably. Against regulations, but that'll come down on her head if she gets caught, of course, not whatever asshole ordered her to do it."That's not how it was supposed to work," the woman insists. "I never would've agreed to the project if I'd known what they planned to use it for!" A pause, as she listens. "Who cares? I care! That formula was supposed to help those people, not to turn them into -- into that! How can we just stand by and watch this happen?"Okay. No distractions, you tell yourself. The last time you hung around after a mission was complete, it backfired horribly, and almost got Tracer killed. There's no way you're making the same mistake. On the other hand, you've got completely undetected so far. Even if a guard spotted you at this point, you'd have plenty of time to knock him out and escape. "You assured me that the proper safety features would be put into place! Were you complicit in all this from the start? Or are you just parroting the vice president at me right now?" The woman scientist paces back and forth, her other hand raised in a fist as though she wants to hit something. "So you're just accepting this? That our reactor was deliberately left unshielded? That our project was used for this? Those people -- what?" She listens with a growing incredulity. "You can't be serious. My job? Calm down?! I'll show you calm, you son of a bitch!"She hurls the phone against the wall. The screen breaks with a crack. The phone falls to the carpet with a lifeless thump. The woman stares down at it for a few moments, fury on her face, then turns away, wiping away something from her eye. "Oh god ...">Reveal yourself and talk to her.>Walk away. Just another crime to add to the list of the megacorps' sins.
>>1660446>>Walk away. Just another crime to add to the list of the megacorps' sins.
>>1660446>Reveal yourself and talk to her.Do you want to do something about it, lady?
>>1660446>Reveal yourself and talk to her. It;s time to talk anti-business
>>1660446Uhhhh shit. Ok this is a hard call but we could possibly do something, or learn something>Reveal yourself and talk to her.
>>1660446>Reveal yourself and talk to her.
>Walk away. Just another crime to add to the list of the megacorps' sins. It's horrible that the corps would do this, but it isn't deliberate genetic mutation used for combat or anything to hurt people. Just get out.
>>1660446>Reveal yourself and talk to her.Confirm with Athena we have total isolation in this area. This woman could be a very effective mole.
>>1660446>Walk away. Just another crime to add to the list of the megacorps' sins.
>>1660446>Walk away. Just another crime to add to the list of the megacorps' sins.We can't keep doing this.
>>1660446>>Reveal yourself and talk to her.Don't reveal the name of our organization. Don't reveal our codename.Just tell her she's among friends, give her a secured access point address she can use to contact us at some later date, and fade away.Or you can not give a shit, admit that you're part of the Ugly Denim Squad: The New Generation, and do the same--among friends, communicator, bing bang boom.
>>1660446>>Reveal yourself and talk to her.a mole in the megacorp would be nice
>>1660446>Just grab her and jet we ain't got time for this
>>1660462While your proposition is a good one, any mole in enemy territory, let alone a citizen with nothing to defend herself or escape with, could easily be leveraged against us if the execs found out. Given the tight security of these places, they probably would get her in a month, tops.
>Walk away. Just another crime to add to the list of the megacorps' sins.
>>1660480She doesn't have to be a mole. She can give us a clue. I think it's out of character to ignore this sort of thing given why he actually got into the business.
>>1660491When has Seeker ever been satisfied with just a clue? We don't have time for a full conversation, and my Admiral Ackbar senses are going through the roof right now.
>>1660446>Reveal yourself and talk to her.Time for conscription
>>1660496I think it's worth the risk and I believe Seeker would think so as well.We could ignore all trouble if we ignored possible plot hooks and hid in a closet as well. Sometimes you have to take risks.
>>1660502Last time we took a risk Tracer nearly died.
>>1660505Doesn't mean stop taking risks, means stop taking stupid risks
>>1660505Are these situations identical? That was pointless. It was anons hoping a waifu would descend from the heavens. This is overhearing a conversation about megacorp crime and moving to get more info.
>>1660446>>Reveal yourself and talk to her.
>>1660511Again the longer we are here the higher the chances are of us being caught. I'd like to know what the megacorps are doing as well but we can't afford that risk right now.
>>1660519I disagree. We've been given an excellent opportunity and we've managed to stay quiet this far. While we're constantly at the mercy of the dice we have still delayed alarms so worst case scenario we can just leave. We've already got the goods.
I don't think that revealing ourselves is necessarily going to do any good here. We probably already have enough information to go take care of this reactor before something terrible happens.
>>1660506This is not a smart risk. If we were on the street or in neutral territory fuck yeah I would talk to her about it. As it stands now we are as deep in enemy territory as you can get. She seems like she would help if she could, but:A. >>1660480B. While she seems like a good person, she might not have the courage and doesn't have the espionage training to help us.C. Note her language when she talks about her involvement. "That's not how it was supposed to work," the woman insists. "I never would've agreed to the project if I'd known what they planned to use it for!" This woman has no intention of joining a top.secret corp. weapons project. She's a civil nuclear engineer. There is nothingnto be gained here but a peck on the cheek for being a sexy vigilante do gooder like Seeker.
>>1660523worst case scenario is having to fight the guards and them calling for back up. We haven't jammed their comms so they can still say there is intruders. It isn't worth it at the moment.
>>1660532I'm confident in our abilities to power through the handful of guards here and exit before things get too serious.
>>1660538They'll have our descriptions and know who we are. One tracker on the Aurora and we're boned, kiddo.
>>1660532and what about the dice for fighting them? It's a stupid risk to take and somebody is gonna get hurt be it us or the others. We came here to get information off that terminal and get out let's stick to what we planned to do.
>>1660544They won't know who we are, you shouldn't assume they'll automatically have a tracker on the Aurora. The descriptions may not be accurate.>>1660549They're mooks. I doubt there DC will be too terrible. We're not going to have a massive response force or something in seconds. The alarms etc are delayed. We paid for the upgrade we can fall back on it.
>>1660556We could have another Africa incident, and nobody has an ultimate to bail us out. The alarms are a good point, but the guy could yell for help. That aside, this isn't about losing a fight, it's about not starting an info war we can't win.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kgOwwwlhkD8
>>1660556>They're mooks. I doubt there DC will be too terrible.Last time we fought mooks, Tracer almost got killed.
>>1660446>Reveal yourself and talk to her.Sounds like a potential recruit to me. Play it cool and mysterious for now though.
>>1660571The Africa incident happened because we got a shit roll after charging a MG equipped robot. I doubt that such a thing is going to be deployed into their corporate offices, at the very least to prevent property damage.>>1660573That might have something to do with the fact they weren't mooks, don't ya think?
>>1660571At the moment we've seen nothing to suggest we need an ultimate to bail us out. It's all speculation.>>1660573That was after attempting to chat with people we'd been fighting moments before. Don't get me wrong, I understand that this could go south, but that incident is literally: You're in a warzone, people have just engaged you, do you leave or stand around for no particular reason.
>>1660573That's not an average mook though. That's elite Helix and we vote to run away not fight.
>>1660573Those weren't mooks. Those were dudes preped with specially made weapons designed to take her down.
>>1660446You stand up. The scientist notices the movement in the darkness, and takes a step back. "I-is someone there? Is that security?""No. Just happened to be passing by." You step out of the shadows, your hands raised. The woman gasps in surprise. "Take it easy. I'm not going to hurt you." You think about displaying an emote on your helmet, but now's probably not the time. The woman steps back, fighting panic. Her eyes flicker around the room, probably looking for something she can do to raise the alarm. "Wh-what do you want?""Happened to hear your conversation," you say. "Sounds like Lucheng used you. It's not the first time they've put new technology to their own selfish purposes. Even if the innocent get hurt from it.""Oh, god. Those people --" The woman turns away, composing herself, then looks back at you, her expression hardening. "What are you supposed to be, then? Some kind of anti-corporate freedom fighter? Here to do a little sabotage? Burn down some offices, make yourself feel like you're fighting the good fight?" "A few months ago, that's exactly what I was. Now I'm something better. Or trying to be, at least."She folds her arms, skeptical. "Don't you think the mask and jacket are a little much?""Just enough, if you ask me. Anyway. Let's just say I'm someone who sticks up for the little guy. And to be honest I'm sick with all the waifu crap, Seeker getting a girlfriend can wait for later. As for me I simply think Phara's the best choice out of the lot, but hey it's not like Seeker HAS to girlfriend. PS: Yes I know you guys do it while we wait for the OP but can it not be in the threads please.
This is the first live I have ever caught. Am so excited, love you king
>>1660634This guys gets it. Of all the things you can talk about like strategy base development Seeker's load out all I see getting talked about are waifus. And the quest suffers for it example Egypt: Anons banking on getting a waifu and made a stupid decision.
>>1660634It's a quest, most anons here have never spoken to a woman in real life, they're inevitably gonna rush for waifus. It happens in every quest, you have to learn to deal with it.
>>1660639If they wanna talk about waifus take it to the fucking discord. Stop shitting up the thread. Fuck dude, I love me some waifus too, but everything in moderation.
>>1660639If they want to waifu they should at least think with their heads not their dickheads. Nothing wrong with waifu-ing but if waifu-ing causes anons to make bad decisions
Perhaps Raven should make a strawpoll down the line for which waifu we want (including option for harem) and hold runoffs until only one waifu remains
Alright villain status (What the heck, auto correct put in Gillian status)Doomfist: Still in prison... most likely, hopefully, we are in no way ready to face this beast of a boss yet, and won't be for a very long time.Reaper, Widow, Sombra: All active in the field making our lives harderAnubis: Still shattered but slowly recollecting himself.Megacorps: Doing what they usually do, whatever it is they do.
>>1660650I know for a fact there are people here who want a harem.
>>1660647>Nothing wrong with waifu-ing but if waifu-ing causes anons to make bad decisionsI know, right? It's more realistic this way.
>>1660638Just going to point this out, if you want us to discuss those things then actually bring them up. Ask questions and shit rather than bitching and moaning that we ain't discussing it.>>1660640Why shouldn't we discuss it here during the break between posts? It's better than the thread being dead.>>1660647Ignoring the one african incident which to be frank I wasn't there for, it hasn't done us any harm.>>1660648Or we could actually play the damn quest and see what happens.
>>1660648Straw polls are shit.
>>1660652>DoomfistWe should probably steal his glove before Tlaon. And use it ourselfs.
>>1660655>Ignoring the one african incident which to be frank I wasn't there for, it hasn't done us any harm.So you honestly believe it won't happen again?
>>1660653Raven already stated both in thread and in discord there will be no harem
I don't think it'll be a strawpoll. As much as I reeeally want Pharah, my money is on Tracer given all the attention she gets. A harem is out of the question though you sick fucks.
>>1660661When did I ever say that?Look anons will make dumb decisions for many reasons, at least Waifu's are something that could actually have a reward rather than them doing dumb shit for aesthetic reasons.I will however state that chances are it won't happen again since they should now understand that even if OP says they might meet their waifu, it's probably a trap.
Should we make a large scale expedition / mission and have everyone or most of the new overwatch raid one of the golden age vaults we got our gear from?Suddenly this has me thinking of the Vault of Glass from Destiny 1, for some reason. I'd laugh if we actually have to fight through the Vex while in the vault. Then a fireteam of guardians make a cameo, anhilate the boss, and leave all in the span of a minute.
>>1660668Oh dang a vault raid mission needs to happen
>>1660668>golden age vaultsthis is very difficult to do but I'm willing to give it a shot
>>1660668If we have to fight Vex as non-Guardians, we are FUCKED.
>>1660671We soloed them. Plus there is nobody to interfere with us since people ignore the vaults
So when are we bullying dva
>>1660678we did when we invaded her live stream a dozen or so threads ago
>>1660678Depends on Raven's portrayal.
>>1660678Probably the next time she live-streams
>>1660678we already have in her stream chat.
>>1660678As soon as she shows up and every time afterward.
We pull a Cheese05 and leave long, obnoxious donator messages during tense moments
One minute we're talking about raiding a vault, the next we're talking about bullying D.Va, I wonder what's next.
>>1660688Bruh>>1660690Raven's next post?
>>1660664>Thinking Tracer will win the SeekerbowlI don't think so Cheezbeargur man, it's anyone's game>>1660690Another Godmind showing up to help/fuck us?
>>1660693>Inb4 Crossover with that god mind quest
>>1660691I don't condone this action if D.Va is about to get a 1:39
>>1660693Pharah is the supreme qt, but most things point to Tracer right now
Here's a terrifying thought for our quest, what if one of the megacorps is working on a super virus that can be control similar to Manticore in CoD AW and suddenly we have a pandemic / plague inc scenario (I know this will very likely never happen but hey it's just a random thought)
>>1660705Could be, a deperate race to stop the virus before it was sold on the black market.
>>1660703I too support the Pharah Initiative.
>>1660705Haven't played AW, what's the Manticore virus?
Also, out of curiousity Raven what's plan with "the rival", is s/he still a thing, or should everyone just forget about it?
>>1660708Heyo>>1660710Sombrero or Symmetra?
Am I the only person who wants to lewd the mei
>>1660709Is a virus that once released will kill anyone that doesn't have a friendly IFF tag for the people controlling it. In the game's case that was Atlas.maybe we should include them in this quest, maybe we'll meet with Kevan Spacey or whatever his name is
>>1660719So Nanomachines Son ?
>>1660714Seems like it. The Mei is more of a ball of fluff that you poke and watch because it is cute. Like one of the pets on an anime.>>1660713I think it'll be Sombro and Symmetra.
>>1660703>>1660708For me it's either Pharah or Mercy, either of them win the Seekerbowl I'll be happy>>1660714You're all alone regarding this>>1660726I say it's school shooter all grown up is the one who WANTS to be the rival. But it's either Widow or Doomfist
And we're back to waifus
>>1660714Mei is cute and certainly wife material.
>>1660730Reaper doesn't like us enough to be a rival, and Widow and Doomfist just like to keel sheit. The only other non-good characters left are Sym and Sombrero
>>1660731If it's such a fucking problem to you, start another talking point for conversation. Otherwise leave us be.
>>1660714I want to lewd a Mei, But it so far doesn't make any sense. So I support Mereker
>>1660735What's the point? It all flows back to waifu anyway. So I'll take the second option
>>1660736it's Sercy, dumdum
>>1660741 You imply Mercy is bottom in bed after all the shit she puts up during the day.
>>1660714If their is any ship for mei it's gonna be this
>>1660696i would hope not at least not an actual crossover, possible mention of the MC having been killed during the crisis mite be cool though
>>1660745Thats actually adorable, But would that even work?
>>1660744Clearly she's a sadist. Also a song I've had an addiction to since I recently heard it to and it feels...appropriate.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZMGVLar3pc

>>1660584"All right," you say. "Listen. Whatever Lucheng is doing with your research. We can do something about it. This is going to sound crazy, but--""Hold on just a moment," interrupts the scientist. "I recognize you. You're that boy running around with those renegades. The superhero team. Overwatch, wasn't it?""Guilty as charged," you say. "How do you know about that? I thought the big shots were keeping Corpnet news on lockdown for their--" pets, you're about to say, but don't-- "valued employees?""We don't all just accept everything the official vids tell us about the world, you know. Some of us even know how to access the darkweb.""Really? I thought people had to be chipped to reach your rank.""We are," she says, pulling back her hair to reveal the signs of a brain implant. "But they're not infalliable.""Damn," you say. "You hacked your chip. Gutsy move.""Anyway," she says, letting her hair fall. "I've heard that Overwatch is active again. I've seen the civilian photos that are suppressed on the Corpnet. The titan in Kurjikstan. The Shimada clan in Japan. The rampancy outbreak in Africa. You guys are the real deal." She hesitates, then blurts out, "I want to help.""Funny you should say that. I was just thinking that our headquarters is understaffed by at least one physicist." You gesture at the broken phone on the ground. "From that call, it sounds like you're out of a job. I'd like to offer you a new one."You reach out your hand, palm up. She hesitates, biting her lip, then steps forward and takes your hand. "What the hell. Let's get out of here."You lead her to the door, quickly looking down both directions of the shadowed hallway to confirm it's still empty, then across, to the office where you'll have to try and explain this to your teammates.(Continued)
>>1660758>You're that boy running around with those renegades. The superhero team. OverwatchBoy?
>>1660758"Howdy, ma'am," McCree says, tipping his hat, unfazed."What," says Hanzo. "Is this?" He's definitely fazed."She can help, and she's got reason to hate the corps. We're bringing her back with us." Hanzo rubs his beard. "You do realize bringing a corporate scientist back to your little clubhouse might have consequences? How do you know she isn't a spy? Or perhaps she has a computer chip in her head that will tell them where she is.""I trust her," you say. "And the chip's taken care of. I don't want to argue this. We've got to go, now.""You "don't want to argue"? You audacious little pup--""Brother," Genji says, still facing the window as he continues to cut. "We should help her."Hanzo hrmphs and looks away. That seems to settle it, at least for now."When are ya finished there, Genji?" asks McCree."Right now," Genji says. He sheathes his wakizashi and carefully removes the circle of glass from the window, then casually hops through the hole and perches on the narrow ledge just outside, as though he weren't facing an 80-floor drop just below him."And you're sure you can reattach this with no-one the wiser?" you ask Genji."It's an old Shimada trick," he says.(Continued)
>>1660758You know if we had some security uniforms, we could leave thought the front door by saying that the physicist had been retrenched and we're escorting her out (with all her documents) and not coming back
>>1660761>"It's an old Shimada trick," he says.WHAT IS YOUR CLAN.
>>1660761You look at Hanzo. "Sorry, pal. You can get mad at me later if you want. For now, if you'd be so kind--?" You indicate the opening in the window.Hanzo scowls and moves to the window. He draws a special arrow from his quiver, aims carefully, and looses. The arrow streaks towards the closest building of a simlar height, a 75-floor apartment building across a wide boulevard lit up with traffic. As it flies, the arrow trails behind it a thin rope of black silksteel. You magnify your helmet's vision and watch the arrow embed itself in the rooftop.Hanzo passes the other end of the line outside to Genji, who attaches it to the building's exterior. The seal affixes itself tightly, lighting up with three blue dots to indicate a successful seal. The archer tugs on the rope a few times, testing its tautness, then nods. "Ready.""Haven't done this in a while," McCree says, attaching the harness on his belt to the rope. He steps up to the big circular hole in the window and takes a deep breath. "Hoo boy. I shouldn'ta looked down. Ain't nothin' for it now. Here goes. Yeehaw!"McCree jumps out the window. The harness carries him as he slides down the rope, ziplining between buildings eighty stories in the air. You watch him get smaller as he gets farther away, then disappear into the shadows of the opposite roof."Oof!" you hear him say over your helmet's comm. "Didn't quite stick the landing there. Rooftop looks clear, though. Come on over, kid."You finish attaching your harness to the zipline, then once again hold out your hand to the scientist. "Hold on to me."Her eyes are wide with something in between terror and excitement as she steps close to you and puts her arms around your chest. Taking a firm hold around her waist with one arm, you hold onto the zipline with the other and approach the window.SOmething occurs to you, and you look at the scientist in your arm. "What's your name?""Carroll," She says. "Doctor Maeve Carroll.""Maeve," you say. "I like it. All right, Maeve. Don't be afraid. And don't let go. Okay?"She nods, holding onto you tightly. You take a quick few steps and leap out into the air. For that one instant before the rope catches your weight, you feel that sickening plunge of free-fall, and your body believes it's about to plunge the eighty stories to that street far, far below. Then your weight catches, and you begin to slide smoothly down the zipline, your harness whirring as it feeds the silksteel line through. Fear turns to exaltation, and a grin grows on your face behind your mask, though you feel a little sorry for Maeve, whom you can dimly hear shrieking in your ear.The air rushes past as you speed through the night sky, away from the lights of the Hyde Global building and towards the freedom of the shadows.

>>1660773Thanks for running, Raven>"Howdy, ma'am," McCree says, tipping his hat, unfazed.>"Haven't done this in a while," McCree says, attaching the harness on his belt to the rope. He steps up to the big circular hole in the window and takes a deep breath. "Hoo boy. I shouldn'ta looked down. Ain't nothin' for it now. Here goes. Yeehaw!"McCree is so best.
>>1660773Thanks for running mate, next quest is Nightmare or Thug?
>>1660766>>1660773thanks for running, OP!
>>1660764The same kind of mentality as what made the QM of From Ashes To Gold accept using "Trust me, I'm a Doctor." as our go-to catchphrase.>>1660745This is something I can support. I just want it to look more...traditional I guess? I just always picture Hanzo in more of a formal kimono/haori/obi outfit. That looks like a nice modern take on a cheongsam for Mei though.>>1660751Symmetra X Science>>1660773THANKS FOR RUNNING!
>>1660807Eh. Not a big fan.
>>1660807>Maybe a detective or security officer sent out to investigate the rumors of this "New Overwatch". He would be highly augmented genetically and mechanically, receiving them from his boss, The CEO, after a major security breach by talon that would have him left a cripple for life or dead.>His personality would be calm, perceptive, persuasive, serious, tactical, and very intelligent. >He would prefer a stealthy approach, and while absolutely brutal in combat, he refuses to kill us less left with no other options.Wow, gotta hand it to you, that's a pretty original character, anon. Nice work.
>>1660807Yeah, it seems kinda uninspired. He's not MC, so there isn't going to be a significant amount of time to develop him, seems a bit 2D, and is specifically built to counter us in every way. Part of the reason Overwatch works, be it game or story, is that no one character acts as a total counter to another, with every aspect being dominated or dwarfed.
Let me just address this by saying I do indeed have plans for "rival" characters. Yes, that's characters, plural. I can't go into details, clearly, because I'm not about to spoil it for you. But know that I do have plans.
>>1660812>reference>I don't give a crap if it's not completely original. There's referencing something and there's taking the synopsis and wholesale ripping it off. Let me guess, he "did not ask for this"?
>>1660810Now i just keep imagining Adam Jensen in the Overwatch universe and how he would react to it.
so... nobody got killed, we managed to get surprisingly lucky, and Brigitte will probably be happy about not being the only non-badass.I think I like Maeve... here's to hoping nothing bad happens next thread!or if it does then hopefully we get our insane luck back from the early days.
>>1660807It isn't a good Rival if we already know everything about them.
>>1660655Because this is quest you idiot. Threads don't have post for a week and are still alive. Also it makes people that catch the thread after the fact or on the archive have to go through more shit.
>>1661046>Because this is quest you idiot. Really I never noticed!>Threads don't have post for a week and are still alive. That is more so because we are on /qst/ and that isn't what alive means in this context.>Also it makes people that catch the thread after the fact or on the archive have to go through more shit.Oh such sorrow for them. They have to experience the thoughts and ideas of their fellow players rather than it being lost in a discord they might no longer be able to access. Woe is them. Also, I've read through literally hundreds of archived threads and never once thought to complain about such shit. Discussion / anon creativity makes the threads more interesting.
>>1661064And this one has a discord promoted by the QM for the creativity. But if you are so scared to have a face put to your shit ideas by all means stay off it.
>>1661065>And this one has a discord promoted by the QM for the creativity. I am aware of the Discord. That is why I remarked about it. It could come with a two grand joining bonus and chances are I'd still not use it. >But if you are so scared to have a face put to your shit ideas by all means stay off it.That must be why you post this shit here. Also ignoring the fact that you've gave no examples of shit ideas, still better than the complete lack of creativity I've seen from you this entire thread.
>>1661064Also just because you don't mind wading through 40 post to just to find the quest doesn't mean others don't.>>1661068All the spoiler text, tragedy post, the big rival that just got deleted.
>>1661069>Also just because you don't mind wading through 40 post to just to find the quest doesn't mean others don't.And? From what I have seen people such as yourself who care are in the minority.Especially since most QM's use names and you can highlight their posts. So this is literally a non-issue.>All the spoiler text, tragedy post, the big rival that just got deleted.Nope, nope and nope. All of these are from other ID's and thus I can't believe your claim to them.
>>1661070Also I assume you are talking about >>1660807. Not whatever was in >>1660807 since I didn't see that.
>>1661072Just noticed those are the same link. So aye, your ID is different and thus I must assume you are lying.
>>1661073Do you have mental issues? All those things are from different people.
>>1661076Oh I thought you were giving them as examples of your creativity. What you were doing was calling them shit ideas? Well that I must very much so disagree with. The spoilers and tragedy posts were funny / interesting and the Rival post was someone actually trying to be creative and constructive. Something I've seen hide nor hair of evidence of you doing.
>>1661078Because I keep it all on the discord.
>>1661080Well that is lovely but for all I know you are lying. What I do know is this, I ain't changing my ways and that you are a very sad and strange person.
>>1661068>That must be why you post this shit here....What? You want him to tell people to use the Discord and stop shitting up the thread... on the Discord?>>1661078>Tragedy posts>were funny / interestingWell that right there is hilarious in and of itself. The Rival post was hardly creative in any way. The description of him was ripped straight from Deus Ex, and none of the stats or abilities were anything special. One of them was basically Hanzo's Sonar Arrow but with a knife, and the Ult was a terrible version of a Reaper ability that wasn't nearly an ult. He wasn't designed as a character, he was designed as, as someone else said, just a counter to Seeker. It was terrible and just ripping a whole bunch of things off and stuffing it into one character.
>>1661089>...What? You want him to tell people to use the Discord and stop shitting up the thread... on the Discord? No, I am saying his is a terrible idea and logic.>Well that right there is hilarious in and of itself. The Rival post was hardly creative in any way. The description of him was ripped straight from Deus Ex, and none of the stats or abilities were anything special. He wasn't designed as a character, he was designed as, as someone else said, just a counter to Seeker. It was terrible and just ripping a whole bunch of things off and stuffing it into one character.Oh I entirely agree but the simple fact is it is better than what I've seen come from WHP+p7xX's contributions. That being approximately six to seven posts of bitching and moaning about people having fun in a way that he doesn't like. As in posting creative content to the thread for all.
>>1661069Nigger press Control+F on your fucking keyboard then copy and paste the qm's trip into the fucking box and stop whinging like some spoiled child about needing to read on a forum.>>>1661080> the discord which is not actually part of the thread and as such won't be archived for anyone that wants the thought processes behind our decisions and will inevitably detract from the quest like Banished's IRC did either by distracting the qm or attracting autistic faggots like yourself.>>1661089while i agree that the rival post was utter shit. this is 4 chan and the tragedy/shadowrun posts were at the very least contributing to the thread and this might just be the fact that i am from poland but i found the tragedy posts vaguely amusing
>>1661090Using the thing specifically created to give anons a seperate place to discuss ideas and waifus and stop shitting up the thread for it's actual intended purpose is a terrible idea and logic?
>>1661092You can discuss decisions without constantly hammering on about stupid, unrelated shit. Even so, no one actually gives a shit about your thought process.
>>1661095>Using the thing specifically created to give anons a separate place to discuss ideas and waifus and stop shitting up the thread for it's actual intended purpose is a terrible idea and logic?Well seeing as we aren't "shitting up" the thread but are simply enjoying ourselves and discussing stuff, yes it is a terrible logic. As to that being the Discord's official purpose, I could not care. /qst/ runs so slowly that it doesn't hurt the thread to discuss shit here.
>>1661100>You can discuss decisions without constantly hammering on about stupid, unrelated shit. Characters that are in the quest are unrelated?>Even so, no one actually gives a shit about your thought process. Then why should we give a singular fuck about your opinions? Hell I'll go out of my way now to discuss this shit since it pisses you off so badly.
>>1661102The only person mad here is you if anyone is. Rest of us are having a chuckle.>>1661092>the discord that anyone can join to see
>>1661102>I don't give a fuck about your opinions>I'm going to do this because you have a low opinion of itThat's not quite how it works, sadly.
>>1661105>The only person mad here is you if anyone is. I am far from angry. That would require I gave a damn beyond a vague feeling of annoyance similar to needing to scratch a hard to get part of my back or such low level things.>Rest of us are having a chuckle.I assume that you mean the Discord?>>1661108You can do something because you know it will piss someone off, because you enjoy them getting pissed and not care for their opinions. I can understand if you are having some sort of mental difficulty separating the two actions but imagine what those of us with more than one brain cell can do.
>>1661101Have you even participated in this quest? It seems like literally all you do here is jerk off to waifus.
>>1661116I assume the others reading the thread at laughing at this shit flinging.
>>1661116Way to show how not-mad you are. By slinging insults.>>1661120I know I am. And shamelessly indulging myself while I'm at it.
>>1661119I was asleep until fairly late in to the session but I have been here since thread one. I suggested becoming a magnetic / gravitic wizard and various other such things.>>1661120That or they are laughing at your autism. Probably both.
>>1661124>Way to show how not-mad you are. By slinging insults.I honestly can't feel mad currently. Too tired to do so.The insults are just appropriate to the exchange since I see no reason not to try and antagonise / insult you.
>>1661126>Probably both. All part of the show, my man.>>1661128By all means, be my guest, keep it up. It's actually pretty funny.
You know this is like watching a train crash, you don't want to watch, but you can't look away.
>>1661150It happens every once in awhile, nothing to be concerned really.
>>1661150I can relate, but I've seen worse
>>1661064Random anon bullshittery was one of my favorite things to see in shadow quest/hmq archives.
>>1661126>implying everyone on /qst/ of all places isn't an autistI mean I'm fine with anons discussing stuff actually. But when it reaches so many post it feels like a chat room and discord serves that purpose.
>>1661046>>1661069Guys guys guys can we all just take a second to appreciate the sheer retardation that is these two posts that had me so flabbergasted i just HAD to respond to them?>>1661194what.. i just can't even dude
>>1661196Sorry you can't understand English anon. If you'd like I can clarify anything for you.
If you guys are going to play sneaky all the time, then you really should recruit Lucio. Mercy is nice, but Lucio is better support for these missions.>black belt in capoeira martial art so he can hold his own in a hand to hand fight>has experience in stealth and infiltration >a hacker and an engineer( canonically he hacked and repurposed sonic technology so instead of suppressing people It rallied them )>high mobility (seriously the stuff he can do with wallriding is insane)>master acrobat and gymnast>probably has good charisma>can heal multiple people at the same time AND speed them up for a quick retreat
>>1661203We have Lucio on the team. He is just out doing concerts for rep and money.
>>1661203Right.. but.. isn't his healing bound to music? It'd be nice to have our theme song, but the idea is being quiet.
>>1661198dude what i am getting at is your post was intrinsically missing the point of what 4chan IS actually almost all of your posts that i have responded to do, i can't believe i am asking this but are you new to the site anon? because if so i hate to break this to you 4chan is pretty much a giant chatroom and image sharing site with various boards to separate topics of conversation and culture, trying to suggest that chatting with another anon on 4chan is somehow wrong which is what you implied by the way i figure i should point that out. since you cannot seem to grasp basic English. let alone logic, the fact of the matter is this is NOT spacebattles or reddit or SV or any other place where there are fucking Nazis limiting the amount of posts you can make per thread or even the content of those posts or lack thereof.there is fun to be had in every post TLDNR: Lurk Moar faggot
>>1661213With that formatting I think you need to lurk more.
So completely unrelated to the current discussions.Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't one our aircrafts have sensor for finding trackers and such?I was wondering if those things are up-to-date, I mean who knows how old those things are. And it wouldn't suprise me if Talon/some Corporation have come up with trackers that are undetectable to our current sensors. Should we invest in upgrading them?
>>1661215We're allowed to post here. It's.. the purpose of a thread.>>1661217Possibly? It's never been brought up before. Talon does know where we operate though don't they? They've attacked the base once and if we're moving in and out of old overwatch base they're going to know about them.(If not Widowmaker then Reyes.)
>>1661219Yeah I'm saying it is fine to talk and discuss here. But do we really need to have conversation about waifus #72? Like there is no real problem with posting, it just fills the thread with useless clutter sometimes. Like this whole conversation.>>1661213Also technically there is a sage limit.
>>1661224Why the hell not? People like waifus. It's not as if Raven is trapped in one thread. He can start a new one next time he runs.
>>1661219Yeah I refreshed my memory. It seems Winston has put some sweepers in the Aurora, so they should be up-to-date.I DO think we should invest in some anti-invisibility upgrade for our base or the aircrafts just so we don't get fucked over by some cloacked a-holes.
>>1661225People are free to talk about it all they want. Doesn't mean the topic is just going in circles and doesn't even relate to what is going on in the quest at the moment.>>1661228Cloaking is pretty rare. Also we already have a radar in base and I don't think invisibility helps with that,
>>1661230...Fair points. I guess I'm just being paranoid.
>>1661224this board moves so slowly that threads can stay in autosage for weeks
>>1661217You know there are probably more tech vaults we could break into to get our hands on some better software ESPECIALLY with athena helping us datamine
You do have the right to post here and yes anons do want to read the creative thought process of anons BUT when 90% of things being discussed is waifus there we have a problem. Do you think archive anons want to wade through hundreds of post promoting or roasting of waifus? No, they want to read some actual meaningful discussion like the ones at the early thread. How can they enjoy creative thought process of anons when it's all overshadowed by waifu? That is what >>1661076 is trying to say. But apparently some people are content on making it hard for anons to find an actual meaningful discussion.
Idea: what if we had a mission where Seeker gets captured by Talon, then has to escape them without assistance. What would the best course of action anons?
>>1662307Depends on a lot of things. >Location of where Seeker's held>Method of our imprisonment >Current equipment when we get captured But the basic should be staying hidden and getting our gear back. Then either sneak out ourselves or calling for back up
>>1661923I'd point out that in my experience of reading quests based on material I've never even read, I still enjoyed reading anons talk about Waifu's because that is funny and interesting.
>>1662421What does the base material have to do with it? Also I didn't realize watching people say the same thing over and over for months at a time is funny.
>>1662484Because I would find it harder to care about which waifu they want to go for or any creative writings / posts regarding them if I know nothing of the characters and shit.As to your other comment, better than watching you bitch and moan that is for sure.
>>1662421You might enjoy reading it but there are others including future archive readers who might not enjoy reading people roasting or promoting waifus in the same way over and over again. Saying YOU like doing this adds nothing to the argument.
>>1662500Then maybe you should shut up if you don't want us to point out the flaw of this action and the degrading impact it has on future anons reading experience or otherwise as you so distastefully call it "Bitching and moaning"
>>1662503There is a very important word in your sentence there: might. Your argument is based off of your experience and mine is based off of mine. I would point out that more of us have discussed shit like this in thread and enjoyed doing so than seemingly are bitching about it.>>1662515Maybe you should shut up since it is a literal non-issue and...wait why in the fuck am I actually bothering to respond, you can do fuck all to stop me and I gain nothing by doing this.Fuck it, I have better shit to do. I'll leave you to bitch and moan.
Posting something nice to end the thread on a positive.
>>1662583Let me help
>>1662583Given he is younger than almost every OW girl.
HEY GUYS, I HAVE A BRILLIANT IDEA! How about we talk about other things like ideas we have, what the villains might be doing, character loadouts, filler chapter suggestions, anything you want to I think the silent majority, myself included is more than a bit tired of seeing all the waifu aurgments, every now and then is fine, the problem is it never seems to stop, ever.
>>1662583Thanks for running OP
>>1660724No it's some kind of genetic virus, it's been a while since I've last looked at the story so maybe it is nanomachines
>>1662622you're just salty your waifu isn't winning
>>1662668I don't have a waifu
