Thread 3
>> 1451933

You are the Courier, with dreams of establishing a new American Empire in the blasted irradiated wasteland, the path you and your followers have tread has not been an easy one. At much peril to yourself, you ventured forth into the crashed alien vessel attacking BigMT and, after rescuing an Old World Chinese settlement within, smashed your way into the alien command center with a mighty Chinese tank, before returning to your settlement.

Your settlement meanwhile, at high cost but with high spirits, defeated and fended off a Legion assault to retake Cottonwood Cove, once again securing their freedom, as the survivors continue to strive on for the fallen and rebuild.

Much needed to be decided after that. You recruited numerous companions to your service, convincing them to go to Cottonwood Cove and aid in the efforts there. Then you returned once more to BigMT to decide what to do with the right arm you lost, as well as going to your brain where you needed help in resolving a major internal debate about the future of your nation, coming to a tentative, if based on compromise, resolution.

>Last Thread – Civ Action: Bring the Companions! + Crafting Station (Bonus!)
You decide to recruit four of your known companions.

Ares - the Airforce Android, comes along after you had repaired her and established companion protocol, bringing with her Gatling Laser and incredible robotic strength and toughness. She can pilot a Vertibird and any other Old World American aircraft you manage to restore. She was previously repairing her F80 Shooting Star jetcraft parked in Fort Nellis, although it was currently a dead end due to a lack of sufficient aircraft parts.

Veronica - brings along her favorite weapon, a pair Ballistic Fists, as well as a pair of Combat Armor MK2. In addition she brings her intelligent mind at old world science, particularly that of technology and electronics.

Raul - brings with him his wrench and multi-toolkit, a wizard at repairing conventional technology and old world robotics, he’s not as scientifically or program minded as Veronica or yourself, but a master of repairing circuits, hydraulics, and battery packs. A genius at jury rigging matched only by you he can repair almost he can understand and has the right parts for.

>You also convince him to transfer his workshop, which with the help of your followers you carry by foot over the wasteland, equipment by equipment, giving you a substantial boost.

+Raul’s Workshop! – Much better than a normal one, contains all of Raul’s little tricks tips and bits for repairing of a wide variety of objects. He can repair any of the Courier’s known equipment up to 100% (with some necessary jury rigging for advanced designs) and gives a bonus to repair actions.

>Raul has automatically repaired your damaged Armor and Weapons from the BigMT battle, including your Remanant Power Armor

Rose of Sharon Cassidy - This was an admittedly risky decision to bring her along, you know right well she’s being hunted down by the vengeful caravans after the trouble she caused them in revealing their monopoly schemes to the NCR, who took harsh measures against them and enacted strict trade laws. You don’t know how long the caravans will find out about her being with you, after you told her to lay low and now bring her to your settlement, but she does bring along with her a savvy survival sense, her tribal heritage bringing with her familiar hunting rifle that might a well part of her and just about as an expert as anyone in wasteland survival and hunting (except perhaps Boone).
>>
>>1469131
I think we had solved the arm situation. We settled on Biological arms for both us and Willow
>>
>Hero Action – Get back our Arm + Bring back some of the BigMT Loot

>Vote: Upgrade the Monocyte Breeder
The Doc says to let him scan your Monocyte Breeder Implant, then to return to him in about few weeks or so, during which time you help Raul ferry his workshop while also scavenging BigMT for plasma rifles and laser weapons to bring to your settlement, storing them in the, still intact, southern armory along with the necessary ammo.

Last but not least, you decide to bring the Sierra Madre Vending machine from the abandoned Brotherhood Bunker, storing it in Cottowood Cove.

It is currently limited to a known set list of items.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sierra_Madre_vending_machine

Furthermore, requires Steel / Metal + Fission Materials and a user who knows how to produce Sierra Madre Chips to function. The average human can only hold Fission Batteries, other fissile materials will pose radiation risks. Currently it’s a non-action to produce individual items for your Courier, but to supply an entire settlement will require a Civ’s worth of material, as well you are limited to the one machine for now.

Dialogue

>Brain
“I’m glad you’re deciding to stick with elements of my plan for now, remember I just need you to solve your base’s food and medical problems and then return to me with the good news. I don’t think you’ll be able to do that with one machine, but it’s going to help and buy time for you to upgrade those farms.”

>Raul
“I can produce those chips you want Boss, plus I’m a lot more resistant to rads than most. If you can get me some other radioactive stuff like old car batteries I can use that to make chips. I still gotta make em by hand right now though boss, so it takes time.”

>Veronica
“Perhaps if you were to find us some radiation protective suits, I could help Raul make more of them. If I don’t get bored out of my skull making chips every day.”
>>
Remember that settlement stats are relevant to the total number of population deployed/living in a base.

So for example, a settlement with a tiny pop that has (Abundant Firearms) counts as (Tiny-Firearms) for a much larger settlement. Conversely a Huge Settlement that has (Small-Firearms) can share and provide (Abundant-Firearms) to a tiny settlement.

Meanwhile, the Repconn site has a wide abundance of Electronic Parts, thanks to Jason Bright and Chris Haversam, both of which have long since departed. There's a wide array of electronics, especially of the kind needed to repair Black Mountain Radio.

Raul with the help of other companions salvage the legion melee weapons. As a bonus they also salvage and repair the Legion Armor as well.

The Courier stocks himself up on all his supplies, ready to be the killing machine of the Mojave once more.

You wake up out of the AutoDoc, shaking off the anesthetic.

You look down to your right, and see your arm. It's there again alright, feels normal, fingers move fine.

Only problem is its visibly. . .weaker than your left arm. The look of an average human arm makes it seem skeletal in comparison to your left arm which resemebles an average persons thigh.

"Darn, sorry about that son. Must have gotten something off with the muscular regeneration settings. My scans indicate your arm is fully healed and normal. I guess it just reverted back to human baseline. You've still got yer adamantium skeleton underneath.

The Courier, with the usual amount of fun and glee, starts turning Ghoul Heads into paste with a variety of weapons, clearing out both Camp Searchlight and the Airport, making them much safer for others to travel into, although the radiation is still present in Camp Searchlight.

Black Mountain Radio has been fixed! Moreno has once more resumed the role of the "Voice of America", much to great cheer by your people. He's become something of a second hero to them, outshone only by yourself.

"Howdy folks, this is Mr. New Vegas.

Caravaners coming from Cottonwood Cove have reported that the settlement has repelled an assault by Legion forces attempting to retake the camp. The "New American Radio" station has resumed operation and is reportedly giving out details of the "2nd Battle of Cottonwood Cove

In other news, the NCR is holding a national holiday following the capture of a Brotherhood of Steel Bunker, in a plan orchestrated by Secretary of War Arnold Yaunker. This following a previous failed attempt by President Kimball is placing him closer to his approval rating on the polls."

You could do both of those in one action.

You go to Willow and find her, still somewhat sad about the loss of her arm. Her eyes twinkle when you tell her you might be able to give her back her arm, and she practically jumps up and kisses you.

Willow wakes up. Her arm is still a stump but. . .the stump is growing longer than before. You tell her to rest and avoid heavy lifting, her arm should hopefully grow back to normal in time.

Your soldiers deploy to the Farm and Mine and outpost respective, turning it into outposts. The animals are brought back, saving your food stores.

The Vertibird has been fixed! Raul, Ares, and Daisy manage to put it back together and its now in full working condition once again. This has raised Morale.

A note on Outposts. Outposts are not yet settlements, but garrisoned positions usually attached to a settlement. Their supplies reliant on settlement, unless they themselves are providing supplies.

You go back to the alien ship, wiping out a few Alien stragglers now and again, and return to the Chinese base inside.

You talk with DanDan about the prospects of inviting the Chinese to come with you, but on the mention of them abandoning communism, she says her people are unlikely to do so.

"Communism has been the courage and hope of my people for 200 years. They would not abandon it. I think you can convince them to come with you, but they would still be communist.

I think, many would also want to stay here and keep settlement going. Has been home for very long.

How would you bring my people with you? Bawang Tank is big but. . .only hold 10 or 11 people in it. Our War Factory could have build some Assault Troop Transport but. . .not working. No materials, no power, no factory. Only blueprints."

You decide to consult your brain, moving stuff in between BigMT and the Mojave is becoming a recurrent pain.

>Brain
"Hmm, yes the logistical constraints of transport. Well first off, if you manage to convince some of them to come with you, you'd need to protect them from being lobotomized within BigMT by the Think Tank, as well as get them through the Radar. Could be done through the old train tunnel, but those were as you know, blocked off by Elijah. You'd need to clear out the tunnels.

Then supposing you manage to get this done, you'll need to actually transport them. Supposing you wanted to get more than you could carry on the Tank, we would need to either:
>Restore a working train locomotive and railroad, and slowly rebuild the rails from BigMT to Mojave
>Build a Chinese War Factory, get some Troop Transports going
>There is another option. . .but its incredibly risky and I don't recommend it

I'd say we should go for the rail line as that will help work out transportation in the long run. Not to mention if we are to open trade to House or to the NCR it would help us out a bit if we had that option.

Though I feel like we should keep the assualt troop transport on standby in the meantime.

As for the tunnel how hard are we talking about going through that?

But we already have 2 competitors, NCR and Legion, and there's also the rest of the US for future enemies to be in.

>>
>>1470226
Also trying to live without some measure of peace and harmony between other nations also lead to the Great War because people couldn't make peace either.

We have to be firm, but we don't need to be dogmatic and antagonistic.

As it right now we're mostly at the level of city state status and not even that becuase we only have unique personal that allows it. While Mr. House however has the infrastructure and army for it. It'd be best to work together for now at least.
>>
>>1470223
I think we're better off trying to fix the railway systems before trying to make another teleporter.
>>

Dude we are not a city state yet, that's New Vegas, and you also have to recall that both the NCR and the Legion are expanding right now, they will annex us if they can.
I'm not suggesting we fight every Faction we meet, I'm just saying we need the Securitron army if we want a Legitimate chance of surviving and making our dream Nation real.

>>
>>1470249
Why not? The courier can do it all by himself.
>>
Perhaps once we settle the medicine, we should work on the defences of the settlement. The legion is an army after all. The losses from that battle are nothing to them and they'll send another group sooner or later.
>>
>>1470277
That's my plan.
>>
>>1470277
It's kinda why I want Boone ASAP as well as much equipment and medical aid we can muster.
The guy fucking hates the Legion with a passion and he certainly knows what he's doing when he's waging a one-man war on them.
>>
>>1470279
Speaking of which, we should form an adhoc arrangement with the ranger outpost. We can put up some militia of our own to aid in the patrolling of the riverine coast to ease their workload plus a mutual defense pact they'll come to defend our settlement if we do need help and we'll send aid if they require it.
>>
>>1470282
While that would help, I'd like to try and avoid getting in bed with the NCR as much as possible.
Gonna make the ensuing backlash from raiding their bases during the 2nd battle of Hoover Dam a lot less painful for us.
>>
>>1470283
Needs must. At this stage in development we'd be hard pressed to fend off another attack from the legion. And it's not like this is a formal treaty, this is just a settlement agreement with a local NCR outpost, dealing with the boots. And besides theres absolutely no way there will be little badblood come the 2nd battle.
>>
>>1470285
Fine. I guess we should try getting an agreement going with Ranger Station Echo about having our backs when the Legion tries to pull some shit at Cottonwood.
We should also get some friendly supermutants from Jacobstown moved into Camp Searchlight.
That's another squad of badasses we could have roll into Cottonwood at a moments notice.

We could use it as a propaganda piece. How even though an American citizen and soldier saw his country destroyed, he still helped his fellow American and he was generous until the very End. Maybe we could even come onto Black Mountain and tell his story, and then call for any man, woman or child who wants to restore the United States and bring back this kind of generosity and caring for his fellow American.

Of course if it would help exactly what I would like him to say, I have a rough outline of a small script of what the courier would say.

>>

>>
>>1470429

I guess what matters is not actively antagonising the NCR. IF we wanna keep boone, we can work with them on issues like fighting the legion but refuse to integrate. If or when the NCR comes knocking to try and forcifully integrate our fledging nation, thats when we can kick boone's loyalty a swift gut kick, that his beloved country would just forcefully break a community that just wants to remain separate.

Still, we should bring him to this settlement so that he builds ties here and becomes even more conflicted when he can put faces and lives to names.
>>
>>1470437
Oh most certainly.

I also think we should try and invite him to help us raid the legion, so he is aware that almost everyone on our side would be a ex-legion slave. Something he has spent so long freeing and saving that I doubt he would willingly march to kill them.

Also, we should really get a basic numeracy / literacy program running assuming there is a need for it.

The farms are expanded again, but will take time to come into effect, as its not spring right now and the medicinal plants need time to grow (previous plants were harvested from the ground and placed in pots, this one is an entirely new batch being germinated).

>Settler
"We've still got more land to farm, but eventually we're going to run out.

Not to mention every new plot of land we farm is one we can't use for other structures, and the houses are still rather shoddy. Some folks are patching up roofs with dried plant leaves."

ED-E is found in Primm, where he goes when you dismiss him. You activate his companion protocol again, helping him to return.

As for Primm itself, unfortunately, it's currenty under NCR rule. That was one of the things you had to do to get in the good graces of the NCR right now. Still, the soldiers nearby greet you as you pass them, the Courier is still reverred among the NCR for now.

In NOVAC, Boone is in his motel room. When he learns that you are part of the New American Radio, he frowns.

"I'm not about to join someone who puts down the NCR and weakens its support. If you're going to fight the legion and protect people that's one thing, but if you plan on fighting the NCR and killing our soldiers or citizens, I will take this gun and hunt you down myself."

>Other? - Boone is highly unlikely to join of his own volition.

"I respect your position but killing me would do nothing but doom those under me to death by the Legion's hands. Whom I managed to save them from and who my group are protecting.

You can hate my group, you can hate our goal but I just wanted to make sure you were aware that if you want to take part in raiding Legion shit we are getting as many guns as we can. We could use your skills if nothing else and I would point out that any sort of conflict against the NCR is a distant possibility in my opinion.

The simple fact is, that if even only a few of my lofty goals work, which they will, they will make my nation better than the NCR. I have access to pre-war tech and other such things that make even the most advanced stuff the NCR has seem trivial but I need to get my nation ready to produce it first.

I see the NCR still is your state of loyalty and would ask if nothing else, you don't mention my relations to the radio station to them. The messages being broadcast from there are the honest opinions of many under them and around them and they should be voiced no matter what you may think. That is the goal of my nation, to be the third choice, between NCR and chaos. Between NCR and death. Between NCR and Legion."

"And thats perfectly fine. We can all disagree. It's how we deal with our disagreements that matter.

I have no intention of fighting the NCR. I just don't like the way it does things around. Look around the mojave boone. Has the NCR been the best for this region? I'm not saying the legion scum are better than the NCR, no sir. But what the NCR wants, it will trample anything in its path. 'Don't tread on the bear, it treads on you'.

I want to create a different nation. One separate from the NCR and the Legion. A different path to a goal of what the ideals of this land used to be.

Still, whatever your decision, I will respect it. You've been a great friend and companion Boone. We've had good times and if you ever need help for anything, you know where to find me."

"Alright, I'll work with you on the actual logistics of such a rail line. But first, you're going to need to convince the Chinese to your side. Your power armor isn't strong enough to move train cars, and you'll need their engineering expertise."

---
You return into the spaceship and make your way to the Chinese settlement. Immediately you are greeted and then rushed by a cheering crowd. Flower petals fall from rooftops and bouquets are pressed into your hand, as the people lead you toward the main Barracks and DanDan.

The people are also amazed by the return of your right arm, one raises it high for all to see.

As you walk by you see a big painted mural death of the tunneler queen. Chinese soldiers firing bravely at the beast, DanDan beneath slashing its underbelly, and you standing in the center, the stump of your right hand still smoking as you bravely lob a grenade into the open mouth of the beast.

There’s a bit of artistic liberty here. For the one, you weren’t standing tall and brave, you were crouched on the ground barely crawling like a worm and doubled over from pain and blood loss, but it’s a nice homage.

You suddenly realize that, as you are walking toward the barracks, you are part of an impromptu parade of sorts. Red flags flying, posters and banners, trumpets and music. You think you hear their national anthem playing as their Red Flag is raised on a pole.

Finally you come to the barracks where DanDan is waiting. Its nice and quiet now and so you have a chance to discuss. You are up front with what you want, and DanDan is able to understand clearly.

>DanDan
"My people will not give up Communism, 'the way'. That is the sort of. . .American propaganda we are taught as children to resist.

We like our way of life, it is the way of our ancestors and the way we want to teach our children. We work together, make a greater future for all, share food in hard times reap field together in good times, not work for greed or money."

DanDan tells you if you want to convince her people to join your cause, they'd mostly likely have these terms:
1 - They are free to continue to practice Communism, and any people who wish to join them
2 - Wherever you decide to take them to, they want to be able to find a land to call their own, to farm and build and live in. they are hard workers and soldiers, but they would not live in radiation or where no humans could live
3 - they would be a free people and state, owning their own means of production where they build it, not to be a vassal or a fief

"My people would be an ally to you, I feel that is the most of what you can ask of them. To abandon Communism, the way, is inconceivable to them."

I'll support this. Make it clear we have no intention to fight the NCR, hopefully there can be an understanding there. The legion must go, we think the NCR is better but we think we can do better still.

Live and let live. Besides the NCR might like having the Legion worry about something other than them for a change
>>
>>1470487
Well eventually we have to deal with the NCR but he doesn't need to know that
>>
>>1470489

Eventually. But it won't be us making the the first move, probably. Since militarily it makes no sense.

No it will be the NCR coming after us that we will be forced into a defensive war.
>>
>>1470482
"I am afraid I can't realistically sponsor the creation of an independent state, no matter how closely aligned to my own people's interests.

The simple fact is this, outside of the Alien ship is a land filled with death made by the old world. Beyond that lies a new world nation of american descendants who follow the capitalist ways closely and intensely who might see you as a threat or something to forcibly absorb. Especially for your technology, the tank and so on.

However, my people are few in number and our culture is still forming. If you were to join with us...I suppose we could attempt to incorporate the spirit of communism but I don't think the system itself would survive.

In saying that, I don't think communism would survive outright out there and I feel the future of my nation drifts away from old american capitalism. So perhaps you could be the force that brings us to a new system, eh?"

>>1470484
We can clear the radiation using IRL tech, primarily we just need to find all the irradiated material and either move it or bury it deep under ground. However we can probably throw together something better than that.
>>
>>1470492
Which is the best war to fight against the NCR

>>1470496
We are not adopting any kind of communism. They either become a cultural minority in our empire, or they can sit in their base for eternity
>>
>>1470507
We must make compromises to absorb them and to ensure our survival.

I would point out I am saying the "spirit" of communism. Which essentially comes down to a worker receiving their fair share of the profits and the rich not being in complete control of the government / oppressing the poor / working class.
>>
>>1470496
The Fallout World explicitly operates under a different level of physical constraints more based on 1950's understanding of radiation than we know it today, according to its creators.

Furthermore although the title of the series is 'Fallout' a considerable amount of radiation wasn't just simply from the bombs but also from the nuclear infrastructure of American. In a desperate attempt to try and stave off the total collapse of oil, they tried to integrate nuclear technology into anything they could, cars, home generators, robots. It just wasn't fast enough.

As seen you readily find barrels of radioactive waste throughout the world. This was with less of a stigma than you would have if factories dropped radioactive barrels in the open today, because radiation poisoning could be fixed at the time with a dose of Rad-Away and Rad-X to protect against it.
>>
>>1470511
Our survival isn't dependant on them at all, if anything it is the opposite. We can talk about the spirit of communism all we want but we have a system that we agreed on that meets everything you want and we all agree on that is still capitalistic
>>
>>1470517
That's not to say its impossible to clean up radiation, obviously conventional methods still work (donning suits, and trying to dispose of radioactive items)

There's just a lot more radiation sources to deal with than IRL so the problem is exacerbated.
>>
>>1470517
True but all that you have just stated makes the Sierra Madre machines so much easier to make use of...assuming we get some super mutants or ghouls to process the materials.

>>1470521
True our survival is not dependent on them but at this point in time we can hardly turn down a tank, a town, their troops and the fact they are seemingly skilled with pre-war tech.

As to our system, seemingly the only thing we agreed on was what our priorities in educating our children would be.
>>
>>1470496
"To live in the same place can compromise both our peoples beliefs, would it not? Maybe it work for best and something good come of it, but at worst much conflict and confusion.

Is not coexist but separate the safest? Maybe we not live in Mojave, but somewhere else."

>>1470528
Ha, now you're thinking.
>>
>>1470528
That was what the vending machine debate last thread was for. That basically decided what kind if society we were having. Yes they would be very helpful, and that rank makes me hard, we shouldn't change our culture and government for them
>>
>>1470532
"Still both our old nations no longer exist and that we'll all have to make changes to how to do things eventually. Otherwise all of us might end up fighting each other down the road. Perhaps even though our settlements are separate, we should allow our young ones to mingle and learn? Like some travel to ours, some of ours to yours. Teach them both our ways. Perhaps in time, our children or their children will meld both our ways peacefully.
>>
>>1470441
While at Novac, you see the little shack in front of the settlement. You remember its the home of Rusty, the Pre-war toy turned sentient by some unknown scientist. For his size, he's quite handy with a gun and a knife.

Do you want to invite him to join your cause?

"We have a fair bit of time before we will have access to the wider world, so we can discuss this more in future. However I would point out, that in the wider world there are very few places your people could go without having to displace others or facing great hardships.

Everything east, south and for a fair distance, west is completely colonised and lived on by two mighty nations and many separate townships. One of whom are a mighty empire that enslave all who won't serve them and commit hideous crimes like leaving their enemies to die on wooden crosses for days at a time.

The other is a nation like the old world America. A nation ruled by the rich, abusing the majority of it's citizens depending on who you believe and forcing others to join their nation. Yet others say that compared to the alternative, that even if these rumours were true, it is better than struggling as townships against bandits and raiders and the radiation-beasts.

The north is a largely unknown region but I can say with good certainty it is filled with horrors like the tunnellers you faced here and the usual assortment of the wastes: bandits, tribal groups and tiny fragments of civilisation. Assuming it hasn't been nuked to hell or something."

>>1470542
I am well aware of that debate. I am well aware of how that debate went and I disagree with the conclusion drawn that we shouldn't rely on these wonderful devices and that many of the reasons for not relying on them were strange.

As to changing our culture and government, that is unlikely. However it wouldn't hurt to have them influence our development seeing as they've maintained a successful and stable society in isolation for 200 years at least under incredible conditions.
>>
Why are we so afraid of letting the Chinese start a settlement.

Only a man who isn't convicted in his beliefs being the best would silence those of others. Let em have their base, well make use of their services, and whether or not we do convince them to adopt capitalism well always have an ally in them. Like anon said they can be a minority in our Empire.

I vote we let the Chinese have a settlement in Vault 3 where the fiends used to live. I presume we've already killed them. Its right next to the NV Steel and we could employ them to help work the factory, maybe even build things out of steel using their knowledge.

Maybe we could even introduce capitalism to them that way. Pay them for their work, even if it's as a state instead of individual.
>>
>>1470573
We haven't killed them. As we haven't launched the operations relating to eliminating the NCR's control of the wastes.
>>
>>1470568

>>
>>1470573
Sorta hesitant to just hand over that strategic piece of equipment to them. Remember they have no intention of being vassals after all and what would we pay them in? They'd probably grow their own food and medicines so we'd need something else.

We should just find some other settlement plot they can plant roots in.

>>
>>1470578
We wouldn't give them the NV Steel mill, just let them work in it. Most likely wle'll be the ones bringing in scrap to recycle.

We would trade them with Steel from mill itself, a cut of what is produced, so they can manufacture their own goods. Even gives them something to trade with us or other settlements.

It treats them as independent but an ally.

>>1470580
Have faith in our system. Our people are more used to Capitalism, I see no reason they'd want to switch to communism.

I think we can agree to share students. History says before the war, Chinese and American students used to 'exchange program', in name of peace."
>>
Let's talk Federalism then.
Since we are the new (and better) United States it's a policy we ought to adopt anyway. The Chinese can be the First (or Second State) in the new Union we (the Courier) are head of the Nation (at least until elections and a three branched government become feasible) and we use this opportunity to lay down a basic constitution (Liberty is a really sexy Right when you are a slave) and make (production-) Property a State Right. Not only can the Chinese keep their Communism we get a way to (eventually) absorb the NCR without bloodshed -until now it was either us or NCR now our offer can be us and NCR. Plus we can mine this for delicious propaganda opportunities: treaty signing celebrations, a holiday, et cetera.
>>

>>
>>1470607

"In much older history, before even Great War, our books talk about an ancient empire we once fought. They came from the east of China too, to enslave us all. Cut the heads of men and women with swords. Put babies on bayonets. Rape and burn entire cities. We call it "Great War before Great War". Legends say empire was so evil, even Americans became ally of China. The "Rìběn" Empire, our books call it.

I think, to fight an enemy like that again would inspire my people.

They also not want to bow to the other nation, where the Rich rule and abuse. It is asked "is this not also slavery?" when the poor must bow to the rich. This is against our way.

It saddens us that there are few safe places for our people, but this is the world after the Great War. We are still brave and if you were to lead us to find a safe place we would be even more brave."

>>
>>1470644
What type of communism we talking about here anyway?

Also, that second empire is not evil. It's just they lack a competitor and thus are falling to corruption far quicker than they might otherwise do. Given a proper opponent, say both of our groups and a few others I know, we could present a serious competitor in the market of being the major power and the nation people want to join."

"There's very little records about what communism actually means here that isn't just propaganda. The system is simply attuned to any sort of Red stars, Chinese voices, and obvious insignia. Whatever the American's have on communism seems to be based on how to find, detect, and kill communists."

The Courier needs consul so he seeks it in his allies back at the Cove. Making sure to advise the Chinese Remnants that they must be careful or else the weapons of the Old World at BigMT still sleeping here will awaken with their scent.

Looking to get the inhuman opinion first with the Gynoid ARES the Courier brushes off the shreds of the BigMT bluegrass from his boots and presents some questions.

"How have things been going with the Vertibird rebuild? More importantly and for less small talk how likely do you think it is that we could get some sort of high altitude air balloon early warning system going?"

Looking for a place to meet his technologically mummified ally Mary-Jo Casey where her presence wouldn't cause a shooting match the Courier stifles a reflexive shiver and turns on the charm.

"Mary-Jo, you were a Scribe with the Brotherhood of Steel before coming to BigMt. Was this in the Elijah days? How dangerous would you imagine the Sierra Madre Cloud would be to you and your essential systems? I know someone who also was in the Brotherhood and who also had a brush with BigMT that might need your help."

Since we can talk to companions at any time would it cost an action to look up the rumored wasteland tall tale of a pair of bipedal radroaches peddling Roachington Family Life Insurance by the nametags of Milton and Hans?

Maybe we could get one of the Goodsprings residents to forward us their contact info over shortwave radio? Though this may be going full Wild Wasteland a pair of rad shrugging bugmen who have adopted the trappings of civilization might lead to discovering an entire culture of these things.

Mad Mimic Men could have some use as garbage consuming bean counters if they're more intelligent than atavistic. Also trading opportunities for areas that neither any American-aligned supermutants or Ghouls are interested in exploring.

This may seem a whimsical distraction but I'm trying my best to go off any resources we can pool in getting this grand and enduring experiment started. Fallout QM mentioned them offhandedly so they might exist in this Courier's playthrough.

From what I was able to read on the Chinese situation, I think it would be fine to have them out of Big MT as well as letting them practice their own society and their own little city state. After all the more people we have to try civilizing the wastelands the better imo. That being said aren't we reaching for acombination of societal goals anyway?

The prime problem leaving people in Big MT is they may activate some automated defences, experiments or make the thinktank aware of them, resulting in them being used for experiments.

I can agree if we keep a VERY close eye on the people there. How much land would we give them? Just vault 3, or the area around it? How much steel are we giving them? Why do we exactly need the population in the factories anyway? We do have an entire wasteland of people after all

If they are going to be our allies forever, does it matter?

What are we going to do about other factions who are willing to work with us but staunchly demand their autonomy. Like the Kings. Do we forcibly annex them?

I mean, if that's the kind of America we want. But I thought we were moving away from NCR and old enclave.
>>
>>1470945
>forever
Even though DanDan said that, we can't be 100% sure, so there is uncertainty.

Yeah, we do. If we don't, we risk having hundreds of little holes in our backs. We should offer the King to be the mayor of Freeside. He still gets command of his city, but he then reports to us, all the while getting taxes to rebuild his city.

If we want to be an actual nation, we have to integrate these factions, peacefully would be the goal.
>>
>>1470945
Think of the propaganda and ideological value. China and America, the great enemies of the Great war, two radically different ideologies.

Now working together for the future of humanity, abandoning ancient grudges and working hand in hand for a better tomorrow. Out of their own free will.

Not isolation like the BoS. Not annexation like the NCR. Not assimilation like the Legion. Not extermination like the enclave. But a union of freedom and choice.
>>
>>1470950
I don't think the King will accept taxes unless we prove to him they are worthwhile probably through promises and actuall displays of what we can offer.

And if we're willing to let factions have essential autonomy such as being a mayor of all of freeside, then what's the problem with doing the same for the chinese?

The Kings chose to die rather than be taxed or enslaved. Wasn't America also founded on the principle of having representation and a vote to be taxed, rather than taxation without representation or a voice?
>>
>>1470954
Are you forgetting the "American" part of our goal? Our goal was to found a new America, correct? We aren't building a better future for humanity, we are building one for Americans.

If you don't annex, how can you possibly expect to have a strong rule? I want to dance all around a campfire and sing Kumbaya, but we really have to decide WHAT kind of nation we really want. We can't be nice and successful in this situation.
>>
>>1470954
For how long though...

Essentially, we are giving up a strategic location and asset on their promise that we will be allies.

I'm not really sure what we're gaining out if this, some steel? It doesn't seem worth it to be, especially when they are going to have great difficulty intergrating.

I bet if we stealth killed DanDan and their leadership, we could convince the rest of the less dedicated Chinese to try living the 'American' way.
>>
>>1470954
Kinda. More so putting aside our differences to form a better whole united by our old world tech, new world experiences and a common sense of good.

Don't make the bit about annexation public, we may need to and want to do that and it would be nice to not have a ideological split over it.

Again, we just want to be the NCR meets the institute but less corrupt and evil.
>>
Dammit i was asleep.
>>
I feel we shouldn't annex others who refuse to join like the NCR, we should try to win them over in ways the NCR can't try like actually offering food and medicine to everyone.
>>
>>1470962
Don't piss off the commies, please.

However I would point out our plan is essentially to slowly weaken their resolve and make them want to at least try the capitalism thing and then absorb them entirely.
>>
>>1470962
Steel, educated engineers, allied soldiers, and immediate and additional presence that can be relied on. Also a railway to BigMT.
>>
>>1470959
Because the King answers directly to us, as governments do. The Chinese said that they will not accept our leadership over them.

We are giving the King representation. If he wants a new road built, we will listen to him if he needs support. If he wants lower taxes, we will listen.

>>1470967
We have already done so much for Freeside, that we have shown we can get things done. If we roll in with food and water, we can show that we do action, not talking.

>>1470970
>Don't piss off the commies, please.
Why?
>>
>>1470967
Oh certainly, but I want to not have tiny Enclave nations inside us no matter how closely allied to us they are. Our end goal is to annex them so we can put all of humanities resources into our projects and avoid unneeded bureaucratic nonsense.

>Capatcha had a EU flag, clearly agrees with me.
>>
>>1470964
I think we can be better than that.

We should strive to be a community so ideal and so appealing, we don't have to ask people to annex, our mere presence and open hands will have nearby settlements asking to join us.
>>
>>1470971
If we want that railway, which we do, we can just kill them after they build it.

Fucked, but it would benefit us.
>>
>>1470972
Because they have a tank? Because they have a bunch of troops? Because they are a potential ally? I mean, I don't even really need a reason. Just don't randomly murder kill the leaders of the nice people with the strange political ideas.
>>
>>1470972
The chinese simply asked for Autonomy, like the King would.

At the same time were viewed as a hero to them, and they would follow us, just as the King would.
>>
What agreement did we make with the Chinese?
>>
>>1470976
Yes but no matter how lovely your carrot, a nice big stick solves just as many if not more problems.

>>1470977
I get the feeling you were one of the anons who wanted to kill all commies on sight.
>>
>>1470976
And then what happens when they are so stubborn and blind that they don't?

>>1470978
We could easily sabotage the tank, as they trust us enough. As for the troops, we could probably wipe them out if we loaded up with ammo and nukes.

>>1470979
No, they asked to be independent and be an ally. The king will be under our control, but he will have autonomy, but if we want something done, we will tell him to do it.

What do you folks think of consulting with the Rad Roach Life insurance salesmen? Where there's one there might be more but when there's two I'd imagine these guys have inadvertently kept the Tunnelers out of Nevada.

Unless they're from the "Blattodea Apple" where the shattered Art Deco ruins of Manhattan house their own twisted echo of the world that came before.

FO QM mentioned that there was a good chance they might still be around Goodsprings here >>1470825

To sweeten the deal if the Courier's playthrough had him fix the schoolhouse into a decent home then he likely ran into the (optional via Nexus Afterschool Special) Junkman operation Edgecomb Repair.

The propieter Paul Edgecomb and the Ghoul former-RobCo employee/golf groundskeeper Dean Stanton. A skilled set of hands while not companions themselves did show fine neighborly tendencies and a good set of connections to local traders worth a visit.

Again trying my best not to get too meta but this Courier's timeline might have conceivably crossed their path.
>>
>>1470974
If we can get their cooperation and resources by simply asking, you can achieve that without annexation.
>>
>>1470981
Wrong, I wanted to help them, but now we are at a dangerous crossroads
>>
>>1470980
The current deal is thus: >>1470676

>>1470985
You seem irrationally set on killing the lovely commies. As to how easily they could be eliminated, OP stated we can't kill an army. They have Dan Dan or whatever who is seemingly a companion grade character plus their actual army.
>>
>>1470985
The king would never submit to be under control.
>>
>>1470989
Well, actually, if you plan it right you could kill them all. They have a lot of troops but they aren't an army per say, that last time they just had the drop on you.

There's always a "kill them all" option somewhere with enough planning.

Plus they trust you tremendously, lowering their guard.
>>
>>1470989
But OP hasn't directly described HOW big they are. Yes I know we can't kill an army, but if we were to set off an explosion, or sabotage them from the inside, then we could...

>>1470990
If we promised him what i said earlier? Then we find someone who will. Whether that be Pacer or anyone else
>>
>>1470989
That sounds good, i also like the idea of exchanging students.
We could effectively turn those communist ideals into an extremely robust version of Communalism.
>>
>>1470960
That sort of thinking is exactly the kind of faults we are blaming the NCR for.

I believe we can be better than that. We can be nice and strong. We can be the third option that doesn't compromise our morals for the sake of power.

If we just become another NCR but with better guns and technology, we might as well drop the pretense of being a third option.
>>
>>1471001
The problems I have with the NCR is that it overextends too much, is corrupt, and an almost useless bureaucracy. I fail to see how we will have any of this
>>
>>1470987
True but they still have unneeded freedoms in such a system and experience privileges not given to our own settlements by effectively being self determining city states.

Annexation results in a reduction in the number of democratic, meritocratic and other such layers between us and the resources. This makes them easier to direct and lowers running expenses by reducing the number of bureaucrats and other such government figures. It also results in a far nicer map whenever we get round to that, I am a EU4 player and thus suffer from every act of border gore I see.

>>1470988
Only to you, when the rest of us see it as a way to gain a valuable ally which will be somewhat harder to absorb in future but entirely possible.

>>1470991
True but I have shit luck and doubt that we would get a good enough roll.

>>1470992
True but that requires us setting up such things without them noticing.

>>1471001
Actually I would argue our complaint is that the NCR acts as if they aren't trying to force others to join and that they are controlled by a oligarchic group (the caravans and such) at the top. Not to mention that they seemingly don't eliminate any of the bandits from the wastes they supposedly are defending and so on.

>>1471006
Also this, the NCR is overly bureaucratic and extends beyond what it can actually defend. Meaning it's promises of safety and prosperity ring hollow to most it covers.
>>
>>1471006
The corruption bit. Using force to get people under us, rather than choice and trust.
>>
>>1471015
But the Chinese said that they DO NOT want to join us. Are we supposed to "hope" they change their tune?

>>1471014

It'a an ally now that could turn into an enemy in the future when we start expanding. What happens when they have a fairly large landmass that we need to get? Ask nicely?

They trust us completely. As QM said, their guard is very low. It probably wouldn't be too hard.

I don't want to ring hollow, I want to deliver on our promises, but that doesn't mean everyone will join us just because of that. What if someone doesn't want to join? What happens then?
>>
>>1470971
Is that railway really something we want?

Given that BigNT is in the middle of NCR territory, won't that just increase their scrutiny of it?

They might even try and reclaim in militarily
>>
>>1471014
Well if the goal is total annexation and control, is that what we want our nation to be?

I was hoping we'd be liberators rather than conquerors, but if we're planning on dominating the wasteland with no regards to democracy or ideals, we might as well start working on amassing a robot army or something, in addition to the securitrons.

I don't think Ulysses would approve, but eh if that's what we want.
>>
>>1471018
Yes, I believe we can hope to change them. I believe we can use and give hope to a wasteland that only has the options of Greed or Tyranny.
>>
>>1471020
>total annexation
Yes!
>total control
Total security and centralization. We still give rights and freedoms to our citizens.
>>
>>1471025
And if they don't? You have no reason to believe 100% that they will join us. They still have strong traditions/
>>
>>1471030
If those traditions result in someone we can call ally, friend, and even family forever then I see no problem.

And if we don't believe that the American way is so superior that when communists are exposed to it they will come to understand and adopt it, then we may as well not belive in the American dream at all.
>>
>>1471020
Ulysses still respects Caesar, a enslaving dictator, don't talk like you know him.
>>
>>1471032
An ally isn't totally under our control Times can change. What happens when the Chinese control an old military base that WE could use for our people? What happens when they carve out their own nation? That impedes our nation! It takes resources and land away from us!

These communists have been living in a bubble for 200 years, as well as being fed propaganda pre-war. These people see us as another culture they don't want.
>>
>>1471033
Ulysses has said the Bear and the Bull hold no future for humanity, anymore than the BoS does.
>>
>>1471035
The purpose of allies is not to divide and withhold resources but to cooperate and share them. Not to impede but to promote.
>>
We can still annex them guys, no need to kill them.
Just change >>1470676
>Vault 3 will be offered for them to live in, in relative autonomy as allies
to
>Vault 3 will be offered for them to live in, Cottonwood will aid them in settling in exchange for joining the government.
I think they care more about their Traditions than their freedom so this will work.
>>
>>1471032

If anything I can see the Chinese Remnant's system being more family/clan based like a sect of tribal communists more than a politburo.

Also they're a freaking time capsule of unaffected genetics from before the Great War.

Despite the occasional Zetan cruelty with monsters dropped onto their little alien collective ant farm the Chinese Remnants likely didn't get the genrations of rad and FEV infused environmental mutagens.

This might be important if the Chinese start getting sick from being exposed to the Wasteland in general though the Vault Dweller never had that issue he was in an environment still embedded on Earth not isolated on an orbital Zetan pie tin of the damned without a string.

https://youtu.be/zYfm9bh4brY
>>
>>1471020
Of course total annexation is our goal. It is the most efficient means of controlling a population and aiming their productivity towards a goal.

However total control is a interesting concept and would be something we need to discuss.

>>1471043
They are seemingly unwilling to be annexed outright but I suppose we could have them be a part of our government as a autonomous collective for now, with them sending a councilman to represent themselves in some sort of national parliament elected by each town.

>>1471045
You raise an interesting problem and something we will need to investigate.
>>
>>1471036
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Ulysses
>Even though Ulysses is no longer a member of Caesar's Legion, and thinks the Legion has taken the wrong path, he still considers Legion members to be "brothers," and says "Caesar" in the classical Latin pronunciation favored by the Legion, unlike Joshua Graham, who uses the general English pronunciation
Ulysses still respects Caesar, he just thinks they aren't the future of humanity.
>>
>>1471038
But that can change. If they were under our control we can DIRECTLY decide where the resources go. Alliances cannot do that.

>>1471036
But Ulysses was about to nuke two different nations, to build his own (I think). He absolutely would agree with us if we are rebuilding the US.

>>1471043
Well I would be in agreement only if they joined us. They would become their own
city" and they can elect a senator and such, but they would be under the control of us. They can keep their culture and everything
>>
>>1471051
Yeah, in the same way as one might think that fossil fuels are good but that they aren't a permanent solution to a problem.
>>
>>1471058
Exactly.
>>
>>1471020
So your view of our new America is a patchwork of smaller nation-states which will inevitably come into conflict with each other? Poor vision in my opinion.

Also, what gives the communists the right to retain their sovereignty when are aiming to take that same sovereignty away from: the NCR, Vegas under House, the Legion and the Boomers?

It is all or nothing. Either they become citizens of the new America willingly or through force.

A strong moral standard should be a guiding light for us, not a chain around our legs. It's something we should always aspire to - not be locked into.
>>
>>1471050
>>1471056
Alright then, we will give them Vault 3 and help them survive the Mojave in exchange for them joining our faction.
>>
>>1471051
Thats the problem. They are a dead end to humanity.

The Divide might have been the future for humanity Ulysses was going y obe a part of, even after their destruction he wears their flag on his back.

We shouldn't be respected only, if all it takes to do that is to amount to the legion, we should be that future for humanity.
>>
>>1471066
But the legion doesn't adopt tech, and they don't build anything, that's why they are not the future. They also don't have a sustainable government. We do the opposite of everything we listed. That's why we are the future.

>>1471065
Agreed
>>
>>1471050
>However total control is a interesting concept and would be something we need to discuss.

>Brain
"Actually, I find the 'Total Control' option to be the most straighforward. I imagine your current plans involve a lot of recruitments, annexations or whatever it is you plan to do to bring villages and people under your fold.

Could I interest you in a thought experiment of a truly 'Empire of One' so to speak? I am basing it off of House's model although, far less limited to control of one city than he ever was.

I believe I could conceive of a way to conquer America through the use of superior application of technology for absolute control, far better than even House's securitrons could accomplish. We have the capability here in BigMT to make it happen."
>>
>>1471065
Yep and then we slowly through sheer numbers of wastelanders to them slowly marry their culture out of existence and absorb it into our own taking only what we want...If there is a /pol/ in the wastes I feel they'll get a few conspiracies out of this...

The NCR adopts technology, builds infrastructure, and have a sustainable government. But they aren't the future of humanity either.

The future of humanity lies in the ones who actually put humanity at its forefront, and not in the genocidal enclave type of way. The NCR puts politics and greed and ideology above humanity.
>>

"I'm excited I piqued your interest, I imagined you would have turned me down. Actually oh I I'm quite giddy.

Ahem.

I believe if you devoted your efforts here entirely to BigMT we could develop a superior mechanical force as a basis for your nationalistic goals. Using the technology of both the Zetan's, BigMT, and a few errands I may need you to run into the wasteland for we can proceed to create a specialized robotic force entirely under my control in the very same manner as House is.

Fully automated armies, and not just soldiers or war machines. Mining and scavenging bots for resources, repair and construction drones to build infrastructure, even civil planning and human resource bots to organize cities and food distribution.

Robots to build other robots, but with ample saftey measures to ensure everything comes back to you and me. In fact, at your current rate, you're going to live for at least another 200-500 years before you even have to decide whether or not you want to go cybernetic and by that time its likely I can even come up with artificial synthetic biotechnology. Many records indicate the MIT of the Old World was working on that, but there's no contact to the east currently."
>>
>>1471092
>WHAT MUST I DO TO GET THIS STARTER?

Oh god my dicks so hard right now.
>>
>>1471092
Well then we have to decide where "humanity" plays a role in this. We can easily have robot armies, and have large robots help move supplies and everything a human can't, but what about the large human population?
>>
>>1471092
I was thinking of using a robotic army as grunts to support our rangers and Power armor soldiers.
Don't like the idea of work bots, those jobs should be taken primarily by humans so we have an economy, other than that i approve.
>>
>>1471099
This, we need some humans. We can have robot "shock troopers" for warfare, as well as scouting, but the main fighting will be left to humans. We can use the construction in the way I said >>1471092
and we could even use drones like the US military
>>
>>1471097
I like the idea of civil planning and recourse bots but only sparingly, if we want strong Communities human cooperation and socialization is necessary.
>>
>>1471102
That's not what i had in mind, the robots would be the superior numbers while the Rangers and other human military groups will be the superior firepower/mobility.
>>
>>1471092
Muh tech.

>>1471097
They will be researchers, diplomats, entertainers, artists, engineers, actors, control-brains for our armies and so on. I guess.

>>1471099
Who needs an economy when you can automate everything? Kidding but yeah you have a point.
>>
>>1471099
"That would be several magnitudes inefficient and result in a lower overall standard of living. I'd honestly hope if you entertain my ideas you'll agree to do things my way."
>>1471102
"Not to mention a reliance on human troops would result in greater loss of life"
>>1471097
"Well, as a Brain, I seem to know at least a little bit about human physiology and psychology. Humans are at comfort so long as their bodily needs are met and they have mental and physical stimulus.

I believe in such a society as planned we would have very peaceful and rather labor non-intensive cities, jobs would most likely be relegated to those which humans are necessary such as caring, teaching, and intellectual jobs."
>>
>>1471099
Dangerous or risky manual labour can be conducted by robtote at first then.

Knowing humans though, our citizens will eventually clamour for the robots to take more and more jobs to make their lives easier - then we need to decide on how we support our non-working population.

Also, if America isn't reclaimed with real human sweat and blood, is there really investment in our new nation? Sacrifice breeds individual and community investment.
>>
>>1471104
Alright, so the opposite of what I said. We would have a small human force, but a large robotic one? I could swing that.

>>1471106
Those are specialty jobs, not the job for the everyday man like a factory job or a construction job. There can't be 50000 diplomats, and there can't be millions of researchers,

>>1471110
Well then we have a society of lazy and complacent citizens? Totally disconnected from the outside world?
>>
>>1471109
Guys this is literally the institute path but better and without the ethical problems of using artificial humans!
>>
>>1471115
>millions of researchers

Actually that is how we do a large portion of modern science. The geniuses come up with a theory or experiment and the smart guys figure out how to test it. Then the kinda average people do it over and over again checking the theory holds.

Also, we can be fairly certain that with proper selective conditioning and societal focus that we can raise entire generations to be scientists.
>>
>>1471116
"Well, actually, I'm pondering about the possibility of if humans would like to transfer their consciousnesses into synthetic biotechnology bodies, with similar function and sensation as a human.

After what we've seen with the disembodied brains of the Think Tank I dare say its warranted. Indeed the stimulus you give me day to day while very often unpleasant does ground me somewhat to reality."

Dr. Mobius is meanwhile, writing more gibberish on the walls and floors not too far away.

"But consciousness transfer is something much tertiary to our immediate goals."
>>
>>1471118
So do you want to implement population control then so we are like the institute?

I have a bad idea on going TOO far with this tech, I think there is a line in the sand
>>
>>1471109

"I also have plans for certain advanced educational programs to help transition the average human toward more human intellect based jobs.

>>1471124

Progressive government intervention and encouragement, for societal benefit to encourage the most beneficial genetic outcomes and negative trait removal. Along with cultural intervention to remove cultural phenomena of a negative nature.

1. I need you to redirect your efforts here to BigMT. The Nevada is going to have to go on the back-burner. In fact I might have to orchestrate some sort of movement of your people to big MT but I'll figure it out. BigMT will become your settlement.
2. We're going to have to iirst orchestrate a stronger level of control over BigMT and the Think Tank, somehow. I'm working on options for that, but we need the facilities repaired and in our control there's still major damage from the Zetan Crash Landing
3. I believe integration and use of the Chinese engineers necessary for your plans of ensuring humans still hold several labor and conscription based jobs, its not 100% necessary but it would make my plans easier and I have heard how you would like to gain a stronger level of control over them
4. You may need to alienate certain old allies. A lot. I'll try to limit this, but I don't imagine many out there will take kindly to an approaching robot army. You may see old enemies team up against you. Hopefully after we are victorious a healthy amount of wellfare will placate conquered peoples
5. When I say "I absolutely need this" I mean, I absolutely need this

---

This is a MAJOR turning point in the quest, by far one of the largest decisions you guys could make. It will essentially alter the quest. Vote carefully, and I will ensure everyone has made their choice.

I'm not saying a lot of people don't have those qualities, I'm just saying that's definitely not why Trump was elected.
It was a combination of grass-root efforts and Hillary being the absolute worst candidate possible for the Democratic party.
Not to mention Trump had a shit ton more financial backing in his campaign.

The Courier fiddles with his slowly recuperating spindly, yet durable, new right arm before responding.

"As weird as this may sounds we might have to consult with some Ghouls who were around before the Great War. From what we've read on terminals throughout the Wasteland the Old World had some heady problems that robots didn't really aid in the solution of."

"There were the Resource Wars and if we're going to piece together a new standard of living AND being, considering we're both the Vault Poster Boys of non standard entities, we should make this to last"

There is a point where having to much free time is bad for humans though, i think we should adopt a work schedule that grants people reasonable free time for their hobbies after work.
>>
>>1471160
People need to feel like they need to work to provide for their families. That's how it has worked for ten thousand years. Working and retiring in style is one thing, but never working in the first place is foolish

I don't know. We can't just leave the cove to fend for themselves. We need to put this off

The Clinton campaign costed over 1 billion dollars

>>1471169
Why not let them just pursue there hobbies in general?

>>1471170
Cove can be kept as is, Its stable for now and we can work on stuff. Then finally move everybody to MT. Once we have control.
>>
>>1471174
It is not stable. It has low medicine, as well as just an average amount of food. Another legion attack and we wouldn't survive
>>
>>1471174
As i said before, too much free time is bad for humans, people like having something to do and a job fulfills that desire.

Huh...that's actually bumping the trend of the most expensive campaign being the winner.
It was actually 1.4 Billion versus 950 Million after looking it up.

The average intelligence of humanity, in real life, is constantly increasing year on year which is why we must adjust the IQ system.

In the fallout universe, we are looking at an additional 200 years of this evolution PLUS the effects of airborne FEV on the wastelanders.

What I am suggesting is that we as a government intervene to encourage that the intelligent are as "productive" towards the continuation and benefit of humanity as possible to accelerate the process and so on.

I say we do wildcard before we do this, that way we have a population to apply our ideas on and have the starting of the robot army.

Not only are we turning our backs on American citizens, we are letting it "fend for itself" like it doesn't matter

Genetic changes, yes. Selective breeding, no. Just make it so people who are smarter have more children by having them either contribute to sperm banks or allowing some sort of societal advancement for bearing and raising their children or something.

We can say with fairly good certainty that most of the worst damage will have died out over the generations in what was essentially "Darwin's theory of evolution at hyper-speed" or the last 200 years.

Ok i think we need to get our thoughts in order, there have been to many arguments.
I personally want a distributism, Communalist society that will ensure our people are as self sufficient as possible while at the same time making them very civic and cooperative.
Our state government will have Nationalized high tech industries that will provide basic needs like healthcare, education and food.
We will have a army composed of Robot and conscript grunts, tough as nails Rangers and Power armor Mechanized infantry.
What does every one else want for our country?

[YES]

I hate to say it but the "BigMT Betrayal" route on the Cove seems like the best route. As for our attentions being divided we have one other companion who can follow us here and that's the darling BoS Scribe techno mummy Mary-Jo Casey.

Perhaps we can get her an eventually convincing synthetic covering for her current endoskeletal existence. Have a cigarette ember retina spy among the shifting tensions in Nevada.

I'm thinking the Enclave retiree group might benefit from any meditech implants we can bring back to revitalize their likely aging biologies.

We'll be killing one dream to secure a definite future.

To get Meta it would be a trip if we started running into the other Fallout Quest factions that have populated other regions of the Wasteland. Especially that band of Crusaders that was starting in the Mid West.

Also our advance is going to be visible to the Mothership of the Zetans that the FO3 Protagonist left in the hands of former abductees. The Mothership is also the likeliest reason that the Zetan hubcap from Hell is wedged into BigMT's territory in the first place.

It was a discussion to determine a plan of action, for what we should do in the run up to the battle.
>>
>>1471391
It was a group discussion between like 7 people. 4 or 5 were in favor of it. Let me try to find it.

1) Operation sundown: Deployment of forces to secure HELIOS solar array for tactical and economic uses as well as the morale loss it will inflict on the NCR.

2) Operation Et tu: Elimination of as many Legion assets as possible by use of boomer bomber to drop bombs on their camp.

3) Operation Trojan: Bribing (with poisoned drugs?) of Vault 3 raiders into attacking NCR base, eliminating of Vault 3 home-guard followed by elimination of returning raiders (OR an assault on the now weakened NCR base).

3) Operation Mutual enemy: Convincing the New Khans to aid us by attacking NCR bases, in return for supplies. Pay in full and politely.

4) Operation A dozen bees, one hornet: Convince the general dregs of the wastes gangs to attack NCR positions (in legion uniforms). Eliminate all survivors of both sides to maintain good public image (mention none of this to common troops who will perform clean up?).

5) Operation Killer queen: Deployment of a covert operator with the HELIOS weapon system to {target to be selected} (Camp golf?) to cause maximum damage and chaos before pulling out / moving to a new target. Operator should cease if they are worried about being detected or come under fire.

6) Operation Burnt granary: A covert operator will wait in NCR base Camp McCarran. There, once the attacks begin elsewhere, they shall sabotage the NCR logistics trucks by any means with the secondary goal of keeping them in a recoverable state. Primary goal is to deprive the NCR of hard to replace assets.

7) Operation hell's gate: Deployment of boomer artillery to fire on the NCR outpost to their core lands. Using shells taken from the "left field" artillery field testing facility in Big MT to irradiate the area. (Make no mention of the effects of the shelling?) (Either move in after to clear base or leave to subject enemies to radiation / confusion, rapidly clear out forces to avoid combat?)

8) Operation Lincoln: Deployment by whatever means and with whatever resources possible to Legion-side of the river, goal to free as many slaves as possible.

>>
would it be advantageous to try and win house over to our side? Maybe even offer to rebuild his body or put his brain in a jar?

>>1471406
The raiders aren't dead as we never formally came to an agreement unless I missed it.

>>1471412

>>1471423

>>1471416
Well after we complete his requests is when he would probably strike, as he has HIS requests met

>>1471420
What if they die on the way? What if they can't acclimate within the base? We are also leaving our foothold in the Mojave. Big Mt. is much more dangerous too
>>
>>1471425
Honestly, I'd rather have them move under our armed guard or at night or hell be farried to it.

Why..would they be unable to acclimcate to the base? its weather is the same as outside. Maybe less radatied in all honesty.

We can come back and regain the foot hold and MUCH better, and the whole danger thing is why we'd be helpping deal with that first?
>>
>>1471420
I agree and would point out that of the list of potential plans, most of them can occur with minimal deployment of forces.

>>1471422
Not really, we had a discussion about this already and decided that he isn't worth the risk, at least not without greatly limiting his power.

>>1471425
Which is why I want to get Yes-man in place first.

Also I would point out my alternate plan for our civilian population if we don't want to have them in Big MT. Expanding the Remnant bunker could work quite well for the same reasons as it worked for the Institute while also allowing us to maintain control of operations in the region and easier access to the Sierra Madre and shit.
>>
>>1471425
>What if they die on the way? What if they can't acclimate within the base? We are also leaving our foothold in the Mojave. Big Mt. is much more dangerous too
He has a point, moving our guys and abandoning the Mojave is the one thing i don't like about this plan.
>>
>>1471435
Well the soil, the dangerous lifeforms, making it impossible to go outside, the unfamiliarity. As for the foothold thing, it would be like D-Day, but I suppose we could.

>>1471437
I trust an Ai over a brain with 10 intelligence and Charisma and Perception any day
>>
>>1471435
We don't even need to regain a foothold if we do Wildcard, it would be like coming home after a good, hard day of work.
>>
>>1471444
Then we need to be there when it happens, or else it will be a power vacuum. How can people bow down to us if we aren't even there?
>>
>>1471443

>>1471447
No we don't.
>>
>>1471447
Don't need to be there all the time, just for the Hoover damn battle and a few visits to assure the populace we're still here.
Hell we might be able to connect Black mountain radio with Big MT and use the Securitrons to observe what happens so we can commentate on it, something like the Fireside chats president Franklin did.
>>
>>1471449
Yeah we do.

Also, we will be taking care of that stuff, but it will take time. What about while they are here

>>1471461
You HONESTLY don't think the Mojave will accept our rule less if we aren't there to play clean up afterwards personally?

We need to decide if we want to play Institute at big Mt. or actually try to make an empire. We get farther and farther from our goal every thread
>>
>>1471449
Look, we aren't happy with abandoning the Nevada area, no matter what we at least want to have Yes-man done before we focus on Big MT.

To be entirely honest, considering how the Securotrons can safely patrol and control the state while we are away, we only need to take control, show who has done it and force both sides back while we get everything into position.

We aren't saying no to the plan focus on Big MT just that we want to secure NV first, which we can do by sending in our best combat companions, hacker and us to breach the Lucky 38 and take down house.
>>
>>1471471
They accept it in the wildcard ending more or less and it should be noted in that ending that you generally seem to not send your massive forces out to clear the wastes for some reason. Implying that you could do so if you want but you don't for some reason.
>>
>>1471471
we have compaions and shit while we are here?

>I trust an Ai over a brain with 10 intelligence and Charisma and Perception any day
Doesn't our brain have twice our intelligence, but still retain the rest of our stats and base personality? If anything, he'd be more than a match for the Yes Man AI that was jury-rig hacked into its system.
>>
>>1471471
Its a question of where you want to start your empire. In both cases you do make it happen, you just plan to come back to the Mojave later in the other.
>>
>>1471478
They "accepted" our rule and we were strong with it, but we could do so much more for them. Do you really think anyone but us could improve the Mojave like we could?
>>1471482
But they are companions, not national leaders. Part of our entourage>>1471483
That is exactly why I don't trust our brain. We can't control him anymore, like we could when he was in our body
>>
>>1471483
Your brain has:
STR 0
PER *** (based on what he's hooked up to)
END 0
CHA 10
INT 10(+++++)
AGI 0
LUCK 10
>>
>>1471489
And we don't need to be around stating 'we're the boss'. We aren't at that point or near it yet.
>>
>>1471495
We aren't in control? What do you mean?
>>
>>1471489
Nope, which is why I want to do it but what I am trying to show is that once we have Yes man on our side Nevada takes care of itself for us and we can take advantage of the resources there while we work on and in Big MT.
>>
>>1471499
My point is that we aren't needed in an office, signing shit yet. So we can go out and do this while our companions are protecting our assets. However if we keep growing, before we do this. Things are likely to change.
>>
>>1471500
But it doesn't build itself up as well as if we were there. We are ignoring the Mojave.
>>1471506
But like I said above, we are just sitting on the Mojave, not growing on it like I thought we wanted. It's like we forgot our roots or something
>>

>5. When I say "I absolutely need this" I mean, I absolutely need this
Can you clarify why you "absolutely need this" to such an extent that there can't be a compromise?

>>1471484
Hm, interesting.

>>1471489
>That is exactly why I don't trust our brain. We can't control him anymore, like we could when he was in our body
Well we can't, but our brain's our brain, he shares more in common with us than Yes Man ever would. Unless we're secretly, actually a manipulative dick, I don't think he'd be the backstabbing type. Our brain’s I think what happens if we get rid of most of the meatbag aspects of our needs and spend most of our time studying. Of course, I could be mistaken in how he’s changed.
>>1471494
>INT 10(+++++)
So does this mean he had INT 15 with the Mentats modifier?
How much is Yes Man's stats in comparison? His isn't listed anywhere.
>>
>>1471510
WE DON'T NEED IT BUILDING ITSELF UP.

The point is we can take the taxes from NV and always have access to all the shit in the region we want. Not that we are going to develop the land immediately.

Also, securing the land like this would give the Followers of the apocalypse a place to move to since it was implied that at least some of them dislike the methods used by the NCR and would gladly support our rule if we can show we are doing good and shit.
>>
>>1471510
We don't NEED to grow it until we return, Its fine as is. We have made a symbol. We can use that when we return.
>>
>>1471513
The stats are more for my benefit than to explain really, lets just say the statement of "twice as smart" is not very inaccurate at all.

>Can you clarify why you "absolutely need this" to such an extent that there can't be a compromise?
"If you do what I think you want to do, and that's just activate his army and try to rule over Nevada, you will unleash such chaos and be compelled to deal with it that neither you nor your followers can effectively proceed with the plan.

I sort of need your followers here at BigMT as well, or rather, not at BigMT but likely in a nearby town. Their skills would be very useful and it would be easier to protect your people as mentioned."
>>
I just though of something funny.
>Cottonwood disappears but New America radio is still in the air.
>People start to get mad about us suggesting a new that mysteriously left.
>Then suddenly the voice changes. It's the courier.

>>
>>1471575
I'm not going with the brain if i can't get the Securitrons.
I retract my earlier vote.
>>
>>1471558
My point is this:

If we don't do anything either the NCR, Mr House or the Legion becomes the controller of the Nevada region.

If we eliminate Mr house and get Yes-man set up, we can be certain the area remains outside of their control.

This means that, even if we don't make use of the securotrons, the tax money from the casinos or anything else, we still expend less resources when we try to capture the region properly and entirely later.

It also breaks the Legion's strength and ruins the NCR's morale, economy, army and much more. Seeing as they have poured a large amount into this region and the war. The loss of even 10% of their armed forces would be crippling for them.
>>
>>1471582
So wait, You would rather go with Mr. House's shitty Securitrons, then go with better Robotics? Under OUR own control and Not yes man's who is stated to be editing his own programming?
>>
>>1471590
Yes, it's faster and can be later upgraded with the followers and Big MT.
>>
>>1471573
>But it'd work great in a hypothetical timeline where we might've only used the Securiton forces to make the Mojave independent, right?
The best I predict you could manage is a stable Vegas, which House is already capable and achieving us. Surrounding territories, deprived of either NCR or Legion supply chains and infrastructure (seeing as you so decided to skip all the plans I had at least for replacement infrastructure) would likely devolve.

As it stands, Old Mormon fort is likely to be overwhelmed by the violence and instability of outer New Vegas alone.
>>
>>1471587
I am fine on how we capture it, I am talking about making the lives for the people of the Mojave better right away, instead of in 5-6 years
>>
>>1471582
I am with this guy.

I retract my vote, at least until this matter is clarified.

>>1471590
He wants both! But he wants to be sure that we have a actual functioning army before we start gallivanting off to grab pre-war wunderkind technology to make a "better" robotic army.
>>
>>1471590
And how the hell is it under our control when it's our brain directing them? The same brain that refuses to go back to our skull and insults us at every turn.
>>
>>1471595
its NOT worth it. You would rather have chaos reign then our people protected and stuff.
>>
>>1471603
Which is why we either be VERY wary on how much we listen to it, or we don't at all and we do it ourselves
>>
>>1471597
They will be better right away, there will be no risk of the Legion coming and conquering their shit and I can say for certain that we will need places to perform...combat testing with out new robot designs.

Also we will want to continue clearing shit out just for the fun of it and to get our arm back in shape.
>>
>>1471596
What were those plans?
>>
>>1471603
>>1471605
I'm unsure why the hell everybody is against listening to our guys brain when it is ACTUALLY on our side.
>>
>>1471604
Nigga it's Securitron army, both options give our people protection.
>>
>>1471603
>Brain
"I'll remind you that you permitted me this, it's not like I could stop you putting me back in that cranium.

Am I really hurting your feelings? Well, I had hoped our little jests and jabs were a sign of honest amity."
>>
>>1471604
But Chaos will reign as all of the Mojave will sink into chaos
>>1471606
Like I said earlier, it will be chaos as QM even said, so if we are at Big Mt. fucking around, we can't temper it
>>1471609
kek but I don't think it actually is. Why would it be?
>>
>>1471610
>Going with the inferior option for no real good reason, That will cause mass chaos and make things harder for us.

>>1471613
Thats why we go to MT, clear it out. Our PEOPLE won't be effected by it and we can send out proper teams to help secure it. We won't risk our civilians if we go with MT, but we do if we go with Secrution route.
>>
>>1471603
>>1471612
Couldn't we have convinced it to get back in our brain earlier, but we opted not to because it was better doing other stuff?
>>1471612
>Well, I had hoped our little jests and jabs were a sign of honest amity."
No hard feelings, just tough when you're worrying about the existence of your new nation that was recently threatened a few turns ago.

How much time is in a turn, is it abstract? I'm not sure how we quantify those statements in a conversation.
>>
Wait...can't we just make our better robots and absorb the upgraded securitrons afterwards?
>>
>>1471618
I am talking about the Mojave, not Big Mt. It is not fair to throw them into chaos and not help
>>
>>1471618
>The Securitron option is inferior.
Ha ha, this vote is for starting location not better stuff >>1471484
>>
>>1471613
So our choices are thus:

1) Don't set up Yes-man and don't go to Big MT

2) Set up Yes-man and don't go to Big MT

3) Don't set up Yes-man and go to Big MT

4) Set up Yes-man and go to Big MT
>>
>>1471624
Correct. >>1471484
>>
>>1471630
It seems like that's about it
>>
>>1471624
That's what i want but we have to move our guys for the Big MT option.
Hey wait a minute, can't we visit this option later?
>>
>>1471607
>What were those plans?
"I had initially went along with your plan of conquering the Mojave from within the Mojave, through your acquiescence to allow me to suggest pathways involving advanced technology to strengthen your cause and, in time, recruit and also strengthen other factions until you eventually molded the Mojave around yourself. Even so I noticed a distinct limitation in that certain aspects of technology or faction integration, such as the Chinese, weren't very appealing to you.

But no matter what at least in that plan there would be a stable infrastructure to replace the NCR and Legion. Just. . .unleashing the Securitrons like that, even upgraded, only gives you war machines. Certainly you can beat off the other factions with a stick, but it doesn't at all alleviate the other problems that comes from depriving the Mojave of the resources and supplies of your neighbor rivals. I don't imagine House even built enough Securitrons to secure all of Mojave and not just Vegas itself."
>>
>>1471636
Oh. Then fuck this trepidation.
Let's go with our brain for now. We'd still have Yes Man in our pocket anyways.
We can go grab the securiton army when we get our superior robot army up.
>>
>>1471624
>Brain
"This is the default plan I would prefer, but by all means it is your choice."
>>
>>1471646
Supporting then you beautiful mass of gray matter and mentats.
>>
>>1471624
>>1471162
We could, but our brain didn't want half-measures, which is the problem. He wants us to go all the way to the BigMT and possibly divert our attentions from gaining the securitrons in time for the Hoover Dam.
>>1471629
>>1471484
I think making the BigMT our base of operations would be better though, even if it might mess up the initial timing.
>>
>>1471641
But we are integrating Technology and the Chinese, we have come to an agreement of making a high tech nationalized welfare system and absorbing the Chinese in exchange for Vault 3 and their traditions.
>>
>>1471651
But like >>1471641
said we are really screwing over the Mojave by not putting our full attention there
>>
>>1471628
Then don't throw them into chaos.

>>1471629
>A place known full of high-tech stuff will be unable to produce superior robotics.

>>1471646
Its wining votes brain, Let's get this show under way.
>>
>>1471641
>>1471646
Hm, alright then. I'll go with this plan of making a more secure state before springing our control for Hoover Dam.

>>1471654
That was before I saw his plans for why he wants us to go to the BigMT so badly.
>>
CAN'T WE JUST DO THE BIG MT OPTION LATER FOR GODS SAKE I WANT TO PLAY THE QUEST NOT ARGUE EVERY LITTLE THING AD INFINITUM!
I go to /pol/ for that.
>>
>>1471652
"That's if you decide to stick with the Mojave plan.

I actually have an immediate use for the Chinese here in BigMT if you decide to go with the "Robot Plan" and that would be to secure a town(s) nearby for your settlers from Cottonwood Cove to live in.

BigMT is not a safe place for humans at this point of time, though that may change."

>>1471654
"In a sense, both options are putting your full attention to the Mojave. One just takes longer than the other, but might result in far better control and ability to stabilize the other.

It isn't as if there's any way to instantly fix all of the Mojave's problems as it is.

It's a matter of time and investment, I suppose."
>>
God am I going to have to count and recount these votes and switch votes, I'd almost wish i could ask for just a straight up "revote and link to this to help me finalize" but I'm worried that will just make it more complicated.
>>
>>1471660
>Then don't throw them into chaos.
Then we don't take over the Mojave?
>>1471663
What were his plans then? Because it seems that we are letting the problem fester for a while, or putting off the battle for a long time, which means anything could change
>>
>>1471664
The majority want it, and doing it later LEADS to the chaos, the brain wants to avoid in the FIRST place.

>>1471671
You did, Its currently 3-5 votes for yes, and 2 votes from what I've seen so far for no.

>>1471673
What? Who the hell said that. We can take it over without causing the chaos he is talking about.

How?

>>1471671

Nah, I think we're good with the Brain for now. He's shown us his plans so we know that it isn't some Think Tank-level shenanigan that's going to happen.

>>1471673
From the looks of it, move nearly everyone to BigMT, integrate all our allies into a cohesive culture and make cool shit, return to Mojave once new nation isn't going to degrade into infighting.
He doesn't want us to split between the Mojave because we'll be expanding too fast for ourselves to form a cohesive identity and infrastructure, from the looks of it.

What, you mean giving him control over the robot army and a large amount of our administrative planning doesn't sound like a good idea?

>>1471758
>Anon. He wants control.
It was a joke. Of course letting him change his own programming is going to raise a bunch of red flags.

>>1471758
>Why does that matter? We're gonna return and secure the land. Longer this takes the longer it takes to finish. With all our people working on it, we should have it done quickly.
Battle for Hoover Dam is our best chance to quickly get rid of all our competitors.
>>
>>1471691
No.
>>
>>1471766
Not to me, remember this is a brain as power hungry as our own, why wouldn't he want to be in charge, If we out hum back into our head though...
>>
>>1471766
Get rid of our competitors in the Mojave. Then leave us with a big stinking mess with only war machines to deal with it while we are surrounded and our enemies prepare another attack.
>>
>>1471772
OH HOLD ON EVERYONE!
NEW IP!
I change back to >>1471692
Because this has gone for TOO DAMN LONG!
>>
Gonna tally, lets see.
>>
At this rate we are going to need to restart the vote...
>>
>>1471764
Why are we going to permit CHAOS, He even stated it'll let the NCR and Legion fuck with us while we attempt to fix MT after the battle. MT is a better capital anyway.

>>1471773
>>1471766
And QM stated Our ENEMIES won't take that laying down. Ontop of that, we're pretty much voting Capital and Yes Man Can't be trusted. Our BRAIN on the other hand, can be qickly put back inside of us.

>>1471780
No, its been done twice already. Fuck that stupid shit.
>>
>>1471780
No we don't, i'm the only one who changed my vote and that didn't last long.
>>
>>1471741
>>1471773
We could ask him? Can't we slap a brainwave analyzer or CT scanner to his Mentats Machine if we're that worried about him?
>>1471779
>>1471780
This is legit one of the most controversial votes I've seen yet.

>>
>>1471790
Mother of god.
>>
>>1471783
So then lets put the brain back right now so I don't have something to bicker about
>>
>>1471790
>PLEASE REVOTE HERE AND LINK

So you're saying the guy who didn't actually link it, counts? The fuck.
>>
>>1471790
>>1471778
>>
>>1471790
>>1471778
Anyways, he switched back so Yes wins by a tiebeaker.

>>1471796
You can link back if you want it to be registered. He just wants it easier to organize.
>>
>>1471797
He counted me anon >>1471692
>>
>>1471798
No he didn't, he switched back to No after another person said no
>>1471802
Ah okay thanks
>>
>>1471798
I meant more like, if they can't follow directions. Why count them? It was a simple order from the QM.
>>
>>1471786
>Brain
"...you really don't trust me, do you?

I'm actually hurt. Very.

If you truly wanted to do the most sure thing that would prove that I can't possibly mean you any harm, then put me back inside your brain.

*sigh*

I have enjoyed my time here, aware, but if this is what it takes.... But you won't ever be able to undo this."

Please don't vote on this per say right now, there's one VERY important vote that needs to be done first
>>
>>1471802
So you're switching back to No? Because he counted you under that.
>>1471805
Where is that? I must've missed it.

>>1471809
I trust you, but the other voices in our head don't because you're like us, I guess.
>>
>>1471809
Do not put him back inside, Jesus fucking chirst. And Yes won. Can we move the fuck on around. This is getting fucking stupid.
>>
>>1471809
"Nope. I just don't want to completely abandon the wastes...yet. Let me get yes-man in place and we can get started on your plans.

I just want to have some assurance that we can actually clear out anything deadly we encounter and that we have the numbers to threaten the NCR and Legion."
>>
>>1471805
He said here >>1471778
Unless I am reading something wrong
>>
Rolled 2 (1d2)

Okay, I'm going to do my own tiebreaker.
>>
>>1471814
>>1471802
>>1471805
Oh wait, I misread that. I thought it said Yes that he switched to earlier.
>>
>>1471822
Damn
>>
>>1471822
2 was for Plan B.

Welp. This quest is about to get metal.

Heavy American Metal.
>>
>>1471691
DO IT
>>
>>1471818
Op said we could use our brain instead >>1471741
I just WANT TO BE SURE we do Wildcard first.
>>
>>1471830
Thank fucking god, let us finally move on. This is was fucking stupid.
>>
>>1471822
So wait..who won?
>>
>>1471833
That's the debating process
>>1471834
Yes did

Our brains been nothing but good to us. It just wants to be a NEET and study
>>
>>1471830
>>1471834
Plan B's the brain I think, because he suggested it after we did.
>>
>>1471834
>>1471830
GUESS I CAN'T FUCKING READ
>>
>>1471832
Yeah it's my reason as well. I don't plan on focusing on NV, I just don't want either faction to get their hands on it without a fight.
>>
>>1471834
Yes won, we're going with the plan of metal and shit.

>>1471835
Debating implies either side would give, or logic was being used.

>>1471840
>>1471832
we have the chip, Its fine to do that after we're done here with MT.
>>
>>1471840
Me too.
>>1471830
Is plan B immediate or can we do >>1471741
>>
>>1471840
>don't plan on focusing on NV
What?
>>1471842
And logic WAS used
>>
>writing
>>
>>1471845
NV is good for certain things but I want to focus on the science side of things, at least for the next few threads.

>This is somehow the wasteland we're focusing on.
>>
>>1471856
Well what about the Empire we were supposed to be building? This will probably take a few years in game
>>
>>1471863
Well it sounded like he doesn't want to focus on NV ever
>>
>>1471864
Why would it? It took like 2 months at most to do what happened in New Vegas Lore wise. Theres no reason this would take years, We could have the bare min set up within a month at worse.
